Great app. In the beginning I didn't really have too much use for this, but decided to keep it. Now I use it for watermarking my pictures and it was so well! It works great because you can change the opacity, size, lighting etc... And easy to use too! Love how it saves the settings and I can just go back and change the pictures to add watermark without starting over!

A Must Have!. I use this far more often than I thought I would when I first downloaded it (obtained as a "free app of the week"). Very occasionally crashes if I do a lot quickly, but that is easily avoided by slowing myself down. I am also using an older device (iPod 5, runs iOS 9.3 max). Otherwise this app does what is advertised, and the tools are simple and straight forward. I use this mostly to either make my own wallpapers, or to add a black edge to wallpapers I've collected to use with perspective view. I can recommend all of the apps by Pixite* as I purchased all except Shift. If you use Instagram or take a lot of photos (I don't), Shift would be useful, I believe. I also recommend creating a folder (I named mine Current Project) to make finding the things you want to work on quickly, as the order photos are displayed are not the same as when they're viewed in the photos app. Scrolling quickly crashed the app on me prior to making the folder, but again that could be due to my Flinstone-era device. *All for photo editing. I have no idea if they make anything else

almost 5 stars B(. hi!! ive been using union for a WHILE to make pngs, and so far it’s been very helpful!! however, i just noticed that a new update made it so that instead of creating pngs, it just adds a white background to the back instead of completely getting rid if the background. this makes me really sad bc i have to find another app to make pngs and i paid money for this one.... please fix this!!!

Simple yet sophisticated.. This app has been on my phone for a very long time. The photo editing is simple, but there’s so much you can do. The flatten tool is my favorite because I can just keep going adding multiple images. One thing I would suggest for the developers is adding a rotation feature when zooming in/out by twisting two fingers clockwise or counter clockwise. Also being able to add multiple layers, and rearranging them would be cool.

where’s my money. I bought this app when it was a one time purchase and now it’s a subscription, where is my money, I’d rather purchase photoshop considering it’s a one time purchase and not 5.99 a month for eternity this is nothing special there’s many other apps on the appstore which offer what this does don’t waste your money, I would’ve recommended this years ago but now I can’t in good conscience say that you should. and yes this is over like 5 dollars. it’s really that serious when they disregard their own consumers like most in the mobile market, I think we should strive for better. to add on top of this the free trial doesn’t work for me and crashes the app anytime I try to save, to see the fall from grace of this company, it’s sad. atleast my app used to work when it was a one time purchase, knowing their actions they’d probably make their other two counter parts to this app subscriptions, as consumers we have a right to not like so many subscriptions for things which just don’t need it, we already have to pay for them in the movie/film industry imagine a world where everything was a subscription. pretty soon we’ll have subscriptions for water bottles, what a cruel world, first world problems to the max.

Professional Results, So Easy. I haven't done much more than change the background on photos, but it's so easy that makes it impressive enough. The ability to two-finger zoom gives you the most clean, professional results. I've tried programs on my laptop that weren't nearly as easy. Union is my go-to.

Love it but.... I have been using this app since I started inserting my signature logo onto my pictures. Everything was fine until now. I went to use the app to insert the signature and it says it is in blend mode, but my signature is a white square that goes on top of the picture. This never happened before. I hope there is something that will be fixed otherwise I can't use it. Thank you. Sandra

Best image-manipulation tool ever. I love Union.. Open it and start playing! If I were stranded on a desert island with nothing but a solar charger, my iPad, and a wifi connection to the Internet, this would be the one app I would choose to have with me. Endless fun and capabilities. Easy to use. It makes the most of your imagination. The above was from at least 2 years ago. I STILL love this app. Get more use out of it than any other photo app.

Amazing. One of the very few app reviews I have done. I constantly use this app to create stupid photos of my friends for our group chat and this is my go-to tool. Everything is very intuitive and easy to use. I love the iCloud support so I can bounce from iPhone to iPad if I want to work on a bigger screen. I have tried out other apps to see if there are better once out there but I always come back to this one. The simplicity and layout always bring me back. I must disclose that I got this on promo for free years ago but I would purchase this app compared to the others that function similarly.

Best Cheap App for Combining Images.. I have been using union ever since it released several years ago and I hope it’s here to stay, because it’s very simple and easy to use. I have used it for many purposes from memes to collages, and it never disappoints. Of course to get it absolutely perfect sometimes if the images you’re cutting don’t have solid bright backgrounds, it can take a hot minute to refine it manually; but the point is, with Union, it’s simple to do that on your touch screen (it even gives you a little magnifying glass so you can clearly see what you’re doing on smaller parts since your finger will block the view.) so you can easily do it from your phone or iPad as opposed to your pc. (Photoshop is expensive, and although tools like GIMP exist for free on PC, Union is even more convenient if you’re on the go or instantly have an idea.) I’m writing this review because I feel like it deserves one, (and I NEVER write reviews, lol) and because I see the last update was a couple of years ago; I really hope the app gets updated again in the future and doesn’t become outdated with new apple software 😭 I use it so frequently, I’m sure there’s other apps I could learn but this one is my favorite and makes things so easy!! So, if you’re wondering if it’s worth it, trust me; it is. It’s been my best friend for many years now, and you gotta take advantage of it before it’s gone.

Fantastic. Union is so easy to use and works great. I was using another popular layering app that would only allow the background photo to be square, and the overlaying image also had to be square. You had to have the overlay positioned exactly where you wanted it before you imported it. A real pain. Union allows any image size, and you can make adjustments in brightness, saturation, etc. The overlaying image can be any size, AND you can move it around, change its size, even tilt it! SO much easier! The last few images you combined are saved in the app so you don't have to start from scratch if you want to go back and make changes. That's a very convenient feature. I am extremely happy with Union and use it all the time. A big Thank You to the developers! 😘

Save a lot of $ and just get this. I love it. I use it all the time. It’s easier to Eraser tool the thing along with the background and then redraw where you know it to be. Also look for whatever missing item you need by searching it’s name along with the term PNG to get it without needing to erase anything. Also Trump is terrible.

Glitchoholic here. I literally can’t do the photo manipulations I want without Union. I drag my carefully composed images through FTM Image, Union and Glitché, often with dozens of steps to get the abstract look I want. The color/contrast/invert and layer mode tools give you SO many options, as well as touch scaling and angling for the foreground layer. I’d be interested to see more options for the Mask layer someday, but even as it is, I can find ways to use it to strengthen the composition on my abstractions. Flattening and exporting are simple. This is an app worth playing and experimenting with.

Fantastic app for abstract photography!!!!. I have been trying to get into photography for a few years now but I found that I could never capture what I saw and thought of scenery just from single still photos alone. I love to merge the photos to create crazy looking abstract pieces. The merging feature is really the star of the app, the photo editing features are alright but I still prefer to edit photos in the Apple photos app or in photoshop; that being said however, it does have every default tool you need get those good edits. All in all, if you’re looking to get into abstract photography this app is a must-have.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the change. I purchased this app very long ago as part of a pixite bundle, I was shocked to be greeted with a skake down to pay for your application with a monthly subscription?! This is disgusting behavior for an application aimed at creatives. I’ve paid you already and now you’re convinced I should pay you indefinitely?! It’s getting really tired how many former great applications are jumping on the subscription band wagon to make more money. Here’s some advice, keep the app simple, keep your existing customers, develop a new app. Trying to squeeze every ounce of blood from your applications only frustrates users like myself that USED your application on the go for quick mockups for clients... Congrats Pixite you’re officially sheisters just like all the rest.

??????. i have had and used this app for YEARS, and suddenly i virtually can't anything unless i pay for union pro???? i had paid for this app. i’m not paying a subscription just to be able to use it. this had been my all time favorite app for years. it holds many memories for me. why??? i can't even restore purchases?????? edit: the restoring purchase finally worked and the app is all back to normal. to anyone that comes here with struggles of this, make sure to restore purchases and swipe out of the app if it doesn't automatically appear

Problem with importing photos from the camera roll. This app does one thing very well, but it takes FOREVER to open the interface to import photos from camera roll. The app just hangs from 2-7 minutes and then displays the camera roll to choose from. Also, I can’t seem to resize photos on foregoing or background after the initial once import. It’s becoming a drag to use.

This is amazing. Really great! I can make great photos. I can act and I can let other people act to make really funny photos. I made one of me flying, me meeting one of my favorite book characters, and much more! Thank you for letting me make really cool photos. If you can't do it, you make it! I really like this app, and I would not have made amazing photos without this. It really helped me, and I can fool my friends with real photos, like “I got a drivers license when I was 11,” “I learned to fly,” or “It LITERALLY rained cats and dogs at our house.” This is definitely the app to let out your imagination, and use it to create amazing photos, and it is surprisingly easy to use! I cannot wait to see what other people’s imaginations have with this app! Don’t be too scared, let your wild side out with this app.

Are you kidding me?!?!. I’ve supported/bought this app and every other pixite app for years and now, without any warning, all my projects are locked behind a stupid paywall?! I’m so sick of greed ruining EVERY. THING. I’m done. Edit: this was apparently a bug that has since been fixed. Review changed back to its deserving five stars. Appreciate the response Pixite team.

Fantastic app!. Super easy to use and just what we have been looking for! As amazing as the iPhone is, it's sometimes difficult to capture the beauty we see with the naked eye; in addition to allowing one to combine photos that show the best of both the foreground and background, this app allows for creativity in selecting entirely different foregrounds and backgrounds. So great!

Truly Great. This app is designed in such a thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing way. It’s easy to use, and it feels like every feature I could possibly want for something like this (kind of like Photoshop on a phone) has been fully considered and included whenever possible and practical. Fav app. Union is one of my favorite apps - that's saying a lot for a person that is constantly looking for new apps and deleting them after 2 days. Unions interface is extremely user friendly and have straightforward controls. Editing and masking photos is made super simple whether you're going for a professional look, or an amateur just messing around. I love it so much. Keep it up!! Pro tip: turn your friends into backgroundless people and insert them into funny scenarios.

Such a wonderful way to practice compositing!!. I do lots of manipulation to images so I love Pixite’s approach to this process. Like other Pixite apps, Union is powerful and brilliant conceptually. It takes a bit to find all the power available in the app but it’s easy to make basic moves right away. Wish the magic wand had better “memory” and wasn’t quite so touchy. Overall, a powerful and fun way to explore layering and blending.

One of my most consistently used apps. I just wanted to take a moment and personally thank the entire team for creating "Union". I don't typically send reviews like this, but when I opened Union to use it (as I do weekly), I just had a moment of realization that it's been a couple years now that I've been using the app, and I'm so thrilled at how it simply just...WORKS. It's incredibly useful for creating content, and I've now made hundreds of memes and photo edits with it without any sort of issues. Thank you for building such a powerful, yet consistent app. The care put into build it does not go unnoticed.

Gets the job done!. I forgot I downloaded this app years ago. I was recently searching the App Store for picture editing apps. After downloading, trying, and deleting a few of of the top rated apps, I thankfully stumbled upon this app, already on my phone! It gets the job done quickly and easily!

please please don’t waste your time. compared every other app there is, it’s probably in my top 5 of the worst apps out there. you can’t even save or share your work unless you buy the pro version. the controls are not organized in a nice and smooth way, and the erasing tool isn’t so great either. I tried to manage my way with it, but I really don’t like how it feels and it’s really easy to mess up your work too. the lighting options are basic and there isn’t much of them either. It’s your phone and your choice to have whatever app you want, but if you want to here it from me, please don’t waste of time or money on this.

Company needs UI/UX devs in a BIG WAY. Aside from the constant crashing, this app is poorly designed. While its functionality (when it works), is quite exceptional, it is not intuitive whatsoever, and this is coming from someone who’s done photography and graphic design for over 15 years AND is a millennial! I know photography and graphic design, and I know my gadgets and tech. The processes and functions on a foundational level and from the on-set are convoluted and lack any basic logic. Part of me wonders if the team has even tried to use their own product. I’m part of an IT andsoftware development firm, so I know that what is logical on the backend and in development/to the developer doesn’t always transfer to the client. However, I already took that into account before I wrote this review. My point still stands - horrible user interface and user experience all around.

Union is a Homie. I love Union. I've used it and a handful of other photo editing apps for many years (I'm a film student/photographer) and it's one of the few that have consistently delivered and not hassled me about "subscribing for access" or "purchase for no watermark." Not only that, but it works really well. It's excellent for making Vector images. I just love it. Union, you guys are great. Keep it up. 🥰

Perfect!! ❤️. Extremely user friendly! This app does everything I want it to do and more!! The only drawback is that is I'm adding two pictures from 2013 for example, the final project is saved to my camera roll with that date as opposed to the date I created it (today's date). Easily fixed because I find the picture in streaming photos to find the image date then find that date in my collection and transfer it to a new folder. It would just be simpler if I didn't have to do that. But considering how perfect the app is overall, I can overlook that. I ❤️ this app!!

Within the four years I had this app, not once has it ever failed me.. After four years, I never had an issue with this application. I even just decided now to give it a five star review just because it has always been handy for me. It is definitely worth its price. For context, I normally use the application whenever I want to create creative cover photos along with a separate app to add texts of various fonts. Additionally, I’ve also used the app to edit people who are separated, together in a picture. I’ve gotten compliments with the works I’ve done with this app. It is very easy to use, and just fun to work with. Do consider getting it if you like editing photos (primarily layering). It will definitely become useful to you. Thank you to this app’s creators, I am very appreciative....

Been using this gem for years. I found this app a few years back when it was featured on my Starbucks app as their "app of the week", and to be honest it's one of my all time favorites. This is great for moms, because my wild son hardly sits still for a photo, and with this I can take his face from the one photo he's actually smiling in, and put it on the photo that is best of everyone else.

Union is simple and amazing.. I’ve been using Union now for a couple years. The interface takes only a few minutes to learn but once you get the idea it makes it nearly effortless to create completely custom images by combining to different images together. Definitely a must have for anyone who likes to create digital visual art.

Keeps Loosing Projects!!. Promising app but lost one saved project and then failed to save a second. Also, if you want to combine more than 2 images, you must flatten the the first 2, then add another, flatten that, and keep going. This means you can’t change the parts that are already flatten. Furthermore, some of the export options (to Apps and to Instagram) stopped working after the first successful try, and the app also froze. Shame, cause I love the interface, which is easy on the eyes, intuitive and easy, and powerful. Tested on iPad 2017 with iOS 11.1.2

Great App but....... I use this app constantly for blending, inserting, erasing, etc. photos together. My frustration with it is locating photos from my “All Photos” file as it puts them out of sequence from the order they are in in that file. Because I do multiple editing of the same photo it becomes impossible to locate a specific photo unless it is one that has recently been edited. If it wasn’t for that issue I would give this powerful app 5 stars.

Not bad when I purchased. Some screwed (me), some not. Whyzzat‽ It's sad how greedy some developers are when they claim they charge a nominal subscription of $3.99/week = >$200/year and only give the option of annual pricing (how's $150 sound?) when every review is an immediate dismissal of the app because of the price. ----- Looking back, I bought this when it was reasonable. I used it, decided to keep it around even if offloaded and even though I wasn't doing double exposures. January 2020: I thought I might revert to the situation I had when I purchased this, although I haven't scrambled through notes for details, but no. I'm presented with the worst model of all- sure, use the app but don't you dare think you can save! Grab more and more and more … (I can't tell when I originally bought this but I guess there's no grandfathering in for me. I wonder why that is?)

Used to be good. I used this app years ago and it was the best editing app for a good price too! Hours of editing and all high quality, overall amazing tool. I stopped editing for a few years and now that I come back needing a quick mobile tool I thought I’d reinstall the app that helped me so much. Now I come to see you need to pay a membership and see if you get all the tools. A tool of this calibre is good but it’s not 50 a year worth it. Might as well get some free all that’ll have a little less quality but at least it’s not another membership 🤷🏻‍♂️

Love. This. App.. I’ve been using Union for years and am remiss in writing this review. I have created some of my most random and memorable “art” using this app which have resulted in belly aching laughter, tears of joy and sheer “What the” moments for over 5 years. my one and only. before AI background removal existed, this app was the GOAT.. now AI can do anything, but this is my goto app still, with such a simple workflow that can help you produce your idea in a matter of minutes make an app so great that even if you don't update it for 2 years, it can still receive praises like yesterday

🙁 Update takes away function! 👎. I can no longer get to my existing projects unless I pay $60/year. I had already paid for this function before they implemented their costly subscription (restore purchases won’t restore it). I have no intention of paying a second time because I cannot think of a reason why they won’t do the same behavior after you pay $xx for a subscription. Besides, what major new function have they delivered that would justify $60/year? My previous review no longer applies. — Previous Review — I use this app a lot and love it, but there are all lot of things I do to photos that I can't do here and must use other apps for. A few examples: - Add text - Add arrows, boxes, and highlights. - Pixelate/blur small areas of an image - Make a simple gifs (I tend to make frames with Union) There are so many of these kinds of things that I find myself almost always using other apps both before and after using Union. I would rather pay for expansions of Union :)

Blending made easy. This is one of the easiest blending apps around it's simple easy to use with great results. It eliminates the hassles it's easy to use without being an artist. It walks you through each step. Easy to correct any mistakes with great results. Blending two pictures into one made simple. I've used other apps this is simple fast with professional results.

“UNION” is a Mal-scribeware” app. A poor value app. “UNION” App sounded like a good idea but before I could even export my first masterpiece the consumer unfriendly app required a “subscription” based on Apple’s “Mal-scribeware” scheme which for the consumer/user is no good because you pay whether you use it or not, but for the developer it’s fantastic because the money rolls in even when the app is not being used, and takes advantage of older people with poorer memories or disabled people with even mild disabilities such as dementia who forget to unsubscribe allowing the developer to take advantage of the weaknesses of the human mind by allowing without termination the subscription to continue weekly, monthly or yearly only terminating automatically when the credit card is maxed out to the credit limit and no further “purchases” allowed by the credit card issuer. Other than the above scheme, I couldnt find any other way to “purchase” the App/software outright (which if it did wouldn’t be a purchase anyway but more like a “license”.) I couldn’t think of a more malicious price fixing scheme aimed to take the money from consumers in exchange for nothing. The future of artificial intelligence designed to take your money away from you is already here.

A little tricky to use at first. BUT! once you play with it and master it. You can literally make a photo combo that of you take the time and tweek it just right ( fading one image into the other, color saturation, brightness matching and erase mode to kill the edge and unwanted extra its gonna take some serious dissecting to be able to tell if its be altered and I dissect all the time so I'm short.... best app I've found yet!

Incredible. Must Buy.. Literally I had spent an hour trying to find a way to integrate one photo on my iPad into another. I finally saw this review online and thought for $1.99 it would be worth it just to figure out a way to get this one simple humorous photo done. I had a very usable product finished in less than 60 seconds! I was stunned at how easy it was. The process is simple and obvious to follow, with Foreground and Background menu selections right up front. I quickly found menu selections to further edit. After laying the Foreground onto the Background, you can easily and precisely size it to the proportion and size you want relative to the background. Further you can use two fingers to then spread (“magnify”) the images keeping the same perspective you just sized, and more precisely “erase” around the edges of the foreground if you want,which reveals the background original image behind it. There are other useful tools that are equally easy and intuitive to use, and then you can “flatten” the edited layers into one image. It can then be exported by message, email, and to the web. This is one of the best Apps I’ve ever used and an incredibly efficient time saver that also results in a quality finished product. I don’t know which is more remarkable, its ease of use and tools, or the price of $1.99!

What a rip off! Yet another app joining the subscription bandwagon!. Seriously people with 100’s of apps now pay walling behind subs we are all losing out on the chance for discovering new and exciting possibilities. Don’t you see developers if you make me sub up instead of buy to own. I own nothing and am forced to pay forever. So when can I get another app I like without paying them forever. Make me choose and in the end it is Adobe and never you. Look at magazines or streaming apps they all keep folding or offering lower prices. Let me buy the newest add-on for your app (but you better be creative or I won’t buy it.) That said if I love your app and support you I’ll even buy your junk in hopes that your next release is brilliant! Buy to own folks it supports everybody’s business.

Probably the single best app on my phone. I’ve used Union on my iOS devices for so many years I no longer remember being without it. There are other compositing tools out there, but nothing comes close to Union’s mask precision for me. The only things I’d like to have are support for more than two layers, and some additional color-blending and effects tools like blur mode (things that I still export to other apps). For those I’d gladly have a paid premium subscription—I’ve gotten so much mileage out of my original purchase I kinda feel guilty!

Sudden glitch is wrecking it. There’s no other app that can do what this app does (and believe me, I’ve looked). The “old faithful” of apps—consistent, reliable, and a mainstay in my art projects for many years. And when they went to a subscription model, they did it the right way, grandfathering in those of us who had already paid full price many years ago. I didn’t lose functionality of a single feature, so much so that I wasn’t even aware they’d added a subscription model until I went to the AppStore to leave a review! This developer deserves a ton of credit.

What changed ?. I was a casual user of app.... Liked it ... Today an iPad update failed , tried many times ..... Deleted app and reloaded. Now I can't past a option selection page to Union Pro.... On line reviews say basic cost 1.99, app store says it's free !? Are my now forced to go through a Union Pro option ? I just want what I had before ... The basics ? Update ; Had a discussion with developers......appears they had business policy change with respect to Union app offering ( free vs $ ) . They were easy to talk to and professional. They offered me a free years use of app for my troubles.

The BEST FREE EDITING APP!!. Honestly I love this app because you don’t realize how close it is to a beginner/friendly type of Photoshop. Definitely suggest mixing around with the tools but you can upload your own photos and mask another really well! Example: two pictures that are almost the exact same but one person’s eyes were closed, you can mask over one another so it works! Or add templates that you save from the internet and add them to an picture or an invitation to customize.

Best photo editing app ever!!!!. This is the closest I have found to Photoshop on an app. If you know photoshop, there's only a slight learning curve, otherwise it might be a little more difficult to use at first. I haven't checked out the tutorials, but I'm sure they're helpful. This app works great on my iPhone 7. It doesn't close out, forcing me to start all over again and again like a lot of other apps I've tried. I love it, and I've recommended it to my friends.

Cool App. Really like this app and how simple yet powerful it is. Really gives you a lot of control over combining pics. The only negative from my perspective is that it has locked up twice when I’ve been using it and both times afterwards it wouldn’t let me open any existing projects, so both times I had to remove and reinstall it. Not too big of a deal since I had saved off my projects to the camera roll anyway, but could potentially be very irritating if I’d needed to re-edit any of them.

AMAZING!. Perfect app for editors like myself. You can do almost everything an editor looks for. I am very impressed. All the features have blown me away. Also, the fact that there are links to video tutorials within the app makes it great if you are unsure about how to do something. Doesn't work. It is incapable of selecting a fairly well delineated foreground with any usability, the selected region isn't adjustable at all, so instead you have to laboriously draw around the image to isolate it, but again can't go back and retouch the selection - only begin over. Rubbish - don't waste your money.

Easy and effective. This app has a slick interface and it doesn't try to do too much, which makes it easy to use. I have liked all of this developer's apps that I have tried. There are so many similar apps out there but these ones are a cut above the rest.

Ms. Works well for adding a signature to images

Few years ago was good.. I came back to the app, only to find its now a subscription based app. After buying it awhile back. Now a new account and have to pay for a sub based app. Nah cuz, yeh it a good app. Not worth paying for every month, nor year. One time pay of 5 dollars is way more than enough if you want money for what the app is worth.. Following the trend of subbing is a ripoff for what i could attain easily on a laptop program, photoshop. Im here for the convenience of it on ipad. What happened to these app developers. Ill be looking for another app thanks. The app is good again I’ll clarify, not worth subbing for. You actually lost a user. I used to promote this app when people asked how i do my images. Your loss bros.

Transparency option is invaluable. I'm a graphic designer and as far as image manipulation tool on the iPhone go, this one is very versatile and easy to use. If you are not used to working with layers it may take a little getting used to the tools/features, but it is worth persisting. (I would love to see a version with more then 3 layer option.)

Less than ideal. Look, great photo editing app but it’s not worth a subscription. For example, you just finished editing and its taken you ages, until you try to save the photo and you have to pay? This is ridiculous, they have tried to force a subscription on us before and it didnt work out.

LOVE this app!. Am having a lot of fun with this app! So easy to use! It's quite flexible, allowing you to adjust your images to some degree. One thing that would really enhance it would be to alter the horizontal and vertical perspective of foregrounds so that they better match the background. If it had that, I'd give it 5 stars!

Good but. Good editing app but not worth a subscription. If you dont pay for the subscription you cannot save anything to your camera roll, nor use the flatten feature. Plus you cant save or start a new project, so in reality its not worth downloading

Does what it says, its okay workflow on the go.. From just a little play this is good. Does what it says and offers a very easy interface with a range of well thought out tools for you to get the job done. Nice work.

Now subscription-based?!. I paid for this app YEARS ago, and now they have introduced a subscription method, going down the same greedy hole facetune and enlight have. To pay for an app and then not be able to use it is a JOKE, and they clearly don’t care about their existing users at ALL. Ridiculous.

Amazing endless possibilities.. I continue to find new ways to create and get layer blends that I would always previously admired that type of werk from other artists. My only beef w/ this app is that you cannot feather the fremaining image after using magic wand on yr images to create the mask you desire. However, even though the mask can have sharp edges you can use a slider to remove the amount of (mask) you selected.

Terrible. I’ve seen people do great stuff with this app but it’s impossible to learn in free mode and payed mode is too costly to decide of it’s worth it or not.

Terrible.. Ive been using this app for quite some time now and all of a sudden today it’s telling me to pay for it. I already paid for it in the App Store now it’s telling me to get a premium mode. Some one please fix this.

Awesome, such a great app. I use this app to do the graphics for every track I upload to Soundcloud, for Twitter picture, Facebook profiles. Simple to use, well executed and just works. Brilliant

Totally Worth It!. This app combines computer and more experienced photo editing with normal & simple ways of photo editing on your phone. It is extremely easy to use and I would definitely recommend it. You can put different pictures cropped out and edit yourself into any back drop. For a $1.29 I would definitely say I would buy it again☺️

Loving it. I don't frequently combine pics but when I do no other app can compare (and I went through about 4 free ones before my inner scrooge caved in) this one does everything you need and more.

Utility for years to come. Been using this app for years, probably 2017 or earlier. Has been perfect so far apart from random crashes or random save file deletions. Other than that it has held up well, enabling me to use photoshop like tools wherever I go on my phone and has always been a pleasure to use. Masking has never been easier. Thanks guys, I don’t usually write reviews but this app deserves the most.

Free to download, pay to save. It works to superimpose images but can’t even save or export a single project without it prompting to buy a subscription, what’s the point? Usually you get a single free spot and rest paid but not here.

Great fun with this. You can have great fun with your photos with this simple app, easy and intuitive to use. Good stuff

Easy to use, intuitive. Very easy application to get your head around. Would welcome edge detection if this was an option for easier separation of objects in mask. Like pick one point on an edge and pick the next point. The edge is detected and a line is created between the points following that edge in the foreground....followed by another point and edge and so on until a polygon is made to connect them.

Love it!. So easy to use. One of my favourite photo editing aps on my iPad Air.

Simple, easy to use but bait and switch. Says it’s a free app with in-app purchases but you cannot save your work without a purchase and are only informed after you put in the effort.

Great. Easy to use..simple instructions…love it.

Doesn’t work. This is a really poorly made app. It froze on me thrice after opening and I had to kill it and open again. Only then did it request permission to access my photos and started working. The UI looks cheap and shoddily put together. The app doesn’t work at all. I couldn’t remove a spot from the background of a photo. Had to uninstall instantly. Do not recommend it.

Decent. It works for what it sais, but you only get to use it once before you half to pay. Also can’t delete your project or save it without paying

Love this app!. It took me awhile to figure out how to create some awesome effects just by playing around with some basic photos. I can now make photos more interesting and send them to family and friends -- they love it! Only wish it would retain the colour settings when I want to slightly change the colour so that I don’t have to lose what I already have.

Subscription is required. Put hours into editing some stuff for fun, just as I wanted to save my progress it pointed out that a subscription is required. I would give it less than a star if it were possible. Scummy marketing.

Can’t Save til you Pay $$$. Was happy to use the app but now it’s gone subscription only and now you have to pay just to save! Ie, the free version is 100% useless. Very disappointed. Also, the subscription is way too expensive... I’d rather just buy the app and have it.

I got this app many years ago when it first came out, and it’s a great app. I can send my images to some other art apps from it, but for some reason I cannot send the images I cut out in Union to Zinnia, which is made by the same company. Please fix that.

Exceptional. I think the title to my review says it all. The features are wonderful, the effects one can obtain and create are truly amazing (I love playing with the "Difference" setting); especially valuable to me is the "Snap" feature, adds an element missing in so many photo editors "double exposure" effect. Scam. Once you try and save what you worked on, it requires you to subscribe in order to save. Took a screenshot of my work and deleted the app. Would have liked to know you had to subscribe to save before I worked so hard on my first image so I could delete it before using it. Not even a great photo editor.

Really Good. I really enjoy this app and I use it a lot for photoshop and making memes or just editing a picture. If you just want simple editing tool, this app works great. I do wish projects can have more than just two layers tho. A colour shift tool would be awesome as well.

Versatile & Easy to Use. I love this app! I use it all the time to merge my digital art with my original photos or hand-drawn art. It has all the blend modes and allows you to control how the blends are done with an intuitive user interface.

Great product but too pricy. I really thought I’d stumbled on a gem as a graphic designer, but I take that back when I can’t even save to my camera roll what I’ve done without paying $5.99/month. I’d rather do the work on my laptop. Just wish I could edit things on my phone without being charged and arm and a leg. If I like an app, I might pay for additional things, but to not let me save the project to the camera roll is just dumb.

Amazing App. This app makes it super easy to combine 2 photos and mask out the parts you don't want. I have downloaded and used several similar apps but this is the easiest by far. I highly recommend this app. I use it all the time. So worth the price.

Free part looks good so far. Not sure if I’m ready to take the plunge and go yearly, but what I have tried so far looks pretty darn good. I’m willing to pony up the cash for a good app I use a lot, but I’m a bit more hesitant if I only use it periodically. There could still be some hidden uses I haven’t discovered yet-there are a lot of options and all I have used so far worked flawlessly.

My photo logo doesn’t work anymore with your App. My photo logo doesn’t work anymore with your app, I loved this App, I was able to edit my photos and place my photo logo on my photos from my phone. But once you guys updated the app, it wouldn’t work anymore. Please fix the issues. So I can get back to using this app again.

Wonderful!. I'm very new to Union but love it already. I don't even know how to use all the tools yet and still love it! Is there a way to cut out the background of the second picture I put on the background image? I haven't found the instructions on that yet, if it's possible? Thank you for any help!

Love this app. This is one of my oldest apps and it’s one of my favorites. I make so many things using this overlay app and the interface is very easy to use. Please always do updates, I’m so scared of updating and losing apps I love. Thanks for a great piece of editing software.

1 of 3 I can’t do without. I do graphic art and design. I use only 3 apps. This is one of them. Yes, it’s great for adding text and signatures to artwork, but it’s also a must have for merging pieces together and placement of that merged piece. I don’t know how o ever managed without it! I love this app!

Works great!. I love the simplicity of this app. It makes combining photos or removing backgrounds so easy. I've been using it a couple of years on my iPad and am happy to see a recent update. So many of my favorites have disappeared over the years.

I don’t think it’s worth it.. A few years ago I would have recommended this app to anyone interested in photo editing, but I would not do the same now. It’s been put behind a paywall of a $5.99/month subscription, which I do not find at all reasonable for an app that has a literal single function. It does that function very well, but not well enough for me to consider paying monthly for it. I’d suggest looking elsewhere. There are cheaper apps that let you do much more.

Works beautifully if you take the time. This app combines all the elements of several other apps and makes it easy if you take your time. I use it on my phone and Ben Moreno my iPad using my pen. The only bad thing I could say is if you lack patience.... you won’t like it.

The fastest and best. This is simply just the best super fast way to put two images together if you don’t need anything fancy. I’ve been using it for about six years now and it is still my go-to app for quick simple edits

Outstanding- Works Flawlessly. Easy to use. I would love to purchase this if it were a one time purchase. Even in it were like $20. Paying monthly however is just ridiculous.

Does exactly what it needs to do. It has a kind of niche role among photo editor apps, but does an excellent job. Don’t expect things like fun filters, but it does give you outstanding control when merging pictures, removing backgrounds, overlaying items, etc.

Pretty cool but.... This app is great for watermarking on the go but I have a complaint. After watermarking one photo, once you go to mark another, the app automatically puts the mark in the exact same position as the previous photo. THAT’S ANNOYING!!! I don’t mark all of my photos in the exact same spot. We should have the option to automatically add marks in the same place like a bulk option or in different places. And while you’re at it, can we get the ability to add more than one photo at a time?

Still the best. It’s always worked incredibly well for layering photos and it’s at an extremely fair price and hasn’t moved to a subscription model so it absolutely deserves your support.

Love it. My go-to photo manipulation app when I’m not home on a computer with photoshop. One thing I would love to see added is a zoom tool when editing the foreground. Sometimes you want your foreground element really small and zooming would be perfect for being precise with that.

Subscription after purchased. I have had Union for years and paid for it. Now that I have updated the app, they want to charge me a subscription fee to use it after I have already paid. This is ridiculous. I should not have to pay for this app again and be charged monthly to use it. In no way should a developer sell someone something for a one time purchase and then a year or so later decide that that wasn't enough and they want to make me pay a subscription to keep using this app.

Subscription???. I’ve been using this app for years and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I have no criticism as far as its functionality: it’s simple, well-designed, and gets the job done. However, I’m confused as to why they decided to suddenly change the app to a subscription. Without the subscription, the app is basically unusable. I couldn’t care less if they put in ads or whatever, but the subscription just isn't worth it. I mean, $2 a week? You can do better, pixite.

Great find!. Randomly stumbled upon this app when looking for something to use to layer an existing logo on an image. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a solidly designed application! The interface is simple and intuitive, and the user experience is totally smooth and glitch free. I'll definitely be using regularly- Thank you!

Great app! Needs foreground crop. This is a great app with great editing options and the combination options are amazing. All that’s missing is an option to crop the photos you add to foreground. Background gives you an option to when loading in but I can’t find one for foreground.

Architecture Photo Support. The app is intuitive, even for a very light photoshop user. I'd like to see a tutorial that specifically shows how to blend a background and foreground for a room interior. For example, if I take a picture of the inside of a room ... I'd like to blend the correct exposure for the interior with the correct exposure for the view outside the door or the window. Thanks

Best photo merging App. I've used this app for a couple years now and I keep buying and trying others but none compare to the quality and ease of Union. Takes some practice but once you figure it out you can cut out an image from one photo and then layer it into another in a matter of minutes.

Next Level Editing. Union took my editing skills up about 10 notches. I had been searching for the right layering/blending app, and the ones I tried were too limited or too complicated. Union's interface is clear and easy to use and I can't do without it now. Essential.

Must have. This is the quickest, best UI app for simple photo editing. My only suggestion is that they should add a color picker using a color selected from another image for the Background option. I just really want a color picker because no color picker app alone can export.

Great Little layering app. Surprisingly there are no really good layering apps on the iPhone, except this one. It's fantastic. I would love to be able to save my layers individually and paste them multiple at a time into one photo and through a roundabout way you can do that with this app. Totally worth the few bucks to purchase. Fantastic job!

Gets used a lot. I like to set a photo as the background and add another image on top, then quickly resize and erase parts of that image to blend it seamlessly into the background. Been using this for several years.

Was great, time to improve.. Super app, but it's been over a year without an update to better it. Can we see a curve or tilt option? Maybe an option to change size that is better than the "stretch" option that is unreliable and changes sizes once you let go.

$60 a YEAR?. I bought this adopt and recommended it to everyone I know. Now you want $60 a *year* to use an app that was previously $2 to own? What on earth could you have possibly added that makes it worth the price you want to chefs for a subscription?? I would have paid money to permanently unlock a pro version, but your subscription rates are wildly unreasonable. I'm just using this to have fun with a few pictures a year. Guess I'll be deleting your app now.

It’s so simple and amazing!. I love this app. It’s really simple to just combine two images. I wish there’d been a quick tutorial at the beginning but once I got the hang of it my pictures have come out amazing. I use it to superimpose my dog into hilarious scenarios

awesome. don’t really feel like paying $52 a month for adobe suite on my PC to get photoshop lol this app works great. i’ve been using it for a few years now tbh and i love how it saves my projects as well. there’s all kinds of cool artistic effects you can use to merge photos which i find very interesting and fun. all in all great app

Was great until it was subscription based. This app used to be amazing, easy to use, and VERY convenient. The price was great and perfect for what it had to offer. Now it is subscription based and you have to pay monthly and it is no longer worth it in the SLIGHTEST. You are NOT a mobile photoshop and you will never be. It’s not worth 9 dollars a month, MAYBE it’s worth $5 one time- but $9 FOREVER?? I paid $2 for this app when it first was on the Apple store, I deserve to at least have it free now for life. I wasted my money now and this app is no longer useful to me.

The subscription ruined this app. This app used to cost less (as a one time payment) than what it now costs to use for a month now. I used to use this as a pocket alternative to photoshop when my PC was not readily available, and I would have strongly recommended it for the one time payment (for what it was). The features it offers are rather limited. It only allows for a background, foreground, and a simple masking layer. THIS BEING AFTER YOU PAY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION. Save your money.

Why??. I get that this app needs money to keep itself running, but to the extent where the app is virtually unusable? No. You cannot save images unless you pay, you cannot flatten images unless you pay, you cannot even SHARE THEM unless you pay. The other blending modes are fine for payment, but come on! You can't force people to pay to use a free app. I used to use this app all the time, now I cannot. In fact, I loved it, now it is downright dreadful.

Image blending for mere mortals. Have to pictures that you want to combine? This app is for you. It's great for when you have two pictures, each with one subject smiling, the other blinking, that would make one great image when put together.

Brilliant. I NEVER review apps but this one lets me do everything i want to do and more. Other apps do filters. Nothing special. This one lets you combine images like double exposures, creative masking, even image reformatting. I'm still finding new ways to use it. Get it!

Great App. I’ve used this app for quite a while now and I like it a lot. It works great and is simple to use. LoL believe me if I can use it it has to be easy. I’ve been using this app for 5 years now. I highly recommend this for those who can’t afford the more expensive software. This app has helped me produce some pretty cool affects on photos and in my sculptures as well. Yes! I use it in in my sculptures too!

Solid image editor, but requires subscription. I got this app in 2015 and have used it for minor on-the-go photo editing for years. The design is fairly intuitive but it lacks more advanced features. However, when I bought it it was a one-time purchase instead of a subscription system. I can't say it's worth $3.99/month when I could just pull out my laptop instead.

Waste of time. This app promotes itself as a ‘free erase app’ but after I had already spent hours trying to erase the background of one photo, it doesn’t let me save it to my camera roll all because I have to buy a membership just to do what the app had advertised!! I have no problem with charging for services, BUT what I do have a problem with is that this app has the audacity to waste my time and tell me I have to purchase to use a feature that was the KEY part of the advertisement, AFTER I had already downloaded it and wasted my time.

new feature suggestion?. 5 stars if we can add multiple pictures as foreground. i believe the app Superimpose already has that feature. making an edit, having to save it, importing the photo again to add another image is time consuming and can ruin the quality of the image if done too much

I love it to to text images smaller. I like this program, because I like to send images that are no larger than they need to be, so that text and replies, and so forth don't get scrolled up out of sight easy peasy

So much fun!. This app is awesome! I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve made my own movie posters or merged video game characters together in an entertaining way. And it’s self explanatory. The simplicity of its use is amazing! Can’t praise this app enough!

Very good app. Useful and easy to understand when editing pictures. However it is subscription based, I wish it is one time purchase.
