It won’t play videos?. I’ve had this app a while, and within the last month or two the videos have stopped playing. It’ll show me the recipe and instructions, but there’s a white box where the video would be that never loads anything. I’ve attempted to uninstall and redownload the app, I’ve restarted my phone, etc. Maybe the app just needs a bug fix, but it’s very annoying regardless.

Atrocious layout. I love the tastemade channels, recipes, and personalities. But the app itself is god awful. Why do I need to turn my phone off of silent in order to hear the sound? It’s 2018, all of my other apps don’t have this stupid catch. There is no volume control, no full screen option, no rewind/fast forward buttons. Whoever’s in charge of the app design is mistaking complete lack of function for minimalism. Also, I noticed some older videos are being edited/updated to cut out extra talking (I noticed it under Jen Phanomrat’s channel)—what the hell?? Leave the videos alone! They’re great the way they were originally, not with your new trash edits. Extremely disappointed in such an awful app for a wonderful site.

Nothing like ChefsFeed. When I went to find ChefsFeed to reload onto my phone, this is what came up. When I tried to go to the website for ChefsFeed, it redirected me to the Tastemade website. ChefsFeed would give restaurant recommendations from chefs. This app seems to just be a hub for various shows about cooking, travel, and design. The layout seems a bit confusing so I’m not sure. If this is supposed to be a replacement for ChefsFeed it is subpar to say the least.

Frustrating. I have had this app for quite a while. I used to love it because it had tons of videos, pretty entertaining cooks, and good recipes. Just recently, I have noticed they have moved WAY more forward with the whole paid subscription thing and now I can’t even watch videos I used to watch!! Videos on my favorites list keep turning to paid videos, so now I can’t even get them off of my favorites page! I can hardly use this app anymore because most videos are paid videos! It’s very frustrating.

What happened?!. I used to absolutely love this app! I loved all the short videos of the recipes, and how simple and easy it was to go out and get what I wanted and make a meal in such a little time. But now I see this new update only has long videos of the recipes, and nothing that I had saved on the app before the update is available now. I’m honestly quite disappointed now because I had many things I wanted to try making this summer, but now it’s all thrown out this window for this bull crap. I guess it’s cool for people who are really into watching cooking videos, but I just like simplicity and not having to watch 20 min videos to make a dish. I’m not happy with this!

Love this app!. The new update has been amazing. I’ve been able to easily binge my favorite show. I’ll even log in from my TV and be able to watch there. Love it!

Don’t bother getting if you don’t want to pay. I like watching Tastemade videos and getting ideas, but I’m not consistently cooking and baking, so I didn’t really want to buy anything. Although I got to watch one video, after the “trial” period that only seems to last 5 minutes, you literally have access to nothing without paying. So if you just like watching the videos and don’t want to spend money, DON’T GET THIS APP.

Love Tastemade but your website and app isn’t working for me.. I made an account for Tastemade and when I put my name in for some reason when I went back, changed it to what it’s supposed to be (because It autocorrected my name) and kept going my name was AGAIN wrong even though I tried to fix it! When I went to my profile page there was no option to edit my name and so I tried logging out. When I went to login my password was now not working either. I then tried to change my password but when I went there the website would not let me tape in the bar to type my new password and kept pulling up something else. Maybe you won’t have my problem but MAKE SURE you have everything right while making an account.

Bring back the previous version!. Do not like the newest version (v 4.920 or something) at all. I subscribed to Tastemade because it was so easy to search up recipes and loved that i can toggle between different versions from different countries Tastemade page, but the new version is confusing and full of fluff that i dont really care for and now i cannot find any of my saved recipe that i was super excited to try! What the heck!🤯 bring back the previous version!!

So Disappointed. I never write a review, but this app really disappointed me. Without a subscription you can only watch 5 videos a month! I find that so ridiculous, and honestly it made me delete the app. Why would I want to take up storage with an app that is so limited? I would’ve loved to write a better review because the app really is fun, and the videos are wonderful as well as the tastemakers, but unfortunately this 5 video limit is really ridiculous.

Useless. I find it absurd that the Tastemade iOS app has no reference/link to how to get to recipes. Nothing about Tastemade+, nothing in the account area to indicate subscription level. It’s pretty terrible. I signed up for a subscription thinking recipe links will automagically show up in the app, but nope! So now I’m just irritated and so I cancel the sub, before stumbling on the fact that I can find the recipes in the web app—only? Well that makes sense. NOT. And honestly, ok, if you don’t want to pay Apple for the whole InApp purchase thing…just don’t have an app. Crippled and approaching useless for someone who wants to do more than watch someone else cook.

Not worth it. Originally I just looked on Tastemade on snapchat and screenshotted recipes I liked, then I found out about this app and was so excited I didn’t have to wait for new recipes on Snapchat in order to browse tastemade’s options. However, after looking at only five recipes I can’t even look at anymore without paying to see new videos. Besides the fact that I could literally just look it up on safari, making paying pointless, the videos aren’t even necessary for me and it would be nice to just see the recipe regardless of if there were a video or not! But that isn’t an option. I hope it is understood that people will begin deleting the app or never installing it in the first place when they realize how frustrating and useless it is. Two stars only because the recipes are good but the app is terrible.

New Tastemade👎🏾. When I first found Tastemade, I was in love with the recipes, chefs and format of the app. But like many others, I became increasingly disappointed in the amount of content that Tastemade labeled as premium or “plus” content over time. Videos that were once free to watch now have a stipulation of five videos or so before you are prompted to pay for Tastemade Plus which tbh is a complete waste of money. The recipes are great but they aren’t anything special and Tastemade isn’t the only app or website that offers recipes. I don’t see a need to pay for this app when apps like Tasty are free and offer a variety of recipes similar to if not better than those found on Tastemade. The constant push for users to pay for content is a complete turnoff and I’ve since deleted the app and just turn to other recipe sites and apps that don’t require a subscription for no particular reason. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Amazing videos!. Broken bread made me happy and heart broken at the same time. There is so much we don’t know about in our own communities and to see an agency at its peak and then lost speaks to ignorance. Surely if enough people understood the mission some of these agencies would surely still be open.

What Happened to the Free Videos?. I really loved this app; I would watch dessert videos on here for HOURS. I didn’t (and still don’t) mind watching ads in order to access the videos for free, but now that I have to watch ads to access a very limited number of free videos a month, I am becoming frustrated. I don’t understand why they have suddenly placed a restriction on the number of free videos one can watch. I really like the videos on here, but I doubt I will keep using the app if this doesn’t change.

HATE the update. WTH Tastemade?!? You got rid of so many recipes! And even if you didn’t get rid of them I can’t find them. I hate that you can’t view categories and topics of recipes (i.e. cheese, dessert, garlic, comfort food, etc). I can no longer browse to see what I might want to make. No, I have to swim through lifestyle shows if I want to even come close to that. I hate that you put priority on those shows instead of individual recipes. I hate that when you search something like “garlic” to find some garlic-y recipes, you only get THREE RESULTS that are from SHOWS, not individual recipes. I’m going to Tasty.

Great for foodies, but.... I love this app. I’ve been on the Tastemade train for a while now and I love, most, things about the app. One thing I have yet to appreciate is that you can’t see the videos that are in each post. There are 4, cool, but what are they?? It would make Tastemade sooo much better to either a) make a list accessible to know what videos are attached to what post, or b) not clump posts together. Whether it changes or not, I’ll still Love Tastemade, but it’s just a small thing that would make a huge difference for me!!

NEED CLOSED CAPTIONS. Most videos are wonderful and I like the new looks. However, it does need closed captions, so I could understand what it does really say in these videos ! I gave three stars, because just they are amazing for these recipes but then they don’t have closed captions, is that what’s lost 2 stars. Bring closed captions to this app and this will be 5 stars 💋🌟

Gets worst with every update.. I have been a subscriber of Tastemade from the very beginning, although the content has gotten better the app has become more unstable with every update. With this new update I was logged out of my account, the app would not accept my email address or password, so I had to create a new account. The search results are a hit or miss, putting in a term like “meatballs” brings up no results, but “chicken” will bring up results even if chicken or chicken stock isn’t an ingredient, this has been a constant issue. I have sense lost all recipes I have saved, which is about a years worth. They have also changed the app into this streaming service, so now instead of recipes there are half hour to one hour long episodes. Whoever made this decision was stupid because they are literally forgetting about what made tastemade so popular. I have no issue with paying its only 1.99 a month (grandfathered price) but tasty is free, bon Appétit has better recipes, and content, and there are a host of other bloggers and websites out there as well. I’m done with Tastemade. Unless you have the grandfathered price don’t waste your time with this one.

Fantastic to Worse. this used to be one of my favorite apps, but now it’s probably the least. i used to go on all the time and i was so excited to make different foods. it was a lot of fun. BUT NOWWW i have to pay to enjoy the app??? it said i was able to watch three videos a month?? it glitched on one of the videos and counted it as one. i’m not going to pay $5 a month for the app when i can just easily look up recipes on the internet.

Hate it now. I USED to love Tastemade so much because it was fun and entertaining but I would only watch it once a month so I didn’t really have a reason to get Tastemade plus. But now with the new update I hate it!! Before there were like one or two free videos to watch and now ALL of them are plus! I’m going to switch to free apps like Taste because I can actually watch recipes without paying money. I’m very disappointed that Tastemade has turned into this.

Bad user interface. I love Tastemade but this app has terrible user interface. Ad placements would often make it impossible to watch a video. Their monetization structure feels overly aggressive. Charging money to save videos feels unnecessary since you can just as easily search the name of a recipe when you need it. Every time I exit the app and opens it again, the whole app restarts instead of taking me to the previous recipe I was viewing.

Annoyed. I have been watching videos on this app for almost a year now and used to be able to watch almost all of the videos. And then they updated. And now videos that I used to watch previously are suddenly locked, and when I do watch videos, there is no audio. At first it was only a few vids that looked like they were more labor intensive and so I understood, but then it spread to the point where it’s not even worth it to download the app.

So Upsetting. This new update is totally trash! I used to love this app! It was my go to for new recipes to try, whether they were good or bad. I can’t even watch videos anymore because literally everyone I tap on it’s constantly forcing me to pay. I can’t even sign in on the account that I have because it’s not “subscription account”. I guess it’s true that good things don’t stay good for long😔

Pretty Good. I like this app. It has a lot of really cute recipes, and you can easily find a recipe you want by searching for it. It is easy to navigate, and the videos are a good quality. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to subscribe to get more saves, which is super annoying.

Hate this update. I am a simple girl who likes to cook. Where are all the recipes?! That’s the reason I was paying the subscription. I don’t just want to watch episodes. The app was so easy now it’s pointless because I have to look up everything online. I’m even more made because I was in the middle of cooking while it updated and now I can’t find my buffalo grilled cheese recipe on the app. Very mad. The app is ok but also try to incorporate the recipes into it.

I’m confused with it. I believe I had this for a while, but never tried to use it until today. I didn’t know I have to pay for a subscription, but when I tried to read it, it disappeared. I was looking for crepe recipes. They kept flipping (see what I did there?) to other recipes and ads. I couldn’t see anything for more than three seconds. I think I’ll just delete and search FB because after five minutes, it’s not worth my time.

Glitchy and overpriced waste. I have been using Tastemade for a while and it was fine at first. Now it’s a glitchy unorganized mess. You have to pay for certain recipes which is a waste of money because google exists. The only reason I used it was convenience and now it won’t even let me save recipes, because the app will not work. This app is falling apart and it has lacked the same helpfulness it had in its early years.

New favorite app!. I’ve always been a lover of Tastemade, and this app is just another reason why. Recipes that are so fun to watch and (sometimes) make or at least I think I can make! The videos are mesmerizing and the food has me drooling. All their new home and travel content has been an added bonus too. I wish I could eat it all and travel to all the places. One of my favorites!

Finally deleted the app. The original app was useful where you could get some recipes here and there which were pretty easy to make. Nothing too spectacular, but with some tweaks you could make something amazing! Now you have to pay for a subscription for betty Crocker level recipes? No thanks. I’ll use other apps that are free like tasty especially if I’m just going to be using only bits and pieces or just the idea of a recipe (and then make my own recipe in the end). Deleted the app and now I have more space on my phone.

Where. Are. The. Recipes?!. Look, if I wanted to watch non stop Tastemade videos I’d scroll Facebook or Snapchat for FREE. I thought I’d be getting access to the videos and the actual RECIPES so I can try and make the crap on the show but NOOOOO. I wasted $20 for a year of basically free videos. Gave 2 stars because I actually enjoy the video content, but I’m angry that you don’t give your subscribers the actual recipes.

Awful. I used to love this app but now with the new update I HATE IT. I used to be able to watch multiple shows a day but now with the new update you can only watch 5 shows a MONTH. All they want you to do is pay for a subscription, when many people might not want to. But seriously only 5 shows each MONTH. And all the shows I liked to watch such as- the scran line I can’t find and it’s sad cause I really liked that show. I’m really disappointed they should just go back to the old update. It’s just really annoying that you can only watch 5 shows a month if you don’t have a subscription. I really liked the old update. If this keeps happening I’m going to delete the app. LITERALLY EVERYTHING IS PLUS😒

What are you doing Tastemade. I’m deleting this app. As much as I like Tastemade this is the worst way to try to get money. You’re forcing subscriptions to watch videos but there’s no choice whether I want to watch the video or not. Sometimes I want to just look at the recipe and ingredients or see if it’s something I’d try. But even then I’m forced to watch a video (with no sound) and it’s using one of my free videos. How could you only offer 5 free for A MONTH?? Think about your audiences needs first before going with this ridiculous subscription price. You’re NOT Netflix. 7.99 for your content is not justifiable.

Great Recipes, Unfriendly Subscription. I love that I can search for recipes or specific ingredients, however it doesn’t show which recipes are only available with the subscription. I wish they would indicate that so that I know which ones are free and which aren’t, hence the four stars.

Used to be great.... I used to LOVE this app- I watched numerous recipe videos every day. Now, unfortunately, the new update has rendered it nearly useless for me as it only allows 5 videos to be viewed every MONTH before needing to upgrade to the Plus version. Not only that, but when you click cancel on the pop-up demanding an upgraded Plus version to view the video, it returns you to the original home screen. Because of this, you can’t even use just the recipes without the videos. So basically, this app is now worthless without the Plus version. If this isn’t changed soon, I’ll be deleting the app. :(

Everything I loved about the app is gone. I loved watching all the recipe videos and saving recipes and things, that’s what I subscribed for. I had lots of recipes saved, and I would get lost watching the videos. Then BAM, the app updates and they don’t even recognize I have a subscription, all the videos I saved are gone, and all that exists in the app is the Tastemade TV content that I never once got into watching. Such a disappointment and in the end a waste of my time and money since all the recipes I paid to save are gone.

Love it!. I’ve been using this app for a couple of weeks now and all my friends think that I’m an amazing chef..... I’m the opposite of amazing chef but this app lets me cook delicious food that anyone can easily make! I’m not one to write reviews on apps but man I use this one daily, I even check it more than Instagram/Snapchat to get more ideas for cheap recipes i can make at home. Thanks tastemate you really live up to your expectations, which is really hard to come by now a days.

Disappointed. I absolutely loved this app. I went on it everyday and I was so inspired to try new recipes but with this new update I hardly feel that anymore. I didn’t like the new look but over all it still worked great. But now every time I click on a video that is not a “plus” video it tells me it is a plus video and I should start paying for the app. I can’t watch any video on here anymore. Nor can I save more recipes than 50. Then once I cleared them out and tried to save new ones it won’t let me because it says I am out of saves when I don’t have anything saved anymore. Probably going to delete this app soon if this keeps up.

Subscriptions. I like watching and baking the Tastemade desserts but about a month ago was able to watch unlimited videos without paying for it. Now you can only watch 5 free videos a month instead of all of them. You have to buy a subscription to have unlimited access to videos and Live TV.

Suddenly requires a subscription. Well, after being free and showing a significant amount of (if not all) recipes for free, it seems I can’t click on a single search result without a pop-up requiring paid registration. I’ve had the app a really long time and it’s ridiculous to not be able to use basic features for free. I can understand charging for things like meal plans or recipes based on a specialized category (dietary restrictions, for example) but just searching an ingredient or “cupcakes” shouldn’t cost. Oh well.

Was good but got money hungry. I used to love looking at all of the different recipes and saving them all so I could try them. This was my favorite food app... and then they made premium videos which you had to pay for. I didn’t think much of it and I was fine looking at only the free content. But then they made it so you could only watch up to 5 (if I recall correctly) videos a month for free which is ridiculous. I had stopped using it for months and I recently opened it again to find that you can’t even USE the app for free. You have to have a subscription. This was the last straw and I have deleted the app. It used to be one of the best but sadly they just care about the money now. I will be using Tasty from now on. ✌🏽

Disappointed. The app itself has several issues, it plays an awful noise when you pause a video, and half of the time, the videos don’t even match the recipes. More recently, Tastemade has become greedy. Almost all of the videos and recipes are now “premium” and require a monthly subscription. The few recipes I enjoyed now cost money and I can no longer access them. I am very disappointed and no longer willing to use this app.

Self Care. I’ve been following TasteMade for quite sometime on both SnapChat and watching on AppleTV. I can never get enough of the videos and stories you offer. Laura Miller got me hooked and now I’ve officially subscribed. It’s a great subscription and service. I have been cooking now with fresher ingredients and also learned to cook freely without recipes. 5 recipes a month!? Are you joking?!. Honestly, Tastemade has some great recipes but making me pay to see the rest is ridiculous!! I'm not going to be paying for your recipes, especially since we live in a world where a lot of things have to be paid for with money we don't have! I can find awesome, perfectly good recipes that I don't need a video for, on other recipe apps/websites for free. You can make perfect good money off of ads. Congratulations, I'm never using your site.

Rush to Plus. Immediately after viewing a few of the beautiful recipes on Snapchat I was prompted to download the app. I was very pleased with the many dishes and even tried out a few. However, the app does not offer as bountiful a palette of foods than others, yet rushes users to purchase the Plus version after a trial for one week. I will admit that the app is great for a bit, but then it reveals its true self, a tease, that reaches for its users’ wallets after a bit of experience.

Used to love it. This subscription & 5 free video a MONTH bs destroyed the app i would’ve picked this over tasty a few months back but now every video you watch has an ad even if the video is 1min long the subscription is pushed to much i was fine in the beginning when videos where locked for subscription only but now they dont guve you the option to not have it i rather pay for the app upfront in itunes then get annoyed everytime i click on something

Not worth it.. The recipes are nice but it's annoying to have to pay to see most of them. There are plenty of recipes online and on other apps that are free. I don't understand why I would have to pay to look at recipes. Top chefs are not the ones cooking these dishes so it's not worth the money. I really liked the app before they started charging for views but I'm deleting it because I can find better ones that offer free content.

Tastemade. Never could get it to work. Between Apple and Tastemade. What a nightmare. I’m pretty sure they are charging me for at least two accounts. One through Apple (don’t bother. The 2.99 monthly is worse than the free site. You barely get access to anything) One through Tastemade at 4.99 a month. Except although it took my payment info, I don’t have an account that I can find. Won’t email me a password reset either. Although I shouldn’t need to since I saved it all through my iPhone. But still Tastemade says it doesn’t know me. Nope I’m done. I’ll call my bank and block payment. Waste of time. Huge waste of time.

Can’t Save over a certain amount. Ok I understand you to be premium or upscale for the food app department but the fact that I haven’t opened my Tastemade app in over 6 months and I randomly opened it the other day to see that I can’t save over 10 recipes! I mean my Gawd! Why only 10! That’s not fair. I’m sorry but there are plenty of other apps and websites that are free that let me save unlimited recipes. I just truly think 10 saved recipes is just a slap in the face! And for me to pay for a membership when I’m not getting any merchandise or a monthly cookbook is absurd.

Terrible. I would agree with other viewers that it’s terrible. Every single recipe you click on, you are forced to watch a video. Why can’t I just see the ingredients and the recipe? Who is going to make a recipe based off a video? I get it your videos are all over Facebook, I get that portion and why you’d want to have the videos. But you still need to read the recipe. The application should give you the recipe first and if you’d like to watch the video or link the video on Facebook or something like that yes. I need to see a list of ingredients and I’d like to read it. Yes you can see the recipe, but after a video always starts up. Maybe it should be the other way around? Look at the recipe, and click a button to view the Video if that’s what you want.

where are the recipes. maybe i missed something but i downloaded this whole app for one recipe and it wasn’t there

Best App!. This app has everything you need to make yummy food! So helpful and the videos are great! You can also watch all episodes of 'tiny kitchen' :)

Pointless. There are no recipes. It only has cooking shows behind a pay wall. There’s better content on YouTube for free.

Say bye to a majority of your users. This is very disappointing, I loved using this app to find recipes for FREE. Today I went on the app and it told me that I had been logged out, I tried to sign in and it told me that my email was not associated to the app. I clicked start a free trial and it told me that I would have to pay monthly. What happened to being free? The app WAS great to use, why couldn’t it have stayed like it was with the option to use the app for free with SOME missing features not all. This is so disappointing!

It's going downhill.. When I first downloaded Tastemade, it needed to be improved and it did. It became excellent. You were able to search for recipes and save your favourites! However, in the last few updates, they've started to push for a subscription. Which is not the reason I downloaded this app. I can't save recipes that I would like and they don't update the videos as often as they used to. Tastemade was good but needed improvement. As the "improvements" came along, things started to go downhill.

Is the save button just for esthetic?. I cannot save recipes. Your save button is useless

Disfunctional app. There seems to be an overlap between videos. Two or more videos on the homepage automatically play and voice overlaps. I even tried to search for a video and play it, and i still could hear the other two videos playing. So i had three different voices overlapping.

Fantastic. I love this app so much, the recipes are amazing and easy to follow, and the videos themselves are incredibly relaxing to watch just for fun. I watch these videos everyday and absolutely love them. Fantastic job

Changes app completely and still charges!. The app changed from a recipe app to showing random food videos that don’t show recipes! They changed the app with no notice and still charging a premium for an app no one will use!

Love love love.. Love this app so much. It inspires me to create more delicious food! When I'm stuck on what to make for dinner I always check up on Tastemade all first. My favourite is Frankie Cooks! He's funny, entertaining and his videos are really educational with a cool twist!

More Recipes. It's a lovely app and the recipes available have been very nice to create in real life as well as easy I just want there to be more recipes available as well as a way to keep repeating one video.

So confusing. The layout of the app has no flow, which makes me reluctant to use. Also, almost 90% of the content is exclusive content which needs to be paid for with a monthly fee. Not worth the subscription Over all just bad

Easy to follow tasty recipes. Even if you are Master Chef challenged, most the recipes turn out ok, perhaps not always as visually appealing as they have been displayed but still good enough to present to those you want to spoil with a new found recipe.

OMG the best by far recipe app. A great app with Videos 😀 recipes are delicious and so easy to make but you can watch the video to make it easier. Perfect for everyone from a beginner to an experienced cook. Love it.

Yummy results. Before I had this cooking book my food tasted great but now it tastes fantastic. Cooking is my 10 year old hobby and my family loves my food now that I have this cook book. But it don’t have all the food I want to learn how to cook. 4 stars for me

PERSONALIZATION!!?. Come on, I am paying a small fortune for this subscription, I can save series but not episodes, real annoying. There is nothing special about this app right now, besides it being bloated with no user experience for the users. Definitely won’t renew if this doesn’t change, I will just go online or YouTube to get this info for free. This app doesn’t even show the recipes, I have to go to the website for that info and that is free, explain this to me please??

Videos not working. Half of the videos don’t work when I try to watch them even though I’ve subscribed monthly. It’s ridiculous. I’ve tried deleting and re downloading the app, closing and re opening, restarting my phone and nothing. There’s something wrong with the app, go to tasty instead they have a more solid structure

Not accurate. The intro on Facebook said the specific recipe would appear after I downloaded the app. It did NOT. Delete!

Peacan cheeskecake recipe is messed up. The video to the ingredients to the instructions are all messed up. Every thing is telling me something different. I want my money back for the ruined cheesecake pecan pie recipe. Sham on you, you wasted my money. Please fix this

Disappointed. If I could rate this app zero stars I would. This app used to be my go to for all things cooking. I stopped using it for almost a year, and I come back to find out that they’ve started charging to watch videos. The only reason why it has such high ratings is because of how good it used to be a year ago, and that everything was free. Their content on Snapchat isn’t even good anymore, and that’s how I discovered them. Just utterly disappointed in everything from Tastemade.

Needs a lot of work. This app needs a lot of work. The search function is very basic.. it does not scroll back to the top after you’ve scrolled down and input a new search term. The video is not adjusted properly for my screen (only work in landscape). The app stops responding mid-video often. I have to force restart the app several times. Overall, it’s a good idea with good videos.. but it needs A LOT of work. Whoever developed this should be ashamed of themselves. It’s ugly and runs terribly.

Taking $$ too far. 5x 60 second clips a month or pay 7.99 a month... I can watch you tube for free from other channels... it’s fair to have some premium content for $$ but this is just silly

Every 2 seconds ad's pop up can't watch a video. Terrible app, ad's pop up literally 2 seconds into playing video and bounce from one ad-video to another literally haven't watched one full video. Legit terrible.

Weird sounds. I haven’t tried to make anything yet, but whenever I’m on the app a weird static sound pops up every few seconds even when my volume is off. I closed the app and it stopped, so I know that’s where it’s coming from. The static noise is just kinda weird and annoying.

TOO GOOD. I love all these recipes! Tried a couple and I was not disappointed! Y’all are just 🤗

Glitchy AF. Some nice recipes, sure, but the app is insanely frustrating. Trying to get a recipe that is only available in a video with 4 recipes. But only one of the recipes was actually available. The app froze and had to be shut down multiple times within a few minutes.

Not worth the money .. I enjoyed this app a lot and got quite a few recipes off of it until they started doing the ‘ 3 videos ‘ per month and then you have to pay in order to view more , then I immediately deleted it . I’ll stick with Tasty, they don’t ask for money to watch a 60 second clip on how to cook certain foods.

Doesn't log in on Apple TV. Unfortunately this doesn't log in on the Apple TV no matter how many times their QR code is attempted. Not a great experience.

Dislike New Format. I LOVE tastemade. I love to cook at home and I receive so much inspiration from the cooks. HOWEVER, I can't stand the new update of the app. I hate the format and I hate that if I tap the screen accidentally, it'll bring me to a different video. Its especially hard to watch a video when I'm actually cooking. Before, I could easily pause the video while I'm working on a step. Now, its not as easy and I'll often accidentally tap the screen with my floured or sticky or greasy hands. I wish they hadn't changed the format at all. The old app was fantastic and extremely user friendly!

Recipes are awesome. Love the recipes, although even though you pay for a subscription you don’t get the links to the recipes with instructions. I have to watch each step on video while I make the recipe I want. That part is a downfall to this app.

Refreshing Television!. I love the Tastemade App. There is so much free content available once I got a feel for it I decided to subscribe and the low cost is absolutely worth keeping it on my Apple TV 24/7! No commercials!!!!!!

I love Tastemade but am disappointed. I used to love this app. There were all kinds of ideas and helpful videos for cooking. Over the last few updates it has gotten harder and harder to watch videos. Now everything is subscription based and expensive. My once favorite app is now my most frustrating one.

Awful update. I used to go on Tastemade every day to watch the videos, but this update is the absolute worst. Honestly used to be one of my favorite apps. Can’t watch any of my favorite people anymore unless they have a specific show, can’t see my saved recipes unless I pay and I can’t even search for recipes anymore. For sure deleting this app.

Seems cool, actually super mediocre. There is no point using apps like this. When I first downloaded this app it looked so cool, so many recipes, most with videos. It is a complete scam though, every recipe I wanted to look at required a monthly or yearly subscription. Just go old-school and buy a cookbook, as that is actually more useful and cheaper. Or just use the internet.

Sad. I used to LOVEEEE this app I would click on one recipe, be able to watch it and then swipe for the next one, but now I have to manually tap on every recipe and there’s an ad before every one. As soon as the ad pops up I don’t even want to watch the video. I used to use this app everyday, to watch the shows or get inspired, but now with the new update I just want to delete it.

It has changed too much. I used to love this app for looking up easy, new, step by step recipes and ideas for cooking but now it’s a streaming service??? I’m very disappointed that I will have to find a new app to get recipes from. Not easy to navigate and has changed so much that after having not used it in a while I went to check out some recipes and I’m now deleting it.

Weird noise!!!. When i open the Tastemade app my phone starts making a weird noise. I tough maybe it was because i was charging the phone but i removed the charger and it was still their. I had to close the app and the noise disappeared. Also i loved Tastemade before they did the “plus” update. Now you can only see 2-3 videos without paying. But good thing their is still the app Tasty 😊

Bring back the old tastemade!. So I have had the tastemade app since the beginning, but ever since they started making all of the recipes “premium,” I just don’t enjoy it anymore. After the most recent update I noticed that literally every single video is blocked for the month after you view 5... Sadly I think it’s time to delete the app that I once could spend hours on:(

It’s OK...but. I wish you had an option to choose categories! Like a literal button where each recipe is organized by product (like chicken, beef, easy dinners, hard dinners, etc). Do that and you’ll have 5Stars! Also...cut back on the chef dialogue! I wanna see food! Not hear chefs talking (unless to explain a complex or unorthodox step in the recipe).

No recipes measurements. How do I find out how much of each ingredient for each recipes. All I see are videos of how they cook. What are the measurements You need to use. AKA 1/2 cup flour. How many once of milk etc. Please help.

They were doing really good until.... They were doing really good with their app until they decided to throw in a bunch of restrictions with the new membership garbage...you probably aren’t going to listen to some “dumb” 14 year old developing a passion for something other than video games and my phone but I really hate this new membership crap and I’m deleting the app and finding a better app that has FREE ACCESS TO ALL RECIPES.

:/. I’ve had this app for a couple months and I love it sooooo much. All the sudden, half of the videos that I click on won’t play. They just pull up a white screen of nothing. It makes it really frustrating to use the app. Hope this gets fixed soon and is back to the good ole Tastemade.

Gr8 app. Not only can I get a show and tell for a meal it's also entertaining and sometimes educational I probably look at this 3-4 times a week I've made many of the receipts wish I had more time to C😁😁K

Horrible update. Hi tastemade team, you’ve ruined your app. I used to love watching the 20 second videos. Now all I see is 60 min shows? You’ve lost the real intent of this app, and the reason many of us downloaded the app, which was to watch easy recipes. Really disappointed and from reading the other recent comments I see others are as well. Bad business decision on your part..

Not worth it anymore. This app use to be amazing you could look at almost any recipe free and continually go back to it, now you only can view 5 videos a month so if you want to make something you saw you use another free video watch or you have to wait till next month again. Now they want you to pay to have access to what use to be completely free. It’s not worth the money.

horrible.. I tried looking for a dessert recipe and almost all the recipes were labeled as plus. they took advantage of the concept of paying for membership to the point where it completely discourages you, because you have to make sure the recipe you want to make is for free and isn’t plus.

Loved but.... I loved this app when I fist go it because I didn’t have to screenshot anymore recipes which took up storage on my phone. But now you have to pay to watch every single video and it is so annoying I an sooo disappointed. I am going to delete the app it’s has no use to me now.

Save Button Needs Fixing. The app is amazing BUT it’s hard for me to save the recipes I want to make. I go to my already saved recipes and I can save & unsave as mqny recipes as I can but when I want to add a new recipe it won’t let me save. My phone isn’t broken, actually it’s brand new & I tapped a bunch of times & it STILL doesn’t work. Please . fix. it .

Tastemade is THE BEST. Tastemade is amazing it has helped me cook meals for mg mom when she is to tired from working in the emergency room and being a single mom so I like to help her put by making the meals some times

So disappointed. I’m sooo disappointed with this app now :( it used to be my favorite place to find recipes and I loved watching the short videos but now they changed it and it’s all “episodes”with people talking. Also there are like barley and recipes on there and if you do find one you like you have to fast forward through a 50 minute video to find it.

Nice. I wish there was a pause at the end of each video with the ingredients needed for each recipe, I have to watch the video several times to get the list myself.

Not worth money. At first I was so excited for this app and all the new videos and content I could watch. Once I started exploring, it took less than five minutes for the content to be blocked because they wanted me to pay a subscription for it. Sorry but you can’t expect people to pay for something that they already have access though, for free, through different platforms. Deleting the app.

Money suckers. I used to love scrolling and looking at all sorts of different recipes just for fun. Now everything is either “premium” not not even about cooking. Please stop trying to squeeze as much money out of people that genuinely enjoy the app. Now I can only watch 5 free videos a month? I don’t even WANT to leave a star. Couple months ago i found the best banana bread recipe from Tastemade, I saved the website to have for future baking days. Well I recently went to make banana bread with this recipe only to find I couldn’t access THIS recipe without paying. Not watching a video or anything I had to PAY to have access to this recipe. The fact that you HAVE pay in order to even look at recipes is awful.

This is ridiculous.. At first I loved the Tastemade app and being able to not only have the recipe but be able to see how to do it. I’m new to cooking and it was a big help. Over time I could watch less and less videos because I didn’t have plus or premium. Now I can only watch 5 videos for free every month. This is ridiculous.

Functions ok. It defaults to show the recipe video automatically instead of the recipe. It also refreshes to the main page constantly. I take screenshots of the recipes. Otherwise I am constantly searching for it again, and this is sometimes difficult in the middle of a recipe.

Not entertaining & bad userface. I got this app hoping to see more food/recipe videos outside of Snapchat since that is marketed more for children, and I was disappointed by this app. A lot of simple videos are "locked" when I can simply view like-videos for free on food network, and the user face is completely awful. Very unorganized and chaotic.

Disappointed. Don’t wast your time with this app, When I found out that tastemade was an app I was so excited, so I opened up the app and watched a couple videos when something popped up saying that I watched my five free videos for the month! I would not recommend this app to anyone because you need to pay to watch the videos. Overall I’m not very happy.☹️

what happened to tastemade?. I haven’t used Tastemade in a while, but when I come back it wants you to pay for this recipe and that one. The whole new plus thing is ridiculous. You can’t just let me see all the recipes and all of a sudden decide I have to pay for them now. Get your sponsor videos and stop trying to take our money.

Not worth it..... I do love the recipes on Tastemade, however as far as apps go, paying 7.99 a month for unlimited saves is absolutely ridiculous. There are plenty (and much better) free apps out there or ones that cost much less. The free version of this app only allows you to save 10 videos/recipes...EVER! Not 10 a day or so on, 10 period. Deleting this money grab app immediately!

Missing the old Tastemade. What happen to the app.. I was a subscriber from the very begging.. I went to find my favorite glam recipe “Brazilian Flan” and nothing came up on the app.. please fix this issues.. i will cancel my subscription don’t loose sight of what you got loyal costumer for.. this is not a good channel this is a recipe app that have some shows..

Go to app for singles. All the recipes are super easy and the videos makes it a fantastic visual of what the end result should look like. If you wanna impress, scroll through all the recipes.

why? does? it? do? that???!!. i’m just trying to watch a video about steak and cheese pockets. sounds delicious, huh? well i THINK so, except that i can’t actually watch the video because it automatically moves on to the next video five seconds in and i can’t stop it. hard to navigate, buggy and overall a huge disappointment. this is coming from a long time fan of tastemade. don’t waste your time!

It use to be good. They blew up and now want money, ads everywhere and a limit of 5 clips a day, they want $8 a month for content that we can find easily free on other apps or websites... keep the primium content to those who want it, i was fine with the simple mediocre free content which now i cant even enjoy. The update is great!. I love the Tastemade app for finding new recipes and now with the new update I can watch the video and save/read the recipe at the same time which makes it so easy!

Really good at first until.... When I first got this app I was totally stoked! The recipes were awesome, and I loved the videos. But once I started saving recipes I found a problem, you can only save 10 recipes at a time unless you have premium. This is a big issue for frequent cooks like me, that’s why I gave it 3 stars.

Independent television. I really like the diversity, creativity, and world view I find at Tastemade. Roy Chows series on the future of food and raising awareness, Frankie showing you can eat great on a budget both make this a great 20 dollar investment.

Tastemade. I love to watch dessert recipes and know them or just see them and I got Tastemade to see those kind of recipes one I love cooking and two I love looking at and eating desserts but all the dessert recipes or all of the good recipes are “Plus” so I deleted the app and I hope you make less premium and “ Plus “ recipes or non at all. I have tasty and I can look at any recipe I want for free not for money it is a waste of money to buy something I can get some where else for FREE!!!!!!!!

Disappointed. I loved this app until it updated a couple of days ago! All my saved content is now gone and the new look is just confusing. Also, I paid for the yearly subscription and now I’m finding out that there is tastemade plus?! This is very disappointing, is there a way to find the recipes that were previously saved?

Was good. I’ve used this app a couple of times when I tried making something new, but they’ve changed it into a video streaming service and locked most of it behind a subscription pay wall. There are no ads, but you can find recipes for free on the web. Here, they’ve switched out recipes for videos and made them harder to find. Basically, this app is entirely useless.

Well....It’s okay..... 😕. I like this app, but their should be a actual recipe that goes along with the video because Its hard to make something based off a video. Also, the videos don’t even tell you the measurements of the ingredients or how long to cook it.

Deleted and Moved On. Upset that this app now has a subscription pay wall. I used this app pretty frequently because it was easy to follow recipes. Now from what I can tell everything has gone towards “episodes” and no longer those mini recipe shorts. So I’ve deleted until they change it back and went to Yummly. Doesn’t have those cool videos but hey I’ve got recipes

A subscription for recipes??? Bleck.. I’ll give it to ya’, the recipes look absolutely delicious but it seems like 85% of this app is PLUS only, and I’m just trying to find new recipes to try on my picky husband and 11 month old daughter. I’ll just stick to Tasty since it’s FREE, and it looks as simple as this app w/o needing to spend money on a subscription that literally only gives me access to recipes I could probably google for less.

I’m a paid subscriber and can’t login on my iPhone!. I paid for Tastemade+ (after already shelling out for what is now referred to on their site as “Tastemade Legacy”—slick move, guys). I was able to use the app on my iPad and laptop, but the app won’t let me sign in on my iPhone—it keeps looping back to the “sign in via Google or sign in with email” page. It was the same nightmare with the Legacy subscription. Unbelievable.

Pay for what?. I think it’s pretty stupid to make people get a subscription to look at recipes that they could easily find elsewhere and will since this app is asking for money. Pinterest is free! Why would I not go there instead?? I thought it was cool say some things on Snapchat so I got the app but I will be deleting. Google or Pinterest can tell me the same things no charge. Should really reconsider the whole charging thing.

Where Did This Come From?. I always knew there were videos that required a subscription, but now it feels like EVERY video requires a subscription. With only 5 free videos a month now, it just doesn’t seem worth it. I really like Tastemade, but I might just have to go elsewhere. I know I’m not the only one who has noticed this. What the hell is this update. I’ve had this app for years and used it pretty often up until recently when they updated the app. There is now no recipes only shows. It seems like they ditched the original idea behind the app in favor of creating a streaming service for cooking shows. If I wanted to watch cooking shows I could just turn on food network. I hate this update and I’m sad to see the old app go.

Disappointing Updates. I haven’t used the app in awhile, and I went on to look for a recipe, like I used to when I first downloaded the app. And after updating it, the entire app is changed completely. There are only episodes and seasons as if it were a television streaming platform. I used to love the ease of the ingredients lists and short one recipe videos. Now I will have to look for a new recipe idea app. Very sad and disappointing :(
