They Are Ignoring Me. I went onto the app and paused my account for as far into the future as I was allowed. They still delivered a meal and deducted the cost from my account. I thought maybe I didn’t pause it within the specified time so I let it go. They delivered another meal less than a week later and deducted more money from my account! I went to the app to cancel. On the app, I read that cancellations can only be made on the website. When I went to the website, it automatically opened the app which doesn’t allow cancellations! I deleted the app and then I went back to the website and was able to cancel the service. I received a message that my subscription has been canceled, and I took a screenshot. They still delivered two more meals on two separate occasions and deducted money from my account! Are they really this ignorant or is this their way to make additional profit? I will have to find time during my busy workday to get on the phone and sit on hold and wait my turn among all their frustrated former customers to straighten them out; but it should not be this hard to cancel! I have not had this problem with other meal delivery companies. Perhaps I will report their dishonest business practices to BBB. I do not trust HelloFresh. I do not recommend them. No! Be cautious of them: once they get ahold of you, they will hold on tighter than a python! 🐍 I warn you: do not give them access to your money!

DO NOT USE THIS APP. I had nothing but problems from start to finish smh their customers service is horrible so the response to everything is “there is nothing I can do I’m sorry.” They don’t offer you credits or your money back even when the mistake is their fault they kept trying to charge my card for different amounts after I paid for my first box smh literally right afterwards they tried to charge me $85 then 21 then 35 then my order kept getting pushed back said I had a dublicate box that’s their system generated so that’s why they changed my delivery times 3 times so my box came a week late finally got my box and it wasn’t what I asked for AT ALL I changed the food because the options that week I wasn’t going to eat and I like the other options better but come to find out the lady I talked to the second time messed up my order when fixing my delivery since it kept being pushed back then after being told that it was a mistake on their end and seeing how unsatisfied I was with my experience I wasn’t offered any money back for this order or credits for my next order of food I wasn’t going to eat 3 out if the 4 meals I was just told there’s nothing I can do. All three times I messaged customer service all three I left unsatisfied and was giving MINIMAL help then told there’s nothing I can do outside of look at your account and change a few things mind you this was my first experience with them so EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS APP IS HORRIBLE FIND A DIFFERENT ONE.

Love the food!. The food sent in the box is very good quality! Easy to make the recipes too. So far everything we’ve made has been good. Some better than others but overall very tasty! I wish there was an option to change the sides. A lot of them come with green beans and there needs to be more variety. So if you could have it to where we could change the sides and add some more options, that’d be great! My only real issue is communication. We had snow last week and it delayed our order from Wednesday to Friday. That is out of anyone’s control as far as bad weather goes and I understand that. My problem is we never received an email or text letting us know of the delay. Checking the app showed was out for delivery and at times said delivered when it wasn’t. Very confusing and frustrating to say the least. I would expect better communication from Hello Fresh. We were left in the dark. And when I called customer service, they were of no help. The 2 people we spoke to were nice but reading from some type of a script. It was weird, they just talked in circles and really didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know. I do think any type delay/problem needs to be communicated to the customer so we know what to expect.

Misleading. Pricing is very sketchy and they aren’t honest and upfront about pricing. They charged me for my meals and then charged me again for upgraded meals. When I checked out I thought I was paying for everything, I was not and they charged me twice. I don’t mind paying extra because I got upgraded meals but what I didn’t like was how it seemed like I was checking out and paying my total and then a few days later I got another bill. It was very sneaky how they did it and I guess it’s my fault for not realIzing what happened. Also I can’t figure out how to cancel this. I’ve been to their help center and still can’t figure out how to cancel. Now about the food. I had a total of 6 boxes come. And out of 6 3 I really enjoyed. And out of the 3 I had to replace two meats because they sent me bad food. Also instead of giving me a refund they give you a credit you can only use on your next box. Instead of sending me the food. Also my first box I didn’t get the recipe cards I sent customer service a message and they said they would send them and i still haven’t received them. It’s been several weeks now. This subscription is very disappointing and misleading. I want to know what I’m buying and exactly how much I’m spending when I hit purchase. Not to be billed again later without even knowing.

Completely unethical business practices. I had done what I believed to have stopped and cancelled the account, but it was apparently just “paused” for the month of November with no notice that my subscription was about to renew and a box sent to me. I had an accident with my vehicle that has become a financial issue and this is why I cancelled this service, to save money. I believed I had honestly cancelled it but then I’m surprised this month with over $100 out of my account, which caused a temporary overdraft before another check was able to be deposited to my account. I am VERY unsatisfied with this, and have attempted to get my money back to no avail. The attached screenshots are from tech support on their app. They kept giving me a runaround about “pausing” my subscription or changing how often deliveries come but I kept having to ask for a cancellation. I want my money back. I have done everything on my end and cannot get my money back. They say it’s their policy to not refund? I don’t find that to be a fair business practice. You, as a business that publicly claims to use small businesses and farms for their supplies, claiming to be more fair market and ethical, and yet have a policy NOT to return a customers money when asked? I think maybe the businesses associated with you need to research a little more and see this.

Perfect for my husband and me!. I rarely rate apps but I love HelloFresh so much! The app itself is easy to use and enjoyable. There is so much I like about the program. The selection is great. The food quality with a mix of hello fresh products, name brands and fresh produce is fantastic. I love that each meal comes in a happy brown bag with all the ingredients for each meal inside minus the meat. The meals taste great! The prices are very good. It usually costs less than drive through fast food and is better for you. The produce available in our small town is sometimes questionable so this is a huge improvement. I’ve only found two slight negatives with HelloFresh. I enjoy cooking and while I like not having to plan each meal, I also feel like I lose pride in what I’ve cooked because I didn’t think of it and it took so little effort to make it happen. I also wish the app would allow commenting immediately after cooking rather than the waiting period they add. The instructions are fresh in the customers mind and they could give feedback in greater detail. The instructions sometimes will say something like chop half the shallot but you get a giant baseball sized shallot so you have to use your best judgement. In that case it would be better if it said chop two tablespoons of shallot and immediate feedback would help those tiny details to make it onto improved instructions for repeating recipes.

College Graduate Learning to Cook. I've heard of Hello Fresh for years now, but as I've been in college I haven't had the budget for higher quality food. But since I've now graduated and have more time and money to spend, I figured I'd give this a shot and it's been the best decision I've ever made. I wasn't really taught how to cook growing up, other than knowing how to throw something in a pan and heat it up. This has left me as an adult living off of quesadillas and some form of eggs. But now that I've been using hello fresh for about 2 months, not only am I eating better food than I have in my entire life, I'm learning to COOK better food than I could have ever come up with on my own! And it shows up right at my doorstep so I don't have to worry about forgetting to get some key ingredient or buying a big bunch of something I only needed a small pinch of. I will say that price wise this is more expensive than buying the same ingredients from the grocery store, but when you account for the service you are paying for I would say it is well worth it. Having a grocery delivery service and cooking classes separately, you'd pay far more than this costs. So if you have some flexibility in your budget, a desire to learn how to cook, and an aversion to grocery shopping, absolutely give Hello Fresh a shot! You'll love the food you're eating and your roommates will be jealous when they smell your cooking every night.

Hello Fresh is amazing!!. So for years, we would scramble around at dinner with the “what do feel like eating” question, not having the right ingredients in the house or being so tired from work that we just couldn’t find the energy to be creative or the desire to make one more decision at the end of a little no day. Hello Fresh provided us with a healthy, delicious, easy to make meal three nights a week. We get to make dinner as a team, which isn’t necessary but is something we enjoy doing together. David is the reader, washer, peeler, and sometimes the masher depending on the recipe. I put it together and do the cooking. Within an average of 30 min, we are sitting at the table with a delicious meal that we made! And every single one we have gotten has been very tasty. We also have learned portion control. Hello Fresh sends just enough food. The plate is full when we start, 95% -100% gone when we are done and we are perfectly full but not stuffed. Love that!!! And lastly, our grocery bill has reduced vastly because we aren’t buying too much of something or something we may not use again. Hello Fresh was a life changer for us. And I love that you can change your menu up to a few days before with no restriction like what Blue Apron has.

Thank you Hello Fresh!. Thank you for teaching me how to cook delicious meals EVERY NIGHT! Sometimes yes you have to put in a little work but I promise you that Hello Fresh did the most! You get this huge cooking card with instructions on every ingredient. And if you know your tastebuds you can jazz it up a little more. My adult child and my husband like to eat out a lot, but I enjoy the different meals that I’m able to cook that taste much better than the Mongolian food they like to eat every night. Plus Hello Fresh is much more affordable. Teaching me how to cook nightly dinners every night. This is a big deal for me because for years, guessing what four children and a husband wanted for dinner was a nightmare. Well now that they are grown, I can finally cook for myself, and Hello Fresh was created just in time so I can cook myself delicious meals every night! Yes I’m excited about learning how to cook and using spices I would have never known to try. So I’m feeling much more confident. And if I want to recook the meal all I have to do is follow the instructions on the card. One more time…Thank you Hello Fresh! You’ve jazzed up apart of my life!

Unstable App with Horrible Ux. I like the meals just fine, but the app is just terrible, so would say it’s worst app I’ve used for more then one day. The ux is very lack luster, I can tell this is a react base app with different 1st and 3rd party components just duct taped together, without concern for any sort of consistency or usability review, so the website is no better. Functionally, it’s so slow and frequently unstable. The app soft crashes regularly, and on multiple occasions, I’ve gotten automatically logged and received an error when trying re-login. Making this worse is that HelloFresh customer support is also awful. The only way to contact them I’ve found it through a intelligence-less chatbot, which I’m fairly sure is just an internal roadblock to make people just give up. When you do reach a real person, they are nice enough, but lack the ability to help in any meaningful way, beyond just offering credits towards future meal. The agents can’t look up any information about you or see any past log, so your constantly repeating your self when when you inevitably get disconnected. I started this saying this was the worst app I’ve used for more then a day, and I’ve suffered this only because I do like their physical product. But no more, I’m quit my subscription purely because of how bad their app/website/support is.

Better hope you get your box!. Context: I come from a very food centered household where if you didn’t show for thanksgiving you were disowned lol. I’m also a bartender who works until 3AM most nights of the week so I don’t have a whole lot of time to cook. So I saw Hello fresh and decided to try it out. The first year was pretty good, The meals were somewhat good. I have never tried any of the “premium” Meals so I can't offer any thoughts on that. It got pretty irritating recently though which led to me eventually cancelling the subscription: 1. The chicken specifically always had a weird smells as if it was packaged in the last possible minute of freshness. I never could fully trust that the chicken is 100% fresh and edible and sometimes I threw it out because I couldn’t trust it. The weird smell and somewhat slimy texture just didn’t sit with me right. 2. CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The week before I cancelled my subscription I had never received my box. I added one of the market items since I was planning on having a couple friends over for a night. However, I never got the box. When I had reported that and talked to an agent they gave me 10$ credit for SHIPPING costs. They never resent another box or anything at all so I paid them 50$ for nothing. I was somewhat irritated but I enjoyed some of the meals coming up so I decided to give them another chance only to ONCE AGAIN! Not get the box at all.

Tracking is Seriously Lacking. There isn’t any accuracy with regard to the delivery status depicted within the app. There also isn’t any kind of reliable estimate. Given the delivery fee, this is unacceptable. There is no pattern to the delivery. Sometimes it’s the day before, sometimes it’s at 7am, sometimes it’s 11pm, sometimes it’s late the next day. My latest order has been listed as “delivered” since yesterday but the box never came. The estimated date of delivery changed by an entire day without any notification. It’s been in transit for 36 hours? We have our box delivered on Sunday so that we can use it the next day and because of the late delivery Monday we have had to make new dinner plans which is the entire point for us ordering this in the first place. Food quality wise: we have stopped ordering recipes with carrots since they are never fresh. We also stopped using all of the pre-made sauces like the bulgogi sauce, red pepper crema, demi-glace, etc. and anything using jam due to their sugar content. Love the little bottles of vinegar or oil. The quality of the shrimp and scallops are absolutely perfect. I have been consistently happy with the quality of the proteins. The quality of the spices and dairy products have also always been great. However, spice blends with cornstarch should really be clearly advertised as such.

2 Concerns. So I have 2 problems with HelloFresh. 1. They limit weekly options. They have a whole slew of recipes we can choose from but they only let us select from a minimal list each week. Some recipes I would want to do again but don’t have the option and some recipes they give me I wouldn’t select because of my personal taste. There have been a few instances where I had trouble selecting my meal plan bc of this. 2. No option to remove certain foods. If I have have a dislike for a certain food I can’t remove that as an option. What if I like a meal but don’t like a certain vegetable. Or as an example: I don’t like spicy food but there’s no option to opt out of receiving spicy food options (unless I’m just not seeing it. This plus the aforementioned problem makes meal planning challenging at times. Other than this I’ve really enjoyed the service. There are some meals I didn’t like but that’s bc of personal preference. The food is good quality minus the occasional veggie that looks a little banged up & the instructions are easy to follow. As someone who has limited experience/is intimidated by cooking, I’ve found this to be very doable.

Excellent. Excellent food service!! I chose the Classic Meals which is 3 meals for a family of 4. There are 5 in my family 3 adults and one child. Most of the time my 20 year old son isn’t home so i decided i would try Hello Fresh. Haha every time i have fixed a meal he has been home and there has been PLENTY of food for all of us and NO WASTE!!! I love how everything is there to cook a meal with and i dont have to buy a 5 pound bag of potatoes for just a few or a whole canister of chicken broth and only use a 1/4 cup. NO WASTE!!! I love how easy it is to choose meals. I wish we could order more bread with each meal and i wish we could choose what veggies we would like with each meal as some of my family will not eat sweet potatoes or cooked carrots, or we get tired of roasted green beans but other than that its amazing!! I love being able to cook and not make a big mess in the kitchen..my family loves that fact too...lol...i love that we are never eating the same thing from week to week as we would if i were buying groceries weekly. The service is very easy and i have been able to choose what day my payment comes out and can skip every other week.

Making my life easier. This has changed my life for the better. I am not a great cook, but I can follow directions. This is exactly what I need. I’m not the type that can whip something together with the ingredients from my fridge. It’s never gonna happen. I need a recipe and all the ingredients to cook it. This brings simplicity to my life. All the food is there, the recipe is there, I’m there! And viola dinner is made for my family. I can get as many dinners as I want. I also like they have options to choose from for simple lunches. Wait for it…they also have other grocery items. Can get pricey but I remember that the packaging is always perfect with the recyclable ice packs and cardboard. The produce is the freshest. The meat is better than grocery stores. The portions are on point. I don’t over eat and my plate is licked clean at the end of the meal. NO FOOD WASTE! I love HelloFresh. I have tried another meal service like this and it had a lot of Asian dishes. I love the variety you can find on HelloFresh. Pasta dishes, Mexican dishes, steak, chicken, shrimp, burgers. I also like the recipes. I step outside my comfort zone and make something I would of never of made with the same ingredient. I’m gonna say it again. I love HelloFresh.

Chicken quesadilla recipe, pita lit on actual fire!. I really like hello fresh. I’m just disappointed in the way they handled my concern. I reported that I followed the recipe to a T, I always do. I put the quesadilla in the oven, not even 2 minutes when I noticed the oven smoking. I opened the oven and the pitas were on fire. We didn’t know what to do that my bf grabbed the baking sheet to take it out of the oven and burned his hand. I reported this through chat, hoping for something- anything. But the agent just said “I’m so sorry about that”. Only when prompting the agent to report this issue to higher ups did the agent say, I already reported it. Only when I was showing my frustration that he/she didn’t seem to care did he/she give me a $10credit. Which honestly, the gauze & ointment cost more than that. I wasn’t really looking for any credit/money, I just wanted them to take the concern seriously- but I am disappointed with the way they handled it. The agent told me that we are in a pandemic and they are doing their best. Which I felt was very sarcastic because yes, I’m in NY, the thick of it all, I am well aware that is why I’m not going out and ordering from hello fresh. We were worried the burns were gonna get infected, we didn’t want to go to ER because of covid. We couldn’t simply buy bandage and supplies because of covid. Just sharing this so maybe this reaches more than just the ears of the agent.

Need Family Plan for 3. Love HelloFresh as I don't have to decide what to cook on a nightly basis. This takes the guesswork out of what ingredients to buy for the dish and how to prepare it since buying ingredients on your own may prove to be a waste especially for seasoning, spices and non-common items. I have a family of 3 but am unfortunately paying into the family plan for 4 since family plan for 2 is not enough to feed a grown man and a pre-teen adolescent. Once in a while, I'll get the wrong meal or some critical item is missing to complete cooking the meal. The major complaint I have is their delivery vendor ocassionally dropping it off to the wrong neighbor. At my old residence, I lived in a bad neighborhood so I never saw those boxes. Now that I'm at a very nice, more upscale neighborhood, the neighbors always return packages to their rightful owner. The app is easy to use, has notifications to let you know when to pick your weekly meals, has built in cooking instructions, and you can foresee future meals to choose from up to a few weeks in advance. The downside that the developers should note is to add the "gourmet" meal charge to the meal you selected so you know which meal will contain the additional cost that's taken out separately, and to have a feature that lets you know when your promotional period is over. These unknown charges took me by surprise so I had to contact HelloFresh to breakdown what they were for.

Unreliable. The first box I ordered was supposed to be here on Friday 7/24. It just arrived today Tuesday 7/28. All the food was spoiled. I contacted the company several times which is not an easy process. Hold times for calling them are over 40 minutes. I hung up after that. Reached out to them through chat which also has a very long hold time because while you’re waiting it says connection lost every a couple of minutes. I wasn’t able to track the box after Friday. It showed it had been scanned in Kentucky and that was the last update. Chat support on Saturday assured me the box would be here Monday and everything would still be fresh. It was not delivered until today and everything in the box was room temperature. I cancelled the service Monday evening after waiting for close to an hour to chat with someone AGAIN. At that point I knew this service was not reliable and I wasn’t willing to wait indefinitely for the box to actually be delivered (to see if it was edible) and then have to go through the process of contacting the company again. Hello fresh was such a let down. It’s not convenient when I put out $200 of my grocery budget and then do all my dinner planning and grocery shopping excepting those meals to be here on a particular day and then they show up warm 4 days late. Oh and it’ll be 3 to 5 business days before you can get your money refunded. Didn’t take you 3-5 days to take my money.

Amazing meals, easy to use app. I give both the app and the service 5 stars. It’s easy to use, easy to pick what meals you want, and my box shows up every week. It’s easy to “pause” the service if you don’t want any meals that week, and it’s also easy to reduce or increase the number of meals for the week. Heck, even the cost is reasonable. It’s less than what you’d pay at a restaurant, but these are restaurant quality ingredients and meals. While you MIGHT be able to piece together SOME of the meals by individually buying the ingredients, they include lots of sides and spices that you wouldn’t normally have on hand, meaning you’d have to buy whole packages of ingredients you won’t use often to duplicate most meals - and it’s extra work. The produce and meat they send is high quality and seems very fresh. I will say that the total cook time is usually a little longer than they say (I probably average an hour for meals they say 40 minutes for), but if you’re a seasoned cook you might be able to get them done more quickly. It’s not an issue if you plan for it. HelloFresh also made me a better cook outside of the service. I often use the spice and ingredient combos that I never would gave thought of as inspiration for my own cooking.

Ok, not long term. First, I completely dislike that I picked pork free recipes, and yet, pork or pork products (sausage) show up in my weekly choices for meals. What’s the point of having that option if you aren’t going to honor it!? Second, I started this meal plan because planning dinners plus after school activities was getting overwhelming. So it’s nice that at least twice a week, my meals are pre planned and shopped for BUT the portions are too small! My young boys have huge appetites, so I need to buy an extra pound of protein and extra veggies. No, I don’t want to buy the extras from HelloFresh because that brings me to my third point... Third, I have received protein flattened by the ginormous ice bricks that are shipped with the box. A lot of veggies are broken in transit. Most veggies are on the older side of fresh. Carrots should not bend when you are trying to peel them. Fourth, I was really hoping that HelloFresh would be a healthier option than fast food. Then I really sat down to read the ingredients. There is High Fructose Corn Syrup and Corn Syrup in their condiments. Their spice packets have “spices” as an ingredient which could be just about anything. I’ve been doing twice a week HelloFresh deliveries for about a month now. I’m probably going to deactivate my plan soon. There’s a couple more recipes that I want to try. This meal plan isn’t saving me money or time, or helping my family be healthier, like I was hoping.

App could use an upgrade…. I am still a fairly new HF user, and I haven’t had a “bad” experience-yet. I have noticed that the app is not very user friendly. They give you “rewards” but the is no dedicated section or tab to click on to view them. When you finally find where to view them you just get the option to “learn more” or “activate rewards.” You cannot actually view them or definitively add them to a box. Mine are already activated but they do not automatically sync to the next box, or any box for that matter. I had a free vanilla cheesecake to add to an order but every week I try to use it, they don’t even offer it as a dessert! If you try to review your discounts or rewards while selecting your meals, good luck. You have to back alllll the way out and “discard” any changes instead of just being able to add the reward in the same spot you choose your meals. I feel the the “rewards” are a total scam and I have yet to actually redeem one. Once my 15 free meal discount is up, I will probably cancel the service as it will be too expensive to be justified. I only order 4 meals a week, with a free breakfast add on (which is really just a snack, not a meal) and it is just under $100. Once the discount is up it will be well over that. I know the convenience of it being delivered adds value but the portions are too small to consider this a deal over regular grocery shopping.

Great Meal Service. I absolutely love using hello fresh - I love the food (I have not been disappointed in any dishes yet), I love how easy it is (step by step, 30 minute-ish recipes), and it’s reasonably priced. The app itself is great since it’s easy to manage your subscription/skip weeks, its easy to choose upcoming meals, it’s easy to review past meals. Overall the app is intuitive and makes it easy for me as a customer. However, I really wish the app gave you more transparency about what they’re charging you. In general the only place to see pricing is to go into settings and look at the different subscription options, but it only tells you the shipping cost there. Other than that, when you choose your meals for a week it gives you a grand total, but it’s never broken down in any way. I’d like to be able to see how much each meal is and how much shipping is separately without having to log onto the full website or look at my bank statements. For example, I actually have no idea what my cost per meal is, only the total. Granted, the price is pretty much the same every week, but at first I started to get worried because I didn’t have any idea what I was being charged and had a hard time finding the total price.

I Love Hello Fresh. I REALLY love these boxes & I Love the food being delivered with everything we need. My ONLY problem is we’ve had 2 boxes that called for Tie chili’s 🌶 with that sign on the recipe card & there was no Tie 🌶 in 2 boxes. I called & told them & I (THINK) they credited my account somehow. I don’t have proof of that. Now not this week but last week 1 of the recipe called for green beans. Now for that 1 it was a full course of the meal. I ended up using my own fresh veggie I had in my fridge. My Dad passed here in my house. They moved in with me 5 months ago & with hospice’s help I was taking care of them & my Das took a turn quickly &’we lost him. Right after that I knew we needed help & Hello Fresh was the perfect Fresh change & MUCH needed help !!! I’m not sure if the chills were credited or if I can even call or if it’s too late now with the green beans !!!!????? I have to say, even with those couple of mess ups, we still appreciate the help & most of the meals come out EXCELLENT !!! I’d refer (Have) refereed all my friends & family !! Wish I could get credit for free boxes of food I’ve sent to family !! They loved it & I think 1 or 2 or 3 ended up ordering more after seeing how convenient Hello Fresh is !!!!

Ridiculous Portion sizes. I was not happy to receive my box meant for 2 people with only enough sides for one. There was only enough meat for 2. The amount I received of everything else must based off some ridiculously small portion size. If it wasn’t so expensive it would be laughable. Did this save me money, no. Definitely not. Purchased at the store may have cost me more money up front but there would be leftovers that route at least. Did this save me time, also no. Because I had to go to the store for more of xyz because there isn’t enough of each ingredient to realistically feed 2 adults. So it took me longer and the food had to sit longer before being cooked because I had to ensure I had enough to feed the other person too. Is it convenient? No, not really. The meal choices are pretty set in stone. Don’t like a side? Allergic? Sorry that’s what comes period. The extras you can add on are grocery store quality and the “garlic bread” loaf is smaller than a foot long from subway. Quality ingredients? That’s a joke. There’s nothing sprecial about this other than being ripped off. Wanna cancel? Good luck I hope you’re good at googling because there’s no clear way to do it unless you know exactly where to go. You’re charged almost immediately after receiving your precious box for the next one so that they’ve got a constant stream of cash from you. Just don’t.

HelloFresh may have saved my life. A sickly individual and in need of nutrition and during COVID times I found I could not put together healthy meal options at the supermarket because of rushing to get what I needed. So more often than not I would rush to get processed foods and not really spend the time to think what I was eating. HelloFresh made eating healthier food easier and I may have never, in my life, bothered to get all the ingredients together for a Beef Ragu, or a Mexican Enchilada, or the wherewithal to know how to do it. HelloFresh made it so I could just grab a bag and have everything I needed, and if I wanted to augment or enhance an ingredient in a dish I would buy it that week at the supermarket as I was rushing through. Not buying in bulk and not having to eat the same thing 4 times in a week or having stuff rot really did save money. And for the most part the quality was really good. I never got a box that I felt had got too warm. On occasion I got an ingredient that I felt wasn’t top notch but I didn’t say anything. I felt like the pasta and sauces, and the recipes themselves were exceptionally good.

I’m learning to cook!. Hello Fresh is reasonable in price and gives you a letter size, double sided, detailed instructions in color on what ingredients are included in each meal so you don’t have to shop or look in your pantry for anything. Everything is inside the meal bag. I love the way it tells you step-by-step what you should be doing even if you’re multitasking, it shows you how to multitask meal prep. For example, I’ve always sautéed onions until they were transparent and to me I thought that was caramelized onions. No it’s not fresh instructions told me sautéing and then add a little bit of sugar in a splash of water and then when I tasted the onions, it was absolutely delicious and I thought “oh that’s how you do it !” This may sound elementary if you are a foodie chef type but I am not, I’ve never worked in a commercial kitchen nor have I had to cook on a daily basis for a large family so it is really fun to learn new cooking techniques with their guided instruction. Plus HelloFresh is very flexible so you get to choose whether you want meal bags once a week twice a month or even once a month or even if you’re on vacation. They are very easy to work with. Highly recommended!

very good concept, but the app itself needs work.. I am a blind screen reader user and I have a full-time job and run an extremely busy and chaotic household and we're always on the go. I've been trying to make better food choices for my family because we have a lot of health problems in our genetics. This kit system is expensive but it's worth it. i commute to and from work and work very long days. We got so tired of ordering Uber Eats and Doordash every time I have to commute to/from work because we don't have time to cook. I've only been cooking with Hello Fresh for a few weeks, and this is my 3rd box. The app is only semi-accessible with the iPhone's VoiceOver screen reader, and so I accidentally picked a premium meal that sounded amazing. I have very picky eaters in my household, some with food alergies, and only one meal dissatisfied. I wish they would make the premium meals and the ones the cost more money per serving more obvious to users of screen readers. If you're blind/visually impaired and want to use this app independently, you can, but you'll want to ask for sighted feedback to make sure you're not picking something really expensive by accident and run up a massive bill. before your weekly deadline

100% WORTH IT!. If I were getting just one perk from my HelloFresh plan, I may have given up on it after a few weeks - but when I say this service is an all-around score, I mean it. It eliminates the daily “what are we going to make for dinner tonight?” question, and the stress of having to figure it out or make a special trip to the grocery store after a long days work. It’s so extremely CONVENIENT. Also, I truly consider it a perk because it creates somewhat of a “date night” for my boyfriend and I. We usually cook the meals together so in lieu of taking a cooking class, we get the opportunity to experiment with a variety of fun and exciting meals and cook them right in the comfort of our home. We have so much fun cooking together and it’s definitely a new way to bond, learn about each other, and grow as a couple. And let’s not forget the most amazing perk......THE MEALS ARE DELICIOUS!!!! I’m not kidding. So many nights we’ll sit down to eat and think “there’s no way this one can top the last one” and then 1 bite in, we’re mind blown. HelloFresh gives you literally everything you’d want from a delivery meal service. If you’re thinking about trying it, don’t question yourself. It’s 100% worth giving a shot. Chances are....you’ll end up loving it as much as we do :)

Variety is truly the spice of life!. After cooking for a family of 5 for 18 years it was challenging to scale back to just cooking for two when the kids went off to work or school. My shopping list was always the same, boring! With the pandemic and being diagnosed with cancer my kids got me started on different meal plans. One had food already prepared and just needed heated and served. It was not any better than TV dinners from my youth days and I hated those. Then I tried Hello Fresh. I have a seafood allergy so it is great I get to have so many meals to choose from. Many spices I have never tried and cooking combinations that are new to me but easy and fun to help me out of my comfort zone. My husband and I still like our ‘boring meals’ once in a while but these meals offer a change of taste without tons of labor and prepping or having a huge investment in stuff I might never use again (spices, dressings etc) I have gotten many friends started on these meals and my very picky older brother and his wife are my latest converts. Having kids working in the food industry, they were very protective of me during chemo and radiation therapy so eating at restaurants was not an option. These meals are good tasting, and no more expensive than a modest restaurant meal without leaving home. And I don’t feel compelled to leave a huge tip so we save money using this service!

App Is Streamlined and Sophisticated. I never review apps. I was so impressed with this app that I wanted to share my experience. The app was surprisingly streamlined and exceedingly easy to use. I am able to quickly and easily manage, pause, or change my weekly deliveries. It is simple to update my menu selections week by week. I like that it is not difficult to pause or cancel your deliveries as needed; unlike with other companies, it is very transparent and there are no hoops to jump through. My favorite feature is the cookbook. You can save the recipes that you like into the cookbook for reference again in the future, or if you loose the recipe card that arrives with the delivery. This way, you can make the recipe again, even on your own if you are no longer having food delivered. You are able to select the number of servings you want to make and the ingredients automatically adjust. The ingredients are shown by picture and title in an easy to follow format. The app walks you through the recipe in a user friendly fashion that is far easier to follow as compared to googling a recipe and scrolling through some blog to a confusing, difficult to follow recipe. Without discussing Hello Fresh's ingredients, delivery, and recipes (all of which I am very pleased with), I highly recommend the app itself to customers wanting to get the most out of their subscription.

No videos to show you how to prep and cook the food. if you were like me, and do not like/enjoy cooking then this probably is not the app that you want. I assume that they would've been videos showing and talking me through this. I don’t know but I’m ready for tomorrow to be here so I can call customer support and hopefully they’ll cancel that order. One box is said that one of the things it’s gonna take 25 minutes to cook well it took me over an hour to cook it because I don’t know half of what they were telling me in the directions and there’s no videos. There has got to be a better app than this . so that I could follow along. That’s actually why I decided to order from this app. Somehow or another I got confused because there are no videos. I like using my 9-n-1 air fryer. Even pizza rolls tell you how to cook them in the air fryer but none of these meals that are available can be cooked in an air fryer? I do not like cooking at all. I can I can’t ever come up with something to cook. which is why I tried this out. The first box was what it was $30 little bit more and three meals. That’s fine. I only cooked one throwaway the other two. And now I have four incoming meals and stuff added on that I don’t recall wanting for this next week and it’s also telling me that I can’t delay, the delivery when it hasn’t even been shipped yet

Delicious Meals. I didn’t know what to expect, then upon receiving my first order was delightfully surprised. When I opened the box each meal individually package, labeled and literally everything you need to make the dinner. Recipe cards with step by step instructions included. This is not only a great way to try something new daily but also help get your teens in the kitchen to be creative! Cooking was a challenge trying to figure out what to make each night. Now it’s super Simple to decide. On site there are selected meals, but you can change them with a simple click, save and your order is on its way. I choose Monday rather then Thursday for delivery then we have great meals through the week and whatever we eat in the run on weekends. Honestly in choosing I went with 2 people 4 recipes to try it while our teen was at camp. We couldn’t believe how much food it made, plenty for 3 depending on which dinner could be 4! I’ve told several friends and family whom many have also started with Hello Fresh everyone Loves it and has Thanked me several times. Thank you Hello Fresh team for simplifying my life and bringing my family Farm to Table Wonderful Meals. Thanks to the Creators and the Chefs as well. I am and will continue to be a loyal Hello Fresh member!

When you can’t agree on what to eat. Where do I start? I have been a Hellofresh customer for a couple few months now. I have come to realize that these meals that you cook with step by step directions are in fact chef prepared meals. Once I let my 15 yr daughter start making dinner. First off it comes out perfect If you follow the directions and as a helpful hint have everything prepped before you start. The sauces that you will make will surprise everyone! I love Hellofresh for the freshest ingredients. 2. The portions are just what you need. When you open the bag, everything is there! You don’t have to run to the store cause you forgot something. 3. It’s a home cooked meal better than any take out fast food. 4. It’s good for you food to eat. Not frozen. Very fresh 5. I love the communication app so you can see what’s coming next. Big variety of different meals to choose from every week! I have had zero problems with Hellofresh and one last thing. I get 4 different meals every week. Each meal serves 4 people. It cost about $120 a week. Think about that. 16 servings for about $7.50 each!! Of a home cooked meal??

My experience. I’ve had some friends try hello fresh and recommend it to me, so I decided to give it a try. I’ve already done the same service with other apps as well, so I knew what to expect ,a box comes in the mail, you open it and put the ingredients in the fridge. The first package I tried was missing the seasoning packet, I was okay with it, the food was bland though. Then the next packet had a busted sour cream packet the busted and was everywhere. I washed the ingredients, and the onion was also going bad. The third packet was fine, so I tried to give it another week. The second week I had the onion rotting and sour cream packet leaking again. I was quite upset, it takes a long time for onions to go bad, so they must’ve known what they were sending. I canceled the plan after that, but it didn’t cancel, the next week I was charged the amount and was sent the worst one. The third week I was sent food thinking it was canceled. In the box there was some chicken in plastic, so I put it in the fridge. The next day I see the packet is leaking and is on all my food. I was very upset, I had to cancel the plan again. I’m giving it two stars because the food wasn’t horrible, except one time I put a burger bun in a toaster oven, and it honestly smelled like dog or cow feces. I couldn’t tell where the smell came from until I took a bite. Now that I remember that I’m changing it to one star.

Bad Experience Before Ever Getting Food. Disclaimer: More a review of Hello Fresh than just the app itself. I decided to cancel before my first meal after realizing managing deliveries felt like it might end up being a hassle for me (not their fault). But when I went to try to go to my account settings to cancel it just kept reloading the same page, not letting me go there. Being I made the order on my Apple ID and Apple Pay, switching to another device to try and cancel there would be a hassle so I used their chat function to chat with someone. I specifically stated that I did not wish to receive any offers to stay and wanted to cancel immediately, my first delivery and my account. I instead speak another 20-30 minutes having those requested ignored, wasting my time. I understand the help people are likely trained to sell things and make offers but when I presumptively state not to do that, that’s just going against my wishes. So I don’t think Hello Fresh as a whole is had, I imagine it could be great for those whose lifestyle it complements. So I don’t want to dismiss them completely but the glitches I experienced trying access my setting to cancel and the bad/slow support was enough for me to want to share my experience

Can’t rave enough. Hello Fresh is amazing. I also subscribed to other meal delivery plans to compare and Hello Fresh is the winner. The recipes are delicious and simple enough for me, a non-cook. I haven’t been to buy groceries at a store except for a quick gallon of milk or the non-food necessities, so my budget hasn’t changed. The price seemed high at first glance, but since I don’t go shopping I quit buying stuff I didn’t need. Now I eat real food - real GOOD food. The portion sizes looked small when I got the first box but I’ve been using Hello Fresh for several weeks now and I’ve been feeding myself and two teenagers sufficiently with a 2 serving size selection. So it’s not small, it’s perfectly sized. When I feed only two of us, we are really full. Now I look forward to my box every week and I have really grown in my kitchen skills. I thought I would save the recipe cards and buy the ingredients to make them again, but it’s so nice that they give me exactly the right portions every time, I haven’t needed or wanted to go grocery shopping myself to remake the past recipes. I just look forward to choosing them again sometime. However, there are so many to choose from I don’t think I’ve had the same dish twice in the 6 weeks I’ve been getting Hello Fresh.

It’s great WHEN you receive your box. Their 3rd party delivery service is a huge problem. WHEN I receive my box, the food is great. Their 3rd party delivery service is AWFUL. I have had over 15 issues with my box from being left on a public sidewalk, dropped outside the gates, delivered to the wrong apartment complex, delivered to the wrong apartment number, and lastly delivered to the parcel locker, but assigned to the wrong tenant. I have complained multiple times and asked for someone to fix the problem, yet i continue to have ridiculous issues. The delivery instructions could not be more clear and they even have my number listed to assist them - yet I have never received a call for assistance from the deliverer- which could have solved all these issues. Their delivery service is lazy and completely unreliable and HelloFresh continues to hear my complaints, and does nothing to resolve the issue. I’ve emailed, called, left messages and have never once been reached out to. They just continue to send me discounts as an apology. They really need to get a more reliable delivery service instead of having customer service constantly giving discounts with failed promises to fix it next time. It’s extremely frustrating to pick out meals and have your dinners planned, to then have to make an extra trip to the store and spend the money you’ve already spent on groceries for the week.

Not worth the money. I start red hello fresh about a week ago. I’m an 18 year old girl who wants to eat better to lose weight. So I get a box but I realize that it’s a little too pricey for me which is definitely ok some ppl can’t pay for the excessive amount of money they want you to pay every week. So I try to cancel my box I look up anything that can help me but it all says the same thing go to account settings, menu, scroll down and press cancel plan. But I’m not even given that option I press account settings all it has is my account password and my personal info. So I’m not even given the opportunity to cancel. So this morning around 4 in the morning hello fresh tomorrow took $98 out of my account. So at this point I’m livid because I’ve been trying to stop all money transactions from happening. So I try the chat doesn’t work and I finally go on the app I’m pressing every button hoping it’ll bring me to something that can help. I go to the terms and conditions and I scroll and see an email I tried sending an email 4 times and each time it told me it couldn’t send bc the email did not exist or wasn’t receiving emails. Why would you have an accessible email that doesn’t work. And not only that it says to deactivate your subscription to email the one provided. I’m all out of ideas so I will be calling to talk with someone because this is ridiculous.

HelloFresh makes me proud of myself. I have been enjoying HelloFresh for over a year now. I was stuck in my simple sandwich for dinner routine and wanted to actually try cooking. I have been so surprised that I was able to create these meals. In the beginning, I made mistakes, burned a few things, and got tired of the clean up, but I always come back to HelloFresh. Now I’m on the veggie plan and I’m finally starting to really enjoy being in the kitchen. I’m fast and swift with the clean up and my meals are ready and eaten within an hour. I have duplicated my recipes and find that I really enjoy the grocery shopping as well. HelloFresh has taught me how to pair ingredients to make a really lovely and simple dish, as well as cooking techniques that I have never considered. Because I have gone to the store and bought the same items, I’m pleased that the price point is accurate considering it shows up all ready and right on the doorstep. As long as there are new recipes to try, I highly recommend and will continue to use HelloFresh. It took me cooking my siblings dinner for them to give it a try! They were beside themselves that the dish was so tasty and now they have joined. So give it a try! Once you taste the food that you have made, you will be hooked!

It just works!. Two things: My husband travels a lot now which leaves just two to feed and I loath deciding what to cook each a week and then shopping for ingredients. Hello Fresh makes my life easier for cooking! I work at my daughter’s school, so when we get home, it’s in the late evening and I’m tired, but I’m willing to cook us a meal that tastes like we went to a 4-5 star restaurant to eat 4 nights a week!! It sure does beat running to the grocery store last minute after work. The meals are healthy and the portions are perfect for us. Sometimes we might have a little but left over for a 2 person meal and that’s fine. I love not having to figure out portions and find recipes that are healthy. You have to cook the meals that week so your produce doesn’t go bad. And I love hearing my 12 yr old tell me that dinner smells SO good and she also loves the taste. The plan is reasonably priced and I saved gas too! The other plans are around the same price, so unless you want to complain about how expensive it is, may I suggest you give this a try and then you can be the judge. Thank you Hello Fresh! The only thing I would change and I have shared this with HF, I would add the option to chance meal plans on the app as long as you’re not canceling it. To chance plans, you have to call in. CS was friendly and helpful and if they never add that feature, oh well. I will use Hello Fresh as long as the Good Lord blesses us!

No more thinking. I am loving Hello Fresh and it’s ease. Well, you still have to chop, dice, slice and peel - but I don’t have to meal plan and I don’t have to shop. And now everyone in the house can cook and it doesn’t just fall on me since I’m “the mom.” And for the price of a fast food meal, we get fresh and healthy. My only feedback to the company is: it would be nice to be able to double or triple order the same meal in a week. Sometimes I’d like to have my favorites more than once a week, or to be able to make/freeze. So having the option to select how many meals, rather than just one of each item. And since the new year is coming - I’d like to be able to have low carb or keto meals available. I know there are calories smart, which are tasty, but low carb is different. i also like that they are adding breakfast, lunch and desert options as well. Anyway I love the food and the customer service is great. Only one time did a meal miss some items and customer service made it right immediately. (You have to dig a little to find customer service tho). And my friends who have tried other company all say HF is the best.

should I cancel?. I have been getting the hellofresh boxes since January of 2019 and I had no issues until now. I read lots of reviews where people were completely missing their boxes and I honestly thought that was crazy and a lie. But I was suppose to receive my box on Tuesday, the shipping was changed to Wednesday which is okay, I can wait a day late. The tracking said “in transit” for a whole 24 hours. I called hellofresh customer service where the man told me that I should wait until 8pm on Wednesday and if my box is still not at my door I should call back Thursday morning (not helpful). So i waited until 6pm on Wednesday and called FedEx to see if my box was in their possession. FedEx then tells me the shipper still has me box and they never received it. I then called hellofresh customer service again to tell them what FedEx told me. The lady said she will fill a report and either give me a free box or just refunded me for the missing box but she can’t do both. I then get transferred to a supervisor, he was very rude and basically told me it’s not their fault and they can’t do much. I am getting my 47$ refund but NO box, NO credit or discount on any other boxes. The customer service is very unhelpful and I am unhappy with the whole experience. Looking into new services and waiting for my refund then canceling. THANKS FOR NOTHING HELLOFRESH!

Food review. We have been very optimistic ally pleased with almost every dinner that we have received so far ! Only one box was delivered late amd the food had sat out so long the bags were melted and we pretty much had to throw the whole thing away. Other than a few items missing here and there and food cards not being put in the boxes. The food itself overwhelmingly exceeded what we ever expected. It is absolutely delicious. I would recommend this to any one I know. I thought it was kind of pricey at first but soon realized I was barely going to the market and when I did I ran in and out and followed my list and that saved me a ton of money. Also we used to eat out a lot because we were never prepared and now we have everything always prepared at our fingertips and ready to goAnf you can choose how long you want your meal to take on how hard of a day you have had and they are all as equally delicious. I am usually very stingy with my stars but even with the few mishaps I’m still giving them 5*! Great idea, great food, great value and great job getting your family around the table again!!!

No regrets. I admittedly don’t cook as often as I should. However, in the interest of hoping to take better care of my diet and get my weight under control, I signed up for HelloFresh a few months ago and I’m so glad I did. Using it has forced me to start cooking at home more frequently, which has saved me money at the grocery store. Now I only have to worry about shopping for foods for breakfast and lunch. At the same time, the money I spend for each weeks meals is far less than I would spend going out to eat like I was doing before. Before I started using HelloFresh, I only could cook about three or four recipes well. I don’t want to eat the same thing all the time, so it’s nice to have a great variety of food to pick from. And the portion sizes are great. It’s just me and my husband, and we are never left hungry after dinner. We are always stuffed, I feel a lot more confident in the kitchen since I started using it. If you’re like me, and not much of a cook, this is a great way to build your confidence and get you cooking. Oh, and I have lost a few pounds since I started using HelloFresh. Not a lot, but enough to get me motivated!

Horrible customer service. If I could leave zero stars I would. When I first started using hello fresh they had the absolute best customer service. I raved to people about how amazing all of it was but best of all how they treated their customers. Now!? Ha . Good luck. They are horrible. I was out of town, sitting in a hospital while my grandma was dying , trying to cancel my box and getting interrogated on why I wasn’t going to be home to receive my box. That’s none of their business but he surly made it his business and asked me over and over again about what I was doing. After being busy from that I forgot to cancel my box and got charged for another. I asked to cancel the box coming and the whole subscription and I was told I couldn’t cancel the box coming. When asked if they could apply my credit on my account since the food coming wasn’t going to be enough for my current household I also got told no and that since it’s a credit I also do not get that money back. After also being cut off multiple times by the customer service rep I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I had to schedule a time with one. I’m not one to complain as I have worked in customer service my whole life but I will not ever be a customer with this place again.

For our situation....perfection.. So I see a lot of reviews online to the tune of “I can grocery shop cheaper”, “the portions are too small”, and “you’re just too lazy to cut coupons”. The truth of the matter is, all of those are true....sorta. I despise grocery shopping and meal planning, so Hello Fresh works for me. I’m not trying to eat 1000 calories per serving, so Hello Fresh works for me. And I will gladly admit I’m much too lazy to search for coupons each week for the grocery shopping I loathe to do, so Hello Fresh works for me. That being said, there are only two of us and we both work long hours, so the fact that we don’t have a ton of left over ingredients laying around to go bad in the fridge is an added bonus....For us. The delivery has always been efficient, the portions are plenty fine for a normal appetite (not someone used to 48 wings, loaded cheese fries, and six 16 oz beers), and the app is easy to use. Meals run about 20 bucks each and I’m ok with that. If you’re not ok with 20 bucks on two people, love to grocery shop, like cutting coupons, have an extensive recipe book, and generally a lot of time on your hands...Hello Fresh may not be for you.

Not the quality it used to be!. Have been using Hello Fresh for quite awhile now, a number of years & Havesince covid pandemic, we have seen price go up & quality go down. Sad, because this has been a meal company that was top rated for us. Now, not so much. Food quality has gone down, freshness is missing many times in an order. Sometimes when opening the box, you can tell there was a lack of care in putting things in. We get 3 meals for two a week & it seems they have changed quality & amount of the meat entree in a way that is barely enough per person. The vegetables are not always as fresh as one would expect & many times things go missing. We used to get a discount because my husband is a veteran, but only for a year. Now he is retired, we are older & on a fixed income. It is expensive to say the least to buy groceries & also have a meal service like Hello Fresh, however, if the quality & quantity were as they were before pandemic, we would continue to subscribe. Now, though, we feel we need to just buy our groceries, only. Like so many things, we just can’t afford Hello Fresh.

Scam. Major scam.. I have been a customer of hello fresh for over a year- and while this company seems great they are scam artists at their finest. I was given a hello fresh gift card of $60, purchased (with receipt) at target. They won’t take it. Never took it. I ordered anyway since it was conviennent. No issues for a while, until about a month ago. My box i paid $73 for never got delivered. So my account was credited rather than refunded. I was told it would apply to the next box- it didn’t. They charged me another $73 which caused my account to overdraft (I budgeted for the credit to cover my meals for the week). I called and had them cancel that box and refund since they were suppose to use the credit. I have not been refunded yet (almost two weeks) and i was assured by the rep. That the credit would apply to the next box. Fine, I’ll try again. Checked my bank account, i was charged AGAIN and my credit (which is MY money, not a gift from them) has not been used because a “discount was applied”. What discount? i didn’t activate any. I budgeted again for my credit (MY MONEY) to pay for my meals. So now, I am out $200+ with no food deliveries and absolutely no support from customer service. Check other reviews, you’ll find im not the only one with these issues. This business is worth reporting to the BBB.

Great way to learn how to cook!. My girlfriend and I have been wanting to learn how to cook for a long time, but have been struggling to get motivated once we graduated college. We were indecisive, didn’t know what ingredients to get or where to store them in our small apartment, and found ourselves letting far too many groceries expire because we never used them. We decided to try HelloFresh, and it’s been amazing! Both of us now cook together three times a week, we’re learning a ton and the convenience of having the groceries and recipes delivered has been a huge time-saver (and nothing ever goes bad)! We’ve ever started trying to cook our own meals and recipes on nights we don’t have HelloFresh. It’s also been a wonderful way to try new foods and bring more culinary diversity to our lives, and the process of selecting the meals each week has become exciting even! Overall I couldn’t be more satisfied, the food is great and the recipes are clear even for complete novices. I used to joke that my cooking ability ranged from toast to scrambled eggs, but now I find myself having actual conversations about cooking with my peers! Couldn’t recommend this more!

Not a good program but quality food. I tried Hello Fresh but was extremely disappointed that I wasn’t allowed to change the meal choices in my first box. I ended up with 2 meals that I couldn’t eat so I had to give them away. I thought maybe it was due to a promo rate that I wasn’t allowed to change my meals so I decided to give them one more week to try. However even when paying full price, I wasn’t given the option to change my meals. I wasn’t even notified that my meals were being prepared for shipping. Trying to chat with customer service was difficult. I was left on long pauses and if my phone went to sleep, it would cut off the chat. Extremely disappointing program. I wasn’t even allowed to cancel this next set of three meals, even though they haven’t shipped yet. I’m now having to pay $60+ for 3 meal kits and I can’t eat any of them. HelloFresh only offered a discount on an order for a different week to make up for the problems. That doesn’t change the fact that I won’t have anything to eat next week since my grocery money is going to something I can’t eat. I would give them 2 stars because the ingredients are fresh and the instructions are easy to follow to prepare the meals. The overall program is just too horrible to provide a 2nd star for

Completely Happy with HelloFresh!!. Great quality food, great portion sizes (both meat and veggies), and fresh tasty and easy to follow recipes. We are 2, but we always get the 5 night 4 people box so that we have enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I already cook fresh at home every night anyway, but with HelloFresh not having to think what to cook and just having all the ingredients there and ready to go is great. They also regularly offer discount coupons, discounts or free boxes for friends or when referring friends, and 50% re-activation vouchers sometimes too. They also messed up the delivery day once too and gave me a free box to apologize. Very happy that I haven even tried Marley Spoon or other competitors.

Good until there is a problem.. App is functional if everything is going well with your deliveries. However on a couple of occasions I’ve had issues with Hello Fresh, typically the section to answers questions/issues does not do so and so you require to do online chat with somebody. On each occasion this has required me then to go outside the app to send emails with attachments. There needs to be a better system to allow you to automatically upload attachments in the app. On one occasion I needed to upload pics of bad products to prove the issue. On another case the person in chat was not actually listening to the problem and seemed to only have a script with one answer so kept circling back to that despite my assurance that what she was telling me was wrong and I could prove it. In the end out of frustration my only way to solve the problem was to email Hello Fresh with attachments.

Excellent. While in extended lockdown the weekly deliveries have been a welcome break. We have found that the meals encourage our teenage daughter to cook, even my husband is helping more. There is enough variety to stave off boredom and always enough left over for a light lunch. We have been so impressed we have decided to keep with the deliveries. We are on the 2 person plan but by adding extra veggies we can get enough for 3 people plus a school lunch. Our shopping bill is still the same but there is less waste. All meals fairly easy to make with the added bonus I now have help!

Beware they will not cancel your subscription. Have been trying to cancel, no customer service, don’t answer phones or online chats. So done with these online companies that have no accountability. This fact alone would be a reason not to get involved with this company. I keep getting deliveries I don’t want. Basic menu is repetitive, veggies always the same carrots sweet potatoes and potatoes. Quality is so so but I suspect from China not local, the food spoils within a day. Gourmet is ok but I can buy at my supermarket the same ingredients. Missing ingredients every week. While this service may be great for affluent working parents who don’t take the time out to shop and cook for their families I can’t see it working for anyone else.

So much better than initially expected!. I’ve been using HelloFresh for the last 4 months and I’m loving it! As a university student would, I first signed up when I received a discount voucher and got a little curious. The first box arrived with an amazing range of food, and the self-life is so a much longer than food bought ‘fresh’ at the supermarket. Each meal takes no longer than 45 minutes, taking off so much stress not having to rush to the supermarkets and put together meal plans for the week. Would highly recommend HelloFresh to anyone! Amazing value for money. Amazingly tasty dishes. And I’ve learnt so many more culinary skills through the different recipes! The environmentally savvy packaging and reduction in wastage due to portioned servings is also a massive bonus!

A lifesaver for a family with a newborn. We were gifted our first box just after we had our son. It was a lifesaver and we have been hooked ever since! HelloFresh saves time and energy for sleep deprived new parents. We have also tried so many new meals without food wastage or a pantry full of half used bottles of sauces and spices. The slightly higher cost of the box compared to our regular grocery shop doesn’t matter because we never have to think about what to have for dinner. Grocery shopping takes a fraction of the time when we know all our ingredients have been supplied in the correct portions. We are big fans of Hello Fresh!

Great help. This has been amazing for me. It has helped me get into a way better eating and lifestyle, I get a variety of meals that are restaurant quality and because it shows me how to cook it, I get to learn how to cook as well which has been amazing. It’s really helped me into eating more vegetables and trying new foods as i know whatever option I choose, it’s gonna taste great. Which has been a big plus and I’ve also been losing weight since joining the hello fresh program. I love the convenience of choosing what meals you would like, as it makes me more invested in the meals I’m getting. I could gush all day, but I would 10/10 recommend this.

My hubby is now the main cook in our home and when I come home after a long day at work it is the best tonic pick me up to have the lovely smells of delicious healthy food aromas wafting through our home. We don't have the waste as we did and save on buying take away meals. Our adult children originally introduced us to the HelloFRESH concept and have all commented on how healthy we look. Convenient, easy and tasty. I mostly love the convenience of hello fresh. It’s great that I don’t have to think about a food list each week. The recipes are tasty but if don’t weekly things can feel a bit same same with not a big variety of veggies and salads. The other downside is the amount of waste from packaging especially now the soft plastics can’t be recycled. We get the boxes every other week or so to give ourselves more variety and the price is value for money when it comes to time and convenience but you could do these meals yourself for much cheaper if you bought in bulk yourself. All this aside I love how easy it makes my meal planning for the week and the convenience.

App purposely designed so you can’t unsubscribe. I don’t usually post reviews but this app actually costs me money and is designed in a way where you have to go jump through hoops to unsubscribe. I did enjoy the service initially but it’s a really bad user experience when you can’t afford to keep up the subscription. You’re redirected to the website which prompts you for your login. The reset password option is a dead link that opens in the app and has no reset password page. I’m now stuck in a loop where I have to open the app every 3 weeks to skip the next delivery and if I miss that week, even on the lowest option, it’s cost me $75. Why is the reactivate subscription so easy but not the deactivate.

Shortcuts. We just love HelloFresh, ALL the meals have been delicious. I was wondering, when cooking in a frying you could save a few dirty bowls !! For example, cook the onion and garlic until fragrant, then add the meat, pork or whatever and brown than for a few minutes, then add grated or chopped vegetables and cook them until softened and then add sauces, herbs etc, rather than taking things out of the pan and putting them in a bowl, then cooking the meat etc. This works especially well for two people meals, even with four people meals a large pan will hold all the ingredients. Just a suggestion, thank you. ❤️😀

Definitely Recommend. Absolutely love Hello Fresh, my partner and I always struggled coming up with dinner ideas and got stuck in a boring routine of the same meals each night of the week. Hello Fresh takes the pain away of needing to decide last minute what we’re having and we try some fantastic meals we thought we’d never be able to cook. The best part is we actually save money by having no waste as the meals suit your family size. They’re servings are actually real human size servings! I highly recommend Hello Fresh to anyone. 2+ years of tasty meals. We receive the vegetarian box for two people. 3 meals per week suits us as we are not dedicated vegetarians but were wanting to reduce our red meat intake and increase vegetables. The use of fresh herbs and spices in most meals gives us a delicious meal every time. We have NEVER been disappointed. The step by step preparation guide is very easy to follow but I have not yet been able to serve the meal in the suggested prep/cook time. We need an extra 20 minutes. I enjoy the zero food wastage. If there is any of the meal leftover, it freezes well for lunches on another day. Skipping weeks is easy to do and reduced trips to the supermarket results in reduced spending.

I LOVE HELLO FRESH!. I used it when I was single and super busy because I still wanted to cook something when I lived in Melbourne... it rocked my world! Delicious food, simple to make, fun to cook, and life just gets simpler. I used it again in Brisbane and then convinced my new partner to try it... he also found it exceptional and was a convert. We then moved to South Golden Beach... and were sadly not in a zone to get the deliveries... UNTIL NOW! We’re back baby! Woot! We also love the new app, the fact you can change between plans from 2 to 4 people and between the food options PLUS you can choose which meals you want from a range of great options each week. *sigh of bliss* Thank You! ❤️👌

MISSED INGREDIENTS.. TWICE. 2/3 boxes had missing ingredients. The first box was missing tomato paste, I was in the middle of creating my meal in the fry pan and then had to run down to buy it at the shop (defeats the whole purpose of not going to do groceries). I was offered $5 off my next box as their priority is to “quality control to see what went wrong”. The next box came and you would have thought that after my most recent experience it wouldn’t happen again, yep.. it did, once again was in the middle of cooking my meal and they forgot to give me a cucumber.. so down to the shop I went again. I gave them feedback on their Facebook messenger service and received a response two days later to mention that they are unfortunately not live monitored and to call instead (not sure why they have messenger then?). Requested for a manager me to contact me to discuss, and did they - Ofcourse not. I cancelled my subscription.

Happy customer here. We’ve been using Hello fresh for a couple of months now and we love it. As a family of three with a daughter who is vegetarian, having to think of meals that would please us all but weren’t too time consuming and tedious was hard. I hated having to go to the supermarket and wastage was an issue. We’ve loved the two vegetarian options as they’ve all been yummy and different and not just based around quinoa like another company we tried. And as a pescatarian I get the two chicken and a fish and that’s us for the week. It suits us so well and I love using the app and being able to choose what I get. I look at it frequently as the end is drawing near and I get excited about the following week. Keep up the good work Hello Fresh!

Excellent food and brilliant app.. Honestly, I’ve never been happier with cooking at home in all my life. No need to shop for ingredients except maybe pantry items (like olive oil, honey and what have you.) The food is exceptionally good, and not just in taste but nutritionally as well. I also like how in the app, it’ll automatically save the recipes you’ve cooked (it’s under “previous recipes”) but I do have a suggestion. Please put a search bar in both “favorites” and “previous recipes” as this’ll make it so much easier to find and cook again the recipes people love. Other than that, this service is really good. If you’re looking for super easy, restaurant style food at home, then give this a shot. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

First few weeks started well.... Really enjoyed Hello Fresh for the first few weeks until we started missing items in our box weekly. Then we were given the wrong meat for dishes and then we received gone off veg. We also paid extra for Sunday delivery, the first few weeks we received text messages to say the box was outside, then they stopped. Last weekend we experienced severe storms, by the time we had realised our box was outside it was absolutely soaked through and fell apart as we carried it in. They didn't even bother ringing our buzzer. Tried to complain but to date have received no response. Perhaps it's just the distribution centre in our area but disappointing when we have been loyal customers for a while now.

HelloFresh have saved my life!. I’d fallen into bad eating habits. Too lazy to shop. Too lazy to look up recipes. Take aways/home deliveries were dominating my very existence. This has stopped and I’ve become Chef Extraordinaire! I cannot talk them up too much - they deliver on every platform. Delivery times can be altered easily to suit your needs, whether to skip a week or receive deliveries fortnightly requires no effort because the App does it all! Because they finesse your likes and dislikes you can trust them to choose the perfect variety of meals each delivery or I can choose the meals each week myself! It’s perfect in every way. Thank you HelloFresh for bringing healthy and tasty meals back into my life.

Love the convenience of Hello Fresh. As a busy working family of four, my husband and I really love the convenience of Hello Fresh on a weekly basis. We do 3 meals per week which is extra helpful on those busy work days when we aren’t home until 6pm at the earliest. Only thing we can make a little complaint about is that we find the vegetables on offer, mostly carrot, beans and zucchini, become a little repetitive, and our 12 year old (not fussy) son isn’t a fan every week. Also the fresh produce is occasionally a little rotten and blemished, otherwise, we are a happy Hello Fresh Family! Thank you for providing such a wonderful solution to dinner chaos!

Attempt at Accessability?. I am vision impaired and thought the idea of food being selected and delivered, with on screen recipes would be great. I use voiceover, which kind of works with HelloFresh, but with a few small changes, it could be great. A couple of issues, the app has long instructions that can only be read out in one go, so frequently I need to remember about 5 things to do in one tap on the screen. This could be fixed easily by breaking up the instructions into seperate paragraphs. Similarly the ingredients are all read out in one go, instead of being seperate items. Finally the items in settingg are not labeled, so very difficult to access them. The app is fairly good, but for the vision impaired, it could potentially be great.

Back to easy. We used Hello Fresh a few years back and loved it. And now we’re back because it’s so hard trying to figure out dinner plans when you are tired after a long work day. I just love the ease of having your ingredients on hand, with the exact measurements you need. I also love how easy the meals are to prepare and how quick you can get it all on the plate with minimum fuss. Most of these dishes are ones I would never think to make myself, especially those with unusual ingredients that I certainly don’t have on hand! I’m no gourmet cook but I feel like one with HelloFresh!

Hello Fresh. We’ve been doing hello fresh now I think it’s the third time we’ve done it and we’ve done it now for months. As a working family is great just to come home and be able to quickly prepare fresh and interesting meals. It’s great that we can pre-order and have a look at what meals are available and there are lots and we can pick what my family prefers. The meals have become more interesting and I generally learn something about mixing different foods and flavours each week. Simple food usually with one interesting and different component. Food is always fresh and tasty.

Great overall but some small issues. Hello Fresh has been great for myself and my partner. Neither of us particularly like cooking, so we often found ourselves ordering food in or when we did cook, it was a limited variation of basic meals. Hello Fresh has taken out the trouble of decided what to do for dinner and figuring out whether we have the ingredients and has also cut down the money we spend on delivered food. The food is usually quick and easy cook as well as being delicious, even the simple meals, so it’s perfect for us. The only real issue we’ve had so far is that a few times now, some of the vegetables have been off or overripe and unusable. We usually have the basic veggies in the house to replace them anyway but it is disappointing we can’t use some of the ingredients we’d paid for. Overall though, it makes our lives easy, especially when neither of us like cooking that much after a long day at work!

Not fresh. Hello fresh delivered to my door even when I cancel on app, talk to customer service and best of all we are told we won’t be charged but yes as usual money deducted. Recipes are repetitive, same ingredients just served a different way 😱😱😱😱 vegetables are poor quality, well and truly past use by date. Spinach yellow, carrots soft, capsicum with mould, salad consists of hard cabbage scraps. Most recipes very bland and boring. Always cheese and coconut milk. Vegetarian meals don’t need to be boring and repetitive. We are bored, disappointed and trying desperately to cancel but it just keeps coming and no matter how many times by app or customer service it continues, each representative with a different spin on why. Reviews always have a positive response from hello fresh but behind closed doors it’s a different story. This is our second time choosing hello fresh as we were convinced there had been major changes with customer input etc etc etc no change, same old this time our bank account is paying a hefty price not to mention our patience.

Great way to vary your dinner ideas. The busier I get the less I want to make decisions about what my family is eating for dinner. Having Hello Fresh delivered to my door means I don’t have to worry about what to cook, I don’t have to worry about whether I have the right ingredients, and the meals are simple enough with easy to follow instructions that I can get my kids involved in preparing dinner. My kids are quite fussy and rarely am I able to make a meal that all three of them agree is delicious but they all seem to agree on Hello Fresh meals. None of them have refused anything I’ve served since I started using this service. There’s a small bug in the app where the image for the second meal option is often inverted with the image for the first meal option when looking at the weekly menu. I’d really love if they added a lunch menu so my kids and I can eat healthy, well balanced meals that are interesting enough for my kids to eat all their lunch and I don’t have to spend hours planning and researching for things they will all eat. Another great idea would be for a fresh fruit deliver every week. Fruit in the supermarkets have often been sitting in cool rooms for weeks, sometimes months and my kids don’t like fruit that’s past its freshest. I work long hours and no longer have time to go to farmers markets or green grocers to buy fruit.

Worth It. Health issues made something as simple as grocery shopping a huge challenge. Having healthy and delicious meals ready to go each week has been a Godsend. Four stars for the ease, variety, and simplistic yet delicious meals available. Lost a star due to some of the vegetables arriving in poor condition at times. (Carrots that bend, cucumbers/pears with bruises, unusable garlic gloves for examples. It doesn’t happen often, but shouldn’t happen as frequently as it does.) Vegetarian/vegan options are also limited too. Having both meat eaters and vegetarians in the house it doesn't matter too much as I can adapt the meat meals to be vegetarian. Overall I am happy with this service as it helps me out immensely.

Time to reduce the price for everyone. After being a loyal customer for some months now, the only promotion that is continually offered is to jag new customers with a free box. I’m starting to realise that to afford giving away the free boxes it comes from the loyal customers who are paying a premium price. How about you scrap the enticer and start a loyalty discount on every 10th box. I’ve heard of many people changing their email addresses etc to continue to get the new customer deal. People are rorting your system at the expense of the loyal ones. I’m gonna ditch it soon if you don’t start offering an alternative discount or don’t start reducing the prices. The Marketing genius behind it is only thinking short term and high turnover. Not repeat and long term satisfaction. All my friends have tried it once. So there’s little chance of me getting the $50 off cause the market has been flooded already.

Good quality = meh. I joined Hello Fresh during the pandemic and I was excited for the recipe options that they had available. Over the time I just saw the quality of the food sent becoming quite poor. Every order I had tomatoes, they were very white or had cuts in them. The carrots were soft and I couldn’t use at all. The lettuce was dirty, slimy and not edible. Meat quality was okay but expiry date was close to the day of delivery so I only had at least 3-4 days to cook everything. I had to cancel; because paying $75 a week for poor food quality is just not on, despite always saying you get a ‘free box’ or a discount it’s not worth. Sorry guys - maybe try and look at the warehouse where they are checking food quality.

Hello Fresh. Our family has never had so many restaurant style meals, so many different flavors we are getting to try. I no longer throw food out due to making too much or thinking I will cook something & end up not doing so. I just love how everything is there for me & no running to the supermarket. Every time you go to the shops you buy things you may not need. I love our Hello Fresh & knowing what is going into my food. Everything is “fresh”, no jars of ready made food. Congratulations Hello Fresh for making my life so much easier & economic! I have vouchers to my daughter & they have it every week now.

Ingredients. I am becoming increasingly disappointed with quality of food at times but the missing items which seems to be occurring more frequently the last 4-5 months. I have not always reported it but I should not have to report it at all!! I have enjoyed most of the meals and staff are quick to rectify any issues when I have need to contact them. But, I shouldn’t have to contact your company at all! To be honest, I’m sick of it. If these issues continue to happen-missing items to be exact - I will cancel my orders and certainly not be offering free meals to anyone else, which I haven’t as yet because of these issues. I am hoping this will be taken seriously and this will no longer happen to me. Thank you

It’s awesome 👍😃👍. Decided to give Hello Fresh a try after seeing a few boxes one of my kids had gotten themselves, work, gym etc, it fits in so good for them. So, thought i would try it out myself. Glad i did. I have had no problems with the app, sorting out the meals and extras for orders is great. Only annoyance i have found, is checking the price of an order for each week, you can see what you've ordered but not the price, you have to add or remove something to see a price tally, not major, i write them down now, but would be handy if you could just click the order and see the total at the bottom 🤷

Great Food. As a family we love the food and the variety. The meals are very easy to prepare and any idiot can cook them!! There is no wastage and we have tried loads of flavours we would not ordinarily try. I have only 2 minor complaints. We are a family of 5-6 and we can’t select to buy for 5 or 6. This is annoying and I have quite a few friends in the same predicament. Please give us an option to upsize!!! I would also like to see a little more veg and a little less carbs on the plate please. The meals are great value already and I would be happy to pay a little more as I know carbs are cheap!! For the most part the boxes arrive safely, even in the heat, and rarely do I have a gripe with the quality or quantity. I like the selection process and the ease using the app. Most of all I like having an answer to “MUUUUUMM!! What’s for dinner????”

Worth it for the timers. The app is great for amending delivery dates and choosing meals easily. For the cooking it’s great having timers, however it only seems to be on some elements of the cook and not others which is disappointing. It’s also VERY frustrating when it says to, eg, ‘slice the onion (see ingredients list)’ but there is no way to easily access the ingredients list without exiting the ‘cook’ mode and having to flick through it again from scratch. There is an ingredients menu at the bottom of the page where it says to refer to it, however it only has the items in that step pictured and doesn’t mention the quantity. Adding this in and ensuring timers were available for all steps would make it 10/10.

Fantastic for a busy family. We love hello fresh. Im the only person that cooks in the house so take away the guess work of what to cook during the week. I sit with my husband every sunday night and we choose the food for the week which is fab! My kids are fussy and plain eaters so at least this way me and my husband still get a healthy flavoursome meal! This way i dont have to shop either. Straight to my door! On the odd occassion where something is overripe the wonderful customer service team give u a credit to replace those veggies for your next box. They are always giving free boxes so my family and friends can try too!

Almost perfect.. I think Hello Fresh is great! The app does have a few glitches though that need to be fixed. Eg- the wrong picture often shows up for each recipe.. and also sometimes it doesn’t have all the ingredients in the ingredient list and then calls for them in the recipe.. a little confusing. Also once I had a box delivered to the wrong place.. I don’t even know where it went but I called to complain and they handled it amazing! I was credited the full amount back to me for my next box and also a $25 voucher on top of that to come off the following order. It was definitely annoying to miss a while wee I was relying on, but I was pleased with how it was handled and haven’t had issue since.

Need more options and enough meals for bigger families. I’ve been using hello fresh for a round 6 months now and I do really love the convenience of it but of late have been finding it’s the same meals on rotation. I’m also finding me veggies are coming spoiled a lot of times. I don’t have many veggies in the fridge while on hello fresh as that’s the good thing about it, you don’t need to have all the excess veggies in the fridge. But then I find it had to replace the spoiled ones. I also get annoyed that the family box only goes up to 4 meals. I have 3 children and 2 adults. We can’t even split it cause I find the means a pretty small as it is. But to add, you can’t just add one meal it needs to be double. So I could drop to 3 meals but I would then have 6.

Worst website/app I have used. I have just restarted with HelloFresh and have quickly been reminded why I cancelled the last time. Your website is the worst, if your wondering why you are having customers leave It’s not because of the wonderful food or recipes, it’s your website. I have told you this before, but you obviously don’t care because I explained all the problems last time to your staff, but as I can see nothing has changed. It’s very sad for you and your customers. This will probably be my last delivery. Your app does not work most of the time, I have been trying for three days to put in my order, luckily you sent me an alternative way by email or else I wouldn’t be going ahead today. I have tried to change my menu but of course I can’t I’m locked out for some reason, so I won’t be able to add to my order either, which I was going to do. Maybe you should listen to your customers, before you go out of business. So sad, like I say, your only problem is your website. Can’t you copy someone else’s that is in the same business, that works easily. Lite and easy maybe? Goodluck!

Terrible customer service. This is my second day with Hello Fresh, I made an order online no idea how it changed it from 5 meals for 4 ppl to 3 meals for 2 ppl, I realised when the amount charged into my account was too low. Today second time chatting with customer service, and I was told that yesterday one hour after I made my order I was lied from customer service that my order was not changed it because was made after the deadline! When the order was made the same day one hour after and the deadline according with the website was 12 am. So today one hour chatting repeating the same info because my msgs were not read it, I asked the Leo on the chat to stop giving me apologies that what I need it was solutions. And he close the chat!!!! So no solutions at all just very unhelpful customer service representatives

Happy Customer. My first free box was the freshest food Ive ever come across. The chicken & vegetables have fallen slightly in freshness. But I’m putting this down to COVID. I’ve had no choice over the years to create family dinners for $5-$8 dollars a meal. But this way, now I’m able, I cancel every f/nights meals ahead of time and alternate between the two. Hello fresh meal instructions are very well planned and can be nonstop for 45! Mins most meals, then a week of budget ready/prepped in no time meals. I’m not quite sure what to think about the garnish every meal.... App review, I found it a little confusing to start with, choosing overpriced extra cost meals without realising but really there’s nothing to it, and contains everything I’ve needed to access. My only real negative - I cancel meals in advance as I’m not always able to afford it. But when browsing, alternating days and package variations, all my cancellations un-cancelled and I received a surprise delivery without having money in my account and I had to ask for their understanding till the week I was able to pay. It’s humiliating and why I cancel meals in advance. I’d like to opt into no pay no delivery as this makes me anxious rechecking all the time now to make sure weeks stay cancelled. Lastly the meals are always more delicious than expected, and why I am a repeat customer.

SUPER SUPER SUPER🧚‍♀️. Going through a really difficult time at the moment with both my parents struggling with illness so not having to think about going to the shops and thinking about meals to make has been such a relief. More time to rest and be there for my family. I love that the deliveries come in the early hours of the morning as I’m a shift worker, everything is put away ready to start the week without having any impact on my spare time which is fantastic. The recipe cards are easy to follow, range of meals is fantastic better better than if I was doing them myself. SUPER delicious, SUPER convenient and SUPER service. Love you HelloFresh!

More than 3 years of HelloFresh. I have been doing HelloFresh for over 3 years. In that time I have enjoyed fantastic service and delicious meals. My husband is a fussy eater, yet he loves the HelloFresh meals. I can say I have complained maybe 3 times in over 3 years and when I called HelloFresh they fixed it immediately. Mainly my complaints had nothing to do with HelloFresh and their meals, it was the delivery driver not placing the box where I asked. That’s an external delivery service who HelloFresh contract to deliver. All in all my experience has been excellent, enjoying fantastic food with no effort of having to shop and saving money. Keep it up HelloFresh.

Great food done cheaply during such hard times.. My husband and I have been using Hello Fresh for sometime now and love the fact that we are eating fresh food that is easy to prepare. Another plus for us is that we’re not spending money at the supermarket for items we don’t need because I only shop once a week. In addition to this we aren’t throwing away food that we don’t use. No longer do I need to buy a bunch or packet of stuff that we only need a small amount of for our meal. The portion sizes are bigger than we expected and regularly we have leftovers for my hubby to take to work for lunch the next day so we have savings there as well. We think that Hello Fresh is fabulous and look forward to enjoying more meals in the coming weeks.

Yummy and convenient. Tired of thinking of what your going to cook each night?Tired of having to go through the recipe book to write down the ingredients you need to buy and wondering where your going to find them? Always wasting food because you didn’t even using it? Not wanting to go out to the super market because it’s full of people that you have to navigate around and wear your mask? Loving left overs for tomorrows lunch so you don’t have to think about that either. This is why I LOVE Hello Fresh. It takes the work out of everything for me including delivering right to my door. Just like having your nails and hair done a day of pampering. Hello fresh pampers me the rest of the time. The only complaint I would have is that they didn't provide me with a chef but have turned me into one and I enjoy cooking now with their easy to follow recipes, Thanks Hello Fresh and thank you my daughter for introducing them to me. 😁😉

Not so Fresh. Dear Hello Fresh, this is the third time we have subscribed to your service, unfortunately once again I am looking to find another meal delivery service. As far as the Hello Fresh name goes, I think it is far from it when it comes to the vegetables. I would have to say 9 times out of 10, every carrot has been tossed out the window to our pony as it can be turned into the letter U. Beetroot has been less than desirable and when the neighbour found a tissue in a bag with blood on it, well that has just about done it for me. We now peel everything, regardless of whether it says to or not. Please, please address whatever is going on in your warehouse, because of the convenience, I’m giving you one more chance, please don’t let me down.

SCAM AND ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIMR. UNEXPECTED CHARGES and ITEM NOT DELIVERED What is the point in advertising if your organization cannot cope with the customer load. 1) ordered box on 3rd for Sunday only told that it won’t come 7th but will come 14th ITS 15th now STILL NOT GETTING MY BOX and was told it will come 21st. 2) was told that system automatically cancelled because a refund occurred which I didn’t request for, due to THE CHARGE OCCURRED WITHOUT TELLING YOU AFTER I MADE PAYMENT 3) had to call myself 14th to find out why it’s not being delivered NO NOTIFICATIONS whatsoever. Took 20mins to speak to someone who can contact logistics, took another 28mins just to be told nothing they can do 4) SEVEN HOUR deliver timeframe I had to sit around waiting these scheduled dates that didn’t come, severely impacted my dinner and fridge plans for a family of four Well I don’t want the box anymore I just don’t want other people having hopes just to get disappointed 5) NO FLEXIBILITY WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE this is your process error, your system failure, your organizations fault causing so much inconvenience but was told to wait for another week because they can’t provide any alternatives. Have fun ordering everyone, wouldn’t go through this hassle again even for free!!!

Very impressed. Very pleased with HelloFresh; we had an issue with the quality of chicken in our deliveries, and following a complaint left with a customer service agent was immediately refunded the amount of the faulty ingredients as credit on our account, merely minutes after we first reached out, and was assured the complaint would be progressed to the appropriate departments. Left feeling very confident with the HelloFresh company and the experience we can expect in the future. Even despite the rather dear price of the service, I would recommend it to anyone for the quality assurance, the absolutely delicious experience we’ve had with all of our meals so far, and the incredible ease of communication with customer service agents. HelloFresh is a revelation, very pleased!

Tasty recipes, excellent meat, thorough instructions. Hello Fresh has been a pandemic lifesaver for not having to go to supermarkets or place frequent large online supermarket orders. The meat is excellent. The ingredients are almost all sourced in Australia. I feel like I’m having a restaurant meal most nights. Certainly adds to the happiness factor in these grim times. When there is an ingredient substitution, I used to get notifications, but have recently not had these notifications. I dislike green capsicum so am disappointed when this is substituted for red. I have had the odd floppy carrot which is hard to understand as it must have looked like that when packed! Carrots are cheap though so keep a bag in the fridge. Saying this, I have had very disappointing veggies delivered from online orders from Woolworths and Coles as well. I love the way there is none to very little wastage. I have learnt some great cooking techniques, even with 40 yrs experience of my own. The instruction sheets are lovely and real keepers. I have made the mistake of changing my address successfully in the app, but then finding the food delivered to the previous address, so be aware, the delivery day cut off for the next order, includes the address as well. The Christmas pack with cheese platter went down really well and the food was delicious. We can’t go back to frozen dinners now. Totally spoilt.

Missing items in first order, not a good sign... I was excited to open my VERY 1st HelloFresh box only to be let down by missing ingredients. With the shortages and floods I understand there could be complications, but I’d like to think HelloFresh would inform you of this and let you know in advance. This did not happen, there was no contact about shortages or items possibly needing to be changed. Instead the ingredients were just not added to my order, which leave me thinking the staff packing orders do not take enough care to read the order slips. I contacted the help centre and was given no information as to why this happened, and a measly $11 off my 4th order.. Safe to say I have since canceled and further orders.

The more you order the worse it gets. I loved it at the start. Everything was fresh and delicious, then the more you order the quality deteriorated. The chicken would smell on delivery so by the day you had to use it, it would be off. The barramundi went black within seconds of opening the seals bag as they couldn’t supply prawns. The veggies limp even the garlic was unusable. They ask for a review but no one ever replies so why would anything improve. If you enjoy chicken and mince twice a week with spinach and pear salads then you should love it but how much crumb can one eat every week ??? If your wondering how long it stayed outside? Second - as I made sure I was home and the house alarm would tell me when someone was at my door.

Scam. Hello fresh called me after I cancelled my service to offer me a discount for future orders. The lady lied to me, telling me that she was just going to send me a coupon that I could possibly used if I wanted to. I never agree to be signed back up. Few weeks later I see that I was billed without my consent by hello fresh! They took me 50$ for a box I never wanted in the first place. I immediately called the contact center to understand what was going. The man was particulary rude on the phone, telling me that it was bassicaly my problem because I agreed to receive the coupon and that they couldn’t do anything about it. So now, I have -50$ in my bank account and a box full of food that makes me want to throw up.

APP CRASHING FOR WEEKS!!!!!. So ANNOYING. FIX IT!!!! All those resources for what?

BUNCH OF RIP OFFS. Thought I would see what the fuss is about. Had a promo for family of 4 package, it was $89, then when I selected my meals it happened to just double in price to $160! I signed up thinking this was supposed to be cheap, so I cancelled my subscription and therefore my “promo” and it went up to $129! So now I’m getting charged $129 for three meals I didn’t get to pick. Don’t waste your money!

Careful. This company charges you even if you cancel your plan. No way to be refunded. The app is made for you to put your credit card information before you can modify or cancel. I’m very mad for being charged almost 100$ even if cancelled my plan right away.

Garbage. Horrible experience with this company and the app. Despite the order being successfully processed and the order status showing delivered, no food arrived. After several tries to contact the company using the in app chat (that crashed/froze twice during the process), I was told that my order was cancelled with no explanation on why I didn’t get an email notifying me of this and why the status of order showed as delivered. I asked the agent if I could speak to a supervisor and I was told I would be contacted in 3-4 business days, but I did not receive a call back. The money for the undelivered order was refunded in the end, but it was the worst customer experience I’ve had with any company and/or app. I would recommend not wasting your time with either.

The app keeps crashing. Hi, I am unable to open the app as it just keeps crashing. It seemed to be working last week!

Newest update. The newest update constantly crashes when trying to open on iphone 8... Other than that the app is okay. It would be nice to be able to opt out of certain ingredients so they aren't just chucked when they arrive. More variety for types of diets would be nice as well (e.g. low fodmap diets) The ingredients which come are always fresh and great quality.

Latest update. Latest update DOES NOT work. Crashes every time it’s opened. Tried everything so now is absolutely useless. Last time something wasn’t working in the app I was directed to use the website (by customer service) because “it’s more reliable”. The app option is the reason I chose this service over competitors. Before it was unreliable and inconvenient... now it doesn’t work. Opting out of HelloFresh until resolved, perhaps permanently.

App not loading. App hasn’t been loading since the last update. They did an update today and it didn’t fix the issue still!

Terrible app. It did not take changed for meal preferences. Ultimately the response was I did not make the the changes and nothing could be done. Being unable to eat the meal provided made this a disappointment.

Impossible to cancel subscription. Beware of this subscription program. There is no place to cancel through the app. Even going the the Help section, the route it details to cancel DOES NOT exist. I want to cancel but cannot so now I am stuck. WHAT A SCAM

Malicious payment options. Auto renewal of plan when you want to only see your options of renewal. When you look to see your choices it’s deceiving and your plan is automatically made active without confirmation or consent. To cancel a plan you have to call customer service and speak to support and go through hoops. To have them remove your automatically renewing payment information or delete your account you have to submit a formal request with costumer service and wait three to five days for someone to get back to you. I’m still waiting.

Watch out. A rep from Hello Fresh called me after I had canceled my service to offer a discount on future orders. She lied to me on the phone about a coupon she was offering, when I specifically said I did not want to be signed back up. I immediately reinstalled this app to check for sure and the rep had signed me up again and billed me without my consent. I called the contact centre to voice my concern and was told they would open an investigation and follow up. I was not followed up with. I hate to think the vulnerable people who could fall victim to this.

Yet another update fails.... Second update from Hello Fresh that won’t open app without crashing. Get your development team sorted out! Unless service if I can’t make my orders.

Okay most of the time but bad Quality control. Most of the time it’s been good but often (like every two weeks) we will received meals with missing ingredients and it’s definitely bad quality control. Very disappointing.

ABSOLUTE SCAM. These guys have been charging my credit card weekly even though I have already deleted my subscription and my account. Theres no way to stop future charges from them and you can only dispute it with your bank. Hello fresh support wont help you stop these transactions, you just get passed on to the next department. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Do some research online and see how many people have complained about the very same thing (check reddit and better business bureau) PS: the food is waaay too expensive for mediocre meals. Thats why I canceled my “free” subscription. Turns out you can’t stop them from charging you more

Don’t know the apl but the service. Is overpriced and predatory in its setup. It asks your payment info before it shows you the possible meals, and the language isn’t clear regarding if you are being charged right then or only after your pick your meals. Even after I finished creating my account I got no prompt saying I’d been charged. Only when I went to cancel the account literally seconds later, did I get a notice saying I’d already been charged for the first week. I didn’t even pick the meals! This is predatory bordering on scam behavior, and I think I will be reporting to the bbb

Turning off analytics tracking crashes the app. This is a big bug where you’re forced to keep tracking on at all times.

Want to overpay for rotten food?. Literally every week I was using this service something was wrong with the food I got. Would go bad way too quick. It was overpriced even if it wasn’t bad.

Ok app, but service not very useful for me. The app is ok but the service is a bit pointless for me. I guess it’s ok for people that know very little about cooking. The way I see it, it just gives me a recipe and overpriced ingredients.

Forgot ground beef. Trying to cancel is so complicated. I got my first order today and it’s missing the ground beef for the meatballs. I talk to client care and they give me a $15 credit on a full price box. Well, I see what they’re doing. Maybe I never wanted to pay full price for a box, I just wanted to use the deal. Now I can only use the credit on a full price box. Sneaky way to make me pay full price. Then I try to cancel the whole things all together and they make it impossible. Wasted a good junk of time trying to do it only to end up calling them after all. Chefs plate is way better. I gave these guys a chance and they failed. Back to chefs plate I go. Thanks for nothing.

Crashes all the time. How can we order or look at menus when it keeps crashing when you try to open it?

App won’t open. Running on the latest iOS and the app worked for 3 minutes and seemed as if it would be great. Then it just immediately closes once open. Every time. I have restarted my phone and still can’t get in, I have to use their website instead.

Too hard to cancel subscription. Tried canceling my subscription and deleting the app then a random box shows up at my door like a month after not order anything now I have emails asking to pay for food I didn’t order and can’t afford.

Hello Fresh Review. Your customer service people emailing are better than your app as it tends to glitch but aside from that it's not bad at all. It would be nice if meals didn't relate so closely. I got 2 meals served on buns in one delivery both look amazing but I was surprised with how similar they are in that area.

App is broken. The app has been broken for about the last month. It just crashes and never opens. I liked the convenience of the app but if I have to use the website anyways I will order from a different company that has beer food choices. HF meals are too carb-heavy, and way too much ground meat instead of whole pieces of meat in the meals.

Best food EVER!!. We had a bit of an issue with the App last week & ended up not getting our meals. It was a change in payment method we were notified about. Updated that but it didn’t get ran thru again, so we didn’t get our meals. The App said “contact us” but didn’t go anywhere when clicked. There’s also a “Feedback” button that doesn’t work. If there was a half star, it’d be 4.5. I called about my issue when we didn’t get our box, they made note & are giving us our meals free next week!! For the app & tech people, please fix the “contact us” & feedback button, add a phone number, allow payments to run thru again when payment method needs to be updated. I appreciate the email about it but it’s not accurate saying once updated by a certain time, we’d still get our meals. Also suggest Eliminating the “delivered” automated notification or any other notification that may not be accurate because I looked for my box for 5 minutes around my house. These are minor little issues but I’d hate for others to miss their box. We were super bummed to miss a week of the FABULOUS food!!

What happen??. I’ve been using Hello Fresh for about 6 months. My family really enjoyed most of the recipes. We loved using this service. However, not sure what happened to this company recently. I know there is major pandemic going on right now but this is a time I really needed this company to communicate with me and it’s been a horrible experience the past few weeks. You can’t get a hold of anyone, they send you a email telling you they are changing your order(you don’t get choose) and now I’m stuck with recipes I don’t enjoy. As I mentioned, we are in a pandemic, I understand that things are changing but I expect better communication from a company that I’m paying a service too. I guess it’s time to move on. I would have stuck it out, but they don’t give you an options, they just tell you we changed your menu for the week so live with it. Oh and we are giving you a 5 dollar credit for 125 dollar meal I originally selected.

Use a different delivery service. I’m not sure where to start, I tried hello fresh because there was a discounted trial in a GNC pro box that I received. I was excited to try but my expectations were crushed. The first box arrived 3 days late. When I called and asked they did not know when I would be expecting it. The cucumbers and chili’s in the box were both mushy and rotten so I did not add them to my meal. The second box I received was missing the protein. I then called and cancelled my membership and was refunded for 1 of the boxes which was nice until I was charged yet another box 2 weeks later after I had already canceled for $42. I called and chatted with their customer service team to explain that I had already cancelled 13 days ago. They had ZERO documentation of the call and said that I never cancelled and the best they could do was to refund $21 off of the $43 box that I did not want or expect to receive. Aside from the issues with the companies they meals are a little small based off of the portions. They also require a lot of different dishes in the preparation so cleanup was a mess. I would not ever recommend anyone using this service there are far better out there if you want delivered meal kits. 0/5 stars for me

Hello Fresh: a great choice for us.. My wife and I are full time working professionals. No matter how often we tried , buying meals a week in advance just never worked out for us. We would arrive home after a long day and would try to cook at home. But we were tired and always seemed to rotate through 5 or 6 different dinners we might cook. Even then we frequently didn’t have all the ingredients. All this added up to going out. We don’t frequent fast food places so we were spending a lot of money and time at more expensive locations. We hated spending the money and felt guilty. Then we tried Hello Fresh. What a perfect change. It is easy to choose our meals ahead knowing they will include all the ingredients. Now we cook together. We share wine or a cold beer. We find the food really delicious and nutritious. After getting a few vegetarian choices it was clear to us the vegetarian meals are (to us) far tastier than the meat dishes. Now we are 90% vegetarian. We feel good about this choice and love eating at home. Your veggie meal planners get a high five from us.

Late/missing delivery, poor quality. My order was billed and shipped over 6 days ago and still not delivered. I was unable to chat with customer support online. I called customer support and was on hold 1 hr 10 minutes to speak with an agent. I expressed my concern that the package had not arrived, yet I had been billed. The agent told me the package may or may not have been sent 4-5days ago. This certainly won’t be fresh ingredients on arrival. When I stated my concern the meats may not be safe to eat, they replied if the package is cool to the touch “it should be safe”. Given my package will be left on my front doorstep if it arrives, the contents may feel cool since it’s winter time in the northeast. But what temp were the contents for the last 4-6 days? This was not my only concern. My last 2 boxes had less than fresh ingredients (tomatoes with wrinkling skins and bruises, soggy wrinkled carrots , soggy black cilantro, slimy browning scallions, leaking meats). Simply put: much much less fresh than grocery store bought, horrendous customer support, possible health risks given uncertainty of shipping/storage, unreliable delivery.

Family of 5. As a mother of 3 and a husband who works around the clock, we decided to give Hello Fresh a try. We were spending a lot on take out and throwing away food that had gone bad because we weren’t sure what meals we could make with it. I am not the best cook and definitely not confident or creative in the kitchen. Hello Fresh has brought our family together in the kitchen and it’s been great. All but a couple meals have been delicious and like nothing we’ve tried before! We do almost all or the chicken meals offered, the only downfall is that the side dish is almost guaranteed to be potatoes and green beans with our fail. Our biggest complaint to be honest is just the price. If I had any skill in the kitchen at all, I could never justify paying this much. Some meals are perfect portions but often times were left hungry still which makes the cost extra challenging. I will say the customer service is amazing! The food is delicious and to not have to think about what I’m going to cook for 3 nights a week, that’s a huge bonus!!!

Hello Fresh. Hello Fresh is consistent in its delivery of the box. The food is well packaged and everything included. Their food is fresh, tasty and good. I have learned to prepare and cook foods that I would probably not have if their selections didn’t offer them. I have been cooking with Hello Fresh for over a year. I appreciate that I have been able to change my selection on a Monday. Their customer service is very friendly and accommodating. I am a pescatarian and find it curious that they do not know what pescatarian is over the phone and do not include it as an diet option. The vegetarian option works sometimes but I often have to usually select a different selection. Also, their portion size for a meal is too small. When I go to a restaurant my meal portion is filling. Hello Fresh portion size is half or three-quarter of a serving at best. So I always feel that I’m paying more and getting less, and I have to prepare, cook and clean up after cooking. So I often skip weeks or seriously consider canceling my subscription because sometimes it doesn’t feel worth it.

Not so impressed. The food is great, it’s easy, and it helped me teach my sister how to cook. The problems? 1. the app does not really work. It’s constantly down and I had to cancel and reopen a whole new account with a different email. 2. I am constantly missing key ingredients in the meals or just the entire meal all together. This week I was missing all 3 of my add on meals (I have yet to actually receive any addons I have ever ordered.) When you report it, all it does is credit it back to your hello fresh account which you can’t even use until you have no other discounts left. Kinda scammy if ya ask me. 3. They CONSTANTLY send you discounts and free meals for other people but don’t reward you. I used hello fresh every week for nearly 6 months and never got offered my own discount after the initial one, only discounts and free meals for other people. Seems kind of pointless to try and reward people who aren’t even paying for the service and not your loyal customers. My brother and I both started at the same time and have both had the same problems. He already switched and after this week, I’m finding a different service.

Love everything about HelloFresh. We have been getting HelloFresh for quite a while now. I love using the app bc it is really easy to use. We love the meals from HelloFresh and enjoy the many meal options available each week. I can’t say enough how much I save in time and money from not going to the grocery store for dinners anymore. I also love that HelloFresh only sends what is needed for each meal, cutting back on so much food wasted in our household. Also, everything the food comes in is recyclable which is another huge plus for me! We tried blue apron but the kids and my husband did not like the food choices from them and we had many issues with damaged food and spoiled meat. Which is why we switched to HelloFresh and NEVER looked back. Not one single issues with our deliveries from HelloFresh. The food is neatly packed inside of our box and have never had any damaged or rotting meat/produce from HelloFresh. So props to our delivery guy at lasership as well!

simple app, easy to prepare meals. I actually use these for lunches because I work from home a fair amount. It’s better and more cost effective than going out, and takes about as much time. Each meal comes in its own bag, which makes things easy, and they’ve kept the prep simpler than some of the other box kits I’ve tried. Everything is simple, tasty, and well proportioned, and I can usually put together a week that keeps each meal under 700 calories (which is ok for dinner, but still a lot for lunch). The sides get repetitive, though, if you’re picking the lower calorie meals. Be prepared for a lot of roasted broccoli and potatoes. The only real downside is that prep still takes longer than the recipes advertise, and I consider myself pretty fast in the kitchen. My chopping and multitasking skills have atrophied over the years, but I’m still faster than the average bear. I’m not sure how someone who has never worked in a kitchen professionally could possibly make them in the advertised time.

Not much to hate.. I love Hello Fresh I am a Retired Veteran and have found there’s plenty of options every week to choose from. The recipes are easy to follow. We’re a family of 4 and all are very happy to have something fresh and new to the table rather than the processed microwave ready meals. I’ve even gotten my kids involved with cooking sometimes, they love helping wash and chop up the vegetables and even cook. I love that everything is all right there, rarely no leftovers that I have to either do something with or risk wasting because it was forgotten and expired in the refrigerator. I also love that I don’t have to shop for groceries like before. If I do now I just get side dishes when I feel it fits the need. Although there’s usually very few times we’ve needed it- the fact that we have a growing boy in the house I add a some veggies a crescent roll, biscuit, side of mashed potatoes or French fries usually that fills that gap. I used to think this was too expensive but with the prices going up it’s almost the same value. And I’m happy knowing my family is getting a wholesome meal for a change vs a pack of ramen or a processed meal ready for the microwave. And my family loves the variety and spontaneity of not knowing what the next meal will taste like so far I’ve had no complaints about anything and that’s saying a lot considering how picky everyone is in their own way.

Love it in the time of pandemic. I’ve been using hello fresh for several months now. I’m a working single person who loves to cook but doesn’t have time to shop and plan all the time. It’s a luxury for sure, might not be cost effective for some families, but I do have to say that it’s been a blessing since the pandemic. My job is considered an essential service, so I’m still working. I am trying to follow the recommendation to shelter in place the rest of the time and this service makes that even more possible because I don’t have to go out to shop as much, my meals come straight to the door which is safer. The only issue I have with the app is that one of the updates made it so that I can’t see the caloric count until I choose that meal. Before it would show when you hovered over the “I” in the corner. This might be fixed with the new update,I’m not sure. I like to pick meals under 600 calories per serving myself. Other than that, it’s a great app

Great app, but let us apply our credits when we want. I’ve been using Hello Fresh for a few months now and I definitely love the convenience of knowing what I’m making for dinner and having everything portioned out ahead of time and delivered to me. It saves time and money going to the grocery store. And their customer service is quick and efficient, and always resolves any issues I’ve had with ingredients or deliveries. My biggest feedback suggestion though is to allow users to apply our credits when we want to. Currently, if you have any credits on your account they automatically apply all of them to your next upcoming box and the only way to apply it to a future box is to the skip deliveries in between. I’ve contacted support and the system won’t even allow them to do it for us. We should be able to choose when to apply our credits, especially if I have an future box with a higher price because of an extra meal, substituted ingredient, or more expensive gourmet meal.

Healthy and flavorful. I have used HelloFresh for over a year now and during this time I have dropped 22 lbs, of course with exercise too. But point being, I've learned to cook new recipes with fun spices and herbs that make my tastebuds dance! Even my husband is eating foods which he never would have touched in the past. I do wish the nutritional info was included on the recipe as it was on the previous smaller size recipe sheets. Would sure save me time not having to transfer nutritional info to each recipe sheet. Being an insulin dependent diabetic these numbers are important. Also, I appreciate HelloFresh helping me and my fellow Texans after Hurricane Harvey hit us! The flood waters didn't make it into my house, although it was a nail bitter, but our good friends lost everything and will be staying with us while their home is under repair. So I hope a home cooked meal for them might help lighten the load a little. Thanks HelloFresh you have uncomplicated my life!

I do not recommend. They are out here taking peoples money!! I have had nothing but bad experiences since I started getting meals. To start of, 16 free meals is not what it sounds like. Which I kind of figured that, but it’s basically only taking a certain percentage off every week. And ever week that percentage gets lower. My first box was delivered to the wrong house. My neighbor had to bring it over to me yet they had opened it. Funny this is, it had my correct address on it.. I called customer service and they said they couldn’t refund me but could give me a credit. I was okay with that. By the time the next box rolls around, the app does not take my credit. Come to find out, they don’t let you use the credit on already discounted boxes. By the third week I’m still trying to give it a try. My delivery day comes and I still have no box. Apparently their were bad weather conditions and they couldn’t deliver my box. So basically they took my money and the only thing they did was give me a $4 credit for garlic bread that I can’t even use. Unless you like waisting your money, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Missing recipes and crappy support. This is the second time the recipe was not included. I’ve had issues with zucchini’s being squishy so not so “fresh”. The chicken almost always leaks in the box and as soon as I unpack the box I have to put all the meats into a ziplock. How sealed and fresh could they be if the package leaks? I have liked most of the meals I’ve chosen but I’m not sure I will continue using them for much longer. Very pricey and I feel like I have to rush to put everything into the refrigerator as soon as possible and it’s not even hot out yet. Boxes have arrived with puncture holes and I realize that is FedEx related issues but another thing that makes me concerned about getting food into refrigerator ASAP. Trying to get a real person on the phone is very difficult and they offer to give $10 off next purchase of $90+ seems ridiculous. Trying to get replacement recipes for missing ones is crazy difficult. You can look at them online but they “can’t send individual recipes”. Not impressed with their customer service.

Good until you try to cancel. **update: i called back customer service and they quickly cancelled my account. However, even when the agent said i was being placed in a do not call list i still get sales calls every single day!!! At this point i dont care how good the meals are i will not renew. I work in sales and service too, in our company if a customer needs to cancel after we gave them other options they are fully respected, and guess what? We still make millions of dollars in profits ever year! The fact that these people are so harrasing speak a lot about management, these employees are probably severely impacted if they don't meet their retention goals and the customer suffers the consequences. So dear hello fresh please update your management practices to the 21st century, dont hold it over your sales people if a person needs to cancel, they need to cancel and thats it! It will not make you bankrupt! *************** I like the service but i decided to cancel for personal reasons temporarily. However they keep reactivating my account without permission and the customer service people do not take a no for an answer. If i ever had plans to go back to this service thats no longer an option. Thieves.

Wonderful change of pace. My husband and I have learned to hate the dreaded question of what sounds good for dinner. Quite often most dishes take longer to make then we would like them to on weeknights after long days at work. Even though both my husband and I are really good cooks we decided to try Hello Fresh for a change of pace. Originally we planned on just a month of trying it however we are now two months in and absolutely loving it. Since the meals are not the normal meals we cook it has been so much fun following a recipe and cooking them together. We have rated every recipe on a scale of 1-10 and so far all have been a seven or above with most of them at or above an 8. An added bonus is that I now only have to visit the grocery store once a week which has saved us tons of money and time. Now when the dreaded question is asked we just close our eyes, mix the recipe cards up on the counter and point! Hello Fresh has turned out to be a happy experiment that I am super glad we tried.

Pretty useful. I have been using the app and meal service for a little over two months now. The app is pretty straightforward and if you have issues finding things, the chat is probably the best option for getting questions answered. Most of the meals have several steps and most take 30-40 mins to make. I only cook for one, so I always have food leftover and if it’s a pasta dish, I have enough generally for 3 meals depending on the dish. They use a lot of zest. So if it’s a citrusy named dish, chances are that you will need to zest something. After a while, that gets kind of old - to me anyway. The main con I have is that they love sending me free boxes for friends. They present it like “you’ve earned free boxes for friends, congratulations!”. No. I am not paying full price every week to earn free boxes for my friends to join and become a full paying customer and I not get anything from it. I would feel more appreciated if I could even earn points towards free stuff or something like that—from MY OWN ORDERS. Overall, the meals are very tasty with decent variety and options. Sometimes the menu will get a tad redundant and I have also started to see a repeat, and as a result, I am slowing down. HF does help with keeping meal planning a little simplified and I don’t have to make as many trips to the grocery store, which is helpful. I would definitely recommend it and every friend who I’ve sent a box to, has enjoyed it as well. I have run out of friends to share with.

Hello umami 🍩. Love HelloFresh because I don’t have to think about what I’m going to cook every night. I’ve had this service for about 3 weeks now and have enjoyed every single meal! I thought at first the price was expensive, but then I calculated how much my husband and I were spending at Costco for meat and that was more expensive. Also, I know I’m paying for the service and convenience. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the app or the service. I do have a few critiques or opinions. I’ve notice not all the meat are frozen in my box and I’m not sure if they’re suppose to be or not. Second, some of the vegetables wilt quicker then others and unless you have a wide knowledge of vegetables you wouldn’t know to look for this. So maybe have on the bag which vegetables need to be cooked sooner then later. Also if you are not a pro chef and you don’t cook good I would recommend giving yourself a good hour to prepare and cook each meal. What takes up the longest time for me is chopping and reading the instruction. Again I love HelloFresh and would recommend. 👍🏼😃

Great Service, Just Ok App. I really like using Hello Fresh for coming up with different meal ideas but their app needs a little help. I thought a package had been delivered because that’s what it said on the app. When we couldn’t find it I emailed customer service they said there was a problem with payment and that our box was never shipped out. I didn’t get any notification that something was wrong with my card and I still don’t know what exactly the problem was. Also I signed up for wine club to check it out and the app was saying my wine for that period could not be delivered even though that’s the time frame I signed up for. Customer service said was just a glitch. I got my wine on time but the app never updated itself. Sometimes things are a little tricky to find because they’re just not where you’d think they be. I think there should be a tab for your saved recipes instead of having to go through your profile first. I’ve always had a great experience with Hello Fresh food and their customer service has always been a great help when I needed them they just need to do some work on their app.

Extremely informative!. I am very pleased with the flexibility offered by the Hello Fresh app. I can delay or change each week’s delivery. I can review the nutrition information of every recipe. I can determine how much work is involved with each recipe. I can decide if the ingredients are things that my husband and I like or if I need to select a different recipe. I then use all of this info to delay or modify each weekly delivery. I have never enjoyed cooking and have never been successful at it. The appeal of Hello Fresh was that I didn’t have to plan meals, make grocery lists or make decisions about what I would cook on a given night. I have NOT been disappointed. PLUS I have actually gained confidence and realized success in cooking meals for my husband and me. Every Hello Fresh recipe I have prepared has been delicious! Tonight we had Agnolotti Squash pasta with Kale. My husband declared it “delish”, not knowing that it contained kale. And I totally agreed! Even though I had initially planned to replace this dish with something that sounded more palatable to me. Glad I didn’t!!! I’ll order this one again!

All around horrible experience and it won’t go away.. Please save yourself from the nightmare and hassle, not to mention disgusting food that is HelloFresh. The taste, quality, and portion size is comparable to economy class airline food. The recipes are unimaginative(some version of chicken with apricot jam every week) and the ingredients are always sub par (weekly wilted slimy green onions). Also, the meat never has an expiration date on the packaging. What’s worse than the foul food, is HelloFresh’s sketchy practices after you try to cancel. I’ve canceled twice: not paused, canceled, and sent emails and messages through the app, Facebook, email, website (good luck getting a human to contact and prepare to wait forever to “chat” on the website) to delete my information and not to charge me, and I’ve still been charged twice since canceling. I’ve eventually received a refund, but customer service is a disaster and it took a ton of time. I’ve tried Blue Apron as well and thought I’d give HelloFresh a try since reviews seemed comparable online. Wrong. So wrong. These two services aren’t in the same league. I had a nice experience with Blue Apron—good food, fun recipes, easy to cancel. On the other hand, the entire HelloFresh experience was abysmal.

Predatory and pales in comparison to competitors. I tried HelloFresh before and ended up having to cancel because they sent a box that had meat with a single ice pack in the middle of Texas summer so it melted and everything spoiled. That hadn't been my first time with quality issues. I decided to check it out again to see if things were better. Coming off the heels of HomeChef, it was honestly inferior in every way. Promotional discount helped make it worthwhile. I decided to cancel when I saw my next order was going up double in price (doesn't feel worth it) but HelloFresh "can't" avoid charging unless it's at least 5 days in advance. That's fine but when I canceled my subscription I should've gotten a notification to that effect. I had to search for the fine print instead to figure out why I'd still been charged. There are vastly superior meal prep services out there that either cost the same or have far better packaging, pre-prepped ingredients, better customer service, etc. I think people are doing a disservice to themselves just sticking with this because they know it. Def never, ever using it again for myself and couldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

Every Single Meal is Fantastic!. My husband and I were skeptical to try a meal delivery service, but I am so glad we did. Personally, I have never been a fan of cooking, and I am exhausted of trying to figure out new meals every night that are also somewhat healthy. Hello Fresh is a perfect solution. Everything you need is included in each packet. I like how they give you the exact proportions of what you need for the dish. This results in not having to buy whole containers of things like sour cream from the store. I always follow their directions exactly as stated, and it always turns out great!!! They have really thought through the sauce instructions, too. On a lot of these dishes, the sauces are what makes them great. Hello Fresh has also taught us that we we have been preparing far too large proportions. What they give you for each proportion is appropriate and filling so that you are not overeating. My family definitely gives Hello Fresh the thumbs up!!!!!!

Almost impossible to cancel. So I say nothing is impossible because almost anything possible. I’m determined. As of now there is no where online or on the app to cancel. You go online type in cancel and it tells you to go to account settings. It’s not there. To chat right now is 55 minutes and wait on hold by phone is 55 minutes. I can’t find an email address to write to them so as of now I just keep skipping weeks. I would have given them four stars had it not been for the cancelation process. I enjoy led the meals and the possibility to pick meals. I did put no pork as part of meals plans. One week I had like four pork meals to choose from so that left very little to choose from. This was for my daughter to learn. So poor her. She was following instructions. The recipes say set oven to 350. So she put it on broil. She’s never cooked. She’s 12. She wanted to try on her own. Mom had to step in and explain bale and broil after carrots were a bit charred and I didn’t know why until I saw the setting and realized recipe care had no indication of bake. Anyhow. Back to trying to cancel. Wish me luck!!

Tasty but not enough options for those with food restrictions.. I love the recipes and the whole thing of someone else shopping for me and sending me the ingredients, the recipe with great detailed instructions and food items needed to prepare the meal. However - I can not eat about 75% of these recipes and the other 25% I am able to adjust the recipe for my needs. It’s just a lot of money for the extra work I have to do to make it ok for me to eat - not to mention I have to throw away any items I paid for that could make me sick. Why don’t you offer more options for people with food restrictions? For me the big one is dairy. Not because I choose it - but because I can end up in the hospital if I ingest it.( I also can not digest red meat). You have a few vegetarian options - (I am NOT a vegetarian but do eat that way from time to time) but I like fish and chicken - and more often than not - probably 8 or 9 out of 10 options include dairy. 🥺It is because of this I am giving you only 4 stars. Also because of this I must stop using hello fresh. Makes me sad. Mary

Canceling is a nightmare. I enjoyed HelloFresh while I had it but it ended up getting too expensive for my family of 5. I tried canceling the account and it took googling and a lot of searching to figure out that you have to use the website, not the app, to cancel. After I did that, a month later I got a surprise box on my doorstep. I was charged $98 for a box of food from a subscription I had canceled a month previously. I contacted customer service (which I also had to google the email for because the website makes it very hard to find). They told me my account wasn’t canceled even though the app told me I had deactivated my account as well as previous emails from HelloFresh with confirmation that my account was canceled. Luckily they refunded me my money and after showing them screenshots that I had already canceled my account, they told me it was for sure now canceled. But I am just going to wait for another box to show up in a month and maybe go through this process all over again. They make it very hard to cancel their subscription and because of that I will no longer use them in the future. It feels predatory.

They’ve been slacking lately. When I first started the Hello Fresh meal service I thought it was great! Yes sometimes my veggies were a little more ripe than I prefer but overall it was a huge time saver and didn’t affect our dinner much! Meals are easy and fun to make. I’ve learned a lot of different tricks and I’m getting more comfortable in the kitchen. I don’t think I’ve had a meal I didn’t enjoy. I also feel like they truly care about their customers and the product they are providing. Lately it seems there have been a lot of changes, adding dishes and dinner to lunch options which is nice but I feel like something has gotten lost somewhere. My order day was Monday and my food was being packaged on Saturday! I was told all orders are processed the day before so I changed my delivery date to Tuesday thinking maybe it’s just because they don’t do deliveries on Sunday’s? and now it’s Tuesday at 9pm and no delivery. I’ve had a problem with my last 3 orders. Customer service has been super helpful each time which is nice from a company but it would be nice to not have to call them. I hope they get things situated so I can go back to enjoying my meals.

Hello Fresh is a life saver!. I love to cook. However, I don’t like grocery shopping nor trying to figure out what I’m going to make. I always overspend and food ends up going to waste because I buy and/ or make too much. Hello Fresh has been amazing to my tummy, my budget, and my creative juices in the kitchen. So many wonderful recipes with simple ingredients and easy prep. The portion sizes are small for many of the recipes, but it has helped me become more satisfied with smaller portions. For that reason, I would not recommend it for families with more than 4 people, unless you have small kids or factor in those who don’t have big appetites. It’s been perfect for my family but I recognize that it may be limiting for others. I have had snafus with my box on a few occasions (missing ingredients or punctured container), but I contacted customer service through the chat feature in the app and they were very helpful and responsive every time I’ve had a question or issue.

Love love!!. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to trying to plan meals and grocery shopping! I’ve been ordering Hello Fresh for months and we love it every single time. The ingredients are always fresh, there’s always the exact amount and it’s so good! Most are 30 minutes or less and it’s so easy with the recipe card showing exactly what to do, including pictures. There are so many different meals to choose from so we have different things all the time. We buy for two people, and we are always full. No leftovers, but I don’t want leftovers anyway. We are trying many things that I never would have before. My orders are always on time. So now the cost review… I tried hard to recreate these meals for the cost I pay Hello Fresh and it just can’t be done unless you already have the ingredients on hand. I just can’t justify going back to planning and shopping when I can have it delivered. Game changer in our household!!

App no longer provides recipe downloads. Changes to the App no longer provides downloads of the recipes so you can print them when Hello Fresh forgets to put them in the box. The chat feature was no better. The person on chat was not helpful and did not understand how to get a copy to print either. And when she could not help she just ended the chat instead of finding me someone who could help get my missing recipe. I even told her I have trout that will need to be cooked tonight. I do not want to try to look at one step of the recipe at a time on my phone. It is too hard to read while cooking. I like to see all of the ingredients and the whole recipe when I cook so I can plan ahead. This is costly enough that it should be easy to access the recipes, especially when they forget to send them. The change to the app removing this feature is a disappointment. And their own people do not even know the feature to download and print is gone.

Worth the money!!. My boyfriend and I have been using HelloFresh for a few months now and it have changed our lives! We both work in the landscaping industry and it’s a crazy time of year for us both, I hated my weekly runs to the grocery store to buy way more than I needed for food I was most likely going to end up tossing out anyway. So we figured we would try HelloFresh, and it has been a game changer. We save so much time thinking about dinner and going to the store, getting all the things (I forget everything), etc. I had a quite few hiccups with my subscription I can’t lie, and when my concerns were expressed they were handled in such a professional manner and I was thrilled with their customer service. Not to mention the recipes are great. We love the variety of options and there’s always things we are so excited for! We would recommend HelloFresh to anyone any everyone interested in trying a meal subscription service, if the meals alone don’t sell you, the customer service will!

Lately disappointed. For the last 4-5 weeks I have not been able to get a hold of Hello Fresh via phone nor could I cancel one of my meal orders via computer so I tried to call I’ve been on hold for half an hours at a time nobody seems to be working there that is why I rated at three I’m still loving the food but definitely an F for customer service. is there something wrong with your phone lines? Please don’t tell me it’s because of Covid I don’t think I should be on hold for a half an hour and still nobody answers. Couple weeks ago is when I couldn’t cancel my orders for the month of July I think it was the 13th then they weren’t delivered on my delivery day Monday they came Tuesday which was the day we were leaving also this last order that I had delivered August 3 two meals had several items missing which completely wrecked the meal plan one was raviolis missing plus seasoning the other meal was the rice missing plus seasoning ridiculous “ And it wasn’t because my payment wouldn’t go through I stopped it because of all these issues. I’m considering stopping the service if Customer Service can’t go back to what it was thank you Debbie

Overpriced for the service received. Foods amazing, recipes are fresh made and fast. Now for why I rate 2 stars... Occasion 1: Delivered to wrong address and once we picked it up at the neighbors who was kind enough to let us know, box arrived open. Occasion 2: pork tenderloin bad, contacted by chat, disconnected twice after long wait times, I gave up on the refund. Occasion 3: meals were due to be delivered on July 3rd, never left FedEx facility, meals sent back due to "damage", refund not given until I called to request it even after getting an email saying it would automatically be refunded. Got tired of the BS and skipped a few weeks. Occasion 4: first delivery after restart did not come on scheduled delivery day, July 29th again hasn't left the FedEx facility. This is the second time I am left to scurry to come up with, shop, and cook the meals for my work week last minute. I work 10 hour shifts 4-5 days a week, I do not have the time or the energy for last minute meals and recipes and I do not eat microwave food! I pay for the convenience of having fresh food and recipes delivered to my door on my day off, I am NOT happy since I have been having so many issues!

The app is good but.... I like the app but it’s not as reliable as going to the web site to change the selections or meal preferences. I would like the Hello Fresh Service more if there were actually more than three vegetarian selections per week to choose from. If there is a meal that I’m not particularly fond of, I have to skip a week (I'm not willing to pay the shipping for two meals). Also, I wish there were halal meat choices. A halal menu could include any of the fish meals plus all of the vegetarian meals. Other than that, I love the Hello Fresh meals! My husband and I always have plenty to eat with the two person meals, the recipes are awesome, and the food is delivered fresh and in excellent condition! I keep a 3-ring binder with the recipe cards that come with each meal! I absolutely love the way the instructions are set up!!! And if I do skip a week, I can still use the recipes to make our favorites! I waited to see if I was going to like the program before I recommended it to any of my friends or acquaintances, and now I share them with whomever I can! I definitely recommend this service to anyone/everyone!

Convenient, Affordable, Learning so much. Several things that keep me ordering from hello fresh. The food is fantastic. The recipes are simple and the recipe cards are sturdy and allow me to create the dishes on my own anytime I want without ordering that particular meal that week. Every week there are new recipes to choose from. Having all the ingredients for each meal, organized in a bag makes dinner so convenient. My teenage son just pulls one out and starts cooking. Our fridge is also more organized. I don’t buy as much extra and we don’t have a lot left over so less food goes to waste. You can also change your quality at any time. Pause for a week or even cancel conveniently. We found our perfect balance of 3 Hello Fresh meals a week to take the stress off meal planning and allow for a few days of our other family favorites and a pizza night. It took me a few weeks to figure out how to balance the grocery budget around our hello fresh meals but I now have it figured out that it doesn’t add to our monthly meal budget any more than when we didn’t use it. It’s is definitely worth a try!

Nothing Fresh about it. I’d give zero stars if possible. I started a subscription to have boxes sent to my brother & sister-in-law after the birth of their child. The first box was received a day late. All of the ice packs were melted and the food was hot, as it had not been kept to proper temperatures during the shipping process. The second box was received on time but in the same condition. Both boxes had to be thrown out, as they could not be used. The bottoms of the boxes were watery, the food was hot and soggy. These boxes are only traveling an approximate distance of 20 miles. So they aren’t being properly insulated, or refrigerated prior to, or during, shipping. I also found that canceling a subscription through the app was impossible. You must call or email. I should be able to discontinue service at will, with the click of a button. I shouldn’t need to jump through hoops, especially under such circumstances. So, unless you want food poisoning and the hassle of canceling, I would recommend you stay away from ordering anything from this company. Incredibly disappointed and have never encountered this problem with other food delivery services.

Probably the worst meal service. I bought a week worth of meal last week, expecting it to ship this Tuesday. When I placed the order, it says it will arrive on Tuesday. When I checked on Monday, it shows meals I didn’t pick will be delivered, so I talked to agent A. Agent A found out the meals on the website were wrong, she also promised me that meals will be delivered before noon on Tuesday, so I didn’t plan to get groceries for that reason. On Tuesday 2pm, the meals still show “shipping soon”. I have to go get some food since hello fresh wasn’t delivered as promised. I talked to agent B, and he told me to wait patiently. He also told me agent A was wrong, and the meals would be delivered by 8pm. So I waited until 10:30pm, but the meals still show as “shipping soon”. I talked to agent C, and she told me there was no shipping label for the meals so they won’t be delivered at all. WOW, just WOW. The whole point of meal prep service is to make people’s lives slightly easier, but hello fresh is doing exactly the opposite. It takes three agents to tell me my food won’t be delivered? It takes three agents to tell me “oh the previous agent gave you the wrong information”? No thank you, I’d never use this service and I’d discourage everyone I know to use hello fresh.

Hello Fresh’s Biggest Fans!. We LOVE Hello Fresh!! It is the perfect solution to our nightly dinner dilemma. 3 nights a week we get fantastic tasting meals that are actually enjoyable to prepare. We get to do it together, and the ingredients are all assembled and ready to go. We absolutely love the fact that during a busy and draining work week we don’t have to think about “what’s for dinner”. And we don’t have to cave in to fast food, or something boring because it’s easy to throw together. But the one thing we are totally amazed at and so impressed with is the high quality taste of every meal. We constantly comment about how pleased we would be to get many of these same meals at our favorite sit down restaurants, and the fact that our home prepared HF meals most of the time beat theses same restaurants for taste! Your chefs and staff there are absolutely amazing. We have been customers for almost 3 years now, and we will be customers for life. Thank you Hello Fresh for bringing high quality and superb tasting meals into our life.

Inconsistent. Hellofresh is convenient and has allowed me to try new recipes. I’ve been introduced to ingredients that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. However, the quality of the delivery has declined. When I first started last year, my meals were delivered early in the day straight to the door. Now, my meals are either delayed, delivered to the wrong address, or not delivered at all. It’s inconsistent, and you never know what you’re gonna get. The food is mostly good quality, but there have been times where I’ve received something (usually produce) that is clearly about to spoil. The portions are extremely tiny. I get 2 recipes that are meant for 2 servings, but they are not two servings unless for a child or someone with a smaller appetite. As far as the app goes, I wish there was a feature where drivers could contact the customer, like Uber eats. In the era of scam and telemarketing calls, I don’t answer my phone for random numbers, but I try to be mindful on my delivery days. If they could communicate straight from the app, that would be more direct.

So happy I went for it!. I was nervous about this at first. I knew it could be really bad or really good. Well I got an incredible offer to save $40 on my first order so what the heck. $22 for three meals for 2 of us is cheaper than any restaurant or any meal really I buy at the store. I’m on my 2nd dinner now and I was impressed from the moment I opened the box and how carefully everything was packed in special refrigerated packaging. Everything was cold as could be. The ingredients were not soggy or bland. You can tell these are high quality meats and vegetables. The taste was insanely good. We simply had Sloppy Joe’s last night and my husband said they were so good. They even added a huge dill pickle which is a southern thing to put on your Sloppy Joe’s. The serving sizes are perfect especially if you are watching your weight and hate leftovers. I will be ordering again. I’m tempted to get a Thanksgiving box because I can guarantee it will be good not I hope so. Thank you Hello Fresh for making this girls life soooo easy!! 😊

Ok, we are BELIEVERS!. My wife and I have been receiving the meals for the last four weeks. Three meals a week. We can say without hesitation, that you guys have hit a homerun with every meal every time! The meals are delivered to us fresh every Tuesday, with every ingredient we need right there. The recipe cards are easy to understand and make them easy to prepare. I am an expert at peanut butter and jelly (so my cooking skills are limited at best). But, even I ALONE have prepared a few of these delicious meals. It was easy and fun! We were worried frankly that the portions might be too small or not filling, but boy were we wrong. We eat salads on the nights we don’t prepare meals, and both of us have seen our weights come down, without the stress of counting calories (they’re listed on the recipe cards) or the tireless question of “what do you want for dinner. I don’t know, what do you want”. Whether you want to lose weight, don’t know how to eat or prepare healthy, fresh meals or don’t have the time everyday to cook, or all of the above, HelloFresh is definitely the way to go!

I’m practically a gourmet chef!. Let me start by saying - I hate to cook. I hate planning meals. I hate grocery shopping. I hate figuring out how much to cook. Let’s face it - cooking for 2 is tough. We always end up with a ton of leftovers which sit in the fridge for a week til they end up in the garbage! My husband & I are empty nesters who both work full time. We found ourselves in a rut of eating out almost every night. It got old. Quick. Then I discovered Hello Fresh. We started with 2 meals a week. Our first meal was a Tuscan Sausage Spaghetti. It was amazing. We were hooked from the start. The packaging is so well done. The ingredients are separated by meal. The recipes are super easy to follow. After just two weeks we upped to 3 meals per week. We are spending less than we were eating out and loving it. For the first time in my life I actually look forward to cooking dinner. I sent my sister a coupon to try Hello Fresh and she loves it, too. We just wish we would have started this a long time ago!

TRY PLATED (or any other meal delivery). Dang. I really wanted Hello Fresh to be my go-to meal delivery service because I am a religious user. I order a box every week from various delivery services. HelloFresh is usually pretty fresh, there meal selections are decent but I love to use them because they are a bit cheaper AND there are some menu items that are just so delicious. HOWEVER- I only actually receive my box about 50% of the time. For example, I ordered a box last week, it never showed up and I never got any notification as to why! They just refunded my box and acted like they were doing ME a favor. Then, because of the bad experience I had I ordered my next week from PLATED (which I HIGHLY recommend over HF), but I forgot to cancel my HF box. I explained to the customer service team my situation and pleaded with them to cancel the box, but they wouldn’t. So I just accepted it and had to order 2 meal boxes that week. But guess what? MY BOX FROM HF NEVER SHOWED UP.... AGAIN. I even called the courier to try to fix it and they didn’t even know what was going on. So I tried to call HF to resolve this. I was on hold for 20 mins and no one answered so I just gave up. If you depend on these boxes arriving on time (or at all) for your weekly dinners. Do not count on HF.

Not what I was expecting...... I gotta admit.... when I first tried Hello Fresh it was because of a free box my Sister had sent me. I thought it would have been a waste of money so it was a great opportunity to try it. Oh my guh....... the food is so fresh and delicious, and I have found myself referencing their recipe sheets when making other every day dinners. Hello Fresh isn’t just convenient, it’s a really great way to try making something you’ve never made before in a simple easy to understand way. We even tried to go the “cheaper” route and tried EveryPlate, and no freaking way could it compare. Every Plate had rotten vegetables, No organization in the box, and the beef they sent me was opened and pouring blood all over all the other ingredients. In my honest opinion, coming from a guy that said he would never do one of these services, No one can touch HelloFresh! They exceeded my expectations and then some. So much so that we are coming up on our third and fourth box these next two weeks!

Great variety!. Our family has been using Hello Fresh for years. It is perfect for our family. With two parents that work full time and five year triplets in kindergarten, finding time to plan and shop for meals is impossible. I love the easy to follow recipe cards. Not only are they helpful to me, but my kindergarteners can follow them too. I use dinner time as a way to spend one on one time with my kids. Each night one of them cooks with me. Since we started using the service several years ago it has made many changes, all for the better. We were so glad when they started giving you the option of adding extra meals. We also love getting to select the extras that come with the meals. We order the brownies and cookies on a regular basis and are looking forward to the sandwiches they just added. I can’t say enough good things about this company. If there happens to be an issue with one of the meals, there customer service team is there to make it right.

Best choice. So I was hesitant for a number of reasons as to why I didn’t want to give Hello Fresh a try. But let me tell you why I’m beyond thrilled with my choice. First, I’m a single mom of 2 kids. So money is an issue but so are making meals that everyone will eat! My time is limited with working full time also. So I need something that everyone likes and I can make in a snap. Here’s the thing. Trying new food is so risky. Maybe we won’t like it, then I’ll have food and ingredients that I’ve spent money on and now they are all going to waste. And I hate wasting foods. Or I don’t have the time to work some complicated meal plan. These meals are portioned great. The spices are spot on. And the ingredients are fresh! But I may have added a bit more hot sauce! Lol The great part with Hello Fresh is that these meals are adjustable for vegetarian meals, family meals, and dietary restrictions. Which I do suffer from, has not even been an issue. Our fist meal, lemme just say, was a hit! It was perfectly packaged. Delivered on time. Easily prepared and made. And we loved it!

If there was a hello fresh restaurant I’d be a regular!. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! I started buying Hello Fresh when the pandemic hit so that I didn’t have to spend as much time at the stores shopping for dinner food. The price is about the same as what I would spend at the store for a meal for two and the food recipes are extremely delicious. They are also relatively easy to make, are creative, and filling. 3 years has passed since I started getting my boxes and I am still buying them and just as excited to receive meal deliveries and cook them up. I had just a couple of accidents with my deliveries within the first year but customer service (English speaking with no accents! Thank you for providing jobs to Americans!) was very friendly and refunded my meals right away. I have not had a single issue since which tells me that they take their customer complaints seriously. I highly recommend trying them out of you are the least bit curious.

Good food, great for kids to help cook, no way to cook for more than four people. We’ve used HelloFresh for about six months and have been very pleased with the quality of the food and ingredients, accuracy of the orders, timeliness of deliveries and clarity of recipes. Boxes come well packaged with cold packs enough to last days. The ingredients for each meal are collected in separate paper bags that store easily in the refrigerator. Packaging waste is as low as one can expect. We did not expect that having HelloFresh meals would inspire our kids to want to cook, which is a pleasant surprise. We have found that even our 10yo can cook the meals with a little adult help. Many reviewers criticize that cancellation of the HelloFresh subscription is very frustrating; we have not tried canceling so I cannot comment. One criticism of mine is that there are only meal plans available for two or four people, and we have five in our family. We would appreciate the option of having enough food to feed all five of us each meal.
