Pretty good phone app while on the go. While questions aren't up to boards level, it does target information you might see there. Definitely good for doing recall questions to determine whether you actually know your stuff and is a fairly quick read. App is organized as well and you can separate out questions you don't know well.

Great for practice for 99 cents. Great for the price.

Great Q Bank. I'm not too deep in 2nd yr material but the anatomy Q's are great so far. Comes with usually well-explained rationale for the keyed/wrong answers.

Great resource. The questions in the app are great and I love the detailed rationales for each question. I would have gladly paid $100 for it

Low quality questions. Poor quality with incorrect info.

Unusable. The app freezes and crashes while trying to create an account.

Easy access to practice!. A friend told me about this app and I'm so glad he did! I'm using the USMLE First Aid book too, but that thing is a brick to carry around. This way I have practice readily available. When I'm waking up and wanna stay in the blankets a bit longer, at long traffic lights, in line, wherever! I feel like I can always learn something. The explanations are to the point and clarifying. They've even got the ability to improve a question with a quick email link that puts the question and everything in there for you. I haven't had to use it yet, but awesome feature! I also really like being able to rate my answers "don't know", "somewhat know", or "know". And then be able to review the question in each category separately or all together. Helps me really hone in on the things I need to be reminded of. Pricy, but no worse than any other worthwhile study tool for boards.

Great review of facts.. Not usmle Q style but great for assessing your important fact base and cleaning up errors. Information is usmle level. I recommend it, if this is what can find useful.

Any updates?. This app is a great review. Nevertheless, It needs some corrections on the writing and punctuation marks to make it more understandable. Are there any updates available?

Great app to review. It helps me review a lot of HY materials. You can rank the questions and note cards. Bunch of useful mnemonics as well.

Excellent app for Med students taking the USMLE steps. This is one of the best resources for preparing in questions for the usmle steps. Highly recommended

40 bucks for the upgrade really?!. Before I hesitated to purchase this when the price was only .99ct now they want more than 40 bucks for it! Such a rip off

Great app for the price. I gave this five stars not because it's the best study tool out there, but because it is definitely one of the best for the price. It is not as comprehensive as some resources, and the practice questions are probably not as Step-like as some of the better ones, but it is definitely on par with some that cost a lot more and have fewer questions. It has +1000 questions altogether, divided by topic (eg, pathology) and subtopic (eg, inflammation), and each question comes with detailed explanations. Unlike other kinds of question apps I've seen, it also comes with a large library of mnemonics to help remember random facts. It is also very convenient to use, allowing you to get some studying done during both long and short periods of free time. Really couldn't recommend it more highly. It is definitely worth the price and the time in going through the questions.

Customer Support. Customer support was awesome. This has been the best interaction i ever had with customer support. They answers questions at a reasonable time and they even followed up with me after my situation was solved. I like the people and I like the app.

Great Pocket-Quick Review. Great way to utilize time on a quick review. My wife cuts my hair, I do questions on this app. I'm between classes, I do questions. Taking time during a bowel movement? Do questions 😆

Very Dishonest and Frustrating App company. I had purchased full amount of several HLT apps, just because I like to learn from different sources, Just seeing Usmle step 1 app ( paid full amount price) just not opening, crushing and I am gonna go after my rights, My lawyer friend already created a case toward it. If You cannot promise Your word, why taken my money away in a trade of total frustrations? Another apps of the company started subscription based charges, so my account is not opening in my own paid apps of this company.... What the heck I have to deal with this crappy apps of HLT?

Best content & customer service. This app has some great content. Even better I was able to clarify my doubts through the customer service that I received. They were so helpful and polite. I am enjoying this app.

Too Easy - False Sense of Mastery. Gives you false sense of material mastery. The answer are often the most popular disease. I'm an undergrad and am hitting 50% pass by picking the answer (out of 4 choices) that "sounds" like the related diseases based on the name or picking the disease I know is related. The last question I under answered (physiology/ nervous system section) that prompted me to write this review: Q: Which is part of somatic system? A: answer choices included skeletal, glands, smooth muscle (things like that) It'd be different if that section had hundreds of questions with an occasional high school level question like this, but it only has 40 for the whole subcategory. That's not good use of study time.... Social sciences example: Drunk patient comes into ER. Do you expect sedation, dilated pupils, bradycardia, or tachypnea? Obviously sedation. If you throw in a "sure answer" everyone's gonna pick it and the person studying never gets to solidify knowledge and realize what he doesn't know. I imagine an actual USMLE question would gives choices like tachypnea, tachycardia, bradycardia, or dilated pupils. THAT would make you actually have to think between the choices and test what you really know and alert you to deficiencies of you got it wrong on the app! Of course there are harder questions, too, from my undergrad perspective . But it makes me wonder if those would be considered easy also by an actual med student... It does cover a good breadth of material though and gives nice explanations. Very convenient to use while waiting in line, on the us, etc.

Best customer service in the world!!!. Had an issue with my account and I called them pretty upset. Not only did they fix the problem right away but they were kind and very professional. Definitely didn't expect to get to talk to a real person but this company definitely sets the bar extremely high!!

Good for $0.99. This app is good for what I paid for it ($0.99 on sale). However, the questions are very basic, first order questions (not usmle style). I enjoy the convenience of using this app on my phone but would not pay more than $0.99 for it. I would not use this as one of my primary study resources, but it is great for times when I'm waiting in line for coffee or have just a few minutes to review.

Best Mobile Study Prep Tool. this app has great questions and I love being able to study on my commute.

Amazing for the price. They have great mnemonics, images... For 99 cents it was worth every penny, even if the questions are very first-order. You can't get the second order questions until you master the first order ones. I'd highly recommend it in addition to any other program you buy to start it first. Extra questions will not hurt your score. Probably worth at least $20-30

Um... Price point?. Seems like nice questions in the free demo. But the .99 cents for the full version that other reviews mention is a thing of the past. Now they want a whopping $49.99 to unlock the full question set. I'm no economist, but that seems pretty steep for what you get. Medical students aren't exactly made of money.
