Awesome information!. Solid, practical, easy to understand content that’s easy to apply in the real world. If you are a visual or auditory learner, this is a great tool. If you are the hands on type, it’s almost like they walk you through applying this content!

Game Changer. Obviously, there are a lot of courseware sites out there but I have stuck with Creative Live, having subscribed for three years. As a serious creative, I find the courses to be the most complete and detailed ones available. My only serious dilemma is finding the time to watch them all and deciding which courses to take next.

Tons of great content. Tons of great content presented in a simple interface!! Some great free live content, but also an enormous library to choose from. I’ve been a CreativeLive fan for years and bought my first course back in 2012 and have bought multiple courses since. You don’t need to pay for anything to get started, but I did mostly because the live content was so valuable that I wanted to have the content available whenever I wanted, including offline, which is important to me for my daily bus commute through varied cell and WiFi zones. Great content! Try it!!

My go-to place for learning!. CreativeLive offers great content on their site and now iOS apps! I own a couple of classes and it's great to be able to download them to iPhone/iPad for offline viewing. The lesson of the day makes watching/learning easy for those busy days when watching a full class is impossible. Would love to see updates to quickly search through the classes you own as well as streaming support to older generation Apple TVs.

Good. Only watched the first four lessons. I feel I am getting a little deeper knowledge on how the flash works with aperture, shutter, and iso. It is something that needs to be explained, trust me. While the teaching style is at times awkward, useful information is being taught. It is one more layer to my learning process. I feel I already have received my money’s worth. Thumbs up.

Well worth the time and commitment. I've only just begun taking a course and can already tell that this is worth the personal investment. If you have hit a wall or at a fork in the road. Stop. Invest in yourself and listen to those that have been there and can help you pull through.

Where are the captions/subtitles?. None of the video produced here have captions support. Very disappointed! Update: Even though I have captions/subtitles on already on my iOS device... the videos produced here remains the same...no captions. Update 2: I downloaded the app once again to test a free video called “Mock-up Your Designs to Impress Clients” and I made sure the caption settings (iOS 12) was still on. Unfortunately, the captioning situation remains unchanged. I would suggest that embedding the subtitles directly on the video rather than relying on Apple software. If you are able to fix the captioning issue, you got a customer for life.

Good, but not excellent. Creativelive’s website is clean and simple to navigate. It’s great. The app, on the other hand, is kind of infuriating when I can’t get it to work. If I’m able to download 14GB of video to my phone, wouldn’t it make sense that it should be accessible without data or WiFi? Yet, I’m prompted to log in, so the massive amount of data is just sitting locked up in my phone, as useless as the website is when I have no internet access. Another drawback is that within 3-6 minutes into a course video, a dialog box pop up box asks me if I want to share the link to social media. I have yet found out how to turn this off or prevent it from popping up. If I can figure out work arounds for these issues or if CL updates to fix them, I’ll give it 5 Stars. As it stands now, it’s just a big block of unusable storage data.

Excellent. Way of learning and using your time to become a better writer or start a podcast. Even when there’s no quarantine, I’m always taking online classes, doing creative projects, saving animals and the earth, reading, so I’m internally motivated, spending loads of time outdoors with my fur babies , but it’s nice to not need to leave the house to hone some of these skills. I do want to say (write), you can take all the classes in the world (that'd be me), but ultimately it comes down to you buckling down and doing the monotonous, nitty-gritty, work that no one is ever going to see, the day-in, day-out, giving up hanging out, checking your cell phone every 5 minutes, sacrifice, and just doing it, come-what-may,baby. It’s never going to be perfect, so just do it! 🌱🌍🌊💨🐬🐑🐖

A must for every creator. If you’re a designer, photographer, musician... if you’re a creator of any type you need to use this app daily! Watch a free lesson each day or build up your personal library to watch on your tine. Anything you’ve wanted to learn to further your creative skills, you’ll most likely find on CreativeLive.

Great lessons, but video playback is poor. I love CreativeLive and just bought the creator pass so I can learn to my heart’s extent. I would love to give a 5 star and would but playback on my new iPad Pro is not reliable. Videos look bad and pause. Have gigabit internet and even sitting right next to router video is not good. Have no problem playing same video through google chrome on the iPad. Hope this bug is fixed as it would be a lot more streamlined to have the app work properly.

Bare-bones app - lacks basic features. Allows access to creativelive videos, but lacks basic functionality you would expect. No search feature forces you to dig through menues and a ton of classes to find something of interest. The 'My Classes' section of the app doesn't seem to sink with web browser or iOS devices. The 'Recently Watched' section seems to be only recently watched on the Apple TV app. No access to saved classes from your browser.

Works OK… Sometimes.. The app crashes a lot more than I would like, and it spontaneously logs me out for no reason two or three times a week. Not sure why this is happening, but it’s really annoying to have to keep entering my email address and password — quadruply annoying because it doesn’t pull from my iPhone’s password autofill database. Come on guys, you can do better than this. Also, one more bit of feedback: it would be nice if it had a 15 second back button instead of 30 seconds, or a setting that would allow users to choose between the two. I’ve often just missed something that was said, and it’s annoying to have to go back a full 30 seconds just to catch what I missed in the last 5 to 10 seconds.

Why haven’t you fixed the continuous crashing?. I value learning and I love the courses offered. However, this app often malfunctions by not showing any video. In my research about this, it seems like crashes have been going on for a long time but nothing has been done about it. This comes across as either your not caring about your service to us or that you have incompetent developers. I’m siding with there being a lax attitude about this issue because all other apps on my phone work smoothly. I rate the content a 5 but the app’s functionality a zero. I realize that the app is free but in a way, we pay for it thru our payment of the courses that we purchase. I’m sure that if there was an ongoing glitch with your receiving our payments, you’d quickly find a way to remedy the issue. Well, our end of the interaction went well as you get our payments. We expect the service to match our devotion to learning and that your app properly presents the classes for which we pay. I hope that you read this. Moreover, I hope that you fix the issues. Update - Great content..app needs some work!. Incredible content..only complaint is once lessons are watched on iphone or iPad they are all skipped when they are watched again. You have to manually select each lesson. I often listen to courses while driving and it makes it a real challenge to have continuity. Wow - I must admit they’ve reacted incredibly quick and made the change. Excellent work. 5 stars!!

My Favorite go-to place for inspiration!. The content and present its are always amazing and I love the fact that I can watch an episode a day for free! It allows me to watch first before making the commitment to buy. What an incredible resource...I would so much more money if I took these as workshops!

Ben Willmore. I basically learned how to use Photoshop in a month. This is a complex and often obscure program that is so powerful, I would never master it in 10 lifetimes. But Ben Willmore allowed me to understand and apply many of its functions in a very comprehensive way and also made me aware of many features I wasn’t aware of as well as excellent insight on the thought process you need to have when using PS. I am now going to go thru his Lightroom Course because even tho I am proficient in this program I am sure we will show me things I wasn’t aware of. Thanks Ben! You are a very cool guy!

Ben is great. I have enjoyed Ben’s Photoshop class so much that I bought his Lightroom class since Lightroom is where I spend most of my time. Ben does not repeat himself when he teaches he makes his explanation simple yet detailed without saying the same thing more than once.

I like the idea but.... Ok so i like the one free class a day thing. It works perfectly for what i want to do. Except one thing. I wish that the free class everyday continued in the course i last focused on the day before. Because id rather be able to finish a basics course, over the span of a week before moving on to the more advanced course. Because some of us want to learn, but dont have the money to pay for every course we want to learn. Seriously one class a day for free is actually perfect. I just wish the class you got for free was the next one in the same course your focusing on. I guess what im asking for is a more personalized experience.

Needs work. I love CreativeLive. Unfortunately, its lack of a feature on the iPad is making me leave a less than 5-star review. I like taking digital notes as I watch something. But you don’t give the option to use split screen in the app where I can take notes while watching a video simultaneously. Instead, I have to play the video on my phone to take notes on my iPad. It’s ridiculous to not have this feature and keeps me from being more active with the app. PLEASE enable split screen. Thanks.

Offline features are a mixed bag. There’s options to download videos to save data and it seemed like a good idea to use when I’m in areas with limited connectivity. However, I didn’t think to open the app for the day in a place where I did have signal, so I couldn’t actually watch anything because I guess they were afraid in the <10 hours since I downloaded the apps I might have cancelled? It’s a little bit silly that the offline features require it have access to the internet multiple times a day to work.

Lacking some substance. They talk a big game, but it’s not as serious of a platform as I thought it would be. There’s some decent stuff on here, but there’s also a TON of feel-good, woo-woo, substance-free rubbish. Aaron Alexander’s class is one example among many. I think there is also a missed opportunity for a more interactive learning experience, beyond just watching videos.

Sooo worth it. I know the cliche “life changing” sounds inflated. But it’s so true. I was “guilted” into buying this (thank you family) and will never regret it. I revisit both the audible version and the video every week to re-energize my creative side that gets beat down by the day-to-day. I’ll say again sooo worth it. Thanks Chase.

No longer works.. I was all set to buy a pass for this but it no longer works on my iPhone. I had an email login, which I can still use on the website, but the app will no longer allow me to type in an address. It offers Facebook and Google login, which I don’t use, and the box is there for email sign in, but I can’t actually type in it. I’ve been on both the website and the page here in the AppStore, and none of the menus I have followed offer me the option to submit this issue. If it’s here somewhere, it’s not designed to be readily accessible. Since I needed this “on the go” for my current lifestyle, I’m now passing on the pass, and relieved that I hadn’t already paid for it or bought more classes....

Caution with App purchases. Love Creative Live courses. I recently purchased a course using the app. I normally do this on their website but did it within the app this time. Well, I was billed twice. Once by Apple and a second time by Creative Live despite ordering this only one time. Apple refuses to address this and I am waiting for Creative Live to respond. Big glitch with in App purchase, so beware of this feature. Other than that the courses are excellent and the app indexes and plays them all well.

Great app and content, but missing two things. Love the app, it works great and the instructors all seem very knowledgeable. I would and have recommended this platform to anyone looking to expand their skill set and invest more in themself. The only things that would make this nearly perfect is the ability to cast the videos to a streaming device (that’s not Apple TV) and adding split screen functionality for iPad users so you can watch on one side and take notes on the other.

App is great. So far telling me not to buy. I like and appreciate watching daily lessons and previewing b4 buying. I'm only 2 lessons in with Chris Knight but so far, not impressed. He give lots of words without saying much. I'll follow a few days longer and if he doesn't get better, I won't be buying his book.

Game changer!. Creative live has amped up my photography game! I am a visual learner, and this is exactly what I always needed! And while learning what I came here to learn I bounced around each day with my free lesson, and happened upon a style of photography that resonated with me! I found my niche in that class and bought it too! I couldn’t sing your praises any higher! Y’all need Creative Live! No matter what level you’re at!

Very helpful. I shoot with a DSLR. Recently in hiking and backpacking trips I’ve decided to ditch the gear it’s just too cumbersome but was unhappy with my phone shots, they just didn’t have the same wow factor and I didn’t understand how people were getting such great shots with their phones. I learned a lot in this little class, mostly that I was not using it to it’s full potential because I never took the time to learn the features. Great class, changed my cell photos! Thank you.

Excuses😁. I absolutely love this app! I love having an excuse to learn, and yet I don’t get bored, i learn so much about photography, in each video it’s packed full of things I would have never even heard of. It’s so helpful! I give it 5 stars by heart, but every class has about 7 lessons, and they cost around $20. But the first class is free, so I would definitely try it if I were you!!!!😉

One of the best values available!. I originally signed up for one $29 Fast Start class to get up to speed on my new Fuji X-T3. I was so impressed with the instructor (John Greengo) that I became interested in his Fundamentals of Photography class. When I saw an offer for a yearly subscription for all classes (Creator Pass) at just $149, I had to sign up. To have access to all these amazing experts in a wide variety of subject for just $149/year is incredibly valuable.

World Class Education. I live in the Dominican Republic. Getting access to good education on creative disciplines is quite limited down here. CreativeLive has helped understand photography a lot better without leaving my country to study abroad. I’ve purchased a few courses already and my skills have improved dramatically. I’d definitely recommend their courses to anyone in the creative business.

Please keep it 100 years more. As many of us, live happens , and we come and we go, but for me in all these years since I discover CL , there is always and amazing topic and a great insight and A Ha! Moment . So much to learn , such a great speakers . I am sure I will be coming back forever . Please keep it going ! Great job!

My go to learning tool. I love Creative Live. The classes offered are top notch. I’ve learned so much and continue to learn more. I am grateful to other photographers for sharing their experiences and knowledge with others. It is wonderful that you can watch a class live (or a rerun) and then you make the decision to purchase. No fast forward or rewind. Not only is there not a fast forward or rewind it is hard to grab the little line to move it back or forth, so until they change that, not only will I not buy anymore classes from them, but leave my review as a one star review. Thank you for fixing that.

MSW, Certified School Counselor, Making a change. As an MSW who was on the clinical track, and as a former school teacher and certified school counselor who has been working hard to evolve to face fears and live a purposeful life, this course was extremely insightful. I know changing anxiety into excitement works because I’ve been doing that for years, I’ll say our divine creator put it in my spirit years ago and it definitely works. Thank you for explaining why it works. I will definitely start using the 5 second rule as I continue on my path of determining what’s next, now that I’m officially confirming that I’ve been hiding. The information regarding the Traps is extremely helpful and makes sense. I’m tired of analyzing why I feel the way I do, so action it is. Thank you Mel-this Course was incredibly helpful. I prayed and meditated before I got on Instagram and saw this.

Little use but always the best!!. Even though I myself have not use the app to its full potential I will recommend creative live as one of the best sources of information and finding out the details and procedures to look towards when wanting to become anything. Film maker, Musican, business man/woman.

Awful experience website is much better.. Most infuriating app. Been a long time creative live viewer and decided to give the app a try with my new iPad. App seems to work. A little slow to start up but then downloaded content like a pro. ...but that was it. Won’t play downloaded content no matter how long I wait. I usually end up watching from the site than wasting even more time on this app. I just can’t understand how such a great organization as creative live can have such an awful app.

Wish the app worked with Chromecast. There are a lot of great classes, particularly the ones by Lisa Congdon, Megan Auman, and Jasmine Star. Some of the older classes could really use an update, but you can preview the content before buying them to see if they’re still a fit for you. The only big disappointment for me is that you can’t cast the videos to your TV via Chromecast.

Amazing for photography. I absolutely love all this content. There’s a wide variety to choose from and I find the presenters / experts really conversational and I get very sucked into what they are saying and doing (it’s easy for me to get distracted). The content from CL also has moderators that ask really good questions both from the online crowd and themselves when they sense going deeper or clarifying could be helpful. The things I’ve learned here probably would cost me thousands of dollars in classes. For me even if some of these are shot a bit ago - it’s still applicable for photography - so this holds over time.

Innately Creative. Being a Creative my whole life, and yes I believe Creative SHOULD be capitalized, the platform that is Creative Live is such a testament to whom Chase Jarvis is as the man & Creative himself. Having it at my fingertips makes me know that at any moment, I can open Pandora’s box, and satisfy any creative needs or desires I have. How they have vetted the teachers to the subject matters they have chosen...it is all a brilliant collection for the world. I couldn’t recommend it more if I had stock in it myself. My hope is that it is with us for generations to come and only gets better, like age, or a fine wine for my kids and their kids. Thank you Creative Live for making the world a better place.

Great classes!. This is my new favorite pass time! I have learned so much on a wide range of topics. Great quality instruction with valuable supplement documents. I love that all my classes are kept in my library and I can review as needed. I wish I had found this years ago. As a Seattle resident I would love to join in the studio classes. Catherine

I get the feeling that they really care about people, and helping people, and aren’t just providing a service to make money. What is the point of good classes if they apps you use to watch them doesn’t work. What is the point of an Apple TV app that doesn’t work? I subscribed for a year to this with the intention of watching it on tv. But it is broken and has been for a long time. Years apparently. It used to work because I used it a couple years ago. I want a refund. Then I found out the app on the iMac doesn’t work either. It crashes every time I bring it up. So apparently this company is going under. I would have liked to have known that before I spent so much money. The classes are fine but if I the apps you use to watch them don’t work what’s the point? Save your money. Stay away,

Who needs college when you have CL?. I like that I can download my lessons and watch them on a plane. The quality of education is solid. Sometimes it’s so dense that I will stop and process the info only to pick it up a day later. I get to learn at my own pace, take notes at my own pace and there’s no homework.

CreativeLive is amazing. One of the great things about CreativeLive is I can explore so many classes and instructors, especially with the all-access pass. There are a ton of amazing courses that I may have been hesitant to buy individually because they might not be my thing. But with the all-access pass, I try different classes and instructors and it’s really been a game changer for me. I’ve taken Brooke Shaden and Kelly Brown courses which seemed outside my typical interest, but they opened me up to a whole new level of creativity and photography. CreativeLive is amazing.

Great app. I think this app and the website are great. I love the in depth learning and the bonus materials. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the classes are a little pricey and there should be more free content. Not just one free video a day but also free bonus materials. Maybe even a reward program that can earn free classes. Things like daily specials and buy one get one offers. I feel the mobile app should also be a little easier to navigate when searching for specific types of classes.

Air Play improvements needed. The only issue I have is that the airplay is only mirroring my device which results in an image that is smaller than the ratio of my tv screen. There are actually a few bugs in the “airplay” functionality of the app. Consistently crashes on me when using Apple TV. Just bring this function up to industry standards and will become one of the best apps in the App Store.

Great, but that Apple TV app is 💩💩💩💩💩. Creative Live is phenomenal. So many courses, so many topics, and then they went and added yoga! Happy camper here, with only one exception, and that’s a big one. Why only 3 stars, when I’m so incredible happy with the quality and breadth of the content offered? Well, the Apple TV app is phenomenally bad. You can’t access your favorites (I have the All Access pass), you can’t search for classes, and there are only a fraction of available classes displayed in each category, without fail the one class you want to watch is not pictured. Sure, I can AirPlay, but the purpose of having an Apple TV app is not having to do that. It’s kinda stupid, well, incredibly stupid, to have to tie up two devices to watch a video.

Great place to learn. I have struggled for years to find classes that I can take after work. It seems creative classes are for the students and the retired. With CreativeLive I have access to more classes than I could have imagined and can take them on my schedule. I highly recommend the Creators Pass if you plan on taking more than one or two classes. The only negative is that some photography classes are outdated in terms of social media advise. But general sound business practices never go out of style so you can alway learn something from those classes. And while you are at it listen to the podcasts they are very inspiring! Enjoy the learning!

Great app but would love to see chromecast added. I would love to be able to chromecast the videos from this app to my tv.

This is so cool!. Today I bought an inexpensive course on photo compositing. As I loaded up the app for CreativeLive on my phone I was asked what lesson I would like to take today - for free! And another tomorrow and so on. I’m so impressed with this feature and the quality of the content I have accessed so far. Berry

I heart learning !. Sooo much goodness in this app! The fact that I get a daily free video is even more exciting! So easy to use and so many great videos to learn from I just have to find the time to watch them all. Move over Netflix .. it’s the new binge watching for me. Thank you

Feature requests. Offline downloads & free classes. Paid classes which are reasonably priced and the content is great quality. The app doesn't glitch at all. I mean there's absolutely no reason to complain here. However, when we RSVP to watch a live stream, underneath the lesson tab can we have a timer (e.g 2 days,3 hours, 15 minsters, 9 seconds and also the time the stream begins in different parts of the world, I.e. Sydney 02:00, Perth 12:00 ) Otherwise keep up the good work everyone at creative live and the app team 😊👍

Ryan & Rocco. I must congratulate these Rocco & Ryan for a great course on Wedding Photography. All encompassing and I would recommend it to any photographer starting out in Wedding/engagement photography. I have previously attended one of their courses at Kayell which I thoroughly enjoyed. Self paced learning at its best. The people we want to learn from teach us the skills we want to know. My first stop for learning new skill sets in the photography and design world

Downloads fail or disappear regularly. Extremely frustrating to think a download has synced but go out on a walk and half the downloads won’t play. Then when back on WiFi, trying to work out what has worked and what hasn’t is a nightmare. The played ticks disappear randomly. Sometimes when re downloading the previous downloads disappear which means you can’t rely on anything to cue you on what has played and what has worked, and what has failed and hasn’t been watched. I play these back to back without seeing the titles or the video while I walk, so the titles don’t help. Please fix the user experience!!! It’s probably 90% there IF IT WORKED! I’m trying to download a course I bought last night and it’s just sitting there doing nothing now. What’s the bet the feedback is delete restart and download one by one 🤔🤯😡

Free Daily Video. The ability to watch a free video daily is an awesome addition. Just wish it would keep track of watched videos. But overall A+ app.

Videos don't work sometimes. It's very hit and miss, often the videos for my purchased content won't load

Offline not working, making this app pointless.. I downloaded a whole course. And when I watch it, I found it ate up a lot of my celular data. After turning the celular data off for this app, I can no longer watch the lessons. What’s the point of downloading for offline watching when you need to watch it with celular data turned on and unable to control how much data this App use? Better download the lessons from a computer and transfer the videos to a video watching app on the phone.

Easy to get around. This is a great app and is very intuitive. I would give an extra star for making the screen landscape for the iPad. Seems like its only made for a phone.

Love the content, the app frustrates me. I love the content and have bought multiple courses over the last year. I fly a lot, so the ability to watch classes offline is especially useful. That said, the app’s offline ability is frustrating. I get logged off the app and then all the downloaded lessons are missing. This has happened multiple times now. Also, I would like to be able to sort classes so that ones I don’t want to see again doesn’t appear or appears at the bottom of the “my classes” list.

Excellent learning platform, great speakers!. I'm a huge fan of Creative Live - there are free classes on air that allow you to see if you like the teacher's style and content. It's very easy to use and there are often sales that allow you life time access to great educational content at a very affordable price.

Great site but app needs updating. The courses and the overall content that is offered is fantastic - both for free and with paid options (I would recommend a subscription). But the app is out of date at the moment and doesn’t offer new features like split screen on iPad.

Love having CreativeLive in my pocket!. CreativeLive has been the most valuable website for the last 3 years for me. Now, having all the amazing content on my phone will allow me to absorb even more skills, tricks and life hacks to ninja my way into doing what I want to do with my life. Thanks CreativeLive!

Frustrating to use. This app is frustrating to use. Every time I go my Library it’s asking me to buy classes that I already own! I understand you want to sell stuff but why not make it easy for people who just want to watch a class they already own?

You get what you give. Thank you for the inspiration, information and generosity in sharing with the community ! Truly forward thinking, and you get what you give 10x fold!!!

Really practical easy to follow advice. Can’t wait to start using the tools from Lisa Congdon’s course to defeat overwhelm and start managing my time and productivity as a creative person. She set out and explained the concepts really well . I ended up watching all the videos in a row because what she was explaining just made sense. Took heaps of notes. Not great. Lessons are not bad but you must have WiFi active. Bought to watch while flying but downloaded lesson don’t stay on your device. Have downloaded about 6 times now and they disappear the next day. Will not get anymore lessons.

Offline rarely works. This app is fine for watching great content while you have an internet connection, but has consistently failed to provide that content offline. I’m switching back to downloading the content from the website and putting it on my device myself. This is a pity, because I got this app to avoid the need to do it.

Fantastic Resource. Chase Jarvis is really onto a good thing here. I have started using this as a resource for learning more about photography and videography, and the classes a fantastic. I highly recommend this to be a part of your learning toolkit.

Offline videos don’t play and don’t delete!. Buggy app! When you download videos that you have purchased to watch offline, there is a 99% that they will not play back. You can’t play that video unless you delete it and stream it. Downloading it again results in the same problem. Worse, there is a bug that stops videos from being really deleted from the device and so it keeps on building up and up in storage until you have to delete the app completely. Then start all over. I have been asking for support for the last few months with no resolution. They are not responding!

I love this app. So easy to navigate around, lots of great free live classes. As soon as I logged in it took me straight to all of the classes I have previously purchased.

Creative Learning done well. Photography and post processing are my main interests. Some of the material is a bit dated but the style and presentation is flawless. Lindsay Adler in particular has given me the confidence to enter the world of portrait photography.

Great videos, but app has problems. The lessons and everything about the company is great. However, for the last few days I haven’t been able to use the app properly. The skip back controls don’t show any more, nor the progress bar. The video stops and starts (because of the terrible Australian internet), but the play becomes so interrupted, that it becomes unwatchable. So, the play controls and the ability to download and watch offline is super important, but these aren’t working!

Love the app!. I love Creative Live and the value that it offers, simply incredible. I am super excited about the app and have had no problems using it so far, I only wish that I could download the videos for the class that I own so I wouldn't have to steam over data when moving around, maybe this is already an option, but I haven't come across it yet. Great app can't airplay. I like that it keeps playing if I leave the app. I like that it can cache the videos. It plays speedy. Just can't airplay to the tv.....yet. Great way to enjoy content I've already purchased.

Love.... Love the layout, affordability, accessibility and variety. I would have given 5 ⭐️, but I've tried to download lessons on two different devices to watch later without success. Overall amazing content though, and I love that I can learn, explore, replay/review the courses I purchased!

Buggy. It forgets context you’ve paid for. Yesterday it showed both my courses. Today the one I haven’t started is gone! You can’t go back and rewatch. There seems to be a bug that hitting play on a previous segment results in a bit of spinning and a black screen. It does this almost all the time. If it does play it will only be from where you left off... not where you want to rewatch. You can watch some videos offline but randomly some you choose to download will never be downloaded... no matter how often you try.

Creative Live. Invaluable. Every person out there could benefit from something they would find here; it is one of the most used apps on my phone.

No video. Everybody is so pleased with this app but on my iPad, the video doesn't play, only audio.

Easy to use App. I am very glad with the App, it provides me with quick access to my lessons. It is not possible to write reviews, and prices are different when compared with the website, but other than that very pleased.

Hello new photography skills!. I love having the app on my phone, it's perfect for keeping up with my purchased and on air classes during my breaks at work. However the app has crashed on me a number of times and I've had to re-download it. I also looove the fact that you get to choose a free class lesson every day, super awesome to try out new courses that you might want to take!

Downloads dont work. It downloads non stop

A true gem that all photographers should watch. I’ve been a semi professional photographer for 25 years and lived in a small southern Alberta town shooting mainly weddings. Using medium format film cameras and manual flash TTL was not around back then. Although I still keep up with photography somewhat I have never really understood TTL. An ad popped up for this course on Facebook and I thought what the heck let’s give it a whirl. I was instantly drawn to Mike and Cody’s teaching style and after watching a few minutes and seeing a few sample images I was hooked and watched the entire series in just 3 days. To be honest I felt disappointed, not in the course but in myself that I had not learnt these techniques years before. That and been much more creative rather than just another cookie cutter photographer. So here I am almost 58 and feeling like a kid on Christmas morning with lots of new creative ideas on how to use my camera and flashes so I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to get the most out of your TTL flashes. Two thumbs up and thanks for sharing your talents Mike and Cody😃

Love "one free video a day". A few months ago they announced you could watch one video a day free, and it seems to work. You watch the first 30s or so of any video and it will ask you "Do you want to make this your one free video today?" Great for figuring out if the level of the class and the instructor's approach are right for you before you buy.

Great but. I like the app, but I would love if it could support multitasking so I can take notes while I watch on the iPad

Great way to learn from anywhere. I love Creative Live, and the app is a great way to watch classes wherever I happen to be - on the bus, at the coffee shop, eating lunch, wherever. The only thing I don’t like about the app is when I go back to rewatch a video before completing the course, which I do often, it doesn’t continue to the next video in the sequence - i.e. if I’ve watched up to video #7, and then want to go back and start again from video #3, instead of continuing to #4 after that video finishes it will then jump to video #8 since technically that’s where I left off. Not sure if that explains it very well.... But it’s a minor frustration for an otherwise great way to learn.

Fantastic!. I've been waiting for this! I don't have the new AppleTV, but I can still airplay my classes from my iPad/phone to my old AppleTV. Works great! But kind of bummed I don't get popcorn included... heehee jk!

Great classes, bad app. Spent HOURS downloading to watch on an extended trip away from internet access. Tried to add a couple more lessons at the last minute. Adding more downloads in the same course ERASED all of my previous ones. Given how slowly the downloads happen, this is beyond frustrating and a major weakness of creativelive overall. Very unhappy. Ruined my plans.

Great app but needs download option. This is a great app. Awesome interface. I only wish I could use it to in transit by downloading purchased content.

Downloaded episodes not available. I love CreativeLive, but this app is a disaster. I downloaded several classes, the app said they were downloaded, but when I watched them the app burned through 3/4 of my available data anyway. Most episodes that my app says are downloaded won’t play without using data.

I Can’t say enough!. You should be looking past the issues that this app might cause you. The app for me does it’s job. What you should be looking at is how great of a job CreativeLive team does in offering a wide range of creative and well put together courses and in bringing industry name professionals to teach them. Sometimes I feel I’m part of the workshop. They live broadcast for free the event then you may wish to buy them to keep, but sure it’s worth the investment plus there are tons of sales going on all the time of past courses. Thanks to CreativeLive I’ve learned most of my photography skills.

Awesome for learning...costly courses. I love this app. I think it’s awesome that every day you can have one free lesson. And there are promos and free partial courses which are valuable. I do think the courses are expensive, I wish they could be priced down just a bit, or have package deals. I see the value in them, and I can see that some of the courses come with many materials. However, with so many courses that I would like to take, The costs are inhibitive. I love this concept, I love this app. I’m sure to spend money taking courses. Maybe a rewards or points system to help with the costs for return buyers could be an option. **i hope the developers will take some further cost savings into account as the platform continues to grow. Thank you for this awesome app! I look forward to using it more

Enjoyable content. So far I have taken a variety of classes that are helping me to make better choices in my life and have given me guidance in how to change my mindset to achieve my goals. The instructors have been intelligent, interesting, and informative.

Learning the menu. Although my camera was a Panasonic G7 and not the GX7 the information was applicable to both. Now it will take practice and the PDF is very helpful to go back to. I have listened to the course or seconds of at least 2 times. John Greengro is an excellent teacher.

Good app, would be great with multitasking support. I’ve been enjoying the content and the well-built app. Watching on my iPad Pro however, I’ve been disappointed that the app doesn’t support split screen, or picture in picture. I’d like to be able to take notes or do other things while watching.

Hiking up a hill with an iPhone.. I am so excited to try this iPhone camera out on hikes! I am looking forward to the pics using a light camera instead of lugging my camera up a hill, even though it’s a mirrorless Sony!

Organized, straight forward, humor, compassion, focus.. Excellent presentation. Well organized, articulation is great, enunciation is great, well paced, easy to listen to. Academically, well thought out and delivered, real life scenarios planning and explaining wins and.... losses. Humble and excited. Great job.

Snap Judgment. Mostly enjoyed the class, but too, too many vocalized pauses and fillers. These are the professionals so expected professional quality. At times, wondered how did they plan for this class because at times, they could not articulate their thoughts well. I’ve seen this before.. where someone is especially great at their craft, but lousy speakers & teachers.

I am learning so much!. I have taken multiple classes on CreativeLive and all of them have been so helpful, informative, and well structured. I highly recommend it!

Expand your horizons. Great app for motivated learners. I am loving one free episode a day, and started to expand my skill base with an annual pass. It is a great companion to the uber inspirational Chase Jarvis Live podcast. There is so much runway here to make a change in ones life.

In love!. Absolutely love this! I have learned so much about audio from some of these courses! My only gripe, for some reason the pause feature only mutes the video and I have to rewind or close to get the sound to come back.

Why is so hard to implement the offline right?. Sometimes I wonder whether their developers really test the app. Every time I download a lesson to watch on the road the app has a glitch, like complaining there is no WiFi (doh) and not giving any option to watch the content already there. Or at least an option (UX please) to show in one place all downloaded lessons.

Love that there's an app now!. I've been on Creative Live for years now learning about photography and am so happy to see there is an app for easier access. I just wish you could purchase from it, but otherwise it's awesome!

Paymental. I wish there was another way to pay for the classes. I have a iPhone and we have a family sharing account, which I do not want to use. I just want to use my credit card or PayPal.

Best things that happened to me. I wish everyone would experience Creative Life the way I do. Life changing, I feel like I learn more than all my years in college. You learn practical real life stuffs. I'm obsessed with you guys.

A must have learning platform.. Content is beyond words. The only reason why I don’t give this app a 5 star is because lessons don’t have closed captioning (like in the computer or the Apple TV app) I will suggest you add this feature soon.

Best Photography Lessons. I just love being on this site!! I’ve learned so much watching the classes and putting them into action. Keep up the amazing work!

Lacking. I love creative live content. But without the ability to share my video with my smart tv, without having to spend money on an appletv, it’s virtually worthless. If I wanted to view a video on a small screen I would use a laptop. Many other video applications can stream a video to any smart they are connected to. This lack of basic functionality is the reason for 2 stars.

Actually life changing. The classes on creative love have taught me everything I know about photography. I completely have Creative Live to thank for being able to ditch my day job and go full time as a photographer!

Fundamentals of Photography. I think this is my third time watching this class. I’m sure to watch it several more times because it’s packed with great information and I like John as an instructor.

iPad Pro Screen Support. Love the content, great classes and teachers. However, the app needs to be updated for iPad Pro screen sizes. iPads have been out almost 7 months at the time I’m writing this and still no support. This results in so much wasted blank space on the iPad screen.

Two suggestions global setting and better navigation. I just sign up the service. Find it hard to find the course I want to watch and video playback speed need to click again to after each video is annoying.

Love this resource. I love that I can easily access the classes that I've purchased as well as try out any new class for free. There are so many choices for different classes at varying levels of experience.

Good courses on a variety of creative topics. The instructors are good and thorough. Obviously the courses are instructor dependent but overall very good. Some courses are short, others very long. Generally not disappointed.

Can’t log in with Google. On my iPad Air this app just takes me on an endless loop asking me if i want to use Google to log in. After selecting yes and choosing my Google account, rather getting access to my numerous classes, I just end up in an endless loop where it keeps asking me those same two questions. There is no FAQ or help topic that tells me how to solve this issue. I’ve reinstalled the app, rebooted and reset my iPad to no avail. I’m running the latest ios version.

Awesome class. Awesome teacher gets into detail but right to the point. Found this course easy to follow and learned a lot and able to retain without feeling overwhelmed. Will take more courses from this teacher for sure.

The BEST app for learning photography!. The classes are thorough and the instructors or simply the very best in the business. This was the best money I’ve ever spent to learn the art of photography. you will not be disappointed, this much I can promise you.

Garbage. App supposedly allows you to download classes for off line viewing. Tried to do so for a trip, every other if that segment downloaded. Further, trying to download starts the session running vs. downloading most of the time. Complete waste of money investing so much in classes I must watch with a dedicated stream via the Internet. Given the overall cost and investment in creative live I would say this is the worst app I have ever used.

Love it. Having this app is so convenient and handy. It works great, I have never had a problem with it. If you’re a photographer lover than I recommend this app.

Video hangs frequently. I just downloaded this app and in 20 minutes of use the video has frozen 4 times while the audio continues. This is apparently not a caching problem that clears up after a few seconds. Each time I must kill and restart the app the get back video that is in sync with the audio. So much for watching Creative Live on the phone...

Learning In a Fun Way. I have played around quite a bit with my iPhone X, but I really don’t know anything about photography. I’ve only watched 2lessons and I’ve already learned so much!

“Meh.”. I love CreativeLive, but the app needs improvement. The app is a little slow for me and has issues with video hanging, but this could just be a poor internet connection. If I had to pick something that really brings down the review for me, I really hate that you can’t download content purchased via the app onto your computer. Grr!!

Great Classes. Crap App.. So far I’d give the classes a 4.9 stars. The app, though, is so frustrating. Seems to work fine streaming, but any time I download classes to watch offline it has a hard time playing them. This has been consistent across two phones and one iPad.

Great content but no chromecast support. Not much else to say here. Classes are well-done, and I've purchased quite a few. On-air (free) classes are perfect to preview or just watch as you have time. Really could use Chromecast support though.

Excellent teacher!. I am in my 45th year as an educator and recognize excellent teaching when I see it. John is an excellent teacher! He has all of the technical knowledge and the ability to translate it, so that people who don’t have the technical knowledge can understand the consequences of actions they might take.

So many selections. CreativeLive has so much to offer creatives. It’s mind blowing. I love that they always have a class on air at no cost. I’ve learned so much from just watching these videos form home.

Great Resource. Great source of information from great photographers. You can basically find a course that covers your interest in the medium and watch or buy it . Wonderful resource that I constantly share with my camera club.

Great Creative Insights But.... Unfortunately most classes I click on are “extra cost” - not included in the CreativeLive subscription. I don’t mind paying extra for top talent but it’s beginning to look like everything I’m interested in is extra. Hopefully I’ll find out different - I’ve only been a member for a month & a half.

Data hog. I got this app for the ability to watch downloaded videos offline. However that feature never worked. I was able to download the video, but it would never playback. Used 2.8 gb of data in less than two weeks on my iphone7 plus. I went through all steps in their trouble shooting list. Their tech support team was unable to help. Very disappointing.
