A great app for the kids and paleontologists alike!. This app is loaded with beautiful imagery and information about the known dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals along side or before them! With more on the way! If you’re a paleontologist in the making, or if you have kids that love learning about dinosaurs, this app is highly recommended!

Very well done but crashes a lot after recent update. First of all thanks a lot for this great app, my kid loves it very much. I would have given it a five-star rating, however, after the latest update it keeps crashing whenever i try to view dinosaurs section, do please fix it.

Is 4.9 an option??. This app is great. Bought it for my 2 year old son who has this awesome fascination with dinosaurs. Bought it only for the AR portion but the rest of the app seems fantastic and as my son grows, he will continue to enjoy the rest of what this app has to offer. Giving the app a 4 out of 5 because when using the AR everything but the dinosaur seems blurry. So taking a photo of my son next to a T-Rex is great but wish he was clear in the image. Truthfully maybe I am doing something wrong when taking the photo on my iPhone X, but I’m not sure. Giving a 4 out of five because 4.9 out of 5 is not an option.

Dinosaur App - Not all inclusive. I bought this app expecting it to be full of information about dinosaurs. There are major well known dinosaurs missing from this app including, Nanotyrannus & Utahraptor (and many others). Unless an update comes soon, I would not consider this app a “encyclopedia.”

This is truly a must get for dino lovers!! 🦖🦕. This is truly one of the most informative encyclopedias on dinosaurs I’ve ever seen :) highly recommend it to anyone whether that be one that’s studying animal biology and paleontology like myself or for anyone that’s a nut for dinosaurs like myself too :) 🦖🦕

Stuck on Alternate Icons screen. I’ve installed and re-installed the app, and I have the same problem both times: when I launch it, I see the Alternate Icons screen. The navigation arrow that’s supposed to take me out of this screen doesn’t work. So, I can’t use the app at all.

Beautiful artwork but.... The "information" sections of each dinosaur only shows one line of text with ellipses trailing off. I don't see a way to see the rest. I didn't drop a star because this is more of a bug than a conceptual issue I have with the app. Otherwise beautifully rendered and adding sound to the artwork really makes this an immersive app.

Perfect but one key flaw. I've had this app for a while and just got back to using it a lot... even better than I remember it being except the sound is gone. There is absolutely no sound on the app and I've checked the settings and still nothing. Other than that issue it runs great, looks amazing and is very entertaining. Very solid and good, but the sound issue is killing me

Very Disappointing. While the art is great and has lots of cool features I am no longer a fan. I used to have this app on an old phone and loved it and could see and do everything for free. I got reminded of it earlier today and redownloaded it only to see everything was locked behind a subscription based paywall! I don’t like the idea of blocking a young budding paleontologist’s passion behind a paywall especially when the information can be accessed on google for free.

Add Marine Reptiles. This is a beautiful app, and one of the only that shows 100% accurate dinosaurs and pterosaurs. I would love to see marine reptiles like Icthyosaurus and Tylosaurus represented. I know you would do a good job. 🦖🦕

It’s ok...AR doesn’t work.. Can we get our money back? Got it for my son, and it seemed nice. But the AR part (the reason we wanted it to begin with) doesn’t work. It’s been 10 mins and it’s still “loading” — we are on FIOS internet (super fast and we never have a problem w speed). If the developer can find a way to make it work, I’d reconsider. But for now it just takes up space without really working.

Stickers. I _love_ the dinosaur iMessage stickers. I use them many times a day to convey a wide variety of concepts.

World of Dinosaurs. 1 out of 5 Stars. I’m beginning to ween myself from apps that draw you in then slap you with 3 to 5 add ons then you get an updates and the app is a lease/ subscription app. I don’t mind paying for 2 add one but when I have to pay indefinitely for an app on a device that I have to replace in 5 years for $900... I’ll just go get an ebook encyclopedia. At least I won’t get burned if Apple change their hardware or rules and the app I spent $30 wasn’t updated and pulled off the store.

Art. I like the art but can’t give 5 stars because 20 dollars for a single picture is ridiculous and an extra dollar on top of app’s price for marine reptiles is unfortunate

The latest version is even better. It loads faster, the artwork is stunning and there’s more to explore. I’m enjoying this immensely.

Amazing.. Utterly amazing. Beautiful. I have no words...Just suggestions. My only suggestions are to have other life from the Mesozoic era (such as plesiosaurs, other archosaurs, mammals, etc...) and also to have more dinosaurs and pterosaurs. Otherwise, amazing!

Great educational app. I love this app, especially how they separate the Pterosaurs category from Dinosaurs. Only thing I wish they included are more of the Marine Reptiles that dominated the seas during the same times. Maybe an update???

Fantastic. Incredibly educational and the artwork is amazing. Just wish there were more dinosaurs and other types of life during the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.

Why is it the way it is. Ok. I have many problems with this app. Number one is why do I have to pay to see other dinosaurs that’s a waste of time and if that’s the case then why would I want it. Second of all why does every theropod have feathers, that’s inaccurate. Allosaurus, and Acrocanthosaurus would probably not have feathers. Also why do the sauropods look elephantine and fleshy instead of scaly? This app would be very good without these flaws, but the main flaw I have a problem with is the fact that I have to pay to see other dinosaurs.

It just got better. I love the new marine reptile section. But why did it cost money?. And when are you gonna add new Dino’s and AR Dino’s. Please reply.

Nice look, but light on content.. The illustrations and sound are very engaging. The AR isn’t perfect, but still fun. The emojis are awesome. However, if you are looking for a comprehensive database of known dinosaurs. This app isn’t for you. Most books contain far more different kinds of dinosaurs than this app. does. Furthermore, much of the AR doesn’t have any apparent educational value other than, perhaps,to give a sense of scale. For example, it is impressive that I can view a deinonychus femur from every angle on my living room floor, but why? In short, it feels like a lot of effort was put into the look and design of this app, but they got lazy about actual educational content.

It is good. It is pretty good informative and very nice small features that makes it so much better it has a variety of dinosaurs and I got to learn about my favorite allosaurus very good and informative and if you love dinosaurs it is amazing.

Horrible app not reference. Worst app I have ever purchased. Not worth anything unless you are under 5 years of age. I really expected more from this app. It should not be under reference. I was looking for an app that could provide easy alphabetical access and this was not it. Preview images are misleading. Edited to respond to dev: I am accessing this app on the iPhone X. After dedicating more time than this app is worth to see if the 🔍 would appear on any part of the app, I finally managed to access it under very strict and specific circumstances. You must go to the pull up menu and click back on “dinosaurs” this will bring up the panoramic image and the 🔍 will appear- if you move your phone or touch anywhere else the 🔍 icon will disappear (doesn’t matter if you are using the accelerometer view or scroll view). It does not appear under any other circumstances or on any other page or even in the pop up menu (where it belongs). I have sent screen shots of this issue directly to the devs and I hope they will fix this. Until this is fixed the app is not worth it and my one star review will stand. The 🔍 icon should not be an Easter egg that the user has to find. I paid for this app and I want to be able to use it as an educational resource. I want it to work. I would be more than happy to amend the rating and review if and when it becomes what it claims to be.

Very nice, but two things need fixing.... While WOD is both impressive and entertaining, I did find two glitches that need some attention. First is that the information page for Troodon is in Spanish. Now, if I were fluent in Spanish this really wouldn't be much of an issue. Sadly, I'm no good at reading or speaking Spanish, so this is a bit of a bummer for me. The second thing is the image for Iguanodon doesn't display, even though its information page does. Instead of the intended image showing up, I get the far left portion of the previous dinosaur's image (regardless of which direction I approach from). Kind of odd, I must say. But even with these two issues I still think the app is very well done. Could use a few more dinosaurs, though... and pterosaurs, too... some more marine reptiles would really nice, as well, and maybe you folks could toss in some crocodyliformes just to be sure, OK? Thanks a bunch, and keep up the good work! ;-) OK, as of August 22, 2018, I just updated to the latest version and now it won’t let me do anything but change the icon. Not sure what is going on, but I even restarted my iPhone and it made no difference. Any advice on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! This new update is a scam!!. I bought this app a year a go for 5$. This allowed me to enjoy the app, giving me mostly full access to all its given content (except for the directory and marine reptiles). It was an awesome way to checkout dinosaurs, use to find documents on recent studies, and get a quick overview on paleontologist. This new update, however, has revoked everything that once came free to the user (after making the app purchase of course) locking it all behind a yearly subscription fee of 20$. Why would I pay for something yearly when I can simply get a book? Honestly this app cheated anybody who bought it before this update… I don’t recommend this app to anybody since there are so many other “better ones to choose from.

This is so cool!. I am autistic and my special interest has been dinosaurs for a while so I was really excited when I found this app. It seems super cool so far! I’ve been playing around with it on both my phone and my Apple Watch. I was specifically intrigued because of the ability to have some more dinosaurs on my Apple Watch. I’m thoroughly enjoying the app so far. It’s really quite comprehensive. I’m a bit saddened by the fact that you have to pay for the app and also subscribe and pay for the Dino directory though. However, latest scientific updates/news, glossary, anatomy, and everything is super cool and I love that I can just access it all through an app. The info on the Apple Watch is limited and I would love to see that expanded on more soon!

Love This.. I’m a dinosaur lover, and have a passion for vertebrae paleontology. This app is a great reference for people like me, who have a passion, but not much to look at. This helped me greatly. I recommend this to anyone with a passion as well, and this has no glitches or bugs I can find. 10/10! P.S. love the “change icon” feature.

Subscription pack updates don’t come as promised. 2 Reviews on this topic have already been deleted, so here the third. Prehistoric pack is advertised as being updated monthly, but this isn’t the case. This needs to be fixed in order for me to adjust my review. Edit: after receiving a response from the developer, I need to note that the response given claims regular updates… But, specifically, the problem that I have been commenting on is the fact that we pay for a “monthly“ prehistoric pack… While the app does receive more frequent updates (to fix minor bugs and the like), the thing that we are actually paying extra money for to get updated monthly does not happen. I am not paying for an extra monthly subscription pack just so the development team can make maintenance updates to the application (which should be expected from simply purchasing the app). I find this response from the developers to be dishonest and troubling. 2nd Edit: So… an update happened today, but: STILL NO UPDATE to the prehistoric pack, which is advertised as having monthly updates (it’s been many months since this happened). This is something that us subscribers PAY for- update it as promised!!! Not OK devs, and not OK on Apple either, for allowing this type of garbage to go on in the App Store.

Has Potential - EDITED. I bought this game, as I love animals and dinosaurs. I thought it would be beautiful pictures and detailed explanations of the dinosaurs. Only to open the app to find, "Become a palaeontologist to have access to full content!" after about 5 dinosaurs. But that's not the big issue. I was like "Ok, guess I will just get this too." But of course there had to be an issue with THAT. All I see is "..." and "Restore Purchase". I'll wait until tomorrow to see if this is fixed. If not, this app is going extinct on my phone. EDIT: The update you released is working great! I now don’t see the “For the full version” button. All I see is a lot of dinosaurs! Rating from two stars to 5 stars.

Amazing. This is my go to app for anything dinosaur or prehistoric related though my only issue is that there is a bug and whenever I try to click on the dinosaurs tab the app closes out I have tried everything and I can’t enter the Dinosaur section.

SCAMMED !. I purchased this app because my daughter and I were reeled in by the AR feature. Everything went smoothly, until they had my money… Once I paid for it, I received a popup alerting me that my iPad is incompatible with augmented reality. That is not OK, I actually feel like I’ve been scammed !! I’ve played AR games on my IPad before.

Content No Longer Free. I use to love this app, but after the “big update” there is a subscription to pay?? Most of the content was free except for the directory and marine reptiles. Now I have to pay for content I was able to see and use before the update? I don’t understand. Very disappointed. All I have access now are just dinosaurs and AR, goodbye pterosaurs, anatomy, paleontologist, and other features that were free and no longer are.

Great. This app is great! But it needs more dinosaurs, or dinosaur Vs dinosaur thing, so for example so many questions are, Spinosaurus VS Tyrannosaurus and the Advantages and disadvantages and who you think would win, anyways great app!!!

Awesome educational and graphical experience. You can tell that these guys know what they're doing. This app is beautifully designed, really educational, and is wholeheartedly recommend it. The illustrations and graphic design are outstanding, and the attention to detail is top notch. My only constructive criticism might be to play around with the menus and UI to make it a bit more logical and straightforward. But a very minor issue and definitely doesn't affect the experience!

Kids loved the AR functions. Fantastic app. Keeps the kids entertained in random places - makes bushwalking a Jurassic adventure. I still couldn’t get the AI Darwin function to work. Maybe it’s not working in this version yet?

An app worth having. I am genuinely happy to have picked up this app. Even after reading hours worth of material for work, I still look forward to opening this app and reading up on a few dinosaurs. I’ve passed my phone to people in my lab to show them the AR function and had them walk away with my phone as they get lost in the other features.

Not finished. Could be a cool and interesting app for all dinosaur lovers. But the text sections don't seem to be finished. Also could use an index for the different dinosaurs in it. As it is right now you have to go page by page. There are better dinosaur apps in the App Store.

Great app for dino enthusiasts. I’ve enjoyed using this app for years - the artwork is first class. I had some problems with the recent upgrade, but, the staff was very responsive and helpful. Even though they’ve moved to a subscription model, “old” customers can still get the upgrade (remember to restore purchases). Recommended.

Greatest Dino app!!. Great app for dinosaur enthusiasts with awesome illustrations and lots of Dino info. I would like to see some new dinosaurs added at some point.

Starts but nothing happens.. Seems to start, just get a screen of dinosaurs. The app name on the phone is not the same as the app name in the store. The image on the button is also not the same. Makes it difficult to find the app if you installed the game a while ago.

Ok. If your willing to spend 3$ for the in app purchase to unlock everything, then it looks like a pretty good app.

Needs improvement!. The upgraded feature needs to include all dinosaurs A-Z across all time lines. Full body pictures are more appreciated than head shots and pictures of just a nest of hatchlings (majungasaurus). Once these improvements are made then I will give 5 stars.

Unable to mute sound. Great looking app. However the only way to turn off sound is with device volume settings. This issue was flagged 5 years ago and has still not been fixed.

Good Dinosaur Resource. This is a wonderful app; it’s comprehensive, well-researched, organized, and nicely illustrated. I haven’t had any issues with running or navigating the app so far, and feel that it was well worth the few dollars it cost to have access to all of the features it offers. Unfortunately I’m not able to use the AR function on my older iPad, but I have tested it out on my iPhone and found it to be excellent. The illustrations look great on both screens, and it’s easy to use regardless of device size. The included stickers are cute, and a nice bonus. The only concern I have is that I haven’t been able to find a way to mute the background noise within the app, which is a must-have for me. I’ve tried emailing the developers at the address provided on their website and in the app, but so far have been receiving a message that the address is unavailable. For these reasons I gave the app four stars rather than five, but would happily change my rating with this addressed.

Amazing app. Great app, lots of cool Dino’s I’ve never heard of before, an abundance of information. I wish it was a little easier for my six year old to navigate but she’s enjoying it.

Great but has some bugs. My little boy is OBSESSED with dinosaurs and loves learning new dinosaurs. This is his favorite app to look at. Very detailed pictures and so fun for even young kids. But there are bugs that make it frustrating to navigate. You can only scroll through the dinosaurs in order. It doesn't work to search and click on certain dinosaurs. Makes it frustrating when he wants to see his favorite ones.

why?. i enjoyed the first "5 dinosaurs" until the part until it says i have to buy or repurchase it until i can continue look at it. i don't think that will be good even though i loved the layout you made and the drawings you did it was great but still i don't think it was worth paying for it. Well done. This app is beautiful. The interface gets out of the way of the artwork and the use of sound and motion make the prices engaging. It's also quite educational. I think it's great for young and old.

AR Glitchy. The most fun thing about this App should be the AR, but it’s difficult to navigate.

Review. I'm a paleontology major and this app helps out a lot. This app keeps me updated with the latest news of dinosaurs and the brief summaries of the dinosaurs they have are very easy to read and understand. In addition, the app is very educational to children especially understanding the very basics of dinosaurs and how fossils are preserved for millions of years.

Great app. If you like learning about dinosaurs this app is a fun way to do it. I was a little frustrated at first until I figured out that you have to move the device to see the pictures rather than scrolling with your finger.

Captured the imagination. Absolutely beautiful pictures of these incredible animals. It really shows (through some artistic speculation of course) the progression from dinosaur to avian. I wish there was more information in the discovery area, but it just breathtaking to scroll through the illustrations. I love having the dynamic pictures as well. Great app. Hopefully the artist will continue to add to it.

Beautiful and educational. This app looks fantastic. The art is very high quality and the gyroscope viewing worked really well when you open the app. This is packed full of beautiful art as well as a ton of information that will get any dinosaur lover closer to the world of dinosaurs. I think this is great for a bunch of ages and all the learning that comes with it just makes this app perfect.

Pay to play. While it may seem cool everything but a couple Dino’s you have to pay for. Do not buy this game unless you want to pay for it

No longer free!. Loved the app, even purchased the marine reptiles expansion. But with new update need MONTHLY subscription to see anything it has to offer. Deleting immediately. What a shame

Good job!!!!. This app is fantastic. The interface gets out of the way of the artwork and the use of sound and motion make the prices engaging. It's also quite educational. I think it's great for young and old....

One of the best Dinosaur IOS apps!. This app is one of the easiest to access learning centers for anyone who wants to learn of paleontology. It's easy to understand, making for a user-friendly experience, not to mention the fantastic artwork. Whatever this app decides to do, they have my support! Keep bringing more awesome dinos for us fans!

beautiful. the app is beautifully drawn with a plethora of interesting descriptions about all the dinosaurs you might think of. The only thing i didn't enjoy was moving the background using the gyro, but that's a personal thing. For everything else i have to commend the developers for the wonderful job they have done

Amazing. This is amazing artwork, ...however I don’t think that dinosaurs sounded like Godzilla...

Awesome but needs some improvements. This is the best app to know about dinosaurs and the visuals and sound effects are breath taking. Even the pelientologist pack is worth getting. But when I got the pelientologist pack, i had access to everything except how to draw a dinosaur. Appersin please help me. I really want that feature in my app. And if you have an older device; like the one i have an iPhone 4; you cannot get any updates so im missing out on the new dinosaurs and posters. Appersian please do something about this.

Omg. It is a great app for kids

What little is free is fun but most is $$$. Advertised as free today but what’s free is not worth the 1/4 gig of space/download it eats. Pretty images and nice info but not worth it unless you want to pay $3.

You Fixed It!!!. This app is beautiful, not to mention now you have pterosaurs, the art, the layout, it's amazing. Last update added a crash glitch to where it wouldn't open, but that was the quickest bug fix yet!!!!
