Focus Keeper Pro - Manage Time Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Does not run in background. I really liked the free version and never had any issues with it, so I bought the pro. I’m disappointed because the timer suddenly stops when I’m using other apps on my phone or even just when an alarm on my phone goes off. If not for this issue, I would have given it 5/5 stars.

I loved this app but atm it’s broken to the point of uselessness. I loved this app and I religiously used the free version, I wanted to upgrade to support the developers but I’ll probably end up going back to the free because when the phone goes to sleep or the window is running in the background the timer pauses and it defeats the point of the app

Big issues with the new update. I have been using the app for years and my experience was nothing but great. This new update changes everything! The timer doesn’t work if the app is off screen which turns the app useless for tracking time. The charts new design isn’t as neat as before. In short the the app was great until this update came along.

There is no iCloud support. Disappointed after purchasing the pro version 😣

Small but Vital Improvements Needed. So, the app is largely good, but a few small issues really detract from the overall effectiveness and quality of the app. First, the inability to quickly restart a “group” of pomodoro timers. For example, if you have a lunch in the middle of one group, and want to start fresh when you get back, you have to manually pretend you did the rest of the first group. So if I do 3 rounds before a long break, and I’ve done 1, to start fresh at zero, I have to set timers for 2 and 3 to zero to get back to 1. This is really bad design. Second...the volume controls do nothing. I like the idea of ticking on my short breaks. But, you know, not loud. So I set the volume for those to 0.9. Except that doesn’t work. If it is ticking at that moment, it lowers. But when the next short break hits, it’s back to whatever my phone volume is. This makes that feature useless. The same is true for alarms. I don’t want to have to pick up my phone to change it every time, so I have to choose between turning off ticking or remembering to set my phone volume where I want it for this app, change it for other apps, then come back and change it for this app. The core is good. The errors render it a frustratingly incomplete app.

Great for focus. I really didn't think I needed an app like this, as I'm fairly focused normally--or so I thought! After a successful friend raved about it, I figured I could at least give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much more focused I am when using it, as it forces me to commit and stay on task. End result is that I get way more done than before I started using it. Here's how it has craftily gotten more work out of me. I only use it for tasks that need heavy focus. So I do a session and stay on task. Then it's break time and I say "Screw it--I'm on a roll." So I end up doing anywhere from 4 to 8 sessions in a row, with no breaks except bathroom and pour a cup of coffee. And the more sessions I do in a row, the more the challenge is on to do even more sessions. I find it funny how I entertain myself with this. But it's really interesting the mind games I have played in the past, where I let myself get distracted in the middle of important tasks by things I "really have to do." Now, when the challenge is on, all of that stuff waits until I've done at least 8 sessions, sometimes as many as 12. And I thought I really knew myself!

Glitches. This app used to work great until this past year. App automatically shuts down whenever I try to change the color scheme. Also the timer always reflects “25 min” even though I have changed the study session time in the options menu. This app was suppose to be an upgrade of the other time keeper app by pixio, but it seems that they have now made the two apps completely separate from each other

Great idea, one flaw. I have been waiting for months to see if they would add a "Break Volume" and it still hasn't happened. As it stands, the only volume controls are for "alarm" and "ticking", but I do not want the same volume level for "ticking" and "break" periods. I need to have "ticking quiet and in the background. Break should be a little louder. Let me adjust this, please. It almost makes me want to design a similar app with more control, because this seems like an easy fix.

Auto reset function does work. I like the timing structure of the app. The app is also very customizable! However, I am having a problems with the app not auto resetting each morning. This is becoming very frustrating. I do not want to go into the chart feature to see how many rounds I have completed each day. When the whole point of this app is to help me focus on tasks.

Simplistic tool. Simple and easy tool to keep focus and reminders to break. No issues with the app. Would be nice for the app to integrate with the Apple Watch.

Good, but the sounds could be improved. I am a student who uses pomodoro daily and need white noise to drown out ambient noises. The rain sound is good and relaxing, but it's a short clip that simply repeats. There's an audible pause amongst many of the clips, so in one 25 min pomodoro session you might hear the same clip repeat 15 times or more, very distracting.

Handy for staying on track. Very handy app for maintaining focus and tracking time spent on activities. It showed me how much time I was wasting. Scheduled breaks are a necessity and duration of activities is customizable.

Best pomodoro app. I’ve tried just about all the popular pomodoro apps, and in my opinion this one has by far the best interface. You can easily adjust the length of the timer from the main screen, even during a session, which is very convenient. And the app is very customizable. So, you can make timer a nice professional looking blue or gray if you like, instead of the tomato-themed look that most of these apps favor. A watch app would be a nice addition.

Used to be my go to Timer app for a long time. I’ve being waiting for a fix to this problem for months now, but so far all recent updates have not fixed it. This app for whatever reason don’t work in the background anymore. I would turn it on, and it would run in the background for a tiny bit and then it would stop. If this app. Can not run in the background, then it isn’t useable for me anymore. This is so upsetting as this was my favorite app. It was that good and still can be, but without the ability to have this app run in the background it is USELESS!!!

Battery dream. Sometimes I think this app uses the battery so much, Is it TRUE?

missing option to customize long break. Great options, but the interface is confusing and there are no help documents at all. Turns out that the "long break" only kicks in after 4 work/break cycles and there's no way to change that. Huge missing feature. I write in 48 minute work /12 minute rest cycles, and four of those is way too long for a longer break. There are great options for sounds and charting of how much focused time is spent on tasks, but interface clarity could be better, and for all this customization, how weird that you can't set the option for the long break. I guess it's back to PushPress timer for me... For people complaining about the sound clips: you can find and download whatever sounds you want, put them in your music library, and the app will play those instead. A really great feature.

no Watch app?!?. Unbelievable that there is no corresponding Watch app. If I'd known that, I wouldn't have purchased this in the first place.

I love this app because it helps tremendously!. Particularly, it’s updated regularly which reflects the sincerity of a developer.

Amazing Study App. This app is amazing. Before i used to find other things to do then my HOMEWORK but now I stay on task. Also I like how you get breaks in between and you get to custom you timer. Great App👍

Worth buying!. The interface is so neat and clean - not a single unnecessary tab. The sounds are good as well, really helping with focus. I love the red it has - not causing anxiety but giving me an urge to finish whatever I’m doing.

Perfect. Easily worth the 2 bucks I spent on it. Great pomodoro tool!

Just bought the app. It does not work unless the phone is on and unlocked. I would love to give 5 stars. It has to work first. Please update the app.

Great customizable app. I love that I can change the length of my focus time, the colors, and the sounds. Nice interface. One additional thing I would like to see is some kind of progress bar or circle visually showing how far I am into the session.

Make the change!. This app has really helped me in setting up a system in which I know I get to take a break after working for a certain period of time. The detail that you can choose what sound you want to hear on your breaks is awesome this app is great you just have to be dedicated to using it!

Broken color selection. I purchased this after the free version for the sole purpose of changing that terrible red color to something better. It crashes the moment you attempt the change.

Great helper. Pretty much what other five-star reviewer say. At least one reviewer mentioned it being a great way to deal with ADD/ADHD, and I absolutely agree. I find it pretty much impossible to work on-and complete-any project without this.

It’s good!. I had this app (the free version) on my older device, it worked perfectly! Switched to a new phone and used the auto backup process to set it and now it is all messed up. First the app version I had didn’t even open (the only app that failed the auto move process), so I had to delete and reinstall it. Then, the new version I installed didn’t support any of the cool features I loved so much, they are all blocked now under the “get pro version” wall. Very poor experience to have it all open and then get a crippled version when upgrading my phone... Ok, so I bought the pro version and guess what, the main feature that made me do it won’t even work!! Trying to set a song from my music library as the ticking sound keep failing, and actually does nothing (won’t even open my songs list to pick from). For me it was the main feature (it is an awesome feature) that distinguished this app from the rest of the similar apps out there. Not only that I could set a song as ticking sound but I could also have it keep playing in the background when other sounds (videos, lectures etc) were playing simultaneously. And now it is all gone.... Rather than that the app is fine but doesn’t offer any key advantage compared to many free timer apps. Please fix it. The app support link leads to a tumblr page 😩 so I had to write this review as a support ticket in addition to a message I’ve sent on tumblr (didn’t get any response to it). —- UPDATE—- They have finally fixed it!

cannot share audio. Even with all sounds disabled, it steals the audio focus of an iPad. So if you have music playing while you work, EVERY timer change (pause/play, or focus start/stop) pauses your music. Apple could fix this at the iPad level, but this app shouldn’t be trying to grab the audio source when all sounds are disabled.

Crash. This app crash constantly especially when you click to change color them

So buggy...aaaarrrrrhhhhhh. Daily experience with this app: start the timer, go to some other apps, then an hour later find out the timer stopped in the middle for no reasons...didn’t the developers use the app themselves? Edit: okay, so the app stops counting when you leave it or lock screen now, making it pretty much useless to me. I didn’t see any option that might change this and I definitely will not keep my screen on all time for this app.

Suggestions for fix/change. The app works overall fine and has been useful. That said, starting from earlier this year/late last year, the first round of 4 sessions would go smoothly, but after I skip the 25 minutes break and go directly to the next group of 4, each interval is that 25 minutes break (instead of the 5 minutes one). Was this done on purpose to promote a 25 mine break? Would much prefer being able to skip/jump as I wish.

update. i used to love this app but i’m not sure if there was a new update that changed things? now when i disable “prevent screen lock” to try and save my battery life on my devices it doesn’t accurately keep track of my time spent studying (i’ve timed it and it lags and it ends up documenting a lot less time than i actually have spent studying). it also no longer works when i decide to utilize another app which is super inconvenient. i don’t want to have my screen on for hours i would like to be able to have my screen lock and still keep track of my studying on this app! pls fix i do enjoy this app a lot!!

Amazing For Focus. Normally I’ve issues staying put and focused when working on my home. However, this app has been super helpful in keeping me in line with my studies. Truly, my grades have improved because of this app. Thank you!

Bug since last update. I’ve been using Focus Keeper for a while and it’s my pomodoro app of choice. But since the last update the timer stops when the app is in background, making my device useless when I need to track a pomodoro session.

Exceptionally Good Pomodoro Timer. The attention to detail in the number of options... Bravo 👏 — its as if I made the exact Pomodoro app I've always wanted. From the ability to easily add a few more minutes with a swipe, vibrations although my phone is on silent mode, fine-grained sound options. Easily the best one available. Kudos to the developer. This is an exceptionally well done app.

My favorite focus timer app. I have tried several but this has been the first one that works for me and provides me, and my writing, what it needs. Thank you for a fantastic app!

"We sacrifice the newspaper". Does what is says it does. Setup and skips somewhat counterintuitive ti learn. Wish there was more white noise sound types. Good app.

Doesn’t work anymore. Used to love this app and have used it for a long time. Since most recent update, it doesn’t keep the time anymore, which makes it kind of useless as a Pomodoro timer. Can you fix this?? Update: After waiting a month, finally gave up and am deleting this app from my phone. Doesn’t keep the time anymore when screen locks. I found another app that actually works. Too bad, it was a great app until the developer stopped supporting it. I had gotten the pro version to get the “customizability”. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Glitchy. I have loved this app at times. It has a few glitches which is causing me to seek a temporary replacement. For example, try adjusting the study time and check if it is altered (without having to mess around with finding a fix - opening and closing the app doesn’t work, but skipping forward will cause your new time to be held). There are others, but it’s time for me to study.

Working Again!. Edit: I didn’t heed my own warning I updated and now it stops what I’m listening to and doesn’t restart it following each already and cycle change I have to figure out how to make what was playing play again not so great for my easily distracted brain. For me this renders the app almost useless please fix ASAP, Thanks! OP: This is a great app and I’ve used it for a long time In a variety of settings. Easy to learn and use while still giving you options to customize for your specific needs. I love that you can choose your own color for each cycle, I am very color motivated. Be wary of updates there have been some bad ones in the past that at times rendered the app almost useless. However, in its current form all is well and this little app can be quite helpful in keeping you on task.

Beautiful, but choosing your own music doesn’t work anymore. Excellent work and I love this app. Inexplicably, the music selection doesn’t work on iPad or iPhone any more, whether in the free or paid versions. When that’s restored, I’ll add a star back in.

Excellent tool. This is a great tool to help you get through projects and work that needs to be accomplished. I like the peaceful sound effects during the long break. 😊

Developer stored data for unrelated app in my iCloud storage. Came across an app unknown to me storing data in my iCloud called “Baby Story: Pregnancy Pictures” despite never downloading or using this app or anything like it. Turns out it’s the same developer as this focus timer app I downloaded some time ago. This is unprofessional at best, and compromising to my data security and privacy and worst.

Doesn't Work In Background. The time doesn't elapse on it when it's in the background. I set the timer and a stopwatch on Google. After 2 minutes and 15 seconds had elapsed on the stopwatch, the timer had only passed 35 seconds.

Colors do not work. I used this app for several years. It has been free, and we had options to select colors. Nos, if I click on it , the app closes on you. Hope they will fix the issue

Won’t let me share with family. This app works great. However I’m only giving two stars because of the family sharing problem. I’ve now bought this app twice! The first was my fault because I didn’t read where “in app” purchases couldn’t be shared. I had upgraded to pro in the app, but couldn’t share with my son who was the intended user. So I went back to the App Store to purchase the Pro version. It STILL won’t let me share the app with my son even though the description clearly states that up to 6 family members can share it. My daughter was able to download the pro version without paying more, but not my son! I don’t want to buy it a third time just to get the thing on my son’s iPad!

Exactly what I needed!. As a writer I found this to be just what I needed.

Keeps me focused!. I rarely write reviews, but I couldn't help myself to write a review for this app that has actually work for me. I'm currently taking medical terminology, so yes, staying focused and memorizing terms is a must to pass the class. I couldn't believe my luck when I found this little gem, and to my surprise, it is actually working to keep me focus with my studies outside of a classroom. Thank you so much!

Helps the Start!. I have done a few needed assignments with the tool, it's good so far... Helps

As of most recent update, timer stops running in background when I switch to a different app. This app was working perfectly for me for years until the most recent update. As of today, whenever I switch screens, the timer stops running. I’m resorting to posting this review because, as at least one other reviewer has pointed out, the app and “application support” link to a tumblr page, which displays a different email address than the contact address given in the app and its most recent posts were in 2014. I’ve tried contacting the other email address—the one given in the app (I can’t be sure that email address is even still in use)—but haven’t heard back.

Good app. This app is exactly what I was looking for to implement the Pomodoro technique at work. Nice work.

Awesomely awesome. Every element of this app is expertly designed.

Customizable. This is a great pomodoro app that can be customized!

Works well, looks great. The pomodoro technique is a great was to get through large writing projects, and I've found this app to be the best pomodoro I've tried. It has enough features to keep me on track and motivated without being obtrusive or a distraction in itself. It's intuitive to use and looks super cute. Has really helped me keep on track in this years NaNoWriMo.

Best timer. This reminds me to get up from my desk for short breaks and then lunch break without having to reset anything. I love it. Easy to use, easy to set up. The best timer system I have ever got. Worth it completely

best Pomodoro. I've played around with a few desktop and mobile Pomodoro apps and this one's the best

Good app but needs some improving. Just bought this app for the notification centre funtionality. fairly pleased but could use some improvements. Ability to start pomodoro within notification centre. Also unable to turn the ticking off unless it's muted, but when it's muted, the alarms don't go off. Please fix. Thanks

Best Pomodor App avaliable. Ive tried many other apps and this is hands down the best one. It allows me to keep track of my 14 and 30 day averages which helps to keep me motivated. Really love it!

Superb app with some missing needed features. Hats off to the developers for a fantastic app. Tried a whole bunch of others that just didn't quite pull it off like this app has. If these features were to be added, it would be the perfect app (5 stars): 1. Assign a task or purpose to the pomodoro so when you glance at the remaining time in the pomodoro you are reminded on what you should be focusing on (Possibly review or track this in the charts section?). 2. Assign project or life area of focus to pomodoro ( i.e. "Personal", "work", "health", and "social" etc.) so in the charts section you can get a breakdown on the areas of your life you are putting more effort into compared to the others (presented in pie chart?). 2. Sync across ipad and iPhone so you can continue where you left off on your other device. 3. Apple watch support. Looking forward to your future developments Dev(s), you're helping my productivity immensely. Thankyou!

Exvellent. Excellent

Stops Procrastination. This app implements the pomodoro technique perfect. The latest update adds a few helpful features like setting the volume of the ticking independently. You can't go wrong with this app.

Almost perfect. I can't fault how well this app implements Pomodoro. Beautiful interface and highly customisable. All that's missing is an watch extension to tell me how long I have left on short and long breaks.

Elegantly designed and lots of beautiful options. Pleasantly surprised with this app - works seamlessly whilst still being very visually pleasing. Particularly like being able to change each setting individually - if I wish. Found it very motivating and keeps me on track with my studies. Just a beautiful app.

Don’t get the paid version. I thought this was better than the non paying version but no don’t pay for this app it’s suck

Great App. Clean & Functional. This app gets me away from my desk when I should and if the proponents are to be believed, will lengthen my life. Can't argue with that.

Disappointing. Hey there, I paid for a pro app years ago. Now to get any features I have to subscribe. But I already paid what you asked at the time. That’s a way to annoy your early supporters. If I am a Pro subscriber, you should provide my updates free. You’ll get your returns from others. Not happy.

Spammy. Stop spamming reminders to go back to using the app if I haven't used it in a while. Also, fix the timer wheel so it doesn't reset the timer when you accidentally touch it.

Earned a place on my iPads dock. I use this app on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone to remind me to get up and walk around/rest my eyes. I know that's not its intended purpose, but it does it incredibly well regardless. Gorgeous and useful app.

Great App. Thanks for a great app. Helps immensely to keep me on task. Would love to see an auto-reset button that can be used at any time.

Increased productivity!. Really helpful in keeping on track and making sure you take a break.

The best Pomodoro Technique timer for iOS. This app gets the essentials of the Pomodoro Technique just right: a series of work/rest timers intended to help you focus on tasks that need to be done, with the pacing forced so you don't end up stuck in yak shaving territory. On top of the excellent timers you get bells and whistles, quite literally. You can choose to have sounds playing during work/rest periods: I like the ticking clock as a persistent reminder of the task at hand, much like a metronome helps musicians keep time. This app works best when you understand what the Pomodoro Technique is trying to achieve. It is a simple, colourful and playful app that helps me focus because I want to keep using it.

Extremely useful. This app is terrific, the one I've stuck with after trying a couple (and buying two, including this one). It helps keep the time, and the daily goal is surprisingly motivating. Nice interface, easy to use and understand. Although most apps of this type function pretty much the same, I particularly enjoy being able to track progress with charts showing you how many you've done in comparison to the past 14 and 30 days on this one. It's nice being able to customise the sound after purchasing the full edition, though it would be nice to be able to set it to play a playlist instead of one specific song over and over again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pomodoro timer app to help keep their work on track!

Would love a better vibration. I bought this app today and it is extremely useful to me for my studies which I do at intervals. However, there's an important caveat. Since I study inside the university library I can't use the alarm sound so I keep my phone in the silent mode and use the vibration option. I request the developers to improve it by making the vibration longer (even better, if the user can choose), it is too short to get noticed. Thanks for the great app.

Love it. This app is great: it is visually attractive and helps you work better. I really enjoy the work habits it has brought me to! I even bought the pro version and I don't regret it; well done to the people at Pomodoro keeper!

Latest version is broken. Timer no longer works when app is running in the background. Will update rating once it is fixed.

One of my key work tools. Works like it's supposed to and as a writer, I use it every day.

Great productivity app. I used trial version for a few days and had to upgrade to full version. Works great and I can customize mu alarms and sounds. Highly recommended.

Great. Does what it says. Flexible. Gets out of the way.

Love it. Great implementation of pomodoroso

Helpful. Like it a lot

Excellent app. This app is a perfect pomodoro app. It had background ticking and alarm when timer is done and it has a gorgeous design that allows you to easily adjust how long the session should be. All in all just great!

Battery hog. Seems to drain the battery quickly for such a small app. Timer doesn't shut off when you exit the app and app has to be force closed.

Great for studying!. I'm actually writing this during a break. Fantastic app that really staves off "The Great Dumb". If you've ever studied for long periods of time, you know exactly what I mean. Anyhow, I've got to get back to studying! Pomadorro on!

Great for studying. I'm a premed and this has been really helpful so far.

Awesome app!. I use it almost everyday. It's simple yet very effective at keeping me grounded in my activities.

Simple & Well Designed. I tried a few Pomodoro apps and found them too complicated and annoying. In addition to the simple here are some other features which I like about this app: - ticking sound helps me focus (I turn it off during the break so I associate ticking with focused work). - Daily goals. It feels good to fulfill my daily Pomodoro quota so that keeps me motivated. - The chart feature helps me keep things in perspective (I never forget about a lazy week that I had and feel good when keeping the numbers up) I hope you like it

Does the job!. This is a nice Pomodoro tracker. It really helps me be more productive. The graphs (daily totals, etc) help keep track of progress, and various aspects of the app (bell sounds, duration, etc) can be customized. My only complain would be that it is somewhat buggy on the iPad: the app does not recognize very well when switching between portrait and landscape modes, and e.g. the timer in landscape mode does not display the current Pomodoro totals, and the plots seem to stop working as well. If these issues are addressed, I would give it 5 stars without hesitation.

Would give a 5 if it was available on Watch. Would give a 5 if it was available on Watch

Great app. Really well-designed and its made me very productive.

I love it !. A must have for any student. It has really help me out with my attention difficulties. I strongly recommand it :)

Almost perfect!. EDIT BELOW THESE PARAGRAPHS! I bought this app after using the free version for a couple of weeks. The full version is super-nice and really does help me keep track on whatever I need to do (the colour changes help too, since I can just look up and see if it's red=work, blue=free time.) However, there is one small issue. I've set different sounds for each type of timer, but every time the timer changes (i.e. from a pomodoro to a 5 minute break), the type of sound is still the same as the previous thing. Like it would still be ticking through my break, even though I set break sounds to "cafeteria". Other than that, great app! Highly recommend this method to anyone who has troubles with time management. I am not back on track as of yet, but this is one of the best strategies I've used to get my life back together. EDIT 12/05/2016: It would be absolutely lovely to have an icloud sync between my iPad and my iPhone, so the timer would start on either device and keep the same information. This way, I won't lose track of my pomodoros as well as keep myself on schedule more (if it's easier, it'll work better). I was thinking something like Apple's native notes software, where if you type and create a note on one device it almost immediately appears on all other devices, so that you can see it live type. If applied to this software I think that it would help me out a lot so I don't need to take my iPad with me on my break- I can just have the timer and alarm on my iPhone. Thanks again!

Enjoyable. Pretty fantastic for studying.

all u need. what more could u want in pomodoro app? maybe a lockscreen view of the timer but thats it

Thumbs up. Good

Great!. I love it. It's perfect. Simple. Visually appealing. Useful. What else could you ask for?

Fantastic App for Getting Things Done. This is the best Pomodoro app that I have come across. Clean and easy to use. And most important... the ticker sounds good. Other apps, the ticker drove me crazy.

Great app, lack of support. I love this app. I really do. However, the last update was never able to install on my iPad and now I cannot use it at all. I don't know if this an app store issue, an iOS issue or an issue with the app itself but having paid for it I want to be able to use it. I attempted to contact the developer but haven't heard any response, so that's what the rating of this app really reflects. The design is nice and the selection of sounds is better than any other of the dozens of similar apps. I would recommend this over others but at the moment I am having a difficult time doing so.

Nice UI, power hog. This has a nice UI and thankful stays to the point with just the right number of customizable options (length if time, sounds - the cat meow never fails to make me jump!) it's a very useful app. It does have a big problem that I hope the developer can improve; power consumption. If I use it for more than 4 hours I'll have a dead battery whereas I normally last the whole day. And that is with the screen off and ticking off. Not sure what can be done but I'm sure iOS provides capabilities.

great!. love the app! losts of customisation and stuff. keep the good work.

Best Pomodoro Timer on iOS. I've tried all of them, this is the best minimalist Pomodoro time on iOS. It's got everything I need and nothing more.

Excellent app. Fantastic app, really improved my productivity in the last 6 weeks since I have it. I tried a few other but this one works better than the others to keep me concentrating and with the timer ON (it quickly turns off for those without a "pause" button - even though one is supposed to "protect" it's pomodoro, we can't stop phone calls and people knocking on the door when we don't use it at home). An improvement suggestion: I'd really like to prepare my pomodoros on a list inside the app (with flexible order to change tasks between blocks even if the main task is not finished) instead of doing it on paper.

Nice App seems to Drain Battery. Good app. Helpful.

BEST APP EVER!!!. Only one actual con, this app is a battery killer for both iPad and especially iPhone, request to the makers of this app to make it use less of my devices' resources and still maintain the currently beauty and simplicity of the app. I previously had the free version for about a year, but now I've upgraded to the $2 one to change sounds and have ticking noise off, while maintain 'alarm' noise on. Thanks to Barbara Oakley who explained the pomodoro technique via her Ted talk to overcome procrastination problems, this app has completely astounding effects on productivity and start-up costs of actually getting started on your workload, by using the ingenious 25/5 system, which actually helps your brain switch between diffuse and focused modes, for an optimal learning experience! Love it, would totally recommend to anyone who wants to STUDY or get their work done proficiently!

Helpful. It's a basic app, but it makes wonders for me. It did increase my efficiency while studying. It helps me keep a tab on my studying.

Super app to keep you going. Works great as a way to stay focussed on my writing. Since incorporating it into my daily work routine my productivity has soared.

Best Pomodoro App BUT.... App is unusable with current update... I use this app every day for my studies. It’s everything that you would want in terms of simplicity and functionality. Definitely worth the 3 or so dollars for the PRO upgrade. The only reason I can’t give this 5 stars is because of the most recent update. This update automatically stops the clock from working in the background, which is beyond frustrating. Please fix this bug.

Powerful brain + over focused?. Yes that's me. I can easily immerse myself into a complicated project for hours at a time all the while unconscious of other responsibilities, commitments and urgencies. 5 minutes of relaxation between 25 minutes of concentration periods makes me more aware of reality. Standing up for 5 minutes, out of my chair is good also.

Stay away. It promises great things. It may even work for awhile. When I ordered a subscription, i had several tasks I wanted to do a day. In the past month, only two tasks remain to choose from cleaning and invoicing. I have no idea what happened to the other one. I try to add a new item and a pop up window says, oh, to add more tasks you need a subscription. When i click on it, a pop up window says you already have a subscription. Then we are in a loop. I can cancel my subscription, but it will expire in October of 2022. This is a terrible app.

Near perfect. Would give 5 stars if the app was available for the watch

used to be great now it doesn’t work. all the behaviors have changed and it no longer works well.

Fantastic app, just one suggestion. This app is great, and by far the best Pomodoro app I've used so far. The only suggestion I have would be adding increased functionality to the notifications center widget by giving you a start/stop button. This would make it easier for you to pause your Pomodoro in the case of an unexpected interruption.

Great study tool. I'm in medical school. It feels like I'm studying for hours everyday. Sometimes, I can lose sense of time though. Studying for 5 min feels like 30, and a 30 min break feels like 5. Just like Einstein explained relativity. So, to make sure I'm not breaking more than I realize, I use this app to keep me honest with myself about how much I'm really in my books. I make the most of my time and am able to better enjoy the free time I have at the end of a productive day.

Has potential, but needs to be thought through more. Focus Keeper Review Focus Keeper is close to being a great app, it’s just too buggy and not thought through enough to be an everyday app for most Pomodoro technique practitioners. Positive first: the interface is beautiful, very clean, a gorgeous app to look at, and having a session automatically leading into a break leading into a session is great, that has really helped keep my break times to a minimum. But usage needs to be more thought out. For example, making a simple audio change like when I’m listening to a podcast during my session (I want ticking off) or working at my computer (I want ticking on) takes 7 button presses! This is way too many. Also, a bug: Focus Keeper is supposed to reset the number of sessions you’ve done so far each day, and indeed the first time you use it each day it asks if you’d like to reset, but it usually ignores your response (hasn’t reset 4/5 days so far). Per Pomodoro “rules” Focus Keeper has long breaks built in, which is really cool, but it doesn’t let you skip them. I sometimes pause a long break because the time on long breaks varies for me, and when I resume I just want to skip it and go to my session. If I do that it will come up again after my next session, and again after the next, and so on, until I actually fulfill a long session. It got so annoying that I finally deactivated that feature (by making a “round” which is usually 4 sessions, something long, like 30 so it doesn’t come up). Overall, this app feels like it’s about 80% thought through. It definitely needs to smooth its rough edges, but once it does I think it’ll be a killer app for people who use the Pomodoro system.

Phenomenal. Excellent app. The pomodoro technique has been the best time-management technique I have ever used, and this app is my favorite towards that end (I tried several, and this is the one that stuck). Would like the option for statistics that go further back (a permanent history that doesn't reset every 30 days) but thats minor

Helps me be productive. I haven't read about the Pomodoro system at all, but this app makes me much more productive. It take a big section of unscheduled time & breaks it into little chunks of work time that I can handle. 8 hours of studying or writing seems insurmountable, but 25 minutes I can do. And once I start, I'm usually on a roll. And the app reminds me to take breaks once I am on that roll, so I don't burnout. And I like that the app is adjustable - different sounds for productive time & break time; lengths of time. Great app.

Excellent productivity helper!. I've used various Pomodoro timer apps (many desktop apps) and this app gets it almost perfect between the extremes of "doesn't have enough features" and "tries to do too much and doesn't it do it well." The basic, critical functionality is there, with the timers that automatically (unless paused) go from work to break and back (and long breaks when appropriate), and the ability to use background timer noises (simple tick, cafe noise, etc.) optionally, are great extra features. Also, the notifications are critical reminders that are a must for me, because while I usually have the elegant Pomodoro screen on my iPhone visible, I sometimes do need to use my phone for something else and can forget to go back to the app. Controls on the main screen during a timed period are also simple and elegant, and I love that I can set the color for different kinds of sessions (work vs break vs long break) because I actually use this app to replace another "color" system I had in place that allows my colleagues to see when I am doing critical work. All in all, an excellent productivity app.

Beautiful & Customizable. So many choices for the timer sounds, color and time limits. Easy to customize too! I especially like how you can see your progress and how you compare to past days or month.

Helps me focus. When it comes down to the end and I can't procrastinate any more, or when I'm feeling distracted this app is a lifesaver. I set the timers for work and rest and have gentle auditory reminders to stay on task. The new version is improved by the option for different volumes of alarms/ticking, easier round reset. Love this app.

By far the best. This app is just what it needs to be, and it looks beautiful. Very happy with my purchase. One of the key features for me is the ability to change the duration of pomodoros and breaks on the fly. I use this to skip breaks every once in a while when I'm "in the zone" and still maintain an accurate record of how long I've worked. Then I can add extra time to a later break if I want.

Great, except.... I've been using this app for almost a week now and really liking it--to the extent that I'm pretty heavily reliant on it. During my last Focus time, though, I brushed against the screen, inadvertently moving the time slider. The timer stopped. When I realized (a few minutes later) what had happened, I reset the Focus timer to my best guess of how much time I had left in that Pomodoro and restarted it. At the end of that time, though, the Focus timer reset to the amount of time I'd just input and stopped. As best I can tell, I now have no way of getting back to the place in my day where I was before I bumped the timer. The chart shows the number of Pomodoros I completed already, but in terms of my daily progress through the timer, I'm starting from scratch. Which is a pretty big bummer.

Does What I Need. I appreciate the ability to have different timer sounds for breaks and productive periods. Many Pomodoro apps lack this, making them confusing to use if you're only relying on the audible cues.

Easy to use. Love this - keeps me on track with work and not bouncing from idea to idea! Highly recommend for anyone who feels like they are easily distracted from work.

This is the update I've been waiting for!. I hated the ticking noise so I kept everything on mute. But now that I can adjust the volume of each alarms separately I can finally use the alarms.

Love it but it's a battery hog!. This app is great but it drains the battery of my iPhone 6 Plus in less than 3 hours of use. I hope this issue will be fixed in an upcoming release because otherwise it's not really useable.

Abandoned. No iPhone X support 🤔

Love it.. Great app. Yes, you can use any timer, but who doesn't want little red tomatoes keeping track of productivity? One downside is it saps my battery pretty quickly. Also, wish I could see stats for 6 months to a year prior. But those are minor. I love using this app.

Elegant. This is my favorite interpretation of the Pomodoro technique thus far. It's simple and elegant. Aside from a bug in which the app keeps asking me if I want to reset my Pomodoros at midnight, and the ability to reset Pomodoro's while in landscape, this app is feature complete.

Functional, sleek timer. You can set this pomodoro timer with colors and sound you want. It will sequence work sessions and breaks to your specifications. It's default color--bright red--didn't do it for me, but you can change it up quickly.

Best. Best

Love the app!. I love this app and use it almost everyday! It tracks your stats which is helpful for monitoring your progress, and now you can view your time remaining from the home screen. If there was a way to see the timer on your lock screen it would be perfect!

very helpful. makes me a lot more productive. would be better if I could get a vibration notification of a time change even if my phone is on do not disturb so I can use it without bothering people in quiet libraries.

Useful App!. This app helps you stay on track when you're studying and has a lot of adjustable options, such as time length and break lengths.

Does not sync. Maybe it's me - somehow I read online that if I paid the upgrade $1.99 for this app that it would sync with all your other devices. I'm deleting this because it only works on one device at a time i.e. if you set it on one device it will not activate and sync with the others. I know it's only a $1.99 loss - but I could have spent that money on other Pomodoro apps that did sync!

Awesome Free app, but Pro version worth it.. Love this app. It has a very simple main interface that encourages focus. But there's tons of customization options in the settings menu. From the colors of the app to the sounds that the timers and alarms make. I also appreciate the fact that it has a widget. It's a great app-full featured, reliable, and a huge productivity booster.

Works really well. It's been a solid app to keep me on track, it's a pretty simple app, but it's designed well, and aesthetically pleasing so that's nice. The addition of the new sounds in the update really propel the app though, definitely going to make me use it more.

Great app!. Changed my life! However, there is room for improvement: I wear headphones while working (I do video editing) and sometimes I can't hear the alarm. Please make it louder and give me the ability to extend the duration of the alarm. Then I will give it 5 stars!

Best of Pomodoro apps!!!. I've tried other apps and this one works the best for me. I can finally turn off the ticking on my break and change the sounds, without disrupting anything.

I really like it!. I agree with other commenters: this app is a great blend of features and ease of use. I wish the circular timer occupied more screen real-estate (as Tinker does with aplomb), but I find myself using this app so often! And the sound options are great, too!

Well done and boosted my productivity. I had not heard of the Pomodoro concept before reading a book about improving productivity for people in my profession. A 10 minute overview was enough to get me looking for an app and trying this one. Several apps do this but what made this the "must have" choice for me is that I can replace the ticking with music. My music of choice to work to is either the sound of a thunderstorm or waves rolling in on the beach. I don't see other Pomodoro apps offering to let me choose from "music" in my iTunes library like this one does. this is a total win for me.

My productivity has skyrocketed!. Been trying a lot of different approaches, reading a number of books, but the Pomodoro Technique is the simplest to implement and starts working right away. Of course, you can just use any timer, but this app was actually the quickest way for me. It is simple and to the point; plus, it keeps a record of how many Pomodoros you do every day. Also recommend reading Francesco Cirillo's book to learn more about the technique.

Awesome!. Im studying my MCAT and science courses. This keeps me on my A game and hyper organized! It's amazing! I love that you can have coffee shop chatter for studying; it's great for when you're making coffee at home and need the coffehouse "vibe". I wish there were other sounds like rain or whatever but its so worth the money! I'd love to say more but I gotta study. :)

Sleek And Helpful. This app has a beautiful, highly intuitive interface. I wish it would allow the user to choose the screen orientation, though.

Poor resizing in landscape mode on iPad. The bottom bar disappears.

Clean unobtrusive interface. I've tried many different Pomodoro apps. This one is my current favorite. It's easy to use, easy on the eyes, and gets the job done.

Over 2 years without updates. No iPhone X support and it appears to be abandoned by the developer.

Helpful App. This productivity timer is simple, sleek, and functional. My favorite feature is the goal counter, which allows you to set a goal for how many rounds you will complete with the pomodoro each day--seeing the number creep up provides great motivation. Everything you would want to customize is customizable here. Well worth the price!

Best pomodoro app. I tried bunch of pomodoro apps but always returned to this one. It has a simple intuitive interface, some good ticking sounds and other useful options like charts and pause function.

Favorite Pomodoro app by far!. Best pomo app ive seen so far. I love all of the options! The only change I would suggest is making the pomo/metrics/options tab more easily accessible.. It took a little bit of exploring to find that one. Great otherwise!

PERFECT!!!. This is truly the perfect Pomodoro app. It had some bugs earlier, but the developer was responsive and resolved them quickly. Works perfectly and is wonderfully customizable. Thanks devs!

A notch above the rest. Great for time tracking. I found other similar apps to either be too pared down to the point of frustration or too complicated to bother using, but this one is the perfect balance. Really enjoy customizing the alarm break sounds.

Great app. What I always wanted and needed: 2~3 Akeem timers ruining in an alternating loop to help my work and rest. But the best part is its highly customizable sound settings. The volume and tone of each type is adjustable so that it beeps loud and ticks quite, or helps rest in waves and work in cafe. Whatever you want.

Terrific!. Update: as another reviewer said, this app is a serious battery hog. Please fix, so I can restore the rating to 5 stars. Original review: Beautiful design with just the right options to tweak. I asked the developer to allow us to adjust the default pomodoro length by 1 min increments, and he came through! The widget is a great addition. Highly recommended.

Amazing app for getting things done.. Been using for almost a month now. Tried many pomodoro apps and finally settled. It's great to have tracking option to motivate myself. Really helps me keep things in perspective.

Fantastic App. Everyone especially university students should use this app. If they would turn off their phone while focusing they would be so productive.

Nice Design, One Issue. I really like the app so far. My main issue with it is that I listen to music and podcasts while I work, and the app stops my music when I switch back to the app. Can this be fixed so it doesn't turn off outside audio?

Almost Perfect. Great looking app and very easy to customize. My only complaint is that the vibration is a bit too short. Since I work with my phone I silent mode this means sometimes I will miss the vibration and work past the end of my pomodoro. If the author can fix this issue I'll upgrade to 5 stars.

Love this app. Simple to use app but very powerful

Best paid app. I have a hard time keeping focused for long periods of time. This allows me to power through because I know a break is on its way.

Excellent but missing iWatch. This appears to be the best designed pomodoro timer available. Excellent user interface. One thing missing is an connected Apple Watch app, which I have found invaluable in other pomodoro timers.
