Intuitive and easy to use.. I’ve tried so many ways of tracking my migraines over the years. This app is the first thing that has lasted for me. A friend suggested it two years ago and I show it off to anyone who will listen. I really appreciate that putting in a new episode is simply a matter of going through a grid of pictorial icons. Best of all I can add my own if I’m having a symptom or using a treatment that isn’t listed. It automatically tracks my sleep and local weather if I turn on those options do I don’t have to write them down anymore. Additionally I can send reports to myself as emails, PDFs, spreadsheets... the creators have provided many options and platforms so that my doctor and family know how to help me. Last but not least there are groups that I can join or ignore with people who are on the same meds, who have the same types of migraines, or who live in my area. So I can ask for advice if I want to. There are even areas where I can jot myself notes to accompany a migraine episode or sleep record. For times when I’m sick with the flu or the neighbors dog barked all night. I LOVE this app!

Amazing App!. Honestly, I do not love writing reviews but this one I will. I never realized how many things caused my migraines. I honestly thought I’d just get the little twinkle lights and bam! It is so much more than that. I thank y’all from the bottom of my heart for developing this app. I found out about it through a lady on eBay who sold me Fiestaware. You never know where you’ll find the best things. It’s the best money I have ever spent. It’s the most I’ve ever known about myself! I still am learning everyday. The only two recommendations I have are please start a campaign and reach out to Primary Care Physicians and Neurologists explaining your app so more patients know about it and so I can get them to want my reports. They do not understand at all! I say app and they think it’s a little easy peasy child game. They have no clue what a fabulous clinical and diagnostic tool this could be for them! Also, please have a place where we can reach out to others in our region/cities/state. I’m new to my area and it would be great to get to know about the area faster. Both in who to seek for care and what the weather is like. I think it would be nice and I would hope others feel the same way. Thank you again. Fabulous job, keep it up 👍

Working Migraine App!!!. Migraines are the worse! This app has helped me, my neurologist, my Homeopathic doctor, my family and friends and of course ME! It helps us understand and navigate through these tough situations and medical issues. It has helped me make hard decisions about my care and how to cope with this situation in my life. Before the app I was somewhat guessing. Now I truly feel I’m in control because I have an advocate and this app is my “Buddy” that I count on to help me do what I have to do and it keeps track of everything so I don’t have to; when the time comes to go the Drs all I have to do is pull up a report and go. It explains everything I’ve been going through so I don’t have to come up with the words that I can hardly find in the first place (thank goodness). It’s a MUST!

Great app! An essential for migraine sufferers. This app is awesome and has a super easy and intuitive UI. Anyone suffering from migraines, especially if you’re in the beginning of this never ending journey of migraine relief, you need to get this app. In the past it’s been difficult to describe and track the attacks and all the circumstances around it. Doctors would say “well maybe it’s the weather, stress, or your diet...” the list goes on. I’ve been able to track when they occur, how long, what is happening physically, externally, meds that I took, dosages, etc. Thank you to the developers and the whole Migraine Buddy team for creating such a powerful and easy to use app! The premium subscription is totally worth it! Happily support the Dev team behind the app. One suggestion? for folks suffering from migraines but may not have the finances for the premium subsection; it may be helpful to add a “donate” or “pay it forward” feature for other premium subscribers to feed into a pool of funds for folks who may not be able to afford to get the premium subscription. As we know - migraines are debilitating and will a greater impact those who are financially insecure.

Single most helpful tool in 15+years. As someone who’s struggled with chronic debilitating migraines for over 15 years and tried so so many different things without any success... I’d also tried many different tracking methods and finally decided that tracking wasn’t going to help, but hinder, as it caused too much focus on the migraines and I needed to focus on living. But this app has changed all of that!!! THANK YOU Migraine Buddy for creating something that helps me do both! For helping me easily, quickly and simply input data about my migraines, keep track, and keep living my life to the best of my ability. But ALSO, the oh so helpful tools, connection with the community, reports, weather (my biggest trigger has always been barometric pressure!! - and now for the first time EVER I have the ability to plan to the hour of when I can take my meds or know when I’m going to start going downhill just to know even if I can’t take one of my meds... it’s helps to know if I need to buck up or to go lay down if I can), ability to see patterns, etc... this app and its tools has been the single most helpful thing in the last decade for me of communicating with my doctors, identifying my auras, and figuring out what actually helps. Thank you!! All in a way that doesn’t take over my life and keep me fixated on my migraines - they are already present enough! If you have migraines and are thinking about this app - GET IT!

Not for occasional migraine sufferers.. I’ve had this app for a while now. The problem I’ve had with it from the beginning is the thing that finally pushed me over the edge last night. There should be a way to override or bypass entering the end time of the last migraine event upon starting a new one. Or have a simple checkbox selection of “1-2 hours”, “2-4 hours”, etc. I don’t always remember to go back and set an exact end time. I’m usually too happy that it’s over to remember to go back and self-report. So then when a new one starts, I have to fumble around my calendars (and my already impaired brain) to try and input an end time just so that I can start recording a new one. Most of the time I just fudge the times with a made up length. Last night my migraine came out of nowhere and I had no time to mess around. So of course this was when I discovered all the updates done to the app. Panicking, I just started jabbing at the screen. It was covered with text and buttons of different colors and fonts - all screaming for my attention. I had no idea how to end the last event or start a new one. I was befuddled in migraine haze and pain and half-thought... and utter confusion. I get a migraine only about 1-3 times a month. Sometimes I go two months without any. Maybe this app isn’t for people who use the app as infrequently as that. For regular users, I’d give this app 4 stars. For people like me, I give it 1-2.

Five Star App. Migraine Buddy is an excellent program for recording your migraines. The reports (especially symptoms, triggers, and weather) help you find patterns and then makes suggestions to help you improve control over your migraines. Very powerful! Guys, get the Plus version if there is any way that you can swing it. It is SO worth it for the extra information, reports, and helping you realize that you can control your own destiny when it comes to migraines. Even if you have had migraines for years (60+ years for me) and even if your migraines are severe (most of mine were level 7-9 for pain) I can guarantee that Migraine Buddy can help you. I have tried numerous programs and this one is by far the best. By the way if you are having trouble affording the Plus version keep an eye out on the program itself. Throughout the year they offer special deals like $20 off or even half price. Thank you Jenny! Thousands (maybe even hundreds of thousands) of people have benefitted from your hard work. I personally cannot even put into words my gratitude.

Yes on this app if you get migraines. I am very glad I’ve found this app. It helps shed a lot of insight onto my migraines. I’ve had them for years and never realized how frequent thy can be until I started recording them. The app also educates you on migraines. I have learned a lot that I didn’t know just by using this app! I’m seeing a chiropractor now and I highly recommend. Yes a lot of money but I had to do something, these headaches were really starting to effect my life. He said a good portion of people that go to chiropractors is for headaches/migraines. Something I didn’t know so throwing that out there for anyone wanting to fix the root of the problem. Migraines are caused by the cervical nerves getting impinged partially or fully. I believe this is due to our muscles getting tight from stress. So it managing stress. When I’m working out and eating clean I have way less migraines. So it’s consistently eating right, working out/walking/moving my body and stress management, taking the magnesium supplements that help me hugely along with seeing a chiropractor. He said you can go for quick relief like one session here and there or constantly to realign your spine and fix the root of the problem. This has all been a discovery process for me so I hope anything I’ve hated her can help someone! The app is seriously a must if you get migraines!!!!

Carla. I love the app as well as the ease of use. I like that I can add in all my quirky side effects. I have also been able to track some Fibromyalgia symptoms with it as well by using the notes section. I have recommend it to all my friends with migraine as well. Hi My only complaint is that I tried to cancel on a 7 day trial thing for some added bells and whistles. After looking at them I tried to cancel on the 6th day, but for some reason whatever it was the cancellation did not go through. Now I can’t seem to get my money back. Even though I told them that I did cancel it. I don’t know why the cancellation did not go through. Needless to say I am very upset, The subscription was $69. I have not heard back from them. My first email I told them that I had tried to cancel. The 2nd email I told them again that I had tried to cancel on the 6th day. I have not had a response. I have sent a 3rd email asking for a refund.

Best App EVER. I have suffered from migraines for 2 years and trying to keep track of them was a nightmare! Then 1 day I find this app! Best day ever! It is so easy to track and the added bonus of the remind me later option ( bottom left side ) is a life saver! Not to mention, all the options you have and can add yourself, like the triggers, pain level, notes which includes a time stamp of when you took your meds!! This app is hands down the easiest to use AND you can send reports to your Dr or save them to send at a later time of need be!! I highly recommend using this app and take part in ever feature it has to offer!! Even the surveys! This app is filled with so much information! Wonder job Jenny and team! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for future updates!! And Jenny, thank for the reply to my email!

I’ve used others this is the best.. I’ve been struggling for years with migraines, variants, vertigo etc. I’ve used a few other apps. I have found this one to be the most thorough. There are so many options, which I think is so necessary when dealing with the mysteries of migraines. Every headache can be a little different, and there are so many triggers. Also as another reviewer said, the screen is dark, that’s better on the eyes. I like that it records my sleep automatically. I don’t have to keep track, it just asks you to confirm, you simply have to open your home screen at night and then again in the morning. The only thing I would change is to be able to change the severity by the hour. If the headache is worse at 8pm you could go to a timeline and change severity for that hour or for however long it lasted.

Such a useful app!!. I am always skeptical when it comes to free apps, are they ever really free? What’s the catch? When is it going to ask for my card details? Well I’m so super happy to have found that Migraine Buddy app is totally free. I think there’s an option to upgrade somewhere but you don’t need to at all. It’s basic features are perfect for recording migraines and even just tension headaches. I LOVE how it records sleep too. It’s great for insurance purposes so that I can get the Botox treatments. It does this by recording and collecting all of your migraines and sleep patterns in detail with so many different options to choose from. If you have migraines and really just want to track for yourself to see how often they occur and how bad they are, then this is the app for you!!! You really won’t be disappointed!

Life Changing!. This app has become an essential key for me to have a functional life right up there with my doctor and my medications. I STRONGLY encourage anyone who averages 5 or more migraines a months to try the free version for a year or two and then upgrade to the paid version. It takes a while to get used to recording migraines and to get comfortable with the app. A year with the simpler free app really helps and it doesn’t make sense to pay for the full version until you’ve got that down and are ready to step up. When you start, make a commitment to stick with it for at least 3 months before quitting and skip all of the additional question to keep it simple until you are more comfortable. It might seem like a lot but it becomes easy with time and is definitely worthwhile. Best wishes!

Great way to track for yourself or Dr.. I’ve had migraines since I was a child and this has been such an effective way for me to track them. I’ve learned more about the nature of my migraines, what my triggers are, and what my best relief methods are. I discovered for instance that my migraines typically last 11+ hours on average! :O It was shocking to realize that I never fully registered that I was in pain for that long. It may seem like a lot of tracking at first, but it becomes second nature very quickly, forces you to think about the nature of your pain, and can be an invaluable tool to help you and your doctor come up with ideas for possible migraine treatment. Minor suggestion-it would be nice if there was another option aside from ‘male’ and ‘female’ in the gender options. I understand that some physical health factors are related to one or the other..but some are also related to being intersex/trans etc (differing hormones, etc) Even if the option was just ‘other’ that would be cool. :)

Awesome App. I have had migraines all my life. As many who have migraines know, they have the power to devastatingly impact your life, and no one truly understands accept your doctor and other people who have migraines. I’m in my late 40s and still get people rolling their eyes when i say i have a headache (even my loving husband of 19 years, lol!). My doctor recommended this app and i love it. I had intermittently used it over the past 2 or 3 years, but since i’ve been home from work during the covid pandemic for over a month, i’ve been using it consistently. Ironically, i’ve had more headaches this month than i’ve had in a while...i guess all the stress from everything going on. But anyway, i love the sleep reports, the detailed features of recording an attack, the home page which says how many days i’ve been attack free, on the day of an attack how it says later it hopes you’re feeling better, all the invaluable tips, the migraine incident reports, the supportive migraine community, the different ways it seeks to help us see how so many things we don’t think of can cause headaches, and so much more. This has been a comforting tool to help me manage and understand my headaches.

Helpful to understand. Not sure if it helps to prevent migraines, but helps to understand migraines and helps to understand what treatments work best for me. Also starting on a preventative and the report which can be downloaded as pdf and printed or emailed directly to your doctor can help you and your doctor decide if the preventive medication is working or not. I feel more in control of my migraines than I ever have before even though they are far more frequent than they have ever been. This app is helping me to learn and get ahead of them. I’m still using the free version and will consider the paid version again. The only thing I don’t like is when you fist sign up, you are given choice of one year or one month paid. If you hit cancel, you can use the free version. You do not get access to all the features. I’m going to review the paid version again, but I definitely wanted to try it for free first before I paid anything. One week would not have been long enough for me. In fact I’ve been using it 2 weeks. I think 2 weeks is a reasonable trial period.

A must have for chronic sufferers. I was diagnosed in 2014 with cluster headaches and placed on Topiramate as a preventative. Most recently, a reevaluation by a new HCP has determined that it is indeed migraines. I am still using Topiramate as a preventative but also Sumatriptan for pain as soon as I feel them coming on. This app is super valuable in monitoring the frequency, triggers, and what is and isn’t helping. I love that I can easily extract all this data for my HCP so they can better understand my needs to address my concerns. I also use WeatherX app which is also for migraine sufferers who experience migraines related to Barometric changes. I call myself a “walking weather station” because even the slightest change can set me off on a downward spiral. Knowledge is key folks! We need to understand in order to treat & dose accurately. So, for those who suffer with migraines and cluster headaches, you would truly benefit from this app to better learn about your own health and how to manage it. In addition, you are helping the medical community because migraines are still not understood completely and therefore more studies are needed and wanted. Thanks so much for creating this app! It is life changing for me!

Extremely useful!!. This is a very useful tool for someone with migraines. It’s so important to track your migraines in today’s world. With the medications out today, you really need to keep track of the number of beaches you have each month, in addition to ALL of the medications you have tried in order to qualify for the new medications. Insurance are real sticklers for details and the more information you can give your dr, the better off you will be in getting to a better quality of life. This app will help you get there by giving you a way to easily track your migraines, meds, symptoms, and a lot of other information AND gives you a way to easily share it with your dr. Give it a fair chance. You won’t be sorry when it comes time to deal with your insurance, I promise!!

Surprisingly more helpful than I thought!. Since this app tracks your sleep, I was able to actually see I wasn’t getting enough sleep. I have chronic migraines that last for days. Being able to see the migraines and sleep patterns on the calendar, put it into perspective. My big wish, however, would to be able to track medications and times taken even when not having a migraine. With my flustering brain fog, I’m always asking myself, “what time did I take that med? It’s also helped me to keep going strong without a triptan. Something about visualizing it helps me to see if I can make it through without a triptan since I’m not feeling too horrible and can wait it out. Too many triptans have a rebound effect and can actually get to a point they no longer help. Thanks for this wonderful app! 🙏💜

Used to be awesome…. This used to be so simple. I had a migraine, I could quickly record start time, symptoms, and rescue meds by clicking some icons to move through screens, skip if needed and go back later to fill in details. I’ve been using it for several years to track migraine patterns as I try different meds, diets, exercise regimes etc. to control chronic migraine, and I thought it was really helpful. Now, it stalls after every selection. I just choose “Record an Attack” and it gets stuck even when I just choose the headache type. It just spins…When I go to actually fill in the details later, I really don’t want to spend 30 min recording info for a single headache. I don’t have the energy or focus to wait for this when I’m just trying to get the basic data recorded for my neuro. Very frustrating! To be honest, I hope this isn’t a push to get loyal users to upgrade to a subscription they don’t need. For info, I’m currently on iPhone 11+max, iOS 14.8, and the app hasn’t worked properly for a couple of months.

Recommend to patients. I am a family physician with migraines x 20+ yrs (hello out there...I hear the medical profession is rife with migraine sufferers), and this has been a particularly bad year for them in my state at least. I’ve been recommending this app to my patients as it is very helpful for me not just in looking at triggers, frequency etc. The app also helps with the emotional reasoning that is very common in chronic illness (“This always happens”, “I only ever have headaches when I want to do something fun.” etc) It has been shown that people with chronic pain and chronic illness are much more likely to fall into those false beliefs, and I see my family fall into them to. It’s nice to have facts to show them and myself. (“Well, I might have missed two fun family events this summer but 80% of my headaches are during the work week which means it’s usually not related to something fun...grin.”). It’s so nice also to see how many others are share in the same situation. I often hear this as I hear patients describe it, but I know others often do not.

Should Be #1 Free App in the App Store 👍🏾. Very detailed app. You can input when the headache started and ended, its triggers, what medications you took, how it affected you, etc. The app even has built-in weather so you can start determining the type of weather just in it had anything to do with your headaches. Great app. And it's free!!! Update (Sep 26, 2020) This is still the #1 app in the App Store. I honestly can’t keep up with the updates so frankly I’m behind. What I like most is that the developers haven’t been greedy like other app developers and tried to nickel and dime us by charging subscription fees yep their product keeps improving. It’s the only app I have that I can’t keep up with the updates. How’s that for a complaint!!! My only recommendation is that is would be even better if the sleep tracking could be incorporated into the Apple Watch. This would make the time I'm sleep more accurate versus the time the phone goes on and off the charger. Im still giving 5 stars though.

Thank You. I am a new user of this app but wanted to send a note of gratitude. I have been a migraineur all of my life. I read the encouraging message you sent this morning to users. I appreciate the functionality of tracking these migraines but now appreciate the sense of support I feel. One of the challenges of this disorder is those non-sufferers making migraineurs feel that we have some sense of control. That is the worst part is how crippling a migraine can be and how they take away all sense of control from one’s life. It is a huge misnomer that if we were only able to manage stress better, we wouldn’t have migraines. Unfortunately, some of my worst spell of migraines have come at the least stressful moments in my life. There are so many misgivings about this disorder that advocacy and support are important. Your message this morning was one of self care and compassion, and very much appreciated.

Great app for tracking. Really like this app. Only had a few days but already know I am doing a MUCH better job of tracking my pain, treatments & symptoms. Easy to customize & use. Very helpful feedback and comprehensive tracking information. I have quit using several other apps because they were hard to use and complicated. I tried to pretend it just wasn't happening as often or as severely as they were because the tracking was so complicated. When my doctors couldn't effectively treat me because I couldn't provide clear information regarding my headaches/neck/shoulder pain I decided to try again. I saw this app recommended online & highly rated on the App Store and decided to give it a chance. I'n so glad I did! This makes it much easier to track AND keep track of all of the pertinent details. Encouraging messages are great too! This is a well thought out program & I'm impressed.

This is the one you want.. I haven’t been back to my neurologist since starting to use this app, but I am looking forward to having a lot more trends to share. You know, all that info they are expecting from a time your brain is fuzziest & lack of quality sleep has temporarily consumed your short-term memory. The screens are customizable, can add to during your changing attack, or an area can be skipped and returned to later if you just don’t have enough focus time left to do it right that instant. The fact that the screens are DARK make recording possible. Somebody with migraines finally developed a useful migraine app! Love the migraine buddy option as well. It updates my husband of a new migraine without me having to do anything extra (like opening up a bright phone/text screen). I haven’t utilized the community aspect of this app, but it is helpful to see the # of people in your area also suffering that day (weather/allergen interaction). The reports are looking promising so far. Lots more but these are the features I’m impressed with most thus far.

iPhone issues. This was the best migraine app. I really like how it collates and tracks everything. But now that it no longer shows up in the notifications in settings on the iPhone I get no notifications from this app. I’ve tried everything. My notifications are setup right inside the app, but since it’s not in iPhones notifications listing on my phone it no longer gives me any notifications. I find that without the notifications I hardly ever use the app anymore. My migraines haven’t gone away, I just don’t track them. I was quite reliant on the app to remind me to update my latest migraine. Without that well I haven’t done anything. It also doesn’t update me that the chats are messaging. I have several chats that are supposed to pop up when people message and I know they are active as I’ve checked on them. But I get no notifications about it at all. It’s sad, cause I really used this app a lot in the beginning.

Great new design and awesome devs team. I love the new UI designs the developers have been making but notice that now the app home screen has finally been updated to match the migraine reporting screen app load times are VERY long. Sometimes the load ing icon just keeps spinning and the app never actually opens. Sometimes closing that app and reopening fixes this, other times it doesn’t. The sleep auto reporting feature seems to be one of the culprits for this. I hope the devs team can fix this soon. Migraine Buddy is great app otherwise, and very helpful to track migraines and share data with my doctor. Update Jan 28, 2023 Many thanks to the dev team for investigating what was causing my app to load slowly and fix it for me! Great responsiveness from the dev team - thank you!

Great App!. I’ve only been diagnosed with migraines for a little over 2 years, but I’ve been having them regularly since late 2003. I’ve tried to track them in other apps using the mood area and just typing in the information, but I ran out of space and couldn’t give a good answer to the doctors/nurse practitioners until now. I can finally identify where they normally start, and exactly how many I have in a month or every three months. I would always underestimate how many I actually had and how long they lasted. I love the notes section I can track everything included the actual pain level I feel. (I hate the numbers, but I found a picture that I now use for identifying my number.) I like the option to select if I think it may be over, but I’m not sure. The time stamps are great. I’ve only used it since May, but it has become my favorite. I tell my friends and anyone I meet who suffers from chronic headaches about this app. I’m planning to introduce it to my daughter who complains of headaches because it so easy to use. Overall, I love this app! Great job!

So Helpful!!. This app has been life-changing in such a positive way!! I had been looking for an app just like this for many years, but had finally given up until December of 2019 when my doctor and I decided to start me on a rather new medication. It tends to take several months to work, and I had no previous reliable data about my migraine duration or strength, so my doctor also suggested a couple of migraine tracking apps, his personal recommendation being Migraine Buddy. Not only did it clearly and concisely display the evidence of my medication working, it’s efficacy, and the effects of things like late or missed doses; it also allowed me to be able to provide my doctors with far better information regarding my attacks than I had ever managed to give in the past! It has taken a great deal of stress off my shoulders:-D

Great App!. This app has helped me so much to track my migraines and be able to communicate with my doctor about what I’m experiencing. So often after a migraine is over I forget about how intense they are, or what may have triggered them, or how long I was truly affected. I also learned so much through the insights tab about triggers and ways that I can help myself feel better. Because of this I was finally able to narrow down a treatment that worked for me and reduce my migraines. It has also brought support of fellow sufferers and finally feeling like I’m not alone and that it’s not just in my head. I recommend the app to anyone I know that suffers from migraines to help them better understand what’s going on and to help connect them to a community that understands what they are going through.

Thankful. I truly appreciate this app. It really helps me collect and store the info relating to my attacks so I can see triggers and similarities as well as learn what helps me and others to feel better and maintain a healthy baseline. A great educational / knowledge base provides insights which help me get through migraine attacks and understand them better. Never have I experienced crashes or glitches. I think there are caring people behind this app- because the way things are laid out is pretty intuitive and those resources which are free are plentiful, which makes this a must for me. One of the most valuable aspects provided is a barometric monitor which provides updates on the changes in weather in my area. As most of my migraines are weather related (or triggered) this is a most valued resource for me and this one resource sold me on this app as I knew weather related migraines were taken seriously. Thank you to those who have created such a helpful and caring resource, it really is a blessing !

Wonderful app that is always being made better!!. Love this free app!! Easy to navigate and record migraines. I have been using this app since April of 2017 and it has done wonders for me! It allows my doctors to see what I actually go thru, frequency, what meds work and dosages and duration of migraine. Lots of data can be entered which means lots of different results to be seen. They offer different ways to view the data to see if there is a pattern. My pain specialist was very intrigued by the printed report. Love that we can start an attack and then just leave it and go back to enter in the meds and steps used to try to stop the migraine. Can be personalized very easily so the reports show accurately what you go thru. The biggest benefit is that all of this is FREE! In a world where migraines are not understood, this app being free helps me to show all my doctors that I am serious in working for a treatment plan that works for me, plus there is no more guessing as to what meds to take and you can track when you took them last so you can make sure you are taking meds as prescribed by your doctor. It is a wonderful app and so happy they created it. One more tool to help us migraine warriors in the battle against this horrible disease!

Awesome Migraine Tool. My doctor still wants me to keep track of my migraines on paper. It is difficult for me- I’ve rarely been up to the task especially on migraine days. This APP has has enabled me to track my migraines over years and share specific info that I choose through “reports” with anyone I am working with. And the app has improved considerably over the years I have been using it. The team is open to suggestions and has implemented so many great upgrades! My Migraines have declined significantly in frequency, duration and intensity over the last few years; and my use of medicine has declined significantly with the app being a significant contributor to my success. Tracking vital information, having an informed and committed community of like people to share ideas with, and getting updates of new medicines, techniques, and tools is invaluable. I wish all apps were as user-friendly and all developers were as committed to quality, instrumental development and timely upgrades. Thank you!

Unbelievably helpful.. I don’t ever really slow down to write actual reviews but I have to say that this app is one I would love to personally thank the creator for. I always thought my migraines were something no one else really suffered from. I now realize that this is an actual community with real people who go through what I go through everyday. Every cluster headache and migraine wasn’t something I had to suffer with by myself. The simple “you are not alone” message when I’m having a really bad attack helps in many ways that I can’t describe. Being able to inform my doctor about everything in actual time was and has been a lifesaver for me. I really recommend this app. 100%, no one should feel alone especially when there is a real community with real people who are also suffering from migraines and things of that sort.

Best app ever for migraneurs! A MUST for you and your doctor!. I have been using this app for about 5 years! (1) It's free! (2) It is useful for you and your neurologist! (3) It is a wonderful tool for documentation for not your doctor but also for your insurance company regarding Precertification for meds or procedures appeals, and for SS disability if necessary via the app’s export option! Be certain to check out that important option! Words are inadequate to express how helpful it has been to me. (4) It provides migraine education through articles and the like. I share this info and encourage every migraneurs about this wonderful app! I also asked my neuro to share the information! Thank you, MigraineBuddy! I’m so appreciative! I used to have 4-6 migraine days weekly. Since dropping all the other drugs except Emgality, Reyvow, and using my CefalyDual, I am having about 4-6monty and duration and severity have decreased! The past 90 days, I had 70 attack free days! I have my life back! Thank you for helping me to discover triggers and helping keep my neuro well-informed! You are the best!

Fantastic app with a nice and simple UI. As someone who has suffered from migraines for my entire life I was always trying to find an effective way to track them and record details. However, I kept having trouble remembering and keeping everything organized. I love this app because it’s so easy to enter the info, but it also has a good amount of detail. It compiles the data and presents it to you in an interesting way that can help you get a new perspective on symptoms, triggers, and your body’s patterns. I especially like the sleep tracking part (it’s linked to my FitBit, but it can also link to an Apple Watch), as that is one of my main triggers, and having definitive information about my sleep schedule can really help me predict and prevent migraines. The resources are helpful and the chat forum is a wonderful place to discuss your experiences with other migraine sufferers, as well as to get advice or tips on how to manage your migraines. My main issues with the app are mostly that there are occasionally typos, which can sometimes make it feel slightly less professional, and that the layout could probably be improved a little (it’s quite bland and sometimes things kinda blur together). If I were to suggest anything I would suggest the ability to make a more in-depth profile and the option to do private messaging. I believe it would be quite helpful to be able to have one-on-one conversations with people you might have met through the forum.

So Helpful! Wish they had more options for hormonal changes for women.. Hey there. So far, I have found this app to be exceptional in the details, information, and personalized help they provide for documenting migraines. Unfortunately, the only question the app asks is if you are on your period. Besides that, there are no questions that refer back to hormones. From my limited knowledge and experience and what I’ve heard from doctors, migraines often stem from swift hormonal changes in women ranging from early teens to menopause. The problem is that not all women just get them on their period, but right before or after, or before, during and after ovulation. My suggestion would be for this app to create a period tracker they would take the information from. Or even put more questions about where you are on your cycle in the attack diary. Besides this, I absolutely love the app! Thanks!

Incredible Tracking Tool. My doctor and I much appreciate this app. It makes tracking headaches in a timely and detailed way easy, and exports data in a usable format. The app has revealed trends that contrast with my memory: For example, I thought my headaches correlated with PMS and happened most often on weekends, when in fact most of them occur after PMS and during the work week. It also gives basic trends on which treatments I note as "helpful" most often. It takes several months to get enough of a sample size to find trends, but the dark interface, notifications, and supportive writing encourage me to log whenever I have a headache. Thank you for designing this so thoughtfully and for allowing patients to use this for free. Tracking trends and providing exports for my doctor are so valuable in finding tx for my headaches!

Amazing once again. They seem to have resolved my one and only issue I had with the app! Up until recently, this app was great. It has many great features for tracking migraines and makes it easy to do so and see how many you’ve had in a month, and allows you to track many specific details about your migraines. However, recently, after I’m logging a migraine that is still in progress, EVERY TIME, I get a pop window for “Migraine Reminders.” This window says that in order to help prevent you from forgetting to close your entry, the app can send you reminders. It says you can turn them off at anytime. The only option to select is “Understood.” After selecting this, EVERY TIME it takes me to my notification settings for the app on my phone. If I wanted to set reminders, I would have done so the first 40+ times I’ve gotten this message. It’s terribly annoying that the only thing you can do from here is allow the app to open up your phone settings. Let’s say you fail to tap “understood” and just close the app instead. When you open the app again, the window will still be there waiting for you to tap on “understood.” I don’t want reminders!!

So intuitive you wonder why other apps can’t be as good. I recently was diagnosed with cluster headaches and was told to start keeping a headache diary. After some trial and error i realized there must be an app for this. I downloaded Migraine Buddy because it was the first one to pop up. It deserves that spot. The interface is incredibly intuitive and simple. It walks you through every question any medical professional may have about your headache, even ones you may not have thought to track yourself. You can also customize many screens to be even better and more relevant to your pain and relief systems, which is also an incredibly easy process to do (seriously I didn’t do that at first because I thought it would be a longer process but no, takes a few seconds). I cannot recommend this app highly enough. I haven’t even experimented with all it can do. This app has seriously made the world of chronic headaches a little easier.

Such a great app. I use the notes section the most. This app is the best one for it. I can describe what I feel, what changes I have, and I can add things all along the way. I do wish I could change the intensity level during the migraine period since I have chronic migraine and it just never ends. I will feel terrible in my body and have all the cold extremities, the sensitivities, fatigue, and ear ringing and dizziness, but not the headache. So it’s hard to put that into a migraine intensity number. Maybe add another section for intensity of symptoms. With or without the headache. With vestibular migraine as well, I learned I most likely have that- it explains a lot as to why I feel so bad in between big attacks. But I love that I can email info. But I wish the link didn’t expire after 14 days. I can’t always print tons of pages, but I want to have a backup of my reports. Thank you so much for this app !

Excellent app – would like some functional improvements. Been using this app for years, and it’s helped me discover a few major triggers, ones that were not always the case but have developed over time. The app tracks numerous factors in multiple categories which helps discover triggers that are combination triggers. Some improvements I’d like to see are: 1. “Quick record” feature that, if your pain level is above a certain threshold, the start time and weather are recorded. All other questions are put on hold until your pain status changes. 2. Level change recording – sometimes the level of pain and effects change but within the same migraine. Right now, a separate migraine record must be recorded if a person wants to track that. The reason for tracking that is because, sometimes, lying down to sleep has actually made my migraine worsen. So, it is helpful to track all other factors to determine when a reliever can become a trigger. 3. Apple Watch support. With the sleep tracker feature added to Migraine Buddy, the option to wear my watch to bed over keeping my phone on my bed is a safer option for me personally as I am likely to knock the phone off the bed and cracking the screen.

Useful but annoying. I like the app a lot to help me track the frequency and intensity of my migraines as well as keep up with triggers, useful treatments, sleep schedule, etc. but the one thing that i HATE about this app and annoys me to NO END are the CONSTANT notifications. Its like the only way you can get the app to leave you alone is if you’re just constantly on the app at all times. The insights page can be a nice resource to learn new info and tools but the app will always always always say that you have a new notification even if you’ve just read everything new on there and even interacted with all the interactive posts. It’s so annoying because I’m one of those people that likes to try and keep my notifications cleared but it is IMPOSSIBLE to do that with this app. Too many notifications! I have my notifications on for the app to remind me to log my sleep and migraine times but the constant notifications are never ending and drive me nuts! I wish it wasn’t so annoying because I really like the usefulness of the app and I've never found anything like it but the bombardment is very irritating.

Amazing Migraine App. This isn’t just a migraine tracking app. This is an entrance into an entire migraine sufferer community. I have met and chatted with so many migraine sufferers from all over the world and have gotten some great advice. I have been suffering for a while and I am glad all my experience can help others in the form or advice or just saying what I experienced. I feel like I have such a strong support network now all from the app. This apps purpose is to track migraines and it does that with ease. You can track the meds you take and what triggers you had that day to try and find migraine patterns. It’s so much better than me logging it onto my calendar. This way it is all on one place and if I lose my phone all my data is saved on my account through the app unlike my calendar method. Great job Migraine Buddy!!! Keep up with the good work!!

Life Changing Tool. I have used this app daily for almost a year I am beyond thankful it exists. It has allowed me to truly learn my headaches and keep a record in such an easy way. It’s helped me learned my body and what is helping me and what isn’t. I’m so beyond thankful for this app and how I can easily take it to my doctors and physically show them the changes each month and what triggers are prevalent, how things are impacting each day, reliefs that are work and aren’t, and also how things change over time. I am so thankful the free app is so wonderful because in a world of migraine tools most things aren’t, so thank you for making such a wonderful app truly free for those who need it and for being an amazing tool to help those who are often suffering and misunderstood by the medical community.

Beat Migraine APP Out There!. This APP has truly been a huge blessing for me. It is so much easier now to track migraines, triggers, and remedies as well as print reports for my doctors. I’ve been using the free version of the APP for about 4 years now and have nothing but positive things to say about it. I also believe that Jenny and the people behind the APP truly care about migraine sufferers. They even met with me and some other migraines in Dublin, Ireland a few years ago to discuss the APP, what improvements could be made and to get our input. They were very professional, yet seemed genuinely concerned. I could hardly believe that they would take the time to meet with APP users and not only that, some of them had even traveled from other countries for a business conference yet they took the time out to meet with us. I can’t say thank you enough to Jenny and the team for this amazing tool. I wish I could afford the paid version but it’s not affordable for me due to low income because of my husband’s cancer and the fact that I’m his caregiver. But the free APP has still been a lifesaver and I highly recommend it to every migraine sufferer!

Upgrades are more like downgrades. I was not happy with the upgrades made earlier in 2018. They had a really good thing going and by trying too hard to make it better, in my opinion, ruined it. There were more pictures and fewer labels, frustrating for those of us that can read. And became slightly less intuitive to use. And then I got a new device and many of my apps didn’t transfer. I had to reinstall the app, and for some reason, when I logged on it wouldn’t sync with my data. Customer support told me I would have to start over recording them. I lost over a year and a half of migraine diaries, which was problematic. And I kept getting errors logging in that said “Something seems to have gone wrong. Try again later...” Customer support did respond within 48 hours, but the help I got was useless. I’ve yet been able to login to the app on my new device and have gone ages without being able to record migraines. I’ve given up using this.

Exceptional features and connect-to-provider lists. This is the first app review I have ever slowed down to contribute. Working in healthcare it takes a lot for a health-related app to impress me and I have been extremely impressed by Migraine Buddy. I like that I can add in my sleep time rather than rely on the overnight feature, which may be great I just have not tried it yet. I downloaded this app while visiting a family member who has pets and triggered ongoing migraines for me. I love that I could use the connect-to-a provider feature to locate acupuncturists nearby. There is a lot of flexibility within this app that makes it very easy to use on the go, during an attack, and to catch up with after an attack. I really like that I can add notes to the day because I personally like to include what I’m eating especially if it’s something unusual or new to me so that I can see if it makes a difference in the coming days. At this time, if I made a suggestion it would be to offer a food journal as a complement to the app that can be used along side it for tracking and reporting. I really look forward to seeing how the predictability alerts will help me gauge and treat my migraines. Life should only get better using Migraine Buddy!

Best Migraine Tracker Ever!. This is the best migraine tracking app. It tracks your migraines and all of the symptoms. It helps to make associations between possible triggers and your migraine. It also has information on migraines in regards to things that may help. In addition, there is the ability to get on a group chat with other migraine sufferers if you want, its optional. I did just because I wanted to see when I was exploring the ap. You don't even have to write anything if you don't want to. Its helpful to see there are others suffering from migraines like yourself. I have chronic near daily migraines and have rarely met anyone who has them like I do. This ap automatically runs reports on your migraines that you can look at. It is also very helpful for your Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to tract trends and see how you are doing. Also, the prompts in the ap are friendly and encouraging. You don't even have to fill them all in at the time of an attack, and can go back and edit them later. Give it a try, I think you will really like it. Thank you developers so much for making this! Its really great!

I love this app. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and it’s really just awesome. It helps me keep track of which medications seem to work best for me especially since my headaches have gotten much worse as I’ve grown older. To the point that I have a medication organizer I take with me EVERYWHERE. They generate reports to help you identify trends and triggers and so much more. I am able to track and outline deviant and new symptoms and it has helped me seek treatment as I hadn’t been keeping proper track of my headaches and migraines before and was blown away by the frequency with which I was suffering. You even have the option of starting to track a headache to finish it later which is really handy when you can’t stand to look at the screen! All without harassing me with ads or wanting me to sign up for a membership! If you’re in the market for a headache/migraine tracker then give this one a try for sure!

The developer really understands!. It’s great how you can enter detail later when you feel better, or as you go. It’s the first time in 20 years I have really logged my migraines. It’s given me and my doctor real insight into them. Thanks Migraine Buddy team. 👍👍

Overall fantastic. One annoying persistent bug.. It has been impossible to buy themes and has been through several versions and several contacts with the account that the error tell me to. Default theme's orange is painful to me during attack. Problem is that they won't fix it! 😡

I appreciate this app.. A lot of people have put a lot of time and effort into this app for the good of other people and I cannot thank you all enough for doing this. This is a genuinely useful app, highly recommend trying it to anyone who suffers from migraines.

Superb migraine tracker. Such a useful migraine tracker! Collects information I wouldn’t even think to collect but which is definitely relevant. I like the well thought through details in it- describing the levels of pain, time stamping meds, extra details in reports as we go, etc. I wish I could hit a button to say I’ve had approximately x many migraines I didn’t log in (broke and replaced my phone). I wish I could say which meds I take regularly. Some of the migraine meds are my regular medications so I don’t know whether to say I took them or not. My regular meds change, so from seeing doctor to doctor they might see me when I’m on different meds to what I was on earlier. And I wish I could describe what symptoms of my chronic illness I currently have during any migraine, to see if there are correlations there (I guess those are covered with other symptoms). I am blown away by this app. It is by far the best out there. And so much better than I would’ve thought up myself. Thank you guys for creating it!!

Fantastic app. This is such a great app to record your migraines and the reports that you can great are just fantastic. Certainly great information you can use to discuss treatment options with your doctors.

Migraine Buddy is fantastic. I love this app because it tracks patterns in my migraines and it warns me of vulnerability factors. It great to have the reports to show my doctor too and that it gives me tips to try when I’m having an attack.

Really functional!. This is such an amazing app! I used to have so much trouble with keeping a headache diary for my neurologist. Being able to log it while you actually have it and edit it as you go is so useful.

Almost Five Stars. One of the best apps for managing migraines. It loses one star for the UI and the inadequate head map, it has eyes and head but no section jus for the forehead. The best part is the ability to export reports.

Migraine Buddy. I am a Chronic Migraine sufferer This AP is the best for recording and reporting I can send my monthly and quarterly reports to my neurologist to help him understand everything going on from triggers to sleep patterns to humidity and pressures and send me Treating doctor a report in a pdf for him to have when I consult with him every 12 weeks. Is so much better then a manual diary has so many extra features which helps with planning important events dates meetings etc. I am a very busy person I own and operate 6 businesses. And this diary has been a blessing. I highly recommend it to people who suffer any types of headaches or head neurological problems. I love it and use it all the time. I must say that when I have a severe migraine the last thing I want to do is pick up my phone which I usually can’t read any way or feel to nauseated to do so. But. Even at my worst I can manage to recorded a few things going on. Then later when sort of back to normal again I am able to edit my attack which is really good to be able to go back and review and edit before sending the report to my neurologist By the way. My neurologist is yet to comment I will let you know what he’s thoughts are about this app when I see him next. Been using this app for a little over 4 months and it’s very interesting to go back over and review what been happening Love this ap

Definitely the BEST!. I get headaches/migraines almost weekly and with this app I’ve been learning what triggers them as well as what helps get rid of them. After about 8-10 recordings you get some awesome statistics to show your doctor/physio/osteopath etc. or just to check out for yourself. I highly recommend!

Excellent. I love this app. I’m planning on going to see a specialist and it’s so handy being able to show them on this the typical pattern my migraines follow. I’ve also learned that I’m not alone with some of my more odd migraine symptoms through the chat groups ... highly recommend 5*

100% Benefit.. Recommended by both my Physiotherapist and Doctor. It’s a really handy tool that we’re really using to try and find cause and effect, and it’s been so beneficial. The tracking tools are incredible, and the spaces for qualitative data entry are super helpful.

Insightful. This has helped a lot to find triggers and treatments options as well as tracking how often I get migraines and whether they are more likely around hormonal periods. I couldn’t live without my migraine buddy.

I love that you can custom make buttons that suit your medications, triggers and treatments!. Easy to use although it does tend to be after the event has taken place as I usually can’t see during one! I use it sporodically now but then the noughts of migraines are more sporodic now than they used to be! I wish I had known about it and been well enough to use its features in the early days of tracking chronic daily migraines…but better late than never I spose!

Not user-friendly. As a sufferer of chronic cluster headaches, I would like an easy-to-use recording app for the time a headache starts and the medication I have taken with the option of including details of where the pain is. Sadly this is far too ‘busy’ to try to use when a headache hits. There are too many screens to have to try to progress through and it won’t let me record my next headache until I say when the last one finished. Usually, if I take a medication that works, the headache goes away and I’m either drowsy or asleep when the headache ends. Try to consider these points when designing for people in so much pain.

Bloated nonsense. Tried to come back to this app after a few months, it has been ruined by an update that make you sift through dozens of pages trying to sell you useless pseudoscience “reports” to find the most basic info like average sleep time or the calendar with your migraine history. It’s made deliberately tedious to navigate just to shove as much gimmicky advertising in your face as possible. Download something that actually lets you view the migraine data you entered without giving you a headache in the process.

Great app 👍👍👍👍👍. Highly recommend! Very helpful. First time i have used an app for tracking my migraines. Its very good. I like how you can add in your own symptoms and relief methods if they are not already on the lists. Very user friendly.

Great Migraine tracker. Migraine is troubling enough without trying to remember particular details when updating your Doctor. This is a great tool for recording attacks, symptoms and severity. So you are clear on frequency, duration and severity. Also helps to highlight changes that may be occurring that you push aside with just the sheer agony and helplessness of attacks.

Great app - irritating notification badges hard to dismiss. Whilst I love this app so far and have a premium subscription, one major irritation is the notification badge on the app displaying an unread notification - then you have to hunt around in the app to find the notification for the badge to disappear. Sometimes I just give up since it’s not obvious what is triggering the notification in the app. In some sections there is a clear icon displaying an unread item but in others there isn’t. The developer should think about grouping all notifications in a single location so that it’s easy to find an action to dismiss the notification. *Update - sleep tracking is so terrible that I’ve switched it off*

Comprehensive and Friendly. If this app has a fault, it’s that it’s too good! There are lots of options and pages to navigate but they make for a great choice of information to help you and your doctor better understand your issues. It’s also very friendly- I supplied some feedback about a feature I’d have liked the app to have, and I quickly got a reply which, not surprisingly, explained was already there! After some playing around I’ve streamlined my record keeping experience and found the app to be quick and intuitive to use. They also provide information via email and within the app which is helpful, encouraging and serves to remind me that I’m not alone in my migrainous world.

So supportive; a must have!. This app is BRILLIANT!!!! Having migraines can feel so isolating and random! This app guides you through so many different elements of migraine stages, with a stunning variety of triggers, noted effects and methods of relief. I have learnt so much!

Best Migraine App. I’m so happy my Neurologist introduced me to Migraine Buddy! It’s the best app I’ve ever used to track migraines - it’s really helped me understand them better. It’s easy to use, beneficial for me and my doctors, full of information that’s easy to understand, tips, surveys and community resources. This app has everything you need and I’d recommend it to anyone who suffers with headaches, migraines or anything in between.

I love my Migraine Buddy!. Migraine Buddy helps me keep track of all my migraines and different symptoms that come along with it, therefore helping me better see when to expect a migraine and how to help it, if possible. This app also helps me keep in touch with my doctor, and provides other information to show we are not alone. I love this app, have used many different ones, and will not go back to any now that I've found Migraine Buddy!!! 💕

Best of the bunch. I’ve used a lot of apps for my migraine. This has been the one I’ve stuck with. Highly recommend.

I N C R E D I B L E. I never do app reviews but OMG migraine buddy deserves one. I’m a chronic migraine sufferer, have been for years. I have tried soooo many apps and nothing compares to migraine buddy. I can track my attacks, symptoms, triggers, everything! Super insightful!! Highly recommend this app to any migraine sufferers!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!

The best app for Migraine sufferers!. Migraine Buddy is a wonderful app where I can record details of attacks, track frequency and intensity of attacks plus much more, all of which can be provided to doctors. It also has wonderful support groups that you can join where lots of helpful advice is shared but also general understanding support of this medical condition is given. I could not survive without this app!

Great tracking app. Such a useful app to track all aspects of your migraine attacks and will keep checking in on you. Provides information on up to date treatments or possible news and allows you to be in touch with others in chat rooms. Is so so useful and an incredible app!!!

Very happy. Tracking my migraines was so helpful when my doctors were considering or trialling new treatments, and this app makes it so easy. Thankfully I’ve found a treatment that works 75% of the time, but every so often I open the app up just for the little boost of positivity I get looking at how many days I’ve been migraine-free!

Amazing. Am new to tracking migraines and this one was recommended to be online. It is easy to use and I love the dark screen so I can log in the middle of an attack! Great app! Thanks

Amazing !. This app is a dream come true. I see many different doctors and specialists that need every bit of information about my migraines. I use to try and track it my self but now their is this app that is amazing. Really great app you can not and record just about everything when you are having a migraine.

So helpful. I have found this app incredibly helpful! I was searching “tips for migraines” and a youtuber recommended this app. So interesting to see where and when I most frequently get migraines and whether or not they are linked to my sleeping patterns.

Great App...but some suggestions. Must have been created my a fellow migraine sufferer. Only suggestion... would benefit from being able to date and time stamp medications and other reliefs automatically with the ability to adjust and add multiple listings for those of us that have days old migraines that need multiple meds etc and time sleeps etc. I would also like to sync with my Fit bit or iPhone health app to get my sleep data it’s much more accurate

Great App. This a a great app. I have been using it for several years now. The last few months my sleep times aren’t automatically updating. It is consistently about 1 week behind. Not sure if it’s a glitch.

Perfect app for tracking migraines. I was so happy when I found this one. I suffer from a lot of headaches and all the other apps weren’t able to collect the kind of data I needed. This has it all headache intensity (with description for each level), a way to track the medication and non medical things done to try and defeat the headache (with the ability to rate how well each worked during that attack) track potential triggers and the type of aura and affect the migraine is having on you and how it has impacted your day. It also contains a diagram to say where you are feeling the migraine. Then after a few headaches it can provide insights. While it collects a lot it’s a simple interface to enter it, where you are not swamped with questions and have the choice to do the thinking later if it’s that bad.

Migraine Buddy is great. I started using this app a month ago. Usually when I have a migraine the last thing I want to do stop and think about all the aspects of it. This app allows me to quickly log the migraine. My neurologist spends a long time trying to tailor the treatment to the aspects of the headaches....now I can give her accurate information.

Dark Mode. So many trackers I preview on the App Store never get a download cos they’re all white UIs and will just HURT. Mum put me onto using this app when I started to get what is probably migraine attacks. I can track whatever is happening quickly and easily. ADHD friendly!

Sleep info. Migraine buddy has been informative as to the number of migraines I have in a month, however, I would like to see a more detailed way to show sleep cycles, especially with interrupted sleep patterns to get a more accurate picture

Good app. This app is a great app for tracking all your migraine and headaches if I was to make one suggestion it would be that if you change the intensity of your migraine through out the tracking of it it recorded each time it changed in the notes automatically so you can see how it changes through out the migraine

Brilliant + so helpful. Not just a well thought out + useful app, but a sense of support in assisting understanding this sometimes very debilitating issue + deciphering triggers. A great tool too for educating my partner in how varied + individual migraines can be - he quiet enjoys competing any attack details fir me 😁 Highly recommended!

Clarity. This app has helped me to understand the process a migraine has. It’s comprehensive guide has assisted me in identifying my triggers and more effectively manage the migraine. I feel much more hopeful that I can reduce the number and severity of the attacks.

Fantastic. Have been using this for a while to track migraines. Detailed data so useful to see how many times I have need to take migraine medication vs regular medication. Pressure variation also useful. Would love to see Apple Watch app integration so I can just click a button on the watch to start migraine instead of opening my phone.

Good app but don’t be fooled, you will be charged!. I have a 1 star review due to your lack of transparency with fees. I had to put billing info in, prior to getting the app, with a notice saying that there will be no charge unless there’s in app purchases. I put billing info in and confirm, then I’m charged! What’s the go with that?! Really disappointing and doesn’t instill any faith or trust. How will I now trust that I won’t be charged for anything else whilst using the app?!

Great App! Only use free version. Hey all, This is a great app, I use only the free version and find it so helpful. My neurologist asked me to keep track of my migraines and this has been so easy and helpful. Keeps track of so many things and is simple and easy. Definitely recommend!

Amazing app!. I’m a medical student married to a doctor and we both think this app is incredible. I’ve been a long time sufferer of severe headaches that don’t quite fit with the usual migraine symptoms and this app has been so helpful in tracking these headaches and learning some of the triggers for them. Thanks to this app I learned that my period is one of the biggest triggers and I can now anticipate those headaches! I wouldn’t change a single thing about this app. I highly recommend it to anyone that suffers from headaches or migraines.

Can’t Input Migraine Attack Duration or End Time.. I couldn’t record an attack when selecting ‘migraine ended in sleep’ because I didn’t realise you needed to also input an end time for the migraine regardless, for the analytics of the app to work (the same can be said when selecting the option for a migraine starting in your sleep). Jenny solved this mystery for me which was great. I am now really enjoying the app and I can see it being incredibly useful for me.

Tracking migraines for your doctor. I have never left a review on an app. But this one I needed to. I have tried other migraine apps that do not compare as good as this one. I would highly recommend this, especially if your someone who needs to track migraines and headaches for your doctor or even just to understand what the cause might be.

Well designed and useful App!. This app has been super helpful for me to remember things to tell my doctor. Being able to have accurate information about attacks is fantastic. It's also very user-friendly and easy to use. Highly recommend!

Life saver!. I told my headache specialist I was having two migraines a month but they were sooo much longer than she had imagined. I was always forgetting or losing my headache diary so this app, finally got Doc’s attention ! I am almost on track now to ridding myself of them or at least controlling them better. I have Migraine buddy to thank...

Great assistance. I’ve recently started using this app to track my migraines as I’m terrible at tracking thru other means as I’ve been asked by my Dr so that he can decide next course of tx for my migraines.. It’s easy to use altho sometimes I can’t do much more than press start of migraine but I ❤️ that I can do this and return to edit l8r.. I found this app thru the migraine summit for others that r interested as one of their recommended apps for sufferers to track to aid with tx.. thanx migraine buddy 😊

Thank You Migraine Buddy :). I suffer from chronic migraines and daily headaches and while I have only been using this app for a little over a week now, I found it is by far the easiest and most accurate way to track the frequency of an attack while also recording the symptoms and potential triggers. When you suffer from as many migraines/headaches as I do logbooks, diaries and calendars are just too difficult to keep a record of - especially during an attack! Love this <3

The most useful app I use. Using this app has help me track my symptoms and frequency so I can manage this condition. It has been very useful when communicating with my physician. I have recommended it to everyone I know who suffers from migraine. I find it empowering and it validates a very real affliction.

Widget this!. I love this app so much and have used it for years! It’s tracked a lot of my migraines over the years and find it helps my doctors what types of migraines I get. Unfortunately when I get migraines my brain gets super fuzzy and forget to track time to time and would love to be able to add migrainebuddy as a quick widget so I’m able to track the time start/finish without having to open the application everytime. ~Cheers!

Migraine Buddy is Great!. Migraine buddy is slowly starting to unveil what causes my migraines and is changing the way I live for the better. I would recommend using this app to track how often you take your Triptans (if you take them) since you aren’t supposed to take them more than 10 times/month. Also helpful to show to doctors so they are aware of the extent of your migraines so they can treat you appropriately 👍

Great support from Jenny at Migraine Buddy. I recently had an issue with my account on the Migraine Buddy app, through my own fault and almost lost all my records. Jenny and the Migraine Buddy Team were able to help me fix it. They were very prompt with their responses and found a solution. Thank you Jenny. Marty.

Well thought out. And really useful … if you have weather related headaches or dizziness. Nice to know it’s the weather causing it, not you.

AMAZING RESOURCE!. I’ve been using MB for about 8 years and it’s the best for documentating my migraine! They constantly update it so users have the best experience possible. What I love most is the MB community in the chat groups that help you feel like you’re not alone! What a wonderful, supportive and educational app and community!! I’d give more stars if I could!!!

Highly recommend, I’ve been using this app for years. I’ve been using the free version for years, and this is one of the few apps that gives you fantastic free use. If I hadn’t decreased my migraines (with this app), I’d probs pay for migraine buddy plus.

Complete overload. This app pushes it’s paid content so hard I feel like I’m choking. I don’t want constant notifications of articles. I don’t want to be consistently reminded I’m not paying for some feature I don’t want. I don’t want red dots on every page because I ignore most of the features of this app. I’m in blinding pain, I just want to log that I have a headache and what meds I used and maybe some notes. Developers, I’d you find my review I want an off switch for features and content in this app so I can simplify it to my preferences. Until then, no thanks.

Quite helpful. The only reason you are missing one star is that there has been quite a learning curve and only this month ( 2nd or 3rd) do I feel like I am using it correctly. I also am very thankful that you linked me up with the free Migraine summit which I think might be even more helpful! Thank you

Wonderful & Helpful !!. I’ve used this app for many years and it helps me in many ways. I can plan my day, give useful information to my doctor and know how to take care of myself.

Stressful on-boarding due to subscription promo, iPad app is really an iPhone app. During the initial setup, the app offered a 24-hour limited promo for a cheaper subscription. Those suffering from headaches and migraines don’t need another source of stress! It’s like the marketing folks forgot to check in with the medical folks. As well, while the app says it works on iPads, in practice the app is not usable. While I would normally use it on my phone, I was hoping to do some setup and put in some prior recorded headaches in. However, on my iPad Air the text is too small and the app doesn’t resize in Stage Manager. I’m trying a competitor instead.

Great resource!. Thanks to Jenny who always helps sort out my app issues.

Worth the 90 bucks (premium). This makes it so easy to keep track of symptoms and possible triggers. When I’m in the depth of a migraine, the last thing i want to do is get a piece of paper and try to write my theories. This app makes it really simple. Already onto my second year with the app- no complains.

Recommend for all migraine sufferers. This app was recommended to me by a colleague who also has recurrent migraines and I am so grateful! It has helped me to identify triggers and early symptoms better and as a result I’ve been more successful in treating my migraines earlier, which has meant shorter and less intense attacks.

Awesome!. I think I’ve learned more in the past few weeks than in the past 17 years! I know what I’m suffering with at last.

Recommended by my doctor. I downloaded it and have used it for the last 3 attacks so far. I have learned so much about potential triggers and about the auras. It has widened my understanding of my migraine within a short period of time.

Life saving. This app LITERALLY changed my life! I was dealing with severe migraine since I was 17 and never could find a way to properly manage it. After I found this app and started documenting my migraines (the app has lots of question which really helps you identify your triggers, ways that help you, meds, type of headaches, and lots of support from other people) with the help of the report feature on the app I finally found a way to manage them and find my triggers! THANK YOU

Amazing App. Has everything you need and more!! User friendly. A must have for all Migraine Sufferers.

Best app!. I suffer from migraines and this app helps me track everything from triggers to pain level to medication… it’s amazing!

Portrait only view….I need Landscape!. This app is excellent for tracking migraines. The only complaint I have is that after recent update, it can no longer be viewed in landscape, which is a necessity when using a tablet.

Bad timng? Or bad tracking?. Received notification today that your period tracker is now free. The timing is suspect (you should look at social media, but I suspect you already know why). I have deleted the app.

Great App!. This app has been very helpful in tracking my migraine attacks and figuring out what the different triggers could be.

Monthly Subscription Required. The fact that a monthly subscription FEE is REQUIRED is not made known until AFTER they get your email address and pw for login. Sick of apps with this tactic.

Can not sign in!! 😣. Not too helpful when you’re migraining and can’t even sign in. I had an account before, used my proper Apple ID to attempt to get in, and NO option for password reset with email address. Very disappointing. Went back to the Canadian Tracker hoping it’s a little more intuitive (and it’s FREE!). Many with disabling migraines can’t really afford to pay such exorbitant prices for a health related app. 🤕

Used to love the app but currently unable to login and unable to create a new account. Used to love the app but currently unable to login and unable to create a new account

Didn’t know how much I needed this app!. I live in Saskatchewan and during our long winters I would be migraine free for weeks at a time and then have migraines seemingly out of nowhere. This app helped me realize it’s the change in weather/pressures that are almost always at the root of my migraines. When we have chinooks (bouts of drastically warmer temperatures in the winter) I was getting migraines before the temp warmed up and then when it would start to get cold again. These changes were subtler then they sound, it would still be cold outside for example but because the barometric pressure was changing days prior to the warmer weather coming it wasn’t easy for me to track it. I now realize that sudden dips or increases in pressure cause my migraines thanks to this app. This app is super easy to navigate and makes it simple to track symptoms, potential triggers etc allowing you to see the big picture behind your migraines. Thank you for this app!!

Outstanding app. I started using this when i had post concussion syndrome and this was THE most valuable resource, it helped me communicate with my concussion specialist when the details were to hard to remember. I would also forget what to do to get relief during an attack as they were severe. It has come a long way since December 2016, and seems pretty perfect to me! Thank you for this tool Jenny!

Outil très intéressant. L’application me permet de garder en mémoire les différents événements de migraine. Très détaillée, elle m’aide à faire mes suivi médicaux.

Disappointed. I’m extremely upset the all my records of migraines have been deleted and I have recorded for years and I have to restart all over again

Used to be good, but crashes constantly now. Formerly liked this app, but in the last 6 months I’ve been unable to use it more often than not. App crashes constantly when using it, then won’t load after it crashes. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting phone, force quitting app and it doesn’t resolve the issue.

Happy (for the most part). Great app, helpful tool ! Wish it was a bit more customizable and of course the most helpful app features are only usable with a paid monthly subscription 😞

You need this!. I’ve had migraines for decades and I often tried to keep a diary…on paper, on my google calendar…but I was never able to be consistent, and often I’d just write, “migraine”. This is so easy to use and having a list of icons for tracking where the pain is, and potential triggers is extremely helpful. There’s also a blog-like section with new information almost every day, which is really informative. Now I’m actually seeing that I have way more migraines that I thought (it’s much more debilitating than I realized) and I’m starting to see a picture of what my potential triggers are.

Used to be a cool app to track migraines. Not any more. Takes forever to enter a new episode.

David. Just switched to this app and I really like the flexibility and detail available.

Good but. I like the app but I find it difficult to clear the notifications because they are tucked in all “corners” of the app. I like to clear notifications quickly and easily. This makes me like the app less.

Okay. Expensive. It’s seems to be an okay app. Really frustrating that you have to create an account before being told it costs money to use it.

Great app!. This app is amazing for tracking migraines. I live in Calgary and i am a victime of migraines every time we have a chinook. My suggestions to make this app better would be to modernize the aesthetics. It would also be great if this app could log my migraines in other apps such as the Apple Health app as well as the app Flo. There is a great potential for Migraine Buddy to develop a better product for the end customer with by making the mentionned changes. Thank you!

If You Have Migraines, Please Try This. I am so thankful for this app. It has opened my eyes to so many symptoms that I was experiencing but that I had no idea were related to my migraines. I am now 41 but started getting migraines when I turned 20. Both my mother and father (as well as other close relatives) experience migraines and so I am no stranger to the pain, strangeness and frustration that is being a migraineur. That being said, I still learned (and continue to learn) a great deal from Migraine Buddy. Even if you stick with the free version this app will give you a community of support, heaps of knowledge and advice as well as a superb way to keep track of your migraines. I honestly feel better prepared, both physically & psychologically, since downloading Migraine Buddy. I cannot say enough good things about this app.

So helpful. Very user friendly, helpful and important to help track headaches and migraines.

THANK YOU!!!!. What an incredible resource. I live in Calgary and suffer more frequently when we have Chinooks and this helped me confirm my hunch that increases in pressure more than decreases It also taught me that sinus pressure is a warning sign for me that I had no idea about! Now if my sinuses are getting stuffy even without migraine symptoms I do a saline nasal rinse and take my steroidal nasa spray to help reduce the severity of some and possibly stop others (can’t ever be entirely sure you didn’t get one 😉) Yes, it does take time to develop your data to generate reports but sooooo worth it Thank you so much to the developers and people who help keep this app running ❤️

I LOVE this app. This app is SO helpful for keeping track of my migraines and for my neurologist. There are also great articles and information networks. This app makes logging migraines easy!

Game changer. This app is a migraine recording game changer. It makes it so much easier to quickly answer questions while having an attack or after the fact. I’ve learned so much about my triggers. Having the ability to look at the pressure and humidity changes in real time has been the most helpful part of the app for me personally.

Great resource in paid premium version. I’ve been using the free version tracker for 6 years, and just upgraded to paid premium version to gain access to more resources. I have daily cluster headaches triggered by food and weather. I found the Good Days food program to be very effective, and helping me reduce my type of headaches. The premium membership is expensive, but for me the extra resources on food triggers was worth it.

Popup Advertising. Interesting how my previous review got deleted when I spoke up about the commercialization of your app. One of your recent updates (between Feb to Mar 2024) introduced popup ads which never previously existed in this once-wonderful app. Exactly what I don’t need when I have a migraine and want to log my headache in the app — a popup ad for Ubrelvy. I won’t use your app anymore because of the way you’ve commercialized it. Please don’t delete my review this time.

Even basic tells you so much. This is great to keep track of my migraines. I just wish it had more options in the menstraul area for women. I’ve had a partial hysterectomy and don’t get periods, plus getting closer to menopause.

Fabulous app. I’m so happy to find this app, along with the developers, who impart so much knowledge. I’ve learned a lot, even though I was well informed beforehand. The ability to track my attacks is so useful. Also, the forecasting of the barometric pressure is extremely useful during the spring and autumn when the weather is turbulent here, on the southwest coast of Canada. (AKA the Pacific Northwest to US residents.) I highly recommend subscribing. After 60 years of migraines, I still have much to learn and this app is excellent.

A great tracker!. I’ve been suffering with migraines for 4 years now, and my doctor only provided drugs to “help” and no reasons as to why I was getting the migraines in the first place. This app helps me track when, where and why I’m getting my migraines and offers solutions to help prevent, and soothe them as well! I recommend this app to everyone!

Wonderful App. Very helpful for tracking my migraine attacks and the specifics that go along with them. Highly recommend to anyone with migraine or headache disease.

Amazing!!. Such a great resource for tracking migraine attack, figuring out triggers, and getting to know what relief methods work best for you. I also love that it tracks the pressures in your area, which is a really good predictor for potential migraines!

Très facile à utiliser. Application très conviviale. Merci

Surprised this is a free app...but very grateful!. I am usually the person that continually presses “no” when an app asks if you’ll rate it. But this app includes sooooo much for being free. I love all of the different factors that it takes into account and also allows you to add your own symptoms and possible triggers. The reports are amazing- it basically gives you statistics on your top triggers, average headache duration, average sleep before a headache and on non-headache days, etc. The amount of information it allows you to track and then gives you feedback on is astonishing. It’s easy to use and extremely helpful for someone who has no idea why they’re getting headaches (like me). Thank you so much for this app and for not making me pay!!!!!!!

Excellent Resource for Migraine Sufferers. Over the 40 years I have had migraines, I have tried several tracking methods which made analysis hard for me and my neurologists. This App keeps all the data in one handy place. It allows for many, many personal modifications I can use to customize the screen to my needs and this makes tracking very easy. The output reports are awesome. In the first month of using the App I learned two things I did not realize about my episodes! The Chat groups are very informative and supportive. I like responding to the survey that help future App development and possibly science. The customer service contact has never taken more than twenty four hours to respond. I am finally managing my migraine data!

Flexible for recording headaches and migraines. This App is very flexible by allowing you to select your own triggers and it places that icon on for your future use. I added Nitrites and MSG and it looks like others have too since it was on a list to select from. Sometimes this is hidden in foods if you go out to eat and I list it as suspected. You can also put in a note. If my note for an attack says I ate at xyz and this shows up over and over, then that’s a big clue to go somewhere else. I’m always having restaurants break down ingredients if I end up with that kind of migraine, it’s a really specific type. I try to choose wisely, though! Great app and grateful for it.

Best app for migraine sufferer!!!. I’m taking the time to praise this app for giving me so much information about my migraines! Before this app I only tracked on a calendar and I had no idea that there were so many triggers and other types of medicines etc. This app is set up so user-friendly! Also, it helped me track the fact that my migraines were related to my hormones. I don’t think I ever would have figured that out without it. I also now know a few triggers and I was able to even add my own remedies and medication’s on there as well. It’s very personalized and I have recommended it to everyone I know suffering from migraines.

Extremely helpful. I had had optical migraines in the past and have started having almost daily headaches for the last several months. I wanted to track the symptoms to see if there are triggers and patterns before heading to the doctor. This is why I downloaded the app. There are numerous features I really like, such as customizing the activities. It was very easy to add computer use. Recommend adding use of computer electronic devices as standard feature. Having the type of headaches ie, cluster, tension, etc defined in the app would be nice. I like the reminders. I have found that once I feel better I tend to forget to record when it ended. Overall, I highly recommend this app.

Gold standard. I've been asked for years by my doctors to keep a diary and each time I've tried , I've failed. I've downloaded calendars, kept lists on my phone and each time I've stoped within a week because it was too onerous. This app has not only been easy to use and comprehensive, it's been fun and almost addictive:-) I am now aware of my sleep time (always going to bed too late!) and of triggers that I thought might be a problem but are now confirmed. Also combinations of triggers that make a big difference. Migraine Buddy puts it all into perspective and has helped tremendously for me and my doctor to understand my headaches better. Thank you!!!

Phenomenal•So Helpful!. Amazing app! I’ve been getting migraines for 40 years and working with a headache clinic for 20. This app has simplified recording all the info they ask for and need, let alone all the new things I have learned since using this app!! I’m more knowledgeable than I’ve ever been about auras, triggers and pre/postdromes than I ever thought possible. Humidity and pressure is a HUGE part of my H. aches! All my meds, even my homeopathic meds are registered. ‘She’(next I’ll name her, lol) even tracks my SLEEP! The dark screen- awesome during my blackout times, I just can’t rave enough. Being able to go back in and change or update an entry? Great feature!! Because let’s face it, my IQ is about 32 during one of my a—kicking migraines... thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Helpful app for those who suffer from migraines. This app has some great features. not only can you track migraines, you can customize symptoms, triggers and treatments as well as add notes and see environmental factors that may have contributed to the migraine. There is also a sleep tracking feature which can be helpful in locating migraine triggers. I like that there are a little informational articles added most days but it’s not an overwhelming amount of text like some other apps provide. I had just started treatment with a new migraine preventative the day I downloaded this app and it’s really giving me a great sense of how helpful my preventative has been. Highly recommend giving this app a try if you live with migraines.

Chronic migraines. I’ve been diagnosed with chronic migraines with aura since 12. While I’m used to having to track them on my own, this app has so many factors I wouldn’t have thought to record. Barometric pressure and weather patterns being the main one. Every screen is customizable, so if you wanted to add excessive sweating as a symptom or part of your aura you can. I haven’t been using it long enough to see if it’s helping me with trying out new medication, but you can customize that too! I have for cbd oil. Having migraines chronically, meaning 15+ days a month, it’s hard for me to notice even a small difference, yet this tracker is helping me isolate triggers already. Like caffeine no longer being a trigger when I cut back on it.

Enjoying the app. Very useful!. Thank you so much for making this application. I’m enjoying being able to track my triggers and see where the majority of my migraines are hurting. Also, that I am hurting the same way every time. It’s extremely helpful to see what works and what doesn’t through my own trial and error, but even more so to see what others are using to alleviate theirs. I would have given 5 stars but the app’s front page console needs an overhaul. There needs to be a way to see progress or lack thereof, stats for the user, not just a report for the doctor (which is also applaudable, btw). Put it this way, I want to see that report the dr sees in an interactive view upon opening my app.

Amazing app. This app is truly amazing. I get really bad migraines (twice a month) that last up to 4 days. I am a new a user and still learning all the features of this wonderful app and I truly love it.. I’ve been trying to see if there are any consistencies and/or triggers that set my migraines off. The one thing I would like to ask the developer is - is there a way to print out all the migraines that are logged. My neurologist would like to take the time to go over all my notes that I make because there isn’t enough time during my apt to do so and while my migraines occur they tend to vary in intensity among other things. Anyway thanks for making an amazing app.

Amazing!!!. This has genuinely become my favourite health app and it’s becoming one of my favourite apps in general. It Has literally anything I could need and then some. Super easy to track for a Doctor! Gives you all the information in nice charts. It takes a lot of data and puts it into really pretty and easy to read charts and helps find solutions and triggers. It’s so easy to use and figure out, it’s literally the perfect app for tracking migraines and headaches. There are also so many other cool things. There are group chats that I’ve found myself enjoying. It has little trivia questions. It tracks sleep. The app has so much and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Thank you!. Migraine Buddy has completely changed my relationship with my migraines. This app allows me to track my headaches, symptoms, remedies and even my sleep schedule. I am able to record and compare each migraine experience. I have recognized patterns which means that sometimes I am able to "get in there" before things worsen. Something truly wonderful too are the daily quizzes and articles as well as other users' comments. Not only have I learned new jargon and facts about migraines, but I feel like I'm part of a migraine community. Education is key with any chronic condition and I highly recommend this app for anyone who suffers from chronic headaches. Thank you, Jenny and team!

Easy to use. I have tried other apps and been frustrated with them to the point of quitting keeping records. I’m thrilled to have an app that gives not only lists but also large images for when my brain is hurting so badly I can’t concentrate or think in words. I can record just a few things like pain level and the symptoms, then go back later when I’m feeling well enough to add details like possible triggers, meds and complementary treatments used, notes, and more. The app has also been a tool to remind me of things I could try to help relieve my symptoms. This will be an invaluable tool in discussing my condition with doctors. I can even email reports. The detail in this app is marvelous. Thank you for providing a tool that real people can use!

Like a Migraine Detective!. Previous to using Migraine Buddy, I always thought that I just got "sinus headaches" - very painful, sometimes. The doctors told me my sinuses were just fine. What was the cause? It was suggested that I might have migraines, so I downloaded this app. After using it for several months, I now realize I have sensitivity to weather changes! I've lived years not knowing what I was going through. It doesn't stop weather related episodes, but I now know why it's happening and how long I can expect it to last - just check the weather, and see when that weather front is going to clear out. Eureka! This has helped tremendously in my attitude toward my "sinus headaches". I'm betting I might even be a nicer person to live with now. 😉 Thanks Migraine Buddy!

Helped manage my migraines. This is an amazing app for anyone that has frequent migraines or headaches. Over the last year I was able to find my triggers and work with my doctor to find treatment. I love the puns, chat rooms and surveys, it makes me feel like they really understand chronic migraines. There are so many useful tools and they just keep making it better!! Only one complaint-No notifications (and i cant believe im complaining about this cuz i hate notifications lol) Although you can set up reminders for pressure change, the app its self cant send notifications... Once they get notifications going again it would be perfect! Thanks for creating this app and helping me with my migraines! 💕

I never write reviews. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. My neurologist recommended I download this app, so of course I did. Honestly, with low expectations because there have been apps that my other doctors have recommended that just weren’t “it”. But this app is incredible. I am able to just worry about my attacks and recording them properly either when they start if I can bare to look at my phone or I can record it afterwards. It’s great. I can then send my reports directly to my doctor so he has access. I always forget to mention something when I go to any doctor for any reason and by sending these reports it eliminates the stress of remembering every detail!

Accessibility it’s been broken. I have used this app for several years, and it has been really good up until the last two updates. They mentioned they broke the calendar in one of those two last updates which the second update was supposed to fix, but they completely disregarded those of us who are blind and use voiceover, which is the screen reader on the iPhone, I sent them an email yesterday, and the response I got back, clearly showed me that they don’t care. It needs to go back to the way it was where it was fully accessible where I could tap on the date and time and change them easily. What day did is made that nearly impossible if you are blind to do this, which completely contradicts what they say which the update was supposed to make it easier. I am now looking for a new migraine app sense accessibility is clearly not something they care about.

Migraine Buddy App Review. This app is amazing. It helped me so much. I suffer from severe migraines on a daily basis and this app helps me track them, track triggers, possible treatments to my own headaches(different for everyone), and many many other great features. This app is also great to share with your doctors. This way they can see what you’re feeling. If you’re someone who is constantly on your phone and you don’t feel like writing down every single detail then this app is for you. That way you can just track it on here. You’ll be on your phone anyways so no harm no foul right? Everyone who suffers from migraines or even occasional headaches should use this app.

The best headache app possible. Not just the best, but pretty much perfect. I have tested every relevant app available, and nothing else even comes close. This is the email I sent the developer: “I just wanted to tell you that your app is amazing. Showing me symptoms I have that I never connected to migraine, tracking so well, being so easy to use, I am in a medication haze so can’t remember what else was on my list ... anyway, I will be shouting it from the Instagram rooftops. Thank you thank you thank you.” And I do remember the other thing: it gives you a little message after you track, such as “hope you feel better soon!” And this morning’s was perfect: “you are not alone.” :wibble:

Image of Purple Person at Start Page. Overall; I rate this app five stars. Perhaps my “criticism,“ it’s because I’m dealing with a migraine now, why I am writing this review. I wish they would make a version of this for military personnel, serving or have served previously, and that it replaced the awkward image of the “person“ at the, top of the page. I submit that on the scale of importance, this comment is really meaningless to people using the app, and the app, being a great means of documenting retrain headaches/migraines. I would love it if they were change the image to something more so reflective of a military soldier who probably are a great majority of users are prior service members. Thank you.

Incredible App. I have been suffering from migraines for about 6 months before finally mentioning it to a doctor and being referred to a neurologist. I knew I needed to track them in some way, and so I found migraine buddy. This is the first app I tried, and it is the only one I will use. The amount of information you can log without being pressured to purchase the premium version is amazing! My neurologist thanked me for keeping such a detailed log, and it takes not even 2 minutes once an attack has begun. The sleep tracking is also extremely accurate and useful. If you are deciding on an app to log your migraines and track your triggers, this is the app for you.

Helpful, but not for sleep tracking. i have used migraine buddy pretty frequently since i downloaded it, and i have found that my migraine patterns are closely related to my sleep patterns. unfortunately migraine buddy’s sleep tracking feature is not very accurate. it seems to track mostly based on when and how my phone is moving, which is unhelpful because i consistently don’t have my phone with me and migraine buddy will just assume i’m sleeping during that time. i wish there was an option to import information from my other sleep tracking app that is much more accurate. other than my problems with this feature, i have found migraine buddy very helpful, and it has already helped me look out for patterns in my attacks.

Poorly constructed & considered. This app looks very polished; however, the content is poor. In one section, options to describe the pain include pounding, pulsating, and throbbing - how do those differ? In another section, users are asked if the headache is tension, cluster, or migraine - how’s a user supposed to know? No guidance or information is given on how these categories are different. ...but there are plenty of ads and spam emails for their premium version. That version includes menstruation tracking; perhaps they consider menstruation a “premium service” so women have to pay extra to track it along with their headaches. When I gave feedback on these issues, I received a very polished brush-off to talk about it with my doctor. My doctor has nothing to do with the app, its development, or its improvement. Basically, it’s a flashy hammer: sure it’s shiny, but it’s a blunt instrument that pounds you with spam and pressures you to upgrade.

New Feature?!?!?!. Migraine Buddy has helped me greatly with my journey in the migraine world. I’m 19 and have been suffering from migraines for 2-3 years now! Migraine Buddy helps me figure out what’s caused it and helps me explain to doctors how things are. However, I would like to suggest something, as I’m sitting here with a migraine this very minute haha! When you are logging a migraine, and it comes to the “what have you tried for relief” or something like that, I think once a person has been using Migraine Buddy for a while and have enough entries, (I’ve been using it for a year in December), that Migraine Buddy, in that section, should suggest relief methods to try. Now, I know that sounds weird and like it’s unnecessary, but a lot of times we (migraine sufferers) are in a lot of pain during said migraine. We, at least I do, forget what can help me in the moment because I’m just in that much pain. I forget what has worked in the past! And Migraine Buddy should remind us, maybe with the percentage of times it’s helped us in the past, with what we’ve used and worked for relief! Anywho!!! I highly suggest this app!!!!!

Wonderful, extremely helpful app!!. This app is amazing, it allows me to communicate with my health team in a way I could never do before and we are hoping it will seriously change my health and lessen migraine days. My family doctor loves the reports I can print out for him but I do wish there was a way to encrypt them so they could be emailed and I didn’t feel as if I was killing an entire tree every time I print my reports. The chat groups are super cool and a great tool too, people at different stages in their treatment can come together and bounce ideas off one another for treatment, discuss how others are doing in various weather conditions regarding migraines and just generally not feel so alone. Just get the app and see for yourself!!!

Great help - suggestions, but still worth 5 stars. Wonderful app! Easy to use, push notifications not annoying, UI simple and clear, colors soothing. Information well organized and easy to personalize. I wish that either (a) the period tracking was not a part of the paid plan or that (b) I could integrate this with Apple Health where I track my period and other health events (inhaler usage, etc) and that the sleep tracking the app does so well could be integrated with that app, but even without that one improvement, this app is still the best out there. I have a ton of friends in the chronic illness community who use this and when my migraines suddenly became severe, I knew just which app to get. Glad I did!

Neuro suggestion paid off!. My Neurologist suggested this in passing and told me in my next appointment that he didn’t think I would actually use it. He was surprised to get my report in his email and said it helped him decide on my next course of action. While he didn’t need all the details this app provides, it does help ME to understand my migraines. I wasn’t planning on keeping it after the initial report but I do now. The suggestions are awesome, things I wouldn’t have considered!! The articles are interesting and I like the migraine-appropriate color scheme and easy-to-read fonts. I’ve had migraines for over a decade and thought I knew everything… thank you for helping to educate me and my doc!!

Why did I wait so long?!. This app is genius and makes tracking SO EASY!!! I have been dealing with Trigeminal Neuralgia and peripheral neuropathy attacks for a couple years now. I felt so helpless because I didn’t know how to avoid the attacks & I needed to start a pain journal, but the task was overwhelming. Did I have to write down everything I eat?! My menstrual cycle, my mood, my activities AND the weather?! Who has time for that?! And nobody should be journaling & thinking about pain when the attacks are over!!! The genius of this app is they think of everything for you AND you can just add anything else you need to add! Just click on little icons that represent your specific triggers during that attack! Then, get on with your life!

Love it!. I’ve only just started, but this app finally has everything I need. I get tension headaches just as often as migraines and I love being able to track where the headache is. I’m sure it’s just me, but I wish my husband could also log on and add things. Typically he’s an eagle eye at noticing when my headaches start and end. This isn’t something I pay attention to, but will try to start now Update: now that I’ve used this app for about a month, I find myself being more aware of headaches and where they’re at. I like that I can fill some information in now and the. Update later. The time stamp feature with the notes is my favorite.

Great app!. I’ve been using the app for many years and have found it very useful for keeping track of my migraines as well as getting support from others who suffer from them. It’s helped build my knowledge of different kinds of migraines and headaches as well as finding different ways of helping myself and others. I’ve used it during appointments so I don’t have to tell the person everything, I just bring up the app and hand it to them. Neurologists don’t generally want to do that though. My only issue is that the app does have a tendency to crash while I’m entering information at times. I’ve followed instructions to help but it doesn’t seem to work.

Helpful app. I find this app very helpful for trying to identify triggers, recognize patterns, and record information for your doctors. It would get a 5 star rating if it took care of two things. One, better sleep tracking. It needs to be able to sync up with watch data. Since it doesn’t, it’s just easier to turn off auto detect and manually input the data from my watch app. Two, a way to track preventative meds. Right now you just make a note basically. It needs a way to just check a box that you’ve taken your meds for the day so that it’s on your reports. Fix those two things and it would be a 5 star app for me.

Pros and Cons. I have mixed feelings lately about MigraineBuddy, which I have been using for several years. Pros: I appreciate the tools (eg calendar reports), ease of use, and flexibility for tracking migraines. Cons: To echo another recent review, the app is starting to border on bloatware / begware with the constant notifications. Another concern is the increasing shilling for companies, such as a recent email I received for a particular treatment that was a glorified press release and dodged the lack of a double-blind clinical study to assure effectiveness. It’s also not easy to send feedback; I tried to do so via the email link in their email and it bounced back with an error message. All in all, a good tool but some concerns about it getting too big and too commercialized.

New version is terrible. I used to love this app but now all the useful features are behind a paywall, including the ability to export records for my doctor, which was the main feature I was interested in. I might be more understanding (because I know developers have to make money) except that one of the features put behind a paywall is the menstruation tracker which is ridiculous given than many migraine diagnoses are tied to hormonal cycles. This feels extremely sexist (because it disproportionately affects people who menstruate) and akin to the luxury tax on tampons. I am insulted and disappointed. PS: I see the developer trying to justify this in previous reviews, but there are plenty of free period tracker apps. Being able to enter a specific date of a menstrual cycle in an app that ALREADY HAS A CALENDAR is not a “premium feature” or a luxury, it is a very simple feature. Any feature that asks one group of people to pay more than another is sexist, period. (No pun intended.)

Super migraine record. I have had migraines for a very long time. For a while, they were so frequent, I barely had a day without them. Using this app to keep track of possible triggers, I have been able to reduce my migraine frequency to perhaps one every 2 weeks. Huge improvement for me! Also, a bit easier to recognize insidious onset and begin treatment early. As a doctor, I try to manage medical conditions with as few medications as possible. Lifestyle interventions, while cumbersome, have fewer interactions and adverse effects. I still need some medication to manage my migraines, but with the help of this app, I’ve been able to minimize them. Many thanks to the developers of this app.

Best and easiest app for Migraine tracking. I’ve been using this app for a few years to track migraines since other health apps and devices do not have an integrated option. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and continues to make upgrades based on user suggestions. Most user friendly and improvements based on data and user driven info. Each visit to my doctor, I can export or print my data and info to share and direct my care and medication choices. Thank you for helping me feel better and understand what drives my migraines so I can actively make choices in my care and live with less migraines.

A must-have app for headache sufferers. This app is (obviously) great for tracking every detail of a migraine. It creates fantastic reports, and has been absolutely key in helping me figure out my triggers and recognizing which headaches are “just” headaches, and which are going to blow up. But! It’s also great for tracking all kinds of headaches. The data I’m gathering for sinus headaches will be instrumental in deciding if I want to have sinus surgery or not. I can make notes about the state of my allergies for the day, and it tracks the weather, which makes for great cross-referencing. I just really can’t say enough good things. I’m a new migraine-haver, so having all of the questions and categories right there at my fingertips has been so helpful. Five enthusiastic and grateful stars.

Excellent tracking for Migraines. This app is awesome for tracking your migraines. It helps keep all of your data in one place and you can also have it work w your health or sleep apps to monitor your sleep. It really is wonderful. The only reason for 5 stars is that the weather portion doesn’t notify me automatically about pressure drops like my settings tell it to. So I’m not sure why that isn’t working properly and should be improved. There are a ton of us that get migraines due to weather (barometric pressure) fluctuations- especially in Michigan. It would be nice to get a notification at the beginning of the day or day before so we can get in front of the pain. Please fix the pressure and weather notification so that it works! Thank you!

Have to pay Premium for pressure forecast now.. This was a pretty good app. It is A Lot, to do, especially when you have a Migraine. One of my most favorite features was, the pressure forecast. It was only for 48 hours, but it showed you hour by hour, up or down. But, with their most recent update, you can’t get the pressure forecast unless you pay for the Premium version. And you can do the 7 day free trial, which I did, but they changed the pressure forecast completely. It is 7 day instead of 48 hours. However it is not hour by hour, it just shows color coded circles for each day, red for high, yellow for moderate and green for good. If it weren’t for that change I would give it 5 stars. But, my Migraines are significantly impacted by pressure. And this is just a horrible change.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I’ve struggled with migraines all my life, throughout my childhood I would vomit about once a month and we never knew why. Thanks to Migraine Buddy I now know that this is how Migraines commonly present themselves in children. My Sophomore year of high school is when they got really bad. I had migraine headaches and many other symptoms almost every day; some days it was so bad I wouldn’t go to school for multiple days in a row. I’m now a Junior in college and I’ve been seeing my Neurologist for almost a year in a half. After my first consultation with my Neurologist I downloaded Migraine Buddy. Migraine Buddy has taught me so much about my migraines and managing them.

Can’t figure out why you get headaches? USE THIS APP!. I went to the doctors almost 6 months ago complaining about constant headaches but instead of helping me, they told me to use a headache journal (they handed me a very bad paper one) and because of the fact this headache general was so bad, it was so difficult for me to use. At that point, I accepted that constant unexplainable headaches was an issue I was going to have for the rest of my life, but 2 weeks ago I found this app. It’s simple enough for anybody to use, but it has so many features and straightforward explanations that I know exactly what to log, when to log it, and it makes my headaches so easy to understand! It allows you to log where you feel the pain, and before I wasn’t able to explain where it was. Now the next time I go to the doctors, I’ll be able to show them all the info they’d ever need! It’s so easy to log every single bit of information you need, that you HAVE to use it if you struggle with headaches like me!

Good for targeting migraine triggers. I have been using this app for nearly a year now. It’s helped me find triggers and keep track of how my migraines differ. I think my favorite part is just realizing how many I actually have and having a kind of journal to use later for the doctor. One thing I do not like about the app is it’s insights tab notifications. It constantly notifies my phone about new tips to helping with my migraines. I don’t mind the tab itself being available in the app but I hate the notifications. If I turn notifications off for the app then I lose the notifications that help remind me to confirm my sleep patterns or complete a migraine report. There needs to be separate options for what notifications I want to receive.

Very helpful if you are dedicated to it!. This is a great app for migraine sufferers. It tracks all kinds of important things that you input data about. It can track when you fell asleep to when you wake up, you can input certain food choices and it helps track whether or not that food is a migraine trigger, information about migraine and surveys that are optional to fill out, and It’s got several chatrooms. It also has a very thorough system of questions for when you record an attack. Exact times, your location, triggers like light/sound/auras/ jaw pain and it even shows you the weather and the humidity during that hour. It’s a great app for tracking migraines!

Helpful window into our world or Migraines!!. This app has evolved so much over the past few years. The ability to chart and log each migraine has become very intuitive and easy to fill out when you’re hit with a migraine....even providing a darkened screen for those of us who are sensitive to the light! I’ve gained tremendous insight into my own migraine extravaganza and am comforted by the fact that I’m not alone in this! The reporting capabilities have improved a ton and I love how the app is so customizable giving you the ability to add or remove different symptoms, medications, coping mechanisms, etc. I recommend this gem of an app to all of my friends and family who also suffer from Migraines....it’s incredibly helpful and useful!!! Thank you so much!

Best out there. I love this app, and I love its development team! I have had chronic migraines for over a decade, and migraine buddy is the best app I’ve used for tracking and recordings my migraines. I finally have a good way of knowing whether a new medication is helping or not because I can see changes in my migraine patterns from month-to-month. It’s also so easy to pull up my data during doctor’s appointments. I’ve been using the app since 2021, and it’s only gotten better since then. The developers are always updating the app, and they seem to actually apply user feedback to the updates. I truly have nothing but positive things to say.

I never write reviews.. This app has been so extremely helpful in my journey to understand my migraines better. It has given me the ability to track every possible symptom, note the location of the pain, track my pain levels, and more. (It’s given me so much ability I can’t even remember it all) By far my favorite features are the medication related ones, in which you get to see how the medication you take affects both you and the other people who take it, as well as the feature in which you share your records with your doctor. By giving those of us the ability to monitor these symptoms, Migraine Buddy has given us hope for relief.

Great free functions. I’ve used this for almost a year and it’s very useful for keeping track of how many migraine attacks I have. I tend to forget them after they happen because of brain fog so it’s really useful to have it recorded, and also so I know when I take meds and whether they’ve helped 2 hours later. The statistics are all really nice but the midas score I especially use because it’s 1 number but tells how I’ve been doing. I’ve never tried it paid because you can use other apps for barometric pressure or period tracking but it could be nice to have it all integrated. Definitely worth it for free.

Nothing but great things to say👌🏼. I’ve been looking for a good way to track my migraines for years now. I’ve been using this app for roughly 8-10 months or so, and at first I really didn’t use it much because I’d finally found a good doctor and started getting medicated for them again, so they weren’t as severe or frequent. In early 2021 they started coming back daily and more painfully than I’d experienced in several years so this app has saved my life with tracking my migraines and headaches for my doctor to help see if there are any trends and for other info. It’s amazing and so thorough in documenting your attacks. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very helpful tracker. I’ve had the app for a few years but only recently experienced a spike in migraines. This helps to track a lot of details. I would like to suggest the ability (as an option) to select the time or add the time that I took certain medications. I know I can add it in the notes, but it would be good to also add when selecting the medication. Today is Thursday and I’ve had a migraine since Sunday. So it looks like I’ve taken four sumatriptan pills at once. Anyway, with it without this, I will continue to use this and send reports to my doctor. She also finds them extremely helpful. Thank you Jenny and team for the improvements over the years!!

Plenty of features but can be hard to remember. When I’m having a migraine I try not to use my phone, so I can only record after the fact. That means that sometimes I can’t recall some of the details. If I don’t record the day of, I am likely to forget altogether. Some of the options like type of pain are quite similar to each other and I don’t know which to choose. Prodrome and postdrome are also confusing and I can’t tell a prodrome from an aura. The location tracker locates my neighborhood but never my actual address. I also wish that the medication list was less cluttered. Sleep functionalities on phones tend to not be accurate for me so I have not used this one. Beside these comments there are a lot of good features in the app, and plenty of options to customize the migraine experience.
