A little TOO minimalist?. This app gets the job done for sure. It’s got the basic weather information like temperature now and for the next few hours as well. You can also tap for more information. My only annoyance is that it shows the radar whether you bought the premium membership or not. If you open the radar tab, it urges you to join the “fan club.” Also, I’m a little disappointed that you can’t customize exactly what weather info you want. I like the minimalist feel, but what if I want some more specific information, like having a “Feels like” temperature for the next few hours? Conclusion: It’s a simple app, but maybe too simple for some people. When they say “minimalist,” they mean it.

Optimized weather forecasts in a beautiful app. I downloaded Hello Weather after a recommendation from a tech website I follow and I’m glad that I did. It has all the functionality and accuracy of Dark Sky in a much more readable and user-friendly format. The app is routinely updated and the developers seem to be responsive when it comes to problems or bug reporting. I still keep Dark Sky on my phone for the hyper-local precipitation notifications but I usually only use Hello Weather for checking what the weather will look like over the next few days. Highly recommended!

YES!. First of all, I have used all of the highly rated weather apps on the App Store in search of something that covers all my needs. This app comes very close. The home screen layout of information is the best I’ve seen. I have reached out to add pollen count so we will see how that goes. The dark mode is awesome and pure black is a great plus for my iPhone X. One great option is the ability to switch the source your info comes from, a great comparison tool. I work outside so accuracy is key. The use great sources too (dark sky, weather underground, accuweather, weather channel, and more!) the radar is basic and not up to par with other apps, something I also reached out about, but it’s ok. Ability to change speed of radar and look a few hours into the future would make this app stand above the rest.

Nice, simple weather app. I’ve downloaded probably more than half of the top rated weather apps available on iOS. This one is simple yet has most of the information I’m looking for. It seems pretty accurate in terms of temp compared to the other apps out there. I’ve only had the app a few weeks and haven’t decided yet whether to get the paid version (been stuck with other useless weather apps after purchasing). The widget for the app also updates when it should unlike the generic weather widget apple uses. I always had to go into the actual app for the widget to update which completely defeats the purpose of having a widget. Love this app.

Used to be better :(. I LOVE Hello Weather for it’s simple user interface and functionality. I’ve been using it for years. However in a recent update, they changed the default weather source from Dark Sky to Apple Weather — which is never accurate. I only noticed this because I knew where I lived had a severe thunderstorm watch…and yet after this source change, the app somehow didn’t even mention the possibility precipitation. 😬 If I wanted to use Apple Weather, I wouldn’t be installing alternate weather apps, would I? The way you can change this is by subscribing. I get it… you need to make money. I would gladly pay for this up front rather than shell out a subscription, though. We’re in a recession and this is a weather app. Even so, in principal, I think that was really not cool to pull the rug out from under us users that have been using this app for a while. I really loved these guys but now I’m just frustrated. I will probably need to find a new app. Just wanted the devs to know that I loved their product but this was disappointing.

Almost Perfect-Still wanting for notifications. I keep checking in to see if notifications have been added always disappointed when I find they haven’t been. It sure why they can’t figure out how to do notifications when literally every other weather app has them. Very disappointing. I have been a habitual weather app user I have changed my go to app numerous times and have tried all the major ones Dark Sky, Accuweather, Carrot, Weather Bug, etc. This is by far the best one and nicest design. The problem I run into is I live in rural area and every app had different forecasts so I would use several to try and figure out what the weather would be. Now I just need this one which I can check forecasts from several sources within one app... it’s brilliant! Only thing missing is notifications which I hope will come in the future. Otherwise nearly perfect.

You NEED This App. Over the years I have used about every weather app out there. They have all cluttered up my screen, killed my battery, frustrated me needlessly and very unorganized and expensive. Well, not anymore. This is the best weather app on the market that I have ever found. Price is reasonable for which I am thankful . The information is precise . The ability to switch to different weather information systems is wonderful. Everything is laid out so logically. There is no clutter, there is no drain on my battery, and the layout and design is absolutely wonderful! Every time I capture a screenshot and share it on my Facebook page someone asks me what app is that and where can I get it? Keep doing what you’re doing guys; thanks for the great weather app.

Great App. I’ve been using it over a year now, it’s been my overall favorite. Huge points for the privacy policy — look at what this app tracks (nothing!!) compared to other weather apps. Plus, with premium, I can set whatever data source I like, which for my location the weather company appears best. Good widgets. I wish on my iPad it had a different, more information dense layout than just a blown up phone interface, but small complaint. In short, come for the privacy policy, stay for the solid selection of data sources and functional, stable app.

Finally a weather all that just tells me the weather!. Iv been looking for a simple, straight forward app to tell me the rain forecast before i leave the house and i think i found it. The screen isn’t packed with videos, stories, images and ads that cause the app to freeze or the screen to jump around because everything thats on the page . Nothing for the scrolling to get jammed up on when loading data mid screen. Just the simple forecast and when it will be raining today in a sleek layout with easy to understand graphics. Finally.

Still Awesome After One Year 👍. So I have been using Hello Weather for a year now (as of this month), and I have to say it’s still an awesome app. The app is always reliable and always works, without all the clutter that most apps have. I really like the fact, that you can select other weather services to compare information (guys you need to keep that, because most apps don’t offer multiple weather sources). The developers also respond quickly to any recommendations, questions, and concerns, which really wins me over (a lot of apps NEVER respond to their customers). If you want a great weather app that is not only visually amazing, but accurate and has all the information without any unnecessary filler GET HELLO WEATHER. I will be renewing my yearly subscription soon! 👍 (and guys thanks for keeping the price reasonable, some weather apps are charging ridiculous amounts of money). P.S. these guys are so awesome with this app I may just have to invite them for Christmas 👍🙂

Maybe my new weather app?. I enjoy the simplicity of this app and it's true, I don't see any third party ads, HOWEVER, the "free" version is very limited with a persistent and large "upgrade" button, front and center at all times. I don't fault then for this and understand they need to monetize; $7/year is more than reasonable compared to others. I just wish the trial was more than 3 days Ever since Wundergeound destroyed their app, I've been looking for another, and will probably pay for this once my 3 day trial runs out. Hopefully it works out and I'll update this review regardless. But like I said, I wouldn't use the "free" version long-tern due to the limited features and ever-present upgrade button.

The best weather app ever!. I have tested every weather app I could get my hands on over the past five years. Hello Weather is undoubtedly the very best of all of them because it is easy to use, has a crystal clear interface, has all the information I need and it has the most accurate forecasts I have ever seen. Make sure to select “Your Current Location” so u get the hyper local forecasts which will give you the most accurate forecasts (if u simply select your city then you get the basic forecast for the entire city). Hello Weather is superb and all my family and friends use it happily.

clean, simple design. This is a nice looking weather app that provides a the forecast in simple terms. There’s a few improvements I would like to see. First I don’t like the horizontal line under the location at the top of the screen. This ruins the clean design look in my opinion. I’d rather extra white space below it or just make it scroll with the rest of the forecast (I think it’s unnecessary to always be at the top). Second, while I like the use of color, it’s not always clear what the colors represent when there is both an up and down bar. Third the weather advisory button, while it should be prominent, stands out too much and detracts from the design. I’d rather a white button with border like the source button (but make the source button just text and no button). Lastly, I’d like notifications of weather warnings.

Gorgeous UI, real-time notifications from DarkSky. I’m a web developer and I was immediately drawn to the UI of this app. It’s absolutely stunning and looks like an app directly created by Apple. I then saw it was powered by DarkSky (with the choice of having other data sources if you buy the $4.99/year subscription). Though DarkSky is know to be the most accurate so to me that doesn’t matter. But yeah, the UI, Dark Sky and real-time notifications just like the dark sky app - its a now brainer to get this app. I hope this moves up the list of weather apps because it def needs to be at least in the top 10 along with DarkSky. Great jobs developers - keep up the great work.

Love the simplicity - great app. Just recently got the app & I have started my free trial. All of the info is so well organized and the app is the most user-friendly interface I’ve seen. THIS is how Apple should have designed their weather app. I love how it summarizes the day and week into a quick sentence. I’ll probably end up keeping my subscription because of the data source - I like the Weather Company better than the default Dark Sky. And $7 a year really isn’t asking for much. Highly recommend the app! Only a few improvements. First I’d suggest is doing a 10-day forecast like most other apps instead of a 7-day. Next, add air quality. And finally adding rainfall totals would be great.

Hello Weather Works Great!. For the past several months I have been searching for a weather app with a simple interface that worked well and provided accurate forecasts. I tried many apps then I found Hello Weather and my search was over. Hello Weather has a simple intuitive interface that presents the weather data in a clean and organized format. After trying the free version for a short time I purchased the lifetime version that unlocked even more useful features. My thanks to the developers for the excellent weather app they have created. Job well done!

Great Apple Watch App!. It was great on my iPhone so wanted to try it on my Apple Watch. It offered a 3-day trial for the annual subscription which is required for it work on the Watch. Out if the gate, my location wasn’t stable. It always defaulted back to another one. I emailed the developers. They quickly responded saying they were working on a fix. No more than a week later, the update was available and so was the fix. My location is now stable! This app has the BEST large Complication available for the Apple Watch. It’s minimal display shows: location, current temp, ⬆️ High & ⬇️ Low. Inside of that it shows you the current temp, weather warnings (so important!), hourly & this week. Touch again to get the details: wind, humidity, pressure, sunrise, sunset & UV. The color bar graphics make it easy to see the rise & fall of the temps. They also change colors based on current temps. The iPhone app is also impressive! Customizations are available for data Sources: Dark Sky, AccuWeather, AerisWeather & The Weather Company. Custom theme colors & app icon too! Thank you for making such a functional app that’s also pleasant to look at! PS - Please consider adding moon stage info in a future update.

Wrong information is displayed. I am a paying customer. It’s a nice app, but sometimes it displays wrong information on low/ highs for today. 1. The first problem occurs when The Weather Company is chosen as the source. When showing daily highs, sometimes, instead of showing the actual temperatures, I believe it shows the “feels like” temperatures. Thus, if at the highest point of the day it’s 32C but feels like 39C it will show the daily high of 39C. This is terrible. This doesn’t happen when I choose another source, say the Dark Sky. 2. The second problem is that sometimes it shows the daily high for the remainder of the calendar day, not for the entire day. Thus, if the highest temperatures after 6pm is only 24C then it will display 24C as the daily high. Doesn’t happen every time, but often enough to get annoyed. 3. This third problem is in contrast with 2. In the display of the daily low, it us impossible to say if the low is from the night before or the night after the daytime. It will be much more reasonable to include the lowest daily temperature of the night following the daytime rather than lowest temperature for the calendar day which includes parts of two nights. I thinks it is just misleading to display the low temperatures the way Hello Weather displays. I hope the developers read these reviews and will address the issues, but I will keep my monthly subscription for now, because I think the app is useful, especially on the watch, despite of the glitches.

My FAVORITE weather app of all time!. This is the only weather app I’ve ever seen that I absolutely love! I’ve been using the Weather Channel app for several years, simply because it was merely the most decent one out of a bunch of crappy weather apps, and even the Weather Channel app is wrong almost as often as the crappiest weather apps out there! I love how much specific detail this app provides, such as the percentage of the day’s/week’s chance of rain, how hard it’s expected to rain, even down to the time it’s supposed to start and stop raining! I love how include it includes real-time radar, the ability to customize the colors of your theme, screen brightness (light or dark mode), weather source options, and even includes what the temperature will be every hour! And as if all those features weren’t enough, it’s just a beautiful app altogether. I love, love, love, love this app! I’m a Hello Weather App fan for life!

Best Weather App For Everyday Life, Period!. I have tried a lot of weather apps and this one excels them all! The clean and well-thought out interface make using this app a delight. I’ve used it for a few years now and have never had the desire to look for a new weather app, it’s that good! After using the free version for a short time I decided to become a lifetime member. This is the only app I’ve ever done that for! It delivers everything you need to know each day with out all the data clutter most weather apps suffer from. The radar is implemented well and has always been reliable when I feel the need to check it… super powerful. But the beauty and power of this app is found in the fact that I rarely feel the need to check the radar because the summaries given for each day are THAT GOOD! I also appreciate the weekly forecast with its simple descriptions of what to expect. This app has never failed me and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a clean, beautiful weather app that tells you what you need to know without all the other clutter!

Close to Perfect. This is a really solid weather app. I love the uncluttered format, as well as being able to easily switch back and forth between the different weather services. No weather service is 100% accurate so having the option to easily see a number of forecasts within the same app is a real plus. I’m also impressed that when you have a question, you get a prompt response from the developers. This is the first time I have ever paid for a weather app and after two months of using it can confidently say that, for me, the upgrade is worth every nickel. On my wish list: A shorter update lag time on the widget would be nice. Also, having the ability to receive critical/severe weather notifications would be a big plus.

Finally a weather app that doesn’t SPAM you with ads. As I get older I have less and less patience with pop-ups and ads on apps. I’ve installed and deleted many apps trying to find one that has easy to view interface and radar functionality. I’ve been very pleased with this app and I now believe that it has the best interface for getting accurate daily and long term weather predictions that I’ve seen. I started the pay service and not upset about the few bucks they charge. Love that it works so well with my Apple Watch. Keep it up and please don’t change. It seems as soon as I find a great app someone on the dev team decides they need to completely change everything and screw up a good thing.

Great App! No Apple Watch?. This is an excellent app. I have brought at least 4 or 5 people on board and most of them are now fam club members. It says up to date and keeps working well despite where I am in the world. For that reason I continue to use this for weather forecast on my iPhone. However, I’ve been using it for a couple years now and they still haven’t come out with an extension/complication for the Apple Watch. Please do this so I can permanently delete the default weather app on my phone. Current temp, high and low for the day, and a weather emoji is all that’s needed for the Apple Watch and Hello Weather would be the total package! Bottom line. Get this app. It makes checking the weather so much more fun. And then ask for an Apple Watch addition.

Everything I ever wanted buuuut..... First off, I really really like your weather app. It has everything I look for in a weather app. The real feel is right there in the widget and near the top in the app. Humidity is the other thing I look for and I like it to be in a convenient place instead of looking through the whole app for it. Radar is also high on my list, but I like to see what’s coming. All your app has is past radar it doesn’t really help you figure out what’s coming. The other thing I do enjoy is notifications. I don’t mean when sever weather is impending, don’t get me wrong I do appreciate that, but I mean little ones like knowing snow or rain may be starting in an hr in my area or something along those lines. Other wise I definitely will be recommending your app to friends and family!

Da Best!. This app is so outstanding...let me count the ways! Beautifully organized abundant information that’s exactly what I want and unbelievably accurate too. I used to prefer a local forecast source but these guys have outdone themselves! The new, dream come true, FREE bonus is temps displayed in Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously (if you so choose)! I can’t wait to recover financially so I can buy Pro and give these guys mula they richly deserve! (To top it off-when I went to customer support (they didn’t know it was a thank you & not a criticism) they’ve got a video of the song, “Thank you for Being a Friend.” What a riot! The humor and excellence (&warmth (ouch) is evident throughout!!👏👏👏

Love it!. Really really like the format. Dark Sky is the default source, but with the subscription you can choose from several other sources (i.e. TWC, Accuweather, etc). Plus with paid you get Radar. Because I love the format I gave it a try and made the purchase. With the ability to change sources, you can use what works best for you in your area. No regrets here. Very happy with it! Only thing I would like is to see pollen levels, but almost everyone will want something added/changed and than we would lose the great format by having too much. P.S. Switching left to right screens (swipe) should be more responsive, but still love it!!!

Is it worth buying? ABSOLUTELY. Let me start by mentioning things that we buy everyday that cost more than $4.99. A chipotle bowl with guacamole costs around $9, a chick fil a 4 chicken strip meal cost about $7, 1/2 a sandwich with soup cost around $6 at Panera and 3 scoops of ice cream anywhere cost around $5. For none of the above you think twice if you are going to buy it right? Once you are in line, what do you do? Pay for it. So if you are reading this is because you are interested in this amazing app so let me tell you it is worth investing in it. So I already justified the $4.99. Now let’s move to the why? First, this app offers 5 different sources for weather information in a single app. If you wanted those sources, individually it would be over $15. Second, you can customize the color presentation of not even the app itself but even the logo. Third, it gives the information that is necessary for the average human being. A lot of apps do offer more info on the main screen but let’s be real here...does anyone care about anything else besides when is it going to rain/snow, what is the temperature and how windy it’s going to be? Nope. I am not saying this are the only things the app offers but you trying to keep things in perspective. Bottom line, give it a try. VR - from someone that spent over $25 dollars already trying to look for the perfect weather app. FYI - this is the second review I have ever done on a app so that just says how happy I am with it.

The perfect weather app.. I have tried every single well known weather app out there and I thought they were all pretty good, but they all have something lacking. I think this app is the best of them all. It has a wonderful interface, great data, it is respectful of your privacy, supports all the latest iOS features, and has a solid Apple Watch app. They are a small developer, so it takes them a few days longer to push out new features but usually everything is implemented perfectly when they do. The only two things I wish they would add in the future are notifications and a tip jar!

Beautiful app. Presenting a bunch of data pulled together from different sources to make actual information out of it, is a real skill. To make that information readable at a glance yet still retain depth is talent. This team apparently has both kinds of people; the app is gorgeous. My only issue is that some of the less basic, and really useful features - like radar, or the Watch app - are only available behind a subscription paywall. Hopefully the Watch portion will become a Watch App Store purchase (not subscription). I’ll buy it in a heartbeat. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for developers making money, and I’m more than happy to do my part for an app I think is really well done. I just don’t do subscriptions. Look, if you’re a 9-5’er, I’m sure recurring payments are much easier to manage, because you’ve got predictable income on a predictable schedule. Not all of us do, so to commit to a predictable payment on a predictable schedule, without the predictable income on a predictable schedule, is just simply an irresponsible habit. Make these features single-time purchases, and when I know it’s ok to do so, I will buy them! But as a subscription we both lose out.

Great Weather App, BUT.... This app is beautiful and shows information in a really convenient format. On top of the current weather you see temperatures over the next 12+ hours as well as temperatures and conditions for a week in the future. My biggest issues with this app is their lack of details about conditions and precipitation. If you only want to see temperature this is the app for you. I would like to see conditions and possible precipitation per hour in the hourly forecast and have that same information available in the weekly forecast if you tap for more detail. I also despise the yearly payment. I am totally for supporting the developers and helping them make a little money, but I'd rather just pay $5-$10 upfront for an app I can count on. As things stand, I don't think this is the weather app for me.

Beautiful and simple yet info-rich. Everything I ever wanted in a weather app! It has the accurate weather forecasts of Dark Sky, but is much more readable and beautiful. The color-coded infographics make it easy to check the weather at a glance. Best of all there are no intrusive ads. Even if you choose not to pay for the subscription, there is just one simple, non-distracting banner encouraging you to get an annual sub for full features. I was disappointed that the Apple Watch companion was hidden behind a pay wall, but I was so impressed by the iPhone app that I went ahead and subscribed for a year. In my opinion this is the best weather app on the market, but I can’t help but mention that I feel although the $6.99 annual pricing is manageable, it feels rather steep compared to other weather apps. The inclusion of multiple data sources is a really nice feature but I could live with a few less sources if the annual sub was a few dollars cheaper or if it was a flat one-time fee. All-in-all I am incredibly impressed with these devs. Keep up the great work!

Hello, best weather app ever!. I’m so glad my son Joe got us a lifetime family membership to Hello Weather! It rocks! It’s also fun that one of its creators was best friends with my son all the way from grade school through high school, and that his late mom was a best friend of mine in those same years and one of the founders of the MOB (Mothers of Boys) club are the Univ of Chicago when our sons were in high school. That’s where I learned what a remarkable son I really had, when I heard all the other moms’ stories of problems they were having raising their teenage boys that I’d never had, or sometimes even thought of. So it’s very nice to see one of those boys who caused his mom big problems in high school has turned out to be such a successful young man!

Keeping it simple. Hello Weather has jumped to the top tier among my favorite weather apps. The clean, uncluttered interface is organized in a way that makes information easy to read and understand. “Right now” and “Later today…” sections dominate the forecast screen with details and radar always just a tap or a swipe away. Multiple data sources is a plus. The developers have put a lot of thought and work into this, really sweating the usability instead of rushing to add lots of new features. That said, here’s a short list of the enhancements I hope are in the pipeline: Push notifications for significant weather, gov’t. alerts, etc. Quicker access to current location through the use of strategically placed location arrows. Weather alerts are currently accessed by tapping a gray box below the “Right now” section. The ubiquitous red alert triangle used by most other apps would stand out more and better complement the design. I originally advocated for access to additional icon sets, but later discovered that the developers have created an expansive set of custom icons that offer a more detailed and nuanced representation of conditions than any other app I’ve tested. This is a really good weather app that I suspect will keep getting better.

Perfect, simple, easy to read forecast. Finally got tired of using the Apple Weather app where it thinks every day is a thunderstorm. Tried 4 or 5 apps to find a good weekly forecast app and settled on this one. It gives me a simple presentation of the week and if I want more details it gives me those without all the excess I don’t care about. I’m not a weatherman. I just want to know when I can mow my grass and kick my kids out of the house to play. This fit the bill. There is a relatively expensive upgrade that includes a lot. Right now I don’t need it and the app doesn’t force feed it on me which makes it more likely I get it at some point.

Customer privacy policy. This is a trail-blazing weather app and my favorite for many reasons but mostly because of the developers’ stance on privacy and tracking. Too many companies track and bombard customers with messy ads while selling our data on top of charging us for their sketchy ad-laden services anyway! It’s unethical and I’m glad the makers of Hello Weather recognize that. We should demand the same consideration from other service providers across platforms and support those like Hello Weather who get it. The free version is great but I will be happy to subscribe. The only hesitation has been the cringe-inducing terminology associated with subscribing. “Join the Fan Club”? C’mon, guys. Is that actually appealing to anyone? Other than that, as long as the developers continue to honor customer privacy and don’t deviate from their ethics and quality standards, their app is well-worth a yearly subscription. To the developers and team: Great job and thank you!!

I’ve Always Been Fascinated By Our Weather. I’ve Always Been Fascinated By Our Weather and I’ve got at least 10 weather apps on my iPhone. I depend on this app more than any other. At $4.99 a year it’s so much better than any of the others! I think that most of us think that ALL the weather apps will have the same forecast. NOT SO! This app gives you the option of switching between 5 different companies that provide forecasts. You would be surprised at the different weather forecast, especially when you want information about short range and mid-range forecasts. You don’t have to even download The Weather Channel or Accuweather apps because their forecast is available in this app. You’ll spend just as much money when you buy the new McDonald’s Quarter Pounder and that’s something you won’t even think about after you’ve eaten it.

Potential to be the best weather app. I too have gone through many weather apps only to delete them. This one is probably the best in terms of blend of accuracy and layout. Accuracy great because you can pick your own source (weather company, accuweather, etc). This is important because different sources have better accuracy in certain locations. I don’t know any other app that does that. Also I like to scroll downwards not sideways through the week. You can see more that way and it just fits my technique better I guess. Room for improvement: need 24 hr not 15hr hourly forecast. Also would like to fit more (ie at least a few days of the week) on the first screen so perhaps option to reduce font size. Generally great job!!

I want to like it, but.... This would be a lot better if there was a free trial before the subscription. Mainly for access to other sources; I don’t know how it is where the developers of this app live, but Dark Sky is REALLY inaccurate in a lot of locations (it doesn’t even manage top five weather apps for accuracy in my area), making much of the default data in Hello Weather pretty darn useless. I’m interested in buying a subscription within the next month or two, but at the same time I don’t feel like I really know what using the app is like, because I can’t actually use any of the weather information it presents from Dark Sky. If you’re going to ask people to pay for a subscription, offering a free trial (for a few days or a week or whatever) is pretty standard.

Hello Happy!. Great job, developers! I adore the straightforwardness, the simplicity, and the useful information that this app provides without my having to dig through clutter and TMI contained in a lot of other weather apps not to mention having to open four or six different weather apps and dig through each one to ascertain the particular weather information that is critical to my needs. I'm not a weatherwoman - that's someone else's job - I'm just tryna figure out if I need to wear dark sunglasses or stylish galoshes. Its user friendliness is a huge plus and I'm especially fond of the humor which gives the app some personality and somewhat of a human touch. Slogan Idea: If you feel sad when the weather is crappy, download this app and HELLO HAPPY! You're welcome :-D

Lovely Weather App. The design is beautiful and uncluttered since there are no ads. I checked out several weather apps in a day and this was my favorite by far. I appreciate being able to change the source of the weather information. You can also choose the colors of the app icon on your home screen to make it easier to find, which is great since so many apps use the same color schemes and look similar. I also love the night mode of the app, which automatically shifts the color theme to be darker and easier on your eyes in the evenings. I do wish the (paid) fan club came with a few more more perks or was a one time purchase instead of a subscription. I purchased the subscription because I am happy to support the lovely app once, but If there aren’t more things added to the app by the time my annual subscription ends, I will probably not pay for an additional year.

Here is the drama. People don't want ads. Look at other weather app reviews. Full of complaints about intrusive ads. So we get an app without ads, then people say WAIT, hold up, we do want ads because w/o ads we have to pay a subscription. Subscriptions are lame, yes, and I agree Id much rather grab a lifetime subscription at $30 or 4 years of subscription than getting a subscription and canceling it ever year. Here is the thing about this app, you are not paying for radar or the apple watch to work.(those are a bonus) Here is what you are paying for. The privacy policy. Subscriptions are terrible, but they are better than other weather apps privacy policies. Privacy policy for this app is about two paragraphs. Now go read the other weather apps privacy policies. Read the parts about how the ad services are ALSO tracking your location, getting information from your phone etc. Then come back here, drop your $7 if you can or use the free version and toss it a nice rating.

Just get this app!. This is one of my favorite apps of all-time! They continue to improve it and add useful features I didn’t even know I wanted or needed. Their widgets are fantastic and offer a bunch of fun customization options. The app is very reliable and responsive. I’ve recommended this app to basically anyone who will listen and everyone thanks me for the suggestion. So why are you still reading my review instead of downloading this app? Oh, their customer support is super responsive. You actually get a thoughtfully written human response. This is the Apple of weather apps! Okay I’ll stop now.

Love this app but watch OS version is meh. I love Hello Weather and have used it exclusively for over a year. The only gripe I have which has prompted me to post a review is the watch OS app doesn’t really work with the watch face widget integration. For me, it won’t get my precise location. I live in Colorado and it tracks to Denver only regardless of where I am and it shows different data than what’s on my phone. Also, it only updates when I click and open the widget rather than updating itself and displaying the information on its own. I don’t really like having to click the widget to get an update and also having the update be for a city I don’t live in. Kind of annoying. Love the app otherwise.

Dark Sky Lover Finally Happy Again. I used Dark Sky as long as I can remember and have intensely missed it since Apple bought it out or whatever. I have tried so many other weather apps and finally resigned myself to just be surprised every day. However, my job requires me to know the weather, especially during tornado seasons. Thank goodness Reddit came through with the numerous suggestions about HelloWeather. Lots of Dark Sky users recommend HelloWeather and I now count myself as yet another fan. Their privacy policy had me giving heart eye emojis and I immediately bought a lifetime membership. Thank you for protecting use privacy HelloWeather!! And thank you for finally making this Dark Sky weather app lover happy and informed once again!!

Apple Watch support. Now I love the idea of the app. You can have the weather right on your wrist. Though it says it has support for the Apple Watch and looked amazing from the photos. So I gave it a try as I’m a new Apple Watch user and trying to find some good apps that won’t cost me a ton. I found it semi deceitful that it shows up in the Apple Watch store for free. Though you can’t access the Apple Watch app unless you pay 6.99/year. I know it’s not a ton but I’m in school right now and don’t make a ton and I can’t just go spending my money on everything. Don’t get me wrong it was good on IOS but the fact that it’s hidden that you have to pay to access the Watch app is to me wrong because it says it’s available. for free on the Apple Watch store. If anyone knows of good weather and other apps for the Apple Watch please let me know. Thank you.

Perfectly simple, with a wealth of knowledge. I really adore this app, I’ve been using weather apps that are just riddled with ads, extra content/alerts and their own “news” that I don’t care or need. This app on the other hand is absolutely perfect. It gives you the information you need in a really dynamic and easily understood ways. The customization of the app is great, depending on the dark/light mode, the app icon.. etc. I did buy the membership which is $5/year, and honestly I would rather pay and get the radar and such through this app than have ads, extra videos, and stuff I don’t need. Did I mention that I’ve never seen an ad on this app too? That is a HUGE highlight to me. Honestly it is SO worth the download and $5/year if you want simple weather that is cute and informative.

Great concept, needs improvement. I WANT to love this app- the simplicity and appealing design is eye-pleasing and easy to use and navigate through. On the other hand, $7/year just to have access to the radar is a little ridiculous. I understand that there are no ads so you have to make your money somehow, but that’s just too pricey in my opinion when I can have easy access to the weather radar on another app. Also, the accuracy of predicted weather, even an hour from now, is annoyingly inaccurate. Numerous of times I have prepared for a 100% sunny day due to the apps weather prediction for the day, then it happens to monsoon at an inconvenient time while I have no rain jacket nor umbrella (because who needs those things when the sun should be shining all day?).. my point is, its unreliable to the point where I have to double check on another app to be sure that the weather is predicted accurately. Other than that, I love the idea of this app, the nice widget option, and I really like how the weather is given to you in simple layman’s terms. I’d buy the app if it were cheaper and once it improves a bit.

Not very good. Nothing special about this app. The actual weather info you can get from just about any other app since they pretty much all use the same sources. My issues with the app concerns their widgets. They don’t work/update without opening which is useless to me, especially since I don’t like the app layout. Right now it’s been over 15 hours and it hasn’t updated. I paid for a subscription because it said widget updates more frequently. Did give it an extra star just because unlike most other weather apps data isn’t collected so I do appreciate that. If the widgets start updating the way they should then it’s a 4 star app.

Looks good but ultimately not helpful. This app is great for showing how different the forecast sites are in their predictions. I’m heading to Europe on a vacation and I can’t tell if it’s going to rain or being sunny in the 70’s because it’s a matter of changing the source forecast. You have 5 choices with the paid app and they vary wildly in their forecasts. Not a fault of the app, but I don’t see myself using it anymore since apparently the weather is a roll of the dice. I have no idea which one is most accurate, probably all about the same, so it’s only as good as the free one Apple offers. I also wish I could scroll through locations instead of tapping 3 or 4 times to switch. Looks great but I’ll be uninstalling despite paying for the app.

Finally, a literate weather app!. I have downloaded & deleted more weather apps than I care to count, but I think this might be the one! I don’t ask for much in a weather app: I want to be accurate, I want it to give me weather alerts, and I just want to glance at it and see a sentence that tells me the weather forecast. When I wake up I don’t feel like looking at icons and deciphering what they mean, I just want a simple sentence saying it’s 35° and we’re expecting snow this afternoon, or whatever. Everyone wants different things, but it’s surprising how few apps will actually give you a sentence like that, everyone else seems so obsessed with gimmicky icons to the point of being illiterate, but this app nails it. I also like that I can easily see the hourly forecast and the daily forecast. Good visual chart on the hourly forecast that doesn’t just list the temp, but intuitively shows at a glance if it’s higher or lower. Nicely done guys, keep up the good work.

Best Weather App I've Seen. What a great weather app! Beautifully designed, and less clutter as promised. Would happily subscribe if only the app provided source data from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) Australia.

Well-designed and Good looking, but AQI is wanted.. Dear developers, I saw you guys saying that you had a plan to integrate Air Quality Index to Hello Weather on some social media. Do you have an ETA or sth? Hello weather is good and better than most of the weather apps, but having an AQI will make it perfect.

Has the best weather Widget of all. I am using the free version and it is excellent! So easy to see & understand in a moment, and the widget has wind speed as well. It cheers me up just to view it. Well done. This is the best! 🤓

Great UI but useless. Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature weather data from the Bureau of Meteorology, which is the most accurate weather source for Australians. Probably excellent for other parts of the world. Sorry devs. :(

Simple and clean, keeps in line with Apple design language. This app immediately caught my eye because I'm a sucker for well-designed apps that use Apple's design language. All the information you need is on the Forecast page, and its presented neatly and clearly. I would like to see an option for text size adjustment, as the text is slightly too big for my tastes. Also iffy about the colour scheme for dark mode. It's not exactly easy on the eyes, especially when in a dark area. Great work overall though, looking forward to seeing where this extremely underrated app goes!

Simple and clean. Really lovely, simple weather app. So much easier to read than many others. (I have five!) wish it had BOM data and temp as a badge but have still trashed my other apps. Great work guys.

Thanks Team - love the UX!. Just subscribed for a year - absolutely love the interface and ability to configure the widget colours! Really great work team! Don’t change a thing!

Good app. Not a bad app...the only issue I have is having to keep getting into the app on my watch to get the most recent weather, there’s no option for it to automatically refresh! Other than it’s easy to work and has all the information you need👍

Awesome UX. Excellent design, worth the paid upgrade. Support for the Bureau of Meteorology (or WillyWeather) would be great for Australian users.

While this app has been ok but. Today was a hot lovely day until! It wasnt. Then the lighting came and the thunder. We here need to know when three things happen 1: thunderstorm 2: high hot winds = thunderstorm asthma ⚠️⚠️ I truly thought a weather app would be all over this. But no 🚫

Without realising it this became my most used weather app. Logical design. Amazing features. Excellent integration with Weather Underground.

Wasted Screen Space On iPad. Great app on my iPhone and just installed on iPad - I was a little disappointed to see the layout doesn’t use the screen realestate properly especially in landscape. There’s a lot of wasted space on the screen, if it was used better we probably wouldn’t have to scroll down for more info. Otherwise love it :)

Excellent Weather App. I’m happy paying a reasonable yearly subscription for a quality service that doesn’t collect and sell usage data. A feature requests Siri Shortcuts: I’d like to ask Siri to check hello weather rather than the built in weather app.

Best looking. Great design with loads of info that’s incredibly well laid out. Seems quite accurate to me here in Berlin but also looking at Australian weather

Fantastic. Great job! Finally a weather app that’s just meat and potatoes. Wish I knew this existed earlier.

Latest upgrade is spectacular ‼️. The new multiple window widget feature is the first I have seen. This has really set the bar high for other widget developers.

Hello Weather. Sweet! 🙂

Top tier. It’s really quite a good little weather app, relatively fast to open, very responsive, gorgeous artwork, lots of nice options, always seems accurate. Use it regularly

Wonderful on the watch. I use this app almost exclusively on my series 4 watch. With the update, it’s faster loading current conditions. The UI is great—super easy to read and whimsical. It’s great: 5 stars!

Great app, but some downsides. This is a great app with a really beautiful design, but there are a couple of problems with it. First, the weather forecast can be a bit iffy. For example, once the app said that it was slightly cloudy, with good visibility at 15km+, when in reality it was raining, completely cloudy with no light and so foggy I could barely see across to the other side of the lake I was staying on, which is about 3km across. I’m assuming this is due to a problem with the source of the weather feed, which, if you buy the yearly subscription, you can change to a more reliable one like The Weather Network, which works much better for me where I live than Dark Sky. I have not purchased the subscription, and though I’m fully aware that doing so will completely solve my problem, it would be very helpful if I was able to switch the source of weather forecast without having to pay the yearly subscription fee. Though the app is designed extremely well, (it has a spectacular design, the perfect mix between simple and giving more than enough information, as impossible as that sounds), but there is a small problem with the “This Afternoon” weather panel. It would be great if, instead of having two separate panels that you flip through, you could scroll through to see the hourly weather. This would make it much easier to read and would improve that section as a whole. Other than that the app is great, and if you do decide to buy the subscription I’m sure the app will work wonderfully, though the app just isn’t perfect if you decide not to. And though I understand the app makers and developers do need to make money, it would be great if they could improve these details on the free version of the app, even if I’m not paying. In saying that, I really do recommend the app, but it would be amazing if those few small problems could be fixed.

Almost. Seriously you are charging for Satellite weather map when its 100 % free to anyone that types in “satellite weather map” with a-web browser.. also “feels like” are you kidding thats the most unscientific nonsense of the 21 century. Is “feels like”assuming I am not wearing clothes or over dressed ? The Temperature is the temperature..stop dumbing down ..why don’t you add my horoscope also...lol.

Fun to use. That’s what makes it worth it to me

Might be the best weather app. A clean and simple interface, with informative and easy to interpret info on weather forecasts.

Underrated weather app. Great weather app, even if you don’t feel like paying extra for the in-app features. Useful feeds of info, and the new redesign looks great on the X.

Doesn’t show basic forecast. I’m glad they finally fixed the radar tab, after well over a year of it being totally broken, but the forecast tab still hangs on startup — something that has happened intermittently for, again, way more than a year, but which seems to have recently gotten worse. It isn’t a new issue; I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve reported it to the developers. This is a good concept for an app, with friendly weather displays and a nice UX, but if it can’t reliably show the weather then all the UI in the world won’t help.

Excellent app, premium worth it. I just wish it had longer hourly forecasts!

Bravo!. Continuez votre beau travail!

Hello Weather. Absolutely refused to work. Ios 17.1.1

Best. The best yet

Best designed weather app. It’s simple but elegant and gives you what you need. Please make a Home Screen widget for iOS 14!

Almost Perfect. Great interface, but I wish it displayed slightly more information. Estimated precipitation amounts in the hourly and daily forecast would be nice to see as this feature is currently available in Weather Underground.

Complication on Apple Watch. On the Apple Watch, the main feature for me is complication on the main screen. But hello weather don’t sync. So I need to tap on the complication to update the weather to get the right information.

Awesome app. Love the simplicity and very compact but comprehensive data. If I could make one change it would be a scrolling hourly temp view as opposed to paginated as it is now.

Great design. Like how it suits iOS 11. But not a fan of the widget, rather have another one that shows hourly or daily forecast.

apple watch. please move the refresh option to the bottom of the apple watch display instead of right at the top. it takes up too much space on an already small screen

Best weather app by far. Been using this for years. Tried many others and always return here. The forecast is uncannily accurate.

Hello weather…excellent. J’apprécierais tellement que votre appli puisse être en français car elle m’est très utile. C’est la meilleure…

THE weather app.. I have downloaded, and paid for, most of the weather apps. How I didn’t know about this one is beyond me. This is BY FAR the best weather app I have ever used. Period. If you are looking, stop what you are doing, buy this app and start enjoying the weather again.

Underrated And Fantasic!. Other than the fact that you can’t use the radar unless you pay, I think this app is AWESOME!!!! It is functional and easy to use! You can change the brightness to a dark mode when it’s night and light mode when it’s day time! I totally understand the fact that added some in-app purchases to earn money! This app is very underrated! Fabulous! Definitely Recommended If You Want A Simple Layout Of The Upcoming Weather! ❤️

Issues with watch. I loved the free version and I decided to pay to have this as a complication on my watch. But the complication does not update unless I click on it. I’m cancelling my subscription.

love love love the latest update. keep up the good work!

Excellent update and choice to remove Upgrade button on widget.. Excellent update and choice to remove Upgrade button on widget.

A reliable weather companion. For over a year, Hello Weather has been my go-to daily weather source. It masterfully displays crucial information on its widget and Home Screen, eliminating the need for scrolling, swiping, or clicking. Every morning, Hello Weather guides my clothing choices and reminds me if I need an umbrella. Thank you!

Great App, Widget is also Great. Would recommend, the subscription is also worth it, the one tiny thing I want in the future is granular widget colour customization, so I can make it match my background better.

AMAZING. But, widgets be more compact, it's cut off in iPadOS

Accurate and easy. I’ve tried a lot of weather apps. Never seem to be very accurate. This one is easy to look at, very accurate and I can search locations that I have typically not been able to find on other apps. The descriptions, including the atmospheric pressure, are better than most apps as well. Costs significantly less than others. Worth every penny!!

Best weather app hands down. Best weather app!

Great App. I like the app, the design and the accuracy. I would love to see more details for the upcoming days not just a general summary. Other than that, great job guys!

Better than most. For a supposedly small development team, this app is great. I have approximately 5 weather apps installed for the various perspectives and this one is definitely on top. (Canadian) Would love if they included more information/functions (specifically precipitation amounts) on the Apple Watch.

Great stuff. Finally someone understands what the average user wants. Even the little commercial (purple bar) is reasonable. I am so tired of “in your face advertising). When I see it I automatically delete the app. Great work folks. I will do a trial and then make the commitment to you. I am an old man so I tend to be cautious. Tnx Len

Lacking Canadian Weather Data. It would be amazing if you could add Environment Canada as a data source. Theirs is so much more accurate than any other source you support, and the difference in forecast are often 5°c or more. Their official app WeatherCAN does not have Apple Watch support, so it would be very appreciated if you could add their data to yours 😊

Brilliantly done. Incredibly practical and useful. We depend on having the right weather information in front of us for farming, and this gets it to us like no other weather app I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. And it’s great for day to day knowing what matters when we just want to tell the kids what to wear to school or plan outings too.

Very good. Amazing weather app with a simple yet detailed interface. The radar does require a subscription, though it isn’t much. Also like the ability to look at I change sources in premium. The watch app is amazing as well! Would recommend to everyone!

Awesome iPhone app, but.... The Watch app could use improvement. If there’s a way to get it into the Siri watch face (similar to the existing Weather app) then I could actually delete the stock app from my phone.

Brilliant. I am a very grumpy app snob and this one is a treat. The data is clear and big and legible, the data is good in Canada, and the developer really cares. Would recommend.

Just needs alerts. Everything about this weather app is mint. The developers have done a fantastic job getting a clean interface set up with excellent weather sources and customizations. The only downside is that there are no weather alerts built into it yet. It seems to be considered for future development but that is the only thing preventing a fifth star right now.

Finally. All it needs is a 14 day and a monthly forecast and it will be perfect. Other than that - it’s what you’ll need.

Great app. Highly recommended by far one of the best weather apps on the App Store.

Very Nice but. Bring back the one time fee

Sun. Love it

WOW. BEST WEATHER APP EVER!!!🤩🤩🤩

No French only English. 4 out of 5 because there are not planning any translation . It is a shame because it is the best out there .

Incredible app. Simple. Accurate. Worth the money.. I bought the year subscription and I love it! Unless Apple redoes their own weather app for the better i’m sticking with Hello Weather. Beautiful UI, simple and information rich, and all on one page. Love it and the devs seem like wonderful people too! I genuinely love the app. 100% recommend it!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve tried so many different weather apps and didn’t like any of them. Always so cluttered with too many features I don’t need. I wanted something simple and visually appealing, that provides an accurate forecast with the most vital information being clear and easy to understand. Hello Weather delivers on all fronts! My only complaint is that it sometimes takes (what seems like) a long time to load when the app is opened. Better integration for switching between locations would be nice, too. But overall I’m very pleased with this app and hopefully those things will improve over time.

Best weather app. With so many weather apps to choose from and new ones coming out all the time, Hello Weather continues to be the best overall app. Others might do radar better (radarscope) but none of the others strike a balance between clean, visually intuitive layout, and simple yet complete display of information like Hello Weather. I love tracking weather and have tried them all but none of the others are able to pull me away from Hello Weather. It truly is the perfect weather app.

Only Good if You Pay. This app doesn't tell you any more than the stock Apple weather app, with the added benefit of constantly being reminded that you have to pay for better (?) features. The UI for rain chance is also stupid and unintuitive. If you have to explain how to read your app, it's not effective design. Okay, so it has a little happy sun on the icon and feeds you its own opinion on how the weather feels. It's completely unhelpful when all you're looking for is quick information at a glance.

Protects My Privacy and Wallet. I just switched weather apps after a certain other app was acquired by a certain corporation. I like this app just as much, if not more. The reason, beyond the beautiful design, is that it clearly says what they’re doing and not doing with my location data, as well as saying that they’re not doing this as their main source of income (i.e. it’s not all about the in app purchases for them). I’m happy to support indie developers when the app is outstanding like this one. I highly recommend it.

Perfect!. I really like this weather app. It presents all the information I am looking for without being cluttered with a whole bunch of annoying ads and random other crap. The interface is clean, legible, and organized. It also has a nice widget for my phone screen that displays the weather info in an aesthetically pleasing way. This app was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I really hope it continues being this good.

Widget issues + app icon. I downloaded the app initially because I liked the look of the widget in the preview photos. It was incredibly hard to get the widget to populate in the list of widgets; even after I paid for the subscription, closed out the app and finally I had to restart my phone to get it to show up. I also had issues with the app icon updating after customizing it until I restarted my phone. Finally after doing some basic troubleshooting I got it to show up. But ultimately too much trouble for the cost. Could be improved because in general I think the design is charming and cute. But could have a faster response for a monthly subscription. This last part is nit picky feedback. I think the app is not as easy to navigate as it could be. I was thrown off a tiny bit by the difference in behavior when I tap on Settings/Location tabs on the bottom toolbar vs when I tap on the weather, if that makes sense.

So far it’s great & I love the sunshine icon!. Just downloaded this app yesterday and haven’t done much with it. But, I did read about the team that created the app and the privacy policy. These two things alone make me feel really great about this app! I haven’t felt this way about a weather app, since the day many years ago, when I found Dark Sky. I would suggest you read about the team that made this app… and then move on from there! Hopefully I will continue to enjoy and use “Hello Weather” and be able to give an honest review then! The cute little sunshine is what sucked me in… now let’s see that this weather app has under the hood. Thank you to the guys that worked so many years to create this app and for what you have put into it! It really shows!

Weather information beautifully presented. What you need to know about the weather right now, for the rest of today, and for the coming week, presented in a simple, meaningful, straightforward style that's both visually pleasing and easy to take in at a glance. Multiple weather sources and app themes available. Chock full of thoughtful details. It was a pleasure to sign up for a subscription to this lovely and useful weather app so I could properly support the dev team.

Development?. As some others have stated, development of this app has slowed to a crawl. Bugs such as widgets that fail to update unless the app is launched persist. Either that or the widgets update so infrequently that the information is not at all current. Against my better judgment, I purchased a lifetime license. This was done a long time ago when the app was actively developed, however. Interest in the app on the part of the developers seems to have fallen off, and I am considering moving on to another weather app. It is a shame because Hello has so much potential.

Only reliable weather app there is!. I’ve had this app for a few years now and have to say I’m getting more value out of it than any other weather related app I e ever used. This is now the only one I’ll ever use and I recommend it to all family and friends. Warnings, rain gauges, accurate radar, this app has it all and doesn’t bother filling your screen with nonsense. I honestly feel like I’m ripping them off with how cheap it is.

clean and smooth. Been using the free version for a little over a month now... I've been thru a few weather apps and this one is laid out clean and smooth... I originally chose this one to try because it collects none of your data... that's huge as if you look at what these other apps are collecting is alarming and makes one ask why do they need that... Happy with the way it is but upgrading to support Jonas and Trevor and their hard work and non invasive policy... Thanks guys for a great app and continued success !!!

Hello weather. Best weather app I’ve tried so many and some were way off some had to much unnecessary information and and all had tons of pop ups unless in app purchases to stop them , others track your information and some won’t be transparent about selling information. This app is my all time favorite easy to use and simple to read and gives you the opportunity to customize this weather app.

Nice app, but radar images load slowly. Nice weather app overall, with numerous sources to choose from. The radar images load very slowly though... painfully slow. I’ve tested this on numerous connections on different devices n different locations in the country over several months. The radar images are always slow to load. Sometimes they don’t load at all. Sometimes when you resize the image, you end up with a broken half-loaded radar display. Fix this and it’ll be nearly perfect.

Pretty great app. I use the iOS app for of all my weather needs on my iphone but I still use Carrot on my iWatch. I wish Hello Weather showed you the “feels like” temp on the watch. Where I live the feels like temp can be quite different from the actual. Moreover I wear glasses being far sighted. Can’t see near. Changing the bar on Hello on the watch so it shows a “hot” color or a “cold” color so at quick glance I know what the day will be like without being able to see the watch high and low. Hello is a Great app. Just not my all around weather app as Carrot does the watch excellent. Some day Hello will be all round app. Please and thank you.

The Perfect All-In-One Weather App. I’m a big weather nerd and have been stuck using multiple apps to get all the data I wanted. Until now. Everything I need is included and presented in such an appealing & intuitive way. I’m never seen such an easy to use layout in a weather app before. Definitely buy the subscription service since it’s not only super cheap for what you get, but it includes the ability to change the weather service it pulls data from and also supports the devs so they can continue making this my go-to weather app.

The very best. Having tried many, many weather apps over the last several years I can confidently say that this is the best in my opinion! The presentation of data is clear and easy to read without oversimplifying and the radar is very good with nice layer options. The app is also visually and functionally fun. The option of using different data sources is awesome and makes the app even better. Well worth the modest cost to support the developers and access all of the above!!

Awesomeness. When I was little tyke my Dad gave me the best advice I would ever hear..."Keep it Simple Stupid" (it's a term of endearment in my klan🤔) And in the Marines it's constantly drilled into your head you do your job and you do it well and you NEVER quit until you give 110%. (a cleaner version without expletives but you catch my drift). The weather app is beautiful in it's simplicity which makes for easy navigation and customization...in short: a job well done. Oh and my personal favorite? The nerdy sense of humor 🤭😏 ...... Kudos Guys....my Dad would be proud.

Pollen Count and Air Quality. Howdy Devs! This app is very nice, in my opinion. It’s incredibly aesthetically pleasing (the graphics seem squishy and cute), and the interface isn’t overly cluttered like most other weather apps out there. It tells you what you need to know without the extra fluff, and I really like that. Because personally, I have ADHD and I can read something without absorbing it. That happens a lot more with text that is cluttered. This app makes things clear and concise. One thing I REALLY need from this app, though, is pollen count and air quality. If you could somehow implement an allergy impact feature that kind of tailors to the user, that would be cool too. I understand that something like that is big though, and I’d be cool if y’all could at least have pollen count and air quality, lol. Thanks for the super cool app guys! Keep up the good work!

My favorite weather app—just needs notifications. Practically and aesthetically, this is my favorite weather app. This genre of app tends to be either limited to the point of being unhelpful (Apple’s app, at least at time of writing) or absurdly cluttered and difficult to read (almost anyone else). This app has the perfect balance. It only needs notifications, and then I’ll be able to ditch the other weather apps still on my phone!

You can’t get hour by hour weather for future days, but you DO get cute sun icons...?. I’m always in search of “the perfect” weather app. I have to admit that Hello Weather is the easiest to read and most friendly looking weather app I’ve ever used. What I’m most upset about is that I can’t see future days hour by hour. For example I see that tomorrow will be partly cloudy with a high of 85 degrees. But I want to be able to select tomorrow and see hour by hour what the temp will be. It’s important for me to know the temperature at 7am when I’m leaving for work. Also it might tell me it’s going to rain two days from now but when? What time? I want to be able to tap on Thursday and see that rain starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm Maybe I’m missing something. I sure hope the developer can tell me how to get this info. It seems like a huge shortcoming. Every other weather app I have will give me this info. Even the free ones. I think I definitely jumped the gun when I paid for a yearly subscription with Hello Weather.

By far the best weather app but.... No notifications? Will that be coming in the future? To me the only thing missing from this near perfect app is real time notifications for severe weather, rain, and snow. Dark sky is never really too accurate to me but I do enjoy the real time alerts. Mainly just severe alerts for thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning maybe, things like that. Either way I won’t use any other weather app as this one is seriously good.

Great App!. I’m a landscaper in Florida and have to follow the weather very closely. I use an Apple Watch and have tried every available app with no success. They simply didn’t either display the information in a easy to read form or display all of the information I needed. I just started using Hello Weather and I love it! The display is clear and easy to view on the watch. It has the rain percentages, daily and hourly that I need. Even better, it get’s it’s info from Dark Sky which I believe is the most accurate. Thanks for the great app! Finally something I can use.

Design + Privacy. I wasn’t sure about this app at first but I've grown to be a serious fan. The design is clear and simple to navigate. Even the today widget is uncluttered and useful. Download and then subscribe. It's $5 a yr to support these independent devs. Plus you get multiple sources and radar. Last BIT NOT LEAST HWA's privacy policy is amazing. Lots of weather apps pump location data to whoever will buy it. Seriously go look at this company. They collect minimal data and purge it in 2 days. Wow!!! Thank you HWA

Finally found my favorite!. I am a regular person, not a weather nerd. When information is too dense or cluttered, my mind cannot make sense of it. Hello Weather works beautifully for my brain! Well chosen information, a nice balance of text and visual elements, displayed attractively and intuitively. I have never done this with any app before, but I paid for everything always! I use this on my iPhone and Apple Watch too. I do fervently hope that Sonoma widgets are coming. 🙏🏽

Finally a GREAT weather app!. I am a weather enthusiast but have been dissatisfied with the apps on the market, especially since the closing of Dark Sky. Hello Weather is everything I need, plus allows for some cool customizations. I love the simplicity, but that it has all the essentials and multiple data sources. The subscription is worth it and affordable, and can be shared with family! Also, they have excellent customer service if you email them with questions. Thank you Hello Weather!

Beautiful looking, but no notifications are dealbreaker. I want to like this app, I really do. It’s the cleanest looking, most straightforward and easy to understand weather app I have ever seen. BUT, the problem is it has zero notifications ability which makes it useless to me. I need it to alert me when rain is about to start. I need it to alert me if there is lightning in the area. Or tornadoes. Even wildfires would be nice. People just need to know what is going on around them. And unless you are constantly staring at this app, you aren’t going to know. Making it a safety issue that needs to be resolved. I could not even consider a paid subscription until this lack of notifications thing is solved.

Support the developers. I am a bike commuter so having intelligence into weather as it changes throughout the day is critical. Hello Weather allows me to accurately determine the what weather conditions will be over set time periods. The app is very user friendly and has become my favorite weather app. You can tell that the developers have put significant thought into even the tiniest decisions. Be a good patron and join the fan club. These developers have done a good job and deserve to make some money from this excellent app.

Finally some control!. Something as basic as being able to set the widget to always show the current temperature is a novel idea. The default iOS weather app widget consistently showed me precipitation on rain and snow days. Having to open an app from the widget just to see the temperature seems petty but the purpose of the widget is to see what data you want. Show an icon of rain and the freaking temperature! Anyway thank you for this app and for the love of Pete, please always keep the option of current temperature visible on the widget!

Finally a Clean App. I love the clean interface with simple graphics and everything you need on one screen. The description is accurate and what I’ve been looking for after trying dozens of apps over the years. Options for data source is nice too. I agree with another reviewer that a lifetime upgrade would be better than annual and I’m less likely to continue it. Also, total accumulated rainfall would be a nice addition.

All you need in a wether app. I have downloaded many weather apps over the years and this is by far the most simplistic !! This is my go to for all my weather needs. Easy to understand and use. With being able to choose who your getting the weather info from, it’s like having multiple weather apps in one location !! You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend buying the upgraded version.

My favorite weather app I wish I could use. I happily use this great weather app on my iPad and wish I could use it on my iPhone and Apple Watch as well, but in the interest of only having one weather app, I use another one that I like much less which includes a watch app. Building for multiple platforms is hard, but I’d happily pay more for a version on my wrist. Keep up the great work, and I hope for an all Hello Weather future for my devices.

Great weather app. Worth purchasing. I have installed almost every weather app out there and this is probably my favorite. Why is that? I love being able to switch the weather data sources within the app and having a consistent UI. If I have Accuweather, Weather Channel, Dark Sky, etc. installed, I have to remember where to go look for various information. This app presents the information in a very considerate and useful format. The only weather apps I have installed on my phone are this one and Dark Sky. Keep up the great work on the app.

Really good app that doesn't refresh regularly. This is my favorite third-party weather app. Paying for various weather data sources is worth it, and the forecasts are far more accurate than anything Apple Weather produces. But frustratingly, the app is very slow to refresh. My Home Screen widgets and Apple Watch complications are always out-of-date, sometimes by up to 12 or 16 hours. As an Apple Watch complication, this behavior renders the complication pointless. On widgets, yes you can enable the "last updated" feature to see when it was last updated, but what good is a widget if the info in it is always out-of-date?

Finally, the weather app I’ve been waiting for. I have downloaded every weather app possible. Have never found one that is simple yet beautiful. It’s amazing how ugly or convoluted they are. But Hello Weather is so different. This is what the default Apple weather app should have been. Simplistic, beautiful, useful, accurate. I would love to see alerts, as well as high definition weather maps. Weather maps are the only negative I have found with this app. Address that, and maybe add some alerts, and this will stand far apart from all the others.

Best Weather App. I’ve been searching for a good weather app for as long as I’ve had an iPhone. The default weather app looks pretty bad and doesn’t have the most accurate information. Weather underground has great information but also looks pretty bad. There are lots of new apps out there and in my opinion this one is the best. It looks beautiful, has lots of great features, and gives the option (with a small yearly subscription) to choose different data sources. Love it!

Great Design. I like weather apps a lot. They’re a design playground and It’s fun to see what developers do with them. This app is great to look at and intuitive to use. For me it treads the line perfectly between very simple apps without much meteorological info and apps full of detailed forecast information and current conditions. If you want a great looking app that presents current conditions simply at a glance and also lets you look into detailed meteorological data, this is the app for you.

Perfect!. This app is the best one. I have tried about every weather app IOS has to offer. This lets you choose from weather channel, accuweather, aerisweather, or dark sky. The radar is perfect! It has an awesome zoom function! If you use the widget it will let you know of any threats in the area. Its perfect, it does not bother you with useless stuff. Also, The emergency broadcast system on your phone will let you know if there is an immediate threat. Its easy and simple!

A beautiful and nearly perfect weather app!. There is no shortage of weather apps, certainly, but not all of them are as delightfully designed as Hello Weather. This app is a fairly simple weather app, giving you the information you need right away, in a very readable and beautiful way: current, hourly, and weekly. While the app does provide some good details such as wind speed, precipitation, accumulation humidity, dew point, and radar, it also doesn’t overwhelm with the super-nerdy details. It’s a perfect balance between simple and nerdy weather apps.

A nice, friendly weather app.. Many have already stated how nicely and succinctly this app has presented important weather information, and I absolutely agree. Yet, I also enjoy just the pleasantness of this app. While it is a bit difficult to describe exactly what I mean, but in addition to its wonderful presentation of vital weather information, it also has a certain charm and warmth to it as well. It makes checking the weather enjoyable.

Beautiful and Functional. I joined the fan club almost instantly. Different weather sources are better for different regions, so I love being able to switch between them depending on where I am. I also love the ability to customize the look of both the app and its icon. I’m even more pleased because several of my previous weather apps have either been discontinued or have lost stability / functionality of late. Other options with similar functionality seem gimmicky or overpriced. This one is neither. My wishlist for future updates would have to include (in order of assumed complexity) : - %chance of precip to the left of the condition icon in the widget - a dark map to go with dark mode - push alerts for NWS events - precipitation & lightning alerts - maybe even a lightning strike layer to the map. Then I would be in sheer weather app bliss.

Almost perfect. I love this app. Easy to use and understand. Clean and concise, visually appealing. I would give it 5 stars and make it my stand alone weather app if it provided push notifications and alerts. I was surprised it did not have this function, but I enjoy the lay out, forecast and radar options so much I’ve decided to buy it. I have to keep Storm Shield in the background for alerts. Hello Weather and Storm Shield paired together would be the perfect weather app. Still, I’m impressed. Well done.

Best iPad weather app available. And trust me, I swear I downloaded around 40 of the free ones and this is far and away one of the best. No ads, super intuitive and clean interface. It’s got such a simple interface yet it’s not missing any weather data that you get from the other apps, like, sunset time, precipitation, etc. if you want to upgrade to radar it’s pretty inexpensive (like 50 cents per month). Altogether, amazing app, I hope this company cleans up some other segments of the App Store like they did with weather.

Very good.. Nice, clean and straightforward UI. Accuracy seems pretty consistent, however...the accuracy lately has been off. Weather Channel source reporting the current day as 55F with 17-27 inches of snow...obviously way off. The previous version where the fonts were smaller were more ascetically appealing, as more info. was shown on your screen. Now you have to scroll down a bit to see everything. Would be nice to see an option to adjust font size. Overall though, this is my favorite weather app from most of the popular ones on the App Store.

Five Star App with no ability to purchase without paying forever. Making things simple is hard and you guys have done an amazing job. In fact, I would pay for the premium features but won’t sign up for a reoccurring charge. I’m sure I am like many people that would contribute for the additional features, but there are too many apps these days and I don’t want to keep up with which ones will be charging me monthly, annually, etc. If you decide on a one time fee, I would gladly get the premium version. Nice work!

Awesome app, responsive devs. What else can you ask for? No more multiple weather app installs. One provider works better than the other? Great - then select it! They solve the problem of switching apps because of a better reliability of data from weather source x. Their support has been phenomenal- did you know they actually respond? I have no faults for the app, period. It’s exactly what I expected and I joined the fan club. Spreading the word about this app is a joy. Thanks again for the hard work, devs!

Nice Interface; Simple Details. I really like most of the features of this app, but I was disappointed about the availability of complications for the Apple Watch Series 3. I originally downloaded this because it showed that it had good features for the Apple Watch. The basic interface is great on the watch. No complaints at all regarding the interface, the information available, and the overall layout. My one dislike of Apple watches is that the app folder is clunky. So accessing an app that does not have a complication is an exercise in frustration. Though I was delighted to see that this weather app offered complications, I was disappointed after loading it. The complications apparently only work on series 4 watches. None of the watch faces I tried (or would even use) offered Hello Weather complications. I’ll return to my subscription upgrade of this app when these are added. Or, I suppose, when I upgrade my watch to series 4. That’s not happening in the very near future.

Nice weather app. I've been searching for a new weather app since Storm was shut down, and this one comes close. I'm not a big fan of subscriptions for a basic app like weather, but this is the only app I've tried that allows switching between 5 different forecasts. I love the clean interface and customizable appearance, but this absolutely needs to show more detail about the expected amount of rain (it shows the same "<1/2in" forecast for rainfall amounts that range from 0.02" to over 0.4") - maybe "Show detailed precipitation" could be added as an optional setting like "Show extra wind forecasts"?

OK replacement for Dark Sky. Unfortunately, the best weather app ever created - Dark Sky was bought out and then killed-off by Apple. This app is an OK replacement. It loses two stars, on principle, for using the same greedy, overpriced monthly subscription business model as other chiseling, bush league developers. It there wasn't a free version, I'd be deleting it and it would get zero stars. I would pay a one time fee for a premium version or a subscription for an app with exclusive content. But, with so many free weather apps, paying a monthly fee for the rest of the app's existence is abject insanity.

Best weather app I’ve ever used. I used to use WeatherUnderground. They had possibly the best interface for checking the day’s weather. Unfortunately they changed their look and I had to go looking for another app. I downloaded 10+ apps and nothing was even close to Hello Weather. There are some features that would be nice e.g. a “feels like” forecast but at the moment the simple layout makes it easy to get weather info at a glance. It’s definitely worth paying for it too!

Very nice weather app. I like this app. It focuses on what I need to know which is the weather. The UI is well designed and easy to navigate. I paid for the premium options and like how I can choose the weather source. With one swipe down I have all the information I need. The only area that could do with some minor improvement is the radar, it’s a little slow to load and not quite as slick looking as say Weather Channel or Accuweather. Overall this is an excellent weather app that beats the competition. Great work by the developers!

Great accuracy. Had an amazing time with this app. Was very accurate, and also well designed software. I could go into detail, but I’ll keep it short. This is an amazing app.I love the fact that you can customize the app icon, but I do have one complaint. I wish they would move the location menu into settings. I frequently miss click it when I Think I am going to the home screen.
