Soulstone issue. Fun game, it's one that doesn't take much time when you're in a rush but also need a distraction. Only downside is that soulstones are HORRIBLE trying to get. I'm in an inactive zone so trying to find PvP units is impossible. Update: It’s really annoying when you’re raiding multiple castles and then your game crashes... and then it won’t fully load up before kicking you out. I’m gunna be mad if my castle gets attacked and I lose my offense from the raids or losing all that food I harvested.

Mechanics don’t function properly. Would be fun if devs could fix load screen errors in game The most exciting part of this game is not tactics against your Opponent but if the game will actually let you access the screens without load errors on timely actions Huge problem

Destroyed the game!. I have been playing this game for about two years and have loved it but am now considering quitting. The developers have gotten greedy they have destroyed the integrity of the game. Many of us have spent considerable time and $ obtaining upgrades and building our league strength, as encouraged by Palarium, all to be now worthless because of their constant upgrades and changes. The input of players is not really listened to except for the ones that spend considerable money. If you are looking for a good war strategy game that remains constant and reliable....not so sure this is the one.

Dependable developers. This game is not a waste of time. Yes the game has been almost unplayable lately but the developers have responded. It takes time to get everything just right. Especially in a game like this one that keeps growing and changing. Patience is the key. We want everything right now! Lol It may seem like nothings being done but the devs always come through. At least they have in the few years I’ve been playing. I love this game.

Upset.. I just updated the game and can’t log in. I tried to get help but apparently they are not helping anyone right now. I can’t get through there either :-(,,,

Can’t login. So basically my phone broke and I got a new one. I went to sign in through Facebook but since I have two Facebook accounts I accidentally hit the wrong account. Now it won’t let me switch my Facebook or login into my other account please tell me how to fix this.

Show them the money!!!!. So when almost all of the in game purchases cost $100 USD then you can see the rater below was calling the developer out correctly. This game use to be fun but unless you are an oil Barron then I don’t see how one could afford to play. To respond that you don’t need money is incorrect. You need to buy sketches to progress past a certain point and those cost cash money to make any reasonable/ marginal progress in the game.

Not updated to new device resolution. On the iPad Pro 12.9 and iPhone 15 max the software will attempt to display the chat message window and flash and flicker behind the game. It is absolutely annoying and needs to be fixed. Please test the app for new devices and iOS software.

Incorrect statements by developers. I have written a couple of times about my infant ray training issue, having the building at a level to get 3 full days of training on my main. However, I can only trian infantry for up to 2 days and 9 hours, not the full 3 days. Developers never responded or attempted to fix the issue. Also certain items are not rewarded in quest but can ONLY be purchased, making this more about money then entertainment

Very deep gameplay, fun community, great app!. I have played for about a year or two now and its a very fun cellphone or tablet based strategy with PVP elements and lots of rewarding gameplay. Best advice find a good guild right away and don’t waste your resources on frivolous things and be careful how you send your offensive units. Great game!

Cheated, Lies and theft. This is my first game review, but I feel I need to warn people. I will start I have been playing this game for almost 2 years now and I have enjoyed it. Recently I bought a $99 pack and it was missing items that were in the advertisement. I contacted support and they were useless? Do you have screenshots they said? Well no, no screenshots, NO help. I buy on impulse. Why take screenshots. Well now I learned. So I went back and looked at all the in game purchases for the last year for Stormfall and I feel like been cheated and stolen from. Be very careful when buying from them. Take many screenshots. Best of luck dealing with support!

Poor support. They changed events after they are started, don’t reply to issues, pretty much trying to either kill the game or hope that everyone quits at this point. Was a really fun war game but going downhill very quickly over the last 6 months.

Good BUT going downhill rapidly. I have previously reviewed about upgrade issues breaking the game by being mandatory but not being available to download. Now they’re simply breaking the game. I have played Stormfall for quite some time. I’m one of those players who developers don’t like - I take the free to play to heart. So I know I need to be patient, make wise decisions and play as team. This suits my playing style and I am very active in a competitive empire. However the developers have decided to radically change the game once again, this time damaging a core concept that of league fortresses. With the latest update even the mightiest fortress can be shredded to nothing in a matter of a few attacks. This isn’t a might happen but already HAS happened and we are less than 2 days after update. Complaints have been made in the game forums but appear to be ignored. If this continues there will be no reason to continue as it is no longer as advertised as a MMO strategy game.

Downhill quick.. This game used to be great. Now it is plagued with pay to win features that make moderate coiners and non coiners irrelevant and horrible updates that glitch out the whole game and make it unplayable for everyone. If you like being kicked from game constantly on any platform or not being able to log in for days and even weeks at a time, this is the game for you.

How is game play.. free to play is a bunch of bull. You have to spend to have fun or keep getting smashed. I have no problem spending, I played game of war for 4 1/2 years but developers got greedy and were coming out with multiple updates every week. You literally had to spend 100’s every month. I finally quit. I’ll spend to keep up with updates and have fun, but how often are they coming out with new things where you ha e to spend?

MOST AMAZING GAME OF ALL TIME!!!. This game is so amazing. This is the game I’ve been playing for the last few years! It does require lots of time and effort or else you will be destroyed! So build up your castle and defense. Took me 2 years to get to level 50 and I would play it like 15 minutes a day!

Waste of time. In the beginning, you’ll spend a lot of time trying to build an army and level up but it’s pointless. You’ll end up getting attacked by super high level players over and over again. You’ll destroy your army trying to fight back and you’ll start from square one all over again. The option to buy troops and sapphires becomes the only REAL way to progress in this ruthless PvP game. Do yourself a favor, find a new game, and cut your losses.

Fix my account ASAP. I’ve been reaching out now for 3 weeks and no one has opened my ticket where are your employees at .... I want v.i.p I need better deals I’m tired of being jerked around when you guys do and update give me a break already wth is the problem stop robbing me for nothing “this is a war game against other online players”NOT A WAR GAME AGAINST PLARIUM STOP Your madness fix your bgs ... you are about to make me hire and accountant and a lawyer to play this game for me

Great way to break up the day...but. I haven’t had a solid connection in weeks. Spent over $70 last week for units and sapphires and couldn’t stay connected long enough (or even at all, like this afternoon) to use them effectively. Cannot contact game support because - oh that’s right - I cannot get into the game. Nice enough game but I’m not spending anymore money, and I don’t recommend anyone else spend money either.

So many years, so many hourglasses. I have been playing this game for a really long time, and it is a good time waster. But they seriously have to fix their server side issues, the game freezes at least once every ten minutes and loses connection to the server. Checking the forums, this is a wide spread issue affecting many people across multiple devices and locations. I used to even pay into this game every once and a while, but not since the lag issues started. Unless the hourglasses go away, I might be done soon.

Changes..... I don’t like the changes. Especially when it comes to selecting troops. If you accidentally select a troop you don’t want, they stay in your selection.... I don't like that. The old format was far better. Also, the tower thing is basically useless, as units become “locked” up and can’t be reused. Unless you coin, it’s extremely hard to get scrolls to summon anyone new. So your selection stays way too small. There needs to be an easier way to earn scrolls and the stones to advance. Not everyone that plays has money to burn. I’ve been playing for almost 3 years and am getting discouraged because the game wants my to buy things I need. I don’t have that kind of money. Can ya’ll work on that instead of adding more things that you want me to buy??

I am stopped in game. Because sapphires have stopped coming in even after me completing the tasks that get sapphires for past 2 days been playing game for weeks. A developer did respond as I noticed they fixed the sapphires glitch, thanks

Super Game. Lot's of fun to play. Good community of gamers. A little pricey unless you want to advance really slowly. Last upgrade on 11/22 was bad. Sent out one Raid, should have received 50k rss, got 0. Don’t know what Plarium does for QA, but it sure could be better!

Plarium is a joke. This game used to be the best... but now every update/bug fix/lag fix breaks something new. Can’t stay logged in, or do anything in game for weeks now. Constant connection errors/ re-login error messages/ server updates that they just tell you is your internet connection problem not theirs. I highly doubt when everyone in the game has the same problem it’s all their internet connections. Own your issues and fix your game problems Plarium. You make plenty of money from players. There should not be these kinds of problems. Don’t waste your time or money. They won’t get another dime from me.

Still my favorite game. Contrary to other posts, I have found that you don’t need to spend any money to be competitive here. This is still the only game I play everyday.

Latest update endless loop. After the latest update, the game thinks it’s not updated, so it sends me again to the App Store to update. This is very frustrating as I HAVE spent money on this game. Please fix this ! It seems I have issues of some sort after each update there is. And it seems more than just me are having this issue. (Tick tock, Christmas is around the corner and iTunes gift cards are always traded, people use these on other games if this one isn’t working) PLEASE FIX

Used to be good. After the last update the gameplay has gone down rapidly. We have nothing to look forward to do. This game has just got boring. We use to be able to build toward something. Now forts are gone. Beacons are gone. You have gone from active players to inactive in weeks. You can’t even fix the correct screen sizes, and blinking chat. Millions of dollars for developers to fix easy things. All Stormfall wants and cares about now is $$$.

Opportunity.... It is true that this is a free game and if you’re patient you don’t have to pay the in-app fees to improve your status. These game developers do not earn money by giving their games away without an option to fast track your castle with real money. I am only giving 3 stars because I think they’re overcharging to fast track. It’s a fun game though and I’m not overly competitive. You get more than what you pay for in this game (which is $0 to play) and they always make improvements!

Pay-to-Win: All they care about is $$$. Do not download this game unless you’re prepared to spend A LOT of money. The only limit on one’s power is the amount of money one is willing to spend — the top players spent $1k/month or more. In exchange for thousands of dollars, Plarium gives “VIP” players a personal customer service representative, thousands of bonus sapphires, and items that make them so powerful that one of these “money players” can easily destroy an ENTIRE LEAGUE of players who spend $30/month or so. This power imbalance has ruined the game. It used to be fun to upgrade beacons and forts, but nobody does that now — the $1K/month crowd will downgrade it as soon as they see it. Plarium has made it clear that they do not care about the non-VIP crowd. They ignore players’ in-game error reports. They are condescending and dismissive in the Plarium forums if someone suggests all is not well. Their Facebook group moderators are as helpful as possible, but they lack power to fix stuff. Plarium’s greed is killing this game, which makes those of us who loved the game very sad. :-( Note to developers: Unless you intend to address the power imbalance, there’s no need to respond to this review.

Constantly broken. I really enjoy this game and I’m cool with the constant evolution and need for new strategies. Lately the developers are really pushing more of a league level involvement with league brawls and champ tower events. With that said... this game is constantly breaking. Server updates and app updates are almost a daily occurrence and every update breaks the game. If this doesn’t improve I will leave the game. Many players have already moved on. It’s a shame.

Love the game. Love the game but when are you going to put the other games where you can get them on your tablet as I miss playing soldiers inc and sparta game as I no longer have a pc or laptop

Glitch in Shrine of Summoning. Although this game is great and fun to play, this game has a major glitch in the shrine of summoning because I'll send one of my champions out and then they won't get sent out but the game will still end up taking my energy points away even though no champion was used 😡 also the xp points don't accumulate accurately when there is a tournament for champions xp

Quick response to problem - fun game. This is for the developer: fix this! App just forced me to download the upgrade and could not then log in. OK, fast response (fixed by next day). Overall , very good game (playing for over two years)

New update / Fortresses. In the new update it is now possible to wipe out years of hard work and sweat with a couple of attacks. This is not fair to common and core players. I have spent plenty of money through the years on things in the game but with this update it renders all I have spent to nothing more than if I had not spent a dime. I am not impressed that it has all of the sudden become a money player only game. I love the PC version as well but stopped it a couple of years ago due to the same issues. I hate that it no longer is challenging for the common player. Please do something about it before you lose many good and daily players.

Support is non existant. Many bugs in this game that don’t get worked on. Support has not corrected my issues after 5 months of submitting screenshots. “We are aware of this issue and it’s currently being worked on” is their user response. Nothing ever gets fixed. If you want a refund, you will need to go through itunes if using an iphone. I recommend trying other games before commiting to this one. Good luck!

Awesome Game. One of the best free to plays I have ever played. Why you ask? Simple, this is one of few games where all in game currency can be earned without spending money irl. If you don’t understand the importance of that; then you probably don’t have a full grasp of game design. Kudos Plarium!

Pay to Win. I don’t mind if games cost a little up front nor do I mind paying for an occasional ad on. What I don’t like is when you literally have to pay to be the best. You can build a reasonable size army and really dedicate yourself to the game day in and day out. However, once you attack one person who has paid his life savings into the game, you are literally done. You will not win and your army is toast. I’m not exaggerating. When you play, your screen is bombarded with packs you can purchase to build your army faster. I don’t have anything against companies wanting to make money, but holy cow this is murder! Don’t bother trying to hold a fortress because those who spend an ungodly amount of money (and there are many players who do) can take it out in one hit which is stupid insane. If I could rate this game lower, I would. However I can’t deter people from playing. I can only warn you to what you should expect. Either spend or don’t have fun playing.

Losses. I used to love this game. It was easy to understand. Today there was a new update. A Hunt, which allowed the player to send champions out automatically. Great idea. NOT REALLY. It allows the game to use up your gems and automatic refills unless you click a box. So each time, the game sends your champs out it actually uses up both the gems and your automatic refills. Why would you need the box? Only to scam players like me or others. I now hate this game. Each update makes it harder to progress and to keep advancing. Losing is not fun when you are gaming. Only winning counts. And this game sets you up for failure.

Don't do it!. As a previous reviewer stated, Plarium did a total bait and switch to the players of this game. Baiting them into spending money to build up an aspect of the game, then later, making that aspect useless. Despite pages and pages of complaints on the forums, they refused to reverse their switch and would not even compromise. They only offered vague and nonsensical excuses for their actions and stated that the do not plan to change it. They are dishonest and don't care about the experience of the players. People play these games to be entertained, not robbed.

Define Your Own Game. I played this game for years, and spent almost no money except the occasional Christmas or birthday treat. I almost completely finished my castle, met a ton of great league members and “enemies,” and enjoyed the frequent updates. If you want to spend a bunch of money, help yourself, but it isn’t necessary for a rewarding experience. Have fun!

Third year war. I have been playing this game 3 years now i do like the updates but things go fast i cant cop up same speed i think newbies will be so disappointed and leave abandoned castle all times this game is to grow not to start as a new player I suggest to keep it this way for a while thanks for reading... LOVED THE GAME AS IT WAS 3-5 YRS AGO. This game has become exclusively about who is willing to pour money into the game versus the game used to be about work and reward as well as team comradery. The Tower feature is an unnecessary addition and really is not enjoyed by those who play the game. Once again it rolls back to money-anyone who buys their way in/out and around advancement glitches within the game is a happy camper. They are always the strongest and capable of rushing 70-80% of their fellow players. The face that they receive VIP status for both playing/spending just reinforces that the game developers are more worried about financial gain than member retention. I really wish everything in this game -as far as ranking /needs/ and building strength did not revolve around paying for 3/4 of it. At this point over 1/2 of 20 leagues I played with have already abandoned their castles and quit playing all together. For the average person looking for a way to relax and enjoy a game -I wouldn’t recommend SF, but if you are above average economically with a competitive trait and have money to burn-then I would recommend this game. The spenders seem to love it!

2 many upgrades 4 revenue, server connection gets worse. Over the years, I played Stormfall, Rise of Balur with few accounts. Plarium has updates quite often with too many bugs. Average once a month. Some updates cause more problems than before, and every major updates add new revenue schemes. Worst part of Stormfall is bad connections and request to relogin. Stormfall requires latest hardware with high powered CPU, much memory, and high bandwidth connection. My new iPad 128mb wasn’t good enough for last update. I had to relogin after almost every click. Frustration is an understatement. This is after a new owner and multiple major upgrades. Developer wants detailed failure data but it doesn’t change much afterwards. Even top tier coiners who spend hundreds of dollars per month (thousands in some months)doesn’t always get best customer service either. Another unfair thing about Stormfall is there are lots of Russian federation players who can buy game currency at less than 1/10th of EU or US players. They can buy more troops for cheaps and kill your league easier. Why do I still play? Many good players left but few players I have developed relationships with are good. Otherwise I would have quit too. When my game mates are gone then I’ll be gone too.

If I could give this game ZERO stars, I would donkey kong punch that zero.. Don't be fooled by the frequently and loosely used term of "FREE" which is so eloquently strewn about on Stormfall's information page. You will realize relatively soon in the game that you need money to make something of yourself otherwise you're just gonna end up as one of the million farms in the Stormfall graveyard. You will get sucked in, but what keeps you in are the people you meet and play with/against. Plarium has shown and continues to show that it has no ceiling for creating new features (cha-ching cha-ching) to the game to strengthen your army/castle etc. Its a vicious circle of dumping money into the game and to be quite frank, their actions seem to be geared more towards making profits rather than caring about their loyal players. Don't play Stormfall. Buy a time machine, go back in time, buy Stock in Stormfall and sell those shares while Plarium is rolling in dough.

Update.. So not impressed with the latest update. Looking for new game to play. Why is it nobody listens to the little players that don’t have any monies. I understand spending money in game. That’s not the issue. Everybody’s opinions need to be listened too.

Broken. Updating to two stars. Game works now after major release which is a welcome improvement but still many gameplay issues exist. League chat, champion training, hero equipment modals all cause boot to home screen. Seems like instantiation issue affecting all mini games. Game is also showing stack trace error upon app refresh which is a ux no no. Again... I like the story, the strategy, and the community, but the foundation that brings all those things together, the engineering, needs more work. Will continue to update as things get better... or worse. One point worth making, the support team is very nice, I just wish they did not need to do as much support for their sake and mine!

Best I can give them.... Plarium make a decent game with good graphics, which is why I gave them 2 stars. BUT - the only new development they do is to add more “pay for” features. Bugs and requested enhancements are totally ignored. Customer Support is virtually non-existent unless you are a big spender. The big spenders are given extra perks to make them unbeatable, causing the games to be dominated by those that want to spend a lot of money on a game. It’s not fun anymore. By the, it should be noted that none of he graphics shown here are part of the game - they are for marketing only.

Still a scam. Nothing but servers with people who been playing for years and have 50 accounts and it’s so obvious this game is only here to steal your money and empower Russia. These battle reports favor the Russian worse than any game I have played. You can attack level 30 bases and lose more power of their Russian but not of their Russian bigs attack you. Fraud. I have been playing this game for over three years. I am a monster player on server one that has spent a insane amount of money. I never had a problem spending money to get further ahead but what I have a huge problem with is the fraud that they just committed. They came out with an item then a few weeks later they sent out a message game wide increasing it x3. After people spending tens of thousands of dollars game wide. Then they reduced it by 10 folds. That is called bait and switch that is the act of fraud. The game has been dying for quite some time now and this act of fraud that they just committed is going to force people like me not to spend anymore money and the game is going to go even further downhill.

Keeps crashing. Stupid app, downloaded today and crashes constantly while opening, tried contacting support but that's not helpful either Don't waste ur time or money

Drakensburg. I've only had the latest version an hour or so. This is my first game of this kind and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's quite challenging but lots of little rewards to keep you going.

Poor form. I also can’t log in - for a game that takes money it’s pathetic

Another failed update!. Yet again another untested update. The game says download to continue and yet there is nothing to download and I cannot progress to the game

Great game but terribly buggy. Been playing for a few years now and I welcome the new features and challenges. However ... bugs ... every update brings a raft of broken bits. C’mon ... take our money with no QA? Looking at you Plarium.

Game Support. Room for improvement by game support team/department. For any game/company where hundreds of millions of dollars are spent by customers, this department ought to be second to none. If I’m to not sugar-coat it. Right now, it’s right next to none.

Settlement Flawed. Maybe remind players to bring some defense forces on their first settlement capture. I lost 90% of my offensive army, upon capturing a settlement and was attacked by another player.

Better then Game of war!!. Awesome game just started finally no having to be ignored by MZ

Love the game. Ok first, like the title says I love the game but when I made a mistake and lost access to 1 out of my 6 castles support has had no contact after 4 days, 2 seperate tickets, I put a lot of time and money into this game. I will rate it 5stars when I get my main castle back

False & Misleading Information. The game provides false information on legendary units which require money to purchase. These units don't do as they state they do & when the app developers were contacted they stated they didn't have enough room to provide an accurate description & refused to refund your money. Despite that they openly admit that it is their fault but they only issue refunds for technical issues not for them providing false & misleading information to rip of thousands & thousands of people.

One of the very best!. This is a worthwhile game app to play! Takes strategy, math and persistence. Once you get into it, it Becomes a daily enjoyment to play.

Great. This game destroys the genre and unlike mobile strike, it isn't pay to win. There are in app purchases, but it doesn't matter if you get them or not.

Alright. All in all a good game, only problem is you charge way to much for the revival of units, either don't have the option or make it so you can pay with resources not sapphires

A normal player. I am very disappointed with this game, when I first started playing this I loved it, but I soon came to realise that this is just another PAY To WIN game. There are players in this game who is either working for the company or is a tool that spend cash like water, I give you an example a player name "instructor zero" who i calculate after he show off his SS that use about 30k Aus Dollars in the game and took down the rank 1 in the game. This shows me that it's not about time and effort but purely MONEY. So unless you can match that DONT install this game. If I could give this game a zero star I would, for wasting my time and money.

Best RPG ever!. This is the best RPG I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It even beats CoK hands down - and that, dear gamer, is the saying a lot. Fantabulous graphics, always something to do - never bored! Also says a lot about the game. Try it out - it costs nothing to try, and you'll be addicted very quickly. Now, off I go, back to THE game!

Playing this game for years!. I’ve played this game for more than 4 years. Always entertained and had great community’s. Strategy, love and frustration! But always in there for the love of it and the power of growing and having the occasional adrenaline rush of PvP, wins! Get into this game as it’s worthwhile!

Game. The game is great, except when reviving your units from infirmary,not all of can afford to do so and I bought the sapphires 2 days ago and still haven't received it , tried contacting but no reply still , disappointed

This is a brilliant game but it's really hard to earn sapphires, unless there is a way that I haven't discovered, but the only way I have gotten them so far is; buying them, or receiving a gift when you log in, but I can't seem to earn them in raids or anything which is a pity. Apart from that, a very fun game.

Concerned!. I want my money back! Built my castle's defences, joined a good league, topped my ranking now it keeps saying, Connection Error! Try my internet connection! How am I writing this and posting fools? Warning! A very unstable game, frustrating and ruins trust with your team because you let them down.

Okay. Interesting as you grow, but this game gets dull fairly quickly, but you can play for free.

Poor Game, expense and lots of glitches. Playing this game for 3 yrs....it’s very expensive and has lots of glitches which Stormfall support DO NOT compensate you for...very poor support and what a rigmarole to try to contact them...it’s not worth your effort.

Zero stars. Terrible game that rips you off and often undergoes updates that stops players from accessing their accounts. Developers/support lie to you and say you cannot change your linked email yet change their mind when it chooses them.

Update murdered game. This was once a good game until an update where I can never open the game again. Several years playing just for one update to ruin it

Addictive. Good game mechanics, just needs a few tweaks to make it more stable, but it's definitely headed in the right direction!

Tickle me pink.. Nice looking game, you are able to progress without buying sapphires, but it will take longer. No loading or drop out problems. All in all not to bad a game to fill in those quiet times.

Very poor Support!. Lost my Marshal position due to game glitch. Support no help what so ever, didn’t even do any research. Unless you coin they are not interested!

Don't spend money. Game itself is good, plenty to keep you occupied. Beware you may have trouble logging into the game and if this happens when you are trying to put vulnerable troops away do not expect any empathy or help from customer service. My advice is not to spend money on the game as this will just lead to disappointments. Go slow but go hard when you attack or defend.

Scam. Bought gems in game and then the game crashes now when I enter. Tried to contact them 2x and they don't reply plus the few seconds I do see in game I see they didn't even give me the gems just took my $13 and ran. Recommend don't try to buy gems for this game or you will be robbed too. Ps: this is my first review ever.

Interesting!. So far, I think the game will be magnificent. That is, if it doesn't keep hassling me about sapphires, and prevents me from leaving the main character page. I'm not really sure how I get out of it now and then, but it certainly is a hindrance for play.

Long time player leaving the game.. Hey Gamers, do not download this game. It’s become expensive and with the recent changes the developers rip their players off. For example, they have what’s called “special quests” in which you receive rewards and experience points. In the past you could spend sapphires to use the “Special Quest Auto Completer” and you would receive the reward, but now you get nothing. And the worst part is you are told after you spend your sapphires that you will get nothing and there’s no reversal. There was no warning given to the players before or after the change. This is really dishonest and shows little respect for it’s players. Their in game purchases are also expensive and when you make a purchase you will notice a sudden increase in prices. Eventually the prices will go down provided you don’t spend anything for some time. There are opportunities to acquire sapphires in the game but the rewards are small and you will need to buy sapphires if you want to progress. Plarium will request you join their forum to voice game concerns but it’s like talking to a politician, all they do is blow you off like smoke and carry on in their ways, which is why I’m writing this review here. I could reveal more but I think this is sufficient...heed my warning and stay away.

Not impressed. Been playing since Jan. 2016. New changes to the game-which are never explained to you-make it so you stand to lose. I used to earn a decent amount of sapphires, now I barely earn any despite my efforts. The price in terms of sapphires to rehabilitate your "injured" units is exorbitantly high. You won't get any of your bestiary or legendary units back unless you give greedy Plarium your $$$. It's pathetic. Not worth it at all.

Amazing. A very addictive fun game! It takes a lot of practice, skill and knowledge to do well in but it makes the game more interesting. You don't need sapphires till later on then u get them in tourneys, so not sure what people are saying. Very amazing game and the best I have seen for a base builder!

Greed. The fact that the developers have a blanket statement for any complaints regarding their greed and the amount of money one needs to spend to be competitive in this game certainly is telling. Anyone not willing to spend money on the game shouldn’t bother. The game is based on a good premise and could be fun but due to certain players being able to spend $500/$1000 a month makes it impossible to be a competitive player. Also after playing the game for awhile you’ll need sapphires which is extremely expensive or you’ll have to play the game for 10 years to be able to earn enough sapphires to use. It’s sad that such a good game is ruined by the greed of the developers.

Disappointing. If you make a trailer showing a bunch of action and battles, there had better be some in the game. Just another boring build my town, pick a battle and get a report on the battle game. Gamers want to control their troops not let an algorithm simulate a scenario for you. Spend all that time building a town and you don't even get to watch the battle? Deleted after 15min of game play. It was quickly evident thus game was not for me.

Parents beware: bullying and trolling rampant. This game has no mechanisms to help players police trolls and deal with harassment and abuse. The support group is non existent and while they say they investigate complaints, they don’t. Leagues have no way of keeping offensive players out, so trolls/bullies continue to create multiple accounts and harass people within supposedly “safe” league chats. Reports and complaints to Plarium are not addressed. There is no mute, report player or ban option except a one hour chat ban which doesn’t work. Don't waste your time and money, and DON’T let your children play this game.

Play only if you have the $$$ to back it up. I have been playing this game for a year now. Started out great but now the company is all about making big money. There are a lot of coiners so buyer beware, it eventually because less about strategy and more about who has the bigger pockets.

Moderators Are All Russian. The censors are in a league and ban/blacklist non-friends. This game is probably a hack to steal credit card info.

No longer worth playing. I have played this game for a long time, and now it has become win with micro transactions. You know it’s bad when several leagues write they’re sponsored by credit card companies. This last patch made the games developers greed worse where unless you have been stock piling sapphires you won’t be able to get the upgrades cheaply. The game its self is done in 5 minutes or less once ya get past the “baby bubble” stages. But the biggest down fall is the money grab by the developers. I am just working my castles food into the deep negatives before I pack the catacombs and delete the game. And see how little they pay attention below in there response “long time player” written in my first sentence and they respond with: here’s how you make sapphires. The problem is how little sapphires you make, they’re forcing a pay to win. Want a new item in newer content or upgrade a building past a certain point ya best get the credit card out or farm for the next year.

Going downhill fast. This game is getting harder to play with every “update”. You can’t do anything without the game freezing. Stop issuing updates that do nothing but make the game harder to play. Champs freeze, daily quests freeze, raiding freeze, stone heart trails freeze. Please fix all the bugs before you have no players left.

Ridiculous losses in battle. Troop losses are so out of wack the game is mostly luck and patience, very little strategy. Good community though, but I cannot recommend.

Inept profile handling. Money lost. No tech support. I spent a lot of $$$. I created a login. Logged out and in and lost 60 levels. Asked for tech support help and got a bot. Sent an email with my issue and only silence. Find a different game that knows how to handle profiles and has customer service. Plarium doesn't

Worse developers and only care about the money. I been playing this game for two years and I truly will be boycotting this company and the game developers no more will they see my money and as a game community it is important we all do the same ! Show them we aren’t going to be rob no more!

Although anyone can learn how to play this game, a game for all ages. This game is geared toward your more series gamers, mainly because this game is so detailed, that it will take a bit getting used too, to fully understand the concept. If you are new to this game, or sitting on the side-lines not sure if this game is for you. I highly recommend you, giving this a game a shot. It's a lot of fun! Once you learn how to play. My best advise is, Once downloaded. Join a "league" (A league: in this game is similar to a clan, guild, team that you may have seen in other games.) that can give you advice to help you out with any questions. 9/10 times, everyone in the game is helpful and happy to give you free advise that will put you light-years ahead of the someone, that just randomly joining in. Blah. Thought was exciting and different then other mmo war games & The troop training and a different troops and how they work that is different little bit convoluted but there are things that I look for now in war games over the past year I’ve probably played over 60,most don’t make it past week! I just like doing reviews and I got certain rules now that if they are broken within the first week? I’m done with the game! Now game is a snoozer big time! But I can get past that in a way, I mean there is lots to do but that may be the problem but one of the rules I have is that if within the first week I’m running out of resources already whether I’m farming or not, that tells me something and this game is a pure cash grab! Do not let anyone for or let the developers tell you otherwise, and funny thing is, I’m a spender.. I don’t mind spending but this game you can already tell that you would have to spend a small fortune to be relevant! Also the major currency that really is everything in the game sapphires kind of ridiculous to come by! And a little bit that you do when here and there amounts to nothing really and they have a lot of things in place to really advance, you pretty much have to spend some.. now the server I’m on there’s not a lot of action there might be a nap I don’t know if that’s the case and you can find a server with an nap? then you can probably grow, you’ll have to grind a lot and it is easy to move up to level 40 really quick actually... but level 40 sounds big but it’s not there’s this whole separate thing I think you get to once you hit like level 100, it goes to another 50 levels or so.. this game has been out for what five years.. I don’t know, I’m not saying don’t play the game just for me it’s too boring and I already have a couple other games that I spend on and I could tell this game would be a lot of micro transactions especially when it comes to needing sapphires! Needs work on purchases. Great game, the bonus pack crashes the game though. After you make the In-app purchase of the bonus pack the game will no longer load. Due to how the game is coded, upon start up it defaults to try and sell you the "super saver package" even if you already purchased it. Once the game contacts the server, and the server responds with its already been purchased the game doesn't know how to close the dialog and crashes. The offer is only valid for another 14 hours, so I assume after the times up and the offer is gone the game will return to proper working order again. But that's just my assumption. I'm trying to get in contact with a developer and give a few great ideas to make the interface much more user friendly, with any new app the game has a few bugs but I think after they are fixed and if my ideas are implemented in updates it would increase it's user friendly level. Carrot on a Stick. With this newest update, Stormfall finds new ways to get you to spend money. The ratio of in-game rewards and materials needed to upgrade is disproportionate. Do not play.

Money grab. I am a five year player. The developers add updates that require hundreds of dollars to complete to remain competitive in the game. The latest update destroyed more than a years worth of time and money invested into this game.

Letters and report problem. When I touch the letter and report, it keep stopping the game. No can do nothing. It has been a problem 1 week. I reported it to the g.m and never receive an answer. I'm getting regret to play. If it does not fix it, that's fine I will stop playing for saving money.

Fun. But!!!. Played 3 months and got to level 53! This game is much like Game of War Fire Are. Game is addicting and I can tell you that you can get far in the game without buying gems or spending real money. But of course your never gonna be as strong as people who buy stuff like hero units that are way OP! One of the biggest flaw to this game is that it cost GEMS and only gems to revive troops and without troops your pretty much at a standstill & useless... Another thing is the settlements if you defend it you can't recall your troops or at least I couldn't and lost pretty much 3months of Playing in a minute. Btw a small msg to the creators of this game "you would have so much more active and returning players who may buy stuff if it couldn't be all lost in minutes"... That being said its a ok gaming that is much like the rest of the games in the App Store these days "all about money". But this game is free and I did have fun with it for the pass few months so thanks for the good times. Oh and the graphics are good and cool that you have people and creatures moving around like the dragon, Knights etc. Also did a good job on the last update the game seems to be running faster than before. So keep up the good work and hopefully someday I'll play it again that is if troops are easier to revive. Thanks!

A decent game, a few suggestions. To start, I am a very experienced player in this game and would recommend that as many people who are looking to play the game read this as possible. This game is tough. It’s challenging to learn and can lead to failure easily. Perseverance and patience are required to overcome your enemies. Battles fought in a few minutes can set you back for months, where you rebuild using battlegrounds and tournaments. The community of people in this game are some of the best I’ve seen across any gaming platform, many humble and kind; willing to help you learn(there are a few meanies out there but they’re fun to mess with, even if they’re stronger than you ;) ). I would give this game 5 stars, and above is my review to incoming players, but below is a note to the developer. Hello, in one of the recent updates, the Stoneheart trials were added to keep the larger players of the game interested. This concept was genius in a sense, and a little overlooked in another. By boosting the power of players that have spent years on the game, players fighting to rise in power are under a huge setback. A defense of griffons, demons, archers/lost ones, golems and heroes can easily be overpowered by a few Stoneheart trial units. My recommendation to get your money flow from the rising players back (as opposed to relying on the few with enough things unlocked) is to either balance the Stoneheart trial units a little more, or to add a few troops to the regular arsenal that can block/ damper the effects of these massive Stoneheart units. Update. The new update has ruined the game

Turned to crap. They keep releasing updates that have really made effort feel less impactful. And the last update broke the app. It won’t even load. Find something else

Reliability. The game is now unreliable. I have not been able to log in for hours. Every other app on phone and iPad work fine. Either Plarium security is bad and they have been hacked or they are just plain incompetent.

New upgrades. Very poor decision on palrium part playing field is even more uneven. And favors the coiners or huge leagues. Small leagues can’t compete . To even upgrade with the beacon mess that was created awhile ago .

You can’t use your free boosts.. If you attack someone you can no longer get your troops back. I have hundreds of boosts that I could use but palarIiym now requires you to pay for what you already had for free.

Awesome game. I've been playing about a month now and am really enjoying this game. I've played GoW for almost 2 years and spent so much more money there than here. And I must admit, I'm enjoying this game a lot more. I have a very strong account for a very small percentage of what you get elsewhere. The best part of this game, compared to others, is that you can hide your troops and never worry about losing everything you've spent your time and money on. The only way to lose it all is to accidentally leave them out to be killed. Then you need to spend real money to recover some of them or take the time to rebuild them all. But if you keep them hidden and stay on top of what you're doing, you're safe. Give this game a try and you'll quickly see how it plays much better than it's competitors. Customer service is also very helpful and quick to answer any issues I've had. Plarium gets my vote as being a great developer.
