Best Knitting Magazine!. I love that each pattern and article is written to challenge me to learn more and be a more proficient knitter. This is not a beginner magazine. Though as a beginner, I learned lots from this group of people. I eagerly wait for each issue and adore the special issues. Keep them coming!

Worst company support ever!!. Love love the magazine but since new app constantly says order or pay and my subscription is good for three more months. Cannot access my old issues. I am totally fed up.

Seriously?. If I want to buy patterns or magazines I will seek them out. This was touted as a knitting app. It is nothing of the sort. It’s. Platform to sell print material online, nothing more.

Finally. After nearly a month, numerous emails between several people and a lot of frustration, I finally have access to my subscription. My year subscription purchased in the old app was recognized as a free trial during the app transfer- why it took weeks to be diagnosed and fixed I don't know.

At my fingertips. I love being able to access any issue, anytime on my phone! I often browse a magazine on my lunch break. The articles are interesting and I’ve printed several patterns to try. The “sock club”, historical articles, “on my needles”, and “master class” are some of my favorites. Awesome value that’s kept me reading for months!

Purchasing all back issues. I know a customer had a problem accessing theirs. Mine are all there. Really love the monthly MasterClass. UPDATED: new score = horrible I have always loved this app. I have lost access to over a hundred issues that I PAID FOR because I won’t allow them to manipulate my data and information with their new app. I wish I knew how to sue, and I’ll surprised that EU law permits this.

useless now. last update rendered this app completely useless. crashes constantly, can't get to the support menu to report the problem because it keeps opening an the last issue i downloaded even though i keep exiting it! you're supposed to fix the bugs, not introduce bigger ones.

Big problem. This new app apparently does not allow you to print a page from the magazine. When you are trying to knit a pattern with a chart and you want to follow row by row, printing it out is the easiest way--or importing it into another app where you can mark the rows. The old app allowed this. The new app has no option to do either. So my magazines are no good to me anymore. I will cancel my subscription.

Really like this one.... The magazine offers some unique but friendly styles. Modern with clean lines. I have subscribed to all the big ones for years and find I may cancel most in favor of this one going forward. Simple to use, notice of new editions and downloads handy.

How to get old issues back. This is what I did after updating to the new app. It took time but all of my old issues were back so it was worth it to me. Do not delete your old app. If you did, get it back and reinstall all of your old issues. Go to the Apple App Store and install the new app. Use the restore my purchases option. After a while you should be able to see those issues again and they should be ready for down load. If not, close the app, turn off your iPad, wait a bit and turn it on again. Go to the new app and sync. I did not delete the old app just in case. This is the most inelegant way of upgrading but it worked for me. The publication isn't exactly the most economical and one would think the IT group would had thoroughly tested the upgrade. Overall, five stars for a great magazine, one star for the upgrade process.

Enjoyable!. One of my little luxuries is reading this with my morning coffee.

Wonderful patterns. I really enjoy looking through the patterns and figuring out which one to do and then trying new yarns as well.

The best. I've had this magazine for a couple of years and have even got all available back issues. Every issue has great designs for family members. I'm a lace Knitter so I eagerly await shawl designs. They are always by top notch designers and even the ones I don't want to work are pretty. One of the great things is you can print from the magazine. Not all online subscriptions do that. The price is reasonable and if you subscribe for longer periods the price is even greater. I'm eagerly awaiting for my next issue.

New. The magazine has always been a favorite of mine. The new application now with the favorite feature allows me st save so I do not have to keep flipping through each issue to find particular patterns.

Knitter messed up. I just downloaded the new app and it won't let me sync with my old purchased additions. I just lost about 50 dollars worth of magazines!! That is not cool

Not happy!. I tried to find more information about canceling and ended up on an info page that would not let me go back. I better not be charged for this!

My previously purchased issues have disappeared.. I have been a digital subscriber for years. I purchased the digital magazine through the app using iTunes apple and downloaded to my iPhone. A few years ago, I lost my issues on my iPhone and was never able to recover them. However, at the time, I was able to access them on my iPad. This month all of my issues have disappeared again. I have enjoyed The Knitter for years. Unfortunately, if my issues cannot be restored, I am unlikely to renew my subscription. I have contacted them for assistance but the issues have not been restored.

Knitguru. I am in the USA, and an avid knitter. I tend to like pattern written in English by crafters out side of the USA. This magazine peaks my interest and satisfies my curiosity for what the rest of the world is crafting with and on. My one glitch is when something needs further explaining or conversation about the website there never seems to be a good way to contact you or get a response from you. I bought the subscription through the iTunes app. But overall I love this magazine

New Version Is Very Frustrating. I have been very frustrated with the new app. I have not been able to get all my purchases restored, even after contacting Customer Service. Every time I open the app, it asks me to subscribe...and I have had a subscription for over a year. It really like the magazine, but it makes me want to cancel my subscription. Please fix the issues!

Love the magazine, but the app is terrible. I love this magazine ...and would LOVE to see and access the issues purchased. Unfortunately, the app is slow and crashes before anything loads. Another reviewer describes what I see - black screens with a big 0% in the centre. Wish the publishers would send me paper copies of what I’ve already paid for so I can ditch this worthless app that never works.

Good now. At first, I had the same problem as Crafty Librarian but I stayed with it and eventually they were able to get all my old issues synced and the rest of my subscription. I do so love getting Knitter on my iPad and I'm certainly happy the issue was resolved but it took more time and energy to get that to happen than I thought should have been needed. Please don't mess it up again! I like it too much!

Knitter is super. The Knitter has a great selection of patterns and variety of skill levels. I look forward to each issue!

Worthless. Could have finished the socks I was knitting with the time I have spent trying to get this app to work. Will not recognize my iTunes subscription and I keep being told that it is fixed. 3 strikes.

I love this knitting magazine. I can hardly wait for each new edition to come out. I can almost always find at least one project to make. It is so convenient to take screen shots of a project and open it in my knitting software app. With just a little bit of set up, the pattern and all of the charts are at my finger tips so I can start knitting!

Worked good at first. I was thrilled with this at first, even buying the back issues at a special discount. It wasn't long after that that it suddenly quit loading the previously viewed magazines, giving a black screen and 0 indicating that it was not downloading. In fact it is on my iPad, but it just isn't opening. I've contacted support 2 times previously and got extremely long, complicated directions that I tried to follow. First time, it didn't work and the second was so long and complicated I never could figure it out! I thought it was a problem with my iPad and thought it would, rectify itself when I got a new one. Nope. Still doing the same thing. I've contacted support yet again. This is doing me no good if I can't read old issues! I cannot recommend this app as long as these issues continue.

Nice knitting mag. Love the magazine but subscription price is to high compared with other knitting mags.

Ripoff. The digital purchases do not download after payment. No customer device AT ALL! Don’t be ripped off like I was.

I like it. I do like the Knitter digital. I have really liked having access to the back issues, and many at a discount. Lots of good patterns, and a great way to archive and look at quickly. I use an iPad and have had no problems.

Baaad. App. I also lost all my old digital issues, this new app isn't working!! Customer support answered but twice their solution won't work. Yuk

customer. I spent $60 on a year subscription and bought it on my iphone. Now, I can't see it on my computer at all and apparently you can ONLY view it on an iphone or ipad. That is horrendous for knitting. I have bad vision and I honestly can't see the pattern well enough on my iphone to be able to knit. Really disappointed that there is no way to view this magazine on the computer if you are unlucky enough to have purchased it using an iphone.

I love The Knitter!. This app provides me with my favourite knitting magazine at a fraction of the cost of a paper subscription, with quick access without waiting for it to come in the mail. New issues load faster than some other digital magazines, which I won't name, and without having to refresh the app data every time.

Disappointed. I love the Knitter but paid $60 in MidJuly to complete my collection and still cannot access or read any of the issues. I am disappointed.

Back Issues. I can’t access back issues; they have disappeared from the app. Please fixed this glitch.

iPhone version won’t restore purchases. I bought all the back issues via the iPad version of the app. They won’t restore on my iPhone. Several times yesterday I also got error messages saying it couldn’t connect to the App Store. Seems to connect today, but still won’t restore purchases. The iPad version is fine though it seems to get stuck in a refresh cycle frequently.

The Knitter. I love this magazine. The new Knitter App honored my purchases on the old Knitter App for approximately three years and then one day, probably after an App update, they were gone. I owned nearly all the early issues. To add insult to injury, they frequently send me offers to purchase those older issues that I already purchased.

Really nice app for knitting. I enjoy this publication immensely. The articles are some of the best in craft magazines. The patterns are easily understood by an American and that is nice. The designers are highlighted and their selections are intriguing. There is a wide variety of projects by skill level. Nice to have this as an option.

VERY HARD TO UNSUBSCRIBE. I haven’t enjoyed the app at all. Too much a jumble of ordinary patterns. I prefer a focus on a style, yarn, size range. Or whatever. Quality please.

Love The Knitter. I love the magazine. The patterns aren't dumbed down and are well presented. The articles are interesting and educating. The app works for me as I can read any edition, anywhere, anytime. Yahoo!

The Knitter. Very poor app, issues don't show up on purchase, you spend all day trying to access what you have purchased. I do not recommend this app, buy the magazine from a newsagents. Would not have given any stars but one star is the minimum,

Poor app and poor service. Whilst I love the magazine, I have found the digital version unsatisfactory in the extreme. The latest version needs a clumsy registration process which means being unable to access a subscription for more than a month after purchase. Customer support is very poor and unresponsive to the actual problem. I’d try for access through your local library or Zinio instead.

Review. The content of the magazine is good but the app is money wasted. My magazines are difficult to download and then disappear very quickly.

Worst app ever!. Every month there’s a whole new way it fails to recognise my subscription. I’ve had to re-download my issues more times than any human being could count. Endlessly frustrating and wearying!

Room for improvement. Content when you can see it is great. Frequent Problems with loading. Bought back catalogue ( at significant cost)of all however despite multiple emails have not been given access to them. Proceed with caution!

Same problem with purchased special issues.. All my special issue purchases have disappeared with the update. Apparently I have to repurchase them. Have requested the app people to look into it but no response. I did show them the receipts dates of purchase of each special issue but they have ignored it Don’t buy the special issues.

Very frustrated with this new version. Before the new version of this app was available I purchased a number of previous issues of The Knitter through the old app. Now I cannot access my purchased issues. This problem has existed for several weeks and I believe I have just been charged for accessing the issue I was knitting from. This is not good enough - do not buy inti this magazine.

Janice. Very frustrating to work with this app because issues just disappear and take hours to try and restore. Some of the extra mini collections have gone? T wanted to knit the Jan sweater which was attached to issue 32 but it isn't there anymore.

View from an Aussie. I love the magazine. I find the patterns varied and interesting, there must be something for everyone in each issue. The special editions are great. I would like to see more of these. Lisa

The Knitter. Site crashes, previous downloads not showing when you upgrade your iPad and try to restore your purchases. Slow at downloading issues. My other knitting magazines that I subscribe to are much quicker and when restoring on a new device,all purchases are there.

A magazine with lots of useable Patterns!. I believe this is my favourite knitting magazine of them all! There are lots of terrific patterns in every copy I receive as well as great advice. The only negatives I have is too many emails received. Also, since it's out of Britain, Canadians are not included in the monthly draws which I do not think is fair as we are subscribers too.

The Knitter. Love this magazine! I have knit projects for others and they get so many compliments whenever they wear them. Designs from the very practical to the very elegant.

Good magazine. I really enjoy the Knitter Magazine for its articles, patterns, and Master Classes. However, the yearly subscription price has gone over the roof!

Really enjoy the magazine when I can get it to load. This magazine is wonderful, every issue has something I want to make. The only downfall is the magazine takes forever to down load and sometimes multiple attempts

Great app, easy to use. The app works great and my gripes are minimal. 1) I wish there was a readily available way to save patterns as PDFs to be able to use them in knitting apps like knitCompanion without having to take screenshots and convert those. The patterns would end up clearer. 2) I'd like for the magazines to be available offline for when there is no wifi access nearby. 3) Subscriber-exclusive patterns should also be provided to digital subscribers.

Great read. I came across The Knitter by accident and I’m really enjoying seeing the great patterns and different yarns. Sad that we can’t easily access the yarn from Canada.

Frustrating, part 2. Update - was happy that I would be able to play with the reading mode and FINALLY print a pattern. Downloaded the new version and can’t find how to print and touching the screen to modify the appearance didn’t work. Love the magazine but hate the app. Can’t save a copy on my iPad and can’t save a pattern in PDF or KnitCompanion which is the app I use to knit. So pretty useless except as eye candy

Not Happy With New Version. I used to subscribe... But cancelled when the New Knitter App arrived. I cancelled for two reasons: 1. Month to month payment option for a subscription is no longer available and I wasn't inclined to pay $149 US each for this magazine and Simply Knitting (a related magazine from the same publisher) per year; and 2. When I downloaded archived versions of the magazines under my transferred subscription all of the pages are a blank black page and unreadable.

Update that ignores your privacy. The update means you now have to sign in through gathered.how… which clearly states that they can gather information about you and share it. There are no alternatives, so unless you agree you have no access to previously purchased magazines. Terrible decision Knitter.

The Knitter. Provide lots of choice. Enjoy the patterns skill levels. Good articles.

Love it. I used to buy the magazine but I could only find it at Chapters/Indigo and I didn’t get there very often. I subscribed to the digital version and I bought all the back copies for a great price. Even the ones from nearly ten years ago are interesting.

Not working well. Really like the magazine but really don't like this app at all, always freezing and shut down. Did not restore all my purchase from previous app. I really preferred the old app you could read in portrait or landscape, this one only allows portrait.

I have lost all my in app purchases. Version 7.0.1 of this App can not restore my purchases and says “contact our help” no help link in app and here, the app help link opens up typeform.com and asks you to resister. How do I get help for this failed release instal? I had pursed through the app quite a lot of issues individually, year subscription and back issue offer. After latest update, I am unable to restore my purchases. Error message says to contact support. Can’t do that in app and support link here opens a site that I must register to first? How can I resort all my purchases?

Nice when it works. Nice app, but often quits unexpectedly, or fails to open.

The Knitter. I love the magazine, but am frustrated with the app. Every so often, an issue requires an update, but if you don’t notice that, it goes from “update now” to “buy now”. Better records need to be kept as to which issues are owned, so they don’t get dropped and need to be repurchased.

Upgrade. What a mistake. I cannot get this app to work correctly no how hard I try. I have lost all my back issues and cannot figure out how to get the remaining issues to download. It would have been a good idea to give appropriate instructions for “gathered.how”. I like this magazine, but not these app changes
