Simple, Useful, Everything I wanted…. Been testing various “Taxi Meter” apps for a couple months now. Came across this one using the search term “meter”. From the moment I opened it everything has been exactly what I wanted in a meter app and I just discovered the Square payment connection which was more than I expected. This app will be very useful to me for quite some time to come and ends my search.

Hopeful chance. This app is just beautiful in its simplicity. It works in every aspect and I like that it allows comparison based on your location. I only have a couple of suggestions that could improve its usefulness. I would add two custom fares instead of one. I would also add a field for tolls and airport fees. Lastly a way to export the wonderful trip chart for the clients reference to their email.

Love it but.... It’s missing the option to provide discounts at the end of the ride.

Helpful for both drivers & riders!. Thanks for making this app. I'm sure as the word gets out it'll be a hit. I'm so glad you added some great functionality to this app. The ability to manually change the rates is a plus. This is a great way to double check the drivers app. It's also helpful if you only want to spend a few bucks and walk the rest of the way home. Having a way to save past trips is awesome. You've come a long way!

1Nite Stand rideshare service. I think it works great ! I mean it an I don’t work for the company

I don’t like this app. I don’t understand why they don’t have a option to cancel the subscription, I’ve been trying to figure this out and I just don’t understand.. I’ve been getting charged for this app and I have not been using their service. I wish someone can help me with this because I’m tired of them taking my money for Something I’m not using.

cannot chang currency in non-pro version. Helpful app but not allowing change if currency unit in base non-pro version is a really big minus. Imagine giving your phone to a non-English speaking senior citizen of the family to take a ride: the rest of the phone's interface is easily changed to another language, but then this app "localizes" the currency to that language too, not allowing the non-pro user to see the fare in the actual local currency (USD). A royal pain in the ****.

Easy to use. Amazing app!

Wonderful and Vital.... This app is amazing for all of its qualities; great for commuting and travels. The custom prices are useful as well for getting gypsy cabs which is great against fraud. The developers have gone above and beyond for thee selfless acts. Nonetheless, it has some back draws which are that every now and then the gps mileage does not run and you have to close the app and open it again. Overall they have my approval and they should have yours when you start using it. P.s if the developers can create an app similar to this one but for cab drivers such my self it would be great. The best app for taxis. If you’re running a taxi service you need this app in your life. It’s everything you need to run your business, great interface and awesome features. Super happy this exists.

Great app. I love the fact that this app is able to store history of your rides. This is a great feature because you could pull up history of your rides at the end of the day. This is also useful in logging your business trip mileage for the day. I sure would recommend this app to all.

Poor Execution Of Service.. The app doesn’t work efficiently or as designed. The rates or not as is on ride share platform. The receipts are not sent out and you can not even download the receipt to attach to a invoice or email or text manually. I keep paying the subscription hoping that this app with an amazing looking platform would upgrade and correct issues. But after 8 months I am about to give it another month before I cancel subscription!

Great audit when using Uber/Lyft. Of course philosophically speaking there is always room to improve but this app does a great job of making sure your ride fare jives when using Uber or Lyft. On top of that the custom feature allows a driver to input values and meter a drive if not using one of the other ride share apps. There are private customers and business done outside of the ride share gig that came way before these apps and UberMeter is a convenient way to be consistent with those rates. Great app and certainly I hope will get better with features that allow real time rate updating based on demand etc.

Keep erasing my history of the trips. Hi , I like the app , it works well , but I can't see the history of my trip just right the next day , how can I make the app keeping the history of my trips longer then 24 hours??!! I checked all the features on the app , support, history, custom fair ,, Nothing ,, would you please let me know ,, thanks ,,

Problems since ios 13. It seems that gps tracing has stopped working since i updated my phone to ios 13. Been using app for 2 years and its great but please fix this bug.

Fix the problem. I will be honest with you I love this app but the only problem is sometimes it doesn’t work very well so you guys need to fix the problem because sometimes says they Internet network is not working how come my phone it’s a full charge it with the Internet I have the best company Verizon and sometimes it doesn’t work if you guys fix the problem it’s the best thing ever happened for me because I am Lyft driver and Uber driver and also drive for my own company

This app was great until all the functions stopped performing. First the Uber app stop working!!!! Now it won’t track mileage... this is really frustrating! I’ve been a subscriber for sometime now paying for the premium app! I’m done !!!!!!!

Cool app. I'm not sure if the people giving it poor reviews understand what the point of this app is, but it's pretty helpful. Would be better if I could compare during the ride which route would've been cheaper (like if Lyft would be better than uber for this route in the future).

Screen fitting problem. It’s a good app. But you need to update it and fix the screen settings for iPhone X. I change from Uber to lyft cuz it’s all the way up and not clickable.

Dude! This app is awesome!. I just started using this app but I really do think that they built it very well and put in a lot of features. There’s really no other app like it the Taximeter app that I tried before this was super ghetto compared to this. There is no comparison this is the best app that I have downloaded in a long time thank you very much for creating this app and consider charging $.99 for it in the future at least.

Support for this app is trash. I’ve used it twice, when it comes to tracking and estimating the trip cost, is kind of decent, it would never show me Uber fares, I’ve already email support about this issue and they haven’t even bother in answering, now I emailed them back two days ago because I’m not able to generate a receipt for my customer even though I’ve been paying for the pro version of the app for over 4 months without even needing it. If you want to use it to track time and distance and estimate a trip cost, it’s kind of fair. Remember, Lyft rates only. Never relay on it to generate a receipt. You would be screwed like I am

I love it but it needs delete options. I love this app it’s great for my business and makes things easier but sometimes you need to be able to delete fares so you can keep accurate log, could someone please add a delete button to individual rides in ride history? If that option was available I would have no other complaint, otherwise I recommend this app

Misleading Title. The app is for Uber and Lyft. Nothing close to a regular taxi.

Useless to me. Offered only Uber and Lyft data. My storage real estate is at a prime so apps worth keeping are apps that provide unique value. I don't want apps that only provide information I can get from apps I already have.

Great for drivers, too!. Edit: I originally rated 5 Stars but have to reevaluate to 3 Stars after weekly or more wrong price on at least the base and possibly time and mileage for NYC UberX. I don't even bother using their UberX screen anymore. I just set up a custom fare and use that. I wanted to do multiple fares for surge but they want $5/month subscription for that. Not worth it, IMO. I'd do it for $5 one time, which is what I thought it was going to be until they warned of subscription. I'll just use my brain or a calculator. Original review: Now I can see how much I earn while on trips. Fantastic and easy to use. The app was able to plug in rates for both Uber and Lyft according to my location.

Cool when it works..... I downloaded this app in case any of my friends wanted to pay cash for a taxi but didn't want to pay too much. Uber doesn't provide for my town and a taxi costs $8 flat rate. The first thing I noticed was that more often than not when I hit "start trip" the app doesn't track my location. It behaves like I'm standing still. I have to close the app, restart it, and hit start ride again and hope it works. The most I've had to do this was 3 times. The app has permission from my settings to track my location when in use. No idea why this is happening. Also.... I drive for UberX in another town. The prices are wrong. I checked. It keeps wanting to add fees and nonsense.... If you are using the app to check non-surge prices while riding, set up the custom fare: .15c per minute, .85c per mile, $1 base. This is charged by Uber, not the driver. Out of this total, 28-29 percent goes to Uber, and the rest goes to the driver.

Still waiting for it to work. *Update* Now it's working and it works well. This app hasn't even started working since I added it to my iPhone 6 two weeks ago. I tried to delete it and I can't for some reason. On my phone it's dark and says "waiting" which means nothing to me except that it doesn't work. How do I either get it to work or delete it from my iPhone???

Taximeter. The app it’s ok but to much information is so confusing to many instructions I don’t recommend

Works as advertised - I think?. Has done a great job so far, after a few rides I can say that it's pretty accurate. Not that I expect their meter to be inaccurate or somehow rigged, just using this out of curiosity. Docked one star because it doesn't really accommodate for Uber "surges" and primarily use Uber. I am a little confused though, assuming this is NOT. The Pro version and that I'm not going to get charged $4.99 out of the blue one day. I agreed to no such "subscription" so that would be theft by deception at the very least. That said, and assuming I'm using the non "Pro" version, it's a very well designed app that works great.

Good App but.... I haven't tested the app against an actual Uber ride but two things come to mind as I been trying it. 1.- The minimum Uber ride is $5 regardless of distance and time. This can be overseen knowing that any amount under that you are still going to pay $5 2.- The app doesn't account for tolls and this is a serious issue since any tolls paid by the driver are directly charged to the passenger and added to the final fare and in some instances the "return home" tolls are also charged, like in NYC if you cross over to NJ you will be charged the toll fee for the tunnel plus the return toll fee for the driver to get back to NYC. So basically anyone traveling from NYC to NJ will have a $20 difference to what the app says. Most passengers don't know this and they may feel cheated and it may become an issue when whatever they are charged differs from what the app says. Basically if you are aware of how many tolls and how much has been paid for them just add them to the final amount and you shouldn't have any problems calculating your fare. This is why I'm giving this app 4 stars and seriously considering giving it only 3.

Needs work good idea. The display should not show to customers what fare model is being used . IE: Uber x Uber black etc . Also more receipt fare should be clear

No communication. Absolutely poor communication from the developers.. I was trying to implement this meter app for my airport taxi service and I can’t access the console. Sent two emails and I’m still waiting on a response.

Make money easily. Simply amazing 💯

Shuts off. It’s unfortunate that the app shuts off after a certain time making your fares disappear after 4-5 hours

Needs work. This app has promise but while it says it works for Uber in the description, it doesn’t. Keeps saying it’s not available for Uber. Checked Uber app for available cars, there are least five cars right outside my door so it can’t be because there are no drivers around. It’s your app.

Does not connect with your Square clients in your account. When you are trying to keep a record on who just used your service all you have a blank receipt with only what was paid to you. Not worth $5. or $4.99 thru Apple yet if that’s corrected worth $7.00.

Great app. This App is great. You can do your own trips calculate UberX, UberXL or UberSELECT or even edit your own price then charge your riders witch cash, PayPal or Square

Needs work. Can't add tolls.. I want to be able to edit fees after the trip has completed so I can add any tolls incurred along the way. Would be nice if this app actually navigated too with options to avoid tolls and/or highways.

A decent and useful app.. Not without its flaws, this app is great for finding out the price of your fare for both passengers and partners in real time. As a driver, the only problem is you have to juggle between this and your navigation/Uber app. Would be awesome to somehow link this with your start and end times within uber and somehow integrate it with the Uber app. However, with the limitations of iOS this is no doubt a bit of a stretch.

It’s nice. Its good for real life and a fake taxi simulator. Setting your custom fees is nice. Just set your price per km to 0 and price per min up more. Anyways it’s good. Dunno if it’s legal to use a unofficial taxi app for ur Uber. Pretty sure u must use ur Uber app. Anyways rlly good for fake taxi as well tho

App says UBER not available. Cannot start meter in app due to the button being greyed out and says “Uber not available” - I’m an Uber driver and I can re assure you, it certainly is available!! Not happy!!!

Great App! Check For Surge Pricing!. A great App for Tracking your UberX and/or Uber XL route using Google Maps, while also letting you know your fare as you travel to your destination! I always use this and the fares are almost exactly what I can expect to pay after the trip is over. Check for Surge Pricing though. Sometimes the App doesn't take that into consideration unless you've opened the Uber App first (so if you're a friend using the meter, and your friend is the one who called Uber, your fare won't reflect the actual price if Surge Pricing is in effect. OK. Can't really depend on it because it stops calculating the trip 75% of the time. If it worked every time it would be great. I would like to be able to change the surge rate before starting the trip instead of after, that would make it much better.

A good app for private cab drivers too!. The "Custom" selectable tab item is what sold me on this app. I assume that when used in conjunction with a credit card processing app/device, that this application will serve my entrepreneurial endeavors quite well.

Awesome!. This app is awesome and it helps me avoid surprises at the end of my Lyft or Uber ride. I wish it had an option to prevent the phones sleep timer from shutting down the app. On a long ride the app shut down because the phone screen was off

Meter Pro. Great for helping passengers keeping tab on the bill and making sure what the final bill says is accurate. I don't think it should cost $5/a month for the Pro as someone who likes having the unlimited features of applications

UBER Meter Is Great!. I tested the "Start & End" using my personal auto with location - relocation accuracy. So far, so good. 'Can't wait to test the program on a "Live Run."

Excellent Tool for the Job. This app has been a wonderful "warm fuzzy" producer. Allowing me to track my trip and rate relieves me of those nagging "is this rate right and fair " issues I used to have when using Uber. It is a great independent verification of my costs. I very much recommend it.

Just what I was looking for. Strange that Lyft doesn't make this standard in their app, but good for this person to invent it. Simple, easy to use, did just what I wanted.

A Little Confusing. I am a passenger, not a driver and thought this App was created, so I can check and see if my driver was charging correctly. The start-up screen give you a start fare for UberX, Denver, however the fare kept starting at Surge multiplier which I have no idea what that means and could not clear the start screen to start at a minimum fare. Let's not even start about paying for a subscription service- should be free or minimum cost of no more than $4.99. I deleted the app.

Helpful !. The name should be Trip Meter, Ride Meter or something like that. UBER is not general name. This app works for all companies. It works well. Easy to use and setup. I wish it had an option for estimate because It is really helpful specially for Lyft passengers.

Trying out new things. I'm a caregiver and taxi to a lot of people. I'm looking forward to seeing how this app works. I wish I could see an estimated price and type in addresses to see where I'm actually going. Just trying out the free version, but if I like it I'll upgrade.

App Carshes. The app crashes when ever i press start ride or see fare prices. Im using this in Pakistan. Please fix it. And after ending ride in the history it should show the route map which ive taken and the complete fare breakdown also it would be better like when i check the uber app for history rides it shows the rides with a map route taken and fare breakdown

Nice app.. Works as described, very helpful when you want to know how much the trip will cost while your on the ride. It picks up your location and you can watch the progress of your trip.

Can't change city. I need to request a ride for my parents in LA. However, the problem is I'm currently in China. This app only lets me see the rates of the city I'm currently located in. I can't change it to a different city. Therefore, I cannot use this app. Please allow users to view the rates of a different city, not just the city they are in.

Simply Amazing. I am out of words to describe how great this app is. I am an Uber driver and over time I have accumulated customers who prefer to ride with me due to my treatment. I paid $5 dollars and all of sudden now I accept credit cards too. My customers love me..Thank you Meter Pro!

A Must Have For Ride Share Drivers. I love this app it's works great! You can set it up with your own custom rates & fees or use Lyft/Uber rates. Easy to use. Highly recommend this app.

Could be better with Google Maps- like settings. Could be better if you could calculate your ride ahead of time via distance by setting the start and ending locations. Could also calculate by time by using the google maps approximation; which is pretty accurate

Good idea. So yea you have a great idea on this but I think you can make it better by adding feature that lets ppl put in their pickup location and destination which will help one decide how much is uber vs Lyft vs taxi before they pick a service. Please add that feature if it's not too much trouble

Smart App!. This forward thinking app is smart and provides comprehensive information not only for the Uber Partner but, is an invaluable tool for those savvy Uber Riders. . . . and it's FREE!

Impressed but room to grow. A lot of great features. I like to use it when my boys want too many rides and I need gas money. Being able to make a custom fair is clutch. The whole 5 bucks a month tho is utter BS. I would pay up to 10 bucks as a flat rate for a pro version but I don't like the monthly thing.

Uber vs. RideBLK. I have a small black car company & as much as Uber want us out of business & become their slaves apps like this help us out. I show my clients that they save money AND get way better service.

Great app with few potential improvements. But very helpful. Excellent. Fills a void in the uber app well. Would appreciate the inclusion of tolls, airport fees, etc well and seamlessly. Still, 5 stars.

Intuitive and Simple. This is a very easy to use app. I wish it had the ability to estimate the fair based on inputting two addresses, but it is basically just a simple app that calculates the fair based on when you press start and stop.

Beyond bad/\$$. Well I haven't been robbed or killed, and I've made 70$ in the first 2 hours of using this app. So far I am very satisfied. Great product!

Cool app to use for personal reference.. Does the job and it's easy to use. You have to be diligent about using this app or there is no point. Sometimes I'll turn it on right before a long ride just so I can know what I'm looking forward to.

This app is great!. Now any one can charge passengers without the help of uber. All you need is this app and a car and you've got your very own taxi company! Just hang out at airports, hotels, high schools etc and you can pick up anyone looking for a taxi.

Amazingly Accurate. I have tried it in multiple cities and it's very accurate. All you have to do is to start the ride and end when the ride ends.

On Point!. Used it more than twice and the price came very close to the actual Uber fare. 5 stars!

Love this App. This app is very helpful, when I'm doing a taxi rate instead of a flat rate. The client knows the starting fee, the charge per mile and minutes upfront. No arguing about the final total of the fare. Highly recommend this app.

Love this app. Very accurate price it's at most off by $0.10 to $0.40 but that due to not starting the trip meter at same time as the driver

Confused. I have a place to put in settings for Lyft rides, but don't see anywhere to select Lyft as the ride I'm taking. What's the deal? For now I guess I'll just select uber & edit pricing accordingly....

Invaluable. Great app! Simple, easy to use interface. Excellent way to get the total breakdown of a Lyft or Uber fare in real time. Even saves trips for you automatically for later review at your convenience. Couldn't ask for more
