Excellent resource. This is the best resource bar none for rum and tiki drinks. The extensive collection of Beachbum Berry recipes is fantastic and the ability to flag, favorite, search by ingredient, and list the recipes you can make with your inventory on hand makes the my first go-to when mixing. The recent update allowing notes on individual recipes made me push this from 4 to 5 stars. Fantastic, thank you!

Can’t live without this!. I use this app constantly! It is great if you are into cocktails , a MUST is you are into tiki. You get all of the Beachbum Berry books and his glorious research , all in one app. The only thing I think they could possibly add is a random feature, where the app picks a random drink for you to make based off your available ingredients. Even still, this is hands down the best value in all of app-dom!

Terrific, tropical Tiki made easy. Okay, so that review title may be a little bit hyperbolic, as we all know that delicious tiki is, by nature, pretty complex. Layers of exotic flavorings and spirits meld together to make an ethereal, boozy experience, but they also usually make for an expensive and hard-to-find shopping list. This is exactly where the strength of Total Tiki lies. First off, finding a single anthology with this much authentic tiki is all but impossible. Just try. Second, this app makes it so that there is no more thumbing through lengthy books, aimlessly searching for something you think you can make with what’s on hand. Total Tiki takes the digging and guess work out of finding the perfect cocktail for your tropical evening. Simply selecting the ingredients you have filters down results to the available recipes you can make right then and there. Even better is the feature that auto-applies substitutions based upon your inventory selections. This just further widens your available tiki drink options without requiring you to spend another penny. It’s honestly like having a professional mixologist on standby, catering to your every budget-minded whim. Back to my original point: tiki isn’t simple. Hasn’t ever been, and never will be (at least not without sacrificing a lot of flavor). However, it doesn’t have to be frustratingly complicated or expensive... and Total Tiki proves it! Take a sip and slide into your Polynesian pjs, this app is worth the snag.

Really useful tool. Great app with excellent features. I love that it not only lets me store an inventory of my ingredients and shows what I can make, but also shows me appropriate substitutes and recipes that I’m just one or two ingredients short of. One bug: the journal function won’t show my text as I type or when I’ve saved a journal entry and try to edit it. I can only read my journal entry text on the journal entry list view. Gotta type and edit blind.

Favorite Drink Recipe App. As an amateur mixologist I’ve used a ton of drink recipe apps but this one is by far the best, particularly when it comes to Tiki drinks. Loads of amazing features and incredible recipes on an easy to use interface.

Tiki. Scrupulously researched and beautifully designed, this is a must for anyone with a serious passion on down to those with a simple passing interest in the history, culture and the crafting of tiki drinks. Lots of great bells and whistles and easily navigable. My only criticism and/or item I'd like to see revised would be the ability to put notes on recipes (as Tiki+ had) because it can be helpful when returning to past drinks.

Outstanding!. I can’t remember the last time I liked an app enough to actually review it. But, this is one of the rare few that I actually want people to know about. This app not only gives you a huge number of tiki drink recipes, but also helps you adapt your collection of rums and other liquors to each recipe. Lots of other recipes leave you hanging when you can’t find the exact rum they want, but this app helps you a cross reference similar brands and types of rum to find a suitable alternative. I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again!

Must Have for Tiki. If you tiki then this app is a necessity.

"Bar" None, the very best! An absolute essential for every Tiki fan!. The app is so great it has even saved my marrage! When the going gets tough I can scroll through the worlds greatest compilation of exotic libations and find the perfect breath of sanity to put life into propper perspective. Everything about the app is easy to use and well laid out. Their tech support is incredible; I emailed a question on a Sunday afternoon and received a resonse back with in twenty minutes! Truly a perfect colaboration of Tiki and Tech masters. Berry and Doudoroff are wizzards! Can't wait for updates. Way cheaper then therapy too!

Great reference. I’m relatively new to to tiki, but I really dig this app. One of the most useful features for me is the glossary of ingredients, where under things like “dark rum” and “Demerara rum”, they have a long list of the specific rums that qualify. To a novice, that’s *really* helpful. The ability to create an inventory of the ingredients you have and see recipes you can make is every bit as awesome as you’d think.

Great app!. Nice app for tiki cocktail and ingredient recipes from scratch. Great help to be able to plug in the ingredients on hand and identify which recipes you can make!

Really well done app!. Great list of drinks, sure, but the fun part is how it can tell you how close you are to making certain drinks but for lack of 1 ingredient. For a tiki drink list this is key! And the ingredient descriptions are fantastic too, especially all the different types of rum and some of the more esoteric ingredients. The research and knowledge that went into this, plus the good app design, make it worth the price.

Easily worth the price. This app is amazing. First, it has all the content of multiple great books on tiki drinks including beautiful photographs and a staggering array of recipes. Second, the app has a well considered inventory function. You can input your bar inventory and get a clear list of everything you can make, plus guidance on what what to shop for to expand your options. It even cleverly suggests substitutions when needed! Third, this app is part of a family of apps with a similar focus. The inventory you maintain in one MixologyTech app can sync to others. This was a game changer for me and I have gone on to buy several of these apps. This one is by far the coolest but they are all well done and help compliment each other. I may never buy a cocktail book again.

Important feature missing!. I love anything that Jeff Berry publishes, this app included. It's very well designed and I love the updated ingredient/brand recommendations. One important feature missing from this version is a "notes" feature. Jeff Berry's previous app (Tiki +) allowed me to make notes underneath a recipe just as I would do in a real book. If this feature returns, I'd would be an indispensable app.

Tiki tiki tiki. Such a vast improvement over the Tiki+ app! My favorite new feature has got to be the "in my bar" ingredient inventory! My only complaint and hopefully something that can be added in on an update is a "notes" feature on each recipe like Tiki+ had. As I mix drinks I like to leave notes on the recipes regarding tastes, flavors, and whether I liked it or not. Thanks guys! Mahalo!

Definitive Tiki App. Jeff Berry has to be one of the most (if not the most) important people in the modern Tiki bar scene. This app is amazing; just spend the time to plug in the ingredients you have and away you go. Fully recommend for anyone wishing many days with an amazing drink in hand!

Best Rum Rhapsodie Recipe App!!. Thank you to Jeff Berry for doing the legwork for those of us that love these "tiki" drinks! This app has all the genuine original recipes for most of the worlds best drinks. Love the fact you can add your own notes. Especially love the option to have separate lists for different occasions/parties/etc... Thanks again Jeff!!!

My first and probably only review. Honestly the fact that this app is so well thought out made me write this review. Not only that, but I’ve been on this tiki craze lately and now I have 288 drink recipes that I can make!! I’ve made about 5 so far and have fallen in love with 1 but didn’t dislike the others. Believe me, I’ll be trying out many more! Hopefully by the end of the year I will have tried at least 50 more. Will update by then 😂 update: I now have 25 favorite cocktails and I know it will only continue to grow from here on out. What a wonderful app. I also got smugglers cove cocktail book but I still use the app more! Waaay more if I’m being honest

Not so “Total Tiki”. I downloaded the “Total Tiki” app and was initially pleased with it. However was very disappointed to see it didn’t include my favorite tiki drink the “Chartreuse Swizzle”. I emailed my feedback into the creators and they told me it was only included in their OTHER app “Modern Classics” which I would have to pay ANOTHER $9.99 for. So with that I’m unfortunately having to leave a 1 Star review. Seeing as this isn’t really a “Total” collection of their tiki recipes.

Nobody Beats “The Bum”. This app is a fantastic resource for the “fine art” of tiki cocktail mixing. A great way to keep track of your ingredients on hand and every recipe that you can create with said ingredients. Highly recommend this app. Well worth the price, whether you’re an experienced bartender or a novice.

Like floating on the trade winds.... A great collection of many of the most classic tiki drinks of the mid century, uncovered and rediscovered by the preeminent tiki cocktail authority, Jeff "Beachbum" Berry. This app includes all of the best recipes from at least four of Berry's books, so at $9.99 this app is really a great deal. In addition to the wealth of tiki drink recipes available, you get all of the unmatched functionality and features of the MixologyTech suite of apps. The most important functionality is the inventory feature, which lets you enter your inventory on hand in the app. It then shows you which recipes you can make with your ingredients, a particularly useful feature on this app, which can be a little overwhelming if you just start scrolling through the recipes alphabetically. With each ingredient an explanation is given of what it is, and all ingredients are provided as links so you can pick an ingredient in a recipe for example and then see which other recipes call for that ingredient. Substitutions are recommended for like ingredients when you are missing a specific ingredient but have a good alternative on hand. A sync feature that takes about 30 seconds to set up will sync all of your ingredients across all seven MixologyTech apps and across multiple devices. This is particularly handy if you use the app both on an iPhone and iPad. It also means that any time you delete and reinstall one of the apps you can just set up the sync again and all of your ingredients are repopulated immediately. Favorites and flags make it easy to find your favorite drinks and drinks you've been meaning to try. You can make custom lists of recipes and journal notes on each recipe, which is particularly helpful in this app as some of the vintage recipes will require a bit of tweaking to the modern pallet, and you'll want to notate those changes for future use. Another great feature, if like me you're always looking to expand the inventory and possibilities of your home bar, is the recommendation of ingredients to acquire. Near the bottom of the home screen you'll see a count of your ingredients, and what percentage of recipes you can make from the app. It then recommends the next ingredients that would most increase the number of drinks you'd be able to make if you added them to your inventory. There are some truly magnificent drinks included. My personal favorite is the Jet Pilot from Steve Crane of the Luau in Beverly Hills. Be sure to try that one. It's unique in its complex flavor profile, and always gets the job done. Links for much further reading on both tiki drinks as well as tiki style are included, as well as sources for barware, bar tools, and many of the specialized tiki drinkware which Beachbum Berry has partnered with Cocktail Kingdom on to bring back to life. I am having a hard time imagining how this app could be improved upon, unless it could also mix the drink for me, but then where would be the fun in that?

Must-Have Cocktail App. Warning: out of app purchases. You will end up buying a couple (OK, several) more bottles after trying out these recipes. But it will be worth it. This is not only the definitive list of tiki recipes, it is a great reference for all manner of runs and other ingredients, and always gives you a range of options of preferred, commonly available, and substitute choices.

Best cocktail app I've seen. One of the most expensive apps I've bought but worth every penny. Has every feature I've wanted, all in a beautiful interface with tons of info. Intelligent ingredient substitutes, categories, photos. A polished app.

Best Tiki resource. I love cocktail books, have dozens if not hundreds, but the Mixology Tech apps- particularly this one, Martin’s Index & Wondrich’s Punch Index- are indispensable. It’s easy to keep track of my HUGE inventory across all of the apps, great for inspiration when you’re overwhelmed with options like I often am, but folks growing their bar will love the feature that tells you the next most useful products to buy to expand you’re repertoire. Also, I’m getting real recipes, not some Esquire or GQ or Playboy simplifications. We all know Don gave magazines fake recipes!

Solid.. I don’t spend money on apps or write reviews but I’m making an exception for this. If you like cocktails at all, much less tiki, this is a valuable resource.

Easily make great cocktails. If you’re a big fan of fun and delicious tiki cocktails such as the mai tai and the zombie than this is the app for you. Browse the massive list of cocktails and add ingredients to your bar at home to make the drinks you want. The ability to add the ingredients you have and then find drinks you have the ingredients for is the best part for me. Very easy to use app. Well worth the cost.

Near Perfect - But Room For Improvement. For Tiki aficionados this is definitely the “go to”App for learning how to make all those mysterious Tiki cocktails that look and taste so amazing. There are so many features in this app that make it very easy to see what you can make with the ingredients on hand, as well as see what you need to get to improve your options and expand your repertoire. It’s a five star rated app for me in that regard but I’m giving it 4 stars overall because it’s still lacking on a couple things: 1. More Rums need to be categorized and added to the listings. You can search by all kinds of keywords (for example: “dark, Jamaican, etc…), but often the results are minimal and lacking obvious rums that should be included. 2. A better rum database would be nice. Adding in search categories like the way it was distilled, the kind of base product used to make a rum, years aged, etc… would elevate this app to a full 5 stars for me. 3. We need to be able to add in our own recipes to truly take this app to the next level. I want my own creations as part of the database so I can use the inventory feature on all recipes. Add a filter option for “official” and “personal” recipes to segregate if needed. All in all, this app is a must have but there is definitely room for improvement!

My 2nd drink app purchase from this publisher. Though I've made and enjoyed numerous drinks and cocktails over the decades, I never went very far beyond a few comfortable favorites, that is, unless I was sitting at a competent bar somewhere and could order a drink that was outside my comfort zone! Along with "The Bar Book" (Kindle version) by J. Morgenthaler, and this publisher's Easy Cocktails (Shaken and Stirred) app, I feel I've received a fairly inexpensive, but surprisingly thorough, mixology starter course -- that is, inexpensive if you don't count the liquor store bill! Features such as the ability to track your available ingredients (including across their various apps via the included sync service), making journal entries, and knowing what drinks you can build given your current inventory (or with one or two more ingredients), made the cost of this app a non-issue for me. Very useful. Basically, this is what one good cocktail might cost you at a decent Tiki bar! I've only tried a couple of the recipes so far, but am looking forward to many more. I hope lots of fellow drink aficionados will also purchase these apps, such that the publisher will maintain and update this suite of apps for many years to come.

Great App. I’ve been using this app for over 4 years and I love it. It lets you track your inventory or just browse, as well as tag your favorites. As a fan of the Bum and all his books, the App is a super convenient way to have most of the recipes at your fingertips without having to always pull the books.

The app I’ve been looking for!. After scouring websites and bookmarking recipes, I stumbled upon this app which is exactly what I hoped it would be! A comprehensive, encyclopedia-like listing of tiki recipes, along with a bit of history on each drink and ingredient. I LOVE that you can check off what ingredients you have, and it will list what drinks you can make, (as well as what you could make if you went out and bought just one more ingredient). This has been extremely helpful in getting our home bar set up by allowing us to narrow down ingredients without breaking the bank all at once. Highly recommend this gem of an app! If you love tiki drinks and want to learn more about them, you won’t be disappointed.

Tiki bible in an app. $10 is worth it! All of BBB's knowledge in one app. Photos and histories for EVERY drink. You can list your "inventory" and it will list which drinks you can make. Also it will actively sub in what you have, for what you dont. Even more handy, it gives you a "bio" for many of the ingredients and which you should buy and why. Much of the stuff in stores today is fake mass produced stuff without quality. This app will steer you towards the tried and true to stock your bar. Effing brilliant!

As heard on Drunk on Disney. I love this app! I first heard about this app on a podcast called Drunk on Disney with Dana Snyder (aka Master Shake), Guy Hutchinson, and Bart Scott (author of Ears of Steel)! This app lets me know exactly what I drinks I can make on hand and if I need a few things, I text my friends and have them pick it up for me. There are not a lot of Tiki bars here in the chilly Minnesota, but with this app, I can make believe that I am in a tiki bar! Love it and I can't wait to share this app with more people I know!

Simply the Best. Beachbum Berry's new app is the definitive digital guide to exotic drinks. The author has literally written the book on all things tiki and it shows. One of the best new features of this app is the ability to catalogue your bar and it will show you the recipes you can make, as well as how many ingredients needed to make other popular drinks. With 250 recipes and tons of fun facts and explanations, this app is easily worth $10, although you could reasonably pay $50 for it and it would still be a bargain.

Worth the money. This app is really well thought-out. Managing your inventory is simple, yet more thorough than any other home bar app I've found. Its ingredients and substitution database is extensive. Even reading through the ingredients and recipes databases is actually fun and enlightening. Inventory is not just a simplistic "yes I have this/no I don't" interface like other apps. Each ingredient in the database has a dedicated page with info, suggested substitutions from your inventory, and recipes in which it is either usable or specified. Different parts of the app are linked together in this way which makes it extremely usable. Drink recipes contain history, trivia, vintage artwork. It's just on a different level than other similar apps. Worth every penny and makes me want to buy the other apps from this publisher. To the developer - I appreciate your efforts.

Fun-tastic app for cocktail fans!. I have learned so much from this app, both from the historical notes about the cocktails and from the amazing amount of information it offers about the various ingredients. You can create an inventory of ingredients you have on hand and then search by “drinks you can make” (or drinks where you may be missing one or two ingredients). I also love the fact that for the most iconic cocktails it has several different recipes, showing the evolution of the cocktail through the decades and as it appeared in different venues. One fix I would suggest: when you mark a cocktail as “Need to try,” it never leaves that list even after you remove the label and mark it as “Tried/Like.” That seems like an easy correction. (Not a huge thing, but when I’m looking for new drinks to try, it’s a pain to have to go through them all to see if it’s something I truly haven’t had before.)

Awesome app. So many cool new recipes and a great redesign. Only thing that would make it a 5 star is if the app can keep the phone awake while a recipe is pulled up (disable sleeping), just like the last Tiki+ app did. This would make it even more convenient to use- sitting the phone or iPad on the counter and reading ingredients/steps while mixing would be better without having to stop to wake up the iPhone/iPad.

Great App for the Summer .... ... and great for anytime you want a tropical drink. Beachbum Berry is a tropical drink legend and a great mixologist. This app will make you able to make “all” the classic tropical drinks. I always reference it as soon as the weather starts to warm up. Thanks for making these recipes available to all of us.

Just ok. Introduces a number of tiki options, that’s the positive. But in my opinion, they’re just not great. It’s good to test to see what you like without having to break the bank going to a tiki bar. But there’s a reason why you you probably never heard of most of these drinks. The app does require a significant amount of ingredients. But not sure it’s worth having to invest time and money. Go with your gut when making a drink, if you think hmm sounds like a lot of orange juice probably is too much. Last drink actually tasted like orange baby aspirin.

Very helpful. This is a very useful reference. The inventory functions are great. The history behind the drinks is interesting. The advice on garnishes is educational.

The Crown Jewel of Drink Apps. Don't let the $10 price dissuade you, this app is astonishing in its content and user interface. The drink descriptions, Berry's comments, and the photographs are worth it price even if you only end up making a few drinks. It is great fun trying new libations, and the ability to add notes for any drink is perfect for adding my tweaks to certain recipes and portion adjustments for making larger quantities, nothing like making two quarts of Zombies right?

Vacation at home!. Reliable recipes that make delicious drinks, and the integration with the other apps from Martin Doudoroff is outstanding. I can't recommend his apps highly enough. I would much rather have an app with a well-curated selection of high quality recipes, than an app with thousands of cocktails of questionable quality. Moreover, the app is well thought out, with extremely useful features. I particularly appreciate that this app has a number of lower-alcohol recipes, and that despite the reputation of most tiki drinks, not all of these recipes are sweet. All of them are complex and well-rounded. I've even e-mailed Martin a couple of times and immediately received friendly and helpful responses. I've purchased three of his apps and expect to add another 2 or 3 fairly soon. After using these apps, I don't want to use anything else. I know I'm gushing, but they are honestly that good. Quick hint: a number of these recipes call for "Jamaican dark rum". Yes, you can use Myer's Dark, but it's not ideal. Coruba dark is a bit better, but try mixing 1/3 Smith & Cross Navy Rum with 2/3 Appleton Signature or Reserve rum, if you can. There is a reason the recipes call for Jamaican rum, not just dark rum. Jamaican rum tends to be...funky. Open a bottle of Smith & Cross and you will immediately know what I mean. On its own it can overwhelm recipes, but mixed with a less overpowering Jamaican rum, its perfect.

Best knowledge. When we’re down in our home basement bar, Mai tiki Bar Indianapolis. We always pull a recipe out of this app for our friends to enjoy. Sometimes we make one cocktail and pour it into however, many people are in our bar three glasses or eight. And Barry is one of the nicest people you will ever meet

Tiki bar MVP. This app is a fantastic resource. I love the ability to track my bar inventory and see what recipes I can make. The search, filters, and cross-references make it easy to hone in further and find the perfect recipe. I love the backstories and illustrations that accompany the recipes, and the app is fun and attractive overall. I've only come across a few shortcomings. - A current issue I'm having is that the recipe pages no longer show my notes above the recipe. I still can find them in my journal, at least. (It started happening after I switched phones, and the newest note I added actually does display on the recipe, so maybe it's something to do with using a new device?) - When drafting journal entries, the app's nav bar covers the first 2+ lines of text, (on iPhone 8+, just the first line was missing. On the iPhone XR — taller screen — almost 3 lines are blocked by the nav bar.) so I can't see what I'm typing at first. My workaround is to hit Enter three times before typing anything. The blank lines are removed from the now once it's saved, so that's good. - The ability to add photos to notes/journal entries would be really cool.

Game changer. This app is amazing. The fact that I can load in what I have on the shelves and it spits out what I can make or what I just need a few more things for is fantastic. This and Smugglers Cove are my two must haves!

Must have for home tiki people. This is the first app I’ve ever spent more than $2.99 on and I would’ve payed double. Really wish we’d get an update with some new recipes though!

Best all-around tiki drink app. Not only a great drink recipe app, but also a tremendous resource of historical information. You can put in the drink ingredients you have on hand, and the app will tell you what you can make. For recipes, the app will show variations and the year the drink was invented. Clicking on an ingredient (like a type of rum) pulls up a database providing a little information about the ingredient, and some examples of the ingredient. Makes it very easy to enjoy high-quality recipes and to help stock your home bar.

Worthy Successor to Tiki+. The ingredients ,amazement Aline make this a winner over my previous toto tiki+. A few bugs nut I'll report those separately. Great app! Wish it had more back stories to accompany recipes, but it will do the trick.

The tiki gods are smiling. The design and functionality of Duodoroff's MyBar app plus the tiki expertise of the Beachbum is a match made by the tiki gods themselves. A must-have for novices or masters of the tropical libationary arts. (the support from the developer is also top-notch.)

A five star app with minor bugs. Little bugs that cause the app force close are the only thing keep the app from being a five star app

The best!. The ability to maintain your bar ingredients makes this so, so convenient. Also the ingredient suggestions and detailed info on some drinks really helps you understand the origins behind some of these excellent cocktails. Highly recommended alongside their other cocktail app.

THE best tiki drink app period. While their other cocktail app is a must have- this app is as well for diehard tiki fanatics. The bonus history, pictures and the timeline of how the cocktail went thru iterations and interpretations is fantastic. Again I'd add one thing. Add the ability to add your own recipes and or clone a drink and alter it, name a and all and be part of the tiki twisting community.

Rum Barrel's for all !!!!!. Love this app. Makes finding what I can make from my liquor cabinet easy. Only thing missing is a way to create a shopping list of needed supplies. This app is a must buy for any tiki enthusiast.

Fantastic!. If you would spent 10 dollars on a Mai Tai you owe it to yourself to buy this app. A must have for anybody who loves rum, good times, and the history of both.

Indispensable. This app would be a bargain at twice the price. Having the ability to reference Jeff Berry's recipes at any time - in the home bar or on the go - is a luxury. Great features for filtering, searching, and syncing, as well as keeping track of your ingredient inventory. Highly recommended.

Fun app worth the price. Raise my own apples and had so many this year I made apple cider. Found the cocktail recipe I needed to use them. Look for me asleep under the tree.

Great Tiki Drink app. Fantastic app, with loads of information on all the ingredients, and history behind the drinks. I love the "in my bar" features that filter out the recipes you can make with what you have on hand.
