Great potential, just one wish..... I’m done with FB, Twitter an Instagram. I’ve had Vero for 2 days and have been playing with all the different features. I brought 5 family members on board so far. I love the flow of the app. I love the speedy responses I see on here on the reviews. What I would really like Vero to consider is an option to just post a nonphoto, nonbook, nonmusic, etc, status option. Sometimes I just like to say stupid stuff to my friends and family like “You’ll never guess what happened on the farm today...”. Just stupid random stuff makes my silly family happy. 😊 If this option appears, ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Cool Concept, Odd UI. I’m not going to get into how much I hate Instagram, from the ads to the tracking, it’s just annoying. But everyone I know is on there, and it’s difficult to no use it from time to time. So, this app is my favorite replacement I’ve found so far. I’m going to attempt to root it into that of my connections, so Instagram gets quickly replaced. The only problem with this app is the UI. While I’m in love with the concept, the UI feels oddly closed off, whereas something like Instagram feels really ‘open’. I get it, those bigger social media sites have had around 7-15 years to develop their interfaces (I’d say Instagram’s has gone backwards, though), but I think some tweaking is necessary to get this app really going. Once again, great app! Great ideas. Odd interface.

Love this app, a few suggestions(insight). This app is great because it’s more true to its purpose and feels nothing like a super controlled social experiment that *that other* platform has become. If you guys add comment controls for users so that they can have the option to keep their page and comment section positive and if you invite people from Instagram to use vero, maybe even offer a day mode where the layout can turn lighter, your app will really take off, because right now people are getting tired of using the same 3 platforms and all of their really bad updates. I have a huge following on IG and I would love to promote vero because I’m really tired of Instagram but my concern would be the trolling my page would get just because naturally that comes with the territory lol. anyway, this app is really great, the fact that it doesn’t have a generic feel is what stands out most to me

So Close.... I want to love this app. I mean who isn’t sick of Facebook’s dominance in social media? Vero’s app is wonderful for media like photo and video—the presentation is beautiful. High res. Pinch to zoom. I enjoy the app. However... 1) Vero doesn’t seem to evolve or grow. They seem content with what they’ve built—it’s been essentially the same platform for years. I left and came back to find the same missing features everyone’s been begging for. The same few accounts being promoted. The same comments about people leaving and coming back. No partnerships with established artists. It’s a ghost town and nobody seems to be motivated to build it further. 2) I’ve seen a ton of requests over the years for text-only posts, and I’ve seen Vero respond with “we’re looking into it.” Yet years later, no text posts. It’s a very common, basic feature that’s needed for a “do-it-all” social app. Should I post a cheap, irrelevant photo when I want to write? We’re all cheering for this app’s success, but it’s frustrating to accept that this appears to be a missed opportunity. I have no idea why Vero would not make a move right now considering Facebook’s brand is so tarnished. People are begging for options, but Vero falls short IMO and doesn’t seem up to the task in its present state.

it could be so much better. *Update: thanks to vero team, app is working greate right now. it's so smooth and i can't see bugs like before. at the end, my problem with support team is completely solved and they answer and support so much better now. here's your 5 star. i have been using this app for one mouth. at first it was all good. app was working smooth and fast. i have sended some emails in that time to support team and they have answered very fast. i rated this app 5 in that time because I really loved it. but now i have to change my rate to 1 star because 2 big problems: first is the app. I'm using the last version and still i see freezing screen usually. so many lags and bugs and it's really annoying. second is support team. they didn't answer my emails and it feels really bad. it shows that maybe they really don't care about users.

Tried to sign up... But it always just says ‘reconnecting’ at the top, and also ‘unable to connect to server’. My internet is working. So maybe their server is down or the app has a bug. Edit: I downloaded the phone, iPad and desktop app for windows. All 3 did the same thing. I’m living in Vietnam currently and out of curiosity I wondered if that had something to do with it. So I tried to sign up using a VPN through the US and it worked! Anyway I can only access the app while the VPN is on. Just a heads up if it helps anyone out there or helps tech support in anyway.

See the potential. First and foremost I definitely see the potential in this app! But there are definitely some kinks that need to be worked out here and there as well. I feel like it the UI isn’t bad, but it’s not attention grabbing. Just very functional. I’m not getting “hooked” on scrolling through my timeline like I would if I was scrolling through IG or Twitter. Also the hashtag suggestions always get wonky on me. Half the time I start typing in a hashtag, the suggestions that it gives me are misspelled versions which is kinda strange. If it isn’t the misspelled version being suggested then it’s not showing a suggestion at all for the most part. With all of that being said, I still give it 4 Stars. I really how they streamlined the sharing is (from books you’re reading, to music you’re listening to, to links for other content, etc). I also really like the content being put out on Vero now too. Definitely some talented content creators out there doing their thing!

Switching to Vero. I decided to move to Vero after years of frustration with Instagram , I’m a co-owner of a big photography hub on Instagram and got tired of having my pages banned for no specific reason, then spending weeks and even months trying to get the pages back. Sometimes I’m lucky and get it sometimes the pages are lost forever. So far Vero is being wonderful, it’s very easy to manage, the quality is 100% better and no spam. The only point I do not like is having to use the email for the login. It’s perfect for personal use but for hub owners this will not work well as we constantly get new volunteers in our teams and having too many people knowing the email may give us too many problems later on. If this is resolved and one can login with the user name and password instead of email I can see many hubs leaving Instagram for Vero.

it’s very quiet in here. it seems that Vero caters only to the famous or the loudest members. i find it difficult to find other traditional medium artists; such as, plein air and still life painters. they seem to be nonexistent in Vero’s space because they’re the least promoted. i also find it difficult to include share options in my website as one could share to twitter, or instagram. the option is nonexistent. update in response to developer: it sounds like a competition and that doesn’t sound very social; and the blog link you provided is broken. are you a human or are you a bot responding?

Instagram’s Replacement FINALLY!!. As a photographer, Instagram has basically become a dead platform so I’ve been searching for an app that I can replace the dreaded and terrible Instagram with. Ironically enough, I heard about VERO from a facebook group member and decided to give it a try. Overall I like the platform much better than IG. It has a sleek layout and design and simple enough functions. I like it for all the ways it’s NOT Instagram. Most notably no ads and NO ALGORITHMS!!! God that is so refreshing you have no idea. I also like that it doesn’t make you crop your image and how there are no stupid “stories”, reels, or shopping function. This platform seems to be much more photo centric if you want it to be that, but it offers so much more than just that. It’s got a great communities for just about any interest you can imagine. All that being said, I think it can use just a couple improvements. One, I think it’s weird that you can’t change your handle name. You’re basically stuck with the one you choose when you sign up. Two, when you edit a post, you can’t change the location. I accidentally selected the wrong location but couldn't change it once it posted. Not a huge thing but it would be nice to edit that kind of thing. I’m looking forward to exploring more of this app has to offer and what it can do for my photography.

Quest & Issues.. To begin with. This app is so so much useful and worthwhile. Better than Twitter, Instagram, and other social apps. By and large, I wonder what’s happening to the app Vero. Firstly; Since I signed up for an account initially it worked fine but once I start exploring the app it turns out the app is somewhat very slow in functionality. Secondly; it has these network connection issues (loading for couple minutes over & over), thirdly, Was there any sort of cancellations of the app in 2018 ? Literally, so many accounts was last used in 2018. Few accounts are operational. In brief, if there’s any way of inviting those people back online please do. To keep them informed Vero is back. Also, I’d suggest Vero includes deleting off messages from both ends. Just like instagram, simple and very effective. WhatsApp do, Facebook does too. The master of all is IG. Once unsend from your end. It goes completely without trace. That’s beautiful. Lastly; I’d like Vero to improve the functionality of the app because it seems too large. If made a little bit lighter, it will help. To the programmer. Nice job 🙂 but please try to work on the above issues. Thanks

Best platform hands down. Saying that this is the best platform is underrated, what else as a photographer or a hobbyist to have a platform where you can share your talent with among the best people, the best community that are supportive and cool. You have this wonderful app ad free, you can use it on your iPhone, desktop, and even iPad. Yes iPad. Your photos are not driven by fake engagement and algorithms that don’t make sense, but you drive the picture with your own effort, shared to all, to see and engage in it. And you can get the best resolution for your pictures, and support landscape as well. The list is so long, and I really hope this app stays clean from spammers and scammers. And if i would add one thing to the app, that would be 2 step verification to secure your account. Thank you vero team for this wonderful app. Best of luck

A beautiful, pure social media experience. I’ve resentfully used Instagram for the past few years because there were no suitable alternatives, but have always been unhappy with the data mining, inherent privacy encroachment, etc present in their business model with such a heavy emphasis on advertisement. The platform has only gotten worse the past few years as the algorithm has prioritized showing you content from people you don’t even follow. Vero on the other hand is a beautifully designed app where the power is returned to the user. You’re not a product, the app is the product. Your work is shown to all of your followers chronologically, and at full-resolution, and it has a genuine community of creators who are passionate about their art and sharing. There’s so much promise here as the app is still in its infancy, but it’s safe to say not only is it a suitable alternative for Instagram, but in many ways, it is better than Instagram. I’m excited to see what new features are coming and how the platform matures as people continue to join.

Love it!. I was absolutely sick and tired of gaining thousands of followers on other platforms just for my page to disappear over night or be suspended with every post I made like FB and loosing so much work just because those platforms don’t like a certain plant. I wish more people would join this platform so there is more traffic but I do notice a lot of the “growing” community is starting to join this platform. The picture quality of the posts are amazing. So far, I’m a big fan. Whether they start sensoring posts or not is to be determined but for now, if your a canna grower and tired of the unfair discrimination I highly suggest joining this platform.

Issues Resolved. Updated review: took a couple months off of Vero, came back and very impressed by how quickly the team worked to resolve a lot of issues. So far, Ive been loving the real interactions, recommendations from others, and just the true feeling of collaboration and community. I’ve dropped all other social media platforms because I’m sick of the bots, fake commenters, people who follow and quickly unfollow for my followers— so weird, btw, and just complete disconnect or overly competitive. With Vero, I haven’t had such experiences. There’s a few thirsty self-made male/female models that play the IG games, but nothing too excessive. I’ve been preaching about this app to all my friends and coworkers so much that they think I work for Vero- hire me! Lol Old review Feb 2018: I’m trying to give this app a shot but since downloading it, I’ve been receiving nothing but “Internal service error” messages. I was on the app for only 10mins and it drained my battery from 90% to 60%. I’ll try to utilize the app a few more times before giving up since simple searching or displaying everything in the dashboard area takes forever or never loads. Hopefully this app will get it together because it’s a great concept just a faulty system.

Almost there!. I gave Vero a 4/5 stars because although not perfect it has a tremendous amount of potential moving forward. I absolutely love how the app is true and to the point! No sponsors or ads or anything bombarding your screen, you see the people you follow and their content and the content you actually want to see! My photos upload in the quality that does not get dumbed down the way it does on IG and it’s very refreshing to finally see that Vero also has a fully functioning iPad app! Quite impressive! I hope this platform continues to grow tremendously throughout the coming years and hopefully NOT make the same mistake IG made. If you’re looking for a IG replacement and to go back to the good old days give this one a shot.

Very close to everything I’ve been looking for. Not a big review writer, but I’m excited about this app. I’ve only just started to use it, but it seems to have everything I’ve been looking for ever since leaving the Path app several years ago. I would like to be able to post a text only message rather than being forced to add some kind of media (photo, book, music, etc). I’ve taken to typing an input in another app (Hanx Writer...an excellent typing app) and posting a screenshot. Also would like the app team to consider multiple profiles. Path didn’t have this, but I’ve enjoyed this on Twitter as it allows a bit more control of my streams. Happy to see the app is well supported (recent updates and developer responses to reviews). I look forward to finding out what it can fully do and how it further develops.

New user. Like others I’m unhappy with what Facebook has done to Instagram, after noticing people posting pics of their Vero profile on Instagram, I decided to check it out and joined. The interface is a bit confusing as what to do at first, I had to ask a friend all ready on it how do I view images of wildlife and how to find other wildlife photographers to follow. It would be much better if there was an explore page that would show images I’m interested in viewing, in my case wildlife images by photographers who I could also follow if I choose too. Searching only by hashtags is just too time consuming. I’ve heard Vero will become subscription soon, I hope that isn’t true as I would just quit Vero in that case. I understand businesses need to make money but I don’t think a subscription is the way to go. Personally I don’t mind ads as long as they aren’t intrusive. If there’s one thing Instagram does right it’s integrating ads into a user’s feed like any other post. If Vero does that I think users would accept that over a subscription or a tiered system, subscription vs free account just don’t bombard users with ad after ad after ad like Instagram does. Just my two cents for what it’s worth 🤷🏻‍♂️

Confused. There were recommendations from other social media accounts to try this app instead of others because of the privacy issues. For the most part the app was easy to install...however I’m confused about a few things. 1. The app took so long to access my contacts I had to skip that step & now can’t find out how to see if my contacts are using VERO. I’ve already gone into my settings to allow VERO access to my contacts but it won’t update. 2. I guess if this is a platform to replace FaceBook...why does VERO have a link to their FB page & why does VERO show a video on how to post on FB using VERO....I might as well just keep using Instagram since it’s owned by FB. I’ll try to keep an open mind but it’s looking iffy....

Authentic. Most authentic social media experience I have had in years. I have met people who have became incredibly close friends. The connections I’ve made on the platform have been wonderfully astounding. This app is already amazing and they just continue to improve it. The customer service is mind blowing. The response time is usually within a few hours. The level of competency is top notch. Sincere friendliness from them. I love the vision the company has for the app and how they continue to move forward towards it. Simply look at the famous users of the app and how they, themselves, interact with it. It helps you see the level of trust they have in Vero. There is sincerely no other platform like this one.

A platform for creators. I found out about Vero from a few different photographers and YouTubers that were recommending the platform. Having recent frustrations with the algorithms on Instagram and the image compression on Twitter, I decided to give it a shot. And I’m so glad I did. The platform is straightforward and is structured in a way that gives content creators the control over audiences and growth. There are multiple ways to navigate the different topics you want to see and you can customize your own post audience. I’ve been a big fan of this app and have been posting as often as I can to stay engaged. Highly recommend.

Beautiful App - Discovery Needs Work. I’ve been an avid user for about a year now. Vero was a LOT of fun to explore and dive into at first. I’ve also found that the connections I’ve made on the app have been a lot more meaningful. That being said, without algorithms to serve new content to you regularly, I’ve found that my Vero use has slipped to like once a week. Their editorial content is really cool - I just feel like they need to update it daily in order to keep things engaging. Gonna keep supporting the app because I love it, but it’s not going to kill Meta or TikTok anytime soon.

Leaps Ahead Instagram. I love that this platform has much more meaningful content on it. I also appreciate that I can find creative content beyond photos and videos. IT IS ABSOLUTELY REFRESHING that complete strangers can find my work and like/comment on it. It’s been YEARS since that happened on Instagram. I would say the only downside is that navigating the interface is a little wonky, but if every other part of this experience is any indication of this apps commitment to creating a robust experience, I have no doubt this will improve with time.

my only complaint.. why is it that you can't post a thought without some sort of attachment? I know the goal is to be different than other platforms, but being able to express with words, alone, is kind of a necessary need in these type of apps. and I feel limiting that will limit the potential of the app. I was under the impression that this would be like a more seamless version of Twitter, without the ads and agendas and extra unnecessary stuff that just saps the fun out of networking. it's still a good concept. but I just don't see myself using this app often unless I'm missing the point update: hey how exactly do you link you're Vero address on other accounts? this platform for some serious potential.

New to Vero. I’m trying Vero because I am looking for a replacement for Path, which is shutting down. Our extended family had used Path for 5 years now to have a “private” social network, and it looks like Vero has similar possibilities. Compared to 4-5 other social networking apps I have tested, Vero’s level of polish, functionality, and stability is far ahead of any of the others! One thing I liked about Path that seems to be missing on Vero is the ability to create customized locations, such as “naming” our home so we can check in there, and so family can check in as well when visiting. The other glaring issue is that the app will NOT run on my iPad Pro. I understand that you might not create a separate iPad app, but I would still like to be able to use the phone app on the iPad! Meanwhile, I am getting all my extended family to download the Vero app and set up accounts. I hope that Vero will consider the two issues that I mentioned as they continue to make updates and improvements.

Noice. I absolutely love Vero. It’s clean and easy to use. I’ve been trying to convert my Facebook friends for years now! It has great potential. However, there are downsides that I find to be rather large. I wish there was a group functionality. It’s going to be hard for me to completely dive in if I’m unable to join some groups to get my daily meme fix. I think groups are a great way to meet new people. The biggest issue is that I can’t for the life of me understand why this app does not support text posts. It’s really odd that anything you post MUST be attached to a song, photo, link etc. That is a very frustrating aspect of the platform. Other than that though, very fun app and the music functions are phenomenal. The interconnection between the app and Apple Music are absolutely ahead of the game!

A nice app. After using it for about 2 months, I have come to the conclusion that it is all about sharing gorgeous photos, giving them 'hearts' to indicate you like/love the pictures, and maybe leave comments. That's it. If you cannot get your friends and family to download Vero, which I have not been able to, then you will find it gets boring very quickly because the private chat feature only works with people you 'friended' not people whose photo albums you 'follow'. Also, you cannot share things you like. Therefore it doesn't have that interactivity and sense of the unexpected encounter that makes a certain famous social media so enticing to use.

Super great App!. I learned to love this App. The amount of super great talented people that show there work on this app is incredible. I have found that everyone is also very willing to provide advice or assistance to help you become better at your area. Say photography or painting. The only complaint I have is one of censorship. I have seen that vero has increasing censored more art. I understand some items need to be censored. However, I have seen true art censored and some other very questionable items missed. I believe that in the acquaintance level or higher it should not be censored. Thank you!

Community. VERO is both an app and a community. As an app it solves so many of the problems with most other social platforms by giving its users full control over what they wish to see. You can post photographs, videos, links to movies, places, songs, and books, or a link to anything you wish. Users can then filter exactly what they wish to see and whom they wish to see. There is no algorithm predicting what you might wish to see. I especially love how well the app showcases the images so that you can see every image as the creator intended (I also love using the desktop app so that I can see a large view in my computer and really take in the whole experience of the image). There are no distracting ads. None. As a community— VERO truly shines. It has been a long time since I was part of a truly thriving community of creators eager to share and experience their work and the work of those they admire. I find myself looking forward to opening the app so that I can enjoy the work of the many talented photographers I follow and share my appreciation and take part in a dialog. When the Internet first began finding its way into the homes of many people on this planet, there was a feeling it would connect us. The VERO app facilitates that promise and the community manifests it.

New Vero User. I have now been using the Vero platform (via iPad and Apple MacBook Pro) and have thoroughly enjoy my experience this far. I consider myself to be a serious amateur photographer and was looking for a social media platform I could share my work with other like-minded people. I never liked posting my images to FB, IG or Twitter. The quality of the image always appeared to be very lackluster and you never knew whether the likes and responses were real or fake. Also just in viewing others work, you had to scroll thru tons of ads and irrelevant information that I found it to be quite a chore. So far with Vero, I am really enjoying this experience. The app is very user friendly, super easy to navigate and I love how Vero frames each image with very complimentary colors found in the posted picture. I also love the quality of users. Just very extremely sophisticated and top-notch talented artists sharing their work. Really look forward to growing my SM presence with Vero. Keep up the positive work Vero, and don’t lose site of what is currently making you a success.

Enjoying it so far.. With so many scammers & impersonators on Instagram, I’m decided to transition to Vero. Instagram doesn’t care no matter how many times I report an account pretending to be me. I like the they Vero had no algorithm and more importantly NO ADS. Also the verification process was simple as long as you have the necessary documents. They’re not gonna verify you because. It took a minute to figure out how to post & such, but all in all I like the platform. The only thing is not many people know about it which is a bummer, but I feel it’ll blow up soon.

Vero is better. Vero is so much better then the other social media options out there. There is no ads or annoying algorithms that make decisions for you. You see the images of people you choose, not a bunch of other crap you didn’t ask for. Most of the people on the site are not just there to get a bunch of followers. Instead Vero encourages meaningful conversation. The community of people are generally helpful. Vero makes it clear that they do not tolerate anti social behavior. I am on Vero to grow in skill and confidence as a photographer and it has proven to be a much better and more enjoyable option. My only wish is more of my family and friends would switch to Vero.

The BEST social media buy needs more users!!!. I absolutely LOVE Vero. I like that it’s pure chronological order and it’s aesthetically pleasing, like Instagram but with more than just photos. I would delete every single other social media and only use Vero if only more users were on it!! What are you waiting for? Advertise advertise advertise!! I don’t even remember how I found this app since I’ve been off and on it for a while, but I definitely haven’t heard advertisements. Only buzz was with the “scandalous” owner or whatever. Get some moderate celebs on it or something. Idk. But do SOMETHING please, because I really hate having so many social media accounts.

Potential to replace IG, but needs some tweaks.. Just recently downloaded VERO — I like the concept and different functions it offers like recommending movies/TV shows and lack of ads which I hope they never change. However, the layout needs to more be immersive and formatting needs to change. Get rid of the borders on posts in the feed when you’re scrolling so that they go to the edge of the screen. I like the ability to click on a photo/video to have it full screen or landscape with black borders to get a cinematic effect, but not having the post as large as the feed will allow kind of takes away from the experience. Also, reduce sizes of the content in the other borders like the very top menu and the size of the border that has the name of the poster. It doesn’t need to be that big and sacrifices space that could be going toward the actual photo/video/etc. Same goes for the comments text sizing and spacing — too much valuable space being wasted. Would also like end to end encryption for chats.

Some Suggestions. Vero has the potential to be the top dog in social media… unfortunately there is not many users and also there is a small retention problem. Vero could really do with finding a way to promote itself better whether it’s billboards, promoting on other social media, or having social media influencers talk about it. Regarding what I said about retention. The one shortcoming this app has within it is there isn’t a good “discovery” type page. Sure there is the “for vero” tab but it basically only highlights verified accounts. Also in the year of me using this app, I haven’t seen those highlighted accounts rotated out. But again there should be a discover type page that shows off regular accounts so more people could hopefully follow more accounts like there’s based on their own interest.

Brilliant Opportunity!!!. If you’d love to shift away from the standard paradigm and status quo Vero is the place to start. Living in an “Online” world has become nearly essential, and yet it’s not. Fortunately for us that must use the digital world, Vero has taken some major stances on what they’re willing to take part in. :) As someone who values conscious and intentional choices I Love the fact they’ve chosen Truth as their name. It’s one thing to be given a name, to intentionally choose one and then to use it for advancing the Truth that’s a whole other level of deliberate and intentional. So thank you, Vero! Thank you for taking a stand for what is True and for providing an online platform that isn’t here to “mine”, capture, steal, share, pillage simply to make billions of dollars off of us. The user experience is simple and easy to navigate, I have been using it both personally and corporately and it’ll remain a space that I feel comfortable with sharing things online. Quite possibly the best social network. First of all Vero has felt like a home for me since I joined back in 2016. Vero has an amazing community who understand that people are who they are and are not judged for choosing there colors. My name is Cicero, I have 4,300 followers and I’m verified on this app. Comparing this app to Instagram, it’s not even close. Vero crushes Instagram the only reason Instagram is considered good is because of the enormous amount of people on it, but that doesn’t mean they are good people. You are much more likely to find good people on this app. That is my review of Vero true Social. 10/10

Follower Limits / No Explanations. Vero “used to be” my favorite app. Loved the different levels of friendship you could establish and the user interface - and many more features. Mysteriously about a week or so ago, Vero has instituted a policy that you can’t have more than 2k followers. There was no warning or messages or reasons that I could find. I’ve checked T&C and their website. Some people are being messaged to reduce their follower count citing the reason that Vero feels like you can’t have a meaningful connection with more than 2k people. It would be really great is Vero could explain this, their logic, and this very arbitrary number. I would’ve been willing to pay for the app or pay for a higher tiered membership, but alas there has been zero communication. Sad. Vero could have reigned supreme over Insta. I see many of my friends leaving now. :-(

Wonderful but still needs improvements. I absolutely really enjoy using this app I have not had a social media in years until I found Vero. I met incredible new friends there and the photography community is incredible supporting. However, I wish this app had more opportunities for the photography business. Mostly all artists/Singers/friends/families are on Instagram and use it to promote their work and get discover. But not here on Vero. This app is just to share your work but nothing more. It doesn’t allow you to grow as an artist/photographer. In a way it feels lonely/apart from everyone else since none of my friends are here. I hope this app becomes more popular in the future and more people will join. ONE feature they should add is “ Stories “ like Instagram has. I really miss posting stories on my daily life but I cannot do that here. Hope to see Vero in another level soon.

Best of social world. I don’t normally write reviews. I had too this time. Vero gives you the best, to me, of both social worlds from IG and G+. I actually see folks I am following, and see photography which interests me most. When I look through my feed, those in my circles and who I follow, I see all their posts each day. Not whomever the algorithm chooses. You can look for specific interests, genres and or tags, to find what you like. Not what the program thinks you like. The Family of Vero is interactive and enjoyable, haven’t run across a troll yet, because they don’t show up on my feed. I choose who is in my circles and who I follow. I joined when it first started, and here a couple years after, I am on here full time. Dropped my IG accounts completely. I am hoping it continues ‘Add Free’, which is fabulous. For creative individuals and more, I believe its the best of the social worlds

The only social media worth having. Sick of instagram algorithms only showing hot chicks, that’s not what I use social for. I don’t need algorithms just a chromatic feed please. My followers are actually an asset on this platform because I can REACH them. Twitter thinks it knows what I like to see in my feed, it doesn’t, and now I just feel like I’m inside a programmers head as I scroll through it. I want my feed showing who I follow in the order in which they posted. Finally Vero does this right. Plus all this algorithm oriented social media is just AI manufacturing mass consciousness into being snowflakes. Hopefully vero stays free and obliterates these platforms.

Photo Picker needs work. All told this app does what it says on the tin. I can browse my VERO feed and, sometimes, post content of my own. Sometimes. I’m all in on Apple Photos and the iCloud Photo Library. Unfortunately, the VERO app doesn’t cope well with my “organized” Library. The app doesn’t respect the folder structure that I use to organize my albums and only shows me a subset of seemingly random albums in the Photo Picker. Some of the Albums displayed live at the root level of the library while others are buried two-three levels deep in folders. Some are brand new, others a decade old. No rhyme-or-reason that I can discern and, worse, there are images I want to share that I can’t access. At least Instagram shows me ALL my albums (in alphabetical order) so I can scroll for them. Better is the Photo Picker used by apps like Mighty Networks which provides a view identical to the Photos sidebar — Albums and Folders with all of their children within. Please fix this VERO. It’s off-putting to only be able to post images from my computer (at my desk) — especially given that I do much of my processing on iOS devices.

Great app, awesome social network. These days the app is working well. It is stable and fully functional. There is some room for improvement but do not be put off by some of the old negative reviews. The app presents images beautifully and is IMHO a more enjoyable experience than Instagram. The platform VERO itself is really great. Non of the advertising that plagues other platforms and you get to see all the posts from people you follow in the order they were posted. No selectivity algorithms. Also the level and quality of engagement I’m getting is really fabulous.

Quality!👌🏼. I have to say something about this app! I have been posting photos to Facebook and Instagram for years! And nothings feels more like a photo gallery than this app! Being able to post my photos to its full resolution where as most other apps degrade the quality is perfect! Feels like I have a place to finally post a social gallery! And I highly recommend to any other photographer out there! I wouldn’t change a thing about it! On a side note the interaction between people and admiring each others work is great as well! With out the worry of bots!! So I say thanks VERO for simply existing!

Definitely Recommended.. I tried to use VERO Application because other Social Network Apps are too strict by “just” Policy and Customer Service is slow and they just made costumer page and send me mail and it sounds like “go and find it by ME”. I’ sick of being treated like that. VERO is like a only my hompage more that common SNS. So I could post what I want, how I want. Most of all, Program is good. I can figure out it’s is well-made application. And categorization also one of benefit to use this application. So, I feel like finally I found application exactly what I want. The Aston Martin of Social Engagement. As a long time social media user (Twitter, Instagram Snapchat etc), I was hesitant about engaging in another medium that would be ‘tiresome’ after a month. Vero brings back social engagement the way it used to be. Without intrusive algorithms that Instagram has. When I make a post, it’s posted in chronological order for my friends to see. No program deciding which post is more relevant for someone else. And no ads pop up in your feed! There’s an elegance to Vero that make users feel they’re part of something special.

Love the app WAY BETTER THAN INSTA. I love the layout of the app and i just want to know how you could add a second acount onto Vero. I used to use instagram and got rid of it since it wouldn't let me update my accounts or get rid of accounts that a barely even used and it deleted the two main accounts that i had and plus intsa doesn't even have customer service, they don't care about their users. That's one of the main reasons why i switched to Vero since it has a way better platfrom and you are able to post photos on there rather than IG whichi is trying to be like Tiktok and make reels.

i love the idea of this app and fully supportive so writing a feedback. the layout is very all over the place, i want these to be sorted. like in simplest way. i want it to be simple like 10 year olds can play with this app. when i first saw the layout/ design for the app it felt very complex . i felt like i had to learn to use the app. it needs to be much more intuitive in the simplest way. that way i think this app could gain lots of users but now as i tried the app, its quite hard to get used to it. and more animations on the app!! it feels so stiff i know that its early verison of the app and from small startup but i want this app to be successful for real so u need to make users feel like home. hire me if u need help i want to be helped for real. this is now the chance of this app to grow instagram is dying. and true artists and creators are lost where to be connected and shared at this point. i want this app to be that

GREAT alternative to Instagram - just needs to add stories. Following many of the recent happenings in our nation, myself and many people I know have decided that we’ve got to break up the social media monopolies. Vero is a really great alternative to Instagram. Their selling line is that they’re “ad & algorithm free.” Vero is a great option for you If you are wanting to make a statement and help break up “Big tech.” If the developers are listening, it would be awesome if you would add two things. First, stories. Stories have become a huge thing on almost all social media platforms (including LinkedIn which, I mean, if there’s one platform that doesn’t need stories, it’s LinkedIn lol). The addition of stories would really boost your credibility I think. Second, multiple theme options. I personally am not a huge fan of the dark layout of Vero, as it seems kind of depressing to me. The addition of a light and happy option would be awesome.

Almost there. I really like the look and feel of the app. But I think it’s missing the ability to just post a comment or thought etc. I don’t necessarily want to add a photo every time I create a post.

Can’t see anything. I can’t see white text on dark backgrounds, so I can’t use this app. Shame, because it sounds like a great app, the friend who was trying to help me change the settings so I could read and navigate without help was impressed with it. I really hope you consider implementing an option to change the colour scheme. I’ll keep it for awhile in the hopes of an option to change. For now we’ll have to look elsewhere.

Unusable, Waste. I saw this application advertised as the ‘App of the Day’ and downloaded/installed it but WASN’T able to use the app or service, because you need a phone and phone number to make it work - which should’ve been mentioned, instead of sucking people in and then realising they can’t use the app or service. Not only did this turn out to be a waste of my time, it was a waste of my data and money. This app needs to advertise that bias restriction, so others DON’T waste their time or money.

"Ad free" - with commercials?. The first thing I see when I join is a suggestion to follow "Wasted Talent", which turns out to be doing commercials for Monster drinks and Billabong... From hero to zero in one minute for me. As the saying goes "if it's free, you are the product"... Big disappointed. Fooled again.

I really like it here. There’s something about being with interesting people in an elegantly designed experience that has a commitment to privacy and no ads that makes you feel good. That’s why I’m spend more time here than Instagram and FB.

UI makes everything very small. I love the idea. I have an iPhone 8, my phone is smaller than average. I find that the thick borders around everything makes images really small. This would be nice on a bigger screen but I am currently squinting at it because the text is small, the photos are small, I feel like I need to zoom in to everything. I would be more interested in using this regularly if borders were removed from the home screen and profile screens.

Can’t even sign up. App is broken, can’t even sign up. Fails to send the required verification SMS when there are no issues with the number provided, and the only way to sign up is via the mobile app. What gives? Disappointed as Vero sounds like a good platform for photography.

Feels like home. I started using VERO late April 2022 thinking it was a new or newer app, as I had not heard of it at all prior. I setup a new profile and began posting daily, slowly following people who generally followed back(Thanks!). It felt like a nice community vibe compared to other socials. Less than two weeks in, my second post was featured by Podium, which was the first time I’d ever had a feature anywhere. This was encouraging! In four months I've got half as many followers as I have on IG after 2+ years, and a lot of features too! I highly recommend VERO to anyone finding their social media accounts missing something(s). I can’t remember how I came to find out about VERO, but I wish I could thank the person who led me there.

Love this app. I love using this app - after being on Instagram for many years, I am sick and tired of them telling me what I should see. All I want to see is my friends photos, in chronological order, with no ads. This app gives me all of the above and I am loving it !!!

Love the app, but I want to recommend something.. Hey Vero, so with the Connect feature on some people’s profiles, I recon you guys should remove that feature and put it so it’s just follow, so the person actually shows up as a follower. Because with the connect one it doesn’t show up that they are following you. And for someone trying to grow on Vero I recon it should just be a follow button then underneath the follow button, have a direct message button, but the button will only be there if you have it set on or off. I recon if it was like that. That would be so much better then the Connect button, but other then that, loving the app :)

Nothing works. The follow binoculars isn’t in my account. People I follow isn’t showing that I follow them. And I don’t see anyone else’s posts.

Nothings changed. It’s very disappointing that such a promising app has stalled and stalled quite some time ago. Ongoing glitches with the photo album access on iOS where selecting a particular folder results in contents of another being displayed. But worst of all the horrible contrast and absolute inability to change font size. I feel I’m straining my eyes every time I’ve tried to use the app over the many years it’s been available. The obsession with the colour scheme I feel is ruining my eyes. It’s also pointless making suggestions to the developer team, nothing ever comes of it. Just like all other social media platforms, you don’t listen.

What social media should be. Remember when Instagram was just about the images, the people you followed, and the community? Well, that packed up and moved to Vero. I created an account a few years ago, when Vero hit the news. Used it for a while like many others but let it slide (like many others). Now I have come back and it's amazing to see it growing and how good the app has become; and the desktop beta is a godsend!! Vero is a joy to use.... My only offering to the Vero team is that there are massive communities in the #conceptart #aiart #3Dart etc. communities that they should be trying to reach. Many already have accounts but there needs to be a momentum to get them on board again. Now's the time as so many are sick and tired of the Facebook rubbish unfolding on Instagram, and Vero really is a brilliant alternative.

Alt to instagram. Was looking for an alternative to insta since thats all paid and big businesses now but as some feedback- i think u should get rid of the connections and followers thing. Its confusing. Once im connected with someone i cant follow them. I have all these connections and no followers... and i dont understand 🥺

This is the next big thing get in ASAP. I’m loving this app so far it reminds me of the old days of social media. It’s fun. There are no ads. It’s a chrono timeline. It’s got all the features you need. It looks pretty. There’s some really interesting things you can do that you can’t do anywhere else. This app has potential to overtake the big boys. Gorgeous UI. Love the UI, but I’m a bit confused at the tagline “Less social media. More social life.” I can’t for the life of me figure out how to post just plain text without adding some form of media. Maybe I’m missing something obvious?

needs updating. Ok so I just got on this app and there’s a couple of features that i’m not enjoying, namely the connections feature. I don’t like how once you’re connected with someone they don’t show up as a follower, only as an “acquaintance” or a “close friend”, and I also dislike the fact that you cannot change your information once you give it to the company as I have heard that it may not be the most trustworthy app to give personal information such as a phone number to, be weary.

Photographers - please sign up!. Forget Instagram! It’s dead. Forget it. One tap on “photos” in Vero and you see all posts from the accounts you follow, and in order they were posted, sorted by day. Don’t miss a thing or see anything you don’t follow. User controlled viewing.

Brilliant app with a fresh idea!. This app is absolutely one of a kind! It is a fresh idea and incorporates everything someone would want in a “social app”. I love the fact that I can post my photos and then give recommendations for movies and music as well as books all in the same place. This app is truly unique in what it offers. I recommend this app to anyone and confidently say it is better than Instagram. 5/5

Mostly good but needs a few tweaks. So far I like a lot of what I see but the only a couple of main things in my brief testing that are a bit annoying is images are low res and blurry unless you click on them and then it takes a second or 2 to load a better quality version. So as an alternative to say Instagram, it doesn’t show off your images to their best. Also in your profile grid there is a lot of wasted space resulting in tiny thumbnails. Adding 1 or 2 cut off words from the description adds nothing useful except clutter & boarders between thumbnails really only need to be 1 or 2 pixels wide so that thumbnails can be bigger. There should also be a button near the bookmarks and notifications in the top right that goes to your profile. Shouldn’t have to go into the menu to then go to your profile. It’s not a big difference but would reduce needed clicks without adding much clutter. The sideways scrolling to see a new image then vertical scroll for description is a nice touch, but putting the heart/like button at the top requires me to use 2 hands it should be placed at the bottom within easy one handed reach to encourage more interaction. I look forward to seeing it develop and hope lots more people jump onboard

No one gets my phone number. No one gets my phone number until I’m satisfied with the product and the company credentials. You can’t check out this app unless you provide it. I’ve lived without Vero thus far I reckon I can do without it.

Latest version slow. Great app dev team but your latest iteration for iOS is now extremely slow to open and responsiveness to actions (liking, scrolling etc.) has also slowed down considerably. All for a new functionality (live commenting, whatever that is) which is of no use to me as I've no interest in the Snyderverse event

Doesn’t Work on iPod Touch??. Replaced my old iPhone with an iPod Touch and I can’t install Vero even though I have iOS12 installed. Other apps that require phone activation work on iPod touch. No reason Vero can’t. PLEASE FIX.

The best photo and content sharing ❤️. A refreshing way to view and share great content without the endless barrage of unwanted advertising

Great but busy. I love the app, i just find that having the content type (photo, video, etc) and two lines of caption per upload in the grid view makes it very busy and is a little tiring to the eye. I love the fact that the uploads have a portrait format vs the squared format in instagram. Perhaps the type of content can be just an icon and no caption for having a cleaner and more aesthetic grid view. Thanks for your work and taking out ads from the whole equation!

Sense of Community. I don’t get a sense of how big the Vero community is, but I do get a sense of Community. The users tend to be engaged. The admins are responsive. The user experience is that it works.

Insta Replacement. I love this app because it gives me a platform where I’m not competing to be seen by other photographers

Hi Vero Visually it looks amazing I’ve been using the app looking at how to increase my followers/get people using the app and increasing their followers/connections There needs to be a way to change the view of photos quicker then just scrolling through one photo at a time, there needs to be a way to potentially sort top rated photos or posts, or potentially the ability to change the view so you can see more photos in one hit That way I have the chance to follow more people in a shorter amount of time

Lame. Horrible platform

Good platform. I have used this platform before and liked it. I downloaded it again a few days ago and the security code sent to my phone number does not get sent. I have spoken to support as well as my internet provider but still am not receiving my security code.

Love this app. Better than Instagram…finally, a place where you’re not bombarded with sponsored ads, videos and suggested algorithmic profiles . This app brings you back to the nostalgia of yesteryear apps... , it lets you be in control of what you like to see. Only thing I would like to see in this app is an explore button.. but another than that I looked it.

Fantastic community. This is a great app to use if you want to be part of a supportive community. Keep n mind that being part of a community is a two way street. If you want engagement, you also must engage. I love the chronological timeline feed. I love how people share great profiles they discover. This is the app I thought instagram was but found out instagram is just full of ads and smoke and mirrors. This is much more authentic.

Tranquillement.... J'ai démarré mon compte il y a presque 5 ans, en espérant voir l'App s'imposer comme une vraie alternative aux principaux réseaux sociaux en place, mais n'a pas su décoller réellement jusqu'à présent. Mais il se pourrait que l'on arrive enfin à un tournant, étant disponible sur iOS/iPadOS/MacOS... et de par le fait que nos informations demeurent confidentielles, qu'il n'y ait pas de publicité, que l'interface offre beaucoup de possibilités de façon assez intuitive... Par contre, il semble y avoir un bogue sur la version iPad, lorsque l'on veut ajouter une photo, on voit apparaître une fraction de seconde le menu qui permet de choisir l'accès à la bibliothèque ou à l'appareil, et il passe directement au mode de capture photo ou vidéo.

Beautifully design, socially flawed. The apps has a beautiful design, smooth swiping and a cool UI when posting and managing different levels of followers. THAT BEING SAID, the growth just doesn’t exist, I’ve seen more and more complaints of user posting photos and videos daily and interacting with others resulting in no visualization of their content. I am stuck on a 30 followers base for basically a year or so with daily posting, interactions, commenting, replying, diversifying content and all. To me the platform is just dead and not worth the time and effort creating content for it. Lastly, no one seems to know what VERO is anymore.

Better the Insta. Better in every way.

Post Path. Family and friends needed something to replace Path and Vero is doing a good job of being that replacement. Mumbled a bit at first but that was just over learning the differences from Path.

I love the idea behind this app but I find what would bring more people in is a separate button that allows you to scroll threw random photos posted to help others discover peoples pages because right now it’s harder for people to find your page unless they know you and follow you so it makes it harder for us small time people trying to grow bigger

Mais je ne peux en aucun cas faire des recherches! Où importer des recherches, où des endroits/achats/comme si votre moteur de recherche est inopérant! Vous avez des artistes qui n’ont aucun sens à mes yeux! Instagram est plus ouvert car: si j’inscris Légo Instagram me sort 200 endroit et plus & Vero aucun…. j’essaye de depuis quelques temps et je commence à m’ennuyer à juste essayer de comprendre son simple fonctionnement incompréhensible ??? Il va s’en dire que je vais me désabonner de cette… inopérante et non fonctionnelle!!

Followers. I’m new to this platform so maybe I’m doing something wrong but I have posted 4 photos with hashtags and not one person has noticed them…🤔

Lots of Potential. The app works well and the layout is beautiful. However... there aren’t many people using it and it gets kind of boring so I deleted my account. Perhaps if you guys focus more on attracting more users... I will download again once I have friends on there.

Lots of potential. Trying to exit the Facebook world & algorithm-fed information led me to VERO. It’s visually stunning and fairly intuitive to use. Seems to be artist/creator-heavy user base so far, which is cool. I like that I can decide who to share each post with (close friends, friends, acquaintances, and/or followers). And I love that it’s free & (with the plan to eventually be subscription based) will remain free for early adopters - why aren’t we willing to pay for good, responsible products? FB isn’t truly ‘free’ when you consider how much it takes from us. Main criticisms with VERO at this point (hoping they will improve with time): (1) Not enough people/friends on it, so it gets a bit boring; (2) You can’t share simple text posts, which I’m hoping they will add; and (3) you can’t create dedicated ‘groups’ which is something a lot of people like on FB/use these social media apps for - hoping that functionality will be added at some point. Lots of potential - hoping it becomes big.

SO COOL. So I had a lot of trouble signing up a while back, but that issue is fixed now and I’m so glad!! I love this app! I love how it looks, I love that there’s no ads, it’s like Instagram but better imo. Also my favourite feature is the music sharing!!! That’s so great! I hope this picks up more popularity soon because it’s so fun.

Just isn’t there.. Vero was good for the first little bit after all the hype got it recognized. Now the feed is moving slowly. I will be lucky to see a post a day from all the accounts I follow. The user base just isn’t there anymore. It’s a pretty quiet app.

Wow. There are NO ADS. Beautiful interface that is gratifying to use. Support is friendly and offered ideas as to how to grow my social network. Thank you. This place, at this time, has become very meaningful. All the interactions I have had have been good ones. 🙏🏼

By far the best social media app I’ve ever used.. Delete your Instagram/FB/twitter. VERO is incredible. Kind and considerate community of creators! No ads! No algorithms!! Just try it.

Great app latest update has issues. The last update broke the app it freezes constantly I fixed it by deleting and reinstalling but now when I use the app my iPhone overheats badly can’t use the app without it becoming uncomfortably hot (using iPhone 14 pro max just for reference and context)

Nah man. Asks for your full name instead of a username and email with phone number. I’m not giving my number, especially when people are trying to run away from other platforms for privacy reasons and the selling of personal info to other fraudulent businesses, forget it. Trash App, never going to replace instagram. Update: Say what you will, the devil is in the details.

Vero is best photo app. Definitely the place to be if you enjoy photography, ans soooo much better then Facebook or Instagram!

OK App. I’m an amateur photographer so mainly use the app for the pics. Decent app but there is a rampant problem with hashtag abuse. Why, why why do people posting portraits feel the need to add the #landscape hashtag? Quite annoying. It’s not just portraits. Everybody does it; like it’s a contest to see how many hashtags can be applied to the image.

If it’s as free why collect purchase history?. UPDATE: the developer contacted me and said they don’t sell data… but didn’t answer why they are collecting it (see the App Store info on privacy). If you don’t advertise and you don’t sell data why are you collecting purchase history? Looking at the info on data collection and privacy, I believe this company is hoping their app will be acquired and wants this data in case the purchaser needs it. So no ads now doesn’t mean for always.

Best platform for all kind of artists. I like this real social platform without add and other bullsh.t

Artist. A true honest application.

Almost the perfect social media app for 2022. First things first, this app is great but I feel like it’s only missing one thing. Stories. That is a driving force to any other successful social media app that keeps people engaged. If VERO could make it so you had stories on top of everything else this app can do, it would blow up!

Simple and very useful app. This is really instagram killer!

Was interested in trying until…. I was watching some of my YouTube feeds and recently they have been advertising the app. I eventually thought I’d give it a try to follow some of my favourites from the automotive community. I downloaded the app and got to the sign up screens when it asked me for my phone number. I stopped immediately. There is no reason for you to have my phone number. And you never will. I get enough spam as it is without giving my number out for free. Now I know you’re going to say “well, we’ll never sell your info or give it out”. Unfortunately, past experience with info leaking or being hacked, I generally have zero trust towards companies. Call me paranoid, etc. but it’s just not going to happen. Please remove the need for giving a phone number. I’ll come back to try if it ever gets removed. I’ll happily update this review once I can try it

Issues. I have tried to reinstall three times to see if issue is fixed. I log out and then cannot log back on. I use my iPad passcode to access very and it just keeps me out. One more try I guess, then I am done.

Already Better. Back to how social media used to be…how it should be. Chronological. No ads. No paid promotions. No insane algorithms designed to mine information for corporate investors.

Best Social Network. Very nice social network. I appreciate that there aren’t any advertisements. I really like that I can see all of my friends posts in the order they were posted. I really like Vero and hope to see people leave Facebook and other places and join Vero. It would really be nice if it worked in a web browser. Also please add support for iPad. If you did this it would make it much more usable for more people. It would also be nice if you could make it so you can save photos.

Improve commenting. VERO is a good experience, especially to us frustrated Instagram users, but I’m hoping you can improve the layout of comments on posts. It would be more conducive to socializing if replies appeared directly below each comment and there could be a back and forth with that follower, instead of replies showing up separately after all the comments. It’s a bit difficult to go back and see which comment that reply is referring to. Please fix and this will make it more friendly and talkative!

Social your way not their way. It’s so refreshing to have a place to share my photography and see what I want not be force fed someone’s algorithm of what they think I *should* want. Vero does that and so much more. It’s got a great app for the desktop as well as the phone *and* pad. You see a beautiful layout of your contacts work and it’s easy to find people to follow, whether they are famous or people who’s interests align with yours. Vero is what it is about!

A lil sketchy. Heard about Vero through a class and wanted to check it out, but to be honest I didn’t get past the sign up. I don’t really feel comfortable giving my phone number, nor do I like the fact that I can’t even sign up without it 🤷🏾‍♀️ I personally think it’s unnecessary as I legitimately don’t even need my number to make an INSTAGRAM account. From the little I’ve heard of this app it’s also a space where many fan communities (especially QUESTIONABLE ones) come together without much administrative oversight, which can be pretty dangerous in some cases. Also, there doesn’t seem to be much constructive feedback through the reviews. It’s very automated which makes me less interested in the medium, as I don’t even feel like the developers really care much 😩 but the other thousands of ppl who like it, probably have good reason. Also why is this app only free for a limited time? I don’t get that part either. It doesn’t seem like something I’d spend money on, if I wouldn’t even provide my phone number.

One of the BEST social media apps. In an era of algorithms, sponsored posts, ads, and data mining, Vero does things different. I love their chronological feed, I no longer have to worry about missing posts from people. I also enjoy not seeing any ads while I spend time on the app. My favorite feature so far has to be the custom audience selector, which lets me make posts for just close friends.

Replacement for Path. Just switched to this from Path which I’ve been using for several years to share moments with extended family. Liking Vero so far but it crashes every time I try to post a video from my camera roll on iPhone. Is this a known bug? Would also love to see comment displayed in line instead of having to click into them. Other than that seems good for my use case.

A refreshing social app. It’s very refreshing to be part of a social media app that isn’t fighting to keep me engaged and blasting me with ads and posts I never asked to see. A lot of my friends and family have not yet joined but I am meeting and engaging with new people everyday! Lots of cool features other apps should have implemented years ago! Very excited to see where this app goes

Visual pleasure. I like this platform a lot more than Instagram. I think the picture quality and size is better. The layout overall looks sophisticated, I love that I can see several feeds at once and faster to scroll through. I hope this apps takes off and gains more followers. I’ll definitely stick around for the long run and hopefully have a more personal interaction with fellow cosplayers.

Love Love Love. I signed up in late February, about the time everyone else in the world did. It’s not rocket science to figure out the impact that kind of activity will have on a platform. So I patiently waited, and have been rewarded handsomely. Chronological order! No more other people deciding what you should see first. The UI is beautiful. No compression, resulting in stunning photos, even for you pixel peepers. Decide what you share. If you’re not a photographer, share your passion for books, or movies, or music. Or all of it! I love the concept of connecting with others so you can communicate privately, or share with a select group. My ONLY wish is this: don’t subtract connections from followers. Fix that, and its perfection. If you avoided Vero because of negative reviews in February and March, look again. Things are running very smoothly!

Incredible music & TV discover. I mostly enjoy finding people who enjoy music and TV shows. This all if you search by hash tag you can find people with similar interests. Yes some people abuse the hash tag search and it’s not perfect. I really enjoy how nice this app looks when you share a song or movie you recommend. Very slick interface. Just search and it gives the user album art and a sample play button. Or if you pay for Apple Music you can open it in that app. It’s a very new app so lots of room to grow. I hope more people sign up as it’s a kind community.

The True Definition of Social.. When I discovered this app by a friend, I felt relieved that all my hard work and my skills as a photographer are getting justice. Quality, Full Frame Images without Crop, unlike instagram where you sacrifice everything that is a “picture perfect” becomes “imperfect” this app is a blessing from the photographer gods, and I’m happy to be part of VERO Family. Trust me you won’t regret it for one bit. This is the true definition of social.

Love the VERO app!. It’s so nice to scroll through pictures on Vero and not being forced to watch advertisements in your feed like other apps. I really love the way the images look, no cropping or alterations in the quality of your image. I also love the friends I have made. It’s so much more personal and not generic. Status updates. I just joined today. I really like how this is set up. However I noticed,you can’t post a status. Not everyone wants to post music,photos and links all the time. People do like posting status updates too. For example,I had a fabulous date night with my husband tonight. You couldn’t do this if you wanted to. This is the only reason why I gave it a 4 star review. This might be the one thing that keeps people away from this platform.

Exciting. I don’t know, just something about this app just made me really explore my love for photography more and it was so encouraging seeing pro photographers liking my photos that to me seem like nothing when I compare my work to them. It really does have a community feel to it and I actually get to see posts of people that I follow instead of hundreds of different ads every other post.

Absolutely amazing. This social platform, brings back the idea of interacting with people. Not just being bombarded with adds and content you could give a crap about. It allows artists to post their work and allow people to see it if they choose i absolutely enjoy it. It makes posting photos online fun again. Thank you to the creators

Wonderful Community / No Algorithms. What a breath of fresh air VERO is. I’m there for photography but there is so much more to appeal to a broad spectrum of interests. Movies. Music. Books. Videos. Photos are posted in full - no cropping. Colors are vivid. Love the artistic eye shared by many. The VERO team responds to questions. It’s all about REAL PEOPLE. Bots are not a thing. Imagine! am so happy VERO works hard everyday to make the online experience meaningful once again. I strongly urge you to check it out for a totally different and welcoming COMMUNITY.

Vero is what Social Media should be!!!!!. I highly recommend this app!!! It’s Ad Free and Algorithm free so that your not hooked or addicted to your phone 24/7. All post are in chronological order and all of your followers can see your post if you want them too. Your in control of it all on Vero. It has an amazing community of artist and photographers and musicians as well as Cosplay Communities and More!!!!!!

Best Social Media App. This is now the best social media app, especially if you like sharing your content and having it actually seen by humans who follow you and care about your work, which isn’t something you can say about IG or it’s parent FB/Meta. A few things I would suggest to the dev/business team: 1. Make a reply to each comment nestled under the comments you’re replying to. 2. Give users the ability to Like comments 3. Refresh the landing/home page more often. I’d like to have more regular updates on things like Hashtags, recommended artists and content, etc. The home page has not refreshed in over two weeks of me using it. Keep up the good work. I see a big future for VERO.

Good but sexual harassment issues. I love this app for photography, though there are issues with bugs and things like no nested replies. I can deal with those but there have been a recurring issue where people (mostly women) are being sexually harassed, sent explicit images, etc.. in a growing number, report the issue and then being told that nothing can be done, basically ‘if you don’t like it, just look the other way’, even though it violates their guidelines.

Path alternative. Our family has started using Vero as an alternative to Path. Love the functionality so far, but the UI really needs to be updated! Very cheesey and “gamer” looking. Typefaces are too thin, colors are too dark, and using blurred images as backgrounds is a design choice that would’ve been cutting edge 10 years ago. There’s a reason people don’t do it anymore—especially on a content-rich environment like this. Style should take a back seat so the content is easier to view and navigate.

Potential. This app is a v great idea and I love the layout and the flow, but for an app that focuses on connecting irl friends socially through the app, it makes no sense to me that the only people you can find on the discover page are verified accounts with huge followings. I’d enjoy it a lot more if I were able to meet new people who would interact w my acc, I really don’t see a way to get any followers/traction unless your friends are already on the app. So I guess to wrap it up I love the app, but for now it’s a waste of time because I can’t discover anyone’s accounts and no one can discover mine 🤷🏿‍♂️

The safer and more enjoyable Instagram alternative. Tired of Instagram’s algorithm and advertising driven feed? Switch to Vero. Your feed will become your own again. Social media as it should be. Yes, membership is far smaller than IG, but if you can bring your friends along for the ride, the reward is a far better app experience, more control over your posts, broader categories of social sharing and a more enjoyable quality experience.

Vero is the next Instagram killer. As a long time instagram user, I am seeing instagram been going downhill since Facebook brought them. I have seen many of my friends instagram pages get taken down for no legitimate reason and the amount of Ads and spamming on Instagram is why the place is going down hill. Vero on the other hand is fast becoming the next Instagram and looking more likely to be the next instagram killer. Which is why I am on Vero and I have been seriously recommending Vero to all my friends on instagram. Vero has become my instagram backup and my Instagram alternative.

Best app. You will walk in the doers very skeptical but once Vero wins you over you will stop wasting your time with instgram. It’s ok it might feel like you are just crying about, but then one day you will be at your grandparents house thinking, wow I never want to post on instagram again. It’s this sound coming from silence that is so great. This is a review. I got off your Netflix Did you get your own Netflix account.

It has potential. This app is clean looking , it has potential I am looking for a new app because periscope is shutting down soon. There are a few bugs please fix where I can see how many people are actually following me the numbers are not showing up. I think the app need to pick a direction they want to go in if it does to much it looses focus. I want to move my Facebook private group followers over to this app but please fix the bugs where you can see who is actually following you and other people profile pics .

Beautiful app and great UI. What a well done clean, beautiful app with an intuitive UI. Will this replace or displace Instagram? It could for sure. I’m a believer. Using on iPhone and iPads in 2022 when Instagram backed by billions doesn’t even have an iPad app. The privacy controls are so easy to use. Full resolution photos when zooming in and ability to go landscape. All the things I wished Instagram had but doesn’t have - Vero has!

Vero user for life!. Finally!! I found a social media platform that doesn’t push content in my face that ‘it’ thinks I want to see. I choose what I want to see and when I want to see it. It’s user friendly and a very positive experience every time I’m on it. To be able to enjoy social media is a revelation! My hat off to Vero - you knocked it out of the park and nothing else compares!

Cool new app without all the BS. I like the app & it’s features, especially how it divides up who you want to see your information. My only suggestion would be to add a family category to the close friends, friends, acquaintances & followers category. As there maybe specific people you want to invite to say a party. Overall it’s awesome & definitely a breath of fresh air compared to FB!!

i love the idea of this app and fully supportive so writing a feedback. the layout is very all over the place, i want these to be sorted. like in simplest way. i want it to be simple like 10 year olds can play with this app. when i first saw the layout/ design for the app it felt very complex . i felt like i had to learn to use the app. it needs to be much more intuitive in the simplest way. that way i think this app could gain lots of users but now as i tried the app, its quite hard to get used to it. and more animations on the app!! it feels so stiff i know that its early verison of the app and from small startup but i want this app to be successful for real so u need to make users feel like home. hire me if u need help i want to be helped for real. this is now the chance of this app to grow instagram is dying. and true artists and creators are lost where to be connected and shared at this point. i want this app to be that

Not bad just needs some love. OVER ALL it’s ok! Once you start following people and if the people you follow start posting a lot it could be good. With nothing really suggested to you it makes it kinda a chore to go looking for content. It needs more of a community feel, like TikTok where everyone will follow people because they like their content and not be stingy with their follow like IG. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE THE BIO!!! You want my phone number? No thanks. The fact there is no way to skip adding in my phone number is disturbing to me. What if I want to meet new people and have no interest in the same old circle? This app is ridiculous. If I wanted to be surrounded by the same old people, I’d get on that one site everyone is on, and we know just how trustworthy they are. I should have the option to skip a phone number option and add what contacts I know manually. I don’t need another company knowing anymore info than I want them to. Whether they keep it “private” or not.

Love it. VERO is a refreshing return to connecting with others who love photography. No ads or reels being shoved in your face so you can actually see what your friends are posting rather than being bombarded with things that don’t interest you. 5 stars! Hopefully more people will join and it will grow, it’s definitely better than the photography/social platform you’re currently using.

Better than Instagram.. Vero is a app that is built for the user experience. They don’t force feed you popular content or tons of ads. It’s great to get a following and communicate with other people. Also getting verified is pretty easy. I have a small page with a handful of followers and I was able to get verified in 1 day.

Could use Some UX/UI. I really want to like this app. I like Instagram because it’s so visual but hate feeling like I’m being funneled into an identity bc of algorithms. This app is so unfamiliar from a user stand point it actually makes my head spin a little bit. Everything has a dark background and a lot of text everywhere so it feels jumbled and messy. I think the idea is great, just would be better to have something more visually appealing and less confusing. If you overhaul the design of this site you will be unstoppable. It’s the only reason this app isn’t massive.

I love the concept. This app has so much potential for me and all my fellow creatives out there. However there are some minor design issues that make the app kind of inconvenient. 1- Not sure if it’s just my device but my posts are buggy I cant swipe right & left my entire screen freezes. 2- Could there be a easy way to meet friends on the app? Without making it feel like a traditional social media. 3- The UI is nice however, as a beginner on the app for a brief time I couldn’t understand how to view the content? So maybe a few design tweaks. Additional: If there was a way to design & customize your feed like a Pinterest page that would be so dope In all, I have never left a review on ANYTHING in my life but I really see the potential in this app. I want to see it crush Instagram! A Great Start. I heard about this platform from Zack Snyder’s Twitter account and decided to try it. I must say it’s an improvement over Instagram. I’m even starting to copy over my Letterboxd reviews to it. One thing that needs to be addressed, though, is the viewable portion of the post in relation to they keyboard. On movie/tv posts, once I get to a certain length, the cursor is hidden under the keyboard so I can’t see what I’m typing and have to stop. The character limit I can deal with, but I’m thinking the cursor visibility is a bug.

Huge server side issues. Update on Update: So they are trying to implement a live streaming. Hopefully they do what periscope does with people donating as it would make it that much better. They just need to roll it out quicker Update: The app is doing way better now, but still needs to add a live feature and a way to link to your profile on other social medias. All it does is promote the channel and not help out the creator I keep getting retry errors and time out problems. They can’t expect to be seamless and take out other social platforms if theirs doesn’t even work. It’s literally slow as hell, can’t post or share profile. It’s just something to download. No way to go live either.

The world’s upcoming social media network. Vero is honestly amazing! This app is a remarkable design, and I can see how good the UIUX designers they have hired to make it! I am a designer myself, and I can tell you this is true quality work. The app itself functions amazingly, and I love the fact that I am not being tricked by algorithms, embedded ads, and content I do not really care about. Vero is my favorite social media app along with Snapchat. I consider myself a huge supporter. Great job! Keep it up! Don’t be like “wink wink” social that treats people’s data like a toy, please!

Importing other social media info. Love everything about your app! A helpful switch would be if we could somehow import our years and years of photo information. I think that’s the hard part to lose in the switch. Otherwise I’d say you’ve nailed it on no algorithms and your whole premise!

Best social media. Just downloaded it a few days ago and it is such a relief to see a social media platform not dominated by paid advertisers and people just trying to make money. It seems a lot like Instagram but instead of algorithms the feed is chronological, so you’re able to see the content that you actually want to see. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new social media app!

Good but can be great!. I’ve been using VERO for a few days now. As a creative I love that it’s ad-free and algorithm-free. I love the chronological feed and the systems for organizing content and connections. There’s definitely room for improvement to the aesthetics and text could be streamlined and improved from a designer standpoint. It has potential to be truly what social networking was meant to be. There’s definitely a lot of people joining right now. A lot of creativity and inspiration and VERO’s all human (no AI) team is pretty amazing and receptive to work with its community to make it even better. Thanks VERO

Gorgeous & way more features than FB. Just starting using this app and I’m blown away by how impressive the UI is - absolutely beautiful! It’s so cool that you can search for books, music, photos, etc. This makes my posts look so cool and polished and not boring like the usual social media suspects. Great Ap For Creatives, BUT…. This app is great for those people creating artistic things. I really enjoy the app however, why is it that all of the photos appear to be so low in the resolution they don’t appear sharp on the screen. You should require a higher resolution photo to be uploaded so that when it is viewed on an iPhone or iPad the images actually appear sharp and not pixelated. LFI requires a much higher resolution photo and when you look at the app on your iPhone, the photos are tack sharp.

Great Idea Poorly Executed. Love the idea behind this app, but it definitely needs work. Once you share a post, you can’t change its privacy settings. You have to delete the post and then re-share. If you post about a movie, you can’t click on watched and recommend for instance. Also being able to just hit enter on your keyboard would be awesome to just add a line between paragraphs or hashtags. Also the ability to change the photo to a different photo on links would be nice. Also the ability to add more than 9 photos to a post would be great. Please add these features.

I love it. For a “social” network, Instagram really doesn’t care about your relationships. All it cares about is capturing and keeping your attention AND selling stuff to you. When I realized that the people I cared about made up less than 25% of my feed, it was time to move on. Life without Instagram had to be BETTER than life with it. VERO is a breathe of fresh air. I spend less than 15 minutes a day on it, I see the people and images I care about, and then hop off to get back to real life.

Great app, spread the news!. Came here as an alternative to Facebook and Instagram. They’ve become junk mail overrun by ads and algorithms. Really hoping Vero can put the feelers out there so people jump on the bandwagon because what good is this app if I have no connections. Crossing my fingers Instagram drives themselves into the ground. I know people are dropping like flies. Hoping they find this as a better alternative!

Simple & Clean. VERO is such a simple to use and clean looking app that has a lot of potentials, love the UI and the fact that algorithm (if there is any) doesn’t shove 50 random accounts that I don’t even follow, unlike that one other app *cough cough* anyways the only downside is that you can’t switch between accounts without having to logout and manually switching to another account but overall the app is great with its simplistic looks.

So refreshing. Instagram and Facebook woes? Vero feeds my need to express myself without falling into the ‘celebrity status’ a lot of my friends put forth on the daily via other social channels. VERO allows you to choose who can see your posts - either close friends, friends, and acquaintances, or all - so you can basically cater to anyone and everyone at the rate and tone you’d like. I also love the ability to share music, films, and gaming interests, etc in my scrollable feed. Makes it a much more dynamic experience overall. I love seeing what my friends and family are into, not just their carefully constructed magazine-like photo carousels... or their viral motivated stories. VERO is such a zero judgement zone. It’s so refreshing. It’s also gorgeous. I’ll be treating mine like a visual blog. Curious how it will impact you!

Recent photos. I really love Vero. I stopped using Instagram for obvious reasons. The only thing I don’t like about the app is when I open it I have to scroll to get to most recent photos. On the desktop version it automatically opens to most recent. I much much prefer this. So I hope you can make the app do the same. Thanks ! Update.. I realized I can just click the photo tab and recent images are listed. I had it on ALL and latest posts were not at the top. I had to scroll up to see them. It’s ok… I’m good now.
