Hot mess. I have used this as stroke and turn and timer. I really wanted to love it as the concept is great. However it is a huge ordeal to use. Every meet we use it at has delays due to the app not working. The coaches don’t know who is DQed so we have to take breaks to tell them. This is so much slower than paper and pen.

Good idea, terrible in reality. Way too many issues with this thing. Stick with TM & MM for all of your summer meets. Way too many resets, way too many delays. You don’t want to deal with connectivity & syncing issues in he middle of a meet. This app is a hard NO. I wouldn’t recommend this to any team or conference for use. TM & MM are solid, proven, tried and true. Don’t waste your time with this hassle of a system.

Being a timer is so easy. Great app. Love that I don’t have to start every race. The automatic start saves me from copying my fellow lane timers result or screaming for a head timer 😂

Nice!. Lots of nice features

Horrible and ruins meets. We have now suffered through 2 meets using this app and I cannot stress how bad they have gone. Timers continue to struggle and the meet starts and stops for them to reconnect. There is no flow and kids end up sitting in the sun burning. I have never seen so many swims have to be redone because the times never started, stopped or they can’t save it. The starter then reboots and we sit around for 15-30 minutes while they test and talk. The issues with timing and the app led to an extra few hours for the first meet and today after 5 hours we had just made 50% through it. This was a small meet that rarely had 2 heat. People started to just leave and the starters we trying to find enough stop watches to just stop using this app. I hope the teams agree to stop using this app and use anything else. Stop watches and paper would be a HUGE improvement which defeats the purpose of this app.

Excellent Service. Love this app/service. Our county swim league had used Meet Central for several years. Not only has it cut down on the paper and length of our swim meets, it drastically reduced the number of volunteers required to run the meet. The service is excellent, someone on the Meet Central team is always willing & ready to help. Highly recommend!

The BEST!. Our club uses Swimmingly and we will never go back to stopwatches. Parents love it! Amazing customer service as well 👏 Even better in our second season!

Great System. Transitioning into this system does come with a learning curve, as is true with anything new, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fabulous. Way easier to manage than the clipboard/data entry system of the past. Our parent volunteers love using it. Very user friendly!

Love the app. It was time for this. Easy to use and can see tons of possibilities with Meet Central. Super cool!

Most useful app on my phone. Meet Central is more than the app. The entire system is a welcome and needed update to the sport of swimming and will continue to revolutionize the administration and overall experience of swim meets. The app is how the user interacts with the Meet Central system. It’s very simple and intuitive and delivers a great user experience. In the summer swim season, it is the most useful app on my phone.

Well put together UI and Backend. Well designed, 5/5 would recommend for anyone. Our summer league is fully on this system.

Great Company Great Application. Wow, what can I say. This makes setting up a meet so much easier, and very flexible. No more late nights creating heatsheets! and meet changes are no issue at all. Somebody put a great deal of thought into this product. If you're not using Swimmingly, you should rethink life decisions....

Meet Central: Huge Fail!!. I was the starter at a swim meet using Meet Central tonight and it was, to be kind, a boondoggle. The system has too many failure points to be a viable product. We stopped using the system after multiple fails (meaning starter getting knocked off of the system; watches/iPhones not starting; timers phones dropping off of the system. We switched to manual watches and completed our meet, but you can imagine the results are a mess because Meet Central does not integrate with Meet Manager. To the developers: it is completely unreasonable to expect timers to not switch out of the app at some point in the meet. You are not going to change the way people use their phones. You need to develop an app that fits into the current iPhone ecosystem. Developers: Why does everybody use the same Huddle number? What happens if multiple people try to join as “starters?” Developers: The starter and the meet ref should be able to see how many timers and stroke and turn judges are connected to the system. Developers: Why does it take so long for you to get 16 timers logged into the system? Me thinks Meet Central developers have never worked on transaction processing systems that need to be highly reliable and fault tolerant. If you are a swim team, my advice is that this system is way too unreliable to use at this point.

Game changer for swim meets. This will be the second year our clubhouse has used swimmingly! I love how highly efficient it is! Saves so much time vs the manual way!

5 star company. This company is improving the overall meet experience for everyone. Parents, coaches, officials, fans, and swimmers. The best part of this app is the customer service that comes with it.

This is outstanding!. Our summer swim team has used this system for two years and it is awesome! Meets run so much smoother and faster! I am sure it will only get better each year!

Doesn't work. I have a newer and updated IPad and it it's not compatible. Getting this system up and running is a huge headache.

Takes forever to get times. I like the app, but the meets are basically over by the time race results start coming in. Doesn’t matter if you’re on WiFi of cellular.

What a pain in the a**. Always seems to have issues in the middle of a meet. Takes a lot of battery life - so you live in fear of losing juice in the middle of the meet. Easy to make mistakes and enter the wrong swimmer. So many issues with the app so far. Good idea - but after three seasons of using this app I am SOOOOOO ready to go back to stopwatches, pen, and paper.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. This app and system changed the way I run my entire league. It has saved me up to 5 hours of admin time for each meet, anyone can use it, and kids get results immediately. I print my ribbons right from the app and I’m done! Total game changer for us.

swimming should not be this complicated. My swim team has used swimmingly for about 3 years now and we will admit - the idea is amazing. But the execution is done extremely poorly. Heat sheets have swimmers never seated right and swimmer’s times are always wrong and usually random numbers. I would not recommend the switch to swimmingly because it will make your swim team life harder and create more problems then you need.

Love the App. I could not recommend this app and system more for swim meets. Specially, it is the perfect way to run a summer meet in a timely fashion with less volunteers. I had the pleasure of working with Charlie and Hayes and could not recommend them more. Things went “Swimmingly!”

Best thing since sliced bread “On Deck” and in the Clubhouse!!!. This will be our 3rd season using Meet Central and we absolutely love it. When I first heard about it, I thought it was gimmicky, but then after looking into the program, it It has become a HUGE asset to our swim team. We have been able to cut back the number of volunteers it takes to run a meet, but the biggest feature if that it’s virtually paperless!!! No more having lane timers trying to write down swimmers names or times - all the while getting all the paper splashed and wet. All they need to do now is sit back and relax, and when a swimmer finishes, just tap the iPhone (and now android is supported), enter the swimmers unique 3 digit ID and their time is sent to the scorer. And if there are issues, the scorekeeper can easily make any adjustments on the iPad. Then throughout the meet, we can print ribbon labels for both teams and just stick them on the ribbons and be done with it by the end of the meet and not have to deal with it later that night or next day. It’s really made our parents WANT to volunteer for timers now!! We have shaved about 45-60 minutes off the length of our regular dual meets and Parents really love that benefit of using Meet Central. Yes, there is some technology involved... But it’s not anything the average parent volunteer can’t easily learn quickly. And the staff at Hydroxphere are always willing to help out and even ask and take our suggestions for upgrades and improvements to the program for the next season. Highly Recommend!. Our league has used Meet Central for several years now, and it just keeps getting better and better. As with any change there were some growing pains at the beginning, but I can attest that if you stick with it you will never go back to all the paper and manual entry. It has truly been a game changer at every level, from the individual teams to administration of the league as a whole.

Not worth it. Nothing runs smoothly with this app or it’s web version. Totally frustrating and not worth the fees.

It was time for this app. My kids love summer swimming and now the parents love using this app to run the meets. Very simple, definitely created for our neighborhood swim meets! Hayes was always helpful on the phone if we had a question :)

Too many issues. Meet central has potential however there are too many issues to recommend this to others. The system is marketed to eliminate volunteers however it takes the same number, requires tech savvy volunteers to run a meet smoothly, and volunteers to print and process ribbons. It seems difficult to use with a league that has different configuration of pools with regard to the number of lanes and the length of the pools (meter vs yard pool). To run adequately you will need a dedicated iPad to run the meet, an iPhone or iPad for both the starter and stroke judge, and timers who have iPhones. All devices must not have charging issues (an Apple ongoing complaint). Sprint carrier iPhones are inferior and will not work with the system. The starter's cord did not work for us. To maximize the system both teams must be subscribers. Customer service is inconsistent to say the least if not insubordinate to the "customer ". They need field customer service agents to support their subscribed team's first couple of meets to assure a smoothly run meet.

Awesome App. I love how the app keeps track of meets and your swimmers progress. It breaks down how they have grown over time and also their results from previous seasons.

First use of Swimmingly. This app was fabulous. For a beginner, I found it very simple to use. With the synchronized start, The timers were totally together and no one missed a beat. I would highly recommend that swim teams use this “EZ to use” APP.

We love it. So easy!. Our league has been using Swimmingly for a few years now and they continue to add great features that we ask for each year. Makes our volunteer lives so much easier and actually fun!

It's just easier. Makes you change the way you do some things during the meet, but for the better. It attracted new parents and fresh turnover with volunteers at our team which is very welcome.

Great idea execution needs work. Great concept. Not user intuitive, need a dedicated individual at every meet to go over set up and use, which is counter productive to saving time. No way to enter times manually if the system doesn’t work for whatever reason. There’s always errors. Meet entry is good but that’s where it stops.

SO SIMPLE!. First time user at a meet this weekend. Can honestly say our team will never go back to the old, manual, paper system. Absolute game changer for our summer league. We were able to combine heats and events with ease and got rid of all the handing off of paper 😍💯 Thanks for amazing customer support from the Swimmingly Team!

Great User Experience. This app meets my teams needs and improves productivity in during our seasons lifecycle.

MC Upgrades. From the second version to what Is out there now, can’t wait to use the next software generation. It has gotten easier. Hopefully with the next generation, the length of the meets will shorten. A beta version would be nice to play with.

Very nice. Great for summer swim and mock meets!!!!. Drop dead simple.

Ok app. This would be much nicer if there was a coaches tab so they could keep splits and really nice if there was a spectator tab so parents can follow times and the meet score during the event.

What a life savor for our volunteers!. I am the starter/ref at swim meets in our league. All 22 teams use Swimmingly to run their meets and I can’t begin to tell you how many headaches this app continues to save me. Teaching the volunteers before the meets is a lot of fun and the timers truly enjoy it. Can you imagine not having to worry about a start...ever? Amazing. Of course with any new technology there is a learning curve! It is so much easier to learn than what is out there today. Not to mention, the Swimmingly team has the BEST support whenever you need it!

Love this app for our swim team!. We switched this year and just ran our first meet with amazing success. Thank you to Swimmingly for making such an impact to our sport that has needed change! Meets are faster and most importantly, volunteers are happy!

Ideal for scoring our swim meet. I score our home meets and we use to use time cards and paper. People don't realize the hours of my time that was required to hand enter data. This is the way it should be. So simple!

Best way to run a swim meet!. I am a supervisor for a local governmental agency and we are host to a variety of swim teams and programs. We have been running our recreation swim team through CARA and up until we made the switch to Swimmingly, we were still seeding and heating our meets using the pink and blue cards! Using Swimmingly has been the best programming transition that we have ever made. We have already saved time and money as well as running out meets more effectively and efficiently. Parents love being able to see results, having a record of their kids times, and love volunteering to help with meets! Meets are fun and well organized now because everyone has the same information and the same tools to share the information! Teaching parents and kids how to use the app was easy and super user friendly! There are videos and lots of information to help walk you through the set up of a meet and how to run a meet effectively and set up is so much easier than using touch pads! Support staff is awesome, helpful and available. We appreciate them for and all their help in making this change. Awesome staff, awesome app!

Get. This. System.. Cannot recommend Meet Central highly enough. Has made our summer swim meets so much more efficient! Software is much easier to use, and the Hydroxphere team is very responsive. Once you try Meet Central, you will NOT want to go back!! Makes everything from deck entries to viewing results much easier.

Game Changer!. Meet Central has been a huge game changer in running a swim meet. It has made running a meet so much faster and easier as well as cut down on the number of required volunteers. The app is intuitive to use. Highly recommended.

Head scorer. App works well. Would like a way to easily backup data during meet in case of equipment failure.

Great App/System and Company. The team behind this app has a passion for summer swimming, and a vision for how it can be better for the whole summer swim community. Last year was our first year using the app, and it was a great improvement over the old system. That said, we had a lot of end-of-season feedback about how it could be better. Nice to see a lot of that has been incorporated into version 5.0. Can’t wait to see how things run this year!

Do not use if you care about swimming. Swimmingly is terrible. The timer starts before the buzzer so the times are always 1-2 seconds off. And the moment someone stops a timer the time disappears from the phone so the swimmers have to wait for hours to see how terribly inaccurate the times are. The website and app is terrible to navigate. If you’re a swim club that truly cares about swimming and your club, don’t waste your money on swimmingly, buy some stopwatches and printer ink and compare the times online with other clubs instead. Swimmingly takes the fun out of swimming.
