Great!. Good way to track basic maintenance, have a small coder that provides actual text descriptions on your phone, and can reset errors if needed (huge advantage over cheap coders). It pesters you constantly about upgrading to premium while you set it up but the basic functionality is still very good after you say no a few times. My only wish is that you can add manual maintenance schedule items above and beyond what is included but even the basic ones that are included (and having the reminder) is a very powerful tool over a spreadsheet.

Nothing special High Priced Device. The commercials that I saw for this device claimed to provide a lot of features as a part of the purchase. Now, many of the features that were initially provided appear to be moving to a subscription model. The problem is that the device is priced higher than other similar devices. If this were a subscription from the start I would have purchased a cheaper device and just signed up for their subscription from the start. I received feedback from the developer indicating that nothing was removed from the original service. If this is the case, in my experience, all of the new pop ups and advertisements have made accessing the information more challenging for me. I appear to no longer see the information I thought I had originally been receiving in the manner I thought I had been receiving it.

Just a regular dude. I have never used or owned an OBD scanner before. I ordered a standard scanner and the FIXD at the same time. The standard scanner definitely seemed less intuitive and more confusing for a novice like me. The FIxD device was very simple. I downloaded the app and entered my vehicle information. The has a very simple GUI interface. It produced a graphic showing me where to plug the device in and I pressed the scan button. The FIXD app provided the codes with a pass-fail red light green light with a lot of other interesting features that allowed me to understand what was going on with my vehicle quickly and easily. The exact same codes were produced at my emissions testing place as I did double check with them. Again as a novice, was able to research a fix for the red fail codes and solve the problems myself. I am completely impressed with this device and would definitely recommend FIxD to anyone -pro or novice.

Bad customer experience. No functionality outside of their proprietary app. The app has an easy to understand interface and the codes are given in easy to understand language. However for more complicated vehicles it just isn't up to the task and a more advanced tool may be needed to diagnose the problem. This is where my chief complaint comes in. In a competitive field where an excellent OBD2 scanner is one third the price of the Fixd hardware, it makes no sense to lock their scanner to the app. If their hardware had functionality outside of their app (which they must intentionally limit) this would be a 5 star program (possibly deducting half a star on price). I understand locking the app to their unique hardware as you have to pay for development somehow and the app is free. But intentionally limiting which apps your customers can use with your hardware is a terrible way to do business.

First day opinion.. Well, so far I am satisfied with this device, although it is giving me a warning for a problem that so far, I cannot detect. It is also giving me a note to clear the engine light. I had an engine light for a day, after I left my keys in the ignition, and by the next morning the battery was dead. I charged the battery, got the car started, and that is when that light came on. After driving it for a half day, for approximately 80 miles, the light went out by itself. The next day, I got the “FIXD” unit delivered to my house, of course. It is giving me two possible faults. The first, a low voltage for the ignition switch. The other one, a possible problem with the transaxle, with possible shifting problems. I have not noticed problems with either, so far, however I am looking forward to seeing the performance of this unit in the future. By the way, I ordered the second version of the FIXD II. So far, so good ! At least it gives you an intelligent basis to relay information to your service provider. I hope... Con G. Englewood Ohio

Love it!!. My brother told me about this product about a year ago. He purchased it but never used it. At first I was skeptical. Recently he finally used it and I saw it was discounted and couldn’t believe the price. I made my purchase and couldn’t be happier!! It is amazing!! Especially if you know how to do your own work on vehicles. This is a must have for all vehicle owners!! They even send an email with the codes that appeared on you vehicle with a video explanation, for free!! I have to purchase the premium because this product is just that great and I need to support this company!!

I really wanted to like this but.... I understand you need WiFi or cellular data to connect to databases, stay updated etc etc but when your stuck somewhere with bad phone service it won’t work (only mentions Bluetooth but the data required always is inside after you buy it....) my $15 OBD2 will save the day if you have no service and you can use apps to update it when possible and uses Bluetooth and has many of the same features without the gimmick premium service..really, 7.99/mo? I’m a developer and can’t believe for certain services you need premium when some should be optional. I like the like the live gauges with a mounted tablet, but you need data to login lol.... other apps that connect to much cheaper OBD2 devices with live gauges work with no data (why would you need service data for that..?) oh, you need a required account to login with device to access that, dumb. I’ll stick to something else where I don’t need live data to login, especially if you’re stuck in a dead zone with no service. Come on. Would give 5 stars with such minor development work and fix many of the negative reviews. I could go on more how this can be easily improved while still giving out a premium option but this is just a disappointment (for me) I’m sure it’s fine for others that are not aware of unlocked OBD2 devices that cost 1/4 the price.

Loved this app!. AWESOME! Such a fast response! Thank you for fixing the situation. My dashboard light was on and since I have no mechanical experience I like to have a heads up before I go to mechanic. Looks like it’s just general maintenance this time… I can deal with that. Thank you guys! PREVIOUSLY: The app will not except my email and password on my iPhone… Which I know are correct because I can sign in on my desktop. Unfortunately, if I can’t connect to my iPhone I can’t use the gadget in my car to do the diagnosis. I have a request submitted to help me solve this issue… If we can I will change my rating to five stars.

Fixd saved me over $2000. My 2007 BMW 335i began misfiring and the engine light came on. It was still drivable but wasn’t performing like it should. I went to a mechanic and they said I need a new fuel injector and that it would cost $2300. I ordered the fixed device, plugged it in, and it told me which cylinder was misfiring and said to replace the cylinder boot before replacing the fuel injector unit, which was a $30 part from eBay and took me a half hour to do…They even provide a video showing you how. Fixd then turned off the engine light and reported that the issue was “fixed”. My car runs great now and the engine is humming. Way worth the $40, and $39 for the premium app support for 1 year

WHY WOULD YOU BUY THIS WHEN YOU CAN GET THE SAME ABILITY FOR FREE?. This is a great idea however, I have had “Car Scanner” for 5 years now and it has the same of now more ability to change or wipe pieces in the ECU. I bought a Wi-Fi obd2 piece for $30 eBay then downloaded “Car Scanner”. You can buy the premium version for like a $1! So this “FIXD” app really shows its greed and slaps you with a reoccurring monthly subscription or pay $99 up front for a year? Hah I think I’ll stick with my current app and and obd2 sending unit for a grand life total of $31 🤷🏼‍♂️ but there’s apparently a lot more people who’d rather give $100+ a year just to use the app lol and I am wondering if they realize there’s a much cheaper app option that has the same if not more capability out there!? So overall for the fact that there is already an app out there that has the same if not more capability and you have to pay $99 a year with FIXD instead of free with ads with “CAR SCANNER” for the past 5 years. I have to give them 2 stars overall…

Mixed feelings. I would like to give this a good review... unfortunately, I cannot. I received FIXD for Christmas from my mom and I was impressed with how easily it worked and how well it seems to have operate. I have actually had no problems with it (up to this point)... HOWEVER... please be CAUTIOUS when purchasing this device. My mother originally ordered a 3 (she purchased 2 and she got one free) of these FIXD devices as Christmas gifts...with no problem. They took her payment or $128 from her PayPal account, again, with no problem. HOWEVER, she received a SECOND shipment of these devices (3 of them) which she HADN’T ORDERED and they removed a SECOND PAYMENT of $128 from her account! She has tried, Ad Nauseam, to get this “second order” reconciled, but to no avail. They tell her that she needs to provide the second order number (which she doesn’t have... BECAUSE SHE NEVER MADE A SECOND ORDER!!!) Although I would like to think they are a legitimate company... the way they are conducting their business and customer service (not to mention stealing funds for product that were never ordered) it seem that this could very well be a SCAM! BE WARNED! This device may not be the only thing that is “FIXD”!

Emission pre check 7.99 a month???. I work at a car dealership and paid 50 bucks for this FIXD device because of the good reviews. It’s a good scanner. I’ve enjoyed it for the most part. I was a little disappointed the app didn’t allow the emissions systems readiness check (I check cars for emissions readiness almost on a daily basis) the first app didn’t come with it. In the new app update it now has the emissions precheck but it’s a subscription of 7.99 a month!!. It’s a total scam. If it was a one time purchase of 7.99 I would think about buying it. Every other scanner I have used has come with this feature as part of buying the scanner but FIXD does not. For the average customer having a emissions precheck is usually about a once a year event. So for FIXD to charge 7.99 a month I think they are total crooks. But that’s my 2 cents.

Worth it. I love FIXD and this app. It’s really great to have access to the car’s computer and the error codes. All you have to do is plug it in, scan and read the information (or watch the short video. From there you can figure out if you can fix it or if you need to take it to a mechanic. So far this has saved us hundreds of dollars and hours of time that would have been wasted at the mechanic. One other thing I appreciate is that we bought our device years ago and it still works well. This company does not try to rob you by outdating the device and forcing you to buy a new one. THIS is the sign of a quality, honest company.

No More Maintenance Log/Vehicle History Log. I was truly happy with the FIXD app but they recently removed the ability to do any maintenance log or add in any vehicle history log. Theres so many other maintenance that’s critical to keep track of like when i last had the brake pad service, brake fluid, cabin filter, and engine filter etc. Even though the app reminds you when you need to change your oil, i always liked to look back at my vehicle history log to see what Date I actually had the oil changed. Now any kind of vehicle history is gone and I lost 3 yrs worth of maintenance data on 2 of my cars. I dont understand why this feature is no longer part of the app since this is an app for people who care about their vehicles. This should be a basic app feature.

My savior. What can I say, this FIXD device is AWESOME…. Saves me money and leaves me with a clear mind knowing that I can tell what going on with my engine in this cold weather… the fact that I can detect the problem when the check engine light appears is such a relief plus the bonus for me is it actually shut the check engine light off leaving me with a clear mind and knowledge of what happening until I can get to a mechanic plus it also lets me know if the problem is serious leaving me with the choice weather I should drive my jaguar x or not…. For some reason I trust FIXD and am great full. Best thing thats ever happened since I bought this car…. THANKS!

It’s a fantastic application however…. If you have an archive of the Applications versions you need to go back before the redesign as the new design and functionality of the app absolutely trashes its reputation. from the inability to view live data at a normal size or full screen to the loss of the ability to tell what sensors are actually on your car the application seems to have lost all functionality any mechanic or common consumer would use. so many things about the previous version of the application and the previous design made it easier to use and understand. and I can no longer recommend this to any of my friends or colleagues until these glaring issues are fixed or addressed or the application moves back in version.

Good, but buggy. The app works well, but it’s execution is sometimes hit or miss. The daily, and I mean daily bug that I encounter is while the app is either running in the background or being used continually asks me to log into my iTunes account... Aside from this, overall, it’s great! Just tired of logging into my iTunes account. Edit: Hello lead dev! Certainly, describe and give you as much information as I can. I Purchased the device and downloaded the app at the start of September. I purchased two of them for two vehicles. I set up the app via the instructions for vehicle A (Honda) on my device (iPhone X). It was running the final version of iOS 12. I have since upgraded to the most recent iOS. I then changed the connection to that device to my fiancé’s phone (iPhone 8), and paired it because she would be driving it and checking it more often than myself. I wasn’t sure if you could do dual connections for one device. She has not updated to the new iOS and is running the last version of iOS 12. I then installed the other device in vehicle B (Nissan) via following the instructions. It tends to prompt the login when we start our respective vehicles. Sometimes I’ll get random ones while not driving. The only pattern I can see is when I start vehicle B and it will ask me to log in. I’ll update with more information if I observe different behavior. Thanks for your help!

Poor Customer Service. I purchased A FIXD Scanner that worked okay for a while. A couple of months into the subscription the module that connects to the OBD Port in the car stopped working. I reached out to customer service and opened up a ticket. I never received a call but an email with troubleshooting steps that did not resolve the issue. I asked if there was a way to receive device and they gave me the runaround. Asking me which website I purchase the device on and blah, blah, blah. I asked how can they not find my account when i’m a paying customer?? The app has all of my info and I had almost 6 months worth of service left. Again never received a call and they closed out my ticket. I would advise you to pay a little more and go with another service that appreciates paying customers.

Growth. This app has saved me so much as a young DIY’er who cant afford nice things so i have to take older things and make them nice. Ive been with this app for about 2 years and man has it come a long way! I don’t pay the yearly subscription but just whenever i need the function’s required for premium i will grab a monthly one. Must i also add in the AI mechanic is mind boggling realistic. Ive had full on conversations with it and honestly could of told me this was a true living human. All the way from saying thank you and even reassurance that im not completely stupid lol. The AI doesn't miss steps or leave out any possibilities. Ps… if you ask the AI mechanic how to use a certain in app function or process he will guide you through that also! Like live data and the meanings behind scan results with possible problems. With all the money i save from not paying a mechanic for basic car needs is well worth the premium chrage! Hats off to the developers and his team. Keep doing your thang. The little guy support's you!

Doesn’t work on old Subarus?. I have a 2004 Subaru Outback LLBean edition and the sensor doesn’t work in my car either. I have an iPhone 8+ and did all of their steps over and over and nothing. My phone sees the sensor, this app sees the sensor, but when I try to sync nothing happens. It just pops a problem connecting message and that’s it. This must be a major problem because their support has an auto-reply set up for it. You think they emailed you back like they care but try getting someone to reply after that initial email. Thankfully I didn’t buy into their scammy subscription which they pressure you to buy long before you ever have the sensor in your hand. And thankfully I’m only out $20 for this plus $6 for the “lifetime warranty” which I now suspect they will never honor.

Retired Heavy Equipment Maintinance Supt. I have got not one complaint to report about my experience so far and all 40 some odd years I have had all kinds of things thrown at me but this little FIXD unit is something that you cannot do without it is so simple to install and really no maintenance requirements so all you have to do if you don’t have the mechanical experience there are the avenues laid out for you to follow and get the information you need to have your vehicle repair or whatever without getting RIPPED OFF it’s great to have and very glad I have it

Bluetooth pairing problem. I always seem to have pairing issues with my FIXD OBD II reader on my vehicles, my 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer ES and my 2003 Nissan 350Z. I constantly have to keep trying to pair my vehicle to the reader about 5 to 10 times in many different ways like erasing my vehicles and pairing them again before it can finally pick up my vehicle. But then after I browse around the interface and something brings me to my internet browser and I go back to the FIXD app, I have to pair my vehicle again and it’s becoming an irritating big issue now. Please fix this issue ASAP, this is an awesome device but this problem is going to bring it down because connection with the vehicle to my phone is the main purpose for this device. But it’s not doing its job properly. I’m going to have to give this a rating of 2 out of 5. Until this problem is solved permanently then I’ll bring it back to a 5 out of 5

A lifesaver!. I own a hybrid Toyota Hylander, which Toyota designed so that if one cell out of the 12 cell battery pack dies, they expect you to replace the entire pack at a cost of $5000. Since the car has a regular battery anyway it can run on that, so there’s really no need to pay $5000 for a car that’s only worth $5000 to replace a battery in a car that’s only worth $5000. They also designed it so if the light comes on, the cruise control goes out. This app has been a lifesaver! I can reset the button when it tells me about the battery and my cruise control works again. I love it!

Has it all covered. I love this app and I rarely say that about apps. Not only does it allow me to track service on my car, my wife’s, and my daughter’s car (who never warns me about problems), it also has a log book for everything else. Gas, car washes, tolls, etc. Keeps track of everything on my cars so I no longer need to keep notebooks in each car. Really simple to connect once I found the port (which did take some work). Make sure you remember the number on the FIXD reader or you will have to remove it to get the number and then connect to your phone. My only concern is it falling out over time if I hit a bump or the connection gets loose.

Simply great. The app does a lot of good, where even having it without the Fixd device can be beneficial. I did find some inconveniences like the ultimate beginners guide had some issues with the link not being updated, but some advice and videos were helpful for getting my car back to full health. I wish to see some improvements made in the battery section, because when I got my battery checked, the diode had some issue’s that I wanted to put in to see my battery’s overall health. I was hoping that the app might be able to keep a notepad of sort, just to put information about repairs and work that you’re put in yourself. Overall the app is very good with making sure issues won’t arise, so while I feel like it needs polish, the app does a lot in getting you a head start on possible issues arising and information about maintaining your car.

Something that fixd should add to its program. Fixd is a great device with great abilities. One thing I’ve never seen on any programmers is the ability to start a mileage calculator when codes are cleared. And be able to know how many miles have been put on the vehicle since the codes were cleared. And if possible? How many miles are needed for codes to be cleared to allow the car to go in for a smog check. It’s frustrating driving the car for 40 miles or 100 miles or 250 miles and it just saying not enough miles yet. Is it possible for it to be more precise? I have close to 500 miles on a vehicle and it still just says not enough miles. If you want to to be the best programmer out there? You should look into this and make it possible. That will give you the edge over everyone!

Fine. It’s fine. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, though. It doesn’t tell me anything my car doesn’t already tell me. It would be nice if it could tell me, for example, what tire is having a low pressure issue. Instead it just says there’s a low pressure issue, something the car already does. Same with the engine light, it provides no extra info, just says it’s on. I don’t see a point in getting this if the information is the exact same that’s on the dashboard in front of me. It’s also a bit odd you have to manually update the mileage. I don’t know anything about cars but there’s got to be a way for either the FIXD device or the app independently to detect driving distance. It is nice to have something to remind me when to get an oil change, change wipers, check my battery, etc, but I could’ve just set reminders for that. Didn’t need to buy an entire extra device for this info. There are also issues with the app that are annoying. For instance, every time I open it it prompts me to re-enter my mileage and the last time I had my battery replaced.

FIXD Premium - Ripoff. I purchased the FIXD premium membership specifically for the benefit of the vehicle history reports, as I thought it would save me money on carfax reports when looking at used cars. Feels like a ripoff, as when I look at a vehicle that has a carfax report available, and has an accident and sales reported, the FIXD report doesn’t have any of this information. I’ve compared carfax and FIXD reports on multiple cars that have had more than one owner and/or accident history, and the FIXD report NEVER had any of the sale or accident information. The product works well otherwise, but definitely won’t be renewing the premium membership.

Who expected Freemium app with the hardware. App is ok but way too much is paywalled behind the pricey monthly subscription. And the app is obnoxiously geared to steer you to click and get you to buy it. I’m sure the get referral fees from the services they point you at. They did more clearly label the premium features, which just clarifies how minimal the app is without them. If you could hide them you would be mostly left with a basic scan and mediocre maintenance reminder. The device does work with other scanner apps. One can only hope they don’t try to lock those out in a future upgrade. Try car scanner pro for better scanning, stats, and graphs for free or minimal one time cost. Given the FIXD scanner costs more than other reputable models, one would expect their own app to include much more without a subscription. Subscription models are all the rage and maybe VC investors mouths watered with what might seem like a reasonable fee. But I might suggest the fee is excessive and the purchase of the device should come with a least a year of free premium service. Or a least a substantial portion of it. This would at least provide enough functionality to satisfy and justify future costs.

Great While it Lasted. I purchased two FIXD devices for the special discounted price of $89 approximately a year ago. In conjunction with the free app and online processing of the data to interpret the trouble codes, it was easy to understand. Used it a couple of times to diagnose troubles and it worked well. Just tried to use it again only to discover that the online service necessary to diagnose the codes now requires a subscription of $7.99 monthly or $59 annually. That was not part of the original deal. To continue using the sensor, I would now need to pay as much for the service EVERY year as I paid to buy the sensor! If I was a mechanic using the system regularly that might be acceptable. But for someone who might use the sensor a couple of times a year, that is completely unacceptable and I would argue unethical since it was not part of the purchase agreement. Save your money to pay the mechanic who is going to actually fix your problem!

As A New User Four Stars. I gave the app four stars because there is so much room for improvement. But first when purchasing the scanner it is not clear that you must have a subscription to use the scanner. Here are few suggestions for improvement. 1) The iPad app only works in portrait mode so you cannot use the app with a key pad with turning your head sideways. 2) You have to go into the app periodically and update your mileage in order to fully utilize the app. 3) There are apps out there, I.e. Road Trip, that allow you to track gas mileage and other expenses and repairs. If these features were incorporated into the FixD app you would need to update the mileage periodically because it would be updated weekly when you fill your tank or service/make repairs on the vehicle. Then this app would truely be a FIVE STAR app. 4) The scanner is always plugged into the port on the car so it would also be nice if the scanner would complete a scan at each start up and log the results as well as send a notification if a problem is detected during the scan.

Scam. Look at their reviews on their fb page.. Currently they’re at 3.3 stars. The reason why is because of the increasing influx of users who were charged $99 without warning, including me. In their ads, people asked about extra fees. The page replied that they don’t do that. Meanwhile, on the app, there’s a premium section- where they ask if you want it… and even if you say no, they STILL CHARGE YOU. they did two weeks later. Without asking. I got charged at 4am. So despite what they advertise, they are charging people without their permission. I checked my subscriptions via settings. There is nothing there for FIXD. It’s undeniably something shady. Luckily my bank shot it down because they knew it was weird. If you want an engine scanner find something elsewhere. Apparently there are free apps compatible with some other $20 scanner.

Scamy. The app was great. Really great. I was loving everything it could show and felt good about keeping up with my car since it’s older and a little beat up. But I was offered a one month premium free trial. So naturally, like most I took it. Then, a week later they billed me 70 dollars for their premium. But that wasn’t a month. And when I went into the app to try and cancel my premium they basically had it hidden. And then when I followed the iPhone instructions to cancel. The app didn’t even show up in my subscriptions. So no way to cancel. And after creating a dispute with PayPal they’re still pushing for it’s what I agreed on. But I agreed on a month. Not a week. And even if I had wanted to unsubscribe they wouldn’t have let me. It’s a trap. So get this obd because it’s great. But if you’re not planning on paying for the premium I wouldn’t even touch the trial. It’s just a way to scam you.

Amazing device. My transmission recently dropped. Moments prior to it dropping, I pulled it into a repair shop on the road I was on as my engine was struggling. My FIXD app warmed me on my phone that I was in trouble. It identified the problem and that it was severe. I told the mechanic the work numbers that were on display on my app. He said it was my transmission and that it most likely will need to be replaced. Just to rule out any possibility that the problem may have been something else, I had the mechanic check my engine and transmission. The FIXD app and device was unfortunately accurate. So, I have a new vehicle and am writing this review as I register my new vehicle to the FIXD app and device. It has been a great and reasonably priced investment. 👍

Scam. Bought the device, recalled not agreeing to the $99 premium service but still got charged after my card declined them twice, some how they went through with out my consent, I now have to cancel my card to prevent them from charging again. There is no option to dispute a charge on their app, it’s very hard to get in touch with customer service and even the automated service to cancel has not shown up on my email after three hours after the initial request. These folks are not honest and make it very hard to make it right. It makes me wonder about the over all information that will be provided during the scan, which I have not used yet due to the lack of support, transparency and dishonesty

FIXD is the best. Since purchasing the FIXD, I feel empowered when taking my car to the shop. Twice I’ve taken my 2011 Hyundai Sonata for maintenance and was told I didn’t need to have certain parts change or replaced outside of the oil and filter, but once I informed them that my FIXD is telling me these replacements are needed the argument is over. Today I took my car in for a new battery( adhering to my FIXD ) and the guy told me my battery was in good condition but it’s voltage or charge is low and it could be restored by a battery charger. I’m like really, so when it dies I’m supposed to flag someone down for a boost. Maybe just spend my money and buy a battery charger. I pulled out my FIXD and asked him if he wanted me to make the call because FIXD said it’s time. No hesitation no argument, new battery installed. Thanks FIXD, I love you, you take the fight right out of them.

Report bugs. I’ve bought FIXD sensor after I spent thousands of dollars for my car’s transmission and I found it really helpful for diagnosing and inspecting a car. However, when I started using the app, I found that I can’t select date that is in the bottom of the list when I add a last replacement date for wipers or battery. On top of that, the app should have where customers can go to report any issues when experiencing the app. I’m an entry level developer so I understand it is not convenient for customers when using the app. But anyway, the product (sensor + app) is such a good way for people who are not familiar with car maintenance to be confident when visiting a mechanic and they don’t have to overpay for the repair. Thank you FIXD.

Very Disappointed. This app is decent for viewing OBDII codes, but the maintenance log is VERY frustrating and marginally beneficial. I’ve reported this problem to FIXD, but the app switches vehicles when entering data for the tire depth so you end up overwriting data for the wrong vehicle. Also does not allow you to record info for brake replacement. Does not allow you to see the mileage for when you changed the oil. FIXD constantly emails me to upgrade to premium. They advertise for premium (most expensive) parts… I’m not interested in spending $250-$400 for an optima battery when my tried and true Interstate batteries aren’t mentioned. I would only recommend this app to view OBDII codes and getting recall info. Tired of the expensive advertising and lackluster maintenance features.

Not happy!. I paid $30 for the product! And then they wanted me to pay another $100 a year to be able to use it fully! Yes! $100! Every year! Not just once! Every single year! And they never tell you about it when they sell the product! They don’t even mention it! So you’re already paying $7-$8 every year for “full” inspection! But then you have to pay $100 to use this app? Can anyone tell me if that makes sense? I mean seriously?? There are already bunch of other products you can buy and just connect to your car and use “for free”! Plus if you need to go to a mechanic to see what’s wrong with your car they will probably charge less just to check your car! This is ridiculous! Feel free to pay $100 every year just to see if you need oil change or got ignition problems…

Easy to use and understand. All the othe scanners I tried only spoke “verified mechanic,” but FIXC speaks plain English. I can find, understand and take action on what’s happening with my car. The interface is easy to use, very intuitive and clean with simple graphics that don’t feel intimidating to see. I was able to find most of what I wanted the first time I used it. I love that I can see the range of what it will cost to fix something and shops near me that do the work. This has got to be the most user friendly app/device I’ve ever used! I’d like to see how to schedule reminders about oil changes, maintence records and maybe a way to scan my repair receipts so I can keep track of my vehicle maintenance. It may have these features and I’m overlooking them. My dash maintenance light is on, for instance, and I know that means I need an oil change, but some way to also track that on here would be special! LOL!

Money saver. Not only has this devise saved me $100’s of dollars by allowing me to fix things myself or by ordering the parts ahead of my visit to the shop… but also saved other family members. Anyone who is complaining about their car, running poorly, or with engine light on… I just grab my phone and the box and plug in. I have kept cars on the road after others have given up on them because I knew what was going on. Best money I have EVER spent on a car item and I don’t even pay for the premium!

Time and Money Saver. This is an amazing service. Now making your life easier. I bought this because because I’m having major car problems. I plugged it in and in seconds it showed me what was wrong. Not only that they have videos explaining what’s codes are what, what they mean, and everything you need to know. They show you certified techs in your area and give you an estimated cost on part and labor separately and then add everything together. I’ve had mechanics “diagnose” my vehicle for hundreds of dollars just for a “diagnosis”. This app and service does everything you need. Very easy to navigate through the app for those who aren’t as tech savvy. I recommend this to every and anyone. I’m not just saying that, I mean it.

Still new but it’s freaking awesome. I can’t believe how easy this was to setup and use immediately. First thing I did was scan my check engine light and it came back immediately with all the codes. Not only that, but it gave me possible fixes and it recommended the cheapest possible fix. I have contemplated for years gettin my own OBD II sensor and when I saw an ad for FIXD on Instagram I was attracted the idea right away. Thank you to the creators of this product and everyone behind this idea! Even though I’m poor, you gave me confidence to work on my own vehicle to save me time, money and hassle dealing with the a$$holes at the mechanics shop. God bless you.

Great System. I recently purchased a used car and one week after purchase my check engine light came on. When I called Chevy they said it was okay to drive as long as the light wasn’t flashing. It turned off by itself but 2 weeks later came back on again. I purchased FIXD in order to spare myself the charge for a diagnostic from the mechanic. Not only did I get a positive reading for a bad O2 sensor, but after it was replaced it gave me a new warning for the fuel trim bank. Upon notifying the mechanic he checked his employees work and found that the injector hose wasn’t secured properly (thank god thats all it was LOL). Since then zero issues and the car is running great. Great implementation. Even my mechanic and his crew were very impressed with the performance of the app and sensor. I’ve been recommending the product to everyone.

So far awesome. So far I am enjoying my FIXD OBD 2 port scanner. It saves me the time of traveling to a parts store to borrow there scanner. I was able to clear the codes on a 2012 Audi A4 (rocket on wheels) with V6 supercharged engine with just this one FIXD blue tooth adapter. I bought my FIXD because it really comes in handy I am able to communicate with my onboard computer in my 2014 Toyota Corolla just fine. But this is a consumer level device not designed for advanced diagnostics like the OBD2 system I used to run at Chrysler Plymouth. So don’t expect it to be able to tell you everything about your vehicle. Even our OBD2 system was not able to do that. It still took my ability to decipher what the computer was telling me to narrow any faults down. I am going to purchase a subscription right now to see if I can obtain additional information from my cars computer using my FIXED. 😀

I’m an unhappy premium customer. I got two when I ordered one. And one didn’t work to begin with said it was already registered to another email so it wouldn’t work with mine. I keep on getting charged and haven’t got to use mine but once. I actually tried to use it last night( we 2:30 this morning)in the rain because well something is wrong . I am a single mom of four babies under 4 yrs of age. I lost my husband in a tragic accident on his way to work. Right before ordered and got my FIXD because it would have been convenient and easy to use since he wasn’t here. I can’t drive my ride now because your FIXD products failed me. What good are they if one don’t work because it won’t pick up on internet or WiFi, or Bluetooth and the other came already registered and I couldn’t get on it. I’m an unhappy premium customer and only used mine one day.

Keeping mechanics shops Honest. Plug it in and leave it or wait till you have a problem (Engine Light) Then see if the Mechanic shop tells you the same thing. I had mine alert me and cleared it a few times, Took the vehicle to AutoZone and they tested it for FREE with their testers and said it was the same problem went to the shop and they verified it without me telling them and repaired it correctly, had a 2nd unit and did the same thing and another shop tried saying it was going to be a little over $2500 All in the end the bill was $275. Told the 2nd shop they were a fraud and reported them

Cheaper and quicker than a pro. I almost just wrote a bad review because my phone would not read the device. The device flashed its blue “im working” light, and all my software is up to date, but it just would not read. If anyone else has this issue: i just re-registered it. It told me it was already registered but gave me the option to delete it and register it again, and then it worked. Now i know what stupid menial issue is making the check engine light freak out and can proceed accordingly. Useful tool to have around, much much better than guessing. Or worse, having every coworker you know offer a different guess as to what it is. Who else wouldve told me about the idle air control system?

FIXD saves the day!. Until recently, my car has been relatively trouble-free. Lately, however, I’ve run into a few problems. It’s nice to know that when that “check engine” light comes on, I can instantly find out what the trouble is. It’s helpful to know if the problem is imminent disaster, and should pull over and call for a tow, or if it’s one of those things where I can still drive, but get fixed soon. In my particular case, I had coil packs go bad, and I was able to tell the mechanic “I have a misfire on cylinder 2”, and have him wonder how the heck I have such specific info! At least my mechanic is trustworthy. But this could be a lifesaver (or at least a wallet saver!) for someone going in blind. An unscrupulous mechanic can turn a vague “check engine” light into a gold mine.

I LOVE THE IDEA OF THIS APP, BUT.…. This app wastes so much time shoving ads and premium upgrades in my face that find it difficult to drill down to helpful productive information. The latest example: I bought and added an additional FIXD plugin for another car. After setting up the new car, I realized I got an email from FIXD saying that the new car was set up AND THAT I SIGN UP FOR A PREMIUM ACCOUNT. Since FIXD did this to me last time, I had my radar on for any subtle premium upgrades. I did not sign up for one, yet there is the confirmation email they sent me. It is so dang frustrating! Some other company will come along that will offer a similar service, scanning cars, but without all of the bait and switch dishonesty. For now, I will tell my friends to stay away from FIXD. And, no matter what, don’t give them your credit card!

Fixd. I brought the device saying that was all I needed and now you want my to pay 90 us a year for some I was told to just buy it and I could sort my car out with out cost you certainly got me , thank for nothing

Simply the best.. Have had a check engine light on for 3 weeks, and also noticed I was using a lot of fuel, plugged in my sensor and it fixed the problem straight away, highly recommended FIXD.

Waste of time and money. Don’t bother. This product does not work, it’s simply a waste of money. As a trade professional I can tell you it’s not even good as a code reader.

👍👍👍👍👍. I bought my FIXD for about 6 years now and I have no regrets.i use all different scan tools but this by far the best.

Fixed. So I already had this app on this phone I had to delete apps. And now the apps gone I can’t download itI bought two of you

Rubbish. This app caused multiple fault reports with the adaptive lighting on my car and intermittent reduction in performance of the aircon unit. Took it out and no issues since.

Wasting my time and money. Doesn’t work! Keeps saying “unknown error occurred “ “Try again “ Tried it again and again and again and again and again and again! Now I’m just annoyed I purchased some more Rubbish

Terrible. Terrible Device You purchase the OBD2 Bluetooth device, download the app and register. $149 a year seriously, for $200 you can buy a scanner outright with free software updates. Second, only after you register and purchase do you find your vehicle I not supported

New fixd device. Easy to install, worked first time finding already existing minor problems detected with other device, able to clear them, unlike other device, they will return tho and need to be addressed as described by fixd notes.

Won’t work on iphone6. When trying to download the app it says will only work with ios13 but my iphone6 has the latest os which is 12.6 I’ll be returning the reader for a refund.

Fixed. Six is a very good tool for a mechanically minded person just makes working on your vehicle so much easier as to pinpoint the faults it is a good tool but I don’t like the idea of needing to pay a monthly fee when I first brought it to use it was free and you only had to buy the scanning tool but now you gotta pay a monthly fee what the f but it is a good toolEspecially if you’re not mechanically minded it makes things much easier to pinpoint and work out

Disappointing. It couldn’t resolve a simple warning. It didn’t have the correct make/model/year available. It’s very insistent on allowing location access ALWAYS, which makes me think FIXD are more interested in data collection than anything else.

Waste of money and does nothing special. Purchased two and didn’t work. Now my dog uses it as a chewing toy.

Not for me. How do you un subscribe, I’m still in my free week, I want my money back

Which car. Questions do not include C200 MB. Why?

Great idea if it worked. Some functions are cool but if I have lights on my dash why does it say there’s nothing wong🤔

Fix it please. I just received the product yesterday and i cant use it as my cars details cant be fully completed, year of my mercedes benz c180 doesnt show up so i cant go further

Useless for our cars. Does not find any message lights and warnings for our Mercedes Vito type and Nissan dualists/qashqai.

FIXD. Best ever scanner

fixd not working. my tiguan airbag was on but didnt detects it. it says no problem detected

Tony. Just had my car fixed the problem it found was 100% correct thank you very much can highly recommended this device.

Not worth the money!. I watched a few marketing videos, which they are clearly good at but product is I believe not what they make it out to be or do. Yes the app looks pretty but not much functionality, nothing you can probably find on google. Yes It may clear codes but how can you know that for sure when it doesn’t clear the lights off the dash. My bad for not doing more research on the product & company before purchasing as it was just a waste of money from my perspective!

Useless. I just wasted my time and money on buying this item 3 of my cars none of them works on this freaking obd. I tried using my mates elm obd they work but this fixd obd nothing my car has engine light on but saying no problem all gauges not supported but on my mates obd all sensor is working and supported such a waste of money never again i will tell all my customers and friends not to buy from you guys.

Need to buy specific OBD reader.. I already own an OBD reader/sensor, why cant I use it with this app? I only wanted the app to use with my own OBD reader. It’s not clear that you must purchase their specific reader until AFTER you given them all your details and register an account.

Cruze diesel.. This has helped identify a number of engine codes - the main one being P200C DPF OVERHEAT. What has puzzled me is when this comes up with a cold engine. Other engine codes are related to sensors. P2A00 02 sensor P0101 MASS AIR SENSOR P200A Intake Monitor Control P2263 Turbo Pressure This confused me. Regards Jack

FIXD. It’s good But there mechanic is only for USA not much for Australia

Latest update. I updated to your latest update now the app is extremely slow to scan Please fix asap

Awful. Doesn’t let me even select a model year for my car in the initial setup process, just shows a blank list.

FIXD. Best gadget I have ever purchased. Has saved me and my friends heaps of money with accurate diagnosis. Love it👍

Mediocre device. Don’t buy Premium unless your in the US or waste your money.. I bought my FIXD device when they were new to market. Seemed impressive. When Premium became available, I subscribed thinking that I could actually USE premium in Australia… I couldn’t, which I discovered on year 4 when I asked customer device why I couldn’t use the service. Asked nicely for a refund given they provided no actual service and indeed COULD NOT. Advised “no” so bad luck. About AUD$500 wasted. Premium should not be allowed for Apple Au.

App not working. The app stops working you open it and it’s just a pinwheel with loading symbol

Really really nice but I wish there was a carplay app. It is real’y nice but the only thing I wished is that there were an apple carplay app to display sensor informations and the 0-100 things.

FIXD OBDII. The best tool someone like me who knows nothing about a vehicle can have. Little under 2 yrs has saved me more than $15,000CDN

Handy but hard to use. If you don’t pay for premium, navigating through the app is difficult. There’s no clear and easy way to find the results of a previous scan, or enter and access your own data. Everything tries to direct you to use the app’s repair scheduler or other premium features. Very irritating. The app used to be much clearer and easy to use but now it’s impossible to find anything.

No support. Won’t read a 2003 Honda Accord, and customer service does not answer

Works great. Love the app as it has saved me a lot of money and frustration and was considering Premium. Then I got an alert to purchase premium. Can’t clear the damm thing and it’s annoying. Putting an annoying alert in that should clear the alert when you purchase premium is a dirty way to sell premium

Brake fluid and coolant replacement intervals. I don’t see reminders for both in your app

Wallet. These people do not conduct their business honestly, I bought their device for 19$, but in the end I paid 46.97$ is the first thing I did not like !!!! But it didn't end there, I waited for the device for 2 weeks and then when it finally arrived to me, the next day I started incomprehensible debits from my card in the amount of 99.99$, I don't understand why !!!?? I immediately blocked it because I did not sign up for anything and did not even download their application !!!! I wrote to support where they told me that it was a premium subscription, but where did it come from if I did not even use their device, I canceled the subscription following the instructions but the debit did not stop !!!!!!. And I had to write to them again in a rude way !!! And I really hope that there will be no more debits !!!

Premium subscription. Recently charged $100 in iTunes. Email suggesting I Subscribed to premium edition. Used it once last week and nit for a year prior to that. Must be a sneaky in app purchase I wasn’t aware of or I was misled. Just went to the car to check a tire pressure fault and emergency brake indicator. Would have been cheaper to take it to Toyota as it didn’t generate any faults.

Forced buy. The scanner works well but their negative billing is a pain. I have bought three but will not buy any more as they negative bill a subscription that you have to cancel or they charge the subscription. When you buy a sensor they no longer give the option of opting out so you have to cancel it yourself. Greed has gotten the best of a good product.

Worst purchase of 2021.. I bought this to diagnose my fiancé’s 2012 Mazda 5 upon getting it and following setup procedure it would not let me save a vehicle or even save the name for the vehicle. In turn I could not finish the Setup process. So I can’t scan the check engine light I can’t do anything. I’ve uninstalled the app5 separate times now also restarted my phone 2 separate occasions. I even paid for a premium membership thinking maybe I have to sign up for it to work and nothing. Do NOT BUY this product. It is good for nothing. Literally a waste of money and time .

DIY. Best thing I have ever purchased, I can make my own call if I want the problem fixed, leave it, fix it myself. Really a money saver!

Why auto update to a version that won’t run on target device?. The app auto-updated to a version that is not supported on the phone (iOS 14.x to 15.x). So, you’ve taken an app that was working perfectly well on my device, and now the app has bricked itself. Not great.

New to FIXD. I was impressed by the packaging when my FIXD code reader arrived. Set up was easy although I had to be very close to my house as I only have WIFI. The layout is well thought out. On my first scan I was able to look at the issues and then cancel the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light.

Trying to get you to pay more $$$$$. The ad for their premium service pops up CONSTAAAAAANTLY. You pay for their gadget, and then they ask you to shell out $90+ a year, otherwise, all the information of what’s wrong with your vehicle is locked behind their paywall. Which, did I mention, CONSTANTLY POPS UP.

Good Tool - Premium Useless in Canada. Original Review: Basically paid half the price of a diagnostic test to buy this device. I would have spent 1hr of diagnostic rate to fix a $2 problem. I’ll be able to avoid going to the shop until necessary now! The review above still stands but this was before I gave Premium a shot. It doesn’t pull vin checks from Canadian organizations, so no service history, accident history, etc done in Canada will show up. Utterly useless in trying to find out the history of a car you’re looking to buy. I requested a refund because it doesn’t tell you that it’s a complete waste of money if you’re a Canadian customer.

Transmission ?. No Extra charges to upgrades on-a Subscription Premium charge. Original $0.( Terms didn’t say their would be any COST INCREASE) ??? Premium $59.99 a year, ??? Premium $78.99 a year ???

Car will not start. Having a bit of a problem with my 2000 Passat will not start says short to ground cam shaft sensor?

Pay wall after pay wall. This app is garbage on top of paying for there scanner you have to pay 98$ a year, and if you use the free version it’s pay wall after pay wall.

Awesome!!!!!. Fixd is awesome…..it helped me identifying the problem and suggested the place to get it repaired and the price was almost the same as well. The product quality and build is light but works as a charm.

Constant OS updates are unnecessary. Cool tool, nice idea, repeatedly needing to update iOS to use its features is stupid. Will be using a different scanner from now on.

Fixd sensor. Amazing product I love it and it works as advertised

Disappointed. I give you a 0 Stars why because I bought your product on September 1, 2023 and still never got my product I have sent messages two times about it and never got a response back thank you for ripping me off and I suppose I probably won’t get my refund back either thanks for nothing 😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

Looks like a scam. I purchased their scanner and they automatically subscribed me to a premium account without my consent. I’m super disappointed before even receiving the scanner which I feel like returning already.

Great scanner but the app has minor bugs that I’m sure will be fixed in time. Ordered my FIXD scanner online for far less than what they charge for super basic code readers at my local hardware/automotive stores. I found the premium subscription a bit confusing at first and now I can’t get the notification to go away saying to renew it even though I’ve purchased a full year of premium, minor glitch for an app that does far more than any basic scanner I was surprised to find the incident reports for my vehicle and everything else recorded under its VIN I didn’t even know it had been in an accident but now knowing it’s helped me to diagnose a bent axle on the front passenger side of my vehicle, I wouldn’t have even investigated it until I found out it had been in an accident before, for the price of the scanner and the premium service on the app it’s a far better deal than almost any basic scanner and far cheaper than an inspection and hours of diagnosis in a mechanics shop, this scanner provides in detail what your OBD code is trying to tell you without the hassle of looking up codes on the internet and trying to track down parts it tells you exactly what you need to repair your vehicle as well as tracking maintenance all in one app, no more log books for me. I’d recommend this to anyone over going to a Canadian tire/autozone and buying an overpriced scanner that only allows you to read codes and erase them.

Fixed. This little device that is Bluetooth enabled is fantastic. Everybody should have one when they sell cars that should be included with the car. it has saved me. I love this little thing.

Version 24.05. Scans and logs stopped recording history in January. Scans done in February are added to January history. Also I wish I could delete them.

Useless. Unless your car has serious issues consistently, it’s a waste. Also, they send messages for everything except telling you when the subscription is going to renew. Now im stuck with this for another year

Feel back. This works pretty good I bought a code reader and it was giving me the same kinda codes so I’d say it works and buying the subscription for a yr is decent price for the month it could be less I feel

This thing kicks A**. Get it!!. The freebie has so much info it’s a must have. Git ‘er Dun

Doesn’t support all makes. Won’t recognize my vin and thinks that a c230 Benz doesn’t exist….

Fixd scanner. The best for getting the job done your self love fixd scanner

WAY too much hassle. In my experience this app is designed for Americans only. Some features are only available to Canadians through a third party for an extra fee which isn’t very fair and should have been made clear before the purchase of the sensor. No account is created to start, manage, and end subscriptions which causes a number of headaches. For example the free trial of the Premium subscription started at the time I purchased the sensor instead of being activated when I received the sensor and downloaded the app. So it had expired before I had sensor in hand. When I downloaded the app I couldn’t tell it I already had a free trial, I had to start a new one, which I think caused other problems later on. Customer service takes days to respond and don’t really seem to know what they’re doing. According to an email I received I should have been able to cancel my subscription in Apple but it was nowhere to be found. Not in Apple where the rest of my subscriptions are located and since there’s no account created there isn’t a place in the app to cancel a subscription. They were good about refunding the cost of the sensor and supposedly cancelled my subscription when I asked, but I’ve been waiting weeks for their computers to stop trying to charge my card for another month of the subscription. When I emailed customer service about it they just said my subscription was cancelled already. I recently received an automatic email saying my account has been overdue for a while and they haven’t been able to reach me (I have several emails and two service ticket numbers proving otherwise) and could I please click the link to update my payment info. Again, no option to choose to cancel the subscription. If this isn’t resolved soon, I’m going to have to cancel my card and start a new one which would be a huge inconvenience. This company feels like it’s not not keeping up with its growth and isn’t ready to sell to an international market yet, which is too bad because the sensor and app have many cool features and possibilities. But until they can deliver the same features to all their buyers maybe they should stick to a US only market, or offer a discounted subscription rate for those who can’t access the American-only features.

Better than expected!. At first I thought It will not work as good as a conventional code reader, results, it’s way better! I only have the gas tank level on my car cluster, and with this app and the sensor I can see the live data of all my car sensors. For the code scanning fonction, it’s awesome! You scan the code, they tell you what’s wrong with the car, how much it could cost, they tell you what the code means, how bad it can affect you car, how to fix it and way much more. I highly recommend this product! This is awesome!

FIXD. Easy to install, easy to use. Learning cure pretty much straight up. Price point also appears to be on par (certainly worth it to know what os going on with your vehicle)

Definitely Worth Getting!!. For those of you considering buying FIXD: all I can say is it’s worth the $19.99! Even if you don’t subscribe to the premium thingy! Ignore the people who gave it a one star review! For those of you who have tried it, and have given FIXD only one star - you’re idiots if you can’t figure this thing out!! Lol

Do Not Buy. I bought the FIXD unit for 43.99. I received a in the mail. I followed the instruction to download the App. Installed the app. To find out you must pay a subscription of $156.00 a year for full access to all the features it has to offer. Since I didn’t want to pay I only get a few options, scan, erase code, when I need my next oil change, my tire depth. Save your money and buy a Motopower OBDII EOBD model number MP69033 for $28.00 that you have all the feature available, just not on your phone.

Useless. Told me I had a small minimal repair…turned out to be $1200. This thing is useless. And no I didn’t get ripped off by my brother the mechanic working on my truck.

Fixed. Gives me most info I need except for abs issues. I like I can find the issue and repair it. No expensive computer necessary.

Impressive. Got it to scan my car and it showed the error code I had earlier seen when someone else scanned it. It also cleared it in less than a minute

Don’t get the trial. I signed up for the trial and tried to get ahold of them to cancel it as o did not have the money for it yet and they ignored me and now it’s out of my account and something bounced because of it and the website says I have 7 days after the money comes out to cancel and here I am on the fifth day and they are not getting back to me at all

Great useful item. Now that I own this device I wouldn’t be without it. I keep tabs on my car and very, very few unexpected surprises regarding car repairs. I check my app weekly and heed warnings before anything becomes major. Love this gadget!

Great Device. I would like it much better if the App would identify my unit as a motor home class C with a E350 and V10 engine. The app as is seeing it as a regular E350 Ford Truck.

FixD. Awesome app

THANK YOU !!!. The previous used vehicle I bought I only drove it for 3 months and then stored it for 6 months in winter. Took it back out and in two months the transmission went. I purchased the extended warranty but because I didn’t take it in for its 6 months check in they wouldn’t do anything for me. Single mom. Now it’s just me and there was a promotion for this little gem so I took a chance and I am so so so happy and grateful I did. When it said enjoy your new car and that there was nothing wrong with it I was ecstatic !! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !!! Anyone who doesn’t know anything about vehicles should get one. You can test your vehicle before taking it to a mechanic so the mechanic can’t rip you off !!!! UPDATE !!!! It’s been over a year and my car is still running perfect !! I scan it often to make sure everything is good to go :) I highly recommend purchasing this little miracle !!

FIXD. Great app. The only thing that would make it better is if the programmers brought back ability of options selected to rotate when phone is rotated. Vertical phone vertical display.. horizontal phone horizontal display.

Grifted. A good product but a horrible company. To unscribe falls on deaf ears an annual subscriptions are not refundable. Even on the day of pay-pal payment. A phone call one year ago did not cancel my subscription. Yet today I am billed for a service I have not used for 2 years!!

FIX your app. 1 misclick and you are subscribed to the premium. No confirmation, no face id or passcode entered. Just like a menu option it will charge you $46. Never seen this on any other app. FIX your in-app purchases.

Caution. Seems like they are a scam company.

Better car scanners for cheaper. This system is garbage, for the price I could get to different brand scanners and they work better

Not happy. 1st 2 weeks it worked great picking up all the problems with my car now it says that the FIXD is not supported don’t know if it’s my cellphone or the box that’s not supported also tells me some crap about not having data connection to switch to WiFi we’ll have done it vice versa tried it with WiFi and also the data won’t even connect with my Bluetooth it tells me it’s not supported and I know for some reason the developer is going to respond to me it’s not there fault it don’t need Bluetooth or data bla bla bla so I guess that was $50 dollars burned thanks fixd because it did not fixd nothing plus I’m more mad that I have to give it 1 star to be Able to post this review

Great Tool!. I’ve used this app since it’s start many years ago. I use it to check all my vehicles anytime something seems off. Going into a repair shop is such a hassle. I try to fix little things myself, but if I need to have a mechanic fix something, I know what to tell them might be wrong. Most mechanics appreciate having an idea of what to look for. It saves both of us time. HIGHLY recommend to ANYONE who drives!

Know before you buy. While the app is not currently working due to update issues, the app is overall decent. The worst part is spending a good amount of money on a OBDII sensor that when advertised, is shown to do all these cool things. It is not until the device arrives and you go to download the app that you find out it also has a subscription package of which I can not remember the price of (app not working). The subscription package has more tool to it that would be very helpful considering your spending 30-60 dollars on the item itself.

Totally disappointed. I was really excited about the possibility to use fixed. When the product arrives looks great, the app was promising, but when I tried to check engine of my Nissan 2002 was really hard to synchronize the device with my phone. I tried all that they recommended in this situations and didn’t work. The emission test never worked. I ‘m a really patience guy and I love give second chances for more for startup companies, but their response was “ vague and said that “fixd can only check the check engine light”. This is not going to resolve my problem even after sent me more than 3 emails per day for one month promising resolve my life... Great marketing team, bad product.

Completely Unusable. I paid for a FIXD device and a year of the FIXD Premium subscription. My iPhone 12 Pro is on iOS 14.1 and I am unable to update due to unrelated factors. I’d had the FIXD app on this phone before, but at some point it was offloaded to save space. Now the app requires iOS 14.3 to function. Ordinarily this would be fine because I can simply download the older version that’s compatible with my device. But FIXD developers removed all previous versions of the app that were compatible with iOS 14.1 from the App Store. I paid for it, and they took it away. ___ If you’re reading this, don’t get this app. Instead, download Car Scanner ELM OBD2. It’s free and offers way more features than this app. It works perfectly with the FIXD scanner over Bluetooth. It’s ridiculous that FIXD charges a premium just to use basic features, on top of you paying for the device. The app is poorly maintained and their customer service is seemingly non-existent.

The Sensor works decent, but the app needs work.. This App for IOS takes a while to boot, then you have to scan it, wait for it to load all the error codes, then erase, then scan again because it says CEL is still on even though it’s off, then “calibrate it” every single time after that for mileage, even one mile later. Why are there so many extra steps to just clear the light? I wish they didn’t try to force the premium down your throat. Already paid $50 for the sensor, don’t want to pay for a yearly subscription too that I will never use. Please stop notifying us about it please.

Huh uh.. These things are absolutely awful. I saw the video and thought they might be cool and knowing my mom is always looking for gift ideas told her about them so she ordered 5 of them. My truck has 1 light going off and my wife’s has 3. Neither of these “fixd” things picked up anything- only said everything was fine. It’s a sc am and they’re extemely overpriced- and.....you have to purchase 1 for each individual car. O’Reilly auto parts or any auto parts store will loan you better reading equipment for free (that actually works) and that is what you should use. Luckily for Fixd my mom lost the receipts in the recent hurricane as her house was flooded. Stay away from this product and don’t believe any of the automated generated good feedback.

$$$. The only problem I have with this device is the subscription. You can pay a couple hundred dollars for another one and be done with it. (Financially). I don’t think this is for the do it yourselfers. Since it has a monthly price tag, I think this device should be for ppl who work on cars constantly. I just used it to fix my car and who knows when I’ll use it again. Could be next week could be next year. But that bill comes every month regardless.

Review for my Honda Accord LX. Well for a woman I like to keep my cars up to date with evrything bcuz I always have my kids or friends in my car and I love going places. When I bought the FIXD device thing, it was a game changer. I didnt need to beg any man in my family to please help me out with my car. Getting this and setting it up myself was so easy and it explains evrything perfectly to my understanding. I am definitely recommending evryone in the entire world should invest in getting one of these things. U will not regret it💯

A small suggestion. I LOVE this app! It’s very convenient and has saved me a lot of speculation of what might be causing my dash lights. But I have a suggestion, could you possibly add CarPlay integration? It is quite tedious and sometimes just not safe to use this for mid-drive tests since it’s only on my phone. If there were a way to see analysis on my stereo screen, that would be awesome! Aside from that, I’ve never seen anything so useful for customer-diagnosis and self-service!

1st time I used it!. I had just come back from O’Riely? Where they ran a scan on my Jaguar and found only two minor problems with their big high priced machine. I got home and found the Scanner I ordered from you was delivered. I took your Scanner, followed the directions and was found 10 problems with explanations for each! This is a product that every car owner must have! Thank you so much! 10 STARS RATED for me. Calvin Myrick

Stolen car prevention?. Any way to track your car, lock your car, have a geo fence, real time help for preventing your car from being stolen and real time help with locating the car when stolen? I love this app.. but I’m in Minneapolis where cars are stolen every other second and I’m worried because my sons brand new car that he bought a month ago was stolen two days ago. Very nervous!!

Solved the hidden problem. I had a 2012 Ford Fusion that had a light come on every trip I took and when I would have it checked by my local auto shop they would always say nothing is wrong. The second I plugged in my FIXD it registered the error and told me what was wrong. It was a pretty major error that I got fixed and now I drive with confidence knowing FIXD will know if something is wrong and that it has my back.

Work in progress. Overall it’s great, but does have its issues. I’ve had it for over a year now and it worked flawlessly until one of the many updates. I contacted customer service and they did everything but blame the software. After one of the latest updates it now seems to work as it’s supposed to again. I’d love to see integration with google maps. The hudway navigation is terrible. I understand it’s used for the optional heads up display but maybe have an option to choose your navigation preference. Mileage log would be a nice feature too

Not particularly useful. I bought the box and downloaded the app only to find that it knew very little about either of my Ford models, one a year old, the other a decade old. It always reminds me that updates are frequent, so check back. After some months, it does know a bit more but now shrouds the really useful information behind their paywall. They also use scare tactics to sell: upgrade to pro version to see how serious this might be. It’s an expensive service for someone who just wants to maintain an already reliable car. And they should give away the box at the price of the subscription. I do not recommend this product.

Unwanted, unusable update. Latest update was inadvertently installed on my phone because the annoying update reminder kept popping up, and my replaced phone screen has a mind of its own. I have nevertheless enjoyed the app for a couple of years now, but this update makes the live gauges less functional and look worse; it also won’t display charts unless you update to iOS 16, which I don’t want to risk on my XS Max given reports of front camera issues etc. with it. I’m giving 3 stars because the update deserves just one.

Doesn’t clear check engine light!. Up until now I really didn’t have a lot of issues with this app. It never blew me away with its UI and capabilities but it also was helpful in identifying the reason for a check engine light and keeping track of tire tread, need for an oil change, etc. That being said, I recently had a check engine light come on for, you guessed it, the gas tank cap not being tightened properly. After running the diagnostic and finding this out, I rectified the issue and tried to clear the dash light to no avail. I even went to the aggressive clear option under the toolbox tab and that didn’t work either. Both options simply run the scanner again, they do not clear the check engine light.

Good for checking what I didn’t think about.. I just received my FIXD device and used it this morning on my 2014 Honda Crosstour V6 4wd. Once set-up, it did its scan and things are good- which is a relief! This is a vehicle I want to keep for as long as possible, so this tool is apart of that effort. Now I know a camshaft position sensor will be purchased in the near future to forego a common failure with this vehicle, which I was not aware of. I will use this tool for our 2013 Volvo XC90 AWD for the same purposes. I am happy to take advantage of the sale price and the 1 yr support package.

Not an OBD scanner, only works for CEL codes. So I am 0 for 2 on getting this to help me, so I’m done with my new paper weight. FIXD Support replied to my last review saying they would help me read my log files because the app wouldn’t read my transmission errors... then when I sent them a support case (like they told me to) I got the runaround on the first reply and after I copy / pasted the response to my review they did a 180 and told me the device doesn’t read transmission codes and other errors, only Check Engine Light codes - you know the ones you can get read for free at any autozone... geez guys, thanks for the jerk off... not worth the time or money... just goto autozone and don’t waste time with this

Scam. Ordered three units but cannot use them as they require a subscription. Zero customer service support. Inquired through IG as well. No responses. I wouldn’t waste my money if I could do it over again. Regarding the response from FIXD; false, when attempting to add the second scanner on the second vehicle, the app’s only next option was to subscribe, x-ing out of it only takes you back to attempt to add once again. It seems like a complete scam…. Update: after posting this, the developer reached out via a response through the Apple Store. I tried to scan a third vehicle (I bought three scanners) and this time it allowed me to “x” out of the pop up subscription menu and actually scan the vehicle.

Great Device - Saved us $$$. Fixd worked perfectly the first time I needed it. My car had barely started and sounded like it was falling apart, and of course the "Check Engine" light came on. Considering the noise, I would normally have had it towed to a repair shop ($$), and probably been charged plenty ($$$) to find out the battery had been too low to engage the electronic throttle control. Instead, FIXD figures it out and I was able to recharge and be on my way. Thanks, guys. Great product.

G McCrory. The gentleman that is referred to by ha ha doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about and put it in my van and it found every problem I’m media without question and even a problem at the AutoZone shop did so depending on how well you take care of your cars cause according to your post there’s multiple lights on multiple vehicles maybe you are opening a bad day or maybe you just don’t take care of him and there’s a short but I have friends that are mechanics and they’re completely impressed by this device

Worth it!!. This little device is a lifesaver!! Rather than pay triple digit prices just for a diagnostic somewhere, my FIXD device tells me more than what a garage would, and gives me the honest news in easy to understand language. I drive an older car, so the sensors that go off aren’t necessarily the same as the sensors in today’s cars. So now I can tell for sure if it’s something to be worried about or something I can fix on my own when that dreaded little check engine light comes on. The AI Mechanic feature is insanely advanced, and helps take away some of that fear of going to the shop. Now instead of the old “it makes this sound”, you can say exactly what the issue is. It’s perfect to not get taken advantage of! I haven’t subscribed to the premium services yet, but once I do I will come back and expand on that!

Money saver. I definately will never discount the value of a good mechanic but this levels a lot of playing field. I am fortunate to have good technicians and an honest dealership that service my cars. But the FIXD tool gives me a heads up on what I’m walking into and. What cost to expect. It has pretty much been spot on and where it hints u what is going on you can google the rest or go in forums. Well worth the investment. I purchased one for each cat and leave it plugged in.

Very helpful. When I bought this device I thought that in addition to telling you what the problem is that it would also allow you to clear the check engine light. That is not the case here and you should be aware of it. Although a disappointment, the value of this device is more than worth the cost. Main thing is that you know when you have to take immediate action versus being able to continue on your way.

Bought used car. After paying cash for a used car, I immediately ordered this scanner. It indicated that I needed a new catalytic converter. I was able to take it back to the dealership and have them replace it for free! They also told me that the scanner was extremely accurate!! I LOVE this scanner because it saved me over $1500 right after purchase. It has paid for itself many times over in 1 month. Get one!!

Some suggestions?. I really love the app for what I paid for it with the scanner as well. What would be really awesome if we could input our own maintenance, like I just recently replaced my air filters and all you have are oil tires wipers having on the maintenance page where we can add our own stuff like the differential fluid, filters ect. would be amazing! Otherwise absolutely love the app

Decent app... But.... The app itself is easy to use. Takes a while to set up, but ease of use is okay. The issues I have with the app are as follows: 1. Why does it need sooooo much information about the vehicle? (Never had to input a VIN# into any other ODB scanner) 2. App updates - if you want an app that you have to update every 3 days, then this is the app for you. Can’t they package multiple updates into a monthly cycle? 3. You have to setup every vehicle you want to run it on separately. I give 2 stars, as the app did identify a bad fuel injector, but it would have taken me less time to drive to the shop than to setup the app for my vehicle.

FIXD FOR THE WIN!. So far using FIXD has been an absolutely pleasurable experience! I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be confident in issues that come with in their vehicles to have the info you need to make sure you don’t go to a mechanic and get ripped off being told you need repairs that aren’t even accurate or necessary. Very cool and cheap investment for something that could save you hundreds of dollars in false repairs as well as give you piece of mind knowing what’s going on with your vehicle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Could Be Way Better. Just received my Fixd device and ran the app. My thoughts... 1) After I finally got to register and connected the app to the device, NO LESS THAN *3* POPUP ADS WERE DISPLAYED while it was scanning. That’s just incredibly annoying! For a device that costs $60, I don’t expect any ads. And I certainly don’t expect an upsell when you haven’t even provided the service I paid for yet! So my attention and time was wasted by the distraction and delay of these ads. For something that should have been fixed in a few seconds. Needless to say, this really turned me off on this product. I hate the hard sell and will not buy anything. You lost me as a customer for your upsell for parts and mechanics. 2) I don’t see why we need to register either. It just wastes more of our time and doesn’t benefit us. If we see value in your product, we would register with you organically. 3) Instructions and packaging for the device could be better but this review is for the app. I give it 2 stars because it did manage to turn off my engine light and that’s why I bought the device.

A must have in my opinion.. Even if you a bit about cars or nothing at all or even a lot. I think this device & the app is a perfect way for anyone and everyone to keep track of pretty much anything that has to do with there vehicles. They have a maintenance timeline for folks that don’t know too much about the mechanics of cars and just want a car to keep doing what it does. Drive! Long story short I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to keep there car in good and safe shape.

Over time this app continues to disappoint.. I purchased 5 scanners when FIXD originally released their OBD2 scanners and app. With each app update they become more an odd more useless. It has gotten to the point where I can’t even connect to any of my vehicles. It connects to the sensor and just sits on scanning for several minutes. It then wants me to add a new VIN. Have tried several times to remove all scanners and start from scratch. Have tried reinstalling the app. Have tried in several vehicles. But at least I get ads for their ridiculous monthly subscription every time I open the app or try to scan. Do yourself a favor and buy a different scanner, their are many available for much cheaper.

Want to like it but can not.. I bought the reader for 60$ in hopes that it would tell me why my airbag light was on. This said my car was fine and did not detect any lights on my dash. There is also a huge flaw in the app and that is trying to make you purchase even more services. You already pay $60 dollars for the equipment the last thing people want is to spend more on extra software that constantly bombards the important parts of the app. The app set up is very cluttered and does not feel to organized. If I had known it was set up this way I would not have purchased and instead purchased a regular diagnostic tool that doesn’t try to make you purchase more.

Great app. It’s a great app to help you keep up with maintenance and when your check engine like goes on it’ll give you the problem. The only problems I have with it is that the mileage keeps going up on one of the cars that I have the adapter too but that cars is stationary and I haven’t moved it in a week but somehow the mileage keeps going up on the app even through no mileage has gone up on the car. I haven’t seen any other bugs like that but I will be sure to message the developers. Other than that I love it. It’s easy to use as well!!

Stopped working. I got one of these and haven’t used it for a couple years so I just plugged it into my 2011 Ford Ranger truck and it wants my email address and password so I put in the info and won’t login and the only think it will do is lead me into the Fix page and wants me to buy another one and I paid around $50 for this one a couple years ago and only used it one time. I did the update for the fix program before I plugged the fix module into my truck and now it’s not working.

BUYER BEWARE. I have had two FIXD sensors for multiple years. Until an App upgrade this summer it was always possible to run scans on either sensor/car by selecting in the App which sensor/car I wanted to test. This summer’s upgrade now hangs up if multiple sensors are within range - like two cars parked in the garage. After dealing with customer service, their solution is to remove one of the sensors. If you thick about where the port is in your car, this is highly inconvenient. Don’t fall victim to FIXD’s marketing push to get multiple sensors for multiple cars - they apparently have decided not to support that capability. BUYER BEWARE!

THIS FORD FOCUS HAS NO GAS CAP. Wondered why FIXD did not know this. I assumed that it should know Ford must have a self sealing system. Otherwise all recent Ford products would not pass the those tests. Would appreciate a response to my email. By the way, have been running at idol for approx 15 minutes and the engine light has not come back on. Is it possible that it thinks the engine needs an oil/filter change? I doubt we have gone the required mileage. Appreciate and look forward to a response.

Premium is way over priced. The initial setup wasn’t too bad, although the manual process of entering the device ID is unnecessary. Once I plug it in then the FIXD app should automatically see it and walk me through the rest of the setup. The app user interface is decent, but a bit dated and has some UX missteps in it. Rating that part alone for the $60 cost of the device I would say 4 stars. But the real disappointment here is $7.99/month subscription for premium. Are you kidding me?! I’m paying for access to a mechanic, but what if I don’t want that, but want the other stuff in premium? You’re making money on the referrals to mechanics too. Need to rethink your pricing model. Had to doc 2 stars for that unfortunately.

Forget it if u have older phone. I did give five stars in the beginning. Now one...It worked on my iPhone 5. Yes you read correctly. Working fine over a couple of years. I spent $54 on this scanner. I was able to diagnose and fix the problem, no problem. Because of upgrades and making it better, it no longer works. OS 12.0 or better to make this app work. Really... I have apps that work on older versions. IT CAN BE DONE! You the company can do this. I have found this company not willing and now I have a scanner that doesn't work. Frustrated, disappointed Shame on you for not being customer oriented. The almighty dollar is what's driving the sale. Hindsight, I would have NOT purchased this unit.

Totally worthless and rather buggy to say the least!. I purchased two fixd devices and attempted to install. The first car that I installed in on indicated that there were not enough numbers/letters in the data that I input. I double checked the data and it was correct as it was taken directly from my vehicle’s information plate. It would not compete the installation and indicated that I needed contact their support department. The second car that I attempted to install it on indicated that the voltage to the sensor was too low and would not install and indicated that I needed to contact their support department the following Monday since they were closed on weekends.

Awesome application. I must say this app has done right by me. Having this scanner I feel as though I am a step ahead. Going to the mechanic and already knowing the issues with my vehicle is a step in the right direction to maintaining a safe and sufficient car. I recommend this product to all my friends and family and coworkers. Believe me I already have folks that I have told me they purchased the product and are very impressed!

Awesome device; Awesome Customer Service. 80 year-old Mom bought us each a device for our cars, but she does not have a smart phone, she has an iPad. I called today and spoke with Anna S. in Customer Service and she walked me through process and we got it connected. Anna explained how to connect it all and did a great job doing so, including answering questions from my Mom and showed a lot of patience!!! Great job Anna! Thanks for helping us!😊😊😊 Cathie and Marlene W.

This thing has saved my sanity more than I can count. Out of all the apps that I have ever download This fixed app is the best thing that I have ever received. You tell your customers. I have a band and I carry equipment in my van and when I have problems with the engine this is the app that I go to and it has never failed If you wanna do a diagnosis on your engine in a hurry And you want to carry the information you need on your phone, you can’t find anything better than this this app thing is awesome. And will save you hours of headache and pain in finding out what’s wrong with your vehicle it has never ever ever ever failed me. It is truly the best. Whoever doesn’t have this app needs to get it yesterday thank you. Larry Neely The Larry Neely band

It used to work.. what happened?. I didn’t find out a subscription was required to take advantage of all the features until after I had bought the unit. After a month or so I went and purchased the subscription. Despite it constantly dropping and reconnecting to my phones Bluetooth, I found it to be useful and worth the $8.99 a month. The last iOS update messed up something, however, as now I get an error stating my phone cannot connect to FIXD.... and of course this happened use two days after I paid for another months subscription. So... how about it, developers... what’s the fix for FIXD?

Better options out there. TLDR: free third party apps work with this dongle and give you more functionality on it for free(just search for “car scanner” on App Store) Don’t pay for the membership on the fixd app because the free 3rd party apps have the same emission testing functionality fixd is trying to charge you for. I have been using the fixd dongle for quite a while on my 04 vw beetle. I am very disappointed in the limited functionality of the app. The live gauges cannot read all of the sensors in my car and it connects only to the ecm and I cannot connect to the abs system and tcm. I found out that you can download free apps that work with this device which actually work and read many more sensors and have more functionality like data logging and emissions testing for free! Which by the way FIXD is trying to make you pay 12 bucks a month to gain that functionality( outrageous ) Fixd, you gotta improve your app!

Good App, could use some touching up. For a $20 Bluetooth scanner you can’t go wrong! It’s done everything I need it to do and so far I am impressed. Although the app is functional and does what I need it to do, the interface could use some work. At times it feels slow and buggy, almost like it’s unfinished. Hopefully with time they can modernize their app and make it less clunky. Overall a great product and would highly recommend it to anyone interested!

Built Camaro SS. I have a cammed and built Camaro SS with no cats and anyone who has a car with full exhaust and no cats knows that the check engine light will come on periodically. I originally bought the FIXD engine scanner for my other cars and it works great to see what is going on with any vehicle and is very easy to use! Plus it being wire free is a huge bonus! But in my Camaro I keep it plugged in and use the free Live Guage option on my phone to monitor my air/fuel mixture and fuel pressure. Love it and couldn’t do without it.

Very effective. I’m so glad to have that device for one reason; the dealer put my car four times to the computer to know was wrong with the engine alarm that was showing up for more than two years and they couldn’t find anything. As soon I got my device, as soon as I installed the report came out with some problem that anyone was awarded about it. I know now what’s really is happening with my car before to go to the mechanic.

Makes Me Feel Safe. I’ve had this service for 3 years and I would never go without it. As a single female it is like having a mechanic onboard. I am fully in charge. I run a check anytime I feel like it and the results are instant. It tells me what is going on, what needs to be taken care of, what the repair cost ranges should be and where I can find qualified, certified service. What’s not to like. I’m a customer for life.

Exceptional support. Just from what I see in the reviews I can tell that this product is definitely one to try this year for gift giving. I am very pleased with the response the developers have been giving back to those who have experienced issues with the product and I can't wait to try it. KUDOS! I've been waiting most of my life for something like this to come out, thank you!
