Does not work.... This air purifier controlled by my smartphone seemed like a great idea. We have numerous other devices in the house controlled by apps and love how they work. This is not one of them. The smaller issue is that this is a Bluetooth device, and not WiFi. So no controlling the device from work - proximity only. The bigger issue is that after 5 days of working well the app has stopped functioning. Every time I try to open the app it flashes for a second then disappears. So I paid for a Bluetooth unit and now have a manual unit. Fix the App Guys!!!

App is useless - save your $$ go manual not Bluetooth. The app does not work, at all, on my iPhone. It’s 4 years old, so not a huge surprise. Bluetooth is on, but the app can’t find it, and literally every attempt at navigation yields the annoying “whoops, our bad” error. Not cute. Love Honeywell/Kaz products, but this is a bummer.

App needs updating. Fix the dead links please.... should make ordering filters a breeze, but not if the links don’t work!! Also, says not connected... could be out of range but my other BT products wouldn’t be at this distance

Great features...if they worked. I love the convenience and features of the app. However, like much more dated posts, the schedule doesn’t work for anything that crosses a date boundary - firmware issue? But no way to update it. Also Allergen Auto-Set doesn’t seem to be linked to Allergy Alert preferences.

A useful app with a HUGE flaw. Why can't I enable multiple schedules at the same time? I want this thing to run on low at night and a higher speed during the day. I can't do that. Also, the proximity feature would be useful if you let me select whether to turn the unit on or off when out of Bluetooth range. I would also like to be able to make it run at a higher speed when I am out of range. Again, I can't do any of that. Also, when I override the schedule, as in selecting a higher speed, it disables the schedule selected. That's dumb. Please go back to the drawing board with this app.

I wish it had an update. Would there be any possiblity to have the app be programmed twice a day rather than just once? I might want the purifier to run on high during the day, but at night at a quieter speed. Right now it is just one setting for the day. Since the app is controlled by the smartphone it could be worked that way. It would be a great help.

An app for my air purifier - love it!. Love the bonus allergen auto-set feature you get with this app - set it to monitor pollen levels in my area and it automatically runs the air purifier on the best setting! Great app - great product!

It works!!!. After a week of trying to connect this app to my IPhone it actually works. You first have to press the Bluetooth button on the air purifier, then press CONNECT on your phone, finally And most importantly hold down the Bluetooth bottom on the air purifier. Simply pressing the Bluetooth button will not work.

App not working. Hello, Obviously by the reviews and customer ratings, the developer needs to look into restructuring the app. None of the links with the app are accurate. Every time I click on the link within the app, it says it can’t display the page. My filter needed to be changed and the app showed it was still green. Consumers paid a lot of money for this machine. We expect our money worth.

About as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Somewhat useful, very pretty app. The company that developed this for Kaz, did their job, and fairly well at that. Sadly, ever since iOS 9, it doesn't work AT ALL. Just flashes briefly on the screen, then closes. This is the sign of a company that outsourced their software, and then sat back, waiting for the revenue to flow in. I bet they haven't even realized the software they paid an outside company for, and therefore cannot possibly hope to support, no longer works. Yeah, that. Do NOT buy this air cleaner based on the software, as it does not function, and was clearly an after thought that is not being properly maintained.

Air purifier. The app does not work. Air purifier seems to be working great but will not connect to the app. The app crashes 90% of the time I try to open it. Disappointing :/

OSX App. Please would you publish a simple OSX app to do the same? I have no iPhone and would like for my desktop to be able to control the purifier for example setting it to the appropriate level depending on local conditions even while I am not at home. Also I have 2 of these purifiers so please let it support multiple purifiers.

Best Buy scam. Bought 3 of these from Best Buy and the filter pack they had next to it. Why in the world would there be a kit with an inferior filter set? Scammed by both Honeywell and Worst Buy. It’s not the filter set actually included with the unit. Once you finally need the recharge kit and realize they screwed you out of buying the correct thing, it’s too late to return or exchange so go spend more money. And you have to cut the prefilters which is stupid and part of the ripoff. So sick of dishonest companies. And where are the app updates? Once a year? Can’t get connected anymore. What a joke.

Crashes often. Great idea and concept. When it works it's great but often when you try to open it the app crashes and is useless.

So far it's a failure. App doesn't even open, just crashes and asks to use my location, so far it's a complete failure, big disappointment

Please fix app. Only connects to the unit half the time. App needs a major update.

A complete waste of space on your mobile device. First off, every single search on Google, and on the Honeywell site for instructions on pairing was a wild goose chase. You pull up the owners manual for the HPA8350B, and you’ll get plenty of information on the operation of the purifier EXCEPT how to operate the Bluetooth function. And why should I complain about that? Because the two air filters I have constantly unpair with the app forcing me to constantly repeat the pairing process. Also, you better be within 30 feet or less of a purifier or you have no connection with it. You might as well resign yourself to manually controlling the purifier or suffer the frustration of your wasted time trying to get the app to perform reliably. Honeywell? Fire your apps development department and save yourself some salary costs.

App needs work. Schedule feature has numerous bugs. Schedule automatically turns off. Can’t have numerous schedules. Please address...

Apps worth downloading and using but. All the links don’t work. Cant reset air filter once I’ve replaced it. I’ll change my rating once these are fixed. Should be a simple fix too.

App useless. None of the links worked on the app, 404 error messages on all of them. Can’t order filters or read the manual. I realize this is Bluetooth, and is limited in its capabilities as opposed to Wi-Fi. Bought a Winix unit at Cosco, Wi-Fi, great functionality and very quiet. Scheduling on the Honeywell is terrible! Come on Honeywell, you are the industry standard in the air business for years. You are way better than this product.

Schedule. I wish there was a way to add more schedules for different days and different times of the year so you don’t have to change the whole schedule for when it comes (for example) fall season you would like a different schedule but you don’t want to change the whole thing every year.

Why would it?. Work for another brand? Cant believe some people can be that slow

Doesn't work with iOS 9. After upgrading to iOS 9, the app will crash when Bluetooth is enabled. Please fix.

Crashes. I have had my purifier for just over a month and now the machine shuts off in the middle of the night and the app won't even open. Anyone else having issues with the app crashing?

This is cool as hell. You can just sit on your couch and turn it on and off, also can set a schedule for it to run on a daily basis, I set mine from 4pm -6pm so when I get home my living smells fresh. It also tells you what condition your filters are in, super cool!! Nice job Honeywell.

Bluetooth Issues. Bluetooth used to connect and remain connected no matter where I was in my home, but since the most recent update, the connection drops all the time. It’s a pain. Bluetooth is on, on the app, and there are still issues. Wouldn’t recommend until they return the app to normal.

Schedule doesn’t work. I’ve set up both week day and weekend schedules, but it does not work at all. It won’t turn on or off based on the schedule set, even after many attempts to setup.

Scheduling bug/flaw. Works fine for me with one major exception. You can't schedule the unit for overnight operation. You can have it turn on, say, at 7am and off at 7pm. But you cannot have it turn on at 7pm and off at 7am. Clearly some amateurs involved in the app programming; I guess that was too difficult for them. Glad I got this unit for a good discount on Prime Day. Update - looks like they fixed the scheduling piece. Will see how it works in practice. But now I'm getting daily alerts even though I only have "high" level alerts set.

Timer fails at midnight. Major BUG. The timer is fine if you set it for 7am - 7pm. It fails however, if you set it for 7pm - 7am or any other setting that goes past midnight. Very annoying. This should be a really easy thing to fix.

Sorry if I missed this.. Can you have two people download the app and run the air purifier?

Honeywell air cleaner HPA250B. Why did my air cleaner disconnect from my I Phone ? Today’s date is 04/16/20

App has dead links. When you push a button to get to the user manual the app shows a 404 “can’t find the webpage” error. Other links in the app don’t work either.

Horrible app. As someone else said. You cannot schedule to go thru the night. If you schedule from 7pm - 1159pm it works. If you schedule 7pm -5am it doesn’t work. Won’t schedule past midnight. The app needs a lot of work!&

App Crashes after iOS 9 upgrade. I have used this app for about 4 months with no problem. Now the App Crashes after the iOS 9 upgrade. After repeated tries to open the app it sometimes comes on, but does not connect to the air purifier. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP!!!

New Filters. I replaced the Hepa filters and the app shows I still need to replace. I tried replacing again, downloaded the app again and nothing works. The indicator on the machine shows it is ok, but this makes the app useless!

HP250. App will constantly lose connection over time using either iPhone or iPad. Very frustrating!

Great idea BUT it isn't good. I was really excited when I found out I can program a schedule from the app and turn on the air purifier as I please. However, the range from the app to the device is rather short considering that it's linked via Bluetooth. And every time I open the app a pop-up appears saying "the schedule has been changed". This is quite frustrating as the schedule does not run at the times on the days which it is set. Nor are you able to run more than one schedule (which again defeats the purpose if you do require to run the device more than once a day) if you are able to run it at all. I love the idea of the app, but it is pointless. You might as well walk to the machine and turn it on and off as desired versus relying on this app to purify the air in your home.

Needs an update ASAP. Added a new filter and it didn’t really change on the app... 😡 Otherwise app works good

Why not homekit?. The app is ok. It controls settings, tells how much filter life left. Scheduling basically doesn’t work reliably. Doesn’t handle multiple purifiers well. Don’t need the shopping tools. Would be so much better if these products integrated into HomeKit. VOCOinc purifier has HomeKit.

Yup 100% works & offer expected functionality. The beauty of the app is its simplicity in that it lets you control all the same buttons that are on the air purifier by first connecting via Bluetooth and then using the app. As a bonus the app gives you consistently the same insight into filter life that you obtain by looking at the physical colour light indicators on the purifier. Aside from pressing the Bluetooth button on the physical device, you’ll never need to get off the couch to get the purifier working!

Great hands free app. This app works great as a remote and is very convenient being on your phone. It would be perfect if the app provided some detailed information and stats like a chart from the information the voc sensor collects. Albeit may not be possible but one can always hope, maybe in a future update? Over the app provide some convenience! 👍🏻

Doesn’t turn on. The schedule doesn’t work if you put your phone on airplane mode.

no access to manuals, filter purchases, or other honeywell information. Daily functions remain ok, but trying to navigate to honeywell air purifier information such as manuals, quick setup and filter purchases just takes you to a useless Vicks product website. Needs a serious update.

App needs an upgrade. I replaced my HEPA filter & prefilter but the App shows red (replace) on my prefilter setting & won’t reset on the app even though there is no replace light showing on the unit. I tried over & over to reset and followed every instruction possible so I know its the App. It also frequently loses the bluetooth connection on one or both of my units. Most of the additional information the app provides (in the More section) like the necessary manual, quickstart guide or registering your product for the warranty leads to a “page not found” notice. Really? Is your company even operating still?

OK for basic information. None of the functions, such as links to where you can buy filters, work. I am in Canada. None of the “More” options work. Seriously needs updates. No help from Honeywell itself. Back to finding the filters the old- fashioned way (Best Buy Canada)
