Best keyboard ever but... This is seriously the best keyboard I've ever used. I tried them all: Gboard, Fleksy, Grammerly, Minumm, Apple's own keyboard and more, but I always come back to this one because it's just works so good in pretty much every category. I have a small request though: if you can, please do something with the wasted space on the iPhone X, either eliminate it or do something useful with it (in the app settings there's no wasted space for example and that's nice). Also, on 3D touch enabled devices, can you please do that moving the cursor up and down and not only left or right will be an option as well? I know that when you reach the end of the row it automatically does that, but it's not the most comfortable thing... Another complaint I have is that the keyboard doesn't insert a space after things like a .,?! and that's pretty annoying. Last complaint is that there's no long pressing a letter for options like ":()*% etc.

Best keyboard app out there!. If you look at any reviews out there, SwiftKeys always seems to come out on top. Give a go and don’t penalize the keyboard for some of the kinks that are still being worked out with the new iOS. A few things… -there do seem to be some issues when the keyboard isn’t working right in certain apps. BUT This seems to be more of an iOS 8 issue. I think we’re all looking forward to iOS 8.1 which should solve a lot of things besides the keyboard (no, not 8.0.1). -at first the keyboard might seem frustrating to learn, but keep at it and it gets Flow gets really smooth. Awesome feature when you can’t type with two hands. -it’s great that SwiftKey released the first app free to be there for day one. Awesome way to get people using it on their phones and get the word out. I’m sure there will be paid additional themes to comes.

An amazing app, my #1 daily user.. SwiftKey is hands down the best of the keyboard apps I've used. There are things I still use other keyboards for, so it's not a universal solution, but the ease of use, the EXCELLENT swipe typing capabilities, and about the best predictive text I've encountered make it indispensable as an everyday tool. This one also gives cool statistical info on your typing and keyboard usage, including a "heat map" (recently renamed the "tap map") shows where your fingers THINK letters are, the total improvement to productivity, number of words typed, corrected, replaced, and a total distance your finger traveled across your phone screen while swiping (mine if over 2100 METERS!), etc. The only real criticisms I have are the voice dictation, which I can't seem to streamline, and an occasional auto-fill glitch that inserts "F+(random word)." All in all, this is a must have for anyone that doesn't use voice dictation regularly.

Broken and glitchy, crashes all the time. For a month or so now, I think at around the same time the new bing and chat appeared, the keyboard is almost entirely broken. The keyboard visually “crashes” all the time and blinks, and each time it does that it breaks swift keyboard typing, stops typing whatever you where typing, lose all context of word corrections etc. You’ll have to fight to manage to type a long word before it crashes and resets again. The only reason I have this keyboard is because it provides swift / gliding style of typing in my language which Apple does not yet do, but with this functionality (and the keyboard) broken, it is entirely useless. Edit: saw a tip from developer elsewhere about deleting the app and reinstalling. That helped for me as well and solved the crashes and glitches. Leaving it at 3 stars for now since developer did not reply to me with this tip, and since it was not communicated anywhere else and just started crashing.

Go back to combing typing & swiping for the same word.. I've been a devoted SwiftKey user for years. I even purchased themes to keep you going. I primarily love SwiftKey because I love to swipe without having to lift my finger up. However it seems like SwiftKey changed the way that swiping works and it takes away some of what made SwiftKey better than Gboard. You see, I used to be able to enter a word by manually typing the first two letters of the word and then finished spelling the word by swiping the remaining letters. As long as I didn't hit the spacebar then it knew that I was still working on the same word. This made word prediction significantly more accurate. However, your new method removes the ability to start a word by typing and finish it by swiping. Instead, if I lift my finger up, it automatically considers that a new word. The end result is that I end up typing most words (to get the proper ending) instead of swiping. And that defeats the purpose of swiping all together. Please strongly consider going back to the old way of swiping.

Must have for anyone who has an electronic device!. I've been using SwiftKey for a few years now. I started with my cell phone and now I have it on all 7 devices we have in our home. It's a must have for anyone who can appreciate just how much it does and without even realizing. It keeps track of your choice of words and easily guesses and or auto corrects as you go. Can't begin to imagine how much time just that alone has saved me/my family over the years. It does it with such accuracy that when I had to use someone else's device I was amazed. I didn't realize how much this simple app did for me in my every day typing of texts, sending emails, even searching the web. It took all of 30 seconds into using my friends tablet for me to stumble over such basic words, but in a good way. I'd gotten so used to SwiftKey guessing my desired word after only the first or second letter. I recommend SwiftKey to anyone who has an electronic device used for texts, emails, notes, calendars, and any and everything in between and can appreciate the time this app saves you. I'm team SwiftKey 1000% and I never take the time to leave reviews for anything. I mean ever which clearly shows just how awesome this app is. You will not be disappointed!!!

Great keyboard. I love this keyboard have been using it for years.I love it better than the iPhone stock keyboard. I did however run into a few issues and bugs which I think need addressing first one lately when I’ve been trying to use the keyboard and start typing it kind of glitches and resets it’s not too bad but it does get in the way of typing usually uninstalling and reinstalling the app works for me. The second issue comes after this last reinstall of the app I’m not able to login to any accounts such as Facebook or Google there is an error saying something went wrong which is frustrating because I have to start from scratch again and after using the app for many years you get a custom to using certain predictions so now when I type something incorrectly and it auto corrects to something else that you normally don’t type. I wish there was a fix for this hope it gets looked intoOther than that it is a great keyboard app

Finally gave out after a decade of use. I started using Swype about a decade ago. Happy with the swype feature which pther keyboards picked up on. Every now and then it'd make ridiculous word suggestions on common words which I'd always hafta correct (eg. when I swype "always" it somehow becomes "ashjay" which I didn't even know is a word). Fine, nothing's perfect. The swype function was very responsive and emoji suggestions were on point. No way was I using the crappy Apple keyboard. However, more recently the keyboard keeps refreshing making typing a nightmare. It started switching keyboards even though I set Swype as my default keyboard. I even deleted the apple keyboard such that swype was the only keyboard left to no avail on the refresh issue. I had to give up ater a decade's use and switch to Google Keyboard, which does not give me this issue. Wishing y'all the best, Microsoft Swype. 3 stars for when y'all were working over the decade, but from how the app's acting now, 1 star.

Not pleased. I have had this app just about a year now. Having the ability to swipe and not chicken peck on a cellphone to send text and email is huge, but some basic features on this app are inconsistent and worse than earlier versions or similar apps (hard to know switching from Droid to Apple). For instance, as others have mentioned, it completely forgets previous frequently used words not even suggesting them, instead inputs words I have never used or selected. Where do they come from? I have never heard or seen anyone use this crazy/foreign/ dated language. It does not appear to be improving with usage, as I thought was implied. And to the above point, I use similar language frequently and I don't know why I often have to repeatedly correct it from crazy words I never use. Why isn't it improving? Next, when I begin typing a word or compete a word and it offers a suggestion and I choose that word from the suggestion box it does not input it but leaves the few letters I typed and enters a space after the incomplete word, or just enters a space after the wrong word. I have to go back and select the word again or completely type the word myself. What's the use in suggestions then? I am growing increasingly frustrated with this app and beginning to question if chicken pecking might be faster and more hassle-free.

Hate it more than I Love It. The swipe feature was the main reason I downloaded SwiftKey. And I love that feature. I'm not into the whole customization aspect so I just picked a keyboard that looked most like apple's stock keyboard. The sizing and spacing was different so it took a little bit of getting used to. I tapped a lot of wrong keys in the beginning. The word prediction and auto-correct is TERRIBLE. It is so frustrating to use. I'll type a very normal word that I have typed MANY times correctly and it will change it to some random word. It slows me down a lot. You'd think that the advertised feature that the app "learns your typing style to know what words you choose and use frequently" would actually work...but it doesn't....not even in the slightest. I feel like I am too committed to switch back to Apple's keyboard or a different 3rd party...but overall, I hate this keyboard app way more than I love it. It slows me down a ton while trying to the something simple. Even the swipe feature will never give me the words I want. So yeah, I'm not a big fan unfortunately.

Typical microsoft. Update: you'll likely get a meaningless boilerplate response from Microsoft for asking critical commentary to the effect of : thank you for helping us make this app better... That translates to: "we are salaried employees and have zero motivation to listen let along incorporate your critique. We are smarter than you." This gestalt is endemic at Microsoft. Microsoft: 1. your keyboard continued to occupy 2/3s of the the iPad screen. 2. There is no AI or noticeable "learning" in the functionality of this keyboard - it requires precise sweep placements or the wrong word is transcribed. 3. Typing is prone to error on this keypad. At least do a revision that allows users an option to narrow keyboard while you work on 2, 3. Thank you Second rate product that could be so good but they have the wrong people. Folks - THE KEYBOARD TAKES UP NEARLY THE ENTIRE SCREEN!!!!! DID YOU SOMEHOW NOT NOT K N OW THIS OR THINK THAT WOULD BE FINE????? I AM WRITING THIS NOW BLIND AS YOUR KEYBOARD BLOCKS THE TEXT. ARE YOU ALL COMPILE T ED KNUBSCULLS??? YOUR KEY OARD ALSO CONTINOUSLY INSERTS SPACE S IN WORDS. DID YOUR RED N GINEERS SOMEHOW MISS THIS???? MY GOODNESS. AND YOU ALL WONDER HU OW APPLE CAME FROM NOWHERE AND BLEW YOU OUT OF THE WATER. FIX THIS. DON'T RELEASE BETAS WITH LIPSTICK. ALSO I M AM YET TO SEE ANY "LEARNING" WHATSOEVER R

Honestly I'm disappointed. This keyboard has real upsides but also some significant impediments to usability. Let's start with some positives: the themes are engaging and fun without drawing too much focus. It does feel like a lot of work was put in to mask c(auto-correcto, will be discussed in cons) make it responsive and stable (looking at you, ios g-board). The emoji-keyboard is usably searchable (looking at you meta messenger). The dictionary is editable (though with some issues) But the cons aren't tiny. It's obvious they're skimping on real world usability issues. The little +/x in the upper left is a pain to actually get into the hit box of. The autocorrect is filled with obscure proper nouns that often interfere with typing common words. The autocorrect also has some nasty habits of either inserting two words at once that may be a typo with no botton that can remove that, or it'll try changing a word id already determined correct and moved on from when I try to type a new word, often in ways that just make no sense. Common words needing to be added, like 'admin'...really Microsoft? Admin is a rare thing to type but 'Livan' is common enough that we'd need to have it from the box? Also, the majority of your users are adults, when we start using adult words and their derivatives could you just unlock other related ones because kilometers of typing in, I shouldn't have to stop and tap [redacted]

Legit best keyboard I have ever used. Look I don’t normally take the time out of my day to write a review unless I actually think the product was amazing I’m talking five stars blow your socks off amazing! As with any keyboard you got to give the program the AI time to learn I’ve only had this app for a few days and it is amazing how fast it is picking up my slang how fast it is picking up the correct predictions for my slang anybody who knows that when they go to put the F word and they get duck can understand this lol. If you can deal with getting passed I’d say probably two weeks of the keyboard learning how do you type this is a must have it is by far the best keyboard I have ever used the swipe feature also amazing I’m not very good with it but I imagine for somebody who is oh man crazy speed Thank you for this amazing app and for free it’s the bomb God bless

The Best Keyboard for iPhone: 1 Star. I used the Swype Keyboard for years after it was out of support, until an update removed it from my phone. I don't expect another product to be exactly like Swype, but every keyboard on the app store is garbage, including this one. It is the best, though. A little customization would be nice, for example, I have to manually space after every comma and there is no apostrophe shortcut, but there is a shortcut for emojis. Hallelujah, who needs a comma shortcut when you can send a smiley face? As a 40 year old man, I find emojis to be very helpful in none of my communications. I actually rated this keyboard two stars but having this review gutted by autocorrect was enough to bump it down to one. Still the best keyboard available for iPhone by a mile. Edit: I wish I could leave less than one star for this garbage keyboard. It is absolutely infuriating with its lack of intuition. It doesn't learn anything and I send nonsensical messages constantly, as all its predictions are based on the first letter you pressed. So if you want to type "keyboard," and you start too close to "j," you'll end up with "jester" if you're lucky, but most likely it will get lost and just retype the last word you input (instead of "my keyboard" you'll get "my my"). I've had to make over 60 corrections to this paragraph. Still the best iPhone keyboard.

It’s gotten unusable. I started with Swype which was the best ever. I’ve been using this one for years since Swype went away and it used to be pretty good. However, now it just pains me to use it. I like to use “flow” but there are some words that just don’t work although I capture the pattern and letters correctly. It used to suggest a few words that were close and I could select the correct one if it didn’t pick it up correctly. Now it just picks one word which is not even close. I delete and try again and it’s the same incorrect word, over and over and over. Until I finally give up and type each letter like an idiot. You’d think it would start learning like it’s supposed to but no.. if it went back before they started the stupid copilot or whatever, maybe I could use it again. I’ll just use Apple’s keyboard I guess. There are a few features I’ll miss like having a short cut to punctuation on the first keyboard. It’s annoying to have to switch to the number screen on Apple. But I’m sure I’ll eventually get used to it. It’s better than trying to type the same word a million times.

What happened to this keyboard? (Glitch fix also). I’ve been using this keyboard for so long, way before microsoft bought the company. This was by far the best keyboard out there and definitely better than Apple’s stock keyboard. Not sure what’s happening lately but Switfkey is very glitchy now and so unstable. Keyboard keeps flashing on and off, moving on its own or just not showing up. I didn’t use to have this issue before and I hate it because I’ve spent so many years using this keyboard and It knows me so well. Please stop trying to change things that used to work just fine. People were happy with how this keyboard was before and that’s something that shouldn’t change. Anyone else out there struggling with the glitching. The only work around it I found is to uninstall the app and reinstall it , go through the whole setup again. It will fix it for now but the glitching will again after they release another update but you can repeat this. The only thing is, you will lose your typing map and some of the learned vocabulary.

Completely Ruined!. Been using this app since way before Microsoft bought it. And I didn't even mind the little label on the space key that says "Microsoft SwiftKey". But the new toolbar is horrific. First there is an ugly square button on the left (btw... it doesn't even match any of the keyboard themes) for Bing. Bing. Really? The one search engine that no one likes. And also there is no way to remove the button or even allow you to change it to a real search engine. The center of the toolbar now has a border which is ugly and they added an icon menu on the right that doesn't even do everything the original toolbar could do and now I have to press another button. Stop forcing Bing on people and don't fix what isn't broke. I'm praying this is just a nightmare and that everything will go back to normal by the next update or I'm shopping for a new keyboard. Addendum… You made the button a little more theme-friendly, but I still don't want it. And if you read EVERY other review since you added it, I am clearly not alone. Nobody wants Bing and NO ONE wants to be forced into it. Everyone has their preferred search engine. This is also why so many people are switching to Mac. No one wants to be forced into anything. This is wrong! Fix it! Update: Increasing to 3 stars as they at least have an option to remove that dumb button to that search engine that no one likes. But stop making changes now! Just fix the bugs and be done with it.

I love this app buuuutttttt......... I love SwiftKey, and have had it for years now, buuuutttttt... Every now and then it seems like it forgets all words lol. For instance I will just type and show you the ridiculous predictions it makes... Seeley is they beat ladybirds applications I have asked to be ony phone fit this looks (years) Brevard it is bets than any other keyboards I have ever been able Fri use that actually does what I need it to do. Thus is turning out to be a bad example of the ridiculous words of will change my round into.... Sooooo, what I just typed (or tried to) is "SwiftKey is the best keyboard application I have allowed to be on my phone for this long (years) because it is better than any other keyboards I have ever been able to use that actually does what I need it to do. This is turning out to be a bad example of the ridiculous words it will change my words into"... You get the point. Just wonder why it seems to forget my words at random times. Makes typing longer and more difficult when I have to re-type every word over and over and OVER AGAIN. But other than those random points where it re-learns my style or regular English (lol), I do love this app.

Need predictive engine and swipe prediction and accuracy update. Needs an update to the machine learning algorithms to optimize the space bar triggered predictions in a sentence, the "recognized/remembered word" pattern used by the predictive algorithmic engine and swipe prediction and choice word accuracy update. The Swiping prediction accuracy targets and places words that have not been swiped across at all as its auto imputed at the end of swiped or even typed word. But also, the auto-completion of the short hand typing and AI's choices of using the correct word via the space bar "finish my word prediction" or the proper word being ignored completely. These issues have not been addressed in totality and the obvious wording that is generated in all methods have severely degraded and at times spell out completely wrong words with letters you didn't come close to Swiping across. This causes all kinds of mistakes in texts and emails and social media that look almost juvenile. Please just update that at minimum of nothing else.

Takes up most of the iPad sceen- can’t switch keyboards easily.. Needs option to be more compact with number row. Once you change to Swiftkey, you have to hold a button down (not marked with a keyboard of anything) and choose “next keyboard”. It should have a button dedicated to changing keyboards, or allow you to do the hold button thing and pick the keyboard you want. Dictation doesn’t work currently. You hit the mic and it takes you to a black screen with a “tap here to go back” in the upper right corner. Nothing to tap. You have to force close, it then shows you the dictation screen when you go back to imessage app, but isn't doing anything. It shows the microphone white, but it isn't recording. If you tap the mic it takes you to the black page with the "tap here to go back (still with nothing to tap). Used Swiftkey exclusively for several years but gave up using it a few years ago out of disappointment.

Just one issue. It's a great keyboard, and I like using it. Oftentimes, though, it takes up way too much of my phone or tablet screen. At times I'm unable to click on a "Next" or "Save" button on a website, because there is no way to move or collapse this keyboard. (I think that collapsing down arrow at the bottom right doesn't always work.) I'm using it now, horizontally, on a fifth Gen iPad mini, to type this review and it is taking up more than half of my screen space. Either the developers should shrink this somewhat, or they should give users a way to do it, imo. I'm typing this review and had to scroll down to see what I'm typing because the keyboard was blocking my view. By the way, I removed the number row (which I really like having) and the menu and whatever else I could think of, and this keyboard is still just way too big. :(

Yay it's back!. I'm just so happy that this is back on iOS! This is my default keyboard and I've been using it for years. I was very sad when it was off the app store and I am just so glad it's back! I love the option to add a number line and the fact that I don't have to switch keyboards when typing in all the languages I know. The Apple stock keyboard doesn't have any of these features (I know they have multilingual typing for some languages, but none for the ones I use). I was worried that when I get a new iPhone, I would have to use Gboard in order to get multilingual typing. I downloaded Gboard and just found it to be so bad. I even considered reverting to the Apple stock keyboards (where I'd constantly be switching keyboards) since Gboard was terrible for me. Now I can continue using SwiftKey, even when I get a new iPhone! Thank you for being back!

Sometimes works correctly. This app is great to be able to design your own keyboard and enjoy the swipe feature... when it wants to work! I tell my friends when they see my custom keyboard on my iPhone, with swipe, to download this application. But I won’t if it isn’t working correctly and will only cause others technological issues as well. I find myself C O N S T A N T L Y rebooting my phone or messing with the application itself to try to figure out why the swipe feature is in fact not working. Especially when I need it to work, trying to send something quickly and efficiently which is why I utilize this keyboard as a tool almost 24/7. The only thing is the mistakes with the functionality of the swipe keyboard itself is making me want to look into other options because the keyboard won’t work 50% of the time. I just rebooted my phone to fix the issue, and it lasted about 5 minutes, or a couple of texts to be accurate, and then the issue began again! If you could fix the bugs that would be great. Thank you! You will he keep me as a user and I will continue to promote this keyboard.

Good as they get!. Been using this app for year's now and would not send a message without it for the simple fact of the time alone it saves you compared to other apps or even apples that comes with your phone can not compare and can not stand when my phone will change over to one of the others that is in my phone like I am not going to notice that it is not SwiftKey. This app bar none hands down is the best free app out there for messaging, if you are looking for a messaging app don't waste your time looking any further and download this one now I promise you will not regret it. It also has themes I almost forgot to mention so you can customize your keyboard to your liking which is neat specially during holidays they have themes for each holiday and all free and who doesn't like free. Hope this helps someone who is considering this free app download with their decision!

I love swift key but..... So I think I have had swift key since the iPhone 6 came out so definitely a long time and I loved it no complaints up until now. I downloaded it originally because of the swipe feature which of course is amazing. But lately for the last couple months there has been a bug or something making the keyboard not function as well as before. Now when I swipe text the keyboard goes up and down slightly and when that happens if I'm in the middle of a word the swipe will cancel and I have to do it again. Also it is just so slow. You know how your phone acts soooooooo slow right before it's about to die? That's how this keyboard is like even with full battery. It's just so annoying because I downloaded this so it can be easier to text but it's been awful lately. I didn't say anything a couple months again because things happen and break but eventually theres a new update with bug fixes. This has not yet happened and I am disappointed. I'm gonna look for another keyboard use that wont cause me these issues. I really hope you guys get it together soon! Would love to use again and provide a good review when it functions well

Used to be great, now not so much. Great if you want more typos. I’ve had Swift key for a while. I used the love it! The swiping, the customization, the autocorrect, everything. However, recently something changed, and SwiftKey has been causing me more typos than when I use my apple keyboard. For whatever reason it stopped autocorrecting a lot of the time, BUT autocorrecting me when I don’t want it to. It’s really annoying At first I thought it was a combination of my horrendous spelling and mediocre typing skills. But recently my Apple keyboard switched on, and I noticed how much faster and correctly I was typing. It was like shedding the skin that is swiftkey. I realized that it was swiftkey and not me (okay maybe a little me, but the apple keyboard is able to keep up better with and for me). One feature that I do like is the emoji searching (something apple doesn’t have) . They could improve the results though. After getting really annoyed I finally deleted Swiftkey, I’ll see if I end up downloading it again idk

Really.. So I've used this app for some years. I have since switched to iPhone and all the keyboards I purchased when using samsung are no longer in my account. I can't restore them? This was before all the keyboards were free. I purchased several and I would either like the keyboards or my money. Additionally, the "contact us" within the app is a scam. Everytime I try to submit a question it gives and error message about my connection. I take it they don't want complaints. If you are thinking of getting this app, sure why not, it's all free now. If you purchased keyboards in the past and can't find them or access them in your account consider it money down the drain.. !!!! Update: someone did get back to me about this problem. And basically said that iPhones have limited capabilities on the keyboards which is ridiculous. And no I still couldn't get the ones I purchased on Samsung cause of this limited capabilities. And apparently no one is working to increase the capabilities so we could have more crea4ive keyboards instead of 12 they offer.

Great app, 2 major problems.. I love this app and all of the features it has, especially the slide-to-text feature. It works very well and I use it a lot. Although, there are a couple of things that really, really annoy me about this app. 1. When you misspell something, it doesn't underline the word in red telling you it's misspelled. The auto-correct function does not do as well as the standard, Apple keyboard does, even when texting normal opposed to the sliding feature. 2. You cannot use Siri to type for you with this keyboard. On the standard apple keyboard, there is a microphone icon in the bottom right corner of the keyboard where you can speak and it will type for you, SwiftKey does not offer this feature unfortunately, which is very annoying to me and seems like a main feature they would have. Overall, this application is great and I use it daily. I urge SwiftKey to fix these few issues and I think it would put them on the top!

Has potential, needs work. I see swift key has been added to the App Store. I love how you can flow type in the big key conformation on iPad and how you can have a shared clipboard between your Apple and Microsoft devices. However some important things need to change before it’s useable for me. The biggest issue is that there aren’t any alternate keyboard conformations like on the default iPad keyboard or the Windows 11 virtual keyboard. This problem is made even worse by the fact that it feels like you’re locked into SwiftKey, unlike the default iPad keyboard. You can only change keyboards by holding down on the emoji keyboard and going to next keyboard. And then it’s random what keyboard you go to. Then there’s the problem of not having a keyboard dismiss button like on the iPad and Windows 11 keyboards so you can’t make the keyboard go away. My final complaint is that the keys on the keyboard are a lot shorter than the iPad and Windows ones so it just doesn’t feel natural. TLDR: I want to use this keyboard because it brings great features to the table but I can’t because it’s lacking in so many basic features

Fantastic app. Great, smooth, and very well designed, user friendly keyboard. My only problem is autocorrect, autocorrect is great with English but is awful with Arabic. It's always changing things that I typed correctly to weird unintelligible words that aren't even close to what I wanted to say so what I send ends up being gibberish. To be fair, fixing autocorrect for Arabic would be too much to ask because the lexicon is diverse and very regional; all I'm asking for is the ability to turn off autocorrect for a certain language by itslef. I can't give up the English autocorrect but I also can't live with the Arabic one... I hope that option is not too difficult for the developers to add. I feel bad for giving the app 3 stars but having to manually re-correct two to three words of every sentence I type is quite annoying and I feel like 3 stars is the best way to get through the developers. Will update my review as soon as the option to turn off autocorrect for certain languages is added, I check for updates of this app very frequently

Yall broke autocorrect. Firsrlt, happy yall picked the app bakx up its been my main keyboard for years. However with the most recent update, (and all the blatant typos in this review are being left that way to show you the issue), autocorrect has been probatic. So essentially when autocorrect fixes a word and you backspace back to it, it reverts it to what it originally was. This is good because autocorrect isn't perfect and this is what it always has done. But when you tap on the word that it originally corred in the word suggestions list it doesn't fill it back in. On top of that every interaction with your keyboard afterwards is skewed in a way that I can't show you and you'd likely have to experience it yourself. I don't know if this issue is consistent across all devjxss. I use an iPhone 13 pro running the current latest version of ios. That's all I got for you. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Minor issue that has me searching for another keyboard. **EDIT** PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!! It's been long enough. It's only gotten worse and this keyboard is becoming unuseable. I don't like any other keyboard but I've started having to use other ones because this one has become so horrendously glitchy. I can't type 3 words or tap an emoji from my recently used before it glitches out and resets, not to mention the times it just doesn't show up at all except for a blank screenface. Removed stars until this gets fixed, if it does. **ORIGINAL POST** I've been using SwiftKey for years and it's THE BEST!! I really can't find a better keyboard. However, for the last maybe week or so, it keeps glitching while I'm typing. Sometimes the keyboard takes too long to show up in the first place and then it keeps like "resetting" while typing every few seconds, so I have to wait while it "reloads" before I can continue typing, even when typing something as quick and short as "I'm almost there". I thought maybe it needed to be updated but there's no new update. So I'm hoping this is just an issue that will be fixed in a new update quickly. I just tried a few other keyboards and none of them are nearly as good, and the default iPhone keyboard is crazy awkward with how it's set up for emojis and punctuation.

HUGE potential to be THE keyboard of choice for everyone. Integrated with Bing's relationship with ChatGPT, this keyboard has incredible potential! Unfortunately, right now, its swiping and dictation technologies are terribly and painfully inaccurate, even when swiping slowly with purposeful pauses on the keys you want it to use. You must have the ability to be patient in its learning curve and trust that the Microsoft team wants to get it right. They have yet to harness the power of their AI with the swiping and dictating. Once they wake up to that power to have AI look at the context of each word in a sentence and/or paragraph and get the words, spelling, grammar, and punctuation correct... wow, there won't be a keyboard that can touch it. That's what I'm going for. In the meantime, I'm pushing forward with the huge productivity losses I'm currently experiencing - it's painful. This message has taken 15 minutes to write due to all the frustrating errors it's making. Keyboard swiping has always been somewhat inaccurate because it places nonsensical words in place of what you really intended and autocorrect has a bad reputation for changing the words you WANTED after you have moved onto a few words after the fact. AI can fix that if Microsoft hasn't already realized that fact.

Not helpful anymore. So, I initially installed this app because the regular iPhone keyboard was terrible at predicting my Spanglish and because of the beautiful choices of aesthetics it provided. I’m bilingual and I’m constantly switching between the two. Swiftkey was excellent at first doing this, but as time passed not only did the bilingual perk went away, it doesn’t even predict correctly for just one language. It constantly suggests words that I do not use and it doesn’t improve because it does not add the words I’m using. Also, I reserve my right to cuss and for some God forsaken reason it won’t let me do that either it just switches it with another similar completely unrelated word. I decided to give the standard iPhone keyboard a try and it just turns out it is either pretty much the same, similar or better than Swiftkey was at first. Nevertheless, I don’t need the ongoing struggle Swiftkey was giving me so I deleted the app and stayed with the original. Hence, this review because I’m open to coming back if the developers fix all of the issues I’ve been and everyone’s been complaining about.

Its a shame Microsoft abandoned Word Flow. The swipe prediction of SwiftKey pales in comparison to Word Flow. Word flow would let you swipe fast and would recognize every word...with SwiftKey it doesn't recognize words if you swipe fast, so you have to spend time swiping slow or spend a lot of time correcting. SwiftKey's only saving grace is being able to swipe complete a word from mid word to correct it. however that doesn't make up for its faults. Also they need to add an apostrophe to the first page punctuation button. It's a shame Microsoft abandoned word flow for this. Also if this program want backed by Microsoft I wouldn't be using it.... It REQUIRES FULL ACCESS which I'm hesitant to give even though it's backed by Microsoft. Who knows what data could be getting mined from what you type, that Microsoft isn't aware of. Either way, with all that said, it's the best option on the market since Microsoft took down word flow, so I use it.... But it's far from perfect. Maybe one day Microsoft will start up word flow again or integrate it into SwiftKey... One can only hope.

Not as good as it used to be. I wanted to love the keyboard but it's just not as good as I remember. The auto correct is not great and is annoyingly percistant. It will correct a word after a comma, and then if it corrects a word incorrectly, you go back and fix the word, but after you tyle the comma again it forgets you just fixed the word and incorrectly corrects it again and again. When using the swipe keyboard it's annoying that it adds the space immediately after you type a word, and if you swipe the wrong word, you have to backspace through every letter of the word instead of pressing the backspace button once to get rid of the entire word and swipe again. Completely ruins the flow. And because it inputs a space after you swipe, the word suggestions only suggest the next word instead of suggesting possible corrections for a word you swiped incorrectly. Also I don't know why but I somehow miss letters on the top of the keyboard all the time and it messes up my words, I think it's because they keyboard thinks I'm too close to the word suggestion bar.

Thank God they decided to give SwiftKey another chance. They discontinued the iOS version of SwiftKey last winter, and I was incredibly disappointed. I was a pre-Microsoft SwiftKey user and had been loving it since, but the excessive amount of bugs forced me to switch. I recently realized they decided to continue support after pushback, and I’m so glad. Yes there are times when I wished there was less Microsoft bloat, but it does what I need it to. It’s consistently able to predict what I’m typing or sliding, and I'm enjoying using it right now. It also has multi language support, which is awesome because I frequently type in Spanish. It's predictions are excellent, and I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an alternate keyboard. Dont even get me started on the number row, such an awesome feature. Also the slide punctuation is great. Easy 5 stars as long as they continue support.

Needs improvement although best for me. I tried Word Flow and Gboard keyboards before I settled on this keyboard. Word Flow is deprecated so there is no point discussing it. Gboard has a couple of features that are nicer than this keyboard - example, searching emojis. However, the predictive capabilities of this keyboard are much better than Gboard or any other keyboard including Apple's built-in keyboard. This is why I keep using it. The negatives of this keyboard for me are: 1) Inability to search for emojis. 2) The predictive text bar doesn't show up in some situations but I can't tell what the reason is. 3) The emojis move around - especially the first part and if you try to send multiple emojis of the same type you may end up sending some other emojis if you keep tapping in the same spot. It doesn't make sense for the frequently used emojis to move while you are using them. 4) The period key doesn't have a single quote option. I find this annoying as I use it all the time. It would be nice to be able to customize what punctuation options are available on the period.

SwiftKey is a slow learner. I had Word Flow on my old phone and when that died, I had to find another swipe keyboard because apparently Word Flow isn't supported any longer (you could still use it if you'd already downloaded it though). I've been using SwiftKey for a few weeks now and it's so frustrating! You would think after that amount of time it would have 'learned' by now that I'm trying to type 'and,' not 'abs' or 'Ave,' or 'neighbor' instead of 'Bridgette' or 'beige.' Its predictive text capability is absolute garbage. A lot of the time it comes up with completely nonsensical words that I've never used and certainly aren't commonly used in wider social circles than mine. I tried to give it some time to see if it would 'remember' which words and phrases I use the most so its predictive text would become more accurate, but that hasn't been the case. I spend more time correcting its mistakes or just typing out individual letters (which obviously isn't the point of a swipe keyboard) than I do getting accurate swipes. I'll be looking for another keyboard and can't wait to stop using this one.

Long, long time user. App is not as good as it used to be.. I've been using SwiftKey for many years now. I've reached almost a million auto corrects and completed words. First, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE ADD THE OPTION TO HIDE THE PERIOD KEY IF YOU'RE USING THE SPACEBAR TO ADD A QUICK PERIOD. The app is a good alternative to the stock keyboard, but lately it has not been correcting obviously misspelled words. For example, trying to type "is" and accidentally typing "ks". Even when you block a word from being predicted again, it will keep showing up. I do like the prediction feature. It works pretty well for me and I find it very useful. Sometimes I don't even need to continue typing, I can use the prediction feature to type entire sentences. Honestly, my biggest problem with the keyword is lack of customization. Not in terms of appearance, but functionality. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE PERIOD KEY. You should be able to create your own layout, or at least have some control over the layout. Please, devs, please put as much effort into the app as you used to. AND PLEASE LET ME REMOVE THE PERIOD KEY!

Frustrated. I like the look of this swype app and I like that it allows to have multiple languages with ease of transition directly on the same screen but it has quite a few flaws. If you want to swipe two letter word and the letters are close to each other, it won't swype. It's ability to predict your words is inconsistent. Short cuts to punctuation marks are practically none existent (unless I don't know them) I hate switching to the number keypad every time I want to use a symbol. The shortcuts they do have (to the right are a pain to use. With the previous app I used, each letter could be pressed for a second longer and it would instead display a corresponding symbol. For example hold g and you'd get a parentheses. Hold j and your get a colon, etc. Also the app would recognize when you'd swype names from your contacts and it allowed you to save words you want to app to recognize. I also don't know how to switch to the regular Apple keyboard from this apps keyboard. I love swyping but this app sometimes makes it frustrating to swype.

Wonderful Now. I’ve been using SwiftKey for a while on my Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. For some reason recently the keyboard kept switching to the default iOS keyboard and I couldn’t figure out why. It would take me multiple tries to get it to revert back to the SwiftKey keyboard and every so often when I would open a new app that I needed the keyboard for it would revert back to the iOS default keyboard. I kept trying to figure out why and I was looking up solutions and I couldn’t figure anything out until I found this post on Reddit and someone suggested checking for an update. So, I did that and of course there was an update. I don’t understand why it was never updated automatically because I have it set to update my apps automatically. Anyway after updating the keyboard is working better than perfect it’s back to normal there’s neek no reverting back to the default ios keyboard and I’m very happy with everything. Wonderful keyboard give it a try especially on iOS. Very happy with it

Not as useful to me as word flow. 1) Misses a lot of words; for instance i can't even simply type "you're" (i don't rely on auto correct and as you can see from this, Swype doesn't properly capitalize "i" like word flow did, it also doesn't space words properly but it does get apostrophes right. 2) Requires full keyboard access just to use the swiping feature. Blah. 3) There's a third thing but i forgot what it is since these keyboards mess up my train of thought with their problems. Word flow didn't do that. Yeah, i would use word flow still if it worked on my iPhone x but i had some issues so tried to check this out. Back to Swype i guess. Edit: The “team” responded to my review after SIX YEARS. As we know, MS often changes the features and abilities of apps, adding and removing features as they go along like they’re throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. The point being a review from six years ago is hardly relevant, why are you wasting time now addressing only the smallest issue I brought up (#2) in the review? I’ll add a new negative note that I thought of it, the amount of space available for your app is reduced because this keyboard uses more space. Some apps don’t like that, putting things you need to see while typing i’m the covered area. It appears this is not configurable in the keyboard to turn off unused features if you’re only trying to get swiping, but Apple includes that now (except for the aforementioned ability to recognize and capitalize “I”).

I love SwiftKey...but omg. I have been using this app since it first came out. I don't even know how long. It's the only texting app I have ever used....android and apple. I think it's the best, I've recommended it countless times over the years. Whenever I get a new phone it's the first app I download. Basically, I just can't type using other keyboards! That's what I want to say first. However in the last week or so, including right at this very minute, it is like this extra bar pops up ABOVE where the text is predicted and it makes the keyboard move up and down and blink. So whatever you're typing will get messed up since the keys all move horizontally. It is quite literally going to cause me to have a meltdown. 😂 The worst trouble for me personally is on FB Messenger. It happens like, every five seconds. I highly recommend this app. I pray to every God that Apple isn't making other keyboards glitch on purpose. Theirs is awful for me. Please please please to any developer reading this 😂Fix it. Please. And I still love SwiftKey.

Not perfect, but I'll never go back to the stock keyboard.. I've been using SwiftKey for about 3 years and have seen its ups and downs. It started out with occasional glitches that would cause the keyboard to close and swap back to the stock keyboard until I reopened whatever app I was using, but even then, the functionality was worth the minor inconvenience. Nowadays, it's 99% stable and its predictive engine knows me so well that I never want to go back to the stock keyboard. The designs look great (I've been using Shooting Stars for years now), the swipe typing is super efficient, and its subtle modification of my typing map makes my accuracy spot on whether I'm typing with one or two hands. The only remaining glitch is that sometimes, the text doesn't continue to scroll down, so I have to manually scroll down or at worst, switch keyboards and back, but the amount of time saved by its features makes it well worth it. Try it out for a week or two and you'll fall in love with it.

Great for Bilinguals, Custimizability, and Emojis/Gifs. I love this keyboard because I often text some of my international friends using words that even though I type in English, are not part of the dictionary, and this keyboard catches on pretty quick. I also love that it's very customizable in that I can keep or get rid of toolbars, the emoji button, numbers on long press, etc. I think the GIF search is also very useful. While it's not absolutely perfect yet, since sometimes it fails to correct my words, or corrects them to a misspelling that I tend to make. Recently, I've run across an issue where the haptic feedback stops working if I'm typing too fast which was not an issue when I was using the IPhone X. But I think that these issues are being worked on and the keyboard seems to work better and better with time.

Mission accomplished. OK so I'm only 10 minutes into using the app and I already have a fully customized "Rick and morty" theme for my keyboard and I've utilized a couple other tweaks the app allowed me to apply. Ex. Lighter to no outline around each key, customize color of pop up text. And that was what I set out for on this search for a keyboard app. I have grammar LG and typewise installed too because I'm looking for the one that would allow me to get that great keyboard. At first my review was based on the theme customization but now that I'm typing I have some notes on keyboard intelligence. Auto correct is applying it's corrective and learning methods very smoothly. I have to correct it'I s auto's one. Once or twice but then it catolalogs it permanently and adapts to your slang and abbreviations. Layout is nice too. Nothing too new but that's fine with me. The only thing that's annoying is the page(or the keyboard) not scrolling down as I continue to write. So I'm writing and the line bars start to descend and the keyboard blocks it so I have to manually scroll the page up. Other than that, solid app.

Love!!!. I don't know what I'd do without this app!!! Actually Yea I do!!! I'd be spending a hell of a lot more time typing!!! Thank you SwiftKey!! The only disadvantage is not having the option to go into SwiftKey settings to view/edit the "dictionary" that is automatically created specifically as I use the App! I'll keep checking back after any updates the app has just in case this feature is added!! Or if there is an option to do so but I've somehow over looked it, please let me know!! There's quite a few words I've misspelled while rushing that saved in my "dictionary" of words, some aren't even words!! Very frustrating having one of those pop up several times while I'm typing! Even worse when I correctly spell words but SwiftKey will change/substitute it to my accidental jibberish 😳😐!! Now these nonsense words are piling up and popping up way too often!!! Very frustrating! I still feel it's a five star app just give us the option to edit our dictionary!! Thanks SwiftKey!!!

Long Time User, Mostly Good. They fixed it ! Microsoft did the usual “let’s see how much uproar this causes” and then when it was more than they wanted - the reverted the “permanent bing icon” feature. Now, you can hide the button in settings. Nice. It’s back to being 100 times better than the Stock iOS keyboard (come on, Apple…) . OLD REVIEW: I’ve used Swiftkey as long as I can remember, instead of the stock apple keyboard. That all ended today - when I saw the ugly and major privacy-concerning “Bing” button that is permanently attached to the keyboard in a prominent location. That’s a deal breaker for me. I like search and AI as much as anyone, and I understand the hooplah around ChatGPT and Bing, but the minute Microsoft and Swiftkey even HINT that my personal typings are even CLOSE to a new and groundbreaking (see “risky”) AI search platform - that’s a hard dealbreaker for me. I uninstalled Swiftkey within 30 minutes of seeing the new “Bing” button and seeing there was no way to turn it off. Goodbye Swiftkey, thanks for the memories. Shame Bing and ChatGPT are cosying up to user’s personal data.

Bummer keyboard. I had a keyboard that swyped better than this one until it continuously froze. It guessed my words accurately and didn't change my typed words after a second time. This app is a let down, the amount of times I have to retype a word because it wants to supply a different word is ridiculous. I've had this keyboard for a few months because it's the only option aside from manually typing like everyone else, but it still feels like a waste of time. I give it two stars since it still cuts down the amount of time I could've spent putting in the text individually, but there have been a number of times that I spent more time trying to get this keyboard to work and I doubled the time that should've been non existent. Really disappointed. My expectations were too high, I guess because the other keyboard put in the word I needed and I didn't have to be so concise, on the other hand, when I am annoyingly concise with running my thumb across letters to be accurate, the keyboard doesn't pick up the word 🙄 this rating has a third of the original words, I had to delete the other two thirds and retype them. I continue to look for another keyboard that's accurate and efficient. If they update this one , that would be nice (:

could be better. could be better if there was more minimal themes, there needs to be a minimal X theme. also variations of the nickel theme with different coloured letters. not everyone likes bright flashy keyboards but I do like subtle highlights. would also like the dictionary to be more customisable; i can't remove the word "Park" from my dictionary. tech support can't help either, it's very annoying.

Brilliant Keyboard. I've been using SwiftKey for probably about two years now. I find it very easy and reliable to use. The 'Flow' feature, allowing me to slide my fingers across the keyboard to spell words, rather than tapping on every key makes typing so much quicker. Now, with the ability to customise it by using one of the photos I took myself (a brilliant sunset framed by the silhouette of trees) just makes it look magical. Congratulations to the great work of the developers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💫

Needs a quick fix. I love this keyboard so so much, i can't ever go back to any other keyboard. But now when I have iphone 11 pro and they don't have 3d touch, it's kind of sad that now i can't move the course around like i used to with my iphone xs max. But with the regular keyboard you can do it while pressing the space bar. I hope you'll fix this and i can keep in using SwiftKey whit no problems.

Minor niggles spoil it. Gave this a try because I need a way of removing the enormous 'free draw' key that appeared. Started out OK but there's a persistent notification to grant the keyboard full access. I didn't want to do that but there was no way of removing the notification, which on a landscape ipad is inconveniently placed just above the delete key, ensuring you accidentally bring up the option every time you mis-hit delete (which for those with chubby digits like me, is a lot). It also has an auto-capitalization I couldn't get rid of. Regretfully deleted.

Best keyboard for iOS, hands down!. The prediction algorithm is amazing and accurate, emojis are easy to get to but most of all, the bilingual support is amazing! My only gripe with it is that when typing passwords or replying messages on the lock screen, it defaults to the stock keyboard. But that might be a iOS thing rather than a SwiftKey thing. Anyways great job peeps! Keep it up! :D

Great app, mostly. I get really frustrated because the app does not automatically recognise a period. Full stop. Can you please put in the option for the keyboard to automatically place a space after a period, and auto capital for the next sentence. Also find it tries to predict my next word before I put finger on the screen. Please just learn better from my using the app to get better at recognising how I type!

Good App, But.... I like this app, I've had to, since the Swype Keyboard is done and dusted. The annoying thing with this app, is when you write a word in a photo to post on FB, you add a dot at the end, and the last letter disappears. Why does it do that? And I would like it if the app would show up emojis for every word you type, also if you press and hold a letter, the JavaScript on the next keyboard page, would show up automatically, instead of you manually having to go in there to type it yourself.

Great Work. Great Smooth keyboard design, easy to use..... I wish to make one comment:-. I think it's time for a few more background choices please. Other than that, I definitely give It the 5 stars............

Amazing, works well. There is a bit of lag when loading the keyboard but I don't think it's because of SwiftKey, I think it's because of Apple. Swiping works well and seeing how many words you've written is an amazing feature.

New update is a pain. I love SwiftKey particularly the flow function (and the cool designs) but the new Toolbar update means most of the predictions for my next words are abbreviated with ellipses so I can't tell what word I'm choosing. I use this feature all the time it's very helpful but this makes it very difficult. It's a poorly thought out design, why can't that function be down the bottom with the rest of the options? Please change it back SwiftKey

Disabling Tap Map would be great.. I use this handy keyboard for two languages. Unfortunately due to holding my phone differently at various times my tap map goes haywire and it registers the wrong 'predicted' letters. Making a regular reset inevitable. Would be great to be able to disable the letter prediction on the keyboard as often it shows an r then types a t for example as it learned from my Tap Map.

Why so much information to protect privacy?. You asked for google access to prove my age to then ask for access to my emails?! What purpose would that be for? After that you asked me to prove my birthday... Sounds like you just wanted access to my emails I then want to look at your privacy statement and am intrusive third party cookie needs to be accepted first. I like your tool but your need for the personal information and your use of this party cookies may not out way the benefits you provide

Great But wont STOP changing. Fantastic keyboard that remember all my common works BUT. It always glitches out and will change back to apple default keyboard until you close it/clock off screen to hide it and then bring it back up again. If this would STOP happening 10p of times a day it would be be perfect. Fix this weird bug thankyou. Please note alot of reviews are the same issue as me. And no uninstalling etc DOES NOT WORK. Please stop telling us to do this it doesn't work

What changed?!. I've used SwiftKey since it was first released on iOS, and while there have been bugs to iron out over the years, I've never experienced so many issues with it as I have lately. I'm not sure what was changed, but everything I type is now absolutely riddled with errors. I have to go back and correct everything I type now (including this review) because something has gone very wrong. When typing, the word I want appears in the predictive text bar, but after clicking it to insert it, the incorrectly spelt word that I actually typed is inserted instead of the correctly spelt word I clicked in the prediction bar. My partner also uses SwiftKey and is experiencing the same issue. I'm not sure what changed but I wondered whether the devs changed the width/spacing of the boxes that words appear in within the predictive bar. If so, that might explain me consistly hitting the wrong button now or something. In any case, it has rendered the SwiftKey almost completely useless and its driving both of us crazy. I've persevered with the issue through multiple app updates now, hoping each time that the issue will be resolved, but that hasn't happened. After years of usage I'm about to start the hunt for another third party keyboard.

How can you know what to do!?. I’ve tried this three times over the years and every time I both rage out at its inability to not ignore its own preference when I respelled it’s mistaken autocorrect and firstly its preference for words that can’t be used more often. Who uses Mope more than Nope!? Never again, would rather hunt and peck at my keyboard, I end up doing it with Swype anyway. Also I love that the current ‘top’ review explains how your keyboard ‘drives them insane’. Your top review complains more than it compliments, even its subject is a backhanded compliment. Okay I’m done.

Was good until now. Been really enjoying this keyboard until the last iOS update - now it jitters and glitches so much, I’ve had to remove it and go back to the iOS keyboard. Last update from the Application Developers was 7 months ago, so looks like no-one works on this app. Don’t bother with it until they resolve this glitch bug as it makes the keyboard unusable.

It was good, but there is room for improvement.. Overall, the experience is satisfactory. However, the most significant issue is that if your phone rings or the screen goes off while you are composing, you will lose all of your text.

Awesome replscement for G Board with way better features, but.... This Keyboard is Awesome, hands down awesome. it has everything I could ever ask for in a smart iPhone keyboard and so much more. The AI features feel so nice, the quick access to my camera photos is very welcome and unique, the countless customisation options that really allow you to personalise it as your own are so great as well! But... well it's still a bit janky. mainly when it comes to autocorrect, sometimes I find extra spaces being inserted at random, it favours weird auto-corrections over others, and overall it's a bit of a mess. It's not a turn away though, that's for sure. Back to positives however, I must say I love how nicely it fits in with the apple UI. For example, in G Board the keyboard background can't use the same glass effect as the part of the keyboard at the bottom where the microphone button and globe button are, however this keyboard does use the same glass effect!

Better than built in for iOS. Even though iOS had this swiping feature built in now, there are still benefits with SwiftKey. ° the number row on primary keyboard saves a lot of time ° being able to use multiple languages in one messages or email without switching keyboards is stellar (Though, I personally wish it weren't limited to two). ° I like the themes - it's a small thing, I know, but I love having the red keyboard. Only flaw I've found is that, in this latest version, I can't remove false learnings. I press on the suggested word and it offers the option to remove it, but it never actually does. So certain words that I've accidentally created in the past can not be removed from predictions.

One glaring fault. Great keyboard but there is one glaring fault they have overlooked. The jet liars remembers what you type (i.e. it shows up in the predictive section above the keyboard) for anything you type whilst in private mode. So if you want to buy a surprise for your friend but not let them know, swift keyboard could spoil the surprise. This is a deal breaker. It obviously doesn’t know when you are using private mode. I use it a lot to read newspapers (as some limit your free articles)

Legends. I have full trust with Microsoft now I have this cool west coast eagle keyboard and I have game pass I just don't know what to say you guys are the best platform out here right now thank you ( sorry if I'm not understanding right now I am just speechless I can type so fast)

Updates - SwiftKey not recognised as default keyboard keyboard. Anyone else have the issue where after an update IOS doesn't recognise it as a keyboard but uses the default apple one? It's listed in keyboards as the default. Even switching off Full Access and back on again doesn't make a difference yet it recognises SwiftKey as I write this review but not on anything else. Only way to fix this is to uninstall it and reinstall it. Second update where this has happened - really annoying 🙄

Adapts to my typing!. This is my favourite keyboard. I've used it for a few years now and all the other ones just frustrate me! It's the only iPhone keyboard I can use without having to look at what keys I'm pressing. When my phone was running out of space, SwiftKey started crashing a lot. Then it disappeared one day. However, I found that I was making SO MANY typing mistakes with the iPhone's default keyboard! I had to press each key carefully or else it would be typo spaghetti! On reinstalling SwiftKey and going through the settings, I realised that it was because SwiftKey was adjusting its own map to match where my fingers tend to press. Therefore, I don't have to look too carefully at the keyboard because the keyboard has also adapted to my fingers. All other keyboards are extremely frustrating in comparison! Although ultimately, I'll always prefer a good ol' physical keyboard! And I would actually love a phone that came with a physical tactile keyboard that slides out from under the screen or something! Even if it was slightly fatter and heavier 😆 My only complaint is that it doesn't have support for Chinese! Nor does it have support for many other Asian languages - not Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Khmer. Other than English, I mainly use Simplified Chinese Pinyin and I don't understand why it hasn't been included agter all these years, especially being owned by Microsoft who otherwise have extensive language resources.

Favourite keyboard!. Best keyboard ever! Incorporates two languages into one, remembers and learns certain spelling etc. AND to top it off, incorporating the Swype feature, along with other handy features; (i.e. double tap caps lock to transform current word into all caps). Lastly, it's free and completely free! A+++++ Job well done guys at SwiftKey! Thank you!

Broken and abandoned. Have used and loved for several years now. As of the last update me and many people across the internet have had it regularly crashing, with the only “fix” being to reinstall it. This saves it for just under a month before it becomes unusable again. I’m done with artificially inflating the installs for an abandoned app, don’t install it.

I love this app. It’s amazing; I love how easy it is to use. The designs are all really pretty and the fact that you can add your own from your camera roll is a bonus. It’s great for when you’re feeling lazy and can’t be bothered to move your thumb all the way across the keyboard, just swipe across it instead!

Could be the best except for one massive flaw. Great keyboard, best swipe functionality, it would be better than the stock ios keyboard except it gets into a very frustrating state where it deletes words that you have already completed when using the word suggestion. Please fix this annoying bug. Back to the awful stock ios keyboard for now.

Excellent until it’s not. This keyboard is everything I want; it just doesn’t perform. The keyboard constantly gets replaced by the original iOS keyboard, and customer support doesn’t have an answer 2 months later. Letters drop out from time to time; for example, earlier today the letter ‘N’ stopped working, so I had to switch to the default keyboard and back again. This has now happened so many times that I am uninstalling until a fix is in.

Suggestion. I really love this keyboard, it's so simple and easy to use. Just a suggestion though, could you make it so that instead of the number bar at the top, you have the numbers as alternative keys on the QWERTY line (top line)? It's just that the number bar makes the key board too tall. It'd be nice to be able to hold down the keys to type in alternative keys instead of toggling between the letters and symbols pages every time.

Great. I usually use it all the time. It's great. But the latest update just stays and won't complete (9.35), so it is now useless. I can't even delete it. Managed to download it, but it is playing up a bit. Needs updating. The latest Apple update has deleted all keyboards (including English) but one.

READ THIS FOR GLITCH SOLUTION. Hey everyone, Recently after latest ios update the keyboard has started to glitch between the default ios keyboard and SwiftKey when typing which causes issues. In order to fix this go to iPhone's keyboard settings and remove all other keyboards by clicking on keyboards > edit and only keep SwiftKey. This will solve the glitching problem. Hope it helped.

Swiftkey is Back!. Highly recommend app. Thank you for coming back to the App Store. When the app was pulled I feared that I wouldn't be able to use SwiftKey in future when I upgraded. I'm a long term SwiftKey user and it's an excellent app.

Been using it for years. Been using it for years and it simply beats any standard keyboard!.. But recently switching to an iPhone XR I'm seeing things I don't like, for example the blank space below the keyboard with the globe icon to switch keyboards which I always accidentally end up clicking on and I'm missing the option of being able to resize your keyboard!

Still worse than useless. Further update. Swiftkey is infuriating. It makes the most inappropriate changes, no matter what one does to try to stop it. For example, it changes 'in' to 'on' every, single time. SwiftKey is quick but dimwitted. SwiftKey is brainless. SwiftKey is moronic. I wanted to like Swiftkey so much. I have been struggling with it for the last two years. No more. Finally, I’ve deleted it. It’s impossible to train or teach. It’s impossible to remove the absurd replacement words that Swiftkey inserts. Here’s just one, telling example. I typed ‘not’. Swiftkey immediately changed ‘not’ to ‘nifty’.

Almost there. The keyboard is ok. I find it’s predictive feature better than the standard Apple keyboard. I seem to find the predictions are not as accurate on the Apple keyboards since the latest updates. I downloaded swift for the swipe function. Unfortunately it’s not smooth at all and gboard is far better. For regular touch typing I stick to Apple. Far more accurate than all the 3rd party keyboards

Great keyboard, but!!!!. Great keyboard. A load better than the apple default keyboard. The latest version of this app is not tailored to iphone se screen size. Predictive text now too small and some predicted words can not even be shown. There is lots of wasted space on the right side of the predicted words that could be utilised. There is one major feature missing. The two-finger trackpad which apple now has on its default keyboard is not in SwiftKey. Put that option in and you get 5/5 stars from me.

Pretty good app but... ..could be better. Autocorrect and multi-lingual support is pretty amazing, the number row, emojis and gif searching, clipboard saving, full stop on the main keyboard all feel like massive improvements over the Apple keyboard But accuracy feels like a big step back. There are many times I feel like I don't type as well and constantly miss letters, switch to the normal keyboard and have no problem.. some other things - There's no way to edit themes. If you feel you made a theme too dark or light or want to change a colour or background or name, you have to remake it With the number row on (which is super useful) it seems autocorrect has no use if you accidentally type a number in a word, you have to tap in the autocorrect field for it to correct a number in a word It takes 2 taps to search for emojis (again super useful). I wish I could just press + once, start typing and it starts searching, then press < and start typing to go back to normal again Apostrophe in the full stop hold-menu would be really handy Again, accuracy. I prefer this keyboard but Apple's just feels way more accurate. I almost never miss on theirs

A glitch. Been using this for years but at the moment it’s playing up always glitching keyboard jumps and when typing plays up it’s getting pretty annoying never had an issue till last week I’ll have it on numbers try to type numbers in and will just go back to alphabet by itself or I’ll try type a word and coz it’s jumps word won’t type properly

Annoying bugs. Been using this app forever but an update about a month ago made it really weird and glitchy to switch to emojis, I have to basically switch keyboards three times to make it work. Don’t know what happened and seriously considering switching to gramarly

Great but could use some small improvements. I would love it if I could see the special characters as long presses on the keys rather than switching to a whole new mode every time. Also, it would be nice if the keys could be made smaller. With the number row enabled, it's very large.

Crashing. Something is wrong with previous and this version. Been using this app for years, even before it was bought by MS. As of recently (maybe couple of weeks) it keeps crashing in most apps, sometimes it'll come back and work for 10 mins then crash again. Restarting phone only helped sometimes. Please fix it ms.

Picks up random words from surrounds. The latest weird glitch is that, if I am typing and there are people around me from other nationalities, suddenly my word suggestions as I type become something I've never typed but what they might? Name places become Asian or African, for instance. This app has become glitchier as time has gone by. I read reviews and if they aren't good, I won't update - and haven't - so it's surprising that the problems others got after updating are now plaguing my keyboard. I disabled any way of updating unless manually but still these problems appear. The latest is that when I put in a question mark, the preceding word as well as the question mark deletes. Fixing what isn't broken is rarely good... It causes unforeseen problems. Make this app good again please, even if you have to revert to what worked before.

Something has changed. I was loving SwiftKey. It was predicting my typing well. Then something changed and all of a sudden I'm looking over what I have sent and there are mistakes all over the place. I though this thing learned and got better. Did SwiftKey get a swift round-house to the head? I think it has gotten stupider

Want this to be good, typing is impossible. I’ve been a keen user of this SwiftKey for years, however over the past few months it appears to have progressively gotten worse when typing, just not reliable for typing standard words in the way the standard keyboard is. Also I noticed a few crashes and major delays, for example when opening spotlight. Understand this is probably more iOS than the keyboard, however that added with the inability to type words correctly doesn’t add up to a great experience. Would love to come back to SwiftKey if these issues can be resolved. PS i wondered if the issue is the remapping of the keys, so I have tried uninstalling and starting from scratch, sadly no difference.

Loved it until.... I've been using the app on my iPhone for a couple years but recently it's been glitches alot. It's getting to point where it's almost unusable, I'm not sure where this popped out of but I think it's because of the new ios 15 update. Hoping the flickering keyboard gets patched soon so I can continue using the keyboard.

Recent update has broken it all.. Look at the recent reviews - obviously an update in November/December has caused problems. SwiftKey keeps dropping out and going back to the standard keyboard. Turn the keyboard back to SwiftKey and it might work for a few minutes or - far more likely - a few seconds at most. It’s now unusable for me. Many reviews say a reinstall doesn’t fix the issue, and yet it’s still recommended to every complaint of the same problem. How this problem isn’t picked up in QA is beyond me.

👌🏻. this app is really usefull, easy to use, safe, and fun! I love being able to change how my keyboard looks. I do have a tip though, I put that the app could only use my selected photos but I probably should have put all photos because it makes it easier. But over all AMAZING APP 👌🏻😘⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great App But could be Improved. This app is amazing but I would like to suggest a few improvements that this app could have. Firstly, I wish you could change your keyboard from your SwiftKey keyboard instead of going into the app. Secondly, I think you should be able to change the font of your keyboard and the words you type. Finally, my last suggestion is that you should be able to animate your customised keyboards like the bubblegum, snowy and shooting star keyboards. I think that this app is great but I would love if you could maybe add some of these suggestions to SwiftKey keyboards. Note: PLEASE ONLY ADD THINGS TO THE KEYBOARD NOT GET RID OF THINGS AS THIS APP IS AMAZING!🥺 P.S. I hope I haven’t missed anything because you may actually be able to do some of these things already.

Lovely when it works, ugly when not. Keeps force closing on my iPhone 14 pro max. It does it about 30 percent of the times I use it which is pretty significant. Happens especially when I browse emojis or search them. It would close and go to default keyboard. I'll have to leave the app I'm typing on, wait 3 seconds then return. Super annoying. Please fix it's been like this for months

Wish I could give the app more stars. The new update where you can put any picture you want is incredible. Well thought out and makes me excited for the future of this app

The brown man's review(dabs). Pree gold Twice when u have too 😂

Broke after last update. This keyboard keeps crashing or getting killed by iOS. Crashes started since the last update.

Used to be great. It was fantastic until they added Bing. They completely rearranged the button layouts for my clipboard and other buttons and placed a blasted Bing button that I can't remove. Being habituated with the clipboard in its location previously, I'm now opening up a search bar every time I want to paste something. Either give us an option to move the buttons around or get rid of this blasted search engine.

Seems to have broken over the last month. For nearly a decade this was the best keyboard app ever. But something seems to have broken over the last few updates. It selects incorrect words, cuts words in half, etc. I really don't want to have to switch away but unless these issues are resolved I might have no choice

I used this app until.... I used this app for so long. If I am not mistaken I even paid for it, but instead of telling the users you could use Bing to search they enforce that horrible icon to the in the screen at all times. I happily uninstalled.

Hate the Bing update. Longtime user of SwiftKey. Was a great predictive keyboard and quick in learning my flow gestures. I liked that I could use one keyboard to write in both English and French, though I wish it offered Korean as well (for years, developers have expressed no interest in adding certain languages). However, I hate the addition of the Bing hub. Everything about it is terrible and offers nothing that I want or need. Have deleted this keyboard and am now using another.

Crashes. Worked great before latest os now crashes non stop

A mere shadow of itself. This keyboard is absolutely great on the other guy os, but on ios it is properly awful. Incomplete ponctuation and no numbers on long press so you have to switch screen all the time, can't size it properly, no navigation keys, incomplete dictionary giving nonsensical suggestion, most annoying keyboard I've ever used.

Glitching. Have loved this app for years and now all of a sudden it’s glitching A LOT. PLEASE fix it!

Best keyboard app. This is the only app I have ever reviewed because it's the only one I actually use all the time. I can't type without using SwiftKey. Don't know how some people still haven't used it.

Best Keyboard for iOS PERIOD!. Nothing compares to SwiftKey. I don’t have anything more to say.

Needs an updat ASAP.. Been using SwiftKey for a few years now and all of a sudden it doesn’t work. App crashes instantly

Need cursor back!. With the removal of 3D Touch there is now no longer an option to hold to get a cursor. I am switching back and forth between the stock keyboard because this is an absolute necessity. Please implement it ASAP!

Themes. I was wondering if it would be possible to introduce some new themes in the future.

Clipboard. Running iOS 17.3.1 Device iPhone 15 pro max When I copy something on Clipboard, it stays in Clipboard for sometime. Once the phone locks 2-3 times, the Clipboard wipes out the last copied text. This is annoying. Also, it shifts to default keyboard while running in between typing at random intervals. Kindly fix these bugs. Thank you

Going to no more use keyboard because of bing. Going to no more use keyboard because of bing. If developers will not remove this annoing Bing from this app

Typing is getting WORSE using this. Neat customization features, and the autocorrect seems pretty good. But... I think there's an issue with how the "tap map" feature adjusts the keys according to how you use the keyboard. It seems to completely wreck my ability to be coherent WITHOUT needing autocorrect. It's like every other word I type has at least one typo now. I sincerely feel like my typing is getting WORSE while using this keyboard. There are also issues with hitting the keyboard as I feel like I'm missing it 30-40% of the time. And I don't think it's because I'm a "bad typer"; I'm an iPhone "power user" for personal and professional use, and have been for years. So unless my ability to type has coincidently devolved since I got this app... Also, I feel like the keyboard lags behind what I'm typing quite a lot. Especially annoying when trying to switch between the numbers/punctuation screen and the actual keyboard screen. I'm likely going to switch to another keyboard or back to the default if this isn't a resolvable issue.

New toolbar. Give us a option to replace the upper bar that now has the bing search icon with just suggestive words. I don't want to use bing as my search engine. And I don't need or want the icon on right of that bar either. These changes make my desire to use SwiftKey drop significantly.

Clavier swiftkey. Depuis dernière mise a jour nous n'avons plus accès au emoticones?????

How to trust a keyboard that needs full accesa. It is quite creepy that I have to grant full access to Microsoft and Google to use their keyboards. Brilliant keyboard but I just do not trust them with everything that I type.

Glitch. It's been working amazing for 7 years and now it's glitching so the keyboard moves while typing.

What happened?. This app was so amazing. It is the worst lately and I got used to having it. It selects rediculous words and every sentence I typed is wrong. Isn't it supposed to learn my habits? I am so so fed up with it. I will now type this again with the word it selects when I hit enter, despite spelling it correctly on my end. So you can see how terrible it is. ...... This app was some amazingly. Its is the worst l'atelier and I got used to having its. Its selects rediculous word's and every sentenced I typed is wrongful. Isn't it supposedly to learning my habitation? I am some some fed up with it. I will now typed this again with the word it's selected when the hitting entertainment, despite spelling it's correctly on my ending. Some you can see how terribly it is. ----- (I typed this second one first....And this is how good it is... I have used it for years and it used to it so great. What happened?!)

Dictation function won’t do punctuation. The keyboard is pretty good overall. My biggest gripe is that the dictation function insists on ignoring my punctuation cues. It needs to insert a period, not keep typing out the word period.

Great app. Love this app and nice to see the ability to use the microphone for dictation finally on IOS (to bad it doesn't work - constant no wifi or network connection error)

Haptics dead. Typing feedback is dead on 11 Pro Max.

New update it's great!! Just needs more themes!!. Just needs more themes!!

It is very glitchy now. It used to be a great keyboard but over the past few months it is very glitchy with Autocorrect. When you put in the suggested spelling after you put a space in, Autocorrect screws up the whole word and you get gibberish.

Fix the crash, please.. I love this keyboard. It's seriously the best one out there for my iPhone. The only problem is, since Apple's update to iOS 17, the keyboard keeps crashing and going back to the original Apple keyboard. It's very annoying and hasn't been fixed yet. Update November 23: tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still did not work.

Bad. do you really have to allow full access for this to work? Or does the swipe text just not work? Not very good either way. Just a worse keyboard.

Best to worst. I used to be able to combine tapping and swiping within a single word. Now it works like GBoard and other keyboards where swiping will automatically assume you want to start a new word. I can't start a word by tapping and finish it with swiping, which has become natural when using this app.

Good until recently. iPhone 8, iOS12.1.2. I've been using this for several years now on different devices. Just in the past month or so the keyboard has been hanging often, freezing or most commonly crashing completely. Such a pain for something so good.

App crashes. It is not working properly.

Need Chinese input support. This keyboard is excellent for English input. Do you have plans to add Chinese input support in the future?

Predictions considerably worse, slower. Thia keyboard used to be amazing. But from last year at least it started to make wrong predictions, sometimes getting slow or even freezing. Also its usability got worse since there's no option to ask the app to relearn my types in Gmail, twitter or Facebook. Unfortunately I'll have to migrate to another one.

Great product. I love this keyboard. They were off the Apple Store for a few months so I had to try others. Nothing compares to swiftkey. The only issue is that I can’t login with my Google account for some reason. Neither in my old iPhone, on the new one that I got a week ago, nor in the iPad.

Awful. Constantly freezes. Whatever they've done to SwiftKey in ios 14 is awful. It constantly freezes for as long as 5 seconds before i can do anything. And i have to reinstall the app as much as 4 times a month to fix it temporarily. This hasn't been fixed at all since the release of ios 14.

Hate the bing logo. I'm going to uninstall now, after using SwiftKey for nearly 10 years, I hate the unremovable bing icon, I dislike the increasingly unreliable autocorrect, and the amount of crashes is simply unacceptable

Glitching. Like others have said, worked great for years but now flickers every 3 seconds. Please fix this I don't want to use the default keyboard:( EDIT: march 1, 2024. Keyboard no longer opens at all even set as default like normal. Currently typung this on ky iphone ketbaord.

Three stars because of support.. Wrote an email to support and they never got back to me.

Bing icon is not able to be disabled. This keyboard is amazing, and if the bing icon is able to be removed i will change this to 4 stars. I have used it for years and i love how it knows my typing habits and rearanges keys in the background to lessen typos. Its also highly customizable and you can customize a lot about it, with the exception of the bing icon, which currently cannot be disabled, and considering how useless bing is, this icon is similarily useless and feels pushy.

It works but I don’t want to give an app full access. I don’t understand why the app requires full access to everything you type and input using your keyboard... it’s a keyboard... it worked well, but I uninstalled because I felt uneasy that I had to give full access to the app for it to work

Why are you killing the app on iOS? We want SwiftKey on iOS, Microsoft!. Don't kill the iOS app!

Autocorrect activating in address bars. I keep trying to type a website URL to access on my browser but autocorrect keeps adding spaces and changing words since a recent update. Not happy about this

Please fix!. I am a very big fan of this app. However, the talk to text feature is currently not functioning at all. Every time I try to use it, it says that there is no network connection available. Ive allowed it complete access and have made sure everything is on but it still isn't working. Please fix this so I can put my review back at five stars!

KEYBOARD WONT POP UP!!!. IT DEFAULTS TO APPLES KEYBOARD NOT TO SWIFTKEY! annoying !!!!

New Update. Whatever was in the new update just made me unable to use the app. It will not work on my keyboard now and Ive been using this for at least 7 years. Pls fix.

Cannot remove Bing button. 1 star for forced Bing. Use a different keyboard.

Microsoft is slowly turning ruining this app. They added a stupid Bing shortcut on it that cannot be disabled.

Swif key. It's super fun you can customize and (more...)😛📱🅱️

Switkey. I would give 5 stars, if they add number rows like BULLKEY apps

It was amazing. I've been using SwiftKey for years now, but this year I got really disappointed with it. It was the best keyboard ever, easy to type, the auto correct always worked, but recently it's been having a lot of bugs and I'm really considering not using it anymore because it's really annoying. The keyboard isn't opening at all sometimes when I have to type, so I have to change to the normal ones, it keeps "resetting" the keyboard all the time, so for example, if I'm searching for an emoji on the keyboard it sort of blinks and goes to texting. Or if I have all caps locked, it blinks and changes to normal caps. The texting is delayed and it has been just a really annoying experience to have it, which makes me really sad because I loved this app. Hope they manage to fix this soon, otherwise I'd say it's not really worth downloading it.

best keyboard, devastating bug. update: dev replied telling me to uninstall and reinstall. i’ve done this many times, i even updated to the latest ios to see if that would resolve the issue. i’ve reinstalled on the latest ios. please don’t reply if you’re giving me the “unplug and replug” equivalent of customer support, can’t find anywhere ti even submit this bug to microsoft, which is sad because like i say: this is my favorite keyboard ever. wish i could attach a video of the bug. the keyboard keeps clipping / changing position while i type, rendering it unusable, this has been going on for months and i can’t find anywhere to contact microsoft abt this. literally my favorite keyboard ever! and the key map adjustment feature saves hours of editing by cutting down on your mistakes. an absolute gem - if the keyboard worked without glitching. it’s been the most frustrating thing having to switch back to apple’s terrible default keyboard and being unable to use this one. for the love of God please make it usable again

A giant step down. I give this three stars instead of just one because it is technically the best option at the moment. Previously, that would have been the now deprecated Word Flow (which I'm still using and writing this review on), which was a great keyboard that Microsoft chose to abandon (after putting in a ton of work on it I assume) in favor of buying and marketing an inferior existing product. Word Flow brought me reluctantly back to swipe-style keyboards because of its unmatched accuracy. I can practically randomly wiggle my finger around on the keyboard and it somehow knows what I'm trying to say. Swift key requires more time executing precise swipes and making corrections that it takes to just type in the standard Apple keyboard. Yes, Swift Key a little more stable and maybe has a few features that people prefer but please, Microsoft, you own the algorithm from Word Flow that can make this keyboard great... Integrate that tech into Swift Key or give/sell it to a developer who will.

Great keyboard. I love your keyboard. Can you; 1) introduce a theme that resembles the keyboard you use on your computer with the numbers in a 10-key format' 2) introduce the ability to customize the keys to type a word or symbol using the 'touch and hold' action like the [?!.] key does. Ex, many folks use certain words or punctuation often. If I could program, say the 'W' key using the 'touch and hold' action one could program that key to type say 'set to default'. This way one touch (and hold) would save 13 keystrokes! I love the little down arrow in the lower right corner to dismiss the keyboard. I love the ability to move the cursor using the space bar. Using this action, the space bar isn't so sensitive that it moves the cursor inadvertently causing grammar errors. I'm giving you 5 stars and would be very excited if these features were added. Thanks.

Language support is phenomenal. SwiftKey supports swipe typing for two languages at a time, and offers a huge variety of languages that are not natively supported with iOS keyboards. I do a fair amount of bilingual typing that rapidly code-switches between English and Tagalog (Filipino)—a language that iOS does not support natively—and SwiftKey lets me swipe-type in Tagalog and even allows swipe-typing for a mix of Tagalog and English. It's been a godsend for me. I don't really understand how bilingual mode is supposed to work for two languages with distinct alphabets—only one of which shows up at a time (e.g., if you have English and Russian enabled then you'll only see the Cyrillic keyboard)—so maybe support can help answer that.

Please Add Long-Press Characters.. When using Swype you could access numbers and characters by long-pressing the on screen letters and it saved time because you didn't have to click the "123" button to access them. Would you please add this feature to the Swift Key keyboard please? So, if I long-press on say the letter "x" it would input an exclamation point "!". To me that saves so much time instead of always having to click the button to access those characters. You could put all the numbers for long-press on the top letters and all the other characters everywhere else. I really hope you'll consider my request please, thank you. It would save so much time and make typing with Swift Key so much faster in my opinion. Thank you again if you'll consider this request and hopefully implement into the keyboard. Or maybe it could be an option to turn on for users like myself who are used to it or find that they like and enjoy how much quicker it really is. Also, when I go down a new line on my iPhone 8 plus, it doesn't pull up the screen, it keeps hiding what I'm tomb topping typing and I have to keep pushing the screen up on my own. Would you please fix the app so that i don't have to do this? It's very annoying that I cannot see what I'm typing until I thumb up the screen on my iPhone. Thank you and thanks for all the work and time put into this nice keyboard.

Best alternative. This is the best alternative to the default iOS keyboard in my opinion. I picked this keyboard particularly for swipe functionality, GBoard being the other option. I find this one a lot more pleasing due to its simplicity. The default theme is clean and minimal, and I don't mind the SwiftKey logo being on the spacebar (although a premium option to remove it would be ideal). I do have one suggestion for the keyboard, an option to remove the globe/emoji button altogether or being replaced with something more useful and linking the emoji button on the bottom left to SwiftKey's implementation if possible. On my Xs, the default emoji button on the bottom left leaves SwiftKey's emoji button redundant. I can remove the system emoji keyboard but will be left with a huge space. Using SwiftKey with two emoji buttons at the moment. Thanks for the beautiful keyboard!

I love this app. I love this keyboard because it has so many functions and there is something very good and that is that when you only need to write numbers (for example, a phone number), the normal keyboard just sends you to the keyboard mode where there are numbers but also some punctuation marks but this keyboard sends you to a numeric keyboard and this could help to the people that are accustomed to using a numeric keyboard. Also, I have a lot of keyboards but I think this is my favorite keyboard. Also, I will not always use this keyboard because the other keyboards I have, have some things that this keyboard doesn't have like for example, I have 2 keyboards of fonts but this keyboard doesn't have fonts.

Learn from Swype.. I was sad to let go of Swype because it is no longer maintained. SwiftKey is the best replacement I found, better than gboard in many respects, however I wish it was as good as Swype for glide typing. I suggest the developers learn from using Swype. The most impactful improvement, for me, would be to allow deleting the entire last word using backspace, if done right after the glide stroke. This prevents me from wasting time deleting long words guessed incorrectly by SwiftKey. The next improvement is automatic insertion of a space after a comma or question mark. A more sophisticated improvement is smart insertion, where spacing is automatically adjusted when inserting new text in the middle of a sentence. Finally, I wish I could curate words I teach the keyboard, instead of hoping that some inefficient (insert your favorite strong word here) machine learning algorithm will figure out what I need. Hoping to see these soon in a future update.

Need to stay on top of Apple software updates. I’ve used this app for literally YEARS. To the point where I even forgot it wasn’t my “stock” keyboard. Enter iOS 14.5. With the new update, comes new emojis. I could see them when other people used them but I couldn’t find them. My phone was up to date with the newest software and I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t have these emojis. Come to find out it was actually this app that didn’t have them because it hasn’t been updated to include the new emojis. You would think with a software update as mainstream and talked about as this one, these people would make a point to stay on top of their own updates. I have now deleted this app for the first time in at least 8 years and will now have to get used to the standard Apple keyboard 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️

I LOVE swift key!!!. Hi my name is Kaitlyn...I have been using swift key for a bout a year now and I couldnt be more happy with it! I love all of the designs on it...like when I am missing my mom I can make my keyboard a picture of her. Not only can you put pictures but there are awesome designs that you can choose to be your keyboard...but my favorite is designing my own and using pictures! You can change the settings for how you want it, they automatically capitalize words or sentences that should be capitalized, and there is even a swipe setting in it! Of course though, if you don't want any of that stuff then you can always change it off in settings. Swift key gets to know how you type and what you are trying to say, even when you don't know what your trying to say😂. I hope you enjoy swift key!

Terrible. I’m using talk to text to write this because the keyboard is so terrible. The word prediction is so bad I don’t even know What some of the words are or how it comes up with abbreviations for words Nor with these words ever make sense in a sentence. I like how the app gives you stats on how many words it’s predicted and change for you yeah it changes all the words most the time words that I have typed out right and then it goes back and changes and I have to redo them again. So I guess I’m going to go back to using the regular keyboard although I will miss my swipe texting terribly but at this point I’m using talk to text more than ever anyway so at least when I type words out it won’t go back and change them hopefully. oh and when I try to post this bad review I asked for a nickname and I’ve tried about 100 of them so far and it won’t let me use any so I’m guessing they probably block out the bad reviews by the system I’ll keep trying hopefully find one.

All iPhone users need this app. Why don't you have SwiftKey installed yet? Anyone who types on their iPhone keyboard and highly prioritizes correct spelling needs this app. This improved and sped up my typing by so much I don't know what I'd do without it. Perfect spelling every time with much less effort than the default iOS keyboard. It's hard to explain but the buttons are spaced out better than the default so you're more likely to hit the correct keys the first time. The autocorrect feature is intuitive and accommodates to your natural typing habits. Plus, the ability to change the color and display of the keyboard is pretty cool too. TLDR: makes everything about iOS typing better, 100% recommend.

Great but laggy. This keyboard is very cool because it allows swiping not Only in English, but in Russian as well. In my experience, it's the best keyboard that offers Russian swift support on iPhone. However, it's laggy. For example, sometimes if I used ios messenger to text and responded to Facebook Messenger notification with a Reply action, instead of this keyboard it popped up a native ios keyboard. Also, often when I click on the text field, it pops up, then stays untouchable for like 2-3 seconds, shifts bottom and comes back up and then I can touch it. Another hug is when I am on ios messenger and I open a message and click the text field to start input, it lags and if I click back button on top right, for some reason it enters a "q" character in the text input box. That's weird and it would've been nice if that was fixed.

Frustrating... I miss Swype. I switched to SwiftKey after Swype was abandoned, but like so many others here I'm growing more and more frustrated with it. It doesn't learn from me and frequently suggests words that are not only incorrect but are strange and unknown. Half the time when I try to type "we" it enters a lone "e". What the heck? "E" by itself is not even a word in English. Who stocked the word library in this thing? And why do I have to delete incorrect words letter by letter? If Swype got it wrong, a single backspace deleted the entire word quickly, and it really did learn from its mistakes. Punctuation is especially frustrating. Swype had awesome shortcuts for exclamation and question marks, and automatically inserted proper spacing. SwiftKey is a mess in this regard. I really do wonder sometimes if this is worth the hassle, any faster than hunt and peck. UPDATE: I just found Gboard by Google. Still not as good as Swype but waaaay better than Swiftkey. Plus surprisingly it doesn't require full access.

Zero stars. update: I have come back to try this and find that it is competition non functional. Flow does not work at all. It does not recognize third party pencil. They have tried to make this a good keyboard but it still falls woefully short. My main complaint is the extremely poor flow capability. The flow algorithm seems strongly tied to endpoints rather than to pattern. Thus one must be extremely accurate to get the right words. Also it is designed to recognize words after a few letters. So if you keep flowing after a few letters you just confuse it. It is impossible to watch the words that are popping up and watch the keys to accurate trace a path at the same time. Next issue is their punctuation. I find that I have to put in spaces and take out spaces all of the time. Third is the lack of case switching from no caps to all caps to initial cap. The old Swype keyboard far exceeded SwiftKey in all three of these functions. Finally on IOs I find that it does not support a stylus to type or flow.

Thank you Microsoft!. For a long time, this app went unupdated, with bugs starting to accumulate as new iOS versions came out, until Microsoft made a sudden announcement that they were ending support for this keyboard on iOS and removing it from the App Store. Quite a few longtime users were upset, and after about a month, Microsoft reversed course - they not only brought it back, but they have now released several updates addressing bugs and adding new features! This keyboard is a must have for me at this point. The tap map feature alone is enough to make any other keyboard feel clunky. I am so grateful to Microsoft for listening to the fans and keeping this great keyboard going. If you want to experience a better keyboard than the default one on your phone, give SwiftKey a try.

Well that’s it for me…. Deleting this horrible keyboard. First, after a several year hiatus with no real updates or improvements, the app developer (Microsoft of course…. Ugh!) and they force their horrible Bing on us and the Bing icon was so big and intrusive and had a glaring white background. They said they were going to fix it and they did but they STILL did not give us the option to remove it in settings. And, since it’s Microsoft, and not a small company that will listen to your opinions and complaints, they will refuse to give us the option to disable the horrible Bing search or give us the option for another, more powerful and less intrusive search engine of our choice. So, with that said, after so many years of using SwiftKey, and since Microsoft loves to alienate the user and monopolize companies by buying them out, I am done with SwiftKey. Good riddance to SwiftKey, Microsoft, Bing and hello again to my privacy and MY CHOICE in what I want on my phone.

Most recent update killed emoji function. I have been a dedicated SwiftKey user since Apple started allowing third-party keyboards. I am appalled by the most recent update. While I use SwiftKey for text, I use Apple's emoji keyboard. I use Apple's emoji keyboard because it highlights all words in a message in orange and allows the user to convert the words into relevant emojis. This feature was compatible with SwiftKey's keyboard until the most recent SwiftKey app update. After the most recent SwiftKey update, Apple's emoji keyboard does not recognize words typed with SwiftKey and cannot highlight them in orange to allow emoji substitution. This problem was not generated by any change in Apple's software. I have tested the compatability between SwiftKey and Apple's emoji keyboard on multiple iPhones running multiple iOS versions (both current and outdated). My experimentation has conclusively revealed that the most recent SwiftKey update killed compatability between SwiftKey and Apple's emoji keyboard. I will unfortunately be unable to use SwiftKey as my primary keyboard (after years of dedication to SwiftKey) until this issue is remedied.

Hands down THE VERY BEST "Swpye" app EVER!!. So I've used quite a few of the "Swpye" apps before this one but once I downloaded this and now that I've been using it I tell my friends and family all the time,it's like it reads my mind!! Once you've used it for awhile it seriously "gets to know you" like a friend would :) Even beyond that brilliance comes the beautiful personalization options, and for the love of God I FINALLY know how and often use my clipboard!! I tell literally every single person that I engage with on more than a five minute basis about this app! Yous Guys are killing it man! And thank you!! (My only ensy weensy teeny tiny thing that I would love to add is the text to talk ability. If it's already on her, which it probably is then PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO FIND IT! And if not...then just a small suggestion ;)

Voice typing fixes things that weren’t broken in the first place. I would love to see it with five stars only if it wasn’t for one glaring problem that has persisted through the years. It’s got a bad habit of capitalizing words in the middle of a sentence especially when voice typing. The only other persistent issue is when voice typing. You can say a word and then it gets the spelling dead on. Then it’s autocorrected to something that doesn’t even look like the word it fixed. Needs something like a ‘undo that’ or ‘fix that’ voice typing command. If that’s not possible something else like double tapping the microphone key will do the same and teach the app at the same time. Voice recognition and voice typing doesn’t work if it’s constantly fixing things that aren’t broken in the first place.

Vastly good, regrettable hindrances. DOESN'T WORK WITH SMART INVERSION: photo themes stay the same color in smart inversion, but keys turn dark—completely illegible. If you use color inversion often, e.g., to reduce glare at night on white documents, you'd need to manually switch keyboards every time. OR REGULAR INVERSION: dark backgrounds are easier on the eyes. Enabling total color inversion makes the text legible on the background, at the cost of being blinding. For the purpose of inverting to reduce white space eye strain, swiftkey is defunct. INABILITY TO CHANGE KEY COLOR: above could be solved by enabling white keys on custom keyboards, which would also benefit users who want to use light photo backgrounds. INABILITY TO RESET TAP MAP: I'd like to reset the tap map after switching dominant hands for swiping and texting. There's no option to do this. That's lackluster. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall swiftkey; first, that's a silly solution for a straightforward problem, second, it would reset various type predictions. It's apparently possible to preserve predictions through making an account, but that's definitely not an obvious solution. New emoji/gif/whatever bar is beautiful and elegant though. Despite above problems, makes swiftkey the best tool around in my books.

Microsoft Quietly Purchased This App. Let me start by saying that I have loved this app for years. It was a great keyboard that has decent predictions out of the gate and allowed me to easily add or remove words from my dictionary, making it much better over time. That said, I opened it one day to find that Microsoft’s name was now on it. I don’t recall being informed of this pending sale, or the final acquisition, but I was apparently now subject to Microsoft’s privacy policy. Here’s the problem; when you look at Microsoft’s privacy policy (attached to this app in the App Store), absolutely no mention is made of what (if any) data Microsoft may collect from your keyboard. The keyboard app could easily be construed as “information you provide”. This is a huge issue! Now I’m not naive enough to think that a large corporation like Microsoft is going to risk a multi-million-dollar lawsuit for what’s available in my bank account or credit card, but the fact that it isn’t addressed means that it’s very likely some Microsoft analyst somewhere could be reading text messages or emails I’ve typed, or using my searches to attack me with customized ads and building a profile on me. I keep checking back to see if they’ll update their policy, but so far they haven’t. Please address this one way or another, I miss this app!

One Finger. I am a one finger Typer swiftKey has helped me tremendously with predictive words and also with my spelling. Love the different type of keyboards even the custom ones you can make I have chosen the nickel rose colored keyboard because of the very dark background I can see the keys better. The only thing that I wish is that they would make the keyboard where you can use a animoji. you can use emoji’s but not animoji's. All in all I am very happy with this keyboard there is so much more that can be said about it. I would recommend this to anyone. If you’re like me and like change on certain things you love this app literally has limitless Changes that you can make from their keyboard teams to custom themes that you can make. Very awesome app.

by far the best non-apple keyboard. I have owned dozens of keyboard apps since the update allowing different keyboards and this is definitely my favorite. You don't have to pay to get upgrades like other annoying apps which I appreciate a lot. The swipe works so well and you can customize your keyboard in so many ways. You can add a picture to the background and change your auto capitalization and auto correct. I would without a doubt recommend this app to anyone looking for a faster way to text or even just looking for a cuter keyboard. I also appreciate that they have their own built in emoji keyboard. With other keyboard apps, when you switch over to emojis, when you try to go back to your keyboard it would only take you to the Apple keyboard. This one goes back to the swift keyboard.

I LIKE SWIFTKEY!!. My writing has been great and I like this app one the best. The keys have a bolder look that I like also that these keyboards are free from SwiftKey! I also have liked have great customer service which address my questions and concerns within a quick and timely period which is key to my usage and this is key. I just have to use this like riding a bike, the more one uses the better one gets the idea, that will come in time. The only thing I do could not identify or like has changed from the larger animation to the smaller characters which I just looked at now. One item I do not care for is the “EMOJI”, I do not like this app. How can I get rid of this part of your application? I do like SWIFTKEY, now! Sparks, Nevada John Aguilar

It could of been great.. Yet it isn’t. There are two things about SwiftKey that turn a promising keyboard awful. The first is what I’ll call “multi-word gesture correction”. This isn’t part of the autocorrect function but rather a part of the gesture typing. So when i swipe a word, which it gets correct and adds a space appropriately, and then i swipe another word, it assumes that either the second word will fall in line with predictive suggestions for the first, or that I for some silly reason was swiping the word with two gestures, resulting in entirely correct words being changed to absolutely different words not even near what i wanted. It’s at it’s worst with “a” however. It seems to think I want to type out an a word rather than the one-lettered word itself. So a becomes “Alan”, or “assist”, or “Africa”, or “archaeologists”. It’s asinine! The second is the lack of custom themes. Im aesthetically picky, and i much prefer the “blurred wallpaper” look i had going with other keyboards. Not these cheap gradients (as nice as they are); it doesn't fit in. In all it’s a good concept gone wrong. It’s single word gesture prediction is pretty good, and i could even live without themes, but if it’s going to consistently rewrite my entire sentences because it thinks the word i swiped doesn’t fit with the other words, (and therefore i must of “swiped wrong”), then it’s absolutely garbage as a keyboard. Sayonara, SwiftKey. I hardly knew you.

Built-in Clipboard a Winner!. I've used several keyboards and several separate Clipboard managers. I'm glad I found "SwiftKey" which an incorporates an easily accessible clipboard into the keyboard and which holds up to 10 clippings. I've been looking for this feature for a long time. It makes message composition so much easier! My hope is that the authors at least double the clippings the clipboard holds. Thanks! 7.9.18 Brilliant idea for the designer(s) of this app: Add a button to the keyboard which will stamp a (customizable) date and time to the text being. written. I would use this often in my daily logging of events. Thanks! 😎 5.1.19. Adding a number row almost has me back from "Slyder" keyboard. If you add a date and time stamp button I willbe back. Thanks. 😎

DON'T update...it's getting worse and worse. I have been using this app for a few years. And it's getting worse and worse. The speaking function is horrible. It puts a period. Every time you pause for one quarter of a second. I'm using the speaking function here. And you can see that there's so many periods. I can't even pause to think my next words before it puts a period. I raised this issue. Last year and they said they were looking into it and it just got worse. I just updated the app. And it's worse than it was before. I can't even pause for even 1/10 of a second. Without it putting it. So whenever I take a breath, it puts a period. I don't know what's so difficult about correcting this error. With the developers. Even the apple speaking function works so much better. Look at all the periods here. It's ridiculous. I would suggest you go to Gboard. Or don't update the app. Because it just got way worse.

How has this issue been missed after 2 updates?. I had used SwiftKey for quite some time before this issue had come up, and before this bug, it was essentially a 5-star (minus the fact that there’s no option to remove the distracting Microsoft watermark from the space bar). Now, 9 times out of 10 when I pull up the keyboard on any app, and I’ve tried quite a few, it flashes the SwiftKey keyboard for half a second or less and then reverts to the generic Apple keyboard. This has been happening for at least a couple of months now, even after some updates to the app. My hopes were dashed after the second update that I saw from the App Store, and it didn’t help a thing. I tried removing the English keyboard from my settings, and this worked for about 30 minutes until I had pulled my keyboard up in a different app. Uninstalled and reinstalled a week ago, and it worked for a single day until this issue came back rearing its ugly head. Deeply disappointed for an appbreaking bug. iOS 14.1, iPhone X.

[UPDATE] I don't like Bing. I received an email from the Swiftkey developer and I am very pleased to say that I was able to remove the Bing icon from the toolbar and it's back to normal (or at least what I'm used to). ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶’̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶l̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶s̶a̶v̶e̶d̶ ̶p̶h̶r̶a̶s̶e̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶d̶ ̶c̶o̶r̶r̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶w̶i̶p̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶.̶ ̶I̶’̶v̶e̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶S̶w̶i̶f̶t̶K̶e̶y̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶y̶e̶a̶r̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶l̶o̶v̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶t̶,̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶G̶o̶o̶g̶l̶e̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶a̶l̶w̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶f̶e̶r̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶s̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶e̶n̶g̶i̶n̶e̶.̶ ̶I̶’̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶t̶r̶o̶n̶g̶l̶y̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶l̶i̶k̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶e̶n̶g̶i̶n̶e̶s̶,̶ ̶e̶s̶p̶e̶c̶i̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶B̶i̶n̶g̶.̶ ̶I̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶.̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶u̶n̶i̶n̶s̶t̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶B̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶i̶c̶e̶s̶.̶ ̶I̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶r̶n̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶l̶o̶o̶k̶s̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶I̶'̶l̶l̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶S̶w̶i̶f̶t̶K̶e̶y̶.̶ ̶S̶o̶,̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶f̶u̶r̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶d̶o̶,̶ ̶b̶y̶e̶ ̶b̶y̶e̶ ̶S̶w̶i̶f̶t̶K̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶B̶i̶n̶g̶.̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶u̶n̶i̶n̶s̶t̶a̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶.̶

Much better than gboard again. I miss the way gboard allowed you to erase the whole word when a bad swype led to the wrong prediction. But gboard has become useless lately in recent versions so I'm back. only 2 glitches seen in swiftkey settings. They are that the clipboard setting is at first inaccessible (you can scroll up to see it but can't click it bc the scroll resets back where it isn't on the screen [the fix is to hit the plus symbol in the top left of the keyboard and then the clipboard looking icon to shortcut to settings that way, then the feature isn't off the screen anymore]). Also the search bar doesn't work in the languages section (no keyboard pops up to type into [the clipboard fix seems to fix that too, maybe it just was not done installing]).

My Keyboard of Choice, Still Have a Wishlist. I enjoy using this keyboard, and absolutely prefer it over Apple’s stock tapper. And the latest updated added some much needed/appreciated features. However, I do have to knock one star off for some features that are still woefully missing. First: This is Microsoft’s official/supported mobile add-on keyboard, is it not? Since this is the case, I cannot fathom the reason that it does not have the best and defining feature of WordFlow (Microsoft’s previous mobile add-on keyboard before acquiring SwiftKey): the curved, one-handed keyboard. I sincerely hope that this distinctive and awesome feature from WordFlow is being diligently worked on for SwiftKey. Second: 3D Touch functionality in SwiftKey is atrocious compared to Apple’s native keyboard. With Apple’s keyboard, I can use 3D Touch to move the cursor in any direction I please, not just left and right. And with a second push of the 3D Touch, I can highlight without having to lift my thumb (or finger) to touch the body of text. These two features of 3D Touch in Apple’s native keyboard are extremely useful and convenient, and I would very much like to see them make their way to SwiftKey. So if they add WordFlow’s curved keyboard and vertical movement/hightlighting to 3D Touch, then Five Stars (from me) is just an update away!

Very good!. It is outstanding! I love swoops typing more than ever now. Plus, you get a bunch of cool themes and keyboards. There are also some other cool tools that are not orginally equipped on the standard keyboard that comes default on iOS. I swipe typed this review actually! XD LOL HAHAHAHA It has saved me many taps and I think overall and general made me miss productive. Plus, you have multitudinous customization and versatility on the keyboard. There are accent colors and themes you can tweak. You can even make a theme for your keyboard as a photo you took already! Sweet! Awesome! Plus, it has awesome accuracy even typing on a tiny keyboard of an iPhone 5S, thus, my iPhone 6S broke and using this as backup currently. Anyways, I recommend getting this. Plus, it's free! :) ;)

Aggravating, barely better than the rest. I've tried a bunch: Gboard has the best swipe dictionary but is unstable and prone to swipe "breaks". Swype was just unstable to the point of unusable. SwiftKey seems most stable but has fewer features than Gboard and the swipe dictionary is HORRIBLE. For example I cannot swipe "we" or "as" consistently because the w and e (or a and s) are too close. Half the time I get just e and often I get "rwe" whatever the heck that is. I've removed "rwe" multiple times from my dictionary but still it keeps popping up. The swipe dictionary is terrible, try swiping "how've" and I get "Hoeven" or "Glebe". Long press on the period key in a URL bar and you won't get the website extensions (.com, .edu, ...) that you get with the Apple keyboard or Gboard. Long press on the same key when typing a message and you only get a very limited (6) punctuation marks while Gboard gives you the whole punctuation menu. In short barely above a very bad lot of swipe keyboards

Love it. I love this app. In the Christmas of the year 2017 I received my iPhone and I was looking at the apps that my Nana and mom had. They both had these adorable keyboards and I asked how they got those and they told me it was this app. So I looked at the app and read some reviews and decided to dialogs the app. So I went in the app and was trying to figure out how to change my keyboard to make it a picture on my phone...and it turned out that I got the newer version of the app that my family had. And I didn't really care cause at least I can change my keyboard to something different from the standard iPhone keyboard. I kept up with the updates and this winter I updated the app and am now adding my own new keyboards. Love the app!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😁👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Used to be much better. I loved this keyboard until a few updates ago when it forgot my writing style and vocabulary. Ever since then, it has actively resisted learning the words I frequently use. It honestly feels like censorship because these are words that adults use and I use them ALL THE TIME. I thought it was supposed to learn from ME . . . It always suggests something else. It's a miracle when it actually DOES remember. Which is only with words that don't have many potential replacements. Today it began to make ridiculously loud click sounds, even near the lowest volume setting on my phone. I had to turn off the key clicks on it because it was too much. I'm on a 6s with the newest OS. I really hope that this keyboard can be made to once again work with me, rather than against me. Some of the suggestions/corrections are just plain awful. Especially for names. They should allow us to add words if they can't fix this.

Needs improvements. Microsoft SwiftKey is very usable and it's the keyboard I mostly use. However, there needs some improvements. For example, the default iOS keyboard is easier to use because the letters are larger and there is a dark background which contrasts with the letters, making it a lot easier to see. Another needed improvement is need to include a suggestion box for emojis after typing a word, just like the default iOS keyboard. Microsoft needs to include Microsoft SwiftKey in their own App page under "Microsoft," just like they do with all their Microsoft products. The reason being that because it's not included under Microsoft's App page, Microsoft SwiftKey is not well heard of. And finally, I would like to suggest that it would be very neat for the consumers to have options to choose how they would like to style their Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard.

Great keyboard :) but some suggestions?. I use this keyboard on my iPhone and my iPad. It would be nice to have more holiday keyboard themes though! The keyboard also needs a compact setting, so the keyboard isn't taking up more than half the screen. Also needs to be compact: word prediction, undo/redo 0/ paste row and number row. That's kinda annoying and sometimes counterproductive. Something else, link other accounts to Swiftkey? Such as Apple, Google, etc. It would be nice to also swipe down (or even up/left/right) on numbers and letters for quicker access to symbols, etc... similar to the default Apple keyboard. And in the word prediction, emojis should be suggested based on the words we type, also similar to the default Apple keyboard.

Used to be great now awful. I have used this keyboard for year, and it was great. Autocorrect has now been "improved" such that it changes correctly spelled words to incorrect words, doesn't like past tense verbs and often removes or changes the "ed" suffix and often changes words ending in "ing" to " ng" so that ending" becomes "end ng." Pressing backspace shows what was originally typed and it is more often changing correct words to incorrect ones than fixing mistakes I made. Not a "learned word" issue, either. Googling "swiftkey autocorrect" shows that the decline of the keyboard's functionality has been noted for the last 2 years by numerous people, all of whom Microsoft dismisses. Just don't bother.

Microsoft should have left it alone. I am using it because it seems to be the only viable option for straightforward text prediction. Before Microsoft bought it, it was perfect. Now it just gets worse and worse. My current issue is their ridiculous predictions, made prematurely. For example the frequently used word "to", becomes "tomorrow" for some reason . . It's dumb. I am really having to proofread way too much. I also confused as to why a language app would impose prudish religious standards, especially with a word like "Homosexual", which have to be specifically spelled out as the app desperately suggests "homestead". 🙄. Grammarly is even worse. It's like the Christian nationalists know that if you control the words, you control the people. I assume that Microsoft could choose to opt out of that if they wanted to. But they won't, and I will have a spell out homosexual, as if I just invented the word.

Flow not working as well lately. I've used SwiftKey for several years and enabled Flow as soon as it came out. I have chronic illnesses that cause hand pain, so being able to swipe with one finger rather than typing manually lets me keep my wrist and thumbs in a more neutral position. Usually, I'd give the app a 4-5 star rating. But in the last few weeks, the quality of the Flow predictions I'm getting has declined. (Possibly around the time the new iPhones came out? I'll admit I'm still using a 6, for a couple more weeks, at least.) Sometimes I'll have to delete and reswipe an word several times before ultimately giving up and typing it out manually. For instance, it predicted "mauve" instead of "maybe" three times in a row yesterday. I don't think I've used the word "mauve" more than 10-15 times in my several decades on this planet, lol. Or sometimes I'll try to swipe "its," no apostrophe, and it'll insert "it's" and neither of the two options predicted is "its." I don't want to give SwiftKey access to my social media/Google accounts, no offense to SK, so that's not an option for me to try to improve predictions. Therefore, I hope there might be some sort of fix coming down the pipeline. My thumbs and I will appreciate it!

Missing one key feature. I love this app and have been using it for years. But it's that length of time that has caused me to notice a key missing feature. When I first starting using SwiftKey, I was on a much smaller screen an iPhone 7 Plus. Now that I've been on a bigger iPhone 14 Pro Max, for a year or so, I've noticed my Tap Map is so out of wack that I spend more and more time retyping or correcting words then I do typing. I don't want to create a new account just to reset my Tap Map and lose out on the predictive learning and dictionary SwiftKey has learned about my writing style and common phrasing. To get five stars, Microsoft needs to add a setting allowing people to reset their Tap Map without requiring them to start over with a new account.

Adding new words.... I know there is a way to add new words, but that way doesn't always work. Just a couple of minutes back, I was trying to add a new word and every time after I finish typing it wouldn't appear in the bar, a couple of minutes later and after erasing and typing the word numerous times, it finally appeared in the bar and I was able to add it to my dictionary. I've used this app before, a couple of years back, and I gotta say, you guys came a long way to perfect this app. Great job on that 👍 But an easily accessible comma and adding a new word to my dictionary has always been your foe. I really hope this review will give you guys some ideas on those issues, because this app has a lot of potential, which has been proven before. Keep up the great work 👌

It’s fine, but i have a problem…. It likes to shut itself off. Like when I start typing a message, it closes down or it glitches and always tries to switch to the basic keyboard for the phone. I've been through the settings and this is the only keyboard on there with full access. It's annoying because it's like it doesn't want to load and be used. I enjoy it and the themes but it's awful. And I know it's not me because this is also a new phone and I have the same problem! EDIT: Yes, I have deleted and reinstalled it, and it still happens. :/ I have gotten annoyed and tried other keyboards, but I hate them because of their layout. I like this one. I want it to work.

Let’s update. Long users are aware that the “twitch glitch” happens after every iOS update. This time it wasn’t updated before/immediately after the release. So I’m wonder now since iPhone has its own swipe legit Swift Key is giving up. I love this replacement. I like having my gifs and emojis key at the top and I enjoy the themes. Please update. We still very much prefer this. Also could we get more colors for the bubble theme? Update 1/4/24: I wrote my previous review years ago and forgot to update. They finally came back and have better troubleshooting for glitches. I still prefer this keyboard over the iOS keyboard for the convenience and colors! But I still want more colors for the bubble theme lol.

The best keyboard for iOS. I've tried so many: the iOS default, Fleksy, Gboard, etc etc etc. In each case, one or two clever features (Gboards nice numeric row access, Fleksy's customization) was offset by pure rage inducing frustration: Gboard won't autocomplete email addresses; Fleksy gets stuck on iOS 16, typewise is hex, Grammarly corrects but does little else, etc. Every time, I come back to SwiftKey. From how it learns my sloppy keypresses (the "tap map") to how it tries to autocomplete or autofill in every situation, it just works better for me. I can switch between sliding and typing, I still can do emoji search and gif search, and the space bar is pretty easy to hit consistently, something many of the others screw up. Downside? Microsoft killed it for a bit, brought it back, but I worry it's time is limited. Less customization than some others, but it does have themes and some control over the autofill dictionary. Still, I keep coming back, after again discovering how bad all the other keyboards are, how limited Gboard continues to be, and how frustrating Apple's own keyboard is, for it should be the hero, and instead makes us wish for something better. And these days, that better is SwiftKey.

Predictive text completely unpredictable. I don't know what's going on, but the last couple versions of SwiftKey do completely stupid things with predictive text. I can't even type an example here, because it keeps screwing up what I type. It generally works for words, but punctuation freaks it out. A double quote deletes the last character of the previous word, or a period causes a word to completely change after I've typed it. I spend more time editing my posts to correct these mistakes than I do typing them in the first place. Update- my accuracy with SwiftKey is getting worse and worse. It's OK if I type with both thumbs, but if I use just one thumb every other word is screwed up. It needs separate modes for one and two thumb typing. But my biggest frustration on ios is that SwiftKey never *sticks* as the default keyboard. I always have to switch back to it after locking the phone and then returning to the messenger app.

EVERYTHING You Could Ever Want In a Keyboard App. I've been using SwiftKey for years and it just gets better and better. I honestly don't know why anyone would want to use anything else for a keyboard app. Any time I get a new device I immediately set it to use SwiftKey. This is an extremely well thought out app. And now with the very cool animated keyboards that have been added, it's even better. Keyboard thrmes, spellcheck, grammar check, colors, font, animations, emojis, and everything else is a snap to personalize and set exactly how you want it. I absolutely love this app. And it doesn't bog anything down or crash the OS of any of my devices. So it's a good, clean app with no bugs that I've ever detected. It's one of Microsoft's best apps. I recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely love it!! Must read review!. Granted I never got the whole 'flow' thing down, I just turned it off in SwiftKey settings. EVERYONE who sees me typing always second glances and then goes, "Whoa, how'd you get a black keyboard?!!" My favorite feature is the constantly updating 'Tap Map' I only have one hand so I text with my right thumb only, and sometimes I miss the letter I was going for, SwiftKey actually adjusts those letters to better suit where you tap. You never notice it on your keys of course, it's all behind the scenes, BUT IT HELPS ME IMMENSELY!!! My personal tap map is actually kind of awesome. Also it learns how you use your vocabulary, and how you personally text, so you'll never get those random word predictions that are totally wrong. After using it for more than a year, it'll know the next word I plan to type as soon as I type the first letter almost 100% of the time. SwiftKey truly helps me! Thanks to them I type much faster, more accurately, and overall I like everything their app does. There are sooo many different keyboard themes too, I highly doubt you won't find one you absolutely love... Hopefully this review helps someone who's interested in customizing their iPhone keyboard. I love it!
