Great App, Needs Few Improvements. If you’re looking at this app versus other apps on the iPhone. Just go ahead and pick this one. You can track many of the different elements of your game and the map interface is exactly what you need. The thing that I wish it had was the ability to see par when reviewing your previous games. When you go back to a previous game and you look at an individual hole, you can’t see what par was for the hole you’re viewing. You can tap the score to view par, but then it deselects your previous score and if you weren’t paying attention, you’ll lose what you had marked there. A suggestion to the developers would be to add a lock feature to the scorecard so you can browse previous game scores without fear or changing them. Besides that little detail, this thing is great! Perhaps a calculation of the handicap for the individual courses would be helpful. Okay, I’m done. Great app. Enjoy and download this app!

First experience. So I reviewed 4 other similar apps and was interested in the one that would best work on an Apple Watch. My intent was to start the round on my phone and let it work on the Apple Watch from start to finish. After watching user video and signing up for the premium service I’m an disappointed to report it did not work as advertised. I downloaded the app, confirmed it was available on my Apple Watch and even tried a dry run before my round. Then when I started my round to learn that there was zero gps updates during my round on my Apple Watch or on my phone. The only thing that worked was that the app recognized the course I played but never the yards to the green. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The social golf app experience. Used this app as the free version for about a year. I upgraded to the pro when I started taking golf seriously this year. After trying multiple apps I have to say this is my favorite. Pros: - Updates real time yardage very well - Apple watch is an excellent feature - Playing with friends is by far the best things about this app - Tournaments with friends is an amazing feature - Adding the new 3D green reader id something I haven't quite gotten used to yet, but with a few sessions Im sure Ill get used to it! - The course layouts on the maps are spot on! - The pro features are great for golfers trying to see more data on the course * Theres so many features its hard to narrow down my favorites Cons: - At every round I play I always turn on the ‘battery saving’ feature because otherwise my phone wont make it through 18 holes. I see no difference in the real time updates aside from a couple of second latency delay, no big deal though. Features I’d Like to See: After each hole you can input stats for number of shots, shot stats and etc. I’d really like to be able to add notes to the end of that. At the moment theres a notepad for the round, but I hardly use it because it’s “out of the way”. Moving it to the hole-tracker stats would be a HUGE update!!

Great app but….. This app is so close to being the best golf companion you can have. Easy to use but it seems over the last year or so the developers stopped improving the app. So many of the features are just so dead like booking tee times, betting, group play, etc. Little customization things like not having a dark mode or not allowing you to link your logical USGA Handicap is also holding this app back. Interface feels very 2020, and it needs a refresh with focus on getting the full potential out of the app. I’ll use it over The Grint and other similar apps during my rounds, but will keep going to the others to enter my score officially. This app could be amazing, but just needs a little more focus. LETS GO DEVELOPERS.

It’s good.... update okay. The last major update really made me stop using the app. They are correcting some things. But the one thing they have not corrected yet is scoring simplified. It use to be you enter your score and other players scores popped up immediately to finish your card. Now you have to close yours, swipe up, find the player, find the icon, and then put their score in for each person. All this in the sun clearing screen on a golf course where electronics really should be in the background, not dealing with it all the way to the next hole. To be honest I haven’t used the app since the first tome I tried it on the course and couldn’t stand how long it took to enter in everyone’s score. I try it again every update to see if it’s fixed at home. But it’s still not and that is disappointing. So many good things, but this problem really overshadows them for me.

an amazing free golf app, room for improvement. Like many, I have a group of golf buddies I play with. Many started off with using other golf apps, but I convinced them all to switch to 18Birdies. Why? It has a friendly interface, its GPS tracking is ACCURATE (I double check it with a Golf Rangefinder and they both agree on the distance /- 3 yards), it has every golf course imaginable (even the random small municipal course in your town), and it's a great way to keep track of your progress through all of your rounds (tells you your up to date handicap!). My only complaint is that it always shows your score (how many above par) as you play. In order for me to give a full 5 star rating, 18Birdies needs a setting to turn this off. Golf is as much a mental game as it is a technical/physical game. If I can have a setting to turn off the real-time score keeping (like how it is when you have a handwritten score card), then 18Birdies will be the GOAT of golf apps. For now, it's amazing but room for improvement. I hope to see this change very soon for this season. PLEASE!

Pretty nice app but.... The app is good and I love the social network feel of it as well as a course management tool but...seems like the club database is severely lacking. The 2018 Callaway offerings have been out for sometime yet they’re not showing up in the database. Other company’s 2018 models are available but not these. Wouldn’t be a big deal but I can’t load clubs in without them being in the database which means I can’t use the shot tracking function to each specific iron without it. It’s a small issue but keeps it from 5 stars in my book. My rating is really a 4.99. Edit: great developer support. This was fixed in less than a couple days.

Like Untapped for Golf. Much like other oxygen-breathing humans, I enjoy beer a great deal. I was introduced to an app that incentivizes trying out new beers and rating them. It’s a social beer drinking app. I started trying all new kinds of beers, recording them in Untapped app; and I became something of a connoisseur. Now, that I’ve been introduced to 18Birdies, which is a social golfing app, I’ve found I not only enjoy golf much more; but I am eager to try new courses and play more often. The features are a huge plus. I used to carry a rangefinder, but that is now obsolete. Pencil and paper to keep score? Might as well have an abacus compared to the Scorecard feature. The data and record-keeping makes me sound way more intelligent while I’m sipping the latest craft brew on the 19th hole. A modification that I recommend is having the option to record scores for buddies who have dumb-phones. I tried to figure out how to add someone who wasn’t on 18Birdies and I couldn’t figure it out.

Expensive but worth it. Although there are many features you can use for free, the premium version of the app is where it truly shines. If you take the time (which admittedly can be a hassle while playing a round of golf) you can really track some interesting stats about your golf game. I also find that the yardages are quite accurate in my experience which can help any golfer not able to spend the money for a quality range finder. Overall very solid app, if the premium was a little cheaper that would make it much more accessible for beginner golfers or golfers that don’t have a ton of money to spend for the premium features.

Good but could be a whole lot better. The major problem with the app is when using the Apple Watch. Yardages are not consistent. Example; I could be standing on a par 3 tee box and look for yardage say 140 yds. The next time I raise my wrist it displays 709 yds. And it doesn’t change til I move 10-20 yds away. These yardage discrepancies could happen anywhere and almost always every time that I use the watch a 2nd 3rd 4th time. As I stated this is only with the Apple Watch. When I use the phone yardage is always correct. This is quite annoying and does nothing to speed up play. I am currently in touch with someone from support and watch is configured as the app directs. I have deleted and reinstalled the app on both the watch and iPhone and has not improved and phone and watch os are up to date. The other thing is with support he claims that I am not responding to his emails, which I am, so there is delays in him responding to my questions. I don’t know whether there is a problem with your email system. I will follow up with another review when and If they can get it working.

Horrible customer service. If you just want a free gps service go ahead and use this app. Don’t ever use this app to book a tee time!!!!! Did it once and never again. They make you pay for the tee time at booking and if there are any problems you will get no refund unless you cancel before 24 hours before tee off. So if you are like me that looks for times at night for the next morning you are never able to cancel or change your tee time. I found this out the hard way and payed for 4 when only 2 played because I had 2 guys drop out last minute which happens to us all. Life happens! When I contacted them all I got was an automatic response stating cancellation policy. When I responded for more info all I got was crickets. Been more than 24 hours since last email and no response. They don’t care about anything but your money.

Golf bucks change. Great app for use on every course I have played so far. GPS is usually very accurate and helps with club selection. One thing they changed though is how many golf bucks (currency used in app to enter contests) you get per round played. You use these golf bucks to get scratch cards for 5 per scratch. You used to get 40-50 per round depending on if you played with another 18Birdies user. And another 10 for sharing your round. Now you get five for finishing a round and one to share your round while the scratch cards are still five per ticket. There are options to share your shots or share your score per hole for five GB each but I don’t understand why that gives you more than playing a full round. I get the social aspect they are pushing but that is going the wrong way with it. I don’t understand that change and had to write a review since they respond to each one it seems like. Just looking for clarification on the golf bucks change. It used to be my favorite part of the app and kept me coming back to it but now with that change, golf bucks seem pointless now

App Heading in the Wrong Direction. I have been using this app for about a year and used a premium membership for a few months as well. As far as golf scoring apps go, this is one of the best. However, one of the main things that differentiated this app from others was the DreamGames features. DreamGames allows you to spend GolfBucks (earned by playing rounds and sharing items in the news feed) for entries in prize drawings. I have won a towel, a hat, a box of golf balls, and even a $150 gift card. This is what kept me coming back to the app each day. Unfortunately, they recently made a change to the way golf bucks are earned by significantly reducing the payouts for various activities. For example, sharing a golf round used to pay a total of 50 golf bucks and now it only pays 5. I expect the reason they did this is because people exploited the previous system to accrue thousands of golf bucks. I feel like the developers are really missing the point on this one, as there are many users like myself that will stop using this app if things continue down this road. The scoring features are good, but they really aren’t better than the other apps out there. If 18Birdies can’t get control of Golf Bucks distribution they will lose much of their user base

5 STARS W/ CRITICISM. Lovely app, I prefer it’s interface over all the other Golf GPS apps by far - one thing I would like to see in addition is the option to list wether you hit the ball short or long, we have right and left options, but would be beneficial to have the statistics on wether you left it short of the green, etc. Furthermore in terms of greens, the option of selecting where on the green you landed maybe a valuable option also. I feel both of those could be added relatively simply, but understand there are details in programming that the layman may not understand.

Great golf app. I started using this when it was a little more lightweight. I liked it most because its Apple Watch integration was free unlike some other apps. I loved using the watch to quickly track my drives and easily check yardage. However, in the last week, I played twice and it wasn’t syncing. It synced some of my scores logged from the watch but it never showed my yardage within the watch. I restarted both apps from phone and watch and uninstalled the watch app but no luck. It was a major disappointment today. I tried syncing from the iPhone app and it said it was successful… but no change.

Won’t sync to Apple Watch. I’ve been using this app for a couple years now and loved it. However as of about a week or so ago the app wit not sync to my Apple Watch. I don’t know if this is a problem with Apple or the app but it is very frustrating that I can’t get it on my watch anymore! And with it not syncing to my watch it drains my battery on my phone very quickly! If it’s a problem with the app I hope they get it fixed quickly if not we’ll see what Apple does! Update to my review, it was not a problem with the app but a problem with my watch. I got in touch with Apple and we got my problem resolved so since the problem has been rectified I will update my rating to five stars

Needs more shot shape options. Great app. But they only let you choose fade, draw, and straight as your shot shape. They should also allow you to choose pull, push, hook, slice, and select multiple at the same time (straight push, pull slice, etc). Accidentally hooking and slicing is a huge part of the game for high handicappers, and so are pushes and pulls. This would really help add better data on our mistakes. Also there should be an option when you select a shot shape, etc, to “hide this shot from club distance data”. So I can still save my bad/shank shots without them skewing my club range number as outliers. The option to save a shot as a “solid shot” is ok but why not give us the option to add “shank” as well? And what exactly is defined as a solid shot? Some are borderline

Change is good. Hi, For now I can only think of is the visual of your screen ,I think it should be a virtual look,,, as soon as you look at your screens, I think you should easily understand what is going on !!!!!!maybe the size of letters or components for easy seeing!!!!! Also maybe colors to show different items on the screen.. some colors are noticeable more than others ,,, maybe have important things seen a certain color and less important thing’s another color!!!!for noticeability,,, Hi ,,to whom it may concern ,if this helps or you use it in any way ,can you reach out to me for possible compensation,, or proper credit , for my idea,.

Used to be best, Apple Watch apple no longer works. By far an away the best golf app I’ve used for tracking scores and GPS. The nice thing about it was how quickly you could throw your strokes, putts, penalties, etc. via the Apple Watch app. It would seamlessly move to the next hole, have very accurate distances, just the best. But now the Apple Watch app no longer works. I’ve tried all the suggestions the forums and stuff have said, and it still buggers out — I attempt it every week when I play. To me, I want something that is easier than writing a score on the card, and utilizing the watch app was the way to do that. I don’t want to have to pick up my phone to enter in the scores — might as well just write it in. I’ve had to move to a different app so that I can use the Apple Watch. It’s really too bad because I had been using it for years without an issues. This issue should have been resolved as soon as the bug came to light. I’m to the point now where I won’t even check to see if it’s working, and probably won’t look back once I get used to these other apps.

Great App. Been using it for the last 12 rounds (about 4 weeks) and have enjoyed it very much. Keeps great track of my game. In a prior review, I said that the app uses a lot of data to run. That’s still true. But, I found a way to bypass this small issue: keep your score on paper then input it to the app when you get a Wi-Fi signal. Note to Developer: I work in the pro shop at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. Your app shows this as a public course which is incorrect. We are semi-private and only allow resort guests to play when they stay on the property. We don’t allow walk ups. May want to change that in the app.

Stunning interface, abysmal Apple Watch experience. So sad. The app is stunning on the phone. All of the premium features are worth the 99$... but I am obsessed with only using the Apple Watch on the course, and it was a disaster. 2 mains problems. 1. The yardages, omg... the phone is always 3 feet max from the watch. And every other app I’ve test driven on this course had no problem with the yardages. But this one is a nightmare. 130 yard par 3, says 366. I have to pull the phone out of the bag, unlock it, and then MAYBE the yardage matches the phone. Unplayable, unusable. 2. After you record your score and move to record putts, it starts you at the bottom of that page, and you have scroll up to record putts, and then scroll back down to move to next hole... this seems like a temporary bug, or their UX designer is on vacation. Devs, product managers, what would make this app perfect for the Watch. The UI is stunning, UX has some very simple adjustments. This is very easy. Just go play a round with it lol. Please, add layup yardages.. to start, how about just distance to a 100, 125, 150 lay up? Distance to hazards and over hazards would be amazing. Golf Logic does it.. but that’s a big project. I’ll be checking back, this is the best app for the phone.. more or less, but Watch is far far behind. Good luck.

No longer works!!. My playing partner and I both have this app and loved it the last 2 years. However it completely stopped working on our primary for both of this year! When I try to play a new round it recognizes the course I’m at, but it will not progress past the tee selection screen. The first few times I used it this year it somehow kicked in when I was midway through the first hole, and I was able to use it. But now nothing - totally worthless. I can enter a round after I am done, but the primary reason I use it is the GPS feature, which no longer comes up!!

Mostly Great. Pretty easy to use. I use it most on Apple Watch. Very helpful for distances. I’m not too into all the features of it. It can do more than I use it for. One limitation. If you accidentally get ahead of yourself on the hole you’re on you can’t seem to get back to your current hole. Maybe I just haven’t figured that out yet? Of course the hand held range finder provides precise distance to pin and this app is front middle and back of green. Tho for this weekend golfer that’s perfect, and convenience of it bring on my wrist is great… even when a course has GPS on the cart. I like the app over all.

Love the app, especially on my Apple Watch. I’ve been using the free version of this app for about 2 years and I really like it. I tend to use it mostly on my watch unless I can’t connect for some reason and have to use my phone. I love that I can determine the distance of each shot and it’s very accurate with the various distance markers at the courses. I can’t say I love the new watch version however. I really use it to keep score and determine yardage distances. With the new version, it’s a lot harder to just go the basics. I also found that it’s not syncing with my activity rings. When I started using it 2 years ago, I had to manually start my golf activity to record my steps and calories. Then it started to record my activity automatically, even though it didn’t call it golf. My last few rounds, the activity had not been tracked. I tried to find a setting to change it, asked a question on the phone app about it, but still not sure if it’s possible to automatically have it record my activity. I’ve recommend this to all my friends with Apple Watches because I’ve tried a few other apps available and this is still the best!

It WAS good...but now they want $$$. I used to love this app. In fact I turned on so many buddies on to this. It’s so great! Well, it used to be! Apparently, now to create a tournament with my buddies, I need to pay a monthly or yearly subscription??? Really? $5/mo or $50/yr??? What really? Seriously? Look, I’m fine with buying an app, but a subscription model for a cool app that I may use 5-10 times a year? At most? More likely 2-3 for those super fun outings where we actually make a tournament! This is a total fail by 18 Birdies and just goes to show ya that nothing is ever really free. Even when they still give you ads. Here’s a thought 18 Birdies team...give the free account level like 5 tournaments a year. A casual user would be fine with that. If I’m someone that’s playing more tournys than that a year, then it would make sense for me to buy up my subscription level.

Great app! Feature request:. Love tracking my stats, helps me figure out where I need to focus my practice and improve. Like others have said, it’s like having your own caddie with birds-eye GPS helping immensely with shot planning. Can you MAKE all of my friends join? Lol Feature request: when viewing certain stats under “Me”, I would love if I could tap directly on date/round-specific areas of the stat readout and jump directly to that round to see the scorecard and the rest of the stats for that round. As it is right now if I’m looking at say, history of Putts per Hole under stats, under “Me”, and I want to look at the round I played on 5/13, I have to back out and navigate to my round history, remembering the date, and find that entry in round history. Additional feedback: it would be nice to be able to cancel a sent friend request, and/or un-friend someone. Sometimes we fat-finger it and didn’t mean to send a request to a stranger and currently the only solutions are to block them (which seems drastic), or to say “oh well, guess I’m friends with this stranger forever now”.

Almost perfect for Apple Watch users…... I love this app and switched over from Golfshot because the interface is cleaner and easier to use. But…. There are a couple things holding it back from full 5 star greatness and that is the ability to start a tracked shot from the watch. Use both the watch gps and phone gps mixed to save battery because for most things I prefer using the phone but for shot tracking it would be nice to step up to the ball and then start tracking there. Next would be to have an option to start a golf workout with the round automatically so I don’t have to start a golf workout then start a round also. Golf shot does both of these things and it’s the only features I miss over there. Also lately the tee time feature has not been working. Says feature unavailable

New update and watch compatibility. I have used this app for 3 years now. I’ve also suggested it to a lot of people over that time period. I really enjoyed when the watch interface was introduced and really enjoyed how it worked. Unfortunately with the new update there’s been some quirks with the watch functions. I’ve noticed that the distances is now going off of where my phone is located versus where my watch did like it used too. This was one of my favorite features especially playing in Ohio where we’re constantly cart path / 90s only. It’s really useful leaving my phone in the cart and not having to worry about it.

Great app but…. I’ve been using 18 birdies when there wasn’t so many users where I would win lots of their prizes when they had the drawings, too bad they don’t offer that anymore, but anyways.. back to the app, I think it’s still a great app and I like how they are starting to incorporate games with other players in the group, but my one and only biggest issue is the fact that I can’t input other players score into the app on my APPLE WATCH for added convenience, because I’m sure y’all know how hectic it can get sometimes to pull out your phone.. “golf game book” does allow you to input others score through the Apple Watch.. I like keeping my rounds saved with 18 birdies, but it is also great to know where everyone’s at for the round at a glance.. if y’all could add that feature, that would be a great added feature for everyone..

Score not being entered. Hi guys!! First off I want to say I love the app and it’s my main source for keeping my score out on the track. And a doubles as a social media account, but lately I’ve been having issues with entering my score I’m able to input it for each hole throughout my round but at the end of my round I can’t save my round. Please let me know if it’s an issue that is being worked on, or just me? Also just a suggestion but I hope you guys put it in the update, but can you please put a hcp calculator that does all the math for you lol. I’ve played a lot of roads and I would just like to take the doing the math every couple of months to figure out my hcp out of the equation. Lol see what I did their

Nice app, but...why no handicap computation?. I use your app religiously. GPS values are accurate and consistent. Most of the time. Occasionally, however, the app gets confused and will project yardage for the wrong hole or from an incorrect reference point! Example: I was on the 3rd hole of the Calusa 9, Bell Glade Country Club, The Villages. Suddenly, the app showed me on the 4th hole. Advancing or retreating between holes made no difference. Second example: on the 9th hole on the Seminole nine, the app insisted on computing yardage from the middle of the street. Obviously an error, yet I could not get the app to reset and re-evaluate the yardage from the correct tee box. Lastly, if I go to the trouble to store my scores in the app, why can’t you compute my handicap? Seems a logical next step...? What am I missing?

50% of this app is excellent!. Distances ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Club Tracking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Scoring ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ GIR ⭐️ Fairways Hit ⭐️ Apple Watch ⭐️ I used this today for the first time, extremely excited to get more insights than my last app. I plugged data for every hole as I went into my watch. The scoring showed up in the app, the number of putts showed up, but NOTHING ELSE! No club data from when I tracked it, FH & GIR didn’t show up. Its great for GPS the #’s were pretty dead on with my rangefinder. The ease of use on the course was very easy, although there are a few things that could be automated. If I shoot a 5 on a par 5 with only a single putt, it’s quite obvious I didn’t hit the GIR so why to I have to manually enter that data. Anyways, cool app, not worth $99 a year of r even $69 with the discount. I get another app for $35 a year that gives me GIR and FH with ease. It was really the club tracking I was looking to add to my data. I could see the data on my watch, I started tracking at the Tee or where ever, I’d end the tracking at the ball it would show me the distance and I’d hit save. Super Easy to use, data didn’t transfer so it was a big disappointment.

Cool app for any Player trying to improve their golf game. This app is or pretty cool and very useful. It can replace taking notes on a scorecard as well as track important stats like fairways hit(even has option to Indicate direction ball was off the Fairway), greens hit, number of chip shots, and most important for myself personally is number of putts per hole. I knew that I needed to work on my putting but I had no idea how many strokes per round it was costing me. At least 17 per round, birdies putted into double bogeys, it’s very frustrating but gives you an idea of where you want to get some practice in. Overall cool app, download if you are serious about your game and enjoy using technology to learn how you can improve your scores.

Great app that has shaved strokes off my game. I used to use the free version of this app when I first started golfing about 3 years ago. Since I have gotten better and have started to hone in on my distances with each club, the premium version of this app has helped me shave almost 16 strokes off my game (from 36 to about a 20) and I keep getting better. Yes, the more I golf the better I get but this app definitely assists me out of the course - it’s like having a caddy in your pocket. The distance feature helps me decide which club to hit, the GPS is very accurate and with the ability to see distances to lay-up spots and traps I have gained more confidence. Why spend 200+ dollars on a range finer when this app does that and way more. I like being able to pair up with others in my group for easy scoring, and it cuts down on the amount of cards I need to keep. If you take the time to put in your GIR, fairways hit, birdies, and par goals, it also does a great job of showing you metrics on where you tend to miss. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to any golfer regardless of handicap. Furthermore, it does not drain my battery like most other apps do (I can sit on 15% battery with the battery saver feature in the phone settings on for just about the entire round).

Getting worse. May have to switch golf apps. I’ve liked the app very much and think it’s well developed, but don’t care for recent changes that will have me looking elsewhere. The ‘solid shot’ feature, while well intentioned, is annoying and pretty worthless. Leave it as a buried option, but make it less prominent. The GPS and tracking seems to be less accurate than previously. I regularly had been using as a striving-to-improve amateur the shot tracking feature that was available with the free version, but now is only available as an advanced feature with paid subscription. Honestly, I would consider paying for the app, but $99 a year is exorbitant, especially as most the other golf apps are nowhere near that and I’m a 2-3 times a month golfer, if that. A lot of the advanced features seem nice, but are more than I need currently. The shot tracking is very nice to have to improve club distance knowledge. I would consider a one-time fee app or paid ‘lite’ version with fewer features including shot tracking, but not worth current subscription price. It’s really too bad.

Shot Tracker. This is a great app. Elevation changes don’t always work great in areas where it is really hilly and possible shotty phone service. I also much preferred the old shot tracker. The new one is way to complex and harder to use. Takes more time to get the exact post up of the shot and could lead to misleading shot yardage’s. The old one allowed you to move the pins to disk in the exact location and give you a read. If it was not for that I would give 5/5 rating. Edit* After further use of the app I am still just as unpleased after the recent update and will be looking for other apps. Golf bucks are worse in every way now, elevation changes do not show up most of the time, shot tracking is extremely inaccurate and hard to use (due to lag and takes longer to dial in your location which just adds to length of round and takes your actual focus off playing golf), and wind is always off. Bring back the older version or make significant improvements. That being said the yardage’s are accurate and good. Nice for keeping score.

Great app, obnoxious referral prompts. App works great but the customer referral prompts are ridiculous. I add a friend who’s not in the app to my game as a guest and I’m forced to enter their phone number so the app can send a text to them to invite them to the app. How about you don’t force people to share their friend’s private information just to play a round of golf? That is not my information to share. No way to bypass the phone number so had to enter a fake number and then back out of the prefilled text message that comes up. Also pretty sure they are selling my location and app activity with Facebook. Don’t think I’ve never seen a Facebook ad for golf related products until today, 1 hour after I finished my round.

Great App. I have been using the app regularly for a while now (free version, as the premium is a little steep at $100 per year). Overall the app is useful and intuitive. I have used various other GPS golf apps, and they are all very similar. I started using this app because it allowed you to keep score for others, and if they have the app too their scores will show up in their app, something I didn’t find on other apps. A couple of other features this one has that others don’t is a social aspect and a major focus on player development. You have a profile and a wall, friends etc and it’s much like a social media app that way. And recently they added an AI swing coach as well as a lot of tools for improving your game which seem to work remarkably well. One annoyance is that the app will not currently calculate your handicap for you. However I was told that feature is in the works and should be added in the near future. Overall I really like the app and would recommend it to anyone looking into a GPS golf app.

Ok Love this app now. Ok, at the beginning I did not like this app. Now I realize it was because I did not understand the full capabilities of this app. I initially thought it just provided the overview of the course. It is so much more. This app is for serious golfers who want to track their stats and analyze their swing. I started doing both and am now addicted to the app. It has provided many insights on the parts of my game to improve. It also provides simple drills (in video form) to help correct even the subtle quirks the cause a loss in power, distance and accuracy. The premium version is worth the $100 yearly rate. I will renew when the subscription runs out. Most unfortunate that I only realized the full capabilities after few months; but glad I did.

App is annoying and won’t stop trying to upsell. I like the basic capabilities of 18Birdies, but I do not want the paid version. When I try to start a round of golf, for which I use 18Birdies just to see the course layouts, I must click through 10 screens, trying to upsell me, before I can get the round started. For the first few holes, the app keeps trying everytime I advance to the next hole. Why can’t this be turned off? If they don’t want to offer a “free” option, then they shouldn’t offer a “free” option. But if you offer such, please don’t make it so annoying. I would be willing to make a one-time payment to use the basic functions without the annoying upsells, but this option isn’t offered. The only choices are costly subscription services. This is unfortunate. The developers are leaving money on the table by not offering a one-time payment for the right to use basic functions.

Miss having Apple Watch app. Won’t sync.. I have tried all suggestions including logging out of iPhone app, rebooting both iPhone and Apple Watch. Lots of frustration when I used to have no issue in starting my round. Watch app is great when it syncs with iPhone app. Just hasn’t been useful in for a few weeks. The developer responded letting me know that they were aware of the issue and had an update for the app and the watch app that should resolve the issue. After updating the apps on my iphone and watch, I was able to play a round of golf today using the watch and iPhone - it was great having it back - I will update my review again if anything changes. Thanks to the developers for resolving this issue and making the apps useful again.

Great app. Here’s a few ideas.. I have loved the app so far. It’s so nice to have stats so you can see where you are losing strokes on your game. It would be nice to be able to download the course map so if you are in a rural area, you wouldn’t need your data to load the map. The gps would still work fine. Also, making it easier to invite friends that you are playing with inside of the app so you can see each other’s scores while playing together would be nice as well. Last but not least, please make it cheaper to use the premium version. If it was 5-10 bucks a month, I would be doing it. Just a little to expensive right now for me. Thanks for the great app!

Good App but Apple Watch needs Phone nearby.. I use the paid version of the app. I’m happy with it, but one thing they’re lacking is the ability to use the GPS chip in the Apple Watch for your distances. Instead they rely on the GPS chip in the phone which means your phone needs to be with you during your shot for the most accurate distance. I much rather keep my phone in the Golf Cart charging and playing music than in my back pocket while I’m making shots. Many of the other apps now provide the ability to do this and have settings within the app to turn it on. The absence of this feature unfortunately has me looking at some of these other apps. I might be switching very soon.

Great interface, so so Apple Watch experience. I’m really close to putting my money where my mouth is for this app but there is one glaring issue preventing me from doing so. Distances on my Apple Watch Series 3 GPS+Cellular are rarely if ever coming from the watch GPS. When I am riding I don’t want my phone in my pocket, so I have to be cognizant of where I park the cart so I get a good idea of the distance. Sometimes when I am walking to my ball from the cart, the distances are from my watch but that might be 2 holes a round. I did see a note from the dev about disabling Bluetooth on the watch temporarily but that seems to be a bit of a silly work around. Maybe Apple doesn’t provide an API to ensure the distances are coming from the watch but as soon as this part of the app is reliable, I will pay because everything else about this app is worth it.

Why change something that was working well. I have been using 18 Birdies since it was developed a few years ago. We use it for our Saturday Skins and Birds rounds. Up until the recent, user interface changes it was perfect. Easy to see the leaderboard, players scores, and even guests could be included in the leaderboard. Now the new changes have made this so confusing. We spend more time adding names and having to help the guys who don’t have an account, or the technically challenged players who have no one in the group who is familiar with the app. The interface changes are inflexible. Once you put someone’s name in your group, deleting them doesn’t always remove them from your scorecard. The tournament section is gone and they changed the names of the previous sections so you have to learn the apps terminology. The font is excessively large to the point that you can’t see the entire leader board. After entering your scores there are so many menu buttons to locate what used to be simple prior to the update. I am not sure who requested all these changes or updates, but as a consumer this is my idea of have a great steak and pouring ketchup on it. You ruined it. Please give the user more options to use a scaled down version for scoring.

Don’t work on Apple Watch now!!!!. Used this app for a while now, worked great on Apple Watch now it never gives me the distance on my watch! Then googled the issue and it said you only get the distance on your watch if you pay for the membership after being able to do it on the free version! Even paid for a week to see if it was true ($7.99) and the for 3 rounds it did not work even with the paid version, canceled it, had 3 days before it expired then it showed the distance on the Watch so I paid for the week again to see if it just takes a few days to work, stopped working again on my watch then got a 30% off the year membership email if I renew! Updated watch, deleted the app on watch then re installed and still did not give distances! Also use to keep score on watch and it shows on the phone app but now you have to put the scores in on the watch and the phone or just one and the other one will not keep score! Now I don’t use the watch because it’s pointless now, back to using my garmin watch since I can’t seem to use this app on the Apple Watch now

Good but needs work. I have tested out several GPS apps. I like 18B because of the layout and user interface. It’s clean and provides the type of info and stat tracking I’m looking for. I’m not into the social aspect but if more of my friends had it, maybe I would be. I agree that the shot Tracking system currently in place is essentially unusable and complicated so I choose not to use that feature. I can’t speak about premium features as I only have free version now. One thing I would like to see added is a list of things like: yards to a dogleg; yards to layup, yards to bunker, yards to front, middle, back of green etc like other apps offer. Sometimes it’s just easier to quickly see the distances already calculated rather than zooming in with my finger to pinpoint the location. If this could be incorporated, it would improve on an already great foundation.

Use it correctly and it helps.. Like any other technology, garbage in, garbage out. My best advice, use the shot tracker. It will tell you your real distance per club. It is just a matter of getting in the habit of hitting the button. The blind shot feature is amazing, gives you the line, distance suggestion, and club. The “plays like” feature really helps. Considers wind, elevation, temperature, and altitude. Wish the fairways hit had option for the skyed 180 yard drive. Yeah, I hit the fairway, but hardly a good shot. Green missed should include where you missed it. All in all well worth the money to improve your game.

Handicap. I love this app so far with using it. I spent all of last year trying to track everything among appx 3-4 different apps to see which I liked more. I think I may have settled on 18 birdies. The only thing so far I wish was different is that I'm the handicap and you only play a 9 hole round that they would, like some other apps, not just double a 9 hole score but that they would add two different 9 hole rounds together. That way different 9 hole rounds at different courses would have a different slope etc and in my head I guess, it would reflect a slightly different handicap. I don't build apps or anything but I imagine if others can do it that it might not be too difficult to add for them in an update.?

Amazing app. This app is fantastic. I tried a bunch of apps that have similar features and this one was by far the cleanest, most updated, and well laid out app. It also has the most features in front of the paywall that I’ve found, but Premium gives you awesome additional features. The GPS is super useful, entering stats is super simple and doesn’t take you out of the game. You can keep as thorough stats as you want. I like that I can add my exact clubs. They even had my ‘94 Big Bertha irons. They didn’t have one of my more obscure old clubs, and I emailed them asking if there was a reason, and they replied that I should refresh because they added them. Can’t beat that customer service. This feels like it was made by people who really enjoy golf, and less of a “company” if that makes sense. The social aspect is a fun way to keep in touch with friends and see their progress and easily add them to a score card. Love the app! Features I would love: • Automatic handicap calculator (I know this is being worked on to meet the new calculation methods) • Green slope maps (even if its Premium only) • Add a ball path tracer AI (maybe as part of the existing AI. Would be fun to share in the social area, and also see your ball flight

Free. Free version is good for weekend hackers

Paul. Installed the free version on my Apple Watch and found the yardages were very inconsistent. Sometime over 20m out compared to the markers and fellow players GPS watch. Also took a long time to give distance. I had to install another paid app on the 8th hole.

Great app. Great, easy to use app helping keep up with the statistic side of it all

iPhone X. Finally decided to buy paid version which I had used the trail when I first down loaded the app. Went to use ai coach. Now you can no longer use an IPhone X but 12 months ago you could. Very disappointing.

Excellent App. Great app. Just need to find out how to change from yds to metres on the GPS map.

Mr Phillip Nguyen. I am new to golfing and this Apps was great. It a guidance for me and I have improved my HC within short time . Thank you

Sensational Stats Store. 18Birdies is not just a fantastic way to keep an eye on what you have done out on the course. It also offers a forum to get tips from the best, check out who is out there playing where around the globe. But possibly best of all, track how your mates are going when they head out so you can ask about those rounds they don’t immediately want to tell you about!

Top free App. Great app works well with your smart watch with accurate GPS🏌️

Hole ratings.. Great app but hole difficulty index is incorrect.

Love the app - please update yardages. Love the app. My home course was renovated months ago and yardages still haven’t been updated which is bugging and I’ve notified 18Birdies a couple of times now. Otherwise an awesome app

Great app!. Great app. It does what it needs to do. Cool to finally know my handicap. Shows the course. Counts the amount of shots you play eg putt shots, chips, shots out of the traps. Really cool. Highly recommend this app.

Aus Premium. Seems like a great app so far but don’t buy premium if in Australia, no clubs show up with tee times or deals.

Doesn’t suit all. Great GPS but where I live in regional Aus it doesn’t give me any reason to subscribe to premium services as I don’t get any deals or play promos.

Loved the latest update. The watch is so much more full featured. BUT I also liked when the score wasn’t on the first watch screen. Now it is back there. Give us an option maybe?

Wow I am impressed!!!. Easy to use no bs

Great app. Best golf app that I’ve used. Great info yet simple to use and accurate GPS

Above average. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt this application warranted one. Here it is: nice work devs.

Easy with good functionality. For first time golf app user it’s a great app. Plenty of functionality and easy to use

BEST UPCOMING WHOLESOME APP!. I’ve tried many many golf apps, paid, free, subscription and this one has by far been the best value for nothing! Service. With this in mind I’m more than happy to pay for premium services and use the full potential of the Golf Social Network features. I wish more and more people use it to make it even more relevant in countries outside of USA! :)

Great Golfing App. I started using 18 Birdies a month ago and am finding it very useful. Great to pretext different pathways to the green and distance to hazards.

New update needs to be updated.. Why am I spending $80 on an app that asks if I hit the fair way on a par 3? Some quality control would be appreciated things that basic and ridiculous should never make it out to public if the app was properly tested.

No dark mode. No dark mode

Great app overall for tracking and distance. The free version needs less pay to upgrade ads/push notifications

Trop de pub pour abonnement premium sinon très complet. Un peu trop poussé sur la pub de l’abonnement premium sinon très bonne application avec la apple watch

Great app. Nice app to play with friends. One missing feature it really needs is to show plays like distance on the Apple Watch. When you pay for this feature, it’s nice to not need to pull your phone out for plays like.

Watch yardage is now a premium feature. Now I don’t get yardage on my watch anymore, so now gotta look at other options

Best App Ever. 18 Birdies is not only easy to use, but it is very accurate. I have friends who use range finders and their numbers are usually spot on to the ones on the app. If only the price was not as expensive this would be the best golf app on the market by “par”.

Great app. Hole 2 needs to be changed to a par 4. Other then that great app for tracking all aspects of your game.

New updates sucks. The new update is absolutely horrid. There was nothing wrong with how you tracked shots before. Now your missing the part of “track shot from last location”. It’s a mess. I’ll be looking for another app due to this. You guys need to give the app to real people to test for functionality before releasing an update that goes backwards.

Too many upsell messages. Good app, but a pain to flip through the constant efforts of them trying to upsell to the paid version

Yardage not showing on Apple Watch?. Please fix this before I more on to a different app

Works Great for a free Golf App. I just use the free version. Yardage and maps are good. Easy to use and keep track of scores.

Used to love it but watch connect never works. This was my go to golf app, but now it will never sync with my watch. And when it does it doesn’t display yardage. It’s a shame but have moved onto other apps now.

Don’t bother. Thought I’d download this app to give it a try. I’m already using another rangefinder app called Golfshot (Apple Watch compatible) which costs me about $40/year, works flawlessly and gives me all the same abilities and gps data this app does without pop up ads. After I opened the app the first time and saw the outrageous fees I instantly uninstalled it. Save your money, there are better or comparable gps rangefinder apps out there for much less.

1st time user. Great app, tracks everything, yardages are right on and you can plan your layup to hazards etc.

Great app—missing better course statistics. This app has a lot of great features, but missing some basic things I’d love to see - Number of rounds I’ve played thus far in the year - Better whole by whole breakdowns on a course, like where my average strokes are per hole. How many birdies did I get on #13, etc.

Decent. I just use the free part and it’s pretty accurate and nice to keep track of putts and fairways hit

10/10 With Green Countours. I have a Garmin Fenix that I’ve been very excited about for years, but coming up 20 yards short on a Par 3 and my partner nailing it with 18 Birdies “Plays Like”, I’ve made the switch. The Premium price would be easier to justify if 18 Birdies added green contours.

Terrible update / stats won’t sync from Apple Watch. The most recent app update is terrible, it adds more steps on the Apple Watch and more time spent trying to log stats and get to the next hole. The worst of it is that tracking stats doesn’t sync from Apple Watch to the app, I spent a whole round adding stats only to see zero entries when the round was done and added to the app. Fix this!

Best Free Golf App!. Great app and easy to use. Love it!

Why not all golf yardages for free on Apple Watch?. Honestly this app would get a full 5 stars from me and I wouldn’t need to use any other if they would include the front and back yardage readings for free like Golf Shot does. Why is that a premium feature? I may actually remove the app just because Golf Shot offers more for free. I just really enjoy the UI on this all over golf shot.

Usually 4 stars but unusable for the watch. Usually this app is a 4 star. Decently accurate with yardage, consistent in all other areas. However, for some reason it will not load the yardage on my Apple Watch. It just sits blank. Not just on mine. There are a few others I know who are experiencing the same issue. Please help?

Way too many pop-ups. I hardly use any of the features of this app because the pop-ups keep stealing the focus. One, two, ok, 3, 4, 5? What are they thinking?

Easy to use. First time using this app. To track each shot is a bit cumbersome. Could be one click everytime you reach your ball from your previous shot. I used it mainly for a score card and course layout as it was very busy out and didn’t have time to track every shot. Has great potential!

Golf. This an amazing app, plus it’s incredibly accurate. :D

Excellent App. Accurate distances and all you need is available with the free version. Very user friendly and does not go through nearly as much battery as I expected

New update is bad. Great app but the most recent update is absolutely horrible. Makes it nearly impossible to switch to the next hole. Please fix this there was nothing wrong with the last version new version makes me want to switch to a different app.

Not Bad. Decent app but room for improvement. and the amount of notifications that come up are absolutely annoying AF. Had to disable the notifications because it was that bad

Really like the app but…. I really like the app on my iPhone but seems to be a little glitchy on my Apple Watch. Sometimes it doesn’t finishing syncing on my watch till after my round is complete. The developers should also offer a 6 month subscription for us in Canada who can really only golf between the months of May to October.

Great app. I’ve only had good experiences with thus app. I have not purchased the extras, which look great. But, as a basic golf app with gos — 👍👍

Great app, but annoying to make pre-game plans. Love this app a ton, and especially their connection with Me and My Golf. My only complaint at this time is that if you want to pre-plan your strategy before you get to a course, it shows the distances from the furthest back tees even if you select any of the shorter tee boxes. It’s annoying to have to manually move up each starting point before making an accurate game plan. On the course it recognizes where you are no problem, it would just be nice to have an easily made plan in mind before I head to the first tee box.

Free version. Currently using the free version to get a feel for the app and I really like it ! GPS is awesome east to use ! So far I’m impressed ! Try it !

Great golf app. Honestly, not much bad to say. Easy to use, precise,, and useful.

Great. Easy to use and really good.

Very cool. The free aspects of the app are amazing, being able just to know the distance to the hole has allowed me to shave off around 4 strokes from my game, should download and try

Excellent App!. Work well and is accurate!

Bad app. Very disappointed about this app It gave wrong distances About 10 yards difference with a true golf watch

Watch and club recommendations. Constantly losing my club recommendations and never syncs with my watch. Very frustrating.

Absolutely the best.. This is the single greatest golf app for golfers. My Club includes a Golf Canada membership but their app is no good so I only enter scores in it after my round since unfortunately 18Birdies can’t be linked to it for handicap purposes. But this app and it’s premium tier is so high quality that is a worthy sacrifice for me. Great app, love it, never golf without it anymore. Cheers

Great app!. This is awesome . First year playing golf and it just helps so much . I really love how it tells you how far but also how it plays . In other words it could be 250 to the pin but if it’s down hill it will tell you play it like 200 ( just an example). Trusted it a few times and really put the ball in there . If you have any idea what you hit your clubs and you pair it with this app , the rest Is up to you .

Annuler. Bonjour, Je veux annuler l’achat de 18 birdies J’au fait l’achat par erreur Merci de bien vouloir l’annuler Diane Rioux

Great app. Look forward to using this for the 2023 season

Pretty pricey. I really like the app, does really well for the free version, I would get the premium but I can’t justify 20 bucks a month, would gladly even do like 10, if they ever bring the price down would forsure be a premium user

Wont sync to Apple Watch. The app is pretty good, but it won’t sync to my watch anymore (Series 8). I start a round on my phone, open the app on my watch, and my watch just sits there asking me to ‘start a roundI’. Please fix.

Best golf app out there. Fantastic app. Does everything! Love it

easy to use. Fast response and easy to use.

Good app when it works. I really like this app, when it works on watch. However have had a lot of issues with getting it to work. Most times it just says ‘syncing’ so can’t get watch to work. Then to work off my phone drains my battery so often dies at 13th hole.

Amazing app easy to use and free. Tous les terrains que je joue dans mon coin sont sur l’application et à jour.

Great app!. Using it on my Apple Watch has been amazing! No more score card and no range finder needed as it is all available information right there on the watch!

18 Birdies.. Love this app, the way you can keep track of your score and see how your friends are doing while playing their rounds is absolutely phenomenal. Love it, love it love it. Good job.

Loving 18 Birdies. I’ve tried multiple golf gps apps and 18 Birdies is my favorite by a long shot. I especially appreciate that it does not drain my battery while playing. Other apps killed my battery I and had to take steps to preserve battery. But, with 18 Birdies, I do nothing and have played as many as 45 holes and still had plenty of battery without charging. I also have found the “Plays Like” distances to be particularly accurate.

Great with some hiccups. It’s great for general distances, shot tracking (through gps), booking tee times (limited courses), and keeping scores. But the gps maps on the courses can be a year or two outdated, so if your course added a bunker or changed the greens a bit, it won’t always show them. But satellite photos aren’t always the most up to date on any site or app. I’m having an issue now where I can’t access any or my round history to look at my previous scores. But if you share the round on your feed it shouldn’t be an issue as you can see the posts later on.

Really compact and easy to use on course. This app is pretty awesome for being mostly free. It is quick and easy to track shots on the course and not overly clunky or invasive. The gps is accurate and keeps average of club distances for you which is extremely handy. Only thing I’d say I wish was included is the option to exclude specific shots (for example a shank) from the club average or caddy mode. I’d like to keep the shot logged for round tracking reasons but if I skull my 9i 180 yards downhill or shank my driver 150 yards it reflects in my caddy and club average inaccurately. Otherwise everything is this APP is pretty A+

Great app. Needs Apple Watch compilation.. This is a great all-around app. The only thing missing is a compilation that I can add to the watch face on my Apple Watch. It would be nice if the compilation would launch the app. If it was more advanced it could provide a compilation that show what stroke I am on. and, one for what hole I’m on. And one to show the distance to the hole. And one to show current score. This way I could create a golf watch face with multiple 18 birdie compilations on it. But I’d be happy with just being able to open 18 birdies from my watch face.

Amazing App. This app is awesome - it really helps you track every aspect of your game and brings you together will all of your closest golfing buddies. I love the fact that they added an Apple Watch app so I can quickly check the yardage on the course. The only improvement I would recommend is I wish the watch app wasn’t to sensitive to turning the crown of the watch which changes the hole. I find when I swing the crown gets turned / pushes in sometimes and it either changes the hole or exits the app and I’m constantly adjusting it.

WATCH GPS Needs Changes. Shot tracking your rounds is awesome, but haven’t to buy premium to do so is just not worth it. The social aspect of the app is unnecessary IMO, but if they could keep better track of local tournaments it would make it worth checking out. The Apple Watch app is useless unless you plan to unlock your phone before every swing. It will show me 650 yards away from the green on a 170 par 3. An easy fix would be to allow an option for location services to be active “always” in the app settings. I’ll be moving back to my old golf app until 18Birdies gives me a reason to return.

Best iPhone Golf App!!!. I reviewed the app more than a year ago. The app was good but not great. I made some concrete suggestions at the time. Update by update this app gets better and better. I’ve tried every major iPhone app available and this is now clearly the leader. But what impresses me more is that the developers seem to intend to consistently improve the app in a patient and consistent way. Keep it moving. The app in an absolute sense is very good (there are more superlative levels available) and it is by far the best out there!

New Watch Update is Broken. Gives me incorrect distance from the tee on many holes. It seems like it doesn’t use GPS until I get to the fairway. It just guesses which tee box I’m on. And it’s wrong half the time. It should always be using my location in relation to the green. Also to echo some other reviews. The new Watch UI is a bit clunky. The old one was easy and quick to use. The new one has some more functionality, but takes 3-4 times as long to enter the information from the hole. The answer is somewhere in the middle.

So Close to Perfect. For me, what would make me subscribe instantly is to figure out how to implement Autoshot Tracking with the Apple Watch and get a little more friendly with the Apple Watch as far as adding an app complication (not hard). People like using their watch if possible and leave the phone alone, speeds things up in my opinion. Love all the social features and the different game types but another big name golf app has the shot tracking and just added “swing id” which gives even more granular swing metrics. 18birdies is double the price without those cool features so I still haven’t paid for premium.

Apple Watch app won’t work. Using my phone is fine. However as a premium member I would have hoped for a lot more intuitive gps tracking service. Having to manually click to each hole as your golf is annoying. Also, my Apple Watch and iPhone apps will totally disagree with one another on distances by HUNDREDS of yards. Even with both devices side by side. The fact that you scroll hole to hole on the Watch with the dial on the side of the Watch is bad bc your glove will turn the dial and next thing you know you’re looming at the 17th hole while you’re trying to chip up to 3. Not worth it to pay the annual subscription at this point. Buggy as can be. Doubt I’ll continue after my 30 day trial.

Great App All-In-One!. I learned about this app listening to a golf podcast I regularly listen to. I had a few extra minutes to download and check it out and really liked what I saw and decided to go with the premium membership. Think Facebook for golf from a social perspective. This feature allows you to connect with new playing partners and courses regardless of where you are. The app keeps score, has a great GPS and also has several ‘game bet’ options that will keep track of EVERYTHING as scores are input. It even allows strokes to be given or received and factors that in for you! My favorite feature of the app is the advanced stat tracking. I can enter scores and stats after each hole and at the end of each round can easily review where I had success and areas I need to work on.

Always reliable. 18 birdies has been a lot of fun. I love being able to keep track of all the important points of the game. Keeping track of putts, chips, fairways hit, is really helpful, and the most important thing, the yardages are spot on. Not to mention, I haven't found a course yet that wasn't on here. Do yourself a favor and use this app, and then tell a friend or two about it. Keep up the good work 18 birdies and thank you.

Handicap calculator please. Love the app, best out there. I understand what you’re doing with waiting for the new handicap system to come out, but that’s over a year away yet and I hope to play more than a few rounds of golf between now and then. Can’t we keep the current handicap calculator integrated into the app as it was last year, and switch over when the time is right? I really miss that feature. I was improving my game rapidly last season and it was really awesome to see my handicap change as I finished out a round.

Good but 1 complaint. The app is 90% good, but my one complaint: There’s an “18 birdies” leaderboard - I used this at my home course to see how many birdies I have on each hole. WELP. Some d bag inputs his score to birdie every hole, and now the leaderboard doesn’t exist. Only shows the one guy who has finished all 18 birdies. Why?? Just let the leaderboard show everyone! Also, seeing “hole by hole” stats used to be free. I’m not unlocking premium for that lol but I liked being able to see it. Ugh

Amazing golf app. This is an amazing golf app! I have the subscription and love everything it comes with. The only issues I have is that the flag placement is off pretty often. As well as the the dimensions of the green. That’s the only flaw/issue. Definitely a 4.5 star! 5 stars hands down if they fix it or make it to where you can look at course and move flag so you can just play with ease not having to go back and look constantly. Definitely do recommend 110% all to use this app!!

Honest Review as a Mid Handicap. At the time of writing I’m about a 12.2 index. 18 birdies has helped me enjoy the game by giving me yardages to my Apple Watch, where I can also enter score, GIR stats, Putts, Chips, Sand Shots, penalties, Fairways and maybe a few other things. The phone I rarely take out, only when I need yardages to a specific hazard and on the tee box looking at hole shape. The GPS is solid. They just need to develop a better way to view your stats and see your progress after they collect the data.

4-1/2 stars, not 5.. I’ve since deleted all “Friends” that are not Premium Members. This app has been overtaken by BOTS and continues to do nothing about it. You want to add people to play with, make sure their either a Premium Member or someone you actually know. All other features and components of this app are 5 stars, very helpful and on point, I’ve gone from a 30 handicap to an 11, and I believe this app is a huge part of my personal improvements. If they could just care enough to fix the BOT issues, I would be singing their praises from the hilltops, and telling everyone I know....to be continued I guess, just like my game!

Finally an app that was well on iWatch!. I tried 4 or 5 highly rated apps that worked well except their interface on the watch was either annoying or useless. Not so here! I get exactly what I am looking for - front, center, back of the green. Bonus for me is that the score keeping is unobtrusive and easy to use. I used to keep score on a card then enter my round on my phone after. This is so easy I don’t care about the card. Only thing left for me to try is entering scores for more than me but I suspect it will be easy as well. Highly recommended.

Not intuitive. The interface is confusing, especially adding additional players to the round. I figured it out finally, but it should be more intuitive. The constant pop ups and ads don’t help at all and given the problems below, I’m not about to pay to remove them. I’m 61 and the text on my iPhone X is too small to read without putting on my glasses. There’s no option to make the text bigger and it doesn’t seem to matter what the IOS system setting is. It only displays in portrait mode and not landscape. Also, I track shots and putts so it should be able to calculate greens in regulation but instead requires me to check that off for each hole. Overall, the interface needs much work to be useful for me.

Excellent App.. Too Many Upsells. My one complaint is that there are far too many things on screen that are trying to upgrade you to the subscription. Upsells are fine but there are just way too many; I get that free will have limited functionality, but every one doesn’t need a call-to-action on every possible screen. Simplify the experience, be strategic with your CTAs. It’ll be a better experience for someone trying out your app for the first time (like me) and if done correctly, will be much more effective with conversions due to the better, cleaner free experience.

Best App our there but new update took away great feature. The app is by far the best on the market right now. Lots of great stuff embedded into the app. The GPS is great and very spot on. I do believe the new update got a little ahead of itself by completely taking away the old school method of tracking shots. I enjoyed tracking shots when comfortable or wanting to track. Now, you have to do the strokes gained in order to get that back. The way it does the scorecard with this makes it a little difficult. I am a fan of the update, but maybe it’s just the ease of use. Either way, definitely would recommend.

I want to love this but can’t. It’s like they built a world class golf app, with everything you hoped for, but they fell short in a few key areas which make it pretty much unusable. First... How for the love of god do you resume a round when you come back to the app? It shows at the bottom of the page a round in progress but you can do nothing to get back to the round other than “view scorecard and finish”. You then have to start an entirely new round every time!!! If I’m missing something then this is a horribly undiscoverable UX element. Second... Trying to upgrade to premium and it keeps spinning and says there is a problem contacting App Store and to email support. Third... The swing analysis looks really cool. I upload my front on swing and it works perfectly. Upload a down the line and it registers as front on and there is no way to change it. So you can’t analyze a DTL video. It tried to be too smart, you should allow the user to tell it what view you loaded.

Great app!. Love this app been using it for a few years now to get my handicap. Great to track your shots, keep stats to improve your game and make notes on the course for each hole to look at later (skulled chip, hit 8 iron fat, need to work on hybrid etc.) as well. Only tough thing is GPS could use some fine tuning definitely off here and there by about 5-10 yards but nothing crazy. I wish you could Move the flag around on the green but other than that BEST APP to use on the course in my opinion.

Needs Work on UAT. Overall I believe there are much better golf apps out there than this one. Therefore I would rate this 2 out of 10. I compared this to Hole19 app. 1. TOO MANY Clicks, This app has more clicks than any other apps. eg I had to click 7x more than Hole19 app. Those 7 clicks was just to record my shot for ONE hole. It need to streamline it's clicks. I believe it would take an extra 30sec to go through all the clicks. There are even click where you'll miss inputting because it's not available until you finish that single hole. (Hole19 does this feature much better than 18Birdies) 2. NOT Edit Friendly, It's not edit friendly while you are trying to golf at the sametime. eg. I cannot adjust the tee off from the beginning of each shot. 3. NO Simplicity, This app is very cumbersome with information where you it's not informative. With all the icons it COVERS the course map. My suggestion would be try out Hole19. It's more simple and intuitive app while at the same time you can focus on your game.

Great app. This is a very handy app. Usually the distances are pretty much spot on. It has a lot more stuffed into than I thought it would when I subscribed a year ago. The wind reading was always accurate too. Using the swing analysis feature was good in a well lit space. The tips it suggested for me were actually really helpful. There are games you can play. My favorite feature is the caddy. It’s just really helpful to me. I like saving as much time as I can on the course and not really debating what I need to use just help me not think and just hit. Feels fancy. I like it. Overall great app. Worth the subscription if you ask me.

Very good. Just found this app. Have tried others and like this layout best. I’m in the process of trying to get my friends to install this on their phones. I created a new group for our area. I do wish there was a way to search for groups. Didn’t find a way. And would be nice to enter a location for your new group so others may find and join it easier. Haven’t tried it on the course yet. Will probably still use my gps unit tho. Good work guys. Sorta like Facebook for golfers.

Best option out there!. Actually free GPS and scorecard information. Haven’t found a course that isn’t in their database yet. Awesome tools and opportunities to test out the premium tools are great. Distances to the greens are almost always spot on (Sometimes I double check my rangefinder with the gps distance and know that I’m missing the pin). Able to play with others in your group and even keep track of side games. 18 Birdies is a must have for golfers trying to improve their game.

Very frustrating. I purchased the premium version of 18Birdies and an Iwatch just to use it. It worked great for several months now it constantly loses contact with th satellite. The watch will start its own round, and the phone will start its own round, each keeping its own score . Today was the last straw the watch started on a completely different way to use the app that I’ve ever seen before. It was impossible to use or to keep score it messed up the yardages. I originally got this to replace my Garmin. I just didn’t like the way the watch looked but it always worked 100%. I’m going back to the Garmin I have canceled 18 birdies. Don’t waste your time or money.

Good with potential to be Great. Great app so far, just switched from a different app to this one for the better quality map and all the additional features offered. The only downside I have seen so far is the GPS takes 10-15 seconds of jumping around to finally locate me on the course and even then can be up 5 yards off what other GPS systems are showing. My golfing buddy who also uses the app did not have this problem, his was updating within 1-2 seconds and would be maybe 1-2 yards off other GPS systems. I have an iPhone and he has a Samsung so from my experience it appears it could be an OS problem.

18 Birdies Review. Wow, what an app! I love 18 Birdies for many many reasons. With the GPS, you can easily track yards to pin from anywhere on the course. I never carry a scorecard anymore, I keep my score recorded on 18Birdies app and it keeps up with my handicap for me, my average, and so much more! The games are awesome-I have actually won a prize! The newsfeed is really interesting. You can watch some of the pros on the tour, and you get awesome shots of beautiful golf courses posted regularly. If you haven’t tried it yet you are definitely missing out!

I like the app over all.

iWatch need bugs worked out. Several problems with the iWatch app. Tried using it on several rounds and have not been happy with my experience. 1. App on iPhone has to be opened prior to using it on you iWatch. I usually don’t carry my phone on me during rounds and with other apps have been able to use the app on the iWatch without ever using my iPhone. 2.App does not run in the background and has to be consistently reopened every time you want yardage and to mark your score. 3. GPS takes a long time to refresh and give correct yardage. Compared with other apps I have used. The accuracy and time it takes to give you proper yardage is disappointing. 4. App does not take advantage of the “activity” feature on your iWatch which should log your round as exercise and track your steps throughout the round to help you “close” that green loop on your activity rings. 5.When trying to switch between iPhone app and iWatch app. Syncing is lagging and fails keep current holes or scores the same on both apps.

Last update is very bugged. Today is 9/2/23 and most recent update doesn’t allow score cards to been seen in full. When clicking on a friends round and then view full score card the app says “round has been cancelled” on every person and no stats can be seen. Also, the watch version has less applicable features during shots and you have to manually enter stats rather than being one press away. Only writing the review so the bug can be seen and fixed. Otherwise I love 18Birdies and features are great and will continue to use

Exactly what I was looking for!. The GPS tracking is as accurate as I could have hoped for, and really helps with club selection, especially for someone who is just getting into the golf world. Love the tutorials, and the golf bucks idea. Can not wait to utilize it more! Also wanted to say that they have an awesome team working behind the scenes! Had a question, so I sent an email to support, and had an answer from Austin within just a few minutes. Awesome app, and awesome customer service. 5 stars from me!

Amazing GPS!!. I have the free version and I've been using it since May 2020. I've been very impressed by the GPS. It is very accurate and has helped me quite a bit. I don't have to search for a sprinkler head for yardage. I also really like the scorecard tracker. I also use it for fairway hits and putts. Two stats that I care about. There are more stats that could be tracked if interested. I enjoy reviewing my scorecard after a round to figure out what I did well and where I could have done better. Great features for a free app!

Fantastic app!. I use this in tournament mode on every course I play here in central Florida. It’s like having a spot on yardage book in your pocket, minus green slopes lol. These guys did a bang up job! The cost of a premium membership is 1/5 of the cost of a decent yardage finder and it’s got all the other perks those don’t. (Who doesn’t like to look at Paige swing a club all saucy like?) Seriously, not being a premium member is fiscally irresponsible. If you choose to have it be your caddy, this thing gets better for you every round you play with the track shots feature. It almost makes golf boring it’s so good. And before anybody gets any ideas, no. I don’t work for them and have never won jack from their contests. If you play this ridiculously hard game, be smart and make it easier on yourself. Use this app. Support the developer and get the premium version. You won’t be sorry. Just do it.

18 Birdies. This app has been great so far! It definitely takes a few uses to learn all of its features. The only negative that I can say about it is the gps. I think the distances are good on it, but it has some of the holes mixed up, and some of the holes ending on the wrong green. This wouldn’t be an issue if a user could adjust or make corrections to the flag on the green. Other than that this app is awesome because it is free, and it keeps your scores and stats that you put it. All of your rounds are saved in one spot. The only thing I don’t know is how many rounds it can store for you. My friends and I don’t even use score cards anymore. We just use the app together.

So Far So Good. I’ve been golfing for about 14 years but only getting on the course a couple times a year. I’m making it a point to improve my game this summer, and 18Birdies is definitely helping with that. One of my biggest problems is not locking in on my distances, so having 18Birdies tell me exactly how far the green is on each shot is huge for that. The next step will be using the AI coach for my swing. I’m excited to see how much I can improve over the next couple months

Keeps Getting Better. I’ve used this app for about 3 years now. Started out with the free version which was great then realized what I was missing with the paid version. It’s well worth the money to be able to track stats. Recently started using the shot tracker which is very easy to use without being too involved on my phone while playing. Being able to see your driving average was a huge help with my game. I’ve used so many other apps that were clunky and basic, I can say this is the best I’ve used!

Good but annoying ads. Been using the free version of this for about a year. It functions pretty well as a GPS on my iPhone, though has been known to be buggy on my iwatch. Eg, on a course I didn’t know, got to the tee box on a par 3 and it said something ridiculous like 500 yards. That said, it has gotten better and likely I’ve gotten used to it. I mostly use it now as a backup to my ShotScope. Just wish I could spend a small amount to get rid of the ads pleading for me to upgrade to services I don’t want.

Best App for Game Improvement!. If I could rate this 100 stars, I would! After using the AI Swing Coach one time I have improved my swing beyond what I ever thought would be possible and that is no exaggeration. I went from slicing almost every single shot to hitting consistent straight shots, every time. The simple adjustments from the AI Coach and swing analyzer make this app an absolute gem. It really works. I shaved an average of 17 shots off my score; no joke (I was horrible, haha). I had no idea this app would make me feel much more confident on the course. I’ll be a user for a long time!

Nice golf app. Got the app for the Apple Watch feature and really enjoyed having it playing the latest round of golf. Was golfing an unfamiliar course and the yardage feature on the watch was terrific. The only odd thing was frequently when I checked the watch a second time when over the ball the yardage would be way off. The phone app was always correct and when I moved a few feet the yardage would reset correctly on the watch. I didn’t take advantage of all the other features but the look useful and will try them next time. All in all a worthwhile golfing app

myPAR and Solid Shot. myPAR: Where did it go? The only thing this app is missing is tracking my handicap. When I first started using this app is tracked my handicap. Then it stopped. Then they added the myPAR function which is basically the same idea. Now it seems to have disappeared??? Solid Shot: good concept. Problem is you can’t track it in the Apple Watch like you can other things. Should add this to Apple Watch stat tracking. Overall I highly recommend this app for golfers.

App features good Gps not so good. I like all the features like suggesting your clubs, score tracking, courses, wind direction elevation which sometimes works and sometimes not, but Gps not so good, slow takes to long to find you, and sometimes does not find you at all. Spoke to support and we tried several things but both me and a golf partner have the same problems sitting right next to each other. I track my scores with it and club distances, that’s about it.

My Golf Go 2 App. I have tried several different Golf apps but none compare to 18 Birdies... it’s a one stop shop! The interface is user friendly and easy to navigate. The course description and user feedback are very helpful for Booking a round. GPS is always up to date and gives a real view of the hole. As a paid subscriber my favorite feature is the Caddy- it is customized to my clubs and club recommendations has been spot on. I definitely feel my game has improved thanks to 18 Birdies!

Inaccurate tee placements and can’t move pin. The only issue I have with 18 birdies is that some holes the tee boxes are hella off. For me I enjoy seeing how far I hit my tee shot and sometimes it’s wildly inaccurate but rarely. It would also be cool to see them add a feature to move the pins. Overall this app is phenomenal. I used golf logix for a long time and I am glad I switched over to 18Birdies. The satellite view is dope and helps with lining up shots

Casual player needs minimal enagagement. I am not a golfer by any means, but I play with some friends who like us to use the app when we play together. I don’t really care what clubs tiger woods is playing with nor any other variety of celebrity golfer related “news”. If there’s a toggle for what kind of notifications I receive from the app, I can’t find it. If there isn’t, please add one. I only engage with the app while playing (chats, score tracking, range finding); please don’t make me have to open the app just to clear a notification. I won’t stay to read some article. Open, close, quit—and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise, it’s a fine app for what I use it for.

Almost perfect. It’s great when it works. Ever since I got the app, I always experienced syncing issues between the phone and my apple watch. I have the most updated version of the app and apple watch ultra. I think they addressed the issue and worked for a minute but now it’s back to having issues again. Aside from that a suggestion would be to make it available as an icon widget on the watch so it can display distance to center or green on the watch face.

Too many bells and whistles.. Was much better in earlier versions before all the bells and whistles were added. Played today for first time this year with all the updates and stopped using it after 3 holes. Kept showing pop up ads and junk on screen and was slowing down pace of play too much. Last year’s version was much better. Have removed it from iPhone and iwatch and will replace it with something easier to use. If it was a simple gps yardage range finder I’d give it a 5+ and willingly pay for it.

Great way to bring us together!. 18 Birdies! Thank you so much. Such a great source for information and such a great way to bring us together. I have never used a social media site. But I find that for every time I’ve posted or posts that I have replied to, there are many supportive good and decent folks willing to give a positive response. I haven’t been golfing very long and I don’t have a great handicap either, but it doesn’t matter cause I’ve come to find out just how real people can really be on the course and on 18 Birdies. Thank You 🙏🇺🇸🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️
