Almost no learning curve. It's so easy. The free one is super simple and effective. I honestly found the upgrades in the paid version very useful and worth the price.

Great app. Love this app and the different tools that it has to work with. I am not an artist but would like to be, so I love playing around with this app and drawing and painting.

Has some bugs. I’ve used this app a couple of times. I LOVE the basic concept, the simplicity, etc. But it’s lost drawings I was working on. And this morning when I opened to a drawing I was working on last night, it was upside down. I KNOW I wasn’t working on it upside down. So, I’d I give it five stars if it could get the bugs worked out. I’d even kick in for the extra tools.

Easy. I just replaced several other note apps with this one. It has everything I need, ease of use is awesome.

App freeze and they never reply back.. Update/ I received developer reply Yesterday. I will change to 3 star now. And after finish complete update, I will change to 5 star review. I purchased this pro version. And when I tap new drawing, it freeze. I sent developer email twice and left messages on Facebook. But no reply. I feel so bad with this app. If they don’t send me any reply until this weekend I will report this to apple hq.

Was good. I love this app, and I use it to scale pictures to draw in my sketchbook, however, recently my pictures haven't been saving after I leave the app every time I rejoin the app it starts with a blank page. It didn't used to do this and there's no settings to change it! Please fix this! I really like this app but that feature is not convenient at all for me

I like it but we're are all my drawing?. I love this app I do really but I want to see all my drawings I wish this app could put all my drawings in like a folder I worked so hard on all of my drawings but I couldn't scroll down to see them all and it's really disappointing.

This is a great! But one question for you.. This app kept me relaxed and made me wind down when I needed to sleep or calm down. But I have a quick question, why don’t you add a label on the top of the sheet of paper and say something like...(draw like never before) or...(self portrait) that will make this app a bit more satisfying and fun. Before I got this I wondered if it had the the labels of the stuff you would draw. I saw an app that had just what I wanted but there were too many adds and once you are done with the add you start drawing then it gives you another add and messes up your drawing! That’s why I like this app better. Keep up the good work! Make more apps and have a great day.

An app with many features. My go to photo editing app for adding text, and or drawing etc. The auto save option is a must to enable. 3D Touch shines with this app.

I like it but.... It has crashed a couple of times on me. I think the text tool could be better and have options but it is still pretty good.

Fun but so mad. I did 3 drawings and I tried to go back to show someone and they won't let me go back to see my drawings! I worked for an hour and lost then all! So disappointed and upset, they were some of the best I have ever done

Very easy. I have Sketches from this developer which has a beautiful and fun GUI, so that got me curious about this app. The aim of this one is simplicity but it does the most important things and is perfect for what it is meant for. Very happy.

Great app.. This is a wonderful app. Please add notebooks and please allow PDF import and annotation. Then it would be the best! I really could teach with this I would ell all my students to get a copy. You guys rock! Your ruler is the best in the business! Thank you for this wonderful app but please make it better!

Used the app for years, but one big issue. I’ve used this app for years and loved it. However, one huge issue has been bothering me. Ever since a few months ago, the writing on my notes will disappear. I’d write for about twenty minutes and leave the app once only to discover that none of my work had been saved. It’s very very frustrating. I might consider switching if this continues.

I am a horrible artist, and thankfully this isn’t judgmental..... I love this program. I just use it to doodle and also get things out of my head and onto “paper.” I am a school teacher and this is great to let me list what I am doing next week or tomorrow and also draw out ideas for labs I want to do in class or anything else that pops in my head.

Great program!. I design clothing with this program. I can load a background photo of a mannequin, and draw on top of it. Anything I draw can be erased but not the mannequin. It's very convenient!

Why is the app different on my new ipad?. Fewer tools available in the new download on my new ipad. Also, long press on a tool does not allow me to change the size/width of the stroke on any tool. Help, please. TIA. Update. Figured it all out and now have all my tools and got the long press on the tool to once again display size and opacity options. Still love the program.

Could be good, but. The app keeps crashing while I'm trying to sketch my daughter. I get so far and then it just dumps me out and when I load it up again, the work I did is completely gone. Brand new iPad Pro as of today (3/4); 256gb, 4g, up to date iOS

Very Useful!. I'm surprised by how simple the controls work. I also like that this can be a good companion app for any other photo editing app, since you can copy into other drawing software on Mac OS X / macOS.

Real Nice 👍. This app is actually realy nice. I like how you can draw anytime anywhere and the variety of tools, color making, and screen rotation. Often sometimes I accidently hit the side and takes me to new page. Itll be really cool if theres an boundary outline and also set of portfolio to save and organize your masterpeices. Overall proud for coming up with this great app!!

Love it!. So I’ve been looking for a nice app for quick drawings and doodles without all the fanfare, but enough decent drawing tools. This is the one I finally fell in love with as I really enjoy the Tayasui Sketches app already. I really want to give it 4.5 stars but thats not an option. My one major complaint is the lack of two-finger-tap undo, which is available in the other Tayasui drawing apps. Im a little undo-happy and I’d appreciate that a lot. A smaller complaint is the way the color chooser doesnt display the full spectrum at the bottom, rather a segment that is scrolled left and right. This is a bit counterintuitive as it causes me to subconsciously swipe in the wrong direction because Im used to apps with a full spectrum and a slider. Anyway, love this app! Got pro right away after trying it. Very reasonable.

Very good, but has limitations. I thought I struck gold when I found this app, but now am very distracted by its limitations. Specifically: the dotted line paintroller tracking is very imprecise (making it difficult to keep track of my edges); layer visibility cannot be toggled; the resolution diminishes when the drawing includes too much detail. On the plus side, it's got one of the most attractive user interfaces around, which is actually a big deal.

Help. Love this app, and have used it over 1,000 times. Now with my iPhone 15 plus when importing photos, they jump out of position when I’m ready to fix their position. Still works fine on my iPhone 14. Any insights?

I like it but had big problem. I really enjoy this app!! It's one if my favorites and lets me be very creative. I have bean using this app for two years and there has never been any glitches. My big complaint is that I when I updated on my phone it won't register that I bought more tools and I really like those tools that I no longer have... I don't think it is an App Store problem but this happened once before and then it told me that I had bought more tools and I could get them back. I have had no such luck since then. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the app.

Like it a lot, but 2 things. I need something that is simple and quick to doodle/sketch on without distraction, it does the job except two thing I would hope they can have : 1. zen mode. Without the borders and other interface buttons showing would be perfect for distraction free doodling/sketching! 2. Finger blend/smudge tool please!

Favorite hand drawing app ever but needs notebooks!. I have tried sooooo many notepad and hand drawing apps. This one is elegant, intuitive, and just fun to use. It's really well-designed. But in order to replace everything else, it needs to offer some way of organizing drawings. I hope the developer is still updating this app!

Simple design, easy to use and transfer work to other apps, and the flow of the lines is unsurpassed by the biggest, most complicated drawing apps. Developers, please keep updating and adding sweet features and storage to your great app; don’t ever abandon our favorite, user friendly drawing app!

Great App. Back in the day, I played with software just to see what it could do. Such is the same with apps. Over the years I've tried many many note taking apps. This one is fun and simple and effective! 👍🏻

Please listen. It would be perfect but I was waist if my life on a masterpiece that glitches out and didn't save this always happens with the scalpel thing that makes thing smaller please fix this so i can play and not cry

Frustrating. I love this drawing app and I use it all the time but there is one huge problem with it. Once in awhile when I’m drawing something I will accidentally delete the picture by scrolling up, which is really horrible. Please look into fixing this, at least have something that can get the picture back after you accidentally delete it. It’s just too easy to make this mistake when you are drawing on a small screen.

Good app, but one little issue. This is great but my only problem is when your picking a color, a little dot is automatically on the paper then you have to select the eraser, and then when you switch back to the pen and pick a color the little dot shows on the paper with color you picked, then you have to erase again. Hopefully that problem will be fixed. Overall good app though.

I really like it!!. I use this app of my Instagram art and I am having a problem with it crashing a lot and always saving to my photos even though I didn’t draw anything yet. I've tried them all!. I have invested a lot of money into finding a digital writing device (pen) that I could feel comfortable with, wrote where and when I told it to, and that I could afford. This app and device together were my dream come true.

Easy drawing app. Used the app as the foundation for pictures on the Facebook page Service Dog Doodles. Very easy to use, even while sitting in a car. Many, many options for drawings available.

Not for the quaky. This app is overall one of the best I've ever used, especially for creating minimalist artwork. Unfortunately, I have a problem with shaky hands, and due to the lack of a sensitivity or correction tool, it is extremely difficult to use and maneuver this app. The boundaries of the drawing space are also somewhat dysfunctional, so when I try to make half of the screen one color and the other side of another with the fill tool, it ends up filling the entire screen; or, when I'm drawing things that extend to the boundaries, it cuts off, as if the aforementioned areas aren't even a part of my device. If a correction feature and a way to zoom out of the boundaries and into the non-drawing space were added, I would definitely use this as my primary app, but until then I need to stick to others. Thank you if you actually read this entire wall of text, I hope these features are added 😛.

great unless you like keeping drawings. This is the best IOS drawing app currently out in my opinion, but every time you exit the app it deletes whatever you have on screen sometimes, at random. Ive lost countless wonderful drawings ill never recreate, and i regret it so much.

Easy use. I like it because it has a simple use of tools and it is better than Apple Notes that I have on my iPhone. I can draw with more coloring options and as well with tools. I would recommend if you like simple tools.

Love this app, some flaws. I mostly use this for watercolor or pastel works. But, whenever I try to add a second layer, the software crashes and boots me to my home screen each time. Can you fix this? Update: I’ve gotten this app on my phone and restored purchases, but it still crashes whenever I add a new layer when the previous one used the watercolor tool. Please fix this.

Great with active stylus. I recently picked up one of those inexpensive active stylus pens that works on all touch screens, and I spent a long time trying to find an app that was decently accurate and didn't make my writing look super shaky. This one works great for that, and the interface is very fun and friendly. It's been great for making little doodles or jotting notes or simple diagrams. Definitely give this app a try.

LOVELY. So I was new to digital drawing and stuff so I got a ton of apps and they were all super confusing and I was overwhelmed. But when I got this BRO my drawing skills went way up compared to the other apps. It's easy to use and I really recommend it.

Never change!. I’ve tried out every Apple Pencil drawing apps (free and not). This app knows its assignment. I love the tools and color and pattern options. Thank you.

a library and layers needed. I’d be my favourite but i need a library where i can see all my drawings in order, where i can rearrange them if needed or organise them by files. A function that enables us to work with layers would be awesome as well.

It's great for my Instagram. I have been using this app to draw my characters and locations with stories and post them online and I know not a lot of people are interested or think I'm a good drawer but I still make it my own topic for my Instagram and I will use better app in the future but for now this is the beginning of it.

Overall High Quality. I use this app for what is likely an unhealthy amount of time every day. It’s very easy to understand, navigation is simple, and the photos are easy to save. My single complaint is that I wish there was a blending tool; I find myself manipulating “blended” looks with different opacities and it’s much more time consuming than it would be with one. Overall really nice with only the very rare glitch.

Often crashes with cut tool- but still good. This is my favourite app for notes- writing appears much smoother than most. Only issue is it often crashes when using the cut tool; this is frustrating as you can lose hours of work! I sent two emails however no response. I really hope they fix this problem with the cutting tool.

It's easy to see why this app rates at 4+ ⭐️. There are many good handwriting and drawing apps available for the iPad. Memopad is up there with the better ones!

Keeps Crashing! But still a good app.. Urgently my app keeps crashing. But overall the app is solid in its simplicity and purpose. Good integration with cloud and Evernote also simple that it saves as a picture. I use it mostly for scribbles and notes. Hope the devs can fix the bug I'm having.

Just awesome!. Sadly just got my first IPad after reading a great book that made me realise how amazing this tool could be! One main reason I wanted an IPad was to be able to draw quickly and get my ideas across without having to always find a pen and paper and then to be able to express my feelings on the idea trough maybe style and colour. This app was among the first 10 apps I have downloaded since owning this IPad and already after just downloading it, my mind is blown and just how much it met my wildest dreams! Its so bad!. I have tried this and i cant zoom and also i tried doing turtorial from the start and i dont have to zoom still and also Its so glitchy like...... its not that my iPad..... its the app its self and i tried doing an update to my iPad but my iPad was already updated. The third problem was it shuts down when ever it wants to and also, its not my iPad PROBLEM! 4th problem is that i cant have lots of morr brushes! YOU GUYS NEED TO HAVE AN UPDATE TO THIS DRAWING APP! and also like what i said its not my iPad doing it! I have a 7 gen iPad. So yeah.... im not trying to hate, its the app itself, but the first drawing app you made was SO GOOD! Not great. I pad for extras that are now free. Kind of tired of app developers doing that: it's a loss way to treat those of us who gave supported their apps. Would like to be able to continue onto next page. Needs smoother, calligraphic pen effects.

Soooo annoying. Don’t waste time or money on this one. Can’t do anything - what’s the point if you can’t save or do anything. Read the reviews - it’s ‘sister’ apps also just don’t work - this one does but the results disappear into thin air. Do not invest good money to see if that allows you to do more - read reviews!!

Great but. It’s really cool I don’t often write reviews but the price for Memopad pro is not worth the price $8 really it’s only for a little bit of stuff well it’s cool. The thing I don’t like is that it’s hard to go to the gallery thing it takes for ever. It’s good that you can reset the coulrs that’s all I have to say!!

Awesome quick drawing/memo app. Such a good app. So smooth and reliable. Would recommend to anyone looking to do quick drawings or notes. I would love the ability in a future update to be able to export a drawing as a PNG with no solid background colour. 👍

Gaensel. Still not fixed ... Still the same problems, it’s buggy and unreliable. Needs a simpler way to save sketches without the quirky way it wants to save images. Very disappointing as this type of app is badly needed! Sketches is so much better and easier to use. And save images.

A great app for cartooning. Yes there are a lot of drawing/note apps on the App Store and own them all, but this is a very well implemented app. It does not have layers and may not support my fancy Adonit stylus, but it is fast and responsive, produces nice clean lines, and fo me is my. New go-to for quick cartooning.

Best note taking and drawing app. I upgraded right away. Best set of features and responsiveness I've seen in a drawing and note taking app.

Perfect. This app is perfect for what it is: an elegant, simple drawing app for getting ideas down quickly. But unlike many other apps for the same purpose, the beautiful colours, brushed, and ink made me want to keep drawing & create more than just quick visual notes. :-) A really great, well-designed app. Nice too that the free version still includes enough to really use it & give it a try. I think I will become a paying customer. Great job!

better than sketches, needs layers. this app is better designed and more intuitive than the other drawing app by this developer (sketches)... the tools button/picker especially is a better design choice in comparison. the starting palette of colours is perfect. this is more multi-useful than many other apps out there, especially ones that focus just a single purpose. I use this on an iPhone 6s Plus, and it's easy and fun for notes, little drawings, simple diagrams; anything I need to convey via illustration. a better text interface (similar to the text journal in paper by 53) would improve this app. most of all I want layers here and would pay for that feature... sketches offers them but is way clunkier and less fun to use than this.

Layers Disappears. A really great app, I make all of my sketches on it but sometimes layers delete themselves and if I press the reverse button only small pieces of that layer show up, please fix!

Amazing App!! Well worth your money.. I've tried every drawing app on the App Store, but this is the one I keep coming back to.The interface is gorgeously minimalistic, but you still have all the tools you could ever possibly need. This is the only app which I genuinely enjoy using because I'm not bogged down by a hundred different menus. The developers have generously made the free version extremely powerful-- and they haven't even included ads. Please support them by buying the extra tools. At 2.99, you're getting a great deal and supporting a fantastic program. The only reason I haven't given this app five stars is because it sometimes crashes on my iPad Pro. I still love this app though!

Exports at such low quality. It sucks because the app is actually really nice and clean the issue is that once you export your creation it is such low quality that it is pretty much useless. I would like to get my money refunded

Great!. It's a really great app if you just want to doodle, or sketch some stuff! Definitely recommend it.

Good but. The app is great but I find when I do my art and I come back I try to draw and it doesn’t want to. It will do the drawing all over randomly like some glitch. Also when I use that shading lines/dots it applies where I don’t want it. Seems like you should test and fix a lot of stuff if you want people to keep paying.

Every app this Brand(Tayusi) creates, it's simply Beautiful, Clean, and with Awesome Features. 👌🏽 My rating: (scale : 5), User Interface: 5 (Simple; cluttered free), Functionality: 5 (Every tool you could think of...are available), Support: 5 (You probably won't even need it, as the tips will guide you throughout the usage), Seamless Integration : 4 (I wish there was a way to sync with Windows; but the app allows you to sync with iCloud, export to OneNote or any other app you like)

Delightful app with impressive attention to detail. This app is gorgeous and minimalist, yet brimming with features. Brushes and pens are all 3D Touch responsive, fully customizable, and very realistic. I quickly fell in love with this app and opted to upgrade for an unlimited palette and additional tools, but also just to show my appreciation to the app developer. The basic version on its own is stunning. The upgrade is worth it if you want to set up an extensive palette so that you never have to "mix" colours. Eye dropper tool and photo import features are indispensable. I haven't had any crashes, and I have been using the app for a few weeks. My only suggestion for a future update would be to allow for bigger canvases with greater zoom. And also maybe to have the palette auto hide. Cheers!

It’s terrible. I'm 9 and now I’m crying I drew a beautiful picture and now it’s deleted because a stupid bug that you probably did on purpose switched my drawing to a blank piece of paper and I wasn’t even done! I didn’t save it or anything!

Great app. I have other apps like this one, including high-end paid apps from big name developers ... but this app is my go-to. It is easy to use, flexible, and has many features.

It WAS great. Until a giant screen filling app showed up that you can't close and doesn't go away, rendering the app useless. Wtf.

Doesn’t Save. Whenever I attempt to save a sketch the app crashed and I lose everything. App is useless.

Another app by the same person with the same ui. It’s kind of good. Before the Apple Pencil existed. Now you can tap the screen and have a better version of this..

great app. this app is great for me because i love to sketch out my paintings. its super easy and theres not so much going on that its confusing so thats nice. the only thing i would like to see in future is being able to slide to choose brush size rather than the three presets

Great app but….. Why oh why have you made the shading patterns on the paint roller only rotate-able about 3/4 of the way around? This makes it impossible to shade any 3D sketches as the shading only goes in one direction. For example you can shade like this : //////////////////// But not like this: \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ This is a huge oversight. Please fix for 5 stars .

Read this before u get the app!!!!!. I like it but most of the stuff you have to buy like tools and custom colors also layers also making the pen big

Crashes- constantly. Don’t waste your money on this. It does not save and constantly crashes. I have lost ideas several times, so it is a no-go for me.

Awesome App. This app is a great way to draw whatever is on your mind. Whether you are an amazing artist, or can only draw stick figures, this app is for you.

Pretty good. I like that it saves images in photos but wish it had a toggle grid feature to help visualize drawings.

Dont download. I spent so much time on this drawing and then it just swiped on its own and I tried swiping down but my picture was gone!!!🤦🏽‍♀️😤🤬😡😡 I am highly upset with this app and half of the instructions dont even work for the app they arent helping at all!!😤 This app should be taken off the app store!!!!!!!😡🤦🏽‍♀️✌🏽✌🏽

Can’t delete drawings. No way to organize (or even delete) drawings that you create.

Did I pay for this?. This app crashes. Usually when loading a new canvas.

WARNING: It crashes and you’ll loose hours of work. Not reliable.. This was my favorite app for a while until it started crashing on me making hours of dedicated work disappear. Moving on to Pro-create. This was good while it last.

It crashed!. I was doing some random drawings at very fast speed just tied the response of this app and it crashed also my iPad Pro 9.7 gots a little temperature. Fix it baby!

Sudden Death. On my iPad Pro, this app is the easiest and most efficient drawing tool. However, after I draw some ideas, it suddenly shut off the app and it never saves the work I have done. I use repeatedly because of its convenience but I forget this app does not save important result of my valuable energy.

The best app quick sketch period.. It's simple, it's great for a quick sketch. Easy to learn and it's the young brother of sketches pro which is another great app.

Add lines or graph paper background. Can you please add the ability to change the background to lined notebook paper or graph paper please. I use it to take quick notes with Apple Pencil.

The one to get. This is a perfect app-easy to use, intuitive and fun. For a quick note or drawing, this should be on your homescreen.

It keeps on closing before I can do anything. Just bought it and upgraded to paid version a few mins ago.

ADD THESE MISSING THINGS!. 1. Layers! People use layers to have things organized when coloring 2. Can you add a White that matches the background color please! (Working on questions) :)

Horrible app. It will delete your drawing if you swipe up by mistake or when you’re trying to zoom out or am I work two hours on the sketch and it deleted it

hi. i remember being able to change the opacity of the image i used to import. i used to do this to trace over images. and i would then erase the background image. i cant do this anymore. please let me me know how to do this.

Take away pro, WHAT?. I vote The users they got the pro be grandfathered in because we’ve become a custom to the pro-Version. Just like the comment above I also use this as a therapy grounding technique tour and I tout it wherever and whenever I go.

How about adding third party stylus support to this app, too!. You support third party stylii on Sketches and Sketches Pro, why not for MemoPad. I’d liked to use this app, too, but without Adonit Bluetooth stylus support for this app, can’t use this app on my iPad Pro. I don’t like the Apple Pencil, please Tayasui team, add third party and current Adonit Bluetooth stylii support to the Memopad app, too!

It’s called memo pad. But anything written like - a memo can’t be turned into text, can it.
