For the free version: PROS: it works. The user interface is fine. For the questions it's willing to answer, it's answers them well. It doesn't crash your phone. NITPICKS: The keyboard is... serviceable. It's a bit cramped, and two of the bottom rows have four different 3-page scrolling things (it's difficult to describe because of how weird it is). I can't give it too much grief for that, given how much more space a regular keyboard has over a smartphone. If you want big buttons on a calculator, get a TI-84 or something. Also, it can't do indeterminate forms? Maybe? If it can, I can't figure out how. CONS: In the FREE VERSION: • Ads. Every time you solve an equation, you get an ad. • You don't get to see the steps, unlike on the website. It's a small thing, but it's significant. • It doesn't work offline. If this is a free version only issue, then that's fine. But something tells me it isn't. You aren't downloading a calculator, you're downloading a thing that grabs the answer from an online source. That, or its to make sure Symbolab gets that sweet ad revenue. If only one or two of these cons were present, I wouldn't have even written a review. It's the combination of all three that really grinds my gears. Additionally: - In app, it says that the $7 paid version is a "one time purchase." However, I've seen multiple recent reviews claiming that it's "$7 per month." If true, then the app straight up lies to you.
too hard to find the calculator u need
One aspect of this program on the web was that it allowed you to view the steps involved in solving a problem. The app will only allow you to see the steps for a $6.99 fee. What is even more annoying is that it says "to see all steps advertisement free..upgrade." But there is no choice to see the steps free with advertisements! Terrible!
First off; they force you to use their IOS application. Understandable, but I'd like to be able to use the website WITHOUT the app. Please; if you listen to feedback, fix this.
Sure it’ll give you the answer easily, but you have to pay in order to see the steps to understand how it was solved. What a crock.
Ads are too annoying when you are trying to make a quick calculation
This app has been a lifesaver! It's easy to use and has full explanations. Much better than any other app I've tried!
The user interface is an absolute pain to navigate as well as in inputting questions.
Paid $7 for the steps and it literally just repeated the problem. I can't click the graph and see what points are graphed. Kind of hard to see exactly the plot points when you having it going to 50 in 10 squares.
Works great, only downside is you have to pay $7.00/month if you want to see the steps in solving the problem. At least it gives the answers for free. I'm happy my teacher doesn't make me show my work!
Didn't answer my question properly, and when it asked me for a one time payment of $11 for steps, I was a bit frustrated, you should make the app more easy to use. I'm deleting it
My daughter loves this app. Helps a lot. Explanations are very clear.
This is ok... But there is no "x" times symbol
Doesn't have the same features as the website Not worth it
This app is so bad, it just gives you the answer and you have to pay 10.99 for the steps! do not buy this or download it, this reminds of EA and their money hungry studio, nek yourself symbolab
This program is a lemon! Connection fails repeatedly half way through yours studies leaving you hanging. I want my money back!
Great calculator best cheating experience thanks for making this 5/5
Worth every cent. This calculator offers step by step explanations to your problems. Highly recommended.
Considering that this calculator is free by using their website, I would not pay for this
This app is excellent. I even forked out the $6 so I could see the solutions which have been invaluable. Warning though, if you purchase the solutions the license is only for 1 device not across multiple devices which is very disappointing 😩
Constant loading after the answer has been provided. WHY?!?! Annoying and not worth the price.
En pc es mejor por que no cobran
Skip this product won't let you see the steps until you pay 699. You can get the exact same features simply through the browser online which works at million times better.
I have used it for a long time and the only problems I have found were rarely in integrals
The best answers you could get for solving any mathematical equations The use of the key pad a bit difficult but as an overall it's great 👌🏼
Keyboard on iphone 7 not full size
Please allow for more complex equations. Some of my problems came up as: No Steps Available.
The app is great it can do so much more than any online site but I can't figure out how to make it solve for a specific variable if it doesn't have that capability then I would love for it to be added. Thanks love this app!
Don't know about other parts but all features for calculus work very well-- can do Taylor's, check convergence/divergence, generate convergence interval for power series, implicit derivatives, multi variable, etc
The concept of the app is great. What more can you need than a single app that can help with math problems? Unfortunately, when the app is confusing to use and offers features that do not work, there's really no point to installing this app. I suggest using Photomath.
