Is this for real?
Eh. Sorry, but big miss on this one. As a fan of the store and some of their books I had assumed it might be a good addition to my iPad cooking arsenal. It is not. A handful of recipes, most of which you would most likely not even use. Then two bucks a month for a daily new recipe? Not so helpful. When I want a recipe I want a good selection to choose from. Visually it's different, which is interesting but confusing as well. Unfortunately the layout also means that only one in six recipes or so have photos. Overall this app shows me nothing to convey a level of value which would persuade me to purchase a subscription. While the recipes may not need reworking, the marketing team probably does.
I find this cooking application to be really useful. There are so many different styles of cooking out here that I know that within any week there will some that I'll want to try. And, admittedly some that I'll pass on. I love the overall range of foods that they cover.
Great for the avid cooker... The recipes do not require too many ingredients and not much time. I've made about 10 recipes so far ranging from 30-45 min in time. The shopping list feature is wonderful. I take it to the store on Mondays (when the recipes are updated) and get everything for the week. It's a great way to open your eyes to ingredients you might otherwise pass up. Also, a lot of the recipes are healthy.
Actually, not bad, but there is something to strive for.
I think this app is excellent! I enjoy getting a new set of recipes each week, and the recipes are complete and concise. Several recipes include pictures. Plenty of diversity :)
I do believe this has some great potential. I've always loved WS recipes and they have always had successful results. Even though I'm an excellent cook and I know what I'm doing, I like pictures. I would up the star count if you had a picture for each recipe. Come'on guys get the photo on board!
I have a few Culinate, Inc. apps -- good apps! I also have at least four recipe apps that require a subscription and I've had them for years so I have no problem with that aspect (of this app) but I'm waiting for the "photo" update. When EVERY recipe has a beautifully photographed picture of the dish, I'll gladly subscribe. By the way, Culinate, a few videos wouldn't hurt either!:-)
It was clear this was a pay app from the description. I paid my $12 but have not received any recipes. It's been several weeks at this point.
Big Williams Sonoma fan and looking forward to this app.
