Love the app. Many books and very versatile. You can read, listen and there is also night mode. When you listening to the book, you can set time to close. Love it.

Good but doesn’t work well on kindle as previous.. Doesn’t work well on kindle and requires a long time to load, sometimes it cannot load the content well.

Graceful reading experience, but with annoying crashes. On my iPad it sometimes crashes seconds after launch, crashes again after restarting the app, and starts to work normally on the third attempt. Don’t know if it’s an iOS 12 compatibility issue.

Glitches: Errors displayed while on flight. I have an annual membership. I downloaded all the books on shelf at home. Then on the flight without any Carrier or Wi-Fi signal, the application did now allow me to read any. Hopefully they can fix those kinds of glitches.

Nothing could replace this app so far. Love it’s great number of book available and always has free reading days. I found so many smart, wise and rational people comment from its social function.

Preeminent app, fantastic reading vibes. The product managers have done a magnificent job. To me, the only missing part is the e-ink device compatibility, even thou it has a dark theme. After a long day, I wish a kindle experience before bed instead of screens. Tencent product/program/project managers, If your are reading reviews, please include kindle readers, compete with goodreads!

Amazing app. For books: I’ve been using this app ever since I have to self-quarantine at home. It saves me from daily boredom and I start to love reading again! For the design of this app: - variety: you can access to a tremendous amount of books that are written in Chinese, or translated from other languages into Chinese. For those translated books, you can even find at least 2-3 versions from various publishers. - convenience: you can choose to read the books whenever you like, or if you prefer to listen, you can do audio books. - cheap!! It rewards readers by giving free day passes! Who doesn’t love this?

Suggestions for improvements. Hey team, thanks for building out this great app. I have a few suggestions: 1. Can reading offline be counted in my weekly reading time? 2. Sometimes highlighting/adding comments when I’m reading in offline mode causes the app to crash. Any fixes for these?

Account management needs improvement. The app is ok as an ebook reader. Its book store is good, with a huge collection of books. It is nice to offer a bunch of promotions and competitions to get free books or one-day-free pass, which is appealing. However, its bookshelf often categorizes the books in a wrong way. Some purchased books were put into unpurchased category. I don’t know whether it has been put in the wrong database or it is just a display mistake. I have the feeling that it overcharged my one-day passes when I read those titles.

Limited time. It is a crook. After the end of previous day’s listening, the very next morning can only start a few minutes before it says the day limit has reached.

Nice app for reading. Though I have heard it years ago, I start to use it recently, it's very good, it makes me love to take notes during reading books, and I can make excerpt for sharing. I love it now, and I hope it can embody more books.

Best app for reading Chinese books. For a long time I couldn’t find a reading app in Chinese that allows me to make notes and export highlights like Kindle, and Wechat Read does that and more. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the social features don’t overwhelm the essentially solitary experience of reading. I would love it even more if they had more children’s books in their selection.

Great app that motivates me to read more. This app has clean and simple design so that it is easy to use. It also has the many books that I am interested. I like using this app very much!

Offline does not work. I have tried offline feature for purchases books and audio book. However it does not work most of the time. I tried toggling offline on and off several times. Maybe 5 percent of the time it would then download the next one or two episodes. Other times, no download for offline occurs.

Best App for Chinese Books. Extremely massive library including almost all the Chinese books you could possibily think of, fiction, non-fiction, and graohic novel for about $30 a year. You could even read everything for free by earning free daily passes.

The most frequently used app in my phone. Strongly recommend it, read a book daily using this app is a habit for me now, I really enjoy using it.

Best reading app. Great app! Allow readers to comment and share opinions, best reading app ever! It would be better if the font can be bigger. Even When I use the largest font, it still looks small.

Should display reading progress percentage on book icon. Overall good app, one suggestion, the reading progress should display on the icon it will be very useful feature.

Ridiculously censored books!. I’ve been using it for long time and had enjoyed reading and listening while driving. But with the latest few updates, books had gone through heavy censorship. Characters are replaced by *s for some ridiculous reasons. For example, in Frank Kafka’s Castle(Chinese version), one sentence was read like the following “眼睛眉**刻不停地看着发生的一切”. It’s easy for Chinese people to understand what’s going on. The first character marked by * is “毛”, together with the character ahead it, “眉毛” means eyebrows and the second is “片”，together with the next character ”片刻” means moment．This should be the way and the only way to read it. However if a dumb people just falls in love only with these two censored characters, their meaning is adult video. To eliminate such a ridiculous possibility they have to be sacrificed. I’m not sure if this is violation of copyright but definitely a shame to Tecent.

Please develop Apple Watch app too. The app is great, I especially like to listen to books when I’m driving or walking, looking forward to use it on Apple Watch too. Do you have a plan?

Best book reading app ever!. This is THE best book reading app ever I have been searching for! Really hope Tencent can continue Polish this app! Now I am using it every single day. Many book selections and wonderful WeChat sharing feature. I just wish I can find more books on it! Great job!

Very good book app. One note for developers: when I listen to the books, when I re-open the app to resume listening, sometimes it will regress to an old position in the book but not the previously stopped position! I always have to click to read first then click to listen to make sure the reading will pick up at the right place to resume!

Okay. It’s pretty solid as far as having needed books goes, but it’d be better if there were more titles in both languages

No service at all!. I have been following at least 3 books in the past year with the free cards. One day, for no reason, a message showed up saying that I have to pay in order to continue reading those books, and this is when I still have more than 300 free reading cards. Couldn’t reach any customer service person that would care to respond to my issue. I would definitely not pay for the membership as you never know when you will suddenly encounter some issues but no one can provide any support.

VXreads is awesome!. I love reading books. Originally, I brought books from stores and do the readings when I have time free, which burdened my backpack everyday. After using these App, I’m growing my interests on reading and enjoying more on digital books. There are many activities on this App to get free reading days and are very interesting. Best reading app on the market. For a reading app associated with a social media network, it’s understandable that it has a lot of social media features and ads. I didn’t find this particularly annoying since you can turn off most of the notifications and the article recommendations. The reading features though, are so incredibly well designed. My biggest praise is for the endnotes feature. Every other reading app I’ve used has all the endnotes at the end of the chapter or the book like a physical book; however, it is not easy to flip through all the pages to the end of the chapters and back in an ebook as compared to a physical one. This app allows users to tap on the in-text references and directly read the endnotes in a pop up window. Absolutely love this feature. This app also has a great selection of books and even some English books as well. Highly recommended for Chinese readers.

Good book reader. It’s a very good book reader. There are lots of good books. And there are many gift coupons given to readers, such as 10 dollars reading bill every week, free membership etc.

Great reading app. This is the best reading app I have ever used. It is attached with WeChat so we could see other friends’ readings and share our point of views. An app owned by vampires. When I realised YUEWEN is stealing from writers by modern salvage contracts, I decided to delete this app cause I don’t want to be part of it. It’s 2020 now, can you imagine authors are not entitled to their writings’ copyright until 50 years after their death! They are just contractors who are not even eligible for protections under the Labour Law according the contract! They are only entitled to a commission of 50% net profit from the ads revenue, which would deduct all the ‘costs’ first. Shame on you.

Crashing every few seconds on iPhone 14, iOS 16.4. Probably should not update to 16.4? Just got my new iPhone 14, was working perfectly on my old iPhone 11, but now on iPhone 14, it’s crashing every few seconds when you reading a book, either by text or by audio reading. so it’s getting impossible to use the app. Please fix this bug on 16.4 asap? BEST APP EVER. It's a great reading app but once I logged out, I could never logged in back into my account.. Recently I submitted my complaints about the bugs in the app and I tried log out and tried to logged in back into my account again but even thought everything is correct, it's just showed log in failed without any reason. They don't fixed the problem and reply to my complaints.

我希望微信读书可以有个随意发帖的功能. 微信读书是很好的一个读书app，对于看不到纸质书的人来说这是一个很好的地方。我也经常用 微信读书有小圈子，你可以加进去，发帖子，但随着时间的推进你的帖子就被淹没了。 我希望可以新增一个功能：你一点就可以发帖子，不需要专门加入什么圈子。比如说，你想分享一下哪位学者、有用的综艺，这些可能跟那些圈子都无关，所以如果能有个广大的交流区就好了。

客服奇差 worst service ever. 付了连续会员付了三次，不但钱不退，会员资格也没有，咨询客服两周了都没回复，这么不负责任是第一次遇到 Paid for unlimited membership for three times at the same day by mistake, but I did not get a refund nor the membership. I have asked the customer service while I got no response at all during the past TWO WEEKS!!! That’s how Tencent works, huh? Never spit money out?
