Great game BUT……. I have been playing this game since 2019. I absolutely love this game because the developer gives you several different games to choose from. If you tire of trying to beat one game you can try another. The graphics are outstanding and this is one of the most interesting games I’ve ever played. When I started there were no ads to contend with but I do understand the need to make money. They have put a lot of work into this to make it enjoyable so this is just a slight annoyance. The reason I took away one star is because the game gives you the opportunity to get 3 more moves if you watch an ad. Lately when I try to watch the ad the screen goes completely black & I have to close down the game & restart it; therefore, losing my chance to possibly win. Also, and this may be just my iPad since it’s older, but a lot of the ads come in upside down & since I play in landscape mode this is really annoying. All in all it is still a very fun game if they could fix these little bugs.

Fun game but expensive!. This is a fun interactive game with loads of extra challenges, however, it is not cheap to play. You blow through rubies for boosters and your purchase doesn’t last long if you play a lot. The difficulty increases obviously as go through the levels, which means you need more boosters. Yes, you can win boosters but it’s a double edge sword-it costs you to complete challenges to win the “free” boosters. While all games have a cost associated, this one is on the high end for sure. I enjoyed playing it and felt it offered a lot of challenges with great visuals. Unfortunately I had to give it up due to the cost to stay in the game, which is why I only gave it 3 stars. Suggestions: Players should be able to buy more than 3 boosters at a time. All special gems of different color should have a “reaction” when combined, rather than limiting special gems reaction only when completing a chain of same color.

Recent changes make this more frustrating than ever. Got into this game as it had an Apple Watch app as well as iPhone. Cute idea and fun but over time more and more frustrating. Recent changes have made it worse - namely reformatting the daily gifts to where a free 5 or 10 rubies is no longer an option and you no longer have a chance at getting items you need to complete a level. Instead, you get one bomb or maybe 30 minutes of infinite lives (something that goes to waste when I play on a 15 minute break at work - the infinite lives should have a pause function especially if the app is closed/force quit). This change in particular means it literally takes sometimes weeks to beat certain levels with no chance of getting an item to move on. The new pop ups that used to have a “Don’t show again” option urging you to continue (by spending rubies for more moves) no longer let you stop them from popping up and with every app update the wording changes to get more annoying. They used to only show up on weekends but now it’s constant. I get that apps try to make money but this game takes it to an extreme and that’s made it harder and harder to play with every update.

Pass on this. I went ahead and bit and downloaded this. It is very colorful but that is about it. There is not much else except having to play the same levels over and over in hopes you can pass it. I find the contests just more of the same. There is a small chance to win a small prize each day but there really needs to be more such as free gems for logging in each day. You need to complete puzzles to get building material except you may not get the material you need to continue. I’m not about to start grinding a match three type of game. The colorful atmosphere holds the attention for a short while but the ads about it being different are just not true. It’s still just a boring match three game wrapped in a pretty package. There is an attempt at a story but I find it hard to care about the characters dilemmas when I run out of moves over and over again and cannot save my place unless I use (read buy) gems. No gems you start the scene over, don’t get what you need you start the scene over. I’m sure this is fine for some I find the repetition just a yawner. Better would be to alternate types of puzzles not just a different match three. Pass on this bore fest and download The Room series, now that is how a puzzle game is done.

Really fun mysteries. Ok so this app is really fun you immediately get boosters that help you beat the first few levels I kept seeing ads for this game and thought 💭 well I do like mysteries then when I played it was exciting and fun most games have many many ads but this game has none! I was very happy 😊 about that and bonus most of their offers cost 1 dollar 😱can you believe that and the offers have tons of boosters and gems which is so awesome 👏🏻 I really like this game and recommend it to people who love mysteries and thrilling adventures and guess what else there are daily challenges and if you run out of boosters some of them only cost 5 gems 😱omg can you believe that and wait there’s more you can create your own avatar and neat name and it was very hard to pick Which avatar I wanted but I finally chose and I was very happy with my decision on getting this app sorry 😐 if this was a long review but I really had to tell the world about this awesome app thank the app owners for such an amazing game and when you’re bored this activity is a great game to play. Hope you enjoyed this review bye and give the credit to the creators 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍🥰😝😆I wish I could write more but there is too much fun I want to get back to playing this game bye

Really Irritated. Hello, I downloaded this game about 3 weeks ago. I have spent approximately $50 on this game buying rubies. I love playing this game but I have been trying to pass the same 3 levels for 3 days. Now guaranteed I could pay $8.99 for a safe full of rubies and pass these levels. Unfortunately I can’t pay anymore money to this or any other game. I am on a fixed income. Spending that money on a game is just down right stupid. It is really unfair to any player to have to spend money to win!! Will I keep playing? I really haven’t decided yet. You should have a way to earn rubies and get them for playing a level. Not by people paying for them! People like me who are disabled, seniors etc that are home a lot like to play games. At some point it gives us a sense of fulfillment to finish hard levels or even an entire game. If we can pass the levels. Please restructure your game and add in free rubies!!!! I want to continue playing. I don’t want to play the same levels day after day because I refuse to pay more money for rubies. A response would be nice but because this isn’t a 5 star review I doubt anybody will take the time to write back to me. Have a great day!! KJV

Really fun but seems a little rigged. Okay so this game is genuinely fun and the animation is so cute and I love the music. I love how many different “quests” you can do to keep the main story from getting boring. HOWEVER, even the easy levels are just way too hard to win without a ton of power ups and extra rubies saved up. It does feel like the game is rigged a little bit that all the possible matches just sit at the top of the board and you end up using all your moves just to try and get some matches near the bottom or next to items you’re trying to break. It’s almost impossible to win any of these levels in one shot and it feels like it’s done that way on purpose to get you to spend money on extra lives or power ups. I do love the game but if I can’t advance there’s no point in playing. Even the “easy” levels take me dozens of tries and I’m fairly good at these types of games.

App Closes Automatically-Groundhogs Day. ROUND 2….So the app is closing automatically AGAIN. It has been doing it for about a week now. This is the second time I have had this problem within the past month. Last time I was credited some unlimited hours of lives and boosters, although the amounts were not disclosed, it was appreciated. I really enjoy playing this game, however, it is my belief, the developers aren’t willing to fix these issues in an older game. Essentially, they have moved on to bigger and better apps as to make (take) more of the customers money. I have spent well over $400 (or more) on in app purchases since downloading app (appx 1 yr ago). As a pay for services, I should be able to utilize the services I paid for. When the game closes automatically, I lose any boosters and lives utilized during that game play. Nothing is/has EVER been restored (except the undisclosed amounts of boosters & hours mentioned above). This is a ripoff, please don’t waste your time or money on this app. I have deleted the app and will never download ANY app from this developer again!!!

We should able to get friends to send us buildings items!. I really enjoy this game. I love the holiday theme doors and side mission puzzles. The love the new daily prize clock that we collect and gives us opportunities to get rubies. I also love collecting jigsaw puzzle pieces to create pictures and turning them in and getting at least 24 hours of free energy. While I do enjoy this game, I also issues. The main issue is not being able request items from your friends that you have to have for the completing the buildings. I am stuck on a building I have been working on for over 2 months. I can not get what I need like keys or other items and I can’t request it. In fact, I only go and play on the holiday theme levels or doors missions because it is so unbelievably frustrating not getting anywhere on a game. When the new 7 days clock was introduced, there was a option for us to ask and send requests for building items from our Facebook friends. I really enjoyed this feature and so did my friends who played.

Beautiful game but greed has certainly taken over…. Update: once again I am getting inundated with ads. Give us an option to play with no ads - I would gladly pay that, in fact I thought I had when I first started playing years ago. And the developers are still giving us the option of paying money to get gems and boosts, but wow has the price gone UP. If we spend $44 we get the privilege of 24 hours of unlimited play with boosts. $44? Are you kidding me? I used to spend money every week on this game. No more. Greed has clearly taken over. As a long time daily player and weekly spender I am so disappointed. I love Clockmaker! It’s ridiculous how much I used to play - completely addicting. That said, I have reduced my rating from 5 stars to 2. Why? Simple. The unbelievable number of ads now. Every 2-3 turns you have to sit through an ad. I understand that the developers want to make money, but it is just terrible how many ads there are now, particularly featuring violent games. I actually spend money on this app, purchasing extra coins, etc., so I do not appreciate being made to watch ads. Make an ad-free version of this game. I would buy that, but I find myself playing less now. Also rewards have been reduced. Overall, what started out as a calm, but challenging game with beautiful graphics has devolved into a money pit. So disappointing.

Frustrated player. I love this game and have been playing it for a very long time and especially love to play those side games you offer for a limited number of days and it usually has 20 levels but it’s one thing to make the levels have a certain degree of difficulty but your developer goes overboard and makes it impossible to reach level 20. I was able to do it only once and I’ve lost count of how many of those games I’ve played. Right now the one I’m playing is called Cosmic Mirage and I got to level 5, and it’s literally impossible to get through it. You guys placed those balloons that expired after a few counts and when there are still about 20 moves you just can’t get to them to stop them from blowing up. I enjoy the challenge of your puzzles but sometimes it gets so difficult and frustrating that it becomes unpleasant to play. I have several friends that play this game and feel the same way. I’m probably going to get rid of your app and look for another puzzle as clever as yours but not developed to cause frustration instead of enjoyment!

Please fix the crashing!. I’ve been playing this game for a while now. I really appreciated that there were no forced ads, but you could choose to watch them for bonus things. Then they added forced ads after every game (like all the others). Alas, I continued playing. I am not interested in the story lines, I typically skip through those, but I enjoy most of the auxiliary games and challenges that keep me from getting bored when the main games become impossible to beat (even with tons of help). It’s enough to cure the occasional boredom. Until recently. The game crashes all the time now, especially when you need to win that game to get a good bonus, then you lose that bonus and a life when you go back it. It’s gotten to the point where I can almost anticipate which games it’s going crash on, like the program is designed to prevent people from winning certain things. I’ve tried to wait out a couple updates hoping the problem would be fixed, but it’s getting quite infuriating. I do like this game, but the crashing has got to stop!

Confusing & hard to succeed,0.. I love a challenging game, however. This game is more challenging than most. The storyline is a nice touch and I like that it is there to make the game more interesting, but there’s is not a logical guide to follow in terms of what to play next, so you take a guess and may play out of sequence so the story is hard to understand. In regards to the game levels, if you do not win them the first time, they become increasingly harder to win and unless you spend money to buy the extra tools to win, you will never advance in the game. I have never had a game start out so hard and the more I play, and lose, because there is no guide, it makes this game confusing and hard to play. I rated this game a three as I see a lot of potential, and I liked that each game had different objectives and each game was different to play. Now if it was easier to win at the beginning levels and to story and game sequences easier to logically follow, I’d play it more.

Ish.. So. Few. Moves. Those limited moves are what makes this something you work at. I’ve played similar jewel-matching/busting games that are much easier, and as a puzzle-lover, I like that the matching puzzles are limited in a challenging way. But I’m not really into the story. (I also thought this was a game with a few different kinds of puzzle games because it reminded me so much of another storied puzzle game of mystery.) So. When you take the story away, you get a satisfyingly (occasionally infuriatingly, ha) challenging puzzle. And time limits. And pop-ups offering packages to purchase. And other eerily familiar challenges that have mini-stories I don’t care about that are supposed to encourage us forward with the hopes that we’ll win prizes. And I’m sure some do! I’m just not willing to waste money in order to say I won rewards I didn’t have to pay money for. I remember seeing a response to a user who loves this game after he wrote a review saying this is meant to make the Clockmaker team money. It was made clear that they wanted consumers to be able to enjoy the challenging gameplay regardless of what’s in your wallet. And you can... but you’d have to be much brighter than THIS gamer to be able to solve certain challenges without eventually paying out. All said, I’m just not invested enough to spend any more time adjusting and improving strategy. I’m off to solve a word scramble. Later! -I- hope you have a good day... but I won’t tell you what to do. 😋🤍

I really wanted to like this game.. I did the thing I don’t normally do and downloaded this from an ad that popped up on another game I have installed. The environment and atmosphere are great as is the music. It’s a little hard to qualify the typical pick 3 game format as puzzle or a game of chance in some cases. This one lies squarely in the games of chance category. I’ve seen reviews where the devs tout their constant attention to level balance and strive for challenging levels. However, there is a point in the game, where you will start to hit levels that are ONLY possible to complete with the use of upgrades and items in the game...and that’s ok. It is free, but you have the choice to buy those upgrades and pay to move the story forward. There are a lot of opportunities to win these items and upgrades in weekly challenges, but in the end it becomes a grind to move the story forward as opposed to enjoying a casual game to pass some time. I have since uninstalled the game, but I would say enjoy the first part of the experience. It was fun, but then it wasn’t.

Expensive Pay to Play with an extra side of extreme frustration. After a few levels you can’t win without boosts which are way to expensive for what you get. Even with the boosts you can’t always win. Waste of money. Also the most recent change took away the Ice Breaker boost which was actually helpful and exchanged it with a useless “hand” that only allows you to exchange two adjacent tiles. Practically useless. Obviously the developers are ONLY in it for the money. They aren’t listening to customer comments or complaints. If you want to spend lots of money to be frustrated and aggravated this is the game for you. But hey, they have pretty graphics. And I don’t believe those 5 star reviews are from players. Most are a few words or a couple of sentences that could be about any game. Are people doing these reviews as a favor or for compensation of some kind? Because they are not at all believable.

Am I the only one. I have been playing for about a year. I’m not a fan of match 3 games, but it’s something different to play. And honestly, I enjoy this one. Over the past 4-6 weeks, problems. First, would select to watch an ad for 3 extra moves, or a pet, or any reward. Watch the ad, get nothing. Then the ads stopped completely. Now, over the past few days, ads are playing or trying to play, but are glitching. Between levels and trying for reward. And still no reward. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. It said it restored my position, but it didn’t do that either. I was in the second set of houses, with the ferry. Now back trying to get through the houses again, to get to the clock tower, to get to the next town. And I have to win each level with no help. I have never and will never purchase anything. That is part of the challenge Doing with what you’ve got. FIX this PLEASE!!! UPDATE: I received a response from the developer through Apple. I cannot contact the developer directly. The “contact the developer” link, in the email, is a link to Facebook. I am not on Facebook and do not care to join. Is there another way? Updating review was all I could come up with.

Enjoy the game, but crashing every level is frustrating. I really enjoy this game and have A LOT of time invested. However, In the past month it’s been consistently crashing almost every time I start a new level. I contacted support and they recommended I go into my phone privacy/security settings and send them my log data for this game. I’m not comfortable doing that since I don’t know enough to know what the logs are storing. And if it’s in my privacy/security settings I feel like it’s meant to stay private and secure. The most frustrating thing is that when the game crashes, it wastes the powers ups I was using in that particular level. And it decreases any reward I might have earned for completing the level in one try because when I go back in after the crash it counts as a second (or third) try. I’ve updated and deleted and reinstalled the app and am still experiencing this bug. I’m writing this review in the hopes that the designer sees it and investigates the bug (without me having to disclose my log info). The game is fun. It is entertaining. And I do really enjoy it or I would’ve just deleted it because of the frustration instead of leaving a review and hoping for a fix.

Adds. Ok I get it. The adds help pay for the development of the game. I’m not really angry about it like I was in the beginning. Despite the adds that won’t close no matter how many times you flip back and forth between the App Store and the X causing me to have to turn off and restart my phone just to clear it out so I can play. Or even the ones that seem to constantly pop up between games when I have free lives or tools like Black Cat or the like. Today I had an add that didn’t even take me to the App Store. It wasn’t even an add for another game. It actually directed me to an on line add for educational purposes. I have spent a year or better playing this game and have even spent money. I’ve also had friends that have started playing, which I might add that I still have no idea on how to add them to my friends list. The App Store add are one thing but online adds are enough to make me delete the game for good.

Fun But Too Complicated…. I enjoy matching, but the basis of the game still makes no sense to me, even after playing almost daily for a year. I also think there are some bugs or issues with the scoring algorithm. It will sometimes say I won a round (light bar), yet the number of rounds won do not increase in the tally. It took winning two rounds to go from 5 to 6 out of 7, and scoring on 7 looks like it’s going to be mission impossible (time to play a round is cut extremely short so that even with many flashing bombs and longing bolts, I’m not getting anywhere the required score to win (not remotely within striking distance). Also, certain moves that may score a point (or points) one time do not score points when repeated (like when a bomb goes off or lightning strikes)…especially if you are at the end of around and winning. I still don’t know if I am playing against time or number of moves. Also, it would be more fun if they raised the required score and extended the time or moves a little longer so you could play out your strategies.

The only game I play now. Ok so I used to have like 6 games that I cycled through on a daily basis. I am now down to just this one because it is my favorite. I have been playing for roughly 8 months and I’m so excited to have almost cleared the first map. Not sure why there is so much negativity for this app. There is always a mini event going on or 4 or 5 at the same time (I love when they do that because I end up with like 72 hours of lives and my weekend gets shot to heck 😂) with chances to win hours of free lives, boosters and materials to make it to the next building. There is a daily spin with a free gift and of course there is always the option for in app purchases. The train event is always one of my favorites. I love the steampunk design and the music so much. I would love to get a change up of music for special events or the option to change it every once in a while for something different but then I’m like “ya know what, don’t change a thing because it’s great”. Just an idea. Keep doing what you do, the content is fabulous and thank you for a game that keeps me interested!

Impossible to advance without spending money. Two stars for a beautiful game, but almost immediately, the difficulty is unreasonable. Unless you win, you don't get the extra boosts that help you win... They recently added clans so you could ask for extra lives but if you didn't use them quickly enough, they vaporized. Now, we're still asking for lives, but as of late October 2020, the section to access them is just gone. What's the point? It just isn't fun to work this hard and make so little progress. I've played for months only because I've got a weird OCD and hate to walk away from something I've invested so much time in but after a clan chat and learning I'm not alone in my disgust, I think it's time to delete and move on. Side note: Why do the ads for this game (the ones we suffer through in other games) have almost nothing to do with the actual game? They picture challenges you will NEVER see if you play. Maybe you should work harder to make the game less frustrating than devoting so much energy to what's essentially false advertising?

Great Zen experience. This app is fantastic if your seriously into Zen meditation. It has a lovely musical background, which I find soothing and I enjoy the lay out. That’s the only thing good about this game. It’s very clear that the owners goal is to “try” to get rich. Everything in the game is designed to Force you to buy extra... to beat a level, or it can take months for someone to do so. And they are very stingy about their rewards and gifts for daily logins. Also, repeatedly, I beat a level, and it shows that I got five rubies, but they are never added to my collection of gems. Truthfully, I am embarrassed by how much I like this game for practically no rewards for progress. I have purchased gems in the past, and they literally vanished. When I wrote them about it, I never got a response. I will never give them money again. Whoever writes their algorithms designed them so that you frequently get down to one or two gems left to clear, but you cannot, most of the time, get what you need. It’s greedy game owners - who don’t care if you aren’t wealthy enough to keep wasting your money. As a retired senior on a fixed income, who is currently fighting cancer my budget is tight. I really like this game, but it’s coding and algorithms are clearly designed to make you spend money to progress with any expediency. I’m ashamed to tell anyone how much I play this game and how greedy they are compared to other game apps.

Generally enjoy, ads getting obnoxious. I’ve been playing this game on and off for a couple years. In general the game is fun and the art and characters are fun and high quality. There is a *bit* of a cringe factor with the various racially/ethnically/culturally stereotyped sub-characters that appear for special events, but maybe I’m just being too woke. However, I’ve been enjoying the game less and less due to ad proliferation. It used to be that ad content was only required when you opted to watch a video for a boost or some other bonus. However, starting maybe six months ago or so ads are now shoved down your throat randomly when you finish levels - regardless of whether you win or not. Just trying to close out of a level can now prompt an inescapable ad. It’s so frustrating. I don’t want to have to watch some solitaire ad promising me “real money” when all I want to do is get back to the main map. And to be clear, I have gladly spent actual money on this game to purchase boosts or during special promotions to get boosts and gems (the game’s in-game currency). I have no problem with giving them a little bit of my money to enjoy their game now and then. But the marked proliferation of unclosable ads that randomly interrupt my gameplay makes me not want to play the game, which means they don’t get my money often anymore either.

Fun game but winning too much leads to no advancements. I’ve been playing Clockmaker for a while now and I’ve really enjoyed it. Now it seems as though I always lose a level by one or two moves. It’s gotten frustrating over the past couple weeks now to the point I feel as though the game is “throttling me” to slow down my advancement. It feels as though I need to purchase gems to continue play on a level that I can almost beat. This is by far the best match 3 game I’ve tried and I love it but t may be time to throw in the towel. Thanks Clockmaker developers, outstanding game. Maybe a bit too good. Update: Finally deleted this game when I was forced to play Bingo. I couldn’t win without using multiple boosters and as I stated above, the same thing continued to happened, always one match left so I would need to pay 5 jewels to get more moves. Also, the ads became overwhelming. Some of the games advertised were absolutely disgusting to look at. Violent and way over sexualized. BTW I did make it pretty far (Darkchester) before I quit.

I’m quite enjoying this…but. …. Everyone knows I love a good game of bejeweled, which this essentially is, with a side of story/mystery/side quests. Super fun! My “buts” are: 1. Why are rubies not awarded when you compete levels or restore a building or something more frequent than occasionally putting them in a “you win on the first try!” reward box? Yes, you can purchase packs, but it would be a good way to keep people playing (and for kids, who don’t have a way to pay for them. If you need them to extend lives, etc, this seems like a no-brainer. 2. For the love of God, WHY do I need to smash every single square clock face thing three or more times to collect it?!?! I can see a few special ones per level but EVERY single one is downright angering. Especially when you need rubies to extend your moves! Edit: And, I just thought of something else! A way to use rubies to collect things like hammers and lightning, etc. would be excellent.

Combination of good and bad. This may be the most graphically beautiful game ever created. In the past it was my favorite game. Then Sam, the developer, decided to introduce the timed bomb element, which immediately killed all the fun. The game had previously been challenging, and very hard to win, but it WAS winnable. With the bombs, it was no longer winnable. And, in addition, it forced you to click maniacally with no thought. The original game allowed you to think things through. I gave it a bad review, and was graced with a sarcastic response from “Sam”, the developer, I suppose. There have been some changes. They have created special quests which don’t have the bombs, and, if you are good enough to win them, you are rewarded with massive free playing time. And, I mean up to 24 hours of it of it. However, the catch is that the quest games only show up AFTER 24 hours or so, and, to use the fee time, you have to play the unwinnable ones. So, I don’t do that. I only play the special quests, which means that most of the free time I win is wasted. The bombs are a crass attempt to squeeze cash out of us, to enable us to continue to play. It has killed off the most beautiful game online. The special games are winnable, barely, but the bombed ones are not. Unfortunate turn of events. I miss the old version.

Beware Low Visioners!. This game looked great in preview so I downloaded it. However, when I began to play I struggled to see the puzzles or read the text. I understand that they are going for a specific look and feel for the storyline but they failed some basic design concepts for those with vision problems. I have a standard iPhone 8 fir screen comparison running the latest iOS. I already adjusted my phone for my low vision but the game doesn't seem to adjust. The printed text is tiny much too small for most people to read without straining. Next, the text is dark brown on tan background which doesn't provide enough contrast to read easily. Finally, add in some small screen components and dark artwork. Complete recipe for disaster if you have vision difficulties. Sadly I will be removing the game because straining my vision isn't worth the play through. After only 3 minutes of play, I ended up with eye strain and headache. If you don't have vision issues this game story seems worth a try but if you do you should move onto something a but easier to play.

Ridiculous Amount of Ads. I used to love this game, not only because it was great to play without constant ad interruption but because it’s constantly changing and just downright fun. However, recently, the amount of ads has become simply annoying and frustrating. I’m done. Just now after playing all of 5 minutes tops and winning, an ad popped up in Spanish only and I could not get it to go away. I don’t speak Spanish and didn’t want to click on something that ended up in my buying something I didn’t intend to purchase so the only way to close the ad was to research the words in the boxes to find the translation. Closing the app just brought the ad right back to my screen. I’ve had it with this game. I spend more time watching the stupid ads than I do playing. I don’t mind them now and then because I do realize I am playing for free, but lately it’s ad overkill… and the games the ads are showing are the same thing over and over. OMG…how many times must I be subjected to these ridiculous games where unwed mothers make stupid decisions that nobody in real life would ever make?!What a shame. I’m done with this game.

Teams too!. I’ve been playing this game for quite some time and have it on all of my devices. I am very happy with the variety and different obstacles that are presented (except for the spider webs and purple locking devices). Itis also unique that you can join a league or a team and at times you can request additional lives. This team joins together to defeat different levels. The story is a little silly, but I don’t always read it (skip feature). Thanks, this is my go to game. Only things I don’t like: when you win things like an hour of a particular assist, you can’t choose when to use it. If you made the mistake of playing right before work, and you win an hour of unlimited use, you may just lose it because you can’t play right then. I would really like to see the developer find a way that the timers for these bonuses to only run if you are playing.

Belarusian developers. I enjoyed this game for years, until they became more and more greedy. It is impossible to advance without making purchases. On top of that, the increasing pop up ads are constant. Their “support” is terrible. I see more and more complaints where they make excuses for freezes and glitches and usually blame the players or our internet connections. The last straw came when I learned they are from Belarus! Enough! I resigned from my “Society” and deleted the app. I will not support any Belarusian or Russian apps. In looking at the negative reviews, of which there are many, I see the biggest complaint is the relentless ads. The developers’ excuse is that they need the ad money in order to improve the game. Where is the improvement?! The glitches, freezes, getting booted out are worse than ever! If they receive all this money from ads, then why are they charging players more and more to get anywhere? I am glad I deleted this app! Stand with Ukraine! According to my research, Belka Games is headquartered in Belarus. If this is incorrect, please update me. I do not want to spread misinformation. You did not address my major complaint which is the unrelenting ads.

Greatest Game Ever. I don’t normally write reviews for games, I think this is my first tim to be honest, but this game deserved a review that tells people how great it is. It is so fun, challenging, and very different from other games similar to this. The graphics are really interesting, there are many different places that you go to in the game to try different types of levels, which are very cool. The company that made this app are so fair and fantastic, finally a company that understands that you need more chances to beat levels, plus they are always making new levels to play high really keeps it interesting. They give you many ways to earn more lives, also free gifts daily to give you more powers or 30 minutes to an hour to 2 days to keep playing for free. I have never found another game that gives you more time to complete levels. This game is so addictive.....I love it! I highly recommend that you try this game!!!!!!!

Impossible. I have read some reviews on this game about not being able to win. It didn’t say which level they were on only that it was impossible to win. Let me tell you that is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. When you are in quest and you have to go from the first puzzle all the way to number 26 to win the power ups or to win extra plays FORGET ABOUT IT. It won’t let you win unless you buy the power-ups and even then it just keeps putting all of the matching blocks on top or away from where you need them to be. Anyone that gets this game should be very leery about it. It wouldn’t be a problem say on your 10th try it becomes winnable but not when they give you days to complete a quest and you cant get passed the first level. And since I have read where the developers know about this ( they was asking for what level and to go to Facebook to discuss it. When they can pull up your game play and see what’s been happening) and it’s still this way shows that they made it this way and don't plan on changing it .. This could of been a really fun game instead it turns out it’s just another annoying scam .... to bad for them

Sandy. I agree with a lot of these reviews. When I am given 2 free hours to play, if I have to stop after 45 minutes, I lose the rest of the time. There definitely should be a pause so you can use the full amount of time. Also, when I purchase jewels, they disappear very quickly. There should be a counter visible to track what you purchase so you know you are getting what you pay for. Again, also, when I purchase a bundle for .99$, if I only use one move, the rest of the jewels disappear. You are effectively ripping me off. Please do not give me the same answer that you give everyone else, because obviously you are not listening to everyone’s concerns about the money they are paying to play your game. We all enjoy it, but want to know we are getting what we pay for. This review is over a year (or two) after the one above. I truly love this game! I have so many others downloaded, but only play them when your timer says my time is up. I don’t play against other players, I just enjoy playing alone. None of the concerns I wrote about above were addressed, so I don’t know why I express them. Guess I’m a glass half full kind of girl.

Problem with Clockmaker. I had intended to write a glowing review of this game because it is very entertaining and it exercises the mind. I had advanced, receiving, much to my surprise, something like 95 hours of lives! I thought that was extremely generous. What a boon! But no! I had played several hours when suddenly the screen went black. I deleted the game and downloaded it again. Nothing! I’m trying not to think that there was a glitch that gave me all those hours and when it was discovered, the game was removed. Since I can’t open the site, I couldn’t access the help area, so I am writing here. It’s a great complicated game. It’s just not as entertaining when it completely disappears. I’m hopeful that there is some way to remedy this. I checked the rest of my iPad to see if any other sites were out, but they were just fine.

A BIG pass, on this game...not what it’s advertised to be.. The game I had played for years has gotten too hard, so I had seen this one as an ad in that game and others. It looked like it had many mini games. So I downloaded and stated to play. Passed through seven or eight buildings, but it was all just a match game. Where’s the variety of the ads? Not in this game, an there are lots of off shoot adventures to play, but I’ve gotten to a point that there are so many things happening in the match game that I just can’t win! Try, having to clear the board of background squares and having timed bombs dropping in, which you have to make a color match to disarm at the same time. And I’m talking MULTIPLE color bombs, which are next to impossible to make the color matcha, as the color blocks are just not falling in the colors you need to explode them. Ugh, it could be much more fun, if it didn’t go from fun to impossible so fast. I’ve played this game about a week, and I’m done trying to do the impossible without spending mega money to get the gems that allow you to add 10 extra turns to your game. Good bye, Clockmaker! It looked promising, but turned way too hard too soon. And I really didn’t care what the townspeople were talking about, either.

Used to be fun, now just $$$ to win. I had this game for a few years. Today was the final straw and I deleted the game. There are several reasons. The first is that they have changed the programming so that ‘extras’ are required to win games. These extras cost money and while you can win extras, it is not sustainable so you have to buy them. The next reason are the adds: not only are they too numerous and long, they are not vetted by the company as they can cause the game to freeze and you loose your place. And there are many adds that are too violent and should not be viewed by younger players. When the story lines are geared toward pre-teens, having adds that show killings with blood spurts and blowing out brains should not be shown. Finally, there is a heavy reliance on Facebook, and I refuse to allow Facebook to make money off of me so I don’t participate in Facebook so there are features I cannot participate in. Bottom line, most of the games are now un-winnable without purchasing in-game extras and the storylines are juvenile. Don’t get sucked in!

Challenging Game. Mad props to the game designers, they certainly know how to craft difficult game play. I made it to the Bakery before finally giving up on this game. I played the game for two days and I got only to the 6th building in the game and I’m an avid game player. I enjoy challenging boards and thinking through a puzzle, but for beginning levels at the start of the game, the boards are way too difficult. It makes me wonder what the hard boards are like once a player really gets into the game. I get why people complain you have to use boosters or spend money to pass a board if the beginning boards take most of the day to get through. On top of that, I finally beat a very difficult board and then I wasn’t even given the item I needed. Super frustrating. Also, the bombs I can create with the gems are pretty useless unless the bomb is next to what I want to explode, I’d like a bigger explosion using all three of the created line not just the bomb tile itself. On the plus side, the graphics are well done and the game did not glitch or crash. This game has potential once the developers figure out that players need to play awhile and be invested in the story before making the levels so challenging or they are going to have a lot of frustrated players that end up abandoning the game like me.

Ad inundated…. Review number 3: This is still my go-to game, and I don’t think I’m ever going to finish the first set of houses and get to Darkville. But, ever the optimist, I still play it daily. That said, the ads seem to be non-stop. I can understand having to watch an advertisement when attempting to get bonus objects, but those that pop in to regular play…too many! Does anyone actually read these things? I use that time to fetch a fresh cuppa. All the same, I’m taking a star off for the outrageous number of ads. Yay! The geniuses who created this game have taken pity upon me, Whiner Extraordinaire, and tweaked the game to allow a few more wins to keep me happy and interested. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. It’s fun again! Admittedly, I’ve only revisited one of my bomb-riddled houses to find the puzzle was modified and the bombs are gone....but that gives me hope!! The below was my original rant... Ok, I’m at the point where every house’s puzzle contains bombs. I play this for fun, but since the bombs make me rush this game has lost its appeal. Too bad...it’s been my absolute favorite until now. Time to move on, I suppose. UNLESS!!! you get rid of the stupid bombs. Bleh.

Clockmaker. This is a beautiful, interesting and clever game, however game is a misnomer. This is really a pay to play activity as there is no real "game feature". The play is designed to be impossible to win without purchasing tools to win. There is not even a legitimate difficulty or skill level challenge to this app to make it an entertaining game. For example, the ratio of number of moves to the number of items to be collected is so tight that there is almost no probability of ever winning the set without buying tools to play. In addition, even if you could reasonably expect to collect two or more items with every single move given, there are often not even the requisite number of items to be collected shown on the play board. So, the deck is stacked to NOT win, no matter how skilled and attentive a player you are. In addition, if some of the tools needed to win could be earned in easier games it might keep players in the game, but there is so little opportunity to win the game or the tools that buying your way through the game is the only alternative. This is not a game to enjoy or play for fun, and that is too bad, as it has great potential.

Awesome game!. I have been consistently playing this game for several months. In fact, this game has taken up most of the idle time I have causing me to ignore ANY other game. Some boards are challenging but I love that you have a choice to play other levels. The leaderboard and various side quests keep you playing. There are always rewards you can earn and I never run out of lives, which makes it difficult getting anything done around the house lol. The only suggestions that I have is that the puzzle boards become available sooner (I have 6 hard levels I am waiting to play so I don’t throw away the pieces) and I think it would be great to have some sort of way to see all of the things you’ve collected from different houses. The items are very interesting so it would be nice to see what you’ve accumulated. But honestly this game is the BEST of its kind because you can never get bored and getting rewards is like winning the lottery. Update: I just downloaded the newest version and I have new puzzles with over a hundred pieces. I guess it does save any pieces I get even if there is no puzzle available!!!

Fun...but..... The game is fun, the graphics are outstanding, the sounds are great. However, the game ceases to be fun when it’s obvious some levels are impossible to beat without the need (at a cost) of additional moves or helps, even with those, it can take quite a few attempts to beat. I don’t mind a game where some levels require several attempts to overcome, but some of these levels are ridiculous. I appreciate the number of hours that are won and I have played for hours. I realize the developers are quite savvy, give you free hours you are more likely to play longer, play longer you are tempted to buy rubies and helps at a premium cost. Filling some type of vessel so it can be redeemed once it’s full is a common thread throughout plenty of games. Some games reward you with your collection, some charge a nominal monetary fee, but I find it disappointing that Clockwork charges $8.99 to obtain what you’ve earned playing the game. I’m sorry, but you are losing another player, I really enjoyed your game. The developers must really be laughing all the way to the bank. Bye!

From 5 to 1 star. This game used to be so much fun to play. But recently it has started crashing every single time I get on and play it. I have complained about this multiple times because when it crashes it doesn’t pick up where you left off when you get back on. It takes away your turn to clear the board thereby making your rewards for clearing the board less than what they should have been. Also, it takes away boosters that you’re using when it crashes. Boosters that are acquired using rubies that are purchased with real money. I have yet to be compensated for the money I have used up due to the game crashing…multiple times in one level sometimes. The only response I’ve been given is that they “are aware of the problem and trying to fix it”. And “hopefully it will be fixed on the next update”. Which it wasn’t. If anything, it’s worse than before. I used to really enjoy this game. It was one of my favorites. But it has ripped me off way too many times at this point.

This is crazy A’s addictive & aggravating!!!. This game will drive you crazy. I have 3 main games I have loaded and this is number 1 for me. I love the sounds and graphics but some of the puzzles are so hard to beat. You can spend days on some of the puzzles and even when you spend money on them you still can’t get through them. It gets frustrating at times but I still can’t put it down. I do wish when you win hours of free play there was a way to pause that time because it seems to always come up at the times I have to go to work or can not continue playing right then. Or I just have the worst luck. The only thing I find missing in this are the ads, who am I kidding NO I don’t. But it would be nice to earn extra lives by watching one sometimes. For those of us who do not want to enjoy the benefits of Face Book. Over all I would definitely recommend it to anyone tho, I can’t enjoy all the fun and aggravation by myself.

Beautiful graphics but too expensive to play. The graphics in this game are truly beautiful, but unless you are willing to spend money, you can sit on the same level for days. In previous reviews I’ve read that if you are stuck on a level, you should write the creators, but why? If you’re aware of a problem, then you should fix it. If you buy one of their packages, you suddenly win easily, with or without boosters. But once you’ve run out of your boosters and rubies, again you can be stuck on a level which isn’t even listed as hard forever. There aren’t any advertisements you can watch for boosters, and until you go through approximately 45 levels per building, you don’t get anything but a single daily prize. Often you can go through your five life allotment in five minutes or less, and it’s half an hour to get another. Even beautiful graphics wear off when you’ve been looking at the same set for three days. If it were a little easier, it would be a great game. As it is, it’s not worth the time or the money.

Used to be phenomenal. The reviews speak for themselves. Five stars down to one. I’ve owned this game for years. YEARS. I would buy boosters, extra lives, season passes. Not anymore. You want to generate revenue off ads instead of gameplay and it shows. The ads used to be mildly annoying (at worst) but after a few moments, you could skip and get back to the game…and they usually only popped up after a lost round, not a winning round. Now they show up frequently and are unnecessarily long and often freeze to where I have to shut the app down and restart to play the next round. Your replies to reviews states you are improving the ads….but not for your customers and fan base, you’re improving them for your ad revenue. Longer, more frequent and intrusive. You are not listening to your fan base, and the reviews show it. This game used to have consistent 4 and 5 star reviews, but not anymore. I hate leaving negative reviews. I like to let devs know when they’re doing something right, but in this case you KNOW you are doing something wrong and you don’t care. It’s a shame really. This game is awesome. The devs motivations-not so much.

Sad 😥😥😥. I started playing this game and loved it in the beginning, the challenges where very interesting and didn’t seem to be to childish. The game let you win rewards and that would keep me playing. The problem came after playing for a week or so the challenges got very difficult and you couldn’t complete a challenge without buying gems to pay for helpers. I would play a challenge 4 or5 times with no way to win then on the 6 or 7 time and get to the last move and then lose. In order to win that challenge you have to buy extra move for 5 gems. Doesn’t sound bad until realize you can’t win any challenge without help. The next thing you know you are spending to much money on this game. I also had problems where the came would drop out and you lose the reward you had won and when you reopen the came you can’t retrieve it. I gave up and deleted it.

Not fun just frustrating. You will no longer get any of my money! I regularly spend money on games I enjoy. But you will not see another dime of mine. When a game is so devised that there is no possibility of reaching the goals it is no longer a game nor fun. It is an exercise in futility. I don’t know if you are just an incompetent game designer or greedy! For example a round requiring collecting clock hands...the configuration of the board consisted of 5 separate parts with no interconnection at all. The outer sections are separated from the main game board & each contain 3 tiles in an L-shape. You are unable to match within these sections nor can you reach them from the main game board. There is NO mechanism for these pieces to be put into play & of course the “clock hands” needed are in these sections. I tried lining up the lightening game pieces, bombs, & those pieces that take out entire rows/columns. At one point I had so many special pieces created that it took out almost the entire main board, but all action stopped at the border. No matter how close to the edges the special pieces were they would not reach these areas outside of the main game board so absolutely no way to complete the task. I just quit. If this frustration continues I’ll just delete the game.

Can Be Enjoyable Until You Have to Play Bingo. I love the music and enjoyed the game for quite a while. Not particularly competitive, just enjoyed playing. Until it became apparent that there were some levels that were impossible to pass unless the game makers decided to give you a break. It is beyond annoying to be forced to play in only one small section of the board, where no move will do you any good. Then after wasting several moves the board will reshuffle because there are no moves. I have had the board reshuffle three times in one game. More than once. The game lost its fun factor when it became obvious there was no way to move past a board because you were not going to win no matter how many times you played. The layout of the board is determined by the developers and it is very obvious winning is not part of the game. Playing the same board over and over and over is boring. And I refuse to even play the boards with bombs in them. The bombs, all of them, start ticking down before you can even access them. This game gets old fast. New update added bingo. The bingo game loads first and you can't get out of it. If you want to play you have to play bingo. Removing this app. If I wanted to play bingo, I would download a bingo app.

Enjoying the mystery. My daughter introduced me to this game and right away I fell in love with it .. it has intriguing stories , fun puzzles and it constantly gives you prizes .. you don’t have to pay for everything .. but it gives you the option to do so if you like .. I only have two problems with the game ..1- when you win some prizes instead of it being in game it counts time outside of the game .. if you get endless hearts for 30 mins , if you have to walk away from the game it counts down wether you are playing or not .. I wish it would give you the prizes while you are playing that way if you have to walk away you still have it when you come back .. the other problem I have is how hard some of the levels are to start with .. like level one .. it would be nice if it were a lil easier .. but I still enjoy the game .. thank you

Beautiful game !. Beautifully illustrated with an intriguing story line. My one bug would be that there are not many different types of puzzles to play throughout the game. Just the constant match gem ones. Some are very hard to get past without using up one's boosters and even then .... Probably one of the best games I have found and overall really enjoyable if frustrating at times.

Willing to persist a little while yet. I’m quite new to playing Clockmaker and still finding my way. So much going on in the game. Perhaps game is the wrong word as it is all puzzles. A big disappointment is the lack of playing information or help. Interesting to more often than not, find myself 1 to 3 points short of completing a level and the “buy rubies” option appears! We’ll see and you asked for my rating!

Not what I thought it would be. I was attracted to the ads for this game and when I started playing I realised it was not as advertised. Maybe I didn’t find the interesting games? I did play for days and it appeared to be a gem drop game with a bit of a story? It would have been fine if thats what I was expecting, but I really thought it would be a lot more interesting. Its pretty...if you like gems... but not what was advertised.

Not happy. Used to LOVE this game. But it has deteriorated in quality. It is much harder to win extended time, so I run out of lives quite quickly and play something else. Also, the stupid Ketogummy ad always goes to a blank screen that can’t be closed. I have lost hours of playtime due to the screen freezing and my time being exhausted when it finally works again. Getting v close to removing I completely.

The ads are ridiculous!. This used to be an okay game. It had generous rewards; and for a long time, it had no ads. Now there is an ad after every game; and - correct me if I’m wrong - no way of fast-forwarding through them or closing them after a certain time, as is possible in most other similar apps. I’ve found it more time-efficient to close the app and reopen it, rather than watching a 30-second ad. But actually, these ads are putting me off playing at all.

Clockmaker. I like the game and it’s many challenges. Some of the levels are very hard especially the ones with spiderweb. I find that the unsolicited ads is very distracting. The ads when you choose to get a reward are okay and I have even found some of the products advertised to be very interesting. On the whole this is a good game.

Too hard56!!!. Some levels are almost impossible without purchasing . Very unfair I am considering giving up the game and not recommending it. Even trying to do a review is made difficult!!!! many of the reviews from others are saying the same thing but your not listening You are making your money from the sponsors that we have to watch to play your game and the ads have increased I also note. Show some loyalty to the loyal players if your game or they will leave just like I’m thinking

Hate the update with the incessant buggy advertisements. Was one of my favourite time waster with varied challenges and interesting levels. But the recent update with the incessant advertising that drops in at odd times and do not let you skip easily. Given the option of more moves in games by watching repetitive ad wore thin when they are so buggy, I kept having to restart the game repeatedly. So disappointed, you’ve ruined a great game! Deleting like many are until you take the ads away. Such a stupid thing as you had such strong community engagement.

Great game but...... Why is it that when a bonus level is reached with say 10 or 12 hours as part of the reward, it does not add this to the time left. I’m finding this very annoying and it seems to be happening more and more. So frustrating!!

Milking the cow ?. I have played for a long time , enjoyed it and spent quite a bit . No regrets but now they turned greedy . Boosters prizes turned 2 hours to 2 , levels can’t be passed without boosters and clever algorithms will always leave 1 last missing piece to be sure you try again . Was fun but I won’t be forced to spend .

Love it!. I’ve been playing for a while now, and I still love that it challenges me. So many different levels to choose from, and very generous with extra lives. Thank you, keep it up!

Advertising. Update 10 August 2022. Very hard to win any levels now. I know it is the game settings but it is not enjoyable now. I sometimes go 2 hours without a win, I know, I’m a fool for continuing to play. Ah well. I commented that there was too much advertising. The response was about advertising supporting development - I agree that is necessary - but also two parameters that do not work for me. First that the advertising is not after every game - it is when I play. Second that the videos can be stopped after 15 seconds - every one I have seen has 30 seconds. I’d be interested in seeing a response.

Disappointing. Recent significant reduction to the free rewards in Travel Season is most disappointing. It is designed to increase the likelihood of purchasing the vip rewards or incessantly watching multiple in-app ads in order to gain 3 extra moves with each ad viewing. If this change that significantly reduced the free rewards previously available in travel seasons I will be deleting this app.

Clam48. Have been playing the game for a while now and am enjoying it so far. It is certainly different to other match 3 games I have played. If it wasn’t for having to work I would probably play the game all day. Keep up the good work. The only issue I have is getting gems is not easy and it would be nice to get some red gems through the game instead of having to buy them all the time.

Good game but ads are a pain. The game started with no ads (or at least very little) but over the past few months, more and more ads popping up. Would give 5 star if you had left game without ads. I use to spend but stopped when ads became a bother Another issue, if you ever need support and try to reach out in the game, don’t expect a reply. My game is shutting down, sent loads of messages for past 3 days AND NO REPLY. thinking of requesting a full refund back from apple DO NOT DOWNLOAD - SUPPORT NOT ANSWERING GAME SHUTDOWN ISSUES

Absolutely Love this game.. After playing this game for a couple of years, each morning, I love the challenge of the levels, especially the evil difficult ones. The daily gift is my only source of extra tools as I refuse to buy aids in a game I have already paid for. If lives were easier to get I wouldn't end up going to work. Sometimes the new side games crash such as the Cooking Show which I am not interested in at all. The help team respond quite quickly for bugs. I'm nearly at the Clock Tower. Yeah😃 12 months later: The ads’ are getting rediculous, Bingo ads crash and game is becoming tedious with sales pitch.

New update. Don’t really like new update as can’t get any more lives so only can play the until lives run out unless you pay! Seem to also find that it’s getting harder and harder to pass a level, which I do understand the longer you play or higher level you are but kinda getting ridiculous when spending 2-4 days to pass one game , loosing interest! Been playing for few years so maybe time to find something else

Marketing strategy is atrocious. Normally I like these “Match 3” types of games, but I downloaded a game based on marketing that advertised a completely different type of game. Shame, shame, shame! Being tricked into downloading this game, I decided to give it a chance and check it out. I found the first couple of games to be quite simple, but then I was bombarded by a dizzying array of quests/storylines. Seriously, why do developers do this? When I have an entire column of icons down the side of my screen, each leading to a different set of storylines, and I haven’t had the game for more than 6 hours, I’m not going to stick around - I need to invest too much executive function for it to be worth my while. You’re giving people too many choices. Normally I just delete games like this without leaving a review, but that deceptive marketing pushed it from a 3 to a 1.

What is wrong with the game the last 3 days. What on earth has happened to clock maker. Constant dropping put in the middle of playing the last 3 days, Really slow, wasted my 22 free hours of play as constantly switched off . So in the end gave up. So so frustrating . Why oh why do you not win enough bonus items to help you pass levels. You know you have no chance of winning the level when you get extra moves, so many times I have needed just 1 move to win the level and never get extra moves, when your nowhere near winning…..extra moves opportunity. It takes so long to level up building, you you finally finish collecting all the items and it not 1 or 2 is 33 to 41 items x 3 and just when you think you have done it, does the building level up…..no you need to get another round of items, Not enough reward for passing levels

I ❤️💗clocktower game BUT. I tried updating and had to purchasing the new update, it took my money but won’t let me play the cryptozoology update and even though I sent PROOF or PURCHASE iha e spoken to support and 8 still no ,after how many times we send emails back and forth I can’t play that update ,so considering whether to keep or delete this game, I really ❤️💗❤️💗this game but d not appreciate tne obvious GLITCHES: the game often seems t give me,they are very quick to respond but ,,,

Frustrated. I love this game but have found recently that the ads freeze and I have to log out and reload to be able to continue, please fix this bug as I will eventually not play it anymore which is a disappointment as I have been playing for years now. Fix the bug with the ads please!!!!

Why the nerf?. There’s a saying - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Used to love this game and regularly paid each travel season to upgrade. It actually used to be worth the money. Now the prizes are so stingy and so hard to progress with just about every level being near impossible to pass. Even the events are ridiculously hard. I am now at the point where instead of a relaxing and challenging game, it’s a source of pure frustration. Before this latest update I would have rated this a 5 star game, now I’m looking for something else to enjoy in my downtime.

Disappointed. Enjoying the game, BUT ... This game gets frustrating after a while when you cannot get past a certain point. Have not been able to get past level 14, and I really do not want to buy unlimited lives for just a day! Will be uninstalling. Very disappointed.

Enjoyable but too hard. I really like this game, but unfortunately have to give it less than five stars as it suffers the common problem of being far too difficult to play in sections (without paying for bonuses or more moves). You may be able to get through eventually, but it takes a lot of slogging and is usually just good luck. This removes much of the fun - which is a shame, because I like it otherwise.

Misleading and too Difficult. The advertisement which led me to download this app vas misleading, the activity was nothing like the actual game. But I started playing anyway, only to become annoyed and frustrated quickly because it becomes difficult fast, especially the events. I am not even able to complete the first stage of them. It’s also repetitive and boring especially because I am not able to make progress. The graphics are very nice and the backgrounds music is pleasant, but any positive aspect is canceled by the bad gameplay.

Disappointing- why can’t I use my winnings?. Okay, I get it that people want to make money. But why pretend that this can be done as a free app? I keep winning lives and red gems - 100s of gems - but they never get added to my usable tally. I think it’s part of a bunch of something I can win the right to pay for (does that make sense, even?). And there’s so many little side games and piles of loot - and again, I can’t use any of them. All those amazing graphics make this app a cut above a lot of others, but you almost need a little rule/ explanations book somewhere. There’s too much to absorb. Every session ends in frustration. Last thing: the link to Facebook does NOT help me ask friends for lives. I’ve tried many times. Not designed for iPhone?

Fix your ad policy before you kill the game. Even though I joined this game thinking it was something different, I stayed as it’s an enjoyable match 3 game with a solid storyline… However, the recent change to forced viewing of ads has reached spam proportions and it’s no longer tolerable. The ads I choose to watch for a reward are fine, that a fair value exchange. It’s the constant spamming in between attempts at levels that’s frustrating, breaks up gameplay and ruins any sort of atmosphere the game was building… I wanted to stay playing, but I’ll be deleting soon as it’s just too frustrating to be enjoyable anymore…

Since last update. I enjoy this game however since last update whenever the shop brings up a deal it locks on that very annoying and interrupts the game while you click and open again. Also while we all hate the ads, every time one of those casino ads come on it turns my screen upside down and I have to close the game and restart. Is this a common thing

Fun but too expensive. This was quite fun until I reached the levels that include the time bombs. I don’t enjoy the time pressures at all, and can’t get past them, as all the puzzles simultaneously included them once I got to that level. The developers are fairly greedy re the need to purchase in-house help so I assume the point is to get users spending more money. So I’m about to delete the game because it’s not fun anymore. Shame.

Full of Challenges. I absolutely luv this game! There is never a dull moment with so many different challenges, and you never get bored. Highly recommend if you are into keeping your brain active.

Not like it’s advertised as. This game is not what it’s advertised as, it’s the same as all match 3 games, just with too much of a storyline, too much happening all at once, too hard to complete without using lots of money to buy items to assist. If you persevere you will pass the levels…… eventually. Not to mention all of the ads interrupting your game. I thought this was advertised as not having ads, but it’s one of the worst games for it. Have played on and off for a while however have finally decided to off the game from my device.

Very challenging. I started off really enjoying this game, but now I am finding the levels are very hard and can’t get through them without spending money. Mind you I am not very far into the levels and I am thinking I am not going to advance very far very quickly. Although there are lots of different levels and mini games to play which are very interesting and I am enjoying the story line, but when you play the same level over and over and still can’t get through it, things become less interesting and now I am finding that I am no longer going back to this game every day. Tanya

Not Happy. I used to love this game, but the higher you level the harder it gets. Which can be expected, but this ridiculously hard. There never seems to be enough moves to complete the level without tools, and most of times you need to use diamonds which you have to buy to win. There are not enough rewards to get through the levels. The introduction of the spider webs was a real deal breaker. They seem to be in every level of the building game. I think if you do not fix at least some of these issues you are going to lose players. I know l will be leaving, as you have taken the fun out of the game and it is only a money making venture for the creators. Please look at the issues l have suggested and do not dismiss this lightly. I have invested 2 years in this game.

Love this game. This game is addictive, but can be frustrating when you need just one more move to win a level. I like that it's challenging and not so easy that you just sail through all the levels, then have to start again. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that this latest update is incredibly slow and crashes now & then.

So hard it’s boring. Of all the games to come along since Candy Crush, this is one of the worst. It’s stupidly hard which just makes it boring and repetitive. If there is a bonus for a first time level completion, don’t worry you won’t get it. The special events are a joke. Purely designed to get players to pay for more lives. Family Guy and Futurama are better executed, more entertaining and much fairer. Judging by the cut and paste response to this, and many other reviews, clockmaker doesn’t really care about making this game ‘better’. The only thing that has changed is the number of ads, and an increase in difficulty to encourage players to spend more. DELETED!

Bit disappointed. I too have been loving this game but have discovered I have run out of lives so can’t go any further. It says all levels are available without additional fees but unless I’m missing something... that’s not true! I don’t want to go to Facebook to trade with friends for lives... none of them play this anyway. I’ve only done 3 places on the map but looks like that’s it for me unless I pay $5.

Frustrated. Addicted to this game but am having problems with the screen freezing. I then have to delete and reinstall which is frustrating. I am now stuck on a screen that tells me to ‘relaunch’ the game and no matter what I do that’s the only thing that is showing. Am about to permanently delete.

Too expensive to play. Nice graphics and interesting enough fir a match 3 game, but the levels are so difficult that after about the fifth house it’s impossible to get ahead without continuously buying ‘gems’. Impossible to finish weekly tasks or the various side challenges because you just can’t get enough wins to sustain game play. Save yourself the cash.

Game ruined by recent changes. This used to be a great match three type game. The stories were corny, but there was enough variation in the game play to keep it more interesting than other similar games. There was also a good balance between free content, rewards in game, and paid content, (although the ads sometime caused the game to freeze.) Recently the rewards from the “Travel Season” have been greatly reduced, shattering that balance. These rewards used to frequently include 2 hours of unlimited lives, giving you a reasonable opportunity to progress at the higher levels. These have been removed, so now you are limited to five lives most of the time. Progress is not possible. Time to find a new game.

The adds keep freezing. I liked this game at first but now it freezes when it is showing adds. I have to quit the game and then restart but then the same add starts and I have to restart the game again. Happened 8 times today. I am close to deleting it. It’s a pity as when it works it is quite good. Secondly, it shows me matches even before I have time to start looking. I want to find the matches not have the game take the lead.

Disappointed, very disappointed. The concept of this game is very sound, it plays well and is challenging enough to keep even the most hard core gamers attention. However it has a major flaw that drove me to remove it from my devices - advertising. The constant inane and quite frankly, rubbish ads, make it insufferable, poor quality games such as Evony. How Clockmaker achieved game of the day defies logic, the judges must have been given a different version, one without the advertising. One of the first rules of advertising is make it entertaining, the adverts in this game are just infuriating. Not only do you have to watch ads to gain lives but they are annoyingly inserted randomly between games, destroying concentration totally, and all this in a game that can cost you a king’s ransom if you start purchasing the add-ons, which, if the players are children, will cause devastation to a parent’s credit card. Why the game can’t be purchased outright is beyond me; a lot of people would buy it. In summary, I recommend that you avoid this game, it’s simply not worth the angst and if it had been possible, I would have given it no stars at all; go and watch TV instead, at least their ads can on occasion be interesting.

Just one bug. 👆🏻. I LOVE this game! It’s so much fun, the story is great and you can pass the levels with perseverance and a little luck. There’s just one bug that frustrates me: When trying to buy in App purchases, you tap your selection, it shows a ‘loading’ message for a split second and then nothing happens. 😭 Please fix this and then it will actually be perfect and get a 5 star rating from me.

Stupid & Rip-off. What’s the point of having matched 5 colours to become 1 lightning or 3 colours to become a bomber but you’re unable to match the 2 bombers or 2 lightning together for a bigger explosions to clear the rows or column. The only way to clear is the same colour. Why bother creating a game when you’re limiting the power of the lightning or bomber. Doesn’t make any sense. Also, you don’t earn any boosters when you clear each levels. Seems like you don’t earn anything whatsoever. Everything is purchase. What a rip-off.

Great story line. I am very much enjoying this game. It has in interesting storyline to go with the challenging match 3 games. However, the cost of the gems is too expensive. They are twice the price of similar games. This game would get 5 stars if the gems were half the price. It can get very frustrating to fail continually at a level and feel that there is no way out with out spending a lot of money. I have also just completed the writers house but instead of getting fireworks and prises the game took me back to where I was when I arrived at the house. I am even doing the same games again. I now have to get another 31 sets of binoculars. Very disappointing

No longer happy with this game 😕. I used to enjoy this game. After the last update, it no longer works remotely close to properly. I am totally sick and tired of the game locking up then shutting down, sometimes it does it mid stage, other times it doesn't even go beyond stage beginning. 😡😡😡

Great Game that needs some updates. Great game that needs some updates to make it better. That support area needs to be kept up with the game with new items and clear instructions. The main thing is to ensure that game can be won, hard games are good but never getting close to finishing the game is very frustrating and makes you think twice about playing.

Okay, fun to waste time. I do like the game, just spending hundreds of lives on one level because to don’t have “add in” without buying more ....is a bit much. Every level should be beatable with out a extra item. I swear one level I would make a move it would have to shuffle because there was no more moves possible 10 times in a row with only 15 moves possible for that round. I don’t mind random but it’s disheartening especially cause you have to wait so long for more lives. But over all fun, I play when I have a moment to spare.

Frustrating. I enjoy playing this game but get very frustrated and annoyed at time. Level as can be extremely hard and after spending a lot of time, often days completing you often never get the items required to unlock areas/houses! Think you should get at least one item required every time a level is completed.

I am totally addicted to this game. I love the challenge of each level in each house! But I refuse to buy lives or other objects available. I did buy on another game and it was costing me $35/a week, so I just set my timer until another game becomes available. Great way to break up my days off. Cheers Denise

Just started playing......but........ I just started playing this game. So far so good and quite enjoyable, BUT... I hope and pray it does not become impossibly hard like all the other games of its type. I don’t mind spending a little bit but I’m not going to pour hundreds of dollars into it!

Not for most, unfortunately. Thought to give it another chance, seeing as they’re up and advertising again. Lots of potential but gets too hard too fast- like literally day 2😆. I guess they don’t like to listen, said. My team has been playing Happy Potter Puzzles & Spells for 6 years- In a successful game, the difficulty fluctuates (up and down) or players lose interest

Fake reviews. Look at the most recent ones.. Company gives scam reviews.

Good, but could be better. Energy and lives disappear fast. Usual match three game, I just wish it had more puzzles to solve then just match three. Some levels are to hard to complete.

What has happened. I’ve loved this game but for some reason, Ive been getting notices that it won’t play anymore on my I pad whi ch is completely up to date so after 2 years I had to delete it and all its data. I am not happy

Read the terms of service and the privacy policy. Deleting this app before even playing it. Read the terms of service and the privacy policy. Not happening.

Jeu. Très amusant

Clockmaker just another game?. Why make a game that is so difficult. People will just quit

J’aime beaucoup mais. Juste trop trop d’annonces publicitaires non sollicitées. On joue une grille paf une annonce. Tu joue une 2ieme grille encore une annonce. Trop c’est trop. J’adore ce jeu et depuis 6 mois voici le scénario. Tellement triste.

Third day in a row. Please fix the issue with your rewards. Seriously.. Please fix the issues with your rewards. Going into day 4 now.

Matching bejeweled clone. The ads said it is more than a knockoff matching game It is a knockoff matching game Deleted 2 minutes after downloading ~ wow... Let’s try something new?

Awful. Too convoluted. Too many rewards needed to proceed!

Boycott this app. Any app that advocates cruelty to animals, children and women in its relentless advertising should be banned from the App Store.

Clockmaker. I like this game with its glowing graphics, but there are too many ads and too costly to remove. So I won’t be bothering with it anymore.🙁

Rip offs. Just like every other RIP OFF game!

Was great but now many ads. I played this a lot but I’ve noticed lately that there are more ads and it’s too much. I stop playing quicker

Difficult to win unless u spend $. Really enjoy playing but am finding it frustrating to proceed as I won’t spend $$ to get boosters

You have to make in-game purchases to get ahead. I like this game alright, but a person shouldn’t have to make in-game purchases to win levels. I’ve been stuck on the same level for a couple days, and I absolutely refuse to pay for anything. It’s not fun when you can’t move ahead. Also, I find that often they just don’t give you enough moves either, and the “suggestions” for moves doesn’t help you. I think it’s time to delete this game. Edited: honestly, your response is exactly what I would expect from a stupid game developer…I already know I can play the game without paying for “helps”…I’m saying that you get so far in the game and then in order to move ahead, it’s either pay for a “help” or stay stuck forever. That is why I deleted the game.

Needs to provide better clarity on rules and tricks within app. Graphics are beautiful and game is well done except that one has to learn the nuances of how to play each level effectively through trial and error. The game has limits on the number of times you can play and not win before (unless you buy helpers) so it gets frustrating to figure out. Better explanations would help. Furthermore, some levels feel as though they are very hard (impossible?) to complete without extras which have to be bought or won.

Like. Good

Clockmaker. Jeu des plus intéressants mais vraiment trop difficile! On perd intérêt quand on ne peut avancer qu’en dépensant des sous.

Thanks. I love this game I’ve been playing it since it first started, It got me through the death of a spouse. It’s a short release when I need it. Thank you,

Fun but not free. When you advertise game is free…stop pushing purchases, it’s false advertisement

Clockmaker. Very hard game.

They've got it wrong. User experience is frustrating even if you spend money inside the game. Yes, it's a difficult game to progress organically, but if you spend like over $200 on the game like I did, it doesn't reward you in any way other than if you spent $5. Power ups and "weapons" are extremely expensive. Time to move on. This game just sucks cash without rewarding their players who line their pockets. Buh bye

I enjoy the game but…... The star trek ad freezes every single time and causes me to have to close the game. Then I lose whatever I was trying to get - extra lives, etc. So frustrating!

review. I love this game. really want to mention though there are a ton of ads which take away from playing the game! I would have given it 5 star except for this.

Clockmaker. I’m starting to hate it. All it wants is money and it’s not very entertaining

Clock Maker. So far, so good. I am really enjoying this game!

To may advertisements. There is way to many ads now on this game.

I love Clockmaker. Such a great game. Love the details in the graphics.

Loved the game but. They collect too much data

Clockmaker. I have been playing this game for several years and I’m so frustrated with the game freezing, the chance to get three extra tries only to be told it’s not available at this time. If you want to you can keep hitting the button and you get lucky after 25 times you may be able to finish. I find the game freezes right at the end of a segment and you lose your progress.

Ads. I love this game can play for hours. But why all of a sudden is there ads

Too many ads!!. I understand that ad revenue is required but jeeze….way too many ads. Really takes away from the enjoyment of the game!

Fun. Easy and fun… To loose time when u have to wait.

Clockmaker. Terrible game, waste of time, now I can’t even delete it

The support is not working. Too many adds and support is not monitoring any issues with game. It seems like it is time to look for a different game.

Clickbait!. If I could give this game a negative rating, I would. I find it loathsome when a game promo shows animation that is so loosely based on the actual game, as to be almost entirely disassociated from it. Games that force you to play a themed version of Candy Crush 95% of the time should be banned from the App Store, unless they explicitly reveal that it will be 95% of the game. It wastes valuable time, which people who are looking for games that challenge their intellect will only despise!

Ads. This games ADS on other games are far too long. Over a minute is ridiculous. Yes I know you need the adds but that is just plain stuid

Purchases don’t transfer. Very fun game. Unfortunately if you purchase anything, they don’t transfer between platforms, even when you sign in. They say each platform is a unique account, even though you are playing under the same profile, this seems unfair and a bit of a rip off. Too bad too. It was fun.

Hint to fast. Enjoying the game but hints go to fast to read

Other Games. I thought this was more than just a match 3 game.

Too many ads!!!. I really like this game but the number and lengths of the ads is ridiculous! Most apps give you the option to pay to skip ads. Not this one. Thinking of deleting. Deleting this app. Way too many ads. Not only that but they are too long and are not easy to skip. Bye!

Ads! Ads! Ads!. Absolutely one of the worst games for number of ads.

Worst game ever. You can’t progress in the game.

Clokmaker. Trop de pubs, on perd l’intérêt du jeu! Dommage!

Toooo long!. Your pop ups are much longer than other ads. On principle I will not download your game. You purport not to be a fake ad. You are.never!

Great game but. I just started getting ads all the time. It’s taking the joy out of it

Way too many ads. I really enjoy this game but there are way too many ads. I understand the need for it but either make the app ad free with one time payment or have less ads. I’m literally watching ads after every level and they are wayyy to long on top of that. It really ruins the enjoyment of the game.

Free does scale well for free. Eventually you reach a level you can pass without paying $$$.... It’s uninstall time

Gets annoying. I like match games. The back story is secondary. Of course it would be silly and boring to win each level the first time. But when you play one level 20-plus times and lose all your lives several times over before you win, that’s ridiculous in the opposite way. So I only play this game when I’m away long enough that it gives you a few minutes of infinity lives. I know they hope you will buy more gems to keep playing, but that’s stupid and annoying too. I agree with rutahill. Most games have in-game purchases and it’s ridiculous. I read the owner’s response, too. I’m not believing them. Most games have the price points all wrong, as well. It costs the owner very little once the game is done and they can start on making another game. They THINK they’ve set the difficulty level right. They need to let the user choose a “difficulty level”— not everyone is super good at the game. It’s not wrong to make money, but seriously, how much money does one need?

Far too difficult, Greed should be adjusted. This is a decent match game with some nice art work. However, as an avid game player, I can’t recommend this title at all. It is far too difficult to get anywhere with it, so much that it’s frankly silly. Personally, I play a game and determine how much value I get from it by how enjoyable it is. Then, I assign a monetary value to it and purchase upgrades based on that perception, with repeat purchases if my interest is held for a long time. But this game has been essentially impossible from the beginning, many levels very early which can’t completed without upgrades. So...this game has never hooked me. I assume the model works for them, or they’d adjust their greed level...they must find a few whales that enjoy spending a lot to win. But I’m uninstalling it. There are lots of games out there; you can do better than this.

Love this game. This is my go to game and I love it. It has many little events that keep you interested. Their whole story line is cute. They are very generous with winning extra lives and rewards. I love that. I would make it 5 stars but the levels are a little too hard. It takes a long time to win a level or you have to spend which, I suppose is the point. I don’t mind spending a little to play a game I love but spending on every level in order to pass is a bit much. This has been the same complaint to every friend I have referred it to. Also maybe tone down the amount of levels with spider webs. Otherwise great game and I love it. I will continue to refer. Hopefully they will make it not quite so hard to pass a level.

Frustrating impossible levels. At first this game was fun but then became very hard to win levels without making purchase after purchase. Now the levels are impossible to win and I’m done spending money, and I spent a lot because time after time I only needed one or two moves to beat a board I’d played time and time again and just wanted to be done with the frustration. Greedy developer requires you earn way too many items to clear levels, but every once in a while will throw you some unlimited play to keep you satisfied enough to keep playing...and paying! Now, I’m not against paying as I know it costs money to develop games but this game takes it to excess. And needing to link to Facebook for a bit of help? Thank you, but no, I’m not sharing my info with you for a free life now and again. Will be deleting the game just after sending this. Was fun for a bit, too bad greed ruined it.

This game used to be fun. I’ve complained before after u guys changed it and made it so much more difficult it was no longer fun. I was told people complained and wanted more of a challenge. Can u add a play mode so we can choose the level of difficulty? I stopped playing the past year and came back recently and it didn’t seem as difficult yet here I am 4 days later and basically every game is impossible to win based on the what jewels r released and I’m stuck on evry single level for 4 days. This is not fun & again jewels released versus he number of moves that we have to compete it in are near impossible unless u spend 5min on every single move to determine the next 5 moves ahead. It’s a shame becuz this used to b so much fun. Can you please add the difficulty mode? The levels r near impossible the past 4 days but if u saw the jewels I’m getting there is no way anyone cud win. Please help bring the fun part of this game back.

too frustrating. while i initially found this game to be challenging, with gorgeous graphics, and additional plays not costing much (in terms of rubies - not cash), I am now so frustrated with it I am deleting it. The levels are often near impossible to solve as bombs and spiderwebs proliferate faster than the number of moves you have (i.e. 4 webs appear each turn, rather than just one, making it impossible to catch up, or 3 bombs explode in 5 moves - again making it impossible to beat - and then game over in 5 moves. Not fun.) Recent upgrades have eliminated the better “gifts” for tnt, or smashers, instead of the things you need to collect to advance, and the new animations for each game are much too long. Sorry guys, you lost me.

Fun game but no customer support when something goes wrong. I’ve been playing about 6 months and suddenly got a pop up about having two games saved and needing to choose one. This happened about three times when I opened the app, and no matter which version I chose, the game was suddenly complete—all houses/buildings open. The profile was different than mine, suddenly I belonged to a society with a bunch of names in Cyrillic, and everything was different. I contacted support and got the same canned reply about no one could access the account but me, I should try reinstalling (I did, multiple times), and I needed to try syncing with my Facebook account, which I don’t have. When I contacted them again to say that it still wasn’t working, I received the exact same reply. So I deleted the app. It’s too bad they don’t give an option to start a new game. And it’s too bad support isn’t exactly supportive.

Excellent game… Until. This was an excellent game. Been playing a few weeks now, maybe longer, but the honeymoon period is over so here’s what I learned. At some point, you will have to spend money, and a lot of it. I spent a little on this game, but it was a drop in the bucket compared to what is required to feel like you are winning. Nothing new, but here’s the real problem. I noticed a pattern of them offering rewards for beating a level the first, second, or third try. The inflow of gems made this impossible to do without using power ups and boosts, which in turn, generally cost money. This still didn’t bother me so much, but what did is this. Eventually once you are forced to loose until it’s clear you won’t pay to win, the gems fall in a way that you almost can’t lose. This is the real problem. Any genuine gameplay is negated by the way the game is set up to encourage spending. I’m no expert on gaming app economics, so I don’t know the solution, but I am here for actually game play. Not this pay to win scheme. Sad, because I really enjoyed the game. I would have been happy to spend more money, but not the amounts they want. Now I am running out of play time so I would have to spend money just to play soon. That’s not gonna happen, but I do believe the fun I had was worth the few bucks spent.

Charged fur gems but didn’t receive. Jan 2019 I bought the “special 60 gems for $.99” but they took my money and didn’t give me the gems. I contacted them but they keep asking for information that just doesn’t exist. So that’s their way of getting your money and not honoring their sale. Thank goodness I didn’t spend more or like some of you say you were double charged. I don’t expect my money to be returned now after their communication with me, they won’t honor the purchase even though to them it is simply a press of a key to give me the gems at no cost to them. So beware when you buy on the iPhone, you are not given a purchase ID only the charge on your bill through apple itunes. So you have no recourse. Only a dollar but still a scam!!

Misleading. Both the ads for this game and the description here talk about things I haven’t seen, yet. I just started this game, so maybe the things they use to promote it come later. The ad shows an interesting and different puzzle that I wanted to try. The description talks about finding objects and solving a mystery. None of those are apparent. In addition if you don’t make a decision on the match 3 games within a second or 2 the game makes a suggestion. That suggestion is not necessarily the best suggestion. In addition, if I wanted a game to play itself I would just watch videos. It is not a challenge or of any interest to me to use game hints before I have a chance to work it out myself. I understand that some want/need that, so make an option in the settings to turn off the hints. I’ve seen that in enough games to know it can’t be that hard to do. One of the reasons I don’t directly load games after an ad is because most advertisements are misleading or outright lies, this was no exception.

Bummer. I was excited to find a game like this that didn’t involve candy or children’s style graphics. It’s steampunk art theme really appeals me. I’ve played a lot of connect 3 games and this by far is the most disappointing one I’ve ever played. I expect advancing levels to be more challenging, but not impossible. I’ve made one purchase after receiving a 5 rubies for 99 cents offer. But I won’t spend another dime. I get that “free” video games depend on people liking a game so much that they will spend money to keep playing. And I might, if I actually received not only a decent play time before I run out but the ability to solve the puzzles and level up. Some of the levels are not winnable, eg: 118 items to collect with only 40 or so chances to do so. I believe I’ve finally reached levels that are not meant to be best unless I spend money. I give it a week before I’m defeating this game.

Show Me the Money $$$. I agree with many previous reviewers, this game is fun, addictive and the graphics are amazing. However, like many of the other ‘low star’ reviews, I agree that the developers seem more focused on making money off their players than creating long-term relationships with a loyal following. In the beginning, the levels were hard, but I learned and improved. I paid about $60 over a few days because it was fun, and all was great as long as my boosters lasted. Then the game became diabolical & required more boosters & gems ($$$) to get through the levels. (If I wanted to lose money that fast, I’d just go to Vegas. At least there I could catch a show, get a free meal and watch the Bellagio fountains.) The rewards need to be better... loved the cat but the bulldog was bull#&*. And don’t get me started on the stupid spiderwebs and exploding lightbulbs. Seriously? That’s borderline sadism. (I read several of your answers to other similar complaints, please don’t tell me I have to go online for tips or contact the “developers “. There’s enough negative feedback here for decent metrics.) It’s a great game, but not everyone is made of money. I wouldn’t mind spending some on your game, if it didn’t feel like you’re progressively gouging me. That just pisses me off. So, until there’s more options, I’ll delete the game & spend my money elsewhere.

Unbalanced Game, Cash Grabber. Greta game, but the developers obviously did not sit down to play these levels. If they had as they’ve claimed that they have tested the game, they would find it as frustrating to pass the levels with the purple gels and spider webs without spending money on power ups. I have not spent any money on this game nor will I ever because I don’t care much for games that require expenditures in order to advance, ie the downfall of the once King of Matching, Candy Crush. I only play this game to kill time, but they won’t get a penny from me due to the cheating mechanics of some of the levels with the aforementioned challenges. People got tired of spending and only to pass 2 levels before having to spend again to pass the next 3 levels. This is robbery in disguise and those of you that buy the power ups only contributes to these peoples likelihood to continue to cheat players. Don’t waste your money on this game, there are better games worth your money in the App Store.

Patience required. First of all, I was astonished to read bad reviews for this game, especially the ones stating that there are not enough clock hands on the screen to beat different levels. Additional clock hands drop as you remove the ones on screen. So it is never impossible to beat a level. Nor is it impossible to beat levels without spending money. Having said that, this is the most difficult match 3 game I have ever played. It often requires strategy to create the matches you need to win. Some levels have required many, many attempts to win. As someone else stated, this is not a game about leveling up quickly. It is a game with beautiful graphics, and brilliant design. I actually did spent $5 once because I thought the developers deserved it.

No chance winning at higher levels. Too much $$$. The problem is not with the program but with your setup. I love this game, however there is no way to play forward without buying coins in a large quantity. I hate the webs in the games that keep expanding after you have cleared the square. Also, I have played many games with exploding bombs. Your settings however have too many timed bombs going off at the same time. Add to that the creeping webs and there is no way anyone could play these games without spending large sums of cash. These games are supposed to be fun. They were until you get to the higher levels. Then it becomes stressful. I am going to have to delete the app. Too much money. Too much stress and difficult to find a way to contact customer support. It should be in the games settings. Sent from my iPhone

Changes have ruined play. I’m a long time player. Or should I say, I WAS a long time player. I used to play for hours every day. I regularly bought booster packs, gold passes and other offers. This was to both aid my game play and support the developers. Then I noticed the rewards at the end of events were shrinking. 24 hours of unlimited play became 18 hours, then 12…1 hour of lightning booster became 15 minutes. It used to be a rush to finish an event to get the “prizes” - and I bought booster packs to finish those events. The next change was the creeping increase in cost of boosters and passes - for fewer items. The final straw was the ads. At first the ads were optional - if you watch you could add a few extra moves or gain a booster/time. Now the ads are appearing after every stinking level. I see from other dev comment responses that we can pay our way out of ads - for a MONTHLY fee. If the “return on investment” was worth it I’d stick around but the price is just too high. The claim is it’s to allow them to bring a better experience and I understand they need to make money to continue development but it’s gone too far and I can no longer pay for something that is taking more than it gives.

It’s okay. Not what I expected. So I saw this on an ad and it looked so good. Went to check it out the description say mini games and sounded just like the ad. I’ve had the app for maybe a week now and I’m thinking of deleting it. I’ve spent WAY to much money just to pass beginning levels because you can’t win them. It’s definitely not like the ad said with mini games. The first thing the ad I saw showed was these gem puzzles where you have to fit pieces together. Haven’t seen one of those. You get toned it these “side quest” junk that the levels are hard right as you start and if you get past one and lose the second you start back at one. I was really hoping this was gonna be the game that I saw in the ad not a match three only game. If I wanted that I would have just downloaded bejeweled again. This gets old quick and a waste of money.

The Clockmaker. Enjoying a game comes down to the time I set aside to play it & what it costs me. As I handle the handicaps of Multiple Sclerosis I find I enjoy games that challenge my memory the most. Since 1985, this Relapsing-Remitting MS has seen improvement in treatments. With hundreds of prayers being offered on my behalf as well as answered by my LORD, I’m still walking, able to paint, teach painting & Bible class. Games like this that I play sometimes for a couple of hours, challenge my brain. That’s what I cherish the most! I have almost nothing to spend & this costs me very little, except time. My eyes are exercised. Thank you for keeping this affordable for this 60yr old woman! Thank you for the rewards that come in moments of replaying an area & seeing the smiling face of your Uncle. THANK YOU!

Video glitch. I love this game and play it daily. However, recently I’ve been getting repeated messages “The video is currently unavailable. Please try again.” This happens when you select the video option to gain three extra moves, on the daily spin when you can watch a video (aka commercial) to double the daily prize and when you select video to gain a boost for a game. It’s VERY frustrating and disappointing. I hope this can be resolved. Also, the spider web games have to go. Halloween is over. Give us snowflakes or something, but I’m so sick of spider webs blocking my progress that I just quit when I find a level with them in it. However, the Christmas decorations in town are gorgeous. That was a delight to discover at the beginning of December.

Impossible & Annoying 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m not sure how there is “supposedly” more 5 star review than 1 star review! When there is clearly WAY MORE 1 star REVIEWS than 5 stars! The truth is the 1 star reviewers are all telling the truth about this app!! Anyhoo...it’s is a game designed to keep you playing ...however at the monetary expense of the player. I am not going to get into the details because plenty of people have expressed them already, just scroll down and read all the 1 star reviews. The app developers comments are of no help either. Thank God I have not spent a dime and refuse to. They won’t get my money because I believe this game was designed to be unbeatable & Impossible unless you keep spending your money buying boosters, rubies, etc. That’s why when you loose your lives and need rubies there is none to achieve. You have to buy them. Not cool! I’m deleting this and going back to Candy Crush which took me a bit to get to level 1500, but Candy Crush beats this app any day, because they actually reward you when you achieve levels. Best of luck

A few tweaks would be nice. I’ve been playing Clockmaker for sometime now and enjoy it very much. The varied levels and events keep things interesting, fun and challenging. I do however, have a few complaints that I’m sure many have noticed. At the end of a level, if you lose, there is no lag or time out to view the board so you can plan a better strategy for your next try. I am really disappointed that there is no “second thoughts” button when you hit “continue” after losing a level. I have inadvertently hit “continue” only to watch my rubies dwindle by 5’s even though I didn’t mean to. I still thinks this is a great game, but the issues I’ve mentioned occur repeatedly and are extremely frustrating.

It ok.... So I saw this on a add on one of my games and I was all like “ this looks fun.” So in that add it had the thing were you have to try to fix things like put out he fire but you have to guess witch it is, and if u put matches in it the fire gets bigger but if u put water in it it goes out. Now I’ve always wanted one of those games so I downloaded it. When I got it I saw it was just one of those 3 or more gem matching games. WHAT HAPPENED. This is not what the add showed. I HATE 3 or more gem matching games. Now I mean this add show up a lot on my game and it still just shows the guess thingy. This needs to be fixed because this game is false advertising. This is also clickbate. It’s always trying to get you to buy stuff. Like if u lose at the game you have to pay 5 gems to continue it doesn’t even have a no thanks button or try again, so then you have to go all the way out. And it is always like “get a reward if you buy this.” Thanks but no thanks, not giving u my money

Nice game but impossible to win without spending real $$$. I do love this game but it’s frustrating as heck! I’m slowly coming to my end and that’s sad. A few things. First... why is there no PAUSE button??? I can not tell you how many times I’ve been playing and finally get past a hard level and win my prizes... several infinite boosters that go for 1 or 2 hours. That’s great except for when your tired and you realize you’ve finished a section without warning and now you have to 10-12hrs of unlimited boosters but you need to sleep. A PAUSE button needs to stop the game where you are and preserve everything you have earned until you come back. It’s completely bogus to come back and everything is wiped clean!! Second... I love hard games and I’m pretty good are matching these gems to cause maximum damage but the Rubies cost TOO MUCH! You may get 1 from the daily spin, but there should be another way to earn them. Not just BUY them so the developers get rich. Third...the Ruby count NEEDS to be on screen at all times! During games it’s too easy to lose track and end up out. There is no way to go back and look during a game. Fourth... where are the PILES AND PILES of boosters??? I’ve seen the commercials where they win and piles of boosters fall down and the count goes up 50-60 of each one! Which game IS THAT??? Nothin I’ve run across yet. That’s enough.. except do house eventually run out?? Can you clear a house??

I keep it around for the graphics. Hi, I have read some of the reviews and most seem to have a common theme, the story lines are silly and not necessary. I like the challenge but there are times when the game is so ridiculously hard I give up and don’t play it for months. I do not purchase any lives or tools. I never do in any game. Some are really cool like the lizard maze. What you may want to consider is doing away with the stork e and just having to go through each level to get to the next. And maybe when you have power gems side by side that are the same letting them do things like clear the board. Bonuses like a bomb or something g when you clear 10 levels etc. The game is really fun until it’s frustrating to the point I’ve considered deleting it. I hope you consider a bit of a 2021 revamp. You could make the really unique game an awesome game. I mean no disrespect to the person who worked hard in developing it.

These Good Reviews Must Be Fake. I’ve had this game on my pad for a few years but it’s honestly the worst game I’ve ver played. I don’t play it often because once you get past level 2 or 3 it’s not winnable without spending a ton on pretty bad tools like bombs, lightning, etc.. They really don’t help much. The game is obviously designed to end right before your last move or two, so if you don’t buy these lame tools you have no chance of progressing at all really. I think I’ve gotten to level 5 with some earned rewards but there’s no way I’d throw anymore cash into this would be money pit. I bought packs a few times but the tools got used up in one try so after that I decided not to spend anymore. I’m good at games like this but doomed to fail at this one. It’s very frustrating and aggravating. I feel worse for playing it which isn’t why people play games. It’s pointless so I’m deleting it.

Inconsistent, buggy, and similar to other puzzle games. Game quits on you and then punishes you for it. When game crashes and you use items you lose them and have to start over. Game should at least restore your your items or puzzle enhancements when it crashes. It’s not the players fault that the app can’t stay consistent. While enjoyable at first, the puzzle difficulty is inconsistent and spikes fast in some events. While characters are ok, others just drain the experience. There have been times when the game unexpectedly quits in the middle of the puzzle but the player gets penalized or doing in game purchases. It can’t seem to run well when listening to iTunes (In game music is meh) or some other apps are open. While some puzzles and events are unique, it is similar to other match puzzles. I was hoping for more variety. Overall not the best but not the worst.

FAVORITE GAME! No Need to Pay to Play Unless You Are Impatient. I LOVE this game and never get bored with it like most other games. I think I’ve been playing Clockmaker for over 2 years! I notice that the people giving it low ratings say “you have to pay to play this game to get past levels”. That is not true. If you are impatient at the difficult levels and you want to get boosters, you will have to pay for those. But you will earn them over time. I save mine up for the hard levels some levels take two to three days to get past. Kudos to the developers for putting together an engaging, visually intriguing fun game that is challenging. Love the graphics!!!!

STOP WITH THE UPDATES!!!! ALMOST DAILY !Too many FORCED updates!. I hate the " FORCED" updates! It should be an option! I've been playing this for a long time and with every update there’s MORE & MORE ADDS! SMDH! And a lot of the games and adds that you’re showing on your game are SCAMS!! In general, That’s not doing your reputation any good if you’re advertising for anyone who pays you for a spot! Those games you advertise not only are all the “free money, give a way games” scam artists who also put garbage on your phone, they are also trying to get information off your phone! I think maybe It’s time to find a better, safer game that isn’t going to sell out their “loyal” gamers!! SMDH! You All need to check into what I’m saying! Download just 1 of the games these people advertise for and You’ll start getting scammer messages & phone calls there’s no way to stop the messages or phone calls either!!!

Fun but frustrating. I’ve been playing this game for about 2 months now and have gotten to the point where I think I may just delete it. I frequently get stuck on levels that I have to play again and again (the spider webs are the worst), and you only get one new life every 30 minutes, up to a maximum of 5 lives. Occasionally I’ll get an unlimited lives period reward, but they’re most often for 30 minutes or 1 hour and if I can’t immediately sit there playing for that period of time, they go to waste. Devs, maybe you could allow players to manually start the infinite life period? Because otherwise it’s often useless. Also, 5 gems to continue playing a level is insanely expensive. Also also, if you win one gem in the daily spin, there’s a graphic of a pile of gems, which is totally misleading - not cool.

Too many crashes, ads use up limited time special add ons. Update 6/18: running iOS 12.5.4 with 12gb of storage available. After today’s clockmaker update I get a notice that my device is no longer supported and the app will no longer open. I used to be able to get around this by running in airplane mode, but even that doesn’t work any longer. Hard restart usually helps, not this time. Offloading the game through iPad storage and reinstall didn’t work. Very disappointed. Would never have downloaded app update if had known this would be the outcome. If your going to cram ads into game every 15 seconds, at least make sure they work properly and don’t crash the game! Also stop the countdown clock for “timed” special add ins during the ads! Out of 30 minutes of free play, got 14 minutes after ads, crashes and This game used to be much more stable.

BUYER BEWARE!!!. THESE ARE RIP-OFF ARTISTS! Their games are initially fun and challenging, however, once you are hooked you have to purchase (expensive) gems if you hope to compete and actually complete (win) games. No game is fun if it’s impossible to win, so you spend your expensive gems, 5 for 10 more moves (minimum cost $0.40), only to “win” on the next move. Or “spend” more “expensive” gems to continue because you are oh, so close to winning. Next 10 moves cost 7 gems or a minimum of $0.70; the next 10 cost 11 gems at a minimum cost of $0.88; next 10 cost 16 gems a minimum of $1.28; and so on. I say minimum because this is the cost only if you’re “lucky” enough to get one of their SPECIAL deals. Buy a regular “deal” and you’ll pay at least double those prices. BUT THAT IS NOT THE WORST OF IT! Upon reviewing my PayPal payments to these rip-off artists, I discovered duplicate charges on the same day, and charges in amounts that don’t match anything I did purchase. My appeals to PayPal were denied because of the purchases that I had actually authorized. I’m deleting the app and will NEVER download an app from this group again.

Perfect if you’re a smart player. I only downloaded this game last week and I’ve already accrued so much free playing time that I’m addicted. It’s true that the levels are challenging and requiring multiple attempts to pass. However, once you play the side games and win prizes, you quickly win free playing time and boosters to help your game play. I can’t put this game down (though I should ;) because the side games give so much incentive to keep playing. I also have a rule to never make in-app purchases, so it is completely possible to earn plenty of free energy without buying anything! I enjoy challenging games and this one is keeping my interest so far. Keep up the ability to win free play time because I did run out of lives quickly when I first started the game!!

Clockmaker. I really , really love this game ,even though I get a lil frustrated sometimes when I am about to win and my time runs out , or I haven’t any rubies and in the game a moved made doesn’t allow a piece to move taking up to 4 moves to move it using up my rubies and time, it’s exciting and frustrating at the same time, I want to holler “ you cheating me” 😂but I know it’s just how it goes so if I don’t have coins I have to just pace my self until I do. I do enjoy your gaming though, it just a lil costly at times, seems the only time I have a winning streak is when I have rubies, 🤷🏽‍♀️oh well I guess I will just have to keep playing to get better strategies to winning a level. Thanks for a exciting game expensive, with no lower sales , but exciting and great time spent $ , as well.

Game is great!. I’m all the way to the school and still love the game. Are the challenges hard? Some but always able to win. I have not spent one cent on this game and have still managed to get through the levels. Not spending money means you have to play that level a little longer but persevere and change you’re strategy and you will prevail. It has never taken weeks to finish a challenge. Does it get frustrating? Sure it does but when I do I change up the strategy. Sometimes it’s just a level where everything needs to be blown up so I start looking for ways to make explosions. It’s not rocket science so have fun, that’s why they call them games. Enjoy!!

Stop it. I get ads are a necessary evil but this latest update they have become more obtrusive and many ignore or override the games sounds setting. If I have the sound muted the ads should not blast audio at full volume some with no way to mute them. Also some have suddenly become multiple screen ads and started popping open the App Store page for the app being advertised, why? I have had some ads play multiple times and then the screen will clear and I’m just left with a black screen that sometimes goes back to the game or I’ll have to close the game and reopen it. The intrusive nature of these ads are sucking the enjoyment of a game that i really enjoyed now I find myself just letting it sit. Hopefully you folks can at least have them respect the audio settings because I want to love the game again but in its current state I can’t

Candy. I absolutely love this game, however there are a few things I would like to modify. Some of the levels are impossible to get through, having to hit pieces twice to achieve the task set up and more obstacles to get through then necessary to make the level challenging. Could you please explain what the rewards are and how to use them, except for the boosters I have no idea what to do with the rewards I have and one other thing how do you get rubies and/ or lives besides purchasing them? I have been so frustrated with some of the levels I have thought of deleting the game from my phone due to playing the level several times and getting nowhere even with boosters. Thank you for your interest in my opinion.

Used to Be the Best. Clockmaker used to be my #1 mobile time waster. Though the “match 3” genre is flooded, Clockmaker always had the right mix of aesthetics, music, and free to play features. You could play for free, without ads, or you could spend money on boosters and expanded prizes during events. It was easily a 5-star game at the time. Like a lot of older games, however, Clockmaker has gone the way of ads. A lot of ads. To play ad free today, you have to pay a monthly subscription. And like too many mobile ads today, they’re loud, force open the App Store, and feature a microscopic “x” that takes time to even appear. I used to just enjoy playing Clockmaker, because it was relaxing (that’s why I chose it). Now I constantly feel a slight sense of dread as I await the next ad surprise. Though I still play it currently, I also find myself daily debating whether to delete it from my phone. The sad part to me is that I used to spend money on the game from time to time. But I refuse to do so while ads are being shoved down my throat. And I refuse to pay a subscription to play ad free. Maybe the developers legit don’t make enough money without the ads, but I don’t see these moves as being good for the game.

Fun to play but very expensive.. I love the game it fun to play and very challenging. Some boards are way too difficult even for an avid challenge seeking person like me. You can earn or buy infinite lives at a fairly high price. But even when you pay $15 for infinite lives they last 24 hours. No not 24 hours of play! 24 hours of real time. Who plays for 24 hours? So you pay $15 play an hour and go to work. You do normal daylong activities, spent an hour on the game before bed and when you got back to the game your purchase has vanished. That is insane. I made several purchases but won't spend anymore on this game. It seems to me that if you spend money (more than $50) on a game you should own it outright and get to play without spending more. Same issue with the tools than can be used. You have to spend a lot of money to get them. Yes you can earn some through play, but the makers of the game are greedy and stingy with what you can earn. My advice stay away from this game.

Fun but…. This game is fun but once you start moving up the levels it becomes so hard to progress and win without having to buy gems! Of course, the game is supposed to get harder with every passing level but some of these puzzles feel like they are impossible without some sort of assistance with power ups which are given out rarely. And I don’t like that most of the rewards consist of infinite lives ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours! I’ve accumulated so many hearts that I could essentially play for however long I want but I don’t want infinite lives! What I need are power ups and tools without having to buy them! I don’t know if that’s what the game creators intended and, if so, then I won’t play the game anymore. So, if you’re okay with blowing a bunch of money then this game is for you!

Disappointed and Upset. I’ve been playing this game for awhile now. I really love it. I’m not a big game player so if I find one I like, it must really be something. Or so I thought. After a while, when I was happy I found a game I really enjoyed, I noticed I could not play as long. I started getting prompts to pay for extra gems/time, etc. This started to occur every day, several times per day. If I wanted to continue to play, I had to make a purchase. I do not have any extra money to spend. I’m on a tight budget. With that said, I am sad to say I fell for these tactics. It’s my own fault for caving. I have spent a lot of money on this game. However, those responsible for setting up these types of games the way they do, and banking on the fact that there are people like me who will buy into this manipulation...should be ashamed. I’m done. There are plenty of games that are fun, free, and do not have all of these necessary in app purchases. They may not be as fun, but at least they are not greedy manipulators.

Loved it, but removed it. I have just removed Clockmaker from my iPhone and iPad. Not because I didn’t enjoy the game, I did! After playing it every day for about two months, I finally reached a point where I could go no further without buying moves. I am retired and do not spend my money on games. Also, could have lasted longer if I was on Facebook, but I don’t use that, so, some of the rewards were not available to me. Please understand…this is a fun pastime, well put together and great graphics. I would recommend the game to anyone, just be aware that if you’re not on Facebook and don’t pay for game lives, you will reach a point one day when you realize no matter how much you play you are at the end of the road. I close by saying, to the creators, thanks for the hours of fun I had.

Too many ads and attempts at money grabs!!. This use to be a fun game, but the addition of all the ads that are intrusive, and for questionable games, has left me on the verge of deleting it. I have read the developer’s response to similar complaints by stating the ads are necessary to support further game development, but then why are we still subjected to near constant appeals to buy these extra gems or those extra boosters or just plain more time to play? I would have more compassion and understanding for that whole “we need funding to further the game” argument if we weren’t CONSTANTLY asked for money AND advertised to with horrible commercials for awful games. I’m trying to hold out for another game update that I hope will make all of this better, but I don’t know if it’s worth my time. I should also add that I have never written a review for a game before, but these ads have made the game so unbearable I was moved to write this review.

Engaging and fun. I love this game 😁 I always read the reviews before downloading a new game, and found this one had quite a few complaints. Mostly that the levels get too challenging! If you are one of those people who want instant gratification always, this is not the game for you. However, if you want a game that will make you think, and continue to give you challenges as you progress, you will love it! There are many ways to get power ups and bonus lives, as well as hours or days of infinite lives. You may have to go through areas multiple times to get the items needed for the story line, but you can get there without having to fork out real money. Patience is rewarded in this game!
