Fantastic for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned artist in Zentangle or just starting, this is such a valuable resource. It's fun to see the preview, great how it is arranged alphabetically, and the most important part: it has incredibly great tangles. I refer to it when wanting to learn something new or needing a refresher of something I haven't drawn for awhile. WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!!! So glad I got this app!

Great concept, nice resource. It is nice to have all of the tangle patterns in one place. I hope the makers consider expanding to include more tangles in the future or adds shading options. It seems like this app was really designed for the phone. when you use it on the iPad, the resolution isn't so great and the images aren't as sharp as they should be for that display. Still a nice resource.

Crashing with IOS 13. Please update. It’s a great app, but keeps crashing with latest IOS update

Inspirational. I am new to this style of art and really appreciate that this is here and free. These examples are a great starter. I have taken so many ideas from here and ran with them.

Great for inspiration and creativity. This app is great for creativity and inspirations. I find myself trying each pattern out, then, I try to "make it my own" by adding darks and lights and changing (perhaps) the focus of a drawing. It's so fun that I'm addicted to drawing everyday. This app makes complex drawings easy to learn. I've been doing zentangle for about 2 years now and have at least 6-8 Bristol board notebooks filled with drawings. I'm inspired by this app.

Hoping For More. I love this app! I was only just recently introduced to Zendoodling, and I can't seem to get enough of it. I've rented some books from the library about the subject and practice as much as I can. I love the setup of this app, but I wish there was more. In my opinion it's not worth $5, more like $2 maybe $3. But, I just recently had a birthday where I was given an ITunes gift card so I didn't feel bad about purchasing it--yay! To improve the app, I wish that tanglers using this app could add their own tangles and tutorials (maybe upload pictures of their creations?). I have only just started making my own tangles. I get my inspiration from nature--I see something particularly beautiful and I snap a pic with my phone so I can look at it later and (try!) to recreate it. Maybe there could be a section of this app that allows photos of inspiration to be uploaded? That also would be neat.

PLEASE COME BACK!. Dear Developer, This was by far one of my favorite apps. I know there was a short lived bug and users rushed to trash the app, but there are also those of us that have been waiting for you to come back. UPDATE PLEASE! We miss you.

Fantastic. I'm an avid "tangler" on the go. I carry my pens and paper with me and draw in coffee shops between appointments. I love having hundreds of tangle options at my fingertips. I especially like the heart favorites option. I actually sit with my phone while watching tv and heart ones I want to do in the future. This is fantastic. Thank you!!

Excellent collection. I have been tangling for several months and have been collecting patterns from art books. I am delighted with this collection. It is well worth the nominal cost. You would have to purchase a lot of books to get this collection. My only complaint is that a few of the instructions for patterns (i.e., "intersect") are incorrect or incomplete. But this is only a minor complaint.

Love it! Will there be more?. I really love this app especially when I am on the fly and want a portable reference I love the step-by-step instructions. I am wondering if there will be new patterns added? I really don't want to have to purchase a book or another app And hope new patterns are added to this app!

Not what it promises - at all. I have never written a negative review for any app and I am an iPhone owner since the first generation. While this apps does show many Tangles - it does not clearly show you at all the steps or how to achieve them - in fact, upon clicking on a tangle it brings you to flickr and shows you additional pictures- this is in no way a learning tool but a catalog of tangle patterns and personally I would like to delete this app and get a refund. I purchased it last night and I am more than disappointed. Hope the developer makes right if this -

Deceiving. I thought that this app would allow me to do zen tangles on my iPad. That is *not* the case. All it does is show you patterns that you can then print up for later to do with pencil/paper. Not sure why I need an iPad app for that.

Updates????. If you're on a device that doesn't have Internet access, this app might not be for you. Each pattern is linked to their step-out online. So without Internet access, all you have is a picture to reference. But this isn't what bothers me about paying $4.99 for this app. What bothers me is that is hasn't been updated since it was released in Oct. '14. Not one single pattern has been added since Oct. '14. In the Zentangle community patterns are being added everyday, but even if they weren't, at the point when this app was released there were OVER 700 patterns cataloged on a great site called Tanglepatterns (which also only links to step-outs). So needless to say, the developers of this app had a lot of catching up to do, but are doing a poor job of it. I would only suggest this app to someone who is an absolute beginner, but I would do it with great hesitation, because I don't think one should pay $4.99 for an app they'll outgrow it in a month or two. This wouldn't be the case if the developers would take some time to add a few new tangles every month or so.

What you see is what you get. Since I purchased this app over 2 years ago, there have been zero added tangles. Not worth the $. Go to Pinterest and find free stepouts.

Nice selection. This app has a nice selection of tangles, a lot of my faves, but of course I wish there were more! It's great to have these right on my phone!

Awesome app!. I love this app. It not only gives me new tangles, but it gives me ideas on new ones for me to create. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to tangle, or is wanting to learn. The steps are very explanatory.

Very Dissappointing. I was excited to see this but let down. The steps aren’t complete and you can find better patterns online for free. I wish I could get my money back.

Great app but it crashes. It crashes almost instantly every time I open a tangle to try. Very frustrating.

Just what I've been looking for!. This is a wonderful app! Love it's simplicity. Love love love the randomizer! I'm thrilled to have a tangle library always in my purse or pocket! Only one thing I can think of that would make it better--categories--official, round, linear, grid, etc. and the ability to randomize within each category. Even customizable categories! And filters! And a way to add my own tangles with thumbnail and step out images. But still in love with this app!

Very user-friendly. I’ve only been using this a short time, but find it quite easy to use. There are very good directions, and a nice variety of designs, which update periodically.

Hope. I have no artistic talent, but always wanted to draw and paint. This app is perfect. The starter and steps gives you the base needed to create your own piece. Since I don’t have the eye nor the talent to copy a piece, everything becomes my own creation with the inspiration from the app. This has given me hours of fun and relaxation and even a piece or two to give to friends and hang on my own wall. Thanks much!

Disappointed. I thought this would have tracing type feel to it where you actually draw over the red lines. I didn’t want just pictures. I wish I didn’t spend my money :(

Constantly crashing. iOS 13.1.2, and after about three clicks within the app it crashes. I like the concept of the app but regret spending money on it. Super Frustrating.

Love this app!. This app is exactly what I needed! It has a huge variety of patterns to choose from, and you can use filters to narrow down your choices if necessary. When you select a pattern you like, you’re given step-by-step instructions on how to draw it. You can also save your favorites. I do a lot of doodling, usually using my own patterns and just letting the pen go wherever it wants. But I often find myself in a rut, drawing the same thing over and over. I have many Zentangle books to refer to, but it can get cumbersome flipping through the pages, and trying to keep the book open while practicing the pattern. So I was very excited when I found this app! It makes the whole process so much easier.

App reboots. I’m new to tangles. I’m enjoying exploring and playing with them after this Oct 2019 update.

Overall Good. I have many books filled with tangles but having them on my phone is very helpful. I would love to see some improvements. I would love to have pictures of variations of the different tangles. Seeing the different possibilities of each tangle helps me be more creative in my own tangling.

A blank square next to the drawing so we could practice with our Ipens would be awesome. Excellent app for tangle reference. Like this a lot, well thought out, easy to follow, lots of variety, plus developer does add new tangles. Way easier than my book to use.

Great collection of Tangles!. This is a very comprehensive collection of Tangles. The step by step directions are very clear. The only thing it lacks is a photo option for you to store pictures of your efforts.

Junk. Doesn't draw on iPad

Great Tangles. The selection is great. The steps are easy to follow. The lock feature is very nice. The thumbnails seem a bit small and blurry. I wish I could add a pic of my own tangles to the favorites section or a separate section.

Love it!. This is the best tangle app, I love how it's setup. I gave it four stars because I really wish I could add more tangles and make it my tangle library. There's an app that I can do that with, but the setup isn't nearly as nice.

Zentangle App. It's a good app and it helps with inspiration blocks. In the app title though, it says that there are 251 patterns although I only have about 100 shown on the app. I might me missing something but if I'm not I want my money back.

Great Zentangle App. This is a great app for inspiration on the go! I would rate it 5 stars if new Tangle Patterns were added to the library more frequently (monthly??) Don't hesitate to purchase this version - it's really good!

Terrific for stranglers. I never buy iPhone apps but I'm so glad I bought this one. Scrolling through the little portholes reminds me of favorites and encourages me to try new ones.

Good app. I do like the overall view of so many tangles at once, but some of the breakdowns need more steps to be clear. So far, one, I remember, "Alaura" had steps that didn't even match the final picture.

Disappointing. Can't believe I paid $4.99 for this considering that most apps are .99 or less. This is mostly links to other sites. Very poor instructions. Impossible to enlarge photos to get a detailed look. I usually don't write reviews but please don't waist your money.

This is not a tutorial. This is a complete waste of money. There are no interactive tutorials in place—you can't even draw or practice steps within the app. What's the point of an app if you need paper and could just have used a web browser? This is literally just screenshots of things taken off a website—hell, half of the app takes you to a url anyway! To add insult to injury, the images are pixelated. A total scam. Save your $5.

I'm a thirsty beginner and love it. What I like about the application the most. Is the web link. I love giving credit to the idea owners and this program does it. I would like to add photos to the database and that is a fiction we are still missing. Still I'd recommend it highly

Fix favorites please. This is a great app to grab a bit of inspiration with your Tangles. I love that I have the steps right on my phone for use it on the go. Would be 5 Stars if I could use the favorites.

Best resource to date. I've browsed dozens of paperbacks and ebooks and purchased a few of each, but this app surpasses all of them in clarity of instructions, appeal of the designs, and ease of use. Well done!

Great app, please keep expanding!. It's wonderful to have tangles so handy on my phone, and the steps are really helpful. I wish there were more original tangles, because some of these definitely aren't tangles, just patterns, but that's really my only complaint. Keep adding more!

Very good app. This is a great little app, I really like how many different tangles are offered. Im giving it 4 stars because I think some of the break downs are a little off or have have too many steps depicted at once. Overall a great app and I have been able to make many wonderful art pieces with it.

First Tangle App. This is the first Zentangle app I have ever tried, and I am enjoying it. I like the variety, although I wish there were an organization system based on categories of tangle styles, such as organic, geometric etc.

I've always been looking for this!. As a big Zentangle fan, it's super hard to find reliable and interesting apps like this. If you want to find new patterns and discover them, this THE app. Totally worth 5 bucks.

Must Have for tanglers!. Love the variety and selection of tangles to choose from! Steps to execute are clear and easy to understand! I would love to have a way to add my own tangles to the list. Hopefully this will be an option as an upgrade!

10-minute meditations. I really enjoy having this app on my phone. I used to play solitaire or another game if I had 5-10 minutes during the day to take a little break, but zentangles are better-- beautiful and soothing. And the app is lovely to use. 😌

Very pixelated (iPad pro and iPad Air 2 on wi-if). I love that I can get inspiration from this app but the images are very pixelated on my iPad Pro 12" as well as the iPad Air 2. I have looked at the images on a good wi-if connection and without wi-if. I hope the app is updated so the images are less pixelated and I'd be happy to see new images added often.
