problem. The font of the news content cannot be adjusted as it is too small

It would be nice to support portrait mode on iPad. New York Times has always been one step ahead of other newspapers. Making this Chinese version app is one example. I love this app and its China tailored reporting. My petty grievance is the landscape-only mode in the iPad version. It would be nice to support the portrait mode as well. Keep up the good works!

Front size cannot be changed. It is not easy for senior reader

Great App with 2 flaws. I love this app. My only gripes are that it doesn’t allow you to use the portrait (vertical) mode on the iPad, and you can’t use the look up word feature within the app. Typically you can highlight a word and select the “look up” button. This would be a massive time saver when looking up an unfamiliar word. Otherwise, I have zero complaints. Would love to see those two issues resolved.

Font size. Love the app but the font size is too small and unable to adjust size.

Share is NOT working. Recently, the share button is not working in my iPhone X. NYTimes usefulness is cut by half without sharing capability.

PLEASE let the screen rotate.. It’s very uncomfortable to be only use the app in horizontal screen.

Share function doesn’t work properly. I cannot share the article in the new version anymore. It will just send the image not the text. Also, I think it will be useful to provide an option to convert the article to a PDF cause you know, the link will be banned by the Chinese government.

Bad stutter. The latest update of the app makes text stutter badly when scrolling (choppiness rather than a smooth motion). Does not happen in any other apps.

No push news anymore!. Recently

Awful. I clicked on a notification—it didn’t take me to the article. Instead, I got a perpetual loading window (showing an animated T). Later, in an article, the app crashed twice when I hit the share button.

Neutral and objective. Good job New York times

The translation problem. Why can I see all articles in English. Once I choose the English version, the page freezes at the loading and I cannot do anything. Hope this technology problem can be solved

Great content but doesn’t automatically refresh. Have to reinstall to update content?!

Crash when changing language. This app crashes when I change the language. I hope that it can be fixed in the next version.

Images can’t be loaded. Great content, but somehow the images don’t show up in GFW, whereas the website works well, which doesn’t point to my network. Hope developers fix this

Please update your first page. Your “Newest Article” on your first page in Chinese version was posted July 2018.....

Please let the screen rotate.. It’s very uncomfortable to be only able to use the app in horizontal screen. Also, the font can be nicer.

Doesn’t seem to support the pro-motion techniques. Everything else in this app works nicely, but it seems that this version doesn’t seem to support pro-motion techniques featured on iPhone 13 pro, hope to see this issue properly addressed in the coming version.

horrible journalism. Fake and biased reporting of news. I don‘t know the original intention of the NYT news, but they tend to distort a lot of things that brings their readers unauthentic information especially onto the Chinese-speaking audiences. I reckon this action much arrogant and ignorant. The news journalism of NYT disgusted me. But their page organization and app interface looks decent though. They do have free email notification/ad-free news, so thumbs up for that.

dislike button won’t work. I hate the way that you guys cheat us to give 5 star good review. Also, the feature of popping up some news that you guys thought “important” greatly offends me.

App does not refresh. The app does not refresh with new articles.

FONT SIZE 字体大小 FORMAT格式. We should improve the app format whether on ios or ipados, where font size can be normalized.

Good app. The New York Times - who has a paywall - is free to Chinese readers. That's good and friendly. Hope NYT keep this.

error. I don’t know why, but the platform keep telling me that the internet is not connected ,even after I checked it was all right

Latest version. Bring back text resizing please! New design has a cool look but the app is unreadable now with super tiny font!

Great app, high quality reports, and professional journalism. This is the news app that I have to check every day. I like the articles on it, and cherish the values reflected from words and opinions.

Font size too small. For the past month or so the font size within the app is extremely small. Please add an option to adjust the font size in the app.

Impossible to read older articles. This app has a major problem in loading older news. When I finish reading one article and like to read some related news, it can never load it. Frustrating!

A great resource for Chinese!. A thumb up for NYT to bring the professional journalism to Chinese community. Many of its members are subjected to media distortion and disinformation campaign on social media such as WeChat. Time for people to read something real and know the difference between high-standard journalism versus self-made “news” that creates rumors and confusions. Need more efforts like NYT outreach to ethnic media, as it is dying without enough support.

Subpar Content. No wonder this app is free and requires not subscription. The stuff (hard to call them articles) are 30% fact and 70% condescension.

Buggy. When this works it’s fine. Lately, it flips out strangely. One day , only headlines, no content. Next day, no fan ti . The Chinese is very good . They need to pay for some technical support.

Great app for my parent. My dad loves this app and the news reporting from New York Times. He especially enjoys the dual language feature of English and Chinese, as he is learning English while also keeping up with the current event from US and the world. Highly recommended.

这个App今天突然发生点击后出现黑屏状态，为什么？. 每天更新的内容太少 刷新时经常提示已经缓存多少条新闻，可下拉菜单里的都是旧的文章。希望改进！

新版本是巨大的进步. 比起近乎不堪用的老版本，新版本在界面、功能、流畅度方面都有显著进步。夜间模式是连主app都还没有的功能吧（好奇怪的说😂）。 一个建议是希望增加账户功能以云端保存收藏的文章。

Can not "Look up" dictionary. Cannot select words so that to use iOS "Look up", therefore can not use the dictionary. Please fix

Good app to read news. I like its simplicity...always fun to read news from NYT. The translation is accurate and concise. Strongly recommended.

Better apps for nyt. Really much easier to read news.

Should enable “look up” on selected text. When reading in English-Chinese dual mode, it should enable the “look up” on selected text, so that easy to look up in dictionary. It is basic function on browser and it is lock of in this app

Great app. I just stumbled onto this app since I was just browsing for NYT apps cus I'm a subscriber. But to my amazement it seems that the Chinese version is actually free! Very nice! As for the app itself, I love the way the article loads with the NYT LOGO... But don't blink cus you will miss this great detail because the app loads super fast. It's a great way to read news in Chinese without any Chinese state bias. Kudos to you NYT Subscriber for life

Chinese Edition. It is a good source for those who are learning Chinese.

Chinese language student. Always use NYT for my newspaper readings in Chinese, fantastic content with a natural flow, if awkward sometimes due to translations. App is very easy to use, but a student mode to easily look up words could be helpful

I like the Chinese/English side by side view feature. This may not be its intended purpose but I found it very useful for language learning. It will be perfect if the side by side view can be rotated, and allows user to make text selection.
