Almost great??. 🖤 it’s simplicity and clean design! Hope they can fix some issues ... for one ... Rain alerts seem Intermittent ... been on off thunderstorms here all day today and yet not one alert .. i have distance set at 30.

Ok. The only main problem I have with this app is that when I check the map for rain storms I want to know where it’s at Now to where it’s going...NOT where it’s been & move up till the time it is Now...

Lost money!. I bought the full version for a month to try the application, and based on the experience of use, I subscribed for a full year. But there is a problem after payment, which is that the application is still the free version, and I cannot benefit from the paid features. I hope to solve the problem, !

Disappointed. I am in emergency management and need an accurate and trusted weather app on my phone. Unfortunately, this is not it. Even after paying for the premium service, it fell short. The interface is nice and simple to navigate. The radar accurately shows where the precipitation is at, but at the wrong intensity and that is why this app doesn’t work for me. The important part is the data and this is where this app fails. It is important to be able to see the intensity to properly plan for what’s coming, but this app is always showing intensity colors of yellow and red when in actuality it is a light rain. I even changed the minimum level from all to light rain, and I saw no difference. I e played with other settings and still no change. I really wanted to like this app, but I can’t. It is not a good app if you are trying to coordinate severe weather response.

Disappointing. I purchased a year of premium access after my preferred weather app Dark Sky was discontinued. I didn’t think it would be such a high bar to meet, but even after paying the updates have been lacking and sometimes inaccurate. For the first couple of months the radar would show several hours of future forecast in addition to the last few hours. Now there is no future forecast on the radar map. The daily forecasts only give high and low temps. There should be an option to see the hour by hour forecast. The amount of information available is limited when compared to the price of a subscription. I doubt I will renew after this year. Too bad.

Waaay too many ads. I like everything about the app other than the excessive ads while viewing the live radar.

Charged full amount and not the sale price for the yearly subscription. Why was I charged $25 when it said I could have it for $15 for the year? What happened to the 30% off???

radar is broken. hi , before 3 weeks i guess; the clouds radar is glitching or broken in (Saudi Arabia - Jeddah City) there is a long line of clouds and the app keeps sending notifications repeatedly saying there is rain outside , when it’s actually nothing out there.. please fix the problem and i tried to contact through the email but i didn’t get any answer. again please fix the problem thank you .

Disappointing experience after the newer version. ( This review is for the iPad version of the app) I have been using RainViewer for years now, I was once a subscriber during its old new to the stage era, but lately, with the new versions of this app, my experience has been disappointing, to say the least. While the app provided me with a fast and easy user experience, it has since become glitchy and unresponsive. One of the main issues I've encountered is that the app often freezes and takes a long time to load. This can be frustrating when I need to quickly check the radar. Additionally, the app sometimes restarts every preset or setting that I saved before. Another problem I've noticed is that changing layers doesn't work very smoothly, it takes ages to load satellite images on 1 Gb of internet speed. Furthermore, the app's user interface is not very intuitive and looks bad. Especially, the city's hourly & daily weather information page. Overall, While it may have been useful in the past, the glitches and problems I've experienced make it too unreliable to rely on for accurate weather information. I hope everything gets addressed and fixed soon, to bring this app back to its former glory.

Amazing. Just moved back from Oklahoma back to Poland and loved RadarScope there. This one is really good and only one so far I found that has radars from Poland. I wish resolution was a little better and option to see velocity.

Not worth the price. I downloaded this app and bought the subscription just to find out it didn’t meet expectations. I requested a refund which was denied twice. I use the app for less than 15 minutes buyer beware. I am now using CARROT which is way more feature rich and less money.

Accurate push notifications. Thanks for very accurate rain push notifications in main area.

Always flaws. This app is imbedded into out local news station and it never works right. Whether stopping in the middle of the radar progression or always zooming back into where I don’t want, this needs to be redesigned to be more flexible, reliable and user friendly

Why did you stop subscribing?. Why did you stop the subscription when it expires on May 4, 2023 ?

Getting worse. Alas, I have to say this once excellent app is deteriorating fast. Now the map barely loads, it remains blank for minutes on end, as others have noticed you get jerky, unreadable squares instead of a smooth image - it’s pretty much getting to be unusable now. What a shame. Someone took a great app and turned it into crap. I don’t really understand why.

App update = subscription only. Another decent weather app that went the way of subscriptions. Not sure where the “recurring expenses” that many apps claim are coming from. Didn’t give a second thought to deleting this one!

Rik. I signed up for Black Friday special, after help from the company was able to use the premium version.

Very disappointed with the surprise 2.0 upgrade. I wasn’t aware there were major changes from version 1 to 2. I purchased version 1 because I could save animations to gif and various video formats. Version 2 no longer appears to have these features and the new radar map is like looking through a kaleidoscope which is basically useless to me. I reached out to support but they have not responded. I wish they would put version 1 back out on the App Store as version 2 seems like it should still be in development. Thank you for responding! Aug 10, 2020 Severe weather this evening and all weather stations nationwide are offline. Not reliable! Can’t believe I paid for this. Aug 11, 2020 Appears to have been resolved quickly. Sept 8,2020 Weather rolling in and not getting radar updates in a timely manner. I can get the same service through other apps for free. This will be my last review update. Thanks for the ride with a horrible ending. Don’t waste your money.

Extremely disappointed with Version 2. It was a great app, until V2 came along. I can’t take GIFs of Radar animations or anything like that, nor can I go full screen. Also, even with radar smoothing on, the radar data is extremely pixelated. Please revert back to Version 1!!!

Apparently it’s always raining. I got this hoping it would be a more accurate predictor of rain starting and stopping than the apple weather app. When I first got it, my area was having lots of rain and it seemed pretty good. But I keep getting notifications of it raining about 1-5 times a day WHEN THERES NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKY. Maybe it just got lucky at first bc of the season I downloaded it in. Became so annoying I deleted it.

Battery drain!. This app was responsible for a horrific amount of battery drain that I've been tracking down for a while. It was responsible for 25% of my battery drain while running screen off! This is according to battery app from iOS. Deleted it and my battery now lasts a full day again.

Poor accuracy of the map. I like the look & feel of the app, the radar map with precipitation direction is one of the best I have seen. However the map is too often terribly inaccurate. When it is raining outside, the radar map shows that there is no rain nowhere close to my current location. All the other weather apps installed on my phone are clearly (and correctly) display the rain on their radar maps but Rainviewer insists that there’s no rain whatsoever. Also, I found strange inconsistency between the app radar and widget radar map - it’s not the same and the widget tends to be more accurate. Wrote feedback to developers but they did not care to respond. Money spend on yearly subscription was not good investment.

The most accurate weather.. I was a dark sky user for years, and when it was bought by apple I was hopefully their weather app would be as good as the original. It wasn’t. I tried out roughly 7 different weather apps comparing them to the actual weather outside and this has been the single most accurate app I have used down to the minute. Every other app but this one failed to change its predictions and would tell me it was raining when it clearly was not. This should be everyone’s default for weather.

Love it, but…. Is the radar widget supposed to work on the Home Screen with iOS 16? It’s just black. I can’t get it to work and can’t find a list of premium features. I won’t pay for premium just to find out.

(Not working at all in lPhone6)- FIXED. I said app was not working at all in iPhone 6. But just now this has been FIXED right after an update. So I understand it was my fault (although I think it should keep working until such update). Thanks support for the patience.

You had one job. Past tense, I’ve already deleted the app. Location set to ALWAYS, but the app doesn’t update your location unless you manually tell it to. What use is this? #FAIL Response to developer’s response: no, I’m 1000 miles away meanwhile, it does not give me precipitation notifications for the correct updated location. I’m getting notifications for somewhere else. This app is only relevant to someone who stays in one location.

Future forecast?. This app is missing only future forecast; if that is added it will be near perfect!

What happened??. My phone recently upgraded to the newest version and it’s awful! This used to be my go-to app that i had previously given 5 stars and shared with everyone for all weather but after the update we’ve rendered it useless. The timing is off by an hour or more. It never fully loads so i can see the weather from 2 hours ago but not at present. And it’s choppy. The smooth animation is gone on what I CAN see. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled to no avail. My husband, kids, and friends are having the same issue with theirs. So sadly we’ve all had to switch. Please bring back the old!

Needs Work. Seems like a reasonable idea, but the app is not useful as correctly configured. By way of example, a few moments ago I was informed that it would begin raining in about 20 minutes. It’s been actively raining for an hour, and there has been a storm with some level of precipitation for 24 hours . Clicking over to the app the radar shows that we are squarely in a heavy rain zone. But the app wants to be sure I know that it really won’t start raining until 20 minutes from now — that was standing it’s on radar map, and the wet stuff falling on my head. Oops. Couple that with the fact that the app is just overburdened with pop-up ads and begs to install other apps, and it’s not worth the trouble.

Lightning. You fixed the decline button issue, thanks. Hopefully it’s possible to implement a lightning radar. For example whenever there is lightning nearby you get an alert/notification or see it on the map, it would be a really nice feature to have. Otherwise keep up the good work and again thanks for fixing the decline button.

Great, exept for 1 issue. When I open the app every time the backgroud map reloads when it shouldn't, because it's always the same and reloading uses lots of data. I am using OSM map by the way.

What dose a weather app have to do with this hate happening with Ukraine. I don’t understand why should apps be connected to support any country, I live in Belarus and work here and the app since that Ukraine and Russia thing the app stoped working in Belarus why???? What dose rain and weather update have to do with what’s happening, sanctions on weather apps will make them die because they can’t view the weather updates. Seriously

Radar colors are nice but features do not work. I paid for this app and have yet to receive even one rain notification. And when I open the app the radar is paused at the end of the loop rather than auto starting like I have selected in the settings. I wish I had my money back.

The app crashes after the 2.13.2 update.. Great app; it does so much more with local weather and forecast radar—good developer's response to my problem log-in problem.

Worths every penny. I can confidently say that Rainviewer is one of the most accurate rain radar apps. Completely relay on it while travelling with the family or business trips.

Ads are overwhelmingly. I understand the need and use for ads in applications that are free. However, this application takes it to an all new level. I have never in my life, viewed a radar and been interrupted in the middle of watching a radar animation to have an ad pop-up what's worse is they use the kind of ads used by other applications, like words with friends that make you watch a video. this shows the immaturity of the marketing and development people involved with this app who think that the more ads they throw at you the more it'll motivate you to purchase the ad free version. Problem is the opposite is true better just to leave the ads out altogether, and have the merits of premium featureswarrant and encourage someone to upgrade. This is no better than Clickbait articles that are full of advertisements and pop-ups. There are too many excellent weather applications available today. Maybe they should take some time and learn from those apps.

Saudi Arabia. Hi Iam subscribed to the application and my phone is iPhone 6 Plus ISO12 But the application does not work for me and does not detect rain, I do not know what the problem is, I want help

Fatal flaw. This app has one fatal flaw that kept me from keeping a subscription: every time I opened the app, I had to tell it that I wanted the forecast for my current location. Why isn’t this the default? It seems to be the default on every single other weather app I’ve tried. This is annoying, and there doesn’t seem to be any setting to change it. Also, a giant “NO” on my Apple watch face isn’t something I want to see. Why not just a 0% if there’s no chance of rain? I look forward to the developers response, since he seems to have responded to every other review. Maybe some of that time could be used to make your current location the default, or at least include a setting for it.

Disappointed with the 2.9 upgrade. I absolutely loved the app for quite some time (5 stars all the way), it was by far the best radar app on the market specifically because of the Worldwide coverage, HOWEVER, after I upgraded the app to 2.0 version for some reason the quality of the radar animations is WAY WORSE than in the previous version. It’s not nearly as smooth as it was before - lots of squares as if watching an old Atari game - it hurts my eyes. Why is it?? I was so disappointed that I spent last hour researching how to downgrade the app (no luck unfortunately). Hopefully it will get improved soon...

Quick and reliable. This app is awesome!!! The rain alerts are super quick and reliable. Perfect for planning outings with friends. Interface is easy to use and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

Difficult to use. Also doesn’t provide enough information- I couldn’t tell in a given day, whether or not it was going to rain. I want to know the likelihood, not just a rain symbol. I’m kicking myself for paying $10 for this app when the free Weather Channel app provides much more information. Wish I could get my $ back.

Always right. I love watching radar and seeing how it matches to the actual rain at my house. I have found this ad to be correct 99% of the time the hardest problem is light versus heavy rain However I found it to be correct most of the time the alerts also help me to know when the rain is coming but I need to do outside before it gets here standing application

Love everything about this app but one thing. I love this app but the one feature I feel is missing is being able to adjust the reflectivity. That’s the one feature that would help when a tornado is nearby

Rain Viewer 2.0 review. The app recently upgraded to version 2.0. Up until the upgrade it was worth 5 stars +! Useful, good user interface, and quite accurate given it is using third party data. However, since the upgrade the radar overlay is terrible. I don’t know if it is a glitch or bug but it just shows the same grid in a large pixelated format that just increases as you zoom out. Totally impossible to see what the radar situation is like. Have the developers not seen the results on screen? This is on an iPhone 6 running iOS 12.4 so fulfills the criteria to use it. So disappointed as it was a great app. Update: 5 stars! So within a few days of posting my review, the developer mailed to say the above mentioned issue was fixed and would be solved by upgrading to the new version. Did that and all previous issues were resolved. Thanks Oleksii. Keep up the good work!

Working again. I had a hard time getting the radar widget to work on my iPad after the last updates. Nothing but a gray screen. And because the widget no longer follows your location that had to be set up for a fixed location. But the widget did finally work and has been ever since.

Awesome App!! A few features lacking. This app is awesome!! There are a few features lacking however. Please fix this,,, there is a few radar stations that are offline in Canada. One of the radar sites specifically CXWL is offline however , it was replaced by a new radar band the station name is CASWL which now replaces the old CXWL station. Is there a way you could find a way to add this station to the map ??? Storm season is coming soon, also some suggestions can you find a way to add lightning and storm tracking symbols to your maps ??? Please let me know. Thank you!!

Sorry!. I’m deleting this App . Sick and tired of all the interruptions and Ads . I don’t even get one full radar scan before the Ads arrive and the soft porn that arrived today was the last straw . Totally unsuitable . Lots of excellent free competition available .

Little inaccurate. Today, it said fog, but there is no fog outside, LITERALLY NO FOG!!! A LITTLE INACCURATE!!!

Weather reports are excellent. Love this application compared to local tv apps.

Cannot restore purchase. Paid once for Pro version. Now it changes to monthly subscription. All my Pro features are gone.

Some countries not covered. In general app easy and simple to use but I travel allot and some countries is not coved with this app i hope this issue gets fixed soon :(

False Advertising. Paid $2.99 for premium version to get rid of ads - still get full page as well as banner ads! Ridiculous!

widget issue. the "Current Weather Conditions" widget only displays temp in Celsius. I'm happy to finally have a humidity widget for my lock screen!

Love the variety of radar themes. Classic scope radar theme with smooth radar is a treat for my eyes… love the blue/green… very nice😁

Horrible. I have paid for premium features. EVERY day it goes back to free version and ads. I have cancelled and am requesting my money back.

Advertising popups. Within the first minute of use an ad popped up covering the entire screen. Deleted and on to the next weather app.

Too many ads and pop ups. Way too many ads and pop-up advertisements on the free version to the point where it’s not usable. The radar also never works. I got it to work like once. Too glitchy!

What I Think. Really hard to use unless you spend the money for premium. Be nice to see wind speed and direction. Wind chill in winter heat index in warm season. Snow legend needs to show inches/hr for each color like it does with rain.

Names of the villages in the maps. I would like to add the names of the villages in the maps

Apple Complication. Love the app, but the complication displays military time, not standard time with no way to change it... Please fix.

No forecasts. The app describes itself as having forecasts. If that's true it's well hidden. This is nothing but a map.

This is not NOAA and is a tracking app. Not NOAA. Why the App Store allows this false advertising is a shame. Look at all of the information they glean from you. If it's free, you are the product. Delete

Paid for 24 hour forecast.. Radar was just showing 1 hour forecast no matter what I clicked. Cancelled the subscription and deleted the app.

Terribly inaccurate. This app is awful! I’m getting rain notifications when it’s clear skies. I don’t know where it thinks my location is but its notifications are inaccurate and unreliable.

Rain or Not. This is a great app, which would be made so much better, by showing another plot of rain probability along with temperature and cloud cover. It would then mimic the best weather site, NOAA and make your app the best thing for tablets and smartphones. Martin Hack

Great design but data way off …. … for St Paul MN USA compared to other apps and to reality. I would love to use this app but it’s failing the one key criterion for a weather app. I wish there were a way to choose data sources - perhaps that would help
