BJ’s Mobile App Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Frustrating. I use this app at least once a month so I am fairly familiar with it. The transitions are slow and I always forget how to find the "customizations". You have to touch the + sign in order to see the options. I wish they would just show them without the extra need to touch the +. The automatic application of the tip is annoying when I am doing Carry out. I had adjusted the tip but then the page reloaded and I didn't notice it had reset the tip again to 18% for carry out. My bad for not noticing it. I will have them adjust it at pick up. So it's not un-usable but frustrating. They have improved the payment a lot

Has flaws. The default for “Order Ahead” is “Dine in” - which means that you place your order ahead of time and they don’t start the order until you sit down. I understand that innovative, but who really wants that? How is that value-added? And if you are ordering “to go” and miss the fact that it shows dine in, they don’t start your to go order until you get there. BJ’s - look at the data and see what the app is used most for and make that the default! As well, the rewards system automatically generates a $10 coupon after every 100 points. Then it expires randomly after that. The coupons are not automatically applied - even when you use the app, so the coupons just keep on expiring because they are not applied. The app just needs some user-intervention review to improve.

Rewards cheated customer. You’re reward program is the worst ever! You either cheat your customers in points and rewards and even though I keep notifying the front of my reservation ahead they are too lazy or don’t care if you will show up or not and secondly I keep telling them that I will be redeeming my points for discount they told me to remind the server, which I did but never got it. There a case also that they told me the lunch that day will earn point but never did, this is the second time, when I check my app I cannot add my point because the date is not working please don’t give your customers false hope your app are the worst don’t offer it! I am giving you one star for being nice, but most of all fix your system!

5 stars for functionality, 3 stars for UX. I’d give this a 4 star but in reality the BJs app ecosystem is quite nice. The fact that you can check in online and have your check on your device without having to put in any extra work is fantastic. This app could go through another UX pass, but overall it does a fantastic job in its core purpose. Also the BJs beer club is a fantastic value. Love this place, the quality food, and the value is great if you seek it out!

Great food, great service & the app to match!. I love BJ’s Brewhouse & despite some of the other reviews, I have to disagree. So far so good on my end. My waiter actually turned me on to it & I got a free pizookie. It’s been nothing but beneficial & I’ve had no glitches. The very next visit I saved $10! Plus you can pay at the table even w/a credit card, sign your receipt & have it emailed to you! LOVE THAT! Time is money & I take time away from my life to earn my money so why waste it or give it away when I can save it by simply downloading an app. I love beneficial apps. You guys can crush candy....I’m going to save time & money! #bjsbrewhouse

Not worth using - Waitlist function is bogus. I have had used the BJs app for about 4yrs. It was great for placing to go orders and useful for getting on the waitlist until tonight. I put our name on the waitlist tonight via the app and it said 35-45 min wait and said to let them know when we arrived. It said nothing about he wait not counting unless we were here. We got here after 30min and the hostess said the waitlist function doesn’t count you until you arrive. What is the point of the function of you have to check in with the hostess before the wait starts. That is a useless and misleading feature. If we had known this we would have come directly here and checked in. Now the wait starts. Don’t bother with the app unless you are using it for placing to go orders.

Shameful app (unlike BJ’s other good). Lame and unresponsive BJ’s app developer, does injustice to the good work that the local BJ’s location manager does, and the great service that the local staff does to serve customers here. This app is lame and does not work intuitively, and is not designed to make it intuitive or easy for the customer to navigate and follow. Instead it makes the customer work to figure the crazy app functionality, likely designed and further “developed” by some junior novice with some “senior” manager signing off to approve this lame functioning app. It’s a shame to present this app in relation to BJ’s Brewhouse and restaurant managers and staff who really try hard to provide good service that is worth a tip (gratuity), so unlike this lame and relatively disgraceful app.

Lost all my points. I signed up visited another time and had accumulated 60 points. The next time I spent over 60 dollars on lunch. The app failed and wouldn’t let me input the correct date or table number and by the end of the day I went from what should have been 120 points to a big fat Zero!! The bartender tried to show me how to use to app and I was insulted because he tried to blame me even though he couldn’t figure it out either. Nobody that works here knows how to use the app including the manager on site. The next time i was eating lunch with a friend put in the table number and I got his bill on my app. Also would not let me change to the current date. Many flaws!! I’m not going to cry over a free cookie but this app does not work. Workers don’t know how to use it. I’m sorry i signed up and gave my information out. Save yourself a headache and pay full price!!

Finally the mobile app works on iOS. Previously I either had to call or to use my PC. Now the mobile app is working great and is obviously much more convenient for simple things like ordering lunch. BJ’s has always been great, the food has been fantastic and the prices aren’t bad especially when you join their frequent diner club and enjoy the rewards they offer. Now with an app that works and seemingly better service with take out orders that are correct 100% of the time they get five stars!

Great experience!. I dine at BJs Brewhouse in Laurel, Maryland. The food has always been A+ for me. I usually get the Salmon w spinach and quinoa dish. I can’t stay away from the Honey Siracha Brussels Sprouts either. I find myself ordering two at a time for take out. My friends dined out with me the other day and their steak and mashed potatoes looked 😛😬😋. I’m hooked on BJs. Not sure who the cooks are but they winners for sure. Oh and the bar ambiance is beautiful- nicely decorated. The light skinned manager might need a little training though...when I told him how much we love the food he said “thanks” and walked away. I guess he was having a bad day 🤔 but I never been to a restaurant where the manager wasn’t overjoyed to hear a customer say how much they loved the food! Anyway, the food is a 10 👍🏽 and my only regret is that they don’t do Uber Eats yet 😩.

Delivery Time Issue. At first kept telling me to enter a time and since it was 4:45 went with 5:30. It kept bouncing back and not letting me enter a time even when I used 6 pm. Then when the order was completed at 5:05 pm I thought it odd that the app gave me an estimated delivery time of 1/2 hour away at 5:30-5:45 but went with it. At 6pm called and found out that the app put in the order for the next day at that time. This was all very frustrating because we had just returned from an international trip, had no idea what day it was and were very hungry. Then at 7pm got a call that the flatbread had been left out of our order and it would take longer. Our food arrived cold but not long after 7.

Bug fixes. I enjoy the app a lot but I am always having issues with it. December 12 i went to Bj’s and went to add my points but the restaurant location part in the add points was not working. I went last night December 14 and had a great time with my friends but when i went to add my points it would not let me choose the 14 as the date. I had to wait till the next day to try and add my points and now it says it will not add the points until they are confirmed. I normally do not complain about anything but the app not working and not being able to add my points really gets on my nerves. I am writing this review not because I am upset but because I want to make aware the app creators that there are still many fixes to make the app even better so that more people will download and be able to use it without complaints. Thank you.

Gift Cards are a hassle. My friends and I frequent BJs often and took advantage of their Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal on gift cards. The e-gift cards have been a major pain. There is no option to load and store the funds via the app (Why? I have no idea!), so we have to enter the gift card number and pin every time. The last visit, I had plenty of fund left on the card but the app would let me leave a tip. After ten mins of trying, our bartender opted to take my phone and try via the register. Add to that, we couldn’t use the cards when placing a curbside order. We have to go inside to pick up the food and pay. First world problem, I know - but when other restaurants have figured it out and set a standard, it makes BJs “the last kid picked for dodgeball.” Why so many hurdles to use their gift card?? No need to re-create the wheel BJs. Other restaurant apps are simpler, efficient, and user friendly (eg Starbucks). Follow their lead!

First Time App User. I ordered my food online for dine-in and because there were no other patrons, we were seated immediately. I couldn’t recall if I ordered a large pizza and the manager was kind enough to look up the information for me. When we finished with our meal, I asked the waitress if I could add a dessert item to our order and she said no problem. Why I looked at my online order payment, all of the items we ordered online and at the restaurant were already listed. The system also showed the 18% gratuity service fee. Paying for the meal was quick and easy. The only thing I wish I could do was look at the items I had already ordered once I submitted the order.

Wasn’t what I was thinking, but the taste & texture was fight on.. I never heard of BJ’s BrewHouse until yesterday. Since we’’re all in separate quarantine I thought I’d pick up a lrg pie & drop pieces off w/ family so I got the lrg deep dish BJ’s special. Ordered & paid in advance online through the app. Everything was great. My only complaint is that w/o a receipt U can’t add rewards even though U paid through the app. & I didn’t get a receipt. So more of a tech issue. I will be dining/carry out w/ them again & same w/ my brother & parents, even though we're in quarantine we all enjoyed the pie. Thx I look forward to future dining experiences. StaySafe

App isn’t working properly. There is some weird issue in the application when I’m trying to login or when I downloaded and opened the application it says on that string date cannot be converted When I’m trying to login as a guest the previous error keeps popping up it is very annoying When I try to select the location of the restaurant it doesn’t let me select and it also doesn’t let me find the nearest restaurant which is like .6 miles from my house I was also not able to open the menu properly and not able to login I would highly recommend please look into this issue and please try to resolve this thank you

NO SERVICE. I placed an order on the app for pickup. I went to the restaurant a few minutes before pickup time and all of the employees were doing everything except trying to help. It took 10 minutes for me to receive service. When someone finally spoke to me, I was told they had NO orders at the time. Even after showing them my order confirmation number, the order receipt, and showing them I was in the right location, they continued telling me that had no orders. After saying they would make the order, I was then left to sit around for 35 minutes with nothing. Still have not received my food but I am going to void the order because this is ridiculous.

Love the app and the restaurant. Okay.... to those of you who had a bad experience at the restaurant, don’t blame the app, also to those of you who have shared your bad experiences....most of you said you had good experiences. Did you take time to review those as well? The Temple, Tx location never disappoints. Tonight I will say my server was a little busy, so I chose to pay on the app. First time paying that way. Super easy. The app is easy to navigate. Great job!

DG. I tried to claim my free reward by placing an app order for takeout. I spent 45 minutes or longer trying to finalize my order because it kept coming back as unable to process due to chosen menu item was unavailable. I kept editing trying to figure it out when I received noticed that my credit card was charged so I called in to verify if my order was placed without notification of completion. Well, the order didn’t go through but Joshua was very helpful in taking my order. However, I am still concerned about why my cc was charged. Manager didn’t do anything but offer to take my name and number to see what happened so I’m playing the waiting game for $1. Lol. Not very happy with the managers choice of action but oh well it is what it is! Please reward your team members deserving of recognition for excellence in service!! Joshua and Alexandria both assets to you team!!

Epic fail mobile app order. Around 9am on a Saturday, I used BJ’s mobile app to submit a large order for same day pick up by 4pm. Received success confirmation on app and an email confirmation. Called restaurant around 11am to confirm order is in. Person advised MOBILE ORDER NOT RECEIVED IN THEIR SYSTEM, that orders do not hit their system until approx 30 to 45 min prior to desired pickup time (this is apparently MISINFORMATION) and to call back later. Called back at 2ish in hopes they received the order and spoke to the same person who advised me to call back at 3:30pm. When I called at 3:30pm, a different person recognized no order found is an issue and properly escalated to the manager. Manager advised MOBILE ORDER WOULD hit their system immediately upon submission so something went awry with the mobile app order. MAJOR BUG IN THE APP. In the end, the restaurant took my order over the phone and made it right. But ZERO STARS FOR THE APP!!!!!

Great food. We have always had good food here. One of our favorite places to eat. Had bad service once and spoke with the server about it hoping to resolve it with her and move on. She only became worse and then we mentioned it to manager on the way out. They were accommodating and we have been back many times since then and great service. Having a bad day is not an excuse for treating customers badly. Thank you for taking care of the problem and appreciating your customers!

App is terrible. This app has issues with payments. It will occasionally charge your card twice and when you get to the store and inform a manager, they tell you that they can’t find a double charge in their system. This happened to me 4 times and Bjs refuses to pay. After so many disputes with your bank you begin to look shady to them. The app is terrible but the way management handles the situation is even worse. They really make it seem like you’re the one pulling a scam. Or maybe that’s just because I’m black and I don’t seem as important. Either way terrible customer service but the food is always great.

Location service required to pay check??? I don’t think so!. While I concede that enabling location services is a great way for some to make the experience more convenient, there are others who don’t like having their location used at every turn. This app already asks which location is used most frequently by the user. I think it would be very simple to default to that location, but give the user the ability to choose another when paying their check. Other than that, the app is decent and well designed, although out of date on occasion.

APP still needs work. When placing an order today for shrimp scampi, the site stated that my local BJ’s was out of spaghetti (of all things) for the scampi so I had to choose a different pasta, so I did. When I tried to check out on the APP, it said that spaghetti wasn’t available for the scampi and I had to get something different, even when you look at the order and it showed shrimp scampi with fettuccine pasta. So, I had to change my order. I would appear to be a simple fix to me, but, I’m not a relational database programmer.

Horrible app. This is the WORST app. I put items in the cart, go to check out, it says ‘error, need a valid phone number’. I put in the phone number, it says ‘success, phone number saved’, sends me back to checkout, when I try to check out, the whole things starts again. I must have put in my phone number 20 times before it finally went through. I have no idea what made it go through, I did nothing different. And no one at the restaurant can help you with the app. And you can only order delivery through the app. This is why we haven’t ordered from BJs since the COVID shutdown a year ago. And this will be the one and only time we do it. If it weren’t my son’s birthday, I would have abandoned it.

Awful. Always have had a mediocre experience dining in at BJ's and with carry out and to go orders. Decided to give them another chance as they've been marketing themselves heavily with the new app and delivery service. Waited several months to give it a try in case there were kinks they needed to work out. Tried it tonight with a simple order of two side salads, a baked potato and a pasta dish. Easy right? For delivery? Two hours go by and I decide to call. Met with a phone tree of frustration so had to attempt the call several times to get a live person. Long story short, food had been ready for some time. I asked to cancel it as it was probably cold. Was told "yes, it WILL be a LITTLE cold when you get it." Told them to cancel it. Asked if I could hold...18 minutes later on hold time. Told my order was in the process of being cancelled and asked for me to wait longer for a manger. Why? Seriously why??? Never again will I ever eat or entertain the idea of eating at this restaurant. Good luck keeping business and staying in business.

Sunday tradition. Every Sunday my daughter and I drive here from Edmond for a pizookie. It may be the only time in our crazy hectic weeks to connect and touch base. It’s so special to us because our entire extended family come here so often because this place can accommodate anybody!! Always a chill atmosphere Always outstanding service Always an amazing menu. I try everything and have never been disappointed. Their pizza is, hands down, everyone’s favorite and , of course, the aforementioned pizookie.

Promo Codes don’t work &. You can’t select more that one option. For example, you can’t select sour creme & green onions to a baked potato, where as you can select both through the online website. They automatically default to an 18% tip even when you order for pick up. If you change the amount and leave the page, when you come back, it automatically defaults back to the 18% tip. I get it, but at the same time I don’t. The acronym for TIPS stands for “To Insure Prompt Service” I like to receive prompt service before I default to giving them a $7 tip.

Customer service!?. No way to contact customer service? I ordered food on app yesterday for takeout. Picked up pizza and didn’t realize I did t get a receipt. Although I ordered through my signed in account so thought points would be automatically added like the day prior when I ordered at same location! Went to do missing point form without receipt which you can do and when I hit submit it tells me Shiite a valid location from drop list. Well I did 🤬.

App is pointless. The *idea* of the app is great - check in online, order food so it is ready, wonderful! The problem is in the execution. First, we have a large family - 6 kids under 10. We have never been able to reserve seating ahead of time because we are a party of 8 and the app only allows reservations up to a party of 6. I have to believe larger parties frequent the restaurant enough for this to be a frustration. However, with the newest update, you can order your food through the app (even for larger parties!!), it tells you when to show up, and you are seated with food prepared for you more quickly. So... our party of 10 (we had two guests with us) ordered the food, waited at home for 15 minutes before driving to the restaurant and we showed up exactly at our “time given.” Unfortunately, because our party was larger than 6, the restaurant was never notified. So we had an *additional* wait of 45 minutes. Ok, so we finally sit down and this is the part where our food should come out more quickly because we ordered through the app. Nope. It still took 20+ minutes for food to arrive. Meanwhile, I see signs throughout the restaurant touting how easy having the app makes dining. If you want to make it easy, allow for bigger parties to reserve a table, actually communicate to the restaurant even when said larger parties order, and for goodness sakes, if you give a time to show up at the restaurant, follow through!

Issues in the kitchen. Had few good experiences at the Nanuet location and kept coming back. Our last visit was not great. The kitchen messed up 3 out of 3 orders. 2 orders were messed up pretty bad (no cheese orders came with cheese), 1 order messed up a little (some items that were suposed to be on the plate were missing). The server, a very nice and pleasant person, was visibly embarrased and mentioned that the kitchen person was new. Not a great reflection on the management which did not even attempt to apologize for the mess-up. Will think twice before coming here again.

Vegetarian - Vegan options symbols needed throughout the menu. To the development team and BJs executive leadership, The overall ease-of-use and navigating throughout the application is good. There is definitely opportunity for specifying vegetarian and vegan options throughout the menu. Many of your competitors will put a symbol by each menu item outlining which items fall into that field or having a sub menu of these items. Was also hoping to see the beyond burger at your establishment as I travel frequently and unfortunately have to go to your competitors since you do not offer this. Thanks looking forward to future updates.

Paid but never got order. I used the app to order a pizza for pickup. The order was never placed when I got there and was told I would need to repay $17 for them to make the pizza. My receipt is on my phone but they still was unable to help. I was told it’s common when you use your rewards the orders don’t go through the system. I left the store without a refund or a pizza. An hour and a half later I get a call from a store 30 minutes away saying they had received my order which I could not figure out how they did. The girl said if one store is busy it goes to the next store. I told her I had already ate by that time and she said she would talk to her manager and then put me on hold and hung up. No one ever called me back. I was never refunded. Called corporate because now I’ve wasted a reward in addition to money. Was sent to voicemail of someone who should have been able to call and no returned call 3 days later. Super disappointed.

Rough start and missing important feature. The app wouldn't let me create an account. It said something was wrong with a require field but I couldn't figure out what. I went to your web site to create and account then returned to the app to log in. The app is missing some pretty important features. The app would let me paste my credit card number. Major fail. Also, why can't I put in gift cards. I had to walk all the way to the front of the restaurant to scan the gift card from my phone then return to my seat and pay the balance to the server. Not a good experience. I think I should have been able to do all that in the app from my table.

Pre-Ordering Issues. Got some technical issues. App used to work great, but past 3 times we've come when doing order ahead it hasn't gone through and have had to reorder, wait for food, and then have issues getting it tied to rewards account. Old app used to work great, major growing pains however so we don't come to BJs as often because of that. Help out, let us know when the system is fixed, and we'll be back. Thanks for listening and hope it makes a difference. Glad to update this review when all is back in order.

BJ’s is the most in tune chain restaurant. I frequent several chain restaurants and BJ’s has not only a great menu and in dining service but but it offers a very efficient Takeout service that has its own separate door and curbside service parking, so you don’t have to compete with the in dining customers. It also provides a unique WiFi app that allows you to pay at your table - including Apple Pay, PayPal and other Major Credit Cards. Very Cool, easy and fast. We love the servers, they seem to be longer term employees - and I think BJ’s is way ahead of the other chain restaurants on where the In-diners and Take-Out customers expect from restaurants today.

BJs Brewhouse Millenia, Orlando Fl - Joshua L. I frequent this establishment often, whether sitting at the bar or seated with a table full of clients in the dining room I’ve noticed one employee definitely standing out, Joshua L. He seems to always enjoy his job if it’s bartending, serving or managing and gives consistent quality service, attentive to what’s going on with customers needs and makes this venue a definite 5 star if your in Orlando, especially if you are able to request Josh or if he is in the house.

Good Concept; Big Bugs to Fix. It seems like the rewards program for BJ’s is pretty decent as far as rewards programs go. The reason for such a low rating is the fact that their system for claiming points seems pretty buggy. There have now been two occasions that I have tried to claim points by entering the info I have on my receipt and both times I have been given a screen saying “Receipt Not Found”. I’ve waited and tried imputing it at a later time to see if it was a processing thing, but to the same result. Again, the system for rewards seems pretty good, but it seems pointless to use a rewards program when you are unable to actually claim points for your purchases.

App is disappointing for beer club members. Got the app to track rewards and then joined the beer club. A great deal if you use the rewards. However using the app to actually use the rewards is very frustrating - especially if you have gift cards. Have tried to place orders for multiple times and the app glitches for payment when using gift cards and accrued rewards together. FWIW the restaurant also has a difficult time redeeming rewards and gift cards together. Would be a nice addition to be able to post gift cards to the app so they could all be in one spot.

Change E-Mail. Would give a 5 but app is poorly supported. I can’t even change my E-Mail. System lets me do it online but apparently there is a disconnect between what online does; new E-Mail associated with my account does not propagate to the app. I would still had to log in using my old E-Mail address: terrible security vulnerability. I would give a 1 if it were not for my ability to use Apple Pay; coupled with not being able to change the E-Mail address, especially if it were compromised, I would worry if I had to save a credit card on their servers associate with an E-Mail address I cannot change. Been a month since I reached out to BJs. No response. Awful …

Great. I eat at bjs all the time. The service is always friendly and fast. I think the food is well prepared and good quality. The prices are great for the quality of the food. My family and I always stop if we’re near a bjs. The restaurant is always clean and so are the staffs uniforms. I know that sounds silly but so many restaurants are dirty and the staffs uniforms are stained and not presentable. I think if people leave a bad review it’s probably just a one time incident.

Problematic. I would love to give this app more stars because I love their food but I have had problems with ordering on here 3 times in 3 months. 2 times it processed it for the next day, this time they were able to complete my order but they gave me boneless wings instead of bone-in 😕. The other time it charged me and then said my order didn’t go through. So I did it again and was charged twice for one order. Over a week of trying to get my money back I spoke with 3 different managers and only one actually looked into it it seems. I did get my money back eventually but no one called me to follow up, I just happened to see it in my bank account.

Stole my money. I started ordering my food through the app and it keep glitching it finally let me get to the payment process took my information and confirmed the order. I went to check my bank and the money for my order was taken out. I went back to the app to see when my food would be ready and it had reset the order. I called up to the restaurant and they said they didn’t have an order for me. I said I had been charged and so she looked again she asked for my number and said they would call when they get it? How about asking what I had and having me come up there. Nope offered no solution or help. Very disappointed

App Double Charges Apple Pay. I'm giving the app two stars because it does allow you to order the food. The main issue though, I use Apple Pay and at least three times now the app double charges my credit card. Support through the app doesn't seem very responsive, which means I end up having to go through my credit card company and dispute the charge. they typically reverse it pretty quickly because you can see the same amount charged by the same vendor on the same day. But it's a bit annoying that this happens. Not sure if it's even legal for a merchant to double charge?

Was much better. The app was fine until a few weeks ago. Occasional crashes but it worked for what I needed. With the new update you only have the option to pay by credit card or PayPal which is horrible. I wanted to use a gift card to place a to go order. So instead of using the app I had to call and bother the to go girl to take down my order. Of course there is only one counter girl so she is extremely busy. I can only imagine how many calls she is going to have to field now for people who don’t want to pay through the app. They need to bring back the pay at restaurant option

Buggy. I always have issues adding my points. Today wee wee on a single check, and it said the aacount was linked with another check or something. Then when I went to pay through the app, it wouldn’t let me select the right date, and I’ve had that issue before. Clearly, they don’t care about updating the app to make it better. It should be easy and painless to use. I spend plenty of money here and I’d like my loyalty points without having to jump through hoops.

On line ordering. NOT!!! 😡😡😡. Did a 4 meal order online by Bj app n it would take 30 min. I go down n call as it says n they can’t even find it under either name I told them. They never looked under online order!!!! Really!! I was then told they would send a young lady right out. No on ever shows until another vehicle pulls up next to me about 5 min later n calls. The gentleman asks about my order and I told him who my name was and he goes OH OK. As if he knew from inside by employees complaining. Another 5/10 goes by n the gentleman comes back to at least let me know it will be right out. OF COURSE IT WAS NOT. After 35/40 minutes I got out of vehicle irrate and went in to get my food myself. Long to find my order sitting on the counter!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡. Not good. I let them know how I felt about their service, grabbed my food and left!!!

Tops for a restaurant app. I’ve had occasion to use a number of different restaurant apps, and, IMO, this is the best. It isn’t perfect, but it’s close. Good integration using Apple Pay. I like not having to give up my card info, and there’s lots of options to pay through the app. Also, when I pay though the app, it’s easy to get a copy of the receipt. Downside: they still haven’t figured out how to include or store gift cards, or those seasonal codes used with holiday gift card purchases. Points status is good, but I’d like to be able to review the point history. I can do that online through the browser, why not through the app. I like the wait list, and it provides a comment area (I don’t like to sit in booths). Could use a place to put the estimated time of arrival. Sometimes the app doesn’t work well getting my table assignment. If every table had a tag you could scan to ensure correct linkage, that would be good. Also, a way to split checks if there are multiple rewards members eating together. Overall though, I wish everyone else’s app worked this well.

App support is non existent. I’ve had the app for a while now and use it once a month or so. It used to be connected just to my phone number but a server added my email address WRONG. I have reached out to support, emailed online, told someone at the restaurant and no help. I guess they done really want to send me promotions via email? Also, after the last upgrade I can only choose a table for 1 or a table for 4. The slider just goes back and forth but won’t stay put on a number. It is also no help that the app can’t give an approximate wait time. Does it really help if I put my name on the wait list on my way to the restaurant and head straight down if there is a 90 minute wait? I’m still not checked in until I get there. So many bugs and issues and zero support.

Like BJs food and the app!. We really like the food and beer selections at BJs and the app is a great addition to the experience. BJs has one of the few restaurant apps that are actually useful from start to finish. Beng able to get on the waitlist from home before we head to the restaurant is great, they are always waiting when we get there and we usually head right to a table, even on busy days. Being able to pay through the app is standard, but they have a clean and easy way to pay and roll the purchase into the rewards program like no other.

Girls Lunch. Great restaurant and staff. We were in Temecula, California. Staff were great and very accommodating. One problems was that there were too many good things to order. We had the shrimp tacos from the lunch menu. Very tasty. Will be back for sure. Three Canadian ladies. Judy

Useless really. Try to join the wait list at 5:30 pm. 15 minutes later called the restaurant to enquire where we were in the wait list. Told 8:30 pm. 😳. When I told the staff member I wasn’t going to wait that long she said we have no wait right now. Huh? Staff advised us the wait list never works properly. So much for using that in the future.

Fantastic. Awesome staff and great food! It’s now our favourite restaurant. The app is excellent as well.

Rebuild app from scratch. I never leave reviews but I have been so frustrated with BJ’s app that I’m writing this. I love BJ’s food and go there very frequently. The entire app needs to be built from scratch. I feel like the base interphase needs to be re-created by a new vendor. BJ’s needs to contract another new company to create their app. The app is very laggy and has too many bugs. Many times the promo codes do not even work properly. It just takes too much time to load pages. Please use more space on my phone if needed so the app can download most of menu and data on my phone so it requires less data transfer while using it.

Can’t track visits or edit profile to add email promotions. Waitlist has worked around half of the time. The other half, I’ve had to phone the restaurant. I don’t use mobile pay, so I can’t track my visits on the app. App shows “Profile updated successfully.”, but the switch for Emails with Promotions, Offers & Events keeps resetting to the off position. Haven’t gotten It working since noticing it a few updates ago (so it’s not just the last BJ’s or iPhone updates).

Bugs galore, slow, frustrating. The concept and features are great, but don’t work. I tried ordering delivery and it took a while and finally paid with Apple Pay and the payment was accepted and then “order failed” so I called the restaurant and they said to just keep trying and it will probably work and the first payment will probably be refunded and if not to call and ask for the manager. Tried 3 more times no luck. They also said I can’t order by phone. We will see if my money is refunded but I won’t be trying for delivery with them again

Love that I don’t have to wait for my check. We always go out to eat in big groups for work and avoid bj’s because of notoriously long waits. Today we gave it a chance again and the best part was being able to pay with the app quickly with my Apple Pay. No waiting for the check to even arrive and then waiting again for them to run the credit card. Saved so much time!

Wonderful Experience. My family and I had lunch at The BJ’s in Oviedo, FL! Kevin was our server and he had just a wonderful demeanor! He was able to anticipate our needs and was suggesting things even before we asked! The food was served warm and delicious! We especially enjoyed the Calamari and the Pizookie makes for a happy ending! Greg the manager was friendly and attentive! We will certainly return again! It’s our favorite spot to eat!

Terrible App. App won’t save my card info, then said if declined when there’s more than sufficient funds. I added Apple billpay, the app “verified” it then said it wasn’t in the right format when I tried to submit my order. Tried to then go to their mobile site but it isn’t formatted correctly so you can’t see the button that says “checkout”. I had to login my laptop to complete this order! Most frustrating experience. Try looking at how other restaurants are managing their apps, it’s a breeze! This really deters me from wanting to order from BJ’s ever again. Make it simple.

Waitlist doesn’t work... huge inconvenience. This app used to work... but now twice I’ve signed on to the waitlist expecting the restaurant to be busy on weekends, and the information isn’t checked by the restaurant- meaning showing up expecting to wait a few minutes and instead it being 30-45+ minutes. The hostess last night actually said “oh yeah, the ap doesn’t actually connect here... sorry”. Sorry?? How about not letting people believe they’re on the list, then just making them wait once they get there? Why not REMOVE the feature from the ap, at least??

Faulty app will double charge. We’ve had this issue happen twice now. The app will tell you there are delivery drivers when there are none. Then it will give an error message when payment goes through even though we get a message from the bank that charge went through. Then when we call the store they have no record of the order. The first time this happened we got double charged for the order and it took 3 weeks and multiple phone calls to get refunded.

Excellent food and service. I come to BJ’s frequently and have yet to be disappointed. My husband absolutely loves the ribs! I love the turkey burger and Parmesan chicken. My family all enjoys the piezookies too. We love the service and the easy check out. Also, the reward program is so worth the trip. We are moving to Tx soon and were excited to see that you have locations there too. Keep up the great work on your establishments.

Charged me then failed to place order. The BJs mobile app charged my Apple Pay then told me that the location near me was not accepting orders at this time. That should have been the first thing it told me. Now I have to figure out hire to get my money back. UPDATE: spoke with local restaurant turns out they were slammed (Mother’s Day) so they turned off online ordering. The mobile app so let you go through the ordering and checkout process, charged me, then said ordering was not available at this location. Waiting to hear from BJ’s payment department. Local restaurant could not issue a refund since I used Apple Pay, but they did send a coupon for my trouble.

Good service and order correct & ready. If there was one thing that could be improved it would be the ability to place an order without sales tax being added if you pay online. I realize only a small % of customers are tax exempt but I am one of them. I realize that I could just wait & pay at the restaurant but that slows down the order & pick up process.

Pizookies. We are frequent visitors of BJ’s but I do have a complaint. When you walk into the restaurant, the pizookie that is featured on the table, the menu and when you walk in is the peanut butter s’mores one. The last 3 times we went they have been out of it. The last time the staff said they would be getting a shipment tomorrow. We came back the day after and they said they were already out of it. Why feature it when you never seem to have it? If it keeps running out, why would you not order more?

Pleasant. I have been here 3 times in 2 weeks, need I say more! I enjoy the BJ’s Brewery Cheeseburger with Bacon on the Parmesan Cheese bun-Yum. I always get mines well done and it is cooked to perfection. Never dried out- always flavorful and juicy! The App is very very useful to me as well. You can order your food before you get there, even if dining in-love that option. It works flawlessly unlike most restaurant apps. Two thumbs up!

0253a Great food. When we are in Tyler we always eat at BJs!! Great service great food and great visit with Greg and Brandon! Samuel S did a great job making sure we were taken care of. Prime rib was excellent. Go on Friday night and have the prime rib. Always exactly like I like it prepared. More food than I could eat and then we had a pizookie!! Very good! I’ll give The restaurant a 10. Thank you all for a great time with my 92 year Old Mother. She loved it too. JP

Good Idea, Bad Perfromance. The app is good in theory but I have had a hard time with the performance of the app. The last few times I have tried to use it, it froze up and wouldn’t let me do anything. I eventually had to delete the app and re-download it. After I downloaded it the second time, it was still very slow and I had issues with Mobile Pay. If it works, it’s great to be able to use the preferred waitlist, access rewards, and use mobile pay. But when it won’t work, it’s useless and frustrating.

Need higher character count for special instructions. Process of ordering was fine on the app, and I always enjoy Bj’s food. But I wanted to include special instruction on a pizza I was ordering, but there’s a 25 character limit, which is literally 4-5 words, pretty short. So I put what I still felt were clear instructions for what to leave off/on my pizza, but when I arrived at the restaurant it was very much misunderstood and now I’m waiting for my new pizza while exposing myself further to covid19.

Nice app - convenient. We used the app to get on the waitlist on our way to the restaurant and shaved off 10-15 min of wait time. Then used it to pay our bill, including using a reward. The check was already tied to our account and queued up so it was just a matter of entering a credit card. Made the experience smooth and easy. Thanks BJ’s!

Payment Bug Charges without ordering. It’s happened several times where it says “string error” when paying with Apple Pay, and the order doesn’t go through. However, the payment does go through in Apple Pay. The manager at the store can’t do anything about it either like they can a regular card payment. It either needs to be fixed or take Apple Pay out of the payment options. Also, the app is pretty slow going between actions. Otherwise it works alright

This is a Great Place. Great beers on tap,Superior hamburgers,Tremendous barbecue ribs, Cherry chipotle salmon is delicious,When you are really hungry, get the double bone in pork chop Good service friendly waiters,But it’s the beer on tap that will keep you coming backAnd if you get here during happy hour and all you wantIs a beer, there are a great number of appetizersThat fill the hole in your stomach This is our Cheers place of choice, any time, any day

Great app for earning discounts.. The BJ’s app is quite good. Easy to save $10 on most meals based on your spending. I wish the Nutritional Information had a search function and that as you scrolled the HUGE list of foods the headers (calories, fat, carbs, sugars, etc) were locked at the top of the screen so that it is easier to read. Otherwise, the app has worked very well for me and I use it regularly for my neighborhood BJ’s. 👍

App. Comments. Have the App. on my phone. It truly needs work! The Menu needs to be included. Trying to find Entrees is almost impossible. The layout should follow the actual menu without getting lost. Being able to go back to a previous page would be a plus. The menu should be the first page, then the remaining options on pull down selections, always with a Home option. And that’s just a first cut at an extensive update!

App and Food. The app seems like a great idea, will test it tonight. However even with a great app the food is mediocre like Red Robin quality and it is way overpriced due to the “great atmosphere” which is usually filled with huge parties of people polluting the atmosphere. If they took a little more time on their food and cut some of the time off of the service I would rate five stars. I just have a problem with snooty restaurants thinking they’re better than they really are. In the interest of the validity of my review I’ve been to BJ’s about twelve times.

Terrible. When I ordered online I placed my order before rush hour for a delivery. As time got closer to delivery we were not hearing anything. Called the restaurant and they informed me that the third party in charge of picking up deliveries was not picking up orders! I feel a call should have been made instead of me having to reach out to find out this information myself. I eventually decided to pick up my order and when I arrived they tried to serve me a stone cold pizza. So I waited 45-60 minutes for my ordered that I ordered online two hours before I wanted it.

When it works it’s great!. When this app is working, it is fantastic! The problem is is that you often it doesn’t work which waste a lot of time when you’re trying to order because everything you’ve done gets lost and you end up having to call into the restaurant. Tonight, however, I had success, and I am happy with the app! As I said, as long as it’s working, it’s!

BJ’s does not respond to issues. The last three times I’ve been to BJ’s I was not able to log into their Wi-Fi. App used to work but it doesn’t any longer. And yes, I have it set up to where I can go on Wi-Fi. And it was not an issue with my iPhone 7 Plus. As soon as I went anywhere else I was able to get Wi-Fi. Two separate servers offered to add my points when I kept trying to login and it wouldn’t work. The servers took my number down but did not follow through. I emailed BJ’s three times through the app twice a few months ago and just this past weekend and I have not had a response about this issue. Terrible customer service.

Insanely amazing. First off I am celiac and I need to maintain a strict gluten-free diet. BJ’s app makes it very easy to order from their gluten-free menu, including their wonderful gluten-free pizza with the ability to customize the toppings. You can pay with points or with dollars, and charge to a credit card or Apple Pay. When ordering, you can specify whether you want delivery, dine in so your food is ready when you are seated, or pick up.

Very Convenient!. I think the app is really nice and convenient it has a ton of information! It makes it easy to access. I wish the app allowed you to take pictures of your receipts so that you can get points if you forgot to give your information during the visit. Whenever I try to add points after my visit through the app it always says my receipt isn’t found. Then I don’t get my points.

Best Brewhouse Beers and App. The Mesa location is our favorite brewhouse! I enjoy the Jeremiah Red and hubby likes the Nutty Brewnett. We have never been disappointed with the food and always try something new. The app is the best! Love paying through the app and getting points. The wait list is awesome and I highly recommend using it while driving to the restaurant. The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly.

Awesome Food!. We frequent the Burbank BJ’s whenever we are in town and sit at the bar. We always receive excellent Service and the food is outstanding. The App is great as well. Self explaining, pictures of the yummy food and on Special Days they already have the prices set. Like on Wednesday’s, the Special is $10 Burgers and when you use the App to see what burger you may order, the price is already set. Good stuff!

Awesome app. We pre-ordered our food using the app. When we got there we were seated and the food and drinks were brought out in 5 mins. Since we ordered using then app we bypassed the crowd at the door. Then when we were finished, the app texted me to pay the bill using Apple pay. This was great, no more wasting my time on trying to flag down waitress to get bill then wait some more to get my credit card back !

Easy ordering and using rewards. Awesome app, makes it easy to order, use rewards, and find nearest location. Estimated timing in Albuquerque is accurate, timing at the location in Burbank was way off. Ordered from elephant bar the other day and all their app had was a phone number to the nearest location and rewards available (no menu, prices, or ability to order from the app). You're doing it right Bj's 👍

App doesn’t work!!!!. This app doesn’t work! When you open the app, it freezes and you have to close the app and open it again. The points are not added when you enter the numbers and even though you have to email the company to add the points for you, it is still not added. The app is only good for coupons but that is emailed to you separately. So I want to let everyone know who uses this app that they will feel frustrated when using this app. Some feckless IT guy needs to be trained on how to make an app function like other restaurant apps that have no problem adding points when you eat at their restaurant.

Ok. The app has some nice features and is easy to use. However, there were at least two big problems we had: 1. Using free items-I got an email with the free item, I was able to select it to use it, but it never took it off the ticket. Not much of a free item if you can’t use it. 2. Gift cards- no ability to use them when paying through the app. Of course, nobody at the restaurant would help with it. Bjs food is fine, but the wait is on par with BWW when I go.

Once good, but really buggy now.. Link from home page to waitlist doesn’t respond. Had to go through the hamburger menu. Same issue with redeeming rewards. Then when I finally got the reward to go through, the payment process returned an error, but my bank shows it went through. Now I have a message from the restaurant saying that I didn’t pay. This is way too buggy to have been released.

Worst App. I enjoy eating at this restaurant. I put a order in yesterday, I paid with Apple Pay! I get to the store and they did not have my order or anything. I had to reorder the food and pay twice because the app took the money out of my account than said it was an error! I was very upset and mind you out of my money. Their is no way I can contact the head office because their isn’t any number to contact to get a refund. Once again, the restaurant and the food was delicious.

Add points option does not work. Tried twice...still does not work. first time it would not find the receipt at all even three or four days after I was at the restaurant. the second time it is said it was going to add my points after review but no points adde, no email, no notification. why weren’t they added. tried three times got the same notification that the point would be added still nothing. Please fix or make sure all of your employees ask about the customers if they have the BJ’s app or rewards.

Robust App but needs work. The app is very powerful but you have to learn how to use it. It makes the whole process of delivery easier. After this time I will be hesitant to use it again and call the store. When I placed an order today one of the entrees had an error for “no brown rice” at checkout and when I tried to substitute or remove the rice I inadvertently removed everything else so I only received chicken and was charged full price for the entree. The full menu is not available on the app- I love the pork chop!! But not available...some coupons are also not honored on the app.

App misinformation. I downloaded the app today to order delivery, and I tried submitting a order 3 times but it kept saying “order failed” so I tried a fourth time and it worked. A few minutes later, I got a notification saying my other 3 orders went through and were also gonna be delivered. It said clearly that it failed and to try again later, what am I supposed to do with 12 pizookies? I also called them to cancel the order and you know what they did? They hung up. Fix the app please and thank you

BJ’s Brewhouse North Little Rock Arkansas. I eat at this restaurant frequently and find it very welcoming and the staff to be of a high caliber. Manager’s are seen more than other restaurants I’ve been in. The restroom (mens) has always been odor free and stocked with necessities. I haven’t used the takeout but I can see that the person who is there is on the ball as are the other members of the team.

Never Again!. Apparently, they use a third party delivery service when u order via there app! I found out today when they didn’t deliver the extra condiments that I ordered in the final notes of the order. I was told that they don’t get those notes only the driver so basically it was the driver’s fault and their nothing they could do about it! They only offered to send me a sorry via email when I asked to speak to a supervisor! Food that arrived was lukewarm...not sure why when the restaurant is a mile away from me! Definitely not worth it! I’ve ordered from uber eats further away and received better food from a fast food place!

Quick and Easy. Enjoy using the convenience of BJ’s app for paying the check. I always check with the waiter to make sure that the payment gets processed, which is what they recommend (although not necessary), and I’ve never had a problem with the payment not being processed correctly. Love the quality of the food too!

App doesn’t allow more than party of 6. I downloaded the app because the automated message says to download the app to get in the waitlist. When I tried to enter the # in the party, it would only allow a max of 6 people (we had party of 10). When I tried calling the restaurant to update the # of people the hostess told me she couldn’t update my waitlist request until we got there even though I told her we’d be there in 5 minutes. So basically all that to say, the app is a waste of time if you have a larger party. I didn’t try anything else with it so can’t comment on that bc I already deleted it.

This app needs work!. Some features are good like having the menu available. But ordering is in consistent. Example. If ordering a deep dish pizza you can easily customize the toppings etc. however if ordering a tavern cut pizza and you want to make changes. DON’T USE THE APP! Also you signed me up for your reward program and there is a link in app to see this. That’s nice. Now why can’t I see my entire member number!! When I go in and order I show them this and they can’t use it since the number is cut off!!! That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen!!! If you don’t want people to use the reward program then don’t offer to have one.

Why does the app take points away?. We frequent BJ’s weekly. The last 2 times there my points were shorted. On August 30th I had 37 points, the week before I had 99. I wasn’t able to use the 99 points as I was 1 point short of a reward. The day that I visited having 99 points I spent around $42 on food. The next visit rather than having 141 points I had 37. The staff had no idea why points were taken away, nor did they know how the app works, or to whom direct questions. The app never works correctly either. I can never pay from the app, or add points manually. At this point the app is more of a nuisance that a benefit.

App goes from bad to worse!. For the past several years, this BJ’s app has gone from bad to worse (notwithstanding a number of updates)! For example: -two years ago I advised management that spinach was not an option in the app as a pizza topping even though you offered it in the store; -It was completely unacceptable for management to say “Well, you can add any item not listed in the app when you come into the store,” and its still unacceptable; -two years ago, your mobile app offered the opportunity to build a pizza from scratch, now you don’t; -now, for pizza orders, you provide several “pre-built” pizzas with pre-selected items. You offer the ability to deselect items not wanted but you provide no means to go back to the menu and add items I do want; -after deselecting items I don’t want, you provide a box for comments. I tried typing in toppings I preferred, but the comment box did not work!

What happened tonight?. We love BJ’s & dine there often. Tonight I ordered takeout in Eugene, Or- two meals we know well. We ordered the southern fried chicken & chicken fettuccine. The portion size for the fried chicken/mashed potatoes & corn was TINY and it was served dry- no gravy. The portion size for the fettuccine was ok (I normally order the kids menu size but that’s no longer an option) & there was a decent amount of chicken, but there was no broccoli included, so it is no longer a complete meal. I’m hoping it’s just an off night in the kitchen, but having paid for two meals, we definitely did not get them tonight. I have photos if you’d like to see what was served.

Points Expire!. Updated to latest version of the app and lost all of my points. Visited BJ’s for lunch today and spoke with manager. Was informed that as of February the reward system has changed. You are now given a $10 off coupon every 100 points accumulated. Also new, points now expire after 3 months regardless how frequently you dine. With the change anyone with less than 75 points was given a $5.00 off coupon. Customers with more than 75 kept their points. At least with the airlines you can avoid points expiring by flying once a year.

Delivery order. I purchased an order Carol Willis was very disappointed with what you sent. I ordered the steak New York) with potatoes etc a bowl of tomatoes soup. I called the manager Joann who said she would make things right, I called several times no results I received a small steak and a cup of cold tomato soup my bill was over $40 something dollars I am very unhappy, I have been a customer for many years never a complaint I am handicapped now and needed a good meal I was disappointed in edition I had to pay the delivery service to deliver.

The app AND the restaurant have problems. I always have problems with app orders. Something gets left off. I suspect that the Aurora CO staff have become vindictive about it. Last order was for delivery. No app notification, but my order was updated to delivered. It wasn’t. I called the restaurant and was told by the manager that they had no idea who picked up order taking zero responsibly for how they track what the sell or the services of their delivery subcontractor. Grub hub and Door dash had no clue about my order. BJs made me responsible for finding the food I paid for them to make and deliver. Never got the order working on get my money back. Utter bs.

Great BJ’s app & BJ’s food. Easy to pay for bill through the app with a great history of past meals at BJ’s. Also, the BJ’s restaurant gives great service. Our waiter (Trey in Westminster, CO) was very attentive and took care of refreshing our drinks and took care of all our needs. Great ribeye steak for me and barbecue ribs for my wife, and we loved the pizookie (fresh hot out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and pecans on top). Yum!
