So, so i. Pros: Text to speech and visually easy to read and that's a definite plus. CONS: I purchased mainly for ability to highlight and copy text and that function doesn’t work! Also, many docs that open on other readers won’t open in this app and I receive a message that file is corrupted. Had high hopes, but still looking.

Overall it's good but. When you try to find meaning of a word with look up. It will go and search for you. Its only one time deal. Then its stuck and can not do anything. You need to reopen the app all over again. Better not to find a word with this. Totally useless. And if you even buy a pro version, it does not mean, it includes other thing like reading pdf file. you have to buy them one by one, if you want all. Other than this, its gonna give many features that you can play around. I bough with pro version and feel like its not worth that much. Hope it will improve with update versions. 24th Aug 2021

Can’t organize documents/unresponsive customer service. Pro: I use this reader exclusively for its text-to-speech. It has a few glitches, but works well enough & lets me listen to my books that haven’t been turned into audiobooks. Cons: the description says you can organize documents in the file manager, but after spending a lot of time experimenting with every option I could find, I still can’t make subfolders or move docs out of the inbox. Sure, the sorting feature works, but I like the convenience of having folders, and the app’s description touts its ability to make them and to search subfolders. I wondered if this was a premium feature, so I bought the pro version, but nothing in the UI changed (it’s really, really nice not dealing with the constant onslaught of ads, though — they’re incredibly intrusive) Even worse, tech support is completely non-responsive. I have emailed them repeatedly to ask how to make folders & move docs, but they haven’t responded. I’ll continue using this app for reading my books aloud, but I’ll be using Marvin for when I read ePubs, because I have a lot more control there over how I organize them and its UI is much better (note: to be fair, it doesn’t support as many doc formats as this one — it’s a specialized ePub reader).

last page of ePUB files not shown. The last page of every chapter is not shown. It cuts off midsentence. Turning to the next chapter then reduces the page count by one. I found a workaround, where you can change font sizes on the next to the last page, and get the missing page back. But it's annoying to have to constantly change font size at the end of every chapter.

EPub. Love this program for quickly accessing books and articles I need to read. Wonderful to have for travel!

Don’t buy this App. I bought the professional version of your App because I wanted to listen to a book I had downloaded. My interest was to use the read aloud option that your App offers because with the free version just allows you to listen 30 minutes The problem was that the paid version also stopped after 30 minutes.

Great studying aid tool. Great study aid. Most words are clear the choices of speed seem reasonable. The only issue is that from time to time the app stops for no reason and I need to turn my phone off and on.

A ePub reader when I needed one. The app is full of ads and people who got the paid version have to make additional payments to read pdf's with it. I'm thankful that it lets me read my books but I just wish it was add free from the get go

Very useable.. Reader friendly. It saves your page. I would love to be able to highlight text as a reader...

Couldn’t use. I was able to add a Windows smb location, open it and view the shares, but when opening the folder I got a message saying failed. So I can’t access my shared location. No matter, I have another file explorer I’ll just copy an ePub with that, but this app has no way of looking at local files. So was never able to a actually add an ePub to read.

Doesn’t deliver as promised. I downloaded the free version but had trouble renaming files and couldn’t highlight text. Tried the pro version next. The only difference was that it froze up constantly and I no longer got the messages asking if I wanted the pro version. Don’t waste your time or money on this app

User friendly?. Bought a book. Downloaded it. Wanted to LISTEN to it but can’t? Not able to get back to original screen? Not sure why?? Frustrated already, not user friendly

Good app. Are use this app to download fan fiction and have at read allowed to me while I do other stuff. While it’s a good app overall, I will say that there are some issues that you have to troubleshoot yourself and when you download things you need to do it through their browser. If you don’t it takes you to an inbox and won’t let you sort the files into the different folders. also just stick to the free version, clicking through the ads isn’t terrible.

Great Reader. I bought a book set and didn't know that it wasn't paperback which left me scrambling to find a way to read the books. Once I figured out how to read the books I grabbed this ePub app and it's worked flawlessly, has all the settings I need and then some. I don't normally give a five star rating to any app, but this one deserves it and more!

Best app so far for reading Gutenberg e-books. If the app only had a click-to-look-up dictionary, which worked off-line, I think it would be about perfect.

Great ePub reader. I needed an app to read .epub files on my phone and managed to find this one. I was able to export my books from a storage app to this one and read them like I would on kindle. There are a few app advertisements that pop up from time to time but they aren't extremely common or long.

Love this app!!!. I love this app a whole lot!! Feels same as turning the pages of a hardcopy book. And, it’s simple to navigate. I highly recommend this app.

I like it. I needed this because I u knowingly purchased an ePub book. I find the navigation button in the middle awkward and when the app is in night mode, there is a blast of white light each time you turn the page, which hurts the eyes. I am grateful to have the app when I really needed it. I cannot highlight but believe I can bookmark. I will have to double check.

Easy, simple, & quick. Just what I was looking for! Makes it quick and easy to get documents/ebooks onto my phone without having to deal with any cords.

Great reader but not user friendly. At first I thought this app was pretty rough but as I discovered the features I was looking for I began to realize how awesome it is.

Helps with manual in being available all the time. You can have the manuals easily available on your phone for ease of access. Don’t have to carry 30 books with you just download and go.

How many times.... The day and night mode is waaaay to unstable. It seems Ike every book that I read I need to reset the night mode settings. And on some of them I can't set it to my desired settings. Otherwise...it works! Update... I gave in and got the paid version. It works a lot better. But still not 5 stars. The app tends to reset at the worse times. And the thing with the day and night mode is now resolved, it works like I need to to. Thanks. 2nd update... How many times does this app require that you give a review? It constantly pops up to give a review. It's very annoying that is why it's now down to 3 stars. Ok, the paid version is no longer annoying with the pop up. The app works very well. I'm happy with it. Nothing new to report, it's STILL working well.

Absolutely amazing. This is the perfect app for people who are looking for college leveled books. It is very useful and a life saver in my chase. I did not have to pay to get a book that would otherwise be 15-20 dollars at my school so I’m thankful for it.

Great for iPhone reading. I’m on the go often, as well as do a lot of reading before bed. With this app, I am able to read anywhere. I love the feature to change it to night time reading. Everything works great for me on the iPhone 7plus.

Good app. I recommend this app. The ads are a bit intrusive, but it is free, so that’s unsurprising. I’ll take this opportunity to plug project Gutenberg, which is a website where you can download free ebooks that have gotten out of copyright.

Awesome, slight issues.. Hasn’t been updated in years. Using Look Up on iOS to search the definition of a word mid text causing the app to freeze. Other than that for me, it’s great.

Don't get the Pro version!. I've seen a lot of the complaints from people who bought the Pro version for $4.99, only to find that a newer update forced them to make additional purchases to read certain format documents. That just sounds pretty unreasonable. Luckily, I never did this and just stuck with the free version. I enjoy this version, and it works great for my purposes, if you don't mind an occasional ad when you initially go to open a book. So yeah, moral of the story: stick with the free version...down with iaps!

Good overall, just lacks the correct screen ratio for iPhone xmax. It had good ui, enough customization to fit text to your needs. Just needs to fill up screen on iPhone xmax

Great Reader, Needs Scrolling Feature. I purchased this app to eliminate slightly annoying ads totally worth it if you plan to frequently use this app. Ive used this app to read lots and lots (over 100) of epubs. I upload from Dropbox into this reader; there are other ways to upload content also (once you get to the home menu and settings). Has excellent options that can be used to create a “dark mode” in addition to files native color scheme. Would be “perfect” in my book if it also supported vertical scrolling (in addition to flipping pages) within chapters. Still, I give this app nearly full stars.

Helps with eye issues ! ! ! !. EPub allows me to set up my Reader so I can read my books easily. I had medical issues and now get a migraine trying to read a normal book. The white background is blinding and even white text can gradually become blinding as well.

Basically Good. It provides the publication but once you are reading it is difficult to determine where you are in the book. The lack of mobility makes it harder to use than necessary

For a free app, it’s awesome!. I’ve never had (or wanted) an e-reader, but when I wanted a book that cost over $20 for paperback yet was only $2.99 digitally, I figured I’d give it a shot. Using this app, I don’t need a separate device, so I have my book in my phone, ready to read whenever I’m waiting at an appointment or need to kill time before a date or am just lying in bed and don’t feel like getting up to grab the book I forgot in the living room. This app remembers where I was and easily lets me “read” my book with simple swipes. Will it replace tangible books for me? No. But will I totally use it again, the next time I want to read something that’s dramatically cheaper digitally, using this app? Absolutely!

Interface difficult to use. It’s hard to change to different books. Still haven’t figured out how to, when pressing in the middle of the page it gives you options but not of those includes switching to another book I may want to read.

Great app with all the customizations!. This app has all the customizations and fine adjustments I was looking for in a ebook reader. Font size, line spacing, margins etc... I was trying other apps but they don't have all the adjustments I need for my reading experience.

Great so far. It’s a great app so far but I hate how you have to upgrade, even if it’s your documents. I love that I can still read them but lots of adds once you go a few pages.

Easy to use. The apps looks easy to use and I like the options for navigation and backgrounds. Can’t ask for more of a free app.

Way behind in technology.. This ap is missing a ton of features that other aps have. I had to get this ap to use one of my etext books. This ap does not give you the option to highlight or take notes. You can't zoom out and see multiple pages at once. I usually like to see how many pages are in a chapter so I can split up the reading and in order to do that I have to flip through each page and count. This just isn't super user friendly especially for college textbooks.

Now like it, after I found settings. June 1, 2020, after my beloved NeoSoarBook disappeared, I'm looking for a good alternative epub reader. The pages of books downloaded in EPUBReader turn nicely, and the small print was corrected with settings. Also, depending on the book itself, some books show all their chapter headings.

I would like to adjust the font. I would also like for there to be a menu. Early in my usage I recall there being one but now I am reading an e-book and do not have a way to go back to the home screen to adjust the font, look at other books etc.

Exceptional and productive value. One flaw worth noting getting in an out of menus. I'm not tech-savvy, but I find more trouble than I should navigating files than I do navigating Safari. ...then again Safari is directly an Apple product, so its understandable. Nonetheless, thats my only "real" concern. Positives: What separates this from other text File Readers is its fantastic overall compatibility (get the upgrade; you're welcome) and the app has provided efficient reading, like waiting in line or for your grub or filling the silence from disclosing to your girlfriend that things aren't working out

Works great. I downloaded this app when iBooks refused to load a book I wanted to read. This app worked perfectly.

New user. Difficult to navigate but easy to use once book is open.

Free vs Paid ???. On the Apple App store this app is listed as ‘free’; during some aspect of use I am asked that to proceed further requires the ‘paid’ version. The required payment is $5.99. When I attempt to follow through with payment my actions are rejected. If I attempt purchase through the App Store, there is no option given for payment. Very confusing. To add some authority to my assessment, I am a very long time user of Apple products and an experienced user of the technology. Except for this “problem” I find the app to be excellent in all regards. I am using the app on an Apple iPad running the latest iOS update.

Only ePub reader that does good audio. I have literally tried over 10 different EPUB readers. I keep coming back to it because I love how I can have this one read it to me. I have the pro version. I love it

Decent app. I wish it had more features, and the ads are annoying with the free version, but overall, it does the job.

File Manager Crashes. I spend hours downloading files and building my library, then soon as I click Documents in file manager- the app crashes soon as you click on it and the iPad goes back to the Home Screen icon and nothing! This is the pro version as well! Thought it would be the answer to downloading documents off the internet because the browser works well, not not much good when you go to read them and it shuts down first click!

Please Add. Great app. However, I’d rather pay to permanently remove ads for $1.99 than buy the pro version of the app because I’m only interested in getting ePub books.

Easy to use, the program is pretty intuitive.. This is the first EPub software I ever used. Looking forward to learning more functions.

Great but very excessive ads.. The free version ads are highly excessive. Almost every single page turn has an ad when you decline the upgrade. I understand the need to sell, but it’s a little ridiculous. All that said, the functionality of the app is great.

Great app. oreinstalled. Does what it needs to do. Better than the preinstalled ereader. My one suggestion, add a page count for each chapter.

No highlight, no notes. As my title says.I bought the pro version. While the content itself is good it does not provide for highlighting or for notes. The support is worse still.

Keeps Crashing. I would of given this a 5 start rating 12 months ago as I love the way you can change the setting, font size and shape, background colours and font colours as I’m visually impaired and find a white background has too much glare. Over the past 6 months the app has started to play up and stop working to the point that now I cannot use it at all. It just keeps crashing on both my iPhone and iPad. I’ve tried to contact the developers but their site cannot be reached according to the internet. Very disappointed as it was a great app.

Its gone downhill. Sometimes I wonder what I signed up for. Nearly $10 of in app purchases and I can’t even find the books I’ve added even with bookmark. It seems like everything has become an ‘in app purchase’. How disappointing to see what greed has done to such a good app.

Terrible from start to quick finish. Terribly clunky to use and it's terrible at scaling the document. I can't read along.

If only I found this earlier. What a great app. Download all my reading material to this app and can read non stop. The night option makes it easier on my eyes and the convenience of not having to lug around a paperback. Plus no one on the bus/train/at work can see the sadistic trash that I read!

Mr. Multi functioned ePub reader! The best of 4 that I tried. The ads are annoying as hell so I wanted to buy the full version. Unfortunately, I cannot use my Google Play credit to buy it....I do not have a credit card so no sale.

aesthetically horrifying. the user interface has no natural feel to it and the settings to change it do not apply. evidently heavy stress breathing close to the screen is enough to dim the brightness levels though. aesthetically horrifying is the only way to describe this ~ my apologies to whoever created it but this app should come with a medical warning. it is not disability friendly.

Pretty good but can’t connect to google drive. It’s pretty much everything I wanted from an epub reader except for one problem. There are apparently security issues with this app that mean google won’t allow it to connect to drive. Since this app hasn’t been updated in five years I doubt this is ever gonna be fixed which is disappointing since Dropbox only has a fraction of the storage space that drive offers.

Demands too much access. Trying to sync a Google Drive and it wants access to Add, Alter, and even Delete any any all file with full access to my drive? Pardon me, what? LOL

Not happy!. I got this app to read a book I already had. Not only I was unable to add it to my library permanently, to open it I had to go through files and use open with command. It would not remember the page I was, te table of contents stopped loading after a week of use. The frequency of ads seem to have increased quite a bit over the said week as well. There are way better alternatives.

Great free version. Easy interface with database accesses to different libraries of mostly classic books that can be uploaded straight from the app. Some errors with the databases at times though.

Good app. I've only been using it for one book so far. I like it a lot very useful. My only critique on the free version you can't make the font larger. Im not sure if on the full version you can make the font larger or not.

Great App. I can load my e-books and papers and read just like a Kindle app. It can also adjust to vision.

It doesn’t even read epub files. I downloaded a book from my library but it’s an epub so I tried to open it in the app and it doesn’t even let you read it, it just saves it as a file for you that you CANT open.

Great app. Lots of settings to adjust, really easy to pull documents from your email etc. Exactly what I needed.

Won’t connect to Google Drive. While trying to set up the connection to Google Drive, I’m informed the app was “trying to access sensitive data on my account” and get blocked by google. Considering Google Drive is one of the most common cloud storage platforms, this seems like a pretty big issue.

It’s missing highlights. If it’s has the option to highlight would be amazing! But the rest, the app is perfect!

Seems well structured but .... Aside from the universal iPhone problem - only one app owns a file extension - this looks to be well laid out. Problem is all of my EPUB docs are on Google Drive, and this isn’t verified by Google yet for linked access.

Great but one glitch. I love this app because it’s super convenient and great quality. However, night mode is really glitchy and doesn’t work very well.

Add some features. A more story telling voice would be good for the person who reads the story aloud

Terrible free app.. Can’t use the navigation functions reliably without being forced to interact with a full screen ad you CAN’T close, CAN’T navigate away from, or even (not joking) playing a game of Candy Crush. This is the most intrusive advertising scheme I’ve ever seen on a “free” app. The developers should be ashamed, or dragged and flogged in the streets, I can’t decide which.

Forgets my book constantly. It has the ability to use smaller margins than Apple Books. But every 5th time I open the app it has completely forgotten the book Iam reading, forcing me to find the file and find where I am in the book. It’s awful.

Keeps forgetting about my book. I downloaded an ePub and tried to read it with this app. However no books showed up in its ‘downloads’ tab. I finally got it to discover the book using the ‘send to’ action. But the next time I opened this app it had forgotten about this book.

Good. But I don’t like all the adverts. Question: When upgrading to premium, do the books from the free ereader follow into the premium version?

Excellent Experience. I love this EPub reader. As a content creator I want to deliver the best experience to my readers. An EPub using the EPub Reader often times is the best choice.

Very good reader. Almost better than Apples iBooks. But just tried out 1 book so far

Okay come on.... First of all, this app has pro’s and cons (mostly cons) I love how you get to read epub files on this app, but recently i found out that it’s actually supposed to be for Nook tablets. Which means that Apple users only have a poor version. And the ads?! Literally every time i open the app, it shows an option to buy pro version, and after i cancel it opens the same ad EVERY TIME. if you removed this i would give 4 stars

Do Not Purchase - Waste of Money. The App only works with ePub files. It does not convert PDFs to ePub. You can’t highlight. It will not allow opening Gutenberg site, when it does and you download an ePub file, the file doesn’t open, you can only share it. Google drive calls it a security risk.

Good app. I paid for the upgrade, works well, not great. Spaces are to big between paragraphs, text goes all the way to the right edge of the page.

Great app.. Needed a generic ePub reader and this is it. Very easy to learn. I'm using the free version to see if I'll like it. I do. Going to go back and buy it. Very worthwhile.

John. Great app it won’t let me save my downloaded document but it runs smoothly while I am using the app.

Continuous reading good. But if you are not used to an electronic voice, you may want a different option. Pronunciation can be odd, but context helps one figure out what it was supposed to be. Good app for accessibility even with free version.

Needs a fix!. In "dark mode" for night reading, back of page is bright white when animated page-flip occurs - quite disturbing.

Easy to use app. Not as polished but works as expected

Does the job!. Works well. I would appreciate an easier method on changing viewing options. Ads are a minor inconvenience.
