It keeps good track but.... I think it should add automatically if it read the toll routes, will save us time for need of adding by giving the example if one pays (for example Sunpass in fl, or of you pay toll by plate). And it should also link with third parties of gps apps to be more exact ( use google maps or waze). Since sometimes it doesn't read the proper distance. Other than that good app.

Can't think of a way to do it better.... This app does what you want it to do! It makes it easy to manage all trips you make with your phone. It is easy to edit the trips if a different car/driver goes with the trip, easy to add an expense amount such as gas, and easy to delete irrelevant trips you make with your phone (eg, in a golf cart). It makes a difficult to remember chore easy! Update: 1 year later still tracking my miles for my biz with this app. Something that I doubt I could do the old fashioned way of pen and paper... certainly not for this long.

Awesome!. I work as a home health RN and this app saved me! I was always forgetting to write down the odometer reading and getting frustrated. Now I just print out the report each week and turn it in!

Brilliant!!!!. Congrats to the creator/s of this app. Very well thought of and easy to follow.. I'm not a tech-wise kind of guy but of all the similar apps out there, I think this one is brilliant... More power to you guys.

Great app that saves on time and paperwork. I would have given the app a 5 however on occasion the app will crash and I won't know it for a few days. I have been using it for 2 years now and it has been a tremendous timesaver for me. Not to mention my CPA loves the ease of pulling the reports for my taxes. For the small fee honestly you can't beat it.

👎🏼. It worked great the first year so I paid for three yrs AND THEN IT JUST STOPPED WORKING about 8 ios upgrades ago. I dont think its compatible anymore.

Horrible app. I reviewed all the mileage app on the market last May and decided to sign up for this app. I paid for the entire year. It was working fine until they changed to a new version in December or January. They told me that they were fixing the bugs and it would be a couple of weeks to fix. I was patient. I have been emailing them for over two months to fix the problem. It works sometimes and then it doesn't work. The customer support is terrible or non existent. I asked them to call me and they won't. The point is; don't buy this app. I have emails to back this stuff up.

This app is going to be very good. Any app does its best to start strong. This one has started well. Could it improve? Of course! But it does a lot now and the developer is responsive to suggestions. I tried it because it was free, but I would gladly pay for it as it is now. A user guide has just been published- a strong plus, and other improvements are soon to be released. This is a good product.

Very bad. Lost all my data and unable to retrieve and have to do taxes.

Miles are logged incorrectly requiring constant maintenance.. I have given up on this app. It requires constant maintenance and mileage ratchets up faster than my odometer. I often notice that the slipping happened over many previous trips. Apps with manual entry have proven quicker, more efficient, and accurate than MileWiz. Performance for price is not there. Subscriber beware.

Stop losing money. If traveling as part of your daily job this is a necessity. You do not realize how much money you were leaving on the table by not tracking your mileage. It's amazing to see how much driving we really do. This is a must get app.

Setup. I'll rate it higher or lower once I've used it driving but tried setting up my profile for when I work and it's very limited. It thinks everyone works day time hours. I work at night and it won't accept 10pm to 8am. So I assume it won't read my driving correctly???

It use to be good..... Originally this app worked great. The only part I didn’t like was the year end report did not have a way to add my company name. It was just a looonnngggg list of my business trips but didn’t state my company name at the top. THEN..... about a month ago it started breaking my trips into a ton of small ones and mileage was missing! I could drive 50 miles one way and get 10 notices from the app and only half the mileage was there if you add them all up. I guess the app was crashing en route. Contact support and they were quick to respond, however now I have to jump through some hoops to get it going again by signing up for a syncbits account to keep my data and then deleting the app and reinstalling. If I’m paying a monthly fee I would expect the app to work correctly. BTW, this is the first review of an app I’ve ever done which shows how irritated enough I am with it that I would write my first review.

Awesome App. This app completely saves me when it comes to tracking my miles. I'm a realtor, so I am constantly switching back and forth from work to personal miles, and this app makes it a breeze to organize and save just what I need.

Fantastic App; 4/5 Stars for Now! But, I'm New to the App!. 100% Very Easy-to-Use!...The App Automatically Tracks your Trips & I have found this App to be one of the best of all time in the Mileage Tracking App Department! I'm excited to be starting a job as an Uber-X Driver next week and with this app to help me keep track of all my trips, (whether they'll be business-related or personal-related); I'm sure I'll see some real savings, come tax time, thanks to MileWiz! One caveat: I am quite new to the app, so this is purely a first impression! Try it for yourself!

OK, But Lacking. I’ve been a paying customer of MileIQ for around 6 months, and it is pretty decent. Yet, it relies on Bing maps because it is a Micro$oft app using their other products. So, I decided to get this app to try out the differences. This is way more accurate, but severely lacking in features. Primarily, unlike MileIQ, there’s no web page interface. This is a real problem when you’re trying to classify and look at trips to fill out reimbursement forms, or want to print out a report. I’m currently paying for both, but will probably start looking for another alternative if the authors here don’t implement a web interface soon. Also, settings changes here are not as intuitive. Changing the price price mile doesn’t look like you’re in the correct spot due to lack of bold font or coloring of font.

Nice App, Great Price. I use this app to keep up with my business miles and for tracking my son's miles. He just got his permit and we half to log his mile for him to get his license. This app does a great job. I highly recommend this app.

Mileage wiz. Love it!!

Too many glitches. It will not let me sign into my iCloud account. It is breaking up my trips into smaller trips, and I cannot find any setting reasonably placed as an option to stop that from happening. It was random about two weeks ago. Now I have over 100 trips whereas I probably really only should have about 10 to 14.

So Helpful. I try to keep up with my mileage in a small book I leave in the car but forget most of the time. This doesn't let me forget and I always have my phone available.

Not worth five dollars a month. Open up the app it crashes. Can't schedule different hours during the week. Needs to be scheduled by the date not the day of week can't export monthly reports they lost 3 months of my trips when the program crashed every time I open it for a week in May 2015. They close tickets by notification then they say this resolves the problem. And you had to send them another email to tell him it doesn't resolve the problem. Should I go on

Great App. This app is great... I don't have any problems tracking my milage. What I like about this app vs others is the fact that this app shows the entire trip in the map as opposed to other apps that show you a small map of the beginning of the trip and a small app of the end destination of the trip making it difficult to remember what the trip was for....

Not Reliable. iPhone 4 Ver 7.1.2 - Don't reliably give trip, starts late, or breaks up trip into non-contiguous pieces, so can't be merged. If tou swipe to indicate trip is business, it indicates this was done, and gives kudos, but trip totally disappears. If you edit a trip to indicate it was business is OK unless you forget to click done, then it disappears, never to be found. Worse yet it eats the battery even if stationary with app not "open". Worse than useless.

Need some tweaking to really make this app a must have.... This is not a must have app yet - this is more of "there is potential here." Don't get me wrong it does work but it needs some tweaking and is not able to hook into either Apple maps or google maps to search by place name so you have to input the address. Bottom line is I like it and use it... But if it goes where it could and should, I will LOVE it!

Use to keep track of work miles. My employer reimburses us for mileage we put on our personal vehicle for work related purposes. I was looking for a better way to keep track of those miles than on a multitude of little pieces of paper, this app turned into just the thing. In fact, it worked so well for my work mileage & I figured out how to use it for charity mileage I now use the app for that purpose. I am looking forward to an easier time when doing my taxes next year.

Can be a cumbersome but dev team is responsive.. The Good: Lays out your trips in separate little maps. Very cool at-a-glance info. Gripes: Free trial period then you have to pay. Opens to the uncategorized page by default. If you categorize your trips, that means the app will open to a blank page, forcing you to make the time-consumingly needless extra step of swiping to the see the All tab. If you want to re-categorize, you can't swipe. That would be too convenient for end users, who the dev team wants to remind who's boss instead of making an organic intuitive-feeling interface. Once you get to your maps, they're great. Leaning towards Everlance.

Works great. Use it everyday to keep track of personal vs business mileage. I had a question and their support person answered quickly! Looking forward to the Apple Watch app.

Beware. App worked for a few months then today deleted all my trips and won’t stay open. App crashes repeatedly. Absolutely DO NOT recommend this app.

Great App. I have tried many apps for tracking Milage for my consulting business and to satisfy my accountant. This app is absolutely the best I have found. I have used it for a month and just bought the year subscription because it is that good. You must pay a reasonable price to use the report function and be able to send your trip info to your computer but well worth it and less expensive than other apps I have tried. Also you can leave it turned on and running in the background without running down the battery and turn it off when riding in another car such as a rental. When you are driving in the car, plug it in because it will use battery due to GPS. And if in another car just switch it off or delete that trip after you finish it. And did I say customer support is Fantastic!!! All trips are stored so no need to worry about losing your phone. Easy to use. You just have to remember to take your phone when you drive your car! If you need to track your Milage for accounting purposes this is the app for you!

Auto-detect mph is too low. The developer of VehiCal stopped updates, so I've been trying MileWiz for the past two months. The GPS auto tracking of distance is convenient BUT as stated, it quickly depletes the battery. Another problem is their speed setting for detecting/assuming driving is way too low. I think I read somewhere that the setting is 3 mph. Well, after the first time I drove with the app on, I found several earlier enteries. ??? I walk much faster than 3 mph, which the dates of those earlier entries correspond to locations of my walks. So, SilverWiz LLC, please consider allowing the user to set the speed for when the app should consider as driving mode AND adding the Location Services option "While using the app" instead of just Never and Always. (Note: with the app Always on, it probably tracks runners and bikers mileage too as they travel faster than 3 mph.) For now, I have to turn the app off after driving and then remember to turn it on before driving. Might as well go back to manual entries...

Great help!. Started to develop a similar service 30 years ago. But technology was not there - but the need. The need is the same and now we have this ap. Finally!

Almost Perfect. Sometimes it doesn't start recording your trip until a few miles into it. This will make it impossible to combine it with other trips because the start and and points don't match. Other than that, and it doesn't happen all the time, it's almost perfect.

Life saver!. This app has been a great addition for tools for my business. I am terrible at writing down my mileage, but this does it all for me. I can separate the different cars I drive as well as the different categories. I would add that you need to be able to plug it because like all travel apps it uses up battery. So worth it. I don't travel every day so the 20 free trips is plenty for me.

Never misses a trip.. I love the convenience of not having to write down mileage every time I get in the car. I just go and know I have a record and a running amount total. What a time saver. Thank you.

Contractor. I love this app cause it keeps track of my mileage that I use in my car for work. I drive a lot for my work. Without this app I would forget to write the mileage down and the fact that I can use the miles as a write off on my taxes. Thank you.

Not tracking consistently. The app was tracking my trips well at first but now only picks up about 1/3 of my driving trips and this is after I paid the $40 for the year. I have restarted the app and restarted my phone and it has not fixed the problem. Please fix and update the app especially since it's not cheap.

This app always has issues. From the time it quit reading my automatic payment and wouldn’t let me use it to this latest issue of just not tracking my miles at all. I would guess this app has cost me hundreds of dollars. This week I’ve driven over 600 miles that it didn’t register at all. On both of these occasions I haven’t realized until days later that it isn’t working. As someone who’s very busy I just don’t have time to get on here everyday and make sure it works. I’m looking for a better mile tracking app.

Much better than mileiq. Love this app! I was using a different app- this is much better - I do a lot of short stops, so being able to add a trip is awesome! This app responds much faster! So far so good!

Lost $1,000 in mileage using this app. Signed up a year ago and the app did what it said, then the auto renew did not auto renew and I lost an entire month of mileage. There’s a lot of mileage trackers available but don’t pay these guys for theirs, I won’t be using this one anymore, I need my miles as part of my income, no way would I ever again use this app.

Better Than Most. Although this was not my first choice as best mileage tracking app, it's only second to an app that costs $3.99 a month. Overall, very pleased with the features, design, and usability. Love how it shows the route right in the box, the ability to label address, and also the ability to change the rate of categories.

I give up. Keeping track of mileage is serious business for self-employed folks confronting Schedule C & related IRS business forms yearly. This thing crashes more frequently than not on my iPhone 6+, while similar (allegedly automated) apps invariably cause spontaneous reboots. I finally gave up, researched, & purchased the 2d generation Automatic Smart Assistant dongle, which plugs into your (post-1996) car's OBD-2 port. No hassle installation & setup. Has an IFTTT channel, which yields tech info heaven per your precise desires. Grabbed the related free app here. Problem solved-- beautifully, efficiently & reliably.

Love! Love! Love!. This app is amazing! So easy to use. Just spent two weeks on the road and had no issues with it working or being able to merge the trip together. Would recommend this to anyone who needs to track mileage. You won't forget to track anything unless you forget you phone!

Making me money. I was do a terrible job tracking miles before. I realize now I was under reporting, costing me money. Love the ability to merge multiple stops too. Great app!!

I love it!. Great app, awesome for taxes. The only issue I have is that you have to add places and addresses manually for places you frequently drive. It should connect to your contacts or pull up addresses by name from the web. It would save a ton of time with that feature. Otherwise, great app!

Cannot get custom reports. Hello I am trying to generate a custom report for January 2020 thru December 2020. It only let's me choose today's date for the custom date range. Please help or fix.

Great App but…... I trailed this App for 5 days, nice layout and it worked as promised even though I am in Australia. Needs some tweaks like: It didn’t seem to combine trips properly - it wouldn’t add the mileage together. Also it would be great if it could auto fill/suggest the Description section based on past descriptions I have entered. The big issue with this app is that it is heavy on battery usage, and I mean heavy to the point I can’t use it.

The battery drainer that won't die. MileWiz was one of a bunch of similar apps I tested. It looked okay, but in the end, I decided on a different app. But MileWiz wouldn't quietly go away—it kept posting notifications saying it had been disabled for a week and asking if I 'want to start saving on [my] mileage'. I also noticed it still using up a lot of my battery, so I swiped it off the screen thinking that would surely kill it. Many days later, with my battery draining faster than expected, I look in 'Settings > Battery' to see who the worst offenders are, and there at the top of the list is MileWiz at 36% (still monitoring my 'Background Location'). Second is the Phone app at 21%, and third is the other driving log book app—the one I actually used today for two trips—at only 11%. (MileWiz tops the list for the last 7 days too.) Now here's the crazy thing… I just opened up the app, and down the bottom left of the hamburger menu, it says 'Tracking is disabled'. What is this new devilry—the location tracking that won't die?! The answer seems apparent when you go into Settings > Milewiz. Location is set to 'Always' (the only other option is 'Never') and Background App Refresh is turned on, and greyed out so you can't turn it off. (My other logbook app has Location set to 'Always' too, but it uses much less battery.) I'm about to permanently delete MileWiz off my phone. Let's see if it still manages to drain my battery after that!

Best automatic logbook. The easiest and most effective way to keep an automatic logbook. I did try all the similar app I found in the store and this is the one that works better. I've been using it for 7 months!!

Must have for work on the road. Great app, really useful. Would have given 5 stars but occasionally the auto GPS mapping does some weird stuff. This app has become an integral part of tracking my work trips for tax. Well worth the money.

More effort than it's worth.. I really wanted to like this app because it has a lot going for it but I've ended up having to spend more time fixing the issues it causes than if I'd just used a paper log. I have had the GPS track really badly to the point where it was made up entirely fictional journeys where I hadn't even left the house that day. I'd also had trips that registered routes I didn't take, trips that stopped halfway through the trip and restarted many kilometres later and trips where the distance count was over 50km more than the actual distance travelled. Recently, I went to check my cars odometer reading on the app to see how accurate it was and it read 1354498048. My car only has 20,000 kms on it. :/ Not a good start for an app whose sole purpose is to log mileage. I've also had the app invent imaginary vehicles and begin tracking all my miles against those, so I've had to go back and edit every entry to fix them. I've had the app attribute the trips to the wrong driver so again I've had to go back and edit every entry to make sure the right driver was attached to the right trip. I'm just expending more effort fixing problems that are created by the app than its worth. Using a paper log would be more reliable and less work. The attraction of this app is that it's supposed to be "set and forget" but it's very far from this and if you need to reliably track your journeys this is not the app you are looking for.

So far, OK. I had a challenge with the app missing part of a days driving. I tried to add it in... Without success. Otherwise, other trips seem to be getting picked up. (Almost a weeks worth of driving). If continues to work, without missing any more parts of my driving day, then I will stop using a log book & upgrade to use the app full time. Fingers crossed!

Poor reading of your trips. Really poor reading of your trips. Either records the whole as short trip you need to group together or only record part of it. Provide feedback and was give a suggestion to group them. Should need to do this.

Excellent. Seems to do a great job with mileage but works spectacularly for keeping track of client and site visits.

Unreliable. I downloaded this app with the promise of it being automatic. It didn't live up. I was almost ready to pay the outrageous in app purchases. But it failed to log 4 trips. So I'll stick to manual apps. Mileage Log is great. This app is for suckers.

Stopped working since iOS update earlier in 2023.. The developer stated they will make it compatible; to no avail. I tried to seek a refund, which is not possible. So, it works on 2022 iOS.

Best vehicle log for Canadian drivers. I've tried quite a few vehicle log apps for my two vehicles driven for both business and pleasure by both my wife and I. I can tell you now, there's nothing like MileWiz that can track all of our various purpose trips automatically and seamlessly in both Canadian and U.S. measurements. It's the best!

Frustrating all of a sudden. I’ve been using this app for two years it was great up until recently. It is extremely difficult to get a hold of the developers for any kind of support. It keeps telling me that I’m out of free trips when I’ve been faithfully paying every month. It stopped tracking monetary amounts a year ago. I did manage to get somebody on the phone then they told me it would reset. It did not, know I can’t find a phone number. Also doesn’t track accurately any longer, super disappointed. The developer doesn’t seem to care any longer.

My review. Great app, if it does what it says. Sometimes doesn't follow commands to use only for a day, sometimes works perfectly. Needs to be more consistent especially as a go to for tax purposes

I'm. I tried a few different mileage trackers and found this to be one of the more user-friendly and at better value. I bought the subscription as it makes the app more versatile.

Bought subscription but I DO NOT like it!. It tracks when I’m walking, or a passenger or on transit. It’s increasing my mileage amount which will change the ratio of business to personal (actual driving). Not meant for someone who doesn’t just drive. Wish I could get my money back

You wrecked it. Not sure what you did to this app, but it’s terrible. It constantly tells me, “You havent used wilewiz in a week.” Just now it told me it was terminated, whatever that means! And it keeps missing trips or recording a trip while I’m still driving. I’ll be getting something else though because this is dumb.

Fantastic App. Would recommended this to anyone needing to track kilometres for business purposes. You will have to pay to allow for enough logs in a month but it is well worth it

Drains battery. I like the concept. The way you choose business or personal with a swipe is smart. I find my battery drains faster since I installed this app.

Easy and effective. It works really well. I don't even have to think about it. My vehicular travel is automatically tracked and all I need to do is state whether it is a "business" or "personal" trip.

Very easy. I have been using the app for 1 mth and it has been awesome. It is so easy to keep track of miles especially since I can't remember to use a log book . The reminders are going to be a life saver.

MileWiz is a great, easy to use app.. Very happy with it. Very easy to do data input after trips. Can be done any time and not just after you've driven, for me that's a big bonus. Worth the price. Only negative issue is the printable version of the reports come out in prints that's either tiny or that takes 30 pages.

Good app for tracking mileage. I have been using this app for several years. The app does what I want seamlessly, no need to start and stop, it tracks trips in the background. Add business locations and they get categorized as business trips automatically. Don’t need it to do more, it does the one thing I want and does it well.

Works great. Occasionally tracks a route between two points that I didn't take. Occasionally the odometer gets out of sync. But it tracks every trip.

Haven't been able to open app in 3 months. Keeps crashing, after attempting to open app. I really hope it's still on and keeping track of my mileage for my business. Otherwise I'm screwed. Bought the year long subscription. Probably gonna switch to a better, more accessible and less glitchy app next year. I've got the iPhone 7 so I know it's not cause I've got an old phone. Used to love it 3 months ago.

New to the App. I believe it will be very beneficial to tracking my 2015 mileage, so I will not have to hand write each entry for tax purposes.

Crap. Since the last bug fix seems to go from working to not working. Does great for a week, the gets nothing bugs for days. Do not subscribe unless you are getting 100% accuracy from your free 20

Good app for easy tracking. This app tracks your driving via gps, and allows the owner to classify the drive. It also allows the owner to export the data to excel for summary.

Great app but stops tracking. I bought the yearly subscription and after two months it stopped tracking me. It did not recognize my purchase and it took me forever to find a valid email address to get it re-established.

Charging me, but not tracking miles. I was just charged again this weekend for the app subscription, but the app hasn’t been tracking my miles for weeks. What am I paying you for if your dumb app won’t do what it’s supposed to do. It says I’m out of free miles, but I’m paying you....

Very useful app. It is very easy to use. It made my year end reporting very easy.

So far so good. First test run and miles were recorded accurately. The setup was easy. My only gripe is the $5.00 per month charge........... Slap a few adds on the app and let it be free.

Mileage App. This is the best so I have used to track mileage.

I use it for real estate. The only thing I don't like is that it's a little slow. Other than that, it's worth it for the peace of mind so that I can check, "Mileage is recorded in writing" on my tax return :)

Love it. So far so good the app acted up with me at first but they fixed that bug for me. And now I can go on with tracking my miles with no problem.

Needs update!. This app is great and very functional. However, after you log about 5,000 miles it begins to crash frequently. This needs to be fixed. Otherwise I'll HAVE to use something else. Please fix.

Battery Life Killer. I was evaluating this app for use to track mileage and just working for a few minutes on setup and a few test transactions drained 10% of my battery life in about 12 minutes. Unacceptable. On to another...

MileWiz. Excellent application for tracking trips, categorizing them and calculating costs for tax purposes. You will have all the details and reports needed to justify your expenses to the IRS.

Miles ahead of other apps. Easier to use and very accurate. An excellent asset for anyone who has to keep track of your mileage for taxes.

Crashes when merging trips. This seems like a great idea well implemented, but the app is crashing every time I try to merge trips. I've also seen it turn a 20-mile trip into a 90-mile one, and attempting to view the details of the trip crashed the app. So there's some bugs to be quashed before I can trust it with business records.

Tam. This is a great tool for me , I drive a lot and I need to keep track of my mileage this is the best so far.

Ehhhh. It's a pretty good app but I wish it was free just like it was advised. After a certain amount of trips, you need to start paying.... 😔

Good Start. The app is well designed but buggy. I've used it only for a handful of trips so far, but I already have a trip logged that is wrong. Hopefully this is a simple bug that can be fixed quickly. The app also crashed once so far.

Works better than other mileage trackers. Only 4 stars, because it has missed some of my routes and says some routes can't be merged when the route I'm trying to merge is in the same area

Makes my life better!. It's everything I need in a mileage app except that it's not easy to make manual entries (it's set up for automatic tracking) because they don't use the odomiter, they use places

Helps remind me of business miles. Good reminder with good integration to iwatch and spreadsheets. Uses A LOT of phone battery.

So easy!. Great app! So glad I did it. Makes a required job easy. Should have done it a long time ago. Edit: have noted legs of some trips are not being tracked in newer versions. Hope this can be fixed.
