Update app? Malfunction.... I like this app and it’s mostly good. But every time I open the app, it tells me I need update the app to the current version. The only option is to click the button to take me to the App Store. So I click the button and go to the App Store to find that the app is indeed up to date. Then I open the app from the App Store and it works. This happens every time I use the app. For the last several months. I’m going to try deleting and re-downloading the app next.

love this app but one slight issue for iphone X users. This is by far my favorite app for mixtapes and i really like that fact that the adds are minimal. the only issue i have has to do with my iphone not having the home button and in place has the swipe up bar. while playing a song and having the tape open, i will go to close the app and sometimes it will change the song to whatever is closest to the swipe bar. if there is any possible way to fix this it would be hugely appreciated as im sure it happens to other iphone X and above users.

Pretty impressive. This app has all the albums and mixtapes it has on the website. Plays music when you exit the app AAANNNDD it allows you to change songs too! It’s got ads BUT what you expect for a FREE app... tf?!? They gotta get bank somewhere... you can also download the songs and albums too!! Smooth operating interface too. I like it. I would improve the search song feature to give it more freedom and pick up on close generalizations from key words. It seems sometimes that you have to be pretty exact to find what you want. Other than that.... FREAKIN awesome!

Fix playlist option. Love the app but I need to be able to make playlists. Every time I try I just get an error message. I can’t even favorite songs either. I love the app- I don’t mind it being a little buggy every now and then if I can listen to all of the mixtapes for free, but I’d really like there to be a working playlist option

Greatness. I’m so stupid I can’t believe I’ve known about this app for many years and never downloaded and or used it till about a few days ago I am completely amazed of the amount of content and great music that would normally go forgotten because it was on a mixtape I’m diving into all this great hip-hop and rap music that’s bringing me back to late 90s early 2000’s and literally giving me the vivid images in my head of what I was doing at the time 🔥🔥

App crashes. This is the first problem I’ve had with datpiff over the years nothing will load up my playlists are gone I deleted the app multiple times still the Same problem can someone help me with this please thank you still a great app for all these years!!

App is great but still needs work. Honestly, I love this app. This is my go-to app for unreleased songs. I have no problem whatsoever with watching an add to download songs offline. I think it’s great. To me, the only thing missing, is a playlist function. I think that adding a playlist function where you can mix around different mixtapes and single songs in one area would be a very smart idea. If this is added, I believe it would make this app a 5/5.

Few issues with the app but well with it for the music. Love the app gives me access to lots of music that you can't just readily play while your phone is off. My issue is with how the app operates. It's hard to sort through your music for just specific songs and to actually shuffle your music in an order you'd like to play it. Also most times when I try to download a project the app closes. These are my critics but the app giving us these mixtapes that can't be on other music streaming apps makes this app well worth the download

You asked a question and then didn’t. Allow a space for me to state my answer.. Why screenshot? Cause: I want to share it with my friends however people and even your friends get desensitized by receiving the communication you are giving them through the same method. So - links to sm, pm, or dm get saturated imo. So pics in your inbox sometimes work. However now-I have to double tap or swipe to get back to what I was doing because you didn’t leave a space in your app for the answer. *

App keeps auto skipping songs. When I play my music on the app and decide to leave it and just surf the web or use another app, it keeps automatically skipping the tracks in que by itself. I don’t know if it’s because I use a vpn when in class or what but it’s a reoccurring issue that needs to be fixed. Despite all that I still like the app and what it offers in unreleased music and mixtapes.

Needs better UI! Not User Friendly. Datpiff has been a part of my life for years, I still listen to songs that I can only find on Datpiff. That said, the app experience lacks. The search function is such a manual process to find a specific mixtape, unable to filter properly. Moreover, I’m not sure if it’s only my Apple product, but trying to use the reset password on the DP app is confusing. I hit “reset password” only to be sent to their website on my web browser which takes me to a page that tells me to download the app….. I ALREADY HAVE THE APP WHY AM I BEING REDIRECTED TO THE DF WEBSITE ONLY TO BE INSTRUCTED TO DL THE APP! This circle makes zero sense. I’m not sure if the product/dev team test/qa these features prior to going live but you all seriously need work.

This is a GREAT music app.. I’ve been using this app for YEARS now, and originally, I got it because I saw someone else using it to listen to Iggy Azalea’s old music. So I got this app from only her music. I don’t favor any of the other rappers on this app, but it’s a good app overall...but now, I have a problem. This app just logged me out and I don’t like that. But regardless, Keep up the good work DP ❤️

Slightly broken app. It’s very good as I’m able to search for and listen to music with no problem. The problem comes from when I try to like a song or mixtape, either the button doesn’t work or I get a error 401 message. Even when I try to make playlists so I can go back to previous music I get an error message and unable to save music. That makes it really hard for me to return back as I don’t want to search for the same songs over and over again.

I can finally use this app and i love it!!. So im blind and use voiceover and have been using datpiffs website for years. That site is great and then came the app. When I first downloaded this app a few years ago it wasnt accessible or usible with voiceover at all. Until recently. And i am enjoying and loving the app. Please keep it this way and accessible. A suggestion. If theres missing songs in the mixtapes. instead of the song name it should say something like. Missing song. I think I ran in to a few missing songs and i didnt know and they wouldn't play. But im enjoying this app. Again. Please keep it accessible.

App freezes/crashes every time I try to go to library. This app is great. I love the selection of free music whether it’s a mixtape or album but I’ve noticed for quite some time now that every time I try to go to my library the app will freeze and then crash. Doesn’t even show me my library. Just freezes where it’s at then crashes. Only major bug that’s stuck around that I can see so far. I have the iPhone SE Gen 2.

Takes a long while to load, and sometimes it just won’t. This apps takes forever to load after you click on a tape or search for one. When you click on one it denies showing the tracks so it’s impossible to play any, and when you search it shows a loading screen for maybe 30 seconds before going back to the popular search screen. I’ll redownload when bugs are fixed

Won’t let me play music. I’ve actually always loved this app, and I’ve been using it for the past 4 years, but recently for a couple months now I haven’t been using it because every time I open the app and try to play a song it won’t play it and it acts like it’s frozen. Please fix this I miss being able to let a whole mixtape play in the car but now I’m lucky if I get one song to play.

Cool. Used to work great, now mixtapes or highlighted music doesn’t play or load at all. Huge library for artists but most of it doesn’t play when loaded up. Recently it will only play one or two tracks then freeze up. Uninstalled and reinstalled still same issues but overall it’s still pretty cool

Make searching through library easier.. Great app but if y'all made it easier to search and categorize through downloaded music would get 5 stars. Provide options like search by artist or better view when scrolling

Close to Great.. Needs 1 Fix. I love this app with pretty much everything EXCEPT when you try to save a song, the entire mixtape is saved to your library. This is no one to find just the songs I want to have saved, just a list of mixtapes I’ve “liked”. Needs to be fixed because no one wants to have to sift through a list when they’re listening to saved music.

Please Fix Bugs. Very buggy for some reason to the point it’s like every time I want to listen to what I want to listen to it skips that song then either plays the song after or the song before but not the actual song attended all before it worked great as of now it’ll play newer songs or songs unrelated as if they’re either promoting only whatever artists or somewhat stopping you from becoming yeah the last line may sound like a stretch but a stretch that far wouldn’t have me take time out of my day to say all of this.. please fix bugs and this is from a very valued fan and follower because regardless of what I need this app and I hope the app feels the same about its users - Thank you

Would be 5, but. Lots of changes have been made to this app for the phone and most have not been for the best. Since updating all my library and mixtapes have disappeared and will not load. You can no longer bookmark or save upcoming, or see what date it is supposedly dropping. Now they have weedmaps on there, and like why??? Makes no sense. Please fix or undo changes because although it has been not entirely user friendly and was doable now it’s just kind of dissatisfying. I use it less and less now because of these issues. This was my absolute favorite platform for music please save it!

Used to be great, now it’s basically useless. Title says it all. I used to love this app, but now it’s barely useable. Read the other reviews, everyone has the same issues - playlists not working correctly (if at all), downloads not working, and now, half the tracks/mixtapes in my library don’t even play at all. Idk if they lost the license to play them or what, but forget trying to play any well-known artists/albums. This app used to be in my top-10 most-used. Now, I haven’t touched it in months.

App needs to be fixed!!!. I’ve used this app many years ago and had no issues.I’m not sure what happened, but the app rarely works. You click a song to play on your playlist and it won’t play most of the time. I’m addition, it often freezes. Closing and returning to the app doesn’t help either. If you are lucky to get a song to play, sometimes it stops playing right after. There’s some serious bugs with it that needs to be fixed.

The New Update 👎🏾. Your new update is horrible literally cannot create a new account every time I try it says error 409 then I tried to access the app through my Facebook account that doesn’t work any more then tried signing in through my Apple account and it won’t let me download the songs I specially selected I can only download the whole album or mixtape please fix ASAP!!! Or at least go back to the original settings all my mixtapes are gone and y’all also need to add where you can make a playlist of the songs you downloaded

Copy features from Apple Music ‼️. This app needs a complete overhaul and some bug changes like being able to click a rapper’s profile to view all of their official mixtapes. Right now if you type in a rapper’s name, you’ll be shown a bunch of fake mixtapes from random people that were posted under the name of the famous rapper. You should also be able to delete songs that you don’t like from mixtapes. You should copy a ton of stuff from Apple Music‼️ Edit: Still missing Sign In with Apple (THIS HAS BEEN FIXED‼️‼️‼️) Edit: App needs to copy a lot of things from Apple Music‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

So many bugs and glitches. Been using DatPiff for a few years, has very exclusive music which I love. Otherwise, it is littered with bugs and poor user-friendliness. For example, i will be playing music from a playlist and the song that is playing, the art displayed, and the song listed at the bottom are all different. Like how is this still an issue, DatPiff has been around forever. Seems like they don’t even have a tech team. Other glitches like not being able to like a song or add it to a playlist are also frustrating.

Amazing (just one thing). Don’t get me wrong, I. Love. This. App! The amount of mixtapes and EPs is insane. The minute amount of ads is great. However, just one thing. Trying to close the app is a hassle. I could be playing a mixtape and trying to exit the app but instead it’ll just play another song. Definitely think this could be be improved in the future. review for V 5.0.2. •Do not like this update. Please bring back where you can tell if there are song’s missing when looking at the playlist. They use to be highlighted in yellow. There is no indicator for missing songs anymore. I don’t want to waste my time playing a CD that has a bunch of missing songs. •!Playback is also not great. It’s randomly stopping on the next song and I have to keep pressing the start button for it to play. Today it’s terrible. It does it both with app open and closed. •When it goes to a new song & the app is closed it’ll stop playing. On my lock screen I hit play & it’ll say it’s playing but no sound. I have to open it. Then it resets to 0 time and I have to press play.

great app but recent issue. I love this app, been using it since i was a freshman in high school. just recently though no music wants to play? it must be on my device (iphone 12) because i tried on my other phone (iphone 8+) and it worked perfectly fine. i figured it might’ve been my network or the app needed an update, maybe i just had to uninstall and reinstall the app. none of these worked. its just a weird bug i’m experiencing that doesn’t let me enjoy the main purpose of the app itself.

Love the music - Hate the App. Love having access to the mixtapes that Datpiff has but none of the features that make an app more user friendly work (at least on a dependable level) When I like, download or add a song to a playlist it fails to work more often than it actually works. It’s annoying to not have all my fav mixtapes in one area or to make a playlist of liked songs but at least I can search and find great music.

Fix this plz!. Sooo I haven’t been on this app since 2018 and it’s been a minute since I used it. But then a couple years later in 2020 I re-downloaded it again, and the app isn’t the same as it used to be. I’ve seen a few reviews for this app and I agree how this needs to be fixed and not friendly user or whatever you guys do now. It’s already 2023 and this app still hasn’t got anything updated or fixed. I can’t play any DJ mixtapes or download them like I used to. Not one track is played from a certain mixtape that I wanna listen. Seriously DatPiff, please fix y’all app cuz this app is now ruined. It ruined the love of us hip-hop fans that this app is complete garbage and it wasn’t the same app before when we used to listen and download some of our favorite mixtapes. Now I know I gave it a one star but the fact that this app doesn’t even work anymore and it was once a great app now turned into a downfall… DatPiff if you guys are reading this, I seriously hope y’all understand and fix this app ASAP!

Buggy and constantly crashes. I wanted to download some old mixtapes I used to listen to for work, every other time I tried to download a mixtape the app would crash. I kept reopening and retrying to get the music I wanted. Now today I’m at work and half the things I downloaded aren’t in my library, and some of the mixtapes I did download don’t have any content (the songs just won’t play, it says they’re all 0 seconds long) and according to the comments on those mixtapes they’ve been broken for 7-8 YEARS. The songs I can listen to are buggy too, it will show a different title and album cover than the song I’m actually hearing... Back in the day datpiff was the one, but nowadays it’s not the same and app just stinks.

Datpiff is dead. Who is control of the site and the app design? They are running what was the go to mixtape place right into the ground. Not even going to go into detail on what is wrong and what doesn’t work because it is such trash nothing works. They keep removing features. So let’s all just stop putting ourselves through this misery and ditch this dead company. I wrote to them asking if they could fix the web issues and still no reply. The update they did do on the website didn’t fix anything besides change the way the ads are displayed.

The collection of music is great. The library of this app is very impressive and without any payment you are allowed to download most of it. Though if you are into more current artists or albums downloading might require payment but overall this is not a problem. Some other issues around interface along with bugs and such is overshadowed by an deep collection of all types of mixtapes and albums.

disappointing!! What happen over the years since the last time I’ve listened. I’ve been using this app for years, left away from it for a little while and I come back to it & it’s just so not the same. I can’t listen to a whole mixtape without lagging of a song not being able to play or not available to play. This is not how I remembered this app being like. Just a few days ago I decided to get back on and as I’m playing a mixtape every time or most of the time when a song is about to end, It takes a lil bit for the next song to play or just won’t come on at all and skip to the next one or to a track that will play. In the early we hours of the morning b4 saying this, I was trying to listen to one of my favorite G-Unit radio mixtapes and I could not listen to not one song on that particular mixtape. This app seriously needs some fixing or upgrading to it

Disappointing. I have had the DatPiff app for years, and used the website previously. I used to enjoy the platform for discovering new music, and easily finding old favorites. The current version of the app is abysmal in both regards compared the user-friendly version we’re used to. I’ve added the second star because I have been successful in accessing my saved content for later playback. A couple of stand-our issues: - The “What’s Hot” feature no longer lets you sort by date. This is the biggest disappointment as it makes it very hard to find new music. Would love to see What’s hot this week, or this month - not, “here’s what’s hot right now and it’s an album for 7 years ago”. - The search tool is a disaster. Instead of sorting search results by popular, it appears to sort by key word so we have to scroll endlessly to find the relevant artist or mixtape. - What is the point of an “Upcoming” section if we can’t bookmark or save the content to access once released? It will just be lost in the library of this mess of an app. I’m sure the partners are kicking themselves for using the recent devs, but hopefully they can reach a mutual agreement to iron out the major wrinkles in the new version of the app. If another app solved the issues datpiff would disappear from my phone faster than it takes the app to load. I miss my music.

Download trouble. The new update looks amazing, but I am having trouble downloading a mixtape. I have downloaded a few since the update, but for some reason Owl Pharaoh my Travis Scott won’t download all the way, and it won’t let me play any of the songs. Also, I’ve also found that I can’t delete any of my mixtapes, so I can’t simply delete and redownload Owl Pharaoh. I would really appreciate if this was fixed, or if there is a solution that I’m just not seeing that I could be made aware of.

Download music lag. Not sure if it's the download music I have or what's going but my app is SLOW! It got so frustrating that I went as far as to just leave one song downloaded for each complete mixtape/album originally downloaded loaded just to maybe help with the lag and delay of my music playing but still the same BS. I went downloaded LiveMixTapes which I use as well as MyMixTapes, AudioMac and even Spindarella but when I want official music and the best I use TIDAL. If I delete DatPiff I'll lose all my music... been there done that but it should be lagging for less than 15 downloaded tapes especially with only a single song on each. The live feature is great it allows me to look at the full albums so need to have the whole tape downloaded but what's the use if we still lagging with one track... get it together y'all was the best for a while now.... not so much

G.O.A.T. Datpiff is the best free mixtape streaming/download service out there. It's free download feature allows it to make it to the charts & get the attention of other music artist who support this movement. This makes Datpiff one of a kind as of now. Better than it's competition and other music streaming services that aren't even in the same league.

This app needs to be fixed. Been A member of the app since 2012 took a break from this app for a while, and I come back and half of my downloads and liked mixtapes are not there, the app said that I can recover my downloads but it won't do it ever time I tap on that option it says something went wrong. I this app but Imma need whoever in charge of this app to fix this malfunction.

Fantastic app. I really love this app, has tons of music you can’t find easily elsewhere in one place. My only problem is the ads are annoying, every other album i click on there’s an ad makes it’s harder for me to get into new music. I’d pay a lil bit of bread, one time fee to remove ads. Ads make this app hard to use and i like using datpiff.

Needs bug fix. You cannot leave the song page without accidentally playing the bottom of the playlist on iPhone XS Max / any other iPhone that needs swiping up for the home menu. Without fail if a song list is open and you’re swiping any direction to close the app or switch apps, it selects the bottom song. I will rate 5/5 as soon as this is fixed. Never had an issue otherwise.

Updates. - Miss being able to double click and view the album art work. - Being able to resume play on an album which I was listen to. Very irritating when I have to search for a album which isn’t on the new release in which I was listen to. - have a playback option, a user always have to start all over again

App only works on WiFi connection. This app has been redesigned for close to a year as of this review. It still has the same issues it did when it was rolled out. - Can only play music when my phone is connected to WiFi. I have a 5G connection most of the time and I cannot stream music on this app unless I’m on a WiFi connection. - Can’t access my library and favorited mixtapes. Just says “no internet connection” even when I’m on WiFi. This issue just popped up this month. The app redesign looks good and I like how the music plays seamlessly with no load time in between tracks (great for actual mixed/blended tracks on mixtapes) but the two problems listed above really drag this app down. It’s been a year as well and these problems are still happening. The app needs a major “ironing out” of the backend issues for it to be good.

Please Fix this app. This app has been one of my favorites for years…. And it was great for version 4.0-4.x.x But every since the 5.0 update…. This app is terrible, it’s difficult to access my playlist and liked mixtapes, and I also can’t find where to access my downloads…. My previous downloads won’t recover it says “Something happened try again”….. and when I download a mixtape I can’t find the list of downloads which means I can edit what I have downloaded and I can’t delete it,….. on too of all of that, it doesn’t work with CarPlay anymore…. DatPiff please fix this broken app

The update has been the worse. Ive been using this app for over 10yrs and this recent new update has been terrible. Its harder to find music. The music lags when it plays. I couldn't recover any of my saved mixtapes. In the “downloaded section” it shows every single song on the tape instead of just the ones I downloaded. The buttons are non responsive when Im trying to navigate through pages. Its just a total inconvenience & I wish I could get the previous version of the app back instead of this new “upgrade”.

So far not thrilled…. I will start off by saying that this is a very beautifully and well put together app. It’s easy to locate the albums and artists you are looking for. My only issue is that I just downloaded this an hour again and starting making a playlist only to find out that the app is glitchy or something because I couldn’t get the songs to play. It would play some and not others. It was very frustrating

The free app that embarrasses the paid apps.. This application/website is such a blessing to the people who desire to hear music that isn’t in the Billboard Hot 100. Every artist, song and album that I have ever searched for has been found and fulfilled by the people that run this program. Please disregard the “ReViEw” written by Lalemdjak. Not only is his grammar abysmal; but he complains about the search feature using keywords and showing “the most relevant content.” And then at the same time complains about something he searched for showing the “hottest” music instead of what he searched for. Pick one buddy. This app is amazing and keeps me in tune with the albums I cannot stream with any paid service. Please support the people who respect US and run this program and DOWNLOAD!!!

Latest Update Ruined App for Me. The latest update removed a lot of saved & downloaded tapes from my profile that Ill never remember the names of. Also, no one seems to be talking about the issue where you can’t scroll through another mixtape’s songs if you’re already playing something- since the song you’re playing is in the way. Doesn’t seem to be a way to stop/close the song, so you have to CLOSE THE APP TO PLAY SOMETHING ELSE. Haven’t even gotten to the ROUTINE crashes.

Annoying ads. Putting ads when you download was fair enough, but putting them whenever you change your downloaded songs playlists is just to far, especially when I'm training or driving and have to wait till I can X out of the ad till I can continue what I'm doing, please fix this annoying "new" feature

I used to listen to G unit and all the whiteowl drop that tapes in the early 2000s in high school and in this streaming age I salute datpiff on upgrading up to the streaming standard while remaining free for users and even if tracks are commercial and blocked at least they still list them so you can fill in the blanks of what songs are missing well done datpiff

Not working since update.. I have enjoyed using this app for a while now and ever since the update on17th of December all I get is the loading screen so I cannot use it. I have an iPhone 6 so it should be fine. datpiff have also shut down their mobile site! So very annoying.

Stopping. Songs are stopping at the end of each song instead of continuing to the next, this has started since the latest update.

Great app. I love this app, wide range of mix tapes to choose from and has worked for me since the update, I would like to see a repeat and shuffle button though, otherwise great app!!

What happened datpiff ???. Loved the app previously before the update, since updated the app no longer works the load screen flashes on for a second then shuts down every time I go to use it plz explain datpiff ???

I wish...... I downloaded this app, crossing my fingers, and hoping that it was going to work........ but it didn’t. The actual app is genius and the presentation of it is great so I definitely recommend downloading and at least trying it on your on your device, but it’s just really disappointing...

Only plays single song. You need to press play after every song, this is horrible when driving, change it back so you can listen to a whole mixtape without needing to touch the app.

Finally an app!!. Can't wait to listen to these mixtapes.

Crashes. I downloaded Datpiff months ago because I wanted to listen to some artists mixtapes. I absolutely loved hearing them but recently when I went to listen to some music again the app crashes every single time I press play on a song. It’s getting so annoying for real, like I just wanna listen to some mixtape Logic man. I don’t know if it’s because I have an iPhone 6 or what I just want it fixed, if this gets fixed 5 stars easy.

App is broken. The app has been broken ever since I updated it. It goes to the main screen and then the app freezes and you can’t select anything.

Downloads gone. Updated this stupid app now all my downloads are gone... clicked on the “recover download” but then it says “sorry an error has occurred, please try again later” smh

Amazing. This app is amazing, I love Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) and every single one of his free mixtapes is on here, also love the download feature, audio quality is amazing. Overall great app.

Can not delete songs. New update is crazy!! Cant shuffle the whole library and you have to download the whole mixtape and can’t delete songs or pick a few songs from a mixtape. Hope this gets fixed....

YouTube is easier to use with all the adds. New interface is hard to navigate & you can only download complete mixtapes after the latest update I since deleted the app YouTube is much easier

Can’t play music unless you have data turned on. Before this last update I was able to listen to music I downloaded with my data off now I can’t play those songs unless my data is on can you fix this ASAP

Love this app!. I just discovered this app and am so happy! Some of my favorite tracks are on mixtapes (lil Wayne ❤️) and now this app gets more play time than Apple or Spotify.

update sucks. like others recover library doesnt work had tons of mixtapes that no longer on site saved, “whats hot” cant even sort by week kr month anymore that was a good feature, on newest out cant even see hip hop txl which i know i lot of ppl look for now its just buried, need to revert to old way, new isnt always better and this proves it

App crashes when I try to play music. Whenever I hit play on a song the app automatically crashes, no matter the song. Very annoying, hope it’s fixed soon.

DISGUSTED. Every since you all upgraded the app it has been nothing but “ Pure Garbage “. It doesn’t give you the right mix tapes for the artists your looking up, it’s super slow, if you skip a song the album may stop and never comes back on and it’s almost a complete waste of time to even get on the app. A very disappointed long time user.

Extremely Buggy. Pretty incredible to have this amount of music available from an app for free… with that being said, the app is almost unusable. You can only listen to one song before the app bugs out and plays a different song than the one that it is listed. Create some revenue streams through ads so you can afford to hire a tech team to fix these bugs.

Bug fix please. Only problem I experience is after you go into an profile cover to view or listen to songs and go back out to menu you have blank art work for covers. Doesn’t reload correctly after viewing mixtapes. Please fix if possible. Thanks. Datpiff is the best so far.

Disappointed. Used to have a section for the “diamond” mixtapes but it’s no longer there on the app. You have to legit search for the mixtape so there’s no way to listen to the older mixtapes without knowing what you’re looking for. And then when you search, the mixtapes aren’t in any type of order. Extremely frustrating

Always good. 1rst. Review.. The app works well. No complaints. Ads when downloading albums but if you just ignore them for a few seconds you can just X out of them. Datpiff thanks for keeping me current with the underground artist!

!!!!!. This is all I listened to in the early 2010’s so it’s great to visit back my old favorites. I don’t know if it’s on the app or the artist that uploaded but I did come across a project that will no longer play the full song in some areas. But besides that, its 5 stars ⭐️

Possible changes. Love the app but I wish there weren’t so many ads especially when downloading my favorite songs. Also I’ve noticed lately that the app either will only play half of a song or while searching will jump to the top of the page on its own while scrolling

App quits whenever I try to play a song. I like Dat Piff and it’s website and selection go crazy, but when I got the app it doesn’t let me listen to any songs. As soon as I click a song to play the app quits out and this repeats no matter how many times I restart my phone or redownload the app. Again I like Dat Piff so I hope this problem is fixed so I can enjoy it on my phone and not just on my laptop.

Meh, liked it a lot better a few years ago. Ads have become near suffocating, but I can get past that. The real issue with the ads is after an ad is done playing. Turning off my screen or going to the home screen stops the music. So I’m unable to play music in the background until I open and close the app 2-4 times. Only ever occurs after an ad.

SO CLOSE. Bro I’ve been using this app for years. It’s definitely my go to for mixtapes, but there’s certain things like liking songs and creating playlists that are still straight up broken. Are you guys hiring? I’ll literally do contract work to help fix this no joke.

Update. Latest update has too many bugs and glitches. The interface was changed and the layout looks great upon first glance..HOWEVER, you can’t delete any downloaded mixtapes, music doesn’t seem to play for songs not downloaded to your library or while streaming and don’t even think about trying to filter your searches.. fix this issue ASAP!

iPhone 5 user concerns. 1. Can’t listen to all songs anymore the “search songs” is broken. So with this update came the inability to listen to all songs simply as a library of songs rather than individual mixtapes. 2. Pick a mixtape, pick a song. If you’d like to change the song you have to skip, as the display doesn’t allow room to scroll down. Same can be said about attempting to change the mixtape altogether. Once a song has been selected from said mixtape there is no way to select another song or even choose a different mixtape without closing out the application and reopening. Please address this issue. The old version had 0 problems, why “fix” it when it wasn’t broken?

I’M OVER THIS APP!!. I have had this app for years and at first it worked fine. For the last couple years however when I try to listen to a song, it doesn’t play. I can close out of the app and reopen it multiple times and still nothing happens. I’ve tried to give you all a chance to fix it and I kept the app hoping it would start working properly but at this point I’m deleting it. I’ll find another way to listen to the mixtapes I like.

Went to crap. This used to be my go-to for all the mixtapes I couldn’t find anywhere else. Now it’s pointless because I can’t play a single song on here. Doesn’t matter how many bars or how good the Wi-Fi. Nothing plays. This has been slowly progressing for about a year now. At first it would act up from time to time. Now it’s complete crap. Writing this review then deleting the app for good.

App crashing. I love Datpiff... but what’s up with the app crashing every time i try to play music? It’s been doing it for a good 2 months now. Other than that, when it was working for me it was my go to.

Not anymore. Used to love this app but the new update is terrible. You can’t delete old stuff you don’t want or scroll to a specific song on something you downloaded. Might download it again if they get those things fixed but it takes up too much space without the ability to delete stuff. Have had this app for a long time on multiple phones and really liked it.

Hate this app!!. I legit can’t stand this app lol only reason i keep it is when i feel like fooling with it to listen to my old local music or old mixtapes. I can’t even make a playlist (Error 401). I can only listen to one mixtape at a time since the app doesn’t provide a list of all of your songs to play at once. Options are limited. I wish they would get this app together especially if they’re going to upload new music.

Saving. Why doesn’t the mixtapes stay saved into the account ? I don’t think it’s fair to have to redownload them all the time I go from one phone to the next . I still love the music though

Great. This app has definitely come a long way. What happened to the celebrated mixtape section? it might not have been called that but it had the biggest tapes organized by download count. would be nice to have that back since i mainly use datpiff to find old tapes I forgot about

So buggy that it’s completely unusable.. When searching anything it will never load, it takes forever to download songs, even when they are downloaded they and be played unless you’re lucky. Unfortunately there’s some great music on this app, makes it extremely frustrating to hear my favorite songs.

Terrible Update. The way this app looks & sorts your music is awful after their most recent update!! No longer being able to play all downloaded songs in one shuffle and having to play individual mixtapes to get to songs you want to listen to (vs the old datpiff that only showed your downloaded tracks in the tape). The old look was perfect!

New look ain’t that great. I’ve been using this app for a while now, probably over a year now. To be honest, it’s great. I had no complaints before this new update. But now I gotta say that the app’s new look is pretty generic and ugly. The previous look had its charm and it looked so much better. This new update takes away all personality the app once had.

New Look. The facelift is great, way easier to use. however, you GOTTA let us delete certain songs. most of these im not tryna have the whole tape. also, playlists are broken. i cannot create a new playlist. its blowin me.

Everything you need. DatPiff is better than any other mixtape app or site. The freedom to listen to new mixtapes and old ones. The bonus of a ticker for up and coming mixtape. The sound quality is good and the app doesn't crash

Library songs. Wish you can shuffle all songs in library something so little can make app WAY better. Also when searching and scrolling down after a little bit of scrolling sends me back up top. Those 2 fixes and it’ll be best mixtape app period and guaranteed 5 stars!

App Is Great But There’s One Issue. This is the only thing that prevents me from giving this app a 5 star rating, it has to be the fact that we can’t remove ads. If there was a way that we could pay to remove them or something, that would be great. Other than that app is great.

Great app however needs improvement. Thanks for bringing DatPiff to the App Store been a loyal user for years! The app needs landscape mode especially for iPad support, people don’t only use this on mobile phones. Looking forward to landscape mode soon Otherwise great app

Buggy mess of an app. Datpiff has tons of great music. They exclusively hosted all of the biggest mixtapes, which is a shame because the app barely works and it’s the only place that you can listen to much of this content. The app is super laggy, it never lists the right track under “now playing”, and tracks load really slowly compared to all other streaming platforms. I would use this app a lot more if they improved its functionality.

Disrespectfully horrible app. Only exists to generate ad revenue. You can tell that the first review was written by an owner or stakeholder. 1st 🚩 is when you call someone out for “complaining” when that’s what the f’ing review section is for 🤦🏾‍♂️ App crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME! Mixtapes won’t even play. Instead it triggers my Apple playlist. I have content on here from here 10 years ago that I’m trying to access. But I doubt they care. It’s strictly an advertising revenue play.

Audio Playback. I love datpiff with all my heart. It’s where I found Flatbush Zombies, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, and even Vince Staples mixtapes that are unreleased. However I stuck to the website version to listen to music. I can actually lock my phone and still listen. If you guys can let us lock our phones and listen to music, easy 5 star app.

Ads. The app Overall is great just wish they had a version where you can pay to remove ads(if not I’d rate it 5 stars), but other than that I’m enjoying running into old mixtapes I grew up listening to they’re on point with that.

Did you guys check out ??. Are you ever going to fix this app? I can’t connect and can’t create playlists. I can only listen to music directly off the mixtape. Also, when are iPhone users going to be able to save these files and put them on their Apple Music libraries?

App isn’t working properly. I’m only giving this app 3/5 because I really enjoy it when it works. I’ve been trying to listen to some of my older music and it’s only located here and now the app and website isn’t working. Can someone update the website or app?

Fix new update please. Only thing that I dislike about the update is you can't make your playlist you have to download the entire mixtape instead downloading the song. Can y'all bring that back please. Besides that the app is Great.

Lock Screen. It would be nice to be able to change the song-volume from the lock screen from my phone. Also the Apple watch.. ios 13.1.2

This is ridiculous!. Ever since the most recent update yeah the layout looks a lot neater but everything else took a huge nosedive! It’s to the point where songs won’t even play! You guys to fix this ASAP!! *Update* nothing has changed. Music doesn’t play 90% of the time I use it and when it does it randomly closes the app and when you go back in the songs won’t play. I’m over it. The updates have seriously ruined this app. Looks nice but works like crap!

Fix playlist option. Love the app but I need to be able to make playlists. Every time I try I just get an error message. I can’t even favorite songs either. I love the app- I don’t mind it being a little buggy every now and then if I can listen to all of the mixtapes for free, but I’d really like there to be a working playlist option

Lots of Bugs. With the iPhone 7, there a several bugs. These include frozen frames, disabled buttons, and downloading issues. I can only vouch for the 7. I’m thinking older phones might have trouble with this rather than newer models. I still use the app regardless.

Crashing. Not sure what has happened. I’ve been using Datpiff for years then all of a sudden about a month ago every time I try to play a song the whole app closes. I was forced to go to other music apps to listen to my music but none of them have the selection of Datpiff. I wish the would look into this because I miss Datpiff.

Creating Playlists…. Im on iphone12 max pro. For some reason I cant make a playlist on the DatPiff app. It would really upgrade the app to have a queue feature added! I hope this review gets noticed and this app becomes even better!

Horrible new update. This new update is so bad for one when i download an individual song it says it’s downloaded but doesn’t show up anywhere in my library, then on the update before this you could “random” and all the mixtapes would play that’s not available anymore. Also the downloads used to be so fast and i csnt delete any songs or mixtapes. What is happening it was great how it was before and also the playlist looks cheap and jank! Plz fix!

Dope app. Worth it.. I’m not much for reviews. You got a mind, so make up your own mind about what you like. Occasionally, however, I get a hold of something that I wanna persuade people to use. This one of those things I think is worth me trying to persuade you to use it. Use this app.

Best mixtape app out. Always will be a 5 star app to me but I’m not sure if there’s a bug in the app or if it isn’t iOS 14 compatible yet. It loads in just fine but sometimes won’t play any mixtapes in my library even downloaded ones.

Best and better then Apple Music. I had this app for over a week and found all my favorite songs that was not on Apple Music. Like for example I found songs my dad has made you guys should check it out it’s O da Hustla. Have a good day everyone

Redesign is Amazing. Thanks to the update it’s easier to use the app On the iPhone X and up. Before every time I tried to swipe out, it would switch songs or change albums whenever I clicked out! This redesign is absolutely beautiful! Keep up the fixes!!

Worst update ever. Why even use this anymore. I understand that as time goes on, theres times to change and update things. Even try something new. But this newest update is the worst garbage ive seen in a music app. People used this because of the options to discover new artists and archive the old. Youve taken away all of that. Now all we have is 4 preset categories and 3 features at the top? Theres been some dumb stuff yall have done but this tops all that

Exiting app. Great app. One thing I’m noticing is when I’m trying to leave the app from my iPhone 11 max pro it sometimes changes the phone. Thanks DatPiff shout out for being around allllllllllll these years!
