I LOVE THIS APP. I usually go into workout apps with a closed mind, thinking they're gonna be hard to keep up with or the same boring workouts every day. Instead I was pleasantly surprised by this app, recommended to me by a friend. This app has great workouts where you can chose your trainer, your area of focus in which you want to lose weight or gain muscle, and it has nice music as well as explanations for each workout. For a low price of 5 dollars a month, this app provides you with personalized meal suggestions and recipes for all three meals of the day as well as a snack, which you can edit based on your dietary preferences or allergies, and they are tons of options to chose from if you’re a picky eater. It also provides you with a shopping list to help make your life a little easier 😉. It also helps you to track your weight and get to your desired goal, your ideal body. I’m extremely impressed with this app and I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants to lose weight, tone up, or gain muscle. Thank you 8fit

Healed what doctors couldn’t. I am 38, 6’1”, 180 lbs, tennis player, went to college on tennis scholarship. For the last 10 years I have had intense knee pain. I have gone to multiple doctors who couldn’t see a problem. I have completed physical therapy but and take medications but no cure. I found 8fit and decided to follow the free program for a few weeks for general fitness. Miraculously, one of the first things I noticed was my knee pain was diminishing. After about a month my pain was completely gone! I guess my muscles were out of balance and causing stress on my joints. My own limited knowledge of exercise might have been contributing to my pain. But the well rounded and balanced program offered by 8fit healed the pain that I had dealt with for a decade and doctors were not able to cure. Thanks 8fit.

Too many bugs to be worth it. Save your money and spare yourself the headache. I paid for the premium version a couple of weeks ago and have already canceled my subscription. There are so many bugs. I was really looking forward to the meals, adaptability of the meals, recipes, and shopping lists. While the recipes themselves aren’t bad the glitches are infuriating. I spend 10 minutes customizing several days of meals and snacks and then generate a shopping list and the list includes a bunch of items from the meals I’d changed from. Then the meals and snacks just randomly reset themselves. The meals on my “Today” screen don’t match what is listed for today on my “Plan” page. I try to log meals and even if they first register as “done” they reset and nothing gets logged. It’s so annoying. I’m only still using it because I paid for three months and can’t get my money back. There’s so many more irritating things I could list but I’ve already wasted way too much time on this app to bother.

Part is great and part needs improvements. I paid for the full membership with meal planning, but am finding the meal planning pretty useless. The exercise portion is great, but I'm now regretting paying for the meal planning because it is not user friendly. Here's the primary problem. It does not give the user any choice in its meal suggestions and only mostly listens to your preferences when you selected what ingredients you do not want in your meals. For instance someone in my household cannot eat nuts, and every week I get at least one recipe hay still has nuts in it. Additionally changing out the meals they suggested and already placed on your shopping list can be a hassle because you must exchange each meal individually. If I hate one suggestion and they have it in my meal plan 3 times a week I have to remove each one on its own. To this company: Your meal planning services need to be changed to take more user input. Maybe change your program to have your users pick from a set of 10 suggested recipes before you place them into a meal plan to reduce dissatisfaction regarding choices and dietary preferences. Let us pick from your nutritious meal choices and save your users much more time. Without the option of choice, I'm feeling like I wasted $60 on this app membership.

I HATE exercise but LOVE this program!!. Woo Hoo! Fit 8 is the program for you if, like me, you hate to exercise or you have limited time! It’s super effective! Fit 8 moves you through the exercises (which are reasonably different and fun but best of all super effective!) quickly so you don’t get bored, and the results are amazing! After my first workout I thought, ‘That was doable (ie not boring), and pretty easy. Maybe I set it too easy?’ But NO! I was feeling it the next day in a good way! This short little program had me feeling tighter, standing and sitting straighter the next day! Because my body felt more toned right away I found I want to eat better, even when I’m faced with some sugary delight (I’m a sucker for a gooey pastry)! I’m hooked! Ordinarily I can find a million and one reasons to have no time to workout, but Fit 8 makes me actually WANT to continue. I do it as soon as I get up in the morning because it’s so quick it’s easy to fit into my schedule and energizes me, putting me in a positive frame of mind because I feel like I’m accomplishing something that’s making me healthier and that I’ve never accomplished before (remember, I HATE exercise)! I can’t believe I look forward to the next day’s workout! ME?? Yeah, ME!! Thank you, thank you, Fit 8!

Love this ap!. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years. I’m nearly done with my second round through the program. I love that they’ve added classes nearly every day and different challenges. There’s also so many different circuits to choose from - a variety of hiit, Pilates, yoga, light weights, boxing, etc. If I don’t feel like doing my program, I change it up and pick a class or another circuit to try. I don’t use the meals regularly. I have tried some of the meals and have liked the ones I’ve tried. I like that they tailor the recipes to the calories you should be eating. It does make you think more about calories if you’re trying to lose weight. Overall I’ve been very happy using this app.

Hard but worth it. I have a past of working with personal trainers and doing (very slow) sprint triathlons... then I got sick, very sick with a combination of inflammatory bowel disease, psoriatic arthritis and increasingly sever kidney failure. Now at 74 some of those are effectively treated but my diabetes after 10+ years of control by medication diet and exercise can no longer be controlled with medication which is contraindicated by my kidney failure. (The kidney failure began as “a side effect “ of an interaction by 2 prescribed medications) The healthiest I have been in about 6 years, I have lost weight and feel better but need to start to challenging exercise again.. with a “helper” and this creative program seems to be a good fit. I already have improved my balance, my leg and arm strength. I can rise from a chair without help, I can get down on the floor and get up again and I have the ability with crutches to walk greater distances without hip pain. If you WANT to succeed in becoming more physically fit this program will help. The only way to fail is to stop doing! Go and do!

It’s Ok.. This app is really helpful if you want to eat healthy. The workouts are also really nice. The only downside is that you have to click next whenever you are done with a certain workout. It’s kind of annoying. Also, with the meal plan; if I say I only want meal-prep and easy meals they still give me meals that take like 20-30 minutes. And if I don’t want to eat something I have to change it for like 3 days in a row, not just once. The biggest thing for me is that I cannot see past workouts that I’ve done or past meals that I’ve eaten. I would like to track that stuff. The calendar does show that you’ve done something, but not what you’ve done. I’d like to go back and see what I did. It’s kind of frustrating to work with, but it does keep me on track. I will most likely go with something else later.

Love this app, but .... I do love this app and even recommend it to others, but why does it keep losing my place in the workouts?! It’s happened several times now that I open it up to start my next workout and it is prompting me to choose my program. I don’t usually remember which program I’m in so I have to guess where to pick up again. It does the same with the menus and often is prompting me to pick a start date :( I live the addition of the sleep meditations and would also like to see meditations to start the day! Lastly - how do we pronounce this app name?! 😂 I’m not sure if it’s “eight-fit” or possibly “infinity-fit”? And if “eight-fit”, why? What’s the meaning? Makes it hard when I’m telling people about it when I don’t know what to call it :)

It’s okay. I do like the app, however they really need to have the person sampling the exercise do the whole thing. Some of the exercises require you to do them on both sides and the girl never switches sides so you either have to move on and do the other side after the workout is over, or just be lopsided. It would also be helpful to sample the girl doing the exercise before you start on the timer. Sometimes the exercise requires a table and I’m scrambling to find one the right size in the middle of the exercise (it tells you what the exercise is in a summary at the beginning, but doesn’t show you how you are actually using the object). Also, letting you know prior to the program that you will need certain supplies like light weights would be helpful so I could actually purchase them before the workout.

Bugs plus decreased features. I used to love this app for a few reasons, but now it seems like the latest update has taken away half of those. I downloaded this app over a year ago, and the workout portions have definitely improved over time. However one of my favorite parts of the app was the step counter - it updated more frequently than the Health app, and let me be super nerdy comparing dates and % to goal. Now it doesn’t feel quite right, but more importantly, I can only do an eyeball comparison of past dates. Moreover, I can’t update my weight - in fact it won’t even let me delete past dates’ entries which have randomly appeared. I’ve lost 6 pounds since I last entered my weight, but it just won’t accept anything I enter! I’ve tried killing and restarting the app, restarting my phone, and the bugs only seem to get worse. What’s the point of a weight loss / exercise app that doesn’t let you even track progress?

Incredible. I honestly can't speak highly enough of this app. I have lost 10lbs in about a month and a half, and I'm looking very toned. The meal plan is a godsend. I transitioned into vegetarianism about six months ago and it was really hard at first to know what to cook. This app changed everything. I now have SO many fantastic vegetarian recipes that are healthy and truly delicious. The workouts are dope too. They tend to be HIIT type of workouts that are 10-15mins and require no equipment. That was perfect for me because I work a full time job and I'm in grad school, so can't spend two hours at the gym. This app was advertised to me and I'm so glad that I decided to check it out. Worth every penny.

BritlnNC reply. You can always screenshot the recipes and then you can email them to yourself, blow them up to any size you need at that point. Or, just highlight, copy them and paste them onto a word document that you can again blow up to whatever size that you need to view them or at minimum you can do the same and paste the recipes in the body of your email and then make it as big as you need. I hope this helps because I agree it is a great app! And it’s the kind you can use for any type result you want from recipes, calorie counting to getting the best exercise for your time. Pretty user friendly as well once you take time to navigate around and get used to it like any app.

Good food, great exercises, friendly coaches. I’ve been using this app for almost 6 months and in considerably stronger and have more energy. While my eating habits still aren’t perfect - the food is good and does not feel like you’re on a diet as the portion sizes are GENEROUS. The exercises level up as you do - from the beginning to what looks downright impossible - you’re able to progress through the program as long as you do them consistently. Did I mention I lost weight. Yes. Yes I did. It’s a life long change for me so I’m def taking it slow but it feels so good to fit into a top you haven’t been able to wear for a couple years. :)

Great fit app. I've recently begun working out and eating better. 39.5 years old and wanting to lose 40lb by 40yo. So far this app has been a great motivator for me. I have meal planning and exercise/workout routines set up for me. I can't afford the extra time to devote to a local gym as I am in a rural area with a busy home and work schedule, but this allows me to work from home with no extra equipment needed. I'm very pleased with the options, I can tailor food planning to my likes, change up workout options if something is too painful for my back. I have signed up for the year and I believe this will be something that I continue in the future. While I'm only 4 days into this, I'm impressed thus far and I believe the more I lose and the stronger/more experienced I become that the routines will grow with me. I found that I can devote 20 minutes to exercise easily with this app. Thanks!

Great for beginners too!. I had a significant life event and ballooned up over 100 pounds, and had severe mobility issues. I started using 8fit, because the idea of an 8 minute workout sounded like a good place to start. I wasn’t wrong. Given that I was terribly out of shape, they start you off with some really easy exercises you can do when your strength and ability is limited. There seems to be a range of workouts that will take you to much more advanced workouts too. I like that there is a progression, every workout has been more challenging than the last in a very dynamic way. I recently subscribed to pro, as well, so that I can get access to more varied and longer workouts. I don’t know if the meal planning is for me (some of these recipes are really weird), but it’s worth every penny on workouts alone. I definitely recommend this app for those trying to get back to some level of fitness!

I love the app but it’s too expensive. To start off with, I love this app. I’m a recent college grad and I’m trying to lose that “freshman fifteen” that I never got off during school. The meal planning is amazing. I’m a vegetarian but I have always struggled to come up with good meals for myself that have variety. I also have an extreme sweet tooth and I have never been on a work out regime. This is has been an AMAZING last week. However, I’m on a budget and struggle to make rent. Though I recognize that 60 dollars a year is great for this plan I also know that I will probably not use this for a year and I cannot afford 60 dollars, that’s my whole weekly budget. When I signed up I thought that I could switch to a $30/ 3 months plan but now I realize that I was tricked into the $60 plan and the $30 plan is no longer available. I’m contacting customer service but judging by other reviews I’m not sure if they will be helpful. If you have the money, go for it! I highly recommend.

Great for convenient workouts for busy moms!. I downloaded 8fit shortly after I was cleared to workout after having my second baby. There are SO many workouts and I appreciate the search option that allows you to select the amount of time you have to workout, which muscles you want to target, and even the form of workout you’d like to do. Some days I only have twenty minutes to power through a workout, and this app has SO many options. THE ONLY SUGGESTION I HAVE (and I would greatly appreciate) is to allow the workouts we add to ‘favorites’ to be split into folders. There are some great lower body workouts I’d like to go back to, and it would help to have them a little more organized in the folder. Overall - for a mama of two with a full time job, this gets the job done in place of the gym!

Great App but no support to help change CC billing.. Beware! —-I really like this APP for my workouts. It helps with planning meals and getting in a great workout in a short amount of time. But I do want to throw caution out because I’ve been struggling for 2 years trying to get the annual billing straightened out so I can apply payment to a different credit card. I’ve had to continue paying annual fees on my credit card, just because of this one APP. iTunes doesn’t have record of my purchase, so I’m thinking maybe I went through Google for some reason. I’ve tried to figure out how to change my password and the instructions they give in the Q & A aren’t of any help and if you reach out they just send you to the Q & A area again. When I reach out to customer service they cannot tell me anything except for that they do not have anything to do with billing. I have NOT been able to locate where to change my billing credit card info. Last week I closed my credit card account, so we shall see what happens when they go to bill me. I caution anyone about using this App if it is so hard to manage your account. They need to upgrade their system. It’s really a shame.

Has potential. Not going to lie, I’ve used this app for about 5 or 6 years now. HOWEVER, I find that the app is only great for certain things. I absolutely love its large variety of yoga, stretch, and meditation activities. They really hit the nail on the head with those options. There is a yoga workout for any situation you can think of. That’s why I’ve kept this app. First, I’ve tried to use the meal planning a few times, but it’s just not in-depth enough. There is no calorie counting, or macro tracking. It’s not easily customizable. It makes it appear like there’s calorie counting, but it’s just not detailed enough. Second, there are NO gym workouts. This is great for people who want to workout at home. But I wish they integrated workouts for those who use gym equipment. So the workout portion is useless to me (except for the yoga and meditation). You can log any type of workout you’ve done that day, but I want to see everything in one place. I find that I have like 4 different apps for one specific thing. Example, I use this app for yoga. I use another app for detailed calorie and meal planning. I use another app for gym workout planning. I use another app just as a general day-planner. I have YET to see an app that has everything in one.

Best fitness app ever!. I’ve recently been on a search for a fitness app that is easy to use, fits with my busy schedule, and is quick, convenient and effective at helping me achieve my goals. 8fit is all of these and more. The meal plans are easy to view and use, and you can actually change your meals if you don’t like a certain meal, and choose your meal preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, paleo, standard, and choose allergies and exclusions. If you don’t like tomatoes, simply choose to exclude them from your plan. The meals are flavorful, very varied, and delicious. They’re also container-friendly, so great for meal prep. The 8fit workouts are also quick, easy and effective. They typically take only about 15 minutes each, and you start out with a weekly goal of 4 workouts, so if you can’t make time in your day for exercising, you can just choose to work out tomorrow instead. 8fit is by FAR the best fitness app I have ever used, and TOTALLY worth the price.

Awesome even if you’re not an exercise nut. I downloaded the free app because I wanted to add some varied exercises to my regular speed-walking. I’m not in it to lose weight (46 year-old mom, I accept my muffin top), just get stronger and make sure my whole body is engaged. You do have to steel yourself to ignore choosing an image of a perfect hard body, and tweak things so it’s not focused on just losing weight, but I find that if you do that you can really make this app work for health. I haven’t done the meal program because after about a thousand control studies all researchers agree that all you need to do is to eat real food and actually figure out what a single portion is. But I can tell you that even as a regular exerciser and occasional “NY Times 7 minute scientific workout” follower, these exercises will challenge you and make you stronger.

True as toast. Average human here. You know the story, I’ve tried everything, nothing sticks or works. I hate every second of working out and it doesn’t last. This app has made me fall in love with exercise and health. Also, this is incredibly cheap ($5 a MONTH) compared to all the healthy cookbooks and gym memberships. You get grocery lists and recipes (all can be personalized according to preference and allergies). And you can let them know where you stand on exercise and they will choose a level for you to start at, and it can all be done at home. This is GREAT! If you want the best for yourself and want a change in lifestyle, this is the app to help you make that happen.

So far so good. I am the typical “I’m going to get my act together for real this time” and then quits three days later exerciser. So far with this app I have been doing well. I think what keeps me going are the articles to read during my break at work that get me excited for my next workout or grocery trip. They keep it in my mind so I don’t have an excuse to forget about it. I also love the reminders that I can set, so it is less of a “use my app now” nudge and more a message from a more motivated me to keep going. I love that there is no shaming for missing days and that you can add in exercise you did outside the app. I could go on but the features of this app are great and it’s so easy to use but not boring.

Awesome!. I’m on my third day of the free trial and will definitely move up to the paid version based on my experience so far. Easier for me to use the appt on iPad simply for the larger screen but also works great on iPhone. Based on my answers to a few questions, a workout was designed for me that’s perfect and can be changed anytime. So easy because workout can be done anywhere anytime and you can even set a reminder. Workouts are short but WOW!, I can really feel them. It’s so motivating to see the calories that the workout burns! Because of some health related diet restrictions, I haven’t tried the meal planning part of the app yet but even if I don’t use that part, the convenience, ease and effectiveness of the workout is worth the price!

Overall good however. The jump from elementary to novice is quite extreme. From standing wall pushups to pushups on table at knee height (much harder than even pushups on floor on knees) and then from chair tap squats to a circle rotation with a deep squats way too extreme of a difference. The mods offered for the novice tend to either be go back to elementary or harder than novice. If one follows the program exactly and one is truly a beginner then the jump is too extreme and going back to elementary is a buzz kill. Also for months on end they promised specific work outs like abs, core, gluts, arms. Come to find out it only some have been loaded and only if you pay. Wud like that to be clear up front otherwise pretty much a bait and switch deal. Truly thgt they did a great job on elementary workouts. Let down by higher levels w the extreme jumps in ability required and no requiring pro membership for the workouts that said “coming soon” 4 months.

Great meal tracker but meh for workouts. Pros: The meal suggesting is great. The recipes are delicious and the fact that you can tailor it however you want it perfect. Cons/bugs: 1. The tape measure for workout time doesn't line-up with the actual number. I have an iPhone 7. Simple bug 2. It should import the workouts from Apple health automatically when I open the app. Seems like a no-brainer 3. When I'm already tracking a workout with my iWatch if I start one using the 8fit app it stops my Apple workout with no warning, bad user experience. 3. Videos load so slow on the iWatch, why even have it. Show an animation/gif instead. 4. As a reviewer mentioned, the app should change the haptics on the watch or phone to be over time with a rest interval in-between. Obviously as I get better I'll do more and workout more vigorously. The "just do it as fast as you can" is too ambigious. 5. Ability to add nutrition information when I add my own meals 6. Ability to add custom workouts with the results 7. Constant failures when finishing my workout using the iWatch app and then trying to sync the results. It just says Error connecting, no retry? Come on All in all great, but need to fix all these bugs so it can just be awesome. I'll continue to use it because the meal part is top notch. That's the only reason you guys are getting 3 stars.

Too hard to set up after upgrade. I just upgraded to pro without really using the free app first, based on good reviews. Been trying for 2 days just to set up in my phone and iPad. First I had trouble getting the meal planner to work, it kept asking me to upgrade when I had already done so, restored purchases at least 6 times before it suddenly started working. Now trying to have the app on my phone as well, it keeps taking me back to the login page over and over and over even with same info (Facebook login) as that which is working (finally) on my iPad. Contacted support, so far haven’t heard anything. About 1 day away from canceling subscription and deleting app - $29/month is VERY expensive to have this much trouble. Reviews seem great for those that can get it to work but so far I’m just frustrated trying to install it.

This app rocks. Seriously! It’s really hard to be motivated but the fact that these exercises are quick it’s easy to get over! The workouts are great! Gives you simple exercises that you can review before you start. Even if you forget as you go through it shows a video of the move, super helpful!! It has also motivated me to finally start doing yoga! Gives simple tips that are super encouraging! I’ve only been using this app for about two weeks and use all things that are completely free! I would recommend this app to anyone trying to get some healthy habits! I feel better about my body already!

Clunky if you want to stay at a particular level. I really liked this app until I was not able to progress anymore and the exercises became difficult to do. I am 59 and just can’t do some of the exercises in Master III. When you finish a level, the app only gives you a choice to except the next level. This is a flaw, as it should say something like bump up or repeat current level. Instead is says continue to next level and you get know choice as far as I can tell. Once at the higher level, you can then chose that the routine is too difficult and bump down to a previous level, but, because you have already completed that level the app does not recognize or ask if you want to repeat the whole level again. It still shows all routines as being completed with the little green check in the upper left of the routine. Then after completing just one routine, the app thinks your all done with that level because the whole level is checked off and forces you to the next level again. Then vicious cycle continues. If the app isn’t fixed soon I will stop paying for it and switch to another app. I am hoping this review gets someone’s attention and they prioritize this fix and soon.

I plateaued, and it hurt.. I credit 8fit with my whole heart to improving my lifestyle. I lost weight, became stronger, and learned about cooking healthy meals. However, once I progressed through the programs I found myself plateauing and finding the workouts less challenging because I was constantly restarting the most challenging program. Of course I could supplement the program with weights, but what I wanted from the app in the first place was to tell me EXACTLY how to complete each exercise. I loved 8fit, but it seems that I have outgrown it. I was a dedicated user with hundreds of logged workouts for the first year. As of now, I have chosen to move on and try a more challenging program that has endless opportunity for growth with detail-oriented workouts. Goodbye 8fit, you will always be the one that changed my life.

Totally recommend!. I love love love this app! I am lazy by nature and a chocoholic who was blessed with a speedy metabolism. Then I turned 25 and realized I cannot eat like a dump truck anymore without working out. I have tried other apps, but they just didn’t motivate me and were either too easy and I wasn’t seeing results, or I just didn’t like the overall layout of the workout plans. Come 8fit. It is my savior. The workouts are so fast that there’s never an excuse to not do them, and I’m always drenched in sweat and left with Bambi legs. I love that it’s so tailored to your own needs and body. I’ve seen great results in absolutely no time, and I feel like I’m well on my way to that toned body I’ve always wanted, but never quite found the motivation to get. The only reason I’m giving it one less star is because I would totally pay for premium, but it doesn’t let you pay monthly. It’s an annual lump sum, and to be quite honest I don’t want to pay it all up front. If you change the payment plans, I will give the last star and definitely pay monthly for this godsend of a meal and workout program.

So much bang for your buck!. I started out wanting to use the app for the workouts. What I found was so much more than I was prepared for. I’ve used the meal planning far more than the exercises and am able to log in my exercises outside of what I have utilized on the app. Being that I am far sighted, the only complaint I have is that the app is no longer viewable on the laptop and I can only see the recipes and workouts on my iPhone. This makes it harder for me to see and read. The workouts are seriously awesome, although the yoga is not my favorite and I have been doing yoga for 20 years now so I have had a lot of instruction. I am combining this platform with other workouts to provide myself an experience that works for me, which would be much more difficult to accomplish without this app. I would use it just for the food. I’ve watched the recipe offerings and options increase dramatically over the last two years. I just wish that I could at least print them out or look at them on a larger screen so I could see them better. I guess I’m just older now and have a harder time than younger people.

Not as easy as it looks. I’ve been working out on my own for the past couple of years, mostly following online workouts found in places like r/fitness. I figured I’d give this a shot, since I’d been having trouble sticking to my routines consistently after starting a new job. I was amazed by the intensity of the first workout. I figured this app would go easy on me, but they weren’t kidding with the personalized stuff: after filling in my current stamina and strength levels, they came with a nice little 10 min workout that really made me sweat and even strain some muscles I didn’t know I had underdeveloped. I haven’t even gotten to the diet plans yet and I’m already in love with this app.

Profile Needs Work, Useless until Addressed.. I’ll start with the positives - awesome UI. Fairly easy to setup. My issue is with their options as it pertains to setting goals. First off, “weight gain” is not an option. Furthermore the target body fat options they give via pictures are disproportionate. The pictures have different body types so the body fat percentage looks different on each body. For instance, I’m already a naturally thin person with a six pack (that isn’t super defined like it’d be on someone with nearly 0% body fat but it is noticeable). What I want is to gain weight to be a bit thicker and accentuate curves. The options they have for increasing body fat are terrible. The body one step up from mine looks like a sack of potatoes because their body type is square. The one a step up from that is an hour glass shape so they don’t look to have much fat on them at all in comparison. Therefore, it’s hard for me to figure out which percentage of body fat I’d ideally like with such opposing views. My suggestion is that they factor in body type into one’s profile. Body fat is going to sit differently on different frames. Until then( a full delete delete for me.

Love but. So I’ve been using this app for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. The workouts are helpful and not too extreme so anyone can do them. Unfortunately, for the last two weeks I’ve been experiencing some difficulties with the app itself. I’ll try to do a workout and it’ll turn the screen completely blank and I can’t do anything about it. I’ll close the app and do it again but it’ll just show me a blank screen. Another thing is that sometimes the app doesn’t record when I did that workout and it’ll have me do it all over again instead of letting me continue to the next exercises. An update fixing these bugs will be highly appreciated.

Terrible customer service. I used to enjoy this app but every time I submit a ticket to notify them of a bug or a feature than is hard to use/doesn’t work they completely write me off and do nothing. I’ve been using the yearly premium subscription for almost two years. You used to be able to scroll up to see the previous days meals and log them if you forgot or it’s after midnight and carried over to the next day already and you haven’t logged that day yet. Now it won’t do that despite still saying “load previous day” when attempting to scroll up. When I brought this to customer service they acted like it’s never been able to load the previous day before and thanks for my input??? How do I know more about your app than you?! So frustrating!

Loving this program. It has been a LONG time since I worked out. I had a baby nine months ago and I am ready to get back I to feeling great about my body again. This program is great because it takes I to account your current level of strength along with body fat. The first workout I thought was simple and easy but boy did I feel it the next day. Day two was a little harder and I know I will be feeling it for sure. I like that it alerts me when I should work out. I thought about skipping the workout but chose to so I could get rid of the annoying red message on the app. Turns out the more I use the program the more I like it.

Great app, app seems to be still starting out. The free version: This app has great exercises and gauges personal ability well by asking how you feel about the difficulty and enjoyment of each workout. They don’t have a lot of options for workouts yet though as it seems like they’ll be adding new ones as they continue to develop. The workouts are about 10-15 mins each and you can do as many as you’d like and the yoga sessions are mostly 15-30 mins so I like to do the tabata combined with my own cardio and weight routine in the morning and a yoga session in the evening. Routine is the key to success and this app really encourages routine, they even offer reminders (but I keep em off cuz I’m navy and my schedule is inconsistent.) BEWARE!! I enjoyed the app enough to try the pro version. The app advertises either $5/month or $10 for 3months. I selected the second option and Apple billed me a recent that says I’m being charged 10/month for three months (so $30 for three months!!) So now I’m paying twice as much for the pro version. Seems like a shady option to begin with but I’ve contacted support and will give them five stars if it’s an honest mistake ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like I said it’s still a growing app but definitely gife it a shot!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. So I downloaded this app and figured I’d try to work it into my routine. Started the free trial to check it out and see if it was what I was looking for. After about 1 day I decided that this wasn’t what I was looking for from an exercise standpoint. Didn’t get very far into the meal plans but had multiple repeat meals on day 1. So I went ahead and canceled my free trial. What I didn’t know was that if you cancel your trial through the app and don’t use the settings on your phone (this is not made clear whatsoever) that you will be charged for an entire year of membership after two weeks with no warning. So I got scammed and I wouldn’t recommend this app or this company to anyone. They won’t offer a refund even though I (thought) canceled within 10 minutes. Not to mention I immediately uninstalled the app so for the last 2 weeks I wasn’t even close to using it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Even if you like the app just know their customer support won’t work with you if anything ever goes wrong. I’d shoot for an app with better values (& quality). - Lucas

Cannot unsubscribe from the app. I subscribed and gave this app a try. Was not what I needed so I decided to finish out my year subscription in case I changed my mind. Now the subscription is over I’m ready to unsubscribe and end my membership. So far I am unable to do this and cancel my membership. The app directs me to use my apple account to unsubscribe and apple directs me to use the 8fit app to unsubscribe. After contacting the 8fit app support directly I was again sent to apple to solve this problem thru their support and told to “have a nice day”. No help or support what ever from 8fit. Sound like a scam to me!! Be aware if you are using this on you apple phone and want to cancel it will be a big hassle or at least is has been for me! Last resort will be using my credits card company and open a complaint if 8fit try’s to renew my subscription after contacting them I do not want to renew it!!! Maybe a negative review will prompt them to fix this problem. Subscribers Be aware!!!!

Good Workouts, needs improvements.. I’ve been using this app for a week. I love the workouts. The routines change daily and they are super easy to follow with the helpful videos. If there is an exercise that can’t be done because of physical limitations you can exchange it with another equally challenging one. The only problem I have with this app is logging extra activities. I follow the apps workout but then I run on a treadmill or elliptical after. When I try to enter my time and calories burned, they don’t match what the machine has. The app doesn’t know what level I used on the elliptical or how fast or the elevation I had the treadmill set, but it still gives a preset calories number of calories burned based on time. It’s frustrating because I use this app with another calorie counter app and it’s not accurate. Even though I like this app, I’m going to start searching for one that fits my needs. I would have paid for the upgraded app, but I would still have the same problem. Hopefully the app just needs to be further developed. I will keep it for the workouts, but not the calorie counter.

Fantastic!!. While I don’t use the meal planning feature, since I already have a lot of education in nutrition and don’t find it difficult to stick to a healthy diet, the exercise plans are phenomenal. I was never the type to be active in the first place. I had a difficult time with workouts since I didn’t know how much to do or how long to do it and I found a lot of charts and such useless. However, this app provides exercises suited to your needs and experience. No workout is the same (mundaneness was another part I dreaded about workouts) and each one gets me moving. On top of that, they don’t exceed 15 minutes or so! I have finished my workout before I could even think that I was working out!! Please get it if you are struggling with finding fun, effective ways of getting active regularly!

Love it!. Great app. I was using this app consistently (3x week) a year ago and enjoyed it but stopped when I got pregnant, now ready to tone it up. Absolutely loving the cool down feature that was added. Not sure what else they changed but I am very happy. Considering upgrading when the time comes. I love how convenient it is; it reminds me and I fit in a workout right after I put my kids to bed. No drive to the gym, no mopping up other people’s sweat or being watched by that creepy guy. It totally works for the season I’m in life-wise. I don’t use the meal planning or other options so can’t speak to those but def 5 stars and three cheers for 8fit workouts!

The only app that’s ever helped. This all is a serious lifestyle change. It has made me (who is horrible at planning ahead and hates bland boring healthy food) a serious believer in being able to eat healthy and love it and see results. The meal plans are simple to follow and allow me to customize to all my dietary restrictions and they’re DELICIOUS. The workout are also great to follow and super effective. I’m always sweating afterward, and they’re short enough that there’s never any excuse for me to miss one. Plus they are easy to stack up to make a more intense workout. I’ve struggled the last 5 years to drop 10 pounds and this app helped me achieve it in 2 months. It’s amazing.

Loving It!. I love how customizable the meals and workouts are – especially the meals. I have tons of food allergies, plus the need to eat vegetarian two days a week. 8fit is the ONLY app I’ve seen that allows me to customize to this level, and I love it! I would rate it 5 stars if it weren’t for the shopping list. I tried it only once, because it dropped 3 of the meals (they didn’t show up at all on the shopping list). Plus, when I got home, some of the ingredients I had bought didn’t seem to appear in any of the recipes I had chosen. Third – but this is simply a preference – I wish the shopping list would group foods based on where they will show up in a typical grocery store: all produce grouped together, all dairy grouped together, all canned goods grouped together, all boxed and soft-pack goods grouped together, etc. I tried to select all the vegetables and fruits at once, and found out at the end of my shopping that the citrus was in a different category! So, I had to traipse back over there at the end, with my tired kids in tow, to get the lemons, limes, and oranges. Overall, though, I am loving 8fit! I have decided to continue with the paid plan of $60/year — Thank you for the free, 1-month trial, 8fit. That gave me a chance to try it out, revise, try again, revise, and find what worked just for me. Loving it!

A great little app but pricey. For the annual cost of this app I would want a little more. The actual program seems great, for me I know enough about how my body responds that I could replace a gym membership with this. And it also offers meal plans. I think everything is a bit more like guides than an actual ‘plan’. Just like with anything, you have to factor in what you know works for your body and your lifestyle but the program is highly adaptable so it should work for almost anyone. That being said, for the money I would want a little more. You can’t put in health conditions, like I have bad knees but there are no modified exercise options and they have me doing a ton of lunges. Ouch. There’s also no charts for your weight, measurements, etc... that’s just a personal preference, but seeing the line move down closer to my goal weight has always been the biggest motivator for me. So yeah, it’s great, a little basic but the workouts will make you sweat and the food options look very tasty and you can customize how often you repeat a meal. For someone like me who eats basically the same thing all week to cut down on costs, that’s a big plus. When my free trial ends I am seriously considering cancelling my gym membership and forking our the money for the app. Just a few tweaks would make it perfect in my opinion.

So great!!. This app perfectly helped me ease back into working out every day. I used to dread it and after using these short workouts to build up to longer and more intense sessions, I actually look forward to working out every day! I usually 2-3 of the shorter workouts in a row now 5-6 days a week. I feel healthier and in better shape than I have in a very long time! It took the guess work out of going to gym. One SMALL issue with this app is that the times listed on the workouts are often inaccurate. While they are sometimes on point and usually in the ballpark, sometimes they are just plain wrong. Super small thing, but just a heads up to take them with a grain of salt.

More Customization. I like this app because I wanted something that would give me routines and clear instructions - and that delivers. I like that you can swap certain exercises out. What I don’t like is that sometimes a routine is generated for me that requires that I’m working out standing up, then laying down, then standing up again - and while I waste time getting up and down over and over the clock is ticking. I think this app could be much improved by allowing me to build my own workout routine. Sure, I could do that myself - but I don’t know how many calories it would burn. If the app allowed me to build my own workout routine it would be five stars for sure.

Good app for ideas. I’ve been using the app for a week. I like the fact that I don’t have to come up with ideas for exercises. The exercises are simple which I thought might not challenge me but oh I felt it the next day even on the shoulder pulses which I thought to be a lame exercise. As others have mentioned, I dislike the fact that the videos don’t match what your doing; I.e. she’s still doing fast feet or shoulder pulses when it says to rest. The app could also be greatly improved by clear written instructions on the exercises. For example, when doing the wall push ups, I wasn’t sure if my heels were suppose to come off the floor or not. The videos don’t always show enough details. I was disappointed to have to pay to try out the meal planning so I haven’t used that portion. But overall, its very good for a quick workout without having to honk it up on your own and who can’t find 8 minutes in their day.

Ms Lauren-Jade Ryan. I am excited to try my first day of change and exercise on my path to loose baby weight with a free app support with your program. I really need to loose baby weight after two babies in a row and 3 kids all together and really need something like and app with reminders and how to do supporting me through as I really want to loose weight and be healthy. Thank you!

Work it. Great app! I really enjoy it. The creators and designers put so much great work into this and deserve credit. I would add a stretching workout for just 3-5 minutes of stretches before the workout as an improvement in the next update. Great job guys

Simply and effective. I like the simple layout and look of the app. When you open it you don’t feel overwhelmed by options and it’s really well designed to encourage you to get started. I have the notifications on and it sends gentle reminders asking you if you’d like to try something. Love it. Perfect for beginners and also very good for those who are already into fitness.

Highly recommended. I’ve had a hard time sticking to any workout and eating plan but I started on the 7 day trial which gave me meal plans too! Got me started and trained well enough to continue even without the pro version. Although the pro version is so handy to keep track of all your meals and workouts too! It’s only my third week using the app only Monday to Friday and I’ve lost 4 kilos and I feel much better too! Thanks to the minds behind the app! I love what you’re doing here and I hope you keep it going!

Quick and Easy!. A great App for busy people wanting to balance fitness with work - especially when travelling. Simple exercises with no equipment required so can be done in an office or hotel room.

Best fitness app on the market. I have been using 8fit now for the past 3 months and cannot recommend it highly enough. I currently use the free version that allows me to create a customized workout plan to meet me fitness goals. The workouts are all easy to do at home in 8-16mins and get my heart rate up and work up a sweat. I have noticed significant changes in my muscle definition over the last 3 months from just using 8fit. It’s so easy to use and the instructions and videos are so well done. The notifications to remind me to workout are a great help although I have found myself getting out of bed keen to do a workout with 8fit without the reminder. The only recommendation I have is that there needs to be a stretching session after the workout. I have been using another app to guide my stretching session. If you are looking for an app to help you get fit/lose weight/build muscle then 8fit is for you.

My most used workout app!. This is a review for the free version of the app. I love it! I have a few workout apps (Nike training club is another one of my favourites) but I find I use this one the most. I think it's because all the workouts are so short - 9-15 minutes based on what I've done so far. That means they're never intimidating and super easy to fit in on days I otherwise wouldn't work out. It also helps that the app has instructions for each of the moves and workouts for MANY different levels do I'd say this is great for beginners! I also like that you have the option of a warm up and there's a great yoga cool-down vid. I also find the steps graph with an adjustable steps goal much more motivating than the plain old apple health app.

Not worth $90 - automatic subscription for a year. Beware the automatic subscription after two weeks, no refunds. Not impressed, not worth $90. I wouldn't have minded paying for a month to give me more time to explore the app. But two weeks, with an automatic yearly subscription? For those with busy lives, that's barely no time to figure out if this app is suitable. Meals are basic, foods you request not to eat always appear in the meal plans. For someone with allergies, it’s too risky. Exercises are rudimentary at best. Honestly, there are a lot better apps out there that are a lot more affordable.

LOVING IT SO FAR - really good for postpartum. I saw an ad for this app and decided to download it because it looked promising, then almost immediately I decided to buy the yearly subscription. There are so many recipes and you can tailor it to suit your likes and dislikes, or tolerances. The work outs are perfect and quick, I have to kids (newborn and toddler) and it’s nice to be able to complete a 10 min work out with the small window of opportunity. I’m also 9 weeks postpartum from a C-section and the work outs are helping me regain my strength, i feel so positive about myself bc of it! Price is cheap compared to other fitness apps and it really is worth it :)

App has crashed. I have an iPhone 7 and after the latest 8fit update and in-app improvements my app has crashed and when I go into the workout tab all that shows up is a blank white screen. When I refresh the app and go back into workouts it flickers for a few moments before returning to the white screen. Used to love how easy it was to use for free but no that I’m unable to in only giving a two star rating. Please resolve this issue

Such a scam!. I trialled this app with high hopes only to find it very bland , difficult to use and uninspiring . I appreciate fitness apps and find myself to be quite motivated but this app promised a lot and didn’t deliver . I tried to cancel my subscription and was unable to so I tried deleting it . They took my money anyway after I was promised that I could unsubscribe if I was unhappy with the product . I demand my money back for this huge scam and waste of time !

This app is awesome. This app here is beyond anything other app I have used to workout I tried designing my own workout schedule it failed so I resorted to 8fit any person reading this review don’t take my word for it just look at the app’s features. They hire professional trainers and can assist when in need of a daily work so go on and give it a try.

Really helps!. I just did my first workout today and the variety is so good! Although you have to put payment details in you get a free trial for a little while so once you’ve done lots of different workouts you can get rid of your payment and do it without the app. It really helps me track my food and certain workouts. Absolutely love it!! the videos really help :))

It’s good. Workouts are great, even has yoga.... u can log your own workouts and other activities... just don’t like the food menu... food that I just wouldn’t even been interested in eating. If they could put some Normal healthy food meals up it would have 5 stars and I’d become a member. The food side of things is what my biggest problem is right now.

Charged twice for subscription now can’t access at all!!. I purchased the pro subscription on 30 July. On 1 August I discovered I had been charged twice for the one subscription. I got the erroneous payment refunded by Apple customer service meaning that i have now paid the correct amount for a subscription. Despite this, and despite my Apple ID confirming that I have a subscription to 8fitpro, today I am suddenly unable to access my subscription. I am very unhappy with how subscriptions to this app are administered and if this issue cannot be resolved I will make a complaint to Apple customer service and be requesting a full refund.

Excellent except for streaming video. I’ve used and benefited from 8fit for nearly a year. It has for the most part been excellent. Great except uses, good recipes and the right amount of motivation. Recently, since the covid pandemic I’ve had great trouble streaming video. If there were a download option for training videos like many other apps of this genre, it would be perfect.

So easy to keep motivated. I have a 4 month old and a two year old. Having 8fit makes it possible for me to get my workout in. I can change the difficulty to suit my fitness level postpartum.

Great app, great customer service!. This app is mind blowing because of the amount of content it provides even with just a free version. The creative recipes, grocery list and being able to track your progress are what I really love about this app because of the simplicity it provides. But that’s not the only thing that’s great about this app. I recently came across a problem where I was e-mailed (to my utter shock), that I purchased the year long subscription. This was a major problem for someone who is doing all she can to save money. I immediately contacted the 8fit customer service about it and they gave me a set of instructions to follow and I was able to resolve this problem. Both the app and the people behind them are very helpful!

A shove in the right direction. It's the first day of the New year and I woke to my phone shaming me into getting up and doing my first exercise routine with the free version of this great app! Im feeling great and inspired to face the rest of the day in a happier and healthier way. Im also inspired to buy the rest of the app, if the preview motivated me then im ready for the rest!

Love it. So happy I came across this online, the workout program was just what I needed. They challenge me but I feel great afterwards. I’m looking forward to seeing my fitness progress over the next 8 weeks!

Amazing. Amazing app, helps so much, one suggestion is if we could add certain exercises to make our own workouts, so for like if you just want to do all arms or core but no legs, I know we can just go through all the ones already put together and right it on paper but it would be nice to be a feature on this app to do and estimate the calories burnt, and if you do, pls make it for free , so we don’t need premium or like Make it a one time pay like pay something and that’s it no monthly subscription, thanks for the amazing app

Not user friendly. I only liked one sequence of exercises and it hasn’t come up again. I have had a shoulder injury so can’t do lots of weight bearing as in push-up exercises. Was hoping to use this between my gym sessions at Curves but it isn’t working. Would like to be able to choose an exercise sequence that suits and build on getting faster and stronger on that exercise. Unfortunately I can’t use this app in its present format. Disappointed.

There’s no substitute. Highly recommend this app as it is well tailored to helping you achieve your goals and keeps you honest! Can’t achieve these results without the meal planning also to achieve good healthy habits which are sustainable. I’ve achieved my goal but still need this programme to maintain it.

Standard Expectations. 8Fit has a big variety of workout whether you want an extreme or a light and easy one. The only thing that costed one star was the diet meal that I had to pay for. It didn’t have too much combinations in it and it was $9 per month. Overall, I’d be happy to give this app a four star rating, very good.

Fitness app. The best fitness app it has everything all in the comfort of your own home... the instructors are motivating and encouraging, they push to achieve your best self... AMAZING I LOVE IT ... thank you 8fit team for caring for me and in turn that cares for my family ....

Great app but...... I use 8fit everyday and it’s a brilliant app but when I first got it the app wouldn’t open for about a week so I deleted the app and then downloaded it again and it worked. So if you could please fix that, then that would be great thanks.

I am in love with you 8fit. I decided to ditch my gym membership and try out exercising at home. Working full time and very long hours I would get to the gym on average twice per week, do a long workout, feel exhausted ... and didn’t really see big changes in my physique. Once I did some research on home workouts I decided to give this app a try. Today I achieved my 100th workout. I am absolutely f..... (pardon me) really in love with this app. I exercised during my two month travel trip in my hotel rooms, I used it to exercise in parks and now during covid 19 lockdown in my living room. This app is just what everyone needs. Short, daily workouts! I don’t feel exhausted after the workout but rather refreshed and ready for my day. I also see the difference on my body. My legs and arms are definitely more firmer. I don’t use the eating plan but have noticed that recipes are not too bad. I highly recommend this app. So much so that I want to work for these guys! Totally worth the money! Try it out!

Good Except.... Love the app use it all the time, I think it is very good how it lets you work out for free and it you want more pay. The only problem I have with the app is sometimes it doesn’t load, I will go into the app and the first page won’t load, please fix I might actually subscribe if it is fixed :(

Great app. I LOVE THIS APP... I may have only had it for a few days but it’s really pushing me to get fit and I love that you can make schedules for when you want to do your next workout... it’s a great app and I recommend it to anyone who isnt happy with their body and wants to improve on it... good luck 💪🤪👍

Unscrupulous app that takes your money without asking. So disappointed. I downloaded the 8fit app to trial after a friend recommended it, and assumed that before the end of the trial period, I would be notified and asked whether I wanted to purchase a subscription or at least be informed that the trial was coming to an end and that I would be charged if I didn’t unsubscribe by a certain date (as occurred when I trialed the Sweat app). Yesterday, I checked 14 days after I downloaded 8fit to trial after thinking it was strange that I hadn’t received a notification or email informing me the trial period was ending, and by then it was too late - I’d been automatically subscribed to a yearly subscription for AU $80, despite not having consented to this. Now I’m stuck with an app that I don’t want, am not going to use, and is nowhere near as good as the Sweat app. I’m not going to even bother contacting Apple or the 8fit developers to request a refund, but think others should be aware of the unscrupulous way the 8fit app developers work. Good apps don’t need to deduct yearly membership fees without permission, people will happily sign up if their app is worth the money. Apps such as 8fit clearly lack the confidence that people would want to subscribe after a trial period and take your money without asking. Poor form 8fit.

Terrible customer service. I have now sent three messages and only one was answered and that answer didn’t have anything to do with my question. I was charged for a years subscription after downloading the free app. All I wanted to know is why hasn’t my subscription shown up on my list of Apple subscriptions? Why is that question so hard to answer. 1 week on and still no reply. The second star is for the exercises...they’re actually pretty good. Shame that your customer service has let you down so badly.

Trying but has various issues when syncing to Apple Watch. The app is great, recipes and workouts, but I’m having trouble syncing with Apple Watch and for me this is a big deal as I was planning in using it without my iPhone with me all the time. The app did not save the work out I did yesterday on the watch and today the app disappeared from Watch and even reinstalling didn’t work. If I can’t use it on my watch I’ll probably cancel before trial ends and will look for a similar one. 🙁

I love it!!!. This app is perfect for anybody trying to reach their ideal healthy body goals. It’s completely personalised so that the app knows where you are currently and where you would like to be, how much commitment you’re willing to put towards it, the work out intensity, everything. The recipes have never disappointed anybody I’ve cooked for! Mind you I’m not too good at cooking neither hahahaha so the recipes are pretty easy also. And on top of all the meal and workout plans, there are articles you can read so that you can learn how to do things on your own without the app telling you what to do. For example how to read labels when you’re buying food, how to detox without eating like a rabbit, how to gain weight healthily, etc. This app has everything! And the last thing to top it all off is you can log it all, keep photos of your meals in the app and the app keeps tabs on your progression. This app is so good!! If you lack in motivation, give this app a go. Just add it into your life style and I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Charged a subscription fee without consent. I found a charge for this app in my bank statement despite not signing up to the paid version. I was told to log out of the app and then back in with my Apple ID to be able to cancel my subscription. Note, this app doesn’t appear in my apple subscription list and when I downloaded it, Im asked to create a new login/sign up. eventually I managed to login to a pre-existing website account - only to find that I have the free version. Can’t work out why I’ve been charged. Nor can I seem to cancel even this free account. Apparently I can’t have a refund because I was too late asking for it. I’ve not had such a bad experience with a company like this before.

Omggg. This app is amazing, anyone looking to get fit HAS to get 8fit! It’s perfect for anybody to use, it’s free for the normal mode(which is as good as any other) and honestly I can’t find any fault, although I’ve only been using it for a few days, it is sooo good so far, it really help me get into the mood to get fit! The workout is personified for Your own benefit, they pick the right excersises for you, and for what you want to achieve( which they ask questions at the start about) it doesn’t matter what age, 8fit is the fitness app you need!

Great App. Love the app! The recipes are fast and simple and the meal prep options are very convenient. An option to do a bulk change of meals on particular days would be good, so select the meal once and pick which days to have it on, rather than having to change every day :)

Amazing. I’ve tried other workout apps and going to the gym but thy just don’t work. This app is amazing with the different types of workouts to the meal plans(even though you have to pay for the meal plans) it is just sooo great!

Don’t like the marketing. You only get a special deal offer when signing up? And never to be offered again? Pass. You don’t even get to have a look at the app and try it out before you are asked to sign up for a subscription. There’s a few fitness apps I’m looking at and this one is already in the bin. If you’re app is so great you don’t need people to sign up before anything else.

So impressed! Thank you!. Wow this app is actually awesome. It’s really helped me become motivated with all the little articles it sends and gives quick tips if you can’t be bothered reading. The eating selection is amazing for people who are picky (I’m lactose free, no meat, no chicken) and it can still cater to all that and is super personalised. Someone always answers my questions with in a day and are so nice and informative. I’ve been using the app for three months and have lost 7 kgs! That doesn’t seem like much but I’m not overweight so it’s harder to lose kgs. But what it’s done is made me feel stronger and my skin has been clearer, getting out of bed has been easier and forcing myself to do a bit of exercise has been more fun! So grateful to the creators of this really good app 😄😄😄

Unethical - autocharged me 2 weeks early. This app advertised a 30 day trial. I set a reminder for 29 days to decide if I wanted to keep and cancel if not. Today is day 29 and I logged in to discover it charged after 14 days instead of 30 and for a full year to boot. Totally unethical. Contacting Apple to raise a case. Apple shouldn’t allow any apps to auto-renew without authorization. If Apple don’t resolve then will be raising a chargeback with credit card company. Will never use this app in the future or sign up to any free trials for paid apps. Total scam.

Awesome Workouts. I really love this app, the workouts are pretty spot on for your skill level and I find them challenging but fun and I always break a killer sweat. I really appreciate that the workouts are free and it gives you the option to pay for the meal plan if you wish. It is one of the reasons why this is the best workout app I’ve used, you get a full and rewarding workout without necessarily having a monthly subscription. I love this app and have recommended it to many friends. Bring on the results 😊

Absolutely love this app. The amount of content that this app has is far beyond any other fitness app I have used! I use this as much as a can and I thoroughly enjoy the programs they provide as well as the nutritional aspect to it. I would highly recommend anyway who is looking to download a fitness app whether beginners or intermediates, this app has you covered on all levels.

Best workout app. For me, finding a workout app that you don’t have to pay for is extremely hard. 8fit gives you simple workouts for free that you can do at home in your own space rather than needing extra equipment. I’d say upgrading to the monthly plan would be a great decision if you’re really into fitness, but for now the free plan is amazing as it is for me.

Great but slight issue. So I’ve been using the app for 2 weeks now, and it’s been working out fine, til today. So I completed my workout and there was an error and could save my workout session, so now I’m probably unable to move on from that session. Helppp

Be careful!. Seems like a great app and all but did the trial and deleted and unsubscribe before the trial ended as the app wasn’t really for me then out of the blue 1-2 weeks later I was notified from my bank/email that I had been charged $90 for a yearly subscription for an app that I hadn’t even used or been subscribed too so while the app might be great gotten no response from the developer about a refund even though I emailed the email address on the website so be wary when trialing the app!

Best fitness app!!. Meals are so yummy. There are options to do meal prep and a meals with 5 ingredients or less. Obviously other people giving a low rating for this app do not know how to increase the serving size and do meal prep. There are options to log other meals when going out or making something different. I love the short HIIT workouts. Already lost weight and feeling very satisfied !!!!!

Warm up and cool down routines. While the workouts themselves aren’t bad, and do actually get you sweating. The cool down routines do not consist of the right type of movements that are needed to safely and correctly stretch the right muscles that have been used during that particular workout. For example in a workout that focused primarily on arms (push ups, tricep dips, weights), the cool down that follows has no where near the right type of stretches to fit the exercises that were done. This really isn’t a safe practice after intensive training as it can result in soreness and injuries that could easily be prevented by doing the right type of stretches. I think the team really needs to look back at which muscles are being used in their workouts and give the correct cool down stretches. There is no point in having a short cool down routine that doesn’t even target the right parts of the body.

Genuine enjoyment. I am actually enjoying this. I don’t know what to call it—Infinity Fit? 8 Fit?—but it doesn’t matter. I stop in most days and the workouts are quick, mostly fun and always raise a heartbeat and a sweat. Really enjoying the meals, too. Reasonable ingredients, fast to prepare and tasty, too. Recommended!

Really see myself using this app but a few annoying bugs. Love the meal plans and the workouts! Found a few annoying bugs though, the shopping list gets buggy when trying to tick things off the list and sometimes freezes for me, and also my birthdate when entering always ends up being a day earlier than what I have put in the selector. Thanks!

Menu. The menu is great if you have the time, motivation and interest spending hours preparing a small plate of food. I need healthy options that I can eat that are genuinely fast and easy. You can’t delete food that you don’t like even though you may like the stuff in it. There isn’t a calorie counter for food that you eat that is not on the horrible menu. Far too expensive for what it is. Very disappointed.

$90 for a "free" app??. Are you kidding me?? I haven't even fully looked through the app and don't care to. Auto $90 charge on a FREE app is deceiving and sneaky. For that amount of money, I should have received emails listing what the next steps were. I hadn't added my credit card to this app, how was I to know there'd be a charge? ALSO, the options are to sign up for 3 months or a year...you auto renew me for a year??

Love It. I wouldn’t have survived without this app in this pandemic love the vegetarian recipe motivates me throughout the day only recommendation is to have more yoga for beginners using yoga blocks as well

Great, but.... Overall, this is a great app. The workouts are intense and I've seen results that are beyond my expectations. However...because of a rotator cuff injury from the military, while I can still do push ups, I cannot do a couple of the upper body/arm exercises. When I tell the app that I can't do the exercise properly, it tells me that I need to go back to "rookie" status, even though I've killed all the other workouts. Not making room for people who may have issues with one or two exercises, while advancing with all the other exercises, can be frustrating - especially when this is touted as for anyone who can do push ups.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. I canceled this subscription and continued to be charged. THEY DO NOT SEND OUT CONFIRMATIONS WHEN YOU CANCEL. They do this so you cannot dispute when they charge you. I have seen dozens of others who have been in the same situation. This company will steal your money and hide behind loop holes.

Good Workouts, Poor Meal Planning. This is a great app for getting back into fitness or starting a fitness regime. I do wish the exercises could be more tailored when it comes to injuries. For example, I had a torn rotator cuff and cannot do the extreme styles of push-ups or some arm exercises. I find myself either adapting my own exercise to replace a push-up or skipping them entirely. The meals are good. I have tried 3 now however the measurements are off. They are all for single servings and it’s hard to plan or shop sometimes. Also, you wouldn’t make just one serving of a meatloaf so adapting the recipes to at least 2 or meals would be helpful. To counter this, I have been doubling up everything in the recipes but it can get time consuming. Still a good app and great tool to use when traveling especially for the exercise!

Workouts. After a workout it doesn’t make u feel that much of a difference and I’ve been using this app for two months. Workouts should be more fulfilling

Comprehensive and diverse. Love this app. I’ve had it for a year and half now and am progressing through my program. It’s awesome to have a goal to work towards and the program does really build full body strength and overall fitness. I will stay with the app until I’m done my program and perhaps beyond that especially since they’ve added all these new workouts. I also love that you can tailor each workout by subbing in / out exercises to meet your level and I love the new classes they’ve added and weekly live classes. The meal plan as a vegan is kind of bland so I don’t follow that but it does provide some inspiration at times.

Charged me within 24 hours. I signed up for the year membership and was told there was a 14 day free trial. My credit card was charged within 24 hours

I cancelled but they charged me!. I tried the free trial subscription and I didn’t find the app to be useful so I cancelled it. It said my subscription would end June 16th 2018. Today I just got charged $91 for this app that I did not want! I am desperately trying to get a refund.

Apple Watch App and Widgets. I really love 8Fit, it’s an amazing app but when will we have an Apple Watch app and training widgets??

Disappointed they locked the free content. This was my favourite work out app! But the membership is expensive !!! So I stuck ti the free workouts which was all the pre tailored programs not just the first of each level but all 5 .. now you only get to preview the first of each level and that’s really sad. Make the app less expensive or keep free content

Need pro, basic gives you nothing. You can really try out anything before hand. Very very limited access to a couple of workouts. If you want to download and create an account you should be prepared to go to the pro version immediately, otherwise don’t bother.

Too expensive. Great program but honestly way to expensive for what the pro plan gives you

Bad business. I have already posted a review and they told me to contact them I resolve the fact that they won’t refund me. But instead they once again told me no refund would be issued. It says they have a Keto plan which they do not. ##- Please type your reply above this line -## Your request (25886) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email. Great job. It’s really cool I am getting great results

Great exercises. Great inspiration to exercise

App is ok. Not that impressed. Decent for the money

One star. Don’t download this once your done and with the app they don’t stop sending emails even if you block or delete the app or email address.

Do not use this app it won’t allow you to cancel your subscription. No support to cancel your subscription

price expensive. expensive

meal plans are amazing. the meal plans are simple, delicious and amazing I haven’t tried the workouts yet but I can vouch for the recipes

Almost nothing is free!!. I got the basic (free) plan a few weeks ago. I watched the beginner hitt workout on YouTube by 8fit. I loved it, it made me sweat and I felt so amazing after it. I got the app hoping it would show me even more hitt workouts. Except ALMOST NOTHING IS FREE! There are one or two free workouts that are just basic. I can’t seem to find any good hitt workouts anywhere. I would love for more workouts to be free. Also a side note.. I not willing to pay for the “pro plan” because I’m young and don’t have that money to spend on apps.

Easy set up. Easy set up for first work outs home style

Dates and meals. You can even get time zones right. I’ll be getting a refund.

ADD CUSTOMIZE WORKOUT PLAN. I wish I could customize a workout plan.

Navegar. Es difícil a navegar, regresar a la rutina, se aparecen diferentes ejercicios no deseados

Love it!!. Love this app really good for us non-exercisers :)

Love it!. Workouts tailored to each one capacity.

Great idea but..... The idea is great but it crashes every time I try and open it. Plus what you get for free is not worth it. So unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get the full package, don’t get it.

Simply perfect. Amazing short but challenging workouts tailored to your needs. Makes me WANT to workout!

😡. Don’t download!! Charges you even though you didn’t authorize any charges!😡

App working few days after paying for premium annual membership. We enrolled in annual premium membership looking at food reviews. However few days later it again showed premium contents as locked even though we paid for annual subscription till next year. When we click on choose your plan it says that you are already enrolled but still it’s stuck on loading page. Please fix the issue or refund back our annual membership charges.

Great app to get back in shape. I had the app for the longest time and was using the free version for the exercises. When I got a promotional discount for the year subscription I jumped on it and started using the meal planner. Without customization I was practically shopping every and over spending on groceries which ended up rotting in my fridge. HOWEVER! Once I got the hang of how the meal planning works and how I can customize certain ingredients...it was like the doors of heaven opened! The workouts were great for someone like me who wants to stay active but is too lazy to follow a certain workout routine and the meals work wonderfully! They are customized to fit your goal and after following them for a whole month I’ve lost a lot of weight without starting myself! This app was one of the only apps that has stayed on my phone for over 3 years and I couldn’t be happier with it! Keep up the good work 8fit team!

8fiit. Love Hiit it work out ! It takes you over the comfort level just by enough so you want to do it again !! I’m 57 years old 😄Deborah 57

Refund required. I had to chose a plan in order to see what the app was about, exercises & meal plan. Isn’t what I was looking for unfortunately, payment has already been taken, I would like a refund... thanks

Paid fir something I never used. Got the app! This month I look at my credit card statement and low and behold there’s a charge and I didn’t even know I had the app! Now just getting the run around to get my money back., DONT GET THIS!

Do not recommend. This app is not what you think it is, if I were you I wouldn’t subscribe. Apple support was helpful tho!

Automatic renewal : scam. The automatic renewal is ridiculus and not clear at all when you sign. You will be charge against your will with no possibilty of refund. Think twist.

Arnaque.

Too expensive. I got charge 99.9$ and I choose the monthly plans. Great app but I’m not buying again

Great!!. I love it so far, I wish it had a bit more free ones but I guess that’s what you get when your cheap like me lol

So frustrating. iPad version always on the vertical screen. I have the pro version. I like the exercises and the meal plans. That’s not the problem. The problem is 100% technical. I had it first on my iPhone. But now that I have a IPad, I downloaded it on my iPad. But the screen is always on its vertical side. It automatically goes on the vertical screen. Even if I ‘lock’ it. All iPad covers will hold the ipad up on its horizontal side. So when I exercise or read a recipe on my iPad while it is held in its cover, the app appears on its side. ALWAYS. So you can never have a good experience with this app on the iPad. Seriously, what is the point of having it on an iPad if you cannot watch it free-hand while exercising? I have to keep the iPad flat on the table instead of having it held up in its cover. This means I cannot see the screen when I exercise or cook. What is the point? They need to spend a bit more time thinking about the design of the app on the iPad. There is absolutely no point saying that it works on the ipad if it cannot be read on an horizontal screen.

Support will not respond. I had cancelled a lifetime discount subscription accidentally. Contacted support who said they would reinstate for me - I clicked on $99/year (-75%) discount but that did not work (to my confusion on a confusing ad) and paid full subscription cost. I have reached out multiple times (asking for just my discount to be reimbursed- I have been a loyal user for 2 years.) They won’t respond. Just feels like when I had canceled, they were quick to respond to my email to get me signed back up, but when I asked for help with reimbursing money- they apparently don’t have time or care to respond. Sadly disappointed.

Super app!. As good as going to group classes at the gym! Easy selection of workouts depending on what you wanna train, length, level and type of workout. Love it! Got my shape back quickly after 2 pregnancies 💪

Very Expensive App. Sometimes someone can’t afford:(

Free workouts. The app has a good pathway for someone who is new to exercising. Nice blend of workouts after which the body is so relaxed

8fit. i think this app is pretty cool and helps you reach your objective (lose weight, gain muscle, exc) there is also a premium version you can choose to pay for that comes with a meal plan and specialized classes. 10 out of 10!

Easy to follow. Short and sweet but you sweat!

It’s good but allow a bit more. It’s accually really good! I juat don’t like how many exercises are locked. And maybe a bit of the meal plan thing should be allowed. Other than that, I love it!!

Life Changing. This app provides workouts tailored to your specific goals, and the paid version provides meal plans with perfect portions for you and the goals you have set for yourself. It also puts together a grocery list, which is super helpful. Love this app! Unfortunately, changing my rating to 2 stars until the come up with another new update. This newest update is super glitchy. When I’m trying to plan my meals and change some of them, it changes the wrong date or won’t let me change it at all! Sometimes it won’t let me log my food, so I don’t get to see it on my tracking calendar. My meals for the current day are being posted as meals I’m not supposed to have until the next day. Super annoying. Love the app. Fix the glitch!

Amazing!. I’ve never really worked out, ever. I walked a lot, miles and miles. But I’ve never worked out and this app is amazing. It’s starts you off at ground level helping you build up muscle that you’ve never had before. The workouts can be intense if you want them to be. I love this app so much it has changed my whole view on nutrition itself. The news that you get on the app is so informative and helpful. Explaining why things are good for you or not good for you. Explaining what the food do for you and how they help your body grow and work. It’s truly amazing and this had changed my life.

AWFUL-False Advertising- Buyer beware of sneaky tactics to bill $30!!!. I downloaded the “free” app and when you try to cancel the app it does not just cancel but ties you into a 3mth commitment. They advertise easy but the recipe choices and interface came up with the same exact meal everyday for lunch, breakfast and prep time was far from easy- 40 min etc. i tried to cancel not realizing It was 3 months, when I get notified yesterday I was charged, I immediately contacted Apple and App Developer. They refer to a 7 day policy. If you are going to make it So difficult to cancel you should at least be up front and say we are going to charge you $30 up front.. it is not worth “free” it is definitely not worth $30 for 3 months.. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP unless you plan on spending $30 for NOTHING.. Awful.

Non-threatening fitness app. This is my first app review! I’ve never felt the need to write a review before, but I’ve been using 8fit on and off for a couple years (as a paid member) and I really feel like they deserve a review from me! I used to be a very athletic person. I’ve ran multiple full marathons, triathlons, an ultra, used to do CrossFit, have a personal trainer, etc. I fell off the fitness wagon. Honestly, my personality changed a bit where I didn’t feel like intensely working out anymore. But I did feel crappy I wasn’t working out as regularly as I used and was losing muscle tone. I really like 8fit because the short workouts are not intimidating and are rewarding. It works with my new lifestyle. I know I can always squeeze some time in, even when I’m watching TV in my living room! I’ve barely touched on the food portions of the app, but after reading so many positive reviews about it, I’ll check it out. Thanks 8fit team!

Poor customer service. I downloaded this app after talking to a friend. I accessed the trial period for meal plans to see if it would work for me and my family. For me, the meals weren't a good fit. The ones I tried were bland and it was unrealistic in time prep for breakfast/lunch- who has that much time in the morning?? Anyway I decided it wasn't going to work and tried to cancel my subscription and thought I had in the app. Then I got a charge and emailed 8fit and Apple with poor results bc apparently cancelling it in the app doesn't work, you have to go to your settings in some obscure part of settings for subscriptions. I am very unhappy with this outcome. I caution everyone using this app to be aware of "automatic" subscriptions that will be charged to your cc. Everyone should be aware bc I'm sure you're going to forget you signed up for this in a year.

Impressed with the amount of information. I’ve been looking for a good fitness app that offers interactive meal planning, preparation and tracking as well. It takes the thinking out of what to eat each time. If you don’t like the recommendations, you can change them on the fly. I’ve been able to exclude foods that I don’t like or can’t eat and the recipes actually taste good. The workouts are doable and interactive. Now, if the developers could work on integrating with a few fitness devices such as Fitbit I would be happy. For now it’s double entry of weight, food and workouts.

Nice App. I love how this app has workouts you are able to follow. The challenges are fun series of different exercises and they have a nice variety. I wish it was cheaper to use this app. I have a free three month trial and I am loving the app, but have a hard time justifying paying for it when my trial ends. We shall see. I wish it was easier to add meals in the sense you could search from a database to find certain foods/meals. I also wish the walking/steps from my Apple Watch transferred over. It would be nice to add a feature where you can see how much weight lost over a period of time (like a graph). Other than this, nice app!

Love the App but there are bugs. I love the workouts and the meal plans and how cheap everything is. There are 2 bugs I noticed where I put in my weight for the day and it logged my weight from the day before 5 times. It’s annoying because my weights graph is off and I have to delete the messed up weights 5 times and when you log back in they are there again. Bug #2 it makes me go through the tutorial every time I click on the app and it’s the same tutorial every time. Other than those 2 bugs the app is amazing.

Wish it had more but what it has is good!. I am really enjoying the full body workouts! Even the ones that have exercised that are hard for me. I feel like I’m starting to get into shape. It’s only week two but I’m feeling better. That all being said, I wish I had access to a couple more features (maybe even just meal log) with my free account. I understand the need to have more personalized features assigned to a paid account but I feel like at least the meal journal part would be really helpful for me. I just cannot afford another annual charge. Thank you, 8fit!

Really like the app, a couple bugs that I’d liked fixed. This app has really gotten me back in shape. I’m using the free features and I work out first thing, before I am allowed to leave the bedroom. Some bugs related to the audio cues: first, after the three second countdown (at the end of a rest of workout) there is an extra second pause before the chime rings. This is a new bug, the app didn’t used to do this. I expect it to go “boop (3)... boop (2)... boop (1)... DING” but it goes “boop (3)... boop (2)... boop (1)... (pause?)... DING” The other is a feature request: a louder “all done!” ding at the end of the workout. Sometimes a workout ends in doing something for X seconds and then the workout ends in the middle of that workout - but I don’t notice because I’m not looking at the screen. Oh also it would be nice if during an 8 set Rabat’s workout, if the dots that show how many sets are left would also show during the rest. It’s hard to look at the screen while I’m exercising.

Suggestion. I’m loving the app. It’s really nice to do quick workouts before work and to have a meal plan with ingredients listed. I think that the app could be really great if it allowed you to log short term goals on the calendar. Like in two months I want to be at x weight or at a higher body program. The program can just have a special notification for the goal day. So you can update the weight and see how much you’ve improved. It’s easier for most people to keep working out if they have both short term and long term goals that they’re working toward. I think it’d be nice to see it in the app.

Buyer beware. Read the fine print!. One star for deceptiveness. This review is NOT a review of the app’s functionality. Everyone who uses this app- did you read all of the terms of service, etc? There’s language in it saying you certify that you’ve consulted a doctor and, in addition to a host of other things you can’t or haven’t EVER had (dizziness when you’ve stood up, lost consciousness, been on blood pressure meds,...), you are certifying you aren’t obese... really. For an application that specifically advertises it will help you lose weight/fat, and includes options to select body fat percentages in excess of 48%, which exceeds the American Council on Exercise’s definition of obesity. So, if you can’t be obese and “legally” use the app, why do they allow you to set up a profile that states you are obese?! This might be a great application, but people need to be aware that if they have any conditions that rule them out from using the application and they still use the app, they have no recourse if anything comes up later that could be attributed to using the app. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised at the way the legal eagles buried the get out of jail free card in the fine print, but it has made me rethink using the app.

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES AND HORRIBLE APP. UPDATE: Not only is this App horrible, and I cancelled the App a long time ago. Recently, I received a unauthorized charge from this App and sent a message regarding said charge. No one from 8fit has resolved this issue. Last message I got from 8fit is that we can’t find your account. Since that message I have not heard from 8fit. BEWARE OF THIS APP AND COMPANY. This app is horrible. Once I paid for the subscription, it started crashing constantly. I have to log in twice for it to actually log in. Then, it automatically logs me out in a few minutes so I have restart the process. Totally unusable. I can’t log in now, and the forgot password option doesn’t send you an email. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem - upset that I paid money for this app after I noticed their different price options for different people.

Almost perfect. I love using this app, especially the format and the clear outline to follow during your workout yet great flexibility. However, I wish (1) you could schedule more than one future workout in the calendar function. and also (2) there should be a page where you could customize your own workout! i.e., decide reps or timer, add a description or possibly a photo, or even drag and drop 8fit photos/GIFs into your preferred sequence. I use some weight training moves which are not in my 8fit workouts and I would like to tailor make workouts. Hoping the designers read this!! 😊

Started slow but I love the progress. I got this app in Jan because you know everyone has a weight resolution at that time. Well I didn’t start using it until about early March and I absolutely love it. I started with novice workout it is super easy to follow the videos, and they are not ridiculously long for those of us who have busy mornings and evenings. Once my subscription expires I plan to renew it and keep going. The meal plans are also super easy. I honestly don’t follow them to much because I have a diet that I already follow but over all I love this app.

This is da bomb. I honestly can not stand fitness apps because they're usually exclusive to certain body types and you can barely customize them, but this one is so hella interactive and it basically runs itself after just a couple of questions and the upgrade is totally affordable for the quality you get. Also, the meal plan is super flexible and adaptable to everyone's needs. I personally don't have much time to cook or pack food at all, so the fact that it doesn't just impose some "heavenly" meal plan that I have to follow or else is awesome.

Billing Issues. Beware of this app, the company tends to charge you even if you canceled your membership & im yet to see a refund. They don’t have a number to call & everything is via email. Last year when upon my first attempt to download and pay for the app, even though I got an error, I was charged. I assumed the charge did not go through and tried a different card, but turns out I was charged twice on two cards for one membership. I never got my refund back upon multiple requests. This year I stopped my renewal ahead of the renewal deadline and I got charged anyway and 8fit ‘doesn’t see it’. I wanted this app for meal planning as a vegetarian, was extremely disappointed to see that they don’t post new meals or recipes and their collection is below par. Not impressed and left with a terrible experience. Don’t run into the same issues as me.

BEYOND FRUSTRATED!. Sooooo disappointed!!! 😢 I’ve been using 8Fit for MANY years and have responded to their requests for feedback to improve the app on numerous occasions. Today, all of a sudden, after completing the Champion Level V workout program (just as I’ve done NUMEROUS times before) I now have to subscribe and pay $25 every month in order to do ANY of the Champion Workouts OR anything other than the basic level of the other workout program! I’m very saddened to say this but I can no longer recommend this app to friends and family. The developers no longer give the impression that they truly want to help people improve their health and fitness but it now appears they are more interested in getting money. Very sad that an app that I beyond LOVED and used on a daily basis has changed so drastically and suddenly!

Poor customer service/ rip off. I requested cancellation of the app a day after I was suppose to cancel. I completely forgot about the app and had previously deleted it, hence why I forgot to cancel in time. It just didn't work for me. Anyway, a customer service rep by the name of Cheryl Joseph refused to issue me a refund even after I told her I forgot I downloaded it, it wasn't a good fit & I never used it. Here I am stuck with a year subscription where I paid 60+ dollars for. It is now 5 months after I requested the refund and I still don't use this app. I can still think of so many other things I could have used my hard earned money on. I still feel the same way. Never used this app and my year subscription is now expiring in one month. $60 down the drain. Definitely will never recommend. There are other workout/meal plan apps out there with better customer service & content compared to 8fit. Plus they buy followers and likes so don't fall for the hype. It's a common practice amongst startups. Unless 8fit plans to give me my money back then what is the point in contacting them. Must have struck a nerve for them to reply to my comment since I originally left one a year ago. Files nails.

First update in 5 months with mishap. I looooooooooove this app! It's great! Super helpful! It's really helped with just knowing what to really purchase for a healthy diet. The recipe book is one of my favorite parts of the app, but the recent update has caused the cookbook to lose all of my recipes that I saved and includes every recipe, when I only chose certain preferences. For the diet plan, you can choose specifically every ingredient you want, don't want, and that's AWESOME! I know this will be fixed because you all have been very quick at repairing mishaps. This is the first one in 5 months, so I find that spectacular. Thank you so much for such a great app and it keeps improving! Love it!!

LOVE the 8fit app! YOU WANT IT!. I love the 8fit app! It’s so easy to use unlike some of those other apps that are so time consuming. I love being able to tailor a meal plan to my preferences and diet restrictions but it doesn’t hide all the other options from you. I love the quick workouts, too, and that you can chose an alternate exercise than the one provided. I wish you could have friends on the app. It’d fun to see what your other app users are doing. My bootcamp class uses it and it’d be fun to be able to see them all on the app. That’s my only negative about this app. YOU WANT THIS APP!

Good but needs some improvement. Updated 7/25: After using this app for less than a week I e now had it completely stop working. Every time I try to start a workout I’m getting a white screen. No workouts. On both my iPad and iPhone X. I really liked this app until this morning. I’m not sure if the developers pushed an update but it no longer functions. Extremely disappointed. If it doesn’t fix itself in the next day or so I’m going to have to find something else. :( Pros: - Like the customization of the workouts - for a beginner like myself I appreciated the consideration of those beginner workouts where most fitness apps would have me doing a burpee right off the bat. - nice ability to substitute workouts if one is too easy or hard. - recipes actually look really tasty (haven’t tried them yet though) Cons: - no ability to track calories of any custom meals. MyFitnessPal is much better for this. And free. :-( - unless you sign up for the free pro trial, there’s no way to use (or even preview) any meal details at all. Very bad experience imo. - wish there was a countdown of calories left for your day like MyFitnessPal so you could track where you are. Especially helpful when substituting their suggested meals for that day.

Love this app!. I am just using the free app but I started the app on January the 8th and I have lost 15 pounds so far and I love the workouts I have 2 kids at home that I homeschool so not a lot of time to go to the gym and so this works out perfectly for me. I do wish on the free side they would let u utilize at least a few of the meal plans but other than that I would recommend this to anyone. I have never tried yoga before and was excited to see that it was on here and I can tell such a difference in my body since starting it. It has helped with range of motion and back pain... I really just can’t say enough about it!

Used to love this app until today. I have a pro account and the main reason I pay for it it’s because the sleep meditation was the best thing I got from it. I struggle to fall asleep sometimes and this app worked its wonders but today can’t find the feature anywhere. Looks like I will be cancelling my subscription. What a shame Update: I truly appreciate the response from the developer and the fact that the meditation I use everyday returned. However this was short lived since the ned update got rid of then again and incorporated a new list of new meditations for different things. I think it’s great to add variety but unfortunately the one I was using is gone. It’s a great app so I hope it works for others

Clarity if app is TERRIBLE. Hope you don’t plan on canceling because it doesn’t work!!! I tried to cancel my subscription after a few days of using it because I decided it wasn’t a good fit for my health and fitness needs. Everything was a little complicated and confusing for me and I couldn't stick to the plans they had laid out. Now, about a week or two after that, I was charged $60 for the yearly subscription. Why would you have a button in the app to cancel the subscription if it ultimately won’t do anything?? I now have put in so much money for an app I will likely NEVER use. I’m a college student and every penny counts, so losing $60 because a company doesn’t care if we cancel the subscription means I can only eat ramen for a week or so. Not too good for my health and fitness, huh?

20 POUNDS LOST... it works guys. No seriously, I love this app and all I do is tell my friends about it. It’s kind of annoying but they see how I’ve changed. I went from 235 to 215 during spring semester at my university. These workouts are difficult but are over before you know it. In fact, you’re done in 25 minutes (incl. pre-stretching, warmup) so I started throwing in abs twice a week and cardio after each workout. I’ve already done 70 workouts and I’m so proud of where I’ve come. My body composition has changed so much because I’ve gained muscle while losing fat with short pre-planned workouts. THANKS 8FIT!

The most you will ever get out of a free workout app. I cannot speak to the power of this app enough. I only use it for the workouts and I just reached the master II level and I still have SO many more workouts left! I use this probably twice a week and I absolutely love their workouts and that you can replace exercises with different ones if it’s not a good fit. They will recommend different ones based on ability level (i.e. pistol squat can be replaced with assisted pistol, shrimp squat, etc). I might try the meal prep component too.... 8fit I am a fitness guru and want desperately to work for you or be a rep for you!!! I cannot support this app enough!!

Great app but billing a hassle. I love this app have lost weight on it and is super motivating and I love the workouts. But… The billing on this has been a hassle after hassle. I only wanted a three month subscription and somehow got billed for one year. Spent time on the phone with Apple trying to figure it out and ended up getting one year. A month later I noticed that I have been billed for one year and three months at the same time. I was being billed again for three months basically meaning I was double billed. Spent an hour chatting with Apple again trying to sort it out they ended up only refunding me one month and it ended up canceling my subscription without my knowledge. I am going to give up and try a different app

AMAZING. i absolutely love this app :) it lets me customize my own workouts based on what part of my body i wanna strengthen that day and change the level of difficulty. if i could fix 1 thing i would make the meal plans free- i bought one of the meal plan deals ($5/month) and i use it enough to make it worth the money- if someone wants to find their meal plan but won’t use it all the time they probably aren’t going to buy it. other than that i fricken love 8fit and totally recommend it to everyone who wants workouts/meals suitable for them-great work!!!

Customizable, User-friendly, Perfect!. I’ve tried several exercise and meal plan apps, and this one is the best by far. After my first baby, the hormones of the pregnancy caused early development of arthritis. I have chronic pain in my hips, knees and lower back. This app customized a great workout plan that allows me to work at my own pace, and to skip exercises that I’m unable to do. They are also shorter which is helpful with a baby is the house, again that’s customizable so if you’re looking for longer and harder workouts this app will still work for you! I also like the reminders I can schedule to my phone to help me stay on track; and after a while I bought the meal planning feature and once again, it’s easy to follow and very customizable for your budget/time/tastes and how fast you want to lose weight/gain muscle. I am 100% all in with this app and I can’t wait to see the results! Before and after pics to come!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for in a weight loss app. I’ve been using this app for about 2 weeks now. I’ve only had 1 recipe that I didn’t like. I enjoy cooking and I find the recipes easy and flexible to change if I don’t have an ingredient on hand. I love the alternative options in the recipes too. As for the workouts, the music has been fun, each exercise is shown and descriptions on how to perform are available. It’s amazing that you can get a good workout in in 15 minutes without having to go to the gym. I’m pleasantly surprised at how fun I’m having with this app and I’ve already lost 5 pounds!

Great!. I really enjoy being able to pick a “program” of workouts that lasts for some time interval so there’s a theme. The workouts vary day to day enough that it doesn’t get super boring and there’s always a set time commitment so it’s easier to motivate myself to keep coming back. The UI itself is easy to use and, mostly, intuitive. Love the clean but not boring interface and the non nonsense on picking a workout, meal, etc. one tiny ask is to make it more explicit to track progress/ do check ins and change up the program and give guidance along the way on what’s working and what isn’t. Great job!

This app started my fitness project and I still use it!. I love the increased offerings 8Fit has added to the app. I can count on a good workout when I don’t have time to go to the gym. It’s so challenging that my husband says it sounds like I’m dying when I work out…but that is only during the plyometric exercises. I’m 68 and just don’t jump. I haven't used the food side yet. I began using it 3 years ago and list an average of 4 pounds a month until I lost 32 pounds. That’s when I started mixing in gym workouts. I recommend this app all the time to people who want to get healthier!

Easy to follow. This is the best workout regime I've used. I love the sounds to cue a new exercise or a rest period, and the visuals clearly show what I need to do. I also appreciate the written instructions in case if the visual leaves me with questions. For people who have injuries, it's possible to skip an exercise that would cause pain or be difficult to accomplish. From my answers in the initial questionnaire, 8fit matched me perfectly with workouts I am capable of. I'm going to sell my elliptical because this app is way better, and takes up less space. :)

Great programs but inaccurate calories. I like the progression of difficulty as short workouts. I love that they are free as well. It’s a great app for morning workouts. However, when comparing with other apps, exercise journals, calorie statistics and sometimes the effort that is put into the workouts, I really doubt I have every burned that high of a number of calories. The total is way inflated and claims you burn in 15 but most other high intensity workouts will burn in 25 minutes. The reason this bothers me is because of my Apple Watch. I want my Move goal calorie total to be accurate and this throw it off. I also can’t figure out how to stop the app from reporting to my app, there aren’t any clear direction in the app, Apple Watch or Health app.

Awesome. This is an awesome app. I have been using it for two months already, and I have never missed a single day, because the workouts are perfect: not too easy and not too hard, they are short enough to do them in the morning before breakfast and it is also possible to personalize them when necessary. It shows the amount of burned calories, which is important for me, so I could count how much I ate vs how much I burned. Also, it can count your steps and show you the burned calories as well. Overall, this is the best fitness app I have ever had, there are plenty of other good features, I really love it.

Thuggish and deceptive subscription model. Beware, the UI is set up to trick you into thinking you have cancelled. Settings—>Cancel subscription—>report feedback—>hit cancel subscription button. THIS DOES NOT CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. You will get hit with a 60 dollar charge if you do not cancel it through iTunes. I am sampling several diet apps at the moment and had short-listed this one, but I refuse to give my money to any company that would actively deceive to hit you with such a significant subscription cost (no option to go monthly). We should not support companies whose practices behave this way. 8fit, make this right. I feel tricked. Net-loss to my well being. Also it cost 200 dollars to buy groceries for 4 days of their recommended plan. So this 60 dollars actually did hurt the pocketbook.

It helps. I’ve been doing these exercises now for 2 months I wanna say and I have seen a difference. I could never run or do anything that revolves around “getting fit”, now I can run up the stairs without loosing breath and can pick up 2 cases of water without struggling. I do 2 exercises combos each day for 6 days out of the week giving Sunday my rest day to relax my muscles. Download it if your wanting to loose that stomach, gain back your strength, or just simply make yourself feel like new, it’s free so why not try it for a month, give yourself a chance to make those New Years resolutions checked off.

Enjoying workouts but disappointed that I cannot do the trial period for overseas. I’m loving the free version so far but I accidentally clicked passed the free pro trial and cannot find a way to do it now. I wanted to try it before I buy it because I am in the Philippines and I don’t know if the mea planning will work out here. Most other plans only do American style grocery lists. I like that I can customize so that I can only use what is available but I do not want to buy until I see what kind of shopping list and meals will come up. Is there any way to get the free trial back so I can test it out?

Scam garbage. I downloaded the trial to this app. I tried it out and didn’t like it. I even tried to contact support without any luck. I even canceled the subscription before the trial was over but I still got charged. I contacted apple and they confirmed that I canceled the subscription. But when I tried to dispute the charge the bank refused to do anything even though I canceled the subscription before the trial date. This app is trash and does not work and once you give them your card number they will keep on charging you over and over for a garbage app. The only way to get them to stop is to cancel your card. Do not ever give them your card number ever. These thieves will steal as much money as possible from you.

Weight loss journey.... A year ago I decided that I needed to change.. I was at 220 and I basically loathed myself. I started dieting and a friend told me about this app. A year later I’m at 135 and I’m feeling amazing. This app even without paying for it has helped me make better choices and get in better shape. I ended up buying the pro version in January as a thank you. I walk every day and I try to use this app everyday. It’s been an amazing experience. If you download this make sure to check out the blog and make this program a habit. I highly highly recommend this.

Enjoy!. I really enjoy this app! Not sure what it is, out of all the exercise apps I have downloaded on my phone, I seem to stick with this one! I’ve even paid for the subscription. However, this evening when I did my workout, it said it was downloading videos, as usual but none of the video moves were visible. I thought I just needed to refresh the app itself, but it continued to not display the videos. It was just annoying. Hopefully this is just a minor glitch with a simple fix! I’ll still be using the app 😊

Brilliant Customer Support. 8fit customer support deserves a shout-out. First fitness subscription I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of questions and technical difficulties of my own making. I’ve had nothing but prompt email responses, and when a proposed solution doesn’t work, the team keeps in touch until it’s resolved. Also, first app review here. HIGHLY recommend. A feature to consider in the future: option to include weight training in the fitness regimen, with guided reps based on individual targets. I do appreciate not needing any equipment, but this could expand the app’s functionality for those who have access to a gym.

LOVE!!! ❤️. I am a new mom and have a lot of weight to lose, and this app is perfect for my life style. I tell all of my family and friends about it because I’m actually seeing changes in my life and body! The workouts are short and change daily so I don’t get bored or make excuses for not doing it. I also like the reminders and positive messaging. The last thing I love is that I can change the exercises to meet my ability and comfort level and how the videos show you exactly what to do. This app is excellent. I could keep going on and on!!!

WOW! Just get this already!. I’m not one to pay for apps typically but I LOVE this app. I have been working out almost daily, meditating more, and just really loving this app. It has practical meal options, a HUGE variety of workouts to choose from (with the Pro version), and is just a really fun and easy way to workout. They have short workouts or longer workouts to meet your needs. I’m a mom of two and I feel like my core has never been stronger! The customer service is also AMAZING! Just try it, because I don’t think you will regret it.

Great app, but paying suffers through ads. Great app. Definitely in better shape with it and the workouts mostly be done anywhere. There is a MAJOR con. Stupid advertisements, even for paying customers. The bad-they have a stupid group challenge going on. EVERY TIME I open the app to use it, I have to decline their stupid group fitness challenge before I can work out. I am a paying subscriber and shouldn’t have to be annoyed with the ad EVERY TIME I workout. You know what, I declined it the first time. What makes you think that asking me 25 more times over a month is going to change my mind? At the very least, give paying subscribers the option to select “don’t show me this again”. It’s enough to make me NOT recommend this app to anyone and on the verge of unsubscribing myself.

Honestly better than I thought.. Unlike the majority of these fitness apps looking to grab a quick buck, this app (even though it has a lot of paid features) still gives you its intended purpose for free. It makes working out a breeze by telling you what to do and even demonstrating a short video of how to do with instructions so that you actually do it right. It’s perfect for those who wanna start working out but don’t know where to start. Having reminders set so you stay on track and even counting down for you. This is basically a personal trainer you keep inside your pocket.

two week trial trap. Can’t remember how the interface was set up, but I basically felt like I had to say “yes” to the trial. I did a couple workouts, wasn’t liking it much because you have to stop to hit the “next” button, so it feels disjointed. Forgot about the trial period by a few days (my fault), emailed and 8fit would not prorate or refund anything — stuck with a $60 annual fee. They offered a personal trainer at no charge, so I accepted and decided to give it another try. Got a message via email from the trainer that said I could reply via email or through the app. Replied via email, then got two messages saying she did not get my reply. The trainer also asked for full-body shot photo of me, which I decided not to submit. Hoping this experience improves; pretty disappointed with it so far. I assume the trainer is supposed to help motivate me but she’s had the opposite effect so far.

Love this app!. I love this app! I’m very beginner when it comes to working out, and this app allows me to start slow. I’m 27 and have never really worked out in my life due to a fast metabolism, but you know that slows down eventually. :) I’ve been using it for just over a week, but it’s progressively gotten slightly more challenging each day and I am loving it! I’m feeling sore, even though the workouts are sometimes less than 10 minutes! It’s a great app for people that are trying to get into working out and start a healthier lifestyle.

So far so good. I’ve been using the app for about four days and the recipes are very easy to follow. I like how the Weekly food schedule then automatically links up to the grocery cart depending on how many portions you have scheduled for the week. The food tastes delicious, portions are small but they’re what they should be. The activity tracking could be better. I’d Love for it to connect with my Apple Watch. Also while we may not be counting calories per say, I would like to be able to log my food by scanning it in from the package to get an accurate calorie count. Like is used in MyFitnessPal app.
