LOVE but has some issues. When Lightroom CC came out, it showed amazing improvements from the classic version, and I absolutely love it. I love how it can create public albums and can instantly share to my phone, and don’t get me started on the user interface. However, I’ve had some issues. On the mobile app, when you allow it to access your photos, it will upload every photo from your phone, but when you remove the access, you can’t download the photos from the app; and you only have between the two choices. Also, I really don’t like how on the public albums, there aren’t very many settings, so when I want to show my friends my albums, they aren’t able to download the photos. I used to prefer this app over Flickr for sharing images, but it’s become a hassle because my friends aren’t able to download my photos. Anyways, pretty good app but it needs some improvements.

Presets Managing. On Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom web(annual subscription), there’s no ability that I’ve found to move presets into different categories after you’ve created a specific category for them. For example, I created an outdoors and indoors category to list my created presets under. Now I no longer want those categories and I’d like the flexibility to move my presets to another category type and delete the original two created. It seems that in order to do that I’d need to recreate the the same presets under a newly created category which is very time consuming and leaves you open the to missing something on the original preset. On Lightroom Desktop you can move the presets, but not on the other two Lightroom options, please fix this, especially for those who pay for the annual subscription, it’s an obvious need. Thanks in advance

Almost Perfect with One Annoying Feature. I use this app professional for 90% of my editing work! It has most of the functions I use on my desktop using Lightroom Classic. I’m sure one day through updates it will receive all of Lightroom Classic’s functionality. My guess is this will be after Apple makes the switch to all in house processors when Intel and NVIDIA is phased out. My one big complaint, which is probably not a big deal to most people, is when I make ANY EDIT, it can be marking a photo, making an adjustment, rating a photo, etc.., a notification pops up in the middle of my screen, covering my image, to tell me what adjustment I made. Even with overlays turned off in settings this little notification pops up for a couple seconds on each photo. When editing 4,000+ photos every week this adds up to a LOT of wasted time waiting for that little notification to go away so I can see my photo. Adobe, if you read this, PLEASE add an option under settings to hide ALL overlays and notifications. Thanks!

Lost presets were found!. Love this app! I’m mainly making this review to try to help some people who think their presets disappeared, because I can’t directly respond to reviews, so I’m making my own in hopes that this will help! I thought that all of my presets that I had made (over 40) were gone! & that I only had the original ones that came whenever you first downloaded the app. But then I figured out that whenever you press “Presets” up above those few in the top left it’ll say something like “Colors” & if you press on that, there are several options & “User Presets” was right there & I was able to press on that & view all of my presets! I really hope this helps people. Also, if I could respond to reviews I would, because I’ve seen people think their presets are gone & they’re not!

Great except for one issue. UPDATE: I love this and how it has all the same features as the desktop version. But how do I disable camera role backup? I found out that the issue from earlier was not what I thought. I can see my photos in the cloud just fine. The issue is that my camera role photos keep backing up, but I don’t want to waste cloud storage, because those are already being backed up to Google Photos. How do I fix this? Here is my original review: “I have been using Lightroom Mobile since 2017. I also use it on my computer with a Creative Cloud Subscription. It always worked fine until the latest update came. I can’t view my photos which are synced in Lightroom through Creative Cloud anymore. It just shows me the photos from my camera roll. Useless.”

When I tell y’all I could not live without this specific app… I am being so serious! 🫢. I’ve been using Lightroom Mobile for YEARS now & I still just absolutely LOVE IT!! Even if I have a photo that I don’t really wanna do too much editing to, I can still pop it into Lightroom just to tweak it a tiny bit to enhance my natural beauty and of course the natural tones of the background/picture!! Plus, you can use Lightroom’s built in presets OR you can create and/or buy your own presets, & then just import them into the Lightroom Mobile app! This app truly makes my life so much easier & makes me feel so much more confident about my pictures. I couldn’t say enough great things about it! I just love it so much! 🧚🏼‍♀️🩷🫧

Good app. I really like this app. Only thing is, the subscription. They keep removing features one by one but as long as you make your own presets and as a beginner, it’s enough. So really the subscriptions is for those who want to dedicate to the app to make their photos better. Also the subscriptions are not as bad as it sounds either. They have their month to month plan, but if you look at the yearly one, it’s like two months for Netflix worth. Maybe three depending on the plan. Point is, it’s affordable, but I recommend if you are serious. It’s a good app for mobile and if you don’t have a good program on your pc. Also I want to note, editing photos is super fast and fun. Once you find a nice tutorial, it’s easy to mess with. Either way, I give it five stars cuz of the quality and experience. And I don’t blame them too much for the paid walls. After all, is newbies tend to over analyze things and having this paid wall helps with picking this or maybe go with something else.

Don’t need a pro camera. I can take professional photos with my iPhone. I shoot in Apple ProRAW or Lightroom’s Adobe Raw and I have incredible color/light control. I can even manually focus on objects as well as control ISO and shutter speed. I can bring out the tiniest details shot with Apple’s macro ultra-wide lens, or adjust my urban city shots’ perspective from Apple’s telephoto lens using Lightroom’s geometry adjustments. I can easily create a cinematic look for my photos using the curves tool by adding and subtracting greens and reds. Perhaps the most useful tool in Lightroom is the selective editing: Masks. I use these to brighten or darken specific parts of my photos without affecting the rest of the image. Lightroom’s secondary color correction hsl is super helpful when I need to adjust certain colors, and the color grading adjustments add beautiful tints to make the look that I’m aiming for. As you can see, I can tell the stories I want to tell through my photos and the emotions and mood they create.

Be aware of syncing issues between mobile and Lightroom classic. I have been a long time user of Lightroom mobile and Lightroom classic. I never had issues with the two syncing until this summer. Ever since the update they did over the summer my edits do not sync properly to Lightroom classic. I’ve lost hundreds of hours of time and edits bc of this issue. I’m a family and wedding photographer and lost an entire wedding gallery of edits (around 500 images). As a result I was late to delivering the gallery to the bride because I had to re edit her entire gallery after spending many weeks on it. I keep both apps up to date and the issue has continued to be a major flaw. This should not be a problem with a company of this magnitude, I am to the point of looking for a new editing software. Once Lightroom fixes this flaw I will happily give 5 stars and gladly stay with this company. I have contacted Adobe about this as well.

Lightroom is King. I’ve tried multiple photo editing apps, some of them being YouCam Perfect and Polish. Then as the school year started, I got introduced to Lightroom through my photography teacher. The only difference is that it was on a MacBook, and we used Lightroom Classic (Lightroom doesn’t work on Mac’s as well). I love this app. So many features are free, and it has a straightening feature that a lot of apps I looked at don’t have. If you wanna explore photography editing, I strongly recommend Lightroom. You can edit lighting for free, cropping and straightening, and sharpening, and so much more! The only thing is that the removal tool isn’t free. So, if you’re looking for a free editing app, Lightroom is my recommendation. It’s awesome.

Greatest program yet. Load up your photos on your desktop or laptop from a REAL camera or phone. Create a collection in Lightroom, transfer to Photoshop and back to Lightroom. Share entire album within seconds to your contacts. Pretty smooth. Absolutely NOTHING comes close to what PSCC & Lightroom can do. Absolutely love this system. I generally shoot with dslrs and use several features in photoshop that Lightroom can’t duplicate or run. I only have the “save as smart previews only” because the don’t take up much room on the server and I can send the “collections link” to anyone I wish to share. There is a slider to allow the sender to download the smart preview. Most of the senders are family and only view on their phones or tablets. I keep originals(RAW) on portable drives and connects with saved presets from PSCC/Lightroom. This is still my best program for travel and family photos. I still can’t get away from focal lengths, aperatures available and picture quality of a real camera. I print and display my work at the office and my home . There is a difference between cell phone and larger sensor size. Physics still dominates , no way around that yet but, maybe in my lifetime ?

Great app, but shamefully missing features from desktop. In the general the app works great, but there is a bug that dims the screen, even when the brightness is maxed out and it makes my device hot and drains the battery. This happens on my iPhone 13 and brand new iPad Pro 12”. This makes the app very aggravating to work with and useless sometimes if the screen is too far for the pictures. Also, there is no feature to merge images into a panorama like the desktop version. The logic behind this years ago was the processes of power of mobile devices was not there. But there are phone and tablets that have desktop grade processors. There is no reason that this feature should not be available. Update: I returned my new iPad Pro because of these issues. As a reply to Adobe’s response to this review, the issues listed above were reported in the recommended tech support community pages months and years ago, with dozens of people expressing the same issues. There has been no official response or support from Adobe on these pages.

Love it ,but one problem lately !. I love Lightroom . It’s been about a month or so that when I open the app , most of the time the pictures keep going back to the oldest ones . I have about 4000 pictures there so in order to go to the newest ones it takes time to scroll . Before when I would open the app it would always start with the latest pictures . I’ve tried to change many settings but with not positive result . Sometimes the pictures would start in the middle when I open the app. I’ve been using Lightroom for at least 5-6 years but only recently I’ve had this issue . Please fix it. It’s very frustrating and time consuming. Thanks

Make believe science. Just like Photoshop on my computers Adobe has its own peculiar ways of doing the most simple tasks. After using Photoshop for 20 years you’d expect to have little difficulty with the Lightroom App. When you use most programs - even an OS - there is no so-called learning curve. But with Adobe you are bound to be surprised when you realize how difficult they make it to do the very simplest of things. Adobe makes things difficult to show you how fancy or scientific it is. I just opened Lightroom and am finding there is no way to get pictures out of it once Adobe captures them. I can delete an album of Adobe’s choice but not one stinking picture of my choice. It doesn’t even have to be deleted just removed from Lightroom. There are so many apps that do the same things easier and better it’s hard to justify Lightroom. On my computers I’ve always had Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. Since Photoshop costs ten times more you’d expect it to be the best choice. Not unless you prefer doing everything the hard way. Paint Shop Pro is not perfect but I can do everything Photoshop does in a fraction of the time. I’m not even sure why Lightroom exists. And when it comes to iPhone there are so very many apps that are easier and give better results. The Bottom Line is avoid anything Adobe like the plague.

Hands down the greatest app. Lightroom is hands down the greatest photo editing app out there, and I use A LOT of photo editing applications. I might run one photo through multiple apps to create the desired effect, but it all starts with Lightroom . If you don’t yet have the app “Lighty” you might want to check it out, too. You get free daily Lightroom filters that are legit. Being able to view other peoples edited photos that are shared in Lightroom, and being able to “copy” the filters those individuals used to create a particular photo, is unheard of…until Lightroom. I have been asked umpteen times by friends, family, and followers, of my Facebook page if I would be interested in photographing their important event, and when I tell them all I have is my iPhone, not a “real” camera, they are blown away. “You take all those pictures on your PHONE?” they exclaim. I tell them they can too, and direct them to Lightroom.

Epic fail. I was very excited for this app and been successfully using it for a few months now. My husband and I went to Aruba for our honeymoon and this app helped make our pictures absolutely magical and beautiful and all was well until today when I decided to upgrade to premium account to have access to more cool features. Once I upgraded I jumped back in one of the photos to edit it as the app crashed all of a sudden. When I got back into the app I found all of my albums and pictures that I spent hours and hours working on were gone. I thought it must have been a mistake because there were no warnings or signs that something like that would happen. So I went online in hopes to find an answer and to my disappointment I found an Adobe Lightroom forum where other people posted the same issue. Apparently lots of people had the same issue and said that customer support was no help at al. This is absolutely unacceptable and terrible user experience. I will pursue to escalate this to make sure other people don’t fall into the same trap, but for now beware that if you upgrade and decide to spend your hard earned money on this app it will silently and irreversibly erase all your old photos and presets.

high hopes. LR classic long has been photos superior in terms of file management/organization (by a mile), but with cc now finally bringing lightroom into the cloud game - this is adobes attempt at the last piece of the puzzle that arguably had left the scales tipped in in favor of apple (arguably. and it’s a darn good fire errofinally found what to abandon a bit under featured for now (though new version is big improvement - except faces don’t seem to ever show up?), but combined with the OCD person’s wonder that is lightroom classic, lightroom is leaps and bounds better than apple. keep up the good work adobe. love you guys! jus pleaaaase don’t ever write lightroom classic out of the equation entirely (at least not until cc is as sophisticated as classic). i get that they serve two different purposes and generally for different target audiences, but them playing together nicely—as they do now—is critical.

Tremendous app; could integrate better with iCloud Photo Library. As a semi-pro photographer, I have found that Lightroom helps me improve the quality of my photos better than any other iOS app, except for perhaps Darkroom. Lightroom’s editing tools and ability to create and sync presets are the best, and in my opinion, worth the monthly cost of a monthly PS/LR subscription. My one wish is that LR would be engineered to work as an “extension” to the iCloud Photo Library (on desktop too). I don’t want to maintain two separate photo libraries, and the LR library doesn’t offer anything more compelling than iCloud’s. The iCloud Photo Library’s organization features, its support of RAW files, and the convenience of getting photos into it (a quick swipe from my iPhone’s lock screen) mean that I’m not going to give it up any time soon. Skate to where the puck is going, Adobe! (Please and thank you!)

Awesome App, has a (literal) huge problem.. I think this App is great. Even if you don't have the cash for the Creative Cloud. If you want to just do some photo editing or add metadata and watermarks, this app is on top! Unfortunately, even though the app offers cloud storage with the CC, its still the largest app on my phone. A quick search on the internet tells me I'm not alone. I think a great update for this app would be smaller res photos on the device. Yeah, the app has smaller res pictures already, but I mean Really small res. Let me explain: I don't do much photo editing (I prefer to get it right when I open the shutter in the first place), so the smaller "smart previews" aren't what I need. I use Lightroom to organize my pictures, occasionally I'll break out the editing, but its rare. What I need from Lightroom is the ability to import my photos to the cloud, add metadata, and export them at a smaller resolution with a watermark. I have the Apple Photos app store my pictures in iCloud, and my Photos app has a smaller GB footprint than Lightroom. But Lightroom has megabytes of data stored in its cloud, while Photos has Gigabytes! And Lightroom is still larger on my device! Why is that? If this is a bug, please fix it. If its just a difference in resolution between the Lightroom device copies and the Photos copies, please add a function to save "lower res images" (EVEN LOWER THAN SMART PREVIEWS) to my device.

Great, but a major hiccup. Lightroom offers superior color editing, but the major issue is that if you haven’t used the app in some time, it doesn’t use your photo gallery like other apps do (by accessing the gallery to pick)—instead it loads the pictures into its own selection gallery and updates it based on the last time it loads. I edited a photo in October 2019 and here on December 1st 2019 I’ve taken a few hundred more photos, which means the last one I took and want to edit specifically isn’t accessible until the other few 700 ahead of it load first. It’s annoying and relegates me to using the phone’s basic photo editing options instead when I want to get the work done now, not 10 minutes from now when I can actually select the photo I want.

Loved it at first. So when I first got the app I, I didn’t have a subscription to adobe and every thing was perfect. I then did the trial of the subscription to the photoshop and Lightroom plan and still loved Lightroom mobile. However, a couple weeks ago my trial ended and my photos stopped coming up on the app. I thought when I ended my membership some of the editing features would end but nope, instead my photos just won’t show up. None of the photos will load because it says my trial has ended. I don’t know why that’s happening because the photos are downloaded to the app, they’re not just in the cloud backup. Anyways I would pay the $5 per month for the membership to see if my photos would actually appear but guess what my bank account has $0.80. Depressing right? Well that’s all I have to say about the app

Love it!. I am so obsessed with Lightroom! I do photography as a hobby and I’m an amateur, so I love learning how to edit my photos in post. I gotta say, the curve tool is such a game changer and a necessity. If used correctly, it can literally change the entire look and vibe of your photos. I have played around with it so much that a lot of my photos look like I used filters from other popular apps. I have stopped using filters COMPLETELY and learning on creating my own style of lighting, color and shadows. The premium package is a must lol. The geometry tool is such a life saver and gets rid of that annoying “distortion” effect that my lens sometimes loves to throw in my face. I can’t wait to get an iPad so I can use a bigger screen to edit and see more of my photos since I am only using my phone at the moment. Lightroom is a god send!

Easy to use, wish there were some changes.. As an amateur, I find LR easy to use and would recommend it. Sometimes updates are frustrating. I don’t like the edited/unedited sections- cumbersome to go back and forth and feels disorganized. I wish you could choose how your photos are grouped. I also hate the color spectrum box that now appears over all photos. You have to click on the photo to get rid of it. Totally unnecessary and annoying. Also when sending my photos to save to my phone, it stores them by date. So if I try to send an old Lightroom photo to my camera roll on phone, I have to hunt for it by date. Sending Lr photos directly to Instagram also causes problems. Sometimes you can add music on Instagram. So I always have to send the photos to my phone, then to Instagram. Please fix these cumbersome problems!!

Greedy and not worth the money. I always preached about how Lightroom is the best free mobile photo editing app. I’ve used it for over 6 years and it has always been my go to until today. I opened the app today and my presets I’VE ALREADY PAID FOR are behind a pay wall. So I decided to manually edit my photo but using any of the features is also BEHIND A PAYWALL. I never received any notice that the app would become a subscriptions service (and an expensive one at that). I’m not playing this game, if the only way to use the app is to pay ($50 a year or $5 a month, a cost that is much too high for what they’re offering), then I simply won’t use the app. It’s sickening that every single app is behind a pay wall now. People do not have the money to pay $5 a month for every app they use. These corporations are snakes, and after consuming everything in sight, they’re begun to eat their own tail and are destroying themselves.

Love using it, but could use more. I like being able to be away from my desktop as much as possible being a creative who avoids that kind of grind. This is why I welcomed the addition of Lightroom and now Photoshop for iPad Pro. One thing missing: Color calibration. I know many other users only do “simple edits” on iPads only to return to the big computer for final touch up, but that seem silly. My wish this whole time that iPads have been out has been to make my workflow more organic feeling like drawing or something. Sure windows tablets may work but I don’t like their stylus feel compared to iPad. Is it that adobe doesn’t want to pay xrite or whoever for licensing the profiles? I wish Apple would do it system wide, but not holding my breath. Some of us still print adobe, so pretty please....

Love this App, but have had challenges.... For some reason, and twice in one week when I’ve gone in to edit some photos with presets I’ve downloaded (some of which I have had for years), they are wiped clear and the only thing available is the standard presets that have come with the apps. I sent an email for support and never heard back the first time. I bought a new set of presets I was looking at and when I downloaded those the rest magically appeared? I was worried it would happen again. Which last night it did. I had edited probably 2 or 3 photos and then I went to do another, and... gone, all presets gone including the new ones I bought. I tried updating the app, but no updates were needed or available. I tried deleting g the app, which I was hesitant to do, but desperate as I didn’t want to have to buy more presets. So I had to painfully go through my emails and find every purchase I made of presets from various providers and painstakingly download and create each preset. I have quite a few so this took me some time. Really frustrated by this recent experience. I would have rated it 5 Stars prior to this issue.

Don’t need my DSLR 90% of the time. This may be my first product review, but I am very eager to share my experience. Thanks to Lightroom CC, I can shoot beautiful raw photos (in HDR), easily organize them, easily fix/improve them, and automatically upload them to the cloud where they don’t eat up space on my phone. I must say that I feel like about 95% of the time I can tweak photos to look exactly what I am hoping for. A major reason for this is the ability to highlight just a region of the photo and adjust the brightness/color to that region. And it is really nice how how the app also ties fairly seamlessly with other Adobe apps such as the two Photoshop apps. I could go on and on about other features I like and other minor things that just are smart and show Adobe was paying attention to detail. My complaints are few and far between, and I’m sure will get tweaked in future version. For these reasons, I am generally confident 90% of the time just walking around with my iPhone to take pictures rather than my bulky Canon 5D Mark IV. My friends keep asking me what app I am using for taking and editing the pictures. I keep telling them they should get this app.

OK I finally did it.. The last version I used was Photoshop CS3. I got out of photography other than cell phone pictures for several years but it has been unsatisfying. I finally decided to take the plunge and try Lightroom on a monthly subscription. So far I have enhanced several iPhone shots from last years Hawaii vacation right on my iPhone. Also did the same on my iPad with shots I took with a Sony DSC-RX100 IV I bought recently. Those shots have come out way better than I expected once they were tweaked in LR. You’ve gone and done it now Adobe! Now I’m going to need to upgrade my ancient Mac mini because LR won’t run on the old version I have now. It is also your fault I am lusting over mirrorless full frame cameras! It’s all a plot to get me spending money on cameras again!!

Good editing, but workflow feels hobbled. So, the good...the editing seems solid. The bad...some basic features seem to be missing. The main thing I really feel they need to add to the iOS version is the ability to edit or manage multiple photos as once. There is no way to tag or rate multiple images. I have dozens from the same location and it’s going to be soooo tedious tagging them. I also wish it had at least basic geotagging capabilities. I geotag my photos as part of my workflow when I import the RAW files onto the iPad. But, I can’t actually see that info inside LR. Probably not a huge deal because I can just retag inside of iOS Photos app should I choose. I noticed in various forums that users have been asking for some of these features for a while. Anyway, I’ll probably discontinue my subscription after I finish this trip and have all my editing done.

Terrible and counterproductive changes. To preface this this app used to be great. It had amazing potential for editing photos and was very user friendly. This all changed in a recent update. Money hungry greed has overcome this app implementing changes making it so to back up photos to the app you must pay for a subscription. What used to happen was you could upload pictures to the app and come back and edit them anytime you wanted. They would be saved to a gallery and that gallery would stay saved even if you deleted the app. I had pictures of a dead relative saved to the app but having the pictures available to me in a time of sadness was unhealthy and believing i can get the pictures back by redownloading the app anytime led me to delete the app. When the greedy payment system for cloud storage was implemented all of my photos linked to the gallery on my account were erased and upon redownloading the app all of my pictures of a dead relative, pictures i can never get back are all gone and its all adobes fault. I then purchased a subscription believing that i just needed to access the cloud function to get my pictures back but no, theres nothing there. This app will delete your cherished memories to make way for stuffing their pockets. I will be canceling the payment from my bank for the subscription.

Love it. I love using this app. There are so many great features. But when you’re using presets, ones you’ve created or downloaded, you can’t tell what filter is on the photo. I have a lot of presets saved and if I’m editing a bunch of photos I’ll have to go through every single preset to see which is the one that I had originally selected. And it will also take off any other editing I’ve done. So that’s just a little frustrating. And also without going through and editing every minor detail I wish there would be a way to decrease the intensity of a preset. But other than that I’ve enjoyed using the app. Friends will ask what I use to edit and I gladly tell & show them. This app has a lot of tools that can help create amazing pictures ◡̈

I’m so disappointed in the Adobe company. I’ve used their products for 10 years, and had a creative cloud membership for 3 years. I canceled my membership last week, because I never use it at home anymore. They charged me a $200 cancellation fee straight from my bank account without any warning. When trying to contact them it takes hours, and I’ve been hung up on multiple times. It’s been worse than an Uber customer service experience. They finally told me they would refund in 5 days. When that didn’t happen, I contacted them again and they told me another 5-7 days. I doubt I’ll ever get my $200 back without getting my bank involved. Never thought of Adobe as one of those sketchy companies with no morales and horrible customer service, but at the end of the day seems they’re no better than any other corporation. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!! Great app but was much better before the recent update. I use this app very frequently for editing photos. I really enjoyed working with the previous version. I was previously able to import photos from my files, now the only option is to import a picture from my files to my photos and then I can import it to light room. It just adds another unnecessary step. Also the the way your photos are organized in the app is now frustrating and not at all user friendly for editing. I used to be able to have all my photos in one section and I could scroll left or right and compare how I edited one photo vs another. Still a good app but I would love it much more and find it more useful if it was changed back to how it was. Please change it back!

PLEASE HELP. I absolutely adore this photo app and have been using it for years! but since one of the latest updates, you can no longer DELETE an individual image. Now you have to selects images from your entire gallery and delete the selected ones but you CANNOT open an individual image as before and delete it. On the help guides says to “open image-click Edit-delete image” the problem is that when you open the image and click on edit there is NO delete image option. How to delete an individual image NOT from the photo gallery but the image itself? WHY you removed this option? When you take 15 images of a ring let’s say, you want to see them individually to get a closer look and then delete an image if you don’t like. Now? You can see individual images but you have to go back to the gallery and from there select the ones you want to delete. Problem is that 15 almost identical images in gallery size doesn’t allow you to know anymore which one is the one you wanted to delete. Not having this option any more is time consuming and frustrating the least to say. Please make this feature available again. 🙏🏼

Please help🙏🏻. Hello, I know I probably won’t get a response but it’s worth a shot. I have downloaded more photo editing apps than you can imagine. I have tried so hard to figure this issue out and I can’t for the life of me. So I’m really desperate at this point. Can you please tell me how to resize an image without compromising the photo? Lightroom gives you some aspect ratio presets. But, it doesn’t matter what I choose because it always cuts off my photo. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to fit in the FULL size photo. If it means I could crop it into being a full sized photo, I would be willing to loose on the quality. And, I don’t want to put it on a white background so that the photo fits in that square because I would still be loosing on the photo. I want to be able to resize to whatever dimension I need to in order to fit the photo in different social media platforms. I know that a lot of these platforms automatically compress the photo for you but, I would like to resize it before I upload so I don’t compromise the photo, and it doesn’t get cut off. I have watch many videos yet, I can never get it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest what I can do to fix this frustrating problem. I would be so grateful!!

In app camera needs serious improvement. I love the app for the editing purposes, no issues there, but the camera in app is extremely frustrating. I have an iPhone X and I like that LR offers a camera for shooting raw and is my go to camera. However, the exposure is way off most of the time. It does not have issues when shooting JPG, but when shooting raw it totally overexposes, And I’m only using it for the raw capabilities. And I mean by a lot, blowing out photos entirely. It looks fine on the screen during the preview but the result is unusable. I frequently have to take the exposure compensation down to around -2.7 to get a useable result. And there is no way for me to know based on the preview if it will be correct or not. It also shows a snapshot of the photo I took immediately after the shutter with the expected result of what I think I took, only to find the file is completely overexposed in the library and often with some wild color issues even after I’ve used a custom white balance and grey card. Please fix.

A 2nd camera roll, but better.... With 1-terabyte of storage it's practically unlimited; no need to worry about space ever again. The edit tools are similar to iOS photos, but on steroids. Flag photos: accept/reject/no flag plus a five star rating system. Organize your photos with folders and albums. Tag photos with as many keywords as you want. Easily search and display photos by any of these features. I also love that I can use it on my Mac and iPad too. Plus you get Bridge for your Mac which expands your editing feature list even more. If the monthly fee has you down, just pretend your taking one of the dev team members out for a coffee every month. Well worth it, this app is super amazing and works very well! You can tell it's designed by a team of talented people and not just one guy in his basement. Don't hesitate, get it today, you love it... I guarantee it!!

Editing RAW on the go. Lightroom CC has been slowly catching up to the classic version in terms of functionality. But one of the advantages of the new ecosystem is the seamless cloud libraries. It allows me to edit my camera pictures on my computer and sync the best ones to the cloud for easy download and posting. One of the best features is the ability to edit RAW pictures, wether they are my camera pictures imported to my pc, straight from the SD card and into the phone files, or the apple RAW MAX formats on iPhone. RAW MAX are accessible as .dng and offer the full flexibility and resolution to create the look you want. Having the RAW files on the cloud also means you can make changes on the go if you need to or want to create a different look. The Lightroom app also negates apple, google, samsung, or any other devices image processing. Use your own presets and create the look you want.

Great app but needs a few tweaks. Love this app with the exception of one major missing item it would be really great if it would give you physical feedback for a focus point like it does horizontal and vertical. After using this app for a few days shooting cars for a auto dealer to post on the web, I just assumed that the quality of the images would be superior to the native camera on my iPhone. My images kept coming up blurry. Do to the nature of my work, I have to handhold my phone. Despite my trying to hold the phone steady. I then tried the native camera and was completely shocked to see that the images were sharp as a tack. I again assumed that this app would utilize the built in camera stabilization apparently it does not. Very disappointing to say the least. While I can see how this app would be great for landscapes and such. Unfortunately it does not work for my personal needs.

I love it. Lightroom Cc is everything I wanted in a photo management system. I use it for storage. It has an astonishing number of ways to edit. I am getting great results. I watched the videos adobe provided and now know how to effectively use the features. The fact that your pictures can be seen on all devices, real time is one of the strongest features. The one feature that is much needed is to be able to identify which photos are not in folders. I have 12,000 pictures and am overwhelmed to find those that didn’t make it into albums. I also had a lot of trouble with photos duplicating on the original upload. But don’t let these two issues stop you from buying this great, integrated package.

Best editing app but... Ok this app is hands-down the best editing app in my opinion but what I don’t like is the fact they changed the option to have all your edited photos synced across all devices for free but you have to get the subscription. I personally think that this is unfair because these are my photos and plus why should I have to pay just to have my photos that I took for free. So Lightroom, I ask that you please let all users have that option of being able to sync their photos on all devices again. Also, if possible, could you create an option where the photos that are edited have an Instagram accustomed setting because it’s really annoying having Instagram change the quality of the picture horribly because the pixels are too high.

Indispensable for every photographer. Lightroom user for over a decade. Love the integration across all my devices, computer, iPhone, iPad. I love that at a shoot, I can use my iPhone or iPad to shoot in the same album as my DSLR images will end up. In fact I always download my SD cards into my iPad Lightroom before I leave every shoot. I’m backed up as soon as possible. Then selecting on Lightroom mobile is amazing. I can make my way through thousands of images quickly - rejecting, starring, quite fast. By the time I get to my desk I’m down to editing “the good ones”. I actually prefer some editing on iPhone or iPad due to the speed and convenience. Then for the most advanced or detailed editing, the computer version is top notch. Intelligent AI selections of subject and background are usually close to perfect. I can then adjust just subject or just background with ease. The modern Lightroom has replaced 5+ different tools that used to be in my workflow. And it’s all available to me on all my devices or even a random web browser. I’m not sure I would enjoy photography as much as I do without Lightroom.

Best app ever…but. Not a fan at all of the latest update. I can deal with my camera roll being beside the Lightroom photos but personally, it makes it too cramped and confusing. My main problem, that is far more of a problem then the app development might have thought it would be, is the scroller. It used to be able to be clicked and dragged to get to a certain period/photo you’re looking for. Now it does not which means I’m stuck manually scrolling through 10,000 photos which takes quiet a lot of time. I’m talking 3-5 minutes of aggressive scrolling. Bring that back and it’s fine but that is the smallest most annoying thing that’s really ruining my enjoyment of the app somewhat.

From best app to worst app overnight. Wow. This is the first review I have ever written anywhere, on any site, and it’s warranted because the most recent LR update is beyond awful. It shows that the app creators have literally no idea how their app is being used. The ability to share the photo directly from the photo into Lightroom is gone. Why would you remove that feature? Now, you have to manually import the photo which is cumbersome and requires several extra clicks. Worse, all of my personal presets have been moved into a buried folder that requires several clicks to get to, and the presets themselves look totally different, as if they are not compatible with the new version of the app. Overall, I cannot think of a worse redesign for what was truly a great app. I would love to hear from other reviewers about any other photo editing apps out there that can serve the same purpose, as I can’t imagine continuing to use this app with these new changes. The creators of this app should strongly consider keeping the bug fixes and reverting to the old version of the app while figuring out a way to fix this awful mess they have made.

Really disappointed in annual contract.. I’m not sure how useful Lightroom would be for me but I downloaded to give it a try. Unfortunately you have to bleeping subscribe in order to use the free trial, and the only two options are annual contracts for the photography plan?? Adobe please do month to month. I can’t commit to a year but would pay for a month or two to give it a shot 🤷🏻‍♀️ *** response to Apple developer and anyone else who cares: yes there is a monthly subscription — but I was told by customer service that it requires a years commitment. So it’s the same total cost as a yearly subscription, you are just paying a monthly installment. Where is the month-to-month subscription? We can’t all commit to the cost of a yearly plan - especially without trying the product out for longer than the brief free trial. I wanted to get Lightroom for my young niece, but I don’t want to commit to a year since she might change hobbies. PLEASE consider a month or even a three month plan.

Makes culling images / sending sneak peeks easy. Sync images from desktop to mobile. Quick and easy! Swipe up or down to rate and flag, simply awesome! Love most of the built in features although I’m still learning what all is packed in this app. Rated 4* due to losing my place multiple times because the app crashed while I was rating pics from a shoot while it was syncing. Once it completely synced I didn’t have any crashes. However, there needs to be a last image feature so that work can easily continue after closing and reopening the app. Save the last state or something so we don’t have to hunt for the last image we touched. This costs time and time is money in our industry. Other than that this is a great app for anyone using desktop version of LR.

Latest Update Is Game Changing. The latest update to allow masking with adjustments makes using this a joy to use not only on the desktop, but also on mobile. I begrudgingly paid for this and have since 2015, but this latest update has finally made me feel like the constant money pit has become a worthwhile investment. It isn’t like those “toy” apps that peddle cheap tricks that don’t really lend themselves to professional work and cater to the Samsung filter using types (you know, the absurd skin smoothing). This update has dramatically altered my workflow, and in only good ways! That’s why this is one of my only reviews on the App Store. If it works, great. If not, I just delete. You have to make an impression for me to “waste” my time reviewing an app. In this case, not a waste of time. ✊🏾

Photos won’t upload. I’ve had no issues what so ever for years. Even up until two days ago I’ve been able to upload my photos with no problems and now all of a sudden I can’t upload my pictures to the iPad app, and the auto import is requesting full access to all my pictures which I shouldn’t be forced to do. When I’ve looked up other people having this issue I’m assuming it could be a licensing issue but I pay for the license that would allow this. I’ve been really happy until now and now Im so frustrated I just want to cancel my subscription. Update: I did figure out a round about way to get my photos added in but man this took so long and I wasted an hour. I can get them in there but there needs to be an easier way to make this happen. I love the app, as I stated I haven’t had any issues until today but when something that should be simple is made to be extremely difficult and for no reason it’s frustrating.

The best photo app I’ve used except for.... I’m going to start with the best things about the app. There’s nothing like it for mobile; the HDR, Raw, and manual settings are exceptional. The editing options are superb giving you curves, clipping and crushing colors when there’s no more information in the image. I feel confident enough to edit a photo on this app as much as I would with the desktop version. Now the negatives; I mentioned that one of my favorite things about the app is the camera, but yet I still find myself using the iPhone native camera more simply because is more accessible. I wish adobe would separate the camera from the editing software. Adobe please allow me to someone pull up my light room camera app as fast as I can with the stock camera. also, being able to record video with such camera app would be amazing.

Getting worse by the day!. I am a professional fashion photography based in LA and I have used LR for about 20 years and I gotta be honest it’s getting worse by the day. First of you just cannot count on it stand alone without buying and using other softwares in addition to LR. And the fact that it is a subscription service and I gave permission for them to see what my troubles are not improves they just add new gimmicks. I shot several fashion shows over a couple of days and it takes soo long to upload pictures and then download to my phone it’s ridiculous IPhone 14 current IPad Pro and laptop it should be stemless and quick but it’s not. Addendum Want to know how a client could screenshot pictures from link I sent which wasn’t open for downloads. Seems extremely harmed for program to export jpegs to device. The sorting of images even if you use keywords is garbage. Cannot differentiate between files I have edited on my device compared to recently added. Putting the apply from previous on another page adds another two steps to the editing process I either hit export or something else. It’s like people who are not photographers and do not use the software implement changes that are not improvements but little things they saw other apps do and they feel like adding to Lightroom. Like the blur function. I can’t see why.

Presets. Love this app for when I don’t have time to use my laptop version or want a quick edit on an iPhone photo, BUT PLEASE have a way to add your own presents into the ‘preset’ option tab. I have my presents linked via images which I can copy and paste settings from but this is a real pain when wanting to compare them. Thank you :)

Great app, but overheats the device.. Absolutely wonderful app, is my go to for any photo editing. My one gripe, however, is that it overheats your device with minutes of using, which forces the device to turn the screen brightness down consistently. Often have to get out of the app and remove from recently used until the phone cools down. Can only edit one photo partially before doing this, so it’s not a great phone app for multiple photos.

Brilliant. Super easy and great to use, however I think it’s a bit annoying how Lightroom doesn’t automatically remove your files from “synced photos” when you remove them from Lightroom mobile! Making your cloud fill up faster and then having to buy more storage!

Great editing app, but need more export options. Best app yet for editing photos - powerful and precise where I want it to be. It's created some wonderful pictures from otherwise ordinary ones. Please consider adding more options for exporting images... but I look forward to lossless format (PNG, TIFF, etc.) the most. Look particularly forward should lossless exports come into consideration for release!

App crashes with new update. Hey developers, just wondered if you could fix the latest update of this app? I can’t edit because the app is crashing after about 3 seconds each time. This only started to happen just the other day after the most recent update. Since then it’s been unusable, and I can’t reinstall without deleting all my data and work already in the app so am rather stuck. Please fix!!!!😊 Thankyou

Love this app. Have recently started to use this app as part of an online photography course. There are so many facets to this app that you can’t help but be amazed at how you can turn what seems to be a dull image into something amazing. It’s gonna take a lot of practice but am sure I will get there. Well worth the annual fee.

Powerful tool. A super powerful and handy tool to have on the go! It carries nearly all of the same features as the computer program and allows for accurate editing with great colour correction to bring your images to life. The preset feature is great for saving your favourite settings and makes for speedy editing to suit the vibe of the image.

Surprised. I started using the app for its camera shooting which is great as I can produce a DNG file. The most exciting part of the app is how it integrates with Adobe portfolio. This will make my life a lot easier when updating my folio even when I not near a computer.

Storage is always an issue. I have a huge amount of data on my cloud. I don’t understand why I can have 300 images uploaded to Lightroom and it someone takes up 90GB of data and after months of trying to search for an answer on how to offload that data so I can start importing again it’s IMPOSSIBLE. Adobe really needs to provide more accessible support to resolve these issues

Best photo editing app on a phone. Best photo editing app for a phone. Only issue is it’s tendency to make the phone overheat during intensive editing however I guess that’s to be expensive from such a comprehensive editing tool on a PHONE.

Paid feature issue. I upgraded to the paid feature today and lost everything in my library and my presets I had paid for - very upsetting. Especially because the feature I upgraded to use ‘healer’ didn’t work at all as it said it would. Really really disappointed and I don’t know how to get everything back. I used to rave about this app and have used it for years but now I don’t think I’ll ever use it again. Very upset 😞

An EXCELLENT app!. I have found Lightroom to be an excellent way to accentuate photos quickly and easily. I’m very pleased with the results I have achieved using my phone and this app. Great for beginning and advanced photographers. Highly recommended!

Love being able to edit on the go. While not quite the amount of features as the desktop version it’s close enough to be able to edit on the go

Used to be good. I really enjoy using Lightroom to edit photos, however, with a recent update the application has been completely ruined for me. My pre paid subscription no longer works now and so I’m now forced to edit my RAW shots using Photoshop on my PC. To add to this, now that Lightroom doesn’t think I have premium features that were once free for everyone such as sharing options have now been removed and are now only accessible through the subscription based service. PLEASE FIX ALL THESE ISSUES!!!

Not Compatible with iPad Air 2019!. I just spent $1000+ on a new iPad Air only to find it is not compatible with Lightroom for iPad! The app works on my three year old phone, but not a two month old iPad that’s almost identical to the previous generation iPad Pro (which is supported). Seriously angry!

Lightroom. Lightroom is an exceptional app for anyone passionate about photography. Its intuitive interface and powerful editing tools make it a must-have for both amateurs and professionals. The seamless integration with Adobe Creative Cloud ensures easy access to your photos across all your devices. With features like non-destructive editing, preset customization, and advanced retouching, Lightroom offers endless creative possibilities. Whether you're enhancing your smartphone snapshots or fine-tuning your DSLR shots, Lightroom's versatility and precision will help you achieve the perfect result. It's the ultimate tool for taking your photography to the next level.

Photos not appearing.. Love the app, but unfortunately after the recent update I can’t upload my recent photos to edit them. This is highly irritating and I can’t seem to find a way around it at the moment. They seem to be the screenshots that aren’t showing up for me. I went to the screenshots file as I thought this would help, but then nothing would load. Please fix this issue.

DO NoT PAY FOR SUBSCRIPTION. If you are wanting to use Lightroom on both your computer and phone, do not pay for the apple subscription. The apple one is not recognised on the computer and then when you cancel your apple subscription to upgrade to the full version which you can use on both devices, you have to wait till the end of the month. So are pretty much stuffed until then. It should clearly state that the subscription locks your adobe account to your apple device.

Don't bother. If you only want to use your photos within Lightroom, then fine. But if you plan on saving a few images to your device or share them to another mobile app I wish you the best of luck... The app has the most ridiculous bulk select feature I've ever seen (if you want to easily select a large number of images). First, if you swipe your finger from one image to the next it doesn't pick up the rows so you have to swipe over every single image. That doesn't sound too bad, except that it doesn't scroll the view once you get to the bottom of your screen and to make matters worse, once you've selected a group of images in one go, you can't do it again. It unchecks them all. I am literally about to throw my phone at the wall. How this passed QA testing is beside me.

What more could you want?. The only Adobe product I use. Lightroom combined with 1tb or more of cloud storage is so good. Having access to my whole photo library dating back to 2000 on all my devices is just amazing. And with the editing capabilities LR has to offer, I could for example be sitting on bus editing a photo I took back in 2006 on my phone. Most impressive of all is the search capability. I remember on one occasion when my son was 3, I was telling him about the papaya tree we used to have in the back yard. A quick search for ‘papaya tree’ in Lightroom, and within a few seconds all the photos I took of that tree years earlier were there for my son to see. No having to worry about tagging photos or scrolling through thousands of photos to find what you’re after. I have just one major complaint. I have all my photos segmented into months. Now if I open a month’s worth 400 photos and scroll down through them, then minimise that month, instead of going back to that same month as it should, the scroll position will be on whatever month is the same distance down the page as the 400 photos I had open. For example, if open the month of January 2020 where I have 506 photos and scroll to the bottom of all 506. When I minimise those photos the scroll position will then be at December 2017. So I either have to scroll back to the top of that month’s photos before I minimise, or scroll all the way back there anyway. It’s very annoying! Please fix this Adobe.

Afraid of using it as photos get marked Reject with a mere swipe down. In my workflow I delete the photos I reject. I can’t use LightRoom on mobile though as I ended up accidentally swiping down on photos while scrolling, ending up deleting them by mistake. Please allow to customise the Reject input while in Review mode.

Logging in. Went to log in with Facebook, it then asked for a verification number that was sent to my email, when I put the number in it seemed to be wrong every time even though I was careful with the number. It got sent to me about 3 different times with an few tries on each for them all to be wrong for it to “lock” me out of my account for to many attempts even though I’m not even doing anything wrong.

Used to be so easy. I’m not sure what has changed recently but my old trusty way of using lightroom is so much of a hassle now. Exporting images on my Mac is ALWAYS a hassle, I get errors every single time with full size files not being found, despite being saved and imported locally, so instead I try to export using the app on my phone and crashes. It has crashed every single time during my 7 attempts to export 100 images. Feeling pretty frustrated and stuck. Never used to be this hard, in fact it was always easy. Now that I have to ‘export’ and not ‘save to [local storage file]’, neither laptop nor phone apps have been very enjoyable to use. Don’t know why that makes any difference but it does.

Why can’t I apply presets to video? Doesn’t make sense.. I’ve always used my presets on my computer with Lightroom on videos, but the mobile app doesn’t. And this is very annoying. Also, when you edit photos on your phone then they will look a bit different on the computer. I like this app, but I wish it was for videos as well.

Great program but has it’s issues. Started to use this to manage my photos, edit them and share across all of my devices. I have to say although it is pretty easy in many ways there are some things that aren’t particularly intuitive or even seem dumb. Having to manually tell Lightroom to update the view of a folder to show images you have just exported to it is IMHO stupid - I am sure there is some great excuse related to syncing etc. but come on it is just cumbersome. I have also mistakenly added stars to every image, somehow, which has basically wiped on the ratings I had painstakingly added. (Should the program not ask if your sure?) Also lost lots of metadata because you have to manually tell lightroom to save all changes to the file. Ahhh You get used to it, but I have to say, if there was a comparable program without these flaws (awesome photographer control) I would probably jump. Also issues with smart folders (shared across devices) keeping up to date with the folders they are based on. Stupid system Anyway, the program is awesome in many ways for being able to apply edits across many photos etc.

LOVE IT (but). Not going to pretend I don’t LIVE in Lr and love it endlessly... the new version is wonderful (omg – VERSIONS – life-changing), but please please please make it faster to be able to edit newly imported photos!!! I used to be able to send a photo from my camera roll to Lr, then open Lr app on my phone, chuck a preset on it almost immediately / after a few seconds of loading, export the finished photo and be on my way. Now I have to wait 20 years+++ for the photo (preview? backup? original?) to load. Please fix and then it will be perfect :)

I love this app…. I love this app, But I just have to ask why, as I’m going through an album of edited photos (without editing them, only sometimes looking at the original) it is such an intensive task for my iPhone 14 pro Max, that it must dim my phone screen and heat it up? Looking through photos and doing some editing, for the power I have in my iPhone, should this task be so energy demanding that my incredibly powerful iPhone processor should need to cap itself at around 60-70 percent brightness? Either there is a software problem, or my phone technologically speaking is just bogus. And I doubt the latter. This also occasionally happened on my iPhone 12Pro, but I thought it was just outdated. Now that I have the 14Pro, I’m pretty convinced it’s the software. Now on my iPad Pro M2, I’d rate this app 5 stars. With hours of editing it would not struggle at all. But when I’m editing a few photos on the fly and don’t happen to have my iPad for larger workflows, I’d really love for my iPhone to be able to do more than just read the photos—and even then still struggle. It’s cooling down already as I write this! With the brightness this phone can offer—I’d love to be able to actually use it!

Support is garbage, app is glitchy.. I’ve been using Adobe products professionally now for the better part of 20 years, and I’m frankly baffled that Lightroom CC (now simply Lightroom) is so highly rated here. Whilst I don’t expect an iOS app to be as robust, stable or feature-rich as it’s Desktop predecessor and counterpart, the app has serious issues. Cloud sync (in fact sync in general) is frustratingly unreliable, and the software itself is slow and glitchy, even on a new-ish iPad Pro. When bugs pop up (which they frequently do after software upgrades, and also for no discernible reason whatsoever) Adobe’s autobot and human chat support are equally useless – frequently, chats with agents are ended before any questions are even addressed. It’s inexcusable for a high end, ongoing paid subscription service. Ultimately, the disruptions to my professional workflow have been so dire that I am moving everything back to Lightroom Classic, and just wish I didn’t have to pay for this watered down rubbish in order to use LrC.

Adobe- I Hate your Subscription Application!!!. I’m lucky to have purchased the last none subscription version of Lightroom for my Mac, it in convenient having to use the Mac to edit all my photos but hey, I can and it’s free as I own my software, I detest adobes and other software makers annual subscription based use of software and apps, I no longer use AVID Media composer for that same reason. I would gladly have purchased the upgrade to the pro version of Lightroom app for my iPhone, iPad, however, I refuse to keep paying US$70 per year for software that’s not worth that sort of money, so sorry ADOBE but you have lost another sale.

Update deleted my whole catalog. After not using my PC Lightroom Classic for the last 2 weeks I opened it this morning to find it has updated itself. In this update it has deleted every single photo from my catalog and pretty much looks like I’ve never used it before. After updating itself it also will not run without being connected to the internet and forces the app to close. I often use Lightroom Classic without the internet and it was never an issue before this update. Trying to speak to a tech from the help forum is just as useless as they kept telling me just to sign in while connected to the internet. The app is already signed into my account so I do not understand the app’s continual forced closing or where my photos have all disappeared to!!!!

Aims so high for its Desktop counterpart. I really want to Love Lightroom iOS but I can’t in good conscious move past the glaring issues with exporting a range of my video files, including drone.. I thought this was going to be a solid runner on my iPhone for all the things I use it for on my desktop, so my 5 star expectations were at the very least accessible, and not too far reaching. That is, have the same editing tools and features, and have the stability to work with native file formats and render respectfully. This just hasn’t been the case on multiple occasions and I find myself troubleshooting the app than editing, which is really sad to say as it isn’t how I spend my time on my desktop versions of Adobe’s suite. Instead with almost half my working media, I use another less-than-name brand app for colour grading and correction.

Lightroom. I’ve been using lightroom for many years and never have I ever had an issue. The compatibility between computer and iPhone is unmatched and makes transferring photos so easy.

Please read carefully as I wrote with my honest thought. I really love the apps and I even have subscribed for it. My only problem is my phone will get too hot each time in the editing process even with the new iPhone Xs Max. It has happened the same with my 8 Plus. I don’t know if this was the Apple problem, hopefully there are reviews about it as well.

Powerful & easy. Packed full of features, perfect for on-the-go editing when not at your desk. Syncs to your cloud, allowing you to conveniently continue where you left off on your desktop.

Great tool…. Used to have a ‘learning’ component with simple but very useful tutorials on using the software, extending Lightroom’s usefulness. Then Adobe removed that feature on mobile versions (but left it on the desktop version) and left us with the largely pointless ‘communities’ that’ll showcases other people’s work without educating us on how to do it. But for that dense and puzzling decision, I’d have given a 5.

An incredibly disappointing October update. The October update to this app has very much made defunct the features of Lightroom that had made this so appealing in the first place. By inserting a pay wall subscription to features of selective editing (now called "masking"), it feels like a generic photo editing app where you just slap on a filter and cannot edit for artistic detail and contrast within the photo unless you are willing to pay ludicrous amounts on an ongoing basis. Mobile photos often cannot adjust the focus for things in the foreground and that in the background, especially from a distance, and so manual editing with these selective tools is extremely necessary. Previous versions of Lightroom were amazing and allowed for this, so it is extremely disappointing to have opened the app as a longtime user and find they have made the parts that made it unique inaccessible.

Excellent app, hobbled by poor storage options. 20 or 1TB. No in between. This is a problem when the entire application is pretty much underpinned by storing photos online. The editing feature in this application are 2nd to none, but getting photos out is really clunky and so the 20 GB option really isn’t that usable

getting worse.. adobe, stop shovelling your cloud down our throats. As part of an ongoing push for this cloud BS, the default button placement for saving images has now changed so that the same area now pushes your image to the cloud and takes its sweet time processing to generate a link. if we want to use the cloud, we will. changing the button positions and prominence to force us to use the idiotic cloud is criminal.

Great photo editing app. Great app for editing photos, ability to save to cloud and have your entire edited library in one spot, separate from your phone library (or the same if you want that) Subscription based for extra features, if you’re a photographer then it’s easier but the free version still gives you some incredible tools

Overheats and automatically dims on my iPhone 15 pro. I have tried everything including speaking with apple in order to try and resolve this issue we turned off every single automatic screen adjusting setting possible, I can’t edit a photo if it continuously dims my screen, it doesn’t happen in any other app. It happened with my last iPhone 13 Pro and my iPhone 11, and this is literally the only app to cause me this much grief. Please adobe either reach out and let me know how I can resolve this and perhaps I can improve the star rating, thank you.

Best mobile photo editing I’ve found. Lightroom is simple to use with a great amount of control. I love it and use it on pretty much every image I publish. I love being able to copy setting to apply. To multiply images to save time on workflow. It crashes occasionally and can slow down when the cache get full. Still, without doubt, the best photo editing app available for a phone or iPad

Light room. I love my Lightroom it makes my photo edits so easy and makes them stand out from the crowd , when posting on social media platforms ect !! I always get really nice comments about my photos . Cheers Light Room

My Go-To for Editing on the Go!. Lightroom mobile has made it very easy for me to edit images on the go. As a photographer, I don’t like to be tied down to using Lightroom Classic on my desktop, and the mobile version allows me to make adjustments while I’m on the go, and export my work when I’m back at base! Never had any issues or complaints about it on IOS, and it’s served me very well for years (and many to come). Thanks team. 🙌🏼

Used to be great. The Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop apps used to be excellent photography tools. And truthfully still are. But it just seems with each new update they tighten their grip on enforcing you to pay subscription to use effects that used to be free to use. And if you are a professional photographer and can write this off in tax then great. But there are some of us who are just using this as a hobby. Thats my rant done. Thanks Adobe for a great run.

Super convenient!. I honestly love Lightroom. I have been using LRC for 10years and recently downloaded the latest LR. I can use it conveniently on my phone (on the go) and at home on the desktop - having access to my edits anytime, any place. The Adobe suit has absolutely brilliant editing tool.

Works first time every time. I have Lightroom on my phone and MacBook and PC. I work across these different platforms constantly. Lightroom is amazing. You work, transfer to phone or laptop and everything works seamlessly. Absolutely perfect for my workflow. Well done Adobe and worth the subscription cost.

Great app. The new rebuild is amazing.. Except for not being able to export high resolution images. I just want to be able to export large printable jpegs. High res versions. The highest export jpeg is 72dpi. I’ve had all my gear stolen (traveling) and I’m trying save images from my camera to my phone and upload them to the cloud in a high res version for printing later on but it’s not possible. Amazing app, but without a high res option for export, even just jpeg, it’s not complete for me. But killer app apart from that!

Almost the only camera app you need. At first I only used this app to edit as that is what I knew Lightroom for, but then I discovered the built in camera & wow!!! I’ve tested many of the manual camera apps & I can honestly say that in the professional camera mode this is the best User interface of any!!! But it feels a bit hidden. The camera launch icon needs to be moved to the bottom bar (I can’t find it as it blends in with the library photos sometimes). Also when in camera mode the 3 dot menu icon at the top right needs to be moved down to the bottom left gap next to where you switch between auto & pro. Needs haptic when using iso, shutter speed, exposure etc. so I can feel when it’s snapped into place. Also a setting that allows the app to remember if I want it to open in camera mode or library/edit (Personally I want to open straight to camera everytime). I usually have less time to capture a photo when I’m outside & in a hurry to get a shot compared to when I have plenty of time to switch when I’m inside editing. I know I can use the widget but sometimes I just need to open from my dashboard. It lost 1 star for battery drain It’s soooooo power hungry it overheats my phone & causes it to dim the screen when I’m editing photos. Which makes it hard to accurately edit them. I can visibly see the battery percentage draining as I use it. Recommended to only edit if you are near a cable. Also would love if photo stitching was added to this mobile version

Needs syncing edits on multiple photos feature. It’s a step towards a fully mobile editing solution for professional photographers. But not having this feature to select multiple photos and syncing edits is essentially a dealbreaker. Having to copy settings over hundreds of photos isn’t fun! Please ADOBE, it’s been asked for many years ago in your forums. Why are you ignoring this essential feature?

Intuitive user friendly. I am revisiting adobe products since they went to a subscription base. I have never been a fan of continuous payment for subscription based tools; however, from my observations the App based plans allow for continuous improvement to the product. Each new iteration has been easily implemented and very intuitive to use. I still try to plan my shot and project in my mind what the camera image will be in the end - noting, it is always the artist or photographer’s imagination that creates thee image - PS and LR are tools - correct in camera leads to a better image when processing with these great tools.

Little things. 2 things. 1, kinda wish I had the defringe tool on the mobile version like the desktop version but it’s that’s just minor 2, everytime I swap from desktop to mobile the watermark font is always changed back ti the default from what I had it and when I change it back in my phone it changes my decks top version to the default font as well and it’s kind of annoying constantly having to double check my watermark font

Doesn’t work with Mac. I downloaded this on my iOS and subscribed but when I open the app on my Mac, it asks me to subscribe again. I can only use the premium feature on my phone and can’t use it on my mac. Why would I double subscribe to use it on my mac?

Charged me for a yearly subscription. I canceled my free trial and then i got charged for a yearly subscription

Trial Nonesense. Can’t a single app allow one or two attempts without signing up for everything!?

Don’t Go for Yearly Subscription. First : There is no pro Rated Refund option if in case you want to upgrade your plan. Second : there is no photography Plan in option. Third: if you try to get it via mac then there is Mac only Subscription again there is no option to Upgrade If you talk to apple then they say ask the Developer and if you ask the Adobe they say its third party subscription from Apple , we can’t deal with it. Left with no option.

Complete trash. 1 monkey randomly typing at a computer could produce a better app than this.

Great app, use it for on the go at work. As a social media manager and editor, this app crashes and is slow wayyyy to much, but it gets the job done and is consistently producing high quality exports 🤘 8/10

Editing in hdr mode truly transforms your experience.. Good amount of adjustability, professional presets available for purchase on the app store, they are worth it!

Works well. Thank you

Best picture app. The best picture app I’ve used!

Love it. Only wish I could edit videos on the free version

Errors and glitches that never get fixed. Wasted hours editing photos to have the reset with this error: Waiting for settings This photo is missing settings from another client that need to be downloaded before it can be edited. If you would like to edit the image immediately, you can reset all settings. Check online, this issue has been around for years and they don’t know how to fix. Annual fees and they can’t fix basic issues?! An absolute joke!!

Crashes. Keeps crashing while editing, using iPhone 7 plus. *Thanks for the response, I emailed you.

Love Lightroom - essential app. Absolutely enjoy working with Lightroom. It can turn the dullest photos into the photography masterpieces

I’m mad. Make selective tool free!!!!!

Awesome but at a cost. The overall convenience of using the Apple Pen for editing masks are great, but the app crashes if I do certain tasks. It 100% crashes everytime I do the following: add mask > select subject > subtract from mask (subject) > brush. The only work around? Do all of my colour grading/tone curve/lighting/etc. adjustments, export the photo and then add masks to the exported photo. This is an annoying feature and it also force resets the previous edits on the original photo. There’s little bugs like this that bug me but otherwise, a solid app with a lot of potential!

No way to turn watermark off or adjust it. Hey guys... I searched on how to remove or edit my watermark and its nowhere to be seen. Why is it hidden? Can someone help, all formus say to go into Sharing Options but it doesn’t appear anywhere in my app. Please help.

Hard to use and bad service. I tried everything to understand how to use it and nothing, I also tried to get a hold of customer service and nothing

bestdressed. here cos of ashley

Only premium?. I downloaded this “free” app but no features work without paying 7$ a month. Every time you click on anything (ex crop or light) an ad pops up for premium and nothing works.

Awesome free editing app!. I don’t know much about editing, but, when I do it occasionally, I really like using Light room. Even without the full version there’s a lot you can do which I really appreciate. It’s my favourite editing app : )

PRESETS. Professional apps for editing

Cutting Edge. I love how this app enables me to be creative even on my phone. The paid version provides occasional surprises of new beta technology to try out like the new Ai blur.

Exactly as advertised. Works exactly as I expected, makes my photos easy to edit and sort.

Feature rich and each to use. Great tool for organizing photos and also provides excellent basic editing and touch up capabilities.

Not good. Downloaded the app and for premium and then it no longer works.

Less editing tools in video editing. Im not able to edit Apple ProRAW video, literally waste of getting the subscription, not worthy

Good but not great. It's saving me a ton of time being able to do my first pass selects while on the run but it's missing key features like colour tagging / filtering. It's also annoying that you have to make a collection just to sync.

🏆🏆🏆. 🦊🦊🦊

Greed. Subscriptions are going to be adobes downfall. Now I can’t even crop?! Uninstalled and going to the competitors.

horrible. It won't let me import the photos, I paid to have a premium and I can't even use the application. In response to this comment they sent me an email that does not even exist, terrible service.

The best. Lightroom is easy to use and the best tool for adding a little extra to make your photos even better. I love it.

Lightroom Mobile. I LOVE this app and I use it daily. It doesn’t matter where I am, I have the ability to edit photos throughout my very busy day. I’m enjoying it so much! Highly recommend for those on the go!

Adobe deleted my data and literally stole my hard earned money.. I was a happy lightroom user until the day I decided to upgrade my phone. After syncronizing the apps and data from the old phone to the new one, I haven’t been able to access my active and paid for account due to apparently having made a typo when introducing my email address in the sign up dialog. After contacting both Apple and Adobe (and being bounced back from one to the other like a tennis ball countless times), over a month has passed and Adobe hasn’t been able to handle an account issue due to a TYPO. After taking my money, seizing and destroying my cloud data and not allowing me to, again, use my active subscription, the only solution Adobe suggests is for me to subscribe again with a new email account and therefore pay twice for the subscription. Completely outrageous, to be honest. TL;DR: I lost the right to use my active lightroom subscription and lost all my cloud data due to a typo I made with my email address when signing up. Adobe hasn’t been able to help with the issue after more than a month and countless chats with their customer support. I feel literally shaken by some mafia thug. A word of advice: just use torrent and don’t bother yourself with subscriptions. Cheers

The best photo editing app in Apps store. The recent update with the blur effect has really changed the game in mobile photo editing and for the premium price you can get some really great features and some professional filters

Great app. I love this app it's my go to photo editing software. BUT the app doesn’t allow me to change between languages without having to switch the language on my iPad entirely. This is a problem for me as my IPad for work is constantly being used in 4 different languages!! From my 4 coworkers it would be awesome if I didn’t have to constantly go into the settings and switch language.

Love Lightroom!. Love Lightroom!

Landscape mode. The option to make edits in landscape mode is no longer available

Can’t upload photos to the app. I can no longer upload photos to the app! This new version is really disappointing. Can someone please fix this problem now.

Most advertised feature. It's most advertised feature is unaccessible without paying a subscription. Without it it is the same as any other photo editing software

Good app, but not a fan of the UI changes. I almost exclusively use the Lightroom app for capturing and editing, but I’m not a fan of having features buried 1 or 2 taps deep.

Best editing app I have come across.. Absolutely love Lightroom, the tutorials are helpful for beginners

The Best Editing Tool. Easy and fun to use

Blvck presets are mint. I used these at Auschwitz-Birkenau and my photos look professional with no effort at all

Upgraded to premium and my premium features are not working.. I upgraded to premium after my free trial and the features I should be getting are not working.

I lost everything with the recent update. With the recent update, my entire library got wiped. Presets I manually created, spent hours on. I had about 70 presets total. I use this app almost exclusively to showcase my work on Instagram, and having this happen was detrimental. The sad part was there was NOTHING - no apology - NOTHING from the developers. I had to go on an online forum to find hundreds of other people in the same predicament equally upset by this apps lack of care for its creators.

Unable to unsubscribe.. I did the free trial and now I am unable to unsubscribe. This app does not show up in subscriptions under your Apple ID. I am being charged monthly and still unable to unsubscribe. When told to report a problem / request a refund it states “does not meet the conditions”. Be careful when using your Touch ID.

Amazing app for mobile photo processing. I love this app and use it daily in conjunction with the desktop version. Almost everything about it is amazing except for the lack of background sync of photos (Adobe, that's -1 star). Other than that, this app has replaced Snapseed for me since it can take RAW format photos and allows me to edit on the go.

Love. Best app to have on your phone if you’re a serious content creator or on the go. Works amazing, and exactly like the desktop (only easier)!

New mobile update is very disappointing. Why would you remove easy access to the rating and flagging system? Hiding them and lumping them together with the info and metadata is so impractical and frustrating. Using my phone to quickly rate or flag images was one of the best features of the mobile app, and was one of the things I used it the most for because it was so convenient I could do it anywhere. They way it was before was really perfect, giving equal and easy access to edit, rate, tag, and info, and keeping the selected workflow as you move between the grid and detail view. I’m definitely using the app less now, it feels much clunkier and not as seamless as it was before. Disappointing

Pocket Lightroom. Easy access to all the most used tools, good layout, easy organization. All in all, very happy with the app. My only request would be for better layout for when you’re adjusting some type of tool, but you’re blocking the view of the photo either with the toolbar from the bottom or with your thumb. Maybe there’s some way that the toolbar could always disappear whenever you move a slider and you can keep changing that slider by moving your finger left and right, and then double tap to bring the toolbar back up? I don’t know, y’all will figure it out. Thank you ! Strongly recommend the app

New update partially ruined the app.. Unnecessarily moved the “apply from previous photo”. Previous location of that feature was a much smoother access. The new “Blur” section is a nice addition, but it’s in the middle of everything where it shouldn’t be. Previously, I would give the app a 5 star but again, these changes moved things around when it wasn’t necessary, and a new feature being poorly placed in the center of everything. The flow isn’t completely ruined but not preferred. App is slow to load the editing feature (every time I swipe to each photo) often now since the new update, and yes have tried restarting phone, closing background apps, restarting app, etc.

Library Landscape Orientation. Hello! I would like to start off by saying that this app is fantastic and does nearly everything that I would need to do in terms of photo editing on my iPhone. The one thing that I have found recently that I didn’t know that I needed until now is the ability to have the photo library section be able to rotate into landscape orientation. For some reason the library section is the only area within the app that does not support landscape. It would be really nice and quite useful if this could be added for iPhone users since I tend to edit all of my photos holding my phone in the landscape orientation. I hope maybe this could be considered in a future update. -Thank you!

Must have … Go to… Daily app. This app is perfect for me and my needs as a professional photographer and car enthusiast. I enjoy taking photographs, videos, and going through various stages in the editing process. This works and just simply does what it supposed to do and is well suited for the amateur to the novice and professional levels. It can do wonders with little action needed by you or you can crank it up and do your own edits. I do wish they offered a one time purchase fee but for now I’ll settle and continue paying for the subscription.

I love this but cannot find older imported photos. This app is great for editing except for the fact that when you import a photo it won’t automatically show up at the top. So when I find an old phot I want to edit and import it I would have to scroll through thousands of pictures to find it since it automatically imports by the date it was taken. I end up opting out of editing and sharing or even printing older photos I really love because once I get them into the Lightroom app I cannot find them. I wish they would make an option to import by date importing into Lightroom and not date taken.

Good start. Adobe has established a new cloud based infrastructure that appears to be a solid start. Not as elegant as Photos, it offers many more features in terms of organization and asset management. Adobe’s challenge will be to quickly improve, optimize, and add features in the crowded and feature rich photo cloud storage market while charging a premium price. Obviously the best user for this app are those who are already using Lightroom desktop. Unfortunately Adobe has created avoidable confusion in their poorly handled naming of their Lightroom ecosystem: as an example it is nearly impossible to do specific Google searching on a LR product.

Awesome app! Pros and cons.. Fantastic app, but there are a couple of things I would have changed. The big one for me is that of after taking a couple of pictures, if I’m in camera mode, I can’t view my picture then swipe to see the other pictures I’ve taken. I think that functionality would add to the experience and make it more user friendly. I love the photo editing capabilities and the user-defined presets, but the feature I’m most fond of is the camera. Awesome flexibility and control. Works much better than the default camera on iPhone. I love being able to control my focal point manually as well as being able to see a visualization of what is in focus. Beautifully well done. I love it.

Learn Tab and Tutorials Removed?. Upon opening the app after a few weeks, I could not find the tutorials for beginners. After doing some searching online, I found that Adobe removed them completely from the mobile version of the app. This is extremely disappointing as I was getting so much out of them and went through so many, with intent to revisit them if I needed a refresher. To find out now that tutorials are only offered on desktop makes me want to stop using the app. I don’t want to have to sit at a desk in a room to read about how to edit photos. I very much enjoyed the ability to have the hands on experience on my iPad ON THE GO since I’m very rarely home. This really ruins the whole app for me and defeats the purpose. Please put this feature back on mobile how it was a few weeks ago. :(

Imported pictures I didn’t want. When I went into the mobile app on my phone to save it to my camera roll, I went to edit a picture because I was bored. I was VERY DISPLEASED when it imported 15 of my most recent photos from my iPhone camera role. I wish there was a way to DELETE photos from the cloud. I am a student who is paying for the creative cloud option and it’s a lot to pay for. I don’t want to pay for storage of stuff I don’t want taking up storage. This is a problem that needs to be fixed because I didn’t choose to import them. Adobe software it would be great if you could help me take the photos off of my cloud and maybe even develop a way to delete the photos. Thank you for reading ( if you did )

Best editing app gone south!. This was literally the only app I used to edit my photos and I was so happy with it. Recently I had to uninstall my app because I couldn’t access it properly and then installed it again. I even repurchased my subscription and they took my money and now they are showing the glitch every time I try to to use Any feature that was supposed to be available, because I PURCHASED IT!! I mean seriously this is so disappointing. Now not only I lost my money but also my favourite editing app! I hope they do something about as soon as possible!

Great tool! Especially after iPhone X upgrade. Thank you adobe! I loved this app on my 6s plus but was initially grieved after iOS 11.1/.2 broke it for me, along with app switching and general speed problems. The crashing later cleared up (maybe weeks to stabilize?) but was slow. Now - I just upgraded to iPhone X and everything is super speedy! including lr edit auto mode that used to take forever. App switch is nice now! So if you see same thing I think it’s maybe iOS upgrade, - or the restore process that resolved it (I don’t think it was planned to break but was frustrating, no recourse or hint on solution). Great app and I love it!

Almost. Downloading maximum available size for sharing literally takes forever. Says "This might take a while" even after 15 minutes of it sitting there. My internet is fine. The full resolution just never downloads. Used to work. Don't know what the problem is now? Overall the features are great and the app syncs well with the desktop app too. Wish there was an option to download full resolution pictures for a certain album or for your whole library onto your device. I have 256 GB of storage on my iPhone and iPad. I'd like to be able to take advantage of that and have these full resolution pictures on my device and give me the option to store them or not.

Constantly crashes. I feel like this is an easy editing tool to use, but probably best to save your money on the monthly subscription. This app regularly crashes and always has. I’ve used it for over three years and about half the time I open it to use it after a little while, it’ll crash. Usually it happens when I open the camera. Sometimes I can get away with using it without crashing for a few versions, but every two updates or so it’ll crash every time you have the app open for a bit. It’s really frustrating because I use this for deadlines and then have to resort to using my native editing on iOS and it is nowhere near as good. Having the paid version doesn’t save you from the crashing issue.

Great editing app with issues. I enjoy using Lightroom for editing my photos and adding a watermark to each before I share on social media. However I do not like having all of my photos in Lightroom and I don’t know how to change that setting. I used to be able to upload individual photos that I wanted to edit and share. Now it pulls in all 100,000 of my photos and I cannot find the photos that I want to share easily. There is no search feature. I wish I could delete all of my photos and go back to pulling in the ones I want to edit and share, or search for keywords or dates. If that was possible, I would give a five star review.

Lightroom Mobile app does not sync with Lightroom Classic. When I upload photos into Lightroom CC, they will sync in LR mobile app. However, if I make an edit to the photo in LR Mobile app, those edits will not always sync to the LR CC desktop. It appears everything works if it originates from my desktop version and feeds to the mobile LR, but not the other way. I have the latest versions installed on all of my devices. I even deleted Lightroom from my computer completely and started over with a fresh install and catalog. This did not solve the issue. We’ve had this problem for 4 months now. As professional full time photographers, our entire workflow has been dead in the water. Adobe support is either unable or unwilling to help us fix the problem. Either way, their communication with us over this time has been unacceptable and practically non-existent.

4 Stars Reduced to 1 Star By Crippling Bug. I’ve been using LR for well over a decade and have been mostly happy with the iOS app. Sadly, it doesnt support smart collections, which is a huge pain, but manageable if you understand that limitation. However, since January, I’ve had huge issues with the sync functions between LrMobile and LrClassic that have crippled my workflow. No support from Adobe beyond suggesting the things I’ve already explained I’ve tried. I get that not all users are very savvy and that there are scripted workups, but walking through hours of basic troubleshooting before reaching the same massive roadblock I explained at the outset doesn’t inspire much confidence. If I can ever sync my photos again, I’ll revisit this and go back to 4 stars (5 if we finally see smart collections).

not user friendly, time consuming to use. I pay for Lightroom on my computer so I also get the app. Being that this is a premium paid app I would expect it to be better as far as features and easier to use than comparable free apps like Snapseed. Snapseed is hands-down a better photo editing app and no matter how much I try to edit photos on Lightroom I always find myself going back to Snapseed because it is just so much easier to use and make quick edits on the go. The feature I hate most on Lightroom app is the brush tool. I have tried time and again to use it and I cannot figure out how to use it properly. Snapseed brush tool is very easy to use and I can quickly edit great looking photos on that app. Light room developers please fix the brush feature on the app, it is terrible!

Not enough options. I’m giving it a 3 star because I’ve had very good experiences with the ease of editing. My only problem is how many options are locked and need to be payed for. I understand that they have some of the more advanced features (for mobile atleast) needing pay so that they can make money, but when even some of the most simple features like: healing brush, batch editing, and blur need payment, it gets annoying. Now I have to edit my photos, export them to a different app that does have these features for free, and then continue the editing there. Overall, great for simple all around edits, but nothing in depth. Remove the paywall from the basic features, and you get a five star.

Nice Editing App, but ..... Everything about the editing portion of the app is great. My mobile workstation is complete! Than you Adobe Lightroom, developer team. 🤘🏽 Edit: removing “That section of the app works flawlessly in my phone. The troubling part of the app is the lack of control over the photo sync. I’d like to be able to tell Lightroom mobile NOT to upload every photo on my phone - just the ones I choose. Once “All Photo Sync” is enabled you can’t turn it off. And it floods your creative account with all your photos from your phone. It’s a bit intrusive, and is eating up my CC cloud space usage. Fix this, Adobe!” The developer responded and told me how to tuen off this feature.

Widget is broken. No issues with Lightroom other than the widget no longer works in iOS 15. From the home page or Lock Screen, I swipe right and usually tapping on the widget icon would bring up the Lightroom camera ready to shoot. Now all it does is open the app, but the camera is inaccessible. I have to close the program and restart it to actually shoot a photo. Tried contacting Adobe, but their website is so user unfriendly that I gave up. Update: the widget seems to be working properly after 2 days of the above. Didn’t change anything so not sure what was going on. Thanks to Adobe for contacting me.

Phenomenal Software. As a photographer, this editing software has become my go-to tool in my daily workflow. Its seamless integration into my routine allows me to finesse and perfect my images effortlessly. The convenience of its features doesn't compromise on its powerful editing capabilities, giving me the precision and control I need for my projects. Moreover, the frequent updates continuously elevate my editing experience, introducing new tools that align perfectly with my creative vision. This software has undeniably become an indispensable asset in my photography toolkit.

Lightroom, My Hero. I’ve been using Lightroom mobile for a couple of years now. Although I’ve had the free version for the past two years, I’ve decided to upgrade recently and I’m floored by the ease in use. I can now seamlessly edit on the go and, when I get home to my laptop, I can make more “tuned” edits at leisure. It’s really freeing to go back and forth between the two versions but Lightroom mobile has been my go-to for my photography edits. I really learned how to use the basics through the given tutorials and now I feel much more confident in my work—though strictly personal and amateur. Do not regret subscribing!

Could be terrific, but.... Attempting to import from a CF card, via USB-C card reader, directly into Lightroom is one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. Lightroom continually loses connection with the card reader, so even while I’m simply doing a pre-cull (not bothering to import photos with closed eyes, etc.), the import screen will go away and kick me back out to the main Lightroom library view... and then the import screen will come back up. I feel certain this is a Lightroom issue as I can just hop over into the Files app in iPadOS, drag my images into a “For Import” folder, and then import from there. But that’s incredibly inefficient. Three stars for the app being available and when it DOES work after the backdoor import, it’s fantastic. But a flagship feature (direct importing) needs to get fixed somehow.

Can’t use anymore. I love love love using Lightroom to edit photos. But, over the past few months, I have barely been able to use it because each time I do, my phone starts to over heat, the app forces me out, and I lose all of my edits. I’ve been looking online and the only solution I’ve found is to put an ice pack under my phone while I edit, or delete and reinstall the app. Neither of these worked. My app is updated as well as my phone. It was working fine for the first year I had it, and then within the last few months, barely works. I really hope the app creators find a solution to this because this is my favorite app to edit photos but it’s just screwing up my phone and is practically unusable lately.

For the photo editing obsessed!. I have several photo editing apps on my iPhone, and I have my favorites. I have a few favorites that I use in combination (I layer) to create AMAZING photos! Artwork, really. Lightroom Creative Cloud allows me to bend and shape and color, and add light upon (without overexposing) my photographs - and the objects within them - in ways that the other apps will not. LCC is a photo corrector and enhancer. Hmm. Not sure how to explain. Often I do not realize my photos need any correction at all. Give it a shot. LCC allows you a free trial period and then monthly payments without a cancellation fee. I am still learning (I bought an instructional book); however, I am having a blast along the way!

Top Tier Editing Software 🤩. I first started using Lightroom for free and it only got me so far with my photography but when I upgraded to premium it allowed me to do so much more. Lightroom is not the only app I have used in my work but what sets Lightroom apart from the rest of the competition is the ease that comes with the use of it. I can quickly get inspiration from the many templates and tools that you will be able to explore. I definitely recommend anyone who is new to editing to check it out or even those who are experienced in their craft. Keep on creating and thank you Lightroom for being apart of the journey 😁

Amazing App. This is easily the best photo editing app available. The tools are unmatched and the personalization is crazy. I can make shots from my iPhone go from meh to cinematic by dragging a few sliders. Albeit this app is best used by professionals or people who have Lightroom experience, it’s not too difficult to learn. Once you learn it though, you can make your photos look insanely good. Most editing apps just have their presets that don’t look good on everything, but this app lets you change anything and everything to take your photo in any direction you want. 👌🏻

Doesn’t sync. I made a few edits in Lightroom classic on my desktop and when I went to open them on mobile, they refused to sync the edits over the course of 3 days of resetting and googling. I tried to just reset them from the side dialogue, but then while I was working they would reset again and say that there are edits from desktop such and such not syncing. I had to go through on my desktop and reset every photo I’ve edited on my desktop because there was no way to tell it not to sync and the stupid program was holding my photos hostage. Don’t offer sync if you can’t actually sync, that was a huge waste of time and just another reason I’m looking to get away from adobe and their ridiculous subscription prices.

Great on newer phones. Love the Lightroom mobile app, however updated technology is best. My iPhone 8 could BARELY keep up with it. My phone would get extremely hot- and the app would become slower and take forever loading on adjustments during editing, uploading etc. With an updated iPhone (12mini) and newer processor core, and the Lightroom app is fantastic, fast and the new updates give even more options to take photos from good, to inspired. I am excited to be able to edit so quickly now with the updated tech! I appreciate that a 2012 MacBook and iPhone 8 could still run the program, but it was becoming near impossible to accomplish a batch of photos without it taking hours and hours to process.

Really good when it works but it rarely does. I got this to edit high quality videos on my phone. I love video leap but it seems to degrade the quality. I love the video presets and editing capabilities but most of the videos that I try to load get stuck on a preview and when I search for a solution it’s just countless other people experiencing the same problem with no customer service. I wish this app worked. It works with video shot on my phone but if I import it from final cut it won’t work. Disappointed to be deleting this app :( if someone has a solution please let me know. <3

Lightroom is not like it used to be. Lightroom used to be easy to use and user friendly but there are features added recently that make it very frustrating and hard to use since it’s heavily reliant on AI. Mostly the healing tool. It used to be manual to use specific areas of the photo to sample from to cover with the healing tool on any highlighted area. Now it’s the same one used in Photoshop where you highlight an area of the photo and you have no control over what it results in because an AI decides what it thinks should be changed and a lot of the time it is very muddy in appearance and a lot of the time is not at all what I’d want sampled. This used to be my favorite photo editing app and I used it all the time but anymore it’s just too difficult and frustrating.

Solid app - very helpful for quick edits. I use Lightroom to edit every photo that I post. I’m not great at photography, but I love taking pictures. This app really helps me clean up my photos, even if my lighting is off or if my skin is having an off day…etc. I also appreciate the presets. There are a lot already loaded in, but I’ve also bought/downloaded some presets for quick edits. Some improvements could be made as far as masking…but this is a mobile app so my expectations might be too high. For now, when I have photos that need more precise corrections I just use the full version of Lightroom on my laptop. Which leads to the one caveat I might have: I’m not sure if this app would be as easy for me to use if I wasn’t familiar with the full version of Lightroom. So this app might not be user friendly for non-Adobe suite beginners. Overall I have no real complaints and expect to continue using Lightroom mobile for the foreseeable future.

Works well with LIghtroom classic. As the subject says it integrates very well with Lightroom classic doesn’t have quite all the features but to be able to work on a one image across two different apps seamlessly is fantastic especially when all I can have to do is open up my Lightroom app on my phone and show somebody some of my work or even go find an old photo that someone’s interested in apply different edits to it if needed and do all of this while traveling. I don’t upload my Camera phone photos to Lightroom classic so I just use the Lightroom app in my phone to edit some of those photos that I intend to share.

Change is hard but this is great. Adobe recently updated their photography offering and it’s a big change. The desktop software is simplified but the biggest change is cloud storage and seamless editing across all devices. This is what I’ve been waiting for. The is parity for the most part across all devices and I no long have to worry about where my photos are stored or if they are backed up. It should be noted that I am not a professional photographer so my workflow is that of an advanced armature. I’m sure that has an affect of my opinion but in that capacity I highly recommend.

Recent UI changes are a serious step back. The editing capabilities in this app are generally great, and I used to love using it. But the recent changes to the UI of the mobile app have me avoiding it in favor of the desktop experience. The version management is now behind the undo button and adjacent to the reset button making it difficult to access to quickly compare edits which is so important when creatively experimenting. I am literally scared whenever accessing this function that I might undo or reset the image. The rating system is now within the image action menu, and it is impossible to switch out to the grid view and then directly back to the rating. This makes culling images extremely painful. Last, the two panels that are now at the bottom are a waste of space compared with the single panel that it was in the past. Who is making these UX decisions? Please make it easier to access versioning, allow direct access to the rating function, and revert the two-panel design or make a compact option for those who want to quickly navigate to different modes without going through a two-step process.

Really disappointed with current update. This has been one of my favorite editing apps of all time!! It has so many great options and is pretty easy to use up until recently, the newest update has really made uploading and editing photos very difficult. You used to be able to batch upload several photos and then scroll between each photo which made editing much faster. Now, if you batch upload I have no idea how to get back to just those photos without it going to all your photos and you absolutely cannot scroll between. This is incredibly inconvenient when editing multiple photos at once. I wished I never upgraded and am really struggling with this app now because it just takes so long to navigate! Please fix this immediately!!!

Great app for beginner and advanced photo editing. At first, I will be the type of person who would only use a DSLR camera and only transfer my raw photos to Lightroom classic on my laptop. After getting the iPhone 15 Pro and capturing raw photos on my phone I knew that I needed aediting app and I used the Lightroom app to edit all my photos for my Disney trip and it worked just as well as Lightroom classic. Definitely would recommend for any type of photos that you would like to edit though the app works faster with raw photos.

Sync/download issues. The app gets stuck on downloading/syncing raw files from my library which has made the app useless for editing anything other than iOS photos already on the device. I’ve tried deleting/reinstalling the app, signing out and back in, force quitting the app, etc. nothing has worked. Please fix these awful sync problems. I have no issues syncing/downloading on Lightroom classic for PC/Mac. UPDATE: the Lightroom sync issue was fixed, but it’s been replaced with even more bugs. Now the RAW files on my phone (stored locally) won’t even load. Very disappointing considering this is Adobe, and that I pay monthly for a subscription and I can’t even use this app properly.

Only way to sync iphone albums to MacBook. Long time Aperture user with sync of photos to iphone. Over the years have built out pretty extensive albums on my phone. While I love all things Apple - recently it’s been trying. I’m a die hard and have been with Apple for 30+ years. So here’s where Apple is a let down. Abandoned Aperture. Photos is a poor substitute. Limitations : can’t sync Aperture sourced photos to iCloud. Can’t sync iPhone albums via finder. There is no way to simply transfer the iPhone albums to a Mac. Except through Lightroom. Not perfect but pretty close and better than the alternative; which is to just nuke all and start over. Lightroom Mobile allows you to nicely create LR albums and then sync those to Lightroom Classic on my Mac. Not perfect in the they end up as collections and if you have screen prints in your albums those are not sync’d because they are treated differently. But all-in-all - a lifesaver. And I’m so glad I’ve been an Adobe CC user for a long time and have access to their apps. Nicely done Adobe!

Cloud: good; search functions: weak.. Facial recognition capability is good. Search function are rudimentary. One cannot find pictures of “Alice AND Bob”. One can find pictures of Alice or pictures of Bob, but not the intersection. Edit functions are also minimal. The cloud centric focus is very nice. Initial upload of my 1tb data is painful. If you’ve kept your photos organized in a hierarchical folder system, that’s all lost during import, so it seems you’re stuck with creating folders and albums in LR and importing one directory folder at a time. Very time consuming. It’s an ‘ok’ system but I hope Adobe sees the light and tuned up the search capability.

It was 5-star...until I subscribed. Adobe prompted me to upgrade to a subscription, which I did, because I love this app and wanted to use all features possibly available for editing my RAW images. I’m locked out of editing any pictures at all now. I can’t even use basic features like changing exposure, etc. Every time I try to edit, it says I have to upgrade, but then tells me I’ve already upgraded. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It didn’t help. This is maddening and is completely screwing me over for editing photographs for my business. I’m doing product photography right now for my website for my fall launch. I’m going to have to figure out a different app but I doubt I can get them to look the same as when I use LR. Can someone in support PLEASE HELP ME?!? I’ve tried contacting support but can’t. This is a big deal for me.

iOS version is still buggy and missing simple features. Just this week on my iPad. I was trying to use a clone mask, actually any of the masks for cloning, healing, or replacing, and when I would select an area with my finger, or my pencil, it would be replaced with a rectangular box instead of just fixing that part of the image. It never used to do this before. I’m not sure why it’s doing it now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times already. Also, the search function is really limited. I have probably a couple hundred different albums, that I reference frequently, but there is no way to search for albums on iOS. This seems like a big miss and a simple fix.

Excellent!. I love Lightroom CC. I used to edit and organize my DSLR photos in Bridge and Camera Raw on my laptop, but now I have changed my whole workflow and I couldn’t be happier with it. I can load my photos directly to my iPad Pro and the editing is so fast and pleasant I don’t even need a computer in the mix. However, whatever I upload to LR CC is automatically downloaded to my PC and also stored there (in case something happens and one can’t access the cloud, this is my paranoia backup.) I also use it frequently on my phone, when I want to edit a photo on the go and upload it to IG. Love it!

The BEST photography app ever. Period.. I use Lightroom primarily on my iPad, because I travel a lot and it’s easier than lugging around my laptop, and I find the experience of editing in the iPad more enjoyable. Although this is by far the best photo editing app around, it’s lacking just a few things that would put it on par with the desktop version. The main thing for me is the inability to manually select lens profiles. I used a lot of manual lenses that are not electronically connected to my camera, and it would be AWESOME if you guys could add the ability to manually select a lens profile correction like you can on the desktop. If you added this, the app would be perfect in every way for my needs.

Pretty good but missing a key feature. I really like Lightroom for editing my photos, but I wish I could organize my presets once I have them saved. Sometimes I accidentally save a preset to the wrong folder and instead of being able to just move it, I have to go through the save process again and then delete the one that was saved in the wrong folder. This seems like a pretty basic feature, especially since they created the folder system to organize presets, so I’m not sure why it’s not already included. I would also like to see the option to import multiple files to the library at once, but since the import file opens up apple’s file browser I’m not sure if it’s something adobe can add.

To developers. I really love this app, it's editing capabilities are amazing and it's all I use because I cannot afford a decent laptop or computer at the time for the desktop version. I realized you have to have a monthly subscription to the creative cloud to use selective editing and I understand why, but I have no use for the creative cloud at the moment and I wish there was a way to get selective edits with a 1 time purchase. To be honest I wouldn't care if it was 10 or 20 bucks I think it's worth it because there is nothing like it on the appstore right now. Please consider the people who only use a mobile device for editing, most of us don't need the creative cloud or just can't afford it monthly. Thank you for such a great app.

Please add “download all originals” option. It would be very helpful to those of us who do a lot of flying if you would add an option that allows a single click “download all originals to local storage,” so that we can edit photos when off-line on the plane. Offline editing is currently possible through local storage, but you have to swipe through all the images first to make sure that the originals have been downloaded to local storage. That can be a very time-consuming process. Otherwise, the app is terrific and I continue to enjoy the quality updates. Keep up the good work!

So many right things but.... I love this app for so many reasons but then there are some issues that keep it from greatness. It bites it’s own hand off so to speak. Pros - Adobe Sensei aka artificial intelligence rocks! I never did proper keywording and this is a life saver. It even recognizes original color in my black & whites when doing a color search. - Rating, flagging, and keywording 1 image is super easy and quick - Editing is basic but perfect for on the go - syncs most things with Lightroom Classic and CC desktop - amazing interface and image rendering Cons - you can only rate 1 image at a time. - Does not sync keywords! - With that said, I’d love the ability to use the sensei feature and quickly flag 1000s of images and then add keywords in Classic but rating 5,000 sky images 1 at a time is unreasonable to say the least. - If only the sensei feature was added to the original Lightroom that loyal followers are used to using and already have all their catalogs organized it would out of this world. In summary why have such powerful features split and make us choose? If that’s not possible with current technology then at least make this app have the ability to utilize it to work back and forth.
