good. but could be better. I've had it change stuff that didn't make sense. it also keeps glitching as I try to scroll down. besides that. I like how I canyon read to you. makes looking for mistakes easier also, I understand you want us to review the app. but a reminder ever 3 minutes is a bit much, that alone deserved to lose a star. give me a chance to even use the app. its comands are really sensitive. if i touch the screen wrong it starts scanning everything again. gets a bit annoying,

The Only Text To Speech I Use. Ginger is the first text to speech app that I actually use. The deal breaker for all the others? They ignore punctiation and sound like a single never ending run on sentence. This makes Ginger understandable. She mispronounces some words. The way she pronounces "detention" is strange. Sometime she pronounces words like "read" wrong for the context. These errors are rare and do not make the app unusable. I find it very annoying that when I hit my power button and put my phone in my pocket, Ginger stops speaking. I believe this prroblem comes from Apple's iOS rather than the app. I have Syri set to a male voice, because a female seems so misogynistic. Ginger offer's no choice, but she is the only text to speech app I understand, so I keep her.

Great. This app is great and I used this most of the time when I write to my friends, sites and work plus the added bonus of this one time payment. This doesn’t have capability to piggyback on your text, FB, tweeter, Instagram when your writing something. It’s not like other grammar checker they can piggyback I’m your text and check while your typing and giving suggestions. If you write you need to open the app and write there then you copy and paste from the app to the place you want to to post your messages. It’s a time consuming since most of us are writing on the spot. But if you don’t mind doing this it’s a great app. To the developers please update your app. I hope you can do the same like grammarly piggybacking in the text.

Great App! Feature Request.... First, this app is extremely handy. That said, it needs a way to remove the translate panel. I use this app in “half screen” mode a lot when editing large documents, the problem is, the translate panel just takes up too much space and it makes the app less usable. If a setting could be added to disable the translation panel, that would be an EXTREMELY big help. Of note, I am not sure I have ever needed the app to translate something, in fact, that feature was a bit of a surprise. Sure, I suppose it could be helpful in some circumstances, but I am not sure how many people editing a document are going to need a translator. Thus, having the option to hide it seems like a natural one. Other than that, this app is really quite good at what it does, and it has become an indispensable tool in my workflow.

Annoying and Buggy App!!!!. Seems to close and freeze whenever it wants since the most recent update (running iOS 10.3.3 on iPhone 7 Plus 256gb). Also REALLY ANNOYING to consistently get pop-ups asking me to rate the app!! I paid for a full version app with NO ADS!! That should INCLUDE ads for YOUR company! If I want to review the app at any time, I will give a review. I try to avoid leaving negative and horrible reviews of apps if possible. I wait and give developers time to update and solve the problems with their app, until there is something nice to say about it! But since your stupid pop-ups refuse leave me alone unless I give a review, here is your review. I hope you enjoy it!

I think I like it. I so far like it! I’m seems to be a lot easier to use than what I thought in the reviews seem pretty great so if you’re looking for something like this I suggest trying it it does a lot more than just some grammar. It helps you improve your writing!

Faulty, buggy, autocorrects words into gibberish, jumps curser around and infuriating to use. What a waste of time. I've used ginger for a while and tried working around the bus that would randomly shift where my curser is typing. Then trying to edit anything is impossible. It's seriously buggy and there's no way to disable the autocorrect as you type function. Inexplicably, there are no settings that can me modified at all, even though there's a settings menu. I'm very disappointed in this app. I tried using it but would often get very frustrated as it turned what I'm typing into something a jumbled mess that I can't easily correct. It will autocomplete a word as I'm typing it, then autocorrect the second part of the word that I kept typing into something completely wrong. How anyone could find this app useful is a puzzle to me.

When in doubt. If you’re thinking about it, more than likely, something needs fixing and this app will save the day.

Better than Grammarly. Ginger is exceptionally good. Ginger is now my primary syntax, proofreading, rephrasing and grammar app. The simple, intuitive interface has everything I need to write correctly. Suggestion: User interface is a bit plain. Custom color/background/font themes would personalize the experience. Landscape mode would also be welcome.

Worst app ever !. Try this if you don’t believe me. Complete couple of sentences and then try to edit few words... it suggests few words if you choose one it adds few more remaining letters after the actual word which me annoying every time, try to copy one word, it does copy everything on the page... so on...so on... Called the developer, send actual screen recording, wrote mail, NOTHINGS CHANGED! They did reply one or two times to reinstall and asked again to send them the report BUT IT WAS WASTE OF MY TIME. I am writing this true, honest & my experience about this app I purchase from AppStore and kept in my iPhone for more than a year believing one day things will work well with updates but now I uninstalling it from my phone with no hope.

Tuning Forks Session. Friend of mine highly recommended on Aly and I decided to have a session with her. Hands down- it was one of my best experiences I ever had! On that day I was in such a grumpy mood and she Totally changed that mood. I felt super relaxing and very happy! Also, pictures from my childhood showed up from my subconscious mind, things that ignored and I feel like I can take care of it now ! Thank you so much Aly! Can’t wait for the next Session!(:

There is a room for more improvements. I tried some tricky sentences and the app didnt detect them as faulty. And there is some errors when replacing words it add an extra characters to the word each time lets say “posst” and I fix it them the app replace it with postt or ppost

Versatile. Everything you need to write and be able to anything correctly taking it to the next level in an easy platform.

Corrects basic grammar without paying a monthly fee. I was looking for something that would do a basic grammar check without me signing up for a monthly fee based service. This does that and works quite well. Language translation was in unexpected (but welcome) bonus!

Great AI program. The Ginger-piloted AI upgrade is a great improvement over the previous version. This release changes the entire sentence to remove the erroneous syntax. The old version simply substituted one or two words in the phrase without checking the syntax. Great program! It's an amazing writing app! It gives several suggestions to change a sentence. I've been using it for two years and find it helpful in writing a sentence when I feel lazy. Synonyms and Translators now work very well after several updates. I find this app essential even when I'm emailing friends.

Wonderful App!. I am someone who is always intimidated by my grammar, even in text messages. Ginger is an app that, if you take time to run your text messages or documents, etc., Through their grammar check… You will not regret it!

good. pretty good. i read the comment right below saying that it would actually give you explanation when something is off but it does not. and i feel like it would have been better if they would fix it instantly as I type just like grammarly. rather me having to type in the app and copy it and paste it again.

No app like this. when i tell you and this app is! I’ve never usedM an app like this the only thing they could fix is helping out with MLA format but everything else is Absolutely perfect definitely need to download this app

Keyboard Add. I love the desktop version and it allows you to incorporate it in majority of apps. I decided to try it for iOS and was disappointed to find that it did not come with an option for keyboard. This should be on the top of your list to add and correct because as great as this program is, people want efficiency and having to type in one app and then copy into another is not efficient. Can you please work on adding this feature. Thanks

Must have for students 😂👌. I had to write a school paper and this app helped me create and turn in an error free paper! I used it in school a couple times but I had never used the actual app before. I've seen many advertisements about Ginger and I kept thinking “this app can’t do all that, it’s all for the ad”. Seeing the app actually work, I was surprised at how good it was. It spell checked all my writing in seconds and even gave me many different ways to write the same sentence. I think that PAGE grammar checker really helps with my writing. I tend to make a lot of simple mistakes but after I got this app I definitely had fewer grammar errors😊! Even at my age, it made me realize how often I misspell certain words. One thing that I really like about this is that if you make an error, it will correct the error, but also give an explanation of why something should or shouldn't be used. When I’m texting someone it corrects things for me, it even adds punctuation if I forget to. Overall I think that everyone needs this app. I believe that it can be very useful to encourage young writers, help with school assignments, or even business professionals. I like that it’s free, quick, and easy to download and use. I think that it’s amazing so far and I get everything I want from it. Keep up the good work! 👍

Best Writing App period. Absolutely love this app!!! Not only keeps your spelling correct but gives you better sentences , helps with context of sentences , and isn't just an autocorrect app that will get on your nerves changing everything!!! The power is yours with this app

Great app!. This app works just fine. I like how easy it is to write with it. It only needs a few adjustments and it will be just perfect. For example, a better way to get rid of the keyboard when I want to read everything I’ve written.

Awesome! Actually works with my bluetooth Apple keyboard on iPad!. I have tried other spell checker, grammer apps but fail when it comes to using my bluetooth Apple Keyboard which I use a LOT on my iPad. So the best thing is it Actually works with my bluetooth Apple keyboard on iPad! But all the functions are awesome, so helpful in so many applications. Thank You so much!

CRASHED, SAVED MY WORK INTO PASTE. Fully paid for version. I’m on iPad Pro 10.5 iOS 11.1.1 *TIP* If crashes, reopen app, then long press, choose paste *BAM* all your work, up to the crash point should be back. 3 stars because LAGGY, CRASHES OFTEN, AND KEEPS MOVING AWAY FROM MY AREA I AM EDITING IN. FIX THESE DAMNED THINGS PLEASE. MY ORIGINAL POST: I spent over two hours editing, crashed and didn’t save my work, nothing there after I re-launched the app. I’m wiring this review off that energy. The whole time I was editing, don’t know if this mattered or not, I was in landscape mode, editing a certain portion of my document. The whole time, non stop, the app keeps moving the field of view away from where I am editing, on its own, just moving to the next area of the document needing editing or whatever. That’s cool - but WAIT until I get there. I shouldn’t have to fight this app and keep bringing the view back to where I AM editing the document. After all that, it crashes. I went back there and hit paste, and it was all my work right up to the crash! MIRACLE! Dev needs to make Poole aware of this life saver, I almost went back and copied the old version. That was VERY close. Laggy, SUPER LAGGY. Rome Total War the game has HUNDREDS of AI scripted soldiers on the battlefield. No where near as laggy as this.

Are you happy. Only doing this because they keep making it pop on the screen every time I type.

No loyalty program!. I’ve previously bought the app, a long time ago before the premium subscription, and now I don’t have access to the app features. The app support team doesn’t help me either. + Update: thanks for your support and for paying your attention to this issue. I received one year of free subscription to the app. But much better solution is not to have subscription option that I didn’t agree on from the beginning and just to have access to the app. Anyways thank you for attempting to resolver the issue.

Ginger app. I started to use the app and I love it. I am student and also I am learning English, so this app is a great tool to write proper papers in English. However, the translation sometimes is off and if you guys can fix that, that will be awesome!!! Thank you.

App Crashes Way Too Much. I have a premium account and its useless. I have a 7th generation iPad, was running no apps in the background, and the app still forced closed repeatedly. It’s clear that the app has not been built to handle too many errors at one time. I was surprised to see the developer respond that their app rarely crashes with sooo many complaints of the app force closing. If you are adamant on using this app, don’t try to edit more than 3 or 4 sentences at a time.

I use the free version & I like it.. I don’t ever pay for apps, so I use the free version of this and I think it’s very helpful. ONE THING TO NOTE: save your work often, because the app does crash sometimes. It’s not hard to save your work though, all you do is press the “save” button in the top right corner. I do it about every 5 mins — and no problem.

Some things good, but most basic grammar untrustworthy. I have an email request sent to the developer regarding the article issue. Once that is cleared up, I will likely give it 5 stars. The app can not handle simple sentences such as: “I go to store.” It can not notice the missing “the” required in English. So the app seems incapable of finding article issues (both definite and indefinite articles). The sentence improvement suggestions were pretty nice, however. I appreciated many of them and it did improve my short sentences. The user interface is quite nice and pleasant. Thank you.

Powerful tool. I am a professional engineer and writing, writing any documentation is very critical to me. Ginger made my life so easy and effective. I am multilingual too, the translation of the program is so precise and professional.

Great App.. Needš Folders, Súb Folders. Hi ! You have as great app, you do! However, u need to be able to make folders even sub-folders! I know, you can ⭐️Save Text! Way better than Grammaly. English is my second language, I always have to double check my text or email and even when I think they are perfect. This app finds things and correct them. I used to use grammaly on my PC and I can say with confidence this is better.

Misleading. I’ve already contacted customer service and am not satisfied with the response. I’d prefer a refund, but hopefully someone will benefit from this and save the $8.99 before purchasing it. They no longer have Ginger Keyboard for iOS - you have to type directly into Ginger Page, which means that you have to type in Ginger Page and then copy/paste into other apps or writing software. I was recommended Ginger by someone hoping to save me costs on Grammarly. It looks like I’ll be paying extra for Grammarly, where I can type in ANY app and have corrections, suggestions, and the like come to my attention. Please save your money if you have an iPad or other iOS system.

Has problems with the Magic Keyboard. A lot of things seem to be nice about this app, and with this update it doesn't crash as often. The suggestions are generally very good and it's fast compared to some of the others I've tried. My problem is that in landscape mode on my iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard it cuts off the text just like I was using the onscreen keyboard, leaving a gaping blank area and only showing a small portion of the text it should be able to show. There's no visible divider, just text stopping a little ways down the page. Despite its strengths, the display issue makes it much less useful for me.

Total failure. I got to try this app for a whole 5 minutes. I pasted in my writing I was working on, as I was editing the second word the app highlighted, it forced closed the app. Again I had to start over. After three times of this same issue. Im done. I don’t have time to waste with an app that doesn’t even stay running longer than a couple minutes.

Absolutely a great tool and my new best app!. I’ve just downloaded and used Ginger first time to polish a report I wrote. It makes magic and it works smoothly. Every section of the app works, as it promised. Even this feedback I wrote, I checked and processed through Ginger. As well, it’s a great app, it is smooth with iPad pro’s split screen function. I used it side by side with Pages and again, no problem, nothing, nada! As an ESL professional, I think Ginger became my permanent writing tool. Nevertheless, I will continue to monitor and update my review. I’m curious about those one-star reviews and why they had a problem with Ginger. For now, 5-star for the app, kudos for the developers and yes, solid recommendation for all curious prospective users. Yes, it’s worth the five bucks I spent. Go ahead and try it yourself.

Some issues so far. Hard to say how I like it but I am writing this to stop the feedback message from popping up every minute or so. My one issue so far was in a long piece of text from a document. It was slow and cumbersome to proofread it all and once done I’d have to keep rescrolling to the top to edit things one at a time. Every correction sent me back to the bottom. Very tedious. And if I hit some features it would recheck the whole document again, causing me to watch the spinning wheel over and over. I want to really like it and have high hopes. Just hope these issues can be addressed in an update and make my purchase worthwhile. Update: the grammar function is not catching poorly written phrases, sentences without punctuation, or the need for a question mark. What’s that about?

Outdated design/app plus they lie about not having ads. The design of the ios app is horrible. It looks like an app from 2015. When you click on the star icon to save a piece of text, the pop-up that shows me saved the text or text was updated lasts way too long on screen. Inside the Phrase of the day, it has the apple download icon twice within this page when it shouldn't since the app is already paid for and downloaded. Inside the Phrase of the day page, down towards the bottom, they have ads when in the product description of the app store, it says this app does not have ads, but they lied

Copy & Paste Bug. I’ve used Ginger in the past. Purchased the app but I’m unable to copy a word or a section. Any attempt to paste work done in Ginger in another app, brings the entire document. I’ve also had corrections bring double words. Many documents I’m unable to scroll to the bottom. Any keyboard covers the work. This happens in portrait or landscape. I had to close the app down completely and reopen it again. The time I was looking to save in editing is lost in work-arounds. I’m working on an iPad Pro 2nd Gen. This could be a bug with either the iPad or iOS 12.

Giving this five stars. I love this app, it helps me out a lot and I really enjoy the fact that I can use it offline. I use it on my phone when out on the road, this app to me was Worth every penny and I’ve never even used the other things including the rephrase and the other things but I love,love, love this app I would recommend it to my friends!😃

So far it’s ok, but I have a suggestion. I’ve recently purchase this app for a research essay, it works well , but I still have errors. For example, Ex. I love To walk in the park. Yes, it will give rephrasing samples , but the (T) would still be capitalized. Also, a suggestion, maybe you have this on the website, but is there a plagiarism detector currently available ? It would be very helpful. I will change my rating if only I receive an answer and the bugs are fixed.

Good, Need some improvement. The app is an too bad but when using the touch keyboard insert a word it causes the program to glitch up a bit. That could be fixed that would be great

Needs Landscape Option for Larger iPhones. No complaint about the app with exception to the fact that there is no landscape mode option for the iPhone. The app would be helpful, but since I use a Bluetooth hardware keyboard for typing papers, I had to move on to Grammarly.

Now it is better. I had the app, but I ditched it because it wasn't so good. With this new update, this application has regained its rightful place as spell checker #1 and grammatical correction application.

It’s crashing constantly. This is a great app which I am excited to use. I started using it while I have two other similar products available in today’s market. I’m using this app in iPad Mini (the latest version). It’s good for small paragraphs and single sentences. I pasted a three-page article and tried to correct. After painstakingly corrected more than a page, it crashed and I lost all the corrections that I have made. Not one time or two, it crashed. But it’s crashing constantly.

Absolutely love it!. I use this app to edit my writing and it's so helpful, picking up on the details I missed and showing me other ways to write out my sentences. Granted you can't put too much text into the app as it will lag dramatically, however you can do your work in chunks so there is no problem! Get this app, work it 100%

It does not work.. The "Review" and "Rephrase" tools is not working. The keyboard stuck with "Reviewing" progress bar but nothing happens.

No good can't copy paste proof. Waste of money. I am very disappointed that Apple doesn't test drives applications that are paid to ensure they work adequately. Saying it works as you type - circumventing the whole copy paste and then proof is no different to selling a motor vehicle that has no motor. Very disappointing. ☹️

Rubbish..... The app is pathetic. Give me my money back. My 2 year old has a better understanding of grammar.

It needs more work. I have got a learning disability especially with spelling, grammar and writing. It doesn't quite pick up the grammar and spelling errors. It doesn't even relate to the words very much.

Ok, but needs work. It is an okay app, but needs a lot of work with relation to commas. I put them in everywhere to see what would happen and it didn't pick up on any of these. I also did the reverse and added in a 5 line sentence and took out all commas and full stops and it didn't recognise this either. Amazing idea but needs some work

Disappointed. English is not my native language, and I was looking forward to using this app. Unfortunately, I didn't find it helpful and deleted it the next day. I am using Grammarly now, and am very happy.

Terrible grammar app. Picks up obvious spelling mistakes but no grammar mistakes- auto correct is more efficient

Helpful app/new up date. I’ve used this for a few years and it has helped me in my day to day life it’s been great, recently in the past month the update on the app is very limited and restricts you from being able to use most features which is quite disappointing as I have come to rely on it time to time. Hopefully it can be more helpful for people in the future.

GABC. I am still learning how to use it properly. It is well planned but not easy to get the exact word you need. I am sure giving time it will be a wonderful app.

Chokes on Large Text Chunks. The app does not allow to write and check grammar in full screen and forces the right side pannel. It chokes on large chunkcs of text and does not allow to skip suggestions easility. Upon correction of a word it jumps to the end of the text document.

Though it needs improvement/ proofreading improvement, and a better Chinese to English translation xD it kinda not good and some are wrong

Interesting. Cut and pasting and writing in the app, doesn't work well - cannot skip the apps words suggestions ... not good

Disappointing. I downloaded this app to improve my grammar but as it turns out I could teach it a lot. "Don't touch nothing." (An obvious double negative) is considered correct. "I seen a dog today." Should be "I saw a dog today." But Ginger persistently wants to change it to "have seen." Perhaps that is correct but it doesn't sound right to me. Spell check seems fine but iPhone has a good spell check built in. Save your money and wait for a better version.

Always Crashing. The app is great, but it’s always crashing on random action.

Great idea, slow execution. An app that is actually usually accurate in its spelling and grammar corrections? AND it lets you dismiss suggestions that aren't correct or you don't want to use? AND actually useful and usually accurate rephrasing suggestions? Sold! The problem? I prefer to type up whatever I'm writing elsewhere then I'll paste it in Ginger for the cursory grammar check (because, for me, there are better apps for writing and saving work; Ginger Page checks technicals, and it's very good at that, but there are much better apps for saving and keeping track of projects), and, if it's more than let's say a paragraph, it takes damn near forever for it to do all the checks and show them. And heaven forbid you accidentally close the keyboard before you're finished going through them all (which can take a while as there's no easy way to go directly to what parts it's suggesting a fix for), or you have to go through the same agonizing wait to load again. As much as I love this app, and for all the times it's saved me from silly typos, how long it takes to check longer things just makes it very hard to actually use as a writer who prefers other apps for tracking and saving.

Good, but slow. I working on a 5,000 word short story and copied it, into Ginger. That was too much for Ginger to handle. I had to do one section at a time. Still it crashed two time. I have iPad Pro. Yes, I had many grammer mistakes, still when was a few, it would be jumping and misspelling words.

Cheap app but as a professional TV writer with Dyslexia... Certainly get this app in your kids hands, It is powerful and yes, a bargain. I'm just a creative dummy not I just a little bit smarter with this software...see my work on tv.

I used to love it but…. I believe I purchased this app when this developer hadn’t updated yet to the subscription plan. I used to love it to help me understand the meaning by using the “rephrase sentence” feature, so I can improve my English without using dictionary translation. However, since they updated, I have limitations to using the features that are supposed to be included unless I subscribe to those plans.

There are hidden adds in the app. What a gross violation but the developers. There are google and other tracking adds in the app under the phrase of the day. I paid for this app to avoid having adds on my device. You clearly state in the advertisement that there are no adds and no in-app purchases. I want a refund. A full refund ASAP.

Lovely app. This app may come with a price but it does include some nice stuff like a thing that will read what you typed out.. But if you make a mistake like forgetting to capitalize then it may miss it

Fix. There's some times in which it doesn't give me correct punctuation corrections- kinda bothers me but overall it's a great app

Though this helped with correction of apostrophes and commas. This tools doesn’t offer help with the above. I was sure it mentioned this in the App Store. Disappointed with this purchase and lack of what it offers. You can have your iPhone do the corrections this does for free!

NOT WORKING- WASTING MONEY. My husband bought a PREMIUM 2.99dollar but it's not working and nobody helps us to fix it. Too many exchanging emails for more than a week but still not fixed. We tried everything but nothing is working. They did not know their apps. Do not buy this. WASTING MONEY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR

Superb. My writing has improved 10 fold because of Ginger. Learn it, then try it. You won’t be disappointed!

The best app. This app can fix errors that all other apps, including Grammarly, missed. It also supports amazing paraphrase.

Promising, but Paid App not worth it. Awesome potential in this app. The ability to find synonym and rewrite sentences was why I tried this app out. But anytime I copy and pasted a lot of words to the app, it would show it, but then crash/freeze.

Top notch grammar checker for iPad.. Of course, Grammarly has a keyboard for iOS — but (as far as I know) not an actual program. It’s nice to have a well-known grammar checker to fill that void.

Doesn’t really help with punctuations. The app does not work so well. It does not properly punctuate my sentences. All it did was try to re-word my sentence, hence changing the context of it. The app failed miserably. It did not help me at all. I feel like I just wasted $5.

Buggy unusable waste of time. Complete waste of time, why is it freezing flashing, the suggestions for changing phrases is odd and quirky. Can’t easily copy the text and paste it. where is the spell correct? Its a mystery. This is complete garbage and I wish I could get a refund. Truly awful!

So far so good. Just purchased this GingerGrammer app. because I really needed to impress my co-workers with my writing skills. This app did not disappoint. I’m very pleased thus far.

Pretty good. Very similar to Grammarly. Just this one is more expensive. You get the same thing from Grammarly for free, that you get in this. Doesn’t make it bad, just saying.

Over Charge. Also, notice when sign in app on desktop ask me to pay for another plan. Not happy with app at this time. Update The over charge turn out to be apple issue.

Ginger is a great editing tool. It is one of two editing tools for writing, but I will not write a crucial paper without it

good for international studend. It can help you correct the error and translate something, it is very convience.

Ho hum. Paid for the app but it doesn’t do much. Ran some paragraphs through it and it didn’t catch obvious errors. I guess I need a fairly expensive subscription to get it to work well? If it doesn’t work well now why would I pay more to have to not work well for much more money?

Hate this app. This app keeps deleting my documents and adding words that do not have anything to do with what I'm writing about. When I use the backspace, it just keeps on deleting everything on its own and it add random words in random places. It also tends to freeze

Terrible. Not worth it.. It doesn't work well at all. It's not worth paying for. It only scans key words and haphazardly exchanges with out with other synonyms. It won't let you change the sentence without bugging out and I just tried to copy my article I wrote and post it on FB and it won't paste the updated version!
