Good Choice from Developer. My previous review has been amended to reflect the developer doing what is right for the consumer. 5 star worthy action.

Such a useful app. No idea why Google maps doesn't give you this information since the can tell you if your on a toll road or not, but this is incredibly helpful to know how much tolls will cost before driving somewhere, especially when I need to expense them when I travel for work.

Tollsmart aggravating. Paid for update to get alt routes. Cannot. When I touch link to get alt routes it just says I can do this if I pay for the upgrade and becomes a vicious circle. Today I was using it and it keeps saying I ne d to put in a destination - I did. It is there. But app doesn’t see it. No checkmark by destination address, just a red x. And the address is one I use frequently on the app and never had a problem

Only gives one route. Got the app to see how much I'd spend in tolls, which it did, however it doesn't show more than one route (for my trip anyway) otherwise when pulled up on a gps app it gives you multiple routes. So I wanted to know what the cheapest route was based on tolls but it only showed one.

Liessss. The ad said this app would be free through Easter Sunday. Well I still got charged. It was the only thing I could find regarding tolls for a long trip too so I took that leap. Now I'm left feeling robbed in two ways. Paid for an app I didn't think I'd have to pay for and the info it gave me I felt was incomplete. I know one state has lots of tolls, yet the app only shows about 5 up in different states. Kinda wishing we had just held off on the app and went on a hope and a prayer for this trip.

Unsure of app. I went for the trial for commercial vehicle but could not get app to configure a class 8 5 axle truck - could have been my fault but the rate they gave me for a 4 axle truck was the same rate the four wheeler brought up. To unsubscribe or quit the trial use the purchase confirmation email from the App Store. Hey, there is no other way to cancel..,. Makes me doubtful of the app when it's setup to be so difficult to cancel.

Great. Great job on adding the truck option. That's really what makes this app worthy (for me and many others). Thanks so much for your efforts!

The only tolls app that actually works!. Really accurate and well designed.

Not worth the effort. If the “from” and “to” boxes won’t accept input but stay stuck on “current location” then the app is destined to be deleted

Not great. This is a great app if you are willing to travel the only route available in the app. If you want a set of alternatives, you have to pay extra :/ If you know which alternative you want, you can attempt to place "via-points" (pins) to coax the system to find the route you want, but sometimes this turns the computation into a complex mess. Also, I found at least one error in the toll computation. Hopefully these issues will improve in future updates.

No stars - doesn't work at all - total garbage. I tried this app and at first it sort of worked but it wouldn't provide the route I wanted that Google maps would provide so I made the in-app purchase for the alternate routes and after I did this, the app does nothing now. Every route I search for causes the app to throw an error about my needing to check my connection or that the network is overloaded right now and that it cannot find a route. Google finds 3 options. Apple needs to remove this piece of junk until the developer can prove it actually works.

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY. Finally an app that calculates your tolls, where have you been all my life..... Every Time i traveled i tried to google the cost of tolls and to no avail i could never find accurate information, until now. Found this app witch is 100% accurate cause i compared the toll rates with the rates on my last EZPASS transactions and its the same LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT and at fair price for the app you gotta have it!!!

Luv it!. Incredibly useful app shows toll costs alongside driving time and distance and alternate routes with cheaper tolls. My go to app now whenever I drive to NY or anywhere in the Northeast US.

Good app. Love this app

Best thing I've used. It's the only app of its kind I've been able to find. Wish they had it for the web.

Interaction flaws. Some basic interactions are not intuitive to use (1) the address auto-fill in the input field, which causes manual work for users to type addresses on their own. (2) the “Calculate Route” tab on tab bar is redundant yet still interactive, i’d suggest to not show it unless both locations are filled. (3) Some tabs in the menu panel do not work, for example, users might have no idea after they tap “Cancel”.

Works great. I have been looking for an app that calculates tolls on a map for a long time and here it is the only one I could find. Very precise, easy to use and navigate. Very flexible thanks to the via-point feature. Loving it!!!!

Nice app-but read fine print. The application is cool however if you have a commercial vehicle with more than two axles you must have a subscription which cost another four dollars a month I believe so just be aware of the fine print.

Rip off!. Save your money. I bought the app for 1.99 and then the "alternate routes" in app purchased for 3.99 so six dollars down the drain and the app does not work. I recently moved from Orlando to DC and according to this app I only spent 3.65. Which is NOT the case. I must have spent over 75$ on tolls easily. This app is not worth the purchase. I just hope my loss is someone else's warning.

Great App !. Does everything I need it to do. The "Alternate routes" feature is necessary to get the most from this app. It was a free upgrade at the time I downloaded, hope it stays that way for future users.

Pay extra for alternate routes???. The app seems to work reasonably well at finding the cost of tolls along a route. It could use son polish, but it works. The biggest thing is, you already paid $4 for the app but then you have to shell out $3 more if you want to see alternate routes to avoid tolls! $7 to try to avoid tolls… depending on where you go, it might be cheaper to pay the tolls than to buy this app!!!

Not Worth It. Even one star is too much. Basically a pointless app that doesn’t calculate tolls.

Nice app. but needs only alittle work. Nice app. I just hope that in the next version, you don't have to put the directions to see the toll charges, but also by just zooming in should show them the price. Also it would be nice to give you more then 1 path, instead of just giving you only 1.

Misguiding Costumers!. I want my money back! Please! I was on a website that calculated my gas for my long trip and the it told me to download the app. So I did, but this app has absolutely nothing to do with the web application. This is most definitely a scam. Apple need to look into this apps that hook you into thinking your getting something your not. And I hear what it actually does it doesn't because on top of what you paid for the app your still have to pay more 😂😂. Man did I fall in the this sucker scam. Fool me once, I guess.

Battery killer. This app is good, but i have 2 problems with it. 1st is using navigation on background no matter if you use the app, it’s killing my battery during the night if i forget to change my phone in full. 2nd- i tried to unsubscribe but it still charging me monthly fee. It’s saying that auto-renewal can be turned off from account settings, but this app doesn’t have settings.

Rip off. I'm sorry, I rarely write reviews of Apps, but I feel it in necessary to warn people of this apps scheme. First you buy the app, then put in your beginning and ending locations for your route. The first and only route shown in the first Google maps route. I know this because my google maps app started using my location when I used this app. Then I'm shown the prices. That is very useful, however, when I want to see an alternative route, I'm asked to pay again! THAT IS RIDICULOUS! What a grab for money!

Beware!. This app does not calculate tolls unless you pay $2.99 for the upgrade-- for alternate routes. It only calculates for the one route it chooses for you. If that route has nontoll and toll options, you cannot get the toll options without the upgrade. Since it's the only thing I wanted I deleted immediately. I don't like being deceived.

Great. Spent a bunch of time trying to calculate tolls for a trip from Ohio to Iowa and couldn't find anything to calculate all the tolls. I had to manually estimate each state. Tedious. Then I came across this app where it calculated all the tolls for me regardless of different states and tolls. Made my life easier.

Good but not fastest route. Love this app, useful info but I can't get it to give me the tolls for the fastest route. Living in a congested city, I don't necessarily use the route with the shortest distance, which the app seems to want me to do. I tried adding a "via" location but the app still used a route that's much slower and avoids tolls, so I couldn't calculate the entire trip with tolls. Please add the option for calculating tolls by fastest route.

Essential for any road travel. I've been using Tollsmart for my dog transport business and the website and app help me to provide accurate quotes to customers. I can also optimize routes to avoid/minimize tolls. Well worth the subscription.

Scam, a total rip off!. Ok, so 4 stars for the app functionality. It does pretty much what it should. The worst part is, you pay 3 bucks to get the app and it shows only the fastest route with toll info. If you want to see alternate routes or the routes that you would like to take then you need to pay additional 3 bucks to unlock the options. This is a greedy move, shows little to no respect for customers and no ethics. 0 stars.

Super useful app. Tried doing this by hand and it was an absolute nightmare. So glad I found this app as it calculates the tolls anywhere in seconds. I live in area full of tolls and so have been using it on a regular basis and it's been dead on every time.

The worst app I have ever used. Not usable at all. When you locate yourself you have to spell every word in your address carefully, they don’t give you auto prompt to fill up address. This is so lame. Don’t use this product it will give you a major headache. The worst thing is that it doesn’t calculate the fastest routes. A total waste of time.

Do I really have to give a star. I mean really. I got this app thinking it would be great to know how many tolls there will be and what the overall cost would be for the tolls. And so we have an RV so I wasn't to happy at the fact you had to purchase extra to get toll info on RVs, but hey I get it they need to make money somehow. But I didn't this such a highly advertised app that had some great reviews would rip people off. You pay like $3-4 in order to receive incorrect information. I bought the add on in order to get the information on RVs just to discover that they just put the same exact pricing as a regular 2-axle car. Like one would think that for such a price you would actually get the correct information. Needless to say this app did not meet the standards it gave itself.

App with a huge potential. Cool app. If you add commercial vehicles, at least commonly used 5 axels, I'll pay to get it. And I bet, not only I would pay. Also would be good to change name to "toll calculator" or something.

Worth the investment. This is the only app I've paid money for and definitely worth the price as it paid for itself on the first trip I used it for. I drive a lot for consulting work and now use it for every trip I take and have probably saved over $100 on tolls since downloading it. Definitely worth the investment.

Not too happy for one reason. Well i didn't read everything as i should've. I wanted to calculate tolls when my car is towing my trailer. That requires a $2.99 monthly subscription. I only use it here and there. I wish there was a flat rate. No reason to pay that monthly if only using maybe a couple of times a month. Its a waist of money. App is 3 bucks plus another 3 to unlock other features plus 3 montly. Maybe you guys could give like 5 searches a month for free for trucks, RV, commercial vehicles and trailers

Stopped working.. I don’t need to calculate alternate roots I just need to track the toll I pass through becomes NJ EZ pass is a pain. Well it stopped adding up my tolls one day. Sorry toll smart the GWB isn’t free.

Exactly right. The amounts were spot on. All I was looking for. Didn't need the in-app purchases, though the fact they tell you how much you could save and how much time would be added to your trip gives enough information to decide if the in-app purchase is worth it for you.

Very limited. In a desire to maximize income the developers have created a product with very limited functionality and, given the lack of response to a number of messages, haven't invested in customer service either. The product advertised at the price is not what you receive - buyer beware. UPDATE 14Apr: Thank you for your response. My point, which you have overlooked, is that per my (still unanswered) emails to you, if you have a 2 axle trailer the product does not calculate tolls unless you purchase the commercial version - this was not made clear when I purchased the product.

Bad app. Confusing. When I first download the app I thought it will be good but once I purchase 3 of their different subscriptions types which I think is kind of like a rip off.. The app seems to be pretty confusing he doesn’t specify which routes charge the most or cheaper. It’s all scramble hard to understand

Paid for upgrade and nothing happened.. Do not pay for any of the upgrades in this app! I’m angry because I paid for the upgrade, I clicked on it, the payment went through and no other routes appeared. Down at the bottom of the screen it said that there was an alternate route that only took eight more minutes and cost half the money but the only way I can get it is if I pay for the upgrade. I paid for the upgrade and it said that it would restore automatically and nothing happened. The app works great if you’re just trying to figure out one way to get to your destination and you don’t want to try and find any other alternate routes.

Great App! One of a kind and extremely useful.. Love this app. Keeps improving over time. Has been very precise when comes to prices and locations of tolls. The only app that has a continuously updated database of tolls. Simply great!

Terrible app!!!. This app is absolutely terrible!! It claims to be able to tell you how much you'll have to pay in tolls, yet it cannot. When I enter my route plans, it simply indicates that it cannot find a sufficient route. The GPS capabilities on this app are awful and without it, the app is rendered useless. It's a free app and now I know why. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your time, or data on this piece of crap! Sincerely, the world.

Worth it!. So I'll be honest, I didn't initially want to pay a few dollars for this app. Nor did I want to pay another couple dollars to see the different route options. But here's what I found when using it for my most recent trip from DC to Wisconsin: Route 1: $50 (w/o fee transponder) Route 1: $37 (w/fee transponder) Route 2: $9 (w/fee transponder), +45 min. longer Which route do you think I took? This app paid for itself 4 times over on its very first use! Well worth it in my opinion!

Great app - waiting for additional vehicle sizes. This app is perfect for generating routes on the map and calculating toll costs accurately. I'm only giving it four stars because it doesn't include costs for larger vehicles yet, but I'm told the upgrade is coming soon. Customer service is impeccable.

Not worth time or money. App doesn't locate or find addresses well. Can't even locate to correct city and state, when provided. When you finically get correct locations, the route provided is the longest and backroad route. For alternative routes and tolls look up is another app costing $3.99. Don't bother.

Very limited. This app only gives you one route and makes it very difficult to set an alternate route. Almost impossible to set Motrin it route without an actual address. I should've saved my money.

Worthless. Claims to be a free app but when you download it, you have to pay $3.99 to see more than one route when the whole point is to compare route costs so it's basically just a map. I already have one of those, thanks.

ridiculous. I paid 4 dollars for the "set vehicle" option and it only has an option to add a single axle for a trailer. Not helpful at all, and I'll be damned if I'm going to take a chance and hand them another 3 or 4 dollars.

Alternative routes. I paid for this app with all its benefits, and then all of a sudden the app is asking for more money to do the same things I paid for!

Include commercial vehicles!. Every trucker in the USA would be willing to pay for this app if it included commercial vehicle tolls!!! There isn't an app out there yet that does. Add them and I'll rate this a 5!!!!

Bait and Switch. I totally do not appreciate the pricing scheme for this app. The $2.99 version will not tell you the cheaper route. You must buy that option for another $2.99. If they left the price flat I would have given it 5 stars and shared it on Facebook.

Impressive, could use tweaks. This app was accurate for me in the Northeast with EZ-Pass. I'm impressed. Very basic, gets the job done but could use some tweaking.

Great for a free app but.... Needs to integrate a legitimate Map program as well as improving the interface for typing and picking locations. Also, constantly bugs you about upgrading the app.

Bad app. Even after paying an extra 3.00 I still can't compare route cost. It only compares through Google app but doesn't give you trip cost.

Unimpressed. You pay $3.99 for the app and then you have to subscribe to get alternate routes? I should've paid the $2 on the website.

Needs regular updates. The app needs regular updates to keep up with ever changing toll rates and toll additions. There have been several tolls added in south FL that this app simply has no idea exist. While this app can be helpfull; without regular updates it is useless. Not worth purchasing.

An incomplete app. This app is effective at giving toll prices along a route, however it doesn't provide nearly enough alternate routes to justify the $3 add on. Their information is borrowed from Google maps. Save your money and do not buy this app.

Requires triple the price in purchases to be able to use anything. The useful features, like finding alternate routes, are only unlocked with in app purchases that amount to triple the cost. Can you return an app?

This is fantastic. OMG! This is the best app ever. Now I can have enough cash with me when I want to travel.

Don't waist your money. Good about this app: shows you how much you pay in tolls. BAD: does not show you on the map where the toll is located. Does not provide routes to avoid tolls. If there is a free bridge 1 mile further it will still make you pay the tunnel i.e. Alterative route, which is extra 4-5$ to purchase does not work. This is not an app to avoid tools. It just shows you on the map how much you pay, based on the directions the choose for you. Avoid at all cost. Want refund.

Rip off! Does not work correctly, don't buy!. I entered address and it's tell me route not possible and I have no network but it's shows where I am. I regret spending my money on this app. Would had paid $6 if it had worked properly. Buyers beware!

Navigation. Alternative route feature is great long over due. But the app still lacks the feature of exporting the route to Google or Apple Maps, which is a deal breaker.

Not worth it. Didn't it find it worth the trial and keep getting charged $2.99 despite trying to cancel numerous times. They make it very difficult to cancel. Still getting charged over a month after cancelling.

Toll tracking doesn’t work. Don’t bother getting the toll tracking upgrade. Tried it on two separate phones and it doesn’t work - even while using it exactly as instructed.

Missed an entire $15 toll bridge.. This app cannot be trusted. seems to have no idea of how many tolls you have to go through in the NY/NJ area and tells me my route will have $0 tolls even though just 1 of the bridges you have to go through costs $15 (Bayonne Bridge) In other words this app will cost you dearly if you use it. What a joke.

Does it's job. App is good. Tells you the toll Locations, where you take a ticket, and the resulting cost.

Waste of Money. This app is a complete ripoff. I bought it thinking it would give me the toll totals correctly, but it doesn't even do that! You are better off using Google maps and an online free toll calculator. I wish I could undo this purchase. Please don't waste your money.

Connection Error. Was just about to buy the upgrade when it started giving me the "Connection Error Can Not Calculate Route " that's others are reporting. Worked great for a few days then this started. Off to find an alternative.

Needs improvement, does not handle trailers/campers. Tolls were not correct since we were pulling a small single axle trailer. Needs better google maps integration.
