Too much abs. It’s a great abs to communicate with coaches but it has way too much abs, and sometimes is annoying that when you switch to see others things like team events or messages from parents... etc, the abs will come up.

Best sports managing app I have seen with one flaw. This is a great app, however, I have asked for a “like” “unlike” option to team messages from the coach, two years ago, but no change. Coach doesn’t want replies, he just wants an acknowledgment that the player agrees or disagrees. You have this feature in the “chats” which is great. Please add it to the “team message “. I want to continue using this app, but that one feature is a huge problem. Also, sometimes the notifications are not sent to the players. This seems buggy.

Awesome App!. Makes messaging, updates, scheduling and last minute changes a breeze! Super easy to use!

Unnecessary Location Request. I hate this app. My kid’s sport team uses it, but the pop-ups are unbearable. It constantly reminds me that I haven’t shared my location with the app - this is intentional, why does this app need access to my location? I’m also irritated by the advertisements, but since this is not something I would choose to use, I deal with them to avoid paying any type of upgrade fee.

Clunky UI. I find the app clunky to use and the ads annoying similar to other reviewers. The messaging functionality is confusing. I posted a message to the team and saw new messages from the other parents in the message board, but the app just repeated my message under everyone else’s name. Makes no sense. The ads pop up all the time and the ‘X’ to close it is under more click bait stuff.

Great and very useful app. I’ve only been using this app for a few months and in the beginning it started just as an app to see our schedule of games and practices. That in itself is awesome because it makes a lot of sense the way it works, it’s very simple. I’m an athletic trainer and I am responsible for collecting forms that we have people sign digitally and there’s a way to do that on this app as well. The customer service has been excellent and it really help me to understand how to use this to the fullest extent. I highly recommend it and look forward to using it.

Excellent Tool for Recruiting. In today’s day and age this is an absolute must have! It is extremely user friendly and an excellent way for the college coaches to see your players in action. I absolutely love how you can see the archived games. It’s also brought the advantage that colleges have in being able to scout other teams as well as see your own players weaknesses. I’m very pleased at the designers attention to detail and openness to suggestions. Best app out there for integrating live game feeds as well as scoring for everyone.

Very helpful. Loved it for my middle school basketball team, it made it very easy to make sure everybody is on the same page. I’ve had many parents compliment the app too. Definitely recommend the app for all teams.

Awesome app. I started using this app about a year ago as a parent. What a life saver. Our coach loves it and made us download it. I was skeptical in the beginning, but once I started using it, I got hooked. I have now taken charge of many things such as refreshments, carpool and even posting real time score. I love it.

Good functionality, bad ads UI. The app functions well enough but the ads take over the app so much that you can’t navigate. Basically, they force you into a click. None of the content of any ads so far has been of any value to me. I don’t know why they’re targeting senior citizens with this considering most parents aren’t senior citizens but I guess it is what it is.

Amazing!. I love this app! I use it for my school’s sports team. It works great and sends me the important notifications I need. I’m glad my coach decided to use this app!

Good app, purchase the subscription-terrible ads. Highly annoying that every time I click on the inbox to read team messages that dirty ads pop up. Read that this app is for 4years and up? The 3 ads I saw were sexually suggestive and highly inappropriate. Buy the app subscription so you and your child can avoid seeing rotten material.

Soooo many ads. I have multiple kids playing multiple sports. I also coach. And for all those teams, I have seen many “team manager” apps. So from my comparison of them, this one is at the bottom of my list for one reason. Ads. Tons of ads. I get it. Apps cost money, and this one is free...like my 12th cup of coffee. Trust me...nothing is free. You just pay in different ways. Just try your own comparison. All the good reviews of this app cite features that almost all of the competing apps have, too, so it doesn’t set itself apart there. But compared to those other apps, the time spent having an ad shoved in your face is noticeably higher with InstaTeam. For me, it’s past inconvenient and moved into aggravating to see a new 10-second ad every 3 clicks (or less). If you’ve got lots of time and patience, then by all means enjoy InstaTeam. For me...there are better alternatives out there.

Amazing app helps me and my family now what the heck is going on great just great. Such a good app tells me and my hockey family our schedule and where to go at what time I love it

All what a team needs. I find it’s amazing especially team events reminders and the ability to communicate with coaches and other parents. Snacks, live coverage, are also very useful. He only con is the number of ads but that’s expected for a high quality and free app.

Ads? Really?. This app that makes you watch ads every time you access the calendar, mail or other features within. There are much better choices out there.

Too many apps. This app is fine but to me the leader is still TeamSnap. We have two kids who are on two teams each. Each team has a different app. Out of the current 4 apps we are using - TeamSnap is still the best.

I enjoyed this app but.... I enjoyed this app but there were quite a few ads and it can be hard to find your " team ". But other than that I enjoyed the app I think it is a very hood idea!

So many features. I am a team parent and use Instateam to communicate with other parents and send team messages. We have also used it for fundraising by creating payment items, and it is unbelievably easy for parents to contribute. So many other features which makes this app awesome. Very much recommend it.

Not great, ads free version too expensive. I find this app clunky to navigate to find the information I’m looking for, which is not helped at all by the ads popping up while switching between every section of the app. I use this for two different teams which makes it even less user-friendly. The ads-free version is not at all cost effective for the length of my kids’ seasons, hence why I avoid using the app because the ads are ridiculous. If this is actually designed for use by sports teams, the “Events” section should be able to distinguish between practices and games easier. All in all, I pretty much hate using this app and hope my kids’ teams choose a more user-friendly app next season.

X-rated ads?. It’s OK to have Wish as an advertiser, I suppose. But please tell them to only put images of PG swimsuits. The ads are not appropriate for a youth sports team website. How much to block ads for our whole organization (nonprofit youth soccer) Aurora Juventud/AJFC? Preferably 1-time fee

Great app. Love this useful app. Easy to look at practices, games, team picture day, and even sign up for snacks. Very convenient and easy to use!!

Constant request for gps data. I like the app. Seems to do a decent job so far of managing a swim team. The ads are annoying - it’s unclear if you have any option but to click on them to proceed. They seem to time out but they are generating clicks unethically. The app constantly asks to enable gps data. You can’t look up a team in an area by name. They ask for gps data or you have to manually place a pin on a map. I’d like to think that’s just innocent trying to add a cute helpful feature but seems much more likely that their advertisers want location data constantly which is very valuable. I haven’t enabled it yet (and looking down below I notice they haven’t provided apple yet with data on privacy practices) so extremely low trust (hence the rating).

Pretty good app. This app is a great way for my teams to connect without clogging up our text feeds. Too many ads, though. I don’t know if there’s an ad-free Pro version. I guess I should look into that.

Not a fan of the adds. Not a fan of the adds and honestly don’t think it’s worth purchasing the upgrade if you can pretty much do the same like sending messages and posting pictures with instagram for free, and without the adds!

Stay the hell away unless you want to pay!. Unless you are ok waiting for video commercials to play before you see whatever you need to see then look elsewhere. You literally have to watch an ad before seeing a message the coach just posted. Our coach selected the app so we paid - TWICE to stop the madness. Does not take into consideration the family sharing in the Apple store. Each member with an account in the app must pay to stop the advertising madness. App functionality seems fine. There are other apps that are much less intrusive with their ads or leverage the Family Sharing option in the App Store. The development team does care about accurate info in the reviews and I do apologize for mis-representing the sharing of personal info with advertisers with the initial review I submitted.

Really don’t like all the pushy stuff. Turn on your gps.... push notifications.... buy and turn off adverts..... NO. Every time I run the app I have to answer questions. Hate it. I am forced to use this by our coach. It works, but I need team info not pushy questions every time I use it.

Excellent Customer Service. App had a small slow down the other day I emailed the team and had a response and resolution within an hour sweet.

LOVE this app!! As USER-FRIENDLY as it comes!!. I cannot rave enough about this app! Our school usually uses Shutterfly Share Sites and they seem to be confusing for every party involved and only allow the parents access. This gives coaches, parents, and teammates involved. Allowing multiple parents per child, in app payments for anything the parents may need to make payments for: dues, registration fees, jerseys/uniforms, etc. You are able to track payments or other items that are due like documents or physical forms. You can also post documents for the parents or players to download. The app allows messages to be sent to parents, team players, or both. Gives your team a social media thread that players, coaches, and parents have the ability to post on, and you are able to like and comment on each post. All parties are able to share photos with everyone as well. You can post you game schedule as well as other events and practices. There is much more you can do but these are my favorite capabilities. I’ve had compliments on the app as well as another coach saying they may switch to this app because of the user friendly design.

Helpful. It helps a lot, so my son and my daughter can connect with the friends without having the phone number in. It is very safe and it helps me connect to my kids as coaches and it helps to let me know when they have a game.

MOBILE APP: Weekly view option?. Love it just wish the mobile app had a condensed upcoming week view versus just 2 days at a time. Too much detail I wish I could collapse it to just show the when and where and attendance Other scheduling apps (Team Snap and SE) have this feature and it super nice. Thanks!

Sync issues with messaging. I have a paid version for my whole team. My parents have told me before that they do not get the messages but I thought they just aren’t looking or have push notifications off. Now I have noticed not getting notifications and when I open the app, it still doesn’t show anything, my wife got a message from another admin and over 24hrs later I still don’t have it. Support is none existing. I’ve emailed the 2x before and have not gotten any responses. Time to move on to another sports management application.

Ads are invasive. I realize that with a free version, you expect ads but the ads that come up whenever you respond to a notification are not only invasive (they are all full screen and, more often than not they have some sort of auto play video with sound) but some of them are also political. I’ve never seen a ad supported app with more obnoxious ads. I’d pay for the add free team option for my organization but that caps out at 50 team members.

Issue. The app is not working. There a glitch error and doesn’t allow you to move past the screen it’s stuck on.

Not intuitive, ads every time you open. The fact that it’s free earned it the second star. There are better apps available for youth sports teams. Finding postings, messages, etc. is not intuitive. The messaging function is clunky and limited. And every time you open the app, you have the pleasure of staring at some random advertisement while you hunt for the “X” to close the ad. In the hundreds of times I’ve opened the app, I can’t tell you what a single ad is for because all I do is look for the “X”. I understand free apps require ads to stay in business, but use a different system. Thankfully, only one team we’ve been on uses this app. Not recommended.

It seems every third click pops up an ad that has the X cleverly concealed (but not invisible) and time-restricted so you can’t click it until it gets so far. This is nonesense for parents who are on the run and trying to balance their child’s schedule with their own. I wouldn’t pay to upgrade-we’ll just find a different app.

Great app!. I’m a little surprised to not see as many 5 star reviews. I have been using this app to manage my travel basketball organization with 4 teams for 2 years now. I LOVE this app! It helps keep me organized with game times, players, communicating with players’ parents, and monthly player fees. The ads have never bothered me. If I’m using any app for free, I expect to see ads. Nothing unusual about that or about closing out the ads. The ads pop up only once when you first open the app and maybe lasts about 5 seconds. (But after reading the reviews, I chose to purchase the subscription so that my team parents don’t have to wait for ads to be shown.) The app is also very easy to use unlike some of the other team apps out there. My daughters play other sports that are managed by other apps and this one is by far the best! Just saying... I tried 3 other team management apps before I found Insta Team and can say that I am completely satisfied with all of its features and ease of use. As a director it is very important to keep everything organized and I am able to do that easily. My team parents all love it too as it keeps them up to date with everything! Thank you, developers, for creating this app!!! You have made my basketball Director life so much easier!!!!!

So helpful. Our school uses this app and it has been a great experience. Now I get reminders for all games and with the team messages I don’t miss any communication. Really like the social feature to share photos. Simple and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

Good Sports App. Works well, minus the ads. Easy way to quickly communicate and get messages through to a group of people.

5 Stars Excellent. Love this app. Simple to use and keeps me informed about the social events for our group. We organize all our club activities using Instateam. We recently started using payment items feature which has nade life so simple as the members can pay using creditcards and we dont need to collect cash etc. Very nice app.

Ads. Why have adds between switching from team messages to DM’s it’s frustrating

Ads are a pain. The ads are a pain to get around and I was going purchase the ads free option however it is 3.99 every 3 months, which for an app is ridiculous. You should have a set price period for the app itself that gets rid of the ads. Other than that I like the app a lot

Great team communication and management app. Easy to use and keeps an organized record of events and communication. You heed one tech savvy parent to manage it and do the messages. Best if you have all team members and parents and coaches/managers install the app at the beginning of season. Uploading a picture of yourself allows everyone to know who everyone else is at the games. I suggest an early season meeting with 10 minutes spent on downloading the app and how to use it.

I love it!. I love this app. It lets the whole team stay connected and gives everyone the same information. It even move all of our scheduled events to my main calendar on my iPhone.

Perfect for Softball. Everyone has a smartphone and this application lets you reach everyone with a few clicks without using email. The attendance feature is what I wanted and it works perfectly. After creating the schedule all players can subscribe to a dynamic calendar. Highly recommend.

Gross ads. If you have the free version it will display gross disgusting ads including in the emails you get for your sports events. I don’t want to see close ups of disgusting ear wax or other things I won’t even mention. The people running this need their heads examined.

Nice lil app. Similar apps don’t let you have attendance options for free so that is the major benefit. Gives reminders and allows the needed functions. Ads are annoying but it’s expected when it’s free. They go away after a few seconds anyway.

Terrible user experience. Was the app created in 1980? It definitely feels like that! All the modern tools and frameworks and this app surprised me pretty much in every step as how bad user experience can be!

Buggy app always asking for push notifs. Not going to enable - completely shuts down usage of app. No way to share feedback in app because broken feedback email link. Bugs all the way up and down.

Terrible user experience. App opens DEMANDING that I enable notifications, will happily show me ads, but will not let me go further if notifications aren’t enabled. Plus, there isn’t a way to enable notifications in iOS settings either. Awesome job of making a mediocre app even worse!

Political and too many ads.. I am disappointed to see that even sports schedule apps take a political bent and in a discriminatory way. They need to be aware of their ads as well. Many are inappropriate for children. Disappointed and unfortunate.

Not suitable for young audiences due to XRated ads. I could not believe my eyes when I saw women with their bottoms hanging out and shaking on one of the ads. Despicable!!

Nope….. We have used several different apps for sports teams and this one is ,by far, the most difficult app to navigate. Would not recommend using it if at all possible

InstaTeam review. It’s a very helpful app to communicate with coaches and parents, share pics and check team schedules. The constant ad pop ups are really annoying and the only way to make them stop is to pay for it which I refuse to do.

Ok app. Ads seems to have become less which is huge! Weird that it asks for parents attendance- that is not necessary & throws off the accuracy when looking at the event profile. Prefer other sports team apps.

Terrible. Words are spelled wrong within the app. I created a sign up for a hockey tryout. When I registered my own child I got a confirmation for someone with a different name for a table tennis tournament. This app has some major issues that need to be fixed.
