Have you ever been addicted to your phone and just cannot put it down? Forest provides an interesting solution to beat your phone addiction. You can plant a seed in Forest. In the following time, this seed will gradually grow into a tree. However, if you cannot resist the temptation and leave this app to check Facebook or play a game, your tree will wither away. With this interesting mechanism, the sense of achievement and responsibility will drive our users to stay away from their phone with no pain.

A smart idea for us to tune out the noise.
The app crashes every time I go to tags-overview-monthly view Please fix this.
Downloaded this app along with a few other apps to help with focus. I used it once, started a tree. At the end of the day, I had a forest. I never touched the app for hours. This program is probably helpful for many people, just not for me. Forturnately for the developer, I am still paying for it... Sincerely, Too Dumb to Cancel a App Subscription
Definitely helps keep you focused and helps develop consistent working habits.
I used to have a massive issue with procrastination and not doing homework, studying, and meditation. This app has helped me do my homework, study, workout, do meditation, stop using my phone, and becoming a overall more concentrated person. This app holds me responsible by planting bushes and trees and prevents me from exiting the app for more than around 10 seconds. It's also really great because I can close my phone with the app still running and I can still receive important calls from others when the app is on- so God forbid anything bad happens, I can still be available.
This app really helped me to think about time in a different way. I'm usually quick to lose focus and the day seem to get away from me in no time but after planting my first couple of trees it felt as though I had more time in the day. It's pretty amazing. Give it a try if you're feeling like there isn't enough hours in the day, you can actually get a lot done in 24 hours.
Save the trees!
I've been using this app for years now, forgetting about it here and there. This last year, though, I made it a habit and remember to open it when I have a task that needs my undivided attention. The ease of use is welcomed, in addition to the overall presentation. The trees and bush types one can acquire are adorable and thought out, with variations based on the time one sets for the goal. The unlock-able sounds are basically the only ones I don't unlock, but maybe others have uses for it. I also look forward to spending my earned coins on a real tree in the future, now that I use this app often enough to make it a reality. The app does a very good job of explaining the process. If I'd ask for any improvement, it would probably be in the layout of the forest. Once a person has a number of trees for the month, the placement feels a little repetitive or uniform. Mirroring a few of the trees might help alleviate this, and possibly grouping related trees/bushes in rounded patterns, instead of rows. Otherwise, it is very awesome to see my efforts visualized. Worth the dough in my opinion, if one makes it a habit.
Great for time management and keeping me accountable with my time!
Helps me focus and reminds me to focus when I try to side track myself. Thanks.

I like the good design. But the credits are too slow to get. When I saw there were many achievements to get, I focused too much on planting more efficiently to get more points. I felt anxious to see the grey icons. This kind of productivity app should be as simple as possible. We purchase it at first, please don't always think about earning money by giving a lot of functionality.
I've been using it for a few days at work when I'm more easily distracted, and it has worked very well so far.
The app was really helpful when it was working but I'm forced to give it 1 star because for the past 2 months it exits as soon as I open the app. Please fix this!
I have SelfControl on my computer, but still managed to distract myself with my phone. While this doesn't lock me out, it still keeps me on track. I love the motivations/reprimands I get when I look at the screen--they help a lot!
Is veru gud app get it
I've been using the forest app for years now. I still love the adorable little forest as well as the ability to donate for tree planting in real life. It's been helpful in getting me to stop checking my phone six times a minute.
I am honestly getting more accomplished in my life because of this app. It just reminds me that I can really go 30 min. or 1 hour or (gasp) even 2 hours without needing to look at my phone. It is a gentle reminder of the value of time. So much so, that my teenage daughter decided to get it for her phone! On her own - with no prompting for me!!!!!
"Is this email worth killing an innocent tree?", I question to myself each day. I've selfishly done it, but I'm left with an overwhelming feeling of guilt as I now bear this dead foliage forever. "Never again", I tell myself as I being sowing a new seed to try to cover my regret under new leaves.
I always procrastinate on starting big assignments and forest forces me to. I like to just put my music on shuffle turn on forest for an hour and get it done. I think we've all grabbed our phone to skip a song and ended up on Twitter for twenty minutes before, so it helps me just let my phone be and focus.
Lots of tree species and sound tracks to unlock, as well as many achievements, gives the app a game-like feel even when the "game" is not using your phone. I recommend Forest to all my friends at uni.
