Poor connectivity. This app used to be flawless, always connecting to my Apple Xs phone. Then Apple upgraded the iOS, and I’ve had nothing but trouble every since! Seems I have to manually connect for each phone call, and then at least one aid doesn’t connect successfully. I work, and heavily depend on this throughout the day. Im an IT guy, and keep things updated. I bought the newest, high end Oticon aids, based on my experience of my last pair. Im thinking of using them (they are in a drawer) to see if it’s aid model related …. Very frustrated!

Too many disconnects. About the March timeframe, my hearing aids began to randomly disconnect from my phone, either one or both. I have tried every remedy Oticon support suggested multiple times and it just keeps happening. Then I have to go into the settings- accessibility menu to reconnect, sometimes multiple times to connect. This is particularly annoying for phone calls. Despite paying $6k, if this doesn’t get fixed, I will be looking at a different brand of hearing aids. These are only 8 months old and are nothing but trouble. Contacted by developer and suggested I have multiple devices connected. I do not have multiple devices connected and have explained this in previous responses. Still very frustrated just like many others.

Keeps disconnected from iPhone. I just purchased oticon more last week. App just keeps crashing. Good news is I can triple click button on my iPhone and control hearing aids from there. How do you update this app as what is at the App Store just is poor. I had high hopes for app. I have deleted and reinstalled app but that didn’t help. At this point in time better using devices than this app. Update. I went back to my doctor and explained the problem and she explained how blue tooth works. I had both my iPad and iPhone with blue tooth turned on at the same time and the Oticon doesn’t work that way. You have to have it turned on only with the device your working with. That solved all the problems I was having. So now I would give it 5 stars.

App stuck (update after developer helped). This App was so useful until it got stuck on a “Pair your hearing aids” option which just appeared out of nowhere when I opened the App one day. My hearing aids were already paired but the message would not go away even after I deleted the App twice & unpaired & re-paired my hearing aids to Bluetooth (again, twice). Frustrating. Wish there were a fix for the problem. REVIEW UPDATE: the developer reached out to me right away about my issue and provided me with additional instructions on how to resolve my pairing problem (unpair & re-pair all devices my hearing aids were paired to). This worked!! and I’m once again successfully using the Oticon App regularly. THANK YOU!

It just works!. I find that this app works quite well. Unlike another manufacturer’s app I tried, this app connects to the aids as soon as it opens. It doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as some apps, but I find that it handles all the things that matter quickly and reliably. User interface is on the whole very intuitive. The only thing I would change is to include the things now in the quick settings - microphone level, background options, and input options in the main app. It’s confusing to look for settings in 2 separate places.

Handoff between devices is an awful experience. This review is for the app and integration into apple devices when used with the Real 1 MiniRite R. When I put down my iPhone and pickup my iPad, the handoff experience from one device to the next should be just as seamless as Apples AirPods handoff. I should not have to power the hearing aids off and on in order for them to connect to the device. Please work with apple to make these premium hearing aids the experience they should be. My Bose headphones properly switch seamlessly so it can be done with non apple devices.

Service Professionalism. Kristian had been my service tech. The attention to my problem was extraordinary. Very complete and precise instructions. My observation had been fairly frequent connection drop between my hearing aids and app. with four separate devices being involved. We were able to discover as to why, a fix was determined. A lot of hard effort was put into this, and throughout very professional. Best technical service I ever experienced. 5 star for sure.

Doesn’t Work. The app worked for the first 2-3 days after getting the aids, but won’t work anymore. To be clear, the aids themselves still work perfectly and iPhone settings still work, but the app doesn’t. I’ve tried everything to include, deleting and redownloading the app, repairing the hearing aids, etc, but the app just will not let work. My Oticon More 1s are connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth and all Bluetooth settings work, however, the app is still telling me that I need to pair them. To make it even more frustrating, the app can literally find my hearing aids location at any time, so it clearly DOES connect to my hearing aids. However, I have not been able to change the volume, check battery, etc, since the first few days. Side note: The fact that I couldn’t create an account via the app if I disagreed to you guys sending me emails is unbelievably scummy. I was only able to create an account after pressing accept to you sending me emails. These hearing aids cost THOUSANDS and yet the app doesn’t work outside of location finding and you can’t have an account without agreeing to marketing spam. Honestly unbelievable.

Still lousy. Was waiting and hoping app update would fix issue of aids constantly disconnecting from the app. It’s actually WORSE. I’m constantly having to toggle Bluetooth off/on, unpair/repair the aids, etc. aids also randomly turn off and on , mostly when streaming from TV adapter. I have latest iOS version and aids were replaced by Oticon in June so it’s not the aids. I don’t have aids connected to iPads or any other devices. Still very disappointed **so why is response from a year ago about firmware? Are you actually reading these reviews Oticon? Also not sure why my name doesn’t show up on review? Something about iPhone 4s not compatible? I don’t even have an iPhone 4s.

App is ok but needs improvements. I appreciate that there is an app to control my streamer and hearing aids. I really like the streaming equalizer and hope that a similar option will be made available to temporarily adjust the frequencies in different listening situations where I could try different settings to hear better. And of course those settings could easily be reset through a button or when the hearing aid reboot. Also, the seems to be a problem with my streamer and hearing aids rebooting which I understand does so mainly with iPhones. Please fix the issue. It is annoying withe the constant rebooting of both. Thanks Paul

Oticon app. I’ve used this app for four years. Typically does good for me. I would say in the 4 star range. But the past couple weeks the app just stays on screen that wants me to pair HA up to phone. But my HA is already paired up. I go through un pair process and start all over to no avail. Same ending the app waiting for HA to pair up with phone. So at this point the app is useless. So with my iPhone I put my hearing accessibility short cut for hearing connected to the three clicks on button on right side of phone. Trust me I’d rather use app, but till app is working I’ll just use the capable assistance that iPhone is giving to me to mute and control volume.

Great app and great app support. Good app haven’t had any issues in the last 5 years until this past week when the app was not working and I contacted support and spoke with Katarina who was extremely good and stayed in touch with me until the problem was resolved. Thank from satisfied customer What I really wish is that the app would update faster in regards to the active time of the hearing aids

Praises for Kristian, the Oticon Team. 2/1 pm…forget about all the accolades about this app. It is no longer paired to my hearing aides. I do not have the time nor the patience to go through a series of steps every morning to connect😟 2/1 am…I had problems pairing my hearing aides to my new phone. I sent an email to Oticon. I promptly received a reply with 1-2-3- instructions on how to do this. Also received a link to a detailed “Pairing Guide”, if I needed it. Thanks for the prompt reply and for the simple, easy to understand instructions.

Slow but works. I would give this app 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the app doesn't stay connected to my hearing aids all the time. When I open it to control my hearing aids, it takes a long time to connect to them, even though they are already connected to my iPhone. Otherwise the app works well and is easy to use. It's the only control that lets me adjust the volume on each aid separately or to just mute them (like when I'm using a hairdryer or food processor). There are controls built into the phone and buttons on the aids themselves, but they control both together always. And the buttons on the aids require pushing multiple times to the lowest volume. So I think this app is worth keeping. Developers, please don't ruin it like other hearing aid app developers apparently have done. I studied their reviews to get a feel for what other brands might be like. I think I'll stick with Oticon for a while longer.

Wonky to the max!. Rather fragile. Works great for a day two and then volume starts sliding up and down uncontrollably. Listening modes change unexpectedly also. The fix is to reboot your iPhone, which works for a day or two. They also suggested I unpair the hearing with the app and then pair again. Unfortunately the instructions they gave to do this make no sense. Still trying to figure it out. $1500 out of pocket plus the thousands my insurance paid you’d think they could do better. DO NOT download the app to more than one device (ie. iPhone and iPad, that really screws things up as they seem to compete. I am disappointed, however product support has been very attentive and sincere in their efforts to assist.

Oticon needs to update their App for iPhone 15.4.1. I recently updated my iPhone 13 to the updated iPhone App, as suggested by Apple iPhone creator. I can not use my iPhone any more to adjust my volume, or use the Oticon App find my hearing aids feature. I have deleted the Oticon Open App as suggested, then turned off my iPhone, then reinstalled the Oticon Open App, ALL to no avail. I still do not have the much used Oticon sliders bars to adjust my Oticon Hearing Aids. This happened once before about 4 years ago, and when I Nextel did an iPhone recommended update, I was able to use the Oticon Open again. Could Oticon PLEASE UPDATE THEIR APP TO KEEP UP WITH THE IPHONE UPDATES. Thank you Oticon, my Hearing Aid Specialist tells me Oticon is the best Hearing Aid for my hearing loss.

Constantly unpairing from my phone.. These hearings aides and app are trash. I have had these hearing aids for a week and at least 2 times a day the one or the other side will constant disconnect. I have to either unpair them and then re pair again or take both out and put them in a charging case and then put them in my ear. The hearing aids constant come out of my canal and if I push them further in. The my ear canals hurt. I have complete restored my phone and set up as new and this still happens. For the cost of hearing aides this should not happen.

Keeps disconnecting from iPhone 14. They paired easily and simply when I was fitted for my hearing aid. It worked for a day and after that it disconnects from blue tooth. I’ve tried powering the phone off and on, turning Bluetooth off and on. None of the hearing accessibility settings have changed. I’ve had this hearing aid for 24 hours and still have to pick up my phone or use speaker. Judging from the other complaints, this is a known issue by the developer. Why is this not being fixed? Are you unable to fix it? Or do you not care because you’re making so much money by selling the hearing aids? This app has one job! Ugh!!

Fabulous product. I absolutely LOVE my hearing aids. I was born prematurely at 3 1/2 pounds 2 months early. I have been hard of hearing ever since that day. I read lips all through school and colleges. I finally have purchased Oticon hearing aids. It has been a life changing experience ! I just had cataract surgery so now I can read without glasses and thank God I can HEAR! Oticon service is the BEST! The company replies immediately to any online questions a customer has!!!

Apt Confusion. Through support, I found out that my apt confusion was caused by having both my phone and iPad paired to the apt. I tried the apt reload to no avail; turning my aids off and on; turning the Bluetooth off and on with no effect. Once I did a “forget this device reset” it worked better but not perfectly. The volume on the apt control would move independently w/o my input. I took my aids to my audiologist and she wiped my aids and reprogrammed them and everything has been reset. The apt works flawlessly now. I have also experienced the battery drain and perhaps this may have been caused by the apt being confused by two devices and by its working overtime to connect to one or the or the other. My rechargeable batteries have failed after two years and the price of a new pair is outrageous! $275!!! I paid $65 for my old ones!

Good, But Room For Improvement.. “Oticon On” offers a feature to track missing/lost hearing aids. That is a good feature. However, if your wearing hearing aid(s) and you walk too far from smart device that has the “Oticon On” app installed on a device (ie: phone), there is no alert in the hearing aid indicating your too far from your Bluetooth signal. This can help users prevent loss of the device. A nice feature would be a “Loss/Reconnection Of Bluetooth” from your smart device. If you’re out of Bluetooth signal range, the hearing aid(s) would make a sound alert, signifying you’re out range from smart device. If you come back into your device’s Bluetooth range, the hearing aid(s) would make an alert that Bluetooth reconnection has been established. Just like the hearing aid traker, “Oticon On” should allow the users to set the device tracker to On/Off.

Mute/Unmute Issue. My Oticon More Minirite R hearing aids are an improvement from my old Resound Linx2 hearing aids. Until several weeks ago, they have been working fine since I received them several months ago from the VA. Lately, then started producing what I thought were undocumented sounds. At first I thought it was a rechargeable battery issue, but I later discovered the software was muting and unmuting at unpredictable times. It is annoying. Could be the recent software update is causing it. I have an iPhone SE2 with the current IOS installed. This issue happens several times a day, usually when the batteries still have at least a 40-50% charge remaining. Hopefully, this will be resolved in the next software update. Otherwise, I may return the hearing aids.

iPhone and Bluetooth speaker. They were quickly responsive to my question on how to play music from my iPhone to a Bluetooth speaker without having to turn off my hearing aids - prior to their solution I had to either play music through my aids OR the speaker. I am so happy to have this dilemma solved. I can now play music at dinner parties and still hear conversations clearly:-) BTW, Oticon aides are fabulous and I like that I can also control them using my iWatch. The instructions should’ve been in the manual;-)

The app continues to malfunction but the hearing aids are pretty good. Although the hearing aids aren’t giving me the battery life promised, getting about 17 hours max if I do little or no streaming (rechargeable promised 21 hours regardless of streaming), and have done since brand new, that is usually not an issue but the app hangs and requires a phone reboot at least 2x a day or it won’t register the actual hours my Oticon More 1 aids are worn. Today, though I wore them 16 hours +, the app quit working again at 6.5 hours and I didn’t check it, so that’s all it shows for the day, making the app a complete waste of time. It happens every day since the last iOS update when users were promised full compatibility. Previously it happened once a month or so. There is no reason this should be happening and the app should be at least able to access the same hearing aid data the hearing center specialist can see when they check the aids every few months. It should not make a difference if the customer is logged in to the app or not, especially once an account is connected. Read the aids or dump the app.

App is stuck. The app is stuck all the time at 18% whether the aid is connected or not. In fact it says it’s not connected, it still says it’s 18% and it is connected. The app is useless. Freezes until it’s re-paired and then only for a short time. Remote control never works anymore. And the hearing aid drops periodically. Sometimes I have toJust put it in the wireless charger for 10 seconds or so and then back in my ear and it works until the next time it drops. Other times, if I tap on it when it’s in my ear it will come back. At the times when I actually have to put it back in the charger, after maybe two hours of use, and it dies – if I’m not home I can’t put it in the charger so I’m stuck with a dead hearing aid until I can get back home For the money, I’m very disappointed. I would not recommend this hearing aids to anyone

Oticon App. I like the ability to control my hearing aids through the Oticon app as well as the ability to also use the buttons. I recently had a connectivity issue and with the assistance of Oticon customer support was able to correct the issue by deleting one device. I understand this is something being worked on between Apple and Oticon and look forward to being able to use more than one device with Bluetooth capability. Other than that I have enjoyed being able to switch programs and adjust volume setting through the app.

Great App. Myrna Copeland March 5, 5:40 GMT I lost my hearing aid tonight and didn’t realize it until I went to take it off. I went into panic mode fearing that one of my three dogs would find it before I did. I looked all over the house. I really didn’t think I was going to find it and then it occurred to me to see if there were any apps that would find hearing aids. I typed in Otion And to my surprise, there was your app. I found my hearing aid about 15 inches from my dog who was sleeping facing away from it. I thanked my lucky stars and I’m thanking you. Great App!

Better customer support. Oticon on has greatly improved and tech support actually gets things done. I notified them about a problem with the hearing fitness and total time of usage. I emailed them and got a quick response to my issue. Katarina kept after the problem and after several days the problem has been totally resolved. I love my Oticon hearing aids and they are still excellent today. I will continue to enjoy support from the tech personnel. I appreciate a company that stands behind their products.

Oticon easy to use. I have learned to use Oticon’s app to control my hearing aids quickly as I move from one environment to another. The communication between the app and hearing aids is quick allowing me to keep in the conversation smoothly. The company communicates with hearing aid users through app notifications allowing them to keep us all informed. I love how Oticon products have helped me!

Nice companion app. I find the Oticon App useful as it allows me to adjust my hearing aids without having to manually push the buttons on my More 1, especially when I’m wearing glasses. I do find however that I lose connectivity when I want to stream if I step away from my iPhone. Seems there is a problem re-establishing the connection when back in range.I would really like it if Oticon would provide more ambient sounds like thunder storm, rain forest, birds, ocean, and more. The brook sound is nice but not enough. Also please expand the equalizer for more than just High, Mid and Low. We nead more frequency adjustment sliders.

Oticon hearing aids life-changing. So grateful to have my Oticon hearing aids. I have mild hearing loss, so these hearing aids have really boosted my self-confidence in social situations. My only problem is when I become separated from my iphone and it rings — my husband can answer and speak to the caller, but is unable to hear the response (relayed into my hearing aids); while I can hear the caller, but am unable to respond to the caller. Very confusing for the caller. Excellent and speedy support from Oticon peeps via email. 😊 Kiwigal1

I love all the features available through the app. The Oticon ON app greatly enhances the experience of having hearing aids. The “FIND MY HEARING AIDS” feature is terrific as is the “MoreSound Booster” to cut down on background noise when you are in a conversation with several people. I also really like the ‘microphone’ feature where you can put your iPhone at a distance from you and it works as a microphone, making it easier to hear a conversation at a distance.

App not working. I have tried everything to get the app to work, since the last update for my iPhone and nothing is working. I have deleted the app and reloaded several times. I have followed all the steps to pair my hearing aids with the app, but nothing is working. It just stays on the page on how to pair your hearing aids. I just want to be able to use the app again, because when it was working it helped me adjust the volume of my hearing aids, be able to talk on the phone and hear people, and know when someone was trying to reach me on my phone. Now I can’t do any of those things because my hearing aids will not pair with my phone. When I go to accessibility, hearing aids, it shows my hearing aids are connected and paired with my phone, but the app will not work. I hope someone can help me.

The app has little function. The app can’t do much show you battery a volume control. Find my hearing aids is handy. And is important But if it will not connect to one or both hearing aids you can’t see why or do anything but restart your app and aids. I have issues with my left hearing aid not connecting to one device. But it connects to the other. The right always connects and the left is new. My old left had to be replaced it did the same thing as this new one does. Lasted about 3 yrs and stopped working all together. I need to be able to turn Bluetooth off individually with the app. So I can tell if one is working or not on the diffent devivices. They always connect to my iphone now. But left will not connect to my iPad and I use it often. I am almost deaf in my right ear and that aide is almost useless.

Convenient and Efficient. I have had my Octicon hearing aids for over a year. They have literally changed my life. My one regret is that I had not gotten them sooner. Regarding the app, though, I appreciate the simple design/layout and the ease of operation. Many of the functions in the app can also be performed via iOS but the app acts like a shortcut and provides additional features, as well. In closing, one recent issue I addressed through a review was answered by the developers. As it turned out, an iOS update was needed to squash the bug and restore the functionality I had grown accustomed to.

Mark. I might give it 3 stars if the hearing aids didn’t cost so much. I bought these about 3 months ago. I mean for that kind of money the app and Bluetooth connectivity should work without glitch, but they are pretty sketchy, glitchy. They usually only connect to my right ear which is my bad ear or they don’t connect at all. They seem to just connect when they feel like it. They should connect 100% of the time for that kind of money. It’s ridiculous!!! I either need another new pair or they need to fix the connectivity!!

Good - could be great. I really like the app and use it several times daily. Tech Support is fantastic - especially Tishi)! I too have experienced the random mute/unmute and random volume changes, etc. when both my iPhone and iPad are connected. I frequently switch back and forth between my phone/pad and it’s a PIA to remember to keep turning off Bluetooth each time I switch. Also, it would be really helpful if Oticon would inform users upfront rather than each who experience it have to do back and forth with Tech Support to determine the solution. I also would like to have the streaming fine tuning capability on my Opn’s.

Highly recommend. I’ve been using this app for at least three years and really the only reason I gave a four star rating instead of five star isn’t Oticon’s fault. I gave the four star because of Apple’s updates. I use this app from the time I get up until I remove my hearing aids at night. I use the app to raise and lower my input volume and to switch between tv mode to normal mode and I also use the mute in the app for loud situations, like mowing the yard, makes my hearing aids like ear plugs. And what I also like very well is Oticon’s great customer support. Thank you Oticon

Apple Watch, volume adjustment too sensitive. Having access to this app on my Apple Watch (series 7) is super handy, but the thing I use it for the most, adjusting volume, is really difficult due to its sensitivity. You turn the bezel knob on the watch to make the adjustment and usually I only need to change the volume by one number up or down, but to do that is nearly impossible. I overshoot both ways EVERY SINGLE TIME. Back and forth, back and forth to get to the number I want. 😠 It doesn’t need to be so sensitive that you go from one end of the scale all the way to the other in one scroll. If the developer is reading this, please tune down the sensitivity of the volume adjustment bezel. Thank you

Great for iPhone and Apple Watch. You may not need this app as much if you’re using Apple MFI controls, but if you want a few more controls, it is very good. I especially like it to turn down one ear in restaurants, etc. and still hear the conversation. If you have an Apple Watch, it’s great! Easy to control your hearing aids (I have the Oticon More), and quickly mute and unmute them. Think about working with power tools or mowing a lawn. Very fast and easy to mute them and return to normal when you’re done. It’s up to you whether to use them in social situations!

Works fine when it actually connects. The app works fine when my hearing aids (more 2 minirite) are connected. One or both will disconnect frequently even after updating to iOS 16. Sometimes restarting the hearing aids will reconnect them to the app, sometimes it doesn’t. My hearing aids still work, but the app is unreliable. ETA: I have a new phone (iPhone 14) and it’s updated to iOS 16. The app still disconnects frequently throughout the day. I’ll only get audio on videos from one hearing aid or it won’t play through them at all. When I take my dog for a walk, it will cut out constantly and I can’t enjoy what I’m listening to! It’s very frustrating!

App not working! Now it is!!!. Last 5 months have noticed my app opens with a “Pair your hearing aid(s)” screen with instructions for pairing! They are paired with my Apple iPhone!!! Can no longer change programs or adjust volume with the app! I am using Oticon Ruby 2. Started out very pleased with all of the apps functions, including finding a lost hearing aid, but unless this is resolved, I want be able to recommend Oticon!!! Read another review and followed instructions on unpairing my hearing aids on my iPhone in the Accessibility settings and Hearing Device setting. Did that, put my hearing devices in the charger and took them out to reboot; went back to Settings on my iPhone under Accessibility and Hearing Device and repaired my hearing aids and app is connected to my hearing aids!!! Raising my review to 4-stars!

More control over your devices. If you had more control you could get better results. Coming from Resound to Oticon this is a downgrade in the app. The control for the tinnitus allows +0 to -5 what a crap range. Let me fine tune it a bit more so I can help my audiologist, then save it. Let us save a profile so once we fine tune these to what we’re finding in the real world results are we can go on with living. The resound app is WAY better with controls over your 2000+ dollar devices. Allow us more than +4 to -8 or 0 to -5 on volume and to save a custom profile. These would be MAJOR improvements especially the profile one for the tinnitus sufferers out there.

Working Perfectly Now. The TV adapter streaming default volume setting is at the highest (loudest) setting. The comfortable adjustment I set to enjoy a program on TV, used to have to be readjusted each time I received a text, notification, etc, due to the volume and equalizer returned to the default settings. Happily, app support immediately reached out and gave me several options to correct and avoid my issues. I now set my volume and equalizer that is comfortable for the program I am watching and then go to settings on my IOS and turn off Bluetooth. Wa La, no longer having to readjust the volume. When I am no longer watching TV, I go back to settings and turn Bluetooth back on. This has taken care of all issues.

Good and Bad. Great you can control the hearing aids from the app. However, one the boost doesn’t work. But The biggest fault is driving in the car. The phone Call goes to the hearing aids instead of the car audio system. So you have to look down on the app and switch to the car system each time which is dangerous. They should allow the call to default to your car system versus the aids. It’s difficult to talk or hear with the background traffic noise on the hearing aids.

Problems Muting and inadvertently disconnecting. I’ve used this app for years with above average results for years. Now I’m having lot’s of problems. 1) the aids disconnect and turnoff inadvertently without an apparent reason; they mute and unmute unpredictability requiring an app restart and restarting the aids; the aids start inadvertently squelching and switching back and forth between both channels requiring a reset. Just crazy stuff. I’ve avoided saying anything thinking you would make adjustments to no avail it’s still happening even twice today. Please get this fixed.

Frequently disconnects. I have been wearing Oticon hearing aids for many years now, and this app has never stayed connected. When I go into accessibility and hearing devices on my phone, my aids are connected fine. Lately, the app has been indicating that one aid has significantly lower battery power than the other. So much so, that it always looks like one ear is close to going dead and the other ear is at 100%. I have rebooted time after time and they’ll both say 100% but then if I go into the app again, it’ll say one ear is like 10%! I finally deleted the app.

The best!. Been wearing hearing age for 40 years. These are the best in the business. I Donely are they durable and powerful, an airplane can fly overhead and I can turn around and spot it because these aids make it possible. The Bluetooth function is used every time I look at my phone. Crystal clear and still able to hear surrounding sounds. I highly recommend Oticon hearing aids and this app.

App. Don’t know if these hearing aids are junk or if it’s the app, have to get several calls before the app will find the hearing aids and connect and about half the time I’m on a call only one of the hearing aids will be connected. I have disconnected them from phone and powered them on and off , and there is still no pattern to how they are going to work each time. There’s no kind of noise filter to turn on and off , my last hearing aids were a different brand and app, had filters for restaurants and streaming device for television. I would not recommend this brand of hearing aid or the app to anyone. REPEAT, DO NOT BUY OTICON OR THIS APP.

Issue with text alerts. It was nice to be able to hear my phone in my hearing aids (my previous Oticon hearing aids were not Bluetooth enabled), but I discover it caused an issue with alerts on my iPhone. I could not figure out why I was no longer hearing an alert when I received text messages when my phone was locked. Through much testing and research I figured out that when I had Bluetooth enabled, I would NOT received alerts. If I disabled Bluetooth I would receive alerts. I had to uninstall Oticon app and everything worked fine after. Very disappointing to say the least. So, no Oticon software until that is fixed

Works sometimes. This latest version only works sometimes for me I keep getting messages that my hearing aids not compatible with the app. Yet other times it works . Frustrating older app was simpler and heaps easier to use. Getting a pairing is often difficult

This App will lead to major hearing damage!!!. no response to previous complaints from tech support!!! Ever since we got the app, the TV volume resets to MAXIMUM volume, every time a notification comes in or when you interact with other apps.

We’re is the controller to adjust noise and ecc. I can't find the screen, to adjust noise variation and bass, mid range, treble

No Bluetooth connectivity. Could you please offer advice. My hearing aid has lost its connectivity and I can’t use the Bluetooth function. It used to work really well and I was very impressed. Now it says disconnected even when I have it turned on and I can’t locate it in the Bluetooth device list.

Not working on iPhone 12 Pro with OS 14.1. I have just upgraded my phone and the hearing aids go to static. Can be corrected by turning aids off and on. The static can return. Effects phone calls, music, YouTube, but have not yet checked Oticon TV. I hope this is resolved quickly.

Some good & Some real Face Plant Dumb stuff too. The bits that work are good. The dial to increase or decrease volume is handy. The ability to select programs for settings is fine. Then there is stuff that almost works. The battery indicator is a joke. Batteries which are at 40% suddenly start the next day at 90% for no reason. The accuracy is highly erratic. Finally there is the broken stuff. Connecting to other things like TV is offered but utterly unusable. No guides or useful functions here at all. Ignore it. This is an app which promises more than it can deliver. Use the good bits and ignore the offer of connections via IF. There is nothing of any use there at all.

New update has made life hell!. Since the last update (Oct 2019) the app plays up like crazy, constantly disconnects my HAs, constantly changing the volume control on its own accord, usually it changes between -3 to -8. Sometimes I can even watch the app make the changes right in front of me. It is so frustrating constantly having to reconnect HAs and manually adjust volume level just for this app to change it again. Emailed developers and after a delayed reply offered no help at all.

Background noise. Was able to delete background noise? How is that now done after the latest update ?

So much promise, such disappointing delivery. The functions offered with connections to Apple devices are brilliant. In the real world, the HAs disconnect from the devices so frequently, quickly and apparently randomly that the functions are as good as useless. Why have these clever people bothered with developing the functions offered if it must be clear the them that they just don’t work? Stick to using the HAs to help with hearing problems and you’ll have to be content with that.

Good but could be better. I find the battery level indicator (especially for left device) inaccurate. Putting new batteries in it shows <100% on the left, swapping batteries over it still shows the left less than the right

Disapppinted. I changed the batteries and the App read L 100% R 90%. Swapped batteries over to the opposite sides but still had the same L & R readings! Also, Hearing Fitness doesn’t update. Still a bit of work to do on this App ...

Painful. This app seems to rely on MFI to work. I have trouble every time getting MFI to pair, so then of course this doesn’t work so both are useless. IOS11 and the earlier Oticon App never had this problem. It’s all a step backwards for me. Would like to say I’m happy with this but I’m not.

TV Adapter Streaming - environment volume control does not work. While in the TV adapter program and streaming sound from the adapter the environmental volume control doesn’t work. The streaming volume works, however when trying to adjust the environmental volume it also adjusts streaming volume (and not the environmental microphone volume). I’m hoping this feature can be fixed.

Oticon App Update - 10/19. My world came crashing down on me this morning when I tried to use the new updated app and it no longer works. I am vision impaired and can no longer use the app. Please give warnings in future before complete changes to the app.

Impressive app with Oticon More, and even more so for being accessible with Voiceover for the blind.. To begin, I am completely blind and use the Voiceover screen reader on my iPhone. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that developers appear to have made efforts to make the app almost fully accessible, meaning that I can access the More sound-booster, or play around with streaming equalisation without much trouble. Barring a few missing labels, and inability to tell how far I have increased or decreased treble, mid and low frequencies from the defaults on the streaming equaliser, it is completely usable to me. The developers should be commended on this, as it wouldn't have been an easy undertaking, and is one that is sadly lacking in all other hearing aid app companions, to my knowledge. One thing that would bring my rating of the app from a 4 to 5 would be an ability for the user to have more autonomy with hearing aid settings. This could be done through a similar control to the streaming equaliser control, and an audiologist could set parameters so that it is safe. It would be fantastic to experiment in different environments such as seeing live music, or going into a very noisy room to maximise the aids' performance quickly to complement audiology set-up. All in all, well done.

No Pairing. Unable to pair my hearing aids to the Oticon On App. Have contacted my place of purchase and been informed that the problem is with the firmware. Can you please rectify or suggest an alternative solution.

Hopeless.. I have tried two iPhones and the app just stays on the screen “how to pair your hearing aids” I pair them but can’t get back to the main menu and they immediately disconnect.

Not great. This app works with my iPad, but will only recognise one aid on my iPhone since the last update, therefore it doesn’t work at all on the phone. And that’s where you need it to work. I only use it to connect by bluetooth to an Oticon TV adaptor which does work quite well.

Backward step - bring back version 1!. Version 2 has taken a massive step backwards. Far from giving me discrete ways to adjust my aids, it now takes longer to adjust aids due to more taps/swipes and specificity of where to tap for volume etc. I’ve sent detailed feedback. If I could return to version 1, I certainly would! Meanwhile, I will be using the in-built controls on my aids from now on. In fact, I'd probably delete the app if it wasn't for the find my aids feature.

Doesn’t work on iPhone since latest software update. Please update app to work with IOS14.0.1.

App no longer works. Updated to iOS 15.4.1 App will not connect to hearing aids. Yet iOS is happily working with hearing aids.

App. App won’t work after the iOS 17.1 update, I really on this app, can you please fix the issue ☺️

No longer supported in iOS 17. App does not function in iOS 17. The new Oticon Companion app is not compatible with my hearing aids. My choices are now to buy a new pair or deal being unable to make adjustments. Anti-consumer behaviour.

TV adapter support. I had a problem with my tv adapter after having my hearing aids adjusted. I had fabulous support from the Oticon support team. My emails were answered immediately and my problem solved. Their patience was marvellous and so much appreciated, especially when others had given up on me. Thankyou Kristian.

Awful App.. Keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth and sometimes is extremely difficult to pair again. When setting the volume at a higher level, it cannot be made permanent via the app, it must be done by the audiologist at the cost of an appointment. I sincerely regret purchasing this brand.

No longer works!. Needs an urgent upgrade as it no longer works with current IOS!

App keeps crashing. When I first installed this app, it was working fine. However over the past few months, when attempting to open the app, it keeps crashing. Is there a bug that needs fixing? I’ll give a better rating once the app bug has been fixed.

Great support. I have had great support in getting the Tv adapter to work with my hearing aids. The support person was very patient with me and gave lots of solutions. In the end it was my fault that I hadn’t connected the TV adapter correctly. 5 stars for the support person. Thanks

Update Needed!. Guys if you don’t get your software to work better you’re really going to start losing business as other Ear Device manufacturers will start to overtake you. Almost every morning I have to reconnect & pair my HA’s to my iPhone and some days it takes so long I give up. Yes, I’ve followed all the instructions to the letter. I’ve turned my phone off & restarted it, I’ve had Wi-Fi on and Wifi off, I’ve had the HA’s ‘selected’ but then they won’t pair. I’ve even tried BT off. Occasionally when everything goes according to plan, I’m like “great, I’ve finally worked it out” only to have them drop out an hour or three later. It’s so frustrating as I rely on listening to my iPhone/iPad A LOT and having to take HA’s out to put headphones in and then taking them out to put HA’s back in is driving me insane! From reading some of the other reviews I don’t think I’m on my own here either. Thankfully I still have these on trial so unless something changes in the next week it’ll be a NO from me!!

A wrap for the App. Today, I inadvertently dislodged a hearing aid in the garden, when removing a mask (a known CV19 hazard). Initially, I didn’t realise! I went back hours later, and with “find my hearing aid”, located the aid among leaf litter, in minutes. Well done, Oticon On 😊

Hopeless app. The reviews say it all….. The worst possible app After several weeks still no improvement-such a pain Some reviews go back to almost a year complaining about this disastrous app and still nothing done to rectified Another example of corporates out of touch and lack of care for their customers The genius who worked on this app hopefully has been dismissed without any remunerations

Tony. The new app is atrocious. 1 extremely slow 2 continually disconnects 3 features that make absolutely zero difference to the sounds I hear 4 GIVE ME BACK THE OLD APP PLEASE. $13,000 for hearing aids and an app that useless

Latest version is a downgrade. One reason I chose Oticon for my new HAs was the that the paired app reviews seemed to be the best of those on offer. Version 2.0.0 is a backward step.

Idiots discontinued support. Now I can’t stream my tv anymore. Idiots

Bluetooth Disconnects. Have had Oticon Own 2 hearing aids for a couple of weeks. I am very disappointed with the Bluetooth connectivity. While streaming music I have to hold the phone in front of me. If I have in my hand by mi side or in my pocket one or the other hearing aid disconnects. This is extremely annoying. You would think with today’s technology this wouldn’t be an issue. Fix this please!!!

Update request. Please update the app to work with iOS 17

Used to work well, now crashes. Now crashes when I open in iOS 17! Fix please. My hearing aids won’t connect to newest iPhone with iOS 17. Disappointed!

Oticon. The worst app I have ever encountered. The original app included with my purchase of expensive hearing aids works just fine. Oticon has a new app which they want me to download and will not let me log into my old app. The new app cannot be downloaded without a password that I forgot my password option when attempting to download does not work, so the app will not load and makes my hearing aids useless. Still want to own Oticon hearing age? Not me.

Won’t work with my new phone. I bought an iPhone14 pro max and now my ponto wont connect to the app

App doesn’t run - can’t leave demo screen. Followed directions. Paired it with the phone. And then the app stalls out.

Hearing aids Not connecting properly with my phone and iPad. I’ll have “stream to left and right hearing devices selected and it will randomly connect or disconnect from my devices… I’ve never had this problem until about a month ago…it happens more frequently when there’s no Wifi connection.

Oticon hearing aids continuously disconnect.. Have had my Oticon hearing aids paired to my iPhone for 2 1/2 years without any problems. For the past two months they disconnect after every use. Make or receive one call and the entire pairing process has to be repeated. Hearing practitioner and Apple haven’t been much help. Only did the same procedures that I have been doing. Getting rather frustrating when no one seems to have a fix for something that was working perfectly fine for years.

Won’t stay connected.. Since upgrading to iPhone 14, the hearing aids will initially connect during a phone call, then drop on and off repeatedly forcing me to manual deselect Bluetooth and restarting my cell phone. Never had this issue before but I’m at the point now of delegating the app.

Test before installing. TV also oricon receiver. Have to keep deleting and reloading to get both hearings aids at same time

Hearing aids. I am unable to connect to iPad. It worked before the most recent update.

Very Disaoointing. Continuously disconnects from hearing aids. Constantly need to connect to aids. And it connects very slowly.

Not connecting since last iPhone update. Not sure what’s happening, purchased my earring aids 3 years ago never had issues. All of the sudden they are not connecting to my phone anymore, and if they do it last the days and issues start again the next day. I really need these for work and I cannot afford new earring aids at this point

Update your app. When do you plan on updating your app to work with the new iOS?

Do Not Recommend. App shut down for no apparent reason

App problem. after update does notbstream. my tv adapter tv3 worked well before but is now a boat anchor.

App doesn’t work. Fix it. Just gives the Home Screen picture and then crashes.

Oticon App not working. Updated to ios17 on my iPad and app quit working. Hope there is an update soon.

Doesn’t work anymore with hearings aids. It says it doesn’t support my Oticon hearing aids. The old app was fine and allowed us to connect to the tv adapter. Now we cannot as the new app says or hearing aids are not supported on Companion. Extremely bad move to release an app or a replacement app that has not been properly tested!!! You are really screwing with people’s lives!!!

Fix it!. This app is very bad takes forever to pair and often need to delete and reinstall it. Very frustrating.

Not accurate. I just recently started using this app & I just put new batteries in 5 minutes ago & it’s reading the batteries are at 50% then a minute later 40% then when I restarted the hearing aids it went to 70% then back to 50%. This is insane!

Won’t stay connected. I just received my new Oticon More and they will not stay connected to my phone or the app. I had no issues with the previous generation S3 aids. I find that I have to turn off Bluetooth on my phone and the turn it on again and open the battery door to restart the aids. Very frustrating. Also if they connect I sometimes only get sounds in one ear. Not really impressed with this model so far.

Terrible. I use to have the previous version of this software and I had no problem . Now I have this version and it is terrible loose connection cannot connect have to restart my phone to get the app to work

Terrible connectivity experience. I’m into year six of ownership of Oticon hearing aids. Over the years, they have been very poor, as far as maintaining connectivity via this app. Three different iPhones, and who knows how many different versions of iOS and the Oticon system still gives a substandard level of useability. Many times a day, I see that one or both hearing aids is/are disconnected. This requires a massive amount of babysitting for these over priced devices and the undependable hearing aid experience before I can even make or receive a phone call dependably and get sound from the hearing aids to the iPhone. Opticon developers?? Do you not get the picture of your app only having a 2.3 rating which is essentially a garbage rating???

Not working with my iPhone 17 os. Not working with latest iPhone update

Constantly disconnects. Cannot go ond hour without one or both hearing aids disconnecting. Deleted your app

Disconnect randomly. The app will not stay connected to the hearing aid for long. Either one or both hearing aids disconnect from the app. I have to shut the iPhone down and restart again. Very frustrating. Fix the app please.

Always disconnects. Paid 7,000 for the newest Oticon Real and there so is unreliable. Either the left or right disconnects and it is annoying to keep reconnecting. I have iPhone 14 pro max with undated. This problem has been for months. Disappointed a larger profitable company like Oticon continues with there bad rep for this app

Volume. The volume on the Watch app is much too sensitive. It is impossible to change the volume to -1 directly. It goes to -2. The only way I’ve been able to dial -1 is to go to 2 and down to -1.

Very bad app.. No possible connected with your app. De plus vous ne vous donnez même pas la peine de répondre au message français.

It works sometimes. I have been using the app for 2.5 years now the app randomly keeps disconnecting from the hearing aids when using it also disconnects after closing out of the app . Please fix

Extremely Frustrating !. The old app worked just fine. This new one sometimes connects one ear, not both and other times neither ear. To reconnect (per instructions) by putting them in the charger is also a complete hit and miss. Sometimes they connect other times they don’t. It is aggravating enough that I will consider other hearing brands next time if they can’t get this sorted out.

What happened? I just got these hearing aids.. What happened? Was there a software update because now I can’t use my hearing aids on my phone and I’m deaf blind I need this.

Need update urgently!. This is health tool, people rely on it in their daily lives. It’s not working since ios 17. Updates should not be this slow for such a tool.

Won’t pair. Just had one of my hearing aids replaced. Now the new hearing aid isn’t recognizing by the app. How do I change the serial number from old to new so the app will work?

Needs updating. iPhone 15 user here and ever since the switch the app doesn’t even open. Please fix as I can’t control the hearing aids at all now. And it’s very frustrating not being able to switch the settings I need to switch.

No Longer Stays Connected. Oticon needs to update their app to reflect whatever changes Apple has made to Bluetooth. It’s clear they don’t keep up.

Does not work with iOS 17. It’s been weeks since iOS 17 came out and comments about this app no longer working however there has been no response from the developer of this app.

App not working under IO 17!. When will there be an update?

Does not work. They were working get now I can not even connect to my hearing aids this sucks

Excellent support. I couldn’t be more impressed by the support. My issue was the app kept disconnecting from Bluetooth. My enquiries were addressed in a timely manner. The issue was an interference from my iPad. Once I unpaired the iPad it has worked seamlessly. Thank you.

DJD Ottawa. This app is presented as a great feature by Oticon at the point of sale. And to some extent it is. However I expected much more sophistication from such a large company and an expensive product. As an example, Oticon may want to take a close look at companies such as Apple for examples of how apps can function reliably with Bluetooth technology.

Is it the phone or the app?. I’ve had this app for 3,4,maybe 5 years, just got new hearing aids. If I stream music or the phone into my hearing aids it kicks me out of streaming, or just won’t connect. Senior Delenotios

App quit working with iOS17 update. Had been working relatively well with my Siya2 hearing aids for the past couple of years. Updated to iOS17 and now app hangs on opening screen then shuts down after roughly 30 seconds. The good news is my hearing aids still connect to my phone, the bad news is now the battery monitor, program change, and individual volume control among other in-app features are lost. Two stars are likely generous for something which no longer functions.

Disappointed. This app worked flawlessly with my hearing aids. On my wife’s new set its a whole new nightmare to keep the streaming working. She has a new iPhone 14 pro. The streaming stops for no reason. We fiddle with it forever then touch the mic button several times, as we fiddle, until a screen to select ‘streaming to’ comes up. Then we select her hearing aids and it works for awhile. The hearing aids won’t sync on her two year old iPad. We removed and installed the app twice, rebooted the iPad and did everything exact as we did on her iPhone.

Stopped Working. Since IOS 17 they have quit. .

Doesn’t work. This app will not connect to both hearing aids and will not work on Bluetooth anymore. It used to work much better but I cannot get any good and consistent response from the app on both my iPhone and iPad.

Stuck in demo mode. I have downloaded the app 3 times and been stuck in demo mode every time. What am I doing wrong?

App update. Why can’t you update the app so we can use it with ios17, surely the hearing aids at $5k a pair would warrant at least one app that works with the Oticon more 2 Please at least resign that your working on it and a eta of when it will work with my iPhone

Lost hearing aid. Used this app to locate a list hearing aid. I suggest everyone who has a hearing aid to make sure you try this app with your phone before you actually have a situation that you lose a hearing aid. The time to know how to use this feature is priceless! You all know how much hearing aids cost and. This app will help!

Just what I wanted. I love being able to connect my phone to my hearing aids. I listen to music while trail walking or working out. I also used it for phone calls while out since my car doesn't have Bluetooth. I've had no problems with connecting or anything else in the 9 months I've used this.

Problems. Hi I’m a long time user of hearing aids and recently in December I got some new hearing aids the Oticon Opn Play 2 PP and they worked very well with the app and for Bluetooth but recently I’ve been having problems with the Bluetooth and the app just doesn’t seem to help and I need my hearing aids for everyday use and for school but I haven’t been able to use the connection mode for the listening device for the hearing aids.I am very disappointed in Oticon about the fact that their hearing aids are just not good. Sincerely Random Deaf person

Please update your app. I’m having all the same problems others are writing about. Random program and volume changes, chimes indicating shutdown etc. I thought it was my devices. Glad I thought to check the reviews here. It is unacceptable for you to tell users to uninstall and reinstall the app or repair devices when there’s an iOS update. You need to keep up with apple. Pretty sure my next hearing aids will be OTC. these are my second pair of Oticon. When they work and the app works, they’re great. Too bad Oticon doesn’t appear to care about making a stable app.

Companion. Are you kidding? Worst app ever and they won’t let you have the previous app that performed flawlessly for years. This “companion” is no companion of mine. The app continues to drop one or the other hearing aids from connection and can’t reconnect unless you delete the app and reinstall it - this is what they call an improvement??? Give me back the Oticon On app and I’m happy - if not - I’ll stop using all Oticon products and purchase hearing aids of manufacture that has its own app. Oticon is just wasting my time constantly installing the app that constantly never works - no stars ….. Steve

iOS 15.4 “broke” connectivity with my Oticon hearing aids. After updating my iPhone SE 2020 to iOS 15.4 the Oticon ON app will not connect to Bluetooth on my iPhone; however, the iOS 15.4 update on my iPad Pro has not affected Bluetooth connectivity with my Oticon hearing aids. FIX: With hearing aids turned off go to Settings - Accessibility - Hearing devices and remove / forget hearing aids. Close and reboot iPhone. Turn on hearing aids and reconnect in Settings.

Love App. Love this App. Works well for Volume adjustment, but would really like to use the equalizer to adjust the individual 4 Programs to my liking. Going to audiologist and having them make adjustment in office, doesn’t replicate hearing environment at home. Equalizer is already in app for streaming audio, so it shouldn’t be hard to give us the ability to tweak our programs at home to our liking.

This app is worthless. My hearing aids are synced to my phone - I can control them with my phone by going to settings/accessibility/hearing devices. But when I open the Oticon app to try to use that for adjusting my hearing aids I can’t get past a screen telling me I need to pair my hearing aids with my phone. They already ARE paired. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, turned my phone off and on and done the same with my hearing aids. Nothing makes the app recognize my hearing aids. It used to work but not anymore.

Oticon on. A few months back I jumped up to the Ponto 5, iPhone and the APP was setup by hearing center. All seemed to work fine for a while switching into all three area’s/zone hearing areas and then stopped cold. I could hold a finger on the APP to edit and jump into three zones. But no change. Thinking I left the microphone at home and traveled out of state. But all seems locked up. I’ve never made a bad review on a product and it may be something I did or changed but on downloading a different APP called Oticon it all worked fine so it has to be the “Oticon ON”APP has just stopped working for me.

Disappointed. After spending an atrocious amount of money for my Oticon hearing aids (my money; not covered by insurance), I expect more from the Apple interface with my iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Air 4. It crashes, it goes totally wacko, my hearing aids shut off all by themselves and won’t reset unless I out them in the charger... just off the top of my head. I’ve had Oticon top-of-the-line hearing aids since 2002. I’m so disappointed in these new ones and the app. You can do better.

Connecting to watch and ipad. I do like the idea of receiving calls and listening to music and podcasts and for those, this app works well. However, i cannot get it to work with my watch. I get a visual of a watch, and x and a phone bur no connection. I am using iphone 11. When I try to put the app on the ipad, it only streams one ear unless I turn off the blue tooth on the phone then the watch gets conflicted. Hmmm. When I call service, I get no answer, just music. What do I do?

Autocon hearing aids no longer working with old app. So I put my hearing aids in today and started the Oticon ON app, and it tells me to get the new app. So I install the new app from the App Store and it tells me my Oticon hearing aids are not compatible with the new app. Also, I can no longer use my hearing aids with the old app. It just tells me to get the new app which doesn’t work with my hearing aids. Thanks Oticon for nothing. Fortunately, for me, I can still control my hearing aids with my iPhone . Please either fix the new app or change or update the old app so that I can still use it with my hearing aids.

Frustrating!. My doctor just downloaded the app on my iPhone7 and I’m having so much trouble with everything on my phone now! My sound has gone out completely and I can’t watch Netflix or any videos with sound anymore! I have been wearing them daily for the last three days, yet they only record a couple of hours each day instead. I sent a long email of additional items I’m experiencing so hopefully I will receive a response soon. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled to try to get my audio fixed. I’m so frustrated!

Awesome app!. This app is one of the best on my iPhone. It’s intuitive, and provides an amazing degree of control over my More 1 devices. When I switched to a new phone, the audio streaming did not work consistently until I figured out the devices needed to be unpaired from the old phone. Once done, everything just worked. I couldn’t be more satisfied!

Worst hearing aide ever. I literally hate these hearing aides. They do not mute sounds in the general environment when listening or talking no matter what settings I or my provider tried to adjust the settings. I even found a setting on my iPhone that said to block surrounding sounds, however, it was to no avail. I paid $ 4200 for these Oticon higher level device. I really, really want my in the ear aided back. I could certainly adjust them. Also, your App doesn’t work either. I have to constantly delete and reinstall every day to wear them. Oticon you dropped the ball on these aides and App

A Disaster for Television Streaming. In spite of app updates Oticon still has not addressed the problem of the volume returning to the highest level if you receive a notification. If you don’t mind someone screaming in your ears go for it. My wife & I will not be repeat Oticon customers. After working with Oticon Customer Support, they confirmed my rating. The only way you can avoid getting blasted is to turn off Notifications within the iPhone settings. Oticon is not willing to address the problem within the Oticon app. If you are considering purchasing the TV adapter Buyer Beware!

App is near useless. While the hearing aids themselves work quite well, the app ‘Remote Control’ is like trying to reset my devices with a rock. It will not turn on hearing aids that have somehow turned off; the ‘Settings’ feature will not affect settings in any shape, manner, or means; my devices did not work during a trip to Canada; and one morning, all I heard was ‘Rain’ background noise when I put them on. It could not be turned off until I put the devices back in their chargers. This app has a very long way to go.

Used to work…. …but not now. This app ignores one of my aids completely, and I need to adjust volume separately as my hearing loss is asymmetric. I have an older version on my old iPhone which still works as it used to. This one does not. So Oticon really no longer has a working app to control my aids, making it useless. Update Dec 2021: so I contacted their “support” folks, who went immediately to their script instead, asking me to do again what I had said I already did. Surprisingly, this produced no useful results. Have not heard from them since then.

This app needs serious improvements. When used to connect to your TV, the volume comes on at the highest level. This also happens after you end a phone call and TV sound comes back on. Be prepared to lower the volume if you are sensitive to loud noise. Also, don’t depend on the section showing the remaining power level of your batteries as it will drop precipitously in a matter of days or even hours

Oticon not responsive to user complaints. Both the Oticon On and the Oticon Companion have the left and right reversed on the screens, from what the hearing aids are, and there is no way to correct it. The service/ dealer personnel claim they have complained for more than a year, with no resolution Also the right aid repeatedly drops off my iPhone and has to be rebooted, if one wants to see / control it… been going on for more than a yr.. despite repeated upgrades. Not the best / most responsive system on the market … for the money… paid 6 grand

Doesn’t pair with iOS 15.4. Oticon ON is a very basic control app for the Oticon More, a very expensive but very good hearing aid. And now it doesn’t hold its pairing with iOS. I think Oticon needs to up its game if it wants to stay in this particular field at least as it relates to Bluetooth and iOS. What is interesting is that most of the functionality in the ON app is already in an application which you can already use on your iPhone if you just touch the ear icon in the control app. Try it.

Fails to work with ios. Stopped working once ios 15.2 released. Worthless app now. Oticon responded? Even their response won’t work as link. I am tech savvy and have unpaired, paired etc etc, deleted app, reloaded app and app continues to dump the pairing or turns off hearing aids randomly. Apple (which I do trust) continues to state Oticon needs to update their app. My hearing aids are less than a year old and I bought them partially to have a working iOS app linked. Very frustrating! Now, I just control my hearing aids through iOS accessibility. Please update your app, Oticon!

Way better than the new version. I was always OK with the Oticon ON app, but I “upgraded” to the replacement app because that’s what you do if you’re into technology. Upgrading was a mistake. The new version has fewer features including the loss of the Apple Watch complication. Making matters worse, there’s something wrong and/or unstable with the replacement app. It regularly loses its connection to my hearing aids, and takes an unacceptably long time to reconnect - or fails entirely. Fortunately it’s easy to go back to the Oticon ON version. Just delete the new app and reinstall ON. Get it together Oticon. There’s no own excuse for releasing a less stable, less functional “upgrade”!

Please fix!. The app was working sufficiently well before your last update. Now it refuses to “pick up” or reconnect with the remote tv adapter which connect my hearing aids to the tv after long pause in the program or stream. It continues to display that another issue is preventing your connection. Afte taking the batteries out of the aids and reinstalling them the issue is resolved. As you might imagine this has become quite tedious!!!

Hearing impaired. I love my Oticon hearing aid and had hope this app would help me control my hearing experiences in different environments. However I find that the hearing aid is constantly disconnected, and it’s impossible to get out of the DEMO MODE. This app is very annoying and frustrating. Oticon On your response to update my phone to IOS15.4.0, and go to “Home” of the app and press the escape “DEMO MODE” button does not work… and it is not a temporary problem, but an ongoing one as experienced by many users of your app. You need to fix this bug. Thank you.

Very poor app. We just purchased the second pair of Oticon hearing aids for my wife who has severe hearing loss and cannot state how disappointed we are with them. They are the MiniRite model. We can never get them to pair with my iPhone which is model SE. sometimes they pair at other times only one will pair. Most of the time they just do not pair at all. I have updated my iPhone but cannot see anywhere where we can update your App. Very frustrating to say the least!

Frustrating disconnects. I have the same problem that I have seen many post here. It works fine for a while until it doesn’t. When it disconnects you can’t even get past the main screen. I unpair, forget this device on my iPhone, delete the Oticon app, reinstall. I have looked on the Oticon website to no avail. Still doesn’t work. Very frustrating! It shouldn’t be so difficult to restart the app when it does go down. Please TRY and fix so it is more user friendly and simply useable.

IOS 16.1.1 Help. After updating to IOS 16.1.1 the Oticon hearing aids isn’t compatible to the update it causes the IPhone to disconnect my hearing aids, thereby having to reinstall or pair the hearing aids to my iPhone 12 over and over each time I want to use my phone and hearing aids together. After more investigation I found out that Oticon updated their software without any notification making the Oticon hearing aids NOT compatible with Apple’s 16.1.1 IOS update. You have to have your hearing aids software updated at your Oticon hearing aid place of purchase in order to get full functionality.

Issue. I am disappointed in the way this has gone it has too much update and not letting you know of that also I have to restart the program it was better working when it started but now it’s not doing so well so I cannot rate this beyond the two star and wondering what you can do to better improve the service I do need this program to accommodate what I need it for but the other problem I do not need to be frustrated about it .

App usage. As I did not have a compatible device previously, I had my hearing aids for 2 years before I was able to use this app on my new iPhone. I now use it everyday and I would be lost without it. I use it for volume control, sound booster, as ear buds for music, streaming video and watching tv with the bluetooth adapter and it works perfectly as intended.

Latest upgrade has issues. The connection between my hearing aids and the app worked fine until the last upgrade. It takes several attempts to make the initial connection each morning and one or the other aid loses the connection several times during the day. I have enough trouble fighting to hear. I shouldn’t have to fight my hearing aids as well

Others have difficulty hearing me. A surprising and unexpected issue is from family and friends telling me. Am almost inaudible when using the blue tooth connection to my hearing aides while on phone calls with them. I have to switch to regular iPhone or speaker phone and am told that makes a tremendous improvement in them being able to hear me. How can that be corrected?

Good and Bad. Great you can control the hearing aids from the app. However, one the boost doesn’t work. But The biggest fault is driving in the car. The phone Call goes to the hearing aids instead of the car audio system. So you have to look down on the app and switch to the car system each time which is dangerous. They should allow the call to default to your car system versus the aids. It’s difficult to talk or hear with the background traffic noise on the hearing aids.

Buggy. The hearing aids work but the battery life is not what I was told. I am one 3rd set and they already almost dead in less than two weeks and that doesn’t count set they came with. The app is showing the have been them 9 hours today before 9 am and I don’t wear them overnight. I walk every morning and multiple time during my walk either one or the other or both disconnected. I will be changing to a different brand of hearing aids, hopefully their app works better.

😊 Kiwigal1

Signal lost. When I received my recent hearing aids and my doctor told me about this app and how I can use it to help me hear on the phone. With my hearing loss talking on the phone has always been a challenge so I was very excited about this app. But this app does not stay connected to my hearing aids, so I’m constantly having to restart my hearing aids so that they are connected, sometimes my hearing disconnect during a phone call. When you offered the trail app it worked very well, I did not have to restart my hearing aids constantly to reconnect them. Please fix this problem!!

VERY Difficult to use. The app won’t go to the correct page after doing everything that is asked to get my hearing aids paired correctly with the app. I have followed the directions exactly and It keeps telling me to come back to the app after pairing, which I’ve done repeatedly, and it won’t allow me to to get to any other page to make additional adjustments to my aids. The instruction page to pair your hearing aids will not clear and allow you to get to the page to make adjustments. This app needs updating!!

No Bluetooth With Every Apple Software Update. Come folks, it’s about time Oticon/Apple get their act together. We continue to lose our hearing aids with every upgrade. We certainly pay enough money to both of you. Your customer service in replacement warranty was abysmal where I spent 6 weeks without a hearing aid. Then the battery in one of them is defective and now the frequent upgrades issues. Don’t care how many celebrities fawn over these, there has to be a better product out there.

Background Refresh/phone battery usage. Since installing the app I have experienced higher battery usage on my IPhone and Apple Watch, requiring me to recharge them during the day. A bit of investigation showed that the OTICON ON app uses a lot of battery power in the background, and that background refresh can’t be turned off regardless of IPhone settings. Why is this necessary. Since I don’t find the app all that useful I am considering deleting it to save power.

Excellent customer service. I recently upgraded my iPhone and was having difficulty pairing my hearing aids with the new phone. I had gotten completely spoiled before being able to listen privately through my hearing aids. Anyway all it took was a simple email to walk me through the process and I am a happy girl again! Thanks!

Sketchy at best. I have had these Hearing aids for a week now, and I must admit that the remote control is ineffectual and spotty when giving me stereophonic sound when linking to my iPhone to listen to books, music, or podcasts, and the volume can never go high enough to listen in my car. I expected, and was promised that that would be the case, so I know the hearing aids were paid for by my insurance company 100% so I can’t complain about the price so I’ll shut up
