Love this app!. While I am sitting in the waiting room for my husband surgery. This application is perfect so I’m not just sitting around wondering how his surgery so far or how his feeling or if it’s going ok... lots of thoughts and the application ease my wondering mind. Really appreciate this. Thank you so much.

Great having EASE.. I received periodic updates throughout and was easy to keep everyone else updated as well. This is a great app. So much easier than texting everyone separately

Wonderful App. Ease put my mind at ease. The updates during surgery were reassuring especially for family that was out of state. This app is a wonderful feature and so happy that the hospital offers it. The nurses are excellent keeping everyone informed.

Every hospital should have this!. This app is so amazing! Loved that it kept me informed, and also was able to update family for me. It made me feel a lot less anxious during my daughters surgery. Loved that they could send me pictures from the PACU during her recovery stages. My family from out of state was super impressed with it as well!

Peace of mind. It’s the best thing ever. A continuous update so I don’t have to worry what’s going on because I didn’t hear from the hospital in hours and thinking of the worst things possible. Keeps your mind at ease.

DO NOT DELETE then try to reload it.. A friend of mine is in the hospital and sent me a link to EASE. I downloaded it first thing in the morning and kept waiting for update following her surgery that morning. I received no alerts or updates. I thought perhaps I had not selected the right options, although I don’t remember being offered any when I first signed in. So, I thought if I delete the app and reinstall it I could check for any options on how to receive messages. BIG mistake! When I tried to log in the second time I downloaded it, it told me that name and password were already in use and would not let me use the app. It was then that I looked at the help menu and saw, in small print, that you should not delete it. The “do not delete“ warning should be in large print in the very beginning of the set up, not in the help menu which people do not always look at. Also, every other app I’ve had has allowed me to log in again after I delete and reinstall it. If you use the same login phone number and password it doesn’t make sense that you wouldn’t be able to get back in. I consider that a design flaw.

Works great. Really helps when a family member is getting surgery. Feedback for developers: it would be really great if, after receiving an update, you could type in any questions you have and send them back

EASE. This app was the best tool to keep us updated and feeling confidant while our 2 year old great grandchild had heart open heart surgery. I can express how much it meant to get the pictures I was able to screen shot and send to family members to update them Thank you. Thank you. Thank you❤️❤️❤️

Great app. This app was a great stress reliever by keeping us up to date on on the patient. An improvement would be to allow you to log into the system from multiple devices. We use a tablet when at home, and phone when mobile. You would be able to only log into one device at a time, just not be tied to only one device. Your phone number is the security and prevents “sharing”.

Every hospital should have this!!!. I never thought I could leave the waiting room during my father’s surgery. We actually went to the cafeteria. This provided such comfort and relief for my entire family. Including my 2 aunts that couldn’t make it to the hospital. Amazing !

Surgery. The absolute best app! I’m usually on the other end sending the messages to parents. But today I was the one receiving them. I felt so much better with each update!

EASE. Hospital communication has sure come a long way. I loved the app with the exception of it not being current at the end of the procedure. The messages were delivered in an incorrect order. I had one that said the doctor would see me soon, then go to the conference room, then shortly after that was all completed, was told surgery would be ending soon, and that the doctor was waiting. At this point I had already spoken to the doctor. However, during early stages of procedure, was accurate.

A blessing. This was such a great thing to have to be kept up to date as each process was done during surgery! I the app worked great with no delay! Felt good to be that close to the process of the providers!

Ease app is PHENOMENAL. Being a RN for 16 years I had never even heard of this app. The pre op nurse had me download it. I had updates when my mom was safely asleep and when the procedure started all the way to her progress and finish. It’s the most wonderful innovation in healthcare in my opinion. Thank you to whomever made this possible.

Suggestion. I would like to have the option to go back, and read messages again.

Great App. This app was awesome!!! Worked wonderfully! Everyone in the family was able to have real time updates throughout the surgery, so I didn’t have to worry about a group text. I would highly recommend this app.

Amazing app, but glitches out sometimes. I love this app because it allows us to see pictures and videos of our little peanut but sometimes when I open the app it closes and makes me lose the update :( it works the majority of the time but there has been numerous where I haven’t been able to see them. Thankfully my hubby has it downloaded as well and we saw it that way.

Helpful and reassuring app!. I’m a physician assistant and I didn’t know this app existed. My mother in law had heart surgery across the country and the OR team used this app to give updates throughout her operation. My uncle had bypass surgery 3 years ago and I was worried the whole time. This way, I knew when she was taken on and off bypass and as soon as she was done as well as other updates. What an amazing way to keep worried family members informed!

Real Time Information. EASE is a truly wonderful program. Getting information on your loved one as it happens is the best thing that happened in a surgical setting. I appreciate knowing what was going on instead of wondering and worrying about it. It made me feel like I was with my Mother the whole time.

View previous updates. I’m very happy with this app. To have the option of seeing previous text updates would be a nice feature. Thanks

A Godsend. I was able to stay informed while my daughter was in surgery. I could easily share her information with the contacts I chose both near and far. This is an amazing app and I was actually able to meet one of the developers of the app. He is an anesthesiologist. 💖🙏

App use. Love it, only draw back is you must have the app staring at you in order to receive notifications that you have a new message.

Terrible information. The messages come out in random order. At one point, the message said, the procedure is going fine. Very next message was that the doctor is coming out to speak to us. I swear my heart sank! I thought my father didn’t make it. 3 minutes later, the next message was that the procedure was successful and the patient is fine. My heart isn’t though. Next few messages had him going back into pre-op...after he was in recovery!! Again, my heart sank. Don’t rely on this app to inform you on the care of process of your loved ones. It’ll give YOU a coronary!!

Experience. This was one of the most effective and efficient ways to communicate with anyone who has a patient on the hospital It allows you to know step by step how the patient is doing. It’s reassuring to know and what a great way to keep informed

This app is essential in the continuous communication from the healthcare provider to family members who are undergoing a procedure. This app brought comfort to my family especially as they could not be at the hospital during surgery. All hospitals should offer this app in offering comfort to patient and family. Thank you!

Jim lyons surgery. This was a great tool to help keep family that are out of state abreast of his procedures. It takes the pressure off of us. We’re already stressed enough. It was very helpful for them, too. Everyone I listed loved knowing what was going on without texting me his wife.

Good Communication. The app does what it’s supposed to do. It’s great to get near real time communications with the surgical staff and nurses. I never got any notifications when messages came in. I double-checked several times that they were enabled. I did get the little red badge on the app icon, but no banner or audible notification.

EASE the informative tool. This is a excellent tool that keeps family members informed during the whole process. It’s hard enough to wait without knowing. Though EASE they kept me inform on a hourly bases and it kept me calm. That is caring for the patient and their love one. Thank you so much.

Absolutely Useless. I’m still getting patient updates even though my loved one’s surgery was completed 24 hours ago. Brought it to the attention of my hospital’s administration.

Wonderful app!. Our world was under going major surgery and we were all very anxious. This app was a god sent in providing real time updates. Gone are the days of waiting around for updates. With each profess while in surgery we were informed. Once the doctor finished we received notice he was on his way to chat. We received a final update when in recovery. This app allowed us to move around the hospital and keep our nerves at bay. Thank you so much to the developers. Wish this service was extended to ICU.

Amazing Application. EASE allowed our family to receive updates during a family member’s major medical procedure. Amazing app that reduces a lot of stress and wondering. We even had the opportunity to meet the doctor behind the app. Brilliant use of technology.

Great for families during surgery. For families going through surgery this app is incredible. Got updates throughout the 5 hour surgery letting me know exactly what was going on and how the surgery was going. It really helped to ease any anxiety about the situation and I’d recommend any and all hospitals utilitize this app.

Sx. I have had many sx. And I must say this was the best pain and anesthesia medication I have ever had. I have only one suggestion. As a retired RN, time is of the essence. I filled out my pre-op registration on line days in advance. But when I checked in, only some of it was there. Then the info did not transfer to the surgery floor. This could also be an compliance issue for staff. Easy fix for IT I bet. Please commend your staff. Ty

Recommend. It helps with the communication between the medical staff and the parents. It was to get photos and updates from my child while they were in NICU

Incredible!!! Loved it. This was so helpful throughout my husband’s surgery. We received updates about every 45 minutes. We didn’t feel stuck in the waiting room and even walked around outside. Every hospital needs this!

Doesn’t work. My wife had surgery and we were told by the hospital to download the app and that it was the greatest. The day of the surgery she was admitted and the app never worked, it was showing my wife as admitted. The nurse sent an email to the app support and my wife went into surgery, the app never worked and the app support never got back to her. We had to monitor the surgery the old fashion way via asking the nurse to call. Waste of time downloading this app, I had such high expectations and it was a huge disappointment.

Excellent App. If you have the opportunity to use this app with a child undergoing surgery, do it! It is so nice to be able to get updates of photos, texts, and videos during the procedure. It helped make a very stressful day far less stressful for our family.

App. Give it 5+ stars they really keep you updated when they had me down load it I thought yea rite but was I mistaken I got updates every 15-20 minutes loved this

You’ll never want to have surgery without it!. EASE makes the waiting period significantly less painful. I was so thankful to have it during my family member’s surgery and felt I wasn’t tethered to the waiting room for the entire long procedure. I definitely recommend the experience and seeking out a hospital that has it or asking your hospital to get it.

Every hospital should have this!!. What a difference maker, the waiting process was transformed for me and my family. We received regular updates with pictures a couple of times an hour that put us at ease and kept us informed. Five stars are not enough!

Fantastic app. This app was extremely helpful at reducing my stress while my spouse was in surgery. The surgical team texted me progress reports almost every 30 minutes. I was eternally grateful for their efforts to keep me informed!

Very reassuring. Fantastic app/program to help new parents to not worry so much about the well fare of their new baby. Having to try to juggle work and actual spending time with my baby was getting to be a little nerve wracking. Luckily the NICU nurses at HRMC understood and sent pictures and update almost every feeding. Which allowed me to focus on trying to make a living for my little human.

The App is Good But Could Be More. Today is the launch day for the app with Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. There have been lots of staff around to provide tech support. I found the app easy to setup and invite family to track the my surgery. The part of the app I do not like is that messages can be viewed for only 60 seconds. It would be nice to be able to see the messages for the length of the surgery or maybe the length of the surgery plus 24 hours. It would be nice to have the previous messages to reference the timing of the surgery. Once a message is gone if you forgot to note a time then you are out of luck. This should not violate any HIIPA standards as the patient invited those who are getting the messages. All in all the is a useful app.

Amazing app. We’ve used Ease at Arnold Palmer Hospital several times for our son Harrison’s heart surgeries, heart caths, and one stomach surgery. No notifications. I received notifications while my husband was in surgery but did not receive anything while he was in recovery. Nothing for 3 hours. It was scary. I did my part by uploading g the app and having it activated. U did not go you part. This was unacceptable.
