Love this app!. Really fun, no pesky timer, but challenging. Necessary to pay careful attention to spelling and verb tenses.

Doesn't Function Properly. Keyboard screws up. Tried to tap a letter and the one on each side of it works, but not the one you want! So disappointing. I'm an ESL teacher and wanted to use it for my students. This got so bad, I started to think that the game deliberately blocked letters as you used them. Very, very disappointing.

Game keeps crashing. Game keeps crashing please fix it I would love to play it.

Great Game, but needs some tweaking. Would not let me correct letters that were inadvertently put in by accident. Kept going back to that letter. And it wouldn't let me use the backspace to correct it.

Good, Challenging App. This app requires a good, general knowledge of various topic areas, grammar, and spelling. Spelling is somewhat challenging as some words are spelled with a British spelling, rather than American.

Love. Absolutely love this app. So glad I have it. It makes u think so hard and your trying to figure what the words is, and of course ur mind is blank or has the word jumbled up.

Addicting little Game. Very addicting...I keep playing this game...it is not as easy as it looks, but I still cannot stop playing it! Arcade mode is even better...goodbye words with friends, hello Mind the Gap

Fill-in-the-blank fun. This is a good text game for the geeky set. You complete partial words in a paragraph. It's fun if you are really a fan of the written word.

Word play and FUN. Not only does one have FUN with the words, this entire app is educational on so many levels. Hoping that more categories are created so that I can learn more....thank you for a well created app.

Bad keyboard. Seems kind of simplistic anyhow, but with a badly implemented keyboard it's impossible to play. Please fix, and up the difficulty a bit.

Fun to play but doesn't work reliably. I really enjoy playing this game. I like to challenge myself intellectually and this fits the bill. At least, it does when it works right. Many times the keyboard doesn't appear and I have to completely close the program and restart it. I tried reloading the program from the web but that didn't help. I hope they get it fixed because I enjoy playing it, when it works.

Fun. More challenging than you might think. The app commands aren't entirely intuitive, but you can figure them out.

Makes Learning Fun (even for old Fogies). A fascinating game affording joyful eustress in enabling improvement of knowledge, vocabulary and, of course, spelling. For adults as well. I'm looking forward to learning new information in a variety of areas. Truly stimulates the synapses. Thank you!

Good app. Love the app, however, the keyboard hardly ever appears. Would rate as a 5 star if I could get the keyboard to work. I usually have to uninstall and rest all to get it to work. Not good.

Doesn't work on my iPad. Downloaded to my iPad and ran it. Only the text displays; the area for the keyboard does not. So, can't enter answers. Tried rebooting and it didn't help. When I tried "app support", I got a bunch of ads for upcoming games.

Delightfully different approach to word play. This is an entertaining and challenging way to play with words. You are given a passage on a specific subject and challenged to fill in missing word fragments based only on the context. My only small quibble is when what is missing is part of the name of an individual. At that point, you really have to guess. But I am really enjoying this app a great deal.

Excellent teaching App and fun game. As a veteran ESL educator with experience in different parts of the world, I was really happy to finally discover a tool that could help students go beyond the colloquial everyday English conversation and get deeper into text understanding, idiomatic expressions, or simply higher level lexicon. The app is easy to use, but teaches quite complex skills which could put to the test many native English speakers. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to better their reading, writing and general knowledge of the language in various areas of life, as well as all English proficiency test takers and even American students who are preparing for an SAT exam.

Please help!!!!!. I just got this and when I try to start playing it, all of a sudden it just closes completely! I really am disappointed and would like to actually love to try out this app, but it has repeatedly closed out more than 4 times. I tried turning off my iPad and trying it again, but it still didn't work. I also tried reinstalling it again which didn't work either. : ( Please let me know what I can do. I'll do another review with a glowing five stars if you can please help this to work for me! Thanks guys!

Keeps the brain sharp!. Love this app! Easy to use and many challenges.

Great word puzzler, and brain builder. Cloze passages as used on some intelligence tests. I've seen this type of thing on law enforcement tests, and other places. Challenging enough and a good use of time. And now I've noticed the "arcade" mode, which is a sped up version using semi well known quotes and phrases. Pretty difficult and interesting. What they've done here, the originality and the usefulness to teachers and students and those interested in word games... Worth 5 stars so far.

Great App!. I really like this App!

Addictive & informative. I've addressed the puzzle now for about 3months on a daily basis. It is now habit to mind the gap every day at elevenses. The set is quick, stretches the knowledge and imagination at each level of the paragraph. I did run into one glitch which I reported and got a nearly immediate response and a solution. I don't think this app is good for children because it asks for and provides information which I think is more in the range of young and older adults. I would strongly recommend the app for that demographic.

Quits on iOS 6.1.3. Review by Starshooter has it right - I wasn't able to play it, but it looks great :(. I had to delete it because it would force close a few seconds after opening, every time. Lasts long enough to see the menu screen with categories. This is a first for me... I've never had this problem with any other app (& I've had 100's!). Restarting device did not help. I would love the chance to try the game. Please fix, and I'll revise my rating! Still using iOS 6.1.3 on an iPod 5

Fun. Good app. Only advice is non-UK players, remember that this app will use UK spelling (centre vs center, etc).

So Sad!!. Would love to play, but it keeps crashing. I can USUALLY pick a category, then when I pick a Topic, it closes!! Please fix!! Will readjust rating if and when fixed!

Don't Buy...YET. I played without any problems the first time I opened this and liked it a lot. However, the second time I had the keyboard problem that so many people are referring to in these reviews. Hope it's fixed soon. I'll be delighted to provide a good review at that time. I'm using a new and updated iPhone.

Addicting and educational!. This "game" is simple, fun, and informative. The app provides a plethora of categories and topics to suit any interest. I highly recommend it for anyone that enjoys word puzzles and brain challenges. As a middle school teacher, my one request is that the company make a version suitable for younger children or adolescents, as the app would be exceptional for building reading skills, if only the vocabulary and context of this app were within the reach of my 6th grade students.

Marks bud. Great fun Mentally intriguing

Refreshing twist on standard "fill in the blanks". This is a very clever and deceivingly challenging app that helps you practice grammar, reading for meaning, using contextual clues and a few other important language skills. But you don't really feel like it's educational - you're just having fun. It isn't until after a few tries that you realize it's helping you work out your brain. In fact, it's much better than many of these so-called brain-building apps that are everywhere now. What a feelIng of accomplishment when you get 100% on any given paragraph (and the 100s are hard to come by). My heartfelt congratulations to these developers - you've got a real winner here!

Spelling. Spelling of words for a program teaching English with a picture of the British flag in its icon should not use American spelling of English words! Color is spelled colour correctly if it’s English. And no I am not from England, however that is where the English language is from, so if education is important in a program there should be at least some way to spell the words both ways.

Really good brain food!. This is not quite the simple challenge you might take it for, lol! Interesting change from the usual word game and very enjoyable.

Nothing too exciting. And selections are from a specific point of view. One starts to feel like there is an agenda behind the specific selections. Kind of a turn off for me, but maybe someone else’s point of view. I little too easy though. The words are obvious. Especially the shear quantity of filling out “and” “the” “in”. Not too stimulating.

Love this😝. If your into word games and such, you'll love this. It sharpens your English and grammar skills while being fun at the same time. This is also an excellent app for anyone learning English as a second language.

Great app. This app is great! Gets the old brain working. It is good for English speaking people as well as people learning the English language.

Simple, smart and satisfying!. I love the arcade challenge! It makes me laugh when I fill out the gaps incorrectly and the phrase takes on a new and quirky meaning. English is my first language and I still find the games to be challenging. A big bonus is I keep learning new things and/or refreshing my memory on subjects that I studied in the past. I love being rewarded with delightful applause and fireworks for a perfect score!

Glitchy or what?!. I love games of vocabulary and spelling. I was enjoying this for a very short while until the game wouldn’t allow me to spell some words like ‘atom’ correctly and it kept changing it to ‘aton’. I tried 4 times and carefully tapped the letter m. But to no avail. Similar glitches were present on other pages. ( as the page on Mona Lisa) So perhaps I do not completely understand the rules?! Why doesn’t the system allow me to spell such a word correctly?! I would be happy to change my rating if there were an explanation for this issue.

Not as advertised. How can it improve one's English and vocabulary when many of the gaps are simple words like "to", "the", "of". Or peoples first or last names. Or repeating something childish obvious, for example in the Lincoln story filling in the gap for Lincoln.
