Amazing but lacking. This is app is amazing and works great on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 16. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of one thing. I want to save gifs in different “folders” with unique names so I don’t have to scroll through 150 gifs looking for that specific one I saved a year ago. Basically I want to have multiple lists of “favourites” and “collections”. I would also like to import any photo or screenshot and make a gif out of it. The multiple “folders” is the most important so fix that and I’ll give this app 10 TEN STARS!!! 😊😃

So addictive!. So this app is really fun and useful. First off, I thought it was really hard to make gifs on here but it’s actually super easy to make this. This app also lets you post your gifs privately if you don’t want to have a public account. Another perk to this is you can make your saved gifs on your phone convert to Live Photo’s to become awesome wallpapers. I recommend buying this app and I think you will be very pleased with it.

Poor Service. Today was the first time I ever decided to use this service. I was referencing my favorite film of 2019, The Lighthouse, when I decided to search up an appropriate gif that would compliment the conversation on an Instagram group chat. Like I said, it was my first time using the service, so I had no expectations going in. What I discovered was a horribly unpolished gif of Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson dancing together running at something like 5 frames per second. This was truly atrocious, especially because I’ve seen gifs of this same film on Twitter running at an adequate enough frame rate to get the job done. But Giphy here, they don’t care about their customers satisfaction in the slightest. Very disappointed. Ignore if you can.

I really love this app...usually. I recommend this app to everyone but for some reason it won’t upload any giphy I try to make. it starts off regularly but processing just takes forever, IF it actually does process. not to mention, app support send you straight to the giphy website & I couldn’t even find support. your FAQ didn’t have any answer for my problem, I don’t remember seeing one, but I could be wrong. either way, please fix the problem.

Great variety. I use the gifs more than anything seems that any thing I look for there’s something to use variety for each category granted because I family snd friends we have other unique ways of communicating would be nice to have an adult only option to have access to even for a charged version just a thought thank you for providing access to more detailed better quality of a gif, sticker, or clips

What happened to GIPHY keyboard??. I use GIPHY keyboard almost daily, and it has really gone downhill. Ever since iOS 15, it is a struggle just to get it to load in Messages. Try over and over and over and over and hope it eventually loads. But now something has happened this week where the gifs it sends are much smaller than usual. What is going on here? I double checked and I do not have low-quality images enabled in Messages. Yet using the #images keyboard app, they send just fine. They even say “GIPHY via #images” and the same exact gif is much bigger than when actually using the real GIPHY keyboard extension.

2 things. 1)Idk how often others use the favorite feature, but I use it weekly. I wish there was a way to organize my favorites or tag them, so I can access them quicker instead of scrolling for it until its to irrelevant to send anymore. 2) the search in messages wont allow me to use the magic keyboard, so I either have to smudge up my screen or open the app to use the keyboard Would love to see at least 1 of these addressed

GIPHY. I love the app but I wish we could follow A creator on GIPHY and have a comment section and they were full videos instead of just the GIFs that would just make the app a lot better but then again I could always just delete the app do you know make you lose a lot of money tell my friends to delete the app because they all have it but then again you could answer my requests please and thank you goodbye

Lots of your Birthday Day to sisters 😲. I think you Birthday app when recognizing sisters have become disgusting! Do you have to show so many women in compromising positions and being so sexual just to send a message to a sister?? I had to get away from my young grandchildren that wanted to send a message to her with me in order to locate an appropriate Birthday wish to her. May you should invest in a phonography sight if you need to show so much of that garbage! I will seek other apps if you all don’t get any better than this. Sad example to children today. ☹️😢😞😕😒

Great for Artists. Being a painter of 40 years and living in the times of visual digital art becoming more and more popular. I find this app. always an easy way to express myself on the phone in my hand. I have learned to use photos of my earlier Original paintings as backgrounds then choosing from the many wonderful animated stickers and gifs and moving them anywhere on my original paintings, making them come to life, combining this with other apps,( this App is very friendly to use with other Gif Apps👍) I am able to then add another dimension as of timing …and I am able to create something unique. I love submitting them and sharing them with the world. Giphy is very user friendly and uploading is a snap. I give this app a 10+. A must for artists. Lots of great Gifs to choose from as well Quality Gifs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ joemonroeart

Always crashes. ** update - still crashing/freezing. It’s getting super frustrating when I’m in the actual app bc I have to continually restart it. ** LOVE this app. But with the last few updates he app loads then freezes so I have to restart the entire app. I tried pausing the gifs hoping that would solve the problem and it doesn’t. The person that mentioned how all of the favorites are linked into one list is on point. It’s hard to go find the gifs I’ve favorited bc I have to scroll through hundreds of them AND wait for them to load to see where I am in the list. A way to sort them would be awesome. But the biggest gripe is the fact that it always freezes unless you’re in the iMessage app. 6s+ iOS 11.0.3

FOLDERS PLEASE!!!!. I love the gifs, but it it so hard to find a specific one when looking through my favorites! I end up scrolling forever, it uses a ton of memory, and then most of the time, the gifs don’t load so I can’t even find what I was looking for in the first place. It takes way too long to remove a gif from my favorites, too. Unheart one, and it takes you back to the beginning of your favorites. I’d love to unheart half of my favorites, but that would take forever!! Please make it easier to organize and edit your favorites!!!

GIFS GALORE. This app has been just a delight to find and share GIFs with my friends. I love the features I didn’t know I needed (I’m looking at you GIF to Live Photo). I’m saving GIFs that inspire me and bring me joy. There are just a few features I wish it had that the desktop version has. For example, view count on GIFs. I like tracking my views and seeing what resonates with audiences. Also, a follow feature so I could keep track of my favorite users and be updated when they post new GIFs. Other than that, I love GIPHY, I love the keyboard, and I live for this app.

Can’t upload stickers at all. I have tried everything to fix this problem for a month now including contacting the support email. After over a week of emails the problem still isn’t solved and it doesn’t seem like it will be. Every time I click “use” after I have selected a sticker it just goes know where land. I love the app I’m just feeling frustrated that no one seems to know what’s going on. I’m really sad since I was going to try to get verified as an artist. Update : customer service is crap. after emailing for 2 weeks they can’t tell me how to fix the problem and basically told me to use my computer instead. I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous when I create my gif stickers from my iPad. I have never left an angry review before but this is infuriating. My iPad is brand new and I have not changed anything. It is a problem with the app but no one knows how to fix it apparently.

please make ’faves’ the imessage default page. this app is amazing, the stickers are so fun. but it is insane that the opening page every time i want to use the app is just ... random popular gifs?? i have literally never selected one of these (i go to giphy bc i know what I’m looking for??) and it just makes the search take forever to load, or the keyboard to crash. why make it harder for people to et to what they love about the app?? i have faves saved for a reason, it’s because i use them all the time haha

No Longer Worth The Trouble. This app used to be great, but it’s no longer worth you trouble if you’re intending to use it to post gif reactions or images on message boards. The last update broke the “copy image link” feature. Now, when a link is copied, the entire link is no longer copied to your mobile device’s clipboard. You are now provided with a partial link that lacks the latter portion, including the actual image’s name and file extension. The only thing that you post on a message board when using this app is a big, red X indicating a broken image link. Furthermore, when you compare the partial link that is provided by the app to the link that is provided by the site when visiting it from a laptop or workstation, the links are noticeably different. Save yourself a lot of time, headache and heartache, and choose a different app for your gif needs.

Giphy is fun and easy to use. giphy has great features i like the sticker feature you can add it to your photos and to your videos. the gif maker lets you make little memory videos, less than 14 seconds, on you ipad photo app and then transfer them to giphy and create a gif and add stickers and then upload it to facebook or to your camera roll. if you press favorite on the new gif, you can then see the gif on your giphy app under favorites. making giphies is a good hobby for people who like to create moving scrapbooks and share them wih their friends and family. their giphy website is linked to the giphy app and stores your creations to the giphy app under your account name. all for free but if they ever wented to charge a subscriotion fee , i would be willing to pay $10 a month for my giphy scrapbook hobby. it would be easy and fun to keep enjoying all their giphy features.

converting to Live Photo. the entire point I downloaded this app is because I wanted to be able to convert gifs to Live Photos so I can make them into wallpapers but whenever I try to save gifs as Live Photos it just doesn’t work I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling again and that hasn’t worked either, neither has restarting my phone, I’ve given it all the access needed to do it but every time I try to the little green line will pop up for a second then just disappear and no photo was saved, kinda disappointed ngl but there’s some other features about it that are pretty cool, I hope someone can come up with a solution but for now it’s a solid 3/5

Stickers. I think it’s fantastic that you offer such a tremendous array of stickers. I am looking forward to seeing your new ones this year. You are doing a great job, keep it up!! Will your new ones allow me to text and add to my new keyboards? I have got 4 additional keyboards. One of which is the Big Emo, the others are very similar to the original one that came with my device ( iPhone 8 Plus) I am really looking forward to your new stickers! Thank y’all so much.

Fun! With one cautionary note. No doubt about it – this app is really fun to use and can be relied upon to deliver almost anything you need, no matter how off the beaten path! Here is my cautionary note. I’d like to respectfully ask the developers to consider removing the images that have to do suicide. The current statistics on death by suicide are escalating at an unprecedented rate, and I don’t think we are even at the peak yet. I don’t want to say this publicly but I would privately tell you what terms I used in search that brought up all of these images. Again, a great app, I just wanted to submit a something for your consideration.

3 Cheers for Giphy !. My favorite artist is Anna Havrochec. I may have misspelled her last name. But she animates knitted things and they are so amazing and creative. They make me laugh so much. It cheers me up and all my friends that I share them with. I couldn’t share such wonderful things if it were not for Giphy. I forget how to download them and share sometimes; but, the app just keeps getting better and better along with becoming easier to use!

Best App Ever👌👌👌👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This app is so good and I am only 14 and this is the best app I can show my friends and they would be asking me where did I get this wallpaper I would say from the app on my phone and I would show them and they would say I need to download this so then I can be cool like you and I said yea right but let’s get to the point here this app is so good and that is the thing but it is really good so thank you for making this app!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun but particular about keywords.. This app’s search feature is either too specific or too generic depending on your philosophy. For example, tap on GIPHY in messenger. Type in search keywords “Lady Gaga” and half of the offerings are from Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. If you want only Lady Gaga, type in just “Gaga” as a keyword. If you want a GIPHY of Queen Elizabeth II, be ready for frustration. You will get any queens including drag, you will get any Elizabeth, you will get anything with II, as Rocky II. I tried “Keep Calm and Carry On”. I did not keep Calm nor carry on. I opened Google image search. Saved all the posters I liked, and post photographs. But people love short animation. I blame US television commercials.

An Amazing Resource!. There’s no doubt that memes and GIFs have overrun the internet...and for good reason, they’re hilarious and fun! I love that GIPHY allows users to create artist & brand accounts. However it takes a LONG time to hear back from them after you apply. There’s a high volume or applications or at least that’s what their website says. In any case the app is fun and easy to use. I only wish the gifs could be a little more higher in quality.

Personal Preference. I agree that GIPHY is a fun app to use. It has many fun gifs to choose from and when I don’t find one I like, I can make my own. The only thing that bothers me is that for some reason I can’t change my profile picture. I tried clicking on it, looking for it in the edit drop down, and even tried to look it up on the internet. I’ve been told that sometimes the kind of phone affects apps in some ways. I have an IPhone 5 if that is any help. I would appreciate an explanation for what I’m doing wrong, or if it’s a bug I would like it to be fixed. Thank you for working hard on this app!

So good! But.... Ok so for starters this is one of the best apps I’ve ever downloaded. I love the feature that you can make your own!! This app has close to a gif in any category. My only complaint is that I really wish you could save the gifs you make! If this feature was added, it would be the BEST app ever. Wow, that’s a lot of 1 stars. The first few reviews that pop up smear this app, and after reading developer responses along with other reviews, I am not going to get this app, I do not want an app that a lot of people have plenty of major issues with, and just to list a few repeating ones: Login not working correctly, asking for access to the camera, political stuff, etc. These issues don’t seem to have been addressed properly as almost all of the developer responses say something along the lines of “Sorry for help email us at (support email)” and all of the responses give a robotic feel, and to me it feels like the developers are not listening to the feedback they receive, I’d also love to see a developer respond to this.

Simple search doesn’t work. First: can you disable autocorrect on the search field? It’s always wrong and really not helping. Search fields should not have autocorrect. Second: when a search term is autocorrected incorrectly, then it’s impossible to change it back. Editing the search to something else just keeps showing the same results. At some point it reverts the text in the field to the very first search term. It makes search completely unusable. It’s been like this for months, so finally decided to give the feedback here. Please fix this, it’s unusable unless your first search is correct

Great app, but…... I don’t know what happened, but since switching over to the 13 pro max it doesn’t work well in messages. I live by the group chat. With that being said every time I come up with something witty, and I want to follow it with a gif, or when I want to react to someone’s message I’m having a hard time to do so. I tap on the GIPHY app in my messages and nothing loads. Just a black page. I gotta exit a few times till eventually it loads (doesn’t do it all the time, but enough times to be unhappy to write a review). By that time the group chat has sent 50+ messages and my gif will be irrelevant. Do you know how much of a loser I feel like when I’m being roasted, and I can’t add a gif to whoever I’m about to burn!? Please help me emotionally hurt these suckas in the group chat!!

Knock Out App. I’ve used this app for many years. It has never failed me. It supports the free app market which brings me back to the roots of the mid-1995 explosion of free programs for folks who were just getting into the internet. That was the heart of the true purpose of the global community at the time. The structure of this app and ease of use makes it number one to me in the free and paid market place for similar apps. The programmers expertise in the design is outstanding and the updates are just wonderful that come out from time to time. I want to thank the app designers for this wonderful free product.

Experience issues. I’m reluctant to update after reading so many seemingly valid issues regarding the most recent update as I already had issues (from time to time) with “prior” version.(many times copy-paste leaves gif “flat”/& non animated etc.) So I’ll wait for improved comments on latest update b4 I attempt to update bcuz too often lately updates in general (from all apps) have completely ruined how the app worked & its user-experience awa its tendencies to create glitches to my iOS phone as well the app itself for unknown reasons🤷🏼‍♀️. Therefore I think I’ll wait to “update” until reviews on current update improves resolving all concerns. Sorry—but tyvm.

Loading Issues. By far my favorite app for GIFS, but for some reason there’s LOTS of ISSUES when launching the app in general or in iMessage in order to use it. Had this app for 2 years. Not understanding how every time I update the app, this issue still isn’t resolved. Rather annoying honestly. It’s like you guys aren’t really fixing the issues or “bugs” this app has. As for customer complaints/reviews that I’ve read, I see there are many other people who’ve rated this app below 3 Stars. Well unfortunately, I’m rating you guys a “1 Star” review, and I’m most likely thinking about uninstalling… but it’s not like you guys care about your customers reviews/complaints anyway, so, why not uninstall right? Just ridiculous…

i can’t even make my own gifs anymore... i wanted to make a gif of my friend from this funny video of him but it NEVER shows up every time i try to go through with it no matter what i did (i even turned my phone off, closed out & reopened the app, updated the app, and even got it on my iPad to see if it would do it) but NOTHING! i really used to love this app but now i can’t even make my own gifs anymore. also not only can i NOT see the video i’m trying to turn into a gif, but WHY should i be forced to put a sticker on it before proceeding??! IT’S FUNNY ON ITS OWN! i literally NEVER leave reviews for apps so this is really telling something with how unhappy i am with this app that i USED TO love and be able to USE. PLEASE FIX THIS APP 🗣🗣🗣🗣

Folders Would Make It Perfect. Love Giphy! It’s my favorite way of communicating my emotions.😁 I have so many saved in my favorites and have always thought the only thing that would take this app from “Great” to “Perfection” would be the ability to organize all my favorites into folders so that I could go right to the ones I wanted rather than having to scroll through them all. Thanks for keeping this app going - my world would be a lot sadder without it!😅

Good GIF solution, but animation speed is wrong. I’m on an iPhone X with iOS 13.3. For some time now, I’ve noticed that when using the GIPHY keyboard to send texts (by just tapping the GIF image you want to use, and allowing it to automatically add the image to your text message), the animation-speed of the GIF that gets sent is noticeably slower that what the GIPHY keyboard showed, and the sent GIF usually ends several frames too soon. The only way I’ve found to send GIPHYs that play back at regular speed is to open the GIPHY *app*, and from there, I have the option to save a GIF to my camera roll. THEN I can go to my camera roll and attach THAT saved GIF to a text message. It’s a few extra hoops to jump through, which is why I deducted a couple stars. As far as being able to quickly find appropriate and funny GIFs for my needs, it’s great.

Abysmal Changes. I’ve been (very happily) using the Giphy web service for the last few years to make gifs that I feel are high quality and are fun to post. I felt very positively about Giphy until one day I logged in to continue my pleasant gif-making hobby and - suddenly - the ‘create gif’ button (a + at the top of my page) no longer directs me to where I make my gifs, but instead to an uncloseable screen that tells me to download the app. At first I thought I could click through this - I don’t like downloading a ton of apps, I keep my phone neat and storage relatively low - but when I tried to skip past it and reopen the page I found that I couldn’t. Now this is very frustrating, as I’ve been (and might I add again, very happily) using the web page for awhile - and suddenly the only way to access my ability to make gifs is to download the app? An app I was to find out works completely differently, much worse, and is way too busy? An app that takes up too much space on my phone? An app that I, by all means, do not want to download? I deleted it immediately, I didn’t even make a single gif. One of the worst changes I have ever seen to anything, ever. I want a working and accessible web page - not some ugly redirect to an app that doesn’t work in the way I’ve been using Giphy this entire time. I literally wish I could rate this lower than a one, but I unfortunately can’t. Do not download, it’s not worth your time. There are better.

Maybe it’s your phone!!. Myself not anyone in my family has had any issues with updates for the GIPHY application. I’m going with “user error” or maybe you need to update your IOS or update your old phone. All that time wasted deleting and reinstalling the app. Your “favorite GIPH app”. Then you drop it to a 2 star. Nope you are the 2 this application is a 10.... there is not enough stars. People need to get a check in with reality. THIS IS A FREE FREAKING COOL APP that can be used ANYTIME. Must be vet important like Ron Burgundy

Can't send feedback, can't modify past searches. I was going to submit this as feedback via the GIPHY iOS app > gear menu, but received error "mail services not available" (I am presuming this may be because I was logged in via Facebook app. If so, I was unable to use the app to modify my GIPHY profile to add an email address. Another annoyance). The only feedback I was wanting to submit was that after enabling the GIPHY keyboard in iOS, although the keyboard will display recent search history, you cannot add/change words in the query or else it clears the text and starts a new search. Very frustrating for fixing typos, changing keywords, doing a narrowed down search, etc.

Broken iMessage app. This is for The iMessage app not the actual app. So what did y'all do? This used to be amazing now I'm removing it from my apps. For the better part of a month, the icon has not had the giphy logo but rather that white schematic/blueprint like background that's more than likely a missing image. But it gets worse. I deleted the whole app entirely, redownloaded and went to add it back to iMessage and there's now an inexplicable "message extension plugin" that toggles in with the iMessage app. Even reset my phone but nothing would change it. Clutter and ugly. Please fix, this is the greatest app for gifs. Will update review when fixed.

Hostage taker app. This is a great app with one exception, that makes it unbearable. If you don’t let the app have full access to your keyboard it takes the keyboard hostage. It pops up a message over the keyboard that says allow full access with a button for MORE INFO. If you click the button and don’t allow full access it keeps the message over the keyboard. If you force close the app you are trying to use the keyboard in and reopen it still has the keyboard hostage! This is a ridiculous feature. If there is some way the developer can change this I would re download it.

App seems somewhat dysfunctional. I like that I can use GIPHY as a keyboard, but the account/profile settings can’t be updated on mobile. I’ve tried to set my display name, link socials etc, but the save button doesn’t work?? I tried many different ways but it seems to do nothing. I also tried searching on the built in instagram GIPHY keyboard for a GIF I uploaded, and despite typing exactly what I named it, no results? Very strange and hoping this app gets more attention because it could be great! And right now it’s just good.

Fantastic app overall, one main issue. This is without question the best app to fulfill all of your gif-ing desires. You can even add a button to your iPhone keyboard to copy gifs without even opening the app. The only main problem is that is has a hard time rendering and loading more than a certain amount of gifs on the same page, which is tough when you want to access something a little further down in your favorites.

This is awesome. I use this all the time. Tried other but not even close I come right. This is the place to go if you want to make people or that special one happy, and smile. Updated app just now - crashes on login. Just a heads up - tried to send some Valentine’s Day gifs to some folks but decided to finally update the app… updated… it crashed after download so I killed it, redownloaded and it worked “be animated” (with scrolling gifs). Then tried to login and it crashed - twice. Killed and downloaded again. Went to login and it crashed. I’m on an iPhone 12, running 16.0 (I will update to version 16.3.1, which may be the issue, but just a heads up). When the app works and I can use it, I really like it - but this seems kind of critical. 🙌

GIPHY is AMAZING. First off, I have NEVER left a review for any app but THIS one is just so much dang fun. I discovered it by accident looking for something else and I am SOOOOO glad I did. I have been messing with this thing for over an hour sending all my friends (at least they used to be - HA! HA! HA!) multiple gifs and stickers and even a little bit of the moving texts. The app is UBER easy to use and the Search engine is spot on. I have read that other people have had issues, but so far NOT me. Do yourself a favor and download this app and give it a try. You won’t be sorry!!!!!!!!

Does Not Work Well on iPhone 13 Pro/No App Support. This used to be so easy to use, but, ever since I got the iPhone 13 Pro, the app is difficult to use. After I make a gif, I have to delete the app and re-install it to make another one. If I don’t, it just freezes and nothing works. Reinstalling doesn’t always work on the first try either. Sometimes I have to delete the app and reinstall it multiple times in order for it to work, and heaven forbid I decide to change my mind and change the photo/video I’m trying to make a gif with, cuz the app freezes and then I’m back to deleting and reinstalling! And occasionally it’ll be working just fine then inexplicably freeze, and it’s back to square one. Also, app support is non-existent with this app.

Decent app. Overall you can find good .gifs. However they need a better search engine. I get all kinds of weird results when I search. Also it would be nice if they could require a rating for more rated R type .gifs. I would not want my child searching and seeing the results I see just by searching “birthday” etc. I find some offensive. I wish they had a filter to turn those off so you don’t see them. I do like you can find .gifs and it’s pretty easy to put on fb or text messages. Definitely not good for kids though.

Doesn’t work. Tried 10 times to make a gif. Your Gif creation is so horrendously awful. I tried like 10 times unsuccessfully to create 1 gif. Couldn’t do it, the app can’t even handle text right. It crashes practically every time I add something new or it just won’t let me cook. I can’t copy and paste, I can’t move text around, your text size and shape is stupid and bad. All around it seems that your gif creator is nothing but a joke used to annoy potential customers and drive them away from your service. It was an awful frustrating experience and you would need to fix it and pay me to change my opinion and my recommendations to Friends.

* updated *Gifs cut short. **update to the update** no more issues as of late. Back to 5 stars! **update* freezing and crashing update is fixed but the GIFs I try to use in iMessage are all being cut very short so you don't actually see the whole thing. Update. Latest update keeps crashing on me for some reason when I try and create my own Gif. I was able to make one successfully but since then once it selects the clip from my collection it then shuts.

You can create your own account and share stickers, memes and/or giphs. Please add share to Snapchat and the reaction frightened to the Explore tab. Also, there are tons of giphs to choose from. You can choose what giph you want, wether it’s reaction, animals, meme, stickers etc- this app has it all.

I’m a little confused?. I downloaded this app so that I could manage my giphy uploads on the go but I don’t have access to my dashboard to see any views? Either on my profile or individual gifs? A bit odd considering the mobile site shows me this but the app does not

Ok but has left-leaning bias. This app isn’t bad, I can usually find something similar to what I am actually looking for. But I’m noticing that in recent months it’s been pushing BLM, and now “women’s history month” like I’m supposed to feel like some oppressed person or something. I don’t need reminding that females used to be oppressed - it’s 2021. Thinking like that died in the 80’s and 90’s.

No more than a search engine. I got this app specifically because it was promoted that it posts to Instagram. Easy search function if you know what you’re looking for. Try and post it and it does nothing. Sits on the posting screen, none of the buttons work, have to close and restart instagram. If this is fixed than this app might be ok.

I’m Confused.... I will edit this review once if figured out what to do but as of right now, I’m kinda lost. The app won’t let me change my profile picture, I’m not sure if you have to have a verified account to be able to change it but it isn’t showing me an option to change my profile. 10/10 would meme with GIPHY again. Easy to use when looking for that perfect gif to send a friend and an awesome looking interface. An easy to use gif maker/sender is vital when trying to make a joke with someone as you are often frantically searching for the perfect gif as fast as you can and timing is everything when it comes to a good joke. The app seams with Messages, Messenger and Facebook perfectly. 💛

Very low quality since last update. GIFs are very low quality since last update. Downloading and/or uploading result in terrible pixelation. Turning off the “optimize GIFs” setting makes no difference.

FOLDERS to organise favourite gifs. Everything about this app is great! The only thing I wished GIPHY had were folders to organise our favourite gifs similar to how Instagram has folders for saved posts. This would make it SIGNIFICANTLY much easier to send certain gifs when talking to friends. Like for example, people could make a folder for cat gifs, and another for dog gifs etc! Otherwise this app is awesome.

Eek. I have this app on my iphone and it works perfectly fine. I re downloaded it onto my ipad and now the create gif doesn’t work? I tap the upload from photos and press use then it just goes back to the create a gif screen. If this is a glitch or bug please fix it.

Help me please. This looks like a wonderful app so I just downloaded it and created an account, but unfortunately it won’t let me create a gif. I clicked on the plus button, selected a video and pressed ‘use,’ but then the video just disappeared and went back to the ‘create a gif’ screen. Wont let me make a gif??. Seems like a great app, but when I try to make a gif and I tap on “select from photo library”, the screen won’t load. It either shows just a white screen or freezes. I cant make a gif at all. Please fix this, other then that great app but I only downloaded it so I could make gifs. Disappointed :/

Chance for improvement. It would be great if you had a kid friendly switch that would block adult content without parental approval. Perhaps a password protected option that parents could opt for their children.

Constant freezing. Best selection of giphy’s but the constant glitching and freezing is beyond annoying. Most of the time my phone freezes for minutes before i am even able to restart it.

recent update = deleted. loved giphy but now every time i click the symbol to change my keyboard, giphy doesn’t like the fact that i don’t give them full access. i don’t want too, and i don’t find it fair that i’m being pestered to do it every time i want to use an emoji. Can’t rest password. The app requires you to remember the password you forgot to reset your password. When you go to type the keyboard on your phone covers the text boxes you are entering information into. Not impressed with the layout or ability to use this platform. Have similar issues on the mobile browser as well.

Use of App. I love the app, but it constantly freezes up on me. I didn't have a problem at, or when I first started using it, now it is a constant thing and will freeze up my phone to the point I have to power it down. That can be hard too. I really hope you fix this problem because I use it a lot.

Help please. Ive looked all over the internet and still dont know how to make a sticker on this app. i can make gifs but there is not much on how to make a sticker which the website says you can do all you need is a transparent background but with all photos i upload with transparent/no background and then i try to make the sticker but then it uploads as a gif with a black background. Can’t share gifs with community unless you have a special account. I was looking for an alternative to Tenor and thought this was going to be it since gifs actually upload in under a day and the quality of the gifs are far better. HOWEVER I noticed that NONE of my gifs have shown up in the search. Doing more research I found some old articles saying that unless you have a "Brand or Artist" channel your gifs will NOT show up in the search. WHAT? Nowhere in the sign up process for this site do they EVER make that clear. What is the point of uploading my gifs on their site if I can't share with the community?

Awful. It wants access to your phone and all other devices around you. You can’t make a gif or edit it until you allow full access. And when you do they have access to all of your information including everything you type. I read the privacy stuff. Also, deleting the account is nearly impossible. They want you to have Windows from a desktop computer to be able to delete it. Or through them. Ummm. And no editing any information of any kind through the app. Again? Desktop computer. Also, it’s owned by Facebook. Of course. So no way of getting in touch with someone

Great app but crashes CONSTANTLY. Love the app but I also hate it due to the fact it crashes every time after I’ve been on it for about 1-2 minutes. Annoying AF! I’m can’t even browse or upload my own gifs and I’ve only been able to create 1, and the app crashes once before I was able to save it and I had to start over! So frustrating! Dear developers, please fix this! Make it better! You are definitely headed in the right direction and I’d change my rating to 5 stars if I could actually use the app how it’s intended.

Problems making gifs. I make gifs and for whatever reason some of my gifs will appear fine on the preview, but once they’re uploaded there’s a random frame thrown in at the beginning. This is very frustrating because I have to use another website to explode the gif and delete the frame, then reupload and hope it doesn’t screw it up again. Also, sometimes when I save a gif to my phone, it will only save part of the gif. I’ve had some that were cut basically in half

Useful place to find eye candy for Canvas class pages.. It helps with keeping the online (or in class) students amused as they get their practical info. Just find a gif that illustrates the concept, or simply gives a visual reward for reading a practical guide page. I stick hundreds of these into class pages so they don’t mind looking at weekly info.

Gifs are Choppy. Super great app never had any problems with it until now(that’s why the 4*) but about a week ago the gifs send all choppy. When I’m looking at the gifs to send they seem fine they only get choppy when I send them. Just and added not size isn’t the issue it’s all gifs even the pussinboots looking sadly at you is choppy (Edit) its all good now thanks guys

Can’t make stickers with pre-existing images. I’m able to make great gifs, but I I switch to sticker and then select an image from my photos it doesn’t let me save it as a sticker. I’ve already done all the editing by and have a stack of pngs I want to use in iMessages, but I can’t. I don’t want to make my face a sticker. I want to make a picture of my cat yawning a sticker. I just need an app to upload my pngs so I can use them as stickers in imessages

Fun app with minor issues. I have been using GIPHY for a while both as a stand-alone app and now within Messages in iOS 11. Works well. Two small issues: 1. App icon within iOS 11 on my iPad show as “blank”/concentric circles graph icon. I have deleted app and rebooted iPad but still get “blank” icon (and this happens only for GIPHY and none of my many other apps) 2. More of a request than issue: is there an iPad optimised version of this app?

Doesn’t even work. after I updated the app, it won’t let me make a gif unless the video is under 15 seconds long. before this update, it would let me edit those videos and let me pick what part of the video would be a gif. then I take the time to make the video I was trying to use shorter; and then it won’t even let me upload the gif. It just loads and does nothing. Make it so we can edit the video we’re uploading to make it 15 seconds long, and make it so the app actually works. Please😔👆👆

Great app... when it works.. I love this app when it works okay. The keyboard is awesome and making my own gifs is so easy. But the app keeps logging me out and then I can’t log back in. Even if I do get in sometimes, all my favorites and uploads have disappeared. And then I can’t figure out how to fix it. Even when I try and log in, I hit the log in button and the fields just go blank with nothing else happening. Without these bugs it would be a five star app, but I can’t even use it when this happens.

The only app that can’t seem to figure out logins after years. The incompetence of these devs is truly next level. For years now, the app will occasionally just stop working as a means of accessing my account. What I mean is that the main page and search worm just fine, but literally. I thing account-related will load. Logging in via browser works just fine; it’s only the app that is useless. Even after completely deleting the app, reinstalling, and logging back in doesn’t fix it. How devs can be this incompetent for this long is mind blowing.

App hardly works. I’ve contacted support for months to fix the mobile app so I can a) upload and b) see all of my uploads. It takes a week to get any response, and when they finally do, they send a standard “we’re working on it” response. When I ask again, ask something else, or ask when it’ll be fixed (because this has been going on for months) they stop responding. This has happened at least half a dozen times. I create these for an organization and I don’t know of other ways to upload gifs or stickers aside from GIPHY, otherwise I’d dump them.

Little Technology Problem. When I wanted to use the gif and saved that gif then I tried to use it as a picture on my friend's profile on my phone but it won't let the gif stay moving. When I tried to go down to find more gifs that I already used and it won’t let me keep going down and the other gifs had not appear

Can't access favorites in app. Used to be good but since the redesign MONTHS ago I haven't been able to view my favorites in the app. It just loads endlessly and never shows anything in that tab. I can still search and add things to my favorites, and they show up in iMessage, so the backend is working fine - just a broken front end that they're too lazy to fix. Update: This now effects search too - I get 2-3 results and the rest never load. Wifi, 4G, restart app, doesn't matter - when it doesn't want to work, it won't work. This is on iPhone XS so not caused by old hardware.

It’s great when it works but it’s buggy. I never written up an app review before. But man this app is buggy with iMessage. Seems like every time I try to use it it bugs out and I have to close messenger and reopen it at which point it works as intended. Otherwise it works fine and I like the assorted gifs to use. But it’s so annoying that it bugs out every time I want to use it in messenger. It’s been like this for almost a year. Hopefully they fix the issue at some point.

Missing giphy image in Apple widget bar. The latest update no longer has an icon image showing for apple’s iOS widget bar in the Messaging app. Where you can add those widgets along with the photo camera roll on the bar above the keyboard when you’re in a conversation and below the message your writing itself. Do people know what I’m talking about? Could you fix that in the next update please? Thanks!

Your app is awesome it’s super fun to send friends GIFs and that when you search up anything you want it show abajillion GIFs so like if you search up something not popular on other apps GIF has abajillion responses of GIFs and stickers it also keeps you updated when new GIFs come out or popular ones I LOVE Cardi B and GIF has acutrillion GIFs that pop up. all in all I LOVE the app and it’s super fun sending it to friends

I’m not very happy. The app was okay to start with. Then my entire feed was riddled with black lives matter gifs that I couldn’t get rid of. I don’t think the devs know that some people do not support the organization, or don’t want to get into politics while trying to find a random gif. It was pretty much screaming black lives matter at me, when I don’t even want to support the terrorist, racist, selfish movement. I even made a gif, for blue lives, and it was never posted to public from what I could see. Way to get people to like your app, shoving one thing in everyone’s face and then suppressing anything that’s opposite. Was promptly deleted afterwards.

Love the app but it needs work. I always have to scroll multiple times to get any POC. All white people are at the top for each thing I search. And that’s ok…. But a lot of times irrelevant or makes it difficult to find the gif I’m using. I’ve had to google something …find the gif then go back to the app to use keywords to find a gif for e.g Friday etc. It’s annoying and defeats the point of the app. The concept is great. Once the algorithm includes diverse gif options it’ll be the best app ever

Almost perfect!. The ONLY suggestions I have is to allow function to upload multiple file types to phone app for gif creation. Other than that phone app has improved tremendously!!! On windows 10, however, it allows multiple video and picture formats for upload, but it never runs correctly on my pc. With these resolved and/or added, I’d surely give 5 stars.

Easy to use & fun!. Sometimes you just can’t find the perfect gif or meme, so you can just make your own yourself! It’s a lot easier than it seems, trust me I am not tech savvy but have had a lot of fun and success with Gify. What’s cool is seeing when others have used your gif. It keeps tabs on how many times each gif has been used & shared. Just get it, try it and see for yourself!

App is next to useless. The app is just not as full featured as using the site. Forced into only using videos stored in Photos with no capability of uploading videos from a cloud service or stored in other apps right on my iPad. On the Home page all the gifs play simultaneously, making my iPad get hot fast and there’s no way to shut them off like there is on the site. I may just remove this app from my iPad as it is useless.

Inconsistent and Heavily Politically Biased. 1.). Amazing. If you tap ‘Support’ while using in the App, it’s a dead link. Nothing opens and there’s no response. 2). Search function is dead. The following words literally returned zero results: Happy. Sad. Smile. Laugh. Seriously GIPHY? Nice Job. MY kOLD REVIEW - Pretty Good, But They ‘Shadow Censor’ Certain Topics... and the topics in question ARE NOT banned or prohibited, rather Giphy censors GIF images which go against a certain political ideology, social stance or preference. Even if you merely express any gratitude you have for living in a country with Constitutional Rights, it likely will appearance For example, if you post a comparison of the energy delivered by different types or brands of rifle ammunition; since they’re anti-gun or anti-Second Amendment, they’ll allow you to upload your GIF, but if you plan on anybody ever finding or viewing it, good luck! Update has been updating for four days or more. If anyone has any suggestions to help me as I use this on a daily basis it would be greatly appreciated. I clicked on the update button almost a week ago and it’s still spinning but not available for me to utilize. I cannot delete it, I cannot stop it to reinstall or anything.

Best gif app. This app works better than all the rest in my experience. Easy to upload your own gifs and find others. Seems to have a better library than the other apps. Also integrates well with WhatsApp and messages My only problem is you cannot organize gifts into separate folders. You only have “favorites” and “uploads” and that’s it.

Always, ALWAYS broken.. This app always has some constantly changing, fatal bug that makes it a huge pain to use. Right now it’s that favorites mysteriously disappear—that is, if you can ever even get them to load at all—until you track them down again and then refavorite. Once they fix that, I’m sure something else important will stop working for 6 months until they fix that and break something else. And so on. I get that software is hard, but come on guys.

A little cheer and humor for my loved ones. JustDiscovered this on my Apple iPhone and have had this phone for about seven months while through a friend of mine that just sent me one definitely enjoying it and having lots of fun and creativity with this one cheering up they loved ones stay just got easier with this one five thumbs up thank you

Great app when it stays downloaded. I’ve used this app a lot and it’s the best I’ve found for gifs, but it just won’t stay downloaded. I actually watched it delete itself one day when I was about to click on it, and if I wanna use it again I’ve gotta go to the App Store and download it again. I’ve had to do that about six times in the past few months. Must be a bug of some kind but it’s getting a bit annoying.

Ms. Kim Hawes. I really love this app sometimes a picture says a thousand words BUT a MEME can say a MILLION! Thank you for a great app, I can spend hours searching for an amazing GIF or EVEN MAKING the PERFECT MEME/STICKER OUT OF MY OWN PHOTOS or random videos or pics on the internet. OH! I almost forgot the best part I can create my own PRIVATE COLLECTION ALONG WITH MY FAVORITES TO KEEP FOREVER...even if I am no longer am using the application. This app definitely deserves 5 STARS! I WISH I COULD RATE IT 6!

Racist app. Context: my cousin nickname for me is monkey because I’m a total spazz of the family. She has an obsession with make up and always sends me extra make up that she doesn’t use. I’m currently waiting for her delivery and telling her how excited I was. So I decided to search for a gif of monkey wearing full face make up. I searched ‘Fancy Monkey’ and what do I see ? Images of black people dressed in fancy clothing. I took screenshots as proof and immediately delete this app. This is absolutely disgusting!!! How dare you have a Black Lives Matter gif on your homepage and let something like this happen. I’ll be calling you out on social media.

In -app purchases. I’ve been afraid to use this because I saw somewhere that there were in-app purchases. I just want the free version- but I can’t find in-app purchases. So, I’m afraid that I might use one that costs money, and then I’d be subscribed to you all for a monthly rate. I’m on a fixed income, and can’t take that chance. How do I know if I’m using the free ones? Please respond ASAP!

The one stop shop for meme’s. At this point we all know what a men is. Most of us have replaced speaking with people in words for random moving images. This app, and nothing else is all you need to say anything and everything you could possibly ever have to say right here. I mean, today alone I found over 100 moving .gifs to express my love of mustard.

App Unusable. Okay guys I just updated to iOS 11. Now every time I try to send a Gif to Facebook it says I need to log in to Facebook. I’m logged in to Facebook. I logged out the app and reconnected to Facebook but still get this. I deleted and reinstalled and still get this. This is a major bug that needs fixing. PLEASE LOG IN TO FACEBOOK? Really? Tried on iPad 2 and no problem. Not iOS 11 there. Won’t connect with phone and iOS 11 though.

Disappointed. I downloaded this app for the first time excited to use this and I have never been so disappointed in a app. When I try to make gif the screen constantly turns black. I can’t click out of it or do anything. I try deleting the app and it worked one time and it’s back to being black screen again. I try using it from the website as-well to make a gif and it does not work either. It keeps loading and doesn’t get to the actual gif making at all. To be honest I thought this was going to be a well functioning app but I didn’t get to enjoy it even for a second. This is very disappointing.

I’d Like Higher Resolution. It’s a user-friendly app, that’s for sure. And it does make gifs and offer the option to convert to a Live Photo, which is great for using a gif as your lock screen. However, once the gif is made from a video, the quality lessens and you’re left with something blurry. I’d really love if there was a way to keep a decent quality gif! Other than that it’s a great app :)

GET IT TOGETHER!. keep getting still images whether i post gif on fcbk or in text.. my iphone6 is a bit old but shouldn't be dealing with this much just to see a gif. your gifs are good,, they can stand alone in the crowd. so stop forcing ppl to your website just to see a 2 second gif.. it's really a buzz kill!! then, making an account amidst all that who wants to be apart of such complication?!? Please get it together!

Doesn’t work anymore 😭. Are used to love this app but for some reason it doesn’t work anymore. If you are in Messages it will work as far as sending GIFs but if you try to go to the app to login it doesn’t let you click on any of the other tabs including the little person that you have to click on to sign in. Please fix soon!

Not a fan (anymore). I love this app and used it despite some frustrating things. For example some of my gifs would disappear and to get them I back I had to close the app and reopen it again. It also wouldn’t let me scroll sometimes. Now because of a new update or something it won’t let me post horizontal gifs vertically. It’s makes it streaks of color or solid black. If I screen record vertically it lets me post that, but there is no cropping feature that allows me to get just the framing I want. I will probably delete this, if not I will only keep it for the gifs I have made already.

Missing Feature From Recent Update. If I'm not mistaken you used to be able to disable safe browsing? So you can send any gif you want. Well I can't seem to find that feature and now when ever I search certain things it says no results even though I know there are results. Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll fix the rating but kind of disappointing if that's the case.

Chroma effect doesn't seem to work anymore. I love love giphy but one of my favorite filter effects the chroma doesn't seem to work anymore with gif/media from your own library anymore. It will work with the default preselect ones but not ones I import from my media library. The background will just remain black and not animated. If it helps I use the iPhone 12 mini.

It’s okay. This app would be perfect if it had its own independent text keyboard, so that I won’t need to keep switching between my stock and GIPHY keyboard to send text messages or GIFS, it does give you a keyboard to search for GIFs within GIPHY, why not make that keyboard also the primary texting keyboard? IOS keyboard is the dullest most minimal keyboard, I hate using it but it’s Apple and they don’t care about user customization , they only care about preserving their sterile minimalist outdated UI

Great App, but Slow. I find a lot of great gifs I wouldn’t normally find in apples gif search, but the app will sometimes take forever to load. Sometimes it’s a matter of waiting 10+ seconds for everything to load properly, and other times I have to restart the app. There have been a handful of times the app just doesn’t work no matter what I do. If they can make it run smoothly then this would be the best option for gifs.
