Translate photo weird changes doesn’t work. Don’t understand changes. Difficult. No directions. Only translates two sentences

It’s ok, could honestly be better. It’s a pretty good app. But there are still problems. It only translated something right one time then it stopped working. I was trying to translate a Japanese song that just premiered on YT but the English subtitles aren’t out yet. The second and third try didn’t work so then I had no more tries left since we can only do 3 a day.

Total garbage. Didn’t even let me try it before requiring a 3 day trial then only offered me 3 translations before requiring premium. The worst is all 3 attempts didn’t work and I was met with “The translation was not done please try again” with no useful information yet my attempt counter still decremented. I’ll go somewhere else, thanks.

Love the app. Wish it could work offline.

Over priced. Tried it out. You are allowed only three attempts before it demands payment. Figured it out on the third try. It translated the business card correctly but I’ll be looking for something better.

Forget using it on simple Chinese. I tried several times on a 16 pt 1 character label and other more complicated labels, every scan was unrecognized. I tried premium figuring I needed more practice, but in the end no amount of effort could read any Chinese label. Sorry, it is a great idea, if it worked. Maybe it will improve with age. Also, beware their privacy policy is pretty broad, maybe worth it for the function, but now do I delete or wait, as it says they can use the data even when not using the app? Geotagging every menu I try this on and selling the data, might be someone’s idea of fun, but not mine unfortunately.

Korean to English near-flawless translation. Cant exactly type Hangul into my phone, and my entire family except me is fluent in Korean. This app has been a godsend. Letters I’m mailed? Snap a photo. Boom. Instant translation. Snacks I’m sent? Another photo! Perfect translation right down to the ingredient list and fine print.

Honest opinion. It should have more instructions on how to plug in a different language to translate to further understand the transcription of words turn to other words

What’s the point of being marked “free”?. I was hoping to translate some Russian text to English. Apparently I need to pay money to translate from any other language besides English? So... I’m translating English. To English. That doesn’t even make sense, and there is no point. If you want to take money at least mark the app as having to pay. I downloaded it for absolutely no reason.

Amazing app. Great for work, and if you plan on going on a vacation overseas— I’d definitely recommend buying the premium version which is incredibly affordable for the service it provides. Still, the free version that comes with 3 translations every single day is super clutch! Love y’all

This app is garbage. If I could give it less than a star I would. I tried so many times to translate Japanese to English but it wouldn’t scan the words at all. It’d give me a loading screen then tell me it couldn’t do it no matter what I tried. Then on top of that since I had the free version I could only scan 3 times so when they were giving me errors it was also taking away the times I could scan a picture in. This app needs some serious work if it ever wants to be good because as far as I see it this app is trash.

I was intimidated even try speaking Cantonese.. Does all the home to suites offers and delivers I’m delighted, and she is charmed. This app is actually help me foster a romance it would never be without it. That sounds large? It is! I would recommend you try, and see where this may take you.

Beat app for copying words. If u want app to copy your document, this is the one. But it not good that good for translate. However I guess copying is enough.

Greed at it finest. The app used to be COMPLETELY free with no daily limitations but now you can’t even translate a screen shot anymore without them trying to take your money ON TOP of the ads they STILL force down your throat. Do not download. It’s not even accurate enough for them to charge many money at all.

Works well. I was really impressed! however it did not automatically adjust what language it was when in the translation window. I had to manually set it. Can you fix this?

Just put the old ap back!. When this app had the red icon it worked great and I used it almost every day now I feel like I was ripped off by purchasing the year subscription. It does not work for japanese language at all any more... I am so disappointed and I don’t know why they have not fixed this in over a year! #donotrecomend

Trash app.. Ask for money before even letting you see how or if it works as advertised. Updated review after a response from dev. They say just close the ad. The ad that has no visible close indication. Save yourself trouble and get google translate. It is fast free and has no freeimium like this ad. sorry app.

Don’t mind the ratings. Don’t mind what the score is it’s a great app. People are just upset that they can’t translate the same type of language. For example you might be in Mexico and want to use the app but it uses the most basic form of the language instead of all of the 22 countries form of Spanish.

Why does it need location?. You can’t use the app unless you allow it access to your location data. There’s not even a way to decline. Why would that be necessary for this app??? To avoid yet another infringement on my privacy, I deleted it without even getting to use it

Not worth downloading. I tried translating something but I had to take the right shot and after three scan it said that I had to buy premium to have 5 more scans. It would have been better if you couldn’t run out of scans. Disappointed.

It didn’t translate anything. Hi, I used this app to translate a photo in Japanese to English and when i pressed the button for it to translate, it said some nonsense about “SS” or something and it didn’t translate anything! I don’t know if it was my mistake or the apps mistake but it was a waste of my time.

Doesn't work. 5 years ago this was my go to travel translation app, but now that it's been "updated" it doesn't work at all. It recognizes characters but gives no translation. This is why I avoid updating software that already works.

Got the job done. I never write good reviews but this app helped me find a song, I can’t give it a full 5 stars because it does have important and main features locked behind a paywall (limited translation scans? Really?) but other than that pretty good

Not very useful. I think you need to pay after 3 uses. And even then, a photo will be in spanish and it says no spanish detected. It’d also be easier to read if the translation overlapped the photo.

Wants location and mirco-transactions. First thing asked when opening the app is location service to find where you are for your language. Doesn’t need that give a wall of text with each language’ name shown as the respective language . 2 ask for payment up front with no clear way to close the offer.( not even the camouflage X)

Greek is not a problem. I have a document in Greek that I needed to translate. This app was 100% accurate and took seconds to get the translation. Highly recommend.

This app is useless. So. I tried using the camera translate thing. all it would do was say “Error”’Error” error” Whenever I took a pic. I really don’t like it and it’s totally useless. I wouldn’t recommend it AT ALL. Needs tons of work. And can’t scan simple words. Total useless garbage that I wasted my time with. A disappointment.

Translations Wrong. This app doesn't translate Japanese good just so all the manga readers now. The app is also pushy when it comes to getting premium. And the ads won't go away. I don't recommend this to anyone looking for CORRECT translations. Developer, if you read this, please fix this app so it actually works well. I can tell the app has potential, just needs to be fixed and I can see it working well. But still, the translations wrong.

Works Well Translating Info On Korean Beauty Products!. I have a bunch of Korean beauty products that usually don’t have any English directions or descriptions on them. This app works even on awkward packages!! Good work developers :)

Hate it. Hello! So I got this app about a week ago and it just hasn’t worked. Like you can’t touch the screen or even exist off the app without waiting. It causes my phone to freeze. (iPhone 5s newest iOS). It overall looked like a legit I work app but sadly it doesn’t work. It isn’t worth getting in my opinion. Anyways take your chances with it, maybe you can get it to work. I hate publishing bad reviews but it happens. Don’t want others to make the same mistake I did. I’m deleting it, simple as that.

Charges Me But Doesn’t Give Me Scans. This app was good in the beginning. I got tired of waiting for more scans so I paid a month by month subscription. However, the app would still tell me I’m out of scans even though I’m paying for unlimited scans. Very frustrating.

Honestly, not a fan.. I had been trying to translate one text, but it would give me nonsense. It would translate to completely different pieces of gibberish every time.

Doesn’t work?. I tried three times to translate two lines of text and it didn’t work, now I need to wait for it to “regenerate” before I can try again. The app straight up does not work on documents.

Doesn’t seem to work. Took picture but nothing happened other than to capture image. Pushed another button and it said processing image then showed the image in original language and noted image saved.

Cost money (40 dollars-60 dollars +). If you want to use the image translator or any other passes, it’s very expensive for a month and not even worth your time. It also seems like an app trying to get your information.

Doesn’t work. I was trying to translate something in a different language. It gave me a wierd translation so I tried again, and it gave me something completely different. I also tried putting the text upside down, and it still recognized the text as a wierd translation. Don’t download this app, don’t use this app, and definitely don’t spend a penny on this app.

Living in Spain and I don’t speak Spanish. This is a miracle app. Without it I would be signing contracts without knowing what’s in them... great for package ingredients for grocery products. Wonderful.

Hopeless. Hasn't translated my photo. My photo is clear script and easily readable but it hasn't given me any translation. All I'm getting is ads scrolling across my screen.

Translates perfectly!. This app reads the symbols in the pictures perfectly. Used this in Japan constantly, made travelling a whole lot easier

It’s pay to use. I never had an app that was this stupid, honestly after 3 or 4 scans it wants me to buy premium to actually start scanning again or making you wait, and not a shot wait believe me. If you want something everyone will like using maybe don’t make everything money smh

Not recommended. It did not translate anything. It literally just "translated" the English words and numbers. Like I couldn't see that? It's not as though the writing were in cursive, it was typed.

Pretty good. This app has much better character recognition than the Google one. Even tested with different hand writings it was usually accurate. Downside is the translations could use work. I had to copy the text and paste it into an online translator to get a sentence that made sense.

Completely incorrect translations. Tried using it for Japanese to English and the translations were so bad that it didn’t even translate into English it was just gibberish and I scanned the same text twice and both times it had completely different translations.

Excellent translate. Just snap and this app will translate into the language you can understand with minor sentences structure incorrect. But in general it's a very good app to have when need to translate foreign languages.

Not very useful but hilarious. I downloaded this app to read instructions off a Japanese product. It was easy to use but the translating was all wrong. Though the outcomes were quite hilarious. It translated "When your finished, you can deliciously eat it" to "If you can, deliciously eat a person". It did give me a small idea on what the instructions said, but overall not reccomended for serious situations.

Worst translator ever. This is the first time using a photo translator. It gives you 3 photos to translate the you have to pay. It didn’t get half the translations correct. Complete bs

Amazing!. I use this to translate traditional Chinese on the computer. It's impossible to see all of the strokes sometimes to even try to find the definition, but this app easily finds it! It's amazing. I rely on it to much.

Works well. Translation software still has a long way to go but to translate from a photo of a document is an even bigger challenge but this works pretty well.

Useless, greedy app developers. Forget it being useful in the slightest. You get three scans before they make you pay. What’s even the point? FYI, telling people the app is “free” when they complain about the price is not a solution. Getting three scans, even if per day, is not “free” it’s the worlds shortest trial and a sham.

Does not work, no way to request refund!. 1. App does not work. 2. App support is only in Facebook. I don’t have Facebook, never have, never will. 3. No way to request a refund. One star 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 The app is bogus. It charged me $5.99, automatically signed me up for the recurring subscription charges and offered no way to test it. Don’t even try it on Japanese. It was only able to translate a single letter, “d”. What?!! If I could give negative stars, I would. Refund button please.

Dont get. I had many different asian languages i was trying to translate but it wouldnt read it. If i did any other language it read it and translated it. A lot of the time the translation was wrong! So basically it doesnt read asian languages and is horrible at translating.

Does not translate well. Another failed translation app. I been going through multiple ones to find an app that can translate Vietnamese article to English or English to Vietnamese. Translating one word is ok. If it's a story or long sentence, then it starts to not make sense.
