Customer Service is Nonexistent. I have a paid account with Skillshare. I have been trying to gain access to my account for over a week now. I believe that it was hacked as I have already confirmed with Skillshare that the account on file under my card does not have my email address and instead has one I have never used/had ownership of. Since then I have been getting the runaround from their support team. I have submitted my drivers license & charge info & now they are wanting my ip address? They have since closed my ticket & I still do not have access to my account. Skillshare support is only available through email but will take over 24hrs to respond to each one & it’s always another agent who has no idea what’s going on. All responses are not helpful & appear to be automated as if they don’t actually read your issue. If you decide to get a membership be aware that if you have any account issues they don’t have people to help you.

Fraud. This app does not show up under Apple subscriptions. I canceled my membership within the app and had not used the app for a year. I was surprised by a $165 charge on my credit card today so I addressed it with them via email (they don’t have a customer service number) and they denied my refund. I complained and they escalated it and they denied it again. My membership is cancelled and I cannot use the app. It doesn’t even allow the courtesy, like most apps, to continue using for the time you’ve paid even after cancellation. They’ve basically just stolen my money. I consider this fraudulent behavior and would like to warn people against signing up with this company. Companies should be required to show their app in Apple Subscriptions AND send a renewal notice, or in the very least, have a phone number to call. Sketchy company.

Skillshare is the NO #1 app for learning new things.. I’ve tried various apps for learning, none of them have been satisfying so it was with reservation that I tried Skillshare. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The lesson get straight to the subject, the instructors explain everything with clarity and don’t waste any time on unnecessary babbling. For all that you can learn on Skillshare, I find the price to be great. I can actually afford it and for everything that you can learn, I can only say that it’s Amazing! Some of the classes are surprisingly interesting. I have found classes, for example, on designs that I’ve never even thought about. On Skillshare you can discover all kinds of classes that are completely new to you, or new aspects that you can add to skills and knowledge that you already have. If you like to learn new things, I highly recommend Skillshare.

Great Source for Learning & Improving Skills. I subscribed to Skillshare about a year ago to learn more about creating digital art in Procreate and Affinity Designer. It’s been an awesome source of inspiration for me. There are so many classes to choose from, and most of the instructors are really great. I’ve learned so much! Thank you to all the instructors who create these wonderful classes. The Skillshare app itself works quite well. I use it mostly on my iPad. One request - it would be great if it was possible to download source materials like brushes directly from the app instead of having to switch to the browser version.

Needs a lot of improvement. It is nice having this app available for iPad and Apple TV, however, it really lacks features that should be basic. There is no search function. It does not show all classes you have saved. You cannot remove classes via the app. It does not have the option to autoplay the next video in the class, which is annoying when some video chapters are only a minute or two in length. You are constantly tied to your remote to start the next video. That is probably my biggest problem with the app. But, I also want to have access to all of the classes and Lists that I set up on the website, which the app does not provide. So, I am relegated to streaming from Safari on my iPad and mirroring it to the Apple TV.

Great listening, not so easy navigation. This app has been very helpful for me. I enjoy listening to the videos while doing tasks around the house, especially if the content doesn’t rely too heavily on visuals. My only complaint is that the navigation system for finding new classes is somewhat outdated in terms of design. Also it’s hard to know if a class is credible, and I’ve seen a range of quality in courses. I wish there were more creators that I could trust on the platform, then I would feel like this is a really quality platform to invest in 100% of the time. But if Skillshare doesn’t get a grip on quality control, people are going to not see the point in paying for a subscription.

Fairytales, Flowers & Moonbeams.... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❣️ I LOVE Skillshare❣️ In fact, throughout 2020 I allocated more and more of my “free time” and “downtime” to this app and painting and inking... Also when I wanted to be creative but didn’t feel like sitting down and painting myself, I would watch lessons just for the sheer joy of it. I discovered new favorite art supplies, watercolor techniques, inks, brushes, and papers. I stretched myself to put my class projects out there and I love my instructors. What’s more, I love seeing what other students are creating and I feel like I’ve found my virtual art family which has been a huge blessing for me in 2020. I took my insomnia to art classes and enjoyed the lullabies full of inspiring content, comforting voices, fairy tales, moonbeams, flowers, and sugar plums... Best investment I made in 2020!

Good but wish it was better. The content is amazing and I’m learning so much but for $15/month I should be able to cast it to my tv and watch the videos anywhere I want. It’s crazy to me that for a product with so many helpful tip videos the app has such a poor user experience. I can’t edit my lists in the app there isn’t a very clean way within the app to organize the classes I want to watch which seems a shame with something with so much content and more coming everyday there’s not a good way to really sift through it all. The app almost seems like it’s designed to be a one off kind of thing like use the free trial and be done there’s no incentive to keep it long term because it doesn’t make it easily accessible long term. If I want to watch 15-20 different classes there’s no way to find the one I want besides sifting through my watch later list. It’s sad that the website is the only way to manage your content like what’s the point of even having the app if it’s just completely inferior to the website in every way. I want to be able to cast to my tv and organize my classes it really doesn’t seem like a whole lot to ask if I’m paying a premium price for content in 2019 it’s not like the service is free. I mean I pay less for Netflix/Hulu and I can cast with both of those. All in all great content dumb app? Maybe the developers of the app can watch a video on Skillshare about app design?

COMPARISON (SKILLSHARE VS. UDEMY). I downloaded this app so I could compare each online learning apps. I will say, as an artist, I was really happy that skillshare was mostly creativity related. I will say that this seems like there is a lot of smaller courses on this app while Udemy, is more of a “big” course app where you pay for one in particular and have all the information you need in whatever you learn. I probably won’t be paying for Skillshare as I payed for courses on Udemy. I feel like if you want a lot of small courses for a good price, use Skillshare. If you want big courses for $20 dollars a piece, go to Udemy. I’d say my preference is Udemy because they have almost every topic. But I also love Skillshare.

For $13 a month, the app needs some work.... Overall, a decent and usable app for watching the course videos. However, some things could definitely be improved. One overall thing that’s lacking in the app is continuity. The website is noticeably more robust than the app. My first and foremost gripe, the lack of speed control. The lack of this feature inherently makes me prefer using a computer to access Skillshare as most of the time I like the lessons to be set to 2x speed. However, while I prefer using the computer I can’t always (nor do I always want to) whip out my laptop and use Skillshare for 15-20 minutes. The second issue, which is just a minor design flaw is that the categories button in the Discover tab should have the sub menus of the categories laid out on the same page. It shouldn’t take 2 separate clicks IMO. Finally, the rotation. It’s just a bit annoying how the video player will only do landscape orientation in one direction. Additionally, the app itself doesn’t have a landscape mode at all while browsing the courses.

App needs work; Otherwise good tool.. I mainly use this app/site for learning art techniques. There’s a couple of features which I feel should be available but aren’t or they aren’t as intuitive as I feel they should be. When viewing a teacher’s profile, you should be able to see all their classes. Right now there’s no easily visible function allowing you to see that unless you go through search results of their name or use the website. The way the website shows that info is great. Not sure why they didn’t do the same on the app. The spacing when viewing a course is good especially if you’re using split screen and have something like Procreate or GoodNotes open.

Website’s great .. app is kind of ‘meh’. I love the website & use it all the time .. sometimes even when I’m trying to use the app, I’ll just stop between videos & go back to the website. Part of the problem is organization. From what I can see, all those handy class lists that you can save to on the website (& can SEE on the app), you can’t actually save new classes to lists on the app .. you only have ‘save’ & ‘unsave’ options which is a real pain when you have a bunch of classes & then have to scroll thro the whole lot of them in order to save it to an individual list .. & this can still only be done from the website .. so if you don’t go straight over to it from the app, you may or may not ever remember to go in & look for it later in the myriad of classes you have saved. The idea of it is really great, I just think the organization of it needs to be increased dramatically in order to make it user-friendly.

Makes a huge difference!!. Before skillshare I would just doodle here and there and wasn’t even thinking of being an artist as I didn’t know that I could create quality sketches. I came across skillshare and downloaded it for fun, but after only taking a few classes I can now sketch realistic portraits!! I highly recommend downloading this app even if you have the slightest interest in art because you may never know the true talents that you have hidden… all it takes is a little bit of guidance. I would give 10 stars if I could!!

Skillshare is awesome but the app is severely lacking. I love Skillshare’s service and recommend it 100%. There is so much great content available and I have learned a lot. However, this app is hot garbage. There’s a lot of functionality on the website that is completely missing from the app, such as being able to access class resources. One thing that’s missing that really irritates me is the My Lists feature. On the website, you can organize your saved classes into lists, but you can’t add classes to your lists from inside the app. There are also lots of UI bugs and/or poor design choices. For instance, if you go to an instructor’s page within the app, it doesn’t actually list all the classes they have available. The only way to see all the instructor’s classes is to put their name in the search bar and scroll through the results there. Another irritating thing I’ve noticed is that if you’re watching a class in full screen and it ends, there’s no way to exit full screen without making the class play again. It’s a small thing, but the app is full of these odd little annoyances. The Chromecast function is also buggy and doesn’t always work well. I put up with the app because I love what Skillshare offers, but it could use a lot of improvements. The website isn’t perfect either (I hate that you can’t visit a class page without it autoplaying), but it’s much better than the app.

Very disappointing from a writer/digital artist’s perspective. I bought the 1 year pay all-at-once package for Skillshare, feeling confident that I’d using the resource continually to improve my digital art and creative writing skills. In the 4 months since I’ve repeatedly tried to give this app another shot just to justify my hastily made decision but the main issue for me grows more and more apparent each time. Every class is geared towards absolute beginners. So if you have an intermediate to advanced understanding of the skill that you’re trying to improve it has virtually no value. Even if you are an absolute beginner I can only recommend getting skillshare for a month just because after you’ve done that hour long class learning the basics you will have little use for the app after that point. I’m really disappointed because I love the direction education is going with these low cost alternatives but unfortunately, it’s like a guitar shop. They make a majority of their profits on people who are just starting out and buying all the equipment and chances are, won’t be playing much after that.

I don’t even know lol. Ok so, I had a one month free trial and literally only watched like 5 minutes worth of content over the period, then I forgot about it and next thing I know I’m negative $140+ in my bank account and I could not get a refund. Now that’s my mistake and my own forgetfulness, but it was a rough start for me lol. The main reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because I cannot use my membership on any other device than my phone. I draw on my iPad and was hoping I could sign in on my iPad with the exact email and password for my profile on my phone. But behold it has an error and I can’t sign into it. The teachers on there are amazing but this definitely is not the best experience. If there’s any way around this please let me know. Thank you.

Skillshare is top notch. The format for skillshare is great for those of us who like a syllabus or outline. You can see where you are going and what the expectations are. It appears that the teachers are well vetted. There are an infinite number of classes and many added weekly. My interest is in art classes and I’ll never run out of urban sketching, drawing and watercolor classes. You can’t go wrong with the price. If I want to take an in person art course locally, I will easily pay the same amount for one course as I would for an unlimited number of courses all year with skillshare. And I can peruse them and the teacher before investing time in a course. You can’t do that at a local gallery. My sister, an accomplished watercolorist bought me a year’s subscription and I will reenrol this coming year.

BE AWARE!!!. SKILLSHARE CAN BE A GREAT APP TO LEARN NEW THINGS IT REALLY CAN AND THAT WHOLE IDEA IS GREAT HOWEVER . Anything that has to do with money with this company is not going to go in your favor i started my trial and cancel my free trial so that want charge my card and they took 19$ out my acc so i texted them and let them know like heyy u took 19$ why u do that ..THEY HIT ME WITH I NEVER CANCEL ..I SAID OKAY KOOL YK IPHONE TELL YOU WHEN U CANCEL SO I SCREENSHOT WITH PROOF EXPLAIN I CANCEL .. THEY STILL HITTING ME WITH I DIDNT CANCEL .I SAID OKAY I SHOWED THEM ANOTHER PROOF OF EVIDENCE THEN I GOT TO THINKING THERES NO PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP THATS 19$ so that couldnt been da reason and why would yall take 19 from me there not even a member ship for 19$ SO AFTER I PROOF FACTS ON TOP OF FACTS THEY EMAIL ME TALKIN BOUT I DONT LIKE YOUR BEHAVIOR AND THE WAY U SPEAKING TO ME AND HAVEN'T REPLIED SINCE (PLEASE BE AWARE GOOD APP BUT IF YOU GET CAUGHT UP IN MONEY THEY IS NOT FOR HELPING YOU GET IT BACK AND IT GONE GIVE U A BAD TASTE IN YO MOUTH KNOWING YOU PROOF ALL FACTS TO THEM AND THEY STILL PLAYED DUMB TRIED YO INTELLIGENT AND IGNORED YOU !!!!!!!!

BEST SITE EVER!. This is the most incredible place to find a wealth of skilled individuals who want to teach, and are extremely good at teaching a multitude of crafts, hobbies and happy healthy living. I’ve supported this site for a number of years now. Sometimes I haven’t had time to take more than a few classes a year, but I believe in what they are doing and how they are trying to reach as many people as possible who would like to learn to do something new or get better at something they already enjoy. I whole heartedly recommend you give SkillShare a try. You’ll be hooked from the first class you take.

Do Not Get Skillshare!!!. It’s great until you have a problem! I had a yearly subscription for $165. I hadn’t used it in several months (my fault) I recently tried to access my subscription, which doesn’t end for about 2 months. I was even considering re-subscribing, but it said my subscription wasn’t valid. I went back and forth through email ( there’s no support phone number). I sent my last email Saturday with the screenshot of the charges and payments to Skillshare and today (Tuesday) I received an email that said since they haven’t heard from me in a few day my support ticket is closed, but I can contact support again and start over. I guess you have to pound this company with emails everyday, but I have a job. I sent them the info they asked for, so why would I email them before I received a response? I’ve subscribed to Skillshare before, but never again.

My new, improved skills. SkillShare is a great place to come to find new ideas and improve on what you know. I have taken many classes on watercolor painting and a few in hand lettering. I love playing with color and style and I have built confidence in my watercolor painting, especially painting outdoors in a natural habitat. I think the hand lettering classes have given me new ideas and an opportunity to express myself in different ways. There are SO many things to learn and try in a short time and this is the place to find those classes that will get you started and really stretch you!

Worth every penny!. If you are the kind of person that likes to learn a bit of everything-then Skillshare is definitely for you. Become a Jack/Jane of all trades, upload work and get feedback, and become the artist, writer, marketeer, or cook you’ve been wanting to be!!! They have cool and diverse teachers which makes it i easier to get the skills you want for your particular niche. Going on year 3 of my subscription and I reckon I will keep learning with them as long as its this affordable. You CANNOT beat this level of instruction and options for the price!

Costs less than art school. Skillshare has been absolutely amazing for the year-ish I’ve had it. I’ve found a really great set of teachers and more classes than I could possibly watch over the course of this entire year. I love the curated suggestions and OMG the new learning paths are the best for mastering the basics of new skills. My creative side is finally being nurtured thanks to Skillshare and the flexibility it gives me to learn at my own pace while working full time! (And this is all coming from someone who accidentally paid for Skillshare and then was determined to use and now will probably never cancel it…)

For hobbyists. I have just cancelled my subscription. But I am writing a review because they won’t leave me alone and is desperate for my attention. I’ve unsubscribed twice and yet daily multiple spam. During my trial, I reached out to ask if the mess of content can be organized by skill level. Beginner/intermediate/professional. They gave me a generic response on how to nevigate by category, obviously they didn’t read the content of my email. I was seeking to learn some more advanced animation techniques, digital painting techniques but only found beginner classes that cover the same basic content. In addition, most of the “instructors” are not teachers or professionals working at a high level. I watched a digital painting class where the instructor taught how to TRACE an imported photo. It was a class suited to kindergarten craft so you can bring home something that looks good but takes NO skill to make. No one is impressed and nothing learned. If you are looking to make fun art or learn a little trick or two to look like you can do something then this maybe for you. If you are serious, looking for technical content similar to a real institution, look elsewhere. Most are hobbyists teaching you basics. Really pricey for the redundant basic lessons repeated over and over.

Invaluable. In terms of app functionality, there are a few things lacking here (search filters!). Otherwise it works perfectly functionally, so I have no noteworthy complaints. That said if you’re on the fence about signing up for a Skillshare account, just do it. I’m the cheapest person I know and after a free trial through SciShow, am gladly paying for a subscription. It is infinitely useful and some of the skills I’ve learned here have paid for my subscription hundreds of time over. It is seriously saturated with content though, so it’s up to you to choose the right classes.

Wish I could give 0 stars. This company should not be successful, based on their customer service. After a free trial that I did not use even once, I cancelled my account and was directed to a confirmation page of cancellation (several days before the trial expired). Weeks later, I was charged $99 for the program! As soon as I saw the charge, I emailed customer service (there is no phone number to call, probably because they don’t want to deal with customers). They proceeded to tell me that I could not get a refund because they can’t see any cancellation attempts??? You can’t see that I cancelled my account, so I am getting charged? When I laid the situation out to the employee, they were completely useless. They told me they can’t help me at all and there’s no way I can get a refund for the service that I NEVER USED and CANCELLED. Why call it customer service at all? More like frustrating email clutter that does not serve any purpose, because they have no power to help you. I’m outraged and would strongly advice you not subscribe or start a “free” trial. You will lose $99 at least and their customer service will be totally powerless. Garbage app, 0/10, would not recommend.

Skillshare offers excellent quality, variety and value. I initially signed up for a month long trial of Skillshare to learn a bit more about painting with acrylics, but there are so many outstanding courses offered that I renewed my membership indefinitely without a second thought. The quality and variety of courses offered are impressive, and would be valuable to anyone looking to begin a new hobby, further enrich their existing knowledge in a specific field, or even learn how to turn a skill or talent into a thriving business. There truly is something for everyone, so I would encourage anyone thinking of joining Skillshare to give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Productivity. I was looking for a platform that would help me improve my productivity. I would take on too much or over schedule myself and as a result, I would feel tremendous stress both at work and in my personal life. I needed to learn new skills to better manage my time and organize myself. So I tried Skillshare and the classes on Productivity have been a game changer. I’ve learned new tips on productivity, from managing my emails to managing my time and the results have dramatically improved my productivity and reduced my stress levels. I look forward to exploring classes on other topics on Skillshare. So far, I am completely satisfied.

Skillshare is grrreat!!. I’ve had the app just a few days but I’m very excited about the possibilities it will afford me. We live in an amazing time and we’d all live a much happier and fulfilled life by realizing and sharing that realization with our individual networks. If you’re in the market for learning any new skill you owe it to yourself and those around you to get this app and share it with your friends and family. Seriously great work and I hope many wonderful things happen for your company because you have rewarded my life and as a result the lives of people I will interact with in the future. Educate yourselves everyone. This is the way!

Great videos but app needs a lot of work. I recently downloaded this app for my Apple TV and signed up for the 30 day trial of premium membership. When I open the app I was excited to see the number of videos and content available on the site. However every time I went to enroll in one of the classes the app crashed and sent me back to the home screen. I then went on my home computer and iPad to see if I can enroll there and then play the videos on my Apple TV. There doesn’t seem to be an enroll option on the website itself you can play all the video there directly. With Apple TV app it locks out all the videos except the intro into you enroll in the class which can only be done through the app. I went to see if there were any updates to the app that I could download but was informed I had the latest version. I will be canceling the subscription before the month is over if these issues are not resolved.

Reviewing App not Platform. I love Skillshare and I have no issues at all with the Skillshare platform. The only issue I have with the app is that I cannot look at or download the class materials on the app or upload my work from the app. This is particularly annoying when the only method I have for photographing my art is my phone or my iPad and I feel like it would be more usable if I could upload directly from that device via the app versus having to email myself the photo and upload it from my computer. This is particularly painful for me because I have satellite Internet on my computer where is on my phone I have unlimited data. Perhaps I have the opposite problem of most people but I live in the wilds of Maine and there is no broadband. Otherwise the app is very convenient and I quite enjoy just watching the classes but I’m waiting in the car somewhere and can’t even do the projects. It’s a good practice to watch the prep classes before you start the project anyway. Great app and I hope that they will consider allowing uploads and downloads within the app.

A happy watercolor newbie!. I’ve surprised myself over and over because of the amazing teachers I’ve been following on my watercolor journey. I never thought I’d be able to paint because I was stuck on the idea that I couldn’t draw. I’ve pushed myself to try new ideas and techniques and have stuck with it. Sometimes I’ve started a project several times over before I was able to get the the results I wanted. I’d recommend Skillshare to anyone who is looking for patient and skilled watercolor artists to walk you through the things you need to learn about painting with watercolors. I will admit, now I’m hooked!

impossible to cancel, due to negligence from help staff.. I’ve been trying to cancel my skill share account for pretty much almost a year now. I was locked out of my account and was unable to get back in so i was not able to cancel from within the account. I reached out to someone and they informed me that despite me emailing them 3 times to try to cancel my account they would not reimburse me for the payments i had to pay due to their poor communication. However they told me that it would be canceled. That was one year ago and they ARE STILL CHARGING ME. I get payed minimum wage and as someone who can’t afford random charges this has wreaked havoc on my finances. Ill be canceling my card because of skill share and having no way to cancel this account. Horrible service and just an all around poor experience.

App is a little buggy.. I’m a Skillshare subscriber and have used it on desktop, tablet, and mobile. The content is A+ and I would recommended a subscription to anyone interested in having a wide variety of fun and interesting classes at their fingertips. I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 because the app itself is a bit buggy and non-intuitive - buttons don’t always work, some button layouts are confusing. Particularly the “about” section in classes. Also the class project feature doesn’t work. It would be great if they could fix this and make it as full-featured as the desktop version.

Love being able to learn on the go. I signed up for Skillshare via the website and then downloaded the app so I could learn what I’d like any time, anywhere. Although not as robust and fully featured as the desktop site, I’m pretty happy with the app itself. I do agree that if I could sort classes I’ve saved by topic, it would really be helpful. When the new IPadOS is available publicly, Safari will be a full fledged desktop class browser so it will be really nice to access those features you can only access right now via the desktop site, i.e. class downloads, etc. In the meantime, I love the variety of classes available on Skillshare and feel the instructors do a great job with their content. Nicely done!

I have been here for 2 years .. I have grown my business and started it using this app. I got a referral from a podcast I listen to the side hustle show & watched some lessons and was off and running. I haven’t made tons of money yet but this is my second year amd I have beat my yearly salary this year with the online skills I learned . They could charge a lot more. Some of the lessons are really in depth and tell you everything they ARE NOT ..( I’ll tell you more if you pay) lessons. They are full on classes AND I APRECIATE THEM. Some of my family are here now and friends. Love it . They over deliver.

Love Skillshare, but the app not so much.... Disclaimer: this review is for the app only, not the platform. Sadly the last update, which claims to have fixed issues with the video controls, actually broke this functionality for my device as now video controls keep overlaying every 30 seconds or so. Is not impossible to continue watching classes like this but it is pretty annoying, especially for lessons involving color mixing as the overlay dims the screen. In future releases, I’d also love to see the same functionality for managing and adding classes to my lists that the web version provides. Profile section needs improvement too as, again, the app doesn’t provide same experience as the website.

I love Skillshare!!. I can’t give the app 5 stars but the site is 5 stars. The variety of classes, the encouragement from both the teachers and the workshop coordinators, and the ability to share my projects all combine very well to keep me engaged and inspired to stay active. However, the app fails to allow me to post my projects and to access workshops easily. The only nice thing about the app is the ability to download classes to access when WiFi isn’t available. It was nice to continue classes while out at the desert camping. There is a cost for being able to continue taking all. They offered a reduced price from the $100/year cost. I don’t recall exactly, maybe $60-70. I feel like I will have definitely gotten my money’s worth based on the amount of classes I’ve taken. The 2-month trial they offer is perfect for determining if you will enjoy the site. So it’s painless to give it a try. I just suggest that if you are having any frustrations with navigating, go to the site instead of working on the app. Save the app for just watching the classes you’ve already started.

You can never learn to much in life.. Learning is great for the brain and keeps you healthy too. This SKILLSHARE app is fantastic. It’s a little extra creative learning when ever you want it. Right now during our C-19 crisis this is the perfect time to schedule one in a day...or even two or three. LoL. That’s what I do and I have gained some really great knowledge. Sharped up my drawing skills in some of my week areas...which helped me out a lot and I was very impressed and thankful for. Learned great self drawn character building with different apps...one basic character drawing class based on basic shapes-CIRCLE*SQUARE*TRIANGLE and thee emotions each shape holds. Made building characters 100% easier knowing if your character was going to be bad, powerful, happy, or even confused ...the shapes invented the character. Even looking at cartoons or comic book characters the shapes speak for the bad guys right away.. I also learned VISUAL JOURNALING...which is a whole new world for me, new watercolour techniques, taking better photos with my phone, Chinese etegami painting, street drawing (building), interior design on vintage finds, Linocut Workshop, etc...etc... My list goes on and on. I do recommend this to everyone. They have something for all. I am having a lot of fun with it and how seriously involved I got. I look forward to my SKILLSHARE class daily. I. JUST LOVE IT AND SO WILL YOU. ENJOY AND HAVE FUN...BE SAFE...PEACE

Meh content. I made the huge error of bypassing the free trial when they offered me an additional discount. There are a couple decent classes for me but that’s about it. One of the teachers I was really excited about had barely any content and the videos weren’t even full length. Another one didn’t show the reference photo (painting course). The teacher wanted us to find our own photo but then she proceeded to say things like “do you see the shadow behind her shoulder?” And of course I could not. That was so frustrating. I didn’t know the classes were mostly about digital media either. After about ten days in I was hoping to get a refund. Nope! I keep trying to log back in and get some value out of my fee but I’m just completely wasting my time. I hate wasting my hard earned money.

A Fun, Inspiring Journey for Lifelong Learners!. i have learned so much from Skillshare classes, especially the ones taught by Rosalie Haislett and Mike Lowery. Perfect for people who don’t always have the time (or money) to commit to a lengthy class but wish to learn the basics or just be inspired to try something new. Instead of scrolling mindlessly thru social media, i have trained myself to watch Skillshare classes when i have “downtime” and need something fun and creative to relax and to stimulate my brain. The affordability really helps too, as i can try out new hobbies/classes without breaking the bank.

10 Stars if I Could. This is the best online study experience I have EVER had. I finally found my niche again. The classes are engaging and challenging. You learn SO much. There are so many knowledgable teachers to choose from and they are SO supportive. I love that we have the class project site where we can download class materials, ask questions and post projects. Many of my teachers also offer the chance for questions, discussions and projects, both for class and extra enrichment on Instagram, Facebook and personal websites. Where the student is hungry and willing, the teachers will come. This has been so far and continues to be fan-freaking-tastick as learning opportunities and experiences go. The admin at Skillshare are also courteous and very willing to help you if you have any problems or questions.

Great way to learn new skills and explore creativity. I’ve been using this service to learn how to use Procreate on iPad and the classes are absolutely amazing. Not only did I get introduced to artists like Vashti Harrison but I reconnected with my creative side again. My only request is that you allow for Picture in Picture video playback on iPad. Sometimes I’m watching a video and I would like to exit the app to try out a technique in Procreate without stopping the video but currently this isn’t possible, at least not that I know of. Please keep updating the app and adding new features as this is how I primarily use the service and I rarely go to the website.

Offline viewing is nonexistent. I love the service on Skillshare, and I always look forward to taking classes. The problem I have is that I could not get the offline viewing to work. I tried it on my phone, my iPad, and my husband’s phone and it didn’t work on any device. It was frustrating because I was taking a long trip and I wanted to use my long flight productively, so I downloaded three courses, and when I was on my flight, I tried to watch them, none of them would load. I tried to access them offline once we landed, and I was still unable to access them. I tried everything; Google had no answers, I tried to see if updating would help but it didn’t, and the Skillshare website wasn’t helpful either. I would rate the app higher if this feature they advertise worked. I pay for this service, and it’s frustrating that they advertise this feature that doesn’t work.

Yall just want money. Ok so I downloaded skillshare to increase my drawing skills but when I go to watch a video, I have to buy the subscription for the other parts of the video. And I look at every single one of the options and what do they say? BUY BUY BUY! BUY THE SUBSCRIPTION! And then when I go to try to do the free trial… it just kicks me out. But when I click on pay a month, it was just begging for my money. This is ridiculous. I go to learn a talent or increase my skills or learn a new skill but of course, because of the stupid greedy world we live in SkillShare is basically saying to my face “Oh! You want to learn how to do something? For free?? You make me laugh! Pay up!” I’m getting sick of economics.

Love the website but the app needs works. I love using Skillshare but the app is a little messy in my opinion. There are no descriptions in the app telling you about the class you’re going to take. The website has them and I’m able to get a sense of what is being taught. Also just a small suggestion for both the app and website if there could be a better way to sort and organize the courses one has saved or put into lists instead of just scrolling through your saved tab to find a class or in the lists you can do more than “send to the top”. We can be able to organize and categorize them a lot better please. Maybe by “a-z”, or group them by skill such as organize them by photography, illustration and so forth or let the user freely move, slide and organize them the way they want

Shady company please be careful with free month trial. This company has some very shady tactics going on. I tried their suppose free month trial and they clearly state on your website that you can cancel anytime (within the free month) trial. I did so to avoid being charged and luckily I checked my bank account and saw that they had charged me 189 dollars! The shadiest part about this situation is that the charge they made on my bank account doesn’t even align with the suppose charge from the apple receipt which is 169. They trick you into getting a yearly plan and charge you 189 dollars out of nowhere even though you clearly chose the 1 month free trial. I reported to apple for a refund as we speak and am currently waiting for a response. If I don’t get my money back, this company will be hearing from my bank. The scariest part is that many YouTubers within the art community are promoting this app. So please, do yourself the favor and stay away. To further prove my point, you can even see the reviews that have been made on Skill Share just by googling it. They will tell you the same thing.

Good not great. When you increase the playback speed for a video through the app and desktop browser, the video either glitches where the audio and video become misaligned (and we all know how annoying and sometimes confusing that may be), or the audio stops playing completely while the video continues to play. Also, there should be more options through the app to explore new categories and topics besides the search option and the ‘best in’ section. I like you can look at similar video related to course you are taking in the ‘about’ tab but they should recommend more than just three videos. Overall, I think they should adopt a system like Audible where it’s recommendations for books related to the one you clicked on are pretty spot on.

Predatory Billing Practices. They used to be a good company, now they switched their customer service practices and the people you get emails from don’t even respond to your issues. The billing and refund practices are atrocious which is probably they don’t do a lot of stuff through apple as apple would help you get a refund. For example they will give you a 1 month free trial while you have a month left of your actually prepaid membership. So if you try to cancel you lose your membership. If you don’t cancel they automatically charge you, but you can’t get a refund on a one month free trial… Now what do they charge? They charge you for the whole year. They will respond to you then bury your ticket. So the only responses you get are days apart and once again they don’t respond to your issues. So you are essentially getting the run around. The teachers are great but it is not worth the buy especially not the hassle when you want to end it. Also they are not upfront with the “deals” they give you, all to keep you in the cycle to try and take your money.

Just a little lacking. I like the idea of Skillshare-the class content is great and constantly evolving, the amount of videos and topics is almost overwhelming lol..the app could use some work. I have tons of saved classes and no way to sort through them. Also, I would REALLY like a functional Roku TV app. I hate streaming from my phone and watching it on there-I have incredibly bad vision and watching things on my phone screen (which is an iPhone plus, so not the smallest screen) puts a lot of strain on my eyes. I was able to find a free screen mirroring service to stream to my Roku but it wasn’t the easiest to use and was loaded with ads. My free trial will be up in the beginning of April and I would really like to sign up for an annual subscription but I just can’t justify the cost for something I can’t stream directly to my tv, limiting my ability to really use the service. As of now I have probably 50 classes saved to my list and have only been able to watch maybe 5 of them since I signed up in January, because as I said, the strain on my eyes is too much. Please add a Roku TV app or the ability to mirror directly from the Skillshare app to any tv!

Great learning platform. I have been learning so many new skills, using skill share. Thank you

where are all the features?. love Skillshare, but I use the web version because there’s a lot missing in the app. I can’t browse or see workshops, or save classes to a particular list. it’s very lacking. would love to see the app version reach its full potential!

Excellent platform for learning. I signed up on 1st January 2019. My goal this year is to be more creative. I shopped around and it seemed Skillshare had the most of what I wanted to learn. Skillshare did not disappoint. The teachers are excellent, as is the content. I’ve already completed two classes and am on my third. My creativity and skill level is already beyond what I’d hoped. A worthy investment for me.

Scammers. A very frustrating experience! A supposed subscription (which I don’t have) renewed automatically two months ago and since then I have been unable to access any classes despite being signed in. There have been over 20 emails with me requesting a refund and Skillshare giving me suggestions for how to fix the problem - none of which have worked. They have just admitted to there being a glitch with their log in process but still won’t refund. Let’s hope PayPal can get my money back!

Issues with loading classes. I love the classes, but I have problems with loading classes in the app. I will be watching a class, and then exit. But when I go back to watch that class again in the app, it will not load at all. It will even do the same on the iPad app. If a class I was watching on my iPhone stuffs up in this way, it will not load that class on the iPad either, even if I’ve never watched that class on the iPad. As soon as one class stuffs up, then it effects both iPad and iPhone.

Love the platform, hate the app. I love the Skillshare platform, but I hate the app. The search function is extremely poor, the About page for a class rarely ever loads and it seems I now don’t have the ability to save a class - hitting the bookmark icon does nothing. Its unstable watching classes on the move - if you have low mobile reception or lose reception momentarily, the app will just freeze. Videos don’t buffer as they download. And I can’t leave feedback on classes on the mobile version which is a particular bugbear. Please keep working on this Skillshare.

Wonderful way to learn. Pick a topic..... So glad I joined up! There’s so much to be inspired by - Great opportunities to learn from many skilled professionals who generously pass on what they know. I’d rather be participating in a Skillshare class than watching tv !

Like the app but. I’ve been with Skillshare for a couple of years now. I would like to point out the classes could be better if they didn’t go so fast. I spend more time in a class than I would like to because of having to rewind a lot of the time. If I press the 0.5 its way too slow and the voice drags so I can’t understand what the instructor is saying. Other than that I really like Skillshare. I just wish the instructors wouldn’t go so fast.

Need access to Resources in App. I love Skillshare, but……this App is USELESS! It does not allow access to Resources. Initially when I discovered this I deleted the App from my IPad and I have been using the Browser to work Skillshare. I have just downloaded this App again to see if this huge issue has been rectified, but no. So I will delete the App agin. I watch art workshops and most times they have resources to download, which you are unable to do in the App. So I will delete this App agin, after I finish this feedback.

Great way to learn something new!. I do recommend Skillshare. It’s a great way to learn some new skills. Some videos have been very inspiring to watch as well as motivational. I also love that you can go back and watch the classes you’ve already don3 and follow tutors so you can do more of their classes. Some classes have activities and exercises you can do and share your work with others. It’s a fun app! One criticism I do have is that there is a LOT of content about certain Apps or skills such as Procreate art app and how to use watercolours. (I use this app for mainly art workshops) and less content about say acrylic painting and crocheting or Ibis Paint X. Otherwise a great app. You can also cancel at any time so like streaming services and apps these days 6our not stuck if you need to cancel and if you want to you can activate it again.

So many great classes. There are so many classes that are fun or educational. From wanting business guidance to spending a quiet afternoon creating something. There is a class for everyone.

I love it. I love how many options there are on here - both short & long courses & the teachers are passionate, thoughtful & clearly love what they do.

Customer Service is Appalling. After signing up with Skillshare I could not access the service after making the first payment. I could not get any response to my requests via customer service contact forms. Shortly afterwards I began getting bombarded with American spam emails (I am in Australia). I tried contacting them again as I received an Apple message that my account had been breached. I received a response from Skillshare saying they had passed my request to their customer trust dept. Since then I have sent an email every day but they have not responded. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and received a refund, but my Skillshare account details are still available and Skillshare has still not responded! Steer clear!

Worst subscription renewal process. There is a serious bug in this app as I tried to renew my subscription for monthly premium membership after few months since I had stopped using it. My amount got deducted but when I tried to login to the app, it didn’t let me sign in till I agreed to free trial and yearly subscription which I shouldn’t need to as I have already used this email for free trial and have already paid for monthly subscription. They should definitely fix this bug

Bad app (Skillshare is amazing tho!). Skillshare is absolutely amazing, unfortunately I just updated the app and it crashes as soon as I open it. I hope it is fixed soon as Skillshare really is incredible and I loved being able to watch classes when I was out. Please fix it!! ( the newest update 1st May is still not working and crashes immediately upon opening)

I was just overcharged!. I accidentally resubscribed and I was charged another whole month. When this has happened with other apps, the subscription just carries on. And I didn’t even get a full month added for what I was charged for, it was only a couple of weeks. 🤬

Awesome!. So many classes on so many different things. Feeling like a kid again, getting introduced to so many new things! Except this time, it's with the pros!

You need this in your life!. As an illustrator and surface designer, this has been by far my greatest asset in my creative journey and as I work on my iPad Pro daily, the picture in picture feature allows me to watch a class while creating on my iPad at the same time. I cannot recommend it more for those wanting to learn a skill across a range of subjects and you can do it at your own pace and even try the platform for 2 months for free before signing up. What’s not to love.

Has everything!. Very impressed with the quality and content, I am a homeschool mum who has inspiration at my fingertips!

Become Better at Anything Creative. I was first introduced to Skillshare through Jenna Moreci, Cyborg Queen and Indie-Author of The Saviours Champion (she has two classes here just so you know!) I couldn’t be happier with the classes. It’s perfect to learn at your own pace (even standing on a train) and to improve your skills in anything artistic. I’ve got classes for writing, photography, painting, marketing... and there is so much more in the banquet I haven’t tried yet. Do it today and learn something extraordinary.

The best app while you staying at home because of Coronavirus. I really enjoyed watching different tutorials and learn a new skill, especially when I learning some software and need to get the concept as soon as possible. Besides, it is my best companion when I could only stay at home despite of watching Netflix. You can always get the best deal during Black Friday for annual membership. Killer app for combating Coronavirus at home, highly recommended.

So many great classes. I joined skillshare to do some specific classes for the project I’m working on but I keep seeing more classes I want to do for fun. They’ve all been professional, inspiring and are really helping me improve many skills.

So much variety. So far so good. Being a new subscriber I was amazed at the variety of classes. Not all of interest, but still so many. The classes I have watched so far have been very high quality, with excellent presenters.

Creativity Central. Skillshare has opened up a world of creative expression and self-care for me. I thoroughly enjoy that people from all over the world create classes, share their experience and knowledge, and you can develop your art, writing, business and so many other skills in one spot. The app is great and I highly recommend the classes for anyone wanting to explore their creativity. No experience necessary as there’s something for everyone at Skillshare, aka Creativity Central.

Develop your art practices. If you are looking to develop your art practices, learn new ones, or delve into other subjects Skillshare is a must. For one annual cost, I have had access to so many courses, which I can take any time of the day or night. Having the ability to go back and forward, miss or skip a section, is such an advantage. I will be renewing my membership.

Never stay home without it.. This app is a gem. I have learned so much about Art, graphics, business, even cooking. No end to the topics available and more keeps coming. I’m committing for life.

I love Skillshare. I’ve learned so much from Skillshare. It’s worth every penny many times over. There is so much to learn. And we have so much more confidence in ourselves when we learn more skills.

Best service for learning yet!. I use to use Udemy a lot but it was always a struggle to determine which classes I should invest my money in. Not with Skillshare, unlimited quality content by great tutors who are ready to engage with their audience. Note to developers, it would be great to have the ability to save my classes to a particular folder.

Fantastic content!. I just love that creativity is so accessible through skill share. Love being able to dabble in lots of different forms of creativity

Apple recommended. Of course it would deliver. I purchased the new iPad Pro so that I could use the Procreate drawing app to learn sketching as a complete beginner. How now do I learn Procreate? I was stumped. Wait! Easy. Apple recommended training with Skillshare. I checked it out and was bowled over. I’ve lost count of the amazing number of engaging courses available! Which are as varied as they are individual. Absolutely fantastic.

Julia Bausenhardt classes are great. I have been thoroughly enjoying the classes on skill share. They are so well presented. I especially enjoy Julia’s classes. I have used the images I have created to decorate all sorts of books I use and make and love them. Sharon

Great for upskilling and starting out. With a huge variety of credible instructors, I found this a great way to improve my skills as well as learning new ones at times that are convenient for me.

Skillshare is great, this app is not. Five stars for Skillshare, three stars for this app. App needs major improvement. The search function does not allow to narrow down to classes released this week, this month, etc. like the web version does. Even if we could see the most recently released would be better. I cannot save any classes either, the bookmark does not work. When watching a class, the tiny little area to scroll down to other videos and info. is too small and awkward to scroll through. It feels constricted. Skillshare is fantastic - but this app is letting the platform down. I am so disappointed. I’ll go back to using the web version, not this useless app. (I am using an iPad Pro 1st Generation, iOS 12.2). Hopefully the developer will improve the app soon.

LOVE luvluvluv LOVE 🥰. I was taught by my Grandma how to crotchet as a kid, she knew how to knit too and I always wanted to learn to knit but never got around to it before she passed away. I downloaded Skillshare to teach myself, knitting and crotchet makes me feel close to her 🥰.

Love the service; app itself can be a little clunky. I absolutely love Skillshare. They have a wide range of courses on a wide range of topics, and not just ones related to creativity either. Most of the classes are of pretty good quality, and are very informative. The app itself, however, is a little bit clunky at times. You can’t reorganise your saved classes into playlists (you can only do that in a browser) sometimes the search function glitches and it can be awkward navigating between classes. These are only minor inconveniences, however, and the service has overall been pretty excellent.

Keeps crashing (fixed now). The app keeps crashing when I try to start a discussion. What is the point if the app if you can’t ask any questions? —— Update: Finally they have fixed the crash in recent update. Thank you. I have updated my ratings now.

Terrible customer service.. I have a loved the art classes I’ve done so far, and have already seen improvements in my drawing and watercolour skills. BUT there has been an issue with my automatic payment and skillshare has tried 4 times to withdraw money - each time I have replied to explain that the link the give me does not allow me to update payment details and the last time I created a new account with correct payment details and requested them to merge my accounts. They have NOT replied to a single one of my emails other than to say my ticket ‘hasn’t been forgotten’. Meanwhile they keep trying to take money when it clearly isn’t working and threatening account closure despite me actively trying to communicate with them to solve the issue. It is extremely frustrating. The app itself is fine.

Really easy to access and learn. As we can access the lessons through the app at anytime anywhere, it was really helpful me to learn and grow my skills.

Skyrocket your Skills!. I’ve said it many times to people I know online and in person that I’ve learnt more from skillshare than I have in my university of 3 years! On Skillshare, you can develop both hard (practical) and soft (personal) skills that you can use in your career and personal development. HIGHLY recommend Skillshare!

This app is the reason why I will cancel my membership. I can’t believe with such a great website comes with such a poorly made app. It constantly freezes and videos won’t play properly unless mobile reception is perfect. The interface is awkward and everything loads so slowly. Because I mostly wanted to learn when commuting, this app makes it very difficult for me to stay. It is a real shame because it’s such a good platform and the app is such an essential part of user experience. I will cancel my membership after the free trial unless there are major improvements made to this app.

Excellent Online Learning Forum. Skillshare has provided me with the flexibility to learn when it suits my schedule, in turn boosting my desire to both diversify and further my skill set. I happily will recommend Skillshare to everyone and anyone!

I want my refund!. I started with a free trial for a moth and really did enjoy the classes and I thought it was very useful to the kind of work I do. After a month, was quite happy to go for a full year premium subscription. After I’ve been charged, I lost my access to the videos and it constantly asking me to go premium which I should already have. So I contacted support exchanging email, then suddenly no reply and issues still unresolved. I understand that there is 30 days for me to claim my refund after the payment has been processed but I feel like days are going by and I am not getting any resolution for this. I wanted it to be resolved but I guess I need to uninstall this. I had sent emails asking for how 8 can get refunded but still no reply. I guess I will need to contact my bank if no one else can help me or tell me my next step.

The best place to learn. I find this the best way to learn. I have been with Skillshare for many years with only one short break due to lack of finance, but ended up rejoining within 2 months. I recommend this app to a lot of people.

Great can watch my Skillshare classes anytime.. Great can watch my Skillshare classes anytime. Love the app I have all my classes ready to watch when I can. Seamless between my desktop and iPhone.

Lesley. This is a brilliant way to learn new things and ‘dabble’ at whatever your heart desires. Teachers provide easy step by step lessons, creative, fun and extremely cost effective !!

A great resource!. Our whole family uses SkillShare to learn all kinds of things, from hobbies to business skills. And if the course you’ve chosen isn’t quite what you were looking for? No problem, just try another one! It’s all included in your subscription, and that really takes the pressure off. The courses are of excellent quality and vary in length, so you can choose one that’s shorter as an overview, or go in-depth with a longer one. It’s brilliant. We recommend SkillShare to everyone wanting to brush up or level up their skills, from personal to professional.

Skillshare. Absolutely love it!! I have learnt so so much and I enjoy the variety of courses I can do. Highly recommend. Wonderful Teachers.

Skill Share is really Helpful. I’m setting up a website & Skillshare has been extremely helpful for me to learn and adapt to today’s style of marketing. Gives a real overview of many areas.

Sort function for search results greatly missing. On the desktop web browser mode, we are able to sort our search results by how many students are in that classes, getting a good idea whether it’s a good quality class to join or not. But we’re not able to do this via the app version. Please include this function!

The iPad app has some UX annoyances. Just signed up to Skillshare this week & am already loving the platform as a learning tool, there seem to be oodles of classes & the quality of content & presentation in the videos is excellent. The iPad app could definitely do with some love, however. It’s lacking some features of the website, such as no way to Browse all courses, only the popular ones. Worse though, you can get stuck down a navigation hole if you keep clicking stuff, with no way to get back to the Home Screen except clicking back again through every viewed page!! So incredibly frustrating. Why isn’t there a Home button on every screen?! I would love these things to be improved in the iPad app.

Love it!!. Learning a multitude of skills and techniques.

Support does not exist. The app itself is fine, until your account gets deactivated without notice right after you’ve paid for your yearly membership. Have tried to contact customer support over the last month and have had no responses. Save your money and learn from YouTube for free.

Videos will not play. I just got this app and the videos are stuck on buffering. Like nothing will play. I tried opening and closing the app and everything. Just canceled my free trial over that. Not worth it.

I Love This App. When you consider the cost of a course is greater than the cost of this app for a year you appreciate the true value of it, especially when it’s every course you you can think of.

Love. I was able to take 2 lengthy classes during lockdown... awesome

Kudos. one of the best things that has ever happened to me! way to go skillshare

Works like a charm. This app always works and is easy to use. Couldn’t be happier.

Crashes. App crashes randomly on iPhone. There is no AppleTV app only air streaming.

Annoying app. This seems to be an annoying app for anyone with limited data… the app will delete all downloaded videos at random. Cool app to use to waste your monthly data!

Lessons don’t download with app is running in background?. Simple enough app. Nothing special. What bothers me is that it seems like when I set lessons to download to my device for offline viewing, they stop downloading if I switch to another app, despite the app still running in the background. That’s terrible functionality. Some lessons are multiples gigs worth of video and take hours to download on slower internet like mine. Not being able to leave the app while my lessons download is inexcusable. I have other things to do besides watching a download bar fill.

Love SkillShare!. I’m a little rusty and needed to brush up on my art skills. SkillShare is the perfect app for refreshing and honing your art skills. Thank you SkillShare highly recommend!

Dommage video ne charge plus. Belle application super complète mais après seulement 1h d’utilisation plus aucun vidéo ne se load. Dommage

Best app ever. Love

DO NOT Subscribe. They will keep taking your money every month even if you cancel the subscription. And there is no customer service what so ever. No matter how much you try to email them they will not respond back. Freaking @**h***s And I am not the only one, there are hundreds of complaints online regarding the same issue. If you love your money, do not subscribe. And I request those who are active to please boycott the app so that they can learn their lesson.

Amazing. I mean how could you say anything negative about the overall content etc. 1 star removed just cuz it’s really expensive to subscribe yearly after free trial. Really Wish I could do it, but waaay outta my price range, unfortunately. Great yoga & motivational & business classes. I mean, there’s classes all around for days; multiple classes that everyone would get something out of.

Basically scam. They charged me yearly fee of approximately €100. When I asked them to refund literally minutes after charge happened, they haven’t responded at all. !!! In their condition they say that they will refund you fully if you will ask for it in less than seven days after charge!!! When I was talking to support for the second time, they told me that they will create additional ticket with high priority to proceed. It’s a month already. They don’t speak to me, they haven’t refunded and they actively fight against chargeback with Mastercard. !!!!! avoid this scam at all costs !!!!!

Terrible. Subscribed for a trial, never used it, deleted the app, was charged 215$ for a renewal membership. Reached out to customer service, took a month for them to respond that they’d wave half the fee, when I accepted the offer, someone responded that they don’t give refunds on annual memberships. Seems like AI auto responded with the original offer. Apparently they don’t do refunds on annual memberships but annual membership is the cost of use. Would not recommend at all.

Concern. I tried out the app and I didn’t like it so I took it off and somehow after there was money taken from my account to pay for it

Surpassed my expectations. I got a free trial and thought that I was going cancel before the month is up. Nope. I’m going to gladly pay for the year. Very captivating. I binge on the classes. I went from broke to illustrator in less than 30 days thanks to Skillshare. No ads no distraction. Once you open the app success is there lurking and waiting to gobble you up

I got the Free trial… BUT no videos are loading. What’s the point of a free trial Premium (unlock access to all their courses) if ALL the videos are NOT loading anyway? Fishy.

Kept charging for months after I cancelled. They responded initially and said they would look into it. They then stopped responding despite me sending additional emails.

Too bad the Apple TV app is just a QR Code. Would be nice to access the library without my phone or ipad around a stream directly on my TV. Downloading the Apple TV app just to tell me I have to Airplay from my phone is a bit a of buzzkill

Don’t follow their own terms. No refunds.. I started the free trial last year and didn’t cancel on time for the subscription for the year so I reached out and asked for it to be refunded. They offered me the year for half the price PLUS the next year for half off. This year I was charged full price. They refuse to refund me fully even though it states in their terms that they give out ONE refund per person only. That’s when I checked my emails from the previous year and saw the offer of half off for this year too. They ignored it and told me I wasn’t eligible for the refund. I was previously recommending this to people but never again. How are you going to completely disregard your own terms AND the offer I was given the previous year? Which they offered me again this year btw. Nope. No thanks.

Wouldn’t recommend. I wasn’t happy with the content. It was nothing you can’t find for free in youtube. I hardly used my account and missed cancelling it by a short time, i emailed them straight away to kindly ask for a refund. (Other companies i’ve trialed before always issue refunds if asked). Skillshare flatout refused to refund my membership. Feeling bummed I accidentally spent money on something that wasn’t worth it.

Many things to learn. The variety of instructors, styles and topics available are impressive. I think most people would find topics and style they could enjoy leaning about.

Love it!. I love thé flexibility in the app, absolutely recommend

Customer service. Biggest disappointment when it comes to contact a customer care representative. Through emails they will take eternity to solve the problem and such a long waiting time for every solution. Recently I tried to contact them via mail and they still haven’t resolved it and it took 2 weeks for them and yet to be solved.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!! NO FREE TRIAL. The way this company works I don’t even want to watch the videos! I’m so upset! I went to try this app for one Month free trial and they charged my account over $130! And won’t refund my money! When I clicked try for one free month it said it wouldn’t charge me until 30 Days were up and I would only get a trial version of the app! Well it didn’t give me a trial version it went right out of my account and I cancelled it immediately and tried getting a refund and they refuse to refund my money! I had to save up for this app this month and didn’t have the funds ready for them to take so they took my food money for this month! I live on a very strict disability income and can’t just have itune taking money from my account like this! When it advertises free month people expect a free month! I didn’t read it wrong! So don’t be fooled like they fooled me and know that they will steal your money as soon as you try and activate this account! No free month!

Skillshare. Skillshare is the best thing you can do with you time

I like Skillshare. It’s so nice to use platform for sole purpose of learning skills weather it be drawing or writing and I do it personally for fun so if u haven’t tried Skillshare and your reading this review i Jason David Arcand from Northern Alberta give it my 100% seal of endorsement go check it out

Where is autoplay?. I don't know why I need to play next video manually!

Promised a free trial-charged me $160 instead. They lie about the free trial, Skip right over it and charge you for an entire year. There wasn’t even any other option on the Home Screen. 1 option: free month trial, then annual subscription…… Absolute rip off and would never trust them again. Beware

Skill share. Talented artists sharing tips and tricks . Love it! When ever i have free time i sit down and engage in learning a new skill. Kudos

This app is amazing. Skill share is awesome I really like how the lessons split up into different segments and there easy to fallow. Over all its just so much easier to use

Bad communication - charged my bank account without getting notification before. BEWARE!!. I signed up for the free 2 months trial and then really enjoy the lesson. What I don’t like they charged my account directly without letting me know via email, and it’s even annual membership not monthly. Very unprofessional in communication, I definitely want my refund!!

Classes are awesome. I really love all the content on the app. I just wish the app had all the same functionality as the website. Don’t like having to pull out my laptop to do some things but otherwise I can’t complain. Totally recommended.

Always ready to learn something new. SkillShare has opened many new doors in my personal and work life. It is an incredible platform to find all kinds of instructional videos on what ever topic you may choose to explore. What at first started as a way to gain skill in my own career development has now expanded to personal skills, such as organization, planning, and cooking. I could not be more happy with Skill share as I am in my second year of loving it!

Great. There is always something to get my creative juices flowing and I can try things new stuff I’d never normally try with great teachers to help me learn.

Good app. It s a good app, simple to use. You can watch and download videos and search for topics as well. However, i find it limited. I would like to enrol in classes and be able to write comments and reviews. But it s either not possible yet or not very intuitive to find how. I also cannot see the classes notes and link on the app, which is also annoying. So i am not able to fully support the teachers i like. Having said that, i mostly use the app, i rarely go on the website

Stumbled upon this gem!. I’ve been struggling with time management, and other adhd “co-morbidities” and stumbled upon this website and now app …. Starting with productivity but have so many bookmarks!!! It’s so great to learn in little lessons, so much easier to use than up YouTube for this purpose! Love love love this app!

Great App/Site. So I started my freelance journey not knowing where to go and what to do, thanks to my boss who recommended skillshare to me, am happy to say that I go my UI/UX skill and SketchUp Skills from skillshare and I’ve been doing great ever since. I highly recommend Skillshare to any creative professional out there.

Scam. I was automatically charged 2 hours ago (without being notified) and they won’t give a refund even for 11 months of the year. I will not use this app and now i’m down $150. Some will argue it’s my fault for not checking up on it but it’s still very frustrating. Also most of the classes are not from professionals and are not very informative.

Do not install or subscribe. Cancelling your account is made very difficult in hope that customers will get confused and forget to cancel.

Awesome app!. Love this app! It's introduced me to so many amazing artists, and I've learned so much from it. Sometimes casting to TV's gets a bit glitchy when it proceeds to the next video, which is why I gave four stars!

Superb! Everything you need to learn!. Love this app because anything you want to learn is here on this app by wonderful instructors! Definitely worth the money!!!

charged after trial without notice. So I was charged for more than 10 months with out any notice after my free trial ended. I realised they were charging me when I checked my bank account history. I saw 20 CAD going away every month and when I asked for a refund, the representative was rude af and she didn’t respond to me the second time

Skillshare is great but the app could be better. I was find myself using the website more often than the app. 1. The app doesn’t show more than 12 of an instructor’s available courses. So if you only look at the app you might not know that your favourite instructors have more awesome classes. 2. There is no “about” tab on the app. So you just have to start watching to see if a class is right for you. And it’s not always a good time for video playback. I prefer to see the writeup. 3. There is no “resources” tab on the app. This is bonkers. In the courses I take I need to see the resources. 4. Downloading videos to watch offline: it would be great if I could choose which videos I want to download. The app will only download all videos, starting from the introduction, and at least with my wifi, the downloads are veeeerrryy slow. I wanted to watch some lessons on transit, but the download hadn’t gotten past the intro by the time I had to leave, so … useless. 5. I’m also finding the transcript (only on the website) useful; I’m doing a course with technical info on colour theory and it’s helpful for me to go back in some lessons for vocab refreshers. All that said, the video playback on the website has been annoying (why do the subtitles keep turning back on?). So now I use the website to look for new courses, and then I download for viewing through the app. This works well enough, although you have to sit there with the app open and not use your iPhone or iPad for anything else until the download is complete, or it will just pinwheel and stop downloading. But I really have gotten to love some of the courses and instructors on Skillshare, so this is what I do.

Free Trial. I got charged for a year subscription when I thought I was selecting to start a free trial. I’ve been trying to get issued a refund with no response from apple. Very disappointed overall.

No access to course resources. I love using Skillshare, but I do wish it was possible to access and download course materials on the apps, even if only the iPad app, rather than having to log on to the browser.

Content is wonderful...app is a bit limited. I just want to preface this by saying I love the content and the classes from Skillshare. It’s great. I’m learning so much. However, when I use Skillshare‘s app, it is lacking. For example, I cannot see all of an instructor’s classes, only a handful. This is resolved by going to the website. I cannot leave reviews for classes I have completed. This is resolved by going to the website. I also wish I could create lists of courses that include more than two classes or the main list which has everything I saved.

A lot of great content for the price!. I have used this a lot lately learning digital photography. Was especially helpful to be able to download hours and hours of classes to my iPad before an 8 hour flight where streaming wouldn’t be possible. For the cost, I have gotten all of my moneys worth, and a lot more! Some classes are better than others, but hey, if you don’t like one? Go to another!

Something for just about everyone.. I have subscribed to Skill Share for a few years and have enjoyed seeing how the site has grown. In the beginning there were quite a few classes offered in a variety of subjects. Now there are so many subjects, from beginner to advanced levels, to choose from that just about anyone can find something they are interested in learning. The quality and quantity of content makes Skill Share a great bargain. I highly recommend it.

Avoid the hassle and never sign up.. I wanted to try out Skillshare and basically did it for a month. There aren’t a lot of available classes. Then, the company doesn’t email you about your renewal and charge you $165. I tried to contact them via live chat. They basically told me it doesn’t matter if you didn’t receive an email we will still charge you and will not refund you, even though their policy allow one refund per customer. This company is not trustworthy and will do any gimmick to get your money. Checkout the Reddit feed for this company before you signup for a free trial. There are thousands of people out there being scammed from them. Protect yourself and do your research.

Needs a few fixes. I really love the classes and I’ve learned so much already. I would like to see a few fixes and updates though: 1. The ability to pause and play video when watching from a desktop computer. It’s sooo much easier and efficient when I don’t have to click to pause or play. 2. Add workshops to folders from the app. I don’t use the app often because if I decide to browse I can’t add workshops I want to watch to a playlist. If it wasn’t for the ability to download videos to watch without WiFi, I’d delete the app altogether. 3. It isn’t possible to share classes from the app (iPad). When I hit the share button the menu pops up behind the options page. Other than that, I really love Skillshare and I’m happy I went for the 1yr subscription. I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements as they continue to grow.

Love Skillshare. Love Skillshare. I’m sure the team is constantly working on app updates. One update to the iOS app I’d like to see is a “save this course” flag at the course search results level. I typically flag courses with teachers I like or just flag and check it out later. So instead of having to click on a course search result, click the flag, then go back to the results, it’s a bit easier to just flag directly from the search results. Also, sending custom “refer a friend” links via the app would be awesome too. Thanks!

Best investment in MYSELF ♥️💰. Such a wonderful app/hub for us souls looking to expand in different directions. All sorts of tools and conscious creators giving you their BEST sideline pep talks & skills they have. A must have honestly!!. From a college drop out who wasn’t engaged in the standard learning to OBSESSING over skills I’d love more of a focused view on. Thank you to all the creators sharing on here. I’ll always splurge on my tuition for this, it’s just so affordable how could you not.♥️

Amazing app with quality content. I have been using the Skillshare app for almost a year now. I have learned how to successfully create recurring patterns on digital media and have been able to sell my patterns in print and cut marketplaces! I have learned a lot of art techniques. The instructors are quality instructors with easy to follow video sessions. What I love is the variety and the fact you can re-watch the instruction as many times as you want. I highly recommend this app to learn to do most things!

Peonies. I love her class have to stop it often in order to catch up. she goes a little bit too fast, but she is a wonderful teacher and adorable I don’t know how to work this very well. I’m looking for the place to thumbs up and can’t find it. but anyway thank you for offering this I like it very much. ......When she suggest a color, not everyone Has all the colors. When she says indigo blue, she should give an alternative like dark blue or green blue or something. Not everyone has indigo blue. Thanks for the great class. LindaFenner

Life Changing. Skillshare has been life-changing for me. Illness took me out of the workforce for several years, and when I was finally able to return technology had left me far behind. Using Skillshare I’ve been able to update my skills and feel more confident about offering my services freelance and knowing that I am giving my clients the very best. Skillshare is truly a blessing for those who need or want to learn things that interest them, without needing to take college courses, or spend college tuition type money.

One of the best Alternative Education Platforms ever. Man What an experience for almost 5 months I like the classes that it offers sure they have problems like the rest of alternative education platforms have. The only problem I have with Skillshare so far it is adding your classes to my own list and not playing it that is only problem. Other than it is way better Than what I have been learning in College in the last 3 years.

Icing on the cake. I have been doing surface pattern design for 2.5 years as a self taught artist. Finding the Bonnie Christine videos, has pushed me a little further and taught me a few new things that I didn’t know before. I am all about self teaching myself everything. Skillshare is a way that you can learn on the go, at home, waiting for carpool (stay at home mom) and run a successful thriving business! I recommend their videos for anyone with a drive for personal and business success without having to have a college degree in any of it! Great product and business they have!

My favorite life balance app. I work hard as a nurse and on my off time, I love being able to take a class and learn something new. I had taken a field journaling class at a local art center and although I loved it, I wanted more! I started taking field journaling classes through Skillshare and learned so much, at half the price for a year as I paid for a two day class!! I’ve also taken crochet classes, water color, Procreate, public speaking, and the list goes on!

Severely lacking. Signing up for the one year is one of my biggest purchase regrets. The content is severely lacking. Every time I try to type in some craft or skill I want to learn there’s no results and I end up YouTubing it. Even when there is a relevant video it is always aimed towards beginners, never any advanced technique videos in any sort of field I am interested in. I also never see any new videos being relased it’s always the same 10 recommended to me, that are so far off. Also I can’t download the resources teachers provide from the app for some reason which is dumb. I see ads for domestika with really cool classes and get sad that I wasted my money here. Skillshare is not cheap and it’s not worth it.

Totally addicted. I could do this 24/7. Can’t believe how much I’ve learned. After a lifetime of being art phobic, I’m learning to draw. Procreate, Affinity, mandalas, tiles, everything I want is on here and some absolutely amazing teachers. I can’t afford it, but no way is that going to stop me from re-upping when the time comes. Not to mention what a lifesaver it is during COVID isolation. I’m hooked! Only small issue is that you can’t download class materials from the app. It’s a pain to have to go to a browser, takes some extra time.

Worth every penny. And I’m a cheap skate when it comes to apps. I like free, but the amount of knowledge you can easily access on this app is worth the money and more. I’ve been doing calligraphy and hand lettering for going on a little over 4 years and when I started I scoured the internet for so many hours just trying to find anything I could, granted I started before it became the next hot thing everyone wanted to learn. But I absolutely love skillshare and if you’re on the fence the great thing is you get a free trial and get a chance to decide if it’s worth the money to you! LOVE THIS APP

Investing in self. I think it’s very important to invest in myself whether it be mentally, physically, or spiritually. I found this app to have exactly what I needed. I normally end up deleting apps soon after downloading because I feel it never caters to what I want or need and most apps I find are stale. I love how well organized, clean looking, & super engaging people within the app are. I look forward to continue to use this app and learn new things.

Learning whatever I desire, WHEN I desire to!. I decided out of the blue that I wanted to learn how to draw and animate, because I was looking for a new creative outlet. I addictively sat for HOURS in front of my laptop with my sketch pad, watching characters take shape that were recognizable manga/anime style, only after a few lessons. In one day. I can’t wait to check out more classes and art forms! I’m also an entrepreneur, who needs guidance DESPERATELY, so that’s next! Maybe. I also want to be a filmmaker, so maybe THATS next. I’m excited. The end.

Love the variety of classes!. I have been a subscriber for Almost three years and just love the fact I can watch and learn from as many classes as my schedule allows. I have gained so much knowledge, insight and inspiration, it has helped me in my creative journey, business-wise and personally. I’m so glad and grateful for all the instructors who have put in so much time and effort and who shared so much of what they know. Thank you so much for this community!

Great for learning something new everyday!. I am currently in my gap year. As a student, I was very used to learning frequently and I was in search of a way to keep learning new skills. With Skillshare, I have picked up many new skills and hobbies like crocheting and adobe photoshop. If you find yourself curious to learn something new frequently, I would recommend a yearly subscription. I appreciate the number and diversity of contend creators as well. I never get bored!

I recommend Skillshare to people so much I should get commissions. I love this app and it’s variety of classes. Every time I learn about a new trend in design or software I know I can log into Skillshare and upskill myself. Plus, I can finally learn all the fun hobbies I’ve always wanted to try without having to organize time outside of home. And! the annual fee is actually reasonable. I don’t have to pay college prices for a better than college experience. LOVE IT.

What an invaluable resource!!!. As a homeschooling mom, a writer, a dancer, a music producer, Skillshare is such a God-send! I consider myself and life-long-learner. I’m self-led and find immeasurable joy in the learning of new skills. Skillshare has become one of the many tools in my “Unschooling toolbox” that allows me to bring the resources and mentoring right into my living room, day or night. Thank you Skillshare. You’ve been paramount in education of my whole family, as well as, an extensive support system for myself, as a homeschool educator.

App keeps crashing. I am enjoying my Skillshare subscription overall. The quality of the classes is pretty good and I am learning lots, however the app keeps crashing on my iPad, which is highly frustrating as this is the best way for me to view the classes while I learn. I have reinstalled the app and restarted my iPad but nothing is fixing this issue. Sadly, I had downloaded three classes for offline viewing on my Ipad but lost those when I reinstalled the app. Had to download all again—not easy when you have limited, unstable WiFi while traveling. Please fix this!

Being charged every month without access to premium. I am super frustrated. I have been paying for a premium membership since January. I unfortunately haven’t had the time to use the app since I started my membership. So when I logged in the other day I wasn't aware I don’t actually have access to premium even though I’ve been paying for. I have apple receipts, a premium membership indication under “subscriptions” in my Apple ID, bank statements etc. to prove I have been paying. I contacted skillshare support about this issue. They have been super slow in their responses and have given me no resolution to this issue. I have waited nearly a week to hear back from them and still nothing. I am super frustrated and don’t understand how this could happen. Be careful!

Life Saver. During Covid’s early months I took advantage of a free offer to try Skillshare. As an artist, I was frozen and could not create. Having Skillshare there as a friend to tune in to and watch other artists creating and learn from them was a lifeline! Since then I’ve taken dozens of classes. Its fun and I love the way the classes are broken up into short segments making them easy to fit into a day. The app is super easy to use and I’m a huge fan!

Fix the app!!. Ever since the update I can’t open Skillshare at all, just crashes before the home screen even shows up!! And no way to contact Skillshare via phone. The web version is great but I don’t have WiFi so I need to have my classes downloaded. Please fix soon, and get a help line. Update: upgraded to 3 stars because I was able to get the app working after deleting it and redownloading it. Now I have to download all my saved classes again. So if you had the same problem with the app crash, you can try downloading the app over again. However, going into your saved classes and clicking on the menu to download or remove the class also crashes the app.

THE SKILLSHARED APP IS AMAZING! I LOVE IT!!!!!!. I enjoy skillshare so much, I can’t get enough of it & all the classes. I think that this is soo amazing & I love all the classes on it & I especially love the animation classes!!! I have been blooming since I got the app in my drawing & writing I am only 11 years-old and I’m already doing animation thanks to skillshare!!!! I especially love Gabrielle Brickey’s classes on drawing on paper and on procreate, I love procreate and I have gotten so much better on it since I got the skillshare app and I think any young fellow artists would love this app too!!!!! 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

REVIEW. This app has helped me in many ways. This app is very useful and helps you learn many different skills such as new languages and new skills. There is many options to choose from whether it’s from learning photography to learning how to create new cooking recipes. There’s plenty of skills to learn and this app provides you with all the tools and basics to achieving those things. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for acquiring a better understanding of something specific.

I love this app. When my mother first got this for me I wasn’t sure but in the years since it has taught me so much I believe it is definitely worth its price and that even if you’re only interested in learning one subject you will learn several at the least I have taken classes in painting digital art design photography business videography and about a dozen more topics I have yet to come up with a flaw in this app so ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hidden Gem. The convenience of having Skillshare on a app has been a game changer. I am no longer chained to my computer desk and I'm able to move freely through out rooms while watching videos on my iPad. Learning can now be more comfortable then ever. The endless libraries of information Skillshare has to offer truly makes it a hidden gem. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for Skillshare setting up a good foundation to build apron. Highly recommend this to anyone who's taking the the self-taught route opposed to traditional methods of education like college.

Extraordinary learning resource!!!. Wide range of skill sets to choose from for learning online. Excellent teachers who offer well thought out and detailed instruction, as well as providing additional materials needed to accomplish their goal. I’ve found all instructors for classes I’ve taken to be quite personable and responsive. Well worth the price for a monthly subscription! Am so impressed with the benefit I’ve received that I’ve been referring Skillshare to family and friends! Highly recommend!!!

The worst customer support I’ve ever experienced. I got the 6 month trials a while ago, got charged $99 at the end of it and they gave me my money back when I requested a refund and they told me I won’t ever be charged again. Fast forward 3 weeks ago I mysteriously get charged $99 again even though I didn’t even sign up for it. So I send in a ticket again like the first time, a lady said that the senior support team would be in contact with me but never heard from customer support again. I sent another ticket and within an hour it says solved even though they didn’t even help me. I’m looking for someone to talk to but it looks like no one from customer support has the time to help their clients and just completely ignore them. I want to talk to someone from Skillshare and my money back.

Something for everyone. offers courses ranging from basic to complex, and most everything in between. Like all educational opportunities, the instructor and instruction levels vary greatly, but a little research will land the right courses for you. Many courses offered on Skillshare are available at much higher prices (and most are genuinely worth the price asked) on other online platforms. Skillshare’s annual cost plan simply can’t be beat for the value received.

just a suggestion. I have had this for a couple days and i havent been able to watch lessons because of the subscription, i thought maybe yall could change it a little and have some videos that you wouldn’t have to pay to watch, because some people that like this app like me cant pay for stuff like this, im not saying this is a bad app, its just a suggestion for the app. it’s perfectly fine if you dont do this its just a suggestion:)

Don’t download. They take your money!. A couple of days ago I signed up for the month “FREE TRIAL”. In the agreement section is specifically states that they will NOT charge you until the trial period is over if you don’t cancel the membership. Within minutes of signing up, I got an alert from my bank, I already had a charge for the first month. I contacted costumer service, they asked for screen shots of where it stated it was a free month trial. This sounded fishy but I sent them the screenshots, the representative replied saying that because it was through the app, that they could not refund my money even though I was on a free trial period. This company is in the business of taking your money and giving you excuses as to why they wont refund it. This is completely wrong and false advertising. Do NOT download this app!!!

Upsetting. It’s a great app and I’m very happy to get free month trials, but I found I wasn’t using it enough for the price. So I set a date on the calendar so I could cancel it 5-10 days before the free trial ended. I went to their website and cancelled as instructed. It said clearly that it was canceled and there would be no billing. Well now it says I just payed $99 dollars for a yearly subscription!!! Which is crazy. I didn’t go on the app ,watch the app, in fact I deleted it. That way just in case I clicked and they thought I was using it. But still it charged. And now the refund process is one big overcomplicated annoying mess. 😪

Super annoyed. I was given the offer of doing a one month trial and being charged for the annual membership once the trail was over. This offer was given to me AFTER I was already signed into the app with my Apple ID and attempted to watch a video. I figured I’d resubscribe with the free month, only to find out that the app had immediately charged me $189 and some change. Contacted Apple and they told I had redeemed this offer before and that’s why I was charged. Why did the app make the offer available again then? Again, THIS WAS AFTER I SIGNED IN TO THE APP WITH THE SAME ACCOUNT I HAD REDEEMED SAID OFFER IN THE PAST. Now I have to wait for my request be reviewed, hopefully approved and process before it posts to my account and I decide to dispute the charge.

Skill Share is a Professional Teaching Tool. I believe Skill Share can be utilized as a Professional Teaching Tool to enable multiple disciplines the ability to learn new skills and improve or build upon the current skill sets by watching others share how they grew their skill development. I am a teacher and hope to use Skill Share as a research tool to build analytical and technological techniques and processes that will allow students to engage and communicate in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.

Worth Every Penny. I have had this subscription for two years and the vast knowledge and talent shared on their platform is priceless. I am a seasoned artist and continue to grow and expand my skill set. Never before have you been able to learn from people all over the world with such ease from the comfort of your own home. I have paid up to $500 for a single in person class before and $200 for one online class so this fee is minimal to me for the value you receive. Buy it you WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!!!

I’m not allowed to do anything. I am not allowed to do anything except if I have premium access and I don’t want to buy the premium subscription but it doesn’t let me click on a single class I really think this app is amazing and helps a lot of people but I just don’t want the premium access but I still want the classes so you’re forced to buy A subscription to get classes in my opinion that is a scam and without any classes or any learning the app is completely useless I wish you could let me click on some classes not even all of them just some of them without a premium access that would make the app 10 times better

It’s Worth it. I love this app. Its awesome to pay one price for as many classes as you want . I wish they would’ve kept it $15 a month. My only issue apart from the price going up is the app making me keep re-logging in ,in order to see when’s my due date or which email I used . I normally forget my email & password lol but skillshares worth it. I just don’t like monthly fees but that’s how it can save me money from paying for each class. I’m so thankful for the free trial. I would just like to be able to get certificates from some courses & more interaction

Terrible Customer Service and Sneaky Practices. After using Skillshare for several years under a monthly plan, they booted me out of the plan without any notice. Then, every time I logged in, I was pointed to a screen where I had no choice but to subscribe to a costly annual plan. When I contacted customer service they were incredibly unhelpful and pretended like I just suddenly wasn't a subscriber anymore and that there was no wrong on their end. I imagine that Skillshare must suddenly want to convert their earlier monthly members who were paying $9.99 a month to yearly members and this was a sneaky, incredibly unprofessional way to go about it. I can't imagine how many members they have upset with this bizarre move.

Worth every penny!. There are very few subscription-type services that I can get behind, but this...this is amazing! There are some really dedicated and willing people on this platform that truly want you to success and better your self. This is WAY CHEAPER than considering taking all these courses individually somewhere in person. Plus you can do this at your own pace, in your own comfort zone. I guarantee there are classes on here that you didn’t know you wanted to take until you saw it!! Try it out. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Love love love love it!

Learned pattern design, photoshop, and illustrator. Whenever I have a question, someone on Skillshare has an answer. I had a very basic understanding of simple tools in photoshop, but now I have a good grasp, and am in the process of learning illustrator better as well. I’m an aspiring surface and pattern designer, and have learned SO much. The subscription value is certainly worth the knowledge I have gained. And it’s all I one place with amazing and professional (and responsive!) teachers. Also love the variety of teachers and classes. Lots of great watercolor classes too!

Great app. I love this service and the app. Makes it super easy for me to watch the content from anywhere in the world. I also love the background play feature as well. I’ve had a hard time accessing project files and uploading projects from the app; maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. I have been having to go to the desktop web version to get the app files and submit projects. However, it’s a great app and I highly recommend it.

Favorite app of all time!. I love learning and have many interest and levels of skill in those interests. With this service I can pay one price and learn about everything I have interest in developing. This is cheaper than paying for a different service for each interest. I love that there are tutorials for all levels so that I can continue learning something I already know about, or, I can begin a completely new interest (like digital illustration). I never get enough of this app!

The best investment. I have been using skillshare for a few months now & it has been the best investment I could have ever done for myself. There is a variety of classes from art work to financial freedom etc. & all of it has been extremely useful in my life. I have made it a non negotiable into my day to day. I love learning & this app has made it that much easier for me to learn the things I have always wanted to teach myself. I highly recommend this app to everyone and anyone.

Disappointing experience, unresolved issue. I recently signed up for a free trial but unfortunately didn’t get the chance to use this service much. Despite my attempt to cancel the subscription, I was charged for a yearly subscription without any notification about auto-renewal. I reached out to the customer care seeking a refund. Initially, I faced a refusal, but they mentioned escalating the issue. Unfortunately, I have not received any response since then. My emails have been ignored. I believe in fair practices, and it’s disheartening to encounter such challenges. I hope the team can address this situation promptly and provide a resolution. Transparent communication and customer satisfaction are crucial for any service, and I hope my concerns will be acknowledged and resolved.

First time Skillshare user. I am really enjoying Skillshare. I am finding all sorts of instruction on the topics I’m looking for. And I’m stumbling across so many more that are getting put on my to do list. I’m so glad to have the subscription. That way I can just do whatever I want and not keep worrying about what I’m spending. This has been great for me as I start my website as well as just keeping myself energized and excited to start each day now that I’m retired and am looking for more focus in my life.

One of the best experiences I’ve had. Not only are the classes diverse, thorough, and fun to learn with, but Skillshare’s customer service is AMAZING. I accidentally purchased a monthly subscription without meaning to and they got back to me in less than 12 hours. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a full refund for a subscription payment from any service before, but Skillshare has blown me away! I would highly recommend both the experience Skillshare provides and the comfort of knowing you’re in safe hands. I’m definitely going to purchase an annual sub when I get the opportunity!
