As Expected. It’s basically functional but the user experience is poor. I feel like I need to rest after using it. I wonder how much it cost taxpayers to repackage their bad website.

Good start to a great app. I use this often. Keeping up with regulations can be tricky to say the least and This app makes it easier to access. Updating and purchasing licenses is easy. Would like to see downloadable regulations. Also the WMA brochures only open the first page and cannot view the rest of the pdf. Please fix this. This is important for quick reference while hunting. I use fishing regulations as well. Would like to be able to save the PDFs to my phone so they can be organized and viewed in the native apple app and printed through AirPrint. Please update often and keep up the good work.

Total garbage as of now. Can't print permits. Only shows hunt numbers and not wma names. Dates of hunts are incorrect. Old system was much better. Why would you make a change during hunting season that does not work. As stated in previous review should have been fully functional before release. Fl is making harder to hunt public lands and obtain permits. Should be able to see license and permit detail and print your quota permit from there. Similar to old system. The web site is also functioning the same as the app. The app is basically just a shortcut to the online site. This new update also caused hunters to miss a week of applying for reissue permits. Very aggrevating all the way around.

Florida hunter. Still Not showing my quota’s and not a detail of My hunting license! Maybe they will fix the bugs very soon! Old Version was much better!! The FWC webpage is not working right also!!!! It all needed to be fix before they issue the APP!!

Great features!. Sunrise and moon info by location is awesome. I use it all the time, even outside for Florida. The tides and seas are also useful.

Sunrise / Sunset times. Sunrise / Sunset times off by one hour. Instead of using your current location, you have to input your location every time the sunrise / sunset tab is opened, even if you leave it to go to feeding times, for example, and immediately come back to it. It would be nice if the user’s current location is used as the default, and if you wanted times for a different location then change it.

One Major Flaw!. This is great for license convenience!!! Most of the other functions work well and are very useful. However, the sunrise and sunset feature has a major flaw in my opinion. Please add a feature to allow us to choose a location for sunrise and sunset!!!! The problem is that you have to have your "Location Services" on to find out what time the sunrise or sunset is. Most of the time, I'm trying to find this information for another location!!!! I'm not hunting or fishing in my house or at work!!!! I'm going to travel to another part of the state and I need to know what time the sunrise is at THAT location!!!! Florida and Georgia use basically the same app, so hopefully a change to one would carry over to the other app. I live in Florida, but I'm going to Georgia tonight and I need to know what time the sunrise will be in north Georgia tomorrow!!!! Others may be flying in to South Florida for a fishing trip and want to know what time the sunrise and sunset will be...

Needs a lot of work to be. The best thing about it is that it syncs your permit. Other than that it is no better than the Notes app + a clunky browser. To be a useful app it needs to at least get: the ability for full account management, purchase/upgrade/renew permits, wallet support, and offline mode (who has service in the middle of nowhere?)

New update. Received notification that new update was available. Still no access to limited entry or quota hunt shown in app thatold version had. Very disappointed with app and the functionality it currently has.

Georgia Boy. So I live in Georgia and have the Georgia version of this same app. and it great. So what happened? I would call this app garbage but I don’t want to disrespect garbage. Other than helping with getting a license what is it for. There are other places you can get rules and regulations, I did. Get help with the whole thing and make sure the developers at least like what they do.

Ok now. I had trouble buying my license with this app at first, but finally figured it out. The roll down menu confused me. You need to touch the words on the menu itself to enter. I was looking for a separate button. Once I got past this, it worked fine.

Used to be good until v3.4.1. This app used to be great and simple to use! I used it all the time but now its junk ever since version 3.4.1 like a year now it does not load pages and gets stuck loading. whatever y’all did, take it off and this will fix itself P.s I give 2 star because this app used to be so great and I reminisce on those times I can check the tides that easy, without going on internet or maybe I want to see the sunrise that day ... .. . Meh .. Anyways y’all have a good one

Total garbage. Would give it negative stars if I could. App is nothing more than a clumsy browser which interacts with the main FWC website, which is also garbage. Nothing in the app you can’t access from Safari. Worse, I tried creating an account for my minor child, and it tells me they are a non-resident, despite having the same address that I do. This cannot be edited via the app or the website. And I cannot purchase a resident fishing license for them now. And also cannot create a different account for them because it requires social security number (another security risk). The whole enterprise is a piece of crap.

Great app.. BUT..... Excellent app that I use, while fishing, for accessing licensing information and records, as well as tide and seas information. However, many features are not accessible when you are offshore, fishing, in an area without cellular coverage. So, when you're out in the reef, you do not have access to fish ID pictures from the linked fishing handbook, license information and size/quota information. These would be very convenient to have actually downloaded into a user's phone, for offshore retrieval. Additionally, the app would benefit greatly by having a fish identification library with large photos, rather than only relying on the small bitmaps in the linked regulation pamphlets...

Unable to retrieve my license. It only worked once for couple of weeks! But then it shows of what some people were complaining about... It would’ve been great if it retains my license using this app. Going back to the old classic way by printing a hard copy is more reliable than this app.

Not working.. App is great when working properly. Won’t recognize me as a fl resident I’m not the only one either. I hope people are not getting ripped off and not checking.

Shockingly useful. This app is so handy. Haven’t had any issues with a single of its features.

Fire the Developer. I have never had such a confusing experience to simply register for a government license. I do UX for a living and it took me almost 1 hour to figure out how to signup for a fishing license. The form fields are messed up and defaults to International users. This is for FL residents you dumbies!

MEH. Nice that you can have your fishing license available. Good boating regulation info, but not being able to locate a boat ramp is ridiculous! When I try to access "Find a boat ramp" it says, "the virtual display does not allow content to be displayed." Then why have the selection? Total waste! Really? I hope they can fix this and make it usable!

Fishing License Plus. I love this app. The biggest thing for me is the ability to sync your most up to date licenses through FWC. No longer have to worry about bringing that flimsy fishing license receipt with you on the boat. Just show the cop the app!

So far so good!. So far it’s working as advertised. I was able to purchase a saltwater fishing license using it. I like the layout which is easy to navigate and all of the helpful information it contains.

Good for lincense, but not much else.... I am not sure why FCW decided to completely rework it’s website, but it the new version has never been overly user friendly, and given that this app is just a portal to the website, it is understandable that the app is just as frustrating as the main site. I do really like being able to sync my license and quotas on the app - I have always thought that was a great feature, but my goodness FWC, clear everything else up.

Very Poor Development. FWC new app is useless! Navigating this new app isn’t what you would expect and finding information is very annoying and it becomes necessary to stop and open your browser and go to the website in order to get the information needed. This app should have allowed for better access than this piece of Ill designed garbage does.

Great app. I use the feeding time tool every time I go out fishing. It does seem to have pretty good accuracy on when the fish are feeding. I don’t quite understand what the stars are for, maybe perhaps the quality of the fishing day? But I really do enjoy using this app.

PDF trouble. Lately the app hasn’t been loading any of the pdf’s for any of the wma. Which is making it hard to find the information on the go.

Cant select any of the limited entry permits. App has lots of great and easy features but I’m trying to apply for an alligator tag and it won’t let me scroll down past the Falcon tag on the app or website. Might work on computer but pretty inconvenient when trying to get it done quickly on the mobile app.

Cannot add license. The app won’t allow me to put in my birthday. It always redirects the date back to the current date or today’s date. Please make it where we can type the date manually. Update: Now I get it. You have to change the year first and then put in month and day.

App no longer displays my current license/s.. Used to to display my current fishing licenses. No longer does. Only gives the option to add family members or others. Ridiculous.

Doesn’t work anymore. Ever since the last update the app is broken. What’s the point of an app to view your license when you can’t view it. My wife can’t view her license on her phone either. Why pay a convenience fee when there isn’t any convenience. Going back to buying from Walmart instead of a broken app.

Great app, add digital pass option!. This is a great app that has been super useful to me, the only thing I could recommend is a digital wallet feature! It would be much easier to pull up your pass and have easy access to it! Overall a great app, very happy with it

Lost some features?. Updated the app and lost the noaa sea state and tides information, Or were these removed? Edit: I guess I had a older verison as when I would go To toolbox at the time it would just open a fwc webpage. Now it actually has selectable actions when going to toolbox. Definitely change rating to solid 4-5 stars!

Can’t Sync quota hunts. The app will display my license, but won’t sync my quota hunts. This used to work and is very useful when being checked by FWC officers. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled multiple times. Can we get this fixed? Update: this issue has been resolved with a new version of the app, all working now. Thank you.

Tide reports will not load. Since the update the tide reports will not load, which is unfortunate because I downloaded this app to use specifically that function. When it worked it was great but now it isn’t.

Won’t let you change birthday. I had to change my license and when I went to add my new license it will not let you change the dates on the date scroll to search. It defaults to todays date!

Need to support older IPhones. I tried to contact App support through this page and it did not work. App developers need to test app before updating. I tried to renew my license on my IPhone 6.0 and couldn’t because it requires IOS 13.0. Apple doesn’t allow many older IPhones to update to the latest IOS. If you want people to use an App for fishing and hunting licenses and then show them to law enforcement when asked, you must support older phones. I have bought the plastic license card because the State of Florida has people that are not doing their jobs to the best of their ability.

Good idea, poor execution. I like being able to apply for re-issues and having my licenses in one place but I HATE having to log in every time I use the app. Entering my social or DL number each time is annoying.

Toolbox Needs Updating. I have found the “Toolbox” needs updating. Specifically the tides section. The tides are way off. Yesterday the Toolbox section said high tide 10:33am when in fact NOAA website said 12:15pm for Lake Worth Pier. NOAA was correct not Toolbox.

Meh. The app works great on iPhone, barely functional on iPad. Crashes constantly every time I change the dates on the tide predictions on iPad.

Great usage and potential, fix text bugs. Love having my license stored. I wish there was an offline mode to store a recent copy of fishing regulations, etc.. Also when the app pulls data from the website some pages do not display correctly. (I’m on iphone 6+ running ios 11.2.6 for bug reporting purposes) After looking through other reviews for this app, one mentioning formatting errors from 3 years ago. It would be nice to see this issue fixed as navigating fishing regulations is too difficult. Luckily there is the workaround with the ‘view full website’ button but at that point it’s much easier to just navigate the website from your own browser of choice and not from within the confines of the app window.

Violation Reporting. This app has good intentions and gives users a fast and efficient platform to report wildlife offenses. However, they desperately need to add an option to include photographic/videographic evidence. Otherwise, it makes the entire process pretty pointless. PLEASE FIX.

App doesn’t open, crashes. This app sounds like a great idea but it won’t open. Every time I open the app it crashes. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, and turned my phone off and on. It just doesn’t work.

One issue. I think this is a great app for anything marine life regarding fishing, hunting, lobstering, etc but I think there’s an issue with the identification of the salt water fish. Some of the saltwater fish have an identification picture but the others don’t. An example would be the black grouper. The black grouper has a picture of it so we know what it looks like when identifying it but the other grouper and some of the other fish don’t have a picture. How are we supposed to know what we caught? It’s important so we know what type it is to determine the regulations for them. Also there should be an improvement on the picture charts of the saltwater fish because the picture charts keep redirecting me to safari and then the FWC app redirects me to the homepage

Myfwc app. Please review your app I currently have a 5 year license & was logged in this app it continues to say I don’t have an account when I do have an account some one has hacked this also I want to renew my 5 year freshwater license i don’t need a snook or lobster permit somebody needs help creating a decent app of I can just go to Walmart

Fishing license. This app is terrible!! I just need to buy a fishing license and you bunch of money hungry punks put everything in my cart. Just go back to the way it was so I it is easy to purchase a license. It you cost my son $5 for a hard card that he did not want due to just trying to buy a fishing license before we got to the lake. Y’all need to tighten up or put it the way it was!!

Nice idea, but can’t load license. The idea is great, app seems good, but I can never load my license. I’ve tried cellular service, WiFi, deleting and reinstalling, but unfortunately can never get past the add license click.

App won’t launch. I have been using this app for two years and now all of a sudden it won’t launch from my iPhone 8 I even deleted and reloaded it still will not launch. All my other apps launch! Something is wrong somewhere!

Not able to purchase license on app. As of OCT 2023, not able to purchase hunting license through the app. When I click the “Add Another License” button, it asks for my last name, last four, etc. I enter all of that and it re-routes me back to previous page with the “Add Another License” button again… This is a major bug that needs to be fixed.

Buggy app. Buggy and poorly written/tested app. Basic features do not function. For example, I cannot view any of my licenses. I get “Unable to load image” errors. Trying the Sync function gives a nondescript message of “Error. Unable to sync your license.” Having to resort back to printed paper license

Don’t bother, use the website. 1) No advantage as far as I can tell. Just use the website. Not integrated with Apple Pay, wallet or anything else Apple. 2) Requiring full social security number for a fishing license is very irresponsible. Not a comment on the app itself, more the Florida process. 3) otherwise works fine.

Good start....but. Great idea and easy to download my license to my phone. However, biggest fail is that I cannot download the fishing licenses for the rest of my family. Defeats the purpose of the app since I have to carry all of their licenses with me or bring all of their phones when we go fishing (don't want them bringing their phones out on the water!). Like the title says, good start....but.

Very convenient. Great for purchasing licenses, it's the first mobile purchasing app that is actually easier than the desktop version...that I've used. This is a great app!

License doesn’t synch. I have removed and downloaded the app several times; however, it will not allow me to synch my license/profile. I select add and the app freezes.

Fishing License. I paid my fishing license online and I can’t pull it up on the app. I’m fishing this weekend too. 🤔🤔🤔

Social. The fact that the app requires your full social security number is alarming.

It works. Seems to do what it says it will do. There could be better info on tides and maps but there's other apps for that. No trouble finding my license info to add it. Does what it's supposed to do.

Cannot change residency status to buy in-state hunting license. Very frustrated with this issue.. I moved to Florida at the beginning of hunting season this year. At that time, I still did not have a Florida driver’s license, so I purchased a 10-day non resident hunting license. Now, a month later, I have a Florida driver’s license and am not able to change my residency status to buy a cheaper hunting license for the year. How is there no solution to this?

Unable to look up license. Better work around save PDF license to iBooks. Better than other option take a photo. Note when you open pdf email attachment tap screen and select open in iBooks. A digital copy will be saved in your iBooks library.

Pop up ads. Why am I getting constant pop up ads when using this app? It’s VERY annoying!

Not Good. The app is all web based and not mobile friendly. Really a pain to use and navigate.

Can’t get it to work. 1st it only listed out if state licenses. Waited a few weeks after calling and waiting forever. Some how it fixed it self, I thought. 2nd I try to get a fishing license and it says my address isn’t verified. How in the hell do I get it verified? I’ve lived in the same address in Florida for over 30 years and this can’t verify the address. I give up, I HATE THIS APP This is just set to stop people from getting a license.

Where is the app???. I downloaded the app on the Apple store. But a little icon doesn’t show up on my phone anywhere.

What's the point. The best feature on the app is the license feature. Now you can always have your license with you. When I first downloaded the app I kept getting an error message when trying to add my license. I've reloaded the app multiple times, and just gave up and waited for an update hoping it would fix this bug. Finally an update, but no fix what's the point of changing the way the app looks and not fixing any problems. Fire your developers they are wasting your money.

Errors. App just errors, “Unable to Sync Your License” so I can’t do anything with it.

Who’s paying what —not me. Don’t know what’s going on — I have not purchased anything from FWC last time I checked being over 65+did you hear me 65+ don’t anything from the state —nothing but my federal duck stamp because being 65+ does have it quirks

Stupid. Quick charts are not quick at all they are slow if they even open the developer is smoking crack

Trash. Had it for a month now and still won’t let me “add another license” it just crashes the app.

Difficult to use lots of flaws. Extremely hard to navigate and use. I cannot purchase a license to save my life.

App usage. Cannot get app to work half the time, also does not let me add any of my licenses so I can view them. Continually says cannot find customer info due to unable to connect with server. Dissatisfied!!!!!!

App stop working. App suddenly stop working will not generate feeding times for hunting or provide sunrise sunset times. Have removed and reinstalled several times.

Nov 2022 crashes. Latest version nov 22 crashes on open. You broke it. Wish I never updated.

This is what convenience looks like. This has been a wonderful addition to our outdoor activities ..all license can be bought and stored for fast upload when asked to show them . This is a game changer in our family's book !!! One happy Floridian Carrie Wiercioch

Terrible upgrade. This last upgrade is terrible. I have not been able to print or see my quota permits. Please fix it.

Grrrr....another well intended government digital initiative that underwhelmes. This app is so frustrating to use. Won’t accept addresses during purchase checkout.

Cannot create new customer. SSN is locked to 4 digits requires full for creation.

Works great on iPad mini. A good view into active licenses for the whole family. Allows updates to licenses through the app (not tried). Good spot to check tides, sun & moon times, feeding times, regulations for hunting and fishing. Overall, a great tool that simplifies access to Florida's already well-done hunting and fishing information. Thanks, FL FWC!

Rules on the go. Now there is no reason for people to not know what the bag limit or size slots are. Everyone has a phone now days. Now put it to some great use. This app is the best thing to come along for anglers an hunters in a long time .... GREAT JOB FWC

So confusing. Easy to get to a license but with all the special permits you have to add is confusing. No need for all this BS. My reef fishing (free permit) expired long before my saltwater license. So how the hell do I update the reef license or scallop license without repurchasing a whole new fishing license??? Make it simple!!!

It works pretty well, but needs a little more work.. I like that it holds your fishing license, and you can purchase a license if you buy them every year like some people probably do. It's a little buggy, my license took a little while to add due to errors, takes a little time to load pages (I have fast internet too), the regulations for saltwater fishing need to be fixed. Meaning your coder needs to make it visible on the iPhone 6+ full width. I can't see the full width of the regulations so I can guess the aggregate rules for a snapper, but it doesn't display 100% width. So I miss the whole right side of your charts. Please fix this. I'm going to use this purely for 2 reasons. 1. To hold my fishing license 2. To look at regulations when I'm out fishing. (This part I think needs the most work, but it won't be very hard to fix) Ideas: 1. Add real pictures of saltwater fish instead of all illustrated images helps to identify fish better for more recreational fisherman. 2. Add a feature where we can upload a fish picture for rare or unusual species identification.

Great new look but found 1 issue. The previous version allowed its users to store a local copy of their licenses on the phone. With this update it doesn't appear to be an option or available can you tell me if this is something you did intentionally or missed? The app is requiring an internet connection anytime I try and bring up my licenses in the field. This creates an issue for sportsman like myself when we're in local WMAs that do not have cellular signal and have to produce a license for an officer. Previously we could just show the officer our license right on our phones. Some officers were even impressed this was a feature and it was super convenient since we all have our phones on us for pictures etc while hunting or fishing even in remote areas. Thanks

Horrible!. I just painfully purchased 5 licenses for my family. I had to redo the order 6 times before I finally got it to work. Let that sink in. This app is horrible if you have a big family and can’t legally fish. I think we’re the only one’s with licenses. After more than an hour, still no licenses in my email. I can’t fish after all this trouble.

Regulation pages do not work on iPhone... Regulation html pages is set to not zoom out on mobile devices. That makes them useless. The license view is good, but I highly suspect it is going to push a notification of it's imminent expiration date... Please use our tax money to do something useful for once and make this a better app than just an html webpage viewer that does not work.

Can display license. Try to add a purchased license but it doesn’t work. App is pointless without ability to store license to show when requested. Please advise a fix.

Gave wrong liscense.. Ordered a saltwater licese(as did my brother and father) and each one of us received a freshwater license. Called and got it fixed but needs to be fixed.

One problem that needs to be addressed.. I’m not saying this is the only problem with the app but it makes using the app worse than just going to the website. When you look up regulations for fish the tables that give the breakdown on types of fish and their size regulations it is impossible to scroll the screen to get all the information. I would really like to be able to see the full regulation table in the app. Like I said not the only problem but it is the one that is most glaring from the way I use it.

Help. Keeps saying unable to load image. How can I show warden my shark permit when it’s on my phone and app won’t show it?

Needs lots of improvement. Seems like it's probably just a copy of a website. I agree with another reviewer on true comment about not being able to scroll/resize the regulations. What's the point if you can't view a the info? I'd also prefer if the species list had a photo next to the species name for quick ID. Being new to FL species, I want to use this guide to help me learn & identify species. I really don't want to click links of names for several species in order to see photos so I'll be able to figure out what I caught.

Not working on IOS 16.1. App will not open on IOS 16.1. Restarted phone and deleted and reinstalled app. Please help

Love the App. I absolutely love this app. I constantly use it for many different reasons with zero issues. I have ordered and renewed hunting and fishing licenses with this app with also zero issues. Would recommend it to anybody who has common sense and would use this app.
