A bit complicated. I bought this for my 3 year old & she loves the monsters & feeding them, but after the tooth brushing it gets a bit too much for her. She has learned that she can change their eyes & mouths. There is just too much stuff that she can "add" to them.

Worth 5 stars. Yes you CAN customize the monster. First you pick the face. Then you can individually "tear" off each eye, mouth, and horns to customize. I think it's worth paying for. Only request is to cut down how long it takes to clean teeth for the little ones.

Sago mini is AWESOME!. I think this game is artsy and you take care of your creation it's like a cute Frankenstein except its in a screen and won't attack you it's really fun and don't take the thing about Frankenstein the wrong way it's a great way to learn responsibility

Unbelievably bad. I've got get a refund for this. It isn't worth paying for at all. You have about 4 monsters that come with a blank slate. You're first option is to add one of five colors. That's it! After you color your monster, you click a check mark and the monster is already filled in with it's eyes, mouth and ears. No options to customize this. Then you only have about a dozen items like a band-aid, a bow, flower and pretty much all you see in the screenshots. That's it. After 5 minutes my 3 year old got totally bored and I'm getting ready to delete the app. I will never buy an app from Sago Sago. These other reviews have to be fake. There's no way anyone could like this. Stay away and save your money!!

Adorable app!. Loved this app! My baby is 17 months and play by herself this specifically app. She loves how the monsters sounds when she touches their eyes and mouth. It's adorable to see her play!

2 year old loves it. My two year old daughter loves this app. The idea is simple, color the monster, feed him, brush his teeth, then decorate him. It's cute, easy to use, and she doesn't get frustrated.

Unbelievably bad?!. How can this be unbelievably bad? That review said that the eyes and mouth and horns were on it, but you can get them out and make others appear. You feed the monster, brush its teeth, and on the customization screen there are tons of accessories to add. How can this be boring when even I, a twelve year old like it?

Amazing app for kids!. My nephew LOVES this game and does not want to put it down! He loves feeding the monsters and then brushing their teeth (which is also a great to stress to kids about brushing their teeth!). It is tons of fun and I highly recommend it for kids who loves monsters and Halloween!

Great toddler app!!. It's hard to find apps that actually turn out fun & easy to use for toddlers. They always have ads or "parent buttons" that make my toddler frustrated web she's trying to play. Not this one!! It's great! She loves making the monsters and feeding them :) We will be downloading many more Sago apps!

Kid loves it. Simple. I wish there was more to it...different foods to eat - more shapes...something.... But enough about me-- our 2.5 year old granddaughter loves it. This child has a huge vocabulary, knows her way around an IPAD, plays sophisticated games for her age..but it had her at 'hello'-- she plays it over and over and over and over. ...kept her busy during a long restaurant delay after a tiring 'Black Friday'

Simple but fun. I reviewed with 4 stars earlier and I'm updating to 5 now. I appreciate the structure of the game much more after using other sago mini games. There's no educational material and the activities are repetitive, but the simple customization options give kids unlimited design potential. Get three kids around the iPad watching each other create monsters and they will all scream to go next and see what THEY can do. Great for a keep-em-busy restaurant game or to relax before bed. Adorable as all sago games are.

Toddler loves it. My two year old loves this game, I just wish it didn’t have holiday themes. We don’t celebrate and since it’s December now I would expect the Halloween theme to be gone, but I guess not. 🤔

Great app except for. My grandson and great nieces love this app except suddenly the coloring/drawing part won't work anymore. The upper left quadrant just flashes when they try to draw in the first part of the game. Other than that, it is so fun. The little ones do get tired of brushing his teeth but they like the burp that preceeds it. This is the first app they want to play when I let them use my phone so would appreciate an update to fix this little glitch. Thanks!

Grandson LOVES this app!. My 2.5 year old grandson loves this app. He is able to open it, create the monster to his liking then "brushy, brushy, brushy" his monsters teeth after he feeds it. He can also take a picture of his creation to send to mommy and daddy. From another review they said, "it's not so much that it overloads a toddler" and I fully agree? I recommend this app!!

Fix the game, please. We can't get the game to play after choosing the monster. Once chosen, you go to color and the game freezes in a quarter-screen block of color. I can't update it. Help!

Our favorite app yet!. This thing is wonderful. I have a very intelligent 2 and a half year old daughter. I got this app because there are no pop up advertisements at all! This app is safe for us parents and we can feel the comfort in knowing they aren't doing anything other than playing that game. You get different monsters to choose from and you wake them from the slime and then you can color any way you want and then it gets a face. There are things you can add to the monster but my curious toddler figured out that you could change the eyes, mouth and horns by simply clicking them and pulling it off the monster and a new one appears. When you do anything touching these silly monsters, they make funny sounds and then my daughter mimics and its so funny. These monsters even make me laugh and I have fun trying new creations. This app doesn't have any problems with functionality. Everything works great and it's not frustrating at all like some apps can be. The green slime that the monster lives in, bubble up wherever you touch it :) so simple but so fun! I am a very picky mom and with these apps especially and I will delete right away. I just had to rate and comment this because no one has yet and it's fantastic!

Good. Fun for kids but could use more variety in the decorations. It is nice the food alternates, have some alternative in the decorations as well instead of the same each time.

Great App. My son loves playing with this app. I love this app because my son has Apraxia of speech and I am able to sneak in words (ie. mouth, eyes, teeth etc.) and have him repeat me while he is busy playing. He doesn't even realize he is working while playing.

So fun!. Love it! I had this same game on my iPad when I was little and it was so fun I downloaded it on my phone now! But I think it would be much better if there was a green color too:( But It’s a great app!

😜😝. This is awesome! But I wish that the monsters would have a little more to do other than be in a bunch of goo and eating and brushing their teeth. Maybe they can have hair and get a hair cut? Or go shopping for clothes that are free no stupid upgrades just have a picture of a shirt and have them press it and say buy yes or no and it won't cost them anything at all ..... Just a thought. But anyways the game is for little kids and I am 21 and I still play it.

Grandsons love it!. The 2 year old loves monsters and car trip, the 4 year old does also. I think it says a lot about an app that can be enjoyed by both kids! Thank you, keep up the good work. It's a shame more kid apps can't be free!!

Pls add new stuff. U should add new stuff to this. Like make a baby monster, or new colors. U can also make like a mini monster world. Why not make some new ideas? Goes by quickly if not.... Here r some that u can if u want to put new: Wash monster when playing Feed monster either restaurant or cafe Customize monster, like how many eyes they want on there monster Create baby monsters, if u want to breed

Love love love this app!!. My son absolutely loves this app! We have a lot of fun playing it together! And they have the absolute best customer service!! For the review that I read about a glitch in the software, if you simply contact Sago customer service they will be happy to fix whatever the problem is. They are awesome!

2 year old loves this app. We're mostly against screen time in our family but we've downloaded a couple apps for our two year old to learn on because we realize tablets will be learning devices by the time he's school aged. The sago mini Monster app is one we downloaded just for fun and to work on his coordination with the device. He love love loves this app. And my husband and I like that while there is animation, it's not too flashy or crazy. The design is simple and cute. The game allows him to use his imagination a bit and color too. So for now, this app is the perfect "fun" app to allow him to play with.

Silly. My son is three and thinks it's silly. He giggles for 20 minutes with these monsters. The only thing he needs help with is the brushing the teeth. Otherwise he loves it and it's easy for him to navigate on his own, which I love!

Not worth 3$. I understand this is for children but my 3 year old little sister played this for 5 minutes and got upset at me because she says it was just like the free app when you dress up the animals... it's the same concept... I want my money back so I can buy a different one please

Flashes when coloring. So the app is basic, but my kid likes it. The problem is that when she first colors the monster the screen flashes black and back again as she colors. Like a strobe light. Once last that screen it’s normal again. I hope the glitch gets fixed ASAP.

Love Sago!. This app is great. ALL the Sago Mini games are great. You just can't go wrong with them for little kiddos. They've achieved a perfect balance of little kid humor and educational benefit (coordination, following a pattern, creativity) that makes their apps perfect.

Great app with annoying oversight. My 3-year-old loves and requests this app but I cringe at this because I know it will lead to frustration for both of us. The app itself works great, except for the fact that it doesn't work, at all, once I enable the "guided access" iOS function that disables the home button and gesture functions (4-finger swipe to switch apps specifically). Therefore we are constantly having to switch back from an app that was swiped to inadvertently, among other related hiccups. Please fix!!

Monsters. My 2 year-old daughter loves this app so much that she is crying for me to stop writing this review so she can play monsters.

Great game for young children and imaginative adults. Anyone who gave this app a low count clearly doesn't understand that 1, it's made for very young kids and 2, it's all about a little guided imagination. This super fun and let's your create an endless amount of monsters which you can collect via photographs.

Needs more. This game is super cute and fun but I think that it needs at little more... Like more colors when your decorating the monster and maybe some more accessories. Another thing is I think there should be more to do with it besides feed it and brush its teeth, but other then that great game!

Polished. My kid loves it and immediate figured out what to do. She loved the bug builder one so this is like an improved version of that. There are no IAPs or annoying popups that ruin some toddler targeted apps.

2 year old brushes teeth like a monster. My daughter played this game from years 1 to 2 and she loves it. Very creative. Perfect replay value for her. Also great teaching moment for her to brush like a monster.

Only thing my 2 year old will sit still for. My son adores this app! He is not a tv/ipad kid by far but this particular app holds his attention for long periods of time. All while developing his sense of wonder and imagination. Love it!!!

So cute!. Truly adorable app that is perfect for toddlers/preschoolers. Very difficult for them to access the parent parts, very easy to do and continue on their own. Great for keeping them a little busy while mommy gets things done around the house. Recommending to all my mom friends!

Not much to it. My 3 year old and I played it for about 10 minutes before realizing there's not very much to do and it's very repetitive. He wasn't interested in it after that. It was well made, but for $2.99 I really expected more content.

Not Unbelievably Bad!. To the person that said this was horrible and gave it one star, I don't know what planet you or your child live on, but this is an amazing game targeted for toddlers. The interface is simple enough that my daughter picked up on it right away, the colors are bright, there aren't so many options as to be overwhelming to a toddler. This is amazing work, and you are wrong. I would recommend this game.

Adorably cute!!. This app as well as all of sago minis are a must have. My daughter plays them all the time and she is 3. As some people have stated there is not much into bit look at the market they are trying to reach. Toddlers. Have to keep it simple..clean...any more and the toddler gets overwhelmed! Duh.

Fun game. The one thing that could be better is instead of taking the eyes out, just tap them because ripping them out is gross.

Loved it!. I downloaded this game when my daughter was 2. She absolutely loved it. She caught on really quick, it's easy to play, and made her laugh lots.

Error with colouring. It used to work great, my 3 year old niece loves it. But now the colouring of the monster doesn't work. The background flashes when she tried to colour. Please fix it.

They see the app work through a child's eye. Each game offers any age user a ton of discovery, creativity, and imagination! The entire series of sago apps are our household favs. We have over 800 apps & they're still in top five. I think they will continue to be in years to come. Keep up the great work guys! Worth every penny for childrens apps!

More than I expected. My 4 yr old has had this for a few weeks and like all the Sago Mini apps he's more and more in love with it. The monsters are completely animated and respond to whatever you do, even teasing.

I think it would be even better if once they made the monster there was more interactivity with it. Once you make it there's not much else to do except make another one (which the kids are still excited to do).

Fantastic for Toddlers and Preschoolers. This is a great little game. There are lots of options for customizing the monster heads, but not so many that young ones become overwhelmed. Kids can choose which foods to feed or not feed their monster, which I think is pretty cool. It actually got my 4-year-old son and I talking about things like healthy choices vs. unhealthy ones, the fact that different animals eat different foods and even concepts like herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. My son loves deciding whether his newest monster will be an herbivore, "pastavore," "trashivore," etc. The game is icky enough to really appeal to little kids, but not so icky that it's gross or inappropriate. It's a very silly, cartoonish, toddler-friendly kind of icky. Part of the fun of picking the monster's features is that you have to pull off a horn or eye, which are attached by silly green goo, in order to change it. My son will continuously pop eyes and mouths off the monster for ages just for the sheer fun of popping them off. My favorite aspect is being able to actually color the monsters. I was expecting to just be able to pick one solid color, but was pleasantly surprised to find that you can scribble on it in any way you want. Allows for a lot of room for creativity and helps hone those fine motor skills. I highly recommend this game for little ones. It's especially handy in situations where you need to distract your kid for a little bit. It's the first game I open for him if we're stuck waiting in a doctor's office or something and he's getting restless.
