Don’t do it. Very disappointed. I never heard a knock at the door. I just received a text that my order was left at the door. But when I opened the door.. nothing. I had texted them back immediately not knowing that it wasn’t there and got a message back that the number is only valid during delivery.. so I had no way to contact the driver to see where they were. Then of course there’s no number to call just a message system!! I called the restaurant and they said they had no number for me to contact. So I had to message them knowing there was no way I was getting food that night. I went without dinner because by that time it was too late to order from anywhere that wasn’t fast food and I have ulcerative colitis and can’t eat just anything. Then customer service has this tone with me like it’s my fault. I triple checked my address and in the comments and details out what the name of the condo was. Next day when I order with Uber eats I had NO issues. ON top of that they aren’t giving me a refund but credits instead. Nope. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I will not be using them again. Uber eats is far superior, won’t be veering from them every again!!

2 hours later and will it refund after canceled. This was our first and only time using Waitr. Mother’s Day morning, we ordered breakfast so I wouldn’t have to cook. 30 minutes passed, the driver called to let me know he was sorry and on his way. Another 30 minutes pass, driver calls to say he is on his way again. I then messaged the support on the app to ask if something was wrong since I only live 10 minutes max from the restaurant. Then, driver calls 2 hours later from the time I placed the order to let me know he was on his way and 11 minutes away. I asked him why he kept telling me he was on his way if he wasn’t really and he told me he had to drop off three other orders before mine. Soooo, with eggs sitting in the car riding around for over an hour we decided we didn’t want to risk salmonella and asked to cancel the order. He obliged. The service rep on the app then argued with me about the server “accidentally pressing the arrived at restaurant button” but I took a screen shot to prove I wasn’t telling a lie. For any customer service company to tell someone they are being dishonest is completely offensive. I have call times screen shots! I asked for a refund and the refuse. We will dispute this with our bank. Door Dash, Uber, and Augusta To Go have never done something like this. I hope no one else has to experience this, especially on a special day. Shame on you, Waitr!

Subpar delivery service. I have used this app for some time now due to it formerly being the only food delivery service in my area initially, and it has consistently found ways to overcharge users. While I admit this issue may have already been resolved since I experienced it, I stopped using the app frequently when I realized they were consistently charging more for food items than the restaurants themselves charged, sometimes up to $3 more per item; plus they were still charging addition off the final total for service fees. Once I realized this I stopped using the app. I had to come leave this review today though, as I decided to give it another shot and order a coffee from a local coffee shop to be delivered to my place of work. However, upon getting to checkout with a single latte in the cart, somehow the Waitr service fee was a whopping $9, and this was a completely separate fee than the driver’s tip. No way I’m paying this app more than the local coffee shop would make, or more than the driver would get in tips.

Use a different app. I used to loooove Waitr. I worked in Belton and used them all the time, it was easy, you could do group orders, and it was super fast. But the last month that I have used the app it has been nothing but trouble. I ordered 2 sandwiches from subway not too long ago and waited TWO HOURS for the food to get to me. When I finally got it one sandwich was stale and the other was very soggy due to the condiments. Then about two days later, giving them the benefit if the doubt I ordered Sonic. Again time went but and still not food. The grilled cheese I ordered was cold, the ice cream was partially melted- gross. Then a couple days after that my boyfriend used to to get ice cream and it too TWO hours for it to get to use. One of the items wasn’t even delivered and the ice cream was once again- half melted. Mind you I live pretty close to 3 Sonics. The only reason I didn’t just drive was because everyone in the house was sleeping and someone was parked behind my car. I honestly should have just went myself. I have only received 1 of my refunds back. And with all the refunds they have to do I really don’t know how they’re making any money. At this point I just deleted to app off my phone and use others like DoorDash or UberEats. Don’t give yourself a headache with this app.

Ok app. I basically use this app because it’s the only thing available in my area. Compared to others like Grubhub and Seamless, this app is by far the worst. But I have no other option. With that being said, the options on the app are limited. There are more restaurants in my area that should be on this app but I guess I’ll just wait to see if they show up. The customer service app is also very slow to respond or just not helpful. When you need to cancel and order after it is put in, they service is so slow or just not helpful. So warning; make sure you put your orders in correctly before submitting or else you’ll lose your money. Most other apps have a way of canceling your order that is much more efficient that doesn’t involve contacting third parties and waiting forever for a response that doesn’t arrive until after your order arrives at your door. I would have given this app a 1 star but since it’s the only app that serves food in my area, I will give it 2 stars.

Unreliable. This app has become unreliable. I used to order food for delivery to my job once or twice a week without difficulty. Now, I can’t get the orders to go through on the app or the website. I have had to create 3 different accounts because each account stops working after a few days. The only account I can consistently log in to is the one linked with my Facebook. The other two accounts make me reset my password every time I log in. However, even though I reset the password as prompted, it continues to force me to reset the password immediately afterwards, so I can never actually log in. Support was no help with this. They responded a day later and essentially said, “we're unsure why this is happening.” This problem started about 6 months ago and has yet to be resolved. Now, with each order I attempt to place, I get an error message saying “Sorry, we’re having trouble placing your order.” When trying to order using the website instead, the order just loads forever and never gets placed. I have also had instances of missing sides, sauces, etc for which I paid extra... when I contacted customer service about it, they said they’d look into it and apologized, but that was it.... I was not reimbursed or anything. I give the app two stars because I like the layout and because they have more of the restaurants I like. If only the app were functional again... I’ve now been using DoorDash. Highly recommend DoorDash at this point.

Horrible customer support and delivery time. Worst customer support ever. They don’t reply to you even in 12 hours. I received my food 1hr 30 mins late. My food was sitting in the restaurant for 1 hr. The restaurant was literally 7 mins away from the house. I had to order through the app because my car wasn’t with me. The waitr app representative picked up my order after 1 hr and delivered me the cold soggy food after another 30-40 mins !! Doesn’t make any sense. I agree it was raining yesterday but the rain stopped 45 mins before I received my food when the waitr rep already picked up my food. Also when I asked him, he said he was assigned the delivery only 30 mins ago. The waitr app should pause or make the app unavailable when it rains in the area and not let people order. Apart from that the horrible customer service, they never replied to me. I wanted to cancel the order and get a refund. They honestly don’t even care to reply. So I just paid around $10 in tip and service for a $10 plate (paid $20 total) and received some cold soggy chicken plate sitting outside for 1.5 hr which can definitely make you sick. Its not the first time I have experienced such carelessness with this app.

App Malfunction. I used Waitr all the time at work and I did like the app until my son ordered. My son put the app on his phone and ordered smoothie king but didn’t no it closed at 8:30. But he placed the order anyway. It said successful but then said it was closed. Usually the app will tell u when the order is put in, processes, picked up, and delivered. But didn’t for him. So I told him to order something else. When they where waiting the app said the other order was being picked up. Then we got a knock at the door and it was smoothie king. My son came and told me that we only got smoothies not what we ordered. I told him to go y’all him that it was wrong. The driver to my son to call and they will refund my money back. I called them and was told I can’t get a refund because it was from two different places but I couldn’t reorder for smoothie king cause they was closed. I was also told because it was over $50 they can’t refund my money and can only give me the delivery fee which is nothing but $10. I would not have ordered from somewhere else if I knew the first order was on the way.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

DO NOT USE! The absolute worst food delivery app. I have used this app several times to order food. Each time, I have experienced some sort of issue.. whether it be that my food arrives extremely late and cold (which I understand may not always be in Waitrs control) or whether my food does not arrive at all! On more than one occasion, my food not been delivered at all and I was still charged! Also, not too long ago, my pizza was delivered and when I opened the box, the pizza was literally in the shape of a ball because of how poorly it was handled during the delivery process. What’s worse, is that you can’t even speak to customer service over the phone. Good luck trying to reach out to them. The customer service messaging feature is absolutely ABYSMAL. When you send an inquiry via message, you are told that your request will be seen within five hours. While this app may still be fixing whatever technical bugs it has, I am not alone in saying that my experience with this app has been absolutely terrible and I would advice customers to use another food delivery app.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER.. I live on a military base. Waitr and uber are the only ways to order takeout here. I gave waitr MULTIPLE chances to do good because a friend recommended them over uber. I tried 4 times and EVERY SINGLE TIME they screwed something up. When my order for pizza was over 45 minutes late and arrived cold and also wrong (which was just a pepperoni and they brought cheese) I contacted customer service and they would only refund me the delivery fee which was like 3$ compared to the 15$ meal that wouldn’t get eaten because it was cold. Then tonight was the last straw. I scheduled an order for 20:30. (8:30 p.m) I did so at 16:30 (4:30 p.m) PLENTY of time in advance. At 8:30 p.m I got a message saying my order would be late and arrive at 9:04 p.m I was unhappy but didn’t care because I usually go to bed at 10 anyway. Then at 9:04 I checked the app and it was still preparing so I called the restaurant and my order had been ready since 8:20 p.m. the driver never came to pick up my order and they couldn’t get ahold of them. The store closed at 9:30 p.m and because of corona virus I could not leave and get something to eat so I will not be eating tonight. This app is ridiculous and has screwed me over multiple times I will never use it again and will use uber eats from now on. I’m surprised I even got my 15$ back. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!

Horrible customer service. I recently had an issue with my order (restaurant didn’t have an item) and through 2 different “customer support” people, I was told to just place the order again and it would be delivered. Excuse me? You want me to pay for TWO orders, TWO delivery fees, and TWO tips? I was assured my money would be refunded in 2-4 business days. I was on my lunch hour, hungry and didn’t have a choice. My food took over 45 minutes to arrive...from a restaurant that was less than a 10 minute drive from my location. I was unable to eat my food right away. Fast forward almost 2 weeks later. Still no money and have talked to 4 or 5 different people. The latest promise was 6 business days. Well 6 days have come and gone, and still no money. I use Favor now and absolutely love them. They even reward customers with free delivery weekends as well as discounted deliveries. Plus the runners for Favor are a hell of a lot more professional and efficient. So save yourself from being robbed and do not download this app. Go with Favor instead.

If you like cold food that takes over two hours to be delivered, this place is for you!. After many attempts of giving Waitr the benefit of the doubt, I’m done. I’m currently waiting two hours for food and my last purchase took two and a half hours which arrived soaking wet, cold and I could tell it was sitting there for the entire time minus the 5 min it takes to get to my house from the restaurant. I’m not sure if they need to rethink the drivers working for them or what, but they are losing customers and money everyday. The constant change of which restaurants are in the delivery zone is annoying too. On the go delivery has the same restaurants that they deliver from and the food is always on time and hot, so it’s clearly an issue with this particular business. Update- Got the order 2.5 hours later and they told me it was the restaurants fault and as soon as they got the food, they came here. Not true, because all of the food was cold as ice, but still came out of the “heat bag”. I wonder if the owners know how terrible the service has been?

Poor ad and notification settings. Not sure why the settings are so different but when it was Waitr, there was an option to turn off ad and promotional notifications that actually worked. After reading the reviews, it seems the only way to actually avoid getting multiple (like more than 3) promotional notifications a day is to disable notifications entirely. Including those related to any deliveries and orders you make. It’s really aggravating to get multiple notifications a day even though I’ve disabled the promotions, but disabling them entirely from my phone settings prevents me from seeing when any orders I get are delivered or ready. Additionally, much like in the last app, I with there were a way to filter places near you by who is available for delivery or who is pickup only. It’s frustrating to have to find out after you start make the order, and the little icons with the car and bag aren’t always accurate. I end up just cancelling and giving up on ordering food after that. And yes, if this gets a response from ASAP, I do have the latest update and have even tried redownloading the app.

Excellent Service!!!!. I have a very busy life as an RN Supervisor, especially with the Covid 19 Pandemic. My husband is handicapped and when I am home, my work is never done. I use Waitr a lot and the few times my order is not perfect, I just text Waitr and within 10 minutes, the problem is resolved. The delivery crew are fantastic, friendly and eager to please. I alway tip them on my credit card and am assured that the driver gets my tip. Waitr is the only food app I use because of their superior customer service. It is the perfect solution to my busy life and my husband loves it too. He is on a Renal diet secondary to cancer of his kidney. This diet has many restrictions and I frequently adjust his food using the “special request” section. My delivery crew make sure it is right and that I am satisfied with their service. I recommend Waitr to my staff and friends and they love it as well. Thank you, Waitr , for simplifying my life. You do a great job. Brenda

A disaster. I’ve used Waitr a handful of times and I haven’t had many great experiences. Recently I ordered food from Subway and it took almost 2 hours to get my food. I called subway twice and they let me know the order was ready to be picked up even though it still said “preparing order” on my app. I tried to reach out to customer service multiple times and never got a response. The order was placed at 7:41 the food was picked up 5 minutes before the restaurant closed at 9pm and still didn’t make it to my door before 9:30 despite the restaurant being so close. Naturally I ordered food from a different subway thinking there was a technical issue and I would get refunded because it didn’t look like my food was coming. My mistake. I placed that order at 8:30pm and that order wasn’t delivered until after 10pm. (The restaurant closed at 10pm) I again reached out and got no response from customer support. I left my number and email and they’ve emailed me twice asking for my information but never responded when I replied. I ordered with them a month prior and only one of the two items went through so I got my food but my friend didn’t. I will surely just go pick up my food in the future. The headache isn’t worth it.

Poor service!!. So I have used waitr a lot! And I will start off by saying that yes we every time we use waitr the drivers call and tell us that when they put our address in the gps it takes them past our house. And we explain where we live and that’s that! But tonight first off it took almost 3 hours for our food to be delivered! Then on top of that the driver calls me and is so rude! Told me that I was lying about where I lived! And I was wasting his time by sending him to the wrong place! He AGRUED with me about where WE lived! So after that conversation I messaged the customer support on the app! And was told that they could remove the tip! I wasn’t worried about the 4.00 I gave him! I was upset with the fact that one it took three hours to get my food and then the drive was rude! So about 20 minutes after the first phone call he calls back. And says I found your house and I’m outside with your food. But could y’all come outside and help me get out of your ditch! He wreck his vet in my front ditch. After being rude to us asked us for help! And of course because we are nice people we helped him out! But I will probably NEVER use waitr again! And like I said i use them a lot until tonight!

Great service, trash app. The service itself is great. The drivers are friendly, I get a text when my food is ready so I know roughly how much longer it’ll be, etc. They take a long time sometimes but that’s just life. The app itself though? Holy crap it’s bad. It’s slow and laggy, and responsiveness is seemingly random- I’ve had times when I tapped the same thing five or six times in a row before it responded, times when I was trying to scroll and it selected the option where I touched the screen, times when I select an option and it doesn’t respond for several seconds, and more. And yes, these are problems with the app itself- they exist on all devices I’ve used it with. Additionally, the ui itself is bad. You have to log in *every time* you make an order unless you do so practically every day. The keypad doesn’t have a “done” or “finish” option, which can make it difficult to use the “special requests” text box- the keyboard covers up the “Submit Request” option so you can’t submit it, and you can’t get rid of the keyboard.

Very convenient. I prefer Waitr over DoorDash almost every time (unless a restaurant I want isn’t on Waitr) and the food gets to us hot and the drivers are super nice! It’s not perfect 100% of the time, but when there’s a mistake it’s usually on the restaurant’s part and Waitr will always make it right, be that a refund or they’ll offer to re-deliver. The customer service is really helpful and I know some people complain about the chat times but I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and that’s during lunch or dinner rushes! Overall I’ve had a lot more positive experiences than negative, the only things I would change is expand the delivery zone again because a lot of restaurants were cut from my area and some farther ones will deliver but closer ones won’t for some reason? Customer service did say they submitted a request for expansion of my zone though so we’ll see. That and to be able to track the driver like DoorDash has it. Overall a really useful app and I’m glad they’re in my area! :)

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I would leave zero stars if it was an option. I ordered food to be delivered and it never showed. I contacted customer service and spoke with two different people only to be told I could not receive a refund for food THAT WAS NEVER DELIVERED, and was never given an explanation as to what happened to my order. So I paid for food that never came AND the customer service people did NOTHING to assist me in any way. They condescended me about if I had checked my front door, as if that isn’t the first place I checked after I checked the app and saw my order was marked as delivered. I immediately messaged customer service but was only told “no refund available have a nice day.” THEN I saw my neighbor a few houses down and he explained it had been dropped off at his door step so he ate it. Which made matters worse because I left a detailed description in the delivery notes that we live in a PINK house and even detailed the cars in the driveway. His house is completely WHITE and does in no way shape or form fit the description of the house I left. So over all, customer service could careless, dont expect a refund for food that disappears or explanation, and the drivers are terrible.

Crappy service. So I ordered from Jersey Mike’s in Longview TX, after about 30 minutes my order still said sending to restaurant. So I attempted to message through the app for help and didn’t get a response for an hour. In the mean time I was on hold with the help lone which never picked up to help me. After that I stayed on hold while driving to the restaurant to get my food myself because I never got ahold of anybody to cancel my 40 dollar order. Once I got there the restaurant wasn’t that busy but they acted as if they where slammed. So the issue was that they were not entering their received orders. So I waited there for about 30 more minutes on my food for the family. All of this could have been averted if WAITR would have just answered me in a timely fashion, but instead of losing my money I had to wait forever and drive to get my food. I emailed WAITR and they refunded my delivery fee of $5. That’s it. I called again today to see if they would do anything else to keep me and my family as a customer and they wouldn’t do anything. So I will never use this crappy service again. I will try out UBER eats instead!!!!

Updating my review. Still 1 Star.. After finding out, if you can reply to replies by the app developers, I’ve decided to remove my initial review so that I can respond to their reply. my initial review was mainly a complaint about the fact that the app over inundates you with notifications and offers sometimes two times a day, for an app that I never even used. I simply downloaded it for a client. I left it on my phone, forgetting about it, and noticed that I was getting banner drop down notifications while I was going through my busy day working. Knowing that the only resolution is to disable notifications all together for this app, I was instantly annoyed. I mean, generally, with food delivery apps, it’s pretty important to have to get the notifications on where your food is and what’s going on. And for some reason, none of these apps put an option in their settings to disable promotions and notifications. ASAP is another one of those because I looked for the setting, and there wasn’t one. Their reply to me earlier today was that they were sorry that I didn’t enjoy the app, and then they suggested that I disable notifications in my iPhone settings to fix the problem. Well again, isn’t that kind of the purpose of the app? I mean, if I disable notifications, I don’t know where my food is, or when it’s going to arrive. So that seems to be a big problem. Hey ASAP, put a setting in your app that allows for people to disable, unnecessary notifications, and promotions.

Never using Waitr Again. My family and I tried to use Waitr for the first time to order dinner. The app said the food was delivered and nothing was ever dropped off at our home. I reached out to customer service and was told the food was still on the way. When I asked for an ETA, I was told a time that had already past. Again I expressed concern that the app said the order was already delivered and Customer Service just thanked me for my time. After more time passed, I reached out to Customer Service a second time and they could not tell me what happened, but just said the order would be refunded. At this point, it was over an hour after the food should have been delivered and we were stuck with no dinner plans late at night. This was incredibly inconvenient and still no explanation regarding what happened to our order. I am incredibly disappointed and will not be using Waitr in the future. Hopefully this helps others not have to experience the same disappointment that we did. I am only giving one star in this review because there is no option to submit a review with zero stars.

Terrible drivers. Waitr apparently doesn’t encourage their drivers to do a good job. The last straw was when a driver left with my food after one failed phone attempt when delivering to my workplace. Took the food with him instead of trying to get it to me. No food, no refund. Customer service will block you if they don’t feel like dealing with it. The drivers will also call to tell you the “restaurant” is late prepping your food or that a “malfunction” with the app will show it’s delivered before they get to you. In reality, they are picking up at multiple restaurants for multiple deliveries and escape internal quality measures by logging the food as delivered. The food often arrives cold, soggy, and in one of my cases unidentifiable from rough handling. I get that a service like this can’t deliver food that is restaurant quality, but considering the inflated menu prices they use it should be a lot better. I closed my account, deleted the app. Don’t waste your time and money on this garbage service. Gotta love the developer “responses”. You know what kind of service you’re dealing with when they have to have pre-written generic responses for all the 1-star reviews. I really don’t think these people want to fix anything, just take what they can get until they go under. They aren’t even trying to hide it very well.

Used to be good, now a dud. This was our go to with a newborn on a “date night”. Now it’s been problems. One night out order was hours late and cold due to a “system update” that caused the drivers to not be able to see new orders. It arrived cold finally but the company didn’t move to rectify it that evening. A credit was issued but it was poorly communicated the next day. My next encounter involved an order where included instructions to call when close so I could meet him outside to revive the order and thus not wake my infant. Additionally the restaurant selection was noticeably less than before. He never got the instructions from the app because he didn’t check his messages. Well he then proceeded to crash into a neighbor’s yard because he thought it was my place. I get that mistakes happen but there should be some sort way to contact the driver if there isn’t a response to the messages. The ensuing commotion of police and a tow truck woke up the baby. My order was on time so there was that. Which brings me to today, the app was updated and it doesn’t work. Before there were minor UI problems that made for annoyances. Additionally your login didn’t persist between uses. Now it gets hung up on asking for your location and won’t let you do anything else. Looks like it’s time to try another similar service.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I do not suggest this app at all. If I could give it 0 stars I would. When I say service, I mean customer service. I accidentally place two orders back to back because the app froze. I contacted customer service through their chat and they 1) couldn’t cancel it on their end. Had to try to call the restaurant to cancel the second order. 2) said because I didn’t catch the mistake in 5 mins I couldn’t get a refund. 3) weren’t understanding. I wasn’t asking for both orders to be refunded. Just one cause I wanted my food still. But they weren’t understandings treated me like I was trying to finesse their system when I genuinely accidentally place two orders. Do not use this app. There are so much better ones. Their system is obviously out of date or old or something because it is ridiculous that they didn’t have the power to cancel an order when superior food delivery apps do. Ended up paying $50 for a $25 order. And it’s not like I can save the second order for later... because it won’t be good later. I do not suggest this app at all. Will not be using again.

Horrible, had to pick up my own food.. I placed an order for pizza at 8:00, said estimated delivery time was 8:57. It was 9:15 when there was still no notification of my food even being on the way or any update of when a confirmed driver would be there. I did a live chat with Katherine where she inevitably lied to me saying 1. A driver was on the way. 2. Their may be traffic due to Mardi Gras and streets are busy. It is a Monday night in Metairie where there are absolutely no parades scheduled. So at 9:30 I ended up having to go pick up the pizza myself - which defeats the ENTIRE purpose of this app. Ordered the pizza at 8:00. 10:13 I receive a call from a waitr driver asking if I got my order, seeing as she was just notified about the order at 10:00 and realized it was 2hrs last the time I ordered. When I told her the situation she said “oh okay I just wanted to make sure you got it, cause sometimes people end up picking it up”. Again, defeats the ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THIS APP. low quality, not user friendly, poorly run. A driver isn’t even confirmed when you order your food!!!!! Save yourself the trouble and do Uber eats.

Issues Issues Issues. I have placed multiple orders through this app, and unfortunately, have been disappointed more times than I can count. I was part of a group order with my coworkers for lunch. Apparently, there were select items ordered by one person that were actually available at the restaurant, but not available on the menu until a future time, but it allowed everyone in the group to order without any notification that we would be waiting for over 2 hours for our food. Myself and one other coworker reached out through the “chat” within the app and spoke with Michael, he informed both of us that once a time has been chosen, it cannot be modified AT ALL, our only option was to cancel the order and start the process all over again, this was after an hour of the first order being placed...no thank you. With all the technology we have at our fingertips, it is hard for me to believe that they can’t modify an order after it has been placed, especially when the problem lies within the app not recognizing menu items as being available to order through the restaurant, but not their app. I know this is fact because, less than a month ago, I ordered from the same restaurant and my entree was available, but the soup was not. I called the restaurant directly and paid separately through them for the soup and they added it to my order through Waiter.

Dreadful. No way to get updates about order status. Last night I ordered food and 1.5 hours later the app still said “preparing your food.” Called restaurant and they said my food had been ready for 45 minutes and was sitting there boxed up, but they had no word from the Waitr driver. So I went and picked up the food myself and of course the food was cold. The driver did call but it was about half an hour after I got back home and had already finished the meal. This is the second time this has happened. I emailed and chatted with their customer service via the app earlier this morning but I have been unable to get a response yet, and they do not have a phone number to call so you just have to wait and wonder when they’ll get back to you. Also, the app does not provide an estimate of how long an order will take to be delivered until AFTER you place the order. People make decisions about their food based on how long it will take, much like waking out of a restaurant when the hostess says the wait is over an hour and they decide to eat somewhere else. It’s very basic but this app forces you to place an order and then cancel it when you realize it’ll be two hours for your donuts to arrive. Nobody waits two hours for donuts!! I will not be ordering with Waitr again, they just do not have their stuff together. Uber Eats is out of Waitr’s league, and I so miss having that available since moving out of a big city. Sigh.

Exactly What You Would Expect. Waitr is exactly what I expected it to be, and that’s not a bad thing. Waitr delivers from many different restaurants in your area, in a relatively timely manner. Yes, of course, you will be paying a premium for this service. ($5.00 + Gratuity on top of your order) This however, is almost negligible on account of the convenience of not having to leave your house. The only reason I didn’t rate a full 5 stars, is because there is definitely room for improvements, ex. Speed of service, lower premium, and or including the tip in the price so the under-paid delivery drivers are guaranteed the tips they deserve. 8/10! Update: While not reflective of the entire company, my last driver was extremely rude. There is no way to report this apart from directly messaging their support. They could really benefit from a rating for every driver. That may encourage the drivers to be more courteous when delivering to customers. Also, my order is frequently wrong, though I believe this is more of the restaurants’ fault than Waitr’s. I’ve removed 1 star for these reasons. 6/10

Worst food service ever. I ordered my order at 11:40AM from a cold cut Mexican shop. Their food style is very similar to chipotle’s and it takes about 5 minutes to make. They told me my order would be ready by 12:36pm. I thought the delivery time was a little long because I personally work for Uber eats and it never takes me a 40 minute commute to pick up and deliver food within 10 minutes from each other. 12:36 approaches and I notice on the schedule my food isn’t even done being served or left the restaurant. I messaged the live chat at 12:45 to cancel and they told me they couldn’t due to my driver being at the restaurant and quickly exited the chat so I couldn’t respond. I did another chat so I could inquire about WHERE the driver was since they said he arrived at the restaurant but the schedule hadn’t been updated. They kept stalling and refusing to respond to the chat. It wasn’t until I alerted the agent that refusing to refund my food will force me to dispute this charge and advise others about the fact they charge you for undelivered orders. They then decided to honor my refund request. After getting it situated at 1:09pm I got a text “ Waitr on the way.” But they told me on the way 30 minutes prior?

Service used to be great it’s now horrible. I used this app faithfully for years but the service is getting ridiculously bad. I have had a problem with just about every order I have tried for the last two months. Today I didn’t get half my food messaged immediately thinking guy might have it in the car or something. They go straight to offering a refund. I say I would just really like the items they can’t do that. Giving me my money back for the six items I didn’t get isn’t customer service that’s the legal thing to do. I have family here from Hurricane Ida and after working cleaning out their home all weekend we are dead on our feet but really wanted some breakfast. Telling two of the people no breakfast for you is not really and option. This is the last straw with this app and this service. I’ve looked over the higher prices than the actual restaurant for the convenience factor but this is no longer a convenience it’s a gamble. And 50% of the time it’s either wrong or they just cancel the order and swear they called you

Terrible first experience. I tried contacting customer service and it wouldn’t let me. Instead it gave me an email to send my feedback to so I sent an email of my experience and I immediately get a message back saying “this email does not exist”.... So I’m writing my experience here instead. We used waitr for the first time ever last night. We ordered our food from a restaurant that was only 10 minutes away so that we would get it more quickly. Once ordered, the app said it would take approximately 57 minutes to receive our order. It was actually 1 hour and 10 minutes before I food was even finished preparing and on the way. Once it was on the way we thought for sure it would be here in under 20 minutes since the restaurant is 10-11 minutes away from us. We ended up waiting another 40 minutes. We honestly thought we had been scammed and contacted customer support letting them know we still had not received our food and customer support let me know that the driver had just arrived at our location. I will say the driver was not rude or unpleasant in any way but 1 hour and 50 minutes was a ridiculously long time to wait for our food from a restaurant that was so close to our location and when we received it it was definitely on the colder side. I hope this is not what a usual experience with Waitr is because it was very disappointing.

I will NEVER order from Waitr again!!!. Sometimes it’s easier to have things delivered on a busy day to save time and fight the lines. I’m even ok with spending the extra money to have it delivered and I always leave a tip, but today that changed. I ordered 2 meals from chick-fil-a for myself and a co-worker. After we got our food, we noticed my co-workers sandwich wasn’t even in the bag (and yes I ordered the meal not the entree)!!😡 I called Chick-fil-A and they told me I had to call Waitr because they driver had confirmed everything was in the bag. Ok first, it’s Chick-fil-A’s fault for not paying attention and putting everything in the bag (which they’re usually good about), second it’s the drivers fault for not noticing that she didn’t have everything her order called for in the bag (her job is to make sure she has everything and drive it to the correct location), third it’s my fault for not noticing it sooner. Lastly, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with Waitr for instances like this!! It’s like they don’t care and have even removed their policies for dealing with these situations because instead of having a number to call, you have to submit your problem to an online chat where you have to wait for a response for who knows how long!! When you call the 800 number in their privacy policy it literally tells you no customer service representative are available. For these reasons, I WILL NOT be ordering from Waitr again. What a waste of money!!

Substandard!. I have spent a lot of money using this app and more and I have had issue after issue with my food, Their menus aren’t updated and you will have to cancel your own order through customer service if they don’t have something that is clearly posted on the menu, ( had to do this twice with 1 order) but good luck reaching someone in customer service especially through the chat it’s almost impossible to reach someone in a decent time through that, also do not expect to be compensated in anyway for your inconvenience they don’t give free delivery or comps or anything for an error that is on them! I.e wrong menu, also if your order is wrong take a pic and upload it because the restaurants will lie especially the manager at cici’s pizza in Waco, I placed an order she claimed she made herself paid for extra toppings I didn’t receive and lied to waitr saying it had the items so I uploaded a pic of the food to end that argument, I asked for a refund on the whole order and told waitr I no longer wanted the items and wanted a full refund at this point and they only refunded the one pizza but didn’t even take care in the fact that the other pizza was wrong as well so I pretty much threw about 36 bucks down the drain because no one would eat the pizza because it was made wrong! So thanks for nothing. I will never use this app again and I don’t recommend anyone else should use it either. I’d stick with Uber eats or just go get your own food, your neighbor might be more reliable.

Bad customer service. I use this app like two or three times a week and I don’t have major problems but I just don’t like the way that their customer service is set up I ordered food yesterday and I didn’t get one of the drinks that I ordered I asked the driver did they give me another drink or just one and he said they just gave me that one so I said I ordered two and he basically just shrugged and said oh well they just gave me one so what was I supposed to do just let them keep my money because I couldn’t get in touch with anyone over the customer service chat and then two weeks ago I ordered food and they gave me the entirely wrong entrée and then I talk to someone about it and she said that they would give me an option to choose a refund or get credit on my account and I told her I wanted the credit on my account and then I guess she just ignored that and said OK well your refund should be on your car within 3 to 5 business days which I never even got the refund this is not right

Horrible! Seriously, save yourself the trouble.. I have had multiple problems with Waitr, and I guess it’s my fault for giving them multiple chances instead of quitting. But I will no longer use Waitr and I urge you not to use it if you’re considering it. On one occasion, my food was 45 minutes late and was COLD when I got it. On another order, the restaurant let me place an order and pay- after 1.5 hours, I wondered why my food was still being “prepared”. I called the restaurant to find out why, only to realize the restaurant was closed. It took hours before “customer service” responded and it was days before I got my refund. Finally, today, I am currently waiting at 1 hour past my delivery time. Once again, their customer service is nonexistent. Their customer service message line is horrible. It’s so hard to get your money back for problems that are Waitr’s fault. And don’t expect your food to be even remotely warm. Being a nurse, I can’t always leave for lunch. But I will have to stick to having someone else go get the food for me, such as DoorDash or another service.

Worst food delivery app experience. All I needed was so simple for them to change my order from pick up to delivery . I thought this app was so you could have your food delivered not so you could order to go pick it up yourself . It was my fault for not paying attention to this option but when I contacted them immediately after I saw this. They were not able to help me they wanted me to order something else and have the driver pick up both orders . I don’t think that is right if you are working on the support side of the app it should be so simple to click a button to have an order changed from pick up to delivery . They person was very unhelpful said the same thing over and over again my problem never got solved . I even called the restaurant to see if they could cancel so I could re order and since it was though the app they could not which is not their fault . For me their should not even be an option for pick up. This app is for delivery if I wanted to pick the food up I would go directly through the restaurant .

Worst food delivery service ever. I ordered over $70 worth of food for my family through waitr and was quoted 45 minutes until delivery. 45 minutes went by and the driver still hadn’t even gotten to the restaurant. i tried messaging customer service twice and even called the customer service phone number. i was caller 15 so i requested a call back. an HOUR later (so a total of 1.5 hour wait time) my food was finally delivered and i still had not gotten a call back. The food was ICE COLD and literally spilled ALL over the bags. the driver did not apologize for the delay, he actually didn’t say but two words. I tried calling the customer support number again and was called number 32 - i was not going to wait for that. Still hadn’t received a call back from the return call request either. I got fed up and decided i’d sit on hold. I’ve been waiting to speak to a rep for 45 minutes now and still nobody, still no call back, still no message back. nothing. i will NEVER be using waitr again. do not waste your time or money like i did!!!!

No problems with service. We have ordered using Waitr many times. I have only had 1 problem with Waitr & that was their app. I had trouble ordering and then my food arrived, very fast which surprised me. About 20 minutes after it arrived I got a text from the driver said my order was here! WHHHHHAT? So the app ends up sending two separate orders,the exact same order which came to about a total of $85 ish dollars. One person. That was tough during these times. The other wasn’t Waitr at all it was the food from the same restaurant I order from. Southern Comfort Food here in the LaPorte area. The cheese sticks were under cooked and cold, the grill macaroni & cheese was something a chef or cook should NEVER let leave the kitchen! Hard brown substance (I think cheese?) covered the whole thing. Tasted ok ( not eating the hard stuff, but it looked worse then dog food. Good job drivers!

Horrible service. There’s always something with this app. Either our food is very late, incorrect, the app itself is broken, unclear delivery radius, etc. Today my fiancé and I ordered food from a local restaurant that is 1.8 miles from our home. We received our food almost 2.5 hours later. This was after multiple contacts to customer service, one representative lied and stated that the food was on the way when it was confirmed later by someone else that it wasn’t. We finally got them to cancel our order and give us a refund after being told there was nothing they could do and that if we cancelled, we’d be charged for the food we still hadn’t received. We told them we didn’t want cold food, to which they assured us the food would be warm when it arrived. Miraculously, the food did end up showing up after the 2.5 hours and the ordering being cancelled. It was not even warm to the touch and the ice in our drinks had all melted. This isn’t the first time we’ve had problems but it will be the last. We’ll be deleting this app from both our phones.

Works the way It should I guess. It was easy to use the menu was navigable and readable. Food was ready when I got there and just as I ordered. My wife and I were trying to find a menu we could read online in the car but they were all blurry and couldn’t blow up the size to make it better then I remembered I downloaded this app for lunch at work and never used it. We lucked up found the restaurant and menu we could read placed our order and a 25 min drive later we are on our way home with food we ordered. You could still call the place and get a busy tone, but if your places are like ours the virus has got a lot of people ordering take out and places are jam packed with people calling in and picking up orders It’s easy to mix something or leave something out in the shuffle. This app worked but I’ve never use another so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it pulled through this time we shall see what the next takeout dinner quest holds.

Deleting this app. I wanted to love waitr, but Finally gave up on this app after my last two orders took over two hours to deliver. Today was the last straw, though. My driver was super late arriving because she got lost. She claimed my street wouldn’t show up on the GPS. This can’t be true because uber and other waitr drivers have never had a problem, so I don’t know what the deal was. When she called me for instructions she had no clue how to even tell me where she was. When I finally received and opened the order, it was the wrong order. Waitr said my delivery driver would go back and get the right one but only after she finished another delivery. At this point, it was already an hour past my original delivery time, so I just went and got the food myself. My food (sushi) had been sitting out for over an hour at this point. Waitr offered no compensation of any kind. I had to call and explicitly ask for my delivery fee and tip back, considering there was no delivery and no driver to tip. Will never use this service again. Wait times are way too long and tonight was just a royal mess up. If I truly “need” delivery, I’ll try uber eats.

Horrible Service. Editing yet again: Yet another order late due to Waitr and not the restaurant. Meaning it was cooked on time but cold when it arrived. Officially done with this app. Editing to reiterate my earlier review. I hate that I even continue using this app but there really aren’t any other options for delivery in my area. Our dinner tonight was once again late by 45 minutes, cold and half of it was missing. All Waitr offered to do was take the missing items from my bill and refund my delivery fee. The entire order should have been comped considering I had to reheat everything in the microwave and ended up without enough food to feed my family and resorted to whatever was in our freezer. In my last 5 orders, 3 have been late (one significantly) and 1 cancelled bc the restaurant didn’t acknowledge. Instead of calling the restaurant, they called me to ask if I wanted to wait or cancel...it took the same amount of time that calling the restaurant would. I use this app mostly bc I am in meetings all day and the timeliness is extremely important. I’ve given this app more chances than I should have. Deleting now.

Rip off. I ordered food through the app for the first time to try it out and so I would not have to drag my kids out to pick up something to eat. 45 minutes roll by and the restaurant calls me and says my food had been sitting a waiting for 15 minutes and no one had showed up to pick up the order and they were going to close in 5 minutes. So I loaded my kids up anyway to go pick up the order before they closed. 30 minutes after the restaurant closes I received a notification saying that the order was successfully delivered and was charged the full amount including delivery fees and the 20% tip that I added when ordering. I contacted them throw messenger to let them know what happen and instead of issuing me a refund they stated that the driver said I picked it up before he could get there. If the restaurant contacted me to let me know my order had not been picked up I’m sure they tried to contact them as well with no luck so how is it ok to charge someone a delivery fee and tip for a service that was not rendered. I will never use them again it was a horrible first experience and they did not even try to rectify to situation. I really never complain about thing but this app is a joke from now on I will use Texarkana take out their service has been spot on for a long time now.

Customer service. I’ve been using this app since the day it came out. As it is such a great concept, the customer service is AWFUL. I have a set time for my lunch, I ordered 2 hours in ADVANCED and my estimated time was 1:14, I did not RECEIVE my food until almost 1:30. My lunch is from 1-2 giving me only 30 minutes to eat, which wouldn’t be bad if I didn’t work for a doctor. Now with that being said I had messaged about my food around 12:30 just to check and get updates because it did not update about my food being prepared, I did not receive any information about this from any workers. When this app first game out it was fast and very efficient. Now, it seems to be more of a pain than it is helpful. I would honestly give it 2 stars but since I’ve had such great experience in the past that’s the only reason it’s getting 3 stars. Maybe you should think about the workers, communication and transportation more.

Wow. Seriously ticked off because I ordered a catfish poboy from a gas station that’s literally 3 miles from my house. I should’ve just drove down there and picked it up myself, but I have a 10 week old infant that I wasn’t trying to get out of the house. When I first placed the order it said it was going to be over an hour before it arrived, which I thought was weird because I go there all the time and order food and it takes maybe ten minutes to cook anything on their menu. It’s been almost two hours and my food still isn’t here, I called the gas station and they basically said that the driver took so long to get there that my food was going to be cold, but he just picked it up and is now on his way. There’s no way for me to get a refund without screwing over the restaurant, it’s not their fault. The driver shouldn’t have accepted my order if he was too far away to pick it up while it was hot. They should have some kind of option to hold the order so the restaurant doesn’t make it way before the driver can get there. This is stupid.

Horrible app. I’ve had more pleasant experiences using door dash or grub hub, even on the go delivery is better than waitr. I’ve had so many issues using Waitr. They don’t check to make sure your order is right, they don’t text you or let you know if there’s a delay, and when I tried to cancel my order after an hour after my order was supposed to be delivered, I got no response, until 3 hours later. Basically they just told me sorry for the delay, I see your order was delivered. Doesn’t matter because I didn’t want it anymore after waiting that long, I decided to go to the restaurant and get it myself. So by the time it was delivered, I had already eaten and told the delivery driver that I’m sorry to inconvenience her but I didn’t want the order anymore and had already reached out to customer service an hour earlier to cancel my order. She left the order on my door step and left, even after telling her I tried to cancel my order, didn’t want it, and shut the door. I’ve used Waitr quite a lot but I’m deleting the app now because they have terrible service.

Meh. I love the service, but there are a few improvements that need to be made. First, I should be allowed to tip after the service. I've had some fantastic drivers and experiences, but most of them have been terrible to say the least. So I tip based on the majority of my service. I'm not going to tip overly well in advance ever. So they're cheating their drivers. Second, I hate that updates render the app completely unusable until you install a new update. I'm not always in a place of situation that I can update an app on my phone, but I'm in need of food. I get if you're two or more updates behind, but every single update requiring updating to be used at all is irritating. Especially when there's an update every other week or two. Third, the drivers should actually check what they're picking up and delivering. I'd say close to half my deliveries have been the wrong food. And I have seen dozens of pickups at our two favorite hang outs, not ever once has a driver looked at what they're picking up to see if it's the correct order. If allowed to tip afterward, this would greatly affect their tip.

TERRIBLE. So earlier today I used their services for the first time at work cause it’s been recommended to me by my coworkers. At my work, the rules are that if you work 6 hours or more, you get two 15 minute breaks. Well I was working 5 hours so I only got one 15 minute break, which is fine, I’ve done that before. I forgot to pack my lunch so I used the app. I ordered one plate of sushi with a side of teriyaki sauce from a sushi place in my town. Since my break was at 12:40 I set my delivery time to be at 12:35 so I could get it right before my break. For some reason, 12:35 came by and went and my order still hadn’t come by. I couldn’t reschedule my break since all the other times were already filled. I had to go to the break room and just sit there without eating any sort of food. Finally, at 12:54, my manager said over the headsets that we have that my order had finally arrived. I had literally one minute left in my break so I didn’t even get a chance to eat it at all. And it was almost 20 minutes late, which is honestly ridiculous. And on top of that, the teriyaki sauce that I paid extra for WAS NOT EVEN IN MY BAG. So I had to wait until the very end of my shift to eat my food that I paid for. By that time, it was soggy and cold. So I will absolutely never EVER use their services again since they are so unprofessional. I will tell all of my friends and family about their poor services so they know not to ever use it again and waste their money.

Done with them.. I posted a 5 star review with extremely positive feedback here in July last year. Now, things are the complete opposite. The last 6 orders placed have ALL been 30 mins to 1 hour LATE. We've had to cancel 2 orders because they were over 1 hour beyond expected delivery time. We kept trying, different times of day, different restaurants. Every single time now, it's an hour delay & the only response from Dillon with waitr customer service? "It was delivered within the designated time frame." 2 hours to get something delivered from 5 miles away? We realized how dumb it was & attempted to cancel the order & just go get it ourselves but you can't! If you try to call, they don't call back for an hour, if you message them to cancel, no response to cancel it for 24 hours! The delivery service in the Covington, LA area is HORRIBLE NOW. If it's going to be 3 hours, fine, tell people so they can order at 3 PM to eat dinner by 6 PM, but don't say it'll arrive in 45 mins or 1 hour & show the time then 2 hours later, say "your order is delayed". My review was extremely positive a year ago, not now. We will not use waitr ever again.

Just use DoorDash. Waited an hour for my food then got a notification that the order had been picked up and delivered. Looked outside and no one was there. 5 mins after that got an email saying that my refund had been issued with no explanation as to what happened. Tried contacting waitr support but the support for this company is an absolute joke. The girl on live chat told me that a refund had been issued and would take 3-4 business days before I got my money back then she ended the conversation before I could say anything else. This service is terrible and this is the 3rd time I’ve had an issue with it. It may just be me but I think if they are gonna waste peoples time like that then I should get my money back immediately not after 3-4 days and would get some kind of credit as well since its their fault. Just use DoorDash I’ve never had issues with them or use anything else. Waitr is trash and I won’t use it again

Going from bad to worst. I use this app when I travel outside TX. When I was in Alabama this app was amazing. I am in Louisiana and this apps I now getting on my nerves. As other users had mentioned here. Try to contact customer service through chat is like trying to contact the president. They answer three days later after you created the chat. This is the second time now I have a problem where I wait for my food for over an hour. I spend more money here on this app than if I go to the actual restaurant to get the food. When someone decides to answer they will close the chat as completed because they answer something and then they don’t even give you the time to answer. I’m going to start using either Uber Eats or DoorDash. But I have to wait for my food this time as no one answers me to cancel the order. Worst customer service ever. Please to all other out there. Use another app or I’ll recommend you to go and pick up the food yourselves as I am going to start doing rather than use Waitr.

More of a hassle then picking it up myself. First, I love these kinds of services. I loved Favor in Houston, so I was excited about Waitr. After trying it several times, I will not use them again. Three out of five times I have received incomplete orders. I even tried to put ‘please check to make sure all items are there before leaving the restaurant, they often forget something.’ Once again, a short order. I asked if he checked it like I asked In the instructions (of course you’d think this would be a standard ‘waitr’ practice) he was surprised which means he doesn’t read them) and he literally said that it didn’t matter if it was short or not, it isn’t his job to check, he is a contractor and his job was over, if I had a problem with it, take it up with Waitr. So ok Waitr, you’ve had plenty of tries.... no tip for you and I’ll find another service. It takes more time to wait on the phone for customer service to get undelivered items taken off the bill (24 mins last time) than it does to go get it myself.

Very poor customer service. I ordered food and it was not made properly. I contacted Waitr they insisted I take a picture of it and sent it. I could not take a picture because they did not answer for over two hours. We ended up eating it without the chicken that was supposed to be on the salad. The Customer Service Amy Newman insinuated that I was lying about the food. I sent her the receipt. They did not want to give me a refund.. are used to use Waitr for many times. But I will no longer use their service because Amy Newman thanks that we’re trying to cheat them. All I was asking for was a simple refund of eight dollars for the cost of the side that was made improperly. For the second time. We didn’t report for the first time. I can’t believe companies such as Waitr offer such poor customer service customer service agents that don’t understand the needs of the public. I will use other services such as Uber eats or door dash from now on.

Never get completed orders. I’m stuck on quarantine due to Covid-19. I’ve had 3 out of 4 orders where I paid for and didn’t receive my drink. I had to reach out to customer service each time and receive a refund. After the third time, I told the customer service rep that I don’t want a refund. I want my drink! She said “I can’t have this redelivered for you, I’m refunding it now.” So instead of telling the driver that I tipped to go back and grab my drink that they forgot, they gave me a refund instead. It’s annoying that I’m even having to use this app to begin with because I’d be getting my food myself if I were able. But obviously the drivers pay no attention to the orders when they deliver their food. And most of the time I tip more than 20%! I’m more than willing to give multiple chances but after telling me they can’t deliver my correct order and refunded me after I told them not to, I won’t be using the app again.

High Fees. I have used your app for awhile and over the past year or so the service fee and delivery have been increasing to ridiculous numbers. I tried to order from a restaurant and the food itself came out to about 60 dollars. However when I go to complete the order the total goes up to about 90 dollars. I had a 10 dollar service fee and 9 dollar delivery charge. And on top of that the app still requests a tip for the driver. Now I am a good tipper usually tipping 20% even on delivery but with the high service fee I am discouraged to leave a tip which is unfair to the driver when they are the one actually doing the physical work for the delivery. I am happy to leave a good tip but am unable to due to the extra 19 dollars in fees. I will continue to check but if fees continue to be so high then I will be unable to use the app. I believe the service fee should be around 3 or 4 dollars unless somebody is physically picking up a phone and placing my order for me.

We Aren’t Interested in Top Ratings (WAITR). I used to use Grubhub and DoorDash where I lived but I moved to Louisiana where WAITR is most popular.... IT. IS. TERRIBLE. Food is consistently late and/or cold. Customer service is garbage. On one occasion the restaurant I ordered through called me directly to tell me my order had been “sitting on the bar waiting for a WAITR driver to pick it up for 35 minutes” and when I contacted customer service they tried to give me the runaround before I demanded a refund. Sadly, there aren’t many options in my area, which is why I think WAITR has the audacity to constantly disappoint their customers. The app itself is not user friendly by any means. The restaurants listed have no form of review so if you wanna know if the place you’re considering is good, you have to close the app and Google the restaurant name to see reviews. Then when you finally pick a place, you’re customization of your order is extremely limited. If I could give WAITR a 0... I would.

Not user friendly whatsoever. I NEVER write reviews so you know this is bad... the address was incorrect on my profile and i did not even purposely place the order it was a slip of my finger. But i thought oh well i was done ordering anyways right? So I realize the address is incorrect and there is absolutely NO way to cancel the order or contact the driver. You can either wait on hold with their 1800 number for fourty minutes or send a message online to a representative that wont get back to you for 3 hours and obviously by then its TOO LATE. I called the driver once he got to the incorrect address and he had an attitude and audibly huffed and puffed and told me to “just text him the address cause hes already where hes supposed to be” and when he delivered my food he had an attitude and told me i needed to change my address and when i said thank you he huffed one last time and walked out. I am officially done with Waitr and will just use Ubereats since they are much friendlier and use friendly.

Do Not Use. I wish I could give them a zero. We ordered food and they delivered food from another restaurant (was BBQ), missing food and late. When I disputed (can’t call and must use a chat) the delivery, I was told I would be given a delivery fee credit (~$3.50). After escalating the issue they said I would be given a full refund and it will be within 2 to 6 business days. After waiting that timeframe, no refund was given. I chatted with them again and they said another refund will be issued but they said no record of the first time that I had requested the refund was noted. I sent them screenshots of the chat showing a refund would be given and there would be a full refund. Finally, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my full refund of over $100. They agreed and I got my full refund. Never use this app….

Great first experience!. Used the Waitr app for the first time yesterday because my son was asleep for the night and had a HUGE craving for some Indian food. Last time I gone to this particular Indian restaurant they placed in the bag an ad for using the waitr app so decided to give it a try! Placed the order and said estimated drop off would be 8:30pm but instead got it around 8:09pm so was already impressed! Driver was super nice and efficient. My order was correct, warm, and delicious! Would highly recommend this app and use it again. Didn’t give a full five stars though because I do believe the app needs some improvement as far as how to rate drivers(LOVED MINE and was disappointed that I couldn’t sing his praises) and also how the app runs itself seems like it needs some fine tuning. Still excited for how this app grows and develops! Great jobs guys!

Never use again!!!!. This is probably the 15th, 20th time I have used the waitr app. Probably the 10th, 15th time I have personally been the one to order and every time I order my food is late or there is some issue and it is not correct. I am very frustrated about this. This will be the last time I use the app. Today I ordered food at 10:20 to be delivered at 12:30. At 11:45 I got a message saying it would be delivered at 1:20. So I contacted customer service and they contacted the store. Said the store said they had hit the wrong prep time and it would be delivered on time. It is now 12:45 and I have personally contacted the store that I ordered from and they said the driver was just now pulling into the store. 15 minutes after I was told my food would be on time. This is not acceptable. I will never use you again and I will tell everyone I know and everyone in my building to never use you again. You just lost a lot of business. Have a nice day.

Nothing except problems!. I have had this app for a almost half a year now. It does not work well at all. I have had continuous problems with both the app, and the people delivering my food. Either they do not follow the drop off instructions I have left, or they have just gone off not letting anyone know that they aren’t delivering my order and I’m left waiting almost an hour longer only to find that the restaurant is closed now. Don’t even think about texting waitr support either, because they can’t even contact their drivers anymore with the changes they’ve made to their systems. (I once worked for them as well, it was a terrible experience) So, Needless to say, this app is not worth it to get. The app will also randomly log me out and then each time I try to log in it does nothing, I’ve tried seeing if resetting my password would work, but it would just say “internal server error”.

Lacking..... Review from employee of a restaurant that offers Waitr. Before, we were online with Waitr I personally looked over the menu for errors. We informed them of mistakes through email. Over a year later we still haven’t heard from anyone regarding the mistakes. Many things on their menu do not translate with how we put orders in. This usually ends up with unhappy customers placing the blame on our “stupidity” which was most likely due to confusion as to how to put the order in. You’d have to work in the kitchen to really understand....sometimes things aren’t as simple as they should be. We have asked to have certain issues resolved and we get the classic “I will let the supervisor know”. Customers are unhappy because their food orders are wrong and decide to not order from us again. Wish they’d give some effort to make things better since the restaurants are what make Waitr have a service to offer.

Honest Review. Alright, I’m going to give a pretty honest review about the services. To preface, I use Waitr everyday, sometimes twice a day so I’m used to the app. The app itself really needs to be updated. It looks and feels very outdated. Postmates is so much easier to use. I wish that Waitr would add a few things to their app. The first is, they should add a better way to track your food. Postmates let’s you see the car and it’s movement. I’ve often had times where the driver has picked my food up and dropped it off and I haven’t received any notifications, this is such an easy fix Waitr. The other would be a REWARDS program. We all know you inflate your prices and charge extra, it’s kind of ridiculous you can’t have some sort of loyalty program for people who use your app often. I’ve spent a LOT of money with Waitr and it’s only worth it because I’m lazy.

Increasing price, decreasing quality.. Four orders in a row, each about a week apart, I received horrible service. Once my food took 3 1/2 hours to get here. No refund, no notice. I had to call them to ask where my food was because it was marked as delivered. The other times weren’t that extreme, but definitely took more than the “45 minutes” they broadcast and I’ve had my food never arrive a few times now. Please tell me why the service fee is now almost $10 instead of the $3.99 it was before. If they are paying their employees so poorly theyre relying on tips, then where is this money going? They also graciously base the tip off of the service fee combined with your food, so instead of tipping 25 percent of the $30 worth of food, you have to tip based off the delivery fee, service fee, food cost, and tax. So you end up with a $12 tip, $10 service fee, and $4 delivery fee. It ends up doubling the cost of the food now. But hey, they give out coupons for the free delivery so that makes it okay right?

Worst food delivery experience. I will no longer be utilizing the Waitr app for food delivery after the experience I had last night. In ordered food at 6:30 pm. The estimated delivery time was 8:30. My food did not leave the restaurant until around 9 pm. Shortly after I received a text from the driver saying that he had a flat tire. I asked if this meant that my order would be cancelled. He said “no, I’m on my way”. A while later I asked for an update and he told me again that his tire was flat and that he didn’t have a spare. I again asked if my order would be cancelled and he said “maybe”. He finally let me know at 10 pm after 3 1/2 hours of waiting that I would not be receiving my food. The money I paid was refunded, however, I wasted 3 1/2 hours waiting when I could have just gone down the street to McDonalds and picked up food in the first place (which is what I ended up doing at 10 pm).

Never again. You don’t know who to trust. We used Waitr tonight to avoid making dinner for us and two kids after working and school all day. I paid over $50 (minus tip and delivery fee) but the restaurant receipt said $40. When I called the restaurant I was told waitr can charge us whatever they want for the restaurants food. I won’t go into details of how stupid that even sounds. When I called waitr to ask them about this they told me the restaurant sets the prices... 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also ordered 3 additional items and didn’t receive them. I’m also pretty mad that I have no idea what the wait time is until after I submit and pay for my order. I waited AN HOUR AND A HALF! Last, the food I did receive was cold. I won’t risk this again. I have spent more time trying to fix all of these issues between two companies than if I would have just made dinner in the instant pot. Tell people how long they have to wait before they submit there order!

Inefficient app and service. I was hoping to write a positive review for this newly discovered app, but sadly will not be using them again. I ordered food to be delivered to my daughter on the campus of LSU and the app indicated that it was delivered. I checked with my daughter and she confirmed that she had not received it. I reached out to Waitr and they contacted the driver who indicated (in error or was it just a plain lie?) that they called me and I didn’t answer. I have not missed any calls and was informed that I would not receive a refund. They did, however, let me know what corner my food was left on. This was totally unacceptable and I will not use or recommend this app again. I will happily spread the word! If there was an option to give them zero stars, I would!! Do better people! There are other apps that are out there to use (Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc.). GOODBYE WAITR! ( I should have known by the improper spelling of ‘Waiter’.

Scam!. I should have came here and read the reviews before I placed my order. If you have this app trust me delete it! My order was missing sides because I wasn’t given the option to pick sides so I assumed I would get the standard what ever it normally comes with (in this case French fries). But no. Because I didn’t select a side (mind you I wasn’t able to) The restaurant assumed I didn’t want any side at all. Like I really wanted to pay $20 for 3 chicken tenders. They say they have this problem often with waitr. So disappointing man. FYI I’ve had several successful deliveries with DoorDash. I should have stuck with them. Oh and the customer service is bad too. The waitr driver gave me a 1-877 customer service number to call that kept saying number could not be completed as dialed. SCAM! And another thing people like to decide the tip after we receive the service. You don’t give a 20% tip and then wait and hope you get decent service.

Astronomical fees. They’re constantly sending coupons that look good on the surface ($20 off $50 order?!?). But after all the ridiculous fees are added, it costs WAY more the the exact same order from competitor companies. Their fees used to be reasonable. The service fee and delivery fees are insane now. Also, delivery fees should be shown from the get go and not just not during checkout process. $5.99 to deliver less than a mile with no traffic? Now, they’re literally the most expensive option. I’m disappointment because this used to be my favorite app. I used it multiple times a week. I had to resort to using other companies after the service and delivery fees kept creeping up to unreasonable levels.

Order was incorrect. Little help righting it.. I am very disappointed in the customer service that I received this evening through the Waitr app. I ordered from a restaurant that I eat with quite frequently. I paid extra for two salsas and a side of sour cream. When I received my order there was only one salsa and no sour cream. I had also ordered a cheese quesadilla. Well it came with chicken, and as a vegetarian, I couldn’t eat it. I called the restaurant and they told me that they fulfilled exactly what the Waitr app had sent them. There is no phone number to call for customer service with Waitr. So I tried the chat option. The customer service agent I talked to, Alexis, said that he could only help me if I emailed him proof of my incorrect order. By this time, the correct parts only order were completely cold. I expressed how upset I was and that I had received better service from a competitor and he told me to have a good day and ended the chat.

Never again. I am pregnant with twins and work a full time job running an organization. I hoped my money would be well spent on this service so I could actually relax when I got home. Wrong. Every time I’ve ordered has been a disappointment, but today, my food arrived two hours after I ordered it with excuses galore from the driver, and was freezing and undercooked. I’m still waiting to hear back from customer service, but I will not settle for anything less than a full refund after I had to go out in the rain and get dinner myself because the food was so disgusting (it is still sitting on my counter in case customer service wants proof it will not be eaten). I also ordered yesterday and the food arrived cold, but I chalked it up to a loss since I was so hungry and it came on time - I used to work in the service industry for ten years and am very patient and understanding. But this service, to me, is FAR MORE trouble than it is worth.

Disappointing Don’t use this app. After using the app for couple of years I found out they really don’t care about the customer. I order dinner from a restaurant that is 10 minutes away since I got sick and didn’t have the energy to cook. I also thought a couple of soup would help me regain my energy. After waiting for more than 50 minutes my order was cancelled. Later the customer support said my address was wrong which is surprising because I spent a lot of money ordering food for years and I didn’t make any changes. They emailed me saying they can’t refund and that they wanted me to have a good rest of the day. Matching automated email the same as the the customer service chat messages. Well this definitely is my last time using the app. Very disappointing and not the right way to handle business. Sad that I will lose $92.6 for nothing…I hope nobody get scammed like I did!

Don’t waste your time or money. I don’t get a lunch break on my job so I’ve ordered waitr a good bit since they can just come to me. I’ve had multiple occasions where my order was missing food or incorrect, but nothing serious enough to make me quit using the app. Well that’s changed. Today I ordered food to be delivered at work, like I always do. I was talking to my manager and an employee and noticed my Waitr driver tried texting and calling, so I responded to her and told her where we’re located at. She and the company said I had waited too long and I would not receive a refund nor would I get my food. 3 people were there the entire time and no one ever saw a driver but since she “waited 10 minutes” I’m not entitled to any food or money. Absolutely ridiculous. NEVER USING WAITR AGAIN. **also when I spoke to them about the incident it was a chat service only, I asked for a number to call and they told me sorry we can’t do anything or give you a number and closed out the chat. VERY rude and unprofessional.

Orders not accepted. This is the 2nd time recently that I have tried to use Waitr and was disappointed by not receiving accurate information. On the first order, I waited an hour and had not order update in app. I texted the help line and they placed the order. Delivery was delayed because they never acknowledged the order. Tonight’s order was placed and again at an hour prior to promised delivery, I checked the app and there was no update. I reached out to helpline and again (different city/ different restaurant), the helpline texted to say they were working on it. At my latest scheduled delivery time, I received a call to ask if I wanted to cancel delivery or wait for restaurant to accept order! This is unacceptable, now I have to place another order and wait at least 2 hours. Waitr needs to work harder to watch orders. If I wouldn’t have checked twice, I just wouldn’t have received my order!!???

Sooo Bad. I ordered over $40 worth of food recently and it took 2 hours and 20 minutes for my food to arrive. There was no notification as to why it was taking so long or what the new wait time would be. It took over 15 minutes to get a response from the “live chat” and then the guy told me that Waitr doesn’t even have a way to know if the restaurant was closed or not but somehow it will still let me order the food and wait for hours on end? After trying to get a refund they conveniently stopped responding to me on the live chat. I ended going out and getting food after coming to the conclusion that my food was never coming and then I get a notification that the food was finally picked up. I ended up spending over $60 that night on food because of this trash app. I will never use this again and would recommend everyone trying an alternative to this service. I still have not received a response on my refund status and that this point I just assume they never will pay me back.

Waitr beats all other delivery apps!. My family loves Waitr! Their app is very well laid out and easy to use. The group ordering feature is amazing when you are trying to coordinate an order between friends or family. The menus are a breeze to look through and the customization options for individual items are by far the most comprehensive compared to other delivery apps. Admittedly, there have been times where QC could be better from the drivers and the restaurants. Missing utensils and drinks are on the driver and items being wrong or missing are on the restaurant from my point of view. However, these occurrences are have become substantially less frequent in the past year and are quite rare now. Not to mention that when something truly gets messed up Waitr’s support team has done an excellent job of being responsive in rectifying the issues. UPDATE: The latest update seems to have fixed the problem with having to login every time! Also, there is a super convienent way to check order status on the main screen now!

Waiter driver took my food and never delivered it !. I had just moved into my new house Saturday evening and decided to Call waiter to order the family some pizza after we’d been working all day moving long stormy short The delivery time my pizza was supposed to be here was untrue my pizza wasn’t delivered to me So I wait ten minutes and then I get a message from “Emily” saying that the waiter driver wasn’t able to make it to the pizza place before the restaurant closed (this around 930 at night ) I thought that was strange what restaurant like this one would close at nine 😑 so I called the pizza restaurant and I got the manager on the phone he remembered my order because he placed my order I called the restaurant when I put my order in on waiter just to check to see if it was in the manager told me yes he it was going in the overn now I even changed my drink order ! So After my the time my pizza was due to be at my house I called the pizza place and the manager said they close at ten by this time it’s almost the and he also the waiter driver picked it up a few minutes before !!! Then I contacted waiter and they was just like sorry I’ll Give you a full refund now but like what the hell we supposed to do about food now bc it takes 6 to 5 business days for the money to Come back to My card ! This was the first time I’ve ever had terrible service with waiter !

Don’t waste your time. Use Door Dash or Grub Hub. Three of us ordered food last night. 1 hour and 45 min later it finally arrived. They guy still forgot our drinks. First customer service guy was good. Second guy, didn’t really seem to care about the customer. Told me that he would give me a $35 refund towards on my order and refund my drinks. Checked, and he only refunded my drinks. Have had numerous cases where a Waitr driver forgot something, but never contacted them til last night. Last night my 35 week pregnant wife ordered some food. Hangry doesn’t begin to describe that 1 hr 45 min wait. Terrible customer service, drivers need to be taught to actually check the order that’s given to them against what the customer order states, and if you’re going to make a pregnant woman wait almost another hour on her food, refund her in full and actually refund her. Not offer us $35 against our bill and only take off the drinks. Terrible.

Fast, Simple, Easy. Had to delete this app for a little while because it became TOO easy to have my food delivered (I started gaining a little happy weight). That said, returning to the app was just as easy, and I have to say that the improvements to the app are spectacular. It has crisp design, is very user friendly, and I had no problems with my order other than menu discrepancies in the part of the restaurant. I just wrote a note for the restaurant, and they took care of it. This is a much longer wait process for one’s food so be warned, but when you simply can’t leave the house because you’re alone with the kids and car’s in the shop, this is a great option. Also, I love being able to leave tips through the app! Fast, Simple, Easy => Satisfied.

Awesome app that needs some minor improvements. DEVS, PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE AT THE BOTTOM. I work a job where traffic is so bad that if anyone forgets to bring lunch, 9 times out of 10 they won’t go get food. The $5 delivery fee is justifiable when you place a group order and don’t have to clock out (and not get paid) to go get food. Awesome app in general, but a few things developers could work on: 1. Tips should be given after the driver arrives. I understand that sometimes food is late because of the restaurant, and not everyone would be understanding of that, but my next point will prove why this shouldn’t exist. Disclaimer: I tip at minimum 30% wherever I go because I have friends that are waiters/waitresses and I understand the struggle. Also, I’m a decent human being. 2. My friends and I ordered through Waitr last week, and after placing the order we were told it would be an hour and a half, because that’s how long the restaurant takes for Waitr orders. (We waited over 2 hours altogether). PEOPLE SHOULD BE ADVISED OF THIS BEFORE ORDERING. 30-45 minutes is fine, but having to wait 2 hours when you’re hungry isn’t okay. It defeats the purpose of using the app. If developers worked on letting you know the time before placing the order prior to paying, this would be a 5 star review.

Horrible Service. I ordered food off the app. After an hour my food had still not been delivered and the app said they were still preparing it. I called the restaurant and they told me my food was picked about five minutes ago. It only about 15 to 20 min. to drive from the restaurant to my house. It took them over an hour to deliver my food. From the time I ordered until the time it was received it took 2 hours. What is worse than that is my order was not correct and it was nasty and cold. The delivery guy even said we are slammed to night but I keep your food nice and hot for you. I text the guy after he left letting him know my order was not correct nor was it hot. No response. I sent a message to the company about their service and again no response. This is no way to run a business. If you are so slammed then don’t take orders. I would rather be told we are to busy then to overpay for cold, crappy food. I would recommended any other food service than this one.

Was once a great service. I have been using Waitr since the very beginning on the companies inception. I live in the area the company started and was a major supporter for years. Unfortunately, since changes in the ownership and management in recent years many of the local restaurants have stopped using the service due to an increase in fees. Some restaurants that are still using the service have resorted to increasing their menu prices to cover fee increases that they have received. In addition to the price increases users are receiving due to the impacts to restaurants, the service fees to the users have increased also. Having to pay approx. $20 just for services plus tips has gotten to high of a cost to continue using the service. I am deleting the app and will be seeking other food delivery service providers or will go back to the old fashion way of just calling and picking up my own food.

Delivery driver only redeeming quality. The driver was on time and the food arrived as expected. However it was a nightmare ordering through the app. We did a group order. Gave everyone a chance to put in their choices. Got ready to check out and ... “sorry we can’t find that order” message pops up... it’s like 1130 and we got several hungry people expecting food. Too late to do anything else. Had to cancel the group order which it also said “could not find that order” when we tried that. Closed out the app and started over. Placed a second group order. It let us place that one. When choosing the tip I choose custom %. App would not let me change the %. Switch to custom $ and it let me do that. Very unpleasant experiencing using this app. Good food, nice drivers, app needs serious improvement. Also it be nice to be able to give a tip AFTER your food arrives...

Two bad experiences in a row.. On my first experience, I got a too-small portion-sized, warm version of a poke bowl. If you know anything about raw fish, it needs to stay chilled. Instead, I watched as the driver took it out of a warming bag and handed it to me. On the second experience, it took an hour to get two smoothies from a place that’s a ten minute drive from here. I tried to message the support line to see if I could contact the driver, but got an automated message back that said their office is closed. The website says that support is open until 10:30 PM CST. It’s 10:26 PM as I type this. I was just writing a note to put on my door to tell the driver that I’m going to bed and not to knock when she got here. When I told her that it had taken an hour and asked what happened, she just said, “I had three orders in a row and you’re my last stop.” No apology. No offer to make it right. I’ve messaged support again asking for a refund, but I’m not using this app again.

My driver was awesome. So I ordered from firehouse subs (Martinez) today. So i order three chocolate milks because it was on the app so i had one of workers call me and say they don’t sell milk ok so why do you have it on the Waitr app that’s beside the point so she asked if we could do kids cups so i said sure then she just hung up on me. So Ray my Waitr driver calls me and asked me what kind of soda my kids wanted i told him all sprites well he was only able to fill 2 out of the 3 because they ran out so this awesome driver went to McDonald’s and got a sprite and delivered our food. He didn’t have to do that because he could’ve called and said they ran out but he went so above and beyond that i was in total awe. If i could pick my driver i would pick him because he knows how to treat his customers. THANK YOU RAY FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

Easy to use and reliable. I’ve tried lots of other apps to deliver food and some of them don’t have updated restaurant list so you can place an order for a restaurant that no longer uses the service, but never receive your food or a refund. I had been using one other site in particular before this and the food would always arrive an hour and 1:45 to 2hrs later. The delivery fees or between six dollars and $10. And sometimes it was cold. With this app, not only does it will come in less than 45 minutes but also you can place a group order and everyone can pay for their own without having to do several small orders. Easiest app and very fast service

No way to communicate with driver. Why is the only form of communication I can make with anyone during an open order just to customer service? I wanted to contact my driver because I was notified that my food had been delivered when it definitely had not. If I were able to reach them I could’ve told them in that exact moment that I was standing outside my door and definitely did not have my food. Instead I got the run around by some customer service rep that said “they said they left it in front of a white door”… it’s an apartment complex, all the doors are white. The secondhand communication kept me from finding my food, and while they did provide a refund (in 3-5 days), I had to drive to the restaurant myself because a refund still didn’t feed my family. Ridiculous. I’ve since deleted my account and will no longer be using ASAP.

DONT DOWNLOAD... Do not do it!. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I got the wrong order delivered and then when I tried to call it said their phone lines were temporarily down and to use the chat box in the app. I sent a message using their chat and received an automatic response that said we typically reply within 5 hours. I called the restaurant hotline and they said they would have the correct order deliver, it took another 45 minutes and I STILL received the wrong order. I emailed support and they said the restaurant would not do a refund so Waitr couldn’t honor refunding my money. I paid $30 for an order that I never received. I received the wrong order twice which was two small pizzas rather than two medium pizzas. I would have saved money by ordering small pizzas but instead I don’t receive the medium pizzas I ordered in the first place and I’m still out the full price. Rudest customer service reps, the restaurant was very rude, and now it’s bull crap I’m out all this money for horrible horrible service.

Terrible app, try postmates or Uber eats. Deleting this app. I waited an entire over hour for my meal. I got nervous after not hearing anything after 30 minutes so I messaged them on the app twice. Then I sent out two tweets to Waitr asking for help. Finally two hours after I placed my order they called blaming it on the restaurant. Which is crazy because it took them TWO HOURS to respond to me. Then another two hours after my initial order was placed someone messaged me on the app to tell me that the restaurant was closed and they’ll refund me. Here’s the thing.... when I placed my initial order, the restaurant was 45 minutes from closing. I could go on and on off all the times Waitr has dropped the ball, but instead me and my money are going to postmates and Uber eats. By the way, on postmates you pay a flat $10 fee/month for delivery AND you don’t tip until after you receive your order. Anyway, I’m done with Waitr. I’ve been a user for 2 years, it’s nice to have two new options in Baton Rouge.

Why tip before?. I love the app making it a lot easier ordering online from different places using the same technique instead of figuring out each different sites ordering process. The only issue I have technically isn’t an issue but more of an annoyance. I firmly believe in tipping well for good service, but only after service is performed. Tipping in advance gives me the feeling that someone may think I live too far out in the country for a lousy 30%tip. Or they may be someone who figures they already have the tip so why care about the service. The tipping in advance feature should be modified to be able to add a tip after the service or cash tip upon delivery options. I’ll don’t want to have to contact someone about poor service to get a tip refunded. I’d rather let the tip do the talking.

Cold food. Wanted pizza delivered, for my elderly mom and me. Called the pizza restaurant and they said there were two app that deliver. I asked which they recommend, they said waitr, so I downloaded. The pizza place a 5 min drive away, so I was surprised that it was going to take 50 min, but was ok with that. I watch the app for updates, and it took 15, then 20, the 30, then 40 min and the pizza was still “being made” . I called the restaurant and asked when I might get the pizza. They salsa is the driver hasn’t come. So I asked, “so the pie has been done and is just sitting there?” They said yes. At this point I knew I was going to get a cold pizza. Sure enough, the driver picked the pie up 10 min later, the pie arrived stone cold 20 min later. Clearly this was a screwup on the part of Waitr. If you don’t have enough drivers to deliver food at the temp it’s supposed to be, just say driver not available, so people can find another option. My elderly mother struggled chewing the cold rock hard pizza, and the special moment that I flew across the country for was ruined. I talked to the customer support, and she gave me the 5.00 delivery fee, on the 25 dollar pizza. That’s just unacceptable. I pointed all this out to her, and that was it. She refused any further refund, for a cold pizza that was clearly their fault. I sincerely hope that people consider a different choice for their delivery, as the delivery, attitude and customer service has all are bad. Thanks.

Lafayette, Louisiana waitr is horrible.. So many times the waitr in Lafayette has forgotten my sauces, drinks, they’re horrible with responding when these things happen. Twice that my sauces weren’t in my box, waitr failed to respond for 30 minutes. Once they did, they asked if I would like my sauce... 30 minutes later... I complained saying it shouldn’t take 30 minutes and no reply.. so I guess no sauce. The second time i simply got no reply and bought sauce from the store. The drink wasn’t a big deal until waitr literally never responded and just let me lose money on a drink I didn’t receive. And now a restaurant did not have what I ordered (no big deal) but when trying to get in touch with waitr was horrible. Didn’t respond to any messages and waited on the phone for twenty minutes. Finally someone answered and just had a bunch of excuses for me. Even saying that the waitr in LAFAYETTE TENDS TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. If postmates or Uber eats were in the area I’d let them have my money well before waitr. Who usually wastes mine.

Download DoorDash instead.. Save yourself and order DoorDash or Uber eats. I use delivery services very often due to my work schedule and being the 24hr care giver for my mother. My orders are wrong 8/10 times. They do not check the orders or redeliver any mistakes which often meant myself or someone would end up with a missing meal! (Or item if we are lucky). I finally deleted this app when I had 4 wrong orders back to back. Got sick of it. Tired of the constant refunds instead of them making it right. Called to complain and the guy on the support line literally laughed at us!!! I worked for waitr when they just started in lake Jackson while I was going to nursing school. I was sent back a number of times to redeliver missing meals or items. Even if they were just drinks! And now they don’t do the same for me 🤷🏽‍♀️. I understand that can be a tedious task for your drivers but unhappy customers = no customers. And no customers = no company. Just saying.

Use another delivery service!!. I have spent lots of money using this app but never again. I have had problems before with my orders being incorrect and their customer service is terrible. It takes forever to chat with someone (responses are EXTREMELY slow) They were unwilling to work with me at all when my order was completely wrong because I waited till the next day to contact their customer service because I knew the times to chat with anyone would take forever so I waited till I had time. They told me without a photo of the incorrect food there was nothing they could do. I told them this was unacceptable and they basically told me to have a nice day. I will be deleting this app and taking advantage of other apps like Door Dash who don’t ask for evidence when a order is incorrect and will immediately refund you. Don’t waste your time or money with this app.

First Order Fail. It was a rainy, cold night in Birmingham, so I thought I’d give Waitr a try. First problem, I almost gave up before ordering. Three separate time I ordered and got to check out before I was notified that I was out of the delivery area. Why would the app let me get all the way to check out? I had to put my address in just to search for places, so if they won’t deliver from certain places, they shouldn’t even show up in the list. Every place I chose was under three miles from my house! Second problem, my final, successful order was an hour and a half late and sat for over an hour at the restaurant. I live near the restaurant so I called the restaurant 15 mins after the scheduled delivery time and they said not only had it not been picked up but that it had been sitting ready for an hour. The hostess I spoke to gave me Waitr’s customer service number, so I called and was given the option to get a call back, which never came. I finally called to cancel the order an hour after it was due and it had just been picked up. The Good, my delivery driver was very apologetic and he explained that the order had been assigned to him before he was even on the clock. He said Waitr was advising him to tell his customers to email customer service so I did and got a full refund.

No wait with Waitr. My driver (📢🥰LATRICE🥰📢) is the sole reason behind this rating...she texted me when she was on the way, food was hot when she delivered it AND SHE WAS ON TIME!!! Very friendly and professional! I’m realistic to know that things can happen, but I hope that my future experiences will be like this. I’ve had one bad experience using Waitr, but everyone deserves a second (sometimes third) chance to get things right! P.S. if I’m at a restaurant I don’t tip before hand...especially since tipping is based on service PROVIDED. As mentioned before I’ve had bad experiences with drivers and knowing that I’ve given you my money already is a HUGE PROBLEM for me. Providing a selection to “tip at delivery” would be good option to have when completing your order!

Deplorable Customer Support. The Customer Support for this company is awful! The only option to resolve an issue is the chat feature, no phone number! They take no responsibility for their errors and simply end a chat if they don’t want to answer any further questions. I ordered mexican food tonight for my family of 4. The entrees were not delivered. All I received were rice, beans, cheese dip and a taco. When I finally got a representative via the online chat I was told they could attempt to coordinate another delivery but that it would be an hour and a half. When I asked for a full refund I was told they could only refund the items that were not delivered! My family could not make a meal with the portion of the order that was delivered nor could my children wait another hour and a half for a “possible” delivery. If this is how they do business I will not be using them again. They should not be able to operate a business this way!

Getting Better!. There has been a turn around in the past few months in CEO & management, and they have been doing great! I like WAITR cause they are more PROFESSIONAL with their uniform when they arrive as opposed to grub hub and doordash where it feels like a stranger handing over your food. I have also noticed that customer service and speed has improved. I highly recommend, especially in a time where we are not allowed to dine in. I will probably still use it even when we are allowed because there will probably still be a social distancing rule in place meaning lines to restaurants will still be long!

First and last. This was my first time using the app. I didn’t trust that things would go right and I should have followed my first thoughts. My order took over 65 minutes. It was also cold. One of the items inside turned over and ruined my entire meal. If delivery times will be long we I feel that a few things should take place: give accurate delivery time, do not prepare the food until it is closer to its pickup time so the meal isn’t cold or dried out, place the order inside of some sort of bin that will keep the meal upright even in turns, and offer faster response times when a customer have an issue with their order. It’s not like I ordered an pair of jeans from online. If I’m having an issue with food replying to a customer service issue 20 minutes later will not do! Bring on more phone support help during peak times and special events if needed. Not happy at all.
