Barely works. I love that I can still control my tv with my real remote being broken but it lags like crazy. The response times on button presses feel like a gamble. Sometimes I have to click a button 10 times before it actually responds on the TV. When trying to navigate sections I end up needing to hit a button, wait 5 seconds, hope it moves on screen then click again. It's agonizing trying to navigate any screen. The only good thing I can say is it's nice I can at least sorta use my tv with my real remote broken.

Great back up remote app. I found myself looking for the remote control in for sometime I couldn’t find it. I had to manually change the buttons on the TV which is fine. But the convenience of it off with being missed. I downloaded this app, and in no time I had the ability to cast YouTub I found myself looking for the remote control for sometime I couldn’t find it. Not helpful for my situation. You see I got this app because my actual remote isn’t functioning. I can’t use the app because i have to click ok with my actual remote which is broken. So I’m stuck with an app that can't help me

Scan doesn't work. 'Start a Scan' button wasn't working at all so I bought the paid version to remove the ads and hoping it would fix the button issue. It didn't! 😡 It won't scan to find my TV, making the app completely useless. Happy to change my review to higher stars if app developer replies quickly with a solution.

Life saver. My kids lost my smart remote so of course I couldn’t use any of the tv features until I downloaded this app now I’m back in action !! It’s a lil buggy at times but I’ll deal with it versus not having a remote at all

Opens to an AD website and stays there. No remote.. Installer the App and tried to open. It took me to spectrum Internet service website that wanted me to signup for their service and there was no way to get rid of the ad nor get away from the AD website page to ever get to a remote. Will be uninstalling this totally useless app. Just opens to an AD website and stays there.

Works great!. Haven’t had any problems since purchase about a year ago. Would definitely recommend.

Need help. I broke my control and it won't connect to my tv it says it's found it but it'll ask me if I turned it in 30 seconds and to check if it's connected to the same network my tv model number is 49LH570A LG SMART TV

This was a great app but.... This was a great app I've always used it with my TV. You have one ad that you have to deal with every time you open the app but the developers got greedy and now you get an add after every single clicks which makes the app unusable. I am so disappointed. They don't care about the user experience but how much money they can make from every ad they display

Why its great and bad. Its an amazing an easily accessible app but the only issue is the ads. You see the ads come every 5 seconds and are very irritating and annoying and since this is an online app you cant turn off the WIFI is which presents a major issue. Hopefully the app creator will decrease the ad pop ups

dope. I lost my controller in a move and the universal remote i bought at a retail store didn't do enough for the smart tv options a friend told me about the app and it's working perfectly

Overpriced and falls short. Other applications recently are doing much better job! You have to pay $6 for this to stop the annoying adds! And after this, you have to search for your TV every time you want to change the channel or even raise the volume! Very inconvenient honestly

Garbage!. Downloaded this app, most of it works ok but the 3D, mouse, and keyboard buttons do not work. I thought by purchasing the paid version these items would work. Nope I was wrong. The only thing paid version does is remove the adds. Who cares! Sent a support email and the only thing I have gotten back is an auto reply. Absolute waste of $6. Don’t waste your time or money!

Finally bought the full version.. It was pesky with the adds, and load up time. But I was putting off buying the full version (just being cheap). But my batteries were dying on my remote and gave in, & it was totally worth it! The load up time was solely cause of adds, opens quicker than any app on my phone. I spend less time looking for my phone than my remote anyway and now I don't have to buy a pack of batteries (:

Takes too long after going through advertisements. Too many advertisements

How it works. So first you music press the tv on the top left and then you will see a button 🖲 it will sat start scan then it will search for you’er LG tv so then it will take you to the Control then you can start watching tv whit you’er phone.

Pop ups. The remote is the best I’ve found. It works great and is completely compatible from the minute you download the app. However, full screen adds, and 5 second commercials pop-up every 8 or so key strokes which makes the experience very aggravating. The only alternative is to $6 for the premium version. But as back-up remote, I feel as if that is much too expensive for something I use occasionally, and I would rather find another app that isn’t as painstakingly cumbersome as this one.

Great remote ++++++. My go to remote since I can't find my tv remote and works on both phones and doesnt waste any AA batteries like my doofy remote (Hate the ads but I understand it's a free app)

Backup Magic Remote. Works great. I haven't paid to remove ads yet, but I might because it's only useful for a primary remote if it didn't pops ads every time you need it. Also I think the buttons could be laid out a little better and maybe have trackpad support for the Magic Remote TVs. Finally I think it's great there's a number pad in this, because it's missing from the original remote's minimalist design.

RIP OFF!!!. These scammers recently updated the free version to add an Ad every four or five buttons you press which is RIDICULOUS! And if you decide to spend the money on the “full version” you can consider yourself dooped because there will STILL be ads just not as many(still a lot though), this app is a complete scam go online and buy the remote for 7 dollars.

Annoying. Ads pop up every 5 seconds. It seems to work fine but I can’t even consider purchasing the ad free version because I’m not done testing all the features. For God sakes at least wait 10 seconds before your next add. You almost had $6.99 from me. Moving on to the next app...

Good but a few problems. Just when advertising pops up and you need to pause or something right away it makes it slightly frustrating

Awesome app. This is a great app if you’re to lazy to look for the remote. Works like a charm just the adds are annoying but I’d rather have that instead of paying for and app that doesn’t even work.

Too many ADS!!. We bought a Demo TV from the store and the Select button is broken so I downloaded this app. In the 15 minutes I have been using it to set up my new TV I have gotten an Ad Every 60 seconds!! Cannot wait for my replacement remote to be delivered. UPDATE Okay 24 hrs in and now I can’t use the app at all because an add pops up and locks. Same ad Every Single Time! I only beed the select/enter function.

When it wants to work. It works good when it’ll actually connect, but is disconnects often without even turning off my TV. And sometimes the buttons will lag. But when it actually wants to work, it works well!

LGEE - worst app - endless ads. If you have this app delete and install Smartify I only give it a “1” star because there is no choice for “-10” stars

DONT DOWNLOAD. Honestly, if i can give this app 0 stars i would. I don’t ever write reviews but this one i had to. It’s horrible. that’s all there is to it. Let me tell you; at first it connected quickly and SOME buttons would work. Like the arrows. But the most important button, the “ok” button doesn’t work whatsoever. I tried redownloading and refreshing the app but it doesn’t work. and not only that, every button you click you get an ad. i understand it’s free and you need ads but NOT. WITH. EVERY. CLICK. i just feel like it’s not good. so there’s my opinion.

Not very useful. I got this app for the primary purpose of controlling the sound level on an LG smart tv. It worked intermittently about half the times I tried to use it. Then it quit entirely. Being low vision, I really liked the size of the buttons and the screen on my ipad. Unfortunately, most of the buttons didn’t work. I could turn the tv off, but not on. The volume and mute buttons were about the only others I used. The app is free at first but blasts you with some really annoying commercials making it even more difficult to use. I paid for the ad free version before I realized it didn’t work well.

It requires wifi. My remote's batters are dead and I don't have enough money. I find the app and download it It downloads and click it. I test the app and I click the power button and it says "Turn on the your wifi and go on the same wifi as your tv but I don't have wifi so I can't play any movies or play any games.😡

Good. I have been looking for my remote forever it feels like. I have tried numerous remote apps on my phone and came across this one and it works so much better than the others. Also very easy to use. Thank you.

Never connected and ads are super annoying. I never could get the app to connect to my tv despite being 10 feet away and connected to the same WiFi. I followed all instructions...it just never worked! Also annoying ads played anytime I pressed any button to try to sync the tv and app! Too frustrating to waste anymore time on!

Fixed the zoomed display problem. Thanks for responding quickly in updating the app for the display problem after the software updates

Worthless garbage. Bought full version which did not remove the ads, and there are a bunch of them, although they had no problem charging my card. The only thing this app does is turn off my LG TV and no other functions work. If you want to pay for an app that makes you view a ton of ads and only controls your power button than spend away. If not skip it.

Smart app for smart tv. Ok as everyone know the wand stinks. This app controls everything on my lg tv with ease. It is more accurate than using a little pointer that needs calibration for accurate selecting. You will be so happy to download and use this app and leave the wand for magicians.

Doesn’t work.. I was looking for app to control my LG smart tv and found this one and was thinking that it would be good to seeing that my kids sometimes lose the tv remote at times. So I downloaded it and tried it out. I tried the scan for my tv and it said that it found my tv but every time I touch a button on my phone the message keeps popping about being on the same WiFi and doesn’t work. So I put in the IP address for my tv and it’s the same thing.

Some ads refuse to close. Free version is somewhat functional but large number of ads refuse to close even after extended time to view, multiple presses on “x” to close, and clicking to visit advertiser’s site. Have to close app & restart to function. Seems intentional to force you to upgrade.

No previous channel button. Got this remote when my remote broke. Poorly designed. No previous channel button. I have broadcast tv. Most channels have multiple subsets (i.e. 4.1, 4.2 etc.) the only way to get to a subset channel is by scrolling one channel at a time, as there is no way to access the subset (4.4 for example) directly by channel number. Cannot access the settings menu either Would download a different one had I not already purchased the ad delete

You need another working remote to set this up. I got this because I lost the real remote. But the app wants me to click a specific bottom on the screen to set this app up. I can’t do it using the app itself. That seems like a bad business model to me. So, I’m going to download a competitor’s app that is easier to use. I’d give this zero stars if I could.

Good if you only need volume control. Volume control is the only thing that works majority of the time. Paid for the ad free version bc if you hit rewind & ad immediately comes up, causing you to rewind a minute longer than needed.

On/off. I love the remote it solves when I don’t wanna get up from the couch... The only thing is that I can’t turn the tv on I can turn it off I just can’t seem to turn it on but otherwise this is a cop not a drop

Mixed feelings. The remote itself works good, however I paid for the no ads, the money was taken from my account, but I still have ads every time I open the remote, and a lot of the ads I can’t close, I have to force quit the app over and over again until I finally get a different ad. I did contact them about it but I never received a response

Good app easy to use. LG TVs are the hardest to modify to your needs but this app makes it easy to install and Incase you loose the remote still have a backup, I recommend this app

Great idea, but the ads kill it. Nice layout and works well after the tv is powered on. But it doesn’t turn on the tv, still have to get up on a ladder to press the power button. And the ads are awful, pressing volume up and after I think 7 presses an ad pops up, you click it because you’re trying to keep bringing up the volume and now you have to close the ad, go back to the app and continue. Price is steep for what you get plus the money generated by the inadvertent ad clicks.

Great application. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the free version of the program pops up ads every minute making the program virtually unusable. The paid version has full functionality.

Too many ads. This remote has WAY too many ads! I can handle a few ads here and there but you can barely touch a button for a second without another ad popping up. About 5-6 adds pop up within a minute of trying to pick a show on Netflix. I get it, that’s how they stay in business but an ad every 2 seconds is a bit much.

Can’t connect. After I scan and select the tv I get the prompt on my phone saying confirm the connection with your tv... on the tv it says yes or no to confirm, well the problem is when I tap ok on my phone to get the prompt to go away so that I can use the buttons under the prompt, the selection box on the tv goes away. Then I tap a button on the remote (phone) again and the whole process repeats itself. Very frustrating when tapping ok to get the notification to disappear ends the GUI box to do the very task the notification is asking you to do.

Great app. Works perfectly. Ads get annoying so I just upgraded to the paid version.

Doesn't work. This app Annoys me so much!!! I bought it because I was annoyed of the advertisements every 5 seconds!!! But how annoying is it that it doesn't work most of the time like I literally have to close the app and re open so it can function just to change ONE channel so I take like 10 mins to get to the channel I want !!!!! Good, but to many. LGee is really good for when our TV remote isn’t working, but there is WAY to many ads!! The fact that you have to buy it to stop it to give you ads is sooooo unfair. But I like the layout it is super easy to remember!! So it depends if your patient or your IMpatient and short tempered.

Ads a ridiculous!!. The actual remote app is good, when you can use it, but the ads are ridiculous!! EVERY time you turn the app on to use the remote it makes you watch an ad, and for this reason I have deleted it.

Great App ruined by bad Ad implementation.. App works great, needs a GUIDE button on the default screen. Totally ruined by full page ads (the banners across bottom are fine). Every time you return to the app full page ads (often video with countdowns) pop up. No functions work until it has contacted ad server and downloaded. Very poor.

Good app mostly. Does everything really well except change the channel consistently, all other functions work reliably, sound, mute input, control of Netflix etc, but it will only change channels sometimes. Works first time after I re-download it, but as soon as I go to use it again, only works about 1 in 10 times.

LT TV Remote doesn’t work anymore. The App finds the LG TV on the network but just doesn’t work - it did work some time ago but no longer (perhaps something to do with iOS updates?)

Ads. Absolute joke the amount of ads are rediculous and they put the X button for the ads where the off button is for the tv. So when you close the 5 ads that pop up at once you turn your tv off also.

Everytime i push a button i get an add. If i relied on this remote id end up missing every show i watch and would spend my day watching adds, remove those and would be great. So id recommend not downloading this app as it will drive you crazy.

Great premise- terrible execution. Laggy. Unresponsive. Horrible add pop-ups that even the "premium" version doesn't fix. Just buy an extra remote, seriously, it may cost you more $$ upfront but it'll save your hospital bill after you have an aneurism trying to use it without adds- EVEN with when signing up to "premium". Oh sorry? I mentioned that already?

Good app. This is the only lg tv remote app that i found that works. My problem is my tv is a new model. Some features are new and arent on the remote. Volume only works and changing channel doesnt and everything else. Im not sure which exact model my tv is but it uses the magic remote. Please try to make one like a magic remote then i will give 5 stars. Im only 11 lol

Good but could use some tweaks. In the free version there are a lot of ads which I understand, however the problem I’m having is that the x to close the ad sits right on top of the power button so if you’re not careful you end up switching off your tv, then you have to manually get up and turn it back on and wait for wifi to reconnect. I understand developers need ads to get paid for their work, and that I can choose to buy the paid version, however the free version should still be as functional as possible. Can you pls fix this! Other than that , this app has been a suitable replacement for my lost remote and I can access all of the smart functions I normally use.

Great app - needs a keyboard. When using the app to control the TV - which works wonderfully- the need for a keyboard is often arises ... When I open YouTube/Stan/Google on the TV and then I need to search....Can you help! How about this....when I toggle to the number pad can there be a keyboard to follow in the toggle.

Ridiculous. It says the TV has to be on before you can use the remote control on it- which is nuts if you want to turn the TV ON with the remote control. Even once it’s on- it’s touch and go at best.

$10 to remove ads. We paid $1000 for the TV and the awful sluggy OS and you expect us to pay another $10 for using something that should be free without ads popping every 10 seconds? I saw around 5 ads before even pairing it. Roku allows you to have it for free without ads and the entire box and remote cost $80 and everything else is free. This isnt 2013, everyone has smart TVs we know it doesnt cost anything to have a remote app

Keeps losing connection to TV. Keeps saying phone has to be connected to same wifi network as TV and when I try to re establish a connection it doesn’t find my TV. And I do not have this problem when using LG TV remote app so it’s not me.

Annoying !!!. This app partially works with my SmartTv/Smart-STB. Some buttons don’t work at all. I try to record a program on History channel. There was NO indication that recording started/works at all. I press recording button few times. The next day I check history channel and discovered that all programs since I pressed Record button has been recorded . Means since Monday and today is Wednesday each single program has been recorded. But there is NO button to delete recording. Also I have no idea where it is stored. There is no records in STB app at all. Frequency of pop up -advertising, are annoying. Is hard to control your TV because of stupid adds .

Best app for lg. Best out of all in this store for lg smart tv function wise anyways. Ads are pain in but but works quick and doesn’t crash and lets me use all functions of my tv.

Inconsistent connection!. Was working ok but has annoying ads every time any button is pushed. A few days after I paid to have ads removed it wouldn’t connect to my tv. Same exact thing happened with my husbands phone after he paid to remove ads..

Okay button doesn’t work. The app works, 60 percent of the time every time. Constantly needs to be closed and re opened, the ok button to select the app or channel doesn’t work at all anymore.

Won’t connect/ LAGS. I used to love this remote. But lately I guess with the new update there are ads EVERY single 5-7 taps. I hate it. It throws me off. While I try to connect to my tv, it tells me I don’t have a WiFi connection when I do. Very disappointed, wish it was like the version back then!!

More adds than anything ugh. The remote works it just won't turn TV on but every couple times you press a button an add pops up.... If you are searching for a movie it just takes way too long because you have to keep pausing to be able to skip the add. Horrible!

Expensive. The Ads are truly annoying! I guess that proves a lot about us. I Paid to get that turned off. Now it works. Nothing else to Say

I bought the app. I bought the paid version of this app for 6.99 and now I’m receiving messages saying they want to place adds again. What in the world? I don’t want to wait on adds to turn my tv off or adjust the volume!

Awesome. Glad there was an update this works great when it does on my iPhone 7 Plus

Keyboards. Should make the keyboard pop on your phone not on the tv to make it easier to type

Too many ads.. Very annoying with the amount of full screen ads. They could have been split screen.

App stopped working. We purchased the app (only because our dog chewed our remote and they changed the ads to every couple button presses which is ridiculous) and now it won’t respond to the button presses on our lg tv! I’m very frustrated and I want me money back for an inadequate product

It’s ok. Too many pop up ads when trying to use the app to access the tv just to change the volume or channel.

Works just fine. The ads don't bother me much and the function is better in this version. I like it.

Does not work. I have downloaded and re downloaded this app several times. It doesn't work for me at all. It says that it has detected my tv but none of the buttons work. It always says "is your tv turned and connected to same wifi"

Paid to remove ads x 2. I had reset my device and when I redownloaded the app I was charged another $7 to not have ads every 2 seconds. Same account, I had already paid....in retrospect I would have downloaded a different app for this

Lousy with ads. Worked nice for a minute, and then I couldn't even adjust the volume without relentless popups. Nothing would work, prompting me to pay for ad free (even though I clicked on a few accidentally), and I won't pay for an app that doesn't work so that I can see if it will once I pay. Pass.

Needs to be synced every time. It will not power on my tv. It kinda defeats the purpose if I have to power on the tv scan and accept every time I want to use the app. I guess if you lose your app it’s better than nothing. But not a time saver other than that.

Too many ads!. Although it works, there’s just way too many ads that continuously pops up after only a few clicks.. very frustrating

Too many ads. The app is flooded with ads before you can even link it to your tv. In 30 seconds 5 ads popped up. I understand they want us to buy a premium ad free version but why would I upgrade if I never get to see what I’m buying lol...

Ehh. Worked great for a while, now every time you turn off the tv you have to “relocate” it with the app for it to work again...

The most recent update makes this unusable.. Essentially - Every four button clicks, and a 5 second advertisement pops up. Which makes browsing a program guide, adjusting the volume, or just using this as a basic remote - An absolute chore.

Wont work. I dont know if they are trying to get me to upgrade, or if the ad frequency is just glitching, but I get an ad literally every time I attempt to push a button. I have not managed to even open an app with this remote because of the ads, and it has been 15 minutes. Not a good experience.

It works but... The app itslef works but if you want no add (which i feel is almost a necessary) its $$7.00. Kind of annoying but it does in fact work.

Push a button watch an ad. Screw apps like this that try to force you into buying the app by making it so annoying to use the free version. It’s not worth the $5 without the ads.

Garbage. This app is garage. You can’t do anything with being force to watch 3 ads no joke to turn of the volume you will have to watch an ad after each button press. Ridiculous.

Keyboard option doesn’t work. I downloaded his and paid for the add free version and the keyboard does not work. The main reason I got this one is for the keyboard function. It’s such a pain to use the arrows to move around. Please fix and come up with an update.

Real review. It connects to my tv and I can control the volume and Move everything around but the ok button doesn't actually do anything it won't load if you try and click on Netflix or any app

Can’t hold down buttons but still works. Ya can’t press and hold but the app is still better than buying a new clicker

Useless. Downloaded and installed the app. My television and phone are on the same network. The app indicates that it has identified the television yet is not able to exert any control whatsoever. No volume control. No channel control. No power control. Basically claims it’s connected but does absolutely nothing so that makes it a useless app.

When it works.... When it works it’s great but most of the time it doesn’t. Either it goes in unpaid mode or doesn’t find the TV. Sometimes it shows purchase restored sometimes thank you for your purchase Don’t waste your money

Too many ads make it annoying. Just about every time I hit a button an ad comes up and some of them are videos you have to watch. Super annoying but it DOES work.

Works just like the original remote.. Awesome application and I don’t have to look for the remote.

Needs work. This remote is nice, when it works. It’s frustrating that I need to re-sync multiple times a day. As well, I understand ads are necessary for a free app but that too slows me down when I need to use it

Love it but.... Is there a way to pull up an alphabet keyboard. Trying to login and can’t figure out how to enter my password for an app on my LG TV???

Almost never works. This app works only 15% of the time. Ads pop up after each button is pressed, and mostly only the Volume button operates correctly. Extremely unreliable and frustrating.

Used to be great.. App works great but now you can’t push a button more than two or three times before getting an add. Doing a search is impossible hell so is just browsing. Then they want like 6bucks to remove them. Nope I’m good keep it 🖕🖕🖕

Worthless. Must have TV turned on beforehand or can’t link (why have a remote if you cannot turn TV on with it??) Most of the functionality of remote doesn’t work....cannot change channels easily (if at all). Wish I could give zero stars.

Way too many commercials. Good app, but I couldn't type letters only numbers, there was NO way to type letters at all. and it kept switching to ads and commercials

Not Bad. Not a terrible backup remote, but there are too many ads. For instance, I was typing the title of a show and after every letter I clicked, an ad popped up. That was very aggravating.

2 stars - Deleted App. Literally an ad after every button I press. I don’t mind ads every now and again but it’s highly annoying after every single button pressed. Deleting app.

Too many ads. I just got the app and I’m already deleting it. While I was trying to look for a movie to watch on Netflix on my smart tv, an ad would pop up on the app every 5-10 seconds while using this app. It’s not worth the frustration

STOP THE ADDS. Adds are fine, I actually don’t mind a moment of commercials, but EVER 5 sec in the middle of umm choking the guide ummm anything!!!!!! STOP THE ADDS LIKE IM DEFINITELY NOT GONNA PAY FOR THE APP BC U MAKE IT SO U GAVE TO PAY TO USE THE APP NO YHANKS

Not useful without enter button. Would like the app if the enter/ok button worked but it’s the only button that doesn’t work.

Ads are annoying. I would give this a 5 star if it wasn’t for the ads. You can remove the ads, but you have to pay...
