Latest Update. Ever since the last update the vpn tells me there’s no internet connection—when there is—so I have to always click “retry.” When I change to a different country location it still shows me as local and in English not the country’s language. The Photo Vault tells me to upgrade even though I have bought the premium package. Maybe I can delete the apps and reinstall, but I would have to backup one by one and don’t have time for it. Before the update I had no issues. Maybe your aesthetic update did not help the main use of the apps. Please fix these issues, thanks. iOS 13.5.1

Shuts down too much. When set to auto connect it will often lose connection to the point that the app won’t open to allow it to be turned off. It often gets hung up where it turns on and off every split second and won’t allow a connection to WiFi or allow you to turn it off. It’s therefore unreliable and a waste of money. Note: When it happens I am unable to click on the cog wheel and unable to do anything until it resolves itself. When it does, I quickly turn it off.

AVAST REVIEW. AVAST is an interesting insurance company. Avast offers no cost auto insurance along with various other insurance policy. I am a 77 and a veteran....... I Moved to Orlando after my wife’s death. I signed up 4 years ago and have made no Claims to date. My concern is AVAST adds a variety of other insurance which I feel unnecessary and you are placed in a no win situation. I felt if did not pay/approve I would be tenuance situation. I called AVAST and these off shute programs were removed. Actually dealing with AVAST was no problem. I was told this would not happen again. But it did, with. No opportunity to decline. I called AVAST and offered my explanation that this would be removed. Hopefully this problem will bègb I will patiently wait.

You can do better avast. Well i bought a license for my PC and it worked great so i went for another subscription for my iPhone and it sucked , tried reinstalling profile and the software and still bad , BTW i am connected to the same wifi and now i am sharing my vpn internet from my PC to my phone Update , works great now

Great company gone bad. I’ve been with the AVAST company since I have had technology and hasn’t let me down yet. This has to be the biggest back stab to date with me. avast SecureMe was a good VPN and understandably removed from the App Store. Thinking that this application would have at least a throttle on a connection for free users I came to this as a last resort and was ultimately let down. I know that at the end of the day there needs to be a profit but at this rate people will be paying $50 a month for air to breathe.

Too buggy for use. I had this on my phone for about 3 weeks, it would constantly be “connecting” and when I would choose to disable the VPN it would automatically reactivate after a few seconds. This problem has made my only solution to be to uninstall the app. I would say about 10 times a day the VPN would be endlessly reconnecting rendering my internet usage impossible. I don’t recommend this app until this is fixed.

Fantastic Customer Service!. I was traumatized from System Mechanic/iolo customer service and thankfully they gave me a refund for my entire account so I can switch. They tried to take control of my computer through remote session, would not let me move my mouse to cancel the session and tried to sell me $240 for several years of live tech. Would not listen to me when I said no several times. I was done. Found out avast had everything an antivirus software needs and decided to buy it. I had some trouble setting up a feature so I called customer service. They are fantastic. They didn't even try to sell me another product and helped me fix my issue. I am buying everything they have on all my devices.

Does not hide your location. The desktop version does not show correct vpn location as in showing UK when selected Switzerland. This flaw was there when it used to be Hide My A*s. No trust especially since Avast was busted with probably the worst data collection scandal that they only shut down because they were caught and even then the boss there did not apologize but instead lamented laying off the many "good people" that were invlolved in Avast's total betrayal of trust. Dump Avast.

Inferior product. Does not work worth a (&;&: for iPhone. Constantly asking me to reinstall vpn profile then says it is connected when it is actually NOT connected (verified multiple times). If it isn’t doing this, the internet connection is just completely blocked with no internet connection when it says connected. I asked for a refund but they could not find my account even though I received emails from there when I signed up. Now I am just ignored by them after paying for a year subscription. Beware!

Avast. I got Avast initially after it was recommended by an IT. I have never been compromised on my phones or computers since I purchased these products. I definitely recommend these products without reservation.

Great Product. I love Avast Premium on my computer, not one problem, but this VPN has only worked off and on for the past year or two. When connecting to WiFi, it connects and disconnects over and over making WiFi connection impossible. It will be fixed one update and back to unfixed the next, I will not renew this VPN when it comes up for renewal. I’m sorry but enough is enough.

Very glitchy. 1. For some reason, since installing and activating this app, when I do a search on Google it can’t discern that I’m in the US, so I keep getting info back for businesses in the UK. 2. I’ve had multiple apps just totally quit working on me. One of which is my grocery store app, so this VPN literally prevents me from being able to order groceries online. 3. This app may be good if you are traveling, especially in an airport. I have not had the opportunity to test it in that situation.

Mediocre, not super dependable. Will we get a beneficial update soon?. The updates seem to never really solve the biggest problems. This app, which I have paid for the last two years, frequently drops the connection to the server and does not reconnect. It doesn’t notify you either. I suddenly realize on public WiFi or at home that suddenly I’m no longer connected to my VPN. Happens during active use or idle periods. Additionally, every couple weeks or so it will say that it has to reinstall the VPN profile out of the blue. Closing the app and relaunching sometimes fixes this. Very annoying especially when your connection is no longer secure. Sometimes it asks to reinstall the VPN profile back to back to back even with a reboot of my phone. IPhone 10 and 6+ have identical problems running this app. I’m going to start looking for a better VPN service before my next years payment. Time to do some homework and hope to not deal with the same frustration with other providers. I’m even willing to pay significantly more elsewhere just not to be frustrated so often. I have other apps from Avast that work flawlessly so why can’t they get it together with SecureLine?

Connect at pc start up. It does connect on device startup. I have manually turn it on. I forget to turn it on and surf with it off. Makes me mad. Should start protecting the minute I start my device.

Worked well for a few months then did not.... I started using the Avast VPN on my Iphone and PC. For about 6 months it worked ok except that sometimes Google won’t let you do a search because it detected too many searches from the proxy server everyone was using. So i had to disable the VPN to use Google. I am not sure what happened at 6 months (maybe an update?), but after that it never worked well. Some problems were: - i get a License expired notice in the middle of the license term. Then this cleared after a few days. - the VPN did not turn on automatically like it used to before. I would be using the phone and realize later that the VPN was not active. Then i would manually start the app. That is very inconvenient and resulted in not using it at all. - when i am at home using my WiFi, the app would not allow me to start the VPN at all. It would give a message that said somethinh like “cannot use VPN when using a trusted WiFi connection. Remove trusted WiFi connection to use VPN”. What is the point of this limitation? Even if i am using a trusted WiFi from my home the ISP provider and websites i am accessing can still track me. But the app is not turning VPN on until I forget my WiFi and connect using LTE. Today my license expired so i am not going to renew it. Will try something else for a change this year.

Improvements are nice but do not consistently work. The latest release includes improvements that would make this a 5 star app if they worked consistently. Unfortunately I’m still experiencing connection issues when I first unlock my phone, along with other random issues. After unlocking my phone about 50% of the time it will show me connected to vpn (via icon next to WiFi icon) but I have no connectivity. When I open the SecureLine app it will say I have no connection and only option is “retry” button. I have to go into settings to physically turn off vpn to get access to my lte or WiFi. Then I can reconnect SecureLine. Another problem is with turning off vpn for short term like 15 minutes. It will not automatically reconnect after 15 min(or an hour), and when I go to settings auto connect IS turned on but it says I’m not connected to SecureLine because I’m on a trusted network— even though I have no trusted networks and it is listing zero. I have to try to disconnect to get reconnected to SecureLine. I actually suggested this feature over a year ago and hope they are able to shake out the bugs so it works as expected. Other random times the vpn icon will show I’m connected but nothing will load until I change vpn location. Things still seem very buggy and not reliable. I’m looking forward to the day I can unlock my phone and open an app/website without my SecureLine vpn locking things up.

scam app removed my review, reposted. Not until recently had I noticed that my refund ¥328 as a whole for the premium offered 3 year subscription order on Feb 11th did not get processed, instead, Avast sent me a letter on Feb 14th saying it was processed. The thing is that my money had stayed at Avast for 60 day trial order on Feb 20th, which was partially auto deducted ¥248 on April 20th for the official order which is only one year subscription and I did not get the rest ¥80 back, still. I don’t understand why I didn’t get the Avast notification that my previous order refund was to stay for another trial order and charged partially for the official order 60 days later. If someone had been notified officially that his money, even if it was a premium offered price, would have been taken for a hold and finally resulted in an one year subscription without special offer, he’d have thought it twice.

Charges. You get charged when you just seeing what it cost them when you try to pay it takes your money and want give you service. I’m about done with it and three of my friends bought through the like I sent them and I did not get my reward. They see to do nothing but cheat you out of your hard earned money. I might not be smart like them but I work hard for my money and just want what I paused for and the gifts they said they would give if a friend purchased the product

Drops without warning. When I first got this it worked great, but over the last 6-7 months it will drop without warning. I will then notice I’m not connected and it sometimes will not re-connect when I try to reconnect. I then have to reboot my device and even then it sometimes does not reconnect. I will look for a new VPN.

Incompetence.... Super slow Internet speeds would be the first concern... but I purchased a multi year subscription for my primary laptop, and now to renew just an iPad subscription which I personally purchased separately they want me to pay $60 a year just for one iPad even though I’ve already paid for the computer? That’s $120 year. The service department is brutally incompetent... i’m moving over to TunnelBear idiots. This isn’t a fast service anyway it’s rather pokey.

When it’s working. The app works very well for the most part. The only annoying aspect is that I have to recreate a VPN profile about once a week. The VPN stops functioning without warning even though I have it set to login on demand. And there is no warning that I am in an insecure state.

Netflix knows. The big streaming services are all very aware that this program is running and I cannot connect with them without turning this VPN off somebody needs to record something so that this error no longer occurs if it were not for this it would be a five star service

It’s great. The only issue I’m having with it is that it charged my card for the year of it and now it is asking me to sign up???? I have the transaction in my bank account that I was charged for it can you please fix this thank you

Does not work on iPhone. This app simply does not work on iPhone. It doesn’t mask your location as advertised. Many video streaming apps ask to use your location for blackout purposes. If you change your location in the vpn the apps still see your actual location and don’t allow access. This means the vpn doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app many times, but it doesn’t work.

Please fix. The VPN auto connects even when I turn it off n turn off auto connect feature. the VPN turns on when I’m using my cellular data and WiFi is turned off. Also a feature to add trusted WiFi connection cause it turns on when I’m on my secure home WiFi and also when I’m on my tether phone connection or mifi which is also secure.

Never a moment’s worry. I have been using Avast on all of my PCs and cell phones for years without any problems. My family currently has 6 pcs, 4 laptops, and 3 cellphones. Avast is the only protection we use. I highly recommend using it.

Last update made this app a NO GO. The most recent update made a decent app (by an otherwise crummy company whose stuff does NOT work on PCs) finally as bad as the rest of their stuff. It now disconnects constantly, does not reconnect, and -this is really cute- no matter how many times you select “automatic reconnnect,” that option will not remain selected! So every couple of days it will stop reconnecting, you’ll have to re-open the app connect, go to settings, select “automatically reconnect,” and then wait and see how long it works this time! I was already set on not renewing my subscription on my phone once the company’s product didn’t work on my PC, and they provided customer service that was unhelpful and eventually just stopped replying. At this point, I’m about to go find a new VPN and put that on my phone and PC, and just write off the rest of my Avast subscription as a lesson learned on what companies not to buy products from.

VPN Experience. Avast knows when I’m on private WiFi or public and adjust my security accordingly all there products are excellent. When I turn my pc on all updates are installed drivers updated optimized registry’s In order history cleaned up it’s really nice to not worry about my computer being hacked or virus or malware. Avast save me time and money. The only website you need to go to. Signed. Very satisfied customer;-))

Meets my security needs. I have been using AVAST Secure Line VPN for about a year. It was a little pricey when I got it last year but, they have since made this product much more competitive. It works flawlessly and very easy to use. I have seen other reviewers for other services talk about having multiple locations. However, I feel there are plenty of locations to choose from with Secure Line. I became aware of this service with my PC AVAST virus protection where they offer secure Line with the service as an option that has worked well for me. So I have confidence in the product for my IPhone and IPad.

Won’t stay connected, Getting a new vpn. I’m done, tired of constantly disconnecting. Only thing they can for sure connect to is my bank account each month for their money. I want what I pay for too. I have already removed all their anti virus and pc cleanups etc from my computers this month. As soon as I close this review, I’m looking for a new vpn immediately. Gave them 4 months to get it together. I will always overlook this company from now on.

Turning off. Keeps on turning off so I have to turn it on every 30-45 minutes. I may try a different VPN just to see if does the same thing

Greatest vpn I’ve yet to see!!. All I know is that I will not be using anything but this vpn… The format is basic and it carry’s four times its weight against malware, and all that crazy out there!! Can’t wait to see what other products they carry!

#1 Best Anti-virus company there is but... sometimes it disconnects randomly, hate when that happensA month ago my family and I got hacked. Our computers, our phones, WiFi system, TV’s, alarm system, surround speakers, you name it. Almost everything. They sent us threatening text messages saying they were going to kill us which would end up being a scam. We relied on avast to protect us from hackers and viruses. I feel safe browsing my cell phone with my trustworthy VPN on. If you’re considering purchasing this app, do so. It’s a must!

No ACCESS. Many sites doesn’t let to get through and others become very slow, If it could he fixed would be great.

No ads and actual internet speed. Most important you must know for a great VPN app that provides an actual internet speed you’re connected to and no ads during the use of the app ON and off so thumbs up to developers 👍🏻

Doesn’t work with Netflix. Specifically says in their advertising that it lets you watch geo-restricted content. I travel in the us and want to browse safely on public hotspots so I use SecureLine, but with Netflix I have to choose whether I want to be safe or if I want to watch Netflix. I don’t even want to watch stuff that’s outside where I’m at. I understand that Netflix is the one imposing the rule, however avasts advertising should be clearer that it doesn’t always work for geo restricted content and possible specifically call out that it doesn’t support that feature with Netflix.

So much spammy up selling!. Instead of being straightforward and saying “do you want the cheap service or the expensive service,” they split everything up, with TONS of service duplication, into many different small apps. Not only does having a separate flipping app for every 2-4 little functions eat up space and RAM on my flagship devices, it means that I ended up paying THREE SEPARATE SUBSCRIPTIONS for THREE VPNs when I ONLY NEED ONE.

Good app but needs tweaks. I have ATT internet but am switching to Spectrum. No problem using VPN app while I was an ATT subscriber. Instead of an ATT modem-router combo, I bought my own router to go with the Spectrum modem to avoid rental fees. That is where my troubles began. I could not get the Netgear app to work on my iPad and one suggestion was that VPN could interfere. I ended up switching to a Linksys router. I was able to connect the Linksys app after setting up my account on my laptop, but my internet connection became a problem. I kept getting disconnected. So, I deleted the Avast VPN app on one iPad. No problem connecting on that one. Since I still have ATT, I connected to the internet on my other iPad using ATT and went into the Avast app. I disconnected the “connect automatically when not on a trusted network” feature and was able to connect to the internet again. Then I decided to add the Linksys router to my trusted networks. So far it is working. I went into copious detail so maybe people with more technical knowledge can figure this out. I am not sure if the problem is with Spectrum’s internet settings, the change to a separate router and modem, the app or what. BTW, initially the Spectrum connection worked, then it stopped working later in the day. I may end up manually connecting the VPN if my solution does not continue to work, something I can live with.

Avast customer for many years.. I’ve never been hacked, never had a virus. That says enough, as my internet usage has taken me to some questionable areas. And YES avast works on PCs and NO it doesn’t slow down your system like the other big name ones

Cranky App. 1. I often discovered It had stopped working without giving a warning. 2. Sometimes I had to turn it off because it was blocking Internet access.

Keep loosing connection. Keeps asking to add vpn even though it’s already there is I say no it won’t connect if i day yes it won’t connect I have to reset my networks then it works until it asked again to add the vpn?

Good App but Why Ads?. The app is good and I love that I can have it automatically connect when I join a WiFi network but I can specific trusted networks where it won’t connect. However, I’ve already subscribed to the service. Why am I still getting notifications to pay $3 more per month for multiple devices? If it continues I’ll have to look elsewhere for my VPN app.

Reloads CONSTANTLY. I wish I could give this a better rating but it is incredibly annoying because it constantly reloads, causing the website you are on to freeze until the reload is complete. It sometimes takes a minute or two. It happens multiple times during the day. Does it need to do this for security reasons? Whatever the reason, it needs to be fixed.

lame as long as it keep giving me apps out of connection. this happens also for avast vpn for the mac mojave..there’s apps that no longer connect with rhis vpn, soo..why would i want a vpn if a can’t no longer use the programs that connect to the 2020 “internet” don’t get me wrong am no “hater” i LOVE AVAST been using it for a year or more for mac mojave and sierra and it has saved ma sorry self LOTZ o times! so we as family decided to pay them n maybe get them apps...but they won’t be worth paying for em...so maybe a won’t wipe this apo from the phone, as i could use it for web pages...but if the rest of the apps, including appstore, no longer connect to the net, being that those apps ONLY purpose is to CONNECT to tha freackyng net won’t be useable with THIS VPN a pretty much just won’t use vpn at all...so just hold on 2 THAT AVAST ..you rock it with antiviruses, but u aint doin well on the “pay” apps...

Problem after cancellation. Just informing Avast App tech support that I deactivated the trial subscription 24-36 hours before deadline/Ending period! Well I received an email stating that they had tried to charge my account for a (year subscription) , and I would never do any subscription for that period of time “ Too Long” also and thank gawd I moved all my funds to a new card/Account!! Avast inc. please have your app creators or billing people fix this issue because I’ve tried many TRIALS looking for the perfect VPN/DNS/LAN etc Protection, and security for all mentioned and for my iPhone mainly to make my location and self anonymized from all the ad And spam and also employers who have no business having my location among other rules they’d like to have enabled “NOT HAPPENING”! Please fix this as I did unsubscribe well before the subscription ended!! Thanks in advance ...

Edboone is an idiot: Best VPN out there. Avast is great in every product they provide. Don’t listen to biased reviews. I’ve tried 4 different conpanies with cybersecurity protection software, and avast is the best I have seen so far. Keep up the great work you guys! We all thank you for your hard work.

Duplicate services! No refunds. Warning- I was charged for duplicate services and did not know or authorize purchase. Apple and avast are both refusing to give me a refund and I paid twice for two entire year subscriptions!!! Terrible business and customer service even tho it could be a good product. When I called Avast customer service to request assistance with a refund, both individuals were foreign, with strong accents- could not understand their English, and rude.

Difficult to remove and not very useful. I generally like avast stuff but this offering falls into an unethical area. Firstly, I was looking for an antivirus, not any of the other stuff this offers and of course it does not include an antivirus; why was it the first search hit? Then, when the trial time ran out (I had cancelled the subscription stance I didn’t need it), suddenly, all I could do online is renew the subscription; the link for being taken off the list did not work. The vpn it forced my phone through would turn itself back on after being turned off. I had to actually remove the app to be able to use the browser without this its interruptions. I could see how an older or less phone savvy person might get frustrated and just keep buying the subscription. That is not an ok tactic to employ and it makes me want to reconsider using your other products.

Not free. Not a free app, first page offers paid subscriptions, no way around it. Cannot use any function for free unless you subscribe for 7 day free trial

Why is my app outdated?. Can you please explain why the app on my MacBook Pro is so outdated yet on ,y other two devices it is the latest software and settings?

Avast Secure Line. Easy to set up. You choose nearest server. It works and, so far, never failed. What more can you ask for?

VPN mobile app. The VPN app for mobile crashes sometimes.

Great app. I use this app all the time. The only thing that really bothers me is when I don't use the phone for a while the VPN seems to automatically disconnect. If there was a way to keep it on 24/7 once turned on in settings to turning it off manually it would be perfect. As for speeds and the like - if you connect to "optimal server" the speeds are always great. 👍👍👍👍

Auto function. Major disappointment, don’t know why it doesn’t auto connect like it declares every time I have to turn it on… I’m left wondering if this VPN is actually doing anything to improve my privacy 🤔

Avast VPN review. I have been using Avast VPN on my mobile from a link to Internet server on my Windows PC 10. Avast allow a link to 5 other devices you may use. From what I have witnessed, the product works very effectively. With so many scams these days with hacking, emails, impersonation of business names as well as many others, like Viruses. Mailware, trogins etc. I feel safe browsing the internet using Avast VPN and Avast Browser. Recommend this Avast Products highly.

Turn off find my phone- or this app will not work. Yes folks if you want Avast SecureLine VPN to work on your iPhone then you will have to turn off find my iPhone ( iOS 13) Apple will not tell you this but they will take their 30%commission anyway. Tony Story

After new update I can’t connect it. This app is really good but from last week I cannot connect secure VPN. It’s show me error failed to connect secure VPN. I have to turn off my iPhone and then I will connect it. Please fix the error ASAP. Thanks

Easy VPN. I’m a first timer using VPN. So easy so effective. I will keep it up.

BS Trusted Networks Prompt. The prompt to trust a network before disconnecting the VPN reeks of a desire to record all your internet traffic. Make it harder to disconnect and people won’t. Why encourage more data throughput if not to collect it? More data throughput = higher running costs and a slower VPN. Only reason to do it is if Avast makes more off of it (your private data) than it costs them... A true privacy conscious VPN service wouldn’t encourage more usage than necessary.

Not as good as my bitdefender that I get for free. I read this was a good one to use but disappointed as it doesn’t live up to expectations.

Not for Netflix. I purchased this one because the other packages such as virus check, are pretty good. Unfortunately, it is incompatible with Apple TV (as advised by customer care) which was the only reason for my purchase.

Useless product. Unable to connect to Netflix USA at all, and unable to use it on university LANs in Germany and Singapore. Your money is better spent on a competitor’s VPN service.

Geoff. I’m finding it confusing. When using my apple iPhone or tablet I’m able to connect to a public wifi but when i click on your ap I am told I’m unable to connect to one of your servers. However the VPN notification is showing. Is the VPN really working if I’m not connected to one of your servers? Also because I am unable to connect to your server I’m unable to change my apparent location or switch the VPN off or on. I need to do this as as it is all very well slow when the VPN is on Your advice please

Issue with VPN.. My issue with VPN is that I cannot receive or send emails while VPN is on… Note that I have previously reported my issue but it has continued through various versions.

Mr. DO NOT INSTALL THIS P.O.S. in your iPhone. You’ll get stuck without any wifi as is ‘synchronises’ but never connects. Love the product on my pc but not on an iPhone. As for the so called ‘help’ ......

Not enough info about what it does. I like the idea of being protected online, but my reason for not purchasing the full version is because avast do not give enough info on the product. If I am to pay a monthly subscription I want to know - what exactly the app does apart from just mask your location, statistics for smartphone hacks / viruses, how it works, why as a customer I should purchase it. Having a few short lines as a description for an entire app is not good enough.

Very good!. The product is amazing. Works in iOS 8 iPhone 4S very well and it's very cheap.

Fan of Avast security. I have always used Avast security on my Laptop and have been very happy with it but am finding this download on my iPad has slowed my internet connection down.

Easy and Secure. I'm very happy with SecureLine so far. I'm running it on my son's Windows laptop, my MacBook and iPad, and found it very simple to install and configure. I travel frequently with work and it's handy to appear as being In Australia to catch up local events.

I would give 5 stars if it worked properly. I start up the app and then go accept terms and conditions but when I click add VPN configuration nothing loads up, I tried restarting my phone and changing my internet. It just won’t let me add the VPN configuration

Great product, however..... It is a good VPN service, however it often fails to work properly, it causes the connection to anything (eg. Facebook, Instagram, any website ect) to time out, other than that it is great when it works, but this issue happens often which understandably causes frustration. If this didn’t happen and was problem free (like the VPN on my pc) it would be a solid five stars.

Dose not do what is claimed & no support.. I installed the app and connected to the Australian server, but it still knows that I am overseas, I’ve contacted Support but I’ve had no response yet. The only reason I installed this was to be able to do this so it’s of no use. I finally received a response from support 7 days after I sent a request but this was of no help and a standard script. As a free trial it was good because I didn’t get sucked in to pay for something that didn’t work and didn’t get the advertised support.

Bad App. This app caused havoc with my IPhone 6sPlus!! Restricted any internet behaviour, couldn't access emails, search on safari was prevented. Not to mention the off switch wouldn't work and was twitching on and off. Poor app for security basically disables any internet activity and had to remove the app to restore my phones Internet use.

Avast review. We have used AVAST VPN And the security scanner apps on 5 devices(MAC , IPads and IPhones) now for several years and have had no problems. When I have queried things ... very rarely ... the response to my query has always been a few hours at most ( note:- we live in Melbourne Australia ) so day here is night in the UK. Highly recommend AVAST products.

Disappointed. As a VPN it seems to work as they did 4-5 years ago. It’s out of date. As you set yourself to other areas, any large corporation and all governments can now track you. Netflix’s is a great way to test this because you can see the results immediately when you log into Netflix. The VPN failed to have me recognized in another country every time. I tried the spots that said best for streaming and the results were the same. Sometimes Netflix wouldn’t even load. Facebook had the same results. It sort of works on small platforms. But if your looking for security and safety and privacy than this is not the way to go.

Works as expected. There were times I did not have the site connected, and though I could do without. Not a good idea, as I got more spam etc. than I wanted - so back to keeping VPN on. There were one or two sites that I had to turn VPN off as they would not load - these were sites that I use all the time for information; no idea why they wouldn’t load, have sent info to those sites to question, but otherwise I now keep VPN on. The only downside I have with the VPN, says it will cover my other Apple products - covers my phone, iPad, but cannot get it to cover my MACBook Air. Frustrating. On the whole I would reccommend this product as it does what it says it does.

A truly must to have PEACE OF MIND. Avast for sure covers everything and keep you safe everywhere! My only concern/advice is towards the amount of on screen pop ups and notifications from the apps regularly and daily. I believe the reason of all that noise is because avast is not the kind of app to go to everyday, one wouldn’t spend hours on it everyday , wouldn’t make one laughing happy (would make one cry after the fact realizing that one should have had when needed tho), it needs to find a way to become noticeable everyday and every time and it can be annoying sometimes. Amazing.. The fictional city’s, such as Gotham city, and wonderland will always work on Netflix. They are for the US, And UK, however they are always updating!! Hope to see Canada soon (Calgary is kinda central and has the most money so best option for streaming ;)

Best VPN. I literally use this on all of my devices. Most people say that VPN slow your device but that’s not the case for this VPN! It’s fast, reliable (duh), and really easy to use, with many location s to connect to. I cannot see myself using another VPN other than Avast VPN. Only US and Germany bases work for Netflix. The Wonderland server in the UK doesn't work on Netflix anymore and they haven't fixed it. I've their support team many times and they just keep telling me to use other servers!

VPN and Other Apps…. When SecureLine works, it works well. Unfortunately it seems to be affecting the launch of many of my mobile apps, delaying or stalling their opening. I have to go into Settings and click off VPN (which then switches back to the on position by itself) and scroll back to the affected app. The app then launches and functions properly. It is almost like I am resetting or rebooting VPN to get it to play well with others. This problem happens several times a day on all my mobile devices (iPhone and iPad).

DOESNT stay connected. Constantly have to check to see if it’s connected ur not. Don’t be renewing at this point

Low to fair. The connection is lost frequently. Rogers seems to detect it and associates it with copyright infringement. This complicates using it. As soon as I installed it Rogers txt me and said I had made 13 copyright infringements in 30 minutes. This made no sense since all I did was install it and go to sleep. 13 in 30 minutes also seemed impossible. I may have to switch back to an old VPN company that was getting expensive if this can’t be resolved.

Scam. Downloaded this app and was charged for a 1 month subscription. Could not activate the app and was charged for a second month. May have to cancel my credit card so I don’t get charged every month for absolutely nothing. I do not recommend this app, had techies try to help but we were unable to make this app work. Only gave it one star to get this review posted However I would rate it less than zero if that were possible.

Not free! Very miss leading. I’m not sure if this product works or not but I don’t like the way they do business. It says "free download!" all over the place, but to actually use it you have to agree to a yearly subscription right off the bat. They automatically charges you after 7days. I know a lot of companies do this, but I feel it is misleading and sneaky. Do you really want to have your security handled by a sneaky company? Not me.

Do not purchase. The software developer has no clue what a vpn is on the basis that for the past two years the vpn disconnects each minute and does not reconnect without maintaining a secure connection. This product is a complete rip off and waste of money since this issue is NOT CORRECTED FIX IT. Avast rather then boiler plate a response telling me to go fill out a form and request that I revise this review. FIX YOUR PRODUCT.

Scam app. It lies and says you have 7 days free when you sign up and can cancel any time before being charged. Well I immediately canceled within the hour because I did not like how much it slowed down my internet connection! And then I immediately got charged for a month subscription after canceling!

It shows me in another country. Every time I’m Connected to the vpn, I can’t google search. Every google search I do it shows up in another currency in a different part of the world. It’s very very annoying. Not sure why it can’t have me look like I’m in a different part of the USA?

Haven’t been able to connect. Every time I try to open the app and connect I get a message “can’t connect the server did not respond”. I paid for a year and haven’t been able to connect yet. I’ve always used avast and have been satisfied so this is frustrating.

Was working great for a while…. This VPN was terrific initially. In the last two weeks, my phone identifiers as if I am in London. All of my apps display pounds as opposed to US dollars. I receive security alerts indicating someone is utilizing my phone in London. It is very frustrating because I cannot turn this off/fix this.

I feel safer. In today’s crazy world, it’s nice to have a little peace of mind. I travel a lot and it’s great to be online and know I’m hard to track.

Does Not Work For Me. Called and emailed Avast support. No results. Will not shut off on my iPhone. Trying to use internet I get “No Internet Connection”, and that’s right…none. Trying to use the phone, it rings a couple of times and quits. Worthless!!!! On my MacBook Pro it does NOT load, it just keeps trying. Very hard for me to accept positive reviews, especially with nothing to help from Avast!

Privacy issues. Every time i turn around there’s some new privacy policy from you guys. The whole purpose of a VPN is to secure your online activity and keep them private. You guys are collecting user information and selling it to the highest bidder. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I can't wait until my subscription ends.

In the last few months, whenever I try to connect to WiFi, avast secureline tries to keep connecting to servers in the background perpetually and does not let me connect to the WiFi. I have removed and reinstalled quite a few times but to no avail. Piece of trash product. And a waste of my money and time!

Auto connect killing the connection. 👾 * auto connect is killing the connection so VPN stop working when auto connect is on ** unable to see “Exclude cellular” in connection Rules [it use to be there before this update] *** the VPN keep switching to 4G since its disconnecting from Wi-Fi randomly I used iPhone XS Max and iPad pro The app in iOS is a little worse than the one in the iPad os. I tried to reset network and added and removed the profile several times. It’s clearly need an update to support it. I will wait for it because I believe in you guys. Not worth the money. It did not mask my location properly preventing me from using certain streaming apps while deployed. It also straight up stopped working and kept stating that “it could not connect because I was not connected to the internet” which was not true because I would be serfing the web while it was saying that. I switched to ExpressVPN and got everything I wanted.

Slow and disconnects a lot. Really bogs down speed and watch your connection. It disconnects a lot. Some days every few minutes (so I switch to a free WPN that manages to stay connected). If these issues aren’t resolved I won’t renew.

Avast VPN. Excellent product! Easy to use and gives me a feeling of security on all of my devices. Recommend it to others.

Bad VPN. The vpn is quite bad. I constantly got banned and blocked on many sites, couldn’t open App Store, or use a handful of apps (bot protections) while the VPN was on, and it was incredibly slow making it unbearable to use. Switched VPN services and all my issues stopped.

Works for me.. I use it on my phone. Never had a problem. Gives me piece of mind when I go places I feel like going at a moments notice. Freedom!

No point. I've tried many VPN's over the past couple of years, I thought subscribing to a good reliable antivirus software developer wouldn't hurt. I was wrong, there are multiple free VPN's that work faster and better than Avast, I can't even get the VPN's to connect to its own server. There are better options out there, thanks for a waste of money.

Refund requested. I did not authorize this purchase. I specifically requested that it be deleted when the “free 2 weeks” was up. But the charge appeared on my bank account and have not been refunded although I have requested a refund several times. I do not want it and I do NOT want to pay for something I am not using! Apple and Avert are easy to charge but not forthcoming when they make a mistake!

Do your research!. Been kicked off twice.. just paid today. iPhone S6 plus.. home computer is working fine but phone is not what I expected. If I pay for it, I want good results. Phone I got kicked off VPN within 5 mins.. I’m glad I only paid for 1 year. Need to do more research to get what I pay for at this point.

Rating. Not the most user friendly platform very basic. You have to jump though hoops to get it to truly pause so you can do some things. Also uses a substantial amount of power just to run and on pc really sows things down showing almost 99% use of processor. Probably would not buy again.

Can’t link subscription to other devices, ipad, iphone. Continual roundabout because I don’t know my password and the “trouble signing in?” link takes me to their home page. I’ve given hundreds of dollars to this company for various products. All will be cancelled at the end of the year when the subscription runs out.

Poor.... Having use this product for number of years, I was surprised to find out that I had issues when I purchased a new IPhone X. Their customer/technical support was unable to resolve my concerns and problems. I had no choice but to go with another product. The kicker is I had over a year remaining on my original subscription and customer service is refusing to refund even a portion of that amount.

Great unless you game. I love this app. Great VPN. Not as many servers to choose from, but streaming specific options are available. Recent updates have prevented certain games from properly connecting regardless the server selected.

A trustworthy review. For the most part the VPN works well. I have had a few little problems, but I have been pleased by the way the app has protected my privacy.
