Terrible customer service and surprise billing. I have been a Sling customer for a couple of years and was happy about the service until about half a year ago. I only subscribe to their world sport package so I can watch soccer games on BeinSports. About four months ago, I lost access to my subscribed channels despite I still have 6 month left on my subscription. I contacted Sling numerous times for this issue. All their agents acknowledged the issue but none of them was able to fix it. And every time when I contact them, they ask me to log out log in numerous times and on all my devices. It was a gigantic waste of time! Last week finally someone realized there was an error in their system and finally fixed it. Now I have access to BeinSports again but I’ve already lost 4 month. They refuse to do everything about the lost time, of course! Three days later I found on my credit bill that they actually charged me an extra amount for a new subscription. Not sure if anyone can find a worse service than Sling!

Fraud. I had bought a package. Channels are not working. Some Channels have a permanent display that it will be released to the device soon. Others just go blank. I called the Customer Service on day one and was told that their team is looking into it and someone will call back. No one reached out for a couple of days and I contacted again. Next time they mentioned that a tech ticket was opened. The fourth time the customer service was not sure when the ticket was submitted. When I talked to the manager, I was told that it is a modern day streaming service and if you are not able to watch it then its your problem. I paid for a service then I should either get the product OR be provided and ETA for rectification OR extend the service for that time frame OR reimburse my money. The manager was rude and simply said they can do anything. Today after days of calling the service is still not there. I have cancelled it. I have never had this kind of an experience in United States. Sheer Fraud & cheating.

UX and Ads are a nightmare. The app itself on our TV is the most irritating to navigate, slow, unintuitive and clunky. The ads are even worse. It’s not cheap enough for me to excuse the ads. We pay enough that the ads should be least intrusive as possible, however it’s the opposite. The stupid “iBotta” ad for example is glitching out and plays on repeat endlessly. What the duck. That causes my “on demand” to freeze and quit. Then...I have to navigate all the way back—start the show over—watch an ad before I can even fast forward to where it stopped—watch more ads—iBotta comes on and freezes—start process over. SO FRUSTRATING. Use all that ad money and hire people to fix your junk. (Currently watching the iBotta ad on loop with the spinning ball of death...) oh, and it just quit. Back to click through and find my show again, watch an ad and fast forward to finish 7mins of a show. YOU ARE WASTING PEOPLES PRECIOUS BREATH AND MAKING WHAT SHOULD BE RELAXING—a blood boiling experience. I don’t need Michael Phelps to tell me about mental health if Sling could just get current with basic technology.

So disappointed. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement, especially after paying for a subscription!! There were shows that I wanted to watch that I was able to through other apps, but not all episodes...so I thought ok, based off of other reviews and other family/friends experiences, what the heck....the APP STINKS!!! or the subscription, I don’t know! The amount of times that I spend, shutting down, all apps, my phone, the TV, etc (and yes, not that it matters but, I do have a new iPhone 11Pro Max...) it connects MAYBE 25% of the time and even then it doesn’t always stay connected, if I have to pause the show to (ya know, have a life for a moment) and hit resume, IT RESTARTS THE SHOW!!! Then, when I try and skip ahead back to where I was, it freezes, and says, oops, UNABLE TO CONNECT, AGAIN!!!! I spend more time trying to connect and get back to my show than I do actually get to enjoy watching my show (and I’m talking 60 min long shows) I don’t think I’ll be paying for another month. It’s not worth the hassle, great idea, but I’m so beyond disappointed and frustrated that it’s not worth my time or my money (PLUS, even after paying, I still have to watch commercials...so why?!?! What’s the point?! There isn’t!!) Nice try, but, bye-bye Sling...you’ve let me down and I would NOT recommend to ANYONE!

Download failures & crashes. I’ve used this app for years. It’s good when it’s working right but it does crash on multiple occasions since I’ve had it throughout the years. You can be watching something then all of a sudden it takes you back to the selection of options to choose from again or you’ll have to restart the app. Lately I haven’t been able to watch on my fire stick for a couple of weeks now. I restarted & cleared cache multiple times, restarted app & firestick multiple times and uninstalled. I’ve been trying to reinstall for a couple weeks now and it gives me a download failure error. So now I can’t even use the app. It works on my phone but not my tv where I prefer to watch it. All other apps work fine on the firestick so idk why this is the only app that isn’t. However I pay too much money monthly to have these issues.

Terrible. This service is terrible. It's saving grace is that it's the only major streaming service I've found that doesn't have ESPN and thus is affordable (I don't need ESPN). If you're looking for a package with ESPN, there is absolutely no reason you should be using sling TV. IF you can get the app to load a program you're trying to watch, it very often will not load it to a Chromecast. Just a spinning orange loading screen. It's impossible to watch a program on demand as the app is guaranteed to crash at sometime in the program everytime. What make this worse is neither of the "resume watching" or fast forward function have ever worked, so your only option is to start the program over from the beginning. Incredibly frustrating. I had this app for several months but couldn't stand wasting my money anymore and cancelled as I couldn't believe that they'd done nothing to fix the multitude of problems that this thing has. Save yourself the frustration and go with literally any other streaming service.

Cable my whole life, a great switch!. I really love Sling. I hated cable because I didn’t get the shows I wanted without paying more money. I don’t want sports so I can select not having that package and costing more when basic cable packages usually included a majority sports. I love being able to have my reality tv shows for only $5 more a month. That’s well worth it when cable was $20+ for nearly not as many channels. I also like I can stop and start this subscription easier than cable. I’m in my 20s and have months where I’m barely at home or I’m at home constantly. Being able to start and stop without hassle is the best. I also like being able to watch all my shows in one place instead of jumping from app to app like cable companies often require. One thing I would like to see is a more refined search, kind of like categories on Netflix. The On Demand section, but with a little more defined categories that show ALL the available on demand movies or shows, not in the categories Sling creates.

Great offerings but poor UX and UI. The levels of channels, packages and device options at such a reasonable price makes SlingTV the service wonderful. However, it’s application solutions on every device (smartphone, Apple TV, web) hav such difficult and poorly performing user experience as to make it laborious to even want to use. The channel selection, the navigation, the program guide, and even the program options are just poorly thought out and weak. You can select favorite channels, but Sling app will never return to this custom list upon each app launch...you have to manually select it again as your guide preferences on each visit. Filters often don’t fully deliver their selection...I can choose Movies and be shown three movies, but select all channels and you’ll see 7 or 8 movies are available. There are no last channel options or channel range selection. The use of pull down or drag up dialog windows (like program info) is often hit-or-miss in working...it can take several swipes to get the intended action to occur. Again, great streaming service is countered by such a poor user experience and interface as to make you seek alternatives.

A couple of things…. Well I have to commend you all at the recent improvements. Much appreciated. Better functionality overall. Would like to see a timestamp on all future recordings. Sometimes it is difficult to know when the will air or has aired. Currently if I stumble across a movie that I would like to record from the beginning I can’t search in the future to fine an opportunity in the future. It only lets you find and record what’s currently airing. If it’s already started or halfway through there’s nothing you can do other than search the old fashion way scanning day after day until you find it running again. Please fix this. It’s very frustrating. Also would love to be able to change the channels on my tv using the sling app on my iPad. Or start watching on my iPad and easily switch to the tv via the sling app. Please put the station the show is airing on in the caption.

The fail to have a fundamental feature. I left the directtvnow app and tried this for the month. I would have saved $25 a month having this, but my family didn’t let me keep it. At first it was just the complaining of my children, and I could really care less about their opinions about the app. When me and the wife sat down to get out Sling, the first thing she noticed was the LACK OF AUTO PLAY. That was her one and only deal breaker. We both binge shows because 3 kids and full time jobs take up most of our time, as it should. When we are home together and want to watch Below Deck, we don’t want to get up and go into the menu every single time an episode ends. I couldn’t believe this app was incapable of integrating a feature that every other video streaming service has. I googled, Reddit, went through Sling Help section and I found nothing except complaint about them not having this feature from a lot of customers. Had to cancel and go back to the old directtvnow (now at&tnow). Until that feature is introduced, I will wait over at at&t and keep the family happy.

A bug in the IPad ap. My Airtv failed which I presumed was the result of a power surge after lightning occurred in my area. I ordered an Airtv2. It has the same problem. I had installed a new router after the lightning so I assumed it was the router. I swapped routers back to an old one. I was able to ping the Airtv with both the old and new router. My conclusion is the software has a bug. I used both an iPad version and the iPhone version and the Sling software doesn’t seem to be able to seethe Airtv2 box. I have confirmed that there is an Ethernet connection, I see inside the router that an Ip address was assigned, and I can ping it. Whats left is the sling software. Technical help was useless. The person walked me through the normal stuff like reset etc. Then told me they could not help me. Oh, and it looks like the Mac address on the label is also mismatched to what the router shows. Slightly diferent. UPDATE: After mindlessly hitting the “try Again” button the app finally linked to the Airtv2. It took maybe 5 mindless trys.

Cut the cord with sling saving $100 a month. I have sling blue for $25 a month it allows 3 screens simultaneously and is not ip linked(you can stream away from home). I recently convinced my parents to ditch cable and sling is a great substitute for us. The only downside is it lags when streamed via chromecast (I have a gen 1 chromecast so that could be why) otherwise playback via iPhones/iPads is great as well as on the Xbox one s my family’s main media hub. I would like there to be a way to continuously stream episodes but I get that they are trying to not strain their servers with unattended streams (It would be nice for this to be fixed but it likely isn’t going to happen). I’m happy with this service DISH is definitely on the right track with sling hopefully it remains as affordable as it is now! I am trying to get my family and friends to use streaming services like this to gut their cable bill with sling and a OTA antenna you can easily save $1,200-1,800 a year put that money to good use elsewhere.

Great potential, horrible results.. The concept of sling is great. An app that allows you to watch your favorite shows live and on demand, where ever and when ever, without all the equipment, hidden fees and insane contracts that regular cable a satellite providers are know for. It's a great concept, if sling was able to deliver. They don't though. There's still many channels that sling doesn't offer, like spike and TLC. They also don't offer the big channels like CBS,NBC, ABC, Fox, etc. The on demand shows rarely work, the app usually crashes. Often times it will crash in the middle or towards the end of a show, and the only way to ever see the end is to restart it from the beginning and pray you make it to the end before it crashes again. There are symbols that you'd assume were fast forward/rewind/pause buttons, but they don't do anything when you press them. Sometimes the pause button works, but the app crashes when you try to resume. So if the app crashes 5 minutes before the end of your show, you can either restart it from the beginning, or move on with your life and never see the ending. Take my advice, spend the extra money and go with a provider like dish or direct TV. Sling may be cheaper, but it's not worth $20-$40 a month considering it barely works. Spend the extra money of a different tv provider, at least their products and services function properly and you get all the channels you want and not just a few.

Very glitchy, unreliable, lots of ads. We recently downloaded sling as an alternative to cable. I am a big fan of watching shows on demand and I am initially disappointed by the lack of episodes available for the shows. It looks like there’s a lot to offer by seeing the shows, but once you see the amount of episodes we kind of felt a little put off. Additionally, the shows are constantly buffering, constant ads throughout, and when there are ads, the episodes skip through so a 20 min show is really like 10 minutes of the actual show and another 10 of ads. If I try to rewind it to see the parts it skips over, it makes me watch more ads and will crash. It doesn’t cast well to the tv and we have the app installed in our other television and it is a little bit less glitchy when watching “live” tv, but the on demand is still not that great. Additionally, we cannot watch live football even though it says we are supposed to. Going to have to look into other services, this has been pretty disappointing because it just looks so so promising and good on paper.

Zero customer service. I had sling for a month and a half. The first two weeks it was great then it started being glitchy. One day it completely stopped functioning, the little thinking wheel just kept turning and nothing was happening. I tried everything I reset my device, my internet, rest my account downloaded the app three more times , etc etc. I called customer service they told me to do everything I’ve already done which was fine, then they tell me there must be an update on the app that they need to look into so they have to escalate the matter to the engineering department. I said ok sure thinking it will be fixed maybe later in the day or next day. I called again after 3 days still same answer. A week later I’m getting frustrated because there is no follow up on their end and the app still doesn’t work. I call to cancel and was hoping like any other professional and ethical company that cares about their customers and customer satisfaction they would compensate me but they said the couldn’t unfortunately but can remove any new charges to my account. I was appalled!!! How can you ask a customer to pay for a service that isn’t working? It wasn’t about the money it was more about the principle. Oh and that was me talking to the manager who apparently has no authority to do anything. Unprofessional and extremely disappointing!!! Will never use them ever again.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Your on demand programs crash and won’t cast to the TV, and in spite of several attempts via customer service to escalate the matter to get them resolved, after nearly a month, nothing has been resolved - even with proper error codes provided. To make matters worse, your customer service department says that you don’t credit back for the services you have failed to provide. This is INCREDIBLY unethical when a customer signs up in good faith to get a service and the provider fails to correct a problem, then adds insult to injury by saying they can’t credit back anything! The worst part of all is that I paid for your service unawares for 3 YEARS and never once used it until I researched charges on my bank account, and in good faith decided to try it out anyways - without complaint - and even upgraded the service to add STARZ and it doesn’t even stream on-demand without error codes and crashes (I never have gotten to watch a single on-demand show to it’s end). On-demand is the only reason I want this service to begin with, and your company simply can’t provide it- as is evidenced by bad review after bad review on Apple’s App Store! Your so-called customer service reps keep saying “sorry, but there are no refunds” and nothing ever gets fixed. What kind of business are you running there? This is outrageous!

Great Service!. So far, my family and I are really enjoying this service. In my line of work, there can be times where there is absolutely no work and so I have the time to watch a show or two. While there are a few glitches while watching, I hardly ever come across these issues. For what it is as a whole, I couldn’t be happier with this service. I know there are a bunch of negative reviews, but honestly I think there might be something wrong on their end of the spectrum. As with any company there is always room for improvement on quality. Besides the rare glitch that I have noticed, I have no issue with this service as I have had with certain cable companies that charge the hell out of their customers. We don’t even have upgrade channels and still paying almost $200 a month. Keep up the good work Sling.

Sling TV Services. I use SlingTv with my smart tv and I must say that this has been a horrible experience. I attempted to call the customer service number for troubleshooting and the service professionals were extremely dismissive about the glitches that I detailed. When watching any program that has commercials, be prepared to be interrupted with 2 minute buffer and blackout periods. This is such an inconvenience as it subtracts from being able to have a seamless viewing experience. By the time that the program returns from the blackout/commercial break I’m completely exhausted and lost about what I was watching and where I left off. I would be far more satisfied if Sling would fix this issue. If I must be subjected to commercials, they should play from beginning to end without stopping and starting then blacking out for two minutes before returning to the program. It’s exhausting and often times I’ve fallen asleep simply because the tv blacked out for so long! It’s very frustrating and the sling representatives were unhelpful and unwilling to offer any sort of compensation for this issue even though I’d only had the service for 2 days. I feel like I’ve been ripped off and I will not stop until my voice is heard!

Great!. I enjoy watching ESPN, CNN, HGTV, and a few other channels of Sling TV. Although there is limited number of channels with either the (basic) Orange package or Blue Package and given me lack of time to watch a lot of channels, this $35 a month value is well worth it. You can also bounce back and forth at any time of the month between the Blue Package (NFL network, USA, Fox Sports 1, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, USA, HGTV but not have ESPN/Disney channel) and the Orange Package (ESPN 1/2/3, HGTV, CNN, Disney, but not have NFL network, USA, MSNBC, Fox News, and Fox Sports 1 channels). The other downside is you have to rely on internet connection. I do not experience too much “buffer” issues due to internet issues. You can also add-on channels to your basic package like for children, sports, Cantonese, Spanish, Christian channels, comedy, and so on starting at $3/mo to like $15/mo. I highly recommend this cable streaming app and it is tremendously an impressive alternative to paying hefty cable/satellite bills like over $100/mo from Comcast or Direct TV. I think there is a 3 day free trial for Sling tv, which I did try out.

New Changes Less User Friendly. I have subscribed to Sling off and on for the last 5 years and though I like the service generally I hate the new interface! The greatest advantage to Sling over it’s competitors apps was that you could search the guide at the bottom of the screen while watching something without disrupting the continuity of what you are watching. The new interface, however, makes this very difficult. It takes forever to scroll through the grid guide because of ‘visual enhancements’ to schedule data and now half the screen is filled with visual content (on Apple TV) that is redundant and unnecessary. Please return to your standard TV Guide-style grid and get rid of all this extraneous content. Also, make it easier to switch back to the last channel you watched. And, keep the guide preference (All, Favorites, Movies, Sports, etc.) locked until manually changed by the user. I am constantly having to move between screens now just to see what else is on. And, sometimes I lose streaming while trying to check to guide (which never happened with your easier, more stream-lined and more user-friendly older app). Change is NOT always better! And, if something is NOT BROKEN, DON’T ‘FIX’ IT! You had the best streaming app for user-friendliness and accessibility and you screwed it all up!

Update Failed. I love the concept of the app and didn’t mind the minor issues. This recent update stopped the revolving favorites list, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, this update has made this app almost useless. It’s continually glitching up. In the shows with limited functionality you could generally go back if it skipped over something, no longer. It stops playing video, but continues playing sound and the app must be closed to sink them. I thought perhaps it was the channels I was watching. So today two hours ago I tried to finish 17 minutes of one show on a less stable channel, watch a 23 minute show on a fairly stable channel, and watch a 45 minute show on a very stable channel. As of now I managed to finish with difficulty the first show, not get past the preview to the second show, and some where between 15 and 20 into the third show. It glitched up again, so I decided to review the app. If this is not fixed soon, I will likely have to cancel my subscription. I did give it three stars because until two days ago, it was a pretty good app.

Great service, okay app. I really enjoy using Sling in lieu of cable to watch live and recent TV, but doing so on the iPhone can be annoying at times. For one thing, the menus are confusing: Suppose I want to watch CNN live. Should I look under “My TV,” “On Now,” “Guide,” or “Channels”? The interface doesn’t make it easy to watch the channels I view most often. It also cuts out at breaks between live shows, forcing me to refresh the app to watch the next program. On some channels, that maybe makes sense, but on news networks program boundaries aren’t supposed to be so disruptive. One of my biggest gripes though is that the audio doesn’t pause when I receive or accept phone calls. Every self-respecting audio or video app silences playback during phone calls, but Sling keeps the show blaring in the background as you try to talk to the person on the other end. I like my Sling subscription but I really hope they make some improvements to the app.

Worst customer service ever!. I do not have a problem with the product itself, it is a decent product. But after being sold devices that I did not need this is when things went terribly wrong! Over a 3 day period, at least 10 phone calls, and several hours of my time I continually explained that I was sold devices I didn’t need and could not perform the functions I was told they could. I was repeatedly given the same stock answers has if everyone there was reading from the same script, operators and supervisors alike. There was nothing anyone there could do, there was no customer satisfaction to be had. And if I really wanted to I could send the equipment back at my own cost! They made no attempt to make the situation right or even offer to take a single penny off the bill. Just kept saying there was nothing they could do and that there was nobody in the company who could even give a return. I highly doubt that! These people have no respect for their customers and will out right lie in your face! Buyer beware!

A lot of glitches still, some improvements needed.. Apple TV: After watching a channel for around a minute, the channel stops playing and it brings you back to the main menu. This happens about 75% of the time. [Update: it now happens more frequently than that] It’s really frustrating especially when you click on the channel and walk away to do some cooking and you have to stop to go back and click the button again. Also the scrubbing/rewind/fast forward controls are the most frustrating and erratic thing. You’ll be scrubbing slowly, then all of a sudden it moves over 10 minutes. iPhone app: When using Picture in Picture and you go back to the app to watch in full screen again, sometimes the video disappears entirely, forcing you to close the app and reopen just to be able to watch it again. Improvements wanted: I would like to be able to change the order in which my favorites show up. One of my favorite channels shows up at the very end of the list and I have to slide all the way over in order to click on it. Quicker access would be nice. Another improvement I would like to see is the ability to record from the beginning of the when you started watching . Say you’ve been watching the show since the beginning and you see that yellow bar indicating that you can rewind and you decide you want to hit record it only records from the point you hit the button, instead of when you started watching.

Pretty much flawless. So first of all I just don’t write reviews. But I just had to do it because the app deserves it. It’s really good. Second I was skeptical about the services they provide. I didn’t know much. But once I found out more and signed up for it, it’s what they advertise. It is tv a la carte. I signed up for the Spanish channels and I even get an Argentinian channel I can’t get anywhere else. When it comes the app, it is flawless. It simply never crashes. Regardless of what channel I watch it always comes up without any problems. Once you choose the channel, you have to option to watch the program that’s on form the start, to start it over, or to watch it live. Once you stop watching, you can always come back to the same spot. It saves your programs so you can come back later and pick right up where you left off. You can do that with countless shows. You can also watch from a different source. If I’m watching on my phone, and stop watching, I can watch from the iPad or the Apple TV app and watch it also without any problems. Tv quality is fantastic too. You also don’t have to sing on every single time. I haven’t to sing in or log in since I first logged in months ago. This service along with the apps in the different platforms are simply seamless. It’s really one of the best, if not the best I have on all platforms. It’s literally fantastic. 10/10.

The best tv provider. For me sling tv is the best tv provider because they are both cheep and give you the option the stream active tv shows and movies on demand in app this means that you have a price that compared to other tv providers is very cheep and the ability to easily watch the shows you want even if you forgot to record them or don’t have room to It is more expensive than Netflix or Disney plus and does not reduce the amount of adds but for my use case of getting a few shows only available on television currently on demand for cheep it is the best option Do note that currently this app requires a subscription that to get the Chanel’s you want will still cost around 40$ monthly but compared to the triple digit prices I found elsewhere it’s a great choice

Beware of the time stamp..... I signed up for a free trial, some of the shows played well some would cut off right in the middle of live tv and forget watching “on demand items” you aren’t even able to fast forward without it kicking you off or freezing. And you better make sure you cancel tour free trial at the precise time that it says to cancel or else it will charge you at hat very moment. I cancelled my account 10 minutes too late and while scrambling to figure out who to contact and cancel the chat room representative tells me that she couldn’t couldn’t refund my services because I was presently in streaming mood. 🤔 that makes zero sense. Not an hour later 10 minutes later! And because I was presently streaming something she told me she couldn't cancel it. I figured they would just stop the service right at that second and cut it off the tv...that’s what a cable company would do. That to me made no sense. And for that I would give them a 0 In customer service. They say beware the fine print, in this case beware the time stamp!

FREE TRIALS DO NOT EXIST. I went to the Sling website to try a free trial to see if the quality and quantity of channels they offered. That is when I noticed the lowest subscription was $30 a month. I couldn’t afford that, but went ahead with a free 3 day trial anyways. After two hours I cancelled it to ensure I didn’t forget to cancel and get charged later. Well $60 was taking out of my account two days later. I called Sling and they told me I started a two month membership with a free AirTv Mini. I DID NOT! And there wasn’t even a confirmation email from Sling when I signed up. But I did get a cancellation confirmation. So basically they just let you sign up and don’t even confirm via email that you have signed up, and then tell you that you signed up for something you didn’t. I think I would have realized I was signing up for a membership that is going to ship something to my house. I put in a billing address for my card, but not a shipping address. Worst service and customer service ever. I will happily pay for 3 different streaming apps before I get Sling.

Terrible.. My family uses Sling at home with no problems. The app for XBOX works amazing. However, the iPhone app is GARBAGE. No matter where we are or what kind of connection we have the app crashes constantly across all our devices- tablets, phones, laptops, everything but the XBOX. For every 30 seconds of show you’re able to watch there is at least a minute of buffering. All the buffering and trying to get a better connection absolutely kills our battery percentage. Your typical trouble-shooting measures like reinstalling the app and upgrading your network connection do nothing. I’ve tried downloading and using the apps for the individual channels I like, but Sling doesn’t work with any of them so unlike other cable services I am unable to use those apps as an alternative when the Sling app is down. Also, again unlike the XBOX app, you are unable to skip through commercials and they play the same one over and over and over and over and over. Sling as a cable service is great, however their iPhone app is HORENDOUS.

LIARS. Paid for the orange subscription and it straight up lied about having ESPN, Espn2 and Espn3. They only have ESPN on demand which isn’t the same thing. They don’t have the other sports channels that it advertised either like tbs. Went through the whole list of channels and it’s not there. I signed into my ESPN account to try and watch the nhl playoffs and I connected the accounts and it keeps telling me to re authenticate without telling me where or how to do so. Been spending the last 2 hours searching forums on google to figure out how this crap works. It doesn’t. Sling doesn’t even allow you to talk to an actual human being without jumping through 400 hoops. In conclusion sling is trash and I’m done with it. If someone knows the solution to my problem and it’s simply a matter of me being dumb then please enlighten me, because all I’m trying to do is watch the nhl playoffs and sling keeps screwing me just as bad as the IRS. If anyone can help please let me know what to do if it’s error on my end. Thank you!

Run! Customer Service is a joke!. We’ve had Sling for a couple of years now. It’s alright. Not great - the app tends to be glitchy at times but it’s cheap so you sort of learn to deal with it. But when something does go wrong and you need help their customer service is a joke. They are friendly sure but they simply refuse to help. You may eventually get thru to the correct “department” after chatting to several people who say they can’t help you. Then they try to direct you to another company (a company you’ve already talked to (because you’ve been down this road before) that assured you they don’t have anything to do with it and they don’t know why Sling keeps sending people to them). They offer NO solutions to your problems. Literally. When we got to the end and my service still wasn’t functioning fully, I was told that someone may eventually get to researching the problem if enough other people report the issue but there was no timeframe for a resolution and I’m just to live with partial no-service indefinitely.

$110 in monthly saving from previous provider. I tried sling a little over a year ago and originally didn’t like it because they didn’t have the current sports package they do now. So glad I gave it a second chance I pay $130 less a month then what I was paying with direct tv and have access to game being aired across the country no black outs or bs like that. I had to pay and extra $20 buck a month to get unlimited wireless internet so I guess it really only saves me $110 a moth... haha I don’t pay extra for NFL red zone and have access to the largest archive of tv shows when I want to watch a rerun than any other app or service available. I have a HBO and Netflix subscription but recently realized I Don’t need Netflix and am over game of thrones so I’ll be canceling both after this month. I honestly couldn’t be happier.

Roku App has lots of bugs. I am a subscriber and use my Roku for access. When I’m on the Home Screen and scroll right to view “My Channels” I rarely get to the end of my list before the sw resets and I’m at the start of the list again. And to make it more annoying is the sequence of the list is reordered. So it’s not like I can quickly scroll back to where I was and see what’s remaining. Sling app seems to always crash or close after a few hours. Maybe this is intentional. It’s annoying when I’ve been binging shows. Please add a function to enable the deletion of shows in the “Continue Watching” list. It saves shows that I may tune to for a second but I’m not watching. Not sure how this algorithm works but it needs to pick shows that are tuned in for longer than a minute. Several updates ago, the fast forward and rewind function was changed. I find the current state to be very variable in speed. Not smooth at all. Once a channel is selected everything seem to work ok. If you ignore the app resetting or closing several times a week. Lots of issues but the cost is low so I guess that’s the trade off. I would not pay any more for this product at the current performance level. If the price goes up I will definitely switch to another provider. So for now I will put up with these few bugs.

Good on demand, glitchy app. The idea of sling is great that you can watch on-demand as well as live tv. However, the app is very glitchy. When casting to google chromecast, sometimes the show won’t load, ads will freeze, and pausing never works and if you exit out of the app for too long (to scroll fb or something) the app will glitch. The only things to fix this would be to close and reopen the app. The interface is also very unorganized and “cluttery” in a sense. The search engine needs to be better. I also dont understand why some on-demand episodes won’t let you watch them if they’re coming on live soon even if they already aired. That’s the whole point of on demand. I don’t have any problems with the actual website on pc. I just think their mobile/portable apps need better technical support. Besides all that, I think Sling is a great idea. The glitches are aggravating but they’re not deal breaking and I would rather deal with these glitches than get cable.

VERY Happy. Oh my gosh ...when SlING first came out I wasn’t very happy, I told em an I canceled ...then sometime later they actually sent me an invite to give em a try again & I did an I was impressed😬...now I been back for a while, but didn’t realize I hadn’t updated my review/comment & I feel bad...cuz they have grown WONDERFUL, I have ZERO complaints! for an App they have a good TV an movie selection that changes & rotates, yes there r some commercials but I don’t mind ...SLING is not the big name cable company (thank god🙄), & if ya can afford THEM then more power to ya, I can’t, I love the History Channel an I can access w/ SLING that’s my big happy...also their viewing selection is a nice buffet it’s great for me also an included w/ price is “💯” hours of record time I LOVE IT the whole “30 buck” pkg is perfect for me, disabled, SSI, an all I have to view on is an IPad...it’s GREAT and even better I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS😂 SO Thank You SLING PS I have Apple iPhone an iPad I have ZERO connection problems Apple has Sling app for iPad an that’s shared to my iPhone ..once in awhile the only problems I ever have has been w/ Cox WiFi that I been stuck having to use an that’s been once in awhile I tex em they fix it

False advertising. Sling tv advertises that they have the movie “Malignant” when I couldn’t find it I asked for a refund. An agent told me they could help me with that, then asked why I wanted a refund. When I explained the situation they looked in to it and I was told I needed. To get the “con tv” channel. Sense I wanted to see the movie I decided do that. After spending more money on the con tv channel I sat down to watch the movie only to find out that the movie that played was not the movie advertised. Different actors, different story, they just threw the cover are from “Malignant” on a different movie and falsely advertised ad having it available. When I tried again talking to a sling tv representative I was told they don’t to refunds, and beyond that he said that it’s not there fault that their con tv channel was Mis advertising the movie, and do was sling tv. Now not only did I not get the refund I was lead to believe id get from the first agent but I also spent more money on the channel the told me I’d be able to watch the movie on. Most important though sling tv is false advertising “Malignant.” How many other movie do the advertise falsely? How much money do they get from people because of these false advertisements, and then just say, nope no refunds? How much money is the actual movie “malignant” (and probably other movies) missing out on because of sling tv’s false advertising?

Cheating! Misleading advertisement And bad customer service experience!. They sell fast and sell aggressively but provide no good support compared toother streaming services, i have tried all of them but Sling is the worst. There is t any option to give lower than 1 star here. I like to watch live cricket matches. There was an offer where you can buy Annual Willow tv package for little cheaper. So i bought it. After few days i realized Willow tv was not showing the live match. Instead it was showing some old match highlights. And then i saw bottom message that as per willow tv and sling tv partnership they cannot show the live match. Then, the willow tv on Sling is showing different matches than you take Original Willow Tv subscription from their website. This is misleading. When i contact them to discontinue subscription after 3 days. I asked i can remain subscribed for this month but i dont need Annual package. They said you can not discontinue Annual package. WILLOW TV CHANNEL AND WILLOW TV ON SLING SHOWS DIFFERENT PROGRAMS SO DONT GET ATTRACTED TO CHEAPER PACKAGES, YOU WILL BE STUCKED. Suppose tv streaming company tells you about new offer where you can watch HBO channel for $10 a month. You would buy it and then you realize that HBO channel showing old programs. How would you feel?

On Apple TV 4K. After three full sweeps up and down I might be able to get the info on each channel to load on to a half sized grid, broadband connection. However the app doesn’t buffer the Apple remote swipes well so I’m often 6 hours in the future without knowing. Impossible to go straight up or down. I click on a show that is out of sync with the back end near when it’s about to start another show and one of two things happens.i get offered to record but not watch or my view changes away from grid view. Suggestions: Put views in settings and Not within UI since app writer cant control remote well. Also I would like a full screen grid like I had on androidtv but no way to get same interface on Apple. For the money being exchanged the interface and control aspects of this app are unacceptable. Considering alternate services that offer better app quality. This was magic on appletv but on Apple I feel you made my tv smaller and I am swinging to see past the half page ads. I don’t like ads. Give me full screen and a settings menu to never go away from a FULL SCREEN GRID!

New Sling Interface. The new Sling interface is terrible, the previous one was much better. The fact that you can no longer clear out the Continue Watching list, as you could under the old interface, makes this new interface not user friendly. The old interface would clear out all shows in the Continue Watching queue, which in itself was lousy, it should have allowed the user to remove individual movies. But the new interface does not have the option to remove a show, any show, from the Continue Watching queue. Like the developer doesn’t realize..or doesn’t care, that I might watch something for a few minutes and decide I don’t want to watch anymore of it and have NO desire to continue watching it. Now, this new interface forces one to fast forward through the show to get to the end to remove the entry from the Continue Watching queue. And even that can be a pain as they force one to watch ads by disabling video controls during the ads so you can’t fast forward past them. You should return to the old interface as this new one is NOT an improvement, it’s a step backwards to something worse.

Buggy and just not worth the subscription price. I have had the app for a couple of months... it’s been a rather inexpensive choice to gain some access to channels that don’t yet have a live TV subscription from their standalone apps. That’s about the only good thing with this app. Almost always, the app will crash within a minute of first starting the app. The guide does not allow you to keep a program playing in the background while you browse the guide for future showtimes. If you tune to a channel towards the end of an hour and a show is starting at the top, you cannot tune into the live channel and have to wait for the live broadcast to catch up to the guide. If you set up “my channels” the guide resets at some unknown interval, but quite frequently. You always have to set it again to just see your preferred channels. Programs often freeze and buffer. I stuck around this long just because I had enough tolerance and wanted some live news channels through the end of the year. But I will be checking out other platforms even if the cost a bit more to avoid the frustrations.

I would give a ZERO if i could.... I tried the free trial and was very disappointed, it kept having to buffer and it froze alot. So I cancelled the free trial online and it showed that it had been cancelled. Then 3 months later i find out that it actually never cancelled and that they have been charging me $30 something dollars a month and i called customer service so i could get my money back and the represenative over the phone was very rude and had an attidude and kept saying they couldnt do anything about it. I asked to speak to a manager and the representative over the phone again says he cant do anything about it. So at this time i guess i got screwed out $90 dollars but im on here to tell everyone “DO NOT” get sling tv!!! You all should check out VADER STREAMS or NITRO TV. You get 1700 channels including all these channels that sling makes you pay extra for and only for $20 Check em out!!! Well i guess it is what it is and as long as at least 1 person doesnt get sling b/c of my review then thats worth my $90 dollars that they stole from me. Deuce!!! XD

Commercials follow you everywhere.... I like convenience of sling. I can run it on multiple devices simultaneously and it works great... well, when it does. However, the biggest annoyance I’m experiencing with constant advertising. It seems that 99% of the time, when I start live streaming, I’m getting 5 min. of commercials staring away. At first I thought it was just coincidental, but after using this service for several months, I can see a clear pattern. Also, commercials would continue popping up and you can’t even escape from them when watching archives. Today, I started CNN live and was presented with 3 min. of commercials right away, then there was a small 2 min. segment of CNN programming, and then it went back to commercials again. This is ridiculous. I’m sure sling people would dismiss it by saying that they are running the channel normally and commercials are being delivered as scheduled. But, my experience begs the difference. I’ll be probably canceling my service in the near future in favor of commercial-free services like Netflix. In the meantime, I’ll mute the sound and go do something else while commercials are being played. Those practices are very unfair, especially if you are a paying customer. At least, others would let you opt out of commercials for a bit extra money. Not sling.

Good but tv app trash. I like sling - although the apple app is great the tv one is trash . We downloaded the sling app for our Samsung curve 65” . If watching live tv it’s fine but watching previous season of a show it constantly stops and blacks out, then returns, it restarts, it black outs and freezes blacked out, etc . It also is slow when receiving remote control signals . Like I click down down and it’s stuck at the top . It takes a few tries to pause a show also . I thought it was the reponte and went to a different app - perfectly fine . I don’t know if it’s does the same rn for recoded shows but for previous on demand shows it’s trash . So frustrating . Please fix it . We’re paying $54/m the same for cable - an cable doesn’t cause these issues . So please fix otherwise you’ve lost out services and I’ll make sure family and friends are aware of these issues and recommend they stay away from sling . Thank you.

Heads up Sling has got to do better.. There is some glitches on this app the channels where you can watch things on demand like a series would say season 2 with 8 episodes only to click on it and it not be that. Not the first time it has happened. Then on live tv it will say one thing is on only for it to be something else other than what it is. This app takes 30 bucks off my debit card monthly why should I as a customer have these issues? Yea it’s a lot cheaper than cable but if I did decide to switch to cable tv I wouldn’t have this issue. Also another thing I been having this app now for over 6 months update the on demand options. The same thing is on their from when I first got this app. Do the creator of sling even watch sling to know that these issues are there?

Works fairly well. I just recently switched to sling TV from DIRECTV in order to save cost every month. The one thing I will say is that when playing back episodes on A&E the screen tends to freeze and the video stops playing all the audio continues this happens a lot I have to restart the app to get it to come back I reinstalled the app a few times as well but it still happening not sure if it’s the one episode or if it’s a continuous issue I will update for sure but the developer may need to look at their on-demand video playback. The other thing that’s a little frustrating is that I can’t use my sling login on A&E to watch videos on their app since their app has no problems. I’m guessing more so this is a cable company contract a conundrum then something that sling has control over but it would be nice if I could use my sling cable subscription to login to all of the channels apps as well just like I used to with DIRECTV. I will also say that slings mobile app is much better than DIRECTV which has got to be one of the worst in the business

Flawless.... if the app worked.. I don’t normally write reviews but after being a paying customer for over a year I’m about done with sling. Don’t dare try to watch anything on demand. The app constantly crashes especially if you’re using your cellphone. Doesn’t matter if you have the greatest cellphone provider along with WiFi just don’t even bother because you’re not going to be able to watch an entire show no matter what. It typically crashes towards the middle to end so if you want to watch anything you’re better off dvr’ing it and then watching it on a smart tv or Xbox. It’s a joke honestly. Unfortunately for us where we live we don’t get very many options as far as cable providers and WiFi providers. If sling doesn’t up their game we will be switching to direct tv now. Only reason I haven’t switched is because sling is the provider my autistic children have been raised on and big changes like that make for weeks of meltdowns. So frustrating when you pay for a service and get less than 1/2 of what you’re paying for. It’s like buying a bag of chips. You pay for more air than actual food.

Great Start, Needs Improvement. Sling has great potential, and with some improvements, it could be a great app. The improvements needed would include PiP. As far as I know, Sling is the only streaming app that does not take advantage of PiP used with the iPad. Therefore, I have to shut the app down when I need to check email or try to do other tasks. A comment made by one of their competitors, when I checked to see if their app has PiP, was, they didn’t think Sling had the technical know how to do PiP. I’m beginning to wonder if that is true. There is no clock to see the time. You can get a general idea of the time based on the show you are watching, but to get the specific time, again, you have to shutdown the app. In fact, I had to shutdown the app to write this review that the app asked me to write. I feel disconnected when using the app due to having to shut it down just to check on various items. The app hangs and/or shuts down. I have missed many “good parts” due to the app either hanging up or just completely shutting down on its own.

This is beyond atrocious.... .Vue went away. Fubo is FUBAR (the one good thing about it being that I was finally able to make my own profile, then star channels in the order I want them in the guide.) I'd like to try Dish but like Sling, it appears to be missing a particular crucial channel, somehow. I mean, what year is this? It shouldn't be too much to ask to have ONE perfect service with every channel that isn't an intelligence-insulting ripoff. You'd have all the customers. That I can't create my own profile, login on the site, arrange a custom channel list in my desired order, and save it, is disgustingly prehistoric at this point. I've got a list of about 116 channels, of which none should be missing from a service; don't you want the widest, largest audience possible? (Note: I cut out all the boring news, sports, etc. I should be able to choose the ones I want.) Also? You should be able to watch while scrolling. The guide boxes should include as much text (episode titles, descriptions, etc.) as reasonably possible. It's probably best to see a highlighted channel's program info at the top of the screen so that only one click is needed to select it. I guess it'd just be a miracle for the free over-the-air channels (with the vastly superior guide) to be able to be added in with the rest instead of having to be separate.

I’d rather be IN a sling than try to use Sling. Every time I go to watch the World Cup something on the guide is wrongly advertised/ labeled and I can’t watch the games. I will go out of my way in every town, on every street, in every restaurant, in every home remodeling expo, in every pool supply shop, in every discount tire waiting-room; to make sure no one I meet uses this app. I’d absolutely recommend people hold their ear up to their neighbors wall to listen to what happens in the games rather than even bother trying to watch through the app. It will be an infinitely more enjoyable experience. I think I’m going to throw my computer out of my window if anyone would like to come watch that instead of trying to watch something unsuccessfully on Sling. I just finished tearing out my hair and I think I’ll start sawing my limbs off now. I’d rather watch my own birth on tape than use Sling. I’d rather watch YOUR birth on tape. I’d rather hold my hand in a tank of piranhas than hold my phone trying to watch Sling. I’d rather swim upstream in lavaflow-without a snorkel. I’d MUCH rather swing from a tree by my own nose hair than try to watch Sling. This has been therapeutic. I actually feel better. My mind hasn’t changed though. This app is pure, unadulterated, uninhibited bungholio.

Inconsistent functionality. I’m reporting inconsistency on this app on all platforms be it apple, Samsung tv, or google play store. Here’s my issue. First of all the system won’t let me record a specific program. That program being any Formula 1 race. I can record almost everything else I want except for F1. I have to watch it as a past program only if I don’t catch it live. Doing this prevents me from fast forwarding. Normally I would be ok with this but the “resume” feature does not work @ all! So if I pause or exit the stream that I’m in the program will start itself over every time no matter which device I start or resume from. This is obviously frustrating not to mention how sluggish & unresponsive the commands are from my remote ...& it not my tv cause every other app works fine & does not crash nearly as much. I deleted all unnecessary data & have everything set to auto update & it’s still glitchy. As of right now I regret paying for Sling TV. I hope they can fix this because they have a good thing that could easily turn customers away to other platforms if they don’t fix this.

Poor Chromecast Compatibility. Overall the app is decent if you want to watch on your device; however, if you want to watch a game replay through a Chromecast the app will give you plenty of time to write reviews about how frustrating it is to use with Chromecast. The app force feeds additional commercials which usually have the effect of crashing the connection then it restarts whatever you were watching at the beginning or maybe some random location so you lose your place. And if you thought about going back to watch a play in that basketball game, forget about it because that functionality doesn’t work. Or maybe you thought you’d skip the commercials ... too bad ... you can’t jump forward either. I subscribed to sling for the sports and it really fails as a sports fan.

Rude customer service -1 star. They have some loopholes in their policy. Better read it completely, understand it thoroughly. Do not trust like any other normal subscription company. I took it 4 days back and called them 2 days ago and mentioned that I was particularly looking for a program and it wasn’t coming and they said that they are working with them and they don’t know the ETA to resolve it. And two days later I called them to check on it they mentioned they are not providing that program and rudely answered that big boss is not only the show you are getting on MAA tv you can watch any other show which we are providing. When I requested for cancellation and mentioned that I can pay for 4 days they said we can cancel after an year. The point was is if they are particular about their policy, they should be particular about customer satisfaction too. There is no mentions on their web site regarding unavailable shows when i signup.

Very poor service. I am a subscriber of sports channels in Sling and very sorry to inform that, the pathetic service that Sling is providing will soon make me to run away from it. Their Bot support is a smoke scree, one of the worst bots may be prepared during medieval time . Tried to reach out to them and they have a timing for that as well. I waited too call them for the next day(my match was gone) They don’t pick the call. There was no other way for me to reach out other than writing this review. I wanted to switch streaming on my phone to my tv, after that it is complaining it can’t play as it exhausted the max connection. If that is the case Why on earth I cannot have control to shut connection that’s part of my home WiFi router or that belongs to my account ? Is it such a big deal ? To resolve this why on earth I have to face your sub standard Bots Or in fact your service that I am experiencing ? I am shocked to see the rating of this app 4.4 out of 5 average. Is it the Bot effect ?

Terrible customer service. Watching Arizona vs Texas Tech football game. All of a sudden TV feed stopped. Went to the guide and the game was not available to watch. All other aspects of the sling were working fine. Just that game was dropped in the 4 th quarter. I had guests over and all were so upset. The next morning tried to use their help on line, worthless... tried to call( spent 15 min just to find a number to call), on hold for over thirty min. no answer. I called back 3 hrs. later, on hold for 25 min. still no answer... All I can say is when it works, fine, but when things are not right this is total Crap! Finally someone came on the line, they said they could not help me. They have no clue as to what happened! Said to try the sling help on line... told them that was no help, they didn’t believe me...supervisor came on the line, could not tell me what happened or if it would happen again. Total waste of time!

Horrible customer service. I don’t write bad reviews generally but I have to say that Sling probably has the worst customer service across all streaming providers. I chatted with their customer rep today because I found double charges on my credit card for Sling. When I asked them to investigate, they mentioned I have 2 accounts active. I told them the last account was cancelled last year itself and I haven’t used it since then. As such, they can’t continue to charge me and at the very least refund the last payment processed a couple days ago. The rep didn’t care and was completely indifferent to my request. She flashed the terms & conditions policy, stating they offer prepaid service and I have to pay for the remaining billing period. I have cancelled all accounts with them and I would advise people to be cautious before availing their service as they are only concerned about making money and NOT their customers.

Just Okay. The only reason I gave this service more than 1 star is the price point. $10/mo to watch World Cup matches live and on demand in Portuguese and French works well for me. The problem is they don’t tell you that they only record up to 2 hrs and 30 mins of each match. So if a match ends up in a penalty shootout and you don’t see it live, you won’t be able to watch it on demand. I missed both important matches today and they both ended in penalty shootouts. So, I won’t be able to see the end of those games on Slingtv, despite being a paying customer. The other aggravating thing is that they don’t organize the on demand matches in any particular order. So, you have to painstakingly scroll through each match till you figure out which is the one you’re looking for. I don’t know why they don’t sort them chronologically by default. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

BUYER BEWARE, they’ll steal your money. Sling TV’s apps are very glitchy. They are aware of it and there is no timeframe for it to be completed. Most importantly, they are so insecure that they claim not to offer refunds. This only implies that they know the customers would be dissatisfied and would want a refund. So they make us believe that we are trapped. I paid for 1 month of service. On the third day all of the issues were intolerable. But Sling was already made aware of the issues with no plan to fix it. I asked to be cancelled effectively immediately. They cancelled me then reverted my acct to a free account. I was I was told that the refund would have to come from my bank. Unfortunately, at that time J banked with Chime. Chime’s response was, they don’t give refunds. Now, I have to file a claim with CFPB against Chime and Sling TV. I only used 3 days of a 1 month subscription that they cancelled. I wasn’t given a refund or a proration. They STOLE MY MONEY. AND CHIME ALLOWED THEM TO DO IT.

Cut the cord and your bill. I’ll admit I was a little leery about cutting cable for a streaming service. But, wow, what a good idea. I saved almost $1,100 a year and upgraded my internet speed to the fastest. I only use my cell for my phone so that’s another $33/month savings. Sling TV has almost everything you want (no FoxNews, OWN, or Investigation Discovery) but ALL the sports and channels you normally watch. It works very well and they add channels all the time (Hallmark Drama) without extra fees. I use an over the air antenna for basic channels which I thought would be a hassle but is not at all. And customer service is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Try Sling and you will never go back to overpriced ever-rising cable again.

Hate latest updates. A Sling TV update should improve on things; however the last two updates instead of improving what sling was currently offering it made everything worse. I’m not sure exactly why it’s called an update when you’re basically making things worse. When I initially signed up for sling just over a year ago we couldn’t pause fast forward or rewind live TV. Months later we were able to and I said yes great. We were then able to view TV Guide and explore other options while you’re watching an actual program. Now we can’t even do that. The last two updates have not made anything better. I suggest you go back two updates ago and leave it alone because at this point I am ready to say bye-bye sling.

Crashes. I got a subscription from the company because of the price and the channels provided are the ones I typically watch so I thought it was a win-win. But it hasn’t even been a week yet and I’ve already started encountering so many problems. I prefer to use the app on my Samsung tablet but unfortunately it’s started crashing on there. Most of the time when I try watching movies with the tablet, the video are very very slow. But today just trying to watch a single show is impossible. All I hear are sounds and the screen will be black and frozen. Then it’ll cause the device to restart. On my iPhone however there aren’t any major crashes. I mean they still do but only when I try watching in PIP. Very rarely does it work in PIP. As soon as I try to watch it in PIP mode, the app crashes and I’ll have to reopen it again. Please fix this problem. I’m really trying to like this app.

The idea is great and the service is affordable - but not always usable.. We signed up a couple months ago and would use it with our Apple hdmi hook-up on the tv and it worked pretty well. No error messages at that time - it would, however, take a long time to start a channel and sometimes i would have to shut the app off, and restart several times before it would start up. My iPhone 8 auto-updated the app and now I get the ‘screen-mirroring’ message which makes the app unusable for me. Very frustrating. I don’t like paying for a service that is so glitchy and now completely useless. If this ever gets fixed I will sign back up because I like having the hallmark channel for the Christmas movies but it looks like that won’t happen this year. I hope the technical issues get fixed. It’s really a great idea and a good value when it works!

POOR CUSTOMER SURVICE, pray you don’t have a problem if you sign up.. so, let me start with Sling is a great “idea”, allows me to watch sports when I’m not tie to one tv. HOWEVER, it has happened to me multiple times that Sling wouldn’t start, or just wouldn’t let me click on ANY channels, saying it wasn’t available in my region (which is obviously not the reason, I was in the states, using regular WiFi) And when you contact the support (either on phone, or with chat), all they tell you to do is, restart your app, restart your website, delete your app and reinstall, restart you phone. Which, I tried all of it, and none of it helped. And then they’ll just say sorry, while your problem is unresolved, unexplained. It makes me feel like they don’t value their service nor their costumer. So yeah, I’m an upset paying customer. All I’m saying is you better hope your service never have problem, because when they do, you might not have a solution and just wasting money.

Best on the market. Listen, I hate paying for cable as much the next millennial, which is why I LOVE Sling. The only time you’ll catch me watching broadcasted tv is during football season. So why on earth would I pay $200/month for a fixed 2 year contract to have 80 channels I don’t watch?! And that’s what I love most about Sling, I only have to subscribe to it when I want it, I can customize my plan, and at a very reasonable price!! So every September I resubscribe and I delete it after the national title game. Love it. And a bonus? I still get my first month half-off even though I’ve already subscribed in the past! Not to mention, Sling is a widely excepted cable service for other streaming apps! This is your sign to get Sling TV!

Will no longer stream on Starlink. I contacted Sling and said my app stopped working. We have had Starlink internet service at our home in California for about three months now. All of sudden the sling app stopped working. After some trouble shooting I figured out that Sling changed something to not allow Starlink satellite subscribers to continue to use sling. I contacted the customer support via their chat and was told a fix is in the works. However no timeline was available, but my subscription fee remains the same, when service is not available due to their internal issues. It was working great, now they can’t seem to roll out the fix? No communication on when. Just left me to languish. I wonder will they miss me when I cancel my subscription? How many Starlink subscribers do you think must be thinking the same thing I am?

Poor streaming and technical support. Since the update I have not been able to stream from phone/iPad to tv. I’ve been trying to watch bravo and vh1 but for some reason it doesn’t work. I’ve called to complain one lady put in a ticket. The second time a week later after still not being able to stream those channels the rep hung up on me, called again another ticket was placed. No one has yet to contact me to resolve the issue. I’m paying for a service I can’t use. I only watch bravo vh1 and we tv and I can’t even do that and all they want to do is put in tickets. I’m going to disconnect the service if it continues. It’s very off putting when you can’t get what you pay for nor can you be credited for not being able to stream and no one getting back to you with a resolution or solution to the problem. The app works as long as I don’t stream. I don’t want to watch on my phone or iPad. This is very frustrating!

Sling review. The app on my phone works incredibly well I really enjoy using it. The new update on the TV is not as good I still enjoy Sling .The fast forward and rewind don’t work as well as before. I like the way the guide looked across the top horizontally rather than vertically plus it showed the previous shows with much more ease. Also when you use the guide it always comes back to the very beginning of your programming package it does not stay on the previous program that you turn the TV off on. And one last thing you used to be able to go back to the previous station with the press of a button you can’t do that no longer either

3 day trial scam. Sling are scam artists, I used their “3 day free trial” for 1 day then canceled. They charged my credit card account anyway. I called a week later and spent 30 min on hold and then 45 min arguing with a representative and then a manager, not fun. They admitted that I had not used the service since the day of activation and demanded rudely that I provide proof of cancelation (I was calling to request that they send proof of my cancelation). I suspect that they are profitable only because they charge for the first month regardless of which free trial you use. In short they were rude, they misrepresented their agreement and their customer service claimed they did not have the ability to refund me the money for a service I never signed up for...and then they finally did after an hour of my time. It’s not worth your time, cut your cord and find a different service to fill the gap, they are worse than Comcast.

Update user interface. User interface is the absolute worst. Could be a lot more simpler but it’s very complicated and annoying. For example instead of showing the channels it shows the program that’s currently showing and that can be very confusing for someone who is looking for a specific channel. Also I’m streaming from Roku and I feel like their should be a feature to just simply change channels. It would be nice to still have that cable feel while streaming Sling on my Roku device instead it feels like Tubi Tv. Give users are more authentic simple experience rather than bating on streaming features.

DBS. Love the fact I got ALL the dragon ball super episodes. I love the price, and ability to watch anywhere. I love being able to record, rewind, or start from the beginning of a show. It has all of my ladies favorite shows as well. It just has and does everything I want out of cable these days. I used to pay hundreds of dollars for satellite tv and it wasn’t always there for me. Only problem I have with it is nbcsn. I’m a huge hockey fan and when a game is scheduled to come on it wouldn’t play. It would play something totally different and it was the playoffs. The most important time of the year. That needs to be fixed for sure. Other then that everything is great.

Buggy. Overall I like Sling. I like the selection mostly. I have noticed, however, that they’re buggy no matter what you watch it on. I have it on my iPad, iPhone, and Xbox one, and they all have issues (e.g, crashes). The MOST annoying issue (on ALL platforms I’ve tried) is when you stop a prerecorded show and it NEVER wants to play for you again! Instead you get the message “We’re sorry! Temporarily unable to load video. Try reloading or changing the channel.” Now, they use the word “temporarily” very loosely, because that show will NEVER load again. I mean ... I saved one prerecorded show for two months hoping it would eventually play, but it was broken across all platforms. Sorry Dateline .... guess I’ll never know who the murderer was in that episode! Ok, no other streaming service has this issue ... so figure it out ... please!

Service ok, Apple TV and iPhone apps bad!. I’ve had sling for a few months now and the service is pretty good, but it’s hard to look past the glitchiness of the app. I have to close the app and restart often, it’s very hard to scroll through something to find where you left off (sometimes the app saves your place, sometimes not). Some commercials have glitches where it will freeze the app and I have to close it and start all over again. Sometimes I’ll watch something and it fast forwards at random. And I’m also a little upset about not being able to mirror from phone to tv. Also I can’t get the app to play on Chromecast very well. Every time I try the video is always very choppy, but it plays fine on my phone once I disconnect from Chromecast. Overall, this app has a long way to go before it’s anywhere near “Netflix quality.”

I Don’t Do This But I MUST .... I usually don’t write a review unless I feel I need to. In this case I do . I’m really happy with this Subscription . It’s more then what I was expecting, I have all the channels I really usually see and enjoy Plus more and for a great price . Best part is if I want more I can add more and know what I’m paying for . I like the layout, easy to work . A Kool thing I like is anything u “Favorite” appears in you home screen no matter the Chanel. Makes it feel more customizable and yours. If u want cable but don’t want to pay for Chanel’s you’ll never see , I really recommend this .. and if u don’t like it u can always cancel and not have some1 come in your home . Definitely a happy customer.

Apple update app is not easy to use.. Sorry Sling. Looks like we are going to be cancelling. We loved the previous format, before the apple update, could easily find what we wanted by using the guide. Across the top of the screen we could find the channel and scroll down to current or on demand shows. Now with new format, channels are listed down left side of screen, are hard for us to read as too small and the rest of the screen looks like a channel guide. More clicking to find on demand shows. For disabled, with vision problems, this has created great confusion and just does not work for my 76 year old husband. He keeps going too far to right or left and gives up. Your customer service could not help us get back to previous format. So now we are trying out Hulu's free trial. Yes it costs a little more but we get many more channels.

WORST INTERNATIONAL INDIAN CHANNEL SERVICE. Whenever these Sling people do an update there is some flaw included with their patch, always their indian channels or any other games channels come hanging and the orange ring keeps turning and it gives an error message of 4-310 or 4-410 when we tried to reach their customer service all they give are lame and dumb excuses as restart your app or delete app and re install it, I have told them I work in IT security and I know how all you guys work and what they come up is we will let our engineering department know and they will try and fix the issue on 1-2 weeks time or it may take more, am like you must me joking with me and she said no mam., she sure doesn’t know what the hell she is talking about., Sling you either close your service or fix and dam bugs right away and let our parents watch indian TV channels and news with no issue., this is absurd, train your people fully and fix the issue 1-2 week to fix and issue? Cut the crap I will tell all my friend not to have Sick Sling no more

To clarify I’m reviewing for a smart TV app. The app is glitchy like clockwork. I’ve had Sling for over a year and i rarely use it and question why I don’t just get rid of it at least once a week. When i do use it, it only works for 2.5 hrs before it resets itself. No binging a show that’s on a network, no watching a whole movie all the way through without the entire app crashing and resetting my entire TV. Every. Time. I’ve tried exiting out during commercials and then resigning back in the avoid the 2.5 hr deadline but it doesn’t always work. Do it too soon and it just crashes 20 minutes later. I want to like the app. Honestly, i would have gotten rid of it by now if i didn’t, but it’s really annoying to loose complete access to your TV for a solid 10-15 min to reset because of one app.

Update is NOT WORKING. The sling app was working great, then suddenly it wasn’t after it updated. It opens, I click on a show, it plays the commercials then it just loops then gives me error codes UNDEFINED [28-60] I’ve contacted Sling and have not heard back. Also, when you go on the website to confirm that iPad is supported, it says it does not support IOS 11 or higher and it does not support Chrome 102 on an IOS device 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Like I said it was working fine for several months then suddenly it just stopped working. I need this rectified ASAP since I watch sling on my IPAD that is updated with IOS 15 and I’ve deleted the app as suggested by Sling tech support and reinstalled to no avail. So why does it play ESPN and commercials but nothing else? And I receive errors when I attempt to watch online instead of thought the app. I have screenshots if needed, it DOES NOT WORK ON IPAD since the update last week!

So glad I switched. Both my wife and I are so glad we switched to Sling. We were cable TV customers for 25 years and we grew so tired of their tactics and continual price increases. There didn't seem to be any other options until we heard of Sling. My brother signed up for it first and he loved it. So we thought we'd try it too and we have been so happy that we did. We love it! It offers everything that we want to watch and there have been no price increases. We can watch all kinds of concerts, love their on demand, love all the college football games shown each week, and love that we can see all the channels that we want to watch. Highly recommend Sling! Definitely rate it 5 stars.

Works Great! ....if..... We love it! Our current channel line-up Org,Blu, Sports X, HBO, all for $65/mo. The picture quality is better than my cable picture was.(Uverse) Seems the trick is, your internet service speed and a good router. If these two aren’t up to speed, streaming can be frustrating. Local channels are already free and with a good remote (like Logitech Harmony) it’s simple to change back n forth. I also like having access to all these channels from my phone, don’t use it that often, but it’s great when I do. Turning viewing packages on/off from home is another good feature. Just takes a minute, you’re finished, move on with my day. Always hated the 45 minute phone call to the cable company.

Pretty Much What We Needed I guess. Update: Changed my rating after dealing with awful customer service rep. I noticed that all of my shows had two or three extra long commercial breaks and when the show would come back on, it was like I had missed several scenes. Turns out Sling was airing their own commercials after the live program has returned to the show. What? I’m paying for TV and missing a third of the show so Sling can make money from me and it’s own commercials? Nope. When I explained this to the representative they were incredibly rude and said they weren’t going to fix my issue but could tell me how to turn the app off and back on. Completely ridiculous. My family enjoys sling tv. We use it on our smart tv and our iPads. It does freeze occasionally, has a few blurry channels during high demand hours, and it often crashes a time or two at start up. However, despite that, it works for us since we don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on channels we don't care about. We love the selection of shows available to "watch now" and many of the channels are ones we would choose to buy if we could pick individuals. I do wish they had more 'add on' channels available, but that is probably a dish contract stipulation. Hopefully more will be added in the future. I only gave it four stars because they could do even more to make the channel set individualized.

All the channels I want, nearly impossible to watch.. We have had Sling for over a year, and while I love all the available channels and being able to stay current on my fave shows in-season, the app is so glitchy and it’s nearly impossible to watch a show from beginning to end without some kind of issue. It usually takes an hour and a half minimum to watch a 45 minute program. Crashes after the exorbitant number of commercial breaks, forces you to rewatch the same block of commercials after a crash, blips back to the beginning of programs after the last or next-to-last commercial breaks. These are just a few of the issues we’ve faced with the app. It’s the only way I have to watch certain shows I like to keep up with, so we keep our subscription, but it’s been a lot of hassle. Really not worth what we pay for it. Had I known it was this bad going in, we’d not have subscribed in the first place.

Don’t delete stuff after it airs. Don’t delete stuff after it airs. Because like with Harry Potter I went up there and saw every movie playing so later when I went to watch them with my Dad, older brother and my older sister they weren’t up there anymore and now my dad has to rent it thanks to y’all. I’m a big fan of Harry Potter and now I have to wait to watch them and I’m super angry 😡 with y’all. I wanted to watch it with them because normally my dad has to work and me and my siblings have to do school work and now we can’t watch it so now I have to go on and read the next book without watching the movie which is not how we roll in my family. So don’t delete stuff after it airs!!!!!!!

Overall better than a year ago but-. UPDATED REVIEW: Sling continues to get better, however, there seems to be a recent bug so that every week or 10 days the recorder misses recording a daily show or only records the later showing. The Rachel Maddow show is the one I notice this happening with- it’s on at 6 and 9 in my zone. I like to watch about 7:30 so it’s a bummer when this happens and there’s no recording available when there should be. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Sling TV is way better than it was a couple years ago and even better than it was 3 months ago. That said, there’s a few things that need improvement. I don’t like that you have to pay to store more than 5 hrs of shows or whatever. Also channels occasionally disappear and the ones that get added I usually could care less about. But why no CSPAN? Or PBS? Limited local channels are also a drag but at the moment, CSPAN tops my wishlist.

Decent but has annoying bugs. I like the fact that I can take television wherever I go with this app, but it’s sometimes unreliable. The app won’t even start some days and at other times it cuts off in the middle of whatever I’m watching. It also sometimes jumps backwards in time, particularly when I watch the news on CNN. For example, at 9:59 PM, the show I was watching will revert to the beginning of the hour instead of continuing on the 10 PM show. I have to close the app and restart to watch the 10 PM program. It’s been a constant frustration. Overall, it’s a good alternative to cable, and I have the networks I most want to watch. I hope they find a way to work out the annoying bugs in the app soon.

Missing Needed Features. There is NO channel recall feature on the app. Understandable maybe on a phone with limited screen space but not on the Apple TV app. Also. The Apple TV app defaults back to All Channels when using the quick guide along the bottom, forcing you to now scroll through tons of channels that you just don’t care about or take an extra step to go up again, select My Channels, come back down, scroll again, and then choose your desired channel. Oh, and for some reason you can’t scroll continuously around to the beginning of the list, you have to go back and forth, end to end. That is minor if you have a channel recall feature, but that is evidently not an option. It really makes no sense why these features are not present in Apple UI, but included in Roku UI, etc.

Stuck with add-on packages. When I started my subscription with Sling it was a great value, the apps were glitchy but I could live with it for the price. But then the prices started going up and up and the glitches never improved. But where the real frustration lies for me is being stuck with a channel package that I no long want. I tried removing it before my billing cycle 2 months ago but it stayed and I was still charged. I continue to try to remove it but to no avail. There is no update tab if want to remove a package but there sure is if you want to add a package. I have looked all over the web site and unless I am completely missing it, I see no way to contact Sling to resolve this issue. I really have better things to do than watch tv anyway. Probably a good reason to cancel my subscription, shut off the tv and do something worthwhile.

It’s great on the tv but. When I’m home and want to watch something, sling is my go to app. On the tv. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the iPhone app. I rarely get a functional working app. I always get an error message that says to restart the app and try again later. I don’t know if it is the location or the current app version that is messing up my mobile experience. I live in the greater Los Angeles area so I don’t know if that has anything to do with the situation but it might. I would love to get this resolved because I love using the app when it is working properly. If I where to solely rate the app on the mobile version it would probably at a one star. IT NEVER WORKS !

The User Experience on the New App is Awful. The layout is enlarged, so you see less channels as you are scrolling. Additionally, before you could select a channel and read the description of the show before watching. Now the moment you select a channel, it starts playing. It’s weird. You can’t see all channels in one view unless it’s A-Z, now you have to select a genre of channels to view and it pre-selects the categories and channels that appear. It’s also extremely buggy. I watch a show for 15-20 minutes and the app starts freezing. It never did that before I was forced to upgrade to this new version. Fix it! It’s clear there was no consumer focus group prior to this new version launch. We could have you so much time and money providing feedback that the features you took away were beloved and needed, and the version you have now is horrendous and needs to be scrapped for the old one.

App Ads PRE-EMPT TV content!. UPDATE: Now the ads coming from the App (not the network ads but app ads) are pre-empting actual TV network content! So, you miss actual content you paid for under their plan because the company that develops this app decided to sell ad space on the app itself! This is a paid service so you need to remove the ads that happen in the app. Period. There are added ads in the app that are in addition to the ads coming from network channel broadcasts. This is unnecessary considering it’s a paid service. Also, the app is glitchy and crashes. The closed captioning keeps defaulting as “on” every time you access a channel and at the top of every hour. And the video lags quite often. A main rule of good business is that you create a consistently excellent dependable product and have consistent stellar customer service. It’s the customer you serve, not the advertisers. Without customers, the ads have no purpose! So if you can’t fix your product, and if your product isn’t satisfying your customers, and if you don’t care about customer service and are fooled into thinking you’re entitled to your customer base and they’ll always stay with you, you’re simply wrong. Customers won’t stay with you and be abused. There are other places they can go.

ANYONE BUT SLING. If you are deciding between sling or another streaming service just go with the other. Got sling on a decent promo they were running to watch NFL redzone and golf. The first Sunday of NFL season they could not even get redzone up and missed most of the first quarters of the season. Throughout the entire season it just continues to buffer in the middle of games, the screen gets grainy, and it puts all the games behind. When watching golf it buffers so bad the audio gets way behind what’s actually going on. You are hearing and watching two different things. It is not a problem with my connection. I continuously run checks on my router and have other games streaming on other devices on NFL Sundays and they go off without a hitch. I also check Twitter when these things happen and see many people across the country having the same issues. Will definitely be going with another service for next year.

I was referred & Now I refer. It goes off on me but I believe it’s my device NOT sling! The one thing I wish they had in their settings would be sleep mode, shut off after 2hrs of inactivity, 4hrs of inactivity or Never! Like the light/screen on your phone. That’s only a suggestion, not an issue! Personally, The biggest selling point for me was how affordable it was. Sadly, once they started becoming well known & used, They raised the price! Even for current & loyal customers which has swayed my feelings a bit! If not by much Depending on the company, area etc, Its still cheaper than most cable companies & it’s live as if it were cable. I was referred to sling & I used to refer & tell everyone about it. I haven’t referred it as much since they raised the price tho bc that’s what made it stand out, Basically the same as cable tv for a portion of the price...

Service is lacking. A couple of glaring flaws in an otherwise good platform. First - my region doesn’t include any local channels except for FOX so I can’t watch SNF, any NFL on CBS, or any local network programs that exist on NBC, ABC, CBS… that’s just insanely dumb and a huge fail out of the gate. The second part is that the quality is mediocre in terms of streaming quality. No, it’s not an internet issue. I have 1.4 Gbps down, 35 Mbps up and reliably get those speeds and the WiFi router is not even 4’ away and has zero interference so it’s Sling. I often see 480p or heavily compressed (downgraded) 720p streams and it’s just ugly on anything larger than a phone or tablet. I’m not keeping this service. Sorry, but these two misses are not worth me choosing this tv package over others.

LOVE Sling, but.... You have to have a TOP NOTCH internet connection for Sling to really work right. I have Verizon Fios with an 880 mbs connection. Works great. I would hate to use Sling with a crummy connection. Reading some of the bad reviews here I can immediately see that a slow internet connection is to blame. But I also have another issue, and that is you cannot alter your subscription with the phone app, you have to go to the full site for that. Booo!! One of Sling’s great benefits is the ease of changing subscriptions. For example, I almost never watch network TV, but I changed my subscription to Sling Blue for a month in order to watch the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics on NBC. When the Olympics were over, I switched back to Orange. Not being able to do this on the app is a pain.

Worst Live TV I’ve ever experienced. Don’t want to be mean but it really is the worst. I am so poor but really want to listen to live news so I put up with it. I cannot count how many times I have had to shut it down, turn it on/ off, restart a show and have a show black out on screen or delete the app and reinstall. Lately it decides to shut down at the top of the hour or when a show might end, it just shuts off. Or it decides to replay the show I was already watching. It buffers constantly. Watching an on demand movie is ridiculous as it’s picture is so bad, if you want to pause it can’t because it can’t remember that it’s playing a movie. Honestly there’s more but not worth the explanation. And it’s not me, I’ve tried all the suggested fixes as I am quite the researcher on these matters. Not my internet as my Prime shows come in completely clear with no buffering. We had a better picture in the 60s with rabbit ears.

Atrocious for Nhl hockey. HATE IT. SLING! PLEASE READ I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE I upgraded to blue plan plus news and sports add ons so I could get all of the NHL playoffs. Two days into playoffs and I’m completely regretting not going with directTV or something else. The games have been going blacked out before they end, the streaming keeps tearing, and the app on my appleTV has been locking up and freezing my whole AppleTV. I can’t get any customer service on the phone because they only allow for online chat, I spent a half hour waiting for them and then another half hour chatting through the issues. I hope someone at the company reads these so they can fix these bugs so I can watch the games and see the last two minutes and overtimes. Hugely disappointed and I never write reviews, I’m just hoping they are reading this and can get their programmers on the issues. UPDATE: I HATE this app!!! It’s infuriating!! The games keep going black minutes before the game is over!!!!! FIX IT!!!

It keeps crashing.. This app used to be great, but ever since iOS 13 it is glitchy and crash-prone garbage. Across the board, on all my devices, this app will not work for longer than 10 minutes before something happens. Do you like watching television with audio? If so, don’t use this app because the sound drops out every third word. Do you enjoy not having the news freeze? Well, you’re not in luck here. The news will freeze right when the information that you were waiting for begins. The upside though is that after the freeze, you get to restart the app 4-5 times and it will still not work. This is followed by restarting the device of your choosing to 2-3 times - still no luck. The cool thing is that you get to miss out on the information that you waited to here over and over. However, the silver lining is that it never seems to crash during commercials. If you like watching commercials on-the-go, then the Sling TV app is for you.

Irritating from the the onset.. I really can’t fully express how irritated I am when I reach for my ipad or telephone to watch something only to learn that there is an update and there isn’t an option to update at another time which would work for me. Nope, when Sling pops up with a notification of an update there is no way around it. I can’t use the app until I well and truly abandon my plans to watch what I planned to taking orders from this app. I’ve only subscribed to Sling for a couple of months and these update challenges happen regularly. If there is a way to bypass this annoyance please let me know. I’ve been on the fence about keeping this app as it is. I could do without the aggravation.

Great service, get another device. Sling TV in itself is a good cable alternative because you get what you want for the price you want to pay. I have had hardly any complaints about their service in itself. I pay $35 a month for all the sports I ever watch, which is just about unbeatable. However, the connection using the app is abysmal. The first couple months I streamed everything through my google chromecast but then it started glitching out after about 2 months. It was unwatchable and Sling’s average customer service reps had no good solutions for me. The right answer after discovering I was not the only one having this issue is that sling does not stream well using that type of device. I bought a Roku stick and the difference in performance as well as picture is night and day. So that’s why I say this app in itself is below average at best but when utilizing the proper platform, sling is an affordable service very much worth considering.

Regarding My Satisfaction with SLING TV,,,. I really like Sling TV, but I am unable to acquire the basic TV Channels of ABC NBC CBS CNN FOXNEWS, etc. But, I was wrong. This Sling TV app, was suggested to me from an employee at Best Buy’s Electronics Dept., & that I would be satisfied with this app. Well, I can get channels that I always enjoyed on cable TV, prior to my moving, but those channels were ALL of the Hallmark Channels, HGTV, DIY, Food Network, and others that I enjoy. But I am unable to acquire the major networks, and FOXNEWS Channel. Once I get to my sister’s, until I actually find where I will eventually relocate.....she has no televisions in her home. Therefore, the service of this SLING TV, will not really meet my needs. I may very possibly be searching for another TV APP, hat will provide me with more of what my needs really are. Otherwise, the channels that are on SLING TV, are OK....but not sufficient for all that I’m needing.

Enough already. The commercials have always been ridiculous, but I’m in the middle of the most outrageous experience. I’ve been trying to load a show for 62 minutes now and have watched nothing but commercials, followed by various loading errors. I’m glad the “streaming errors” and my internet issues somehow don’t extend to your ads, I’m able to watch a wide array of high quality advertisements with no problems (except the occasional glitch where it will load 2x in a row because ad timer is broken ☺️ again, thanks Sling.) Add a feature where it won’t force you to watch another ad if you have seen one in the last 30-60 seconds. This might be an isolated incident but seriously, ENOUGH WITH THE COMMERCIALS. They’re shoved down our throat enough as it is. Especially if you encounter errors that kick you out of your show randomly and you want to try and resume, expect to watch atleast 4-5 minutes of commercials if you want to get back to your spot.

Good service. I’m coming from the spectrum world and I like sling. I don’t care for local channels anyway anymore. I use one local tv station app for news and weather. They stream their news cast on it. Network tv blows anyway. I really don’t miss it. Sling is a good value. I was paying $200 a month at spectrum for cable and internet. Now I pay $150 and I’m getting faster speed Internet with google fiber and more channels on sling. Sling is the best TV streaming service out there right now. And cheaper and a great value. If you are thinking of cutting the cord from cable then get sling and see for yourself. Best part you can watch tv anywhere on your phone.
