Extremely glitchy. When you start on the app you will feel this is a really good app. But it’s tedious and glitchy all the time. I just went in and cleaned duplicate entries (that the app has randomly created) in almost all spending categories. It also doesn’t allow to select only one bank account if you have more than one account with the same bank. I have a business and personal account with the same bank and it pulls in all my business expenses, which I have to then manually delete. It also says synced in last 2 seconds but you will not see the recent transactions until you have refreshed at least 5 times. Overall the categorization and views are simple and easy. If everything were to work as designed this can be a great app, simple to use and track expenses. Not sure how long I will continue with the app though if the bugs are not fixed.

Perfect for those who don’t want to give bank account info. This is exactly what I was looking for! Every other budget app I looked at requires you to give extremely sensitive personal information like your bank and credit card account numbers. No thanks. I don’t need the app to automatically log bank activity. That’s part of what I want to do myself. Adding in each expense or credit manually adds an extra layer of awareness about what I purchase and how often. I love that this app provides just that. I’m a graphic/digital designer, so from a fellow designer’s perspective, I think your graphics and interface are GORGEOUS. Very well done! I love how customizable everything is. I haven’t found anything I dislike. I told myself if I use the app consistently for a month, then I can upgrade to premium. I definitely need those extra categories lol. I will update my review if I have any suggestions. Great app!!

I’ve been looking for an app like this for a long time!. It does EXACTLY what I want except… I wish the rollover (which is a feature you don’t have to use if you don’t want to!) was by category so that I can “save up” in certain categories almost like a savings account. For example, I want to have a budget of $50 for gifts that would rollover to the next period so I have $100 the next period. This would help for things like birthdays and holidays! Also the transferring money between accounts is bit confusing. For example, I used a credit card to pay for several things, then eventually I’ll use the money in my checking to pay the card. This can be done as a transfer between accounts, but a transfer requires a category (when all the transactions have already been accounted for in their respective categories!) Maybe an option set as “paying off a card” that doesn’t affect the budget itself? Because it’s not existing debt, but debt accumulated that period. Am I making sense? 😂😅 Regardless, I love this app and even if I have to do something manually, it’s superior to other apps, and the free version is not limiting at all! I’m considering upgrading to the paid version.

It’s great! Some suggestions.. I really enjoy this app. I have tried YNAB, Every Dollar, Mint and even more and this is by far the best! It would be nice to have the ability to “split” a transaction. For instance, while at the grocery store I may purchase some items that belong to other categories that do not belong in “groceries”. It would be nice if I can enter the total amount and from there apply how much goes where. As it stands I have to look at the receipt and input multiple transactions which can get messy if I do this multiple times in one month and have to look back and compare transactions with my bank account. Also, I wish there was a website that would, at the very least, let you look at your budget and see the transactions that have been made. These are minor things though. Like I said, I enjoy this app and plan on using it for a while!

Cannot Replace Mint. I tried this app because Mint is shutting down. You can sync your banks and track budgets. All that works. The part that I could not get it to work like I wanted was stuff like recurring payments. It does not breakdown the total amount across the year like Mint does. It just places it on the month that you have to pay it. It’s also not as smart as mint is to deal with credit card payments. It does not learn from transaction categories as you change them to what you want. It required me to go in a manually make too many changes. It just was not for me unfortunately. I might come back in the future but right now it’s not an app I would use.

Used to be great. I’ve been a subscriber for at least 4 years & in the last couple months it’s been declining. First at the beginning of may, all my data on this app was wiped. Had to start fresh & no one answered my email about it. Not happy. And now it won’t stay connected to my bank. It’s already connected but says I need to reconnect. So i do & it gets stuck on the “redirecting” page at the end. Super frustrating. I don’t even care about it being connected to my bank, it is nice to have but I’ve used this app for years without it. But I go to disconnect since it says it’s not really connected anyway & it just stalls. I think I’m about done with this app.

Perfect in its simplicity. My last budget app put ALL of its most useful features behind a paywall a few months ago, sending me on the hunt yet again for the right one for me. It was hard to find one the first time, so I dreaded doing it again. It took me a bit of research and a lot of trial and error to find Buddy, and I only wish I’d found it sooner. I’ve tried so many only to uninstall them within days. After using Buddy for 3 full months now, I hope it’s the last one I’ll ever need. Here’s a bit about what I look for in a budget app, since it’s kinda personal and everyone’s preferences are different. - I don’t like linking my accounts directly (call me old fashioned), so any app that REQUIRES that is out. I prefer having more manual control over my transactions and categorizations. - Custom line items are a must have. - I’m very visual, so I love color-coded pie charts to help me see where my money goes. Also, app user experience design is important to me. Buddy has all of these baseline requirements and then some I didn’t know I needed. Completely custom nameable categories, editable colors and icons, recurring monthly transactions (so I can still benefit from some time saving automation without linking it to my actual card), and more. I wanted to write a review in case it saves anyone else the time and headache I went through— try this one! And to the team at Buddy, thank you for keeping it simple and developing exactly what I need.

The Perfect Manual Budgeting App!!!!. I have been struggling to find a good budgeting method for a long time, as I have had my budget worked out in a spreadsheet, but previously had no convenient way to track it. Other account-linked budgeting apps like Mint just don’t process the transactions the way I would like and it ends up being more work to try to maintain it than it would be to do it manually — and even then it still wasn’t totally correct. With Buddy I have been able to exactly translate my budget into it and I am so pleased with all the customization options (even in the free version!). I love that I can schedule recurring payments and choose to account for them in advance so that I know how much I actually have left for discretionary spending. After using for 2 weeks this has already helped me to be more engaged with my day to day spending and stay on track! I could not have designed the features better myself. Thank you!!!!!

Almost amazing. I really like being able to add in all my expenses and my income and to see where my money is really going but the thing that is really stumping me is why my expenses on the overview are different from my total spent on the budget tab. It’s making how much I have I left to spend inaccurate. It shows I have a certain amount left to spend yet it doesn’t add up to either the expenses or the total spent so I’m hoping writing this review will get me some help! I really enjoy the app but I can’t continue to use it if it’s not going to be accurate and only going to confuse me

Great Budget App!. Love this app and use it for tracking all me and my wife’s expenses and income! Super easy to use and a great UI as well. This review coming from another developer, great job and keep up the good work! One issue that I have seen recently and hope to get addressed is with the widgets. I have added the 2x4 widget with shortcuts to create a new entry to my home screen and when I select an option to create a new entry from it, the appropriate screen shows up but them dismisses immediately and says a message like “Ops! Couldn’t join that group, please try again or contact us through tools.”

Hopeful. My search for a budget/spending app continues. The graphics on this one are about the best I’ve seen, easy to interpret. Seems it would keep just the right amount of data for those of us don’t want to link to bank accounts and credit lines. I know what’s in my checking account. What I want to know is where my money is going and where I could most comfortably save money. My problem with this app is with the user interface. I simply could not get it to let me add a new category to the budget section. And I am not sure why the categories in spending and budgeting are different. These should be the same and linked. Also I should be able to click through on a nonbudgeted item and move it to a budget category. And every time I set up a new category for spending, I should immediately be able to attach it to a budgeted category/amount. I will keep an eye on upgrades to this app if I don’t find the right thing soon because I see the potential. Just not there for me yet.

Amazing App. I have used a lot of apps but this is my first review. I’m writing this review for 2 reasons. The first, kudos to the developer for creating such a practical, functional and aesthetically appealing application. It gets the work done and makes things look minimal and cool. The second reason being the two things I would seriously request for this to become my all time favorite app. The first, support for using multiple currencies. I travel a lot, and live in multiple countries and I am stuck with a budget that just covers my home country for now. The other thing I would request is extensive support for savings/investment where I can create entries of money investment in different streams and their current value/income. All in all, super work!

New feature request!. Can the scheduled transactions be listed chronologically from soonest date to latest? I don’t care for it beginning with the latest. Just nitpicking. Thanks for a great app! Love it! I was using Mobills before now and I lost the Premium accessibility from my employer. That said, I appreciate the Unlimited/Lifetime subscription you offer. Because it’s hard to consider investing in a budgeting app that only offers a monthly subscription, it’s difficult for many.

Super slow sync. It’s almost what I need but has a lot of flaws . You have to group loans in order for it to track multiple . I kept trying to add my second car loan but it kept changing the first one I put in. They come out of our bank at different times and I want them segregated . The sync is 72 hours off and when it does sync it’s posted on the wrong day . It’s showing last Thursday stuff for Wednesday and nothing after that … today is Monday . Some stuff comes over some stuff doesn’t . It’s just to slow i need to know how much money I have in the moment and with this it isnt feasible due to the delay and missing transactions.

Cute budget app. This is a nice budgeting app that’s pretty easy to use and is helping me keep on top of my expenses. I like that it’s visually attractive. I’m still trying to really figure it out but so far I like it. Keeps me accountable! I’m mostly using the app to try to get my spending under control. I wish the “create budget” feature would show you if your budget is actually equal to your income. I still need to add up all my future spending limits by hand to see if my budget is going to be balanced for the next month. It has a “projected spending” number but that’s only for fixed expenses. Other than this I think it’s good.

Best budget app EVER!. This is hands down by far the best and most productive app I’ve ever used on the iPhone! Just to be clear, I’ve never wrote a review for any app I’ve ever used since I got an iPhone back in 2011. My wife and I have tried saving and budgeting, I’ve tried mint ive tried rocket I’ve tried the spending app I’ve tried envelope, all of them have their own pros and cons. But when I found this app, I have yet to see any cons! I love that you can either connect you accounts to the app, or type in all the transactions manually. I personally like to type them in manually but everyone’s different, I also love how it allows you to set your budget and you can name everything individually with their own icons and with their own colors. I color coordinate all my bills and food and budget, it cost 24 dollars for the whole year and it is WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY! My wife and I have been able to save and account for every penny, our spending is under control and I love how it has changed our lives financially. If anyone is looking for an app to either track your transactions or set a budget this is hands down the best one there is!!

Developer does not provide support. I downloaded this app on my iPad and signed in using a regular email. Purchased the premium, then downloaded it on my iPhone and tried to sync my purchase. Nothing. No option to reset password so I read up on it and it states to email support to reset password. I sent two emails and it’s been over a week and a half, no reply from them at all. I do not recommend this for anyone who may have an issue in the future because of this is any indication to their support, it’s non existent. I am filing a claim with Apple with proof of my sent emails with no replies to help me sync my two devices, and possibly even going to contact Discover to charge back on it. I don’t mind paying for anything, but when there’s no assistance when a customer has an issue, I don’t think that company should be allowed to continue to be on this platform. Total rip-off. Bad business. There really are better apps out there with amazing support from the developer, don’t waste your money on this one. It’s all good until you have an issue…. Note to the developer: please don’t bother replying to this review with any fake attempts to finally help. You could’ve done that to the email I sent about two weeks ago.

Great way to manage your money!. If you’re looking for a budget app that connects to your bank accounts, there’s tons of them out there! Buddy isn’t meant to be used that way and I LOVE that about it. If you have fixed expenses, you’re able to set those up on a recurring basis. Being able to manually input transactions is also ideal for those who want to stay on top of their expenses as they’re made. If you’re not a fan, you can always schedule transactions ahead of time too! I used to use the Daily Budget App, but I honestly enjoy the UI of Buddy so much better that I can see myself using it more. 👌🏼

Clean & Easy to Use. As much as I desperately want my finances to be totally automated and never have to think about them, I am just set up for failure without intentionally checking in and logging expenses throughout the month, especially when operating a shared budget with a spouse. It just gets out of control more quickly than I’d like to admit. This app is extremely clean and user friendly, and easy to share with another user to add expenses. I have tried what feels like all of them, and of course I would love if it were free but I have not found a better one yet.

Too many bugs. I did a trial and loved the look and simplicity of this app after trying many different apps out there. Loved it so much that I purchased the annual subscription. After a few weeks it was apparent that the application is way too young to be out in production or charging for use so buyers beware. Now that I go back and read through some of the low rated reviews, I should have paid more attention. Lots of bugs, response time of support team is very slow and when something can’t be fixed they don’t seem to respond until you reach out multiple times. I asked for a refund since it’s not an app that I can rely on but now am having to go through Apple which doesn’t allow me to even select to request a refund. Very disappointing.

Needs improvements. This app needs many improvements. 1. When I return an item to a store, the only way to indicate that is through income. That’s the only way to add money into your account. But that inaccurately makes your income to expense ratio different because it looks like I’m making more income than I’m actually making. 2. All my transactions are lining up with my bank account, yet my balance is ALWAYS lower in Buddy, by a few hundred sometimes. 3. In order to “finish setting up my account” (I purchased premium unlimited) I have to add another user. I’m a single household. 4. When I try to pull up the calendar when adding an expense at a later time than the day I made the transaction, the app won’t allow me to select the date I want. So I end up having to hit the back or forward errors until I get to the date I want to use. I only purchased the app because I knew others who were using it (although they didn’t recommend it). Had I known all these inconveniences, I would have just kept Mint. It’s free and I’m my opinion, much more convenient on how it allows you to sync all your accounts and see real time balances and transactions.

Do not buy! Zero communication from developer, who took $50 without providing services!!. This app at first seemed great, exactly what my wife and I had been looking for in an expense tracker. It worked well for the first few days, so we signed up for the annual $50 subscription. A week later the apps on each of our phones were no longer syncing. We tried our own troubleshooting without any affect. We reached out to the developer and haven’t heard a word. This app is MASSIVELY bugged. We spent a significant amount of time setting up a sizable budget on the app, but now we have no way at all of even accessing our previous accounts with that data. I tried to sign up for the seven day free trial of the premium features, which my wife had previously done, and was immediately charged the $50, same day, without any access at all to the premium features. This app is a borderline scam and should be removed from the App Store. We are in the process of getting refunds with Apple, for the $100 we wasted on this. Stay away! A sheet of paper and keeping a stack of receipts is better than this!

Bank connection doesn’t work, hard to contact. I LOVE the design and functionality of the app. It’s super clean and functional, and is the only app I’ve found that allows you to connect your bank accounts AND budget bi-weekly - and if your paid bi-weekly, you understand how hard it is to manage your budget using all those monthly apps out there. This combination makes this app an absolute win-win! Now for the negative; my particular bank (Cadence) is not connecting for some reason. Until this is fixed where I can download transactions from my bank, it’s pretty useless because I simply can’t take the time to manually enter transactions. I’ve gone through the “submit feedback” button in the app, but have not gotten a response back. And with only a 7 day free trial period, I can’t afford to just sit around and wait hoping they contact me, so I had to cancel my subscription for now. Overall - great app, just make sure your bank connection works. Buddy team, improving your responsiveness, including sending an email letting people know you’ve received their feedback and are looking into it, would help so I don’t feel like my question is just going into a black hole. I really hope the bank connection gets fixed with Cadence so I can use the app.

Just what I wanted!. It took going through about 10 other apps to finally find this one and I LOVE it. I tried the trial for premium and saw all the additional benefits including adding my loan information so each monthly transaction logged takes it off my loan account to keep track of how much I have paid off etc and how much to go on the graph - that’s what I’ve always wanted and same with adding to my retirement accounts, shows automatically how much I’m saving after I add a transaction - plus all my bills. I instantly paid for premium. Instead of 3 apps, I just use this one now and the interface is so easy and not confusing. It was definitely worth $99 for lifetime. Thank you!!

Almost the best replacement for MINT!. I’ve been testing Apps to replace Mint and have not been pleased with the free options (Empower and Piere), but I also hate subscription models, so I’ve narrowed it to the few that offer one-time purchase. Buddy is the most complete (with Wallet, PocketGuard and Spendee being the other similar Apps). Buddy is so close to being the complete package that I’m hopeful their developers will seize the opportunity to attract a huge following of “Mint Refugees” Buddy Pros: iPad App, iOS & Mac Apps!, Mint Import, Wise connects (but not great), manual cash transactions, nice monthly trends, One time purchase (find in iOS for $50), shared user, rollover budget Cons: no multi Currency (the Wise accounts all come through as the same currency!), no split transactions or transaction rules. The later two features should be a given for Expense Apps. The multi currency integration (like Wallet and Spendee) would be what puts Buddy ahead of all the others!

Best budget app created. I kept searching and searching for budget apps that would provide me with an easy way to view and keep track of my money that I work hard for. And, even though this app cost 4.99 per month, it’s work keeping the app and paying the fee because I could be spending a lot more not keeping track of my money. The features are clear, easy to understand, and of good quality. Love the colors and the ability to use a lot of different emoji’s. Great choice. My searching is complete!!

Hands down worst app. The reasoning behind this is a bad app is because these apps are suppose to help you save money and be very good in your finances. I have to spend money just to connect my bank? That stupid, I have to spend just to add more things so I can manage my savings? That is stupid. I found a way better app that does it he same thing, I can share my leager and they can still manage it. This app request so much money that you can use for food, drink, bills, etc. I don’t recommend this app at all. Due to the pricing and how much they offer is pretty ridiculous. “Oh we need to pay to stay on apple”. You will get more money from keeping it cheap and more understandable to spend. These app should teach you and help you manage your money not spend it on these apps. I found an app that I have to spend $8 for lifetime, but if you don’t get lifetime you still get 95% of what they offer. This app only allows like 45% what they offer and then you have to spend money to unlock 100% of it. This app is a scam and money waste.

Awesome Sauce!. After downloading and trying out many apps, this seems to be the best one for me. First and foremost, it does exactly what I need with a great looking UI and UX as a graphic designer myself. Contrary to what most other apps offer, I actually love the fact that it doesn't need to connect to a bank account to put in transactions! I think having to manually type every transaction keeps me more on top of my spending, and all it takes is a few extra seconds to input expenses. With that being said, I would love a widget where I could type things in on the go since I don't always save receipts etc. for later input (yay environment). Another thing i love is how easily one can add unforeseen income that doesn't affect total monthly salary! Totally awesome app, and I pretty much wouldn't change anything about it!

Great but Subscription Based. I’ve been trying to find a decent budgeting app to help me track all my expenses across all accounts. I tried Mint for a few weeks and didn’t really like the UI—it felt disorganized and too cluttered for me. I downloaded Buddy and was happily surprised by how easy it was to navigate and the intuitiveness of adding and categorizing expenses. The only downside is the fact that I can’t connect any of my accounts without paying a subscription fee. I understand it, but at the same time, it’s just a bit irksome. Mint allowed me to integrate all my banking-related apps (PayPal, Venmo, banking account, etc) without having to pay anything. If Buddy ever goes subscription-free, or even changes to a one-time purchase, I will likely return and use it. But until then, I’ll continue my search for something else that fits my needs. But if you’re willing to pay to access this feature, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this app.

Very Practical. I have been using the Buddy App for over a year now. I purchased premium so that I could add additional categories to further customize the way I use the app. I absolutely love the fact that as you add expenses that’s amount is deducted from your overall balance. I can choose to create a monthly budget or weekly or biweekly which is absolutely great. I still haven’t been successful with the savings option because it does not decrease the dollar amount which it should when those funds are no longer available in your running balance. I would absolutely love if they Inter grate savings into the budget as well as credit card as it’s paid down. Overall this has been the simplest, non invasive, financial app that I have used. Keep up the great work!

Very helpful!. I normally don’t write reviews but I have literally tried several other budget apps that cost way more than this one and although this one doesn’t link your accounts I find that manually budgeting everything forces you to actually keep up with the app more and be more accountable with your purchases and more aware of how it’s actually affecting your budget. I’m trying to pay off debt and I feel like this app is actually incredibly user-friendly and not over-complicated in the setting up process. You have to do a little more leg work to manage your purchases, yes, but I feel like the benefits of this app outweigh that. Also, a lot of apps that do link your accounts automatically tend to categorize things incorrectly which( to me) means I actually have to go through and spend more time correcting it rather than just putting it in where it’s supposed to be( manually) and having it be a one-and-done type deal. Very helpful app overall!

Good App, Great Potential. I deleted the app as it wouldn’t import my daily transactions, which killed the functionality of the app. I would remove my bank and re-add it and it worked for a day but was unable to keep it synced. I acknowledge that my bank isn’t one of the “big” banks by any means, which may be part of the issue. I may check back later and try again this year. The app itself is well built and once you get the hang of it is easy to use and understand. If it would sync properly for me it would easily be a 5 star and I would have purchased the app outright.

Not bad, but not great either. I’ll start by saying that I lost all of my data—just gone. Somewhere between trying to create a new budget for next month and deciding to cancel my subscription, everything just disappeared without warning. I’m inclined to give the app the lowest rating possible for this sort of a thing. (If the app loses data, the app actually has negative value.) That being said, I feel the developer did a lot of things well. The app looks great, which was part of what made it stand out among the others. The feature set is decent, and I appreciate being able to do a biweekly budget, but in my opinion the $4.99/month subscription plan doesn’t really make sense. I’ve read the developer’s reasoning regarding it, but as a consumer I’ve got to say that it should probably be priced around $0.99 or $1.99. In conclusion, this app was almost good enough to keep me using it, but the $4.99 per month has me walking away, and the loss of data has me writing the review.

Great app! But so far very unreliable. I fell in love with this app as soon as I saw it. It is designed almost perfectly, its beautiful and very easy to use on a daily basis. Really loved it!! Unfortunately it has proven over and over again to be extremely unreliable. All of a sudden a category will disappear, making me lose all my data for that category. Things get randomly moved around. Numbers change on their own. Its become extremely frustrating! I don't want to leave the app because i like it so much, and I don't like any of the other ones as much as I do this one. But as much as I like it, if I cant rely on it for my data to be as its supposed to, the whole thing is useless. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! So we can enjoy this amazing app you’ve created.

Yay!. I downloaded literally every budget app and found this one to be the absolute best so far. I love the visualization of my budget and how pretty each category looks. I also love that it shows a daily budget and allows me to put in expenses and income I’m anticipating ahead of time. I tried some apps that link to my bank account, but I like this better. It causes me to think more about what I’m spending beforehand, instead of looking at my poor spending habits after the fact. This app should be more popular! Amazing job.

Obsessed. I LOVE this app. Its super user friendly, modern and cute! I paid for the lifetime premium and I’m so happy I did. I love how you can change and customize different categories, make an unlimited amount of categories, can use emojis instead of the standard things provided, and I like the different colors you can choose from for your theme. Some things I don’t like is that you cannot change the order of the bills, I prefer to have my bills organized in terms of xyz bill $100, abc bill $200, efg bill $300, etc. But the system chooses the order for you. Its not a big deal but just kind of annoying to me. I also do not like how you cannot change the order of the sections. For example, mine defaults to Bills, Lifestyle and Savings. I’d prefer to be able to choose the order myself, again not a big deal but kind of annoying. Other than that, I’m very pleased with the app and love using it!

Great app! Easy to use.. I’m not the type to write reviews, but I have gotten my first job and would like to start making goals for myself and I’d like to know where I’m putting my money. With this app you can! Transactions can be scheduled with ease, the options are sensible and customizable. You can create several accounts and to be honest I don’t use the budgeting tab a lot, but there is so much you can do that is free to use… not having premium features has not limited me one bit. The features I like are: You can choose how often you get paid, helpful for budgeting. Make several accounts, checking, saving, and funds! Able to schedule automatic transfers/paychecks/expenses. It’s basically like a mock bank account which is extremely helpful to be able to manage it all in one place and see how things play out.

Best budget app!. I’m not kidding… I’ve tried other budgeting apps, like Mint, that try to do everything automatically for you. While these features are nice, they try to make you buy things and it isn’t always clear where your money is being spent. This app allows you to customize design your monthly budget, set goals for yourself in your savings account, and most importantly it helps you see where your money is going very easily in a beautiful app. While all the data you insert is manual, it makes you conscious of what you are spending and what accounts it’s coming from rather than other apps that just automatically read your accounts. So if you are going to Starbucks a lot, you will input it into the app and see that you have been there a little too many times and can cut back. It’s a very powerful tool. This app is flexible enough for those who are brand new to having a budget, teens and college students, to those with families and have complicated expenses. It can scale with you. Worth every bit of the 5/5 stars!

It’s decent. Update: after using this for almost a week I really don’t like it I’m taking off a star… when I upload all my current bank transactions it tells me my “updated current balance” and I go into my bank account just to double check the balance is correct on Buddy and it’s not… there’s no pending transactions these are transactions that have gone through and Buddy registers that and has all my transactions in my buddy account but for whatever reason it always tells me I have more than what I actually have in my bank…. The transactions also don’t go through on my budget categories… so I say I have $130 to use on my credit card bill… the transaction comes out and on my budget category it still says I have $130 left to spend this month. It just lags horribly and doesn’t stay up to date… I canceled and will be looking for a new app. It’s good, better than mint because you have more options but when I linked my bank account to make seeing my transactions and just overall budget easier it has some of my transactions actions listed twice and then it mixed up my credit card with my checking account so I had to go in and list my “credit” as “checking” on each transaction and then it doesn’t have an accurate checking balance even though it’s linked to my bank so that’s strange. I went in and manually put my current balance though… I’ll try it because I paid for the month so we’ll see if I like it or it grows on me.

Tried five. I’ve tried Mint YNAB Goodbudget and Truebill - and this is by far the best one. Definitely worth the lifetime premium. It’s the same cost as six months of You Need a Budget for unlimited premium features. I love how much control you have over the additions and set up. It really gives a clear picture of your situation. I’ve already gotten set up to get out of debt seven years early! I am very pleased with this purchase. Mint would be my second choice. Some might not like the manual input but it actually helps me to track my overall costs. Great for those with variable incomes and changing monthly costs. I don’t use the partner features, but it seems like an amazing feature as well. The manual aspect really allows you to do everything with your goals in mind. Highly recommend.

Great, but frustrated. I've been using this app for a year or so. I love the update that allows you to have different accounts to keep track where your spending is coming from. But the transfer function is messed up. Every time I go to enter my credit card payment, it adds the balance to my total money spent. That doesn't make sense because the transactions on my credit card have already been logged in the app. Nothing is changing as far as total money spent goes. It's just a rearrangement of my money. I'n trying to understand why transfers need to be in a category. They should have their own category that doesn't effect your total spent at all.

Best Budget App!!. A lot of people are complaining how confusing it is to customize but under the tools tab you can add different wallets, reoccurring expenses and personalize categories to what you want! I didn’t pay for the premium (you can cancel after the free trial) and still love it! I haven’t tried syncing it to my bank because that makes me uncomfortable so I just input my transactions every night and it’s been an eye opener!!! You can edit budgets (biweekly/monthly/annual) based on how you’re spending. I recommend it to everyone wanting to have a breakdown on their spending habits!

Great App in Theroy. We’ve been using this app for about 3 months. It’s very attractive. But.. It sync’s poorly between our devices. Does not auto populate previous entries. Will automatically make a bill paid based on the due date, not whether I manually selected it as paid. I feel like the Budget and Overview sections work against each other. The poor syncing and showing bills as being paid when they are not are making us leave the app. Those two problems have killed our budget. Just want an app my wife and I can see what each other are spending so we can manage our budget.

Best Budgeting App I’ve found. I tried probably close to a dozen budgeting apps/software out there. This has been the easiest to used and has really helped me with saving and managing my spending. I think it’s crucial to use a tool that isn’t so automated when it comes to budgeting apps. This is because making sure you log every purchase makes you much more aware of where your money is going. Anyway, there is a bit of a learning curve for using the app but this isn’t necessarily unique. Specifically, the “Accounts” tab is still taking some getting used to, and I’ve been using the app for about 3 weeks. Transferring money between accounts is still confusing actually. I am hoping for future updates for this product, because it has real potential. Most if not all drawbacks are really inconveniences. I have no large complaints that are keeping me from using it on a daily basis. Use this app, support the developer, and I hope it will get better and better.

Awesome for a manual budget. I spent a week looking for a great budget app, but everyone app I downloaded wanted me to connect my bank account and they budgeted the transactions automatically. Buddy is a awesome app for people who want to manually control their budget without having to deal with automatic settings (automatic budgeting never let me take into account money that was sent to me to pay for something for someone else) The interface of the app has a easily layout and has a perfect amount of personalization options. Buddy has plenty of preset options to choose from for your budget and for adding transactions, plus you can add your own transaction title with a icon and color choice. I highly recommend this app for people who like to be in complete control of their budget and manually entering their transactions.

Great App with One Complaint. I love how this app allows for multiple budgets and customer categories. I think the premium subscription is a good value and I think it is fantastic that the app has continuity between my iPhone and iPad. My only complaint is that there isn’t really keyboard support for iPad. When I am making changes to a budget or adding a transaction my changes are only saved if I use the on-screen keyboard instead of the Smart Keyboard attached to my iPad. If this got fixed it would be a five star app, no questions asked.

Great app, could be even better. I’ve been using this app for about a month and am enjoying it. There’s two things I would change to make it even better. 1) When charging against a savings account (meaning entering an expense that pulls from that account), do not decrease the amount I have remaining to spend for the month. All of my planned income and expenses are tied to my checking account. Therefore it is not logical to lower my amount available to spend based on a charge against a savings account (which is often used for unplanned emergencies). 2) On the ‘Remaining’ tab for budget, show the actual amount remaining in each category rather than Spent / Budgeted. I need to know at a glance how much I can spend in specific categories for the remainder of the pay period, rather than how much I’ve already spent. ‘Spent’ could be an additional budget tab if people would also like to know this amount. Otherwise, I have no complaints. It took a little while to get my Categories all set up, but once I did, adding transactions became a breeze. Highly recommend this app. With the above two changes, it easily gets 5 stars from me.

Best I’ve found!!. I tried out over 5 different budgeting apps before this one, and the Buddy budgeting app has just about all of the pros without any of the cons of the others. I love how organized, customizable, and colorful the app is. My only suggestion would be to add a calendar view in the transactions tab. I think being able to click on each day to see what was spent/earned would be a helpful tool. My other favorite app I tried was Dollarbird. I think Buddy is a better choice (and free!) but I did love that aspect of Dollarbird. I think adding the option for a calendar view where the “list, categories, and split” options are would make this app the best of the best! Overall, an awesome app!!

Great app! Just missing one thing. I really like this app. It’s simple, helps me plan my budget, and doesn’t force me to link it to my bank account. I would give it five stars, but the fact that it doesn’t have bill notifications is really disappointing. The most it does is send you one notification once a month reminding you to pay your bills. However, this is hardly helpful when my bills are spread out throughout the month. I would really like it if the developers added bill reminders for each individual bill where you can set the day/time for the reminder for each bill. If they added that, then this app would be perfect.

Exactly what i’ve been looking for!. I’m not the type to write reviews, but this app is everything you could want in a manual budgeting app. I previously used EveryDollar, but after their recent update I had to look for a new one. It took me over an hour to find this app do to it being at the bottom of the search, which is a shame. The subscription is cheap, the customization options are great and the U.I. Is easy to use. I would recommend to anyone looking to manually track their expenses without having to add a bank account. Awesome app!

New Update fail. The new look is not as clear as the previous layout. I use to enjoy adding my pay each week (as each week is different) then it would clearly show me how much money I have remaining after all my bills ect for the week. The update does not work for me, it was absolutely perfect the way it was! Giving 5 stars as it used to be the best budget app. I will now have to look for another app.

Great budgeting app. This is the best app I’ve used, definitely helps me keep on top of my incoming and outgoing expenses. Would love to see a feature where it totals the amount of scheduled transactions for the income cycle so it can be compared against the total income for that same cycle.

A lot of bugs, makes it unusable.. I’d really like to love this app and go premium. Unfortunately, there are a number of bugs - not sure if they’re bugs or If I’m doing it wrong. I’ve emailed and had no response so 🤷🏻‍♀️have to choice to assume they are bugs. 1/ the overview tab constantly says “we found nothing” despite being halfway through the month with plenty of submissions for expenses/income. 2/ recurring expenses make no sense. I’ve added a number of recurring exp. into my Tools > recurring transactions. However, when the time comes, it is not taken out of my budget. When I manually add the expense and I click on the button ‘recurring’ and then press okay, the manually added expense does not appear. If I add it in manually and then press okay without adding ‘recurring’ then it’s fine. Then if I go to edit it and do recurring, the submission disappears 🤷🏻‍♀️ and is taken out of my total budget. The values remain as though I never added it in. This means I have to painstakingly manually enter in every single purchase. Unusable.

Currency. I love the app especially the UI which looks neat and fun to tracking the transaction. I know I can set the currency for the ledger, but I couldn’t find a way to change the currency for each transaction. For example my ledger is in AUD and my expenses is in USD, I would like to record the transaction in USD and it shows the amount in AUD in the summary.

Can’t see transactions and recurring transaction doesn’t work. I’ve set up my monthly budget and added some transactions but nothing shows up in “Transaction” view. Have also set up recurring transactions but other months show no update. I don’t understand how others are saying this is the best app ever, cos this app isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do Suggested updates: - introduction tutorial will be nice as this app is difficult to use - fixed expense should be recurring automatically - selected categories should be pinned to “most recent” usage so it’s easier to find, as this app tracks the specific category

Great in theory…. So many glitches. Firstly, my husband bought the Premium version and added me to the budget he created. My account should reflect Premium as well according to what it says, but it doesn’t. I have tried restarting my phone but still nothing. Secondly, I have tried multiple times to enter the balance of our accounts but it keeps going back to $0 no matter how many times I try to re-enter or re-add it. Has so much potential but the app is unusable. We wasted a whole evening setting this up and it’s not even usable.

Awesome. Ok so it is a bit tricky to get the hang of in terms of delegating what money to where but i think ive got the hang of it and I love it. I purchased it so I could stay on top of a budget. Its a really good tool.

Amazing app. Wonderful app, it’s so hard find something like this. The app meet all my expectations, you can organize your finances very well with it. Really loving and for me the price is consistent with what it offers

Aesthetic and easy to use but lack of intergration.. Such a cool app and I’d love to use it but because it does allow connectivity to banks in Australia, adding each individual transaction is tedious and frustrating. Which is a shame because it’s the only budgeting app I’d consider using otherwise.

Great app, needs improvement in split function for a single person. Amazing user interface, simple, modern and easy to use. Love how it gives the freedom to design the categories to your liking, and really like how it’s divided into plan, remaining and the insights to remain on your budgeting path. One of the best budgeting tool out there, from all the numerous ones I’ve tried online, tried even writing it down manually lol. My only concern is when you become a premium member, when i want to split the expenses with another member, it displays all my budget. I only want to share one transaction to split as to share the expenses, not the whole thing. This split function could be useful for couples who has a joint bank account maybe and can see each other transactions. Also, eagerly waiting for the function to be available in Aus to sync with my bank account, so I don’t have to enter everything manually, but overall a great app…

Continuous list defeats the purpose of the app. This new update is killing me. The whole point of having a separate app to a bank app is to have categories and headings so everything can be grouped and seen easily. But with the new update the list of expenses isn’t grouped by months anymore, it is just a continuous painful list that doesn’t even start at Today because of recurring expenses. Really bad UX peeps! At least mark Today in a different colour. And do bring back the monthly groupings, this is pretty much the main reason I downloaded the app in the first place.

Stop. Find another app.. Sorry to say the customer service here is non-existent. If you do decide to use this app I genuinely hope you don’t have any issues with it. My experience hasn’t been great. After several messages to this company (as a premium paid subscriber) with zero response after weeks of waiting. I have requested a refund or even a partial refund … (insert chirping crickets here). So don’t expect your money back.

It's good but lacks functionality. I'm a nomad and have accounts in a few countries, in different currencies. The app won't allow me to create and manage separate budgets for each currency which is a problem. It also has limited ability to import transactions, which I wouldn't mind if it had the ability to easily reconcile your balance. Additionally, the fact that there isn't a webapp for those occasions when it would be much easier to enter things on my laptop, coupled with the elevated new price, is making me reconsider going back to YNAB.

it’s fine. it’s quite convenient, the only thing is the subscription. it’s says in the description it’s a $4.99 monthly renewal but it’s actually $7.49 which might not seem like a lot if it wasn’t for the fact i got the app to save money. all in all it’s a practical app with a visually attractive UI.

Changed my life!. This is the best budgeting app I’ve ever used and I feel like I’ve tried them all. Even though it takes more time, having to manually add my transactions as well as having the ability to customise my budget to suit my family has been such a blessing in managing my finances! Also, having the breakdowns by transaction and budget has really driven home some hard truths about my spending which has definitely changed how and where my money goes (mostly - I’m still working on keeping my random shopping in check). Honestly couldn’t rate this app higher as a money management tool!

By far, the best!. After trying multiple different apps, I had settled on this one. This is because of the simple, clean and easy to use UI. The UI is really smooth and has many settings you can change to fit your preferences. There are some premium features which I wish were free such as exporting my files.

Used to be amazing! Recent update is terrible. I used this app for a few months earlier this year and loved it! It was amazing. It thought of everything. But now they’ve done some update to include “accounts” which just confuses everything! The budget no longer recognises income as income, instead it’s savings that’s being transferred out. I’ve tried contacting the developers and heard noting back

Does everything I need it to. I’ve been looking for an app that tracks my expenses and also allows me to check my account balances (including loans and credit cards). The one I was using prior to finding Buddy didn’t allow me to record amounts incoming as anything other than “income” and it disregarded any debts. Or perhaps it did do everything I wanted but the app was so confusing that I didn’t know how to use most of it. Initially I wanted something that would automatically download my bank transactions and Buddy won’t do that with my bank but honestly the fact that I have to put expenses in manually means I’m aware of every transaction and I think I’m actually spending less because of that. In about a month or two I should have all of my recurring transactions set up to just add when they come out of my bank account and then I can more easily keep track of my variable expenses. And from that I’ll be able to create a budget that I might even have a chance of sticking to because it will be based on past expenditure rather than just arbitrary amounts. It’s a great app.

But……. I absolutely love this app, the user interface is magnificent and its easy to use. HOWEVER i was only using this app to track my spending and then i created a budget, the app wiped all my transactions I’ve been keeping for months. Was so disappointed

Best budgeting app around. Nothing else like it. Easy to learn, navigate and see your spending. If there was an option for 6 stars I wouldn’t hesitate to give it. Thank you to the developers and supporting staff, keep it up :)

Has potential but disappointing. Really has potential as is intuitive and beautiful. However the recurring expenses are not automatically included as transactions unless you manually click *add now*. This is frustrating as I want to see that I have budgeted correctly according to my direct debits but would have to manually enter *add now* for 100s of repeating transactions. It also does not roll over any remaining money at the end of the budget period which is just ridiculous. Without these functions it is basically unuasable.

I wish I could access the premium features…. Makes sense I can’t use everything for free, but I can’t justify a monthly subscription for such a basic tool. Maybe $10-15 for permanent use would be justifiable, I haven’t seen how the premium features are though, so maybe they’d be worth more? I’ll never know.

Very ADHD Friendly. It’s been a tad tricky to figure out how the app works but after fiddling for a few hours I am really enjoying the function. The visual aspect of the app has made breaking down expenses way easier for me to understand where my money is going. It’s the perfect app for someone with ADHD as I do where keeping track of everything is not easy. Having it so visual makes budgeting so much more digestible than other apps that simply have text. The different colours, the filling circles, the different pictures all makes it so much more accessible. I would recommend this app!

Best budgeting app. If you’re prepared to put in a little time to set this app up correctly- it is absolutely worth it. I love the features and design. For families trying to budget, it really helps you to stay on track and it really is simple to use. I have tried so many budgeting apps, and nothing comes close to this one. Highly recommend.

New update issue. I liked the old preview of transaction list overview. It showed more information at a glance. This new preview barely shows anything. Now you only see that in the wallet tabs, this should also be seen in the overview tab as that is what is used majority of the time. Can you make an option that revert to the old preview overview list? I like to see the information when I input them and this new update doesn’t allow for it. If I could add pictures here I would have but I can’t.

Simple & Perfect. Lovely & well thought out app! I’ve been looking for a budget tracker which allows me to set category spending limits (ie. $100/month on cosmetics) and be able to manually input my spending (and tell me when I’ve overspent! - which is often lol) I hate the apps which want you to link your bank account! Just don’t trust them. You can create your own categories, colour coded, and with emoji icons. 😍 I’m such a nerd with budgeting & this ticks all my boxes! Thank you so much! I’d happily pay for premium but just find it a little high, that’s the only thing I’m concerned about. Apart from that, beautiful app! Great work team!!!!!

Great!. I tried a few different budgeting apps but I hated that they would connect only to your card and automatically track expenses just from that. I get paid partially in cash and this allows me to track my cash income and expenses. I also really love the catorisation system and infographics.

Transfer. So I love the app only thing is when I make a transfer from savings to my checking the category becomes “savings account” instead of “transfer” then shows up as income when I view my expenses in the remaining section. I can’t change it back to transfer because it isn’t available in the category list or make a category called transfer because the category already exists. Will continue to use the app but the transfer feature clearly needs attention as it isn’t working.

Great app but why can’t I connect my bank. Your app images and other Australian websites mention that I should be able to connect my bank but I can’t find this option anywhere.

Love it so far!. Intuitive and easy to use - only feedback is when inputting a new transaction, have a search bar quickly find a category.

Awesome app. Works well for my wife and I to track where we spend money. Very happy to see category search when adding expenses in has been added!👌

Transferring funds between accounts balance issue. I want to give this app 5 stars, however when I “transfer money” from a savings account to the main spending account, it won’t update the main dashboards balance in the top right corner. For some reason the transfer transaction that shows in the transaction list needs to be converted to to “income” for it to be taken into consideration as available funds. Otherwise your dashboard balance and the Homescreen widget will end up in a negative balance. This doesn’t make sense to me as if you’re one to keep funds in different accounts and cannot transfer from one account to another to utilise the funds from the second account, then what is the point of having a transfer feature? It appears to me that this feature is simply not functioning and needs fixing.

Advertised feature completely missing. After almost an hour of searching, I’ve discovered I’m in a country that isn’t supported by their bank integration. That’s fine, except that there’s literally no indication in the app that this is the case, the “connect to bank” feature is just completely missing from the interface. The FAQ doesn’t have this listed either. Consider the frustration you’re causing your users due to this.

Great app. Have been using this app for a couple months now and so far it has been so helpful in managing our finances more effectively. I was easily able to identify areas we could do better in our spending and remove subscriptions that we forgotten about or no longer needed. The budget graphs showing was balances are remaining is visually quick and easy to read and one of the reasons I chose Regis app over many. The program is visually appealing, modern and fun, so it makes it enjoyable to use. The fee is affordable and customer service is quick to assist. I only give this a 4 star review as I live in Australia and the app is yet to have the function to integrate with bank accounts in Aus. It does mean I have to check the app and bank accounts daily to stay on top of it however it’s teaching me good habits anyway! Will change to 5 star once bank transaction information transfer becomes available for sure! :)

Can’t connect a bank. Hey there. I have been using buddy app for nearly a month. And I must say I really like it and the whole user interface. Connecting a bank account feature doesn’t seem to work for me. As soon as I click “Connect your bank” button the loading spinner pops up, it disappears and stays in a same screen. I don’t know if it’s a bug or what. Buddy team, do get back to me. I really like to try this feature out. Overall, I would recommend everyone to try this out. It’s worth your time and money.

Fantastic app and 1 small issue. A fantastic app. Only 1x small issue is that one of the widgets doesn’t seem to be responding correctly but apart from that it’s fantastic and was exactly what I was looking for to help me save money and budget

Nice design, limited functionality. Lovely design - clean, customisable & intuitive interface. Allows you to co-manage a budget with others. But one major design flaw: all expenses must be tracked in the same period eg monthly or quarterly. I want to be able to see my regular budget categories on a monthly basis, and my infrequent categories (eg haircuts, clothes shopping) on a quarterly or annual basis. Given the annual cost of this app, I’m surprised this feature hasn’t been built yet.

Easy to use, customisable, but difficult to get help. So I’ve been trialling Buddy for 2 months, been enjoying it so far. The UX is really smooth, easy to learn for basic budgeting, and yet customisable enough to help separate different budget categories (ie. lifestyle, housing, etc). It does take a bit of learning to use the multiple “accounts” (in this case I usually spared some money for future bills), but it’s doable. I’d be keen if there’s a way to import data (bank statement or CSV) and select transactions I want to add. The goal is so I don’t need to re-type description and amount. I don’t necessarily want to link Buddy to my bank account for my privacy purposes. However, I’m not sure why it’s really hard to get their team’s help. I wanted to acquire lifetime license, contacted them 3x this month and no reply. Can someone please help?

Horrible job. I need to review my job schedule at home it’s not good like today it’s so hot right now that’s why I haven’t done anymore clean up branches bushes that’s my reason why so yeah regards Brayden Budgie

I don’t understand what get this app the high ratings. Used it for around 10 minutes. Patiently dumped all my regular spending in the app then realised despite having pre-defined spending categories for each expense. It still dump everything under housing, who would buy clothing or petrol for a house? The next bug encountered was I had to repeated remove the pre-filled budget of rent from the screen as I removed it during regular expenses phrase then again when I check my budget. Maybe get some software engineer and product manager who knows how to build an app before considering charging premium. Uninstalled and here is the feedback.

Love this app!. This app is perfect, and even without premium, it’s all that I need. I like the daily reminders, and it super easy to use. The only downside is that now I can’t ignore the fact that I spend majority of my money on food 😭😂 PS: I really liked the name Kaching 💸

Regret buying the app. Probably my fault so not checking more thoroughly before buying but the description said it connects with bank accounts so I downloaded it and tried to, couldn’t find the feature so I thought it was locked behind a paywall so paid once off for premium. Bank connect feature not available in Australia. Haven’t used the app since it was the top priority feature I wanted.

LOVE but…. Buddy has been my favourite budget planner so far but find it very time consuming to manually add every transaction, and sometimes I forget to do so and it throws my budget off. I would LOVE if you could sync your banks accounts so your transactions automatically link into buddy.

Stunning app, disappointing pricing. This app is polished from the moment you open it. The utility this app brings is undeniable, but I have to say the premium options are cutting. Right now, I used a detailed excel spreadsheet to manage my budget and I’d love to upgrade to an app like this. This app takes away the complexity and displays my finances clearly. I’m generally happy to pay a subscription if I’m going to get continuous utility from an app. But I wouldn’t use this app frequently, only a few times a month. I’m happy to pay a one-off fee for some of the features, but the steep monthly cost isn’t worth it for me. I’d love if the developers would consider a one-time in-app purchase for unlimited budgets and no sharing features.

BRING BACK THE OLD LAYOUT. this new update has ruined the app for me. I enjoyed being able to see the total amount for each category e.g searching a term ‘sunnies’ and seeing how much money I have spent on that category. You cannot see the whole description written for a transaction which is also frustrating. completely ruined the visibility of my budgeting. please change it back to the old setting or I will also cancelling my subscription.

Beautiful design but…. The app has a beautiful and simplistic design. It is a treat for the eyes to look at. However, it doesn’t support bank transaction syncing so you have to manually put in every transaction (please correct me if I’m wrong). Also there’s no help document or support provided in the app.

Technical issues. Great app but it’s refusing to open after the latest update. I’ve tried restarting my phone but nothing seems to be working. Don’t want to delete the app as I don’t want to lose my data

The Perfect Budgeting App. I’m never one to leave reviews but after spending years trying to find the perfect app I’ve finally found it! This app is so easy to use, so functional and just looks amazing and this is just the free version! I love that you can add different accounts and manage multiple budgets you can even track split payments and add your partner Definitely recommend, time to retire the spreadsheet now :)

Can see positives but needs work. I wanted to move away from a custom made excel document I built that helps me visualise and track 12 months at a time but this isn’t it. Recurring didn’t seem to work, struggled to have different payments (one bill weekly, one bill fortnightly etc) to appear correctly and there was no starting balance option. It’s good. Not great. Sorry :(

Great app!. It is easy to use, has a great look and is easy to use. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to track their money or start a budget. Unfortunately the price for premium is a extremely high. I have noticed that even since the update it still counts editing categories as creating new ones and asks you to pay. The only improvements I can think of are: 1. Adding a category for gift cards in the income section so you can track money that can’t be spent everywhere 2. Adding the option to choose where the money is. For example the overview could be split up into 2 categories ( eg: wallet for one category and card for the other) and it could show a income/expenses/balance for each. It would mean you would know exactly how much was in your wallet and how much was in the bank/card, in case a place only accepts cash or only card.

Bad UI/UX design. Really dislike the new update. It’s so confusing and not friendly at all. If you are making it a long scrolling, show me the part of today when I open the list tab. I don’t need to see the future spending. NOW is more important! It’s so annoying that I have to search for a while to find what I want. Looking for other substitution now.

Does not refresh my bank transactions. Easy to fill out. But I spent so much time filling out budget sections and my bank transactions won’t refresh or update. Not sure what’s going on

Scam Garbage. Avoid at all cost!. Won’t connect to Amex in Canada even though other apps that use Plaid to connect to Amex in Canada do. The 7 day free trail turned into an instant billing of my account fo $60+. Now I’m stuck with an app that doesn’t work for me and am $60 poorer.

I like it but…. I have a big feature request! Please add shortcuts support! I would love to add this app into multiple additional workflows I’ve setup on my phone via the shortcuts app! Even just inserting an expense via shortcut would be good. But being able to ask about certain budgets or get a summary of last transactions would be fantastic.

Lacking Features. Like millions of users out there, I am one of those Mint users searching for a new budgeting tool. Buddy looks promising but there are a few must-have features that I really miss from Mint (hope these will be implemented very soon): 1) ability to split a transaction into multiple categories 2) ability to memorize a transaction from a vendor so the user does not have to manually assign it

Unexpected design change out of nowhere. Changed a perfect and usable design to something “modern”. This is ridiculous. Please add and option to switch to the previous one.

Good until this update. I really liked this app for its simplicity and good features. Now it’s just messed up and complicated. The last update introduced changes that don’t make sense: scheduled transactions for the next month showing up on list for the current month, linked credit cards showing the remaining credit limit not the current owing balance, upcoming transactions based off previous spending with weird owing days (example, I make a regular charitable donation of a varying amount by etransfer every month and it’s showing my “bill” for that institution will be due in -659 days?), and finally showing it can cancel my Netflix subscription for me… that I don’t even have anymore… that it must’ve pulled from linked transactions from months ago?? It’s just gone weird and I much preferred it before this update, seemed like a lot of unnecessary stuff that doesn’t work well. We’ll see if they correct any of the issues, always with a new release there’s bugs to work out, still pretty good for tracking expenses but I likely won’t renew my subscription if the features aren’t cleaned up by that time.

Grateful for this. I was struggling to understand where I was spending my money and after renewing my mortgage I knew I had to stay on track. This app is so easy to use and makes me excited about saving. I love that you can add notes to anything you add - it’s really helping me understand my spending and is so easy to use. I love it!

Would not update my bank info. Cool idea. Wouldn’t update my bank info. I waited over the 6 hours for it update multiple times. I even connected and re connected etc and no dice. Super annoying so I cancelled.

Impossible de synchroniser avec ma banque. Je viens de télécharger l'application qui semble plutôt intéressante mais grosse déception, même si j'ai trouvé ma banque le système n'arrive pas à se connecter à ma banque pour synchroniser les informations. Très déçue

Terrible Update. I absolutely loved this app, I’m a premium number and this app was a great way to keep up with my finances. But ever since this latest update this morning, it messed up all of my accounts that I had been tracking. I liked the original overview list tab that showed all my transactions by month, and how I could adjust everything freely. Now it feels as though I’m just viewing everything all at once from the outside with no way to actually control it. Especially the new ‘save’ tab which shows ‘subscription’ that aren’t even subscriptions or haven’t been for months now? Please allow for a ‘Legacy view’ or something along those lines, this update genuinely makes me want to cancel my subscription and find a different budgeting app. I’m sure the devs took time with this new look and I apologize if I offend you, but it was a LOT better before! Don’t fix it if it’s not broke.

Time zone issue!!. It has been a great app so far but I have encountered a couple issues along the way. The obvious one that just occurred to me is I just travelled to another country with a big 12h time difference and all my transactions shifted a day(which is ok but) all my scheduled transaction doubled including passed ones….. it messed up all my entries from 2019 till now. Now I can’t really do anything but to restart(?) Hopefully you can fix the problem :/ Also if there is a way to delete say entries from an entire year/month would be very helpful.

No Support even for Premium. Take it from someone who's purchased the premium plan — there is little to zero support. I purchased the premium plan when this app was fairly new to the market, and it's been through a few changes. It's at the point where it no longer recognizes my account and I'm unable to use the app on another device. I've reached out to Support numerous times and received no response. I would highly recommend steering away from an app like this. It really doesn't offer anything superior from other leading apps such as Mint, YNAB, etc. You'll just be out (the now $60) annual subscription.

Good app but…. Seems like a decent app but was unable to connect my main spending credit card. Kept getting ‘multi-factor authentication not supported’. Tried emailing them for support but never got a reply.

Needs 1 major issue fixed. I love this app but why does everything reset every month????? I need my balance to not disappear and set back to zero every month, what is the point of that.... I need it to remain where it was from the month before. This should not even be an issue, who designed this

Worst update ever. I have been using buddy for over a year and I appreciate the effort you had to make it great. But the latest update threw all the awesome features I love. I don’t know if I spend so much time writing this review will bring any attention to the developers but I just want to let you know how good your previous version is. 1. You can’t navigate through different time or customize a range to see the list and summary. All you can do is scrolling to view different months and you’re not allowed to customize the range anymore. I can’t think of any reason for a product to do that. 2. You don’t have the option to see a total number of a certain category via search the category name. I used this a lot to check how much I earned or spent since I started bookkeeping for a certain category but now it’s removed and I’ll never be able to track my totals. That sucks so hard. 3. I don’t understand these hypothetical categories you put under the budget tab. They don’t suit my categories at all. And why can’t I decide the categories under the tab? It makes it so useless. I don’t know if you cut these features in free version to force users to subscribe to your product. If that’s the case, sorry, I have to uninstall Buddy even though it’s hard to manage in the short term. And I’ve sent you feedbacks but haven’t heard from you yet :/

Not able to connect to mainstream bank. I cannot connect to RBC or TD bank. It keeps telling me to try again later but I kept trying throughout the entire day. No further error prompt was given.

$46 for a budgeting app. Downloaded to track expenses and save some money . As if the first step I’m going to take to save money is pay $46 for an app .

Like the previous version better. Love the app, however, the overview page in the “lists” category is more confusing with the update with every month bunched together it makes everything confusing to find. I much rather the old version where each month is it’s own page to better track my daily spending. Hope it goes back to the old way!

Fix your app. I cannot connect my RBC account. It freezes then fails. Because of this, I decided to move on, but how can I disconnect my already connected accounts? Can you add that feature? Very basic I expected it to be there already

Cannot sync with my bank account. Its been days since I successfully sync my bank data last time. After I paid for subscription.

Transaction Posting. Like the app, but the only thing is that they take more then 6 hrs *thats what it said on the app* to sync your transactions.

Potential, but too many glitches…. Great idea and it would work perfect if it didn’t glitch with importing transactions. Transactions disappear and import twice sometimes. If you’re not super diligent on matching your statement with the imported transactions, it’s not very accurate on its own.

I WANT OLD LAYOUT. OMG. This is such a great app until the new update. It’s hard to see recurring transactions. It’s not as easy to keep track. Please give option for old layout or I’m finding another app that does the job

Latest Update Bugs?. I loved the app since I started using it few months ago but the last est update is not good and is ruining my experience. I cannot view the month’s expense in a proper list view like I used to and all the scheduled payments etc are showing in the list all the time? I would rate it 5 stars once I get back the old interface.

Inaccurate Bank Transactions. The imported bank transactions are inaccurate: missing transactions randomly from some days.

Transactions are imported with the wrong date. I reported a bug stating that the transactions are being imported with the wrong date, but I haven’t heard back from them.

Great Budgeting Tracker. Honestly super easy to use and navigate. Great user interface. Didn’t pay premium and just putting in transactions manually so far and it’s better than Mint because Mint crashes and doesn’t update Canadian banks anyways. Super easy app 10/10

Doesn’t connect to bank. Banq sync not working with RBC because of two factor authentication

How to save money. I have already started to save good money by deleting this App. Every app maker these days wants a hand in our pockets in the form of recurring subscriptions. Whats wrong with one time pricing? Good budgeting starts with saving money.

Too Hard to Set Up. Way too hard to create categories and get started

Replacement for Mint. Seems ok. I was looking for a replacement for Mint.

Customer service is awful. I’ve used the app for years, functionally it works well , but I got kicked out due to getting a new phone , and I can’t get back in , and I’ve been reaching out to customer service for over a week now and they won’t return a single email , and they don’t provide a phone # . Like I said it’s over a week and I still don’t have access to my account or even an email acknowledging they are working on it

Très dispendieux! Dommage!.

Important features missing. I much preferred the previous look. That said, I think the “repeat” feature could be better + an end date can be a nice bonus. Still on the repeated transaction, changing the initial transaction doesn’t apply to the rest, one has to do the changes for each… just not rounded enough as a feature.

The new update sucks. The new update is very hard to use! Can I have the old version back!

Terrible Update. I thought this was a 5-star app, but the recent update got rid of the ability to see a breakdown of income. I can see a breakdown of my spending, but I also liked seeing a breakdown of income to track the different sources of income… I don’t mind the other visual changes, but getting rid of this feature took away a lot of this app’s value for me.

Review. This a really good app it’s very minimalistic to make it even better you should add how much money you earned or I’m just not educated enough to know this feature

Doesn’t sync well. This app gives me an error every time I try to add my chequing account and won’t sync my credit cards without crashing. I have to manually add every single transaction. Wish I was integrated more seamlessly with financial institutions.

Doesn’t sync properly. My credit cards sync fine. But deposits to my banking account don’t show up and neither do withdrawals from my bank account. But somehow transferring between my accounts show up and counts as ‘money coming in’. Which it isn’t.

Question. Hey, so I want to know, do you guys import data from other banking apps or do I have to enter everything in manually?

Don’t like new version. Please bring back separate page for each month in “list” category. Also, it is impossible to track my income now.

New layout is so hard to use. The latest update changed the layout of everything and made the app much harder to use. We need an option to use the old layout!

The synchronization is delecting transactions. On my past bank transactions when I change the category; the next synchronization will delete them and recreate them with the initial categories. Except that nice application!

Add option for old layout.. I was shocked when i opened the app and there was an updated layout. The old layout was so much easier to glimpse and use. PLEASE add an option to revert to the old layout. This new on is unfortunately enough for me to delete and use a different app.

Simple and functional. Finally, an app that doesn't try to gamify budgeting - just a simple, clean interface that works. I hope this exists forever.

Wealthsimple Support?. Are you guys planning on adding wealthsimple to your list of accounts? If so do you know when?

Doesn’t Work in Canada. Looking for a Mint alternative. Tried the free trial and couldn’t connect Canadian accounts (Tangerine bank, AMEX credit card). Should make it more clear this only works in certain regions.

Good so far just downloaded but keeps crashing. I don’t know why I was just setting it up but it won’t stop crashing and I already restarted my phone and it’s still doing it none stop :( might have to delete it

Will not automatically sync. Don’t waste your money on this app if you want it to automatically sync to your bank accounts, you have to disconnect and reconnect your bank every single time if you want it to sync to your current transactions, very very very inconvenient and a huge flaw of this app.

Easy to use. I downloaded this app about 3 hours ago and I spent that whole time exploring the app and I really enjoyed how easy it is to navigate, customized it, as well as have as much control in how I categorize my finances. I compared this to other apps that I have tried and the other apps does not have this same design, layout and accessibility. I recommend! I will do another review in the future if I come across any other issues!

Roll back the update!. I've used this app for nearly a year and it was the perfect simple money tracking app. This new update is unintuitive and is missing features I previously used. I have many complaints but I think the easiest fix that would likely satisfy the most people is add filtering to the List page. Allow filter by month (similar to what you have in the spending page!!), and filtering by income vs spending. Also, this seems like an oversight, allow adding a transaction on the overview page.

Seems good but can’t sync between iPad and iPhone. Installed buddy on iPad and iPhone. I have been entering transactions on iPad and they don’t show up on iPhone on buddy. I signed into Apple on both apps/devices multiple times with no change. I don’t see how to create an account so I can login with email and password. To conclude, I have multiple expenses logged in August on iPad but none of them show up on iPhone in buddy

Amazing. I’m very picky with budgeting apps and this is the only one I’ve found that hits all the marks. It has just the right amount of customization to let you use it in whatever way makes sense for you. The aesthetics are really good too. Premium subscription is totally worth it. I hope it stays around forever!

Love!!!!. No joke, this app is exactly what I wanted. I wanted something that was user friendly and offered me control in what gets entered, but with the option to connect accounts too that were easy to adjust. I don’t want to say other than just try it and hope it works for you too! I’m seriously almost giddy at finally finding this app!

Disappointed. I just recently downloaded the app a week from the ending of March. When the 1st of April hit, my balance said $0...and I still had a balance from the previous month. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t transfer the balance over to the next month. I loved the app and was going to buy the premium version, but I’m not even going to use this app anymore once I find one that better fits what I want. I also wonder if maybe there’s a setting I’m not using properly?

Amazing app!. I’ve tried countless budgeting apps and none of them really worked for me. This one did. It’s simplicity and straightforward interface is the best, also I can log new transactions so much quicker than the other apps. 3 seconds faster may not seem like much but when you want to do it quickly for each transaction it adds up

Keeps You Accountable, So Visually Pleasing. I have only had this app for a short period of time and it’s great for exactly what I need. It doesn’t “sync” to any of your accounts but this form of manual budgeting is the accountability I need. It’s also nice and colorful and almost relaxing to do your budget, which is an added bonus! Can’t wait to continue to use this!!

good app but currently not working for me. Generally this is the best UI I could find for a free budgeting app and I have been using it for a while and am happy with it. However in the last month or so I have been unable to enter transactions on my phone—I get to the page where you enter the number and tapping the keyboard doesn’t do anything. I can still enter transactions from my Apple Watch but I can’t add descriptions. I’m hoping this issue gets resolved because while it worked this was a great app, but right now it’s not working.

Easy, useful. I hated the idea of linking my card to any app, so I specifically sought out an app that would be colorful, provide statistics, and yet still rely on manual input. I’ve been using it for about a month now and I’m slowly but surely getting an understanding of my spending habits. I’m only using it for basic tracking, but I feel like planning and budgeting would be fairly easy too!

STILL Unable to Create an Account. I seem to be running into a glitch where I’m unable to actually create an account with my Apple ID to sync my data. I bought the premium version after the free trial, so it should be linked to my Apple account - but it keeps saying the account doesn’t exist! Super frustrating, especially when everything else about the app is spectacular! EDIT: This bug STILL won’t let me crate an account. I’ve tried clearing my data, uninstalling (which also clears my data because I can’t make an account), literally everything. No developer response. I give up. If anyone can get this to work, more power to you. Guess it’s back to drawing board for me.

Please add different curencies. I’ve been using the app for half a year now and I like it. I’m able to add expenses quickly in several taps and then analyze them by category and period. But now that I’m moving to another country I found the app lacking a feature which enables me to record spendings in different currencies (without changing the currency of the whole account).

Useless trial. I’d love to have been able to rate this after properly trying it out but I wasn’t even able to use it for more than 10min. There is a limit on how many categories useable in the trial, which I thought would be fine. I started adding in my transactions and editing the already existing categories to fit my needs and suddenly it tells me I’m out of free trial categories. Apparently any modifications made to existing categories then counts them as new categories thus costing you in your allotted free number. I was so excited to have finally found a nicely done budgeting app that didn’t require linking a US bank account as I no longer live in the US. So disappointing.

One feature I found and stopped searching for any other app. Set your monthly Day Start and Day End. All other apps I tried is set to 1st of the month start date. However, I track from 20th - 19th because we have a set budget for our credit card that we pay off each month. So now I can see the proper monthly budget. Thanks a lot!!!!

Subscription for what?. I love this app. The premium features are subscription based. Usually, if it is a subscription based app, then there needs to be some service provided. Apart from syncing the expenses, I do not see any services being provided which warrants subscription based model. Also, if it is being synced to my iCloud for which I already pay, there is no need to pay again for it in the app. I wish there was a way to pay to upgrade to a pro version. I really do want to support the developer but subscription doesn’t make sense to me. Please do help me understand.

Great App! Fantastic Support!. The app itself is as good or better than any you’ll find. What makes it well worth the upgrade is the quick response when support is needed. I had what turned out to be fairly minor issue and the response was prompt, kind, and offered to assist in any issue that might arise in the future. This…is the way all apps and businesses should run.

Great app!. Honestly, this has helped me keep track of my spending 10x better than I thought it would. It’s not invasive and YOU are the one to put in the transactions so you’re seeing in real time how much you’re spending, where you’re spending, and what you are spending your money on. Swiping my card makes me feel like I’m not even spending money, using this app I have to face my demons lol

Missing Options. I would love this app if it allowed me to have multiples of the same category within 1 budget. For ex: I can't have more than 1 car loan under the same budget. If I try to add kore than 1 it will overwrite the previous entry. It seems this app would have benefited me when I was a single student living on my own. It does not benefit me at the current stage of my life.

Great App - Great Support. This is first app where I have seen a developer actively engage with users. That’s a big confidence booster with the product. This app allows for a great hands on model of tracking expenses where as automatic tracking tends to make a user lazy. If I were to suggest any new feature for this app, I would like to see a cash flow aspect to help plan expenses throughout a month. Overall, a great app to use!

Great tracker, easy-to-use. I’ve always been great at budgeting, but was old-fashioned and used journals. Decided to switch to digital tracking to save on paper, & glad to have stumbled across this app. Easily calculates my daily spending & summarizes my monthly budget. Only drawback is that the paid version is very similar to the free version. The extra features aren’t necessary, at least for now.

Love it. Ok. I love this app. Aesthetics mean a lot to me and if I don’t like the way it looks, 9x out of 10 I won’t use it. This app is beautiful, and equally useful. Just like the other reviewer stated, I too, hate the apps that want my login information so that was a big bonus. My only gripe is that I would like a bill icon/section/page, so I can enter in my bill due dates, have the app to remind me to pay them, keep track of what is past due and have it all tie to my budgeted categories once I mark them paid.

I thought I finally found the app I NEED but…. It’s the only one who does what I want and it’s very intuitive. But! Sadly it lacks basic features in mint that’s free. It doesn’t automatically apply the re categorization to all from the same merchant, and it doesn’t allow more than one bank! It’s for those with very basic needs. I don’t know who only uses one bank these days. It has great potential; but sadly it’s missing some very fundamental features. For that, I’ll live with a less intuitive free app but comes with fundamental features.

Pretty good. Love the design of the app compared to the other apps that are available on the app store. Only two complaints is that I can think of is that the math calculation is sometimes off, I don't know why. The last complaint is the annual fee. A bit excessive to be charging that kind of price as others offer the same function and purpose for free. Seems like you really are just paying for the customization of the app and the sharing functionality. I wish they had like a student plan.

Everything good but…. Guys you made great app but there is one issue. For example 30th September I left to spend $150 and 1st October I added expense $350 and app shows me current left to spent -$350. How is it possible and not counting money from last month? It’s must show -$200. Your app really need to count or at least have option to turn that on or off in settings. But everything else is great. Love your app👍🏻

Where’s the continuity??. Okay I’m VERY confused here. Last night I created an account on my iPad with my google email I loaded ALLLLLL of these expenses and info and today I’m trying to access via my iPhone and my log in credentials don’t work. So I went ahead and tried the sign up with Apple option on my iPad, however, the SAME Apple ID populates NONE of the data I spent hours curating last night on my iPad. What’s the problem with this app??? It’s making me want to cancel the subscription and delete the entire app. This should be a seamless transition here 🙄

Great until…. This app was incredible for me and I was able to budget super well! Although they bank transfer feature has issues a lot of times and can’t put the places you spent in the right category. There is also a glitch when I try to move categories around because it will get all jumbled up! So unfortunately I will have to get a new app to organize my budget better. I love it until the glitch started happening!

Would be good. I liked the setup of this app a lot more than others I’ve tried however after setting it up and customizing all my categories the auto bank transactions is really killing this app. 1. They are very delayed. (More than the advertised 6 hours) 2. I have transactions that pop up and I put them into the proper categories then the next day they are gone and I’m missing them. I tried to resync and they won’t come back until who knows when. Very frustrating. May have to use without connecting my bank.

Needs more developing. The aesthetics is very nice & the user interferes isn’t the most complicated, I’ve used easier, budgeting tools, and more complicated, budgeting tools. With that said, it doesn’t accurately track or calculate. 1. The tool is supposed to automatically link a transaction to the account that it’s tied to. Instead, I am going into almost 300 transactions individually to assign them to the correct account. 2. since it can’t detect the correct account, it can’t detect separate users on the same account (yes, different cards) 3. Transactions are registered as mine when they are the other users. 4. The income was added, but it does not subtract the transactions. So the app is telling me my accounts are empty, because it’s not mathing🤦🏽‍♀️. If the app needs time to learn the users behavior more than a seven day trial is needed. This app is over priced for something not automated.

Nice, except for subscription. I enjoyed the app and wanted to use it for my finances. I went to purchase the advanced version and saw it was a subscription which I’m not a fan of. I would have paid a one time $10-$20 but I’m not buying into a subscription. Developers have the right to charge whatever they want, but I stopped using the app once I saw the pricing model. It’s good for budgeting and tracking your spending which is where the four stars comes from, but subscription isn’t for me.

Pulling Transactions From Banks Need Some Work. This is the second attempt from my significant other and I to try Buddy as our main finance budgeting app. There are many aspects that we love about it that other finance apps aren't able to do. We like that we could have separate budgets but be allowed to share them with one another. However, it simply does not pull transactions with the same efficiency as other budget apps. Unfortunately, that is a deal breaker for me. Will try again if this aspect is improved in the future.

LOVE this app - BUT. So I have tried just about every personal finance tracker that the App Store has to offer. This app is by far my favorite! It is beautifully designed and makes managing your day-to-day and long-term expenses an easy task. However, I wish there was a flat fee for premium instead of a monthly subscription. This is why I couldn’t give the app 5 stars. It has so much potential, but isn’t worth the monthly fee. If this is ever changed, I’ll be purchasing and giving the full 5 stars!

Hi Guys! I need some help. Does anyone know how to fix the “Connect Your Bank” button? I click it and it loads then it stops loading for no reason. I click it 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 and 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 and it still doesn’t load. I need this feature ASAP! I don’t know if it’s recent or maybe in beta so I’m asking if it works on anyone else’s iPhone. Otherwise, the app is 𝙄𝙉𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘿𝙄𝘽𝙇𝙀

Premium doesn’t have imported transactions. I have a feeling that it would be the perfect budgeting app for me, but even the premium option doesn’t have syncing with bank accounts. We’re adults with a small child—we need to be able to track 401ks, savings accounts, student debt, credit cards and general spending in one app. I have time to approve transactions that an app has uploaded for me, but literally zero time to constantly import the massive amounts of money-moving that being an adult involves. I think this would be a great starting app for a teenager, or a college student, but it’s just not for a more established audience.

The best budgeting and finance tracker!. I’ve tried about 6 or 7 different budgeting and spending tracker apps and this is by far the best one I’ve ever used! I’m obsessed already. I love all the features, especially where it puts head categories in different colors and then sub categories stay the same color with the heading it’s under! Such a great, organized tool to keep track of finances!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!. This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for to help me visualize where my money is going. It’s easy to use and very visual. It’s not just numbers which helps me a lot. It’s very customizable. I really can’t believe it’s free. I’ve never written a review for an app before but this one is just so good and it looks amazing. I’m already more conscious of my spending and I think this app is going to help me get my finances together.

Three stars not five just because one missing feature. Insights ! I’ve been using this app and paying for premium subscription for over a year now, this app is great, in every corner. However the missing graphs and detailed insights that help the users understand their spendings is kinda sad. Especially after i contacted the support team about this feature but never got it. Great app though, i use it on daily basis 👍🏼

Frustrating. I paid to upgrade the app where it would automatically bring my bank transactions over. The problem is that I would be missing multiple transactions on this app during the month when I looked through my transactions on my banking app. This happened on numerous occasions and had to go back and manually put them in. I switched budgeting apps and much happier now.

Love this app!. I am in love with the UI, it motivates me to stay on top of my budgeting. One feature I'd love to see is the option to be able to hide transactions. I like entering in my income (but don't want it to be accounted for in my budget) or I'd love to input expenses that people have bought using my own card, but I don't consider that to be my own expense (since they pay me back in another way), so I don't want that to be accounted for in my budget. :) Thank you! Stay great, Buddy!

Love this app. I recently discover this app and I absolutely love everything about it! I love the fact that I can manually enter my information instead of everything being connected to my bank account. The UI is wonderful and I look forward to using it everyday. It’s also pretty easy to use as well with just the right amount of features!

amazing. this app is just amazing. it has u covered in every way when it comes to organizing your money; the right way!! this is the app i’ve needed for so long and i was just about ready to make one myself because i was giving up in finding one. i am a crazy organized being, and i NEED this master piece in my everyday life. thank you for making this, and keep it up!

Great App!. I really like the app. The fact that I can add my expenses and know how much I am spending where with the friendly UI/UX you’re providing makes the whole experience delightful. I still didn’t push it to the premium version but one feature that would push me to is having a feature where I can add user custom items under a certain category and I can group by those items. For example under the category groceries I can add an item as “Milk” and label it with a certain color and later on I can group by that label/item. That would allow me as a user to know how much did I spend on milk per month. This would allow the users to micromanage more efficiently. However it’s a great effort 👍🏼 Thanks!

Some basic logic missing. Maybe I haven’t messed around with the app enough, but it makes no sense to me that you create custom budgets/categories and then when you go to put in an expense, every category that exists in the app is shown to you. I put in effort to get rid of the categories I don’t need and put in ones I do, so I’m not sure why it’s still so cluttered when I go to input a transaction. Other than that, this app seems to be what I’m looking for.

Great budgeting app but questionable cost for premium. I spent hours looking for the right budgeting app. This app is it! I have been using it for 6 months and am so satisfied. The only downfall is that I find the premium version to be high, especially considering it’s an app based around helping you manage your money. I wish premium could be a one time purchase instead of a monthly/yearly rate. I’m still using the free version but need more categories, yet I don’t know if it’s worth the cost.

Would like refund. I downloaded and bought annual premium because I thought I could track bill splits, which the app does, but not in the way I needed. Each user who split the bill needs to create an account and actively participate. I’m not going to ask my friends to create an account because this is more for my own personal tracking. I wish I could indicate bill splits on behalf of other users. As someone who always pays the bill and splits it among 3 other people, this is app unfortunately is useless to me for the time being. UI looks awesome though!

Helps me budget with intention. To me, the purpose of budgeting is to know where my money is going and in doing so, be more financially free. I’ve tried so many budgeting apps (including Mint and paying for YNAB), all of which use automatic syncing, but none of them has stuck. Buddy is really user-friendly and makes it easy to see how much I’ve spent in each category. I have a feeling that I’ll be using this budgeting app for a long time.

Clean looking and easy to use. I like the customizable categories with different colors and clean looking layout. It is easy to navigate and use. However, I wouldn’t recommend for family households unless you want to upgrade to premium subscription. Everyone has to make money though! I’ll stick with Excel for my family budget but would recommend this app for anyone who doesn’t mind paying the extra fee.

Used for one day..... I really liked this app. Felt as though it is very intuitive and the different aspects of it flow together very well, however as I began entering my different expenses the period stopped working. It is as if this one button controls everything else because then other stuff stopped working such as the number buttons the enter button, and then the whole app freezes. I tried uninstalling the app, but the issue persisted so I’m looking for something different...

Best budgeting app. I looked for a while for an app that is simple enough to want to use daily and this app does that after many tries with others. It also manages to do it with style and a well designed UI. If you are looking to budget and keep track of your money without having to connect bank accounts and getting too deep, this is the app for that.

Feedback and a possible Suggestion. I really like this app, I got the premium ver so I can keep track on my households budget. With that in mind however, assuming there isn’t an option for this already, could a “Due Date” Reminder option be available when creating new expense categories. It would help so much in keeping those on the budget on track and in the know as to when a deadline for an expense is. Thanks!

Changed my life!. I’m launching my own business so have to be very careful with what I spend. Love the simplicity of the app, I have tried so many before and they want you to pay from the get go. This one is worth every penny once you check it out. I’m also using it as a diary... as I know which places I went to, food I ate so can see if I’ve been good with my choices. Just crazy good! Thank you 🙏

This update is mostly about fine-tuning to keep your budgeting running as smoothly as possible. A few highlights include: - Gives a new and fresh look to settings views throughout the app - Fixes a problem where accepting an invite to a shared budget would fail under certain circumstances - Fixes a problem where a long budget name would sometimes overflow outside of the screen
